After many delays (due to contractual discussions) I have arrived in Xi'an.
The hotel was quite surprised that I arrived as they had lost my reservation and had no rooms available, except at a highly elevated price. LOL I did manage to work something out.
I am quite limited for the present as to my ability to explore as there are others from my company so dinner in required and there is much work to do. I will have time this weekend to start looking around.
I have been in Xi'an for a while. I am working with colleagues and rarely have time to myself.
I did some walking around myself. I don't find anything happening near my hotel.
I did take a stroll in the Jixiang area, West Jx street is as reported. The first street on to the right from Jx also has a few.
I tried talking to a few but I do not speak Chinese. Two gave the the "move along" sign. There were a group in a doorway that were giggling and looking away and then back again but I didn't work them much.
I did see something unusual today. I walked past a place the was well lit, very clean, very nicely decorated lobby, glass doors and had a sign in English "NSG Foot Massage".
The first time I walked by, around 6:30 PM, it looked to be open but I didn't see anyone inside. When I walked by again close to 8:00 PM I could see a line of 6 or 8 girls, all dressed the same. They were dressed nice, a little sexy, certainly not slutty, skirts and a little jacket over a shirt.

Speaking of KTV, I'm only going to be in Xian for Sat / Sun night next week, and was looking for a sure-thing KTV that could accommodate a solo foreigner with zero Chinese. Any recommendations?

Changan.
Following up a previous report citing Century KTV, I went looking for it on a Saturday night, and found that it had been renamed Changan nights. You can spot the logo from afar, and it's located on the corner of the lot.
Before I proceed, I should state that I am a total newbie to the monger scene in China, so I did not know what to expect. My research gave me reason to believe that FS could be had for 400 RMB, with 500-1000 for the room. I was a westerner with no Chinese stills, but I went in with a certain expectation of overpaying, because I really wanted to experience what a KTV was like. (YOLO!) On the other hand, I had my limits, so just to be safe, I left my credit card and bank card at the hotel and only took 2,000 RMB with me, as I thought that would be sufficient (boy was I wrong!
It was my first time visiting a KTV, so I entered hesitantly and followed a guard up to the third floor. I was immediately impressed by the palatial, classy atmosphere. A friendly young man was acting as a host to accommodate arriving guests and direct them to their private rooms. He seemed a little surprised to see a white guy in the establishment, but he was quite helpful and patient as I explicitly typed into my translator app what I was looking for. His enthusiastic response ensured that I was at the right place. On the way to the room, he led me down the halls, which were frequented by very young clientele and staff. All of the girls were dressed in fancy red prom-dresses and the service staff was dressed in black. The appearance of a westerner caused quite a stir among the staff, who had been apparently been boozing it up but I was treated like a celebrity, as they wanted to take selfies with me. The manager was a gentleman of about 45 years, and I worked out the prices and details with him. I told him that I only had 2,000 RMB and did not want to exceed that amount. After a couple of minutes it became very clear that there was almost zero English spoken at this establishment, but with my translator app, I was able to clarify my intentions. (FYI -the terms gao tai and ping tai, didn't seem to resonate).
They sat me on the couch, in what can only be described as the most regal 'entertainment' facility that I've ever visited with really fine furniture. Then they began escorting a line-up of girls for me to approve. Most were about a 6 on the 10 point scale, and a little chubbier than you would expect from Asian girls (they later said it was due to all the beer drinking in the establishment). But the first girl they brought in spoke passable English, so I selected her and a 2nd girl. The scene that followed was very confusing, as the KTV hostess arrived (who was about an 8 or 9 on the scale, but I don't think was available for service), followed by three or four other black-attire staff, one of which was really wasted. They ordered two 12 packs of beer on my tab, which all of them proceeded to drink (there were about 7 of us in the room!) and play drinking games such as rock, paper, scissor (they love this game) and a dice game called "big or small. " In this game, all players declare 'big' (rolls 4-6) or 'small' (rolls 1-3) before one player rolls the die. Drinks are assigned to whomever guessed incorrectly. Other Anyone who I really would not have been able to navigate this without the translation abilities of my new lady friend. After getting a good buzz on, we sang a couple of karaoke tunes.
While it didn't seem appropriate that staff were inflating my bill by drinking by alcohol, I did truly enjoy the party atmosphere that the staff brought to the room. However, the whole time I noticed that the girls were making small requests, like buying cigarettes and candy, to which I obliged. But without my approval, the black-attire staff starting bringing in appetizer plates and other foods. So, I was getting really nervous about them inflating the bill, so again I clarified with the manager my cash threshold. He said the room was $400.
I asked multiple times about paying for the room or the bill, but they didn't accommodate my request by feigning ignorance. I was very concerned about running out of cash.
I was getting touch-feely with the KTV girls, and I wanted to finish up before I ran out of cash, but I had no idea how to escalate to sex in this environment. The girls were tolerant of my wandering hands, but Do I just pull off her clothes? Ask her to join me in the bathroom? So after about 1. 5 hours, I asked the English speaking girl about going to 'another room. ' She seemed surprised that I knew what that meant, and sent the black-attire staff to buy a room key, saying that it would cost 150 RMB. Everyone was really drunk at this point, but the party atmosphere died down, my English speaking girl told me to pay the other girl 400, and the hostess 300, which I did, knowing that I was likely overpaying. However, it was clear that I had no leverage in any negotiations, as I spoke no Chinese and had to do any bargaining through this bar girls (not a very strong position for a monger to be in!
I again asked to pay for the room, but no one responded to my request. Then the girl led me out and down the hallway into a locker room with an attendant waiting. He gave me a locker key with a funny set of shiny golden shorts and shirt to put on. After changing, the girl led me to a plain but clean room with a bed. We undressed, and I bore witness to the most unruly case of Bush that I've ever encountered in my life! With armpit hair, too! I followed through, tolerating rehearsed cries of 'Oh, you so big, why you so big! But I was anxious to get this experience over with, at this point and finished up quickly. We went back to the locker room and got changed, whereupon I realized that we still hadn't discussed price. She was so drunk, that I thought she might forget the matter. Then, she proposed 1,000 RMB, which I know was way too much. After a few moment of heated negotiation (Fail: always agreed on price beforehand! We settled on 700 RMB, which was still too much. (Oh well, live and learn!
We returned to the room, where we were greeted by high fives from the black-attire staff who were still hanging out, enjoying my drinks and snacks. I told them I was ready to leave and the bill was delivered: 1,400 RMB, which I did not have. No problem, they said, credit cards. Whoops, we have a problem. They brought in more staff to discuss a solution, and after some discussion, which was very level-headed, and no one raised their voice or got angry (which could definitely have been a problem at a seedier establishment), a staff member finally agreed to take a cab to my hotel where I would deliver the remainder of the bill, which I did faithfully.
So overall, the total damage was: 300 for hostess, 400 for ping tai, 700 for gao tai, 1,400 for the room, beer, snacks, and 100 for the round-trip cab at the end of the night.

I finally got a chance to do some reconnoitering. I went to the Ibis and located the place beside the restaurant. I didn't go in as I was determined to find the "downstairs" place down the street. I walked past it or the placed marked on the map, several times but was not able to identify a place to go "downstairs". Quite disappointing.
On a higher note, I think I may have found a place that I have not seen previously reported. I was coming from the walking mall near the West Electronics mart and a guy was handing out fliers for a massage place. One of my colleagues that speaks Chinese read the flier and gave a look that gave me the impression that it was not a straight up massage place. I am going to try to get down there tomorrow night and see what happens.
I do not speak Chinese so that increases the degree of difficulty.
If anyone can help me locate the "downstairs" massage place near the Ibis, I would appreciate it.

I recently went to the parlor next to the IBIS hotel and want to share my experience. This was my first time to one of these places. They brought me upstairs to one of the rooms and I paid 400 RMB for 1 hour. I thought it was worth it. They brought in the ladies, maybe about 6-7 and I was instructed to choose. Half looked decent; the other half were a little homely. I chose one very good looking girl, maybe mid to late 20's. She told me to take clothes off and to go to the shower, which is in the room. She then took her clothes off and came in with me and washed me, concentrating on my penis and butt hole. She did a quick wash herself and then we dried off and I laid down on the bed, face down.
She then drank a warm liquid and kept it in her mouth as she licked and sucked my body, starting on my back working all over. Weird sensation with the warm water, but I enjoyed it. I should be more mindful to remember the numbers of the girls I see there.
The first girl I saw there was rather tall and paid particularly good attention to giving me good service. The second girl, pretty sure her number was 136, was adequate with the BJ although she was pretty insistent on having a ride on the Laowai happy stick and gave it a good ride.
I find the place to be rather dirty though. The floors in the rooms need to be cleaned.
The last time I went there I was turned away and told to "come back after 3 days." I have not been back yet as I have made friends with a local who took me to another place.
I have made the acquaintance of a Xi'an local who took me to a MP near the Ti Yu Chang Metro station last Saturday. It was not an easy visit. Apparently there are two hotels within the same block that have a name so similar that even the locals get them confused.
After a few phone calls to his friend and a dead end at the wrong hotel and another phone call we found what we thought was the right entrance and took the elevator to the 5th floor but when the door opened it looked like an abandoned building. It was very dark and looked as though nothing was going on there nor had been going on for quite a while. I got out of the elevator and looked around the corner but it was even more desolate there, in some sort of disrepair, think cobwebs and dust.
We got back on the elevator and my friend made another call. As it turned out we were at the right place and the right floor but either we had not said the secret spy boy password or the proprietor was unsure about a laowai coming into the place. We went back to the 5th floor and when the elevator doors opened lo an behold the lights were on, the doors were open and we were treated to a view of a pretty nice place.
We were welcomed in but the manager looking guy had a discussion with my Chinese friend. Apparently there is a laowai premium. LOL My Chinese friend would pay the standard 510 RMB but I would have to pay 810 RMB. I have no idea what the extra 10 RMB is about.
We were taken to a locker room to change into a pair of massage shorts and shirt and led down the hall where we were introduced to a dozen girls, probably more actually. They ran from 4 or 5 to 6, maybe 7. I was allowed to pick first and took the petite one who led me to a private room where we showered. After she dried me off she told me (I assume LOL) to lay on the bed and she got to work.
The service was adequate for the price.
On the way out we asked about the price if I were to return and were told that 810 RMB was the price for laowai. LOL And that I was welcome to return but it would be at that price.
Since the service was not exceptional we are going to go to a a different place this Saturday. It is a different arrangement. You go to a hotel and get a short term room and call the 'arranger. ' She then sends two girls to your room. If you like one of them you give it a go. If not you give the girls cab fare and they send two more. These are supposed to be local university girls that do this part time. I have seem some pix and they are pretty cute.
I will file another report afterwards.
On a referral from a local I went to a new place. It is on the northwest side of Xi'an, just inside the 2nd ring Road. By referral I mean that he contacted the booker and gave him my contact info so that wen I contacted the booker he was willing to talk to me.
The location I was sent was not exact, it was a half block away. I contacted the booker for directions and told him where I was. He came to get me.
Walk up to the second floor and saw a bunch of people playing cards or something, really didn't pay attention.
Went into the lobby to take off my shoes and was led to the locker room which was immediately adjacent to the showers. All male staff in the showers, showered by myself, other than the receptionists I have not seen a girl yet.
After I dried off the guy led me to a small door. He opened the door for me and inside it was passageway with a door on the opposite side. The guy made a signal somehow and the door on the other side opened. I was led through some hallway, , through what looked like rooms and not really intended to serve as a passageways, up a flight of stairs and into the second reception area, this one with a pretty girl at the desk. I was led into a private massage room and waited a few minutes. Then a knock on the door and 6 nice looking girls walked in, several said Hello, in English.
Nice girls, quite pretty, no problem getting serviced, even without speaking Chinese.
90 minutes and two goes for 795 RMB. Same price for locals and Laowai.
I am learning from my local friend that business establishments here are subject to rather frequent visits from the local constabulary and that insurance is necessary to avoid these visits. That may explain why I was told "after 3 days" the last time I went to the place next to the Ibis. The place I talk about here has all the trappings of a legitimate bath and unless you know the inner workings you would not find the secret door. It seems that this is done to avoid being discovered. The game room out front would also provide good cover. The 800 ish RMB seems to be the going rate for the places that pay insurance and the places that don't pay insurance seem to have recurring problems.

Interesting. Over the years I heard much about these places but never could find them.
I often go Santa Lu which is THE street for scooters, motorcycles, etc.
This must be 2 minutes walking distance away from the places you are talking about.
As Xing Qing Lu (north of Hu Zhu Lu) is still about 1000 m long. Can you give a hint where on the east side I should look for it?

I've been back a couple of weeks. First chance to visit the darlings of xingqing lu. Not sure how they stay afloat. A tiny little room. But expert BBBJ and a very nice ball licking. Didn't have to stay long. My earlier distance estimate was out, probably just 60 metres from the intersection. If you reach the meat slicers, you've gone too far. There is a grate on the outside, open when the shop is open. Opaque glass doors with 2 or 3 "girls" peeking out. Only go if you don't mind getting down and dirty!

Back to Heping Lu today. A bit strange, the girl at the desk says nothing but foot massage before 6 pm. Ok, I wanted a good foot massage anyway. Upstairs and into a room. I've just returned from a few weeks in Xi'an. Not much to report.
Tried Heping Lu a couple of times. I think the choice of girls has gone downhill and I made a poor choice, a reasonable face but ordinary body. Nothing without a condom and little or no touching. I was turned off rather than on. Went back for a massage & HJ. Great massage, so so HJ.
The good news for me was the discovery that Xing Qing Lu is back. There are 3 places on the east side of the street, heading north from Hu Zhu Lu. Two offer only massage & HJ. If you are prepared to get down & dirty, the place nearest Hu Zhu Lu will make you happy. 100 Yuan for a BBBJ or 200 for FS. The "girls" are all 30 - 40 and carrying a bit of flab. The rooms are tiny and no showers of course. I was happy with the 100 deal on 3 occasions. The ladies were friendly and allowed plenty of finger work, 69 is also allowed for the brave and I can say that they were all very clean. They all also thoroughly cleaned the little brother and nut sack before action.
Cheap & nasty maybe, satisfying definitely.I was hoping to check this place out. I am familiar with some streets in Xian, not an expert.

I tried visiting this place at 6 pm on a Sunday. I have no Chinese ability at the moment but got the gist of "no girls" available. I thought the girl behind the counter said come back in an hour but still no go.

I visited the MP again on Saturday at 1 pm. This time around no problems as there were girls available. All you have to do is say "zuo ai" or look like somebody wanting to get lucky. It's a quick change of shoes to slippers an head upstairs, turn left to locker room where you get out of your clothes and have a shower. Then they give you some clothes (small fee) then led to a special door directly opposite from the changing room entrance. Girls are brought in and you all know the rest.
I have to agree with another poster, the girls here weren't the best quality. Not sure if it was due to the time I visited but the girls weren't the best. She was mechanical and nothing to write more about (YMMV applies). Afterwards I went out and got myself a regular massage and had a coke.
Total cost was 508 RMB (guessing - 400 FS, 98 massage, 10 for clothes and drink).
I'll try and keep reporting my adventures.

My research gave me reason to believe that FS could be had for 400 RMB, with 500-1000 for the room. I was a westerner with no Chinese stills, but I went in with a certain expectation of overpaying, because I really wanted to experience what a KTV was like. (YOLO!) On the other hand, I had my limits, so just to be safe, I left my credit card and bank card at the hotel and only took 2,000 RMB with me, as I thought that would be sufficient (boy was I wrong!
It was my first time visiting a KTV, so I entered hesitantly and followed a guard up to the third floor. I was immediately impressed by the palatial, classy atmosphere. A friendly young man was acting as a host to accommodate arriving guests and direct them to their private rooms. He seemed a little surprised to see a white guy in the establishment, but he was quite helpful and patient as I explicitly typed into my translator app what I was looking for. His enthusiastic response ensured that I was at the right place. On the way to the room, he led me down the halls, which were frequented by very young clientele and staff. All of the girls were dressed in fancy red prom-dresses and the service staff was dressed in black. The appearance of a westerner caused quite a stir among the staff, who had been apparently been boozing it up but I was treated like a celebrity, as they wanted to take selfies with me. The manager was a gentleman of about 45 years, and I worked out the prices and details with him. I told him that I only had 2,000 RMB and did not want to exceed that amount. After a couple of minutes it became very clear that there was almost zero English spoken at this establishment, but with my translator app, I was able to clarify my intentions. (FYI -the terms gao tai and ping tai, didn't seem to resonate).
They sat me on the couch, in what can only be described as the most regal 'entertainment' facility that I've ever visited with really fine furniture. Then they began escorting a line-up of girls for me to approve. Most were about a 6 on the 10 point scale, and a little chubbier than you would expect from Asian girls (they later said it was due to all the beer drinking in the establishment). But the first girl they brought in spoke passable English, so I selected her and a 2nd girl. The scene that followed was very confusing, as the KTV hostess arrived (who was about an 8 or 9 on the scale, but I don't think was available for service), followed by three or four other black-attire staff, one of which was really wasted. They ordered two 12 packs of beer on my tab, which all of them proceeded to drink (there were about 7 of us in the room!) and play drinking games such as rock, paper, scissor (they love this game) and a dice game called "big or small. " In this game, all players declare 'big' (rolls 4-6) or 'small' (rolls 1-3) before one player rolls the die. Drinks are assigned to whomever guessed incorrectly. Other Anyone who I really would not have been able to navigate this without the translation abilities of my new lady friend. After getting a good buzz on, we sang a couple of karaoke tunes.
While it didn't seem appropriate that staff were inflating my bill by drinking by alcohol, I did truly enjoy the party atmosphere that the staff brought to the room. However, the whole time I noticed that the girls were making small requests, like buying cigarettes and candy, to which I obliged. But without my approval, the black-attire staff starting bringing in appetizer plates and other foods. So, I was getting really nervous about them inflating the bill, so again I clarified with the manager my cash threshold. He said the room was $400.
I asked multiple times about paying for the room or the bill, but they didn't accommodate my request by feigning ignorance. I was very concerned about running out of cash.
I was getting touch-feely with the KTV girls, and I wanted to finish up before I ran out of cash, but I had no idea how to escalate to sex in this environment. The girls were tolerant of my wandering hands, but Do I just pull off her clothes? Ask her to join me in the bathroom? So after about 1. 5 hours, I asked the English speaking girl about going to 'another room. ' She seemed surprised that I knew what that meant, and sent the black-attire staff to buy a room key, saying that it would cost 150 RMB. Everyone was really drunk at this point, but the party atmosphere died down, my English speaking girl told me to pay the other girl 400, and the hostess 300, which I did, knowing that I was likely overpaying. However, it was clear that I had no leverage in any negotiations, as I spoke no Chinese and had to do any bargaining through this bar girls (not a very strong position for a monger to be in!
I again asked to pay for the room, but no one responded to my request. Then the girl led me out and down the hallway into a locker room with an attendant waiting. He gave me a locker key with a funny set of shiny golden shorts and shirt to put on. After changing, the girl led me to a plain but clean room with a bed. We undressed, and I bore witness to the most unruly case of Bush that I've ever encountered in my life! With armpit hair, too! We went back to the locker room and got changed, whereupon I realized that we still hadn't discussed price. She was so drunk, that I thought she might forget the matter. Then, she proposed 1,000 RMB, which I know was way too much. After a few moment of heated negotiation (Fail: always agreed on price beforehand! We settled on 700 RMB, which was still too much. (Oh well, live and learn!
We returned to the room, where we were greeted by high fives from the black-attire staff who were still hanging out, enjoying my drinks and snacks. I told them I was ready to leave and the bill was delivered: 1,400 RMB, which I did not have. No problem, they said, credit cards. Whoops, we have a problem. They brought in more staff to discuss a solution, and after some discussion, which was very level-headed, and no one raised their voice or got angry (which could definitely have been a problem at a seedier establishment), a staff member finally agreed to take a cab to my hotel where I would deliver the remainder of the bill, which I did faithfully.
So overall, the total damage was: 300 for hostess, 400 for ping tai, 700 for gao tai, 1,400 for the room, beer, snacks, and 100 for the round-trip cab at the end of the night.2900 RMB for 15 minutes of pleasure?
To my experience going to a KTV only makes sense if you want to go to a KTV.
If you are looking for something else, don't go there.

Went to these places today. There are FOUR shops in total. Heading south down Xingqing lu from Santa lu on eastern side of street. About 50 metres after Santa lu, you will see the first of three small shops. These three shops do not give BJs. They are HJ places only. Cost is 100 rmb. The BJ place is the one closest to hu zhu lu (about a further 100 metres past the last of the 3 HJ shops). However. I was quoted 200 rmb for BJ, not 100 as stated by flower seeker. Basically find a street just off a main road and you may see numerous massage places. Obviously avoid the ones with the male masseuses (unless you actually want a massage, they are pretty good tbh). The ones you want usually have 2-3 middle aged women sitting / standing around, usually with red Chinese characters for foot massage or massage on a sliding door out front. Just go in and ask for a massage and you will be taken to a small, pretty grotty room. These places are usually not that clean, and the girls are about 40-50 and homely. However just for a quick HJ or BJ I think it's not bad if you just want a quickie. Prices are usually 100 for a HJ and 200 for BJ (negotiate for BBBJ, not all places do it). Your title said Heping Lu Ibis is closed but your report failed to say more. Is it closed? This is important because we use the hotel a the primary landmark. Without Ibis, I wouldn't even know if I am in the right block. If Ibis is really closed, is the building still standing or torn down? Thanks.

In early June I visited 2 shops. They were careful and a bit nervous. A week later the shops were completely shut up.
Luckily I'd managed to get a couple of wechat contacts. They visited me at home at a higher price of course.
But it's not just the illegal shops. There have always been large, legitimate massage parlours / spas. There girls were provocatively dressed, but little if any sexual service was offered. I've visited 3 or 4 in the past. All but 1 has disappeared. The 1 remaining spa now has massage girls in slacks and business type shirts.
Maybe a temporary crackdown, but it seems to me to be more permanent. Anyone know more?

The Miaopotou Lu (Rd) is a rather small road in Qujiang, about 1000 meters from the Great Wild Goose Paddle (south).
This road crosses the Yan Nan Si (4th) Lu.
For the taxi driver: 庙22369;22836;36335;21475;27839;21335;22235;36335;.
At this intersection, turn south into Miaopotou Lu (there is a road sign), it is the smaller of the two roads.
After about 100 meters you will see a few small street restaurants on the right and a larger hotel on the left. There is only one hotel there.
If the road goes up, you are going in the wrong direction.
Right next to the hotel is the Massage Shop.
It is big, multi-storey and well lit. You can't miss it.
You have to go inside and walk up the stairs.
One floor higher you are already awaited.
They are very friendly, but don't speak English.
In case of emergency they will translate there with the telephone.
Just sit down on one of the sofas and take off your shoes.
The shoes will be picked up and a key with number will be handed over.
You will not be asked what you want there.
A girl will lead you to one of the rooms, which all have a large double bed.
Next to the bed is the price list. They have really good massages!
But the specialities are not listed there.
Tell or show the girl 500 RMB (topless, hand job) or 600 RMB (blow job).
She will then understand.
She will probably offer you a customer card. It is available from 1000 RMB and has a value of 1300 RMB. So 2 x blowjobs and something else left.
The whole thing starts with a massage, after a while the girl takes off her clothes but leaves her pants on. You have to find out by yourself how much she lets you finger her or invites you to lick her.

Can you give us the locations?
In particular could you give us the location with the one where we can find the most pretty girls (I am very dissatisfied with some of the girls here).
I read that there is a place with hydro massage, but I would like to follow your suggestions.

One was fine enough, but I decided to see more and wait. 2nd was not good. Nothing came of it. First girl came back in. Went for it. Underwhelming with clothes off. Total damage was like "699" + some extras I didn't quite get. Total damage was 800 kuai. Big meh.
Also tried to find the "expensive place" talked about below on Zhongmao Lu / Nanguan Lu (this street doesn't exist near there unless I was at the wrong Ibis) . All I could find was a 2nd floor spa that didn't offer extras. Spent about an hour looking around. Even asked the attendants if they knew of this place. They didn't.
Also also went to the spot on Furong Xi Lu / Yan Nan 4th. Closed. Shame because it looks cool. Added the weixin of the # on the door, and got no response.
Total bust so far for me. Great good tho.

6th floor of Ramada Plaza in Qujiang New Area. Gold gilded entrance. Elevator to the 6th floor. Pinyin on elevator button says "Xiyun Foot Bath in top level of Qujiang" - I got brought in by a taxi driver. Swanky place. Prices are pretty steep - 1,300 kuai for full serv. Had to go through 8 girls to get a bitchy young one, but it was fine enough. Probs a good place to go and build rapport. Cheers.

This is really just a report of a semi-failed experience and a confirmation for myself that you don't need to see this stuff on the street to get some action.
I was walking near dayanta at night after having one of those Tang period drinks on the main tourist walking strip. Still easily sober. I decided to hop into a taxi and said 我35201;25353;25705;12290;he said 特27530;26381;21153;25353;25705;23545;19981;23545;65311;I'm like yeah let's go. He gets starts driving and I'm expecting some good stuff. He says there's been a crackdown lately, drops me off in front of this multi level shop and a guy guides me in. The problem is that they don't take foreigners. I'm already dressed in those one time shirts and shorts and they tell me to leave when the manager comes in to see me. I'm as foreign as one could look in China so I'm guessing that was the problem.
Regardless, this experience was the third time a taxi driver helped me out. You just have to hop into the right cab at night.
