ManKind spa (I visited it again, but they don't start serving until 1pm as they had us wait, then put us in the VIP rooms, kind of weird like cattle being fed) , is located on a side-street not shown on google maps between Jianye and Wusi. I'm almost sure that it is not listed on google. You can be sure of this as you should see the Amway sign from that street (from ManKind Spa). If I'm right, it should be right next to Quick and Yuexian stores. If it is not on that sidestreet then it will be on Jianye (possibly the "Gentleman Hydrotherapy Leisure Hall" on google maps). Mankind is FS for 278, though I asked for 239rmb because they talk on a 39rmb massage despite me asking for just the 239 FS. The dive place on the other corner of the cake shop should always be 238 for FS but they always take 15 to 20 min of your 40 minute bathing you. These place are not high class and the dive place is certainly a dive for sure.

Went to the Alice Bar tonight, based on advice here it almost seemed as though if I'd spent a fortnight in Dalian and not gone then I'd have missed out. I've never been in there. Let me know if you go. They have 1 young English speaker there. I saw 1 girl come to the lobby, she was a 9. Given that many bathhouses are operating as usual during this time but with less selection I would say pretty safe. I just wouldn't pay over 600 for that. You can pretty much walk for 20 minutes around any neighborhood and find the symbol for bathhouse. It literally looks like a house with water splashes on the left side of the symbol. It's almost guaranteed that there will be FS there. Prices can vary a lot. From 149RMB to over 1000RMB. Where are you staying? An English speaking taxi driver told me there is some event soon that will make bathhouses less attractive for several days. I have no idea when that starts and finishes. I'd give you his phone number but I have no idea of the trustworthyness of a taxi driver and what could happen once you want to get out of the door of the place he brings you to. I also found the red-light district and going rate is 100RMB. Many of those places are located off of TaiYuan Jie just a block or 2 North of Wusi Rd (on the side streets). One place looked like it even had two parents with heir daughter as the WG. Some of those place will raise the price for foreigners because they simply think you are too big.
My last post I said "Sakura" but I reread the Japanese and I'm not sure that it is called Sakura, but it is directly across from Nikko. They raised the price from 218 to over 300. Nice place but probably not worth it for the selection there. As far as I know there are not a lot of bathhouses within walking distance from Nikko. You pretty much have to go on the opposite side of ZhongShan Rd to find them in random places within a few blocks of the south side of ZhongShan. If worse comes to worse you can always try that expensive 1500 RMB place on the 3rd or 4th floor of the building connected to Nikko. From what Chinese I can barely understand it seems like you get more than 1 hour, but maybe that is the room and the lady is only for the 1 hour. You can see a big sign written in English before you enter the door about the privacy of their clients from police. Those rooms are quite nice actually with shower and bath.

NEVER, I repeat NEVER tip the girl.
As China is not a tipping culture, the girls probably just think you are silly by giving them more money.
Just remember that there is, unfortunately, always going to be discrimination towards foreigners. If this happens just move on to the next place. The good thing about Dalian is there is an abundance of places. The girls are aware of this 'abundance' of places and should know that getting a regular customer is well worth the effort. If they don't put any effort in then just move on to the girl that does!
Try some of the places that I mentioned and if you need any more help just let me know!
Something I would reccomend is making friends with someone who speaks the language, perhaps even a Chinese guy who can go with you. When I go with my Chinese friends I never have any problems!

The place off Changjiang lu and wansui jie is not really close to where you are staying. I have just looked on google map for some xi yu zhong xing (bath house) that would be close to where you are staying and have come up with the following.
There is one round the corner from the Ibis at 29 Luxun lu (lu means road) It's next to an ICBC bank, unfortunatley I have never been here so I can't vouch for the service.
Looking at the map it seems there's a ton of massage parlours on a road called xueshi street, which is also close to the Ibis.
The only one that I cna vouch for that is within walking distance of your hotel is on the corner of qiqi jie (jie means street) and you hao lu. The place is a red massage shop, with the words massage clearly visible in English. I was there a long time ago, so things might have changed, but they did have full service on the menu!
Myabe I should start my own tour group for guys like you to show the sites! What do you think?

About Anshan Lu, one place at the corner of Anshan and Lianhe between KTV and the Xinrui Chemicals I almost went into. But they oddly wanted 300RMB at the door before I entered with a bunch of guys standing around in the lobby. The week before I went there and it was not like that when I asked for the price. So I didn't bother to do the transaction. I think the other places on Anshan were along the road heading East from that intersection of Lianhe and Anshan. A taxi driver was taking me. He was saying that no service existed at those places on Anshan (from what hand gestures I could understand). He took me to some place past Kempinski further down that main road on the right. He said something to the hotel person and they guy quoted 400 or some thing. I didn't trust that either and the taxi driver was irritated at me. I doubt I would leave an escorted place without some type of extortion even with the English speaking taxi driver I met.
On a side note, I've found some of these 100RMB pink light places near Taiyuan & Jixian& Baishan Rd, the woman was 31 yrs old and tighter than almost any other girl I've had, felt a lot but she just wouldn't do anything but say to hurry and act like a dead fish and scream about how it hurt her. Staid.Mankind is between Wusi lu and Jianye jie. It is in a small street that runs between these two streets. Walk down minyun street and from either jianye Jie or Wusi Lu, you should see this street, kind of opposite Amway on the other side of the road!

Thanks to the instructions here I managed to find mankind. There are two signposts pointing to it, but the main signage seems to say something else. Had to ask the guard to confirm.
Modus operandi slightly different from what is reported here. After bath, was approached for massage by a girl in uniform. Since she wasn't my type, rejected her. Then no one else approached me. Seems like the red light district is around taiyuan street-olympic square area.
You can easily take a bus there from opposite Laodong park, walking distance from Kempinski.
Learn the map, the bus stops have English signs (after 9pm you'll probably need a taxi)

I have only been in Dalian for a couple weeks, however of course I was quick to test out the scene as it is my first trip to China ever.
I read earlier in this thread that there was recently a "crack down" on the industry which kind of explains why there is a distinct lack of neon massage signs everywhere, and I was always suspicious of the bath houses and what they may contain.
I found "dafeiji" post / guide via Google and tried out the bath house next door to the Famous Cake Shop as it was only just down the road. It definitely wasn't an amazing place, I was suprised as I was under the impression that Chinese came to bath houses to be "cleaner" than they can be at home, but this place was far more gross than the majorly old and dirty bathroom in my apartment that I just inherited when I moved in.
Obviously dafeiji has decent Chinese language skills as the cheapest I could negotiate without any real Chinese skills was 239 RMB, which included PJs, towel and a girl.
Anyway this was the process for the "Assisted Bath Place":
As you enter you'll be greeted by a guy who will hand you a key from the receptionist and you will be guided into the short hallway and left into the Locker room.
In here you will be able to see how dodgy indeed the bathing area is! Haha.
Once in here the guy will likely make a clapping sound by intertwining his hands at the fingers and gesturing in a "banging" like way to confirm you want to have a go at a Girl, just reply "Duoet" (doo-ayee) to say yes.
Now this is where 1 of 2 things will happen:
1) You will be shown a few girls to pick from, pick the best (this is the best scenario).
2) You will be shown a single girl with the assumption this will be the one you will take (unless you are happy, this is where you should politely decline and ask to choose a girl). This means all the girls are busy so bail out now and just pay the bath house fine of around 29 RMB. Chances are the left over girl isn't good.
Once you have your girl you will be led down the stairs, when this happens if you got to choose a girl one of them will run up behind you and say something crazy in Chinese. She's asking if you want to double your fun, its up to you if you do but you don't get to pick your second girl at this point, its her or just regular fun. If you do want a second girl I suggest that you pick her at the same time you pick the first one as the one that will chase you on the stairs will be the one doing the least business that day and will likely not be the pick of the bunch for that reason.
Now here is where it gets really exciting haha.
As you go down the stairs you will end up in a room with no further progression, just lockers and you will think (WTF how is banging going to happen here) , these "lockers" are a fake wall into a secret room where the girls sleep and the banging happens (I accidentally went out the wrong way on my first trip and ended up in the girl's accommodation room, its a pretty depressing place.)
When you go through the false wall you will see sex rooms up ahead and a surveilence setup to your right, your girl will scribble something on a piece of paper on the surveilence desk and then walk you into your room.
All the rooms are the same, single room with ensuite (and I use that word loosely). In the "bedroom" there will be a TV playing (or soon to be playing) a cheezy porno and a desk to place your key on (I cannot stress this enough, POLICE YOUR KEY! I will explain a bit later).
The girl will either undress you or gesture you to undress, she will strip to her underwear and then guide you into the ensuite.
In the ensuite you will find a wooden bath with a plastic bag lining filling with water and a massage table / bed with plastic also. She will ask you to lay face down on the massage table first where she will wash you both sides and use some exfoliating crystals on you.
Then she will rinse you off and ask you to get in the bath, sometimes she will get in there with you, if she does she may try to fuck you BB if that's your thing hey go for it, but remember guys you're probably the 9, 000th client she's fucked BB and she's likely to be packing heat.
Then you will get out of the tub and be dried off with the worlds smallest towel and then led into the bedroom for the main event.
Depending on who you picked you may be anally tongued after being licked all over whilst face down and may be sucked BB after turning over, then the fucking begins.
I am a pretty well off dude, so a lot of girls don't like you being that deep in them, honestly I think the modest penis has the most fun in China, the big one only get half the fun.

Okay now about the Key thing. One time my key went "Missing", and they spent about 15 minutes looking for it, after that they blamed me for losing it and asked I pay a 200 RMB fee for the replacement, I fought and said I know I left it on the table / dresser and if its gone it was only me and the girl in there. After making me wait another 10 minutes they "found" the key and said it was in the "bin". Clearly the girl binned it when I was not looking in an attempt to score extra $. Don't let this make you not go here, there is a scam happening everywhere, just police your key and you will be fine.
Tl; dr;"Assisted bath house" is good if you want to take a punt at BB in the bath, and if you want a no frills in and out service. These girls are sort of attractive and good bang for buck but don't expect an amazing experience.
Now to my Favourite!
At the time of writing I only just left "Mankind" which is located in a side street running off and nearly opposite the street Amway is on. Tonight was my first visit and I already want to do another trip! Haha.
When you arrive at Mankind there will likely be someone waiting out front that will open the door for you and lead you in, the bath house fee is approx 50 RMB and the girl's FS is approx 239 RMB, I didn't bother trying to negotiate the price as it is a bargain for such a high class place.
Honestly, if you go here make full use of the bathhouse before and after your fun, this place is truly amazing, super clean and really relaxing and worth hanging around in, there will be many Chinese in here but none will care if you are a westerner as it's hard to be intimidated by anyone when everyone in the room is swinging in the breeze. I am not the thinnest dude and I am white as fucking white can be, and no one made any cracks about me nor did I get the feeling that I was a topic in the room. If you walk around like you have done this 100 times you will have a great experience and no trouble.
The layout:
OK once you go down stairs into the change rooms, strip off, dump your shit into the locker assigned to you and get amongst it. When you enter the bath house main room you will have directly left massage tables, in the centre of the room there is fruit and good nibble food and a place for your mobile phone (A staff member always watches them so it is safe). To the right and around the corner is a huge hot tub / pool that hangs out at around 40 degrees Celsius and a TV on the back wall. To the right is the showers and down the right hand side at the back is a sauna. And finally, right down the end in front of you is a room with a guy casually standing at the entrance, this is where you go to start your fun when you are ready!
Again make use of the Bath House, its amazing and really nice!
Ok so you're ready for a root now, head into the room I mentioned just before and the guy will hand you some PJs, chuck them on and you will be guided through a door and down some stairs where you will see a bunch of girls (Quickly pick the girl you want now! As they will send you only 3 options to your room). Depending if you were successful or not in picking your girls in the hallway you will now be shown 3 girls to pick from. Select the best one and then she will leave and come back, dial up someone on the room phone and then the fucking will begin after some licking all over and if you are super lucky a proper anal licking and sucking from behind whilst you are on all 4s.
At the end the girl will show you out the door and you can head back up the stairs and then re-enter the bath house and shower / clean if you wish and just generally hang out or you can head into the change room and get dressed then pay the bill upstairs and head out.
Tl; dr;"Mankind" is a really nice place but a bit more expensive, girls are very decent and they eat your ass out! Who can say no to that! Facilities are amazing and its a waste if you do not use them!
Mankind is definitely my pick but if on a time budget I will still go the Assisted Bath house.

The place is on Jianye South Street. On google maps, same block as Baiyi art school. There are two signposts (printed Nanshi in Chinese, Mankind Spa in English) pointing to the place, but I'm not sure if they are lit up at night. You can't miss it!

Many thanks.Wowser, its very unlikely that posters here would know of any provider up near the DDA unless they worked at the Intel plant or other industrial sites nearby. Your best bet is always downtown however you may want to scout out Kaifaqu around the Five Colors Square pedestrian area just 15 minutes away. The area houses many Japanese clubs, KTVs and saunas. Can`t help with details though as its been too long since I was in the area. There are one or two western owned pubs in the pedestrian area. Get to know the locals and ask discreetly. They will know the decent places around. Info that us very unlikely to appear here. Unless of course you start making reports&65281;

I'd be a little wary of asking for service in the sexshops. Most have small rooms so that the employee can sleep there as its often a late night business for them. I was in Dalian on business for about a week, and took the opportunity to investigate most of the places listed in the last 15 pages or so of reports. There were some places I didn't get to, and I think the update on Mankind might have to be its own post (I spent a lot of time there). But I figured an update on the pink light shops and streetwalkers might be helpful.
Streetwalkers first. It seems like the Olympic square area is dead. Or at least much less heavily populated than it previously was. I did a lot of wandering on the streets south of there, and only saw a group of WG's once (on Gao'Erjie, don't remember the cross street). I got one hello on a different occasion when walking down Gao'Erjie, but didn't catch it in time to act upon it. YMMV, but it seems like you'd do better in one of the other areas.

If you have enough Chinese to handle the negotiation and are confident in your ability to get off with anyone in under 5 minutes, these women are for you. If not, I'd suggest paying more for a pink light shop. As I was leaving the area the last time I was there, I saw one shockingly attractive young woman ducking into a building with a grinning young man, but she was definitely the exception. The women in this area range from 'moderately attractive older woman' to 'received bad career advice'.
Pink light shops. I'd suggest the area between Taiyuan and Baishan Roads just south of Zhongshan road. Jixian N and Jixian street are both packed, and if you just do a slalom through the four or five small streets there you'll encounter maybe 20 shops. Go at night; look for pink lights or Christmas lights; you'll have no problems. The night that I went, I didn't see anything I liked and wasn't comfortable enough in the neighborhood to spend a lot of time there, but a few days later I wandered through during the day and found myself walking behind a slightly bovine (tall, big tits, big ass, big everything) girl who was exactly what I was looking for. I followed her into a shop and was back to her apartment five minutes later. Paid 200, probably could have negotiated for less, but I was having difficulty making myself understood and I wanted her, so I didn't haggle. If you're willing to negotiate (and walk out) , you can almost certainly do better. The girl didn't rush me, but I did have the sense that I was on the clock. I think if I'd lasted another five minutes (I was in her for about fifteen) , there would have been complaints.

This was a recurring problem everywhere. It seems that most Chinese WG's don't understand the basic physics of how a penis works, and believe that they magically grow larger once confined to quarters that eliminate blood circulation. In some places, my requests to put the condom on myself were taken well; in others, they were denied.
So, if you're into lineups and bathing and good service, go to Mankind rather than the Wusi Road bath house. It's a block away, and the extra expense is worth the increase in service. I'll post more information about Mankind when I have more time to write. If you're on a tighter budget, the options above may work for you, but expect the level of service to be closely correlated to what you pay for it.

Well, I went there today. My experience was terrible. I can't put enough words in 5 minutes to describe how. I did see that 30'ish girl. She looked a little too old for me. I went to the spa on Nashan.

Any useful advice about Dalian's recent activity would be great.
Yeah, I had a similar experience at the same place last summer. Had two girls, and while that's inherently fun, the service was very lackluster. Gleaned info from RTFF. Go to a place on the corner of Beijing jie just before it meets changjiang lu. The place is called san huan xiyu. My friend works there, number 35. Glad you guys are still living the legacy in DLC. I had to move on to Tokyo and miss the good times in DLC. Some of those places mentioned here (especially Baishen area) I have been to many times.
