Before going to Carolina, I was in Seaman and Capitan. In Seaman, I just spend a little time here, very desappointed by the number of girl. In Seaman I meet Marina, Colombian dark skin girl, good body and face. If you go to Capitan, you have to meet her.

I arrived here late in the day.

Just got back from India. 6 weeks watching cricket. 2 weeks in Bangladesh with my Australian mate who has a sweat shop there in the rag trade and then finished it of with a week in each of Phuket and Bangkok.
Been in Cali for a week getting over my long trip back, also gripa.
My hotel has been full so didn't have a room anyway until this week.

I now know why many chicas left the club Friday night. As I was driving back from the ships store today I saw a sign thatsaid Daddy Yankee was at the Carnival Friday night, Wow was I bummed out. I really like reggatone and he is the elvis of that music.

The last few times I was there the pickings were kind of slim. I only go there when a chica I know will be working there. Is the refinery working?

The club really picked up around eleven at night. The going rate is still $50 for the chica with $3 for the room. For TLN the going rate is $75 for the bar and $300 for the chica.
Crystal- The club was mostly five to eight Colombian chicas ranging five to seven on the looks scale. Going rate was $50 for the room.
Seaman's- This is usually my favorite club but this trip it was dead. Only saw three Colombian chicas working and they were a four on the rating scale. Parking lot was empty most of the time. Don't know why they keep the bar open when no one is stopping in.
El Capitan- The club was filled with eight to twelve Dominican chicas ranging five to seven on the looks scale. The best time to hit the club was around eleven when the bar dancing starts. Never took a chica to the back room.

-The service was FS with CBJ for 30 mins but anything can go with more money. I only did the TLN for one night because I wanted someone to go to club Tantra with. In my opinion Carolinas is the best and only place to go now but things may pickup after a few months.

You should read good number of reports on this forum before going to SXM. It has tremendous information that will help you and make your experience a lot better. Usual rate at casas is $40-50 but it's all pretty much up to you for the rest.
I suggest being gentlemen. Buy ladies a drink, two or three. Be friendly, talkative even if not interested but do be very upfront about your intentions. They appreciate that. Good word goes around pretty quickly there. Chicas do talk about new faces. What goes on behind closed doors depends on game you spin and $$$ you willing to spend. No limits. I spent 2 weeks in St Martin and then sailed my boat home to NY. Arrived yesterday after 10 days at sea.
I found some great chicas at Carolinas especially Katrina room 21, Flacka at El Capitan, and also Tanya. I have seen Tanya on a number of islands and she is always sexy with a wicked smile. As I understand it the issue with seaman's is that since the video payoff from the owner of bada bing, the have been enforcing the rules at the clubs. I was in SXM for the 15th to 17th of May. I'll go to Seamen's, nobody inside, just 3 girls. The 3 girls come to me, seems like very dead. I'm desapointed because I like Seamen's room (better than Carolina).

Exactly 1 year to the day since I was in SXM. Away too long. Checked out Seamen's, zero, not even worth the drive down the alley. Headed to Carolina for Recon Thrusday nite, so so. Friday nite was better than a Casino Jackpot! I'm thinking one of the top three chica's I ever met in SXM in 10 years. She has a friend, let's say this is the"Dyanamic Dueo", Unreal! This price included the room.
60 $ for 20 min is in Capitan, the other other club are at 50 $ for 30 min. Room not included.
Pricing in SXM is not standardized. Each girl can ask what she wants. In most places you need to also pay a fee to the house of from $3 to $10. Short-time is 20 minutes to 30 minutes (depends on the place and time. When things are busier at night the house may have a guy knocking on the door after 20 minutes. During the day time, not as common). Price for short time is $30 to $60 depending on how desperate and or hot she is and how good a negotiator you are. I usually go an hour, give the girl $6 for the room, and pay her $100 afterwards without any discussion beforehand.

Since this board has gone fairly quiet I thought I would share an experience I had this past winter in SXM. I had returned for my annual visit to the lusty island. I had done the tour of Suckergarden clubs and found Carolinas with the most action to my liking. I had returned several evenings in a row and kept getting latched onto by the same Colombian girl. Eventually, you should expect that her personal needs may come to you as requests for help. This is very common in Colombia, both with gringo boyfriends and Colombian boyfriends. You can say NO, but it may be difficult.
Second, playing in St Maarten is not the same as living together in Colombia. That is real life. You don't really know her until you experience her in her home environment, with her family, with her problems, etc. She may have other sides to her personality that you do not like.
Third, don't get her pregnant until way later in the relationship, if ever.
Fourth, your Spanish should be pretty good before you get involved.

Enjoy your time with her and don't try to second guess everything. And don't do anything financially foolish. A few years ago there was a medical student who got hooked on a girl at Carolinas, but he never told her that he had limited funds. Bottom line?When I used the term "sage advice" I was referring to posts by others on the subject. You can go back through this thread and learn tons from guys like Zing, Rutard, and Mel. I think you just have to assess your goals, while thinking between the ears and not between the legs, and decide how far you are willing and able to take it. For me, I am not looking to marry, but I do like the "Friends with Benefits" arrangement, I. E, getting to know a woman and having great sex, but no other commitments except friendship. St. Maarten allows me to pursue this kind of relationship easily because you already know you are going to have great sex whether you pay for it or not. I just have to decide which girl I want to develop a friendship with. So I start the week by canvassing the clubs, usually once when they first open and again in the early evening. I do 1/2 hr sessions with the girls I am attracted to. After a couple days, based upon the chemistry of the session, I pick a couple of the chicas to extend the sessions to one hour in the room. Based upon that, I repeat with my favorite in the room. By this time, the chica is wanting to do TLN or a couple hours out in the afternoon. I have never had a chica that I have had several sessions with ask me for money to do so. So the only question there is whether you want to attach some kind of stigma to choosing it as a source of employment. Personally, I have no problems with it and it has not affected how I view these women. In the Dominican Republic, house cleaning employees make about $250 / month. A bank employee maybe $400 / month. In Colombia, the average monthly wage is just $700 / month. A secretary with a college degree makes around $400 / month. An engineer might make $1500-2000 / month. Many of these girls have children or multiple children, and perhaps live with a parent. Basic necessities are about all they can get. But it does not mean that they are looking to take you to the cleaners for anything. Just, perhaps, looking for a bit of a better, more stable life which might include a relocation into the USA or elsewhere, if marriage was in the picture somewhere down the road. That they would want to better their situation for themselves, and or their family is not a sin. So Shark, follow your instincts. Decide what effort you want to make to pursue the relationship. At worst, you go to Colombia and find that the circumstances surrounding the woman are too much of a burden. Then, you are free to spend the rest of your time there scouting new local talent. At best, you find it to be worth the effort and a great relationship ensues. Just be smart, and play out the different scenarios and be prepared to deal with them. They have WAY more money to spend than the average Colombiana. They buy expensive gifts for their kids like Ipads, iphones, computers and they like to buy themselves clothes and what's not. And then they have their monthly costs, insurances, education for their kids, food, housing, you name it. Most probably they don't want to give all that up. Most of them don't have any education so there's just no way they'll make that kind of money with a 'regular' job. So either you pay for all that or they keep on prostituting themselves while being your 'girlfriend'. That's pretty much the bottomline I guess.

Continuing this discussion of visiting ST Maarten girls in Colombia. I have done this a LOT, as well as dating other working girls in Colombia, dating girls from the internet, and picking up regular girls in the supermarket. Based on my scientific research there are not hard and fast rules.

It was not my intention to come out as a "no pago" guy. That's just cold, I think. Just saying when you're invited to visit them in Colombia, they're most probably going to expect something materially (money or gifts). Obviously the reasons are her background. She knows a lot of fellow chica's who have relationships with (rich) Western guys and they pretty much all are getting gifts. She compares your relationship to the others and when all her friends get gifts, she assumes it's normal and will want the same from you. Nonpro's have different backgrounds, their nonpro's girlfriends don't get these gifts. But the pro's do and they think it's normal. Don't forget, most of her girlfriends will most probably be pro's too ! It's almost like it's a kind of culture they're getting used to in the *****house. Which brings me to the second point: you can get a chica out of the *****house but can you get the *****house out of the chica? Most probably at times, especially when she's drunk for example, these old habits kick back in and she'll ask you for something. Especially if she's been doing this work for quite a while.
And there's the fact that I've mentioned before: these girls are used to a lifestyle. She's going to want to be able to give her child nice presents. If you can't supply for that, she's going to be prostituting again. Don't expect these girls to go back to their former job in the supermarket where they made $400 / month. And there's another reason. Most of these pro's had a job before prostituting themselves and most of the times, they made enough to support their living. But they wanted more! They wanted to be able to give their child an iphone, they wanted to have nice clothes etc. So they sell their pussy in order to get all this. To say this makes them materialistic is probably an understatement. They do LOVE money!
That being said, I just read Routard's reports, very interesting reads and I agree to pretty much all he says. And the fact that these girls most probably are expecting at least some money / gifts does not automatically mean that they don't have feelings for you. Ok, if you need them to pay $200 / day just to be with them, then forget about it, you're just a client. Pedro's, The Perch Bar on Orient Beach and even the restaurant at Captain Oliver's which has a great breakfast buffet won't be open. They don't open until after October 1st, but there will be enough action to keep me busy for four days. Will post new intell upon my return.

I'll stop by here one evening. One of the first places I ever checked out in the early 90's, back when it was known as the Border Bar. They've actually did a nice job remodeling the bar, and there is a pool table that's right where the action is, unlike the tables in the outer vestibule at Petite Chateau. It's a very local place, but there's great musica and some hidden gems. Despite the lack of appeal to this place, I like the feel and it's got a cool vibe and non-touristy atmosphere by far. Plus it's not open during the day. I think the only place on island that's purely evening. The place doesn't really get going until well after 10 pm though, so it's geared for the night owls. I usually stay in Oyster Pond so it's close, and CasaBlanca is the backup plan on the way home, if Sunset Retreat turns out to be disappointing. Thanks for the reply!

Yes Zing, you are correct. I remember going in the back way in the past during the day and finding the smaller bar, but I went around lunchtime and the crew was all eating, and they were actually suprised that I popped in and found the place. Up the steep side road behind the building as you said. I was so early they didn't even have a bartender yet! May be worth a stop by later in the afternoon for a quick preview of the night lineup!

was in sxm for five days last week. went to carolinas and petit chateau. the first because i used to get good service there, the second because it is easy walking distance form philipsburg (carolinas is ten minutes more).
carolinas seemed almost dead. there were some rather inactive girls. sometimes someone would peek at the door and then probably decided to go on (to crystal?). had a disappointing session one evening with a girl calling hersel marianna.

Thoughts?Info@bestdealscarrental Dot com is probably the largest and reliable on the island and walkable from the airport but I am sure they will pick you up at the baggage claim. You will still need to arrange someone to meet you at the time of night I believe.

Thoughts?Choose which rental company you want to use, or even a few of them. Then give them a call and they will work it out for you. A few of the car rental booths at the airport will be open until the last scheduled flight arrives. Either way, you will be on wheels with no problem. I've had late arrivals after midnite due to delays and never had a problem getting a car.

Just got back from 4 days on the island. I have mixed feelings about this trip. Some highs and some lows. Here are some bits of info regarding current situation on the island.
Flight down from Miami was packed. Maybe because USAir is now only flying on weekends in Sept, or people are being adventurous in Sept. With lack of hurricane activity. Anyway, aside from normal traffic, ride into Philipsburg wasn't bad. Construction on the causeway across Simpson Bay Lagoon continues, but has no impact on traffic flow.
Le Petite Chateau. Took my obligatory stroll through during the first afternoon. Dark as usual. Grabbed a beer and headed out to the courtyard (exit the right side door). Here you can get a much better view of who you might want to take a romp with. Then, you will really reconsider why you are even giving it any thought! The daylight will really give you a better look at what the darkness in the club covers up! All Dominicanas. Nice ladies, but none to my liking.
Carolina's. Really disappointed in this place this trip. As mentioned in a previous report. Only a dozen or so chicas. No stunners or knockouts this go around. Once they hit the bar area, if you gave them no indication of interest, they buried their heads down into their smartphones and texted away. At one point. 5 of them were against the wall near the door to the restaurant, heads down, looking like daytraders! Went during the day and at night and at the prime times when they are supposed to sign in to catch the entire lineup. And this lineup was the weakest I'd ever seen. But hey, it's September.
Crystals. Across the street from Carolina's. Place was quiet. A couple of older Columbians working. Around 6's. One said she was 32, another said 40, which I was quite surprised at! Claudia and Wendy, rooms 6 and 7, might be worth a visit, but I just engaged in bar talk with them. They didn't do anything for me. I really took the time to take in the renovated bar and they did quite a nice job with it. It's a thousand percent improvement over the previous hell hole, and I grabbed my beer, hung out at a table and just enjoyed the atmosphere. I only saw about a half dozen chicas. During the day, they bounce between the restaurant next door, the call shack, the little clothing store, and the market at the corner of Arch Road, so even though they are technically on the clock, when it's slow, they tend to wander the general vicinity.
El Capitan. Popped in here twice. Dominicanas. Aggressive, place is dark, always the one you want to avoid latches on to you before you even make it to the bar. Saw a stunner in the parking lot during the day (assumed she worked there) in civilian clothes heading out. But when I came back the next time to see if she was working, she was not to be found.
Seaman's. Based on Zing's intell, I didn't even bother driving down the road to check for myself if the place was open, nor did I ask.
Defiance. Ended up doing my first take out here with a cute light skinned Dominicana, with a great body, nice ass, and a full natural rack. I worked on her for 2 days, getting acquainted. She really wanted to get out for an afternoon. Said she was stressed and referred to the place like prison. We agreed on me picking her up at 2:30 pm and returning at 7 pm for an afternoon at my place in Oyster Pond. I showed up a bit late and she was eating and I said we could do it on Sunday (this was Sat.) She was adamant about going with me that day. And not from a sellers perspective. I said what the heck. She said it was $100.00 for the bar. And then that was it. I only had $70 on me, she said I could pay the bar the rest upon our return. So, off to her room where she changed into something, she grabs her passport, (she was very concerned about this, then I realized we were going to the French side and she needed it) , and off we go! I'm 5 minutes away. Anyway, great, fun afternoon. She dug the villa I rent, we found a TV station playing Latin videos, I bought her Tequila which she wanted. Pretty much a GFE experience, although her phone buzzed quite a few times, but she wasn't attached to it. We drank a bottle of wine, then went out and enjoyed the pool. Back inside for round two. Took a shower together, danced bachata, and then wouldn't you know it. 7 pm rolls around. So I take her back to Defiance and give her the $30.00 for the balance due the bar. I had a bill in my pocket to give her as a tip. She asks if I can give her $20.00 so she can buy some things she needs and I've got my hand on a $50.00 in my pocket that made her eyes light up! So for 3+ hours of a GFE late afternoon on my home turf, with some great pool action included, this was, by far the highlight of my trip!
CasaBlanca. Lots to talk about here. First, they put a big billboard advertising the place out in front. So much for being a private secret. If you're with a significant other and are staying at the Westin, or Oyster Pond, or Dawn Beach, they can't help but notice that it's a gentlemen's club when you drive by. Also, they must be getting either a lot of dykes or female voyeurs coming to the club, because a sign at the entrance is now charging a $5.00 cover for females over 21. I guess you get in free if you can prove you're younger! LOL! They went up on the price of bottle beer to $3.00 a pop as of August 1st. Also, on Monday, from 6 pm to 1 am They have a menage a trois special. You and 2 girls for $75.00 for 20 minutes. I left on a Monday, my luck. Lineup wasn't too bad here. Rooms have been renovated. A / C and flat screen tvs. The better looking chicas don't come out until evening. Guess they hang in their rooms in the afternoon. Restaurant is still open in the back. A good place of refuge to rid yourself of an undesireable chica that latches on to you. Excuse yourself and either go to the bathroom or go right to the restaurant. Lot's of locals here, as well as Defiance and Sunset Retreat, so try not to stick out as a tourist too much. Also, saw a sign that it's $50.00 before 4 am And $60.00 after 4:00 am This place stays open the latest. All the other clubs were closed by 4 am When I did some early morning recon.
Sunset Retreat. Go here in the afternoon to the smaller bar. DJ spinning latin tunes, you get to see the lineup with good lighting. And it's a local crowd. As Zing mentioned in a previous post. You can then determine if you want to come back at night and park in the lot across the street and make the long walk up the stairs into the evening bar. I went here the night after I visited during the day. A couple of possibilities.
Construction to one lane right at the Dutch / French border in Oyster Pond, and also along Coralita Road heading to Orleans. I spent Saturday afternoon in Phiipsburg on the boardwalk watching all the chicks from the Carnival Cruise ship frolicking in the water of Great Bay! These were the best looking girls on the island this trip! The tourists!
Oh, and "C" is easily available. Pharmacy close to the police station sells 20 mg for 16 bucks a pop. Brand name, not generic. Also, stumbled upon a guesthouse next to the pharmacy on the street where the police station is. One more over from Back Street, and they were renting rooms for $55.00 a night. Not a bad deal if you're looking for something in town and just a place to crash. Place doesn't have an website, but PM me for the owners email address.
All in all, an ok trip. I knew the island would be slow in September. But the talent was way down in my estimation. I was really disappointed in Carolina's. Girls seemed to be in cruise ship customer mode all the time. Head further inland for some better experiences ClubTed out!

Expedia excluded places that didn't meet my criteria, and gave me Europcar. $178 / week. Open 7-11.
The guy at Payless told me that, during high season, you need to book ahead or risk not finding a car anywhere. Not true?
Choose which rental company you want to use, or even a few of them. Then give them a call and they will work it out for you. A few of the car rental booths at the airport will be open until the last scheduled flight arrives. Either way, you will be on wheels with no problem. I've had late arrivals after midnite due to delays and never had a problem getting a car.

?Can't blame you for wanting to be prepared. I usually use Thrifty with no problems or scams but I've never needed them for a late arrival. The few times I've chanced it there has always been an open kiosk but no bargains. Check your PM for another place to look.

Secondly, are these all on the Dutch-side, or are there similar places on the French side? Pretty important for where I decide to lay my head. LOL Lastly, prices identified seem to vary widely. Is this really the case or is this a function of low season compared to high season? I am considering going before Christmas, which I assume is high season.

St. Martin's premiere strip club "The Platinum Room" has apparantly made made a promo video which can be found on You Tube. It's a bit blurry, but you will get a glimpse of facilities and girls. I am planning on heading down to SXM for my first trip to check the place out. I'll just be popping down there for two nights in about 3 weeks (mid-October). Just a quick scouting trip for my first time. I've done as much research as I can but wanted to check with you guys about a few details. So, here's my plan (sprinkled with a few questions throughout).
From reading this forum, it sounds like I just need to head over to Carolina's since Seamen's is closed and I can probably ignore all of the other clubs if I'm not so much into the darker skinned girls. That's my plan anyways. If I don't find anything I like at Carolina's, I suppose I could check out some of the other clubs just to check out their line-ups. If I can't find anyone in my criteria at any of these clubs, I suppose I'll pass the time watching the girls dance at the overpriced strip clubs by the airport. It sounds like there are a bunch of cute Eastern Europeans (my favorite!) at those strip clubs, so worse case scenario, I suppose I watch some of that eye candy at the strip clubs to pass the time. But hopefully I will like what I find at Carolina's and I won't have to be that frustrated guy at the airport strip clubs. I know you guys can't give me a warranty on the quality of the girls. That's why I'm making the trip down there to see for myself.
Looking at the weather, it looks like October is usually pretty hot and muggy, even in the evening according to my research. Will I be out of place if I show up in the "clubs" wearing shorts, sandals, and a t-shirt? Or does everyone pretty much wear jeans to these places? You might think this a silly question but I've never been there so I just wasn't sure about the dressing etiquette in these clubs. I also don't want to have to unnecessarily double-pack a bunch of clothes.
I've read that the most of ATMs down there give you the choice of local currency or US dollars on the south side of the island. Does everyone usually use the ATMs down there, or do folks usually prefer to just bring enough cash with them from the States for their "recreational" activities?
As I'll be arriving late on a Friday night, all of the car rental agencies will be closed. I assume that I'll have no problem finding a taxi from the airport to my hotel and then from the hotel to each club and back? I assume that my hotel and the clubs will call the taxis for me since I won't have a working cell phone, at least not on my first night there before I can find a SIM card place the next day. I know I can make an appointment for the car rental people to meet me after-hours at an appointed time, but that sounds like a hassle and what if my plane is late? Etc. Etc. So, I think I will just do the taxi thing my first night and then pick up a rental car the next day on Saturday for my last night there. Plus, I figure the taxi drivers will know where to go better than me my first night there anyways.

There are ALWAYS guys outside Carolinas who will drive you back to your hotel. Some are licensed taxi drivers, some are not. I have never noticed any difference in their reliability. At Carolinas, expect to pay $50 for 30 minutes, $100 for an hour, plus the room fee which you had correct at $3/$6. Drinks are cheap, so don't be cheap. Dress code is whatever you want. Locals wear long pants, informal. I usually go in shorts, but sometimes I wear long pants at night if it isn't too hot. Carolinas bar opens at 11am, but there may not be many girls in the bar at that time. Don't hesitate to ask the bartender where the girls are, or even go back into the hotel and roam around or sit in the lounge sofa and say hello to girls as they walk by. Across the street is Crystal Club, which also has Colombian girls.sometimes very hot, usually not. Don't be afraid to invite a girl to go to Orient Bay beach for some sun, drinks and food. No need to offer money for her time if the club is not busy. This can be a lot of fun, and can lead to great sex later in her room (after shower, cleaning up, relaxing). The rental car guy won't mind. They like the business. This isn't NYC where you can hail a licensed and bonded cab anywhere. Its a sparsely populated tropical island. Having your own car is MUCH better. The driving in SXM is easy. Its not like the DR. And do really want to catch a ride with a sketchy guy at 2 am? Stop drinking about 2 hours before you leave and drive yourself.
Otherwise, sticking to Carolinas and Seamans is a good plan. Having visited there many times, I have visited the other places very briefly (as in 10 seconds) looked inside, and always had back to one of those two, which are about equivalent. Carolinas has more light and louder music, while Seamans is darker and more of a dive (in a good way). Depends on what you like.

Also can recommend to you restaurants and other information if you are interested. I have been there quite often this past year, but always have girls I know from Colombia with me, so I do not do any mongering. It is also correct that everything goes through Bogota. I have seen flights on Copa in the past however that go directly into Aruba from Cartagena and Medellin, but none recently. Colombianas do need a visa if anyone is interested in bringing company from Colombia with them.

I dot dengue fever in St martin about 5 years ago-the only thing that helped was morphine.

In the FKKs, we get little money lockers too to put our valuables in while we're in the club. Then, when it's time to pay, we both head over to the lockers to finalize the transaction. There have been almost zero reports of guys money disappearing from their clothes. More often, the guy runs off without paying or even figures out where she keeps her earnings and steals it all while she is showering. Yes, showers afterwards are normal. Remember the girls have immigration visas to work in this one club and have invested a lot of money (often borrowed at very high interest rates) to be there. They do not jeopardize that investment.
If you want to have extra things, like mouthwash, a pocket rocket vibrator, special massage oil, gifts, or your own private towel, you just bring it in a plastic shopping bag or a man-purse! Or in the pockets of your jacket.

First of all, Zings response to U-Happy was absolutely correct of course. There is nothing to add really. The FKK clubs are very different from the chica bars, and SXM must be valued for its own qualities. Still, just wanted to play a little bit with Zing's heading as both Zing, U-Happy and myself have experience with the FKK scene and this is U-Happy's virgin trip to SXM:
One little, still important detail that the SXM chica bars and FKK clubs actually have in common is the chill-out atmosphere both places where you can hang around with the girls as long as you wish with no pressure to go to the rooms (FKK: Think living room, garden and bar. SXM: The bar area). You can lean back, watch the scene, chill, talk with the chicas, learning to know them before you make a decision, and generally have a great time. This relaxed and "no pressure" atmosphere very much leads to great sex simply because you are making better decisions in such an environment. It's important to be aware of this advantage, and I think this is the main reason why I enjoy both these scenes so much (contrary to brothel-like places where you need to make a decision in a split second and then leave when things are done).
I am sure U-Happy has the experience to recognize and fend off the first two aggressive girls that approach him (yes, they are here too!) , finding the best place in the bar with a great overview, taking his time observing the line-up, finding who is always popular by the guys, making note of who always are too quick and leave the guys unhappy, capable of ignoring those girls that always position themselves in the front and identifying a possible jewel in the back, buying the girls drinks and learning to know them (I hope your Spanish is good!). The ethnic distribution of the girls is the same. The vibe of the two places is different. SXM places are a bar with rooms. You get the vibe that you are "picking them up" (even though you clearly aren't). Campo is a very large, open air brothel, which does have its charms as well. Personally, I would like the set up of Campo better, but the girls at SXM are definitely better looking. But personally, as a first timer in the area, even though it has seen better days, I would still reccomend Campo. Its a more unique experience. You won't find anything else quite like it in the world.
At either place, I would definitely get a car. Campo is in the boonies, near the airport. You may say that you don't want to do tourist things, but if you plan that way, you will be bored out of your mind.

Planning a 2-3 days short trip to the Caribbean for some fun, mainly mongering.Here are my $.02:
1. Very short (2-3 day) trip. Campo. It's not going to be easy to see all the "talent" in SXM in 2-3 days, let alone make a "connection," while in Campo you can see almost all of them in 1-3 hours.
2. Mongering in the morning / afternoon. SXM, unless you'll be able to schedule an afternoon date (s) with the Campo chica (s) from the prev. Night.
3. TLN. SXM, especially if going back to your hotel. IMHO, in SXM it's cheaper, easier and chicas are used to that.
4. During hurricane season. Campo.
5. Cost (30 min in the room). Campo.
6. Perceived safety. Campo feels safer than inside / near / around SXM "clubs"
7. I don't know exactly why, but I prefer SXM. Does anyone else have a preference?

Thanks everyone for your respond to my request. After gathering more info in the last couple days, it looks like Curacao is more practical than SXM due to flight schedule. I have not been able to find a direct PM flight from MIA to SXM. They all want to fly me somewhere else then arrive SXM the following day. With limited time, this is not going to work for me, though after reading more here, SXM is probably more of my kind place than the Campo. Other than the Campo, is there any other bars with working chicas in Curacao?

As I'll be arriving late on a Friday night, all of the car rental agencies will be closed. I assume that I'll have no problem finding a taxi from the airport to my hotel and then from the hotel to each club and back? I assume that my hotel and the clubs will call the taxis for me since I won't have a working cell phone, at least not on my first night there before I can find a SIM card place the next day. I know I can make an appointment for the car rental people to meet me after-hours at an appointed time, but that sounds like a hassle and what if my plane is late? Etc. Etc. So, I think I will just do the taxi thing my first night and then pick up a rental car the next day on Saturday for my last night there. Plus, I figure the taxi drivers will know where to go better than me my first night there anyways.If you need a rental car for a good price, Call Dave at Coastal Car Rental in sxm. He might be able to get a driver to pick you up at the airport when you land. Maybe you can work out all the details before you get there or pick you up early from the hotel on Saturday. He also offers GPS units for a small fee and it already has several places recorded on it so you can drive around without getting lost, you can ask him to add the places you want to go to if there not already on it. No need to be shy about why you want to go there, They appreciate the business. Granted when I go there it's for a full week and I've known him for years. If you have PM's I can get you his info if you need it but it should be easy to get. Have fun. I think I'll be going again in January myself. Can't wait LOL.

Another reason is that if you have several sessions with one girl in Campo and then go to another, the first one will probably create "a scene" and you may lose the "privileges" that you earn over the previous visits. In SXM, with some minimal precautions, you can have a "novia" in each of the 6-7 bars. If you're there 14 days, a variety is a bonus.
But to be 100% honest, I don't know why I prefer SXM. Why are some people attracted to particular locales? Maybe it's simply because my flights to SXM are shorter and have fewer layovers?
Most important is to have fun wherever you're going to end up going, and not to regret and think "what if." So, enjoy the trip!

first timer sxm experience / logistics.
gentlemen, many thanks to all of you who helped me with my newbie questions before my first trip this last weekend. here is part 1 of my sxm trip report. the chica info isn't in this part 1 report, so if you're looking for that, please jump to my next posts.
i am not fortunate enough to live in a city with a direct flight to sxm so i had to take a connecting flight through miami with a layover lasting a few hours. i flew american airlines. for others planning a flight through mia to sxm, you should consider that your bags will be checked through all the way to your final destination sxm as you would expect when going there, but on the way back, you will need to retrieve your bags at baggage claim in mia to clear customs and security. so, on the way back, just make sure your layover is long enough to allow for all that jazz. for me, from plane touchdown, getting my bags, clearing security, and then finding my new gate, it took me an hour and five minutes. i wouldn't recommend flying into mia on a return trip with a short "hot" connection of less than 1. 5 hours just to be on the safe side. you don't want to risk missing your connecting flight on the way back.
even though sxm is way closer to me than europe, this connecting flight with the layover makes my flight to sxm last about as much as long as a transatlantic direct flight to europe. plus, the plane ticket ended up costing me about the same as a nonstop flight to germany. so, in trip time and trip cost, i'm about even between these two options. that being said, cost of activities in sxm is at a substantial discount compared to germany.
in any case, i landed in sxm just before 7 pm on friday night. i ended up going with sixt for my rental car. from touchdown to the arrivals hall, it took me all of 32 minutes to clear passport control and pick up my bags. the sixt guy picking me up at the airport arrived within 4 minutes of our appointment time. i was his only pickup from my flight. sixt just opened on the island about 6 months ago, so all of their offerings are pretty much brand new. the prices were great too. the sixt office is right across the street from the airport, so our shuttle ride only took all of two minutes. sixt is the first car rental lot just before all the other car rental agency lots.
after picking up my rental car, i found my way to the hotel. i chose the villas at simpson bay. paid $119 per night for 2 nights (total $238). the property seems rather large. it has 83 units total. their parking area is gated off and manned 24/7 by a security guard. their reception desk is also open 24/7, which is handy if you happen to be arriving in town really late. the rooms were quite spacious, nice balcony view of water. it exceeded my expectations. the only downsides are their 10 am checkout time and that it's located in the simpson bay area.
i didn't realize how long it would take for me to drive to phillipsburg and back every day. sxm is apparently the home of small, windy roads with a crazy proliferation of speed bumps. the speed bump manufacturers must be in bed with the sxm's government administration or something. plus, you can tell that sxm takes their speed bumps really seriously. these speed bumps aren't your pansy, run-of-the-mill speed bumps. no sirree! these are practically little mountains. you have to really slow down for these things, especially if you're in a compact car like the one i rented.
driving around late in the evening between 8 pm and 10 pm, the island seemed fairly active and busy with plenty of people. as i drove from the airport area to the simpson bay area, i noticed that big, long row of restaurants. the parking along that street seemed to be fairly full. i was expecting a more quiet island given that i was there supposedly in off season. i was thinking that there would be less people than there actually was.
to get around town, i used an android app on my phone called mapfactor: gps navigation by mapfactor. i needed something with offline maps of sxm since i knew i wouldn't have cell service until i got around to picking up one of those sim cards somewhere. not only does this app allow you to download an offline map of sxm using the freely available open maps street data, i was able to type in the gps coordinates of every location i needed to get to. i pulled all of the gps coordinates from shark16's google map for this purpose.
as it turns out, i never actually found a sim card on the island. i found one sim card office on saturday, but the damn telem office is only open monday through friday. no matter, my company iphone has worldwide data so i was able to get by with that thing.
oh, and one more logistical item for newbies like me: when you fill up your car with gas, the amount showing up on the gas pump when you fill up is shown in the local currency florians. so the pump will actually say $18 dollars when you've only put in $10 usd which actually isn't that much gas at all (maybe an eighth of a tank?).

Friday Night on the Town.
In preparation for my trip, I started abstaining from molesting myself about 4 days before touching down in SXM. I knew I'd have two full nights of activities and would need to save up my love juice for sharing with the ladies.
By the time, I checked in at my hotel and found my way to my first destination it was about 10:30 pm when I arrive at Carolina's. English seemed to work fine with most of the girls I talked to. They all seemed to have varying levels of English. I have some rudimentary Spanish, too. In the end, I didn't find communication to pose any big problem at all.
When I arrived, there were about 8 or 9 girls out in the bar area with plenty of guys around. I asked one of the girls how many were working that night and I was told that there were 18 girls working but for that to be true, there would have had to have been lots of girls in the room.
All of that being said, I ended up having a good time over my weekend there because I found one petite girl with a great body that made my entire vacation there very special. She did confirm to me when I asked her when I asked her at one point whether someone would come knocking on the door that it was indeed her job to watch the time.
Laura is in room 10 right now, but that piece of information will quickly become unhelpful since according to the girls, a bunch more girls are expected to arrive next week. So, the girls will be moving rooms and having to share rooms with other girls. So, it's very possible that she'll be in a different room when you go to see her. I learned that she's been there for 4 months of her 6 month stay now.

day number 2: saturday.
since i woke up too early to head out to carolina's, i decided to check out the phillipsburg market area before making my way over to carolina's at 11 am. i walked a bit down front street too but just didn't have the attention span for shitty island shopping, especially when laura would be waiting for me to make my love juice deliveries.
i got to carolina's at 11:20 am. at 11:20 am, there were about 9 guys and only 3 chicks out at that time. i didn't see anyone i would have been interested in there that early, so i had no choice but wait for my laura.

another lesson in island time once again. when the casas say they open up again at 8 pm, they really mean 9 pm. none of the other casas had their chicks out yet.

i did ask laura, out of curiosity mostly, how much toda la noche would cost with her. she quoted me $70 to the club and $500 for her. when i asked what time i would have to return her to the club, she said 10 am. i didn't take her up on her offer. i was only curious.
when i said goodbye to her, she actually said that she had worked enough and that she was done working for the night and that she wasn't going to work anymore that night. so, to all the men that went up to laura and got turned down saturday night, you can blame me for that one.

Just a couple of comments from me:

That is basically due to traffic of course. From Simpson Bay to Phillipsburg / Suckergarden I would estimate 20 mnts in daytime / evening and 10 mnts at night. But never rush it. It's island time, and you better get used to it. If it takes 30- 40 mnts, it will do just that. Nothing you can do about it. :)

SXM is for latina lovers (I happen to be one of them). Skinny petite girls are in minority and are quickly taken away for TLN's early in the night. Man, is that annoying. Still, you need to be aware this is primarily for the girls' safety. Sad, but necessary at times the girls have told me.
Anyway, most of the time this is not an issue. If you and the girl want to go over time, then just do that. No problem. The girl will be happy that you stay longer. But, you need to pay the extra room fee to the front desk upon leaving the room after the deed (no need to stop in the act though). Here is a somewhat interesting story from Platinum last year that I have not shared yet:

I am going to confirm that Platinum is full of cold sharks but there is a small secret. Find the hot girls that are near to going home. You do have to be patient, polite and buy $10 girl drinks. But these girls are tired of working 6 days a week and just want to get out of the club. You pay the house fee, which is ultra high at $250. But once out show them a good time at Le Shore, Bliss, Tantra etc. They become much more willing to play for less. It works even better if you get them the night before the one day they have off because there is a chance they will hang out the next day just for drink and food and you do not have to pay the house fee again. I have done this several times and the damage was less than $500 for 2 days. Still very expensive.
So here is the reality. Only play this game if you are willing to part with the house money and can truly be happy if just end upnwith dance, drink and having fun with a hot CIS type. And only do this if she is really hot.
In short, the casas are the way to go for sex and more sex. And a few of the girls are at least as hot as those at Platinum but you have time it just right to get them.

I would never use that phrase on daytime acitivities, so there you have the confusion. $500 for a 22- 24 hrs takeout makes a lot more sense. Note: The latter would probably mean paying the bar fine of 70 twice (night + day fine).

Personally I am not a big fan of too much negotiating and will not encourage it. Ok, maybe a discount on a day + night combo or multiple days takeout. Otherwise not. My philosophy is that the more you are decent with a girl, the greater chance it is that she will be decent to you (creating a relaxing and friendly atmosphere which leads to better sex, which is my ultimate goal). Thus I try to stick to the going rates with a reasonable agreement of what to expect about sexual acitivities / intimacy.

Based on intel gathered here and casa experiences, I wouldn't give BadaBing, RedD or the Platinum Club the time of day. I'm guessing that based on their locations in the family / couples areas of Mullet / Maho / Simpson Bays. They provide a quickie for a guy travelling with a wife or girlfriend, that says "Honey, I need to run out and get some milk" (time share owners with kitchens) and then can dive in late at night, or a guy that says honey, I'm going to go down to the casino for a while. I have no doubt they might have some nice talent. And I've read of the eastern european women that are there, but the price points are just totally ridiculous, as per your report. And again, if you're travelling with a significant other, and have a very short window to "escape". You aren't going to make it to Carolina's / El Cap / Def / or Casa Blanca and back in a half hour if you're staying in the aforementioned areas. If you want to visit a strip club. Save it for your local one after you get out of work back home. If you visit SXM. Come up with a stragegy to duck out, even during the day, for a couple of hours and visit one of the casas on the Dutch side. You'll save many dollars and have, more than likely, a much more positive experience.
First, ClubTed, I think you are correct in your thoughts on the higher priced clubs. I might add that these clubs are within walking distance or short cab ride from many of the big hotel areas around Maho and Simpson Bay. Many tourists don't have rental cars, so getting over to the brothel side is time consuming and logistically difficult to do on the sly.
On this Wednesday, there were two, large cruise ships in port- even though the schedule showed six that were expected. I think that website is portofstmaarten. Com and tells you how many ships are expected weeks in advance. When several ships are in, the traffic gets heavy during the day and getting over to Philipsburg from the airport side can be especially long. And, to no ones surprise, there is yet more road construction going on at the Philipsburg side of Simpson Bay. It also means that the clubs will be full of cruise ship tourists and boat staff (mostly Filapino).
Had arranged to see Paula again at 1 pm at Carolina's. Arrived to a jambed club. Located Paula, had a really good hour session, and headed out.
Cruise ships sail by around 5 p. M, so returning to El Capitan at 8 p, m. For another session with Tania found the club loaded with girls but less than 10 patrons. Tania is just a beautiful piece of human artwork viewed from every angle. I also took Lilliana back for what turned out to be a double session. She is a darker skinned Colombiana, cute, B-cup natural, and some extra junk in the trunk. In the room she was great and jumped on twice for extended cowgirl rides. I agree that the locals are pretty much ignored in all the clubs for the reasons you stated. But my observations completely discounted that. There are obvious island visitors of all ages walking into the clubs, and these are the guys I am referring to. I watched one girl at El Capitan sit at a table in the middle of the club for almost 2 hours without a drink and without approaching anyone or being approached by anyone while guys sat by themselves. Makes you scratch your head and wonder.Brothels are a weird place to be if you only there to drink LOL, Maybe the locals are their for the $2 beers or something. I would personally go to a strip club if I was there only for drinks.
When I am approached by an aggressive girl that I am not particularly attracted to, I go to the bar and grab a drink and go through the usual introduction. Then I ask whether she has amigas in the club. (They all do). Then ask her to introduce you to them. (They always do). Now you can converse with two or three while canvassing the club, and slip away if interest is elsewhere in the club, or time to move on to another club. If you are lucky, yiou might get something out of the left side spigot to go with the paper towel and perhaps a shot of mouthwash. Just the way it is here. There are a lot of fish in the barrel here and you control who you want to go back with. No obligation to any of them. When the chemistry is right, you will find your way back to that one, perhaps not. Lots of attractive girls at the clubs right now. Definitely try El Capitan and, perhaps Defiance, if you feel you must avoid the same girl at Carolina's. Personally, I would not think twice of going back to Carolina's after your experience. The technique I use as set forth in an earlier post works really good at avoiding having her latch onto you again.
