Don Gorda. Holiday Inn Massage is Stright NON SEXUAL massage. Only one massage room / table.

Excellent value ( compared to the States). Decent full body massage (Ignoring Sexual Organs), relaxing music, finishing with a cool facial and head rub. Very refreshing. As you look at the front of Holiday Inn; the shop ( Nia's Hair Style), is on the left hand side of the building. All glass walls to street. Door is locked at all times. and the Girl at the desk will open for you. The girl who was doing the massage that day was named, began with an A., Andromada, Antonella, Alajita. Sorry it has slipped my mind. Theres a whole "MENU" of prices and, check it out, its a great way too start a mongering afternoon. My Birthday is the 25th, Aug. Maybe next year.

Till then: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Don Gordo, HAPPY BIRTHDAY too you.

Don Gordo,

Is this an invitaion to mongers that you have not met, yet? If so, I may come. If not, I can postpone my trip until the NF re-opens.

At any rate, everybody party down.

Also, Don, what is your reply to the note about the apartments that you have selected being unsafe?

Planning on staying a month, and interested in an apartment rather than a hotel.

My alternate is the Doral hotel (near the Park), which is $340 per month.

One more question: Where are the NF girls working now?

Question for all:

I attempted to use the Forum's search function to find info about Farol Rojo, but the engine is apparently down. can anyone please give me recent information about Farol Rojo? Girls? Prices? I already have the phone number and location, but reviews of recent visits, warnings and other information will be more than welcome. Thanks in advance.
I look forward to perhaps encountering some of you during my brief scouting trip to SJO and Quepos Sept. 12-20, 2004. As mentioned earlier, I'll be traveling with a female friend, but I'll probably be able to slip away for at least one massaje sencilla (with luck). Pura vida, pura vulva.

I have stayed at Apartment Sudamer in the past and I realize the down side of the neighborhood at night. I like the apartments very much. They are spacious and have a full kitchen as well as free local phone service and at $160 per week , it is a real value. I find it a very convenient location where I can walk anywhere during daylight hours and certainly taxi by night. I will call one of my reliable taxistas for an after dark pickup when necessary.

Mongo II,
Come and do not postpone your trip until the New Fantasy Massage Place reopens. It was closed big time by the federal police because the owner was engaged in money laundering. Not simple local or vice issues. It will not reopen.

Mule 69, come on and join in. Introduce yourself to everyone.

Yes the show at the Park Hotel on Friday and Saturday nights is a once in the lifetime experience. Wear an old shirt if you plan on getting up close because baby oil is being spread on the girls by the customers and it flys everywhere. I love rubbing the ass and tatas of the girls who are in the show. If they have a hard ass they are in shape and I am in love for some action after the show. Hell, they charge only $ 23 for BBBJ and FS with a room fee of $10. WHY NOT? It is wild. Some girls get wild and wet.
I like to buy the girls drinks to help relieve their tensions before the show. (This also gets me good attention and service from them).

Here is a short report based on my visit to San Jose with a buddy from 8-3 to 8-11, 2004.

1. New Fantasy. Still closed.

2. Zona Blue. At 11:00 a.m. there were only two girls who were not with customers, so we took them. 25,000 colones for good service. My buddy says BBBJTC.

3. Farol Rojo. New place and looks nice. Corner of Avenida 9 and Calle 1. Quoted 10,000 colones and went there 3 times. But there were not many girls and those that were there were 5’s and 6’s, so we did not stay any of the 3 times.

4. Oasis Massage. Easy to find across from Machu Piccu Restaurante on Calle 32. Went at 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning. $6 cab fare round trip. This is a busy time for this place and there were only 4 girls. 6 were busy, the manager said. 10,000 colones. We did not stay.

5. Bar Idem. Good selection at 3:30 p.m. 18,000 colones. Went 3 times and had a good experience each time. Ana from Nicaragua and Erica, a Tica, were both very good.

6. Eros. Across the street from Idem. At 3:30 p.m. 4 girls, two were maybe 7’s, so we went to Idem.

7. Blue Marlin. I was never was quoted less than $100 and there was no negotiation. Several 8’s and 9’s and one or two 10’s were observed in 7 days. I did not partake because the experience at Bar Idem was so good at about ½ the price. With one Columbiana, my buddy was quoted $100, which he questioned. She immediately dropped to $80. He accepted and had a good time.

8. Exit tax. I got this info from one of these forums and I can’t remember which, but the advice is so good I think it is worth repeating. Take your passport and pay the $26 exit tax downtown and avoid the long lines at the airport. The Banc Credito is at the corner of Avenida 4 and Calle 2. Walk out of the Hotel Presidente and turn left onto Avenida Central. Walk past the clock tower 2 blocks to Calle Central, but there is no street sign there. Turn left and walk 2 blocks to Avenida 4 and cross it. Just before Avenida 4, a church will be on your left and a park on your right. Turn right and walk to the end of the block and you are there. Go down the steps and bear right and you see cashiers. Cashier 2 is exclusively for exit tax but there is no line. You must have your passport with you. There were at least 50 in line at the airport when I got there at 5:00 a.m.

All in all, an enjoyable trip. No photos except butterflies.

Yes, there is a ticket drawing after the show for a FREE BJ. (I usually tip for F/S.)

Also on Tuesdays, your drink receipt is your possible FREE BJ. Again they have drawings. Never been there on Tuesdays however.

Alright,

I'll let you guys know that CR is getting ridiculously expensive. The girls at the BM have are charging $100 and there is very little negociation. That place is ruined....FOR GOOD!!! You can thank all of those desperate fellow americans for that. Too many of them paying $100 without even blinking an eye.

I arrived 10:30 am on the 11th, checked into the Morazon and then went straight to 747. The girls are a little chunkier here but there are also some nice ones...there is something for everyone...you gotta go there in the morning.

I spent practically my whole time going to 747, Cha Cha Cha, and ERos. And I'll tell you what, if you go to 747 around 10 am you'll find some decent action there and BBBJ everytime for 4000 col. ($9!!!) It really had me spoiled was went there basically everyday twice a day. Eros the talent is better for 16000 ($36). Same thing with Cha Cha Cha, next door to 747, charging gringos 8000 col ($18).

My first afternoon there I went to the BM and payed this tica 30000 col. ($68) - she would not come down anymore. Well I guess I got my money's worth because she hang out with me practically the whole night. Funny thing is the girl I was with at 747 earlier that morning looked just as good. I still found 68000 col. to be a lot after having payed so little at 747.

That's my report, hope it helps

Hi All,

I am heading down to SJO shortly and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good strip clubs.

I know most of you probably avoid strip clubs and think I am crazy for overpaying, however I do enjoy them and don't mind paying for a few hours of "Vegas Style" entertainment.

Any suggestions or recommendations are appreciated.

B Billy,

If you had taken the time to have read this forum you would have learned that there is no reliable escort service in San Jose and none at the beaches. In fact escort services are illegal in Costa Rica under their pimping laws.

If you want to hook up with a chica you can go the the ____ ______ bar at the ___ ___ hotel in San Jose which is a sure fire place to view and interview chicas before you buy.
A brief review of this board should enable you to fill in the blanks quickly.

Currently in San Jose staying at the Del Ray.

Blue Marlin was heaving last night - quite a few top-heavy Colombians and most after $100.

We tried Zona Blue but it was closed. Instead the taxi driver took us to a small massage place opposite Idem. (Eros?) Three girls, all OK but perhaps not worth writing home about. They were asking $60 for one hour which was probably too much but they performed well.

If you are planning to stay at the Del Ray remember to bring ear plugs. Fortunately I did.

Finally, our taxi driver warned us not to pick up the girls on the streets around Zona Blue (Calle 3b y Avenida 9) because, he reckoned, they were in fact men. Looked very realistic though!

Gentlemen,

A warning about hotel fees. I was with a colleage monger on a business trip in Costa Rica this week, and we went to the Blue Marlin on Wednesday night. We wanted to go to Zona Blue, but the taxi driver told us that Zona Blue closes at 09.00 PM. Bummer!

My colleague and myself picked two ladies, one Panamenian and one Tica, and negotiated 70 USD for two hours (which as usual for Del Rey girls turned out not to be two hours). We were staying in the Melia Cariari, some fifteen minutes driving from the city center. Beautiful hotel, but we were stunned that we had to pay 45 USD per person to bring the chicas to our room! Believe me, I won't go to that hotel again, even though the room was paid by the company.

Everybody seems to make money off the ho ' business in Costa Rica.

I am planning to going back to CR within a month. I have not been back for about 1 1/2 now. The last time I was there I did not bring vitamin V with me and regretted it. I was going to bring some but would like to know if anyone has tried Cialis. I get headaches after taking viagra.

Also does anyone know if Club 40 and VIPs nearby are open?
Sometimes you can find some talent in the lower end areas.

I usually stay at the Presidente but was thinking of trying one of the smaller hotels like Europa, has anyone had experience here?
thanks -

Ace00
08-20-04, 16:24
I have not stayed in the Europa but friends have with great reports.
They highly recommend it and you should be able to ask and negotiate a no guest fee deal.

I tried Cialis once with no real results other than a very mild headache unlike Vitamin V which had results but a big headache.

Do not know the status on the clubs which I try to avoid.

Hi fellas,

First-time poster, long-time reader. Have a question for veteran mongers: Are you aware of any other country that has the same terma-like experience as Rio (e.g., Monte Carlo, Lluomo, Solarium)? I really enjoyed my sessions down there, but was looking for something closer the the US without the time and expense involved. Any insight is appreciated.

Blind Lust

Regarding Cialis and Viagra:

I have had excellent results with Cialis, unlike Ace below, and the best part is that I got it free. If you have a regular physician, samples are readily available. Just ask and ye shall receive; the sample bottle contains five of either the low or high dose Cialis. Viagra is also still available in the 50 mg. sample packs of 3 or 5 (I forget). I've enjoyed using both as performance boosters, but I find that Viagra has worse side-effects for me than Cialis; Lovetra didn't work for me at all. Also, friends in Costa Rica have informed me that a doctor's appointment down there costs a fraction of what it does in the U.S. If you're going to be there awhile, why not find a doc and get a Rx? While there are farmacias which will sell these meds without Rx, most in the Gulch require a scrip (per information read in this Forum from Shamas and others).

Viagara gives me headaches too, as well as sinus congestion.

I switched to Cialis and haven't looked back. Plus, that stuff stays active for over 24 hours. Getting an erection has never been my problem, it's been maintaining one while wearing condoms. Cialis does the trick.

Hey guys. I normally go to the FKK's near Frankfurt a couple of times a year, but I've been seeing really good fares to CR on the net lately.

What I want to ask about is this: Has anyone heard of or hopefully stayed at the Scotland Apartments in San Jose? On their webpage they advertise $275-$350 per week (a bargain in my opinion) for a private apt. that's "9 blocks from city center and 1 block from Central Avenue." Supposedly that's an upscale residential area.

What intrigues me is that they say right on the webpage that it's an apartment complex "where you may entertain guests."

I'd appreciate any info.

It seems every week in my day to day personal interactions I hear about a guy or a group of guys that has been to or currently is in Costa Rica. "Oh my fiance is in Costa Rica fishing with his buddies." lol The cat is long out of the bag on C.R. It`s now household knowledge. I am just waiting for the national media to grab ahold of it, some TV specials, etc., then the price will soon jump to 150 to 200 at the Del Rey. Many do not take into account where they are and what their money is worth there. Big spenders, get ready to spend more...

Last time I was there I saw guys flashing C-notes and handing them over before leaving the bar with the girl. Why go up for $60 and get paid afterwards when there are guys all around the bar ready to hand over a C-note in advance? Not withstanding that many of the same guys are splurging for shopping sprees and may well send Western Unions once back home... Many chicas are getting spoiled and Americanized. Sometimes this behavior shows in the room, and this is the behavior we travel to avoid.

However, you can still get deals on the hot ones in the BM if the supply and demand happens to be in your favor. It`s a coin toss. The wrong plane load(s) can upset the balance any given afternoon or evening. Rio is looking more and more attractive...

I stayed at Scotland Apartments twice, in 2001 and 2002, I think it was. No problem with the guests. The higher rate is for the newer 4 story building. The older building is across the street and has the resident managers office. It is noisy if your bedroom faces the street. During the day you can easily walk either direction on Central Ave. to San Pedro Mall or to downtown. At night a taxi is required. The main disadvantage is that it is not at all convenient to the main play areas. I have since stayed in a downtown hotel and much prefer it even though I pay a little more.

Whitey2,

I stayed at the Scotland Apts about 2 years ago.

I stayed at the new building - the rent was higher. The rooms were very clean, fully furnished.

The Apt Manager ( a black lady) nickel and dime you a LOT. They charge you for towels, bed sheets, and their charges for telephone calls were very expensive. Do not use their phones - it was as expensive as a hotel.

The apartment is in a safe location. Sometimes, it was difficult to get a taxi to go downtown. During the day, you could walk and get to downtown in about 1/2 hour. Also, no problems in bringing anyone, and no extra charge!

My opinion is that you could negotiate a better rate with a hotel or a weekly rate, than renting at Scotland Apts.

Pura Vida!

Whitey2:

Apartments in SJ vary prices. I will be staying 1.5 miles north of downtown for $100.00 / week. The area is nice. The closer you get to downtown it will be hard to find an "Upscale" residential area. San Jose is a business city and not safe at night reguardles how "upscale" the area is. I have stayed in the barrio Amon wich is a safe area but one or two blocks in the wrong direction at night is not safe.

Here is a web side I found in this forum a while back with many apt. for rent. http://www.strayreality.com/class_homes_for_rent.htm

Use common sence. I do not think that SJ is too bad. There are mostly pick pockets and people grabing purses and running. Few hard crimes. Just do not walk alone at night, take a taxi. They are so cheap ($1.50 average) that it is not wise to put yourself in harms way for a coupe of bucks.

Good luck and happy hunting......

Thanks Coqui for that source for apartments. I now see that $350 would get you many of the listed apartments for an entire month. Wow! $350 in Europe would get you a dumpy room in a 2-star hotel for a week, maybe, unless you found a special internet rate.

Thanks too to Ace00, for that EXTREMELY detailed travel list your reference links to. I would not have thought about buying bottled water, although I spent a week in Mexico City several years ago and found out the hard way that you should even use the hotel's 'agua purificada' to brush your teeth with.

I think I'm going to give CR a try in about a month or so. Thanks again for the info.

Saturday 8-21 Ð This is my first trip to Costa Rica and arrived here around 3 PM after a long flight from Buenos Aires. With the night I had before, little sleep and fighting off a cold I didnÕt feel all that great when I got to the Hotel Del Rey so I laid down for a while.

The Hotel Del Rey is an OK place, nothing fancy but itÕs clean and everything works. I am on the 5th floor overlooking Avenida 1. It was noisy last night but didnÕt think it was too bad and it didnÕt keep me awake and I slept with the one little window open.

Around 6 PM I went down and could not believe the girls, they were in the restaurant, the lobby and the bar, and itÕs still early. I needed to eat so I went out to look around and got back about 9 PM and now the place is really packed. I sit and observed for a while and talked to a few that approached me. I donÕt know what it was, maybe IÕm spoiled from just being in Panama City and Buenos Aires, but I couldnÕt bring myself to pay 100 US for a girl. I hung around for a couple of hours then went to my room and finished my reports from BA. I went back down around 1 AM, just took it all in for about an hour then went to New York Bar, there was nobody there, then to Key Largo and a lot of the girls there were girls I had seen at the Blue Marlin. I talked to a couple of the ladies and in the end, at about 4 AM, I called it a night. I canÕt believe it, 10 days on the road and this is the only night I didnÕt get laid. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and I may have to change my mind about the 100 US part.

See ya around,

Mike

Sunday 8-22 Ð Thankfully when I woke up today I was feeling better. Thought I would catch up on some of the post about SJO and I was glad I did.

Read the post by redbull2372 and he said:

ÒI'll let you guys know that CR is getting ridiculously expensive. The girls at the BM have are charging $100 and there is very little negotiation. That place is ruined....FOR GOOD!!! You can thank all of those desperate fellow Americans for that. Too many of them paying $100 without even blinking an eye.Ó

Now this is my first time here and canÕt comment and some of the things that he said but I will say that, in my option, this is just not right. There is no way that you should be paying 100 US here. ItÕs just not that great here compared to other places. Hell you can go to San Diego, walk across the border, and have a great selection and a great time. I think that the girls might be better than here, and your choice for no more than 60 US. ThatÕs it on that and again this is just my option and what feels right for me but to each their own.

And now with his suggestions of 747, Eros and Cha Cha Cha I knew just what I was going to do today. Grabbed a late breakfast and off to 747 for one of those BBBJ for 4000 Colons. Got there about noon, paid, choose a girl and off we went. I never did understand her when she told me her name and she spoke no English so I donÕt know anything else about her. But she was kind of cute, a little weight and nice hair. I know that because I had her by the head helping her along. I very rarely cum from just a BJ but she did it.

Spent the next few hours wandering around and taking photos. Checked my map and I see that I am close to Centro Massaje and decide what the hell. ItÕs about 3 PM when I get there. There were some dogs there and no English so I was having a hard time when a kind of cute girl out from the back to help. She tells me that it is 5000 for half hour and 9000 for one hour with two pops. Well I tell her that at my age I could never get two pops so the half hour would be fine. They asked who I wanted and I said IÕll take her she speaks English.

Her name was Adriana 27 single with a four-year-old girl. She gave a short massage then turned me over, put a condom on and started the BJ. Then she got on top, was real wild, a little HJ, me on top, doggie, me on top and finished with her on top. Overall she was very pleasant and a nice girl. She asked where I was staying and when I told her the Del Rey she said oh, so many chica there. I said yes but I donÕt like them, their not nice like you. She asked if I would come back or maybe she could come to my hotel and gave me her cell number.

I went back to the hotel for a little nap. After dinner, about 9 PM, I went to Eros but they were closed and so was Idem across the street.

I hung out at BM awhile and talked to a couple ladies. One said she was from Panama and I told her it was a small world I was just in Panama City. We talked about the business down there and she knew the pricing so when she told me that it was 100 US here she understood why I thought it was to much. She came down to 80 US but I told her I didnÕt feel well and was tired so I was going to bed. She said what about tomorrow and said she started at 5 PM I told her weÕll see.

ThatÕs it for me for the day.

RANG - Nice report. You will find many nice places in the 4000-20,000 colone price range. While I've been in the Del Rey a few times, I would never pay the astronomical prices they ask.

It seems you've figured this out yourself. I would also not pay the joiner fees at the Del Rey either. It's just their way of ripping you off for a bit more.

Monday 8-23, Part One Ð Left the hotel around noon and made my way back to 747. When I walked in it was like they knew me, you go there twice and youÕre a preferred customer, kind of cool.

Picked a lady in a white tight short dress. Her name was Windy but I donÕt know any more. I paid her the 4000, we stripped and she went to work. She gave a good BBBJ but she could not get me to finish and was a little frustrated then she said sex and I said yes. She put a condom on then climbed on. She gave a good ride and with her grinding on me she came. I mean she really came, she was a squirter and I felt it running out. She was kind of embarrassed but I told her it was OK and I let her rest for a minute. We resumed with me on top and I finished doggie.

Nice job and I felt great. I gave 1000 tip and you would have thought it was a million.

Thanks for the encouragement Jaimito Cartero and this is how it should be.

I recognize Adriana from Arte y Sauna a number of years ago. She most recently was working at one of the locals places about 6 months. Nice to know where she is now. And it is right around the corner from Hotel Park!!!

I like Rocio from 747. If you see her, pick her up. She gave me a wonderful BBBJ, but I've been told she only does CBJs these days. She's a blonde in her 30's, and she usually has guys lined up. Don Gordo recommended her to me a couple of years back and she was really nice. DG has the pulse of moderately priced chicas in SJO.

Molino Rojo is nice, Arcadas decent also, if you want to try those places out. There's also a Tico strip club close to the Parque Central (and Hotel Park), that's got some good shows. I think the prices for the girls are still too high (40-50). I've got all the details in my Dec 2003 reports.

Have fun while you're there!

Monday 8-23, Part Two Ð Just had the best time and Eros. Headed over there at about 4 PM. Walked in and the girls, there were 6 and all were doable, came in and stood for me to choose from. I picked a thinner tall girl. Her name was Laura, later she said it was Francis, 25 from Nicaragua with long curly dirty blond hair.

It started with us standing and groping each other with deep wet kisses as we undressed then to the bed for some more kissing and groping. She put the condom on with her mouth and did her best to DT me, she couldnÕt do it but she sure tried. We had the standard three positions and finished doggie. There is a mirror at the head of the bed and what a sight it was. When I was done we just laid with each other and talked for the rest of the hour.

She asked where I was staying and said she wants to come to my room and spend the night when she gets off at midnight. She gave me her cell number and asked me to call her later. I donÕt think so.

She was great very sexy and passionate and with those deep wet kisses the whole time she was as close to a GFE as you will find. And for only 16000 why would you go anywhere else.

This cold is really getting the best of me and I sure want to get in one more tonight but donÕt know if I will make.

IÕll report later,

Mike

Hi 3 months in CR and having a great time. warning!!!!! do not pay $100 at the Dell Rey that is much to much. If you ask them to go for less they will. I have had chicas for 8000C or $20 out of the BM. there are many places to go in San Jose were you can find sex for 5000c or $12 some for 8000-10000c or $20-22 to spend more than that is nuts read the reports and take names of places to go. You are the boss you have the money. the one week pay for a worker in CR is $50 so if you give them more than that you are a sucker. There are many good hotels in San Jose so do not overpay for a room. Some will want to make you pay x-tra for a chica. I pay buy the month and get a good deal I never pay to bring someone to my room. I like to stay at the Hotel La Gran Via I know many of the staff and they are helpfull besides many WSG members stay there and know the steets and places to go. besides all that, many simi-pros hang there looking to make 5000c or $12 for one hour or so (that is good money for a semi-pro) and they seem to give better sex. I well be in San Jose or 3 more weeks If any members want to say Hi or go for a drink call me at 222-7313 and ask for Dino
have fun do not spend $$$$$$$

You are right. Actually I cannot tell you how many times I have had a girl at a Pension, or locas bar for $10-20 with tip, only to see her later that night going with a gringo and actually getting $100 for it. Just makes me laugh....

Dear Fellow Mongers,

I am formulating my report for San Jose, and I can pretty much assure you guys it is filled with details and pictures, including every place to find the girls. Although I am speaking pretty good Spanish and I am ready to go somewhere new.

I am looking for a spanish speaking country where Massages can be had for cheap and the hookers do overnights for less than $50. Also a place where it is easy to find a girlfriend, that has cheap apartments and good cheap food.

Thank You in advance for any and all feedback on this subject.

Happy Mongering,

Master Monger, you need to go to Buenos Aires or Rio de Janeiro.
Costa Rica is the Little Leagues, Rio and BA are the World Series!

MM-I'd second what what Sr Nalgas said. Buenos Aires is quite nice. Great food, good chicas, lots of things to do. You can rent an apartment for $300 or so a month, or $100-$150 a week (for decent quality, if you don't need AC or care about the neighborhood you can do it cheaper).

It does cost a bit more to fly there, so make sure you go for at least 2-4 weeks. Check out the WSG Mansion forum in the Argentina forum. Sounds pretty cool. The last time I was there, they were finalizing the deal to get it, but I'll be looking forward to going there.

BA is an amazing mix of Spanish, Italian and bit French too.

As a side note, I've never mongered in Brazil (only passed through), but Costa Rica is quite a special place. It's not balls to the walls chicas like Thailand or BA, but there are some real gems there.

Hey Gents,

I just found a pretty decent web resource, which lists a number of the bars/clubs discussed in this topic. It's nice, because many of the places are listed with telephone numbers and/or calle y avenida directions. What's surprising is that this page is a "mainstream" site, not particularly involved with the hobby. Note the number of bars that list "girls" as part of their attractions. You'll recognize some familiar names, I'm sure.

Just got back from a week here. Had a great time, as usual. Monday night at BM was slow, but the rest of the week it was overflowing and bargain basement time. A couple of my regulars were actually negotiating down for my company, because they knew that I was scouting. As luck would have it, my main connection found me there and I spent most of the week with her.

I managed to stop by Bar Monaco a couple of times and enjoyed it, as usual. You really have to watch the owner though. I tested him again on Thursday and said I have 10000c, but was thinking taking an hour. I asked, How much in US dollars? He picks up the calculator and slowly enters 50.00. I said okay, I'll just take 1/2 hour.

He yells upstairs in Spanish 'my friend, Americano, 1/2 hour, little more time okay." I walked upstairs and gave the guy the 10000c. He writes the note, closes the book and said, "Thank you."

"Hey what about my 3000c?" He answers, "No, it's 10000c." I said two days ago, it was 7000c. So he says he supposed to give me extra time, but went ahead and gave me the 3000c.

Anyhow, I felt kinda bad at that point so I gave it back to him and had about 45 minutes without rushing.

The only problem was when I got back to the Hotel Morazon, my main connection for the week was waiting for me and I was already exhausted.

By the way, Hotel Morazon corrected their mistake from my stay in May. Got a large double room for the advertized $40 coupon rate for single room (without the coupon), no charge for room safe, no extra person charges, and the bathroom worked this time.

On Wednesday, we went to La Princesa Marina for my favorite whole red snapper, but it didn't have any real flavor this time. Maybe I'm eating too much of it.

In any case, with AA now offering a web sale of $224 from Orlando, I might be back earlier than I had planned.

Just got word that Continental is having a sale out of ATLANTA for around $350 RT via Houston or Newark(!) to San Jose for the fall.
Book now if interested. It is higher out of Houston-- go figure??

They have good schedules if interested.

This will not last long. The only thing I can figure is that they are competing with Delta who is beginning two, YES TWO nonstops daily out of Atlanta starting in December. Holy Moly. This has got to be good for the CR economy and "fisherman" who crave the great pink snapper fishing in CR. Thanks Don Gordo.

Check from your city to be sure if you may have a deal in the wings. Try their web site.

Ace,

Continental, like most airlines, only lowers its fares when competing with other airlines, especially on the competitor's home turf. They do this all the time with A/A, out of DFW. I live in Austin, and generally have to fly (or drive) to IAH or DFW to make a connection.

I can often fly to DFW, on A/A, catch a Continental flight to Houston & make the connection for a flight to Cozumel, for less than flying Continental straight from Houston or Austin.

Idiotic to me, but I use it as an opportunity to see the folks up in Dallas, before "officially" starting my trip.

Comanche,

I will also be in SJ on 10/6 during a 7 hour layover on my way to Peru. I won't be getting a room, but should have most of the day to wander around and/or monger. Any suggestions? Do you think that is enough time to partake in SJ, or should I save my money for Lima, Cusco etc? Any tourist-type things that would be good for such a short stay?? Any and all advice appreciated.

Jaimito Cartero

Depending on what you want to do (and when your layover is), you could do 747, the purple house next to it. Both about $10-$15. For nice places, check out Zona Blue (24,000 colones, lately), and Idem (18,000 I think).

Hey Daily,

If you are looking for a good spot to hit for your layover - may I suggest the massage parlors. Yes Jamito suggested the Zona Blue - that is good. But there are many others. PM me for details or just search the board.

If you want a little higher quality. Tell the taxi driver "Vamos a'l Hotel Del Rey Por Favor"

Once in the Del Rey - grab a cerveza and enjoy the many ladies trying to pick you up. Once you have negoiated the deal with your chosen chica. Go to either Hotel Asia ( a low cost dumpy type of hotel) that is a few minutes walk away or to Hotel Eden ( a reasonably priced hotel that is more poshly decorated) I would recommend the Hotel Eden and any taxi driver will know where.

Pura Vida and Good luck,

Is there anyone out there who has used the Bendricks Vacation service to set up a vacation? I hate the idea of having to join a club (theirs) to book a week with some lovlies. I am in Nevada and due for a nice vacation, so I thought I would go to Costa Rica for lots better action than they have here in Las Vegas (and a lot less costly.) 10safe0sory,

I've yet to read about ANY packaged adult vacation that wasn't a sucker's bet. Its hard for me to be too specific about Bendricks since it will cost you seventy bucks just to find out the details of what they offer, but their home page mentions a 4 day/3 night trip to CR for $1695. If you were planning a trip on your own to CR for a similar time period, air/hotel and companion whouldn't cost you much more than $1000 if that much. Unless you're one of those guys that insist on paying las vegas prices, 24hr female companionship in CR absolutely shouldn't cost you more than $200 and many guys would say $100 should be your max. That means going with Bendricks you are enriching the site owner at least $500-700 over what you should be paying. Don't be a shmoe.

Joining a place or going to Bendricks is reallly a waste of money.
You can do much better on your own in CR. There are plenty of places to go and meet ticas. Just read the forums. I would suggest you go to the Del Rey and meet some of the ticas. They will ask for $100. but can be talked down. I have had girls stay with me that were very attractive all night for about $70.
If you are nice to them and treat them well you will do fine.

Again, read the forums here. Avoid Bendricks. Once you have been to CR you will realize that it is a great place to go for fun, relaxation and mongering.

Daily,

I live in Peru and travel thru Costa Rica on my way to N.Y.C 5-6 times a year. I always arrange to have a 5 hour layover in San Jose to break up my flight. My normal routine is to call a taxi driver (Antonio 506-821-6032) and have him pick me up at the airport. I pay him $30 for my three hour stay. We drive into San Jose and go to Zona Blue. In fact I was just there yesterday and had a great session with Brenda. The manger is a great guy from N.Y.C known as N.Y. Eddie. (If you go tell him the WSG and the other N.Y. Eddie sent you. It is $55 for a hour and they have free phone service to the USA and internet acess if you need to do a little work like me.

I get back to the airport about 1 1/2 hours before my flight. When you come in mark your visa as transit. Also tell customs to mark your passport as transit. If you do this you avoid the $26 exit fee.

On the ride down ask the flight attendent for 2 Immigration forms. Fill out the second and keep with you. When you return to the airport walk to Polica/imigration booth to your far left by the security checkpoint. Give them the second form and your passport and they will give you the exit visa.

As far as Brenda is concerned. IMHO she is the best and prettiest Tica there. She gives a great bbbj, DATY and her massage is truly good. Tell her you are friends with Eddie from Peru and she will warm up fast. Zona blue is closed on sundays and Brenda is there m-s 9am-6pm.

I hope this helps and let me know when you are in Peru.

Ford,

The Europa is no more than a 10 minute stroll from the gulch, my old fat ass made it with no problem a few times a day. It a nice hotel, quiet, well kept and has advantages over the Prez, mainly it is much quietier. They also have two PCs in the lobby for guest use, free, no limits on time. I paid cash and was charged NO guest fees (took up 3 at a time for my birthday party).

The truck drivers strike is over and it did not effect the city much at all from what I have been told. Last couple of days has been normal. Well as nearly normal as can be with so many of us in town.

The Prez has some rooms opening up due to cancellation from hurricane Francis.

There at TOOOOOOOOO many bros in town to start to name all of them. Happy hour at the BM should be very interesting this afternoon.

Hi Guys,

My original request (about two months ago) revolved around the fact that I wanted a hotel with a pool, and I remember several members pm'd me and the Hotel Europa came up again and again as a good choice.

Once I see the "set-up" down there, I'll decide on walking or taking cabs - I understand they're cheap and I used taxi's on my trips to San Pedro Sula and Santo Domingo and it wasn't that much of a hassle.

Cheers.

This trip report consists of both information about the San Jose Costa Rica portion of my trip, and about Colombia. So, I will organize everything into segments where I can post the San Jose portion in the Central America section, and then post the Colombia portion in the South America section. This promises to be a very long trip report, and breaking things up in this way will make it much easier to read as well.

The first part of my trip to Cartegena was fraught with airline travel problems. It was very frustrating at the time, but eventually things worked out, and the trip proceeded according to plan.

I am going to relate the details of my travel problems because it’s a wonderful catharsis, and because portions of my story may help some of you in your planning if you travel through San Jose. However, this promises to be a lengthy post, so pace yourself accordingly.

I had arranged to fly from the Midwest to Houston (IAH), and then on to San Jose Costa Rica, where I was to catch a plane two days later for Cartegena. I wanted to spend a couple of days in San Jose before traveling on to Cartegena. I have two good girlfriends in San Jose, and my plan was to see them for a couple of days before continuing my trip.

The trip started out perfectly, but, when we got within about 25 miles of Houston, the pilot realized he was running low on fuel. Because of a slight backup in Houston, he didn’t feel as though he had sufficient time to remain in formation to land, and we were diverted back to Dallas for fuel by air traffic controllers.

I was told it was not entirely the fault of the pilot, but that our flight had been instructed to fly at a relatively low altitude by air traffic control, which consumed an unexpected amount of fuel.

As a result, the plane was late getting into Houston, and I missed my connecting flight to San Jose that evening. It was the last flight out of Houston so the airline decided to put me up at the Sheraton near the airport. Obviously, I was very disappointed at the prospect of spending the night in Houston and not with one of my girlfriends in San Jose.

The airline (Continental) wanted to keep my bags and forward them on to San Jose on the flight that was to leave in the morning. However, I was concerned that the trip was already seemingly jinxed, and realizing that I was going to catch a flight from San Jose to Cartegena in just two days, I decided that I could not afford to take the chance that the airlines might lose my bags. I didn’t want to be arriving in Cartegena, and have my bags sitting in San Jose.

So, I decided to reclaim my bags in Houston, and to recheck them the next day prior to getting on the flight to San Jose. This process promised to take at least 2 hours according to all of the gate agents. So, I prepared myself emotionally, and ventured down to the baggage services area of George Bush International.

To my complete surprise, I was delighted when the agents in baggage services retrieved my bags quickly, and I was on my way to the Sheraton in less than 25 minutes. But, I was just lucky because it is common knowledge that the process can and does generally take much longer, especially when the airport is busy.

The next morning I boarded my flight for San Jose without incident and arrived in San Jose around one in the afternoon. I proceeded to the Hotel Presidente by taxi, and everything seemed to be back on track again.

I was intending to see my girlfriend from my last trip, the girl that worked over at Josephine’s Strip Club. I called her cell phone, and she told me she had to work that evening, but that she wanted to see me. She decided to come over to see me from 3pm to about 6pm. It was perfect timing because she had to be at work by 7pm, and I wanted to see my other girlfriend too, the one that had been working at Cassablanca strip club last time I visited San Jose.

The girl that worked at Cassablanca had expected me to show up the previous night. I had decided to check email while I was waiting for the Josephine’s girl to show up, and I noticed that the Cassablanca girl had sent an email asking me why I didn’t want to see her. She thought I stood her up. She didn’t realize that my plane had been diverted, and I was sitting in Houston the previous night.

So, because of the flight delay, I had formulated a plan B, which was to see the Josephine’s girl for a couple of hours from 3-6pm, then to visit the Cassablanca girl at her club in the evening while the Josephine’s girl was working.

The Cassablanca girl had switched jobs and moved over to a club named Kumar since my visit to San Jose last month. So, I planned on finding Kumar later, after my Josephine girl left for work.
My girl from Josephine’s came over for a couple of hours and we enjoyed seeing each other very much. She told me she wanted to come back to see me after work, and that she wanted to stay with me all night so she could spend some time with me before I leave for Colombia. That was a great idea, because my girlfriend at Kumar didn’t get off work until at least 4am, and my girl from Josephines could make it back to my hotel by 2:30am.

So, after my Josephines girl left for work around 6pm, I checked emails at the internet place up the street, ate dinner, and visited some pharmacies in the area to check prices on some things I needed.

I arrived at Kumar around 10pm. I sat down and asked the waiter to fetch my girlfriend. She was in the back getting ready. She had no idea that I had finally made it to town, and she didn’t know that I had received her email telling me where she now worked. So, my presence was a complete surprise to her.

When I sat down, one of the other girls was quickly moving in on me, and just about that same time, my girlfriend saw me from across the room. She let out a really loud scream, and she had a big smile on her face. She ran from across the room, through her arms around me, and started kissing me all over. The other girl just stood there with a big grin on her face.

My girlfriend is acting really happy to see me and we have a great couple of hours in Kumar. Sometimes these girls really make you feel like they genuinely “love” you. It is a really nice feeling. My girlfriend from Kumar wanted to come to the hotel to spend the night with me after she got off work at 4am, but I told her that my flight leaves San Jose at 2am in the morning for Colombia.

I didn't want two girls showing up at the hotel at the same time, both of them expecting to screw me silly, unless of course they are interested in a three-some. These girls are not bi, so I thought it would be wiser just to tell my Kumar girl that I was running out of time in San Jose due to the airline problems and that she would not have time to come see me at the hotel.

I liked the selection of girls over at Kumar better than Cassablanca. There are some really nice looking girls in Kumar. I like the flaca morena girls, and Kumar has several. I had never heard of Kumar before my girlfriend had told me about it in her email, so I was totally unfamiliar with it. Maybe I just missed it, but I had never seen it referred to in the archives of various sites, so it was kind of a pleasant surprise. The drink prices were much more reasonable than places like Josephine’s, and the girls were better looking than what I found over at Cassablanca. However, compared to Cassablanca, the salida to take a girl out of the club is very expensive. I think it costs around $200 to take a girl out of Kumar for all night, whereas it is very reasonable over at Cassablanca, around $35 for all night, plus whatever you pay your girl, which is probably going to range in the neighborhood of $60-80 for all night.

I left Kumar around 1am to return to the hotel. I decided that it had been a long day, and that I would take a nap before my girlfriend from Josephine’s returned. It was just what the doctor ordered. I slept a couple of hours, and around 3am, my girl from Josephine’s called from the lobby of the Hotel Presidente. She came up to my room and we had a really nice time getting re-acquainted.

My girlfriend from Josephine’s stayed with me the next morning and we had breakfast in The News café inside the Hotel Presidente. Then, my girl came with me to the airport to see me off on my trip to Colombia. I explained that I would be back in San Jose for only one night in about a week after spending some time in Colombia. She made me promise to call her so she could see me again.

Now, keep in mind, this girl did not ask for one penny the entire time she was with me. She stayed with me all night and part of the previous evening before going to work. She told me in very sincere ways how I was really special to her, and she proclaimed in very sincere ways that she loved me. I did not pay her anything and I did not buy her anything except breakfast at the café in the morning. She is a really good girlfriend.

According to sources I have in San Jose, she doesn’t go with other men at her job at Josephine’s. The guy at the Hotel Presidente said he had never seen her there before. She is very, very, pretty. She has the face and body of an angel. I notice that when she is with me, other men break their necks to look at her. She is really that stunningly beautiful.

She apparently goes to work each night and then she goes straight home to her casa. She does not seem to be a pro. I think she is merely a girl who earns her money stripping in a very exclusive and expensive club. Her mother thinks she works in a restauarant in San Jose, and nobody in her family realizes she is a stripper. Much of my information I have about her I have verified through third parties.

I am really surprised by her sometimes because she is sometimes embarrassed at being nude with me. I asked her how she could be a stripper and she says she is very embarrassed sometimes, but that she can earn a lot of money to strip, so she does it. She acts like a very modest regular girlfriend might act. I have also noticed that she is relatively inexperienced sexually. Lately, she has been very passionate with me. She becomes more and more passionate and less and less inhibited each time we are together.

I am really starting to like her a lot because she does not act like she is a pro, nor does she even act like a semi-pro. I think she is a legitimate girlfriend. I have had to teach her things sexually. It is like she is my high school sweetheart or something.

I know it is crazy to assume that a girl that one might meet in a strip club is that naïve and that she is merely a “regular” girl, but I am starting to believe it. She had made comments to me and asked questions of me that make me think she is legitimately interested in me as a love interest. I think all girls are interested in our money and in gifts, regardless of whether they are pros, semi-pros, or otherwise. Those of you who have wives and girlfriends will understand what I mean. But, that doesn’t mean that they do not love us or that they do not also want us to satisfy their love interests, does it?

If it is all an act, then she is a very good actress. Anyway, it doesn’t matter me. She has convinced me of her sincerity, and I like her very much. The more I am around her, the more I like her. Besides, I will never be in a position to take our relationship any further than it is now because I have other permanent commitments in the USA. So, a permanent relationship with this girl is out of the question for me. So, I will just have fun and give her my love when I am with her. Who could ask for more? Besides, what am I to think when she has cost me absolutely NO MONEY this trip.

Anyway, we went to the airport together the following morning, and she saw me off. However, to be perfectly honest with everyone…She did explain that she would like to have a new TV, but she told me she would be happy with a used one too. I told her that I would not give her any money, and that I would see her when I come back to San Jose. She said that is fine, and that she does not want money from me. She says all the right things. I told her I might think about buying her a used TV when I come back to San Jose, but for now, I would not give her any money. She was fine with that and started kissing me and telling me she loved me. It was no different than if I told my wife or girlfriend the same thing.

Many of us are very cynical about some of these girls when they ask for money or want gifts, but I say it no different than what most of us who are married or have girlfriends go through on a daily basis. Just because the girl wants a TV, money, or a gift doesn’t mean that they are only in it for the money, TV, or the gift, right? You sell yourself short if you think that the girl is only interested in only your money. I don’t think it is always the case. Obviously, it is usually the case most of the time, but we sell ourselves short when we click with certain girls, and just because they ask for gifts or money, we think they do not want us for love and romance as well.

Anyway, enough preaching…stayed tuned for my continuation of my trip to Colombia, and my follow-up report of my last night with my Josephine’s girl upon my return to Costa Rica following my trip to Colombia. More airline problems await me when I get to the airport in San Jose, and I am really thrown a curve in trying to make it to Cartegena…stayed tuned for the sorted details

Hey, U-Bob. One test you can do to see if they really like you, is to tell her that you're going to quit your job in the US and come and live with her in CR. (Or even better, you got fired!) Even though you'll be poor, at least you'll be happy. If you communicate that you have no assets their interest seems to fade quite a bit.

While she may not like to go with guys, she is motivated by money. That is what got her in the club in the first place. Have fun with her, but I think you *are* deluding yourself if you think it's just you.

And while, in the end, we can say that all women are motivated by money in one way or another, to do something that you really don't like (stripping, being naked in front of strangers) shows that she will go to great lengths to get what she wants. (ie money, etc)

I have heard that some gringos are eating free breakfasts at News CAfe. The security is very lax and many men just help themsleves to the buffet. While I do not condone this behavior, it is a way of Tica life.

Ok, more of the rest of the story…

This story is primarily an airline horror story, and it contains some logistical information and recommendations that will be of help to those of you traveling to San Jose, Panama and/or Cartegena. So if you don’t want to read a long story about a travel nightmare, then stop here because this is a long one.

I had spent the night with my girl from Josephines, and was under the mistaken impression that my flight was to leave San Jose for Panama City, Panama, at 9:30am, and that I was then going to catch a connecting flight from Panama City to CTG.

I should have checked the itinerary, and actually, I did look at my itinerary breifly, but I must have looked at the arrival time for Panama City and not the departure time from San Jose.

I don’t know why it is, but whenever a beautiful women is involved, it clouds my judgement. There is always a tendency to wish you had more time than you actually have, and I had imagined that the flight was leaving San Jose at 9:30am. Normally, I would have been more accurate in determining when I was supposed to be departing, etc…but, I think that subconsciously, I must have wished I had more time.

Imagine that a beautiful woman is coming over to see you. It is 3:00am, and if your flight is scheduled to leave San Jose at 7:30am, then that means you must leave the hotel in plenty of time to get to the airport, pay the departure tax, stand in long lines to check your baggage, etc…

So, that means you must leave that beautiful women, and head to the airport at 5:00am, or maybe even earlier if you believe all the hype about arriving at the airport early, especially for international flights. That only leaves 1-1/2 hours, at best, to enjoy her company.

But, if you believe your flight leaves at 9:30am, then that gives you plenty of time to enjoy her company, and still have plenty of time to get to the airport. My feeble minded monger brain just took over when I was looking at the itinerary, and my senses were clouded sufficiently to blissfully imagine that the flight was going to be leaving at 9:30am instead of 7:30am, thereby giving me sufficient time with my sweetheart.

I arrived at the airport with my girlfriend and trusted taxi driver around 7:30am, they dropped me off in front of the airport, we said our good-byes, and I made my way over to pay the departure tax counter, where I was processed relatively quickly.

Generally, I like to pay the departure tax when I arrive in San Jose because it eliminates the prospect of being significantly delayed getting into line at the ticket counters. But, on this trip, everything had been so messed up with the airlines, that I had forgotten to pay the departure tax when I arrived in San Jose. It was just another thing I was going to have to do before getting into the ticket counter lines to check baggage.

Fortunately, I remember thinking…Oh, I have plenty of time…The lines were not long at the departure tax line, but, I noticed that the lines at almost all the major carriers were very long. It promised to be a long wait getting processed to check baggage.

I eventually noticed what I initially thought was a good thing. There did not seem to be anyone in line at the COPA counter, which was the airline I was scheduled to take to Panama City/CTG. Then, I noticed that there were not even any counter agents there. So, with my feeble mongering mind still in gear, I waited at the front of the COPA line and concluded that I must be too early, and that counter agents would be arriving soon to start receiving customers.

So, I waited there for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I asked one of the baggage handlers behind the counter what time the counter agents would be showing up to begin processing passengers. It was becoming conspicuous that no other passengers were there to be processed, so I thought I better ask the question.

The baggage handlers advised that the counter agents would be returning to the counter in a half-hour. All of the inconsistencies of his statement began to finally penetrate the mush, and I started to wonder if perhaps I had somehow made a TERRIBLE mistake.

I left the COPA line, where I was the only passenger waiting, and I decided to check my itinerary to determine where I might have gone wrong. The reality of what I had done fell upon me like a ton of wet bricks. So, my mind started racing and trying to decide what my best course of action was going to be.

There are so many considerations that run through your mind when this kind of thing happens to you. I was concerned that Alex, Mery’s Taxi Driver, would be waiting for me in CTG, and that I would need to get in touch with her as soon as possible.

So, my immediate thoughts were how to get in touch with Mery to inform her of my delay, and to make sure Alex would not be waiting for me unnecessarily at the airport in Cartegena later that afternoon.

Making telephone calls, especially internationally, is not an easy task from the San Jose airport. First of all, the telephones in the airport all require a Costa Rica telephone company telephone card to make a telephone call. I don’t know of any telephones there in the airport that can just use a major credit card or calling card (MCI, AT&T, etc…).

If there are phones in that airport that will utilize calling methods that we in the US are familiar with, I am not aware of them. So, be warned, when you are in the San Jose airport, you must have a Costa Rica telephone company issued telephone card to utilize a telephone. If anyone knows otherwise, please correct me if I am wrong.

I inquired as to where I could purchase a telephone card, and there was apparently only one telephone card vendor in the entire airport. The booth was unmanned, and located in from of the Bank kiosk next to the departure tax counters. US cell phones WILL NOT function in Costa Rica, so the two cell phones I had with me were virtually useless.

To my knowledge, there is no way to communicate with anyone outside of that airport without first having a card that will work in conjunction with the pay telephone equipment they have located there in front of the ticket counter area.

My brief and panicky investigation into the matter caused me great distress at the time all of this was occurring because there did not seem to be any way of contacting Mery in CTG, my girlfriend in San Jose, my taxi driver in San Jose, contacting the airline ticket agents by telephone, contacting an alternate airline by telephone, booking a reservation at the Hotel Presidente for one more night, etc… I was indeed in the “Twilight Zone.”

So, by this time, I was really in a funk. I just started to slowly wander the airport to contemplate my dilemma. So, I wandered down to the end of the airport where the departures board was located. I gazed up at the board and noticed that there were no other flights scheduled to leave for CTG from San Jose.

Then, “EUREKA,” I noticed a schedule on the board indicating that a small airline was scheduled to leave San Jose for Panama City in about an hour. WOW, what a God send that would be. I might actually be able to connect with my Copa flight in Panama City as planned. The name of the airline is West Carribean Airways, and their ticket counter is located on the far side of the airport in front of the Bank kiosk.

The West Carribean Airways flights was scheduled to arrive in Panama City 1-1/2 hours before my COPA flight was scheduled to depart Panama City for CTG…PERFECT!

Unfortunately, this little mistake was going to cost me $174.00 for a one-way ticket to Panama City. But, I was so happy I was actually going to make my COPA flight from Panama City to CTG, that I was delighted by my “luck” and I gladly paid the ransom.

So, I checked my bag with West Caribbean, and all the West Caribbean passengers soon boarded a small bus bound for the aircraft sitting on the tarmac in San Jose.

The aircraft was a small propjet with about 30 seats. The seats on the plane were worn, but the plane was clean, the staff was courteous, the flight was calm and smooth, and they even served a beverage while in flight. All in all, a relatively pleasant experience really.

I arrived in the airport in Panama City right on schedule, processed through customs, retrieved by baggage, and proceeded to the COPA ticket counter to begin my negotiations with COPA.

COPA advised that the flight to CTG was now overbooked, and that I would have to go on standby if I wanted to try to catch the same flight. The ticket agent informed me that I would have to pay a $40 fee for missing my initial flight, which is apparently viewed as a change in your ticket, and she also informed me that there would be a $20 airport tax fee that would also have to be paid. Fortunately, the ticket agent was nice to me, and she waived the $40 fee, but the $20 fee was out of her hands.

So, I checked my baggage with COPA wondering if I was going to be able to get on the plane as a standby passenger or whether I would be stranded for the night in Panama City. The thought also occurred to me that my bags, which were now checked on a flight that I was a standby passenger on, might arrive in CTG without me, and whether I would be stranded in Panama City without a change of clothes, etc. Oh, the joys of air travel…

So, I waited with anticipation at the gate to see if I was going to make in on board. There didn’t seem to be that many passengers, and they took my ticket at the gate an allowed me on board without even calling standby names. So, things looked pretty good.

I made it on board the aircraft, and held my breath until they closed the hatch door, and the aircraft pushed back from the gate. I made it. I was on my way to the promised land and only about $194 poorer. Not bad really, but a really stupid mistake on my part. Live and learn.

I will continue with the “rest of the story,” which will be centered in Cartegena, and those stories will involve more details about my mongering activities. Thank you for reading about my nightmarish airline travel…it has been very cathartic for me. Gracious.

Hey Jaimito Cartero,

Already tried that story about moving to Costa Rica instead of bringing her to the USA. She says she doesn't care, and wants me in Costa Rica with her.

When I tell her NO MONEY or REGALOS, she says, "no problem." When I tell her I do not have any money, she says "no problem." I didn't give her anything and spent at least over 24 hours with her last time. So, I think there is something to my theory. But, on the other hand, maybe she is just a long range planner...and she thinks she is building and future annuity :-)

No really, I'm not naive...I realize she is motivated by money, and you are absolutely correct when you say that she will go to great lengths for money. A modest girl who decides to strip for a living will do almost anything.

But, I still think there is something more than just the money between us too, which makes it all the more fun.

In the long run, none of it matters. I will never be with her permanently or visa versa...I am just in it to have fun, and do not take any of it too seriously.

I have also heard that some monger guys check into the Holiday Inn Aurela by Morazon Park and request a DOUBLE room, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY, because their girlfriend will be joining them later. I heard it costs the same $75 for single or double occupancy, but one doesn´t get the breakfast included.

This way there is no $20 guest charge and $4 tax for the guest.

While I cannot condone or advocate this totally repulsive and deceitful behavior, it appears to be happening among thrifty minded mongerers who save greatly on multiple guest entries (entries into their hotel room and entries into their sperm depository girlfriends).

Psst!

Paying for double occupancy allows one to legitimately bring in multiple chicas at most hotels in Costa Rica. Ironically, many are so accustomed to the "girl charge", they never even consider this simple point.

I checked my girl in at the Hotel Presidente last time as a second occupant of the room.

I think it cost me $10 extra, but she doesn't have to go through the sign in process each time she comes up to the room with me. She also got the complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Obviously, nothing is free in life, and I suppose you could say that her breakfast cost me $10, but it seemed to work out well for us. It was a little less of a hassle getting her in and out of my room.

Normally, I would have bought breakfast in the morning for her in the News Cafe anyway, and I don't know if that would have cost me as much as $10. So, I don't know if it's worth making her the second occupant of the room just based upon getting the complimentary breakfast.

I would only recommend doing it if you expect to be with the same girl for a period of time where your comings and going might become a hassle having to check in and out every time.

In addition, if you think you have something developing between you that promises to be more than ST, then it makes her feel like she is not such a punta.

Have been in town for six day and twenty nights, Ace00 got me abused and misused to the point I forgot to give him a present I broght down for him. Well, looks like I have a liter of bourbon to drink tonight.

One of my favorites lost her ID card so I couldn't get her in the Prez, she then got sick and was in the hospital for a few more days, today I talked with her and we have a date for Tuesday.

I picked up "P" from Key Largo who I haven't seen for 2 years, she has been working the Pacific coast and comes to SJO to make extra money to help finish off her house. We dickered price and I lost my mind and agreed to $60 and something she kept saying in Spanish. She's not a flaming beauty but pretty enough and has a super good attitude. We hit my room at 11pm, I gave her one of my little bottles of perfume and we got down to business. We tried all avenues of approach along with nipple nipping/tongue flicking, ball massaging and scrotum hair tickeling. bbbj, and covered finish. During the session I lost my mind long before I lost my load so best I can remember is @#&%^#)(#%! and a few more %^$@). We cleaned up and now she starts in with the Spanish part that I didn't understand. She didn't want to leave, she wanted more play time. I'm too old for this but I felt obligated to do my best to keep my word. Around 330am I died and we snuggled in for some sleep. I pulled her cheeks apart and flopped my spent meat between them for the extra warmth. At 615am she started to rump rub me a bit, pulled me out from between her cheeks, cleaned up agian and went home. $60 for 7 hours. I'm going to see her again tomorrow night for my last night hump.

Hi Guys,

Good to see that mule brought his nephew down to introduce "donkey" to the good life.

Ace

Yes LB beat me up, kicked me, bit me, punched me, kissed me, sucked me, nipped me, abused me, misused me, sucked on me some more, tickled me, teased me, hunched me, humped on me, made me pray, cuss, scream, holler, gulp and fart. It just doesn 't get any better than that :-)

I was going to call LB back in to stay the night but decided I wanted to hook up with P from KL who had stayed the night a few days ago. She didn't come in work, it was too late to call LB so I went prowling. Got talking with a hen who rubbed me the right way, we made all of the agreements up front, took her to the room, she demanded her $ up front, I handed her her purse and sweater, eased her out the door and bid her a soft Adios. She was saying something as I closed the door gently, didn't care. Decided I still needed a partner so I waited a few minutes and went out to prowl one more time, made it as far as the elevator. One of the BM girls was waiting there, we chatted, made a $60 deal before we hit ground zero, back up to the room and had a splendid hours entertainment.

I have R coming in this afternoon and for tonight I want to grab this munchkin from the BM that I saw last night. It's my last night and I'm not going to waste it away.

I spoke with the manager today about the low life scum who want to filch a free meal. He told us he followed a gentleman just the other day back to the Morazon. GoRio, you can't go wrong with the Presidente. Only a couple of blocks' walk from the Blue Marlin and Key Largo. Very guest friendly but only one at a time :( I didn't see a pool but I was told about a jacuzzi on the roof. But you'd better book early because it fills up fast. I had to change hotels mid-week because the hotel was booked up for the weekend.

To the best of my knowledge only 2 hotels in the down town area have pools, Best Western and Europa. Pools just aren't in demand as the temperature is almost always moderate and the rainy season is so long. I have talked with a few guys who have stayed at the Del Ray and were not thrilled with it. Old and noisy. The new section of the prez is very good. If you can stand to take an easy 10 minutet walk the Europa is a good choice.

I haven't keep up with the posts lately, if it hasn't been reported let me be the first, the Prez is putting in a Sports Bar on the second floor. It will be overtop of the present KFC.

GoRio,

I second Presidente. No pool that I know of, but you probably won't need it. Very chica friendly, two blocks from Blue Marlin, and the BEST place to have breakfast in the morning (included).

I almost always end up in the old half, but so far all the chicas told me that even that is nicer than Del Rey. OTOH, I've seen mongers take two chicas up to the room there, whereas I understand that Presidente now enforces one chica per visit. But there's no chica fee at Presidente.

Gentlemen,

After reading thru all the info that has been provided, I finally booked my flight and hotel for Nov. 9-14. Got a good deal (I think) with Continental, non-stop from Newark to SJO for $400 R/T. Hotel accomidations are at the Del Rey. This trip is a gift to myself in celebration of my impending divorce. If anyone is planning to be there at that time, look for me at the BM. I'm not hard to miss ( big and tall).

Shark,

I stayed at the Barcelo Amon Plaza in April, 1999. It is a nice hotel and had a good restaurant. Chica fee was $20 or $25 as I recall. It is close to Zona Blue and Farol Rojo and you certainly can walk to those places, but probably not at night. I much prefer the Presidente.

The Amon Plaza is highly recommended, but it's a tad classier than the Gulch hotels, and depending on who's working the night desk, they might look askew at you if you bring in a chica. If Steve, the night manager, is there - no problem. He's a great guy. They've opened a casino there since I last stayed at the hotel. Have fun.

Florida Cracker,

The Presidente is one of the best places to stay in San Jose. They do not charge to bring girls up to the rooms like the "guest fee" at del rey. I live here now but before I stayed at the Del Rey and really had a bad time, very noisy, no service if you have a problem, and one time after returning from the beach my girl needed to get her things from the room and return home. They charged me $10 to have her go to the room for a few minutes. I checked out the next morning and never went back.

I also stayed at the Morazon a few times, the rooms are good and I do not believe they charge for a guest. The problem there is they will often overbook or just give your room away even with a reservation. Last thing you want is to get to San Jose and have no room.

The hotel across from the Presidente is expensive and does charge a large fee for a guest. I only stayed there once and did not like it.

Bottom line is the Presidente in the best, I have sent many friends there and they always stay there on there next trip.

Hope this helps,

Scott

Cracker, I stayed at both the Presidente and La Gran Via on my first CR trip. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.

Presidente is more in the center of the action and the News Cafe downstairs is a cool place to hang out. If you're new to San Jose then this is your best bet. I met no fewer than 15 other mongers there who were more than happy to offer advice. I even got a walking tour of San Jose from WillySP, a great guy if you should run into him. There is also direct access to the casino next door. However, there were too many cab drivers and rip off artists hanging out in front of the hotel for my liking. And at $38 a night, there are cheaper places in town.

La Gran Via is around 200 yards down Avenida Central. It is significantly less expensive ($25 when I went) and not nearly as crowded. Because of its location adjacent to the National Museum courtyard, there are very good views of the mountains in the distance from your balcony. There is no A/C in the room but it did have a mini fridge. Both hotels have in-room safes and neither place charges a guest fee.

Basically, if you're only there to sample the wares of the Blue Marlin and a massage parlor or two, then I would go with Presidente. It is closer to the action and everyone else is there for the same thing. But I really liked staying at La Gran Via. It was quieter (no borrachos screaming their heads off outside my door at 4 AM) and the location allowed me to check out some local landmarks (Museums, Central Market, etc.). I would stay there again.

I'll throw in my 2 cents on this one. I really like the Presidente, the breakfast is great. The rooms including the junior suites are great. Now I admit I haven't stayed at the other places but I like it.

Mikemay is correct you will always find a group of guys at breakfast at the rail. Mike is a great guy and we did have a great walk around town. We tried Krysis but they didn't have any ladies working but we did get a quick tour, then to NF and back to ZB.

I will be there Oct 2 - 10 with a side trip and would be more than happy to meet up with anyone and introduce them to the guys that I know there.

I stayed at both and I liked the Presidente a lot more. For an extra $20/night more I got an A/C room which was much cleaner (Make sure your room is in the new section of the hotel) and breakfast. Well worth the extra $$'s IMHO. Negotiate the corporate rate and you get an extra few dollars off.

Thanks for all the feedback. Man, decisions, decisions. I e-mailed the Presidente yesterday, asked about the corporate rate and still haven't heard back. Same for the La Gran Via. Is that par for the course? Right now I'm shooting for a short stay Oct. 19-26 with 4 days in SJ and 3 in Jaco. Gotta get away from all these damn hurricanes.

Hi everyone,

I'm heading back to San Jose toward the end of Oct. Has NF reopened? Also, I read that the prices at ZB has gone up. Is that true?

Thanks for any info. I'm looking forward to having that Argentinean steak again.

Yes the Hotel Presidente is "all that", but let me make a simple suggestion, or two. If you happen to get in the newly remodeled section, take your ear plugs, it's loud - especially early morning with a certain street musician. Secondly, be prepared for the non-fitted sheets, and paper thin pillows. You will often find your skin laying bare on an uncovered mattress; imagine that. Lastly, never mind the Do Not Disturb sign, the hotel staff typically ignores it but lead you to believe it's honored.

That said, I like the Presidente most for its professional approach to the hobby. I was most impressed by the masking of personal info on earlier guess (name and room number) when the chicas sign in. Other hotels didn't bother with such trivial detail.

By the way, don't forget to pay the tax and get your exit papers at the time of arrival, you'll be glad you did. You can do this by going out the airport, across the street, up the stairs and back into the airport; to the right of entrance.

Gentlemen,

I have been in Costa Rica for about two months and I will be doing an in depth report on San Jose soon, lets just say I know more than even the TICOS.

Anyway, the best hotel in San Jose is the Royal Dutch, by far, and anyone who goes there now and says different is just ignorant.

The Royal Dutch is located on the corner off Ave. 2 and Calle 4 it has all the amenities and EXCELLENT BEDS, it has Air Conditioning and it has 27 inch TV´s. Here is the best part it is very chica friendly (No Charge) and it is only $33 a night.

My second Choice would be the President, with my third choice being a hotel that is a small step up from the Hotel La Gran Via but has Air Conditioning, the hotel is Called ¨Hotel del Bulevar¨ it is located just north of Ave. 2 on Calle Central. It is only $30 including tax and breakfast with Air Conditioning.

Happy Mongering,

More to come....

Last Thursday went to Lipstick (old Olympus) at Calle Central and Ave 7 around 2AM. First time there, small stage with some nude dancing. Ladies sitting aroung looking kind of bored. Mostly decent looking ones, nice selection. The entrance is free, but was it was 3000 colones ($7) was the first three beer minimum charge. I was the only gringo in the place. I see a very bubbly Columbian girl, very happy, friendly and cute. Since it was my first time ther I get the "VIP" room dance from her -- I was told by her that is was $8/dance. This a nude lap dance, and you can touch everything.

I get two dances, and am all worked up. They have bedrooms in the back with a kingsize bed, jacuzzi and shower and private bathroom. She says if I want to see them, so we go with the waiter, he says its $200. $100 for the room which I can use for the rest of the night (as many girls as I want) and $100 for the girl plus another $20 fo the previous dances. I see the "gringo tax" is in full effect, even thought I can speak Spanish. I complain slightly that I thought the dances were less, and that the room, although nice, was a bit much. He dropped the room price to $75, but said the girl was still $100. I agreed, and he provides two towels, soap and a condom. We get down to work and I have a great time, her attitude was just the best with DFK, CBJ, DATY, and CFS (one cup only). I spent a lot of time in the room with her, because when I got out within 30 minutes they were trying to close the place up, most patrons and girls were gone. I don't know if it was 4 or 4:30. Then I went right across the street to the bar (don't remember the name) that was still open to get more beer. I thought there were providers here, but upon a closer look, they were transvestitess, beware here.

Last Friday around 4PM I went to the Blue Marlin in the Del Rey to check things out. Lots of people, and more girls than Gringos. They all wanted $100 and plus I'd have to get a room. I pass as I want something a bit cheaper. So I go the the Taberna VIP -- it's near the Barcelo Amon on the Northwest corner of Calle 3 and Ave 11. There is no outside sign. No entrance fee. There is only one patron in the place, a local, and three women. One is fat, the other two are slim, fair and plain. I order a beer, it's 350 colones (just uder $1). The two plain ones come over to talk to me. They talk and flirt and squeeze my crocth. They say its $20 for everything including the room. I ask if I can do them both, they are happy to hear that. I go to get the room with both the girls and the guy says it's $50. I see again the "gringo tax" and ask how it's that price: he says it's normally $30 for the room and girl and he was discounting me the second girl to $20. I said I thought its WAS $20 for the girl and room. He says no, but will settle for $45. I agree, and he gives the girls each a towel and a condom. The girls want a single drink they can share, just a Sprite, but it costs me 1000 colones (around $2.50) -- because it is a "ladies drink."
We all go to the room, which is tiny, looks dirty and kind of disgusting. But anyway the start stripping and taking my clothes off. They inspected my disk first and the put on one of the condoms and one starts the BJ as the other sucked my balls. This was great. Neither one took their tops off, one had a jog bra on and the other had a lace black see thru bra. But the were naked from the waist down. I then screw one doggie style and finish with her.

They both start to dress, but I said I wasn't done yet and change condoms. The first one does leave and the other stays. Do her mish but she is so loose and the fact I just came is causing me problems. So she does some more CBJ, but I finally have to jack off across her belly as she displays her pussy and fingers herself, she can almost fist herself, she's that loose. So now that I am done, the other comes back in and both are begging me to give them some money so they can go get cocaine, and we can all party in the room. I said no to that, and had to be a bit rude to get them to stop asking. I go back to the bar area to get one beer before I leave and see a new girl -- and a really attractive one. Her name was Paola from the Dominican Republic. Very good looking with a nice body. I feel I jumped the gun by taking the first girls I saw. But I am done for now and asker her how much, she says $20. I buy her one drink, for sitting and talking just a bit, it was a 1,200 colon rum and coke. I finish my beer and leave, vowing to go back later on to see her.

Lots of good info on the hotels but as for my post I only listed places I have stayed at. Some of the others like La Gran Via may be good but I can not comment since I never stayed there.

As far as New Fantasy, I doubt it will reopen, at least not the same owners. I heard the owner left the country and the girl working at the desk is in jail. This sounds like the Arte Sauna closure last year. New Fantasy was one of the best places here, even for those of us lucky enough to live here. I was in ZB with some friends from Mia a couple of weeks ago and there are some of the NF girls there, I think it was 18K.

You may want to consier the 747. It is hit or miss on the girls but a few good ones here and there. The guy who owns it is very nice and you will never have problems or gringo taxes. He runs a nightclub close by. Monoco is the name (not sure on the spelling) very cheap but not a bunch of crack heads like VIP's.

Another great nightclub is Le Grillion (Spelling again? French for cricket) ALL the girls are pretty hot and it is not a rip off joint.

There is a ton more to San Jose than the del Rey!

Hey, fool, it looks like you picked your name right. If you let people rip you off, don't complain about it. I seem to recall that the prices in Taberna VIPS #1 was 4000 or 5000 colones at the most (room and girl for 1/2 an hour). All drinks are the same price for guys or girls.

By letting yourself get ripped off you're only giving them the okay to try it on everyone. You should know the price before you go in. I'm in Bali right now, and all the places start at $33. But the real price is $11. I wonder why everyplace keeps asking for $33. I guess there are enough stupid guys that give it to them. Hell, I would ge 3x as much if I could too!

A Fool:

The actual cost is 5500 for 1/2 hour, room included. The best girl there is Adriana. Great looking and great in bed. Drinks are the same cost for both guys and gals but if they smell money they will order the most expensive drink.

At least you did not go for the Del Rey pirañas. I think tha is a step up.

Just got back from trip #5 and I think I am just getting the hang of mongering. I just need to work on my negotiating skills. I might need a good shrink also. I can't get Gloria out of my mind.

My good friend Mark introduced me to her back in July. We had a great session after hanging at BM for a long time. She was hot!!!!

Next morning I went to New Fantasy and had a great time with Michele who gave me the best oral I ever had in my 57 years! So that night (last one-leaving early next morning) I thought I would just hang at BM. I had no leche left. Well, in comes Gloria and joins me and 2 friends I had met in my hotel lobby & shared a ride to DR with.

We were at the rail of the bar next to the tables and she was all over me with kisses and hugs and several guys seemed to be waiting in line for her. I asked if she wanted to go with them and her reply was "me like you." How could I turn her down after that? So after about 2 hours at the BM, we went back to the Irazu. She did every she could and finally after 2 1/2 hours-LECHE! Both nights I gave her $100. She never asked for anything. This was trip #4.

On trip 4 we were bumped for a 2 hour delay and got a free round trip for the bump. You know I wasn't going to wait too long to go back. Sept 1 I went back (Wed to Mon).

Didn't see her Wed. but on Thurs. she saw me as she was leaving. She came from behind me and gave me a kiss on the run and said later. She never came back that night.

Friday night at about 7, I was in Mark's room with 2 other guys from South Florida when Gloria comes in!(she knew where Mark always stays and called him and he wanted to surprise me). What a great night! She would not wait. She would have done it right then with my friends watching so we went to my room and she could not even wait for me to shower. Room service for dinner and breakfast at Denny's (part of the Irazu). She said she would come back Sunday morn. to hang at the pool and spend the day.

Well, she never posted. At 6 I called her and she said she would come at 8:30. At 10-she still never posted so I headed to the BM. I was very disappointed. So what's a guy to do? I picked out the hottest Columbiana with real ones. Jamie wanted 100 for 1 hour and I said 2 hours and she said OK.

I knew it wasn't going to be a GFE but I didn't care. I really enjoyed it but after one burst she gets dressed. I said 2 hours and she said the time started when I talked to her at the DR. The mistake was paying in advance. You would think I would have learned by now.

I took some pics that I said would not be posted but when I went for ice, she used the hotel phone to call Columbia. Does anyone think I should post the pics?

An e-mail to Gloria got a reply that she had to take her son to the hospital. I personally think that she just wanted to be with the family on Sunday and didn't know how to communicate that.

Anyway, now I can't get her out of my mind. Sorry for the long post.

Jaimito Cartero,

Personal attacks accomplish nothing. I was not complaining, I reported events exactly as they were, I was reporting that the prices were inconsistent (as with most menuless services in CR) and pointing them out gets them to come down a bit. I am not going to go into a full haggle mode and get into heavy conflict to save a few $ that will make no difference in my life, when a light push back will do. By reporting actual events other consumers can be aware of just what to expect, and it produced replies of what others experienced. Being ripped off is a matter of personal subjection, it is all negotitation and if you think the service is worth the price quoted or you don't - and won't consume it. I am sure I was not the first that this has happend to, and I bet there's someone who paid even more and was happy about it becuase it was a relative bargain compared to the gulch.

Wow, WilliamWalker you know how to be sarcastic, but don´t knock it til you tried it, and don´t even think about telling me you have because you would be lying. Third,

I have been in Cali four days now, the first day sucked because I got bad service, but now I know Cali is the best place I have been in Latin America. I have a kick ass apartment on the 8th floor of an incredible building including everthing, kinda like a hotel with maid and laundry for $600 a month.
I also am on my second free girlfriend in 4 days with the one I am with now being a very hot girl the Saint was with when he was in Cali. Here is his pic because I have to wait to get back to the States to download all of mine, but I have lots of Girls in San Jose also.

Returned from san jose last weekend. The Holiday Inn charges a $20 chica fee. That isn't good, but a lot better than the dirty rooms at the local no tell motel. The walk to the Del Ray is a shopers bazzar. Taxi drivers offer to take you to thier chicas for $10. You then must deal with the chica. I prefer to see the product first. The Del Ray was packed with girls and gringos. The 18-22yr old girls seemed more available before 5pm. After that the chicas seemed to range from 23-30 even a few 40's. My 1st chica was a 18 or 19yr knockout. BBJ followed by all positions and facial. All that for $40. I love CR. 2nd chica was older 25 but very sexy. Stayed all night for $100. She gave a great massage followed by all my wildest desire. I have her cell and email. She maybe worth a return.

Hey WilliamWalker,

I have only been to Costa Rica one time starting on July 15 and leaving about two months later. As far as San Jose, Costa Rica you can ask Dinoman or Free Sex I actually made a map of San Jose depicting all of the places for sex the prices and the quality, as well as restaurants and hotels and places to find free pussy. I made it the last month I was there and sold a little less than 100 of them at $12 (5000 colones) a map to gringos. It is pretty awesome and I will post a pic of it soon.

I know it seems like I was there too short a time to really get a grasp of everything, but I didn´t speak spanish before I got there and now I do. Some people just learn faster than others.

Cali is number 1 so far in Latin America but I can´t forget the amazing food, prices, and 200 women on the street a night in Managua, Nicaragua.

San Jose is better than Panama City though, although more expensive.

I will keep you all posted...

Well, I can't stand it any longer....I haven't been able to go to C.R. since early June. My work situation is such that I can't take alot of time off, plus there is mainly one girl I see when I go down there, a Tica that works the Del Rey...but she gives me total GFE when I'm down there. I can stay at her place, unlimited freaky sex, etc...

I'm thinking of pulling a quickie trip...maybe get there at noon on Friday, Oct 15th and leave Sunday morning....That will give me just enough time to hang out, fuck her brains out, and leave right as I start to get tired of it ;)

I usually stay at the Morazan....Any suggestions on a hotel that would be good for us to hang out in??

Jun Fan,

After having a similar urge, I went down to SJO this past weekend for 2 days of intense sex. Fortunately, my one stop flight left Miami on Friday just as the Hurricane approached off the coast of Florida, and returned Sunday as it went north. Damn, I lucked out on that one. The weekend get-away to San Jose was great with my local Chicas, but it just doesn't allow enough time to re-calibrate for work on Monday. Perhaps you're younger and can handle it better than I.

Spent free time in the Del Rey Casino and BM bar. Maybe it's just me but I have noticed a lot more desperate guys hanging out in the bar, simply drinking 'til drunk. I actually had one chica tell me that these guys are coming in to look at the girls then returning to their rooms to Wack the Willy. To each his own, but the place certainly lacks the earlier feel of comradery between fellow Mongers. This past weekend was the first time, out of six trips this year, where the number of men exceeded that of Chicas, in the BM. The treasure is being trashed; but then, we knew it wouldn't last forever. Hopefully, this is only a temporary setback.

Its a good thing that you too have local Chicas to bang on arrival. I never thought I would be saying this, but a consistent Chica is far better for the GFE than the prospects you'll find by shopping the BM -- cheaper too! A return engagement with the same Chica is the closest they come to a real boyfriend, witnessed my two Chicas that happen to be friends.

Good luck on your two day foray!

Macgoo,

Well, my plan will put me in SJO at around noon on Friday, Oct 15th....and I will be leaving on the 7:00am plane Sunday the 17th. I will be back in Dallas by 4pm Sunday, which will be OK. That should give me plenty of time for decompression before Monday work. That 7am flight would be tough on alot of guys, but I don't drink, so a hangover will not be an issue.

But the way I see it, here is how I see things playing out:

Friday
1:30--> arrive at Morazan
1:35--> walk over to BM and hang out.
3:00--> have my girl meet me at BM
3:05--> back to Morazan to drain my balls a couple of times
6:00--> go out to eat, and hang out.

Saturday
breakfast at Pres.
maybe go to a mall or something
watch & bet on some college football in one of the sports books
more sex
catch a nice dinner
more sex

Sunday
travel home

I am about to book my flight....Continental has $396 R/T from Dallas to SJO, stopping briefly in Houston.

How does this plan look?

Blind Man's Boff - My First Visit to Costa Rica - Part One

This report was delayed due to difficulty returning to the U.S.A. caused by hurricanes. I am now home, fondly recalling San Jose and the incredible time I spent there. This report will be in a number of parts, each focusing on a particular event or topic.

We arrived in Costa Rica on Sunday, Sept. 12. The airport was uncrowded, and my lady friend and I cleared immigration and customs with no long wait. There was absolutely no line near immigration to purchase the exit tax; we each paid the $26.00 and were moving on in minutes. After checking in at the hotel Don Carlos (great hotel, but it is owned and managed by women and is decidedly _not_ chica-friendly), we strolled downtown past Morazan Park to Av. Central. We had just passed the hotel Presidente when someone tapped on the shoulder of my female companion. She's from L.A. and immediately went into her street-tough stance, but it turns out that the gentleman who was trying to get our attention was none other than Cocqui', from this forum! Cocqui' escorted us to the infamous Blue Marlin, where the three of us enjoyed a drink and checked out the talent. According to my lady friend, the best looking woman in the place was the cocktail waitress; a dozen or so chicas waited for some action. It was only around 5:00 Sunday afternoon, and there were only about eight customers in the place. Cocqui' bade us farewell and my lady and I sauntered into the casino. The atmosphere could best be described as "hostile." My lady friend won 9,000 colones on a "Five Times Pay" slot machine, and we left. A taxista refused to put on the meter and insisted on charging us 1,000 col. for the six-block trip back to our hotel. Weary, hungry and overwhelmed, we paid. More to come.

Macgoo,

I too have seen the gringos that go to the BM to get drunk. I don't know about everybody else, but the main priority when one goes to the BM should be pussy, not booze.

I pulled the trigger, bought my tickets and have my reservation for the Morazan.

I'm going to the Texas/OU game next weekend, then it's off to SJO....October is shaping up quite nicely.

Blind Man's Boff - Part Two

My lady-friend and I spent most of Monday and Tuesday visiting Spanish-language schools in the Central Valley. Two restaurants deserve mention here: "Nuestra Tierra" (Our Land) is a 24-hour restaurant located on Av. 2 at Calle 15, a 350 colones taxi ride from the Gulch. Great "tipico" food. Another is the Jazz Cafe near the University in San pedro. Food was so-so, but on Monday (Sept. 13) we heard one of the best bands I've ever heard live. Both places offer very reasonable prices.

Tuesday afternoon (9/14) I visited Zona Blue. I had two goals: first, to find out where the hell my promised, paid-for CRT membership card had gone, and the second was to take a tour of the facility and meet the legendary Wanda. Wanda greeted me warmly at the door and searched for the missing CRT membership card. I had to give my full name (including spelling) five times (so much for anonymity), and while my name was listed on her computer, Wanda could not find the card. Sigh. She graciously offered me the discount nonetheless, and a cold Imperial. "Would you like to meet the girls?" Yes, I would! There were fifteen ladies working on Tuesday afternoon, and I was graciously given the opportunity to chat with each of them. At Wanda's encouragement, I was permitted to explore/fondle each one a little; only one chica refused. After touching/cheek kissing fourteen of the fifteen chicas, they all wanted me to give Wanda the same treatment. laughing, I grabbed Wanda's extremely fine ass and lifted her into the air, amid squeals and laughter. I chose Brenda, not quite a spinner but very slim, small-breasted and lovely. Our session was strictly average; the ringing of her cellular phone was constant throughout our session and was very distracting. Brenda happily mouth-kissed (no real DFK) and would have permitted DATY; she would not give BBBJ, but I am a bit phobic about herpes/oral gonorrhea etc. and didn't mind a bit. We showered together to finish the session; I tipped her 1K colones (around $2.35) and she was singularly unimpressed. Wanda seemed to be very concerned that I enjoyed myself; I assured her that I did, and did not mention Brenda's persistent cellphone. I decided to return to ZB later in my visit to find out whether or not ************** had delivered the membership card, and perhaps to have another session. ZB was incredibly clean, the girls very nice, and at 17,000 colones with the CRT discount, not a bad deal. They called a taxi for me; while I waited, I discussed the taxi commission scam with Wanda. hard-ball negotiations are underway, but the taxi drivers aren't budging. I rode with Ronni Robles, a taxi driver recommended by ZB (number available upon request). He told me that he knows all the places and most of the managers, and happily escorts gringos to such places. By the way, he ran the taximeter for me; there was no rip-off attempt.

More to come,

Big Jeff:

Prices? They're all over the place depending on the Chica, and where you go to monger while in SJO. When negotiating within the Del Rey, always start the negotiations with your own price, go up from there. If you wait and ask the Chica her price, she will always say: one hundred dollars, but $50 to $60 should seal the deal.

Jun Fan:

Your schedule looks good, but I doubt you'll keep to it, there are just too many distractions; if you know what I mean. Personally I prefer the Del Rey's food but the restaurant has been close and moved across the street with the Key Largo. The owners now recognized this as a bad business decision. Do stop in Key Largo, the atmosphere is intense with many Chicas and live Salsa/Marenge(?) bands. Lots of dancing, but you can chill, shoot pool or watch football there.

As I always suggest; pay your Exit Tax ($26) as soon as you touch down in SJO. This will save time when you're preparing to board the plan. That Sunday morning crowd is pretty heavy, you don't want to stand with them to pay the Tax. You can thank me later!

Blind Lust,

I agree with you about Zona Blue. It's a great deal, very clean, and a lot of fun. I had two sessions with Brenda just after she started working there, and, from your description, it seems like she's changed a bit. I don't remember her even having a cell phone at the time. Next time, instead of 1000 colones, just take her some chocolate. ;-) That worked out pretty well for me.

Hi guys,

I am planning on visiting San Jose in the next couple of months. I was last there 3 yrs ago. Stayed at the Del Rey. My question is, is that place call the ICM(?) still there. That was my favorite place as the girl and the bed was only around ~$30 and the quality was excellent. thanks all,

Here are a couple of the girls from my last visit. Anybody recognize them?

Well Wanda has always impressed me. Both when she was working in NF (Wow, what an experience), and at Zona Blue. I am very forthright when I tell Wanda what I want. She knows her girls very good, and will lead you in the right direction. When I went to Zona Blue right before they were closed down for a bit, I spent a fair amount of time talking and email her to tell her I thought more guys were looking for. She was very receptive and it seemed that her #1 goal was for us to be happy.

Hopefully I'll get to CR in December and check out the latest lineup. The last time I was there, I wanted to haul Wanda away and have my way with her. However, she giggled too much, so I let her escape. :)

Blind Man's Boff - part 4 - Saturday Night with a Tico Guide

Part 3 of this series can be found in the "Quepos" section.

My lady friend and I returned to SJO after spending three memorable nights in Manuel Antonio. BTW, the road to Manuel Antonio is not nearly as bad as others have reported here, although a couple of the old iron bridges south of Jaco can be pretty scary. My friend surprised me with a truly outstanding gift! She knows a Costa Rican family from her previous business life in California; her gift was introducing me to one of the brothers, who offered to take me out on the town Saturday night! What a generous, non-jealous lady I have! We met our tico friend, his lovely Colombian wife and baby boy at Machu Pichu restaurant, north of "Pollo Kentucky" (KFC) and had a splendid meal. My tico pal pointed out Oasis, just across the street, but then quickly added that he had never been there. After dinner, we dropped my lady friend off at our hotel and continued to his home to drop off wife and baby.

Another surprise awaited me at his home. We smoked a bowlful of very tasty herbs! Then it was off to adventure in downtown SJO.

Tico pal asked me where I wanted to go, and I suggested either the park Hotel show or diPelufo's. He grinned and shook his head...no, we have other plans for you, gringo! Off to bar Item we went. it was late (the bar closes at midnight sharp, so if you want to spend an hour with the girl, you need to make your choice before 11:00 p.m.), and my pal encouraged me to make a quick decision. Not easy, as there were seven or eight real hotties in the bar. I chose Jeni, a 23 year-old Nicaraguan with two k*ds. Gorgeous fake boobs, a little tummy, lovely legs and hot, hot, hot.

There was a bit of a misunderstanding about the price; due to my bad Spanish, I thought that the woman who takes the money was trying to up-charge me from the usual 18,000 colones to 21,000. Then I remembered what had been written on this board, and realized that the lady was offering me the more expensive downstairs room. Seems they were afraid that my blindness would make it tough for me to use the stairs? On the way to the room I met the manager, Roberto Quesada. I joked that the nica was nervous about her first time with a blind guy, but both lady and Roberto laughed and joked, assuring me that all was okay.

Regarding the session, I can only report that the lady was very accomodating, unrushed and sexy. Nice head, very nice touching, very responsive without obvious acting. I play safe for everything, even receiving head, so I don't know if Jeni would have given a BBBJ or not. We finished the hour with an unrushed backrub; Jeni has incredibly strong hands, and the feeling of her bare p*ssy on the small of my back as she straddled me to massage me was incredible.

When I returned to the bar, it was deserted. My tico pal was "taking a walk," so Roberto generously bought me a beer and did his best Dale Carnegie while we waited. Great place, great value, totally safe (although the surrounding neighborhood is a bit dodgy).

On the street, we tipped the guy who had watched my pal's car for over an hour. He quietly warned us that the cops were at work up on Av. 2, checking for drunk drivers. My pal laughingly informed our car-guardian that he had only drunk one beer, and we were off toward the Key Largo.

More to come,

Blind Man's Boff - part 5 - More Saturday night explorations with my tico pal.

We did indeed get stopped by the "operativos" on Av. 2, but my pal's good humor, organized papers and excellent Spanish saved us from any unpleasantness. The cops were super-courteous and even friendly. Our next stop was the Key largo.

Apparently shocked by the presence of a blind dude (we only encountered one other blind person during the entire trip, and she was leaving the country), the doorman at the Key Largo never charged us a cover. The band was excellent, playing covers of current Latin hits. The K.L. is immense, and it was loaded with hot chicas wall-to-wall. Some even slyly grabbed my ass or package as we walked through the bar (and no, they weren't going for my wallet, well at least not _that_ way). Tico pal told me that the uglier girls end up in the KL, because it's less illuminated than the BM (which is an amazingly brightly-lit room). Found nothing of real interest, so we moved across the street to the Blue Marlin.

My tico pal seemed to know half the women in the bar by name. I met the infamous Colombian sisters, a lovely tica named Nikki and several others. I also handed out samples of edible, fruit-flavored lube as a joke, but the girls who received the tiny samples thanked me. With the edge taken off by my hour with Jeni at Bar Item, I was in no hurry to score at the BM, but I did discuss price with a couple girls. None seemed willing to budge from the $80.00 - 100.00 range. Tico pal informed me that one can arrange for a two-hour room at the Morazan for around U.S. $20.00; this is good to know if you're staying outside the Gulch but need a short-time room. This may also explain why the Morazan is notoriously bad at holding reservations.

My tico pal explained to me that many of the other clubs and houses listed in this Forum are just too damned dangerous, even for a tico (and he's a pretty tough guy himself). He said that he would only visit some of the nightclubs (Pantera Rosa, VIPs, Molino Rojo, Monaco) in a group of four or more guys. We ended our tour with a final drink downtown, then he took me back to my hotel. All in all, an excellent introduction for a blind guy's first visit to SJO.

Still more to come.

Blind Man's Boff - Part 6 - Final visit to ZB

We were forced to extend our stay in Costa Rica because of bad weather over Pensacola, and returned to the Hotel Don Carlos for the final four nights. Among other Gulch locations, we had a very good dinner at the News Cafe. During our meal, my female companion discreetly pointed out a number of middle-aged gringos accompanied by lovely young women. She observed that the chicas were definitely uncomfortable, constantly sweeping the room with their eyes, watchful of being seen themselves. One particularly hot Dominicana caught my companion s eye, and I wished at that moment to be able to see, to close a deal, to spend ST with a hot, black chica (a first for me). Sigh. After dinner and buying overpriced cigarettes at the bar ($2.00 U.S. for a pack of marlboros), we grabbed a metered cab back to our hotel.

Tourism occupied our next couple days, but I did manage to return to Zona Blue. Again, I was hoping that my CRT membership card had arrived. Again, it had not. I would like to hear from anyone else who has had problems with ************** in this regard. They got $36.00 of my money, for which they promised "V.I.P. access" to their board, and a discount card. Well, I finally met one of the administrators of CRT, who gave me a rather lame excuse as to why my card wasn't there. Keep in mind that CRT (Relaciones Interactivas, Inc. of Florida) had nearly two weeks prior to my trip, plus the 12 days I was in C.R., to deliver the card). Wanda was again friendly and helpful (what a woman! Jaimito Cartero, you are a lucky S.O.B. to have enjoyed her charms)! I gave her a strange request: Who is the smartest girl here? She chose the skinny Marcella for me. All I can say is...holy sh*t! Incredible, passionate hour. I love her flat tummy, perfect titties and gentle, hot ways. This was an hour that I will never forget. YMMV, of course, but Marcella really did it for me. One problem: Wanda needs to figure out background music in her place. When I entered Marcella's room for the session, "Blues Traveler" was on the stereo, not bad. However, mid-session the CD changed to "The Kenny G. Christmas Album." Do you know how hard it is to stay hard while listening to a soprano-sax rendition of "The Little Drummer Boy!?" Pah-rum-pa-pum-pum. Again, a first-rate experience, and at the discounted 17K colones, a good deal, despite the Kenny G.

The blues have set in, my brothers. I have a strong feeling that I will not pass this way again, and Costa Rica will live only in my memory. Thanks for all the valuable information and patience you have shown me.

Cocqui', Shamas, Tanager, J.C., Ace, WillySP...you guys are the best.

Blind Man's Boff - Some Notes

Is "nica" an insult to Nicaraguans living in Costa Rica? The answer is, yes or no, depending upon one's tone of voice and facial expression. Illegal Nicaraguan immigration is blamed for most of C.R.'s crime and social ills by most ticos; the rhetoric I heard from many people sounded very familiar; like Americans bitching about Mexicans. If "nica" is said with a scowl and pronounced as "niggah," it will certainly be taken as an insult.

True to reports on this Forum, taxi drivers are clueless about their own city, even though they have to take a street geography test as part of getting their taxi license. In other words, you'd better damn well know where you're going, because the taxista probably will not. Make them use the meter. Period. Cabbies in the Gringo Gulch area may or may not speak some English; we encountered several who did.

SJO is not an all-night party town, and most bars close at around midnight-1:00 a.m. El Pueblo to the north of the Centro is an exception. Try "Luka's" there for excellent food.

Speak Spanish. Many young ticos, particularly those working in hospitality will speak some English, but most of the chicas do not. Although many of them understand much more English than they speak, it's a good idea to speak at least some Spanish.

Use colones whenever possible, and learn to calculate quickly, or carry a calculator. We found that we paid much less by using colones than dollars.

Marijuana is easy to get, but most vendors will try to sell it at U.S. prices, up to $400.00/ounce. One guy in Quepos tried to sell me 10 grams for $400.00, claiming that 10 grams equals one ounce. Wrong. In any case, avoid drugs at all costs while in C.R. The legal risks are many, and at the very least, you'll pay mega-morditas (big bribes) and do some real jail time if you are caught.

Costa Rica may be the cleanest country I've ever visited, as applied to restaurants, restrooms, cabs and public places. Even the busy News Cafe's men's room was spotless on a Sunday night.

Not all street wh*res are transvestites. We spotted four hotties on a street corner a block from the Colonial Casino, and one of them flashed her p**sy at the cabbie to let him know that she was female. Danger! She was also maybe 15 or so.

Again, we encountered a large number of gringos who were acting like drunken, juvenile assholes. Please behave the way your Mama taught you; be patient, polite and respectful. Remember that many ticos loathe prostitution and many will be offended if you ask them about the p4p scene here. That being said, everyone from cops to waiters in the Gulch are aware that you're probably not in C.R. to see rain forests, and a politely-asked question will be politely answered.

Bring washcloths, if you use them. Even the finest hotels in which we stayed didn't have them. Bring your own condoms; the Durex brand commonly available in C.R. are too narrow for the average gringo "picha." Pretty much anything else you could need or want is available for purchase.

Travel light. Choose what you want to bring, then pack half of it. laundry service is widely available and not expensive, booze is available at somewhat lower prices than in the U.S., etc.

Purchase your exit tax (currently U.S.$26.00) either at the airport near Immigration or downtown at a number of banks. Don't wait until you're ready to leave to buy your exit tax. We could have bought ours at the airport the morning we left; there was no real waiting line, but we were told that long lines at the airport are the rule, rather than the exception. Better to buy it upon your arrival.

The most important tip I can offer the first-time visitor to C.R. is "relax". The pace of life is slower here; a dinner in a fine restaurant can take up to three hours, so just go with the flow and savor the time spent. Even a cup of coffee at 4:00 p.m. is a treasured social custom and "time out," so don't rush it. You'll find as I did, that most of the chicas pace themselves accordingly, so don't be a clock-watcher, just make love. I was never hassled for taking too much time with a girl during any of my three p4p experiences in C.R.

Have fun, and "pura vida!"

Colombia is pretty damn good. Colombia is the Motherland. I went down there and married a young hottie from Barranquilla....I think I have been to Colombia 8 times or so. I think I know a thing or two about Colombia.

For me at this point, Costa Rica is fun because it is a low stress, easy in-and-out place. Part of that is due to the ease of getting there from DFW. While I never had any problems in Colombia, Costa Rica is just a better place to hang out in terms of overall safety.

Hey fellow DFW mongers,

I am heading to the greatness that is Costa Rica, 10/3 to 10/12. Will be at the Presidente, no girl fee and free breakfast. 2nd trip this year, 3rd overall. Is the NF closed? I've been check out the chat and noticed a few that mentioned it being closed. Also liked the Zona Blue and the other spot, pink building with jacuzzi's, same street. Love the DR, always in negotiations, noticed that the Colon is $447 per 1, last time it was $390 or so. Will be dealing mostly in Colons this trip.

Hi all you sluts in fuckland.
I am home in the USA after 4 months in Costa Rica. I will be back about DEC. 15. I have been to Colombia 7-8 times I had a girlfriend there so I did not monger that much. But I can say that you can get girls in Costa Rica for little or no money and you can travel anywhere in the country and be as safe as in the USA. Costa Rica is a Mecca for woman they come from Columbia, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and other Latin countries. They go to CR. because it is safe and there are more Americans than anywhere in Latin America. They are lured by the promise of big $$$ from us the Mongers of the world. What spoils it for some of us is that men will give the sluts to much money. Yes, they will ask for $100. but offer them 5000c or $12 you can get laid all over San Jose for that. And they Know this even if they say different. The chances are you will not take them to your room for $12 but it is possible I have. If you start at that price you will find they will be clad to go with you for $20-$40 for 1 or 2 hours. Any more than that and you are overpaying. I have spent some time with some of the members in CR. and I am sure that they can tell you the same. The way that the Latinos think if you spend big $$$ for sex you either stupid or hard up either way they will take advantage of you. You will find that the best sex in Latin America is the cheapest sex. I am not saying to take an ugly girl I am saying take the hottest and pay her no more than $25 she will give it up. I know that when your In San Jose for a week and these beautiful woman want to fuck you for $100 it seems like a bargain but you are doing yourself an injustice. Try it you will find that you will save $$$ and the sex will be better. Make sure you let them know that you know that sex is cheep in San Jose.

Hi Dinoman,

just had to respond to your posting here. Agree with you 100%.
I myself also overpaid hookers when I started to monger. Even up as a few years ago I was dumb enough to pay 50 Deutsch Mark/hour to a hooker in Poland (back in 1995..!) when the average income of a trained worker was 100 DM a MONTH!!!!!!Sure she was damn pretty....but did she perform good?? Dont think so...
So indeed you're right....when I read what some guys pay...OOO Boy. Especialy Argentina,Brasil,Russia and also in Venezuela men overpay women greatly. This also would be the case in CR in some places (Del rey Hotel???).
Sure you can think I pay 100 bucks an hour and I will have prime pussy....Forget it. The women will think you are a sucker and will treat you accordingly. This has nothing to do with being cheap. Like I said before....it would be the same as if I paid in Holland a hooker € 500,- an hour!!! Crazy...nobody does that here. I understand why in USA the prices are so high. That is because of the legal system. Prostitution is not allowed (unless you live in Las vegas...) and the whole SEX thing is WAY overestimated esp. by US women. They realy make a BIG deal out of it. Latinas don't....!!

If you look anyway decent (that is as in clean, shaven, nice clothes,NOT drunk and above all friendly) and try to speak spanish (or Portugese when you are in Brasil) women will like you even more. Sure in every country you will find clockwatchers, thieves or hookers that will give a LOUSY service....

Also I found out that high priced hookers are NOT usualy mean better sex. NO SIR.....I found the best sex sometimes with SW...and the likes...5 bucks for an hour (I paid that in Brasil)..and they were HOT.....as a firecracker.

Sure if you like a very classy, snobby ho with an attitude...just stay in the US (or in some other European countries)...and pay 250 bucks an hour. I will save my pennies for the latinas!!!!

OO btw I do NOT understand you guys that are banging (and paying big time $$$) for RUSSIAN hookers in Costa Rica???????????? That doesn't make sense to me. It is the same as you go to a Chinese restaurant and you try to order a pizza....LOL.

I make a decent living and do not complain about my assets, but I think it is a damn waiste of $$$$ to pay nearly a MONTHS wages for a hooker that I could fuck for 1-2 hours in such a country. Also I think that would RUIN the market for all other mongers that come after me.

OOOOO yes...please do flame me.(I have new flamproof underwear!)

Eat breakfast each morning at News Cafe at Presidente hotel, but stay elsewhere. Have a favorite hotel, that is quiet and very nice, but may be too pricey for some. But always eat breakfast between 8:30 and 9:00 each morning and usually try to sit by street so can watch the people walk by.

Hope to see some bretheren while there.

I found that $55 was the lowest I could push it it for 1-2 hrs take-out at the DR; and I speak Spanish pretty well and get complements on my appearance. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough??

So Johan and Dinoman, are you really paying only $20-$40 at the DR? If yes, what are your negotiating secrets? If not, then where would you go to find DR quality girls for that amount (or less)?

I went to CR a couple of months ago to celebrate my thirtieth birthday. I went well informed after having read through the posts at this site, so thanks to all of you who contribute.

I've spent several years overseas, but this was my first international vacation and my first time in central or south america. I speak enough spanish to get by, which while not necessary, will certainly help you get along and especially with some of the younger and lesser educated girls who tend to work in places like Zona Blue (see below).

The ride from the airpport should cost you no more than $15, they'll try to get $50, but don't be a sucker. You'll be intimidated at first, as the taxi situation is pandemonium and nothing like what you'd expect at some place like Dulles or Frankfurt; you're on your own to find a ride.

Upon arriving at my hotel my first night, I was solely in the mood to relax at a local bar. I checked in at the Grano De Oro, which is a beautiful hotel though I had some problems (see below) and asked the bellman where I migt find a nice relaxed joint to get a scotch or two. Obviously he misunderstood me, because I wound up at a strip club somewhere on the east end of town. It is only a few blocks from the Hotel. I went in anyway determined not to allow my dick to do the thinking.... yeah right! I sat down and started with a beer, but before you know it I am batting away fine looking nicas. My resolve didn't last however as there was one in particular that I couldn't keep my eyes off of, and sensing this she came over. I couldn't say no.

So, of course, I have to start buying her $20 juicies. Normally I wouldn't do this, but I took this trip with the mindset that I was going to cut loose and celebrate; Turning 30 has had me a little depressed. After talking with her for who knows how long, and she was a beautiful solid 9 with long legs and a hard body, she calls over her 19 year old prodigy who made my dick stand at attention immediately. Golden colored hair, very innocent looking, and just super hot. So now I am buying them both Kool-aids, and I must have dropped $300-$400 in just the couple of hours I was there. I had a great time though, they took me up on stage and let me lick and rub them as they made out with the dancer, etc. At the end of the night I got very aggressive with the bartender, and after some negotiations (I was a bit drunk at this point which always brings out my superman) I managed to argue a salida for both of only $125. It was the end of the night and I used the 'take it or leave it; argument. Normally I would think that $125 was still too much, as I hadn't even bargained with the girls, but again I wanted both girls and they were both too hot to turn down.

So I took them both back to the hotel but of course, at this point I had a problem. The Grano de Oro is a bit pretentious, and absolutely would not let me in with them. No problem though, the girls knew a place so I checked out and went off to someplace called something like "Hotel Teatro Real" or something, kinda outside the city on the highway. It was real late, and the hotel check-in guy was real cool, but was adament that I keep things quiet. I think he was worried that I was gonna make a lotta noise. Whatever... my platimum card eased his concerns. We went up to the room, I locked my valuables away, chilled, and got to business. I passed out though, and woke up with a girl on each arm. I got lucky; they could have ripped me off and bolted. Especially since I paid the older one before we even started. I am one of those functional drunks, I can walk and talk straight even when I am bombed, so I realize now that I must have been just silly drunk. So waking up, I started to get it on with the young one, who was just too hot to pass up. We started making out, and she obviously is new to the business because she was enjoying it as much as I was. The older one at some point woke up and left, which I was OK with me, as at this point I just wanted to ravage the younger one. It was very passionate, and really great. She gave me a nice bbbj and I did a little daty. Again, not something I would normally do, but she was so seemingly young and pure, and I was still shitfaced, so it seemed like a great idea at the time. She wanted me to give it to her without a condom, but I was adament. But because of how drunk I was I was having a hard time reaching completion, so I ended up pulling off the condom. Stupid, I know. In the end it was spectacular, but in the end I learned something important:

1) Don't mix drunkenness with P4P; you only set yourself up for a rip-off, and potentially making choices that will get you infected or a paternity issue.
2) Don't go hog wild the first night; survey the scene and act cool.
3) If your a western foreigner, you're a mark. All prices can be negotiated heavily. I was a perfect example of how a stupid, drunk American can be fleeced.

All in all I had a great time that night, and don't rue all the money that I spent, but I could have done it smarter.

So I spent the next day recuperating in the hotel. I didn't leave the room once; I just surveyed the damage the girls did to the minibar. It was razed like Moscow during Napoleon's invasion.

I checked out and went to the Presidente, which will *always* be my first choice from here on out. Decent rooms and rates, great staff, good restaurant, and great location. Only problem is they limit you to one girl at a time, but after my first night I went into discretion mode and didn't take any girls into the hotel as I was also angling girls who worked in the hotel. They all thought I was a nice American boy as they never saw me with a pro. Instead I spent my time at the Zona Blue, which is a five minute walk from the Presidente.

Zona Blue is a hotel that only rents rooms on a monthly basis and only to the girls. The girls pay them a monthly rent and a second tenant 'penalty' whenever they have a customer. It is in this technicality that they avoid the pimping laws. It has a nice sauna and steam room, and while a little run down it is undergoing renovations that should do a lot for it. Plus it has free internet and internet phone to the U.S. What I liked best was how comfortable I was in the place; Wanda and her hubby are very hospitable and I was pleasantly welcomed. I was brought into the back room where the girls were watching the Olympics, all of them were 5-8's, I picked a 7 with nice top ballast and went off for a tour. We then went to her room where I was told $55/hour, which is more than I had read. "Rates go up honey, they are set by the house". Whatever, I can afford it. The hour was great, not hurried, wonderfull massage, great BBBJ, and spectacular sex. I just laid back and had a great time as she did all the work. While I later saw some stunners in the back room durinig return visits, I only went back to see this girl exclusively several times; she speaks no english so fortunately I was able to get by with my spanish. Typical story, twin boys at home with her mom who doesn't know what she does for a living. I tipped her $20 here and there as 'uno regalo para sus hijos' and this really helped with her motivation. A lot of people wonder why I would go to a place such as Zona Blue and always pick the same girl, but I find that the service always gets better when you take the time to establish a relationship with the girl. The first time was great, but the bbbj's just only got better once she got comfortable with me. Oh my did they get better! I went to the Zona Blue four times, spent maybe $300 total, and had one of the most relaxed, non-rushed, and well-serviced P4P epxeriences ever.

After the 'massage' she took me into the steamer, where she rubbed me down and rubbed me off (wonderful!). Don't worry guys, they keep the place clean and she used her towel to avoid any mess. It was nice to see her running around naked as she had used her only towel to accomodate me. Ahh... it was great!

One other thing; the area lost power/water due to some construction problem in the sauna; I had gotten laid but still not the steam I wanted. Wanda took care of that by comping me a session the next day. All I had to do was ask.

I never went to Del Rey, and only stopped by the Key Largo. Key Largo is *full* of chicks anywhere from 4-9, and if you're looking for P4P to take to your room you could spend your entire vacation banging girl after girl and still have girls left over. Not my scene at the time, as I had what I needed at ZB, but next vacation I may try it.

Funny story; I met a couple of American latinas from Los Angeles that were coming back from Nicaragua with the Peace Corps or something. They had booked themselves overnight in the Del Rey with absolutlely no idea it was a brothel. Being ethnically mexican they were always being stopped by security and propositioned by the customers. What a great laugh we had over that one.

The Monkey Bar across the street from Del Rey has opportunities. The bartenders seem to be former workers at the D.R. who are open to side deals and I went out one night with one of them to the 'Pueblo' which is a killer night club complex that the locals go to. There is booty to be had there, including P4P, and the prices seemed to be lower. I ended up getting hammered again though and cock-blocking myself... lol. Make some local friends and head there and try your luck.

Bottom line:

1. Dont get drunk when cruising for P4P
2. Stay out of strip clubs unless you want to pay 500% more for a slightly hotter girl and can afford to spend $500 or more.
3. ZB is a safe bet with predictable prices; you can sample all the girls or revisit one for a GFE.
4. New Fantsay appears to be gone for good.
5. Knowing some spanish is not necessary but highly recommended. I have a non-pro novia I met there in one of the restaurants I plan on seeing in December (though I still plan on going back to ZB).

Happy hunting, -J

Recently in San Jose. Report as follows.

Bar Idem: showed up at 3:30pm and was too early. Only two girls and they were meeting with the manager. Was advised to come back around 4:30-5:00pm to see full selection of girls. Went across the street to the other spot but was really unimpressed with the quality there...YIKES! Didn't make it back to BE until 11pm as they were winding down the evening. Setteled on a sweet Nica for 18,000. Overall, impressed with girls and overall cleaniless and comfort there.

Zona Blue: Arrived as they were adding a patio on to the front of the place. Spoke with a manager flown in from NYC to supervise. Nice guy, apparently they have big plans for the place. Ended up with Brenda for 24,000. Good enough time though I really much prefer having a girl back at my hotel. We did have a really pleasant time in the steam room after. Nice place. The extra 6,000 at ZB seems more related to the amenities than the quality of the girls. BTW, the taxista had no idea where this place was.

Got talked into going to some high end strip club spot called Platinum I think. $15 entry fee that includes three drinks at least. Girls wanted $20.00 for a drink. JaJa! Para nada. Hardly anyone in there client wise, but lots of extremely hot Colombianas and some Ticas. After hearing the prices I lowered my profile, had my three rums, chatted with a few girls but was up front about not appreciating the pricing structure. I did get one cell number from a hot Domicana but a gorgeous Tica seem to get peturbed when I asked for her number. I don't know how they stay in business.

Did not even go to Del Rey or BM. Maybe next time.

Sigue,

it all depends on WHAT you think is "quality"....
Do you mean the SEX...or the looks of the chica??

Sure I like em BOTH ways....but that is seldomly the case.
The cases in whic I Had AND a very pretty girl AND a=very great sex...are limited.

Personaly I'd like to have a 7 that fucks my brains out...then a 9 which looks (and acts) like a wet towel beneath me.

So here's a few things to remember:
1) Speak spanish
2) Do NOT look desperate in any case. Act as if you got mORE fish in your net....which in fact you have!!
3) If you don't like her price don't start haggling much arround....just ignore her. If she is NOT intrested in your $$$ at first, she come back later with a lower price if she find no other John who will pay her price:-)
4) AVOID massive tourist areas....you will be bound to get RIPPED off by any HO!! Certainly in expensive disco clubs/Hotel bars or shit like that (fe Help in Rio,Del rey in SJ...etc...etc)
5) last but not least....you have to look decent....and (ooo maybe people will flame me for this) make sure if you are 50 yo and have a beergut do NOT hit on very goodlooking ho's that are 20...!! That's asking for a HIGH price. HO's are NOT stupid.
6) Avoid Ho's that are ordered by hotel staff.....;-) They will cut in with the costs. So YOU gotta pay MORE $$$$.
7) In general the capital (in whole SA) is MORE expensive then other cities.
8) BE nice to the girl...........! If you don't feel good about a girl...then she also probably will NOT perform acordingly. If she is nice to you too....quimica!
If she gets frisky or smart with you from the start...JUST FORGET HER!! She is PLAYING with you! Move on to the next one......

When you just stay on the beaten track my friend...you are sure to overpay. Get off that track....and melt into the latino flow....and I guess also 30 bucks will do it??

AsK ******* (and I consider him as a very specialist on DR hooks)...he many times got laid just for 2-3 sodapops including a small dinner!!!!!

Hope this helps.

Blind Man's Boff - A Couple more notes:

Our room at the Hotel Don Carlos (#10) faces Av. 9, almost directly across the street from New Fantasy. We spent quite a bit of time smoking, chatting and incidentally surveying the place from our room's little balcony. I don't believe NF is yet open; we saw a tall tico establishing himself in the little guard shack inside the gate. A couple guys (gringos?) stopped by to talk with him, and one gringo in a tank top and shorts actually went inside. A sign warns "Peligro! Perro bravo" (Danger! Guard Dog") and it's true. A slightly overweight, brown and tan dog with a fierce bark patrols the place. The building is also inhabited by a uniformed maid during the day, and a guy appears to be living there at night. Otherwise, we saw no business going on during our last four days in SJO (Sept. 20-24).

About CRT: Admin 1 from ************** send me a very apologetic e-mail, and extended my annual membership by an additional six months. I still haven't received the discount card, but he assured me that it's in the mail. Furthermore, he fixed my access problems. I met the guy at ZB (see earlier report), and he's a nice man, apparently from the Eastern U.S. To the fellow who earlier wrote that he had a great session with Brenda, more power to you. As I said, my session with her was, for a variety of reasons including her ringing cellular, only so-so. I am convinced however that ZB is a must-do for C.R. mongers.

Everything written in this forum regarding the condition of the sidewalks and streets, and about the traffic in SJO is absolutely right on. This city is neither blind-friendly nor drunk-friendly. Watch your step! There are some serious hazards, even in the Gulch.

Colonial Casino: Very nice, upscale, clean, good service. Super nice bar with a piano player the night we visited. Smaller than expected, with only about 40 slot machines (my game; blind guys are usually unwelcome at the tables). I've been told about a new casino, run by a British ex-pat, attached to the Hotel Amon Plaza; has anybody heard about this?

Non-mongering tourism: If you can, take the tour to the Waterfall Garden on Rio La Paz. $15.00 admission for foreigners, and well worth it. Butterfly garden, hummingbird garden, and a relatively easy hike down man-made stairs to view the seven waterfalls located in this park, only 2 km. square. The usual tour price from the hotels, including admission and transportation, is around $50.00. Avoid the overpriced gift shop, but the $10.00 buffet looked/smelled wonderful.
The chinese restaurant Tinjo (pronounced Teen Ho) is just across the street and down the block (calle 11) from Bar Item. This may be the best Asian food I've ever eaten. A great value.

Another great restaurant worth mentioning: Cafe Mundo is a wonderful little Italian restaurant not far from the Gulch (500 colones cab fare or so). Great ambience, good prices. We encountered a few gringos who were obviously there with paid dates. We also encountered a tall gringo with a voice like John Tesh; my companion later spotted him outside NF, talking with the guard. Wonder what's his gig?

Beggars: Aside from a few beggars outside the News Cafe, I was never hassled by beggars. I'm a friendly guy in general, and I appear to be approachable. I never fail to acknowledge a greeting on the street (bad policy, I've been told), but I never had any problems.
Pickpockets: We went to the Central market on Av. Central on a Tuesday morning. A young guy, tico, maybe 17 walked briskly past us on the sidewalk. I felt his fingers dip expertly into my right hip pocket, and he was gone. That quickly. Of course he came up empty; I'm not dumb enough to carry my wallet in a back pocket. The point is this: He was very quick, very slick, and very unintrusive. If I hadn't been watching for such things, I could have easily been picked clean in about 500 milliseconds. Be careful.

BTW Cocqui'; I won the bet, as you predicted. Grin. She paid in cash.

Hi,

This is just a suggestion, so please don't take it the wrong way.

I appreciate the details in your report, but I know from experience that a lot of people find it easier to read a report if the paragraphs are separated by a single blank line.

I know how this happens: You're banging away at the keyboard, putting your thoughts into the report as fast as you can write them. However, if you could hit the return key TWICE at the end of each paragraph, your report would be much easier to read, which would certainly be appreciated by your fellow Forum Members.

Thanks,

One thing I forgot to mention: Someone wrote here in a previous article to watch for cabbies who will charge as much as U.S.$50.00 to go from the airport to downtown. I doubt this is true; the price of U.S.$12.00 is set by law. Ask the price (orange airport cabs only) before getting into the cab. If the cabbie tries to charge you more than $12.00, record the cab number and notify the cops. Also, someone else wrote that one _must_ pay the cab fare from downtown to the airport in U.S. dollars. This is also patently untrue. Our taxista charged us 5,000 colones (about $11.25 at the time) for the trip to the airport. Beware hotels that will arrange a cab for you; they often add a surcharge, causing the fare to go up by as much as $3.00, for a total of $15.00. This is legal, because the hotel has the right to charge for extra services, like arranging the cab for you. Also, don't forget that a two-block walk from the terminal will get you either to the public bus stop (around U.S. 50 cents) or the public (red) taxi stop; either one can be a more cost-effective means of transport, depending upon the traffic at the time. Also, it is not customary to tip cab drivers, although we often rounded up the fare to the nearest 100 colones (i.e. paying 500 colones for a 440 colones fare). Carry coins; the cab drivers seem to never have change. I purposely kept a 500 col. coin and a few 100's and 50's just for taxi fares, and it helped.

Dear Fellow Mongers,

There is no pussy like free pussy, but we all gotta pay sometime if we want to have it everyday of the week!

On more than 10 occasions I took beautiful girls out of the Del Rey or Key Largo for the entire night for anywhere from $50-$70. And I was quoted numerous times $20-$40 for short time but I am a romantic and I like to have the girl the entire night. On two occassions the girls didn´t want the money and on two other occasions I took girls out of the Del Rey for free. I bought girls drinks there only two or three times ever and one of those girls went home with me for free.

I made a map and Guide of San Jose and I sell it for $12, it includes my Art of Negotiation>:

There are really only three ways you can negotiate price.

1.) Likeability, if the person likes you or finds you attractive, you can make people like you or find you attractive by comunication even if you are 50 with a beer belly. Example: I am a nice sweet guy who will treat you better than other guys here....I didn´t say you have to be honest :-)

2.) Competition, if the person thinks you know you can get the relatively the same product for less somewhere else they will try to get closer to that price to get your business. Example: Well I can go to Farol Rojo for $20 for an hour including a jacuzzi suite, or even that girl over there came home with me for only $70 for the night, BUT REALLY ALWAYS DEAL IN COLONES because alot of these girls are from other countries and don´t understand the exchange rates, offer them $30,000 colones for the night and many of them will say ¨How much is that?¨then you say close to a one hundred dollars and they will say ok. Really it is like $66.

3.)Not Possible, if the person thinks what they are asking for is not possible they often will try to bend to make it possible. Example: I really like you but I only have 30,000 colones and I really want a girl to spend the night with me.

Hope this helps,

Come on......please.....give us a break here!

There are free maps of San Jose and all of it's sites (including mps brothels, strip clubs etc.). PM me and I will send you the link.

It is better to negotiate in colones, but working girls are well aware that 30,000 colones isn't $100.

BL - Glad you had fun. Sounds like you hit most of the hotspots. While Molino Rojo is in a sort of bad area, I've gone there 20 times, about 40% of the time, by myself. I often drive, and park across the street and don't have any problems.

Of course, I make sure I tip the guy watching the cars, and even the dancers and waiters sometimes. They bar help is usually freaked out because they never get tipped.

I was bummed when I learned that Wanda had been freelancing before Zona Blue opened, but after she left NF. (Reported here, anyway).

The first time I saw her (Don Gordo recommended her to me), I was so blown away I took a Tico friend with me the next day and bought him a session with her. Now that I look back on it, I sure wish I had used it myself (even though she had totally drained me!).

I've been many of the places you went. Idem has some really good ladies there. You're lucky Robert bought you a beer. They have the most expensive drinks I've seen in San Jose. He is a good guy though.

To Rebel Monger/M.M.,

This is a bit off-topic, but I'd like to clarify something. Prostitution is illegal in the state of Nevada only in areas with 150,000+ population. Thus, prostitution is limited to rural areas and along Interstate 80 in the north; prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City. I have mongered only once in Nevada and found it to be a very poor value for the money, even when compared to pricey Amsterdam, and especially when compared to Latin America. Also, the house I visited in Elko, NV was not very clean; the men's room hadn't seen a scrub brush in twenty years and smelled like a [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) reservoir.

Hope this helps.

Went to New Fantasy yesterday to check it out. I did not do any of the girls, just wanted to see. It is about the same. Same price even the same guy working the door. The girls were also about the same nothing special, saw about 7 but would only have gone with two. Outside of Michelle (super great BJ girl) I mostly go for the massage and release, not for a beauty queen.

Another good note is nightclub Flamango by central park. I went last night and was very suprised. It was the best line up I have seen in 2-3 years. There were a few spinners (which I like) and a few others that were very nice. The prices are very good, 15,000 for a room and sex and was quoted 12,000 to leave with a girl. My friend visiting took a nice one (colombian I think big titties nice body no fat) for 30,000 all night. I have to put this high on the list to see here.

I have not been to the Casablanca yet but plan to check it out.

Guys,

Don't waste your time trying to con the girls with the exchange rate.

I always negotiated in dollars, but would pay in colones.

When I was using my calculator to figure the rate, the girl used her head. Everytime, they were exactly right! No matter what country they were from.

It's their job. They know.

Have fun,

BL:

I am happy to hear you won the bet.... About the casino at the Amon Plaza, it is a classy small place with approx. 10 card tables and maybe 30 to 40 slot machines. They have a rummy table that you play two hands at once and it allows to switch the two last cards dealt to you. The drawback for the game is that if the house gets 22 it is a push on all bets. The dealers and attendants are very nice. If you like gambling it is a nice place to visit.

For you mongers the Amon Plaza is located one block east from Vips 1. Something else, the hotel has a great patio restaurant with a buffet with great food and also inexpensive. You are also steps away from Zona Blue.

Blind Lust,
You are correct. I have lived in Nevada for over 25 yrs and the situation here is less than good. I'm somewhere else as *****billy goat. I have been to Mex and TJ, and will be going to Costa Rica in Dec. Reno and Vegas are both NOT mongering towns if you are looking for bargains or a bevy of 8-10's unless you want to pay through the nose. I strictly go after SW's because I refuse to pay 250+ for any piece. It's riskier and LE is often hot and heavy, stings are whenever the local politicos need to impress, elections are near, or when they have nothing better to do, all in the holy name of keeping us safe. There are a lot of rip off places here in Vegas but even being careful and thinking with the big head, its still not a mongering town and never will be until attitudes change and that isn't likely anytime soon..

Had the opportunity to go to SJO for work for only a day. I had the good fortune of contacting Member#2626 who is a real stand-up guy. He showed me around. We went to the famous Blue Marlin. I saw all ranges and colors. As most people know, it is also quite expensive. The girls there expect to charge the "gringo tax." I passed and went to a strip joint called Le Grillon. There we found some beauties and had a few beers. We spent about $16 for a couple of rounds, it was three of us. Afterwards, we went to the Pink Flamingo. Again a strip joint with full range of girls from butt ugly to hot bodies. Member #2626 and I had girls on our laps where we enjoyed heavy petting and fondling. We both paid the girls bar fine ($22) and took them out. Had we not done this, the whole thing would have cost around $27 in house.

The following day on my way out to the airport, I visited the Farol Rojo, just a few blocks down from the New Fantasy Massage.

The place is clean with a bed, porn channel and jacuzzi. The whole thing was 12,000 colones or about $26.

The best part of the trip was mongering with the distinguished Member #2626, a true gentleman who went out of his way to make sure I was not ripped off.

It reminds me of the HBO special on the Moonlite Bunny Ranch they ran a few months back. This one schmuck paid $10-$15,000 to be with two girls for 5 or 6 hours. I mean, they looked okay, but you'd pay no more than a few hundred for the same think in CR or BA, and probably less than that.

I had a good three way my first time in Buenos Aires. Cost me dinner, plus $130 for both. I'd much rather save my "sex" money for a few months and go somewhere for a week or two and get as much as I want, and still have more money left than I would have otherwise.

For instance, I've just come back from Indonesia. Total spent (airfare, hotels, girls, food) is about $3000. And this was for a whole month, and included almost a week in Hong Kong and Tokyo which are not cheap destinations.

Relax; your photo display is awesome, but you should not feel the need to prove anything. This should be a forum for brethren dedicated to the hobby, nothing more - or less! While your comment "...from all around the world" is a stretch, in all my visits to SJO I have yet to see a Chica pictured here that I recognize. So I do agree there is an awful lot of turnover, especially within the Del Rey.

Sounds like the best high-end hotels are the Presidente and the Don Carlos, each for about $65-75 per night. How do they compare?

Chuponalgas,

The Presidente is more popular among most mongers, and I agree. The renovated rooms are quite nice, there is no chica fee, there are helpful English-speaking staff, and breakfast is included. If you ask for the "TSM rate" when you make your reservation, it will be $48 plus tax per night.

Chupanalgas,

I have only stayed at the Don Carlos, but after checking things out at the pres. and reading others' posts about it, I can conclude a couple things. First, the Don Carlos is not as chica-friendly as the Pres. For instance, you'd need to book a double, then tell the desk clerk that you're waiting for your novia, then bring her into the hotel under cover of darkness; the current manager is a woman, and I was told by the security guard that hookers are not on her list of welcome guests. More sneaking around at the Don Carlos. However, if your main focus will be MP's, remember that NF is right across the street from the north side of the hotel, ZB is less than three blocks away, and Farol Rojo is just a block beyond that. Also, VIPs #1 is very close. The neighborhood is quieter than the Gulch, there are a number of truly outstanding restaurants nearby, and it's a great location. Low-season double rate is around $65. 00/night + taxes. Beware: They offer a free daily phone call to the U. S. , but it never worked while I stayed there (a total of 7 nights). Also, they demand a $40. 00 key deposit for the in-room safe; the safe is really heavy duty and looks like it would survive a nuclear blast. Also, the cable TV was only h alf-functional the whole time I was there. The breakfast is good, and they have free Internet too, but only one PC near the lobby. Great English-speaking desk staff, a nice little cafe/bar with decent food at very reasonable prices, etc. Get Room #10 if you're going for the $65. 00 deluxe room; it's huge, and has a balcony directly across from the gate into NF! Pura Vulva!

Can someone kindly give me a comparison between the Morazan and the Hotel La Gran Via? Now looking for an alternative to the overrated Presidente, but frankly have not stayed anywhere else, except the Del Rey.

Dinoman: Perhaps you can elaborate on the semi-pros, what's the draw; Casino, Bar or simply the Gringos ...er... money?

Scott69
10-11-04, 09:23
I do not think the Presidente is overrated but simply the best place here. Good location and good service. I do not work there but I will always recommend it. The morazan is nice but has a tendency to give away your reserved room, so what good is it when you get here and do not have a place to stay? I am sure some may say it is great and never had a problem but many others have had a problem including me. After all this board is about exchanging experiences both good and bad.

La Grand Via I have heard is OK but can not comment since I never stayed there. I think most will agree that Del Rey is nice to visit but you do not want to stay there.

Chuponalgas,

You do not pay the high price at Presidente since you just need to ask for the corporate rate of $45 a night, no questions asked. I never stayed at the on Carlos but I can say you can not walk back and forth at night like the Presidente since that is dangerous at night.

Pajama Sam thanks for the kind works, enjoyed showing you around and your company. You guys do me a favor giving me something to do. Being retired is tough, nothing to do but play with the girls everyday, lol.

I personally like the Morazan. I will be there this Friday & Saturday night. The lady at the front desk knows me, and she gives me a pretty good rate on a junior suite @ $65. I like extra space in the room. The couch cums in quite handy from time to time. I have had good experience with the cleaning staff. It's the same lady, and she's very sweet and trustworthy (note, tip her a little and it will go a long, long way). The rooms are generally pretty clean. I would recommend that you try to get them to give you as many towels as possible, as is the case for all the San Jose hotels. What I really like is that it's only about 50 yards down the street from the Del Rey.

Do not know about the Don Carlos. Make sure it is chica friendly.

Another alternative is the Hotel Europa on Calle Central.

Hello as far as semi pros, the Hotel La Gran Via has a reputation for Americans that spend more than a week in San Jose
. For some time many of the locals go there hoping to hook up with one of us. Many work at nothing jobs that pay about $50 a week. So they will go there or hang out buy the National Theater that is 20 yards away. They do not conceder themselves hookers because they want to hook up the one guy and stay with him while he is there and will not hook up with other guys. Of course once that guy leaves she will likely hook up with someone else. They sometimes become full time hookers and end up at the Ray or the Park depending. Some do hook up with an American and as long as he does not bring her to the USA it can work. Many more Guys there will have one or two of these study girls and play the field anyway.
Anyway if you pay them they will be Glad whatever they receive. Most are young 18-22 and some hot. They are not hard yet and the sex is real good. If you do not stay at the Gran Via take a walk there and just hang out front of the Hotel or stop inside and talk to some of the mongers. I know a mongers who would just hang outside of the hotel and pick up chicks. The hotel staff also have phone # to girls that have day jobs and work part time as hookers again they do not get big $$$ 5000-15000C $12-$40 I can say that many of them are Hot. The La Gran Via is more for the seasoned monger. I hope that helps you.

CR Oct 2004

Day 1 : Saturday 10/2

Thania a new find at the DR she was a hot little 21 year old Nica who was great in bed. She naturally started at cien but agreed on $80. She wouldn’t allow any pictures without clothes which was a disappointing as she had a great body. I was surprised when she suggested removing the condom and then tried to look sad when I said no. I have to admit it was tempting but the risks far out weight the pleasure.

She loved the magic cd and was singing and dancing to the tunes. After awhile she was looking at the laptop and saw the time and then started saying she had to leave.

She left her number, and I walked her to a taxi and expected to be hit up for taxi fare but she just kissed me goodbye and then blew another as she drove away.

He also helped with the negotiations as my Spanish still sucks. As long as I have my Pimsuler cd’s in I can communicate great, but take them away and I become a babbling idiot. She was somewhat frustrated that we couldn’t talk. But I got my pocket PC out and we played with the Spanish / English dictionary for awhile. She seemed to get a kick out of that.

She also liked the chocolates they leave nightly and I gave her a choice of a pair of panties Joe Boxer which she really liked.

Not bad for $80 for just over an hour plus 2 chocolates and one $3 pair of panties not too bad.

All in all it was a great first night.

Day 2 : Sunday 10/3

Went walking and ended up at the Del Ray. One of the guys and I went to check out New Fantasy around 10:30 and the gates were locked. Good thing the holes in the fence aren’t smaller and tighter. We then walked past ZB and then headed back to the Presidente. Hung out until 1 pm and then ventured out to Eros after calling NF and we didn’t get an answer. This was my first trip there and the selection wasn’t bad. I chose Raquel/Rachel I can’t remember the name for sure and took off. My friend decided to skip this one and headed out.
Raquel is small breasted but had a great ass. We showered and hit the bed for the massage. She gave a good hard massage.

That’s when it went bad.

She asked me to turn over and on my leg was a large pool of blood. She must have seen the look of horror in my face. She said don’t worry it’s my period. Well I wasn’t and have never been one to partake in bloody Mary’s unless they contain vodka and celery this had neither so I ended the session there. Showered and left.

I went to the Del Ray restaurant and ate a nice meal and then headed back to the Del Ray. I was greeted by Laura from the last trip. After a couple of beers we headed back to the Presidente. She has lost some weight and looks pretty good. We had a great session but she was disappointed that I only was able to produce a little leche. At one point she looked over her shoulder and asked if I wanted to put it in her ass and that it was only double cien and that it would be good for me. I laughed and kept the current position.

I let her pick out a couple pair of panties and she was happy with the token gift.

Day 3- 5 : Monday 10/4 Left for Tamarendo

Day 6 : Thursday 10/7 Returned from Tamarendo which was a few days with a great group of guys. This was a very relaxing diversion from the gulch. I have found this trip as the last was much more enhanced by the friendship and championship of the members of this board.

But I was ready for some action and was off to ZB to see what I could find. Sasha was available and I had a nice 2 hour session with her. I took a few pictures and we had to keep taking them until she approved one for the internet! Sasha is a lot of fun.

Went out for the hunt at the DR and found Alexandra or I should say she found me a hot little Dominican.

We danced at Key Largo for awhile. Alexandra and I went back to the Presidente for a good round of fun and then she wanted me to go back to Key Largo to meet her sister and go with both. I let her pick out a pair of panties and of course she wanted everything in the drawer. Thanks to the guys for this gift tip. The chicas really love it and I am only out about $2 – 3 per pair. The sister wasn’t up to the same quality that Alexandra was so we danced some more and I was ready to go home. I don’t really dance its more like a kind of seizure sort of thing with some swaying and jerking around with arms flopping. The more I drink the better (or worse) it gets!

As I was leaving Key Largo a short skinny thing grabbed my arm and was trying to kiss and pull on me. She was saying “Hey baby I will let you do anything. You need me tonight.” I was trying to wretch myself from her grip and it was like a little puppy had grabbed the cuff of my pants and wouldn’t let go. I finally broke free and ran for the door and the safety of the Presidente. I hope I never get that desperate!

Day 7 : Friday 10/8

The time is getting short so I have to make the most of paradise while I can. ZB couldn’t locate my T shirts on the first visit so I was “forced” to go back. I sat in the waiting area for some time and finally chose Charlotte (I am guessing at the name I can’t seem to remember what it is). She provided a great time. As I was leaving I checked with Wanda for my shirts and they still couldn’t locate them. So a quick email to Admin 1 straightens everything out. But now I am going to have to suffer through another session at ZB. This is really making my life rough!

Met with some guys, one walked through and grabbed a couple of friends and was off to dinner. I ran into another Columbiana from my first trip. As I had been out until 3 am the night before I was ready to take the easiest catch and was assured a good time so that I could crash early and get in a good last full day.

Day 8 : Saturday 10/9

I started the day at the rail with some of the guys. There was one guy from Florida not a member of the board who was telling us he had met the president of the Presidente. This was the desk clerk on the night shift. He said but the guy had President on his name badge.

After breakfast and a short nap I went to Mas X Menos to buy some coffee. I came back and headed to ZB to pick up my t shirts. Didn’t make any sense to go there for the shirts and then I forced myself to have one more session.

Wanda greeted me and took me to the back. I chose Charlene again as she gave a great bbbj and also a pretty good massage.

Took a walk around town and then headed back to the Presidente for a rest and some computer time. This time I used the wireless on my laptop and didn’t need their card to get the internet.

I wondered over to the DR and met up with some guys. We had a few drinks and after awhile some left for dinner, one went back to the Presidente. I had met a beautiful tica that I had been watching for 3 days and was finally able to catch up with her.

She was one of the best experiences I have had on the last 3 trips combined. She is very sweet and very affectionate.

We spent several hours together and then went to Key Largo to dance afterwards. Unfortunately I am leaving in the morning and won’t have the opportunity to meet with her again before I leave.

Even though this was a great experience it would have been better if I knew at least basic conversational Spanish.

Day 9 : Sunday 10/10

Well it's the worst day of any trip, the day to return home. I had breakfast at the rail to enjoy that wonderful view with a couple of other guys.

While sitting there in walks Rocio and she came to the table to say hello. I have to get with her on my next trip. She is one beautiful lady.

My summary of a great 3rd trip

Sadly I pack and get ready to return to the cold climate of Chicago and even colder gringas. My girlfriend sent me an email that she is getting a room at one of the adult hotels as I haven’t been ph*cked for almost 2 weeks. I hope she can’t get the room for at least a week after my return as I will be ready for a short rest!
It has been a great trip. Once again I have met some great guys from the board.

The time spent at Tamarendo was one of the highlights of the trip. The break from the gulch and the camaraderie was very rewarding.
As was the booze and the pool.

This also gave me chance to refresh myself so that I don’t get the “no muy leache” line by the 4th day.

Of course I went up and booked my room for May 2005. At least planning and anticipating the trip will help me survive until I can return. I can’t think of a better place to celebrate my 43rd birthday!

WilliamWalker,

You have a good point on the two girl thing. For what ever reason the Presidente stopped that. What places do you know that allow 2 girls and better without charge.

Most times you have to register. You can of course sneak them in, but for your own safety and hers, you might want to register.

WillySP
10-12-04, 23:44
Myself I wouldn't try to sneak in a girl at the Presidente.

It does provide some protection for you. If anything happens you can report it and the hotel has all the girls’ info.

Most girls don't want to risk being barred from the Presidente. It’s a very easy process to check the girls in.

Jaimito Cartero
10-12-04, 23:58
I would always register a girl. The Presidente doesn't charge guest fees that I know of.

As for leaving just because a chica is on the rag, that seems rather unneccessary too. I mean, her mouth still works, right? Getting blood on you isn't too cool, though.

The idea of going to Tamarindo, Flamingo, or other less travelled place is actually nice. San Jose is not the best city to learn of the beauty of CR. The first time I went there, it was a long journey. Almost 16 years ago, no shortcut bridge, a long-ass, bumpy dirt road there. I was amazed that someone would pay $20k for a little 1/2 hectare lot next to the river (whatever the inflow into the ocean is, next to the main road). I would hate to think what that lot is worth now.

Does not allow two girls at the same time which I tried.

If you want to get girls in,first get one girl in and wait for half hour,go down to the cafe meet the other girl and then get the other girl in.

They dont check when the girls leave.

They have a nice jacuzzi, which is clean. If you get a gfe it is nice and romantic. You do have to book in advance. Usually it is available all the time.

Chuponalgas,

I stayed at the Presidente and La Gran Via for a few days each in August/September to compare the hotels. The bottom line is that the Presidente is nicer, but Gran Via is cheaper, and different people have different opinions about whether the higher cost is worth it for the higher quality at the Presidente.

In both hotels, my room was clean, the desk staff was helpful, and the water temperature and pressure in the shower were fine. Gran Via has balconies, which the Presidente does not. The Presidente has air conditioning, which Gran Via does not. At Gran Via, you have to leave your key at the front desk whenever you leave the hotel. Since both hotels face Avenida Central, there was more noise than I would have liked late at night and early in the morning, but that's life.

I paid the (discount) rate of $36.50 plus tax per night at Gran Via, and the (discount) rate of $48.00 plux tax per night at the Presidente. I preferred the Presidente, but if money was tight on a return trip, I'd go back to Gran Via.

Norm,

Swimming pools at downtown hotels are very rare. The Prez has a jacuzzi, but personally I'd be very reluctant to use a public jacuzzi at a monger hotel, if you know what I mean. If you're willing to stay a bit further from the Gulch, your swimming pool options increase. The Best Western Irazu (10-15 minutes from downtown on the way from the airport) has a nice swimming pool and is fairly guest friendly (I forget what the fee is).

The prez definitely does not have any chica fee, but does limit guests to one at a time. Another way around it is to find a buddy who will let you sign the second one in under his room number (assuming he is not planning to sign one in for himself at the same time). It ain't a good idea to sneak them in (or, for that matter, leave them alone in your room while you check in a second one) as it is really just for your protection.

Re: the Gran Via vs Prez comparison, I don't know much about the Gran Via, but can tell you this. The absence of an A/C is not as important as one might think given SJ's mild climate.

As FL Cracker said go back a few pages as there has been a lot of posts on the subject. Just a thought on the pool thing. We are up in the mountains and it is the rainy season. You might not want to use the pool so much since it is cool not hot here.

There are some places with pools but if you are looking for the "Action" and hotels with no hassle policies on bring in girls you want to close to the center of town. There are places like La Gran Via, Presidente and Morazon. I recommend the Presidente for reasons stated before. They do have a suite with Jacuzzi and a free one on the top floor for all guests.

I'll post in earnest once stateside, but wanted to share a rather unpleasant experience...

Last night, the Radison Europa refused entrance to our guests!

I hadn't heard of this before. The general manager of the hotel happened to be there and put the kabash on us. We even tried to sneak in after a drink in the bar.

The security guys seemed as amazed as we were. I spoke off and on to the staff and they indicated that you should book a party of 2 (which I can't do), wait until after 10pm (that's when the female staff goes off duty), and do not stop at the desk. Still, no guarantees.

Too bad because, besides that, it's a glorious hotel.

Just got back from my annual sabatical to Disneyland for guys, SJ. Spent a week there and as usual everything was fantastic.

October is a great time to go if you don't mind the rain. Lots of ladies, prices are just right. Never pay the asking price at the BM or KL. Can really negotiate at this time of the year. Try to get there between paydays. This also increases the prices. Most nights at BM and KL there was a 2-1 or 3-1 ratio. Had a great time also at Club Idem. Try Tanya there. Cute Tica with a great personality. But need some spanish to make it even better.

Hooked up with one Tica at BM for two nights. What an experience. Everything and anything was available. Paid $150 for 2.5 days and nights. Like a GFE. Sweet lovable and very passionate. You might want to look for Rebecca Julianna or Trini at BM. Both are keepers. Only go once a year, so really shopped while there. (Shopping isn't only looking, it's talking and laying it on the line what you want and expect) Don't be bashful, make sure she knows what you want and expect. If she doesn't meet your standards, just keep on shopping. It is a buyer's market and use it. Spanish is a major plus and will help even if you know a little. When you see something you like go to it immediately to keep fellow mongers away. If anyone wants any further info, just PM and I will give you more details. Try the GREEN SEASON!

Was in San Jose three weeks ago and have plenty to share. I just wanted to chime in real quick on the Gran Via vs Presidente. I stayed at the Gran Via and have some bad news to share. If you choose to stay there, keep an eye on your belongings. Your stuff is not even secure in the safes. I had 60 dollars taken out of my safe on a day I went on the Poas volcano tour. There is no way I could be mistaken either. I have traveled the world and have particular practices. When I put my stuff in the safe I put it in a particular spot (pattern like) as to show if someone had gone through my things. Low and behold the things in my safe were not as I left them. I am not a drinker so it was not one of those "I was so wasted I spent more than i thought" nor was it any girl I was with because I set aside this money to hit the Del Ray the night I got back from the tour. I had the safe key in my possesion at all times but... It is a damn skeleton key... probably easily replicated. Other than that the price was right and rooms were nice. So if anyone chooses the Gran Via, do not be careless with your belongings especially your money. The owner stated that this is the first time he had heard of such a thing, but after talking to some monger guests who frquent the Gran Via, it came about that other guests had mentioned similar occurances but just did not bring it to the attention of the staff. I think it is the maids but did not catch anyone red handed and it becomes a your word against mine thing. So Mongers beware!

I'll have some reports of my escapades at a later date.

801 which I have stayed in has a large balcony. I will post pictures of the room in a few days. I would have to say it is my favorite room to date.

701, 802 and I believe there are a couple of others that have balconies.

I have stayed in both the Presidente and the Gran Via both are clean, the Presidente is more modern, The Gran Via has balconies. You do not have to leave your keys at the desk of the Gran Via if you do not want to, it is a option. The Presidente is more expensive about $15 a day more, If you are staying a week or more the Via offers weekly rates and it can run about $25 a day less than the Presidente . No, A/C at the Gran Via but average temp in San Jose is 73 days 68 at night because of this the Gran Via rooms are better ventilated and are very convertible. Both have 24 hour staff and you can go and come as you want. They are both in nice locations. You can bring 2 girls or more at the Via. Both do not charge extra for guest. In my opinion either place is a better deal than the Dell Ray. The Presidente has a nicer lobby. They both have a high rate of occupancy and sometimes sold out. I hope this helps you
have fun in San Jose

After doing more gruling research I have decided to take Master Monger's advice and change my hotel reservation from the Del Rey to the Royal Dutch. More so for the casino options that are available then anything else (yeah, right).

Thanks to all who have provided reports on who to look for and where the hot spots are. I like the idea of giving little gifts to the chicas after a job well done. I'll be arriving late evening on 9 November and will be ready to indulge later that night. The first round of drinks is on me.

Rock on, rock hard,

Ken

Hi Guys,

A quick question, if anyone has ever tried this successfully or failed.
Some of the Maids at the regular CR hotels, eg> barcelo palacio and hotels in Jaco and Arenal etc.> look very hot and tempting.

Did anyone ever proposition them say with a $100!

Sorry but I cannot get the question mark etc. to come out right on this CR keyboard..

I am a little chicken to try, as it just might get back to the sedate group I am with. I did try with a hot hotel Massuese once, but she spoke little english and I spoke negligible spanish so it was going nowhere.

But if someone has been successful, I will give it a discreet try.

Thanks

I just emailed the Hotel Gran Via regarding a room over the thanksgiving week. I was quoted $40.25/night for a weekly rate which included the absurd cr tax of 16%. This also includes the American breakfast. This is only good until Nov 30 when the high season begins. This ain't too bad for San Jose. The other place I've stayed many times in San Jose is the Ara Macao. I know, this is way too low for most of you high rollers, but you get a small breakfast in the morning, and even better, they do your laundry daily in the daily rate. It's also chica friendly. It's maybe 6 blocks east of downtown. I stayed there because it was close to the Spanish school I was attending. Just one note, you guys have driven the price of chica's above the comfort zone for me. I know, $75-100 seems low by US standards, but you've priced me out of the market. I won't be returning after this next trip. Look at the prices in Montevideo. I'm probably going to shoot myself for promoting this because you idiots will undoubtly screw this up in the near future. Sex for under $15 in a clean environment is pretty incredible. I know, I remember when one could get sex at this price in San Jose but it was in a pretty shabby place.
Whatever.

Good hunting

For AsianLvr and others let me review once more the Royal Dutch hotel (and casino) in San Jose.

Shamas and I arrived there in Sept 2003 for five days. I had called the desk and made a reservation. Upon arrival we found they did not have my reservation but had rooms. They would not take Master Card, but only Visa. Shamas only had a Master Card.
They charged my Visa card $380 upon arrival and I objected saying I had a rate of $35 and would be there only five days. So I had them cancel the charge and I prepaid with cash every morning.
The air conditioning in my buddy's room did not work. They moved him to another room where it did not work either. He moved a third time.

The hot water in both rooms was off half the time, usually when you needed it most.

The only elevator did not work some of the time. One time a lady was checking in with luggage and she had to carry it up stairs. I was on the fifth floor. Walking up was a pain in the knees.

They have minimal hotel staff with no bell boys and the maids are hard to find when you need them.
I will say the beds are nice and the TV is big.

They do not have security to keep out non-guests since the main floor is the casino. If you get a room on the second or third or even the fourth floor expect casino and disco noise.

They do not have room service.
In fact they do not have breakfast and we ended up walking to the News Cafe and paying $6 each morning. The room keys worked half ass.

The location is a miserable walk of five blocks in the rain to the Blue Marlin when there are no taxis available. Someone attempted to pick my pocket just outside the hotel on the corner although that can happen anywhere.

The first day there I checked and found another hotel had rooms available in two days. Needless to say we both moved to another hotel at the first opening.

Just returned from a Columbus Day Holiday in SJ. I have to agree with anyone who has been there befor and enjoyed the fine talents of the Tica woman for under 10,000 colones. Cien dollers is a sick mantra. Over and over again, cien ,cein, cein dollers. To which I reply no es possibly. The BM girls with a little attention and comunication will walk out of the bar for as low as 10,000 but more realisticly 20,000 colones. All over the city I saw prices go up 1000,2000,and 3000 colones since July. Even So-be-ny wanted 12.000 colones. Give me a break. Back in December it was 3000. Zona Blue at 20,000 colones was excellent. clean, shower in room and great choices. However 1 hour is just that 1 hour and the girls are aware of what one hour is since there's a nice big clock on the wall. Oasis at 10,000 had great young talent but no shower in room and no shower with girl befor or after. Masaje profesional VERONICA had great choices mostly nica's. This is the place to the right of the Toyota dealership on Pase Colon. and VIP looked clean. only saw two chicas since the rest were busy. worth checking out again. This is the one by the Mercedes building on Paseo Colon. 747 had some new talent as did Cha Cha Cha's next door. Kryis was over the top at $75.00 and nothing special to look at. New Fantasy is opened. Talent was beat. Now Each place changes. so get out there. EXPLORE

Firebird,

Re: exchange rates: private banks are the best -- they're open late, soem until 9pm, and don't usually hassle you over your bills being perfect or a need to see your passprt (some still do). Scotiabank was hassle free. Banco National wanted to see my passport, and recorded all the serial numbers off the money and refused some $100 bills because they were too worn. But everyone now accept US dollars -- even the peaje (toll both) on the highway just before the airport, it's less that 100 colones and all I had was a $50 bill. They took it and gave me back mixed change. I got two US twenties and the rest in colones. Simply Amazing.

I read that the high season starts after Thanksgiving.

How much does this increase the cost? Does it affect the girls, or just the hotels?

And when does high season end?

I am debating between going over Chrisstmas, at the end of March, or in June. Any advice?

Thanks.

Ace and Shamas,

THE ENTIRE HOTEL HAS BEEN REMODELED!!!!!! in Late 2003

Do you guys know the owner of another hotel, because that was far off from my Experience at the ROYAL DUTCH, The hot water always worked, but it was a little tricky to figure out, but once I figured out the position of the levers it was fine.

THEY DO HAVE BREAKFAST, it a buffet style for only 2.00 and it was very good! It is located on the second floor every morning.

I find it hard to believe the AC didn´t work because I had stayed in two different rooms and they both had brand new LG Air Conditioners, when you there maybe they didn´t.

The elevator always worked but is very slow!

It is the best NOW.

Your report is like telling us about your experience with a prostitute before she got liposuction a boobjob and her pussy tightened.

Good luck everyone,

ONe more thing I have about 30 more pictures to post for Costa Rica, but I am very busy with tyhe girls here in Colombia. When you see these pictures you will all change your tickets from Costa Rica to Colombia. I can say so far after about 10 countries Colombia has the best looking prostitutes of anywhere. But China and Indonesia are still better for free sex.

Stay tuned,

Master Monger - Travieso
