Paid a brief visit to Casablance and Carolina Club last night.
Casa had very few cars in the lot, and those that came in did not stay long. Still did not detect any reason for concern in personal security here - any more than other places, but was not worth the time regardless.
The vendors, all from the DR continue to be rather pushy, and a bit greedy. Attempts to get you to buy them anything from drinks to a trip to the bistro - which is ok, if it your idea, not so much when they are pushing you into it.
Still only found one vendor at Casa worth a second look, named Lou - odd name for a Dominican. Still just did not much care for things at Casa, so it was off to Carolina.
Noticed that Seaman's parking lot was standing room only, so looks like they are still holding their spot at the top of the monger food chain.
Carolina Club was much better than last time, with a good selection of vendors, Stephanie, Jenny and Carolina all worth a look.
From a security standpoint, Carolina has a night guard posted - but other than direct traffic, not exactly sure what purpose he serves. There are always either taxi drivers or stragglers hanging out at the front door, but they never seem to bug you.
Prices are negotiable, with $50 being their preference, but less often acceptable. along with the $3 room key fee.

Ok, am starting to see why Casa does not gain favor from members of the local constable office.
Went for an evening visit to see Shakira - who is worth just going to watch dance.
Crowd was very light, fewer than a dozen cars in the yard. While taking things in, just watching the flow of clients coming and going, I noticed a fellow in a plaid button down shirt, with a familiar bulge near the back of his right hip. Yep, boys and boys, he just happened to bend down revealing what looked like a .38 cal, short barrel.
There was no security in either the parking area or building, and as far as I know the gun never left its retainer.
Safe bet that he was not the only one heeled at Casa, and odds are same would apply elsewhere - I just happened to see this fellow first hand.
Aside from the potential to be a shooting gallery, Casa is otherwise unchanged. Not many clients, about 25 vendors, all from the Domincan Republic and most fairly aggressive and pushy. Starting prices at 50, makes it low on the value scale, in relation to Carolina or Seamans. Still, Shakira is worth a gander. Long, lean, natural and moves well to music. As long as you don't get shot - could be worse fates than watching her bounce around.
Carolina Saturday night was packed. The music was so loud it hurt, and forced me to leave, but few others seemed to mind. A stage show was keeping things amusing and there was a wealth of fine talent to keep even the most jaded among us from getting too bored.
Recommendations there would include, Lina, Stephanie, Jenny and Carolina. For those of you who like variety in your travels, as opposed to the novia approach.

Agreed on Casa, met a nice looking blond dom.. there a couple weeks back but the uncomfortable feel of the place overcame the interest I had in her.

You were correct. I thought I had a great deal, but just had a very good deal. I tried to purchase the same package w/o car inserting your code, and then going to get the car on my own, and saved 100 dollars.
I then contacted Orbitz and asked if I could still apply the code, and they said it was too late.

Max ...I had the same question and my friend, Pogostick, answered it before . Since this board is about sharing, I will share this info with you.
"If you don't mind very basic accommodations there are the Souiliga Guest House and the Joshua Rose Guest House. Both are downtown, but in areas with good parking. You get a basic private room with private bath, tv and air conditioning for around 40-50. Petite Chateau is a 5 min walk from either of them and virtually all the houses are within a 5-10 min drive."

The Blue Berry motel behind Seamans club (at the end of the side street, with blue roof) is functioning now for short time and overnight. Rooms are nice with flat screen tv, satellite, king bed, small fridge, airco. Get a room at the bar in Carolinas club. As far as getting around rent a car, ask for weekly rate budget is good, when you get to the airport compare rates. The island is easy to drive around not too complicated. Holland house is girl friendly center of dutch side on the beach resturant etc. You can take your girls anywhere, just think freedom and mutual respect and you will get on just fine. As far as the club scene go to them all and you decide which one is good for you. I like Defiance, Le Petit Chateau, Seamans Club, Casablanca, and Carolinas.
It's up to you. Enjoy your trip.

Bar fines change from time to time and are NOT the same at all.
Carolina: reasonable, $50 for the day shift, $50 for the night shift. $100 for 24 hours.
Seamans: expensive: $100 for the day shift, $100 for the mid shift and $100 for overnight. $300 for 24 hours. not good. perhaps you can negotiate, but I have had no luck.
Defiance (and I think petit chateau is the same, same owner): cheap in the afternoon, $25. complicated at night: $250? includes paying off part of the girls contract, part to the house. I have never done it so i don't know all the details. What about a girl who has paiid her contract off?
Casa Blanca, Sunset Retreat: don't know.
one more thing: there is usually not bar fine from closing in the early moring until check in time (11am at carolina/seamans, later at definace/petit chat).

In the same price range but nicer location is Captain Olivers. It's actually on the French side near the border. Quite close to Casa Blanca and near the new Westin resort that I think has a casino. A lot of mongers have stayed there as it is close to the brothels but still has a nice vacation feel to it.
Downtown Philipsburg is also an option. Horizon View Hotel is around $100 and actually has some decent parking arrangements with the church. Parking is the big hassle when staying downtown. But the boardwalk is nice, good choice of food and a few casinos all in a short walk and just minutes to the brothels. Downtown is actually pretty safe at night. There is also Holland House, Passagrahnn and the Seaview Hotel all downtown. Horizon View does have a fridge and microwave in the studios and a full kitchen in the beachfront 1 bedroom apartments. (about $20 more)
If price is an issue, there are a few guest houses downtown. The Souigla Guest house is right across from the salt pond, walking distance from Petite Chateau and has decent parking. Joshua Rose Guest House is on Back Street very near 2 casinos and the Greenhouse Restaurant. Either of those places should be around $50 and are decent enough and reasonably safe.
Any of the places mentioned are chica friendly.

The Maho Sonesta is awesome, Blueberry is right in the middle of the P4P scene so you have that going for you which is nice, saves you on cab fare.
If you rent a car heck you might as well stay on the east coast on the Oyster Pond Dawn Beach area, nice beach and a 10 min ride to all the P4P houses and you are nowhere near the big traffic headache of the Dutch West side namely Simpson bay area. I have been stuck for 45 mins trying to get from those nice casinos/maho area to the Philipsburh area. At least if you stay at Maho Sonesta you are on the other side of the congestion and have easy access to the nice casinos durng the day. When it comes time to hit the houses the traffic is already done so no big deal. Just to add all of the boats come in near Simpson Bay so the draw bridges go up ....
Also Maho Sonesta is in walking distance of tons of shops and restuarants and places to hang with your girl if you are renting her out for the day. And they got a beach.
The cock fights are a trip--to see the people in action is amazing. Bring mosquito spray. I got Dengue ever on the island as well as two friends of mine. It is very rampant on the island--You REALLY don't want to get it.

Downtown Philipsburg is also an option. Horizon View Hotel is around $100 and actually has some decent parking arrangements with the church. Parking is the big hassle when staying downtown. But the boardwalk is nice, good choice of food and a few casinos all in a short walk and just minutes to the brothels. Downtown is actually pretty safe at night. There is also Holland House, Passagrahnn and the Seaview Hotel all downtown. Horizon View does have a fridge and microwave in the studios and a full kitchen in the beachfront 1 bedroom apartments. (about $20 more)
If price is an issue, there are a few guest houses downtown. The Souigla Guest house is right across from the salt pond, walking distance from Petite Chateau and has decent parking. Joshua Rose Guest House is on Back Street very near 2 casinos and the Greenhouse Restaurant. Either of those places should be around $50 and are decent enough and reasonably safe.
Any of the places mentioned are chica friendly.
pogo Travel Inn in Simpson Bay is on the opposite side of the island of Capitan Olivers. Both are excellent choices, both chica friendly. If you want quiet more secluded go with Captain Olivers - plus there you are right behind the strip of mongerville and a great beach to boot.
Travel Inn at Simpson Bay is the other side of the traffic jam, closer to all the activity at Maho, chica friendly and like pogo says you've got the Strip club and the nice Casinos right there. I am not a fan of the Strip club by the eye candy is certainly appealing - just don't plan on getting laid unless you want to spend more than you airfare.
I for one would not want to stay anywhere in Philipsburgh as you get bombarded with Cruise Ship passengers and tons of tourists and some touts. It's a nice place to visit and do some shopping and stuff but it's great to get the hell out. Just an an FYI Maho area is a bit more upscale with the restuarants and shops and a little more congested compared to Captain Olivers area which gets my vote.

During the high season the bridge opens 6 times a day, totally stopping traffic.
Outbound boat traffic 9, am 11 am, and 5 Pm.
Inbount traffic 9:30 am, 11:30 am and 5:30 pm.
The traffic is very bad arond 5 pm.
Otherwise it is no biggie.
There are also building a roundabout at the intersection of the road that leads up the hill from cole bay near kentucky fried chicken. That should help traffic considerably. Late at night it takes me about 12 minutes to get from simpson bay using the back road to seamans.

I hit Defiance early afternoon; wonderfull young thing from Cali called Karen. Very sweet girl, seemed she worked in Bada Bing under the name Jennifer for a while but is now in Defiance. Well after reading all the info from the board I would like to do my part and contribute. I just got back from a week in St Maarten 18-25 Apr. I will try to post all the things to expect for a new guy arriving in St Maarten who has never been there. This was my first trip to the island and I did all my research on various sites such as this one.
Arrival: I flew in on US Airways and arrived about four in the afternoon. Nothing special about the airport. Customs and baggage claim were no issue. I was at the end of the line and it still only took about 30 min to get through it. After getting your bags you walk through the double doors into the main lobby with all the awaiting families and car rentals.
Transpo: I got a four pax car (see pic) from dollar rental for $165 for the whole week. You do not need an international license, a states side drives license will do. Something different than in the states is that the rentals are not kept at the airport. After doing the paper work you get in a van that transports you to car pickup about 2 min drive down the road along side the runway. Driving was not too bad. Most drivers are a little more aggressive but if you drive the same way you will fit right in. There is a draw bridge that opens at set scheduled times of the day (pic). That’s when traffic is at its worse.
Hotel: I stayed at the Sonest Great Bay Beach Resort. I got a deal on the room thought a gov discount. Excellent location right on the beach and walking distance to Front Street and back street in Philipsburg. I did notice the average age was about 50+ and a lot of families with kids so I don’t know if you would stand out bringing some company back to the room. I management would care less.
Clubs: I know everyone has there favorite but from what I read Seaman’s, Defiance and Carolinas seem to be the most talked about. Over the course of a week I had several women from each other than Defiance.
Seaman’s was easy enough to find. Just follow Suckergarder rd. Around the lake and you will see it on the left as you start up the hill. Most if not all the women are from Columbia. When you walk in its like walking into a regular bar room 60ft X 60ft. There is a small stage against one wall with pornos playing on a flat TV. Most of the women are sitting around the bar waiting for new customers. Not to overly pushy. The going rate was $50. Going back to the room you walk through a door near the back of the bar into a wide hallway with rooms on the right and left. All service I received was CBJ. Never had anyone ask for money upfront or was a starfish.
Carolinas is also easy to find but there is no sign on the building. I had to have driven past it four times before I had to ask for directions. Easiest way is take a right out of Seaman’s parking lot then take the next right which is about 300ft down the road. And then the next left about a quarter mile down the road and it will be the large building on the left. There is no sign on the building but you will see what looks like a restaurant at the far end. You can enter there and you will see the side entrance. Inside is the same setup as Seaman’s but just a little smaller and the music is louder. I would have to say all the women were Columbian and better looking. Still not overly pushy but I did see one thing I didn’t like. When a chic is on stage, other women are asking for you to give them a dollar so they can tip whoever is dancing. If you say no they just frown and walk away calling you cheap. The going rate was $50. Going back to the rooms is same as Seaman’s but you have to pay a $3 fee for the room. All service covered. I was quoted $400 to take out for the day and when I said too much she came down to $300. I would have but just wasn’t getting a good vibe.
Defiance: If you true left out of Seaman’s parking lot you drive up the road about two miles and its on the right. You can not miss it. It has an arch opening at the front. Same deal as all the other clubs but the room is much larger 80ft X 80ft. The bar is a large wrap around that the girls dance on while you drink your beer. Same rate $50. Most of the women were from DR and three or four from Columbia. Each time I went I never saw what I wanted so I never when back to the rooms.
Down time: If you’re an aviation enthusiast I suggest Maho beach to watch the planes takeoff and land. If you go on Utube you will see what I’m talking about. They have the arrival times of inbound flights listed on a surf board (pic) so you know when to keep a lookout. The cheese burgers are not too bad also.
Drive around the is land can be accomplished in 2 – 3 hours taking your time taking in the sights.
Departure: Same as arrival, no big deal. There has been mention of a departure fee but if you’re on one of the big airlines you do not need to pay (pic).
Language: I would recommend learning some Spanish although not required, but is does beak the ice had help feel a chic out. If all she says Hi and lets go to my room might lead to a rush service, but that’s just my opinion.
Cruise ships: If ships are at port you can expect to see a lot more Thais and Phili at the bar. One night I went there and a line was forming at the front door waiting for the club to open.
Well that pretty much all I have. I am not a subject mater expert on the island it’s just all the things I saw in my short first time there.

Normally the Phillipsburg Pharmacy on the way to the cruise ships has generic V but the last time I was there they were out and having trouble with the supply. So buy up in Colombia. That is where I restocked in February and prices were as low as 1K pesos for 50mg Vitamin V in quantity 10 or 20. Can't beat that!

Why is this? Because they are taking a huge risk by going. They pay airfare, visa, go through a process to get this and then while they are there they have to pay a daily fee to the house.
In their home country there are no fees, little risk, no daily payment, mom cooks daily and other relatives who live in the house are bringing in cash for the family. I know of girls that go to these islands and because of the competition, slow time of year or what have you they are breaking even. I would gess they shell out thousands of dollars in total to be there and the break even for a 3 month stint is about 3.5 tricks a day miminum.
So IMHO they are willing to please because they are away from their friends and family, more relaxed, don't have to worry about their uncle walking into the club (some of these girls refuse to work in their home city or even country EVER). This is their only shot to make money until they return god knows when.
You mentioned a specific type, young, thin, natural. You really narrowed it down and therefore getting the BBBJ/Anal was tough, not to mention you were only there for three days. You can do it the same day you get there on the way from the airport to your hotel. The price is $30. Sim card and $10 phone card.

You can buy a SIM from Telcel. There is an office on the left in Simpson Bay before you get to the bridge. But the main office is easier, in phillisburg. Drive around the pond normally toward downtown, at the main roundabout, turn left for petite chateau. about 200 yards down turn left and go into the new telem office. big building, big parking lot. about $20 to buy a sim. of course you need a quad band unlocked phone, but i presume you have that.

I am very happy to report that the general attitude of the girls at Casablanca, seems to have changed. Although I have been going to St Maarten since 1985 I think I may head over to Thailand next trip. The price of fun in St Maarten keeps going up. $50. 00 + room + drinks for 1/2 hour is a lot more than I make. I just can't justify the continuing price increases in this economy. MelThanks Mel, actually you have posted this before. I'm going to miss Seamans being a 20 year veteran. I actually liked hanging out there as much as any bar on the island. During my stay in SXM, I was able to visit Carolinas, Seamans, and Defiance, and Casa Blanca. Here's what I found:
Carolinas:

When leaving Carolinas turn left across from the Shell gas station. Abu gazi swarma, it is a stationary lunch truck if you go there after 2:00 am you will always see cars and people eating standing up or taking food home. The food is similar to a gyro. Many different meats to choose from also the veggie swarma is great. Check out the resturant in casa blance the whole fish is very good. Look in their kitchen it is very clean. I visited the new Seamans Club yesterday (the old buillding is now completely gone, except for the wall containing the old entrance facade).
The sign that used to be over the door is now posted in the empty lot next door with an arrow pointing down the alley. This is on the left side of Sucker Garden Road as you leave Philipsburg, just past the left turn at Edge Road for the zoo. You drive down this alley, which seems like a driveway for a 2 story apartment building, but keep going.
You come to a big gate, with a new parking lot to the right. As you pass thru the gate, the building with the girls rooms is straighahead and the bar is to your left, up a flight of stairs. The bar is big enough, very new and clean, does not have the charm of the old one and very bad acoustics. Most of the same girls as 2 weeks ago.

Ventured back out in the afternoon today and went back to Carolinas, met with Laura in room 1. About a 6 or 7 in looks, pretty average build. A columbuin about 24 or 25. Nice personality, some light kissing, but was a little rushed. Close but no leche in the 20 mins. Only 2-3 girls in the club around 3:30 pm.
Drove further up the road to Defiant and there were a good 5-7 girls at about 4:30. Went with a smoking hot 20 year old columbian named Verionika. Man, it is so sad hearing the old Seaman's gone. Carolina maybe got the edge with regard to the most beautiful girls, but sex was often a tad better in Seaman's, I would think. I sure have some very sweet memories from this place.
Many thanks to the guys who post about the developments in this interim period at Blueberry until a new Seaman's is erected 6- 8 months from now. Hopefully I will back in wintertime. The new bulding will not be ready by then. So I wonder:
- Are they able to create the same great atmosphere in Blueberry as in the old place, or is something missing?
- Are the selection of girls at the same level as we got used to at the old Seaman's?
- Is the sex still as good?

I'm thinking of planning a trip to St Maarten and would like to know where I should say. I was thinking on staying at the Westin as my base for my mongering. Also could someone left me know where I could find a map of the location where all of the "Clubs" are? There really isn't any good info on-line to the addresses and locations of Seaman, Carolina, Casa. As I will probably rent a car to save money on taxis, it would be a great help for suggestions.

In order to help you guys, I stopped at Seamans Club, even though I had an appointment 30 minutes later with another chica at another club. I grabbed the first girl I met in the courtyard, asked her name, told her she was cute, , then asked her how much.
She said $50, which is the same asking price that the girls had at the old Seamans Club. Last thirsday I went for the first time to the new seamen's. It's a room with a mere bar with tables and chairs. It's dark too. Never mind. I bought a beer and sat at a table. As soon as I began to drink, I saw the beautiful figure of a girl who was headed towards my table. This night and the following days, I spent good moments with her. There's no bar fee and each time I gave her 40$. The last time I went there, on Monday evening, I had no cash left, not even the 25$ she asked me when I told her that I was out of cash. Too bad! I noticed yesterday that they are adding a wing of additional bedrooms at carolina. as you go down the main hallway, there is a new hallway to the right,, sort of behind the restaurant. won't be finished for a while though in my opinion, but perhaps for next tourist season.

Oddly enough, rental cars are really cheap on SXM (almost everything else is expensive). I just checked and a small car starts at $122 a week including tax. 2 years ago I paid just $100 for the week. Book online from a major and pickup a the airport is no hassle.

I have used Ace Car rental the last 5 times I have been to island. Reserve on their site. It is usually around $130 wk for Hyund Elantra, can't beat that.

I usually reserve the best deal I can find online but when I arrive at the airport I go stand to stand asking for the best price. Sometimes you can save a bit this way and you still have a reservation as back-up.
I usually end up with Thrifty for between 100-160 per week, depending on the season.

the road from Cupecoy to Maho can be flooded if it rains a lot, plus there have been reports of robberies on the stretch through mullet bay "resort"
Pay attention when driving there at night...
I've never stayed at Cupecoy, but other timeshares are definitely g-friendly. Basically, they didn't care who you bring, as long as she doesn't stay with you for the entire stay/several days.
also, i've used tripadvisor_._com to get info on the timeshares/hotels where i was staying.

I am flying to St. Maarten Sunday August 2nd for a couple of nights. I have heard of a special Happy Hour at Defiance every first Sunday of the month. Is this true? Any advise if it’s worth visiting during Happy Hours or would it be crowded with the locals?
Also – anyone with a recent good experience wiat a particular girl that could provides? Thanks Mel & Zing on the direction and information for the new Seamans location. I will make sure to go and visit.

I believe happy hour satats about 3-4 possibly 5.
I would go directly to Defiance. The parking lot is safe as long as your stuff is in the trunk

I imagine I will not be ready until 4 or 5 pm.Not sure the last time you were in SXM nor where your hotel is located, but if you are sceduled to arrive at 3:00PM and you are staying at say Capt Olivers and the airport is busy or there is traffic or car rental office is busy you may not even get to your hotel until after 4PM. Plus check in takes time especially if you need to switch rooms or something. For me since I monger heavily in the hotel the room the AC, fridge, view of the ocean and such is tremendously important. So I am constantly asking for a different room or a colder mini fridge or whatever. Also I go for two weeks minimum so I'm never in a rush.
If after traveling for many hours you roll out of the plane fresh as a daisy and looking like a million bucks listen to Mel and just get your car at the airport, luggage in trunk and hit the hos.

If you made your reservation, and are needing a rental for a week or more, I would go back to Ace and look at it again.
I found a flat $25 off under specials. I re-reserved my mid-size car for the beginning of Oct for under $95, taxes included.

Since I havn't been served yet but I'm privy to the hearing date, if I get reservations in hand for the same date as the hearing it'll work as a delay tactic for a month or two. Nothing like an angry ex to drive a man offshore.
So the dilemma is where to go in Sept. Choices, SXM, BOG, CUR. SXM: my safe retreat with many friends but been there 4 times this year allready. Also sounds like pickings are slim right now and some of my friends are off to the states or home in holland for holiday. Plus it won't seem the same without seamans. When I was there in June it was not so great.
BOG: have to free ride to bog with AA but since I pissed off my novia there by going to sxm in June instead of to bog to see her I'd be wingin it, in a big unfamilar market. My iphone displays instant weather in bog and it looks like the weather has been great there. But it's always good in sxm & cur save hurricanes.

Beautician Marielys Sanchez Soto had come to St. Maarten to work for three months at the Casa Blanca brothel in Oyster Pond. She desperately needed money to provide for her children of five- and two-years-old, and to purchase some expensive medication for her mother.
Things took a bad turn for her on June 26, when she attacked and stabbed a co-worker with a knife during a fight over a regular customer of the establishment.
The victim was stabbed with a kitchen knife, and landed in intensive care with wounds to her chest, side, and right hand.
Sanchez Soto told Judge Rick Smid Thursday that she had been drinking alcohol and had become very enraged after she had been in a fight with her co-worker, during which she was attacked with a chair.
She stated she had retaliated out of self-defence because the victim had started a second fight by pulling her hair. She said she had then pulled the knife from underneath her clothes and had started to swing it at her adversary.
Prosecutor Rienk Mud qualified the incident as premeditated attempted murder, adding that the injuries were serious.
“She has been stabbing with the knife like a madman,” Mud said, before asking the court to impose a six-year prison sentence.
Attorney-at-law Anjenie Lachman pleaded for the acquittal of her client on the attempted murder charges. “A conviction of my client for attempted murder would be an exaggeration. She never stabbed to kill,” the lawyer said.
Lachman also said her client should be discharged from prosecution for attempted manslaughter because she would have acted out of self-defence. “The victim was the aggressor, and my client acted out of fear,” Lachman said.

Humor aside similar thing happened in April when I was at Seamans, dominicanas of course, didn't come to saber rattlling but the fists were flying and the girls got a big heavy fine with warning they'd get booted out if it happened again. Just one of a number of reasons I stay with the colombianas and avoid the domicanas, never had a great ride on one anyway.

So the goverment changed the work visa's to 6 months permanently? I wonder if the brothel operators will be writing 6 month contracts for the girls? If so I think that will change the attitude of the girls and maybe not in a good way. From my observations it seems 75% of their business is local guys anyway the asian grocery boys, indian jewelers and mixed and sundry other locals and if their on island that long their going to get wrapped up with a boyfriend for sure, so maybe that can be a downer for us traveling mongers getting the extras were accustomed to, would you agree?

Ace is a good place but if you have any problem my friend at Alpha gives me above board service and price. They are small but honest dependable and reasonable. I'm a bit anal about what I drive, which I know is not important to most mongers but I enjoy it and fringe benefit the girls love a jeep if you end up taking out. Always they have a new jeep ready for me when I hit the ground and the last time I went they were out of them so the co-owner June unloaded her new personal jeep and gave me it for the week.
