I think the people walking by your room on the street are the ones that need a heads up! Bathrooms at almost all the Zona hotels are fine. Plus if you ask they will let you check out the room first, run the spigots and flush the toilet.

Taxis five bucks to get in. Day or night. Make sure you hop in the front seat. Also make sure they know you won't pay more than 5 bucks. Just say "five dollars Adelitas"....if the guy balks go to the next one. You can get the girls cheaper when it's slow but Saturday during the days aren't that slow.

Nik – I’ll tell you that if are only going to TJ and you don’t get a rental car you will be better off. Go catch the city bus (near the beginning of terminal 1, between 1&2 and at the end of terminal 2 for a cheap way to get to America Plaza trolley stop. The bus ticket ($2,25 IIRC) is good all the way to the border. Once there you have 2 options - up and over the overpass bridge and then walk into Mexico across the pedestrian bridge (walk the whole way), take a cab from the taxi station right after you cross into TJ or take the bus ove (from the trolley stop on the US side) for $1.25 to Revolucion and 8th (maybe not as far – 4th or so - depending which bus line you are on) Saturday AM… pick ‘em .
Anyway, pick a hotel in the Zona – most of them are OK, some are better than others. Plumbing seems to be OK but the showers might have a bit lower water pressure than you are used to. The biggest toilet problem is a broken seat (usually). When you go back allow extra time to get thru the US crossing hassle unless like at about 4am or so. It can take upwards of 2 hours depending on amount of (foot) traffic. If you've done this before and I'm posting "old news", lo siento. feliz chingan. Stay safe

$150 does not last me long. I usually take about $400. When I get home and survey the damage. Usually $200 minimum.

Hurricane. TJ is a pretty cheap place to do business but a $150 budget for an entire weekend won't be easy. If you manage, itemize your expenses in a report. I'm a cheap ass bastard and would like to see how it's done!
Went to TJ Friday. Checked out AB and although it was packed, I saw fewer hotties there than the previous 2 times I went. Crossed over to CC and as mentioned previously, it was hottie central. The border is open 24/7 and so as Deja Vu, but if you go between 6-11PM that is the best time for the parlor because night shift starts at 5. One time I went during the day and they only had 4 girls but I went after 5 and they had like 20+. You can take a taxi cab to this place or you can walk but I strongly recommend taking a cab.
Well if you get there around 6pm I don't think there will be a problem walking to the zona.

Las Chavelas is a club located about half a block down from AB, towards Ninos Heroes.
It's owned by the Miami/HongKong/Tropical/La Tropa group.
Like those others (except HK is a strip club only) it's a regular zona club that has strippers periodically throughout the day/night with regular dancing the rest of the time.

Cascadas is $29 per night. Rooms are very small, but clean. Get there early (around 1:30pm) to get a room on the weekend. They go fast.
PS They don't rent all of their rooms by the night because of the 30 minute contigo al cuarto (go to the room) with chicas.
The room I had did have a TV with a porn channel. Course, if that's all you wanna do in the Zona Norte may as well stay home. :)

Hello, need info on the current LE in TJ. I have been going to TJ for the last 18 years and it wasn't until my last trip that I was hassled by the cops. Greetings - hit TJ yesterday for a mid-day double. First stop was a SW (Maria) on the street on the way to Adelita's- hot little body. $20 for her ...$4 for the room...$1 for the cleaning boy. FS - first doggy then missionary. Fun but no fireworks.

That's 7th and Revolucion, if you're going to be in that area don't waste your time at the AM/PM if you're looking for good coffee. Go the coffee shop near Mexico Lindo, across the street from Hotel Leon. It's on 7th between Revo and Constitucion. Excellent selection of coffees and pastries. I forget the name, but I think they are trying for a European type experience.

Yes this is a very real concern. You're pretty safe at AB and CC, in fact almost all of the clubs in the Zona are safe except the ones on the Kinkle side of the street on Ninos Heroes. On Revo a number of the clubs have he/she's. Be very careful. Also many of the chico/chicas have a lot more income than you realize and can afford the surgery. Many appear to be "correct" in the crotch area. Being slim is probably the worst criteria you can go by, many "real" chicanas tend be a little ample. The joke is you can tell which ones are the boys, they're the pretty ones.

The coffee shop near the Mexicoach is Cafe Francais or name similar to that. It's got a big shingle so you shouldn't have a problem finding it. Another all night place besides Sanborn's for coffee is Ricardo's. It really isn't a coffee joint but is a good place to get bad coffee should you feel the need for caffeine. I don't like shopping the AM/PM there since one of the girls assumed I didn't know the Mexican money system and tried to short me SEVERELY when I paid with a 200 peso bill for an Arizona Ice Tea. Luckily the guy working with her gave up the change when I complained.
The internet cafe (open 24/7) on 2nd across the street from BanaMex serves a decent espresso. Inrternet prices there are about a dollar an hour and they prorate. Plenty of terminals upstairs with a privacy curtains so you can cruise the porno sites discreetly.
There are a few other places to get coffee whose exact location I can't remember but the next time I am down there I'll jot them down for another posting. ANything to help a brother out in the war zone!

I am going down to TJ from LA for some "chingadera" this Saturday. Usually I stay south of the border from 10 pm to around 2-3 AM Sunday morning and then drive back to LA. I don't want to miss the World Cup Final, which starts at 3:30 AM (local time). Do they televise the World Cup Soccer matches live at Adelitas, Chicago or other bars in the nearby area that late at night/dawn?

Cool - Ninos Heros is a street, Kinkle is a place. as I call it 'Ho Alley is a short street running between Constitucion and Ninos Heros (never bothered learning the real name). Assuming you were going from C to NH, when you get to the end of the calle (street) where you DON'T want to be is on the other side of NH down and to the right (the BAR is KINKLE - fags and TVs. I think the other bars 2 or 3 on either side of K's are also fag stops. I was down there when the US played Mexico and it was pretty amazing to see the whole place be turned into a sports bar. No music blarring or chicas dancing(exept at halftime). I almost didn't believe where I was at. Just don't expect to many chicas to be working. Most of them go home between 3 and 4.And the ones that do stay will probably be hanging out to watch the game.

Regarding the dreaded knock. I am pretty new to the sporting life in TJ. I took the advice of board members and stuck to AB and CC until I got more familiar with the place. Though I am not a seasoned veteran yet, I plan on exploring the further reaches of TJ but these two clubs really helped me get my feet wet in a good way.
If you are travelling alone I also suggest you stay in and around these clubs (AB & CC). The action is straight up. Between 40 and 60 bucks (some CC girls start off asking for 70 but I believe their really fishing for a big sucker) depending on the girl and your bargaining powers. The lowest I have paid is 50 since the girls that were willing to give it up to me for 40 didn't really suit me. I also found out that I, for one, should not be bargaining with anyone I don't plan spending time with. Too many problems trying to brush them off after you've spent ten minutes in negotiations and they come to your terms.
There is a good variety available at both clubs.. It will depend on your taste as to what is beautiful and what is not. I am sure you'll be able to hook up with something you will like in looks. It may take a while to score the perfect playmate but it's all fun and games, right?

Be careful taking Viagra. I suggest you buy a 100 mg pill (the 50 mg and 100 mg cost the same) and break it up into 25 mg pieces. Start out with 25 mg and increase the dosage if it doesn't work. Your other info is correct, however the quote below is not exactly correct. Pills are made in such a way that the actual medication may be only in a small area inside the pill. If a pill is scored (meaning a small indentation across the pill) then it can be cut in half and you will have half a dose. If the pill is not scored then it really can't be cut into smaller dosages.
Viagra, unfortunately, does not happen to score their pills. Meaning if you cut it in quarters one section will have the whole dose and the other sections will be placebo.

Chicago is also open early (about noon) but you won't seen any good action until mid-evening (8 or 9... sometimes even later).
Some of the other fellas can give a better report on some of the lesser known joints. I've been to a few but didn't see much going on in the daylight.
Another decent afternoon place is about 50 feet to the west of Adelitas (same side of street). It is called Las Chavelas. They have strip shows at noon, 3:30p and 7p that last about an hour. In between you get music to dance.

Went on my first Tijuana trip this weekend - what an experience! Walked across the border and got a cab direct to Adelita's. I saw the "Hotel" sign right next to the club, with hookers and guys going in when the cab pulled up. I thought "This is going to be allright!". In case you were there, I had a backpack and was wearing a white shirt. The times I have been in Monte Carlo (the last time 3 months ago) they have had about 10 girls and all of them pretty hot. Price-wise, it is almost the same as and hour with an AB girl (80-100 for the girl and 22 bucks for the room).
The screwing sometimes isn't as good as you want since there is no bed.... its that massage table but if you are adventurous you can still get pretty wild.
At AB, there is a dancer there named Gloria who woorks out at the gym. I haven't done her but she's very pretty and very solid. She has short hair is everyone knows her there.

I will be back in TJ Sunday night, at which time I thought we would hit the Zona Norte and visit AB and CC for the full ZN experience. On Friday, though, I thought I would hit the massage parlors. Most of the time Fridays are hell trying to get back into the US during the afternoon and afterwards. You will be cutting it close. If you can get to TJ early then do it. Some of the MP like Monte Carlo are open at 10:00 AM. 5th Avenue, I believe is also open around that time, maybe 11 and the 2 or three on 8th street (West side of Revolution) should also be open.
You may want to hold off until Sunday for the all day experience. Hit the MP's early. Hit the Zona in the middle of the afternoon for SW or AB action. Go rest in your hotel room then return in the evening. CC doesn't heat up until later so you can try HK, AB and the other bars as well as the night SW before hitting CC. If nothing suits you, you can always start doing the MP circuit again.
Went to the Zone again on Saturday. Had a good time. Arrived about 4 pm. I made a deal with myself that I would explore the area for a few hours before looking for any action. I had a really good time. They were celebrating the TJ 113 year aniversary and I listened to the band and ate dinner near the big arch. I talked with some people and really got a better sense of the culture.
Got to see a taco stand guy get in a fight with someone, that was cool. Saw a bunch of street kids pretend fighting in the middle of the intersection between AB and CC. Don't know how they avoid being killed by the taxi drivers. It was all fun and games until one kid pissed on the others head and they all ran off!
Then I went to CC around 9pm and met Roxanna. I had seen her before, she looks like a spoiled little teenager with an attitude and even though I really thought she was cute, I avoided her. Hunter, I haven't been to Executive but all the MPs in TJ that I have been to let you see who's working the shift that isn't already occupied with a client. At Mermaids, GQ and 5th Ave they are just hanging out, sitting down, reading, watching TV (5th Ave) or just snoozing. At Monte Carlo they aren't anywhere in sight but if you ask to see them they all come out like a beauty pageant, come up to you, state their name, and do a little dance... at least that's what they did until I got to know a couple of them. I haven't been down to TJ in a while but I don't think it could have changed that much. The girls at MC are pretty hot but the actual sex experience has been better at the clubs for me. Of the 2 major clubs, the CC girls look better (IMHO) but aren't as friendly as AB girls and don't fuck as well either. YMMV. SInce you are new, stay away from the other clubs until you get to know the area better. You'll end up spending a lot of money for cheese platters if you don't know what's up. And, when they short change you you better shut up or they'll slap you around whether you're Asian or not. Once you become a TJ wiseguy this shouldn't happen but in the mean time, stick to the places where these kinds of practices don't happen much.

Hey everyone- I have been wanting to go south for a quick sampling but the border waits have been prohibitive for me since home and work commitments only allow me a few weekday hours at a time. The bikes are five bucks and usually you can breeze through fater than standing in line but that is not always the case either. Sometimes it gets backlogged as well.
If the line is long, I walk up to the first bus waiting to enter the SENTRI port. They usually cost a dollar but one [luxury) bus charged me 2 bucks.
WHen you do this the bus will wait in line with other buses which make the wait time for you pretty short. Then the only other line you stand in is the check point with the other passengers on your bus only.
Even if the wait reaches an hour you still would have beaten the foot traffic plus you can be sitting down, drinking water or sleeping instead of fighting off a heat stroke.

You probably couldn't pick a worse place than AB on a Saturday night to hook up with other guys. You'll never find each other in that madhouse.
I suggest you pick a slower club, maybe one that's not that noisy and meet there at a certain time. Then move on. Some place like the Manhattan Club or La Tropa. They're a little off the beaten path so some of the guys might be reluctant to go there.
CC earlier in the evening might be a good choice as it doesn't get busy till after 9pm or so, even on a Saturday.

I agree with the previous post that trying to hook up with a group at AB on a Saturday is not the best idea in the world because the place is a zoo... It's hard to even breathe when it's peaking.
If you hit it in the early afternoon you will probably do yourself good since it won't be thrash pit it becomes in the evening.

Anyway, B-Bone...try Thursdays. Many of the girls that will be there on the weekend work on Thursdays also. There have been many posts in the past concerning this. Anytime after 2 in the afternoon should have a good number of girls there. Thursdays aren't that crowded and it is easier to bargain down the girls. On Fridays and Saturdays you usually gotta go with the 50/60 since the girls can get that.Also, since there aren't as many customers on Thursdays, there is less of a chance that the girl you choose will be all fucked out by the time you get her.

if you are going to spend any time in tj it's a good idea to do some money management. a money belt is not necessary, but good insurance. spread your money around, separate from your wallet. wear clothes with lots of pockets. small bills is a good idea. ab is generally low risk, but i have had my pocket picked there. other places in zn, such as the kinkle area, are as bad as rev which is much more of a problem - both in the clubs & on the street. be careful of anyone getting too close too fast, like little girls trying to sell you flowers.

Hacienda in Playas is a half hour drive to La Zona Rosa. It is a nice hotel but not in the neighborhood. You can take girls there but I don't think any operate out of there. There is a bar but like I said it isn't really that type of joint.

You need to have some sort of id on you in TJ as well. You might want to create a second wallet just for the purpose of taking to TJ. If you're a Californian you can get another id from the DMV. Figure eventually you'll get shaken down to some degree by the cops down there and you never know when you'll be asked to show your id at the border.
I keep my wallet and stuff in my front pocket, it's harder for pickpockets to get at.
Lots of guys use moneybelts as well, available at almost any of the places on Revolucion where they sell belts.

I was a little confused also when I first read your original post. So where do you put your ID? You said you put 30-40 in your pocket and the rest in your sock. But I assume that an ID can easily get lost just sitting loose in your pocket. Do you have a special way of keeping it safe, so that it can be used at the border if needed? Do you take your actual Drivers license or do you have a DMV ID card? I always worry about loosing my driver's license if I were to take it across the border, then get assed out when I needed to use it.

Five guys from Los Angeles.
Parked our car on the U.S. side of the border and walked to the other side. We hailed a taxicab, which took us to Adelita Bar (AB) at about 2 - 3 pm. Some of us immediately did what had to be done (the main reason for our visit). Later, we decided to check out the other clubs, and went bar-hopping on Zona Norte. Visited Chicago Club (CC), Las Chavelas (LC), La Tropa, Tropical, and also scoped out the street walkers (SW) which made us realize that some of them really looked good.
The big crowd in Adelita’s made it look like the only party in town, all the other club/bars were dead. After a short tour of the other bars and checking out the street scene, we returned to Adelita for the rest of the evening and enjoyed more of the AB chicas.

I always take a photo copy of my Passport. Then, if I get mugged and lose my Driver's license I've got backup. Actually, I've asked a INS official at the border what would happen if I had no ID. He said if I've got the number of my passport, or worst case the number from my CDL, they would handle it.

But I assume that an ID can easily get lost just sitting loose in your pocket. Do you have a special way of keeping it safe, so that it can be used at the border if needed? Do you take your actual Drivers license or do you have a DMV ID card?
Yes... you do need IDENTIFICATION when you go into Mexico for 1. crossing back into the States and 2. any spot ID checks by the local policia. If you lose your ID and are at the checkpoint, explain to them you lost it. They will questions you first at the check point then send you to a secondary area... the same place where they pat down suspected drug runners and illegal crossers. It may take a while, but when you come up with the right answers to the questions they ask and they are ablke to confirm it, you'll be able to get back into the States... this happened to me last week when I got pick pocketed on Revolucion.

We were in TJ a few weeks ago for three days. We were there mostly to hang out and party, but as experienced sex tourist we decided to check out the local scene. We like to roam during the day because nighttime is usually way too busy.
We hit CC in the late afternoon and the place was dead. All we found was two nasty girls, high pressure attempting to get us to go to their room. We refused and they called us names and gave us the finger.
Went to Adelitas and found a way better atmosphere. Lots of pretty girls of all shapes and sizes. Drinks aren’t too bad, but stick with beer. I met a girl and we struck up a conversation and talked for a while as I drank my ass off. I asked her how much and she said the usual 70 bucks.

As far as walking around in TJ at night, don’t be stupid. I always see wasted Americans wandering around not being aware of their surroundings. Walk with a buddy or keep you head on a swivel. If you want really good well prepared Mexican food go anywhere in the states besides fast food crap like Taco Bell and Del Taco and you can find good Mexican food. So forget about hitting up the restaurant type stuff in TJ, if you want a really good taco hit the corner side stuff it may be an ecoli carne asada taco but they go for $.50 and they are damn tasty, so when you work up the appetite (and trust me you will) stop for 3 minutes pile $3.00 worth in you face and keep going! LET’S GO, LET’S GO, there are places to go and young girls to hump.
You also have the Pharmacies all over in TJ so if your into some pain relief or do enough searching you can come across some pretty strong drugs, if you can also save on drugs like Viagra and prescription drugs you can find in the states except you don’t need a prescription and it sells for half the price. No Marijuana though, which kind of sucks but hey I will save that for the Amsterdam discussion board. OK, this forum isn’t about drugs so enough of this shit on to the good stuff.
If you want my advice as soon as you get across the border you’ll see a bunch of Taxi’s grab the first guy you see and tell him Chicago’s or Adelita Bar, should cost around $5.00. If you want to walk go ahead but I am a fatass and I would rather save the energy for other activities. Once you get to your destination head in to both CC and/or AB and see what they are all about. The walk to Zona Norte takes about 10-15 minutes from the time you cross the border.
After you cross the border gates go past the taxi's and continue straight ahead past all the pharmacies. Keep going to the pedestrian bridge and cross over it. When you reach the end make a right and follow the signs to Revolutione. Cross Revolutione and continue 2 blocks...the first is Constitution and the second is Ninos Heros. Right on Ninos Heros and you'll pass all the SW's. Walk around and you'll find AB and CC.
A good marker for Zona Norte is the large (huge) arch. Zona Norte is about 2 blocks beyond the arch.
If you go back to Revolutione and start walking downtown to the tourist areas you'll find lot's of clubs and bars. Read previous posts on the ones to avoid.
If it ever dark, going or coming...take a cab.
Also if any of you find the "new" Guadulupe" that I mentioned in a previous post, let us know what you think of her.
I have a couple of questions. I've been to Tj before so the night life isn't that new to me. I have some questions about the other "clubs" in the red zone though. I've been to AB and CC, can't say i ever find anything great in CC though. I'm kind of curious about the other clubs, like La tropa and what not. Are they the same things? Prices same or less? How about any good MPs I've been to a couple but couldn't tell you the names. Only one good experience at one and I was too drunk to remember where it was at. I'll be bouncing to Tj in a couple of weeks and am trying to find out where I should spend some money! thanks

Parking is just $7 on the US side. Coming down 805 take the last exit before the border. At the light go across the street and park in the lot on the right (the only one). There is a gate at the East end of the parking lot, by the Duty Free Shop, that leads right to the border. I have parked there many times without any problems.

I was in TJ last August (pre-9/11) and while I had a great time, it would have been so much better if I had found this forum then. I want to make the most of my second visit. I am trying to plan a few adventures prior to my departure on Friday evening from the SD Airport. I want to make it to my flight on time, so I'm trying to figure out how I can do that and also play a couple of times before I depart. So here is what I think is possible. I believe I'm being pretty conservative, but I would like to verify my thoughts. Here is what I think is a schedule that will allow me to take advantage of my last day in TJ and still make my flight Friday night. I want to play twice before I depart TJ. My proposed schedule goes back in time.

1. Do I need to take a taxi to Deja Vu or can I walk? Should I even bother with an MP this early in the morning. Am I better off just looking for a SW? Are SWs out at noon?
2. Mr. Pinky in a 7/18 post suggested that you can jump on one of the buses at the front of line at the border crossing for $1 or $2 and cross quicker and more comfortably than standing in line. Are the bus drivers willing to let you in if you knock on the door? If this works, it seems like a lot more fun than standing in a hot line for an hour and a half like I did during my previous visit.
3. Where is the trolley station relative to the border and how long does it take for the trolley to get to the stop where you can catch the bus to the airport. Which stop is it?
4. Where can I find the bus schedules from the trolley to the Airport. How long is the bus ride?
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
If anyone of you is in TJ while I am there, I will buy the cervesas! How much can you drink!!!

Despite the fact that this TJ forum is new, I have been able to extract some information concerning some hotels located in the Zona Rosa. I am going to me joined by three amigos Wednesday night. As I will be arriving several hours before they do, I have agreed to do a little research concerning local hotels that meet the following requirements. 1.) Hotels where we can bring girls from the bars (e.g., AD and CC) to our rooms where the girls would actually be willing to join us. 2.) Hotels that are cheap.
Based upon a bit of research from your posts (and information from some friends), I have come up with the following group of hotels. I expect the rooms to be small and the noise to be practically unbearable. I am going to visit the following "establishments" and when my friends arrive suggest the two or three best alternatives for us all to visit again at 11 PM. Good luck with getting new photos on the board. There are currently only 5 photos from Mexico and I submitted 4 of them earlier this year before the new board came up. I also submitted some new ones, but they never showed. I guess Jackson has been a little too busy with something else.
There is another site tjmongers on yahoo that has pictures although I haven't tried to load any new ones to it so far.
I hope you can work something out, because I sure would like to see some new pictures.

it is true. ab is strict checking id. if you are under 18 and cannot produce a good fake id your butt ain't getting in. i haven't noticed them being strict about it at cc.
a great example of ab's policy about minors and a group of young gringoes about a month ago. three guys try to go in. two pass inspection but the third claims he left his id at the hotel. no puede for him. what do his friends do? they go in of course! so this last guy spend the longest time complaining to the doorman to let him in cuz his peeps be in the joint. no way. i was out there for about 30 minutes waiting to sober up before returning back home and the dude was still crying. his friends? still lost in the ab whirlpool!

The real struggle is getting the girl out of the work area. Some will do it, others won't and usually won't with someone unfamiliar to them If you can get them to go them almost all of the places will have no problems with you taking a girl to your room, especially the better ones (outside the zona) like Nelson, Zaragoza, Pueblo Amigo. Some Zona Hotels like Cascadas have a one girl limit. Others like Leyva have a curfew of 9 PM for visitors.
Coahuila is now 35 plus 5 for a key deposit (if they can find one.)
Leyva is 22 plus 2 for key deposit.
Cascadas is 29 plus 10 for a key deposit.
No info on Jalos since I've only done short times there.
I pay with a credit card at Zaragoza and Pueblo AMigo but I think a cash deposit of 5 bucks is required for the key if you don't use a credit card.
I have never been in a Zona Hotel that had air conditioning.

Remember that Zaragoza, Nelson and Amigo are not Zona Hotels. They have everything most US hotels have. The only difference is Nelson doesn't have AC.

Nelson is about 40 bucks. Zaragoza rooms start around 50 now.. yeah, a little bit higher. I havn't been to the Pueblo Amigo in quite a while now but it is probably just over a hundred right now.
For an exotic Mexican dining experience (Cocina Alta) try Cien Anos in Zona Rio. They serve very good and sometimes "strange" Mexican cuisine like roasted insect larvae and corn rust.
You can check your e-mail at one of the many internet cafes in Centro. There is one right next door to Zaragoza.

The "Tradicional" rooms at La Villa Zaragoza start at around 42-43 dollars depending on the value of the peso (or more accurately the value of the dollar).

The one near La Villa is over a mile away from the Zona and a bit pricier than most of the others. The best IMNSHO at this time is the Internet Cafe on Revolucion between 2nd and 3rd. Fairly quick connection, close to the Zona, only 10 pesos or 1.10 for an hour, open 24 hours and they allowed me to share the station with somebody I was showing how to use e-mail. Many of the other internet stations will balk at the thought of sharing a station.

Thanks for good info on Zaragoza. I've been there twice ann only the 50 and 85 dollars rooms were available. I used the internet cafe there cuz it's next door. When I satyed at the Nelson I used the cafe across the street from the Azteca MP. It is only 50 cents an hour from 8-11 AM. They also sell snacks to eat and allow you to see adult sites. The one you describe on Revolucion has stickers on the terminals that say NO PORNO. I wasn't able to log onto the WSG Forum site even though it isn't really porno. I don't know if it was because of their filter or a downed server.

Don't take this wrong but you may want to stay away from AB and CC during the busy times because you won't be able to see much and it will probably be very uncomfortable for you. If there one thing that is going on in TJ right now is that most nights there is less work for the girls than there has been in the past. I have talked to a few of the girls about this and witnessed it for myself recently. Now, I figure the girls should be smart enough to realize that a guaranteed 40 is better than losing out altogether. When I arrived in TJ at around 6:00 PM on Wednesday, my first objective was to do a bit of research on hotels. I had three friends "juegan mas tarde" around 11:30 PM. I wanted to find a cheap place to stay for all of us that was comfortable, cheap and where I (we) could bring girls to our room for some play time.
I looked at five hotels before deciding upon Las Chevalas Cascades. After one night at Las Chavelas Cascades I switched to Las Cascades Miami. Here is what I learned after viewing the rooms and getting price quotes for each establishment.
La Villa Zaragoza. Madera 1120 Btwn 7th and 8th.
$50 for very nice room with AC and TV and parking. Only had 4 rooms left at 6:30 PM. Fills up quickly. A real hike from the zone. Will allow you to bring girls to room, but I doubt that many would go for it without lot of extra compensation. At night, a taxi would be necessary to commute between the zone and the room for safety reasons.
Ceasars Hotel. Revolution 1079 at 5th.
$35 w/TV and no AC. Girls ok, but, still a bit of a hike. Old place with lots of history (Ceasar salad was invented in the restaurant next door.) Rooms are ok, but the place is sorely in need of renovation.
Lafayette Hotel. Revolution (BTWN 3rd and 4th).
$29 No TV or AC. I just didn't like the feel of the place and its staff. I did not look at the room.
Hotel Nelson. Revolution 721 @ 1st.
$40 bucks with decent rooms TV and view. No AC.
Nice quiet place and close to the action, but I still feel that getting girls to go there would be difficult at best. Nice place for meals on ground floor.
Cascades de Las Chavelas. Cohuila next door to Las Chavelas.
$29 for small room with TV and no AC. Unlimited girls allowed and some will come to your room. Has rooms for the Las Chavelas girls and SW to use on the bottom floor. The service here is awful. They are banging on your doors every 15 minutes to see if they can clean your room starting at 8 AM. Without AC the room was fine for sleeping, but with a girl expect to be drenched in sweat.

$29 for small room with TV and AC. One girl per night allowed in room unless you develop a relationship with the front desk personel (if yes, bring as many girls as you want). Same building and rooms as Cascades de Las Chevalas, but different entrance. It is cleaner and quieter. Staff is helpful, but hey its TJ. You need to be patient. You might freeze in this place at night, the AC works too well. Of all the places I visited, this is the place I would recommend.
AB Hotel (Cohuila?) Next door to AB on Cohuila. This is the place where the AB girls will take you. The staff will start banging on your door 20 minutes after you enter the room and continue the banging every minute until you give up and depart. They are relentless. I used the establishment 3 times. With the exception of the last time (when the lady told the guy at the desk something), I felt that I was harrassed by the staff. When I asked the guy at the desk after my second session and he looked at the time I checked in, he smiled at me and told me, "Si, no es bueno." Try to avoid this place or tip the jerk at the desk before you go to el cuarto.
My Spanish really sucks.
But here are the phrases I used to ask about the rooms.
Tiene cuartos por este noche? (Do you have any rooms for this night?)
Cuatas cuesta? (How much?)
Puedo ver el cuarto? (Can I see the room?)

How to get to TJ border via City Bus and Trolley from airport for $2.25 within 1 hour.
If you are flying to San Diego and want to make it to the border cheaply and relatively quick, here is what you can do.
Look for the signs in the airport that direct you to the City Bus pick up point outside the terminal. The bus stop has a vertical sign with a graphic of a bus in blue and a big map below. Buses come every ten minutes. You will need $2.25 exact change. The ticket is good for both the bus ride and the trolley to the border. The bus ride takes 15 minutes max to the Transfer Station (America Plaza?) in downtown San Diego. Once you exit the bus cross the street and enter the large open-air station to catch the trolley to the border. The trolleys come every 4 minutes or so. Make sure you board a San Ysidro/Tijuana trolley. About 35 minutes later, you will exit at the last stop. The border crossing is at the front of the train. Cross the street, go right and enter the walkway that takes you across the highway towards the border.

You also mentioned the LC (Coahuila) side had rooms for SW (actually the more common term is SG "street girls"). First I've heard of that. In fact the Coahuila side never had a first floor. The stairs at the entrance take you directly to the 3rd floor (or was it the 2nd? Now I'm doubting myself!). There are no Street Girls on Calle Coahuila. On the alley side (Callejon Coahuila), what you call "Miami LC", there are special short time rooms used by the streetgirls as well as the girls of Miami and HK.

Actually it's MaderO. The lowest priced rooms are the Tradicionals but they do fill up fast...those are in the lower 40's in price. It's about a mile and a half from the Zona. Your best bets for La Villa are Isis, Unicornio and Mexico Lindo. Make sure you register for two. The deals between you and the girls in the Zona are very subjective. Some will go places like La Villa at no more money than you'd pay at AB/CC others will want 200 bucks.
I think it's a bit of overkill to say a Taxi is "necessary" for safety reasons. If you're a person who's comfortable walking in any major city it's no big deal. In fact Revolucion is as safe as anywhere. If you look like a real potential victim I would recommend staying off of Articulo 123 between Revolucion and Constitucion but that's the only spot. Again, if you're reasonably street smart even that one block is no big deal.

Coahuila. There are strategies to working this place, forget it if it's a Friday or Saturday night. You cannot avoid this place if you're going to go with AB girls, and if you're a newby AB is probably the only place you'll hook up....maybe CC.
Also don't just blame the staff, the girls can communicate when they want a knock as well.

Before I respond to your comments, I must tell you that your posts along with the posts of a couple of others from the last several months were exceptionally informative. This was just my second trip, but reviewing the posts on this board let me enter the Zona feeling like a semi-pro. My responses to your comments are based upon my experiences from last night and the night before. I ackowledge that I am a newbie to the TJ scene. Again, this was just my second visit. I'm simply sharing my experience.

I guess everyone in Cascades Las Cavelas pissed off the staff. They did not just bang on my door. The door banging went from room to room down my hallway. This of course made it all the more annoying.

I did not know about the opposition between the two factions. I did have two AB girls and one SG come to my Cascades room. One AB girl cost me nothing (she slipped out the door behind me), the other cost me $21 to get her out the door at 3 AM for an overnight session. The second girl was worth the extra money and maybe a bit more.

Your right! The rooms the girls use is on the second floor down the hall opposite the front desk in Coahuila. I am not doubting your experiences in TJ, but there were at least 10 SGs on Coahuila on Wednesday and Thursday evening. My three friends will verify that.

I love talking with the girls. Some are hard, but others break down and love to talk if you show them that you are interested in them as a person and not just a piece of meat. Two of the AD girls I went with went way above the requirements of our proposed session. All I did was to show interest in them and their lives. Some of these ladies are truly precious. I was lucky enough to meet a couple of them.

I agree. But, I did not want to suggest that potential victims take the walk. I feel incredibly comfortable in TJ. But, I avoid getting totally shit faced and avoid those areas where I feel uncomfortable. I do that in SF also. It just takes a bit of common sense. You and I know that there are a few guys that don't have experience dealing with potentially dangerous situations. I love the walk from the border and personally, I would feel comfortable doing it after dark.

I humbly disagree. I am a newbie and I got two different AB girls and one SG to go to my Cascades rooms with me.

The only strategy that worked for me at Cohuila was to have a girl who managed the situation. In that particular case, the 30 minute time limit was 1 hour and 15 minutes and probably could have gone on longer. I get no credit here. She made it known to me that we were not to be disturbed. I did not see her say anything, but there was no knock on the door.

Thanks again, but you and a couple of others are making this forum a real source of information. Don't worry about "knocking" me. These forums are about information sharing. Your posts were a great help to me. I had a great experience and as a newbie, I want to share my experience for other new guys ready to make the run to TJ. Any corrections to the information I post are very very welcome.

Walking directions from the border to Zona Norte.
First, I suggest that you should not do this walk after dark. After the sun sets, take a Taxi for $5. In daylight, I love this little 15 minute walk and even a newbie can do it without any trouble. The nice thing about the walk is that you have a chance to immerse yourself in the culture before you get to the Zona Norte. I suggest that you take your time. Do a little window shopping as you walk by the hundreds of vendors. Practice your Spanish along the way. (Even a tiny bit of Spanish takes you a long way in the Zona Norte if you have the right attitude.) Stop at one of the open-air bars and have a beer for a $1.50 or at one of the taco stands and get 3 tacos for $1 and a corona for an additional buck.
These directions are from the San Diego trolley station across the highway from the border to the Zona Norte. The directions are still the same for the parking lots once you get to the walkway that takes you over the freeway to TJ.
From the trolley station. Cross the street at the front of the train and make a right on the sidewalk just beyond the short chain link fence. Enter the walkway a few steps to your left and cross above the freeway.
When you exit the walkway, go right and proceed through the turnstile gate directly in front of you (about 150 yards). Continue straight and walk past the taxis and buses on your left and the vendors and taco stands on your right. You will eventually reach a large yellow crosswalk. (Note: The second to the last taco stand on your right before you reach the crosswalk has really great tacos at 3 for $1 and coronas for a buck)
Cross the street and enter the large concrete promenade. Walk to the right side of the promenade and you will see a large white arch in the distance. This is the landmark that will get you with in several blocks of your ultimate destination. Keep it in front of you. At the end of the promenade there is a green walkway that takes you across the TJ river. Take the walkway past all of the vendors and the beggars. (Note: I took $5 of quarters with me this last trip that I give to the kids and young mothers, etc. The quarters lasted one evening. At some point you have to learn to start saying no. But, it is good to help a little.)
Once you cross the river, continue heading straight for the arch. You will walk through the Mercado de Artisans on Calle 1. The last taco stand on your right before you reach Avenue Madero is great for tacos (3 for $1 and coronas for a buck). Continue straight ahead and a block beyond Madero, you have reached Avenida Revolucion and the arch. Continue straight ahead for one block until you reach Avenida Constitucion.
You are now in the Zona Norte. Make a right and walk down Ave. Constitucion. There are SWs (street walkers) on both sides of the street. Some will stick their legs out or grab your shirt sleeve. "Gracias, pero mejor despues" seems to work with most if your not interested or not ready to play. Be nice and friendly. The girls do not mind rejection if you tell them that they are pretty (muy bonita!) and give them a smile. A half a block down on the left is the "Alley". The alley has lots more SWs, and the Miami Club/Hong Kong. At the end of the block, you are at the intersection of Constitucion and Coalhila. You are home! Chicago Club is 20 yards beyond on the right side of Constitucion. To your left and on the left side of Coahuila you will quickly find Adelitas and Las Chavelas.

Fantastic Nuevo! That's the most positive attitude I've ever seen on a net board about TJ. I applaud you!

The feud is strong. The AB girls can and will get fired if caught. Once in awhile an AB girl might live in Cascadas and not risk as much, but eventually they will end up living in Coahuila or working for Miami/LC/Tropical. There have been times I could have convinced an AB girl to go to Cascadas, particularly new ones, but I won't let them risk their jobs. I don't think they have a real efficient memo system at AB! The 21 dollar barfine was a bit strong. Normally AB's barfine is 10 bucks, CC's is 20. Street girls and Cascadas are never a problem.

That's odd. I've only been going to TJ for about 4 years but have NEVER seen a SG on Calle Coahuila let alone ten. I was there last Sunday...nada. On the other hand Callejon Coahuila (The Alley) always has scores of them up and down the block. The second floor rooms are opposite the reception desk from the alley side, not the LC side. Are you sure you don't have your streets mixed up? Remember they are both named Coahuila. Calle is the LC side (same side as AB) Callejon is the alley side (same side as Miami). On Calle Callejon what part of the street were the girls standing? The only place I could imagine they'd be would be near the end of block near Ninos Heroes, where guys that hawk Pollo usually stand.

Hey everyone, there's a lot of great info here but I don't know were to start. Let me ask, what does AB stand for? And is CC stand for the Chicago Club? Besides that useless bit, I was also wondering do any of these hotels have 1st floor rooms with no steps or a ramp or anything? Me and my wheelchair weigh about 350 lbs/160 Kg and I don't really see anyone carrying it upstairs. Thanks and any other insight foe a newbie going this week are appreciated.

I have never had a problem bringing a girl into the Nelson. I have been there many times. The girls I have brought up don't dress like hookers when they come up. A lot of the girls will change into regular clothes or even dress up a bit when they know they are going to go to a hotel outside La Zona. If you get one to come with you directly from the club, she will probably change into the clothes she has in her locker.
I have also had no problems with the staff at La Villa Zaragoza. The only times I stay there is when I drive. When I bring a girl there we usually park the car a walk straight to my room. The times when a girl has been brought to my room by a taxi she will either just walk up to my room or someone from the desk or lot will call and askif it is okay for them to come up. They have a 9 or 10 PM curfew for visitors but they have not enforced it on me.
Another place where I have gone is the America on 4th at Negrete. It also has parking but it is very cramped. I did not have a problem with bringing a girl there either. It has 4 floors with an elevator. The televisions are good and the AC works very well. Room service is available until 11 PM and the people don't bug you for tips. The basic room with a king size bed is 50 bucks. They have a more inexpensive room but I think the bed is a single.
I stayed at Cascadas once. I brought a girl from AB there and had no problem. I did have to pay the fat doorman with the mustache 10 bucks to walk her half a blck to the place. She even came back later and the desk guy let her back up and I didn't pay an additional fine. My guess is that because of a shift change he didn't realize I had already had her up there earlier in the day.... or maybe the same girl has in and out privileges, who knows?
I only use the Hotel Coahuila if my strategy for the eveing is to bang as many AB girls as I can in a day so I don't have to continually pay short time rates.
