Lilliana is one of the regular dancers and apparently is a regular participant in the two girl performances. She had a variety of bruises from falling on the stage from dancing the previous night and falling on the rock hard stage. My guess is that the falling was due to a high level of inibriation. When I first met her with Papayito and Jasmine, a portion of the conversation conserned her falling off the stage onto the bar floor. That's a four foot drop!

Just curious. Why backchannel the info? Isn't the entire point of the board to share this kind of info? Backchannelling should be for sharing stuff unrelated to the board.

Basically if you read back a couple of days worth.. you get all my info.. I prefer Hong Kong club because of the laid back non 'fast food' approach to things.. I'm also biased because I'm having a really good time with one girl in particular there on what 'SEEMS' like a more than business level.
The best advice I can give you is this..
1) DO NOT GET DRUNK - There are plenty of people who pray upon the less that alert.
2) Walk with a purpose - Whenever you move from one place to another.. keep your head on a swivel, don't talk to outside you're not planning on having sex with. Just say "NO" and keep moving.
3) Adelitas - High volume. Some solid 9's, occasional 10, a LOT of 2 - 6's. Pick your eye candy and have fun.. VERY assembly line sex unless you get to know them.
4) Hong Kong - hit or miss on the girls.. Lili is fun, Esmerelda is FUN, and stay away from Yvonne.. she's nothing but a drink sponge. Much more laid back in general.. Also more likely to find a BBBJ here.
5) Street girls - if this is your thing.. make sure you are very firm on what you want and how much.. They always upsell in the room. They'll say $20 on the street.. then want another $20 to get naked, another $20 for CBJ, etc. They also are not as clean IMO..

Keep your head on a swivel, but make sure the swivel is a nice leisurely pace. If you pop your head back and forth, you'll look nervous.

Yeah. Make sure that you negotiate for everything before you go to the room. Once there, anything extra will be $20. I think these girls only know $20, $25 and $30.

Dude, Scroll down below the first two posts you see when you open the forum page, that way you can see more people posting on, uh, recent monger info for TJ.
Another big hint, check out the page numbers at the top and bottom of the scroll. They actually let you see what has been posted on regular happenings in TJ. That's right.
Amazing, isn't it. These computers are let you do so much, and the best thing, you can do it all by yourself!
It does take a lot of work though. You have to randomly pick a page and then skim, maybe even read some complete posts about monger's recent experiences.
Oh, and the time involved, two minutes can really put a hole in your day! But I am sure it is worth the effort! Probably less clicks than it takes you to access your email!

It might be cheaper to take train than driving, especially with the skyrocketing gas prices these days, but I'd prefer to drive because I get to have this freedom of not worrying about train times. Also, I usually do not get a room for the night in TJ because I don't stay there too long. But I am willing to open my door to new experiences as always. Even though I work alone most of the time, I sure welcome anybody to tag along. Sure it sounds fine to me maybe we can hook up to go to TJ together sometime.

The most I drink is a beer or two when I am there for a number of reasons. The first, of course, is that I am one of those guys who really doesn't have much feeling in my dick when I drink more than a couple. I like having sex sober or as close to being sober as possible. The second reason, of course, is safety. I'm sure most of us know that alcohol doesn't help the decision making process. When choosing a chick and then negotiating with her I want to be fully aware of what is going on. The same goes when I am trying to navogate the mean street of TJ after dark. Who knows what may turn up. So far I have had no trouble at all in my adventure south of the border. I also know this is no reason not to have my limited wits about me at all times.

Jacuzzi or not, that's a rip off for the room. Hell, I can get a jacuzzi room in Vegas for cheaper than that. And, from what I understand, don't they charge you per girl after the first? YYYYYYes I know it is expensive however i never been sak for extra charge for take more then one chica at one night. first time when i stayed in las cascadas i got a room at 2nd floor for $38 but it was noisy. therefore i ask for high floor they tell me next time request jacuzzi room. can you tell me Coahuilla is on which side of street AB or H.K. Since I always pick up chica at Alley or H.K. BTW, Cascadas has two exit on both side. it can avoid a lot trouble.

I've never stayed in the Las Cascades jacuzzi room. I doubt that it's worth the bucks. But, I have stayed at Las Cascades 4 times and although the rule is only one girl in your room per night for free, I've never paid for the second or third girl. I spread it out a little bit. Probably 2 to 4 hours between ladies, so maybe they didn't notice. It's $35 for the Las Cascades rooms also.
I'll probably take a Las Cascades room the nights I run over to TJ at the end of the month. I just like the idea of a place to stash my stuff and I'm happy with the Hong Kong/Miami Club and Street offerings that will come to my room without the extra charge.
I'm a bit bored with the assembly line 10 minute experience offered by many of the AB girls. Now that's a waste of my money, my time and my libido if you know what I mean.

I alway negotiate, with the exception of my V enhanced hardon tour of the alley. I have had many sessions with the SGs that lasted way longer than an hour. It is like anyplace else, treat them right, say some sweet nothings in thier ear, ect.. I treat TJ hookers the exact same way I do a date here in Vegas. I never lie and I tell them exactly what they want to hear. I know that at least 80% of the girls are married or have serious boyfriends. I play that to my advantage when possible. Like you have posted in the past, treat the girls good and you will be rewarded. I am always thinking when I monger in TJ. Time is short and so are the sessions. I am at the point where I can actually gossip with the chicas. I find out a tidbit or two and scam my ass off. Like I said before, I never lie, to anyone.
BTW, I'm holding my anual lap dance class 101 this coming Sunday at Cheetah's this coming Sunday. Try to make it if you can. I will of course post the results here.

It seems that you have locked onto the same game plan as mine. SGs are bored out of their minds by quickies and latch onto anyone that can provide them something different. The jacuzzi and bubble bath works great.
The other night, I brought a bottle of Italian wine, and a SG spent a couple of hours with me finishing off the bottle. The prior SG was in the room for almost three hours, and I finally had to push her out the door.
What I really hate is when they ask to spend the night, that's when I give them $20 to leave.
I keep hearing what I consider to be a complete bullshit. I seriously doubt that there is city ordinance in TJ that states that you have to pay for any girl you bring to your hotel room. Not to mention this rediculous hotel room charges these locals impose on us. I say, it's a rip off anyway you cut it.
$68 for a room with Jacuzzi(maybe a bath tub). Com'on. Guys throwing money around are only encouraging them to come up with more creative ideas to rip us off.
Concerning SGs.. How the hell were you guys able to keep the SG in your room for more than 10 minutes ? I think those guys claiming to have had SG's in their room for an hour or more, speak fluent Spanish because most SG's can only speak two words of English, "Sucky Fucky." If I am wrong, there is a lesson I need to learn from those guys.
If I have a room for the night I am not paying any extra every time I bring a chick into the room. So far I haven't had any problems with this.
Jacuzzis seem like a good idea if they weren't: 1. so expensive and 2. playgrounds of bad germs like Pseudomonas and Gonorrhea.
I haven't had any experience with SG but I reckon you might be able to find a couple willing to spend time with you. I've met a few club girls who like hanging out just lounging and screwing around.

I've been reading about the advantages of having a text capable cell phone in the PI, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with getting a cell phone in Tijuana. I always turn my cell off when I go across the border, but I suppose that I should check to see if I can get service down there.
Do the girls usually have phones? Do they respond well to text messages as far as being able to arrange dates?

If you have a Verizon account it will work in TJ. Mineoften switches from local SD to analog roam (TJ) or analog digital (also TJ). When it is in roam mode in Mexico all you have to do is diall the local number without any prefixes. However, you will be charged a romaing fee which ain't too cheap anymore. If you not in roam mode you have to dial the local TJ number as a lond distance call from the States. If you in roam mode and want to call back to the US you will have to dial it as if you were dialing from a Mexican phone to the States 00-1+area code+local number.

Ok, what the girls want to hear. I look at each of the girls I pay for sex as a real date. In my head, they are the same anyway. I swear on my daughter's eyes, that 99% of the real dates I have, the first night I bang them. Having said this, it is cheaper to do a hooker than to date an American girl, and like what's his name said, I don't pay girls for sex, I pay them to leave. This holds true even if she comes to my house the first time. It's that second date. Movie=35min, dinner=35/more or less, drinks or whatever=?, and of course the TIME involved. P&G, most of the zona bars have a happy hour which is two for one drinks. A very funny memory, a few years back when I was married. My wife(btw, best bj I've ever had, 'til she becam a cop), and I were walking down Revolution, the barkers were going on about two for ones, and one whispered to my wife, "three for one for you". Of course this in itself is not really funny, but the reaction of my wife was, she felt so special!

Guess I've never ordered during happy hour before. Not so strange since up until my last trip, I'd never gone except on the weekends and at night (usually Sundays). And, when I do go, I try to order as rarely as possible.
BTW, here's a hint for those of you looking to cheap out. When I want to sit at a club, I try to find a table that was recently vacated and has some left over drinks on it. I'll sit at that table and pull one of the drinks over by me so that I can always point at it when the waiters come over to pester me. I've gotten away with this every time I've tried it, and saved money on tiny, $3 bottles of agua.

HK and Las Chevelas were both offering the two for one happy hours all through the summer and into late fall. When I was in HK with Papayito this past December, the two for one special was not on the menu. Maybe its a seasonal thing? Hopefully the season starts in March! I try to sip my beers slowly while in the TJ bars. Two beers will last me 45 minutes to an hour.

PnG, Sorry you couldn’t make it but I had a good time anyways.
Crossed the border around 6. Went to AB to check out the market. Lots of girls, probably most were in the 6-7 range if a 6 is considered better than average. Checked out the street scene. The SGs were few in number and low in beauty. Stopped over at la Tropa to see if my “date” from my last expedition was there. No luck. I wandered around a little longer , more SGs and better looking and stopped off in a hole in the wall place called La Carreta across the alley from the HK and Miami. Not too much action but I decided to take a break there. One of the doormen hooked me up with a chica called Erika. She’s around 23 with a typical story; couple of kids, no education, deported from US as an illegal, no English. We chatted a bit, seemed to get along fine so I asked her if she wanted to go to dinner. I figured she’d say no but things started to improve. She said ok. I was expecting a bar fine for her to leave, but she talked to el gerente and we walked out. There’s a French restaurant kind of near the Jai Alai and she agreed to walk there with me. It was kind of weird walking with her past the SGs that I had been scopin’ out not more than an hour previously. When we got to the restaurant it was closed so we went to Sanborns by the Jai Alai for dinner. During dinner I suggested dancing afterwards at Las Pulgas which is just across the street. She agreed. $3 to enter for me, free for her. We danced for a bit (more like she danced and I shuffled my feet). And then we headed back to her place of employ. In La Plaza de Santa Cecilia there is a hotel/motel that I would never have known about. She took me there we got a room for an hour for $15. She then proceeded to make me feel wonderful. If she had said no I would have said good night and trolled elsewhere. It's kind of like long-lining for tuna. I think some of the "luck" is due to attitude. For me if it doesn't work out with the one I am with I don't push it, I save my load and I give a bigger gift to the chica with whom I finally hook up. While I was in AB last evening I noticed that some of the mongerers there were desperately groping the muchachas sitting with them. I personally prefer the hands off approach until my date and I are in the relative privacy of our own room. Nice report W! Sounds like you had a good time. I don't think your getting lucky, just smarter and more comfortable in the Zona Roja. It seems like each successive trip to TJ has been even more fun than the last with regards to finding a girl to spend some time with rather than just a $60 quickie.

You won't need a recommendation for a pharmacy since they are so many on Revolucion and Constitucion that your mind will boggle. And, they are all about the same. However, make sure you are not in the high risk group of individuals that will stroke out on the blue genie. One famous monger who shall remain anonymous suffered that fate a while back after downing the drug then banging a SW.

2 reliable pharmacy chains in TJ are Fenix and Gushers. Both them have free discount cards that reduce your cost by 20-25% if you pay with cash. Ask for the card before your first purchase and it is valid on your first purchase. There's a Fenix on Revolucion across from the Jai Alai. There's a Gushers in Plaza Rio. I found out about them by asking some of my Mexican friends.

Also, if you want to get to the zona without the stop on Revolucion, just hit up the farmacia right after you cross the border. When you get to the revolving gates that are just before the main taxi place, hang a right instead of going through those gates. You'll walk down a sidewalk, cross the street and walk into the shop. When I went, it was $14/100mg.
When you leave the shop with Dr. V in hand, there are taxis right there. $5 to the zona.

My experience has been that the hard on comes and goes. It comes when I start getting excited, and goes after I cum. But, it is rock hard, and just keeps getting off the canvas after a brief recharge time.

I have been able to get a room on the weekend a few times but have also been denied you like more than once. In fact, I was shut out last yesterday as well. I dropped by around 2 PM which I thought was fairly early but the guy with glasses told me no. I ended staying at Cascaadas which was almost booked to the hilt. The gave me a room on the second floor on the Callejon side which was vey noisey. I've stayed there before on the 4th and 6th floor and they were fairly quiet.

I'd like to try to enlighten you on Viagra facts (this is from experience and info from my doctor and the drug info sheet):
First, it is a blue pill, not purple. The pill will not give you a hard on just by taking one. You still need the regular sexual tease, enticement or encouragement for arousal. It is when you get excited/aroused that enables the V pill to help carry out your mission by allowing a rush of blood flow through your entire system. It's a good idea to have a wallet that goes under your clothes. Something like those neck wallets, or waist pouches you can get at any travel store. Keep your main cash-stash, id and Vitamin V here.
If you can't (or don't want to) use one of those, keep your wallet in your front pocket with your hand on it at all times. Especially when walking the streets.
Also, I only keep enough money in my wallet/pockets for the next score. The rest is split up between one of the aforementioned safety wallets and my sock.

Ceefo - if the TV was about 5-2 dark hair and more or less looked female, you might have gotten it from the one that tried to swipe my watch a couple of years ago. Seems to hang out near Kinkle (as in Kinky - TV bar) and works the street over by Playboys down to about Manhattan. Once seen, avoided, and a clenched vist and DE JAME!! works well. Aggressive, hands all over, etc. (just the one time - my watch is a velcro band so it "rrrrips" when you loosen it. BTW - I ALWAYS use a neck wallet as well as splitting the money into 3 or 4 spots. As much as I HATE walking Rev, the taxi drivers are easier to walk by "Taxi, Border??" than to get over on Constitution in the dark and deal with the strong armers.
I didn't see the thief myself since I was in HK already. In another example of why I like HK so much, Fernando (the door guy) called one of his Policia friends over and the two of them went in search of the TV that stole my friend's money. They didn't find it, but did say they'd keep looking and do what they could for us.

Yea I also got pick pocketed $80.00 bucks one time a few years ago by some TV across from Adelitas while my friend was right next to me. Neither one of us saw it happen.... really got to be aware at all times. I’ve never had any problems with the chicks from the clubs.
I had a good trip over the past weekend. I’m a Tijuana newbie. I went at about 4pm Saturday night and went straight to AB. I walked the circle and looked at each girl. You guys are right that there are more guys than girls, but I had no problems finding a girl within minutes.

I have had girls in the strip clubs in TJ try to pick my pocket. 1 girl actually got the money from me. I made it out to the street before I noticed my cash was gone. I Went to TJ for the first time last Saturday night. I'd gotten a ticket to SD for only $170 from the SE United States. I arrived Saturday afternoon and got a room at the Travelodge right across the border. I walked across the border around 7:00 and picked up picked up some vitamin V at the Drug Emporium. The TJ guide in my hotel gave La Costa a good review so I took a cab there and had dinner. They had good food, 70's decor and Kenny Rogers Greatest Hits playing in the background. When I left La Costa I wanted to walk around a bit and have a beer at a bar on Revolution but as I got about half a block the vitamin V started kicking in so I took a cab to AB. I lost track of time early but it must have been around 8:30-9 when I got to AB. Like I said, this was my first trip to Tijuana but I have been to Nuevo Laredo Boys' Town twice and I couldn't get over how crowded AB was (both men and women) compared to BT and how much better the quality and selection of women was at AB compared to BT. In BT when you walk into a club you are immediately swarmed by a bunch of women who are less than desirable and give you the hard sell, but in AB I got a beer and walked around for some time before any girls would approach me (other than a few random ass grabs. Approaching women in a bordertown club was new to me. In BT you just turn them away until you eventually see one you like.

Had a quick stop in TJ the other day. Got into AB about 2:00pm. Every time I have been down there has been during the day. I have yet to see Hong Kong open.
Anyway I had limited time and money so I stuck with AB. I have not been down for a couple years but there were still a few familiar faces. Street people in TJ. Texas Mike and Franco are the only two I ever deal with. That doesn't mean I trust them. First things first, nobody ever needs help in finding a girl in TJ. Mongering1 - I had my first dealing w/ Franco on Coahuila on my last foray. IMHO what he knows you can store in a thimble. You yourself seem to have quite a bit of knowledge about the street scene down there and how to comport yourself. I have found that, similar to the US, either the doorman, the barkeep or the mesera (waitress) can be very useful in helping you locate the woman of your (wet) dreams at a particular bar. It also helps if you're a serious hobbyist to learn Spanish. Once you get over the initial hump of learning another language the words come easily. I personally prefer some of the clubs on Revolution over AB and CC. I recently had two GF experiences on Revolution. There's one club called Eclipse which is up several flight of stairs. by this time i hade made eye and smile contact with several of the younger girls that were particularly attractive to me… cute face, thin, natural, a glow to them… you just know they have not been at it very long by the way they make eye contact… based on posts here i knew that it was important to be able to communicate well enough to make sure they understood what i wanted… too many posts here about waiters making arrangements that got blank stairs once they got to the room… so i started waiving them over or having my waiter bring them over to me to see if we could communicate well enough to make an agreement before we left for the room… be warned the moment a girl sits down at your table the high pressure tactics to get you to buy her a drink start!!! including waiters that just show up with a drink that you did not order asking for $10!!! these guys play and exploit the “no comprendo” game to the limits… i made two waiters take the drinks back… that’s hard when you are trying not to look like a cheapskate in front of a potential date… but then you have to remember where you are and that even the newest girl off the bus have more experience than most of us. in one case i just handed her $3 after the waiter left and got a big smile and a kiss… i am not sure they always get their part of the money from those $10 drinks or it is a buck or two…
unfortunately for me i was in a little over my head in an environment where even most of the waiters don’t speak english… much less the young new latinas off the bus… that is after all why they were at this club which catered primarily to locals… and i was shy about having the waiter blurt out my requests in spanish for all to hear… so after having finished my beer(s) and several failed attempts to come to a mutual agreement on services i got up and left… thinking maybe i should try one of the less english challenged clubs like cc or ab… i entered having spent $25 and left having increased that to $50 (see how it works, unless you are very careful you will spend more in the bar than in the bedroom. that’s how these places make their money).
a quick walk across the street to ab and i was in an environment where most of the women spoke some english but most were also not what i was looking for… there is a very solid correlation between your opportunities and your ability to speak monger spanish…
maybe someone should come up with an english / spanish monger card that has most of the negotiating language printed on it in english and spanish so you can negotiate by pointing to phrases and prices and times… “monger spanish for dummies”. printing the golden rules of mongering on the back of the card would not be a bad idea either…
1) always agree on everything before leaving for the room!!!!
2) try never pay in advance!!! (the odds are against you..)
3) if one thing is not as agreed, 10 more will arise before you are done!!!
4) don’t be flashy, you won’t get a better girl but you might get hurt…
5) have fun and treat the girls with respect, most if not all will return the favor.
6) if someone is bothering you leave or tell them to get lost!!!

Well once I was done at AB I decided to check out some of the other places described in the forum. CC was ok but I did not get a good feeling about the girls.

But she had another idea, And pulled me to a quiet poorly lit corner of the bar. I just got back a few minutes ago, and when crossing through the INS check.. I asked about the situation once we attack Iraq..
Once the attack begins.. the border will likely be closed to all incoming traffic (car & pedestrian) for no less than 48 hours.
I was thinking of heading down on Friday to spend the night with my new girl.. but the possibility of not being allowed back into my own country while we wage a war doesn't exactly appeal to me..

This is a serious problem for me as I arrive in SD on Sunday and was hoping to hit TJ that night and several times during the rest of the week. I guess all I can hope for is for the friggin' surprise attack to occur before I arrive. Since its going to happen anyway, I hope it is tonight so the border is open before I get to TJ. I know this is selfish, but I have been looking forward to this trip for over a month.

As of last night (1st night of the war):
The border was NOT closed, and the wait time was 5 minutes.
I made the trip last night, and was in AB when the bombing started. Besides the news on CNN, nothing changed. No line at the Border at 8pm, maybe a few more questions than usual from the Border patrol, but no hassel.
Had a great time, as usual. Ive been down there about 5 times and alway have had great service in both AB and CC. (I'm and Expat and have worked in South and Central America, Aruba (see my post there) and the Middle east, so this mongering thing is not new to me.
I think the key is to spend a little time with your prospect and see if you hit it off. You have to make the effort, a little conversation - basic spanish skill are a big plus, but not required. Smile, point, tell her she is beautiful, great legs, beautiful eyes "tienes una cuerpa incedibly" always helps. Nibble on their neck a little, remember they all have the fantacy that they are Julie Roberts and your are Richard Gere, play it a little, have a little fun. And lastly, if she does not grab my "hermano menor" during the first drink, she is history.

The have closed the border (not permanently, of course) several times for security reasons. Sometimes it has been in response to terrorist action, war posture and other world events. Other times it has been for reasons totally unrelated to world events.... clowns calling in bomb threats, an accident on one side of the crossing or other.
Sometimes, just because the line is so damn long and moving so damn slowly you actually think it's closed but is really open. These times are usually when a heightened alert is issued and they search every car coming into the States. At these times, it can also be very difficiult to make a crossing on foot. It won;t matter if you are a US citizen or not. We do not get head of the line privileges.

TIJUANA – A surprise greeted people crossing into the United States from Mexico during yesterday morning's rush hour: Lines were short – very short – despite the U.S. war with Iraq.
Although border officials didn't have precise figures, it appears that about half of the 130,000 pedestrians and drivers who usually cross into San Diego at the San Ysidro port of entry to work, shop or socialize stayed home.
Drivers who said they were accustomed to waiting 45 minutes to two hours crossed in just 20 to 45 minutes. Later, they breezed through in about five minutes.
Traffic also was light at other ports of entry along the U.S.-Mexico border. Morning crossings were down about 50 percent at the ports of entry at Calexico and Tecate. Ports of entries along the border near El Paso, Texas, also reported declines.
"A lot of people are staying put and waiting to see what's going to happen," said Leticia Zamarripa, the El Paso public affairs officer for the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection.
Truck traffic at the Otay Mesa commercial port of entry was about normal, with cargo inspections taking the usual amount of time. The same was true at other commercial ports along the Mexican and Canadian borders.
Steve Gross, chairman of the Border Trade Alliance, said business leaders had been assured that the ports along both borders would stay open, even in the event of a Red Alert. Still, they kept hearing rumors that the border would be closed in the event of war.
"The rumor mill is probably causing more problems than anything else," Gross said.
The relief among those who crossed yesterday was tempered by concern that the border situation could change dramatically as the war progresses. Mexicans still remember the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, which led to very long lines while U.S. authorities inspected entering cars.
Laura Souza of Tijuana hopes that doesn't happen again. She moved briskly through one of the car lanes yesterday to run errands and pick up her kids at a private school in San Diego.
Enrique Meza, who rents bikes to pedestrians who want to cross through the faster-moving bicycle lane, relaxed near a long rack of unused bikes.
"We just rented three or four bikes this morning, and usually we rent 15, 20, 30," he said.
So far, nobody is trying to predict what will happen at the border tomorrow. It's a national holiday in Mexico, a day when – in normal times – some Mexicans would probably cross the border to start a three-day weekend.

Does anyone have positive experiences with any of the newer "high-end" strip joints opening on Revolution? Not the old Babmi and San-Souci (transvestite bars) but the newer American-style (loud music, brass poles/colored lights), etc. Is there anything happening in there besides lap dances and overpriced beer?
Also, there used tobe a little place outside of the Zone called Mexico Lindo. It was a block up 4th or 5th off Revolution. Is it still there?
Great news about the border. Shock and awe started today but I think I will try a crossing today or tomorrow since I am in SD right now.

I'm with Ceefo on this one. I think the Pussycat has some decent girls and there's plenty of extras available. I was there about 4 months ago. I hope my post wasn't seen as inflammatory, brother. It is just that in times when the border was on full of semi-lock down, I have seen Americans, like myself waiting for long periods of time at the border. And, when some of us (not me, of course) have tried to make our way to the front, past some non-US citizens, border patrol/INS (homeland security types) have sent the, bac to the end of the line with everybody else.
If the border gets closed, everyone will wait until it is opened again.
The reports on the border waits that have appeared recently, I don't think a total lockdown will happen.
If fact, a news report last night stated that 2 Iraqi citizens were arrested trying to mke an illegal crossing into the STates from TJ and the border remained open.

M&M I saw a guy accidently spill a bunch of Vitimine-V on the belt at the border and it was not good... they stoped everybody, and waited for two more INS to show up and take him away... Photographed the pills on the belt, the works...

Will I don't know what they will do at the border. The only way to know is go and find out for myself. I'm going this Sunday (overnight), Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (overnight). I'm taking my laptop, so if I can get on the internet, I will report back each of the following nights, re: my personal border crossing experiences. I will be crossing at various times of the day, including Monday morning during rush hour. That is the only crossing that is time critical as I have to be at my downtown hotel by 7:30 AM. That means I need to be at the trolley station at 6:45 AM. That means I need to be at the border when???? Maybe 6:00 AM to be on the safe side? Gee, I'm going to have to leave my hotel at 5:45 AM to catch a taxi to the border. I may have to rethink the overnight stay Sunday night. Or, I better buy a loud battery operated alarm clock.
In any case, I am going to try to walk down the road next to the line to the first bus in line and pay a buck for a quick exit across the border. This worked exceptionally well during my last trip in December. I'm not predicting that it will be possible now. But, it will be worth trying if there are long lines. From what I have read in posts below, that simply has not been the case, so maybe I won't even bother.

I have crossed the border at 6am and it is a nitemare. Long as line all the way back to the parking lot where the "Sentri Line" is. I didn't have to be anywhere but got bored and figured it would take at least an hour maybe 2 to get across. I heard a guy in a van offering to drive people across in the bus lane for only 5 bucks. I figured what he hell at least I would be sitting down in a nice heated van instead of freezing by ass off. He had about 7 other people in the van so I assumed it was legit, we went straight thru to the bus lane and only had to wait about 30 min due to the fact that 2 bus loads of people where ahead of us. The other option you have at this hour is to rent a bike for 3 bucks, I have done that as well and made it thru easily. I must warn you when crossing at that hour you'll be amazed at how many people live in TJ and work in the US. The line is very long and even though it might of been slow last week I'd imagine things to be bck to normal this week. To be safe you might be better off to just sleep in a hotel in SD and come across the border between 4 and 5, is much better.

Well.. the girl I've been with asked for $80 but I finally got her to the room for $50 + $11 for the room. The club itself is up 2 flights of stairs. I wish I could remember the cross street but it's on the same side as the Jai Alai pavilion is. A word of caution though.. the place is ABSOLUTELY empty any time besides the weekends.

TIJUANA – A day after border waits all but vanished, long lines resumed at San Ysidro yesterday as thousands of Mexicans put aside anxieties about war and headed north to shop, work and visit friends and family members.
War anxiety, which had been stoked by the United States' stepping up of its alert status to orange, seemed to be diminishing.
The lanes stretched hundreds of cars early in the day, as many Baja California residents headed for jobs and classes across the border. Others took advantage of a federal holiday in Mexico, the birthday of reform President Benito Juárez, to run errands.
In contrast to the car lanes, the pedestrian lines were minimal at 8 a.m. Silvia Maria C. de Medina, an elementary school teacher in Tijuana, walked toward the border to call her daughter in Florida, saving herself an international toll.
"My son-in-law is in the U.S. Air Force, and I'm very worried that they may call him" to the Middle East, said Medina, her voice trembling. "This is going to affect all of us."
By noon, shopping malls near the border were filled with cars bearing Baja California license plates.
Margarita and Carlos García, both dentists in Tijuana, were picking up household supplies at Costco in Chula Vista. "We thought twice about it, for our family's safety," said Margarita García, but the couple decided to stick to their usual weekly routine.
Nearby, at the Spincycle Coin Laundry, images of the bombing of Baghdad flashed on television screens. Waiting for his clothes to dry, Miguel Piña, 28, a high school math teacher from Tijuana, shrugged off any concerns. "It's just like after the Sept. 11th (terrorist attacks). At first people get scared, but then the fear goes away, and people keep crossing."

Welcome; hope you get a lot of help from the forum; hope you become a positive contributor.
Vitamin V is available in TJ sans prescription, for about $14-16/100 mg. My preference is to buy it at the pharmacy just across the border. You can probably get it for a little cheaper elsewhere, but it's convenient to get your dosage and then hop in a cab to the zona. Don't buy it on Ave. Revolucion because you'll pay premium rates.

I was totally amazed at the dancing/stripping skills of a couple of ladies at "PEANUTS" strip club, right off of Revolucion. Look for it on Rev, btw 3rd n 4th streets. Its on the ground floor,west side of the street, in the middle of the block, set back from the store fronts, down one of those open market walkways. No pressure tactics, little or no cover, 2-3$ beers, I think, and fun time. Had fun watching a guy buy his g/f generous breast-feedings from one of the dancers... with a little extra eye contact, the girls come over and offer "extras" after their turn at the pole and rings. RINGS! ~ btw, much fun to watch, the more skilled dancers spinning like the meaty treats they are, on these RINGS they have, acrobatics beyond common US club antics. Makes you wonder if the acrobatics in thier back rooms are comparable ;)

Another border crossing option is the Big Red Bus on Revo. 50 pesos, or $1 I think. If the wait is too long they will divert to the other crossing. I did this before, 40min total time.

Oh God No! I'm replying to my own message! This is not good!
Actually, I wanted to report on my actual border crossing experience Monday morning (today). Anyway, I attempted to do exactly as my previous post suggested. I took the yellow taxi across from Chicago to the linea at the border crossing ($5). I was there at 5:55AM. The line was huge and building. But, I had my plan -- walk down the line and grab a bus. Big surprise. Not a single bus! Undaunted, I went to my fallback, the Bike guys. When I got there they told me that they were not open yet! Then one of the guys said "cinco minutos" and gave me a big grin. Soon, I was on my dinky little bike riding to the border passing a thousand or so waiting in line($5). In total, the crossing took me 10 minutes and I was on the first trolley to downtown San Diego($2.25). I was at my hotel room at 6:45 AM (much earlier than my original estimate). So I took a much needed 30 minute nap before I showered and headed off to my duties fro the day.
This is just my experience. Your experience may be different.

Madona's in the past year or two had real good quality of chicas and is one of the few places in TJ where the waiters and management are basically honest and there are no hustles. It's a comfortable environment. But it is a legitimate place where extras are typically not offered by the chicas. I did for awhile date non-professionally a chica who works there.
Recently, many of the better looking women at Madonas have moved to Lord Black. They say Madonas is not busy enough, and they get more flexibility regarding when they work at Lord Black. Lord Black is a looser place and it is possible there to get a chica to go to a hotel after her shift, although it is not the norm and you have to find the right chica. And it is far more expensive than anywhere else. A truly gorgeous and affectionate chica at Lord Black recently offered me sexo for $300. I was very tempted because she was stunning, was not all used up like the girls at AB and CC and I think would have been a GFE. I recently went to Club Beverly Hills (about 3rd & Revo) for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised--there were some quality chicas there, although the quality was somewhat uneven. Extras are definitely available. Two chicas said they would do BBBJ for $60. I offered only $50, and they wouldn't come down. I realized later that the $60 is necessary per club policy to go to the back room.
I have heard extras are available with the right chica at Peanuts & Beer, but have never partaken. There are some good looking chicas there as well.
Also, I believe Mexico Lindo (it's actually up 7th street, I think) is still open, but it has been at least several months since I have gone by there so I could be wrong. It used to be a high end hooker bar, but I don't recommend it now because last time I was there the girls were not as attractive as CC and AB, and the prices quoted were higher ($80-100, plus much higher hotel fee across the street at Hotel Leon). And the chica I did was just as perfunctory sexually as the typical AB and CC chica. In terms of just the atmosphere, it has the feel of a relaxed neighborhood bar, so that would be it's best selling point at this point.

Scam-Ripoff Report.
I’m sort of disappointed that I am posting this report because it makes me look pretty friggin’ naïve. Well no! It makes me look damn stupid. But in the interest of others who read and participate in this board, I must forego my limited pride and well….
Last Sunday, I was running low on cash and found the BANAMEX ATM located about 1 block from the Arch on Revolucion. It was about 25 yards off Revolucion on the left on a street to the right as you walk away from the Arch on Revolucion. There is a Pharmacy on the far corner of Revolucion, below a place called Buckets (or something like that) which is located on the same side of the street as the BANAMEX. The two ATMs were located at the top of a short flight of stairs and located to the right of the entrance to the bank in a well lit area with an entrance way open to the street. As my friend and I approached the bank, we passed a security guard just before the steps to the ATM. (Sorry, this is the best I can do with regards to a description of the ATM and its location for now. I will revise the description after my visit to TJ tomorrow night.)
So I walk up to the ATM and insert my card, put in my password and proceed with the withdrawl portion of the menu. When I hit the button to finalize the transaction, the ATM told me that my transaction was not accepted and gave me the option of reviewing my balance. It did not actually let me review my balance either. I forget what the next message said. I tried the second ATM and got the same message. Then the machines started to refuse to allow my cards to enter at all. I lingered for a few minutes trying to make this thing work as I really did not have enough funds for all the things I was planning for the evening. I don’t know when the Mexican guy showed up and was waiting behind me to use the machine. At some point he got impatient and kindly said “I will show you” and grabbed my card and stuck it in the machine. We went through the process and I keyed in my password as he stood next to me. It still did not work, so I sneered at him and grabbed my card and my friend and I went off to find another ATM. We did not find one.
The next day, Monday, I hit an ATM and the ATM refused my request for cash. I got very pissed (I know how much money is in my checking account). When I got back to the hotel, I called the B of A and asked them what was the problem. I gave the dude my ID info and then the B of A Rep asked me why I was calling him when my account was in SF and the number I called was for the East Coast account service reps. I promptly told him that I called the number and the back of the card and that if there was a screw up it was B of A’s fault. So he transfers me to the Washington State Service Center (instead of the CA Service Center) and when the new Rep gets on the line and tells me I should be talking to the CA office, I am thoroughly convinced that all of this was B of A’s fault; it certainly would not have been the first time for me.
Anyway, this girl sticks with me and takes all of the information and then tells me that my account has been closed. She then tells me to turn over the card and look at the expiration date. It’s ’05. As I’m staring at the card, I see something that hits me like a hard slap on the face. The name on the card is not mine. It is the card of some dude that is something like Arthur Wellington Rogers IV. NOT ME! I started laughing. Even a lame f**k like me could instantaeously figure out what had happened. I told the girl on the phone that I had another person’s card and that I had probably been a victim of a card theft and the owner of the card I had probably was a victim of a similar theft. She checked his account and it had been closed. Then I had her check withdrawls on my account in the past 24 hours. Yes, there had been 3 withdrawls. $280, $28, and $509; over $800! My new bank friend promptly ordered me a new card and then transferred me to a CA Rep who then finally got me to a person who could deal with this issue. It appears the charges will be erased from my account in 3 or 4 days after an “investigation”. I was told that it looked pretty cut and dry, especially since the last withdrall was approved after two others had been denied and the third exceeded the $500 withdrawl limit for my ATM card. We will see.
The CA rep told me that she had dealt with another customer a couple of weeks ago that had the same story about a TJ ATM. She told me that guy told her the same story that I had related to her. So my guess is there is reason to believe that there are at least three victims of this scam. Yours truly, AWR IV, and the guy the CA Rep dealt with earlier. My guess is there are more, but that is purely conjecture.
So, what happened? Here is my guess. Yes, it is just a guess! The scam artist has found a way to manipulate or jam the machines. (Remember, both ATMs acted similarly). He waits for a suitable dopey American victim (that would be me in this instance) and, as the potential target struggles with his transaction, the scam artist intercedes to “help”. Once he gets his hand on the card, there is a little slight of hand action, and the victim’s card is replaced with a previous victim’s card. I really want to believe I watched my card while it was in this dude’s hands. I remember feeling very uncomfortable when he took it out of my hands. But, I also remember thinking about the security guard a few feet away and four other young American guys who had entered to the ATM, plus I had my mongering friend. So who knows, maybe I took my eyes off the card. I can’t say with any certainty.
Just an added thought, the card that replaced mine looked exactly like my B of A Visa card. This was a Mexican bank ATM that accepts lot’s of different cards. For the scam to work, the dude must have lots of cards so he can select one that matches your card. He must have many cards, Citibank, Wells Fargo, etc… Obviously, this has been going on for a while. I’M GOING TO GET A CARD WITH MY PICTURE ON IT. Let the dude try to duplicate a card with my ugly mug on it!
The bottom line is the guy needs to get your card in his hands and see you input your pin number. At least, that is my best guess.

I believe I might know the ATM to which you refer. Your description sounds exactly like the one at which I had a problem, except for your reference to it being glassed in. The one I am thinking of has a set up that makes it very dangerous when the bank is closed because it is up some stairs and then tucked away down a little passageway and is not completely visible from the street. It would be a bad set up and a criminal magnet in any city.
About a year ago, a cab driver took me to this ATM. No one else was around. While using it, a guy approached me as I came to the screen listing withdrawal amounts, which, as at most or all ATMS in TJ nowadays, listed amounts only be in pesos. He stood very close behind me and asked me if I wanted dollars instead of pesos. He spoke good english and said, quite ludicrously, that I could get dollars instead of pesos if I entered my PIN again. He must have thought it was find-an-idiot-gringo-day. At the same time, I sensed a couple of additional people behind me, who turned out to be a couple of very questionable looking women with this guy. There is no possibilty that I was going to enter my PIN again.
This may have had a very unhappy ending, but my novia, who was in the cab parked on the street waiting for me saw these people walk up to the ATM passageway, and she got out of the cab and came up and put her arm around me. With a witness present, this guy and the two women backed off. I actually, not particularly wisely, finished the transaction and got my 3000 pesos. When I got back in the cab, the cab driver said I had dodged a bullet, maybe literally. Of course, he had unwisely taken me to this ATM in the first place.
If one must withdraw cash in TJ (which I don't recommend), use one of the several ATMS on or near Revolucion that are in glassed enclosures visible from the street that can be unlocked and entered only by inserting a bank card. Avoid the above-mentioned ATM at all costs. Its set up is tailor-made for criminals to prey.

I hear you. I would, however, perhaps argue that Lord Black is a different market in which the $60 standard does not apply. One does not go Morton's and insist that the fair market value for a t-bone is the price charged by Sizzler. Also, a price paid to a Lord Black chica would not have any effect on the price charged by a zona chica, just as paying $40 for a t-bone at Morton's does not mean that Sizzler will raise it price.

The TJ ATM and the waiters palming your $20 and telling you it's only $1 are two of the oldest scams in TJ. In TJ never let anyone help you at an ATM machine. These two scams have been posted about over and over on this site and the many other TJ sites.

There are 2 bancos with ATMs near the arch... one at the corner for Bital and he other off of Rev near the Azteca Massage for Banamex. I have used both with no rel problems except that they may not always be able to communicate with my baank system so that no money can be issued. In this case you need to stop trying to get cash.
It is always a bad idea to talk to anyone trying to help you get cash in the US, Mexico or any place else.

I had my pockt picked in Istanbul once. It was not a good eperience to say the least. The good part about it is that I was able to cancel all of the cards I had in my wallet and did not lose anything to identity theft. The thief did, however, try to get a reward for turning in my wallet at the US consulate but I didn't even consider it.

Except for the bit about the security guard, the description of the bank and ATM fits Banamex perfectly (its on 2nd street, near Revolucion). This place has ATMs that state: "Do not give your credit card to anyone" and "don't accept help from anyone" in English. There are no other banks that fit the description in the story.
However, there are some troll aspects to the story:
Banamex has 2 ATMs side by side. The second one is new, so its possible that this is an old story being recycled, since anyone having problems with an ATM will invariably attempt to get cash from the machine next to the first one.
I suspect that this is a true story from some years ago.
At any rate, the lesson learned is still valid.

I was in TJ last night with my friend who was with me on Sunday. We went to the pharmacy where he had bought a generic 50 MG for $5 on Sunday. We both both some vitamin V for the night's adventure. (I finally broke down and decided to try it.) Anyway, the bank is just down the street from the Pharmacy, so I edited my original post to reflect the name of the institution and its actual location. I did not see your post and the others until this evening as I was unable to access WSG last night.

I guess I missed the posts about the machine jamming/card switch scam thing. I don't read the other TJ sites and I simply do not remember seeing this scam posted on this site in the past six months or so. If my post is redundant, that's too bad. If these things are still going on, my feeling that regular updates are appropriate for new visitors to TJ.

I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, despite your innuendos.
Not only do I have a witness to the event, I have online banking, which means I can save a copy of my bank transactions on a word document and email it to you. It will have dates, amount of transaction and something that should provide evidence of location. I haven't looked at the online account info yet, but if I remember correctly there should be enough to convince you that I did not "recycle" this story.
I have been promised that B of A will reverse the charges before I get home Saturday night. That information should be on my online banking account at that time. So, are you, my friend, honorable enough to inspect the information and then post that you have made a mistake?

...sorry to hear about the rip... it is sometimes a problem when one gets comfortable with a situation and/or place that one can get complacent. Always, I repeat always, keep a clear and alert head about you when money is involved, no matter where you are.
Remember that people know why Americans are in TJ... to spend money on one thing or another. Given that, there will be those there who want to take it from us.. merchants, service providers and, yes, thieves, con artists and thugs.
I don't like that Banamex because it looks like a good place to get ripped off... it's a great choke point.
It's always a good idea to bring all the money you need with you from the States. When I am close to running out of money in TJ I know it's time to go home.

Another border crossing report,
As I promised, another border crossing report. Thursday morning, 03-27-03. Pretty much the same as the previous report for this past Monday morning except when my friend FF and I arrived at the border at 6:25 AM (about 30 minutes later than my Monday crossing). The line was much shorter than Monday and seemed to be moving pretty fast. I wanted to show FF the bike thing, so we rented the bikes and were through customs in less than 3 minutes from the time we rented the bikes. (Rent bike, ride bike to front of building, walk bike to first Xray, Xray backpacks, walk bike to customs station – no one was in our line, show drivers license to customs agent “No I am not bringing anything across the border”, next Xray, walk out of customs building and drop bikes off across the street after exiting building.) Bottom line, no problem. We had driven to the border the previous night, so with the light traffic we had me at my hotel in downtown San Diego at about 7:05 AM.

Sunday night’s girl report is sort of short (for me). My friend FF was a first timer to TJ, but not a newcomer to international mongering. After checking into Las Cascadas around 7:00 PM Sunday night, following a trip on the trolley and the short taxi ride, we did a quick orientation stroll and hit Adelitas. I wanted my friend to take it slow and not take the first chick that rubbed her hand across his crotch. He was pretty surprised and happy with the selection of the girls on the street and at AB. Plenty of girls and not many mongers and most of the mongers were locals. We hung at AB for a while and after being accosted by the requisite series of unattractive girls, two approached us and sat down at our table. His was young and cute. Mine was young and fat! His girl was named Melissa. She was cute with natural C-cups, very limited English and made it known to both him and me that she was going to make sure her customer had a good time. We then hit an ATM (see earlier post for details) and then tried another before heading over to Hong Kong. Since the ATM thing didn’t work out, I only had money for one good session, so at Hong Kong I knew where and with whom I could find it.
Hong Kong’s line up has improved since January. There were several girls I considered taking, but I wanted a sure thing. I finally found Lilliana after an hour or so. She was extremely happy to see me and I took her to the room for a 30 minute session after two fichas (see my previous report on Lilliana in January). Anyway, once in my room, it was different and the same with her. She likes to pound you from the cowboy position on top until she comes. She pounded away a very long time and never reached her O. My new friend proved that with the right attitude, Spanish-language challenged individuals will have no problem if they have a good attitude. FF had the right attitude.
We hit the sack at a little after midnight. I had to get up really early.
My first trip to TJ was a disaster that evaporated in the rain due to a chance meeting while on Revolucion a couple of weeks ago, but I thought I'd pass on some information on Vitamin V.
I stopped in a pharmacy to get a little blue pill or two, and was told by one of the workers there that it was around $50 a pill. I thought he was just pushing for as much money as he could get from the dumb gringo, but then he informed me that I would be better off buying it online back in the States! Weird. Luckily, though, I observed what appeared to be a fellow monger doing business down the counter, and I saw on his receipt that he was paying $31 or so, for two pills. I asked the guy helping him how much Viagra was, and he responded with $12-16 per pill, depending on whether you got 50 mg or 100 mg. The monger there told me to get the 100 mg, as I could cut it in half to take a 50 mg dose, and save some money. Good advice, since $24 would buy me two 50 mg sessions, while only $8 more bought me an additional two.
So if you get a weird answer in a pharmacy, definitely try another worker - you may get another answer in the very same store. And the 100 mg pill is more cost-effective, considering the usual dose is 50 mg.

Re Vitamin V: I haven't tried it yet, but I think I've seen some reference to 25 mg dose as well as the "usual" 50 mg. Is 25 mg recommended for first time users, to see what the affect is or is 50 mg the right dose to try. Whatever the dose, buying 100 mg and splitting up the pill sounds like good cost saving advice.

Buy generic. They are sold only in sealed containers of five 100mg pills. The containers go for around $35, or $7 per pill. I can attest these are legitimate and work as well as the real thing. Only a small percentage of pharmacies sell these and those that do so do not always consistently have a supply. It takes a little bit of effort to find a pharmacy that has them.
Miami bar is hot! We made the required stop at AB to check things out -some great looking chicas but too much pressure from second-rate girls, so we bailed out and ended up in Miami. That's where I spent most of my time for the next few days. No pressure in Miami - girls are introduced to you on request (either by you or the girl). Every girl I bought a drink for was willing to go upstairs, and all were GFE (DFK, multiple positions, shower togather) although not all did bj's. Going rate is forty dollars, plus twelve for the room. There is one real sweetheart of a girl, looks more irish than mexican, uses the name Lilian or Laura (she seemed to change her name in the few days that I knew her). Going rate there is forty bucks, plus twenty for the room for two hours. the girls will stay with you for much of the two hours too, but it costs a lot in ficha drinks to get to that point. They will also go to your hotel if you're staying in the nearby Villa de Zaragoza, but the hotel may charge you a ten dollar "guest fee".
My last border crossing report.
My TJ Monger friend (Papayito) and I made it to the border via the walk at around 11 AM. I had a flight at 1:30 PM. I missed the flight! I was a little overconfident re: my timeline and could have made it if we had not stopped to buy a carton of cigarettes and had breakfast before getting to the line and having to stop atmy hotel to pick up my remaining luggasge. Then instead of renting the bikes, I decided we should do the bus crossing. There were no buses that I could see in the bus line and it had been very fast and comfortable before. It was the final mistake that caused me to miss my flight. When the bus was full with a bunch of $1 paying passengers it pulled up to the line and we waited foreveras as there were one or two buses in front of us that were borded by INS types. The result was we spent 30 to 45 minutes in the damn bus. Probably, not much better than standing in the line which was moving pretty fast. If we had rented the bikes, I would have made my flight. I missed bing allowed on that flight by three minutes. The E-ticket would not process my ticket because it was 3 minutes later than 30 minutes prior to the flight.
Again, I must say that if you take the bikes, you are assured of a quick border crossing. I now consider the bus thing somewhat less reliable.

The bus can be quick and yes, it can take a while. I usually take the bus but I always try to cross when I am not in a rush to go anywhere. I guess it helps that I live in SD!

I am relatively attractive guy but want the experience of dating a latina girl in a latin country maiintaining the relatively local TJ experience. Possible? Or is best bet to try and get strippers who will go out for dancing or something else like our other esteemed collegue did who made night of such experience?
Avoid Jaqueline at AB and Michelle (was at AB a few weeks ago but I heard may be at CC now). Both talk a good game in the bar, but once in the room make no effort, go through the motions, and try to rush you if you do not finish in a few moments. Essentially they are rip-off artists who should be avoided at all costs.
Both have been working in the zona for at least 2 1/2 years, and both have become jaded and used up. Stay away and avoid wasting your money and subjecting yourself to aggravation.
Posted as a public service. Maybe if these chicas and those like them were to suffer some consequence in the form of lost business, service would improve.

Can you give a description of Michelle, I know a Michelle at AB and she is by no way jaded. She speaks very good English. If you could maybe describe the girls appearence as well since some girls might go by the same name, this way if a guy is getting a good vibe from a girl and he asks for her name he doesn't automatically loose out on what could be a great session just because she happens to have the same name as some bad provider that works in the same club.

I'm afraid I got rather busy this last week and didn't have time to sort out a good home for the MongerCard.
I've decidced now that rather than bothering Jackson with what might be a changing entity its better to put it somewhere where I can edit it easily as and when needed.
I haven't finished the pronounciation keys, buts its usuable as is.
I learnt my Spanish further south then Mexico, and wanted to make something more generally useful than just for TJ, so I've rather eschewed local expresions in favor of more generally understandable ones.
Any comments, let me know. If it looks useful as it I'll finish off the pronounciation keys asap.

Fighting. Situation Preparedness while Mongering dark streets of TJ.
Concerned because looking to go beyond marshmellow of Americans around CC/AB, and go to TJ on slower nights when American marshmellow is smaller, and lastly because I go alone.
Situation: Provoked or pestered by a raton who does not leave you alone, won't get out of your face, leave you alone, imagine TX Mike but a little worse-egregious. Reading some of the past posts about getting pick-pocketed by TV or some miscellaneous situation that gets out of control makes me think of a quick hit to the mouth or likewise. Hesitant to stand ground because of fear of jail, explaining to employer not showing up at work, other consequences.
I do not look for trouble, but don't accept it easily, however time constraints destroy planning trips with buddies, so I go alone, am short, but confident in handling myself. I would rather be prepared for the 1/100 times I am down there. Kinda like emergenc preparedness. Does ev. come out of woodwork to defend Mexi national, does Machismo have any honor? e.g. molestor getting ass kicked accept his role in provocation and keep silent not try to get you arrested? Weapons get drawn? I have looked in previous posts since July see mixed results.
All who can please enlighten as to consequences.

xthrax. I am not sure what your question is, but I think you are asking what to do if pestered by someone? Simple, walk away. I've yet to meet someone who wouldn't take, "No, Gracias" for an answer. Closest thing to that was a fellow who simply followed me and the guys I was with for a ways after being told we didn't need his help. But, he was harmless, we ignored him, he went away after we ducked into a bar.
As for avoiding the American Marshmallow. I'm not sure if you meant this in a derogatory sense, and I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt. Just in case, insulting those from whom you are asking advice is not wise. You might want to be more careful of phrases that could be mistaken, especially down in TJ.

I have gotten the generic at a few places, and it can be hit and miss. But one or more of the pharmacies right across the border and to the right are your best bet. I am terrible about remembering the names of these places, but there are a couple of places in the row of pharmacies facing the street on which the taxis park where the generic can be had. You have to ask specifically for the generic. I usually ask around until I am successful.
Also, don't know if the Lord Black chica would be worth the $300 because I haven't taken her up on it yet, or taken similar offers from others there yet. Money is not much of a problem for me, although I don't like to overpay for anything. At this point, I am just ooking for quality experiences. I am really tired of the AB/CC/SG scene because the service is almost always bad. If I am recalling correctly, you once called it "assembly line sex" and this is really accurate. Nothing is more expensive or aggravating than throwing away $60 on robot-like chicas who don't do what they promised they would do. Unless one develops a regular type of relationship with a chica there, which I don't want, I just think there are a lot more misses than hits.
I am tempted to pay significantly higher prices for chicas outside the zona who are not so used up and who are stunningly attractive, like those at Lord Black. If the service is good, in my opinion, the higher price would be worth it. If the going rate is $50-60 for a bad experience with a jaded zona chica, then to me $200-300 for a great experience with a stripper would be worth it. But there is no guarantee that it would be a great experience, of course.

There's a pretty good restaurant a block and a half or so from Adelitas. It is on the same side of the street as Adelitas but 1-2 blocks away from AB. You walk from CC to AB to then to Monte Carlo then to New York & Manhattan then a little bit further there's a cafe with an open bar that almost outdoor. The shrimps and tortas were both quite good. Me & Tapioca & Firedick etc stumbled upon it last time.

No offense meant, I used marshmallow to denote the special economic zone that exists for tourists of various sorts-Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, and Yes, American,more aptly , Foreign high spending zones like-Ave Revolucione( yeah spanish spelling sucks too) and The Zona. My experiences in TJ have been great but I wanted to experiment going beyond my comfort zone and wnated to know about contingencies. As a tourist, sexual or otherwise, I like to know how to act, and in particular not to have my "politeness seen as a sign of weakness" but then knowing where I should just rely on counting on myself if a situation got really bad or simply avoid ANY chance whatever I may be in such a situation, even if probability dictates chance of me having to respond physically is 1 in a billion. NO offense meant, to anyone, period.

Yeah, a majority of chicas in AB and a vast majority in CC (I no longer patronize that establishment) are 'assembly line sex' girls (Did I coin that? Cool :)). But, there are the gems in the regular zona haunts. There's Stephanie (earlier review) and Liliana (Nuevo's alchoholic chica) who have been reviewed within the past couple months. They're available for $50-60. And, of course, there're always the internet chicas like Tania (la famosa) who will give great incall service with multiple pops for $150-200.
Don't give up on 'em yet :)

BTW I agree w/ Trail, it is possible to find a gem at Isis, in spite of its reputation. I have had several good sessions there.

I tend to like to explore also and have been up and down every street in the whole North area. I wouldn't recommend some of them. I have been accosted more than once and have had to stand my ground but most of the guys that do that are just rats anyway and would break in half if a corn fed american pounded them. I have usually let slide a grab on my clothing after saying no thanks. The culture down there seems to allow a little more invasion of personal space than in USA. But when they start holding me and grabbing, a good shove and hightail it out of there is all that is needed. I actually had a one guy run into me later in front of AB and apologise! I guess he was trying to salvage his reputation. Another time two guys were trying to do some competative pimping and got in a fight with each other. I just walked away laughing.
I tend to feel really safe in TJ, it's like walking through a high school campus. Low percentage of real threat but you always have to keep your guard up and don't look like a victim.
On a side note, has anyone ever managed to find some "strange" off the beaten path. I would love to find a little chica who want's to help the family budget by being nice to me once or twice a month. I think it would be nice to have a regular so I could skip the whole bar circus when I'm not in the mood. Any stories or suggestions?

As far as I know without a valid drivers license or passport it will be extremely difficult to cross back over. with the heightened security on the border even though waits are relatively short the border patrol reviews carefully everyone's id.

Just wanted to give you guys heads up. If you've been paying attening to world events, you would probably know that this new cold-like killer virus called SARS.
According to the world health organization, it's spreading like wild fire and even though it is believed to have originated from China and Hong Kong, there are new cases found in many other countries. It's highly contageous and can be fatal once you are hit with it and they haven't yet identified the virus much less have a cure for it. Any monger knows that TJ is not the cleanest place in the world with many strangers from god knows where. Again, I am not trying to spoil the fun, but be extra careful when you are in a foreign territory. A smart monger knows how to haggle and have fun, but he also knows how to take care of himself.
whomp - the thing is that there are so many tht get rolled or worse and lose the ID there that they just talk to someone for while and find out if they REALLY know US stuff. a favourite question is "so when you were in school, what did you like to do at recess?" why? Recess is a uniquely american thing - others may go outside to play but it isn't called "recess'. there are other questions that will determine IF your buddy is US or not (not not "so who won the world series?" some california team I think (and since I don't follow basic ball - just "advanced" ball I might not remember) birth certtificate is about the best. tell your buddy to always keep an expired driver license and remember this - while they might make it difficult fior a citizen to re-enter the US withuot ID (I didn't bother showing last time I crossed but that was Jan) they CAN'T REFUSE ENTRY INTO YOUR NATIVE COUNTRY (but they may make you miserable about it)
also about SARS - there is a thought that the masks might be ineffective since it seems that a lot of it could be spread by touch. they recommend hand washing and aren't certain the the waterkless hand cleaners are effective. Persdonally I think that a good high grade industrial dust mask is better because of particulate size blocvked and one with a carbon filling (paint, vapour) is even better Just my $.02, though

Dont get me wrong I love going to TJ butt this is good enough reason for me not to go to over crowded TJ for a while or until this SARS thing clears up, people are more likely not to be very clean in TJ and plus the fact that you come in to such close contact with people of all walks of life. Bumping in to them and sharing the air they breath in the various night clubs sounds a little scary at the moment especially since there is no way to protect your self from SARS.
So.. as many of you who frequent this forum know, I've been spending a fair amount of time with a particular girl from HK.. seeing her outside of the club and so forth..
Last night, I decided to spend the night with her and tried the jacuzzi rooms at the Hotel Cascades.. Let me tell you.. these rooms are NICE. 3 times the size of a regular room, with the jacuzzi and a king sized bed. The $67 price is a bit steep for just a quick session with a girl, but if you're planning on spending any real time down there.. they're worth it (at least to me). I think we spent 2 hours in the jacuzzi alone just relaxing and basically sleeping.. hehe.
As for the SARS thing.. there are more cases in the USA than there are in Mexico. In fact.. according to the W.H.O., there are no known cases of SARS in Mexico. Yes it's a nasty thing, but let's not overbuild it with unneeded hype.

When I hit TJ, it's always been at night, and I usually grab a cab and head straight for Revolution or La Zona. The last few times I've asked the Taxistas about Club Fetishes and none of them know about it. Now I'm really curious. Think I'll head there in the daytime and take a walk. But how exactly to get there. Can you help me? As I go through that second turnstile to enter Mexico - where all the Taxistas wait to pounce.....then how should I walk (other than fast!) to get to Club Fetishes?? Can you give me a pointer or two?

Just Back from Quick Thursday night run.
Chicas at 60% of a regular thursday tally. People I asked in general said now war is having effect on TJ visitor numbers.
Checked out Hong Kong, Lord Black, AB/CC, little clubs like chevelas, etc. - The ones that cater mostly to foreigners stuck out because of what I perceived to be less volume quality.
Tried CC girl Paloma from DF, pretty good.
Also three chicas I had dances, mongering sessions had cold. I got a kick-ass cold (three weeks on my ass) from my last visit and trist with my favorite little CC Vanessa.
Was the ONLY person crossing back from the pedestrian section(2 AM Fri) For what its worth. Its very late. Will write later if anything catches my mind.
Went to TJ Wed nite 10pm till 3 am Very slow, about half the girls I usually see and only a few guys. Everywhere was dead except AB. That was business as usual. I was also the only one walking through the border at that time. One thing I noticed when it's slow is that the rats get more aggressive. Texas Mike would not leave me alone everytime I stepped out of a place he would follow me around and the beggars seemed more aggressive also. I like the idea of walking around and having a good time but it almost makes me want to pick one bar and hide.
I would love to get info on the "Semi-pro" girls!
Also, I like the idea of the bigger rooms with the jacuzzi. I might try that next time if I stay overnight. Will they let you bring anyone? I would imagine it's just the girls from that place and they probably charge for each.

Hola folks, I thought I'd put a quick newbie report from a couple of weeks ago. I've been busy, and then it took a while to get approved to post.
Anyhow here it is:
I hooked up with Neuvo on Sun. night. He very patiently showed me the ropes and I had an awesome time. Did two girls the first night.

hello everyone. i have something i need help with. i've been to tj many times over the last six years and have never had a problem getting back to the us. a friend and i are heading over there tomorrow (saturday). recently, though, i had my driver's license confirep001ed because of a dui--on my birthday no less. i don't have anything else with a picture on it other than a card i use for work that doesn't have my social security number on it. would be possible to get back across to the us with no driver's license or id card? i have the temporary 30-day license (a document) that was given to me, but i'm not sure if that'll be enough. can anyone give me information about customs and how difficult or "worth it" it would be to attempt a crossing under these circumstances? i'd very much appreciate any help you all can offer.

There's that currency exchange booth right past the US/TJ gates that was offering 10.45 P/DOLLAR vs 10.68 for same day-a rip-off but not nearly when compared to using US dollars for TJ time.
Last Thursday I was thinking-Why bother? Its friggin Mexico? But again, over a course of that night-that's one more good chica experience I can get in, or a free double on an average night for me. One cannot avoid the currency exchange place on way to Taxis, open late, no line, human exchanger ready, so no hassle with ATM stuff.
Are chicas accepting standard peso rates, eg. if AB chica takes $50 US (negotiating impaired monger) for bj/full, is there a commonly accepted peso rate for bj/full at favorite places like AB/CC fro non-impaired negotiators and impaired negotiators?
