I had previously supplied the details on a quick visit to the Star of Light, and my initiation into the BJ bar fraternity. I have no idea about that particular escort agency but I do think that using up-market escort agencies is a good idea if you want a higher class of girl, especially if you want to take her out to nice restaurants etc.

I am still perfectly content with Sukhumvit street-meat but even the hottest bar-girl is considered pretty ugly by Thai standards.

We have a similar number of trips to the LOS, so I don't think your knowledge of local pricing is too much superior to my own. As in any market, there is supply and demand. Some nice looking girls will ask for 10,000 baht, and they may get it. However, most freelance girls will go for 1000 baht. I've gotten them for 500, 700 too, but it usually takes a bit of negotiation. If they think you're a dumb, rich, farang, of course they're going to start high on you.

If you "fall in love" with a girl, and have to get her, then you will pay too much. If money isn't important, then pay all you want. However to say that 3500 baht is a reasonable price for a good looking girl in Bangkok is just wrong.

And if pretty girls really got what they want, they'd want $1000 US every time.

We have obviously not met the same girls in LOS, while I do not believe in overpaying my experience is that the young and pretty girls know that they will eventually get the price they want (within reason). On my last visit I tried to pay 1000 baht for a little cutie in the Nana car park, she would not budge from 2000 baht, another two guys spoke to her and the third guy walked off with her----I would not make the same mistake again, if I really want the girl I will pay her price---for guys who are not fussy I suggest the beach road in Pattaya, many girls at 500 baht or even less.

Price controls are important, excessive payments result in higher prices for everyone. Yes the "A" team usually gets their asking price but good looks does not equal great performance. I've had a few lookers get away while dickering for a better price and I've ended up with someone else who pleased me to all of my wants and desires for the price I wanted to pay. I don't go to the dog pound and try to dig up a $1 cheapo, I dig up the $1 cheapos at the cemetary :-) .

What you have to remember is that what may seem excessive to you may seem cheap to someone else. A tourist on a 7 day trip is not going to worry too much about a few extra baht. I am sure you are aware that overnight bookings in the UK start at an outrageous £600---and guys pay it, not me I hasten to add.

We always have this pricing mumbo jumbo on the board and it is a highly legitimate affair, as we all have a limit to our funds, some more so than others of course.

I haven't gone out for a POP in a couple of weeks, but the last few times I took a girl home I paid from 1000 to 1400 Baht. This is not including barfines as a couple of the girls were from GoGo bars.

I've developed a new strategy for paying the girls and so far it is working quite well. Some of you guys might take offense to my method and that is okay and even appreciated. As to my method, it plays to my strengths while avoiding my weaknesses.

THE METHOD

1) Never leave the house with more than 2000 Baht (1500 is recommended)
2) Buy a beer upon arrival of your mongering destination so as to have small change
3) Arrive at Nana plaza about 1:45 AM
4) Always wear a smile
5) Be bold with the girls (which just means you should talk to the ones that interest you as you see them, don't wait)

In a nutshell, I leave the house with just enough money to cover my transportation and drinking expenses saving 1000 to 1400 Baht for the girl.

I hit Nana Hotel about 1:45am. I head directly to the lobby bar and buy a beer to sip whilst scoping out the action. After 1:45am you can walk directly into Angel disco without paying a cover and scope on the remaining girls. Lately the bar has been packed with girls and that is to your/my advantage.

I always wait for the bar to close and then go loiter in the parking lot near the street (Soi four). I have never failed to acquire a fantasy girl using this technique, and in fact, I have found the nastiest sex machines in my BKK experience using this method. When I say nasty I mean good in the sack. It is quite surprising how good looking some of these girls are!

I have just given a lecture on how to find a girl when my point was to tell you how to never pay more than 1500 Baht for the bonk. Opps! :)

The other prerequisite I forgot to mention is not to negotiate with the girl for the bonk. Negotiations are my weakness and that is why I use this semi-deceptive practice in acquiring a lady of the night. On the flip-side, I am extremely charming and that is most likely why this method works 99 precent of the time for me.

The key is not to take much money with you when you begin your adventure. After taking the lady home and having your bonk, whether it is a short time trip or a long time trip, there will come the time when you must pay the girl.

I lie on the bed smiling in a sated manner whilst fishing though my wallet. Then I roll my eyes and exclaim that I must have bought one or two drinks too many. At this point the girl is clued-in to the fact that you have little money. Don't hesitate because time is of the essence! Simply pull out your small fold and wai with money in the your hands. Afterwards, push it towards her while still smiling and exclaim, "My small kingdom is yours!" :)

I realize that this practise might not be condoned by all of you, especially those of you that are good negotiators. All I can say is this: I admire those of you that can negotiate, even to the point of envy, but negotiations are not my strong point. That is why I resort to charm and deception, it is my strength.

And if you think about it, there is no harm done as long as both parties are satisfied. And I do attest that no girl has complained that I didn't give her enough money.

One girl, (bless her heart), looked at my meager fold of 1,350 Baht and gave me back 200 Baht saying, "This is for you." I was so impressed with this that it gave me more than a little hope for the state of this race we call humanity.

Of course your milage will vary, but this is my story and this is my update on the price of a lay in Bangkok.

This is my first post. I would like to thank all for their excellent reports. There is a lot of valuable information here.

This report is a bit old (few months) but I guess better late than never.

This was my first trip to Thailand. I spent several days in Thailand split between Bangkok and Pattaya. I'll post my Bangkok part here and continue with Pattaya in that section.

Unfortunately, overall, I was a bit underwhelmed with my trip. Maybe I should tell other newbies here who might be in my situation the following: If you are not attractive to girls in your home country; you will not be attractive to girls in Thailand.

I have been reading reports of guys being treated like movie stars and having super sex with beautiful women who even show them around, etc. I do not doubt the truth of these reports...the problem though is that we do not know what the author looks like, how old he is, his personality , etc.

Many of the authors of these reports might be guys who are able to get beautiful women anywhere...so when they tell their tale of how well they did in Thailand; it really doesn't do someone like me (not attractive to the ladies) much good.

But please do not take this as a knock of this forum....I just thought I would warn other newbies who are in my situation.

Yes! I have been turned down by some pretty LON in Thailand! How pathetic is that?!

But having said all this, I will be back in Thailand the end of this year. Why? For two reasons, First I think maybe I just did not know how things work and did not approach the whole scene correctly and second, I like to give things a second chance. If it turns out to be another fiasco, then I will know that Thailand is not for me.

i don't care what i pay and frankly neither should you (care what i pay that is!). presumably you are a mature adult and capable of making your own decisions. so am i.

For some time I have been reviewing this wonderful forum in preparation for my “virginal” Bangkok trip over this weekend. Although I have enjoyed the lively exchanges and have amassed quite a bit of information, so far I had not felt knowledgeable enough to ask a pertinent question or make an intelligent comment.

I do, however, want to comment on the recent posts by Duniawala and Derk below, comparing Germany and Thailand as mongering destinations. In general, I find such comparative posts very useful. It was interesting to see how the two of them looked at the same situation and drew two different conclusions; that’s the beauty of life!

I have always felt that there are certain commercial sex venues that are simply unique to their location. Realizing that a comparison between them would inevitably reflect one’s personal preference, it nonetheless behooves one to experience as many of them as possible. In no particular order and with no reference to their quality, these include Brazilian Termas, Buenos Aires Boliches, Moscow Tochkas, Korean Barbershops and “An-Ma”’s, Amsterdam window girls, German FKK’s, Parisian swingers’ clubs and “Van walkers”, Prague’s K-5, Vienna’s Babylon, Russian saunas, and of course, Thailand’s “fish Bowls”. Yes, it's that time of year! I'll be Bangkok over New Years.... and was wondering who'd be interested in getting together for a little (or maybe not so little) party.

Naturally, all sorts of ideas spring forth as to the multiple possibilities for such an event. Whereas I'll be staying at the Ambassador Suites in their biggest style room (with a nice Jacuzzi) one idea is to rent for 1-2 nights a super-luxe large suite (say 2 or more bedrooms) perhaps with some kind of view... (candidate places....?) Perhaps some kind of (privately organized) quality show, music or group event, etc...? (Ideas, guys?)

The flip side of the coin is that some folks will be getting together in Pattaya... thus perhaps that might be more sensible for a lovely evening on the beach....? (But the Big City & Bright Lights beckon...)

MBK is very easy to find, to get there go to the National Stadium BTS, or jump in a taxi.

It is next to the Siam Shopping Centre and The Siam Discovery Centre which are also great places to hang out.

You can buy SIM cards everywhere, just grab one from the people who sell you the phone. IMHO AIS is the best network.

Had a chance to take a short trip to LOS, with a trip side-trip to Phnom Penh, in September after a bit of business in the region. Shortage of time limited me to Bangkok, where I stayed at Majestic.

i retired from the scene 2 years back. being a regional sales manager for a software company for south east asia region, had allowed me to prowl on the playing field of many major cities here and affectiontely bangkok is my favourite for the obvious reason. i retired from the game soon as i got married but have been following the progress and develoment of the scene from various sources such as this.

Arrived in BKK around 1:30pm. Got a "taxi meter" and headed to Majestic
Suites. Cost with tip, 350Bt. Unfortunately, my room reservation was canceled. "So sorry, Ragnar...I don't know what happened". They had a room available, but only for 1 night at 1850Bt...they wouldn't discount it to the 1295Bt internet rate. Hearing many good things about the place, I decided to take it anyway.

I have to disagree with all the positive comments in the forum on the Majestic Suites. Even if I were to have gotten the room at the 1295Bt rate, I don't have many positive things to say about the place. Yes, it's very clean and has a room safe. However, I don't care for the marble floors in the room and would prefer carpet. During "boom-boom" sessions the bed moves all about the room until one has it pinned up against the closet or such. It is also very small. I had little to no hot water, which didn't take much getting used to. It's stocked very nicely with various liquors/beers/snacks, but only my girl was helping herself. To each their own, but I think it's over-rated and prefer the Dynasty which is right around the corner. Bigger rooms with carpet and cheaper.

After settling in, I head out and around the corner to NEP. It's around 2:00pm and I go into the "Day and Night Bar" (I think that's the name) for a beer (well, that was the plan). It's somewhat busy here, about 40 or so customers with about 20 girls working here. SUK 22, RACHADA, CHINATOWN

In Sukumvit apart from Soi3,4,5,7,33 etc. there are also bars in Soi 22. The easiest to get there is to walk back a bit from Phrom Pong skytrain or walk from Asok (a bit longer). In Soi 22 there is Tina Bar which is a go-go.

It's very dark inside. Just as well because the girls are very ugly. However lots of guys seemed to be groping them despite of that. Just a year ago there were some beautiful chicks but not right now. But still, lot of guys seem to like them.

There is also a multitude of beer-bars on the main street and side sois. Although it was friday night they didn't seem to be busy at all (while Nana was packed!). The girls are really friendly but didn't notice any outstanding beauty. There are a few reasonable lookers but I suspect all have had kids. Drinks are cheap enough. Even in Tina bar 40 baht for a cola. Draft beer is 80 baht.

Later on also had a look at the Rachada Entertainment Area on Rachadapisek Road. Before the subway was built it was a two hour bus trip from Asok. Now it's about 10 minutes. Mostly Asians go there. The neon signs are in Thai, Chinese and Jap but not much in English. Also no go-gos, only karaoke, massage or the combination of the two. Farangs obviously have not discovered this area yet.

Take the subway from Sukhumvit (BTS Asok) to Huay Kwang or Suttisat (towards Bang Sue) . 4 and 5 stops. I got off at Huay Kwang first. Walked in to the first massage parlour on the left. The door girls seemed surprised to see a farang. There was a karaoke set up in one corner and opposite the usual fishbowl.

What about the girls? They were amazingly beautiful. Way above the usual farang standards. Nearly all had the looks of Asian fashion mags models, with their hair done, etc. Soon a very little thai man appeared and stated that "only traditional massage was available at 200B/2hrs and definitely no sex or extras". Which is BS since that 100 baht for the girl and 100 for the house for 2 hours wouldn't even cover their electricity bills.

Looking around the area, finally found a papasan who acted quite friendly. Spoke good English too. They had some really nice girls in the fishbowl for 1800 baht for 2 hours and part-timers outside the bowl for 2200/2 hours.

The part-timer chicks kept giggling and waving all the while. They were just regular thai girls. Some quite nice looking. Didn't stay this time but will be back I think. There are more parlours at Suttisat station. Theoretically it would be possible to walk between the two but I wouldn't recommend it as there is a long stretch of unlighted road and the area can be quite deserted at night. So take the train. I've only been to Eden Club once in my two visits to Thailand, but will certainly go again. It does exactly what it says on the label. You can get a far cheaper service with freelancers, and I did so on my last trip. But at the Eden, you don't have to waste your valuable vacation time searching. 500 bt tip per girl is about 12 dollars/10 euros/7 quid. How much do you tip in your home country? I just returned from my semi-annual BKK trip (getting tough to justify these trips with the boss ;-))

As usual, I stayed at Majestic Suites - still clean and girl-friendly, and very reasonably priced (1500 bahts for the deluxe double, including breakfast for 2).

Nana has gone downhill. The bars now close @ 1pm (sigh - I can remember when they used to stay open till the sun came up). The girls say that the BKK scene has dropped off enough that most tourists now go to Pattaya or Phuket.

Angelwitch still has an excellent show, and Playskool still plays great music, but everything else was worse than the last time (I visited last in Feb '04). The girls look even more bored, and most of the bars were fairly empty.

I was in BKK a few months ago and had an excellent time hanging out at CM2 in the basement of the Novatel Siam Square. Ok, first timer experience here;

I spent the night at the Majestic Suites Hotel and it is everything everyone has said it is. Girl friendly takes on new terms at this hotel with their security at the door and little green cards that they give to the girls in exchange for their I.D. cards. Decided on this trip to skip the regular Nana/ Eden/ Beergarden path and try something different, so I concentrated on the Soi 33 strip of 'art-themed' bars. Slightly more expensive than the Nana area, but you get what you pay for in the quality of the girls.

For those who don't already know, Soi 33 is about a mile up the Sukhumvit road from the Nana area, past the Asoke junction/ Soi Cowboy area. It's a strip of roughly a dozen bars, most of which have art-related names like Degas, Van Gough, Renoir, etc.

I visited roughly a half-dozen of the clubs while I was there. They range from small single-front places like Goya, to pretty glitzy joints like Dali or Christie's Club.

None of these places have go-go stages/ dancers like the Nana joints; this is the 'classier' kind of operation where the girls wear nice outfits - often themed - and sit down to drink with you or play pool. There's a definite scale to the places; the smaller ones are not so flash (verging on dingy) and have slightly less attractive hostesses who aren't as polished or speak English as well. These places are a notch above NEP, but aside from not having dancers and skimpy outfits they're really not that different.

The larger ones are nicely laid-out with classier hostesses in evening gowns who look better, and often speak much better English - as well as Japanese and even other languages.

Nutshell impressions of the ones I can recall. Personal impressions, of course, so YMMV:

Goya: Small, deathly quiet the night I was there. Big island bar, which the girls all stand behind. No seats other than at the bar, so almost all the interaction is across the bar counter. Mid-week there were around 6-8 girls working there, all dressed in cowboy-themed short-shorts, crop tops and bright red cowboy hats. The girls were okay; all quite tall-ish, slim and reasonable looking but no real stunners. Spoke normal Thai BG-standard English, but it was a bit hard to make conversation across the bar with the music blaring. Had one drink (a watery scotch) and left.

Van Gough: also one of the smaller ones, but a bit more lively the night I was there.

Renoir: a mid-sized place, in the same strip of terraced shoplots as Goya and Van Gough but twice as large. Serves pretty decent food, had roughly two dozen hostesses, couple of pool tables up the back and some comfy sofas next to the large picture window at the front overlooking the street- a good place to get comfortable, chat with a girl and watch the action outside. The hostesses were generally not stunning, but pleasant looking and seemed better-educated than the average Nana BG. Easy to converse with.

Dali: Big, quite flashy place with a number of pool tables and a pretty large number of hostesses. They wear elegant-looking floor-length gowns, but not all the girls can carry off the look convincingly. Seemed like an okay place but I didn't feel all that comfortable there for some reason so I moved on.

Christie's Club: One of the largest and flashiest places on the strip - a freestanding three-storey structure that's brightly lit on the outside, so you can't miss it. The night I was there the girls were dressed in a variety of short, tight but classy dresses, all either black or white, with high heels. A very nice look, especially when they were bending over the well-lit pool table to make a shot!
There are apparently around 50 girls working there. Even on quiet nights the place is pretty noisy thanks to all the chatter from the girls. Music isn't blaring, which is a nice change from many of the Nana joints.

Overall comments on the Soi 33 scene: drinks are more expensive than the Nana area obviously, but not hugely so. The places close at 2am, but I was told that the girls are allowed to leave after midnight if they want to, without charge. I didn't have to pay on either of the two nights I took girls out of there, so I don't know how much the barfines would be if you had to cough up.

Personally speaking, the girls seemed less pushy than in the Nana area. If you're polite, behave well and dress decently then they can be very good to you indeed. (hygiene! hygiene! Can't say it often enough - Thais are very particular about good hygiene.)

I hooked up with a nice girl from one of the bars the first night I dropped by Soi 33, and had a brilliant night (stretching into late the next morning) for 2000 baht. Went back the next evening and took her and a few of her friends out for a bite to eat after they finished work. The same girl came back with me that night without being asked, treated me even better than the night before, and insisted on buying me breakfast the next day! (Never encountered that in more than a decade of mongering across S-E Asia).

Later that day she calls up and insists that I *don't* come to the bar that evening, saying that the lady drinks are expensive and she doesn't want me to waste money. Just want let you guys know of my recent times in BKK.

Another report, not from BKK but some places I had traveled, so thought would just include here.

Have any of you guys visited any of the Ex Soviet countries around the Black Sea or Caspian Sea. If you ever get the chance go. The Russian girls living in these States are real good lookers. All work freelance, can pick them up in any bar – Which often are few and far between in the Muslim countries around there.

Yesterday (Dec. 5th) most places were closed when I arrived in BKK. I walked down Sukhumvit Rd. at about 2AM and the place was dead. It looked kind of sad. I bumped into a chap from England and he told me he was going to the cocktail lounge at his hotel (JW Marriot) for a couple of beers with his friends and asked if I wanted to join. I said what the heck, and joined him. When we got there, the cocktail lounge was closed, too. I thought about it and told him that I think the Grace Hotel Coffee Shop would be open. I got to BKK on time which was difficult but thanks to Cathay Pacific they took up the slack where Continental dropped the ball.

Got into BKK around 1230am, tired but not that tired. Some guy in the air port tried to get me to take a 700Bt "Limo Taxi" into town. No pharking way dude. I grabbed a cab at the stand and the dispatcher at the stand said they knew exactly where my hotel was (Hotel fortuna). My driver didn't know, but we got that worked out OK.

By 130am I had already checked in gotten a refrresher shower and was trying to contact Da & Am. Neither answered so I started to prowl the streets. This being my first trip to BKK I wasn't sure of the distances but knew which way to go.

I found Nana EP and Hotel in a minute along with all of the street vendors and other attractions. The NEP area was a zoo to say the best. I talked with a few Irish guys who were drunkered up and started to search out a lady. I just didn't see anything lurking that appealed so I widened my search area.

The Hotel Fortuna is on Suk soi 5 so after prowling the NEP area I headed back across Sukumvit Rd. You Brits are used to driving on the other side of the road but I took me a minute to get used to it. I was heading to Gullivers when I spied a young and cute little vixen, a short chat and I had her up to my room. Don't remember her name and never saw her again but she took care of business. I finally got to sleep around 4am.

I was going to go to Cambodia but a typhoon was heading through the PP area and I just didn't want to take a chance so I headed to Pattaya.

I had already sent some emails trying to reserve a room but hadn't gotten any replies. I decided to go anyways, I took a cab which cost me 850 bt plus tolls. I gave the guy a tip.

I got a room at the Residence Garden my first night. It's really nice, has two pools and a nice resturant. It's located on the far south end of town on the road to Joimtien beach.

I wasn't familure with the Bhat Bus set up so the staff helped me out. I had a map of town but it took me a few minutes to get my bearing. I took a bhat bus and it took me about 5 minutes to get to soi Diamond and 2nd Rd.

I went to Heaven Above Bar (Tony's friend from my 1st page of these reports owns the place). It's a really nice place, good looking girls, very clean. Right next door was a legit MP, got a great head and upper body massage for 200 bt for 1 hr. I headed down to walking street that evening and looked around. I did see the girl at Caroulsel, still no #. The girl I took home the night before wasn't working yet so I prowled.

I had sent out emails asking for hotel reservations three days in advance, never heard back but I wasn't going to let that hold me up. I got the impression he wasn't that familure with BKK as we got off the expressway way too soon. After many miles of inner city driving I could see the Nana and RaJah Hotels. I got the driver to keep heading towards them. Pretty quick I saw a small sign, Grand Inn. Got the guy to pull over, paid him and got a room.

The Grand Inn is a nice small hotel, guest friendly and very quiet. The rooms are small but not that small w/standard refridge set up, big bed and nice tub with adjustable shower.

The resturant was small but good, they always had a few current copies of English News Papers to read.

That evening I headed up to Annie's to see #6. Seems like she had gotten very popular, she was busy with a guy, had one waiting and then there was me. while this is my first trip to thailand, i have been a monger for many years. i arrived in bkk around midnight taking an american air carrier. the flight was from the east coast and long, but not as bad as i thought.

the airport was just like everyone described with the touts once you get by customs. the taxi driver tried not to use the meter, but i insisted. the first three nights of my stay were at the jw and they are truly girl friendly-no id checks either. the spa and services of the hotel are truly excellent but pricey.

As some of the previous WSG posts had mentioned, Karaoke is becoming more popular as a way to get around the new earlier legal closing time for bars. Thailand actually had the Karaoke clubs for years. I don't know what it is about the Thai men that they want to sing songs and drink with the girls before bar fining them. Most of those clubs did have some really good looking girls and they were generally more intelligent than the upcountry types found at the go go bars. You paid a far greater price for the conversation and company but it was mostly middle and upper class Thais and they did not mind paying the bill for the fun of singing along with some hot chicks and drinking themselves silly.

You look at the menu of a long list of songs with the girls and select ones that all of you kind of know. It is almost like a drinking game as the more you drink the more mistakes you make on the songs but it is all laughs and that is what is important for the boys night away from their girlfriends and spouses.

The average mongerer considers this type of palce a huge waste of time and money but you may want to get 3 or 4 of the guys and try it sometime. That may prove impossible as a mongerer will want to see the girl, pay the fine and then FFFF. Reference this activity as "Thai Style."

A second activity rarely undertaken by mongerers is to take a girl from the seating area in the larger Massage Parlors and have a couple of drinks with her in the night club area while listening to the singer or band playing that night. Spend about 30 to 40 minutes on this activity. Thai Style also. This may sound stupid, but the theory is that you get to spend some quality time with the girl and therefore have more of a GFE when you take her up to the room. I know...most WSG members will say that this is BS. It is what they do. You do what you want..."up to you."

Many of the better Karaoke clubs do not have a huge signs outside like Soi Cowboy or Nana. Ask the front dest of any of the better hotels and someone will know of these places because there are many in Bangkok.

Beware: if you go with Thai friends, they will get you so shit faced at the Karaoke club that you can't remember your name, much less take a girl back to the hotel. Given the fact that drinks and the facilities are fairly expensive, by Thai standards, they are giving you the VIP treatment by getting you drunk there. For those of you on business trips this may be up your alley. If your Thai business associate does not take you to the Karaoke club, you may alternately go to the members only coctail lounge where there may also be Karaoke. This is not nearly as fun as the places I mentioned above but some do have hot looking girls in very classy outfits and you can barfine them too.

The MPs and Go Go bars are the nectar of the expat community, but the traditional Karaoke clubs are worth a try. Think of Karaoke as the Grand Palace, Ayuttaya, and Floating Market tours. You go to several of them during your vacation and then you go to another place and have your Johnson taken care of later that night. Ah! Culture and relaxation!

Nice review Alexander. I don't disagree with it. It's too bad I never witnessed half the things you mentioned. I haven't been going to Thailand for very long. My first trip was in October 2001 Gee... a whole three years ago.

Maybe it's a good thing that I never got to see the heyday. I might have liked it too much.

It's been about six months since I took a girl (picture at bottom of post) from NEP and she wanted and got her 1,500 Baht. Hell, it was difficult to get her down from 2,000. I gave up on the place after that. I won't say I'll never try it again, but I think the freelancers are a better bet in both looks and price these days.

It's boring in Dallas. I do even less here than I do in Bangkok. I watch TV and drink coffee while writing bandwidth killing comments on WSG day after day. I have gone to a few strip clubs but they are now too boring for me to be entertained. Well... that is a half truth. I do get a laugh or three watching the girls interacting with the men.

In a previous post I admitted that the honey in Thailand was a draw for me and I stand by that comment. But the biggest draw was that everything is cheap if you are spending in dollars. That could very well change and it will be a result of the afore mentioned baby boomers that have taken out second mortgages to pay off their credit cards. The T-bill will one day lose it's triple A rating I am afraid to say.

When I got laid off I decided that maybe it was time to retire or at least semi-retire. I could not do that living in America and have enough money to have fun. Therefore Thailand was a reasonable option. It still is.

Now it is night and I am drinking a scotch and I am still wasting bandwidth on WSG writing this message from me to you.

I suppose I could go out and find a regular bar and try to pick up a girl. Naw, I am now too ruined for that. Thailand (and other places once you've been to them) ruins a man so that he can no longer attempt the normal venues for finding a girl.

Public Transport in Bangkok

This will help the newcomers but possibly no news to most regulars

'How to get around to Bangkok's Pussy Venues'

Assuming that you are located near the Nana area on Sukhumvit Road (where else would you be?), this is how you can get to the other pussy areas most easily.

Hint:
Always use either the Skytrain (BTS) or Subway whenever possible. Regular surface roads are hopelessly congested. An accident or similar event can happen any time that will make even the shortest trip to be hours by taxi (eg. taxi from Soi Cowboy back to your hotel at Nana can be anywhere from 40 baht to 140 baht, depending on traffic).

So, you are based at around Nana (Sukhumvit Soi3, 4, 5, 7, 7/1, 11, 8 have many hotels and guest-houses ranging from 400 baht to 4000 baht).

You will use the Nana BTS (Skytrain) station as starting point. BTS operates until midnight! Fares 10B-40B. Subway fares 10B-25B.
