Robinson Department Store is accessible from the Susukino subway station.

Just go outside and walk for a few blocks and you will see these establishments all over the place. There are places, but you have to know the language.

There have not been any Sapporo posts in almost a whole year, so I thought I would add my input. I visited Nukiya today and had a great experience! It was my first time doing anything like this and I was very surprised. We’ll start with location:

The most noticeable thing about the Chuo Building is that it is near the street car stop in Susukino near the Sapporo Drug Store. I forgot to note a few things:

The Chuo Building is pretty noticeable. I had the feeling it would be in a small building down a side street and spent 30 minutes walking through Minami 6-3. This is not the case. It is a big building on a major street. You can also ask someone where the building is without being suspicious. As I said, there are many restaurants in the building.

I have pretty good Japanese, which helped but was not necessary.

The beer was 300 yen and was watered down. Unless you HAVE to have it. Pass on the drink.

I went to Geihinko last nightand had a great time! I will try Nukiya soon.

I was told that there was a gaijin friendly place near Kita 24 station. I have walked around there a bit, and see that there are quite a few little places just north of the station. I will try to check this out more with my friend who speaks really good Japanese soon.

What I would really like to try though is the delivery health. The plan would be to go to a love hotel, have someone who speaks Japanese really well call up and order a girl. Last week I did some research on the fuzoku scene in Susukino and I would like to share the results with this scientific community.

1. The basics

Before my business trip to Sapporo I got prepared. Using Google Language Tools and Yahoo Babelfish I read many websites of shops in Susukino. They are easy to find through websites like http://www.susukino-h.com, http://www.susukino-dx.com and http://www.susukino.gr.jp.
I took a list of selected shops, their adresses, rates, access maps and, if applicable, discount coupons with me. I concentrated on "sexy pubs" and "hitoduma health" ("health" with married woman).

All places are farely easy to find once you have understood the address system of Sapporo. Like New York the city is laid out in an simple chessboard pattern. The adresses such as "south 6 west 3" (S6W3 in short or minami 6 nishi 3 in Japanese) include a certain part of a street in east-west direction plus half a block north and south of this street. This adress would include one side of the streets in north-south direction and even back alleys. If you are unsure to what address a certain building belongs you can look at the nearest street lamp that usually carries a plate stating the address.

My special hint: Look at the newest feature of Google Maps, the "street view". If you find the address there, you can have a look at photos of the street and the buildings. This way it will be much easier to find any shop when you are actually there.
Language is an important issue. I am not at all fluent in Japanese, but those shops that let me enter made sure that I speak and understand Japanese to a certain extent.

2. Sexy pubs

Fantasia let me in easily. I paid 5,300 Yen for 40 minutes (its website coupon was not acknowledged) and had to wait for a few minutes. The attendant used some spray to desinfect my hands and another one for my mouth.

Then I was led to a small stall, just like the ones in pink salons. There was only a bench to sit on and a small table. The stalls were separated by curtains. I could here every word spoken in the adjacent stalls. I could choose a drink.

Arrived today and am staying at the ANA hotel. It's perfectly serviceable but a little away from the action. There is an on-site massage spa and I went for the 60 minute oil course. I travel for business several times a year and this last trip took me to Sapporo. It was the end of April and still chilly and very windy, so I decided to not roam the streets and rather to try my luck at City Boys / City Girls (which can be found via a map link in this thread). My Japanese is very limited: I only got through a few audio lessons before this trip. I did learn one useful phrase (spelling is sure to be wrong)"watashi wa nihongo ga skoshi wakarimas, demo mudda joe-ja jari masen" which means "I speak a little Japanese but I'm not yet an expert". I think the latter part of the phrase sounded facile and made them feel as if I actually could speak it.

I started with City Boys. As I entered, the people on the first floor said "Japanese only". I ignored them and took the elevator to the top. On the top floor, the two tenchos both invited me in but said that I could have only one girl whose picture wasn't all that attractive. You'll note in my Sapporo report, which appears further down, I stayed at the Mercure Hotel there in Susukino. It's a really nice hotel with a decent breakfast included for most stay packages. Location-wise it's a good choice for proximity to P4P action. But visitor friendly? Perhaps not. The problem is the lobby is on the 3rd (?) floor and guests have to pass directly by the lobby in order to gain access to any of the elevators which provide access to the rooms. (And elevator operation requires a swipe of your room key as well.) When I brought the Chinese girl back to my room the lobby staff eyed me suspiciously but didn't actually say anything.
