These days, almost every photo camera can produce excellent video. My Panasonic TZ20 makes High Definition movies with Dolby stereo sound. The only limitation is that it is hardware-limited to 29 minutes. 59 seconds per shot, to avoid import duties in the EU (don't know if this also applies to US models). Not very stealthy, of course.

Hey guys, I have transferred the photos from my phone to my mac, but am unable to post them, I believe its because of the size, I think only 360 kb is permitted and my photos are between 400 and 700 kb. I only have the standard mac software installed, nothing extra, and I'm unable to compress these photos, if anybody has a solution, please advise, or else I'll wait till I get home where I can access a PC. Your mac should have iphoto, they all do. Just export your photos from there. Medium or small should work. Good luck.
Go to your "Preview" application. Tools. Adjust size.
Your iPhoto can do it as well, but if you're not versed in computers, as you seem not to be, then Preview is the easiest way.
It's pretty simple.

Since it moved to EX, it's been a garbage venue catering to the local Chinese and upper class indo teenagers. Gone are the days when we had that great pick up bar with hookers off to the right hand side of the Hard Rock. I used to go to the Hard Rock pretty much every single night when it was at Sarinah. That band they had that I believe was named Asia Reforms was awesome, and it was pretty standard for the bar to be pretty off the hook by 2am with people dancing on top of most of the tables and side bars. Nothing like that happened at EX. The Hard Rock at EX was a snooze fest and a good place to get blue balls. I can get that in the USA, I don't need to go to Jakarta to do it. I imagine with it moving to Pacific Place, it will be just as boring as it was at EX. They should have either moved it back to Sarinah, or moved it to Jalan Pelatehan.

Are you taking pictures with your mobile? I suggest you go out and purchase a compact camera. I am using a Panasonic Lumix and am getting pretty good results, even in poor lighting conditions. The main advantage of compact cameras is their automatic focussing.

It can be a worthwhile exercise visiting some of the satellite cities surrounding Jakarta for those who feel like some adventure.

06. When it comes to R & R, remembering my drafted years, in the early 70's, assigned to DaNang, South Vietnam, with my unit, every single "boom-boom" was without any "rain-coat" whatsoever. Then, there, in the tender age of 21 years old, I learnt that most Asian women / girls will readily gives you everything, as long as you can capture their "heart" with your full respect towards the women / girls.

having battled my way through the 1cm deluge that was jalan hayam waruk i stopped off at the cherry spa in mangga besar, a real hit and miss kind of a place and wednesday afternoon was a real miss so i had a beer and left. i'd done oasis the weekend before and although the massage therapist gave a good fs i was in the mood for something different. i headed for madonna bar but before i got there i was greeted by a "hallo mister" from a winsome thing eating mie goreng from brown paper while atop a motorcycle parked in the muddy street outside. well you can't refuse such an eloquent offer in a vision of paradise like that can you? so after a brief conversation with the bloke i hadn't noticed squatting beside her (owner of bike presumably) we were off to the olympic hotel for a bit of afternoon delight.
a couple of hours later i was able to resume my interrupted passage to the madonna, a whole twenty-five bucks the poorer. jakarta, jakarta, don't ever change.

01. My last posting, when I was in Jakarta, was about ICA, on 09 Jan 2014.
02. Was, again, at my usual "hunting ground" of Blok M Plasa, got this very original kampung [village] lovely girl, who came to Jakarta, directly from her kampung in Solo, looking for a job, just 2 weeks ago.

02. My personal experience, here in Indonesia, most of the Kampung Girls, were married-off around the moment they start having their "period", around the age of 13 or 14 years old.
