Will be visiting DXB next week and am staying in the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel. Searched the forums but cant find any mention of the place so don't know if its girl friendly or not. Anyone know? I've heard it has a decent bar called Double Deckers. Is there any WG's in there?

Thanks in advance

Hey that's my idea! But I'm offering a whole floor, decorated boudoir/harem style, with tasteful red and black furnishings. Maid included. Okay, kidding. The maid had to go, she was too attractive and Miss Wildcat was waiting for her to make one little mistake. She came back from a Christmas party after a few drinks and smiled at me in that sort of way. Mistake.

But seriously, I'm trying to help out a forum mate who gave me a lot of good info via PM about BKK and resulted in a super-cutie in my first hours there.
Piper,

I just checked three minutes ago, and the Sheraton Dubai Creek is the cheapest (!) of the Sheraton properties at 755++ per night starting Monday, the Four Points was 825++. Nobody would compare the two hotels as far as quality goes... Dubai Creek is way better (as a hotel) but 4 points is more GF. Go figure, could be that everyone knows the 4 points is a better venue (GF and local) compared to Dubai creek (or this could just be a market blip.)

I do not blame the hotels for getting the best rate they can in the circumstances, but this is clearly a case of "squeeze what you can from the market."
I saw rates online (starwoodhotels.com/ fourpoints/search/hotel_detail.html?propertyID=1230) and booked Four Points a day back for 455 + tax per nite for jan 15th to 17th. Not sure why it is cheap.

In my travels last night I made a couple of enquiries at reception on behalf of someone else.

Astoria is definitely not GF anymore due to their recent "police problems". Reception wouldn't elaborate. Currently quoting 680/night. One of Astoria's Bars has also been closed down (pool table bar) - police problems?

A mate I was with last night confirmed Astoria's non-GF status. He told me he managed to sneak a gal in a few weeks ago, and security came up an hour later and insisted she leave (He proudly told me it was a cute young blonde we both know and he had a crush on. Turns out it was my young blonde freebie from a few weeks ago. I didn't have the heart to tell him I had her calling out my name repeatedly in her comfy bed recently. He and I saw her last night in York with her new BF, the naughty little butterfly).
_______
Admiral Plaza - GF - no problems, no extra charge if you book a double room 700. Single is 650.

Was not able to follow up what happened next.

Depends on your travel dates. The same 455 Dhs room is 825 in Mid-Feb.

Take note of what Bizzie says, the rates are changeable by the hour, indeed I payed your rate last year for a suite! (seriously low season obviously.)

I too have some experience with the "free internet" costing extra. Websites say free, desk says pay. All you can do is complain after the fact to corporate. I personally choose not to complain as they are very GF if you are reasonably discrete. YMMV.

The checking of ID at 2am does not mean it is not GF! If they had come in at an hour when any of the food and or beverage outlets were still open, they would not have said anything. The hotel is simply doing a CYA play, and to be honest, I can understand this.

My advice? ALWAYS return at an hour (unless you have a regular who you can pass off as a wife, albeit unregistered) when the restaurant is open.

At SOME hotels, I have regulars who can stroll in at any hour, with or without me, and get nothing more than a friendly nod from security. :)

Have you tipped the doorman lately? ;)

Any comments on the Desert Rose Apartment Hotel in Bur Dubai ? This is across from Ramada and right next to the Spinneys. I stayed there on a non-mongering trip and noticed they have a back entrance from the parking lot to the hotel. Please let me know if any one has had any luck (or bad luck !) with bringing ladies back. Thanks.

Yes and no. I was there for one night about two years ago as the Winchester (my regular long term stay) was over booked and I was on a one day flying visit. For this reason and this reason only I was 'allowed' a guest (Natalie No5) as I threatened a major row when challenged at reception. passport copy was required but no 'fee'. Very much an Indian run joint. not reccommended.

I stayed in the Ramada Bur Dubai two weeks back. Both nights I brought a lady in around 2am and they said nothing. No request for passport or visa copy, just a smile as we passed to the lifts. Two great nights, then I had to get back to work for some rest:)

Funcruise, since 11Bravo is obviously asleep at the wheel (or resting up for an athletic Wednesday night) please allow me to jump in with an emphatic RTFF!

Exactly ONE page back, on this very thread, our venerable member JSF posted that it was indeed a friendly establishment. Cyclone: It is located exactly one taxi ride distance from your hotel. ;)

If you are new (and you are) and you really want an answer (I presume you do) I suggest you invest just a smidgen of time in at least reading the "Reports of distinction" thread, which details years of distilled information.

Invest the 15 minutes reading (even if you move your lips while doing so.)
It is your own best interest. Trust me.

How difficult can it be? Search engine, "sondos", provides 15 hits, not including this one. Of course, it is skewed by people who double post questions. But it still works IF you use it!!!

Al Bostana girls friendly, only one night I had a problem with secuirty. I just flashed my Gold Amex and said vip and off I went.

Got to the room and put the door to do not disturb, just in case someone else at reception recognised me.

I stayed at the Astoria last week. They wanted an original passport and levied a 100 Dh chaarge (which never appeared).

Tent camps, with permission from KSA, have been set up in the Empty Quarter while they disinfect the UAE. EVERYONE must leave; no exceptions (except for the TCN cleaning crews, who, let's be honest, the powers that be don't care about with respect to exposure to dangerous chemicals). All WG's have been flown home (at the insistence of KSA - must remove temptation from these camps).

Yes, this does seem extreme, but any country that can build something like Palm Island and the World, well, daunting challenges are not obstacles.

So, it will do you absolutely NO good to read the hotel thread, nor the Reports of Distinction.

Nothing on the forum, but an INET search found this review...

We got offered this place because of late changes to flight schedules and unavailability elsewhere. Oh boy!!! If you want a choice of four discos / nightclubs roaring on to 4am this could be the place for you. The clientele even throw in a horn concerto at 4:10 am to ensure that you know that they're leaving! DON'T ACCEPT A FRONT ROOM IF YOU WANT A NIGHT'S SLEEP. The main breakfast room is in a room called the Cafe something or other and they've got that bit right - I ate in better greasy spoons when I was "on the thumb" in my younger days! It was authentic leatherette high back seats round the outside and traditional transport caff chairs and tables. To top all of that there's no real alternative eating places for a couple nearby. The area is very popular with migrant workers and there's rarely a lady to be seen, all of which makes for an uncomfortable evening for females. I did read beforehand that the hotel has a pool - it doesn't. It claims it has a minibar in rooms - er like one large bottle of water. Friendly advice - avoid this place.

My suggestion, send an email asking if guests are allowed.

Greetings Mongerers!!
Please take my advice and avoid the Waterfront Appartments on 16th st off Bank Street in Bur Dubai if you require a night venue to enjoy the company of your latest p4p friend...
I made the mistake of checking in there earlier this month for a spot of the above after having made all the usual enquiries as to the reaction of the hotel to accompanying guests etc...
Clever Night Receptionist allowed said guest upstairs only to call me down to the lobby 5 mins later to ask for an additional Dhs 100 - on the basis of hotel policy etc...
My reaction: "Sure, no problem - can you give a receipt?"....."Thought not" and buggered off back to the room and put the phone off the hook!!
Got some dirty looks when checking out the next morning on my way to the airport but but bollox to them!!

Just confirming the GF status of Sheraton Dubai Creek. One girl came up by herself after 'informing' the reception desk that she was visiting me. No phone call no copy of passport!
She could have just walked in with some confidence and no one would have noticed as the place is fairly busy at 11-midnight.
The other one insisted I come downstairs to escort her up. I did. Again, as she was dressed nicely, she could have just walked up without a problem.
It may be different if she comes in at 2 AM with her crotch hanging out;)

Moved to Jocks for early evening scene. lots of regulars augmented by interest in football this evening.

Discretion made me depart Jocks early as my friend was interested in an old 'friend' Margarita. He needed to be on his own ........he has a flight at 0300hrs.

Probably off to Regal once head clears.

Piper,

you joke about renting out your flat / assistance, but look at the economics:

Picked up a russian girl, flats near some new builds around Al-Raffa.

Talking to her after the deed she mentioned that there were 5 ladies sharing the flat, flat owned by a russian, and they paid him AED100 per lady / day. Some quick mental maths and that works out as 3500/week, 182K/year, in any currency that's going to pay the bills!

Aimara,

If I were a single guy and not so busy with my work, I'd consider it, on a limited basis (daily rentals would take up a lot of time, which I don't have, and I wouldn't rent out to just anyone).

I sub-let the ground floor of my relatively large villa in a prime location to a couple of young business guys from Europe who stay here about 4 days at a time each month or so, and they pay half the annual rent. Works out cheaper and more convenient for them than a hotel. They have a full office set-up downstairs, and economically, it's good for them and good for me. Plus, they're great guys, and we party together when they're here (with their circle of girlfriends), so it's all good.

If you check expatriates.com, you'll see a lot of people renting out villas or furnished rooms with internet, TV etc, short-term, as an alternative to hotels. I've placed an ad twice and have been inundated with replies for weeks afterwards.

Finding a place to stay in Dubai is getting harder by the day. Rent has gone up an average 40% in the last year (mine went up 20% just last week). If I were a greedy man, I could cover my whole rent by renting out the ground floor. But I'm not.

cheers

Very odd! Sterling not US$? Were you booking from overseas? Bloody hell!

My rate is normally Dhms 475 + and at Towers sometimes lower. Most I have paid at Towers is Dhms 625 (all up including the taxes etc). Will likely be there next month with a lady or two and will see what the rate is and report back.

Not sure what is on in Dubai at the moment as sometimes these hotels are full due to confrences/exhibitions.

OK, its USD, I pressed the wrong key - sorry. Anyway, after arguing the rate, I went to their website. The website gave me a rate of $165, not great but much better. Unfortunately it was only for two nights and I needed four nights.

So, I booked on line, put in the comments field to extend, then went back to the jobsworth on the reservations desk. She confirmed the reservation had gone through for the with the comment on, then extended (begrudgingly) to the correct number of nights.

Gave the excuse that it was all about "guaranteed bookings" and certain numbers of rooms alloted. Crazy.

I stayed there a couple of days ago and it was ok. Did not have the time or energy to even attempt to find a girl and try to bring her in. I feel the price I got was a little high for the quality of the room. Included in the price was suppose to be R/T trans to and from Airport. However the did not have my ride the next morning when I checked out as scheduled and the wake up call that I ask for was never delivered. They advertise free broadband but the truth is they only give you 60 mins. Also the room had a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom. So overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Found a cute CIS in Rockafellas, settled on 800 Dhs LT. No problems at reception, asked for copy of pasport, no extra money or no extra charges on the bill.

GF all the way. YMMV.

So I am staying at the Hyatt Regency (till Tuesday) and no troubles with girls according to the bell boys .. no additional cost and just standard copy of passport. Am a bit annoyed at lack of any girls staying in the hotel but oh well, such is life. Bell Boy was telling me they had them before the reinovation but the new management clamped down (which I read as wasn't getting a cut). So far I am extremely unimpressed with The Premiere night club, Hibiki's, and Carpenters. Crap choice of women and they don't even manage to redeam themselves as interesting bars.

So couple questions for the regulars:

- Have did most of my mongering in Yugoslavia and Amman, prefer the low maintenance GFE girls, whether pimped, slaved, hotel staff, or independent. Just not a fan of the large complexes, houses, or high use tourist girls (read most of the clubs I have heard of in Dubai). Any pointers on the less trodden girls? Not looking to expend much effort this way.

- On completely unmongering note, what the hell is there to do in Dubai? Been here 2 days now and my trip was just extended another 4. Well traveled enough site-seeing really doesn't intrestest me anymore unless its unique (downtown looked nice with its spiral towers but thats about it) .. same shit, different location .. all cities start to look alike.

- In line with previous comment, do people dive in Dubai and if so anybody have any contacts / is it still to cold?

- To continue, out of clothes (only brough enough for a day or two as was the orginal plan) and most folk in Dubai are dressing nicer than I brought :) ... any pointers on where to grab some halfway decent fashionable clothes that won't break the bank (though I am not a pauper either). Not looking at going to the Mall of Dubai either.

- Any place one can go just chill and drink, a nice relaxing dive or something. Don't want to dressed up, get reservations, serve food, or any such jazz. Just relax and get plastered, maybe some decent conversation. A jazz joint would be especially nice. Speaking of which, the Hyatt isn't exactly the most friendly crowd, anybody feel like getting a drink .. starting to go stir crazy already even though I have been around the city a couple times already.

NOTE: Yes the Hyatt Regency is overpriced, corp is fronting the bill so indifferent on this one as I didn't have a choice where to stay. The restaurants are nice though, The Kitchen is relaxing, the Lobby Lounge is chill, and Miyako's has some great sushi.

Longer answer: Garage Club is Upstairs - can be good quality working girls. There are many little dark-alley hotels nearby with Indian dancing girls and waitresses - I'm sure some of these clubs would be a goldmine, but I never followed through.

Let us know how it goes.

I have been told, i. e. it is NOT my own experience, it is either a no-go or high additional charge (like extra room or so). In the circmstance I got this statement it was stated all Ramee hotels in U.A.E. are not GF. I made once a negative exprience which one of the hotel of this group. Anyhow, wish you I am wrong and you can tell us more details later. Enjoy your stay.

Felt this was closer to travel info so decided to post it here:

I am on my way to Singapore from Europe and I was thinking of using Emirates Air as a opposed to my usual carrier Singapore Air. I have to to make a stop in Dubai, of course, but all else being equal, is Emirates a good carrier? Does it have the video monitors in every seat like Singapore Air?

Irish Lad
03-20-06, 18:47
Emirates are pretty good although not as good as their reputation.

Each seat has it's own video screen which plays "set screenings" but the newer planes have ICE which means you can watch what you want whenever you want.

Just some thoughts about some airlines flying into DXB from Europe.

Coach:
I like Emirates, decent sized seat and reasonable legroom (certainly more than BA.) Nice IFE
Air France is not awful, but the planes are older A-300īs out of CDG. Small IFV screens
BA: coach is cramped, Econ plus is ok but quite a bit more money.
Swissair was ok, again not the legroom of Emirates. Screens not huge
Alitalia fly some ancient worn out 767īs out of Milan, avoid if possible. NO seat video, just the overhead monitors.
Sri Lankan: The planes and stews are fine, the fellow passengers are not. Total scrum getting on or off, stews cannot control pax. Mayhem. So-so IFE
Gulf Air: Actually not that bad once you are in the air. Decent IFE
KLM out of AMS flys MD11 and 777 to DXB. MD11 has a less dense seat layout (2-4-3) vice the 777 (3-4-3) both are ok for a 7 hour flight. Decent IFE.

Biz:
BA flat bed is nice if just a little short. Layout means someone may crawl over you. Kids in Biz class are a menace. If on a 747 (rare) book the upper deck (rows 80-85 or something)
Emirates: Used to be no beds but it has been a while, seats ok, nothing special.
Swiss:Nice, fine for a 7 hour flight.
Alitalia: OLD, OLD OLD 767 out of Milan. Subpar all the way.
Gulf Air: Reasonable seat, nothing special.

1st:
No complaints on any airline but BA is always quite nice in 1st.
Really, any 1st is going to be decent.

Both Thai Air and Royal Jordanian also have excellent business classes into Dubai. Would actually put Royal Jordanian ahead of any other carrier I have ever flown worldwide for seat space. You are pretty much sitting in a massive lazy boy recliner and only 6 seats wide. I can stretch out flat and still have room to roll around in and I'm 6 foot.

As the other poster stated, Emirates is overrated. Flown both their econ and business classes and def was unimpressed with both.

Avoid Aeroflot or Iraqi Air into Dubai ... both flying death traps just waiting to fall from the sky due to maintenance issues.

Economy Emirates everytime, excellent. Great staff good seats and ICE system;

Emirates business not so good, I often go to Europe and Manila business and frankly the seating needs to be improved. Emirates are upgrading to flat beds ala BA. Superb loyalty scheme including egate cards for passport control in Dubai.

BA sucks both in business and cattle. Staff have attitude. Loyalty club is crap.

MK and I both use Emirates a lot so we both think it is great, first class is very nice, great loyalty scheme, nice staff and friendly crew.

BA - last trip 2 weeks ago was OK, flat bed but I am a big lad and was a bit disappointed that anyone over 6ft is not properly catered for. But that said it was OK, staff older, more of an attitude (excluding the gays stewards) and less friendly.

But I have always liked Singapore Airlines just don't go there enough and as I fly EK so much would always choose them over anything else.

In Abu Dhabi-Etihad is not bad either, nice flat beds, but as I slpet all but 15 mins from Europe last week can't say too much else!

LUFTHANSA - the upgradet planes (like flight to Munich) with new and really improved Business class sky beds is (on my opinion) on good money for value relation, beside this you can obtian sometimes good Corp.Rates with them

Ones I tried OK (czech Airlines) because of their realy chep price ...C Class Venice/DBX - RT Euro 1.200... well not bad, clean plane, nice passengers and staff but ...terrible connection...

Avoid Austrian which fit you into a 737 with 2+2 seats but not worth the price ( I guess it was around € 1.700 or so) too.

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Metropolital Hotel in Dubai is really guest friendly. There is absolutely so problem with staff.

In fact I stumbled over a really great bar and restaurant that is part ofthe hotel complex and overflowing with beautiful women waiting to pamper you. The girls are mostly Asian but some others are available also. It is called the Rattle Snake Bar and Restaurant and is situated behind the main hotel building. You can go and hang out there and enjoy the view and a few beers or you can swing by and pick up some company and head to your room.

For me I don't like to lead the woman through the lobby in case I meet a colleague or some one I know. In this place you can make the arrangements, close the deal and leave only to have the chosen woman knock on your room door ten minutes later.

This is a buzzing happening place with lots on offer.

I tried finding Nihal Hotel last night - no luck. I should've done a quick search before heading out. It's next to Marriot in Deira, Maktoum Street, near clocktower. Rumour has it there are Filipino WGs in the nightclub. Will check it out next week. The girls in the band look good (see pics on website). Anyone been to the club there?

Marhaba services have been mentioned here briefly. 60DH ($17) for use of their lounge, including food, drinks, internet, TV. Well worth it.

It is divided into two main areas, one more or less like Cyclone, only better, and the other half, behind the floor to ceiling one-way mirror wall is for "one handed" types who like to watch others do what they can only dream of (sort of like the photo section right here!)

Piper & Sporadic ... maybe we have said too much about the Hotel Fantasia in Dubai. It is kindof low profile, I think because of the authorities. It's owned by a Turkish group that has a "special" arrangement in Dubai. The Turkish part of the chain can be found at http://www.fantasia.com.tr/.

These so calleed totally flat seat in Lufthansa (new planes) and Singapore, are not really totally flat and are not necessarily more comfortable.
While the seat is totally 'straight', it is angled (not flat at 180 degree), so you tend to slide down the seat when you try to sleep. It does a number on your back.
I always keep the seats somewhat bent to find a position comfortable enough to sleep.

EK economy is beter than most.
Like Singapore, Thai and Lufthansa for business class (better attitude of the Germans in Business than Economy!).

Oh comon Jamps - RTFF - this is one of the best forums on the site full of good info and guidance and you are on the wrong thread. Go to reports of distinction and read. Ok, I was sharp.

Actually Zinc in the CP is not bad for non p4p. You get free entry with your room card ( I actually have one of each of the 4 colours and simply find out what colour is being used this week and get free entry!).

I would always recommend the Regal for p4p, but i like CIS blondes. Dubai dosent start before 11pm. Weekends (Wed Thurs) are crap too busy.

Piper1
03-28-06, 20:52
Zinc is one of those non-P4P places in Dubai that actually has P4P - each time I've been there, my WG Radar has spotted at least 5 or 6 obvious WGs amongst the crowd - usually sitting at one of the bars alone, or with another WG or at the long table near the entrance. I gave up on Zinc ages ago because the music is twice as loud as Seaview. Ouchy ouchy.

Crowne Plaze is GF - at least it was when I visited there for carnal delights a few months ago.

Picked a looker blonde Russian (9) age 23yrs and agreed full night Dh 1300 from Cyclone.I know it is on high side but due to time constraints on my departure time decided not to negotiate for a futher reduction.Had a good night overall and because of her age she was on the go all the time until I called it a day.

Cyclone entrance charge was Dh 85 on Thursday and beer was Dh. 33 per bottle.

Before I went to cyclone I tried to get into Regal plaza disco on first floor and was refused entrance because of the hat.Same problem at Imperial suites. It is odd, even Taxi drivers would not stop without my hat.

Anyway trip was successful both business wise and pleasure. Business and pleasure do mix at times.

Ok, not a hotel, more of a hotel apartment. It is located well enough, quite close to Burjumans, more importantly, close to York and Regal. Its not a problem with the night clerk, worst case scenario is pay him 50 dhm. Once you know the guy, its usually a smile and walk on. Better still, use the underground parking and take the lift from there.

I am not sure about the costing, normal studio type is 450dhm and the bigger one is 550. Rates fluctuate depending on your connections. Mine was a client booked one, so thats that.

Negotiating beter rates with women has a penalty for being bald as they think you loaded thus the reason for having to wear a hat inside a club.

In addition it is also one of those few posts which is in the true spriit of why this forum was developed, i.e. to share useful information amongst fellow mongers.

I stayed here on Sunday and Monday night last week. This was my first time to stay here and I want to add my admiration of the hotel guide. It's as good as gold and let me choose this place with confidence.

After calls to my first seven choices produced responses of 'fully booked' or 'honeymoon suite is all that's left for 1500' I finally got this one. I paid 660 total but that was a rate through work. I'm not sure what it usually is.

Most importantly, it was no problem whatsoever guest friendly. The first night with the Chinese girl I wondered if it was because of a diversion at the front with a gaggle of European grandmothers and about 75 suitcases. But the next night it was just me and my Ghanaian girl. All the staff were in their places and all eyes were on us but nobody moved a muscle or said anything.

There's an ok gym here, but the machines were those type where you keep adding weight but it never seems to change the resistance. The pool is also ok and it has a jacuzzi part.

The room itself is nice enough. I had a great view looking out to the gulf and Jumeira (but too hazy now to see much). In-room safe, coffee maker, basket of apples. Beds were a little on the small side though. Others may try asking for a single queen size rather than a couple of twins.

There are some eating places nearby within walking distance. It's not too hot yet but that's changing as we speak.

Mount Royal Hotel in Diera. I don't think its quite stellar in terms of star ratings, but it is cheap. Not sure if its GF.

Reliable sources say this newly opened (not yet finished) hotel is quite nice, good rooms, free wifi internet, good food, close to the golden triangle and GF.

One more option in Bur Dubai.

Hi All,

Firstly, many thanks for the all the info and stories you share with us, I have to say I've become a regular reader on this forum!!

Secondly, I've finally made it do DXB, will be arriving shortly for about 4 days and Ive planted myself at the Deira Residence, Le Meridien (see link below). I've sifted through the pages but can't seem to find any reference to it...its on Makhtoum Road, Deira...not far from the Creek. Its NOT the Al Sandos which is on the other side of the creek.

1 - Is it friendly and.

2 - Where can I pull? I hate the idea of p4p (or at least until 2am by which time its quite likely that l haven't pulled!) so looking to get lucky!

I stayed 2 nights at the Rihab Rotana. As I’ve reported here before the good point of this place is the underground parking garage. It allows you to park, go to the elevator and get straight to your room without passing the front desk. So it’s effectively guest friendly, even though I’ve never actually tried a true walk of shame here. And of course in the June inferno weather it never hurts to have your car under cover.

The rooms are well-appointed. Many of them actually have a washing machine. There’s always a microwave, small cooker, coffee maker, plates and silverware. This time I got a corner room looking out at the airport, great for plane spotting. Aviation fans should ask for this room and bring binoculars. You can hold your breath while the Antonov from Tashkent comes in for a landing.

The pool is rooftop, so it doesn’t suffer from long hours in the shade like at some hotels. It also has a good gym on the top floor. The running treadmills have that same view of the airport.

It’s walking distance to Deira City Centre. As long as it’s not the middle of the day you can walk there without working up too much of a sweat.

Hi Guys,

lastly i've visited the new Grand Hyatt at the Creek Marina.

Seems to be a really very nice hotel, even very well located at the creek.

Does anyone have an idea, if it is girls friendly?
As the reception is right next to the entrance, you have no chance to bring a girl in discreetly.

Also, is the situation in the Al Bustan Rotana still on green light? (or even yellow, that the Girl has to show her passport)?

Thanks guys, have fun

Hi Azerty!

I do not yet have my travel plans, but i think it will not be earlier than November / after Ramadan.
Would be very glad to meet up for a drink or two and chat ...

July/august is mightly too hot to travel and monger (ok, the rooms and clubs have a/c, but outside it's really hot).

Maybe i'll come over with a friend of mine for a 2-3 day "workout" in August.
Would you recommend this or should i wait until the "hot season" is over (October/November)?

Cheers!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, but have been visiting DXB every couple of months for the last 8 years.

Ive been lucky with GF hotels, but never like the moment when you walk in and have to do the passport bit.

I usually stay at Al sondos, and may end up there again in a week, but wanted to get views on Panorama (near ramada) .

It seems GF and the rates allow extra money for entertaining!!.

I read there is also a club there, so maybe walking in with a girl will not raise attention.

Question is,

Is it a comfortable hotel?

Is it an easy process when you bring someone back?

If there is a charge, is it per girl or per day (I expect to be busy twice a day)

Thanks guys.

Go to reports of distinction by 11B for all the info you will ever need. Definitive Dubai Hotel guide (as of Dec 05):
http://www.InternationalSexGuide.info/forum/showthread.php?p=417530

You will still have to show the visa copy - the hotel will get caned in the light of recent LE action if they (and you) are unlucky enough to get caught with an over stayer.

I'm resisting the RTFF remark...

I wouldn't recommend anyone stays at the Panorama. You get what you pay for as always. The club - Fire & Ice is appalling unless you like arabic music, the pub 'Jockeys' has steadily declined over the last 3 years. I am still a member of jockeys but hardly ever go there other than draw nights.

Girls are low quality although you can find the occasional gem.

Look forward to seeing your reports as a fair exchange for the advice by 11B especially as your 3 reports so far are requests for information.

Thats easy TSL, you will be fine. Just post what you think and saw etc, we are not scholars in the UAE just mongers!

Not to worry about the posts that some mongers do regularly. Unlike me (who rarely contributes) Piper and MK are dirty dogs and mongers and post prolifically as they play so much...:)

Enjoy Dubai, you won't get ripped off if you read the board, and follow your gut and not the pork sword (which I admit can be hard at times for most of us in the UAE).

Hope to catch up and say when you are here.

Donīt feel bad, nobody can keep up with the DXB bloggers, where every shot is detailed... ;)

As for the Dog who hates men, have no fear, I have personally weeded most of them out.

Read the reports of distinction and you cannot fail. Keeping your sense of humour will go a very long way in ensuring a fun time.

JimmykFirst Post, Greetings all. I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt the last 4 times visiting DBX since 2004 and there is no problem bringing in 'guests', provided they have their original passport (photocopies will not do), and there is a 'guest' charge of 80Dh per guest. A bit cheeky but its a great hotel and you can get yourself + 3 'guests' in one of the showers :)

Was there for the 7's last in December '05. Apart from the traffic has anything changed? The Cyclone and York have always been favoured hunting grounds, are there any sparkling recommendations at the moment as I arrive tomorrow morning for 3 nights of debauchery. Cyclone always more expensive as I prefer the CIS girls there, York cheaper for when you need your own five-a-side team.

Also could do with any tips/phone numbers for some decent massage action if anyone feels so generously inclined.

Thanks gents.

And remember, never use your real name.

Max Hunter,

To give the regulars a break, I am going to say it in the most polite way, PLEASE read the forum and Reports of Distinction.

In the Reports of Distinction, there is a list of GF hotels (to give you a hint, I stayed at the 4Points, and it was fine - prices vary though), although for prices, you will have to do some leg work, I'm afraid.

I have a general rule before asking anyone any questions - either publicly or by PM - I read back 10 pages of the forum; for an active place like DXB or BKK, I would suggest 20.

Also, all three of your posts have been questions; this is getting old (not just you, just a bunch of newbies asking lots of questions without doing some research first or contributing).

After reading the forum (a minimum of 10 pages) and the RoD, and doing some Internet searches on Expedia or TripAdvisor, you should have the answers to all your questions.

Best of luck, and enjoy DXB.

Hotel Karama is GF, although ID is usually requested and a supplement payable if you are spotted taking the girl in. As I got away with taking the girl in, I do not know what the supplement charge is.

Whilst waiting in the reception between 2am and 3am a few Thursdays ago, there was a considerable amount of activity at the reception, with rooms being given out at whatever they could fetch at.... 400 dhs for the night being one of them.

As the name suggests, the hotel it is not that far from the Karama Shopping centre, and is 3* rated.

Whilst talking to the one of the senior staff, it was mentioned that a senior LE officer books in at this hotel with a WG, at least twice a week.

The best rates from the Sheraton chain can be gotten from the above website if you make the reservation in advance with enough lead time eg 2, 4, or 6 weeks. I havent seen their "best available rate" category beaten by any other travel website. I know someone who got an upcoming trip for AED 425 incl tax and not breakfast at the four points.

Hello mates,

With my limited knowledge of booking hotels, I was curious about what room type to book? If I were to book a single (king size bed still) thats cheaper than the Double on the website, would it be ok to bring 'guests' still? I would reckon it so but better to ask you guys... Whats the benefit of the double?

One king size bed would be enough on my opinion, unless you want to bring 2 girls and you don't want to sleep all in the same bed.
I did it though and the bed was large enough ;-)

Thanks RB2, but by double or single they actually refer to occupancy whilst keeping the bed choice upto you so the combinations become double/single with king bed or double/single with 2 beds.

In such, single king/2 bed rates are always the cheaper than double. Then shall one go for the double or single especially in GF hotels like the 4 points?

Headed to the Premier at the Grand Hyatt nightclub at 12am yesterday. I wasn't there five minutes before my weary eyes came to rest on the most beautiful heavenly creature ever to walk on the earth. She is tall, curvy with waist-long honey bleached hair which she hangs over one side of her shoulder. Almond shaped eyes, beauty spot, all the bits and pieces. When I visited, she was standing on the right hand side of the entrance. Miss A from Romania.

After niceties, and not much negotiation, I agreed to an outrageous sum for “3-4 hours”. There was no way she would give me an LT quote, except to say “if you’re nice to me…” now before you reach for the reply button don't knock me, you weren’t there and I live in Saudi.

Well needless to say that the evening did not start well. Soon after arriving back at the hotel, while barely into my standard seduction routine, she made the mistake of telling me that her promise of staying 3-4 hours was optimistic and that I shouldn't believe pretty girls. Fortunately, although it made no difference in the end, I reacted well and started dressing telling her that I was going to take her back to the club and claim a refund…yeah!? Anyway, an argument, finally leading to a stalemate ensued. At one point, I may have called her sweetie, or darling and she responded with "I'm not a barbi doll and I'm not your darling". So cute. She was right, I had underestimated her ability to be a real *****. Eventually, after renegotiation and several calls to her brutal demanding ‘manager’, I accepted an even more outrageous sum for her to stay until morning. She knew I wasn't going to let her go. Again, don't knock me, you weren’t there and I live in Saudi.

Anyway, I always seem to enjoy the challenge of the feisty ones and it turned out that my instincts proved accurate as she provided one of the most wonderful sensual experiences of my life. I still haven’t come down to earth as I write this 24 hours later.

I have to say that I'm quite experienced, but for the first time, I felt my eyes misting up as I watched her nonchalantly walk into the elevator. I could barely raise a goodbye without croaking as the elevator doors closed. She was gone. Would I see her again?

I'm under no illusions, it was another day at the office for her. If anyone knows her mobile number, or email address, I would be eternally grateful if you could PM me.

1. The section is "Hotel information." Yours is a FR.

2. Obviously you paid first hence the discussion of refund.

3. Glad you had fun.

4. You do not have to live in Saudi to be star-struck.

5. Your money, spend it as you like. It would be interesting to know what "outrageous" is though.

Again, don't knock me, you weren’t there and I live in Saudi.Seems you paid at the bar, thats one mistake, then you paid even more, shows her that you can be milked in more ways than one. We'd still like the know the outrageous amount mate. I live in Saudi and have at times paid 2k to 2.5k for a few hours of stunner companionship.
Anyway, I always seem to enjoy the challenge of the feisty ones and it turned out that my instincts proved accurate as she provided one of the most wonderful sensual experiences of my life. Gentlemen,

Would appreciate your humble advice.

Am going to be in Dubai in 2 weeks and am pondering at which hotel to stay. Ive narrowed down to a few

Its between

Moscow, (the club any good?)
Holiday Inn
Arabian Courtyard
Carlton Tower (4 clubs any good?)

I understand them all to be GF, but which would you say is best? Also do the girls have qualms about how far they travel ? (from your experience of course...)

Reason i ask is, i expect to make a few trips to Rockafella's and Cyclone :-)

Speaking of which... i hear prices have shot up.... if i took a CIS/Iranian tasty for 1200AED LT, Would i be inflating the prices? What would be Acceptable to the monger nation?

Thanks guys, appreciate your assistance and hope to be a regular contributor.

Redster - I agree, Grosvenor House is great - I've been there (Club 44) for after-work drinks with colleagues - very high class place, and the girls look expensive (the drinks ARE expensive). IMO - a bit too far to drive to Cyclone from there - could be a 40 minute trip in reasonable traffic. The five-stars on Beach Road are much closer.

I've visited around a dozen times in the last 18 months and now spend a week each month in Dubai so must have experienced at least 30+ girls.

I've not posted any FR's myself as I'm reluctant to post girls photo's and I feel a report without them is of little use.Since you've had 30+ girls in your monthly visits, would be good to see some reports. I for one would be interested in the areas you visit - pretty close to my place. No need for photos - 95% of reports have no photos but good info, so I don't quite follow the logic. C'mon, give us the goodies on this under-reported but rapidly growing area.

Prices have shot up in the past year or so, but it's still possible to get LT for 500-600 if you're lucky (Chinese and African for 300-500). While a lot of guys are paying 1000 and more for quality CIS, you should be able to negotiate 700 max depending on the night, time of night etc.

"located in the heart of the city near the Clock Tower roundabout, on the Deira side. Only 7 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport" so it says here.

Stayed here in December '03 and GF, they just needed to show thier ID at the desk, no charge. Not sure if the hotel wants Original ID's (like the Grand Hyatt, or no fun for you my lads) or will accept photocopies.

Staying here again in December '06 so will find out and pass the info unles anyone has used it recently. I did not see it on the excellent list of venues.

Had the best ever BBBJ and combination tit-wank from Alex from Moscow in '03, my first WG in your fair city.

What an introduction to the Dubai scene. 500Dhs all night, no DFK unfortuanltely but everything else I wanted. Every time I get back to Dubai and am in the Cyclone I look for her again. God knows what the inflation has done to proces if she ever did re-appear, but I would pay happily.

Although a good place to stay, 2 girls initially declined to go there from Cyclone.

Maybe it was my aftershave, but i think its a bit out for some.

The hotel should be YELLOW if added to the "Great" list, as they also charged a few extras. Can't remember how much it was (was extremely drunk at the time and everything seemed a good idea :-) )

I then picked up an Azeri (gosh they are gorgeous!) from Imperial - she travelled with me.

Talking about my last trip and hotels in one sentence, I'd like to mention one thing about a hotel experience i had back in November.

Well, it was 2am on a Friday night, at the Panorama in Bur Dubai and i had scored a gem from imperial. i had no intention to pull that night so hence was so unprepared.
Ok while i successfully banked the girl (after some strong negotiating with madame Natasha, who kept giving the impression she would fobb off to a better deal) i ran to Panorama and get a room. Now, since i was a bit lost and didnt know the city too well i was determined to stay at that hotel as it was convenient and i had arrived in DXB with a non monger colleague.

asked the guy at the reception if there were any rooms. He first said let me check, then said no. i asked him to look again (alchohol) and then all of a sudden he found one! except at 600 dhms. now, considering the girls cost 600drms that was steep.
the effer wouldnt budge, i tried so much to make him go lower but wouldnt. so i was quite fucked off and walking off.

As i was walking off, i noticed a western European man walk in, with an absolute Knockout, CIS, Blonde, and tall.

He was a bearded man, around 50 years young who went straight to the reception and asked for a room, the muppet replies "300 sir" - was fuming

So waiting for the gentlemen to leave with with his score and inststed that i get one for same price, he was a bit pressured and tried to worm out, but i told him he should not do this to a customer. He then reluctantly agreed and i got it for 300 dhms.

What did I learn?

So, everyone knows, some Hotels will try to exploit this, as some rooms are early checkouts and have late checkins for next day, so occasionally crafty buggers try to capitalise on the mongers. I heard the Karama hotel is also one that does this

I was just lucky and would like to say Thank you to the bearded man- hoping he is a member here. and i hope his chick was good for it!

I guess you can always use the taxi fare bonus as a closing line. There are a bunch of us going in December for the 7's, so I don't think the hotel will take the [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140). Not if they know what is good for them. The last time we were there a room door was removed forcibly by one of our party. Quite reasonable as he was in search of a beer from his mates mini-bar.

What he did not realise is that two of us had a couple of PRC in there, had done the business and were just ketting the girls going with each other when the door comes down and they were into there clothes and out the door faster than you can say "LE raid". Oh how we laughed.

Just confirming an earlier question on this thread about the Al bustan rotana near the airport.

Excellent Hotel and GF. No hassle in the afternoons and pass[port / walk of shame only in the evenings.

I got a rate of 500 plus tax, which is to my mind not bad in comparison to lesser hotels charging as much

Hello,

Writing a FR after a very long time. Spent most of the last year in Germany and this year at Kuwait. Once had to fly by UAE and decided to spend the night at Dubai due to time limitations in travelling to Abu Dhabi and back to Dubai for the next flight. Booked in at Panorama Hotel Deira. Hotel is only ok quality. This hotel is near the Deira Taxi Stand (some construction work going on in this area) at the end of Rigga Street. This hotel can qualify as a yellow one - guests are allowed with a copy of their passport and an additional rate of 50 dhs. Took one Russian from the Regal Plaza. Will post FR in the dubai section later.

Enjoy!!!

Top quality 5 star hotel in Dubai. Not GF friendly in the evenings. Was a major hassle as to get up the elevator with company. Security guard stopped us, checked my name on the register and noticed that I was only booked for single occupancy. I had to go to front desk, claim a "mistake" had been made and that it should have been double occupancy, girl had to show passport and be added to register, plus I was charged an an extra 200 AED / night for the privilege. Suggestions: get two keys when you check in and make sure the girl has her original passport when she comes to the hotel with you.

Why two keys? The staff at ET can supply providers - I know this- but at a high cost. Girl will be an A lister.

At these prices a better plan is the Fantasia.

Even better plan is to stay in a GF hotel.

Sporadic
08-23-06, 14:02
I admit there are degrees, but the only time I ever bothered with a second key was when I was spending a week with a GFE, or a non-p4p person. Did the old "wife is arriving later" thing to avoid registration, and a girl flashing a key (along with an indignant look) will calm the security types down quickly.

Hassles like original passport, registration (dangerous for the ladies as this goes right in the police database) and the extra charge DEFINE a non-GF hotel.

Stay elsewhere.

Movenpick: as I have reported before, this hotel, more than others will respond to bravado, try to sneak in looking guilty, and you may have troubles, if you are a known guest (multiple stays or important company) and you will probably not have any trouble.

Exec floors (at most hotels) are usually tolerant, they are just trying to weed out anyone cruising the hallways. If they identify you with the lady, you should have no problems.

MK: I have heard from Big Shisha and Ahmed that the Fantasia may be moving. They seem to have topped out here in DXB and are looking for greener pastures. When I get more details, I will post them.

A neat trick to avoid the 'walk of shame' and passport copy problems in the CP is to bear left on entry (past the entrance to Zinc/Fresh and Wagamama) and go through the glass doors bear left past the escalator (moving stairs for the non Brits) and through the second glass doors and take the elevators there. They are out of view of the staff and take you up to the residence. Then you simply cut across to the main hotel accomodation floors.

The Towers is not particularly friendly, same vein as Grand Hyatt. They have a large number of business guests, know that people will bring friends back, but keep a cold attitude to it so that the practice does not become rampant / overt.

Going back to the apt is fine, only thing to note is that it maybe shared and they switch the A/C off when unoccupied so can be uncomfortably warm in this weather. Plus I had a recent experience of being asked to clear out of a room while another housemate did the deed with a client!

MK,
That's exactly what I did when I picked up a cute little spinner in May when I met 11Bravo in Seaview. By far the best way of avoiding the reception. Mind you, if you get to the top of the escalator and hang a left you may get away with it . . . Naaa, not worth the potential hassle. The spinner was a nice distraction though I had to leave early in the morning. FR posted already.
Inhouse club, Zinc, apparently has undergone a refurb. No further info.
Crown Plaza is definitely confirmed as friendly. Lets hope they don't change the management.

Reasonably close to the triangle (walkable), decent hotel but has a few teething problems (only opened 7 months ago.)

GF presuming you are booked properly. Exception being the poor SOBīs from KBR who booked them in cheap and single occupancy, the security types were actually picking out the KBR types for scrutiny. Everybody else just strolled right in with the bride for the night. The guy in the hotel mini-mart actually asked another punter if he was KBR when he purchased condoms, warning him that KBR types could NOT bring in guests. (!)

I also had two come straight to my room without any hassles at all.

Give it a solid green light, and a seven for location (400 meters to Jockeyīs and 800 meters from York/Regal). Steak house is not bad either.

Sofitel update: Still GF although they stopped my in-call on the way in last night and had her call my room to ensure she was legit. They took no info and added no charges and it was the first time I have ever heard of them stopping anyone (except the pizza delivery guy!) Classy way of handling it I think.

Nb. This blonde, tall CIS had wrapped herself in an Abaya, but the ultra-white skin and blonde locks probably caused her minor "detention."

Can someone put together Bravo's original work on hotels in Dubai in an inter-active tabular form? That way, members can update the table so that current info. is available. Agreed that they may be under more scrutiny during Ramadan, but that is no excuse.

Last year I checked in as "Mr. and Mrs. Sporadic" and they NEVER asked me for Mrs. Sporadicīs passport details. Seven days of strolling in and out without so much as a blink.

I think this places the Orchid in the yellow zone at the least.

Hello fellow mongers,

I'm planning a short trip to Dubai mid Dec for 2 reasons. I need a reasonably long trip to accumulate enough air miles to keep my top tier status with my airline. (Europe won't cut it, I live in Canada). Secondly I was in Dubai several years ago and had a great fucking time. Time to combine 2 essential needs, air miles and pussy!

Last time I stayed at the Shangri-la and had absolutely no problems. This included parading 2 CIS lovies through the lobby at 3am. My research tells me this has since changed.

While all the reports I've read suggest the 4 points at very GS, I'm inclined to stay at the sofitel as I have a few free nights available to me. So 2 questions. The last report I saw (I have been doing my research) says the hotel is GF. Can anyone confrm that is still the case? As well, I don't really know the city and am useless at reading maps. As I recall, the triangle isn't too far by cab??

Thanks in advance. I should be in Dubai the nights of Dec 15/16. Would be pleased to buy a drink for any of the prolific posters if they are around. Its the least I can do for all the advice I've gleaned.

GF, no doubt. You may have trouble getting a room though, they do tend to stay well booked.

Not at all near the triangle, it is co-located with the Diera City Centre (shopping mall) which makes it nice for walking around, but useless for the triangle. A cab will cost you anywhere from 15-23 dirhams to the triangle depending upon the route (things are pretty torn up with metro construction) and depending upon when you go out, it could take anywhere from 10 minutes to 45 minutes (worst case.)

I have never minded making the trip to the triangle from the Sofitel, I just try to time it right (beat the traffic) by going early (say 8 pm) and hitting the happy hour at the york to kill some time until the other venues warm up. YMMV.

Everyone knows the hotel, so if you are doing incall (grab those numbers while you are out scouting) they have no problem finding it, and every cabby knows the way.

Never a problem at the Sofitel. Have fun.

Here are some facts from the Internet, not 70 Euros.

http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/fichehotel/gb/ibi/1441/fiche_hotel.shtml

Shows weekend rate in Germany of exactly 49 euros.

Besides that, If I read the post, rather than half read it then jump in and flame people then you would notice there is another interpretation of what was written.

i.e. It could read that hotels of that style are 49 Euros. In fact the Etap range are about 33 Euros for a "cracker bx" - a bit larger than that actually.

Now THATS what I call being an arrogant smartarse!

While ? 49,00 is a prevailing rate, all (and I mean all) hotels run specific yield management, i. e. they aim to optimise revenue. This might be the reason why Ibis Dubai is always above standard rate and you will find some hotels in Europe even going down to ? 29,00 at certain days and time of the year.

In respect to Dubai Ibis, I stayed there myself, I shall wish to advise about the Novotel WTC at Dubai. Difference is just around DHS 40 to DHS 50 and spacier and even easier for the girls. Plus (swimming) pool, thus better value for money.

My Ibis room was so small, I really had a problem to open my (big Delsay) bag.

Both hotels do not cause any problem with female visitors.

Greetings and stay calm,
Tom

I guess Doggus was not in a very good mood.

To clarify, and I do stand by the typical 49 Euro price for Ibis in Europe, is that price gouging is still the norm in DXB.

I also wish you a very pleasant stay in Dubai, at whatever hotel you choose to stay in. With your friendly, open attitude, I am certain you will enjoy yourself.

And let me correct one more thing, I used to feel sorry for you. Oh, and you are also welcome.

Planning to visit dubai in the first week of November and would like to know if there are any GF hotels in bur dubai area.

AMOF I am looking for something reasoable and I am not looking for 4 or 5 stars, just a normal place near action.

Any update on Sheraton 4 points ? they are still GF?

I appreciate your help and concern in advance.

OMG I am concerned at what will happen here!

Red ref the apartment - you need to be on PM this is the only way and it means you have to pay the subscription. Jackson deserves it for the best site in the known universe and if you cannot afford the 20 bucks you definately cannot afford to rent my place or stay in dxb. pay the man!

Staying here in December, got a suite for 950Dhs and a twin for 650Dhs / night including breakfast. Its by the Clock Tower roundabout in Diera a taxi ride from the attractions.

Photocopies of ID required at the desk for your personal nurse for the evening, no other limitations on numbers or timing.

I guess that makes it an Amber instead of Green in the GF traffic light system?

I guess that makes it an Amber instead of Green in the GF traffic light system? It still qualifies to be put down as green. Would have been amber if you have to shell out extra for taking guests to the room. Asking for ID and accepting photocopies is the standard norm. 950 for the suite is a bit steep but I hope you will put it good use. Well I did. My score for two nights there was six birds, two in tandems and two solo.

I checked with the Radisson front desk when I was there last night. Rack rate is 1200, but a room can be had for 575. Brand new hotel, and some expensive WG action in the rooftop bar. (Mainly non-WGs there, but it looked like an easy pick-up place). Lots of drinking expat girls from early 20s to early 30s. As for GF status of the hotel - someone will have to find out the hard way!

Now, if someone would make the effort to put together a Hotels list, or post instructions on how to do a search, I would've known that! ;)

Good to know the Radisson is GF (it's almost a walk from my office). Now to do a bit of online work to find a freebie to share the room with me.

Guys,

I am so pleased that I have found this forum. Excellent reports, well written entertaining and informative. Bravo! - So ok I am new here to the forum but not new to mongering, although to be fair did not know it was called that! Nice to be able to give my favorite hobby a name. So my question is this; I am in Dubai in 2 weeks time for 3 nights with my work - where should i stay for a good time with the WG's, Four Point or Madinat Jumeriah? I have booked 4Point directly but my company have now told me that they have booked a room for me in Madinat Jumeriah - I need to choose and I have read the Reports of Distinction etc...In fact I booked 4Point on the strength of reading the many reports on its GF nature in this forum. I am curious to hear an opinion from the senior members and local contributors here. Ta.

Same questions must be winding up the regulars on a huge scale.

I will add a brief list, much obtained from this site, and some of my OWN experiences. Mongers' season for questioning seems to be in overdrive.

First its the GF Hotels, then its Hotels to avoid. I do not want any questions regarding any of the below for example, if any supplement charges and how much and whether passport photocopy is required. Just consider it as every hotel charges a small supplement and all hotels require photocopies.

Don't like it?

Then the estate agents are your men! Dubai's apartment letting business is booming.

OK, for those who would like to know the recomended GF Hotels, choose from the following :

Al Bustan Residence
Al Bustan Rotana

Four Point or Al Qasr Madinat JumeirahAgree with Sporadic.

On the one hand, your company is doing you a favor - the Madinat Jumeirah is a MUCH nicer hotel than the 4 Points. It is conviently located to the Hard Rock, Amnesia, some of the fancy bars out in the new marina. Probably has a few HIGH PRICED wg's on premises.

On the other hand, that niceness comes with a price:Taxi: Madinat is a bit out of town center. I'd GUESS that a taxi downtown will come in at 50 dhs, one way. Figure you'll be paying "3 ways": your (2nd person singular) trip in, your (2nd person plural) trip back, and her trip back home. That's 150 right there. Girl going out that far will want taxi money. Time: Granted, bar times should be after traffic times, but... 1 accident, or 1 foggy night... Convience: at the 4 points, it's an easy walk to some early P4P venues (say Jockey's, Panarama Hotel). At the Madinat, it IS a planned trip. And not like you can pop back to your hotel for a rest before going out again later. Time: a wg figures time into her calculations. For ST, there will be a hefty surcharge just due to travel time. For LT, as stated above, taxi fare will be included somewhere. Overhead: a wg hears Madinat, that's a hotel surcharge in and of itself.I'd say it all depends on where you're doing [legit] business. Those traffic jams DO play havoc with customer meetings... But, myself, I'd give up some amenities of a nicer room for after hours convience. YMMV.

Or could it possibly have something to do with the tone, and content of the new guy post?

Party Peter, I hate to use you as an example, but as a one poster, you posed a decent question, not previously exposed, and did so in a reasonable manner.

Goodness, you may even be a reasonable human being! That is the impression I get anyway.

Take note new guys, nobody cares if your English is perfect, or how much you know, or how long you have been active in the hobby; good answers come from good questions.

Ps. Peter, if you can, try to get a "grande" room at the 4 points (if you so choose.) Not quite 5 star, but very decent.

An excellent and sensible listing by Mike De H. Thanks.

Just a note on the Jumeira Beach Hotel. Yes, reception and Security can be an obstacle, however, The Bier Kellar on the 2nd floor and the cocktail bar on the 22nd floor can both provide a good cover story for girls entering accompanied or otherwise.

Alternatively go as though to the Dow & Anchor pub on the ground then turn round and walk upstairs to the first floor. From there you can get a trouble free elevator to any floor you wish.

WRLOL - stalk away! I should be writing for work instead of here, but just cannot motivate myself. Been a long day, and a long time without a strange girl (I mean new girl) in bed. As for the apartment, I'm not sure I can afford both the apartment AND the mongering next door! (it's an expensive area on both counts). I think I'll just have to compensate by having a free night at the "Wicked Penthouse" next week. ;)

That would be the upstairs lounge of the "Playerīs club" bar at the Fantasia, sort of like the partitioned space you get in first class on Emirates (but without the inflight entertainment system) but I personally like the entertainment "system" upstairs at Playerīs much more than a Hollywood flick! ;)

Fingen,

I could not find out anything specific about the Park Hyatt Creek using the search engine, and to add to the misery, on another forum, the same question was posed, without result.

Conventional wisdom is that a good 5 star (like this one) will not be "bothering" the guests about their company (this HAS been my experince in similar hotels worldwide) but YMMV.

I guess you get to be the test subject, please let us know, and if I hear anythig else, I will post it.

Hello,

Firstly good forum. Enjoy it.

A question if you do not mind. I have read through alot of this forum, the info is good. I just would like to know about some budget hotels? and then secondly what is considered budget in dubai?

I am 24 and not finianicially able to retire yet, so am looking for a place to stay in Dubai that is about $60 USd a night do not know if possible.

I will have been in Mexico for 30 days on holiday before Dubai so my finances will probably be running low.

I ask as I assume from reading the forum that some of you live in Dubai.
If my assumptions about pricing is all wrong please advise.

And secondly if i would find a place for +- $60 but will be in the ass-end-of-no-where having to pay +-$20 -40 USD a trip in taxi to get anywhere then i would rather save the taxi fare and put it towards a hotel.

And finally a good shopping area in Dubai to find bargains? Clothes/Electronics? Or should i rather do it in USA when i am trotting around Mexico?

If I have asekd some questions that have already been covered i apologise in advance.

Regards

I just would like to know about some budget hotels? and then secondly what is considered budget in dubai? Not many, DXB does not have enough rooms as it is, and rather crappy hotels charge upscale prices in most cases. Budget in DXB means $120 a night.

And finally a good shopping area in Dubai to find bargains? Clothes/Electronics? Or should i rather do it in USA when i am trotting around Mexico? You can find cheap clothing (and I do mean cheap in both sentidos of the word) but for electronics, things are cheaper in France than DXB. USA will always be cheaper than DXB for electronics.

In summation, DXB has a lot to offer, but it is NOT cheap. If you are seriously on a strict budget, you might find DXB not to your liking.

One personal comment, at 24, you should not be mongering, you should be pulling. ;)

Suerte.

Monte - Sporadic is right - mongering is a mature man's hobby. Get ye-self to the non-P4P nightclubs laddie! See timeoutdubai.com

As for Budget Hotels, don't listen to Sporadic - he only travels to Dubai business class, so what would he know? ;) There are literally hundreds of cheap hotels in downtown Deira. Would be relatively safe to just arrive (daytime) and walk around to find an available room. As a budget traveller, you'll be happy enough with the quality.

There's also a YHA youth hostel in Al Qusais, near Al Mulla Plaza. If you stay there, please pop into the nearby Dubai Grand Hotel and give us an upate on the scene (action starts at 10pm in Churchill's Cigar Bar, and after midnight in the ground-level club). There's also a number of hidden bars in the hotel, including a non-P4P Philipino club - could be worth a try.

Shopping - Karama area is good for cheap clothes, some of it great quality, some not. Also cheap tailors etc in downtown Deira.

PS - another option for occasional cheap acccommodation is to take a girl all night, but stay at her apartment. Kills two birds with one stone. For this, you need to ask if she has her own room, rather than a dorm set-up.

Seriously, one of my unfulfilled aims in life is to stay at a cheap hotel in Deira a few nights and finally crack the Indian dancing-girl scene.

I don't have big aims in life. ;)

Until a few years ago, I only stayed at budget hotels/back-packer hostels when travelling, even if work paid for an expensive hotel. Backpacker hostels are good places to pick up girls, especially at the parties/barbecues. Girls travelling away from home are usually pretty adventurous.

_____

I had to look up the meaning of "defibrillator". Why did I think it was something about hair-removal?
