Day 5
Decided to go to the Beer Garden in the early evening with the aim of finding a girl and going to a movie. Movies are in English with Thai subtitles and the Emporium Shopping Center is connected with the Sky Train and thus is easy to get to. Had looked in the Bangkok Post earlier and had an idea of the movie starting times so planned my hunt based upon that. Met several girls at BG but none wanted to go for a LT but finally hit upon Tuk who agreed to a LT and a movie. Returned to my hotel where I took a quick shower and then we went to the movie. Went to Thermae and was surprised to see the crowd of ladies there was much younger than in the past. To those of you that do not know Thermae is a Bangkok landmark and has a long and illustrious history. Originally started as an after hours coffee shop it has evolved into one of the premier late night freelancer pickup spots. Before the current crackdown, requiring all entertainment venues to close down at 1 or 2 A.M., Thermae was a magnet for bar girls who had not been bar fined and punters needing a late night drink. But like all things in Thailand things have changed for the worse and Thermae is now closing at 1 and making sure everyone is out the door by 2 A.M. Also the staff has established an age verification and nationality check at the door for all girls they do not recognize. Girls who pass the age and ID check are given a hand stamp and allowed entry. When I enquired with several girls why there were suddenly a lot of younger girls in Thermae I was informed that since several bars in both Nana and Soi Cowboy had been temporarily closed down for "social order" violations there thus was a surplus of go-go bar girls that had to work and only so many bars could absorb the excess. Interesting to note that I was constantly turned down for a LT, unusual for Thermae.
Finally met Moon who had a pleasant personality and quickly agreed to my long time proposal. Upon return to my hotel and after the mandatory shower she was an enthusiastic provider who really enjoyed DFK, BBBJ, and DATY and totally GFE. Go to Beer Garden after a late dinner. Met Kay, a real stunner, whom I had seen at the BG on an earlier occasion but took someone else. Bangkok - I was there the first time for a few days, I stayed at the Majestic Suites (thanks to the Admin.) and paid 36 USD for a very good room on the 8th floor. Clean, comfortable and very central. Just around Nana Entertainment Complex and Nana Disco.
Nana Complex is a madhouse. full of bars and approx. 90 % girls - but beware of the 10 % Katoys. They are well "transformed" but you see immedaitely if it was originally a man. They are taller, have usually an Adam´s apple, large hands and feet and girls are simply moving and behaving differently. But each to its own.
The going rate at Nana Plaza is - as reported - 1000 Baht ST. The quality is average 5 - 6, no real stunners. Picked up a Wh**e in Nana Disco, ST. Nothing to write home about, paid 1000 Bath also there.
Next day I went to Darling, paid 2.500, excellent 2 hours service, one pop already in the whirle-pool bbbj, after that 1 hour massage, then another pop. It was number 23, a solid 8.
The day after I went back and Papasan recommended no. 36. Went with her for bath/massage.

I am in Latinas and comparing Bangkok with Rio I will give Brazil every day the preference. - Please - this is my personal opinion. All the fun and joy the Latinas are radiating - you do not see and feel this in Bangkok. You are regarded there as a walking piggy-bank only. NO GFE experience at all. For sure BKK is safer than Rio, but if you exercise caution, it is ok.
The Termas in Rio are unmatched and I think the inventor of the Termas should be bestowed with the Saint-hood or something like this. Contrary to the Fish-Bowles in Thailand you can talk to the girls in the Termas, crack some jokes, have some fun and you can decide over quite some time which one you would like to take.
Personal resume: BKK is a shopping heaven but for mongering I prefer South America, i.e. COLUMBIA; DR; BRAZIL and ARGENTINA.
On top of it all establishments in BKK had to close a 1 am. Quite early. I was very disappointed.
This is a very personal experience and everybody has the right to disagree with me.

the flight out from london was a challenge! i had used my reward miles from singapore airlines to get a free ticket to bangkok, so the cost of the flight was £37 for airport taxes and 70000 miles for the flight. unfortunately it was coach, as i was short of about 20000 miles for a business seat (130k). on an 11hr flight, flying coach is hard. the service on thai air is however excellent. you get hot towels after take off and the meal was even edible with plenty of drinks. an ice cream is served about 4-5hrs into the flight. breakfast was a ham and cheese omelette with a sausage and hash browns with yoghurt and fruit. managed to get about 4 hrs sleep, even after popping some sleeping pills and wearing eyeshades. did not help that i was in the last row in the 747 by the toilets, so constant disturbance by everyone, as they went to the toilets.
day 1
the flight left late due to the plane not arriving on time, however we made it into bkk at 6:45 (40 mins late). immigration was a 10 min procedure and luggage was there by the time i got to baggage claim. as already suggested by others, do not change currency back home, change when you reach bangkok. the rate is much better and they do not charge any commission. the rate for traveller’s cheques is better, but only slightly. i also followed advice on the forum, and took a taxi from outside and ignored all of the touts as i came out to the airport. the cost was 400 baht from the airport to majestic suites, where i was staying. i had booked the hotel well in advance and they had advised that they might not have had a room ready at that time due to the early check in. however, after 10 mins waiting, my room was ready. took the obligatory sss (shit, shower and shave) and met my friend who was staying at the marriott. now the marriott is a really good hotel and is only 1 min from the majestic suites. i did not have enough marriott reward points to stay there for the duration of my trip and frankly since its so cheap to stay here, did not want to waste the points for the marriott in bkk. had breakfast, checked email and wanted to get loosened up after the flight so a thai massage was in order. my friend had been here all of last week and had hired a driver for all day at a cost of 1000 baht, so he drove us everywhere we wanted to go. went to happy 2, got a tea while we waited and was advised that it was 2000 for a eucalyptus oil massage or 1200 for a regular massage, which is for 2 hrs. decided to take the oil massage. the girls were dogs, but since i really wanted the massage and not sex, did not care. took a shower and then started the massage. the hound that was servicing me did a good job and oiled all the right parts. she was working on mr. happy, but since she was such a dog and i wanted to reserve my juice for the night, i passed on the hand job. my friend however partook; he paid 400 baht as a tip, whereas the girl that did me only got 200. we then went back and i got some zzz’s to make sure we were ready for the night action.
went to nep, which is just 30 secs from the hotel. in fact the room i was staying in overlooks the plaza, but the double-glazing is so good, that you don’t hear any of the noise from nep. now this was a major disappointment for me! this place is a shithole, maybe my expectations were too high, as i was expecting a three story concrete complex, but this is a load of bars with the girls just trying to entice you to go in. took a look round around all of the floors and ended up on the top floor and in some bar (can’t remember name as was too pissed) and ending up bar fining two girls for 600 baht each. the price was 2000 for st as my friend did the negotiations, i bitched at him for agreeing such a high price, but he was working on uk money, so i let it pass. we took them to eat at nana hotel for 500 baht for all of us, they even phoned a friend so she could eat for free ! i took my girl back to my hotel and she sucked and fucked me, after 1 hr finished and i just wanted her out of my room. for 2000 baht, this was my first introduction to bangkok and i was severely disappointed however don’t forget this was my first time so lesson learnt! my friend’s girl was similar.

next day we had the driver take us to pattaya. when we arrived we went to a hotel he suggested (mark land sea view). they wanted 1980 for a mini suite room (a huge room with a double and single bed with sea view), so we decided to see what else was available, since this place was at the very start of the beach and a long way from the action. we saw several places ranging from 600 to 5000, and considering we were staying for just one night and the fact that i was still paying for the hotel in bkk, as i had not checked out, the mark land seemed good compared to the ones we saw. we booked in and headed out to get something to eat. the kebabs/satays off the street vendors looked good. i was worried of the quality and what effect it would have on my stomach, but they tasted great (except beef ones which were tough). beware the red chillies are hot, i’m use to chillies but my mouth was tingling for a good 10 mins after i took one of those bastards. after the food, we went back and slept to catch from the night before and get ready for night actions.
the driver took us to downtown pattaya. first place we stopped at was the place where they have the thai boxing and all of the girls at the various bars at this place call\whistle for you to come in. we found one bar, close to the ring and had a few beers playing connect 4 with the girls and watching the boxing. the thing that disturbed me most was the children boxing. these kids were 9 to 10 yrs old, this is one hard county to earn a living. the winner gets the right to come around and get money off the farangs. when you tip the kid that won, he touched your feet in respect and you feel sorry for the poor blighter.

i had read so much about bkk that i just had to see this place, however i doubt if i will return. it is cheap for pussy, but the costs can add up if you are not careful. my budget was £1200 for the week and we did eat, drink and fuck very well. i have played in brazil and argentina, i personally prefer those places as there is just more interaction between the girls and you, unlike bkk where all they want is your money. i was also very concerned about the std’s in bkk, and covered up for all bj’s. for someone who has never been to bangkok, i would still say go and see this place, you will be surprised.

I've been 3 times in BKK and 1 time in Rio and I think that it's really up to you if you go for very profesionnal ladies. You have to get familiar with each city and know all the places and mentality before making a judgement. Nana/Sukhumvit is just 1% of BKK nightlife but surely 100% professional and "business as usual".

I am sorry you did not have a good time in LOS. For me LOS is a lot better than a other places (Singapore, Indonesia, Mexico, Canada, England etc.) I have been to. The bar in the Conrad Hotel is very nice and classy, just like the hotel itself. The hotel is certainly one of my four favorites in BKK. The club there used to be THE place but like most clubs in BKK, it was hot for about four months.
The saxophone is a bit more rough in term of interior but if you're looking for music, it's also a good place to go to. However, you should call them since they focus on different music theme on certain day.
Saxaphone has a lot of foreign clients so they should be able to converse with you in English.
Agreed on the Conrad. THe bar there does have a few workers but quite expensive for BKK at 4k a go!!!
One thing I did meet the Manager before it opened and I asked him about bringing in girls and joiners fees. His comment was 'we practice hospitality not morality' .... I wonder if this is still the case!?

(never hurts to ask) Any major hotel is open to this if its more than 3 days and they save on the direct booking over using services to the tune of up to 40%, so they have a good motivation to entertain negotiation.
So if you are going on business and have the time, its a great place to call a second home.

I was in Thailand 2 weeks ago and searched high and low for Xanax in Bangkok. I found one place on Sukhumvit that still had it. The only problem is that they only carry the .25mg tabs. Can't remember the pharmacy name but it was between soi 5 and soi 9. There aren't that many pharmacies along that stretch. Just go in and ask until you find the right one. Asking for Alprazolam (the generic/chemical name for Xanax) won't help either. I tried and was given the same answer as asking for Xanax - 'You need a prescription'. On a positive note, I was able to get generic Xanax in Pattaya at a pharmacy on soi 13/1. Again, I don't recall the name, but I believe there are only 2 or 3 pahrmacies on that soi.
Freeler, what the pharmacists are telling me is it is now illegal for them to sell them. A few places buy them from unscrupulous doctors, but is is becoming more rare to find those guys. the few pharmacists I know used to carry them, but no longer do.
I was hoping someone had bought some in the last couple of weeks, and could lead me in the right direction.

In this great hobby of ours, I've learned that there are several tiers and levels to what we can get from it. I believe the Thai saying roughly translates into "above the sky is another layer of sky".
In most Asian countries that I'm familiar with, (Korea, Japan, and Thailand), the classification are as followed based on my own rating system:

I just got back from two weeks in BKK - a few changes since I was there last year but still fun for people of all ages. This is the second part of my report on my trip in July; the first part is posted in the Pattaya board, and covers my first three days, down there.
For what it's worth, this was my 5th trip to LOS although on my previous trips, for budget and other reasons, I mainly stuck to Pattaya. This trip I split my time evenly between Pattaya and Bangkok.
For day four of my trip, I arranged a cab to Bankok through my hotel. After the drive up, I checked in at the JW Marriott, and decided I was too tired for sightseeing. I ended up watching TV until things cooled down, and then headed out for dinner. I ended up trying a place called O'Brians, which pretty much right across from Majestic Suites. The American-style food was pretty poor, though they're open until 2AM and have breakfast all day.
After dinner, around 10, I cross the street back to Nana, and it was nicely busy. A lot busier than the last time I'd been which was on my first trip in late 2001. I've stuck to soapies and Soi Cowboy on my more recent trips, so it seemed to me there had been a lot of changes.
I dropped in at about a half dozen bars. The first was Angel Witch, which was very busy. I don't get its popularity on other boards. Drinks were more expensive (110 baht for a coke, vs 95 at every other bar, with alcoholic choices similarly pricier) and the girls didn't appear any more attractive than at the other bars. The show was the usual shuffle. And worse, pretty covered up, but that was true most of the time in every bar I went to this trip except for the two Supers in Pattaya which were topless.
The second bar I went to, and where I should have headed back to, was G-spot. I don't remember it from my prior trip although that's not hard -- it might just not have made a big impression then, as it didn't have any particular uniform/theme. I just want to add my two cents regarding LOS... a couple of guys on the Philippians board have said that after going to Phil, they realized that they had wasted thier time in LOS. Well for someone that have gone to both, Thailand is by far the best. I was there in June (I know late report, but I procrastinated).

I think it's Rachada, from Rachadapisek road. Note that since the Thai alphabet is different from ours, the transliteration into our alphabet can vary a lot for the same word.
And it's not really a suburb -- it's pretty thoroughly part of the city. Thanks to the new subway, the soapies on Rachadapisek are now actually reachable without a cab. My own favorite, Poseidon (as noted below) is a little nearer to the Suttisarn station but one stop further south would put you very near Emanuelle. I think the stop name is Huay Kwang. I've seen maps with two different sets of names, so don't quote me on that - but it's definitely the one between "Thailand Cultural Center" and "Suttisarn"
To get there from the usual locations on Sukhumvit, either just walk to Asok road (if you're nearer there than the Nana BTS) or hop on the Skytrain/BTS for one stop to Asok... go downstairs to the subway station, hop on, and ride north for about 4 stops (check the map, don't trust me on the exact count). The cluster of soapies by the Emerald hotel should be right nearby once you get out; Caesars, on the other (East) side of Rachadapisek, has a very large sign and should be impossible to miss -- it's just a bit south of the cluster you're looking for.
If you do choose to take a cab, make sure to ask for the Emerald hotel and not for massage. There are two reasons for this: first, if Emanuelle is one of the places that gives a kickback, your bill will go up in order to pay the cab driver his kickback. Second, if Emanuelle is not one of the places that gives a kickback, your cab driver is very likely to argue with you or try to take you to a place that does.
Instead, just go to a hotel near whichever soapie you wanted, and hop into the lobby first, then out to the soapie.

You can hardly judge the entire RP by Metro Manila and Cavite. Having made dozens of trips to both the RP and LOS, I think I've got a pretty good handle on both. IMHO you are mistaken about the GFE. i have just returned from bangkok and wish to report my latest adventures.

I don't think it is a good idea to use escort agencies in Bangkok, available girls are everywhere so why pay inflated prices. Get a cab over to Nana Plaza, have a few beers and then get to the Nana hotel car park at 2am, when the disco finishes you will have roughly 100 girls to choose from. You will have no problem finding company for the night for 2000 baht--or less. You say that most hotels are cool with having a female guest in your room, this is not always the case----many will charge what they call a joiner fee of say 500 baht, this is a scam but there is not much you can do about it.

There are also ATM's in the airport. My €uro-ATM card gives me better rates than cash or cheques. Your ATM-rates, of course, depend on bank's policies.

Traveller's checks are usually listed at a higher rate than cash, but then subjected to per-check fees, so make sure that you get them in large denominations so as to minimize the effects.
Also, you get a better rate when changing a $100 bill vs. a $20.
Whatever you do, Don't change your money at a hotel. You will get a horrible rate. For example, while the rate at a money changer is aproximately 41.3B:1USD, the hotel will give you 36:1: OUCH!

At the airport and at any exchange area, the AMEX $1000 USD travellers check is the best of them all. Especially if you can get them for free! You'll find they charge 30 baht at the airport per check. So if you use five $100 checks, you pay 150 baht. But if you use a $500 check, you pay 30 baht. Inside bangkok, they charge 20 baht per check, so use a high denomination. Naturally, this is all negligible, but 100 baht is a free A1 aircon bus ride from the airport to the hotels.

The exchange rates are pretty much the same in the airport B40.9 & downtown B41.03 to the US$.
They do take a while to 'authenicate' the $ bill - pretty annoying that!
Some will not accept the older bills and the Bens & the Grants get a slightly higher rate the others.

Actually, davidc, you're better off bringing Traveller's cheques in $100 denominations. The charge for the cheques is more than offset by the better rate.
Davidc, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the VERY best exchange rate (down to the nearest baht), or whether cash gets better rates than travellers checks. You are going there to enjoy yourself. You shouldn't worry too much about this (unless you are changing thousands of dollars). As long as you stick to exchanging your money in an established bank (ie: Bangkok Bank, Thai Farmers Bank, or Krung Thai Bank), you should be fine. Whatever you lose by changing cash instead of travellers checks can be made up very quickly with a good deal with a girl, or scoring a good negotiation on your hotel room. What I would advise is, if you are exchanging cash, take only $100 and $50 bills, and get brand new ones from the bank before you go. Some places are picky about exchanging bills that have been folded, or bills with any kind of writing or marks on them. Concentrate on having fun while you are there, and don't worry too much about exchanging the money.

Arrived in BKK on 9/18 and checked into the JW Marriott. I had a reservation for $106 per night and was upgraded to the executive floor as I use the Marriott Hotels quite a bit. I had sent a message to The Traveler that I would be arriving and he gave me a call upon his arrival.
The Traveler speaks the language and knows BKK well. We started out at the Nana Entertainment Plaza visiting 2 go-go bars. At the 2nd bar we both made a selection from the many available and paid their bar fines.

Just made my frist trip to Thailand after several trips to Philippines, Indonesia & Hong Kong. I really enjoyed myself so thanks to all the contributors on this board who helped me to get to know the place a little beforehand.
I guess the only let down (in my eyes) was the price of beers. I mean it's definitely not Hong Kong, but I wasn't really expecting to pay 100 Baht per beer.
On my first night I met a bloke who has lived in BKK for a few years now. He offered to show me around and took me down to the Cowboy. Unfortunately it was (perhaps) too much of a big night. I awoke the next morning with a throbbing headache and an eagerness to grab a glimpse of the young lady curled up beside me. SHOCK HORROR!! Well, she wasn't all that bad. However, she was nothing compared to the girls we had been drinking with earlier in the night. I promised to go a bit easier on the beers after that experience. Needless to say that promise was very quickly broken.

Ask the taxi driver from teh airport to take you to Carnation. Should be about 10 mins there. Where do I start? Well I arrived in BKK with everything taken care of. I was to stay at the Nana despite hearing several bad things about it. I am hoping some of the learned members can give me some insight about something that happened to me recently in one of the Beer Gardens near NEP.
I was having a drink and the woman running the place waved off the other ladies that were hovering around me and got this one particular young lady to sit next to me.
This young lady did not know one word of English, not even hello. From my readings in the forum, this suggests that she was brand new to the game (in the farang bars at least). She was a nice young woman so I bought her a couple of ladies drinks and I spent the time trying to teach her some basic English words (as no conversation was possible).
She was even quite surprised when she was given a chit of paper for the first drink and the mamasan had to explain to her, in Thai, that it showed how much she had earned as her share of the ladies drink. This again suggested a newbie to this particular scene.
Later in the evening the mamasan approached me with details of the bar fine and the LT price and then added that she (the mamasan) would also accompany us to the hotel room and spend the night. I was not interested in taking up the offer, but the mamasan's comment still intrigues me.
I can think of a number of alternatives:
1. Mamasan was bi (or a lesbian) and wanted to sample the young lady as well (highly wishful thinking on my part)
2. Mamasan had the hots for me and wanted some action herself (wishful thinking on my part)
3. The young lady was new to the scene and mamasan was looking out for her during her first time with a farang (seems the probable reason)
4. Mamasan needed somewhere to spend the night (plausible reason)
5. This was some type of scam (uncertain about this).
I have read many of the reports and not found any similar comments. I am wondering what the learned members make of the mamasan's comments and what they think could have been on her mind.
Lance Alot, I've had similar things happen a couple of times (though not with the offer by the mamasan to accompany in those instances) and it usually means that the mamasan has picked you out as someone who would be "safe" for a new girl to be with. The last time it happened to me I had just short-circuited an argument by two farangs over a seat in a gogo by jollying the guys about remembering why we were all there, offering my seat, and moving to another spot. Ten minutes later the mamasan was over there with a new girl in tow, smiling and telling me what a good heart I had, and that she thought I would be good to this girl. I think the Nai Lert Park is the former Hilton Hotel on Witthayu (Wireless) road.
Not much action there, mostly embassies and dead department stores, but if you leave the hotel and turn right you will find The Pent at a few 100 m across the street. This night club seems to have a pool and girls to entertain you. Not sure if you can take them out, never been there, but you will find posts on other forums.
Other than that, you can continue on Witthayu, turn left at the sky train station and keep going until you reach Nana at Sukhumvit with a lot of action. Count about 15-20 min to get there, or better hop on any bus going that way for a few baht per ride.
Turning left from the hotel, on the other hand, you can cross the bridge over the Khlong San Saep canal and reach New Petchaburi road with its many massage parlorsn towards the east (right). The closest place is Plaza Entertainment with Cupidy Massage at the basement. The building is on the opposite side of the road; you have to walk around a park to get to the entrance located in the back. Again, that's quite a walk.
While staying at this hotel, don't forget to go out the back side through the garage and look at the shrine by the khlong with its great phallic sculptures. Past the gate you can walk down the soi to your left towards Central Department Store where you may find a freelancer during daytime. Great restaurant at the top floor. Lots of luck!

If you stumble out the front door and go down to the Wireless Road entrance you will run into the Penthouse Club. A bit pricey but some good lookers.
Taxi to Nana is about 20 minutes. It is actually quite close as the crow flies but Wireless Road runs the wrong way so you have to go around the block. If you feel like a bit of exercise walk the opposite way to the traffic flow and catch the Sky train on Sukumvit to the next stop at Nana.

Lancelot, that sounds not only like a rather hit-or-miss proposition but one where you're basically sending up a signal flare that you're there for the taking. You'd frankly be better off calling an escort agency and overpaying that way, and given that you have only a limited window of time I suspect worrying about the absolute best money deal isn't all that big a deal. In neither of the above scenarios are you likely to find a girl for 1500-2000 baht for the night.
Is there a particular reason why you wouldn't want to approach things from the perspective that the first night you just need to find someone temporary, and then when you have more time the next day you can do some more leisurely hunting for the right longer-term companion? That would probably be my approach in your situation. Your hotel is in the Patpong area, so you might get lucky and find someone there at the last instant. You could also get to your hotel and taxi over to the Sukhumvit area and find a freelancer, as by that point most bars will be shut down, and either take the girl back to your hotel or get a short-time place. But the late-night arrival does mean less time to get all your ducks in a row unless you want to stay up late looking.

I stayed at the JW Marriott 2 weeks ago and in my opinion it is the best hotel in Bangkok. The Marriott backs up to the Nana Hotel which is right in the middle of the action. The hotel is completly girl friendly and infact will treat them with the same courtesy that they would your wife. The staff will check your room 4 - 5 times a day to see if you need more towels, shower jell, soap ect and to clean up the bathroom if needed. I had 4 different girls spend nights with me there and the hotel even put extra tooth brushes in the bathroom for them. I was 100% satisfied with the Marriott. Leave the mini-bar alone, prices are too high for items in it. If you want liquor in the room visit the duty free liquor store at the airport right after you clear imigration. Very good prices.
Ask the front desk at time of check in if they will upgrade you to the executive level for a small fee (probably around $20). I got the upgrade free because I have a Marriott Platinum card. If you get on the executive level you will have access to the Executive Lounge which provides a free buffett breakfast each morning between 6am & 10:30 am and your girlfriend of the day is welcome as well. This is really nice as they have a cheff there to cook eggs or omelets to your order as well as waffles. We would eat a big breakfast late and skip lunch. They also have a free open bar in the lounge opening each afternoon around 4pm with some light finger foods. Around 6pm they put out heavier foods such as bar-b-q spare ribs and other things around 6pm. Made dinner here many nights. They also have Thai foods and this will please your girlfriend.
On the next street over (same street Nana Hotel is on) you will see the Day & Night Bar. They have 45 girls on the day shift and 45 on night shift. A number of fine looking ladies in here. Last night, around 10:30 I went to the Siam hotel coffeee shop to scout the girls there after I heard from other people talk about it.

Here goes another report, been to BKK and Pattaya to meet the

Was at the Beer Garden infornt Ambassador Hotel mid august recently. just back from my regular trip to bangkok.

in thailand their currency is called "baht", it is currently about 42 - 1 which isn't too bad, in my march trip, it was about 38-1.
day 1
i arrived into bangkok at 1100am, i was approached by at least 10 people asking me where i go, i asked them "you metered" they said "no" and i said "no thanks", i know they want 500 baht (about $12.50) for a ride to nana area, i was i've been here 10 times, i know it is a 150 baht plus tolls for a ride to nana area. i take a metered taxi to majestic suites and the fare comes to 145 baht. i gave him 200 baht and he said "tip for me" i just laugh, i just gave this guy a 55 baht tip. for those of you who have never been to majestic suites, it is a nice place but when the taxi drops you off, get ready to walk with your luggage, the taxi has to drop you off across the street because they don't have a drop off area.
