Hi all.
Been here a week now and I am happy to report all is good.

It's a shame the management of Defiance or whatever they are calling it, is tolerating this kind of clientele. Maybe because it's really only a local crowd that frequents the place at night. Prior to the new bar, the old layout of the place had an island bar that you could walk totally around. It's quite a big layout inside, but usually pretty dark, even during the day. For those new to the forum, this was formerly a university, maybe a med school before shutting down. If you gaze to the left of the complex you can see what was formerly the dormitory. I remember going to Defiance on a Sunday late afternoon years ago, and they threw an outdoor BBQ party out to the left of the main building that was a great time. They even had a small in ground pool that a few ladies were frolicking in.
There are some nights where the parking lot totally jams up, and you can find yourself parked a ways from the entrance. You enter the place by passing under an archway to get into the parking lot. You need to be careful entering to make sure nobody is shooting out and exiting as well, since it's sort of a blind hill you have to be aware of coming at you from the left. In the past there used to be some locals hanging out by the arch on the little slice of lawn that had a table, but nobody would bother you if you carried yourself confidently and headed straight into the club.
Defiance, along with Sunset Retreat and Casablanca are the three, what I call outlier casas, that are the furtherest from Philipsburg, and hence the police. So if something happens, it takes a while for the police to arrive on scene, unless there's a car in the area. The only problem of limiting yourself to a daytime visit is since this club isn't hopping like Carolina's, the nighttime gems may be sleeping and not come out until after dark, because they don't see the point. Still this club is a place to checkout. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Yes, it is sad that this crap is going on. I spent a lot of time there last September and earlier this year in February and really started liking the place. The atmosphere was pretty laid back, at least before 11:00 or so at night and it was easy to chat with the girls before and after a session. It was mentioned that Friday, Saturday and even Sunday nights do get crazy and if you are out then you really have to be aware of the situation. The parking lot is way off the main street and is a bit scary.

That however is not the key for me. I prefer girls with a better attitude and less worn out demeanor. Looks are not everything. A a hot girl with bad attitude is worthless to me. They ask for $500 or $600 and are not fucking 1 to 6 guys a day. That with $250 for the house will get you the girl until the following night at 10:00 pm, unlike Carolina's where you invest $470.00 and the girl has to be back before 10:00 am.
I know the money is much more, but if you have the budget, you may want to give it try. Just don't get trapped with the lap dance bullshit.

When Casa Blanca was loaded with chicas during the daytime, you could get a lap dance during the day, at the bar, for free! Even now, at any of the clubs, a bought drink for a chica for maybe six bucks, if that's what it is these days, will give you some pretty close contact with a chica for the duration of that drink, if you give the illusion that you're going to go with her afterwards, even if you bail out at the last minute and don't take her back to her room.

Your best bet would be El Capitan for Dominicanas, second spot would be Petite Chateau.
I did stop by there last month and they usually have gorditas but if you wait you might find what you are looking for.

Now that I am home I write my final report for a while.

Definitely stick to the streets. I think the problems people encountered were generally: 1) at night; and 2) taking shortcuts. Especially across the undeveloped area between Carolinas and the old Seamans / Hypnotic club.

And do you really want to arrive sweaty and unappealing at the clubs? Here's some options to consider.
1) After disembarking from your cruise ship. Follow the crowd, or just the signage to downtown Philipsburg. You will avoid the eager taxi drivers and get to take in some of P'Burg on your way to the boardwalk. Make your way to the square in front of the courthouse and it's loaded with taxi drivers. Strike a deal with a driver saying you want to be dropped off at say 12 noon and picked up at 3:30 pm at the same point. Agree on the price, and pay at the end. It's been done many times before. You won't pay any waiting rate. The driver will have plenty of time to do other fares. If you were to get stuck, there are plenty of local guys hanging out in front of Carolinas that would get you back to the cruise ship.
2) If you do decide to walk, you would end up on Juancho Yranusquin Blvd exiting the cruise ship port and hang a left heading inland. This road becomes Suckergarden Road and will take you to El Capitan. The club will be on your left, with high walls, after you travel by the Salt Pond and traverse Arch Road.
3) From El Capitan to Carolina's you head back towards the cruise ship and bang a right onto Arch Road. Walk toward the first main intersection that has a market on the corner and hang a left onto Soualiga Road. Carolina's and Crystals will be maybe 100 yards down.
The previous danger that lurked on the island was related to those that wanted to walk between Carolinas and the former Hypnotique Club, that offered a strong lineup of Colombianas, second only to Carolinas. Unsuspecting tourists would walk up the road and take a shortcut path through a vacant lot with grass the height of cornstalks. Locals would hide in the brush and rob tourists of jewelry, cash, and anything they could get there hands on. At not knife point, but machete point. I remember seeing the entrance to the path in the parking lot of Hypnotique while parking and seeing many local "utes" coming ang going from it. It would provide a shortcut to El Capitan as well, but do not do it.
4) Your other approach to the clubs on foot is to make it to Philipsburgh and then head out where the Salt Pickers roundabout is and head up Soualiga Road onto Pond Island, passing St. Maarten University and the baseball field. Then this area becomes sort of a wasteland with trailer park housing, junkyards and the unpleasant side of the waste of SXM. But LE Petite Chateau will be on your left. Or whatever they call it these days.
Bottom line, do yourself a favor and take a taxi or hook up with one of the crew members and make it to the clubs with him or them. In addition to tourists, you're going to have to compete with cruise ship crew that have liberty and they love to visit Carolinas! And if there are upwards of 6 ships in port, you're in for some tough competition!
Anyone considering walking to the clubs day or night is a fool, you're just asking for trouble, and it isn't exactly a short walk from the cruise ships. Taxi ride probably won't cost you more than 6 dollars one way.
Day or night like anywhere be aware of your surroundings, don't carry a lot of cash or valuables, and if you get confronted give it up! Tourist got shot in head last week at the "safest" part of the island fighting to save his daughters purse.

And as I think Dennis stated, this is a very touristy part of the island, right adjacent to the runway of the airport, a bit past Sunset Beach bar, I do believe. Just when I thought the island was making a recovery from the Hurricane, this event gives SXM a real black eye, more so for tourists than mongers, but nevertheless for all thinking of a tropical getaway. You can google the key words and read some of the press releases coming out of St. Maarten and more details about the crime.
I always carry a "give up wallet" in my cargo shorts that has some ones and some of those fake cardboard type credit cards that the credit card companies used to send to entice you to sign up. Helps give the wallet some bulk and if shown a gun or knife to your face, you can hand it over with peace of mind! Also, always just carry a copy of your passport with you, and don't worry about carrying your license. The rental car company has seen it already and has given you the approval to drive the car. Leave the bling at home, even if you always wear that favorite gold chain. Get a 10 dollar throw away watch from Walmart before your trip, preferably a black one. Pseudo diver type, that won't shine or stand out.
Some pretty sick and desperate people out there, and to shoot someone in the head is pretty much as ballsy as you can get. If confronted, always comply and give up what's requested. Even the keys to a rental car aren't worth getting killed over.

The taxi drivers, coke dealers, and normal cast of characters which loiter the entrance will offer little support. Always swearing I'll never go alone again, only failing to heed my own advice. Same with the nighttime walks from Chesterfields in Aruba to the G Spot. Towards the end of the block. They too have have had shootings. Santo Domingo is even worse. Evan a short nighttime walk around the Marriott Jaragua or Crown Plaza is dangerous.
I don't understand why I place myself in these positions, and yet, I believe, many of do. This most recent shooting in SXM occurred in a super busy tourist area. If it can happen there, it can certainly happen near El Capitan, Defiance and Carolina's.

So thanks for the advice. I actually hiked it from downtown PB up Suckergarden. It wasn't bad and since I went just past noon, I felt pretty safe. I got to in front of El Captains and kept going, misreading the previous posts that Carolina's was the first right before El Captains but instead it was past. Walked and ended up at a little market where I bought a water and was going to ask directions however the person behind the counter was a younger staff member or family member. I did not think it was appropriate to ask her. However, across the street there was a little hair salon. I noticed a motorcycle parked there so I ask the owner of the bike we're Carolinas was. He said it's about 5 minutes away drive. Offered to give me a ride so I jumped on the bike. He got me there no problem and didn't want a cent but I have him $5 anyways.
I went into Carolina's and was immediately approached by an very well proportioned Columbian. A bit older but was right in me. After the walk, I just wanted a beer. The taxi drivers, coke dealers, and normal cast of characters which loiter the entrance will offer little support. Always swearing I'll never go alone again, only failing to heed my own advice. Same with the nighttime walks from Chesterfields in Aruba to the G Spot. Towards the end of the block. They too have have had shootings. Santo Domingo is even worse. Evan a short nighttime walk around the Marriott Jaragua or Crown Plaza is dangerous.
I don't understand why I place myself in these positions, and yet, I believe, many of do. This most recent shooting in SXM occurred in a super busy tourist area. If it can happen there, it can certainly happen near El Capitan, Defiance and Carolina's.

El Capitan, Carolinas and Crystal during the day no problems. At night early, parking usually not a problem. With 50+/- girls between these three clubs, you can decide on a girl, fuck her, have a drink and be out the door in an hour or less. Holds true day or night. I have always done the day-night double header, but at night I will arrive when the clubs first get going around 9 pm Again, I can have my session and out the door by 10. Most trouble comes late at night. Locals start their nights at midnight or later. The locals that used to hang at the clubs were older and never a problem. Had beers with many of them. I have found that in both Medellin and Bogota using Uber is super easy and safe (in my personal experience anyways). As for the safety of Medellin, I have not noticed it getting any worse lately, at least in my perception, but I haven't done any late night mongering in Colombia so my POV may not be as accurate. In any case, regarding safety anywhere, anything can happen to anyone in any place, but you greatly increase your odds of staying safe by leaving the bling at home, being aware of your surroundings, not being out alone, and generally not being a dick.

For me the best place in the world to be is SXM. However I work over the internet and it drops frequently on the island even when there is not storm or hurricane. So Medellin is my home, no complaints and I monger and travel solo or with a Colombiana to SXM a few times a year.
That being said SXM is all about ease, pleasure and VARIETY. The variety of beaches the variety of food, the duty free booze, cigars, sportsbooks and casinos are all top notch. 6+ quality brothels does't hurt either. And it's safer and a paradise and speaking only English is not really an issue. You can rent a car and do your own thing more or less without constantly looking over your shoulder.
I agree with Routard in that having these girls far away from their homes and problems really loosens them up. In Colombia Bogota (chilly) has the best mongering but the weather is better in Cali (hot) or Medellin (Spring).
Girls from all over Colombia are beautiful but in my experience the girls from Cali are the most easy going, cool, chill and lie less. They go with the flow whereas Paisas and Constenas are more drama, headache and games. YMMV. In Bogota and more so Cartagena the girls travel from all over the country to work in those two places since there is more action to be had from tourists and locals. So In Bogota and Cartagena there are girls from Medellin, Cali and the coast working there. Costenas are more apt to take it up the pooper if that's your thing.
In SXM you get a good mix of Colombianans, Dominicanas a few Jamaicans and Venezuelans. Skinny, fat, natural, boob jobs the whole nine. The two higher end places have stunning European women but they cost more. Good luck.

All solo. Last time I got laid in Casablanca was June 2014. I always loved that place and always drive up every trip since but never get out of the car. If you wanted BBBJCIMNQ Casblanca without haggling or negotiation or only paying a $5 or $10 tip was the place.
Past few years and now definitely after the hurricane I am only hitting Capitan, Crystals and Carolinas. Always with a car and I'm always out of those places before 10:30 PM. Man I miss the old Seamans and Casablanca of yesteryear.

As far as RTTF. I have been. I read a little bit each day, I keep a tab open on my phone and I'm currently on page 155. I'm a reader and the stories are better than any adventure novel I could pick up right now. The stories from Mel, Routard, Zing, Scubatoo belong in a book. Hopefully someday, someone will tackle it. I only have a few questions and I am not going to be super anal about planning my upcoming trip minute by minute. I have learned in the past that when I get all crazy with my expectations it's hard for them to ever be met.
I do want to thank all of the guys who have come before me and contributed to this forum. It's a weird thing, in America at least, being a hobbyist. I think we all are indeed a special breed with a thirst for everything this world has to offer. I am a place in my life where experiences and making memories are better than any car, art, or retail therapy can provide. I am counting the days and the research, the reading, the intel, and practicing my chica Spanish to the cleaning ladies at my office are part of the fun and experience. The other interesting thing I read, is the place is now open until 7 am that's right, 7 am! I've been there when the place was closing around 5 am but looks like they are keeping the party going until breakfast!
The drink specials didn't start until 10 pm so looks like the good old days of daytime frolicking here are over. Purely a late night venue. Which means mostly a local crowd. You won't see the cruise ship influx here, like you will at Caroline's during the day. Then again, guessing this place isn't going to be open during the day. Unsure if they will still have onsite chicas, guessing they will, since they have the layout for it. Seems this place has been open at least for a few months. Any on the ground reports would be appreciated. This is the last casa before the French border. A convenient place to duck into if you are staying in Oyster Pond or Orient. But the place has a checkered past, late at night. Exercise extreme caution in the parking lot. Shootings have occurred in the past.

Regarding dress code, I don't know how much "truth in advertising" one can expect from an ad for and by a "gentleman's club" built literally on the footprint of a place like Casa Blanca. I just don't think the "code" will be enforced. IMHO, all this is for show. But I do believe they may stay open until 7 am, at least on Fri and Sat nights. 7 am is not llate for night clubs in a number of LatAm cities. And I bet that the "supplements" that keep the patrons awake and alert, often available in the clubs in LatAm, will likewise be available in this case.

If you do decide to go to phantasm I would suggest going early evening or in the afternoon. I would not want to be pissed up alone, late at night in any of the islands working girl houses, especially on Friday or Saturday.
Last time I was in SXM pre Hurricane Irma and visited Casa Blanca they did have a sign at the entrance saying no slippers. I was laughing my ass off and didn't realize they were referring to sandals. So I'm not really sure how vigilant they are in that regard and what the mindset is, since afterall, it is SXM.
My bigger question and maybe Mel can weigh in on this, is how they are managing to stay open until 7 am with the notorious past of shootings, murders, allegations of forced labor etc? Have no idea what the liquor laws regarding hours of service are on the Dutch side. I know the DUI laws on the Dutch side are pretty much non-existent and you can drive with an open container. On the French side, it's an entire different ballgame.
The last shooting that I'm aware of at the former Casa Blanca occurred at 6 am And resulted in 2 hit with one fatality. If you look back at some of my previous posts you can read about my 5 am Closing time experience a few years ago. Again, this is really a club for locals, especially after 2 am I've observed the gangsta type of crowd arrive and immediately most of the chicas would gravitate toward their local supplier of coke or whatever would fuel their engines, after they had toyed around with any brave tourist arriving and staying within the earlier time window. Place had a heavy presence of Dominicans. Some good looking ones, but no light skinned Colombians like Carolines.
Will be interesting to read some future posts about this club. So if my scorecard is correct, LE Petite Chateau has changed names, Defiance has changed names, and now Casa Blanca. Dam, I miss the old Seaman's! LOL!

Concur that the place must have just opened around June timeframe. I wouldn't necessarily call it's location in a "dodgy area" though. The Westin Hotel is around the corner, Oyster Pond is within view, million dollar homes dot the hillside, and there is prime real estate behind the casa, just begging for development. The problem with the club is it's remoteness from SXM police. It's driveway entrance is literally 20 to 30 yards from the French border and the nearest Dutch police are located in downtown Philipsburg. The driveway up to the club is steep and long. And once on top if guys are hanging out in the parking lot, it can be a bit intimidating, but the parking lot is well lit and I've never had a problem in the parking lot. The unfortunate reality is if stuff goes down, the French Gendermanes will not cross over the border and do anything, short of their being an all out catastrophe, and the French Gendermanes (police) stay at the Columbus Hotel in Oyster Pond which is right above Captain Oliver's when they are not on duty at the station in Orleans and they are 2 minutes away, vs maybe 20 minutes or so for the Dutch police to arrive at the scene. So basically, you have a remote, outlying den of iniquity hidden amongst the gorgeous skyline of Oyster Pond and million dollar homes perched upon hills right next door, and undesirables that have slept all day and are out at night on the prowl fueled with booze, drugs and in the presence of scantily clad women that can be a recipe for trouble. There's always strength in numbers, but I fly solo. If you are street wise and can handle yourself. Casa Blanca or whatever it's called now, is manageable. But back in the day 20 to 30 Dominicans were the norm. The latest numbers being reported. With 2 Russians? Wow. Hard to believe.

The number of girls was the figure back in June, my friend is not sure what it is now. While oyster pond is an upmarket area the nearby Dutch quarter certainly ain't.

In many countries / cities, places like Casa Blanca, Carolinas and Defiance are, in a way, like that hotel in "John Wick" - you're 100% safe while inside. The owners of those establishments are highly "respected" in certain circles and by the local crowd (read: they'll f*&k you up if you mess up his business by attracting cops or attracting attention of the media) . Unless you're totally nuts and absolutely don't value own life, you wouldn't dare pull a gun or a knife in such a place, given who owns it. Now, once you out on the street, then all bets are off.
I'm not sure about SXM, but it seems to me that until maybe 2006-2008 that was still the case. Gangstas still "respected" the owners of the clubs. The worst you'd come across inside those places (Seaman's, Defiance, Carolinas, maybe not casa blanca) is someone trying to sell you some blow. But "no, thanks" was enough for them to move on.
It started deteriorating, IMHO, by 2008-9 (worldwide recession? Economic crisis?) Just during the 2 weeks when I was there, there was a fatal shooting between 11:30 and midnight on Defiance parking lot and a member of a cruise ship crew stabbed at 2 pm walking in the alley from El Capitan to Seamans 2 (later Hypnotic). It was a weird feeling reading the following morning about that in the local paper, thinking "sh*t, I was there 20 min before the shooting!
But it seems to me after the latest hurricane some / many "hoods" don't respect anybody or anything. I'm not saying something will happen to any of us. Almost certainly it will not. But it can be just a random thing, like someone thinks you look at them the wrong way, or someone needs $20 for the next hit. 12 or 15 years ago they'd just have to live with that, but now I have a feeling they'll pull a knife / gun on you. Maybe not inside Carolina, but for sure just outside, in the alley where most cars are parked. That's in addition to overall much higher crime rate on the island, including well-to-do areas like Simpson Bay.
Oh well, maybe I'm just 15 years older and notice things I didn't care to notice before. Or my ratio of "threat awareness" to testosterone is higher than back in the day and I don't hang out in those clubs until 3 am looking for I-don't-know-what.
I'm just winding up a long two week visit which took me to Cali, Santa Marta, Medellin, curacao and finally winding up here on SXM. And exhausting trip for the old guy.
On my last night here I thought I'the go out and enjoy my last two dollar beer and stopped by Carolina's to check out the fantastic talent that they have there. Lo and behold I met Angie who came highly recommended by our friend Mel. More than I ever could have expected. The old man and his little amigo woke up really quickly and Angie took care of us both.
She says she's going to be on island for another two months so if anyone is planning a visit I highly recommend stopping in and saying Hello, to Angie. I don't think you can go wrong.
I guess maybe I didn't have my last beer tonight after all. I think another trip to Carolina's on the way to the airport is definitely on the to do list.

I would not worry about security at Carolinas. Just park as close as possible. Say Hello, to everyone you pass or good evening that is the polite thing to do on St Maarten.

Any suggestions for me?Caroline, Crystals Defiance and El General all open up at 11. The line up is sometimes slow to roll out but there are plenty to choose from. Next to Carolines, there is a Chinese restaurant where you can go, sit and have something to nibble and watch the TLN roll in from their night out. Carolines seem to have the most cruise ship passengers, but you can always walk across the street to Crystals where there is less of a crowd.

I spent 5 winters in St Thomas, If you like big fat sloppy Putas there is a joint over near Redhook--its a little sketchy.
Just ask any cab driver, possibly there is something new but St Thomas operates under US law.
Ask the captain if he can take a detour to Curacao--Campo is amazing.

Hey, please give us the reading resources that you have looked at that reference such muggings.I've hunted for the original article but can't find it now. I read it a few years ago before my last trip there. It was a post from a local warning that rental vehicles have an are on the license plate to designate them as such. This is only on the Dutch side. She recommended renting from the French side. It would be too much of a hassle traveling to the French side for a rental and traveling back to drop it off again before the flight home. On my last trip a taxi driver warned me to only use taxis with the TX on the plate to avoid being gouged on the rates.

Returned to SXM yesterday. While standing in line to clear customs / immigration I saw two attractive young ladies who caught my wandering eye. Ran a bit early in to P'burg today and El General (Petit Chateau) and El Capitan we're not open yet. Decided to check out Empire, as it appeared to be open already. Soooo glad I did. Not much to add. Most girls ask for $60, but I find if you leave $50 there are no complaints.
Nobody at Carolina's has really stood out as fantastic, but the line-up is very good, with lots to choose from.

Getting There: Arrived from a neighboring island via ferry into Marigot on the French Side. Had no choice as this was the easiest way. Was there on business. $28.00 ferry to Marigot and $25 to return.
Car Rental: For personal preferences based on everything I have read here, travel advisor and other mainstream sites and Murphy's Law, I decided to rent a car from a known company. I know people who rented at the port with no issues whatsoever, however in the end I am glad I went with my normal company. Instead of taking a taxi to the airport, decided to walk up to the first taxi in the line and just give $20.00 to catch a ride to Simpson Bay location for rental car pick up. What should have been the first sign of how bad the driving is — they requested I video and photo the entire car fully and take note of any previous damage. Got really lucky and the car I choose had damage already to the side undercarriage and other areas. Also, based on some of the report here, didn't want a hatchback. Needed a trunk so I can hide my bag in spare tire area. Since I did not have a room, my passport, some belongings and cash was all with me in pockets or car accordingly.
Driving: if you haven't driven in the DR or other places like that, caution is needed. There a number of issues with the driving here that will cause peril to your rental car (which is needed, taxi is not a good way to get around). #1 - the speed bumps are the same color as the road. They come up unannounced and will completely destroy your undercarriage. One of them cause my rear view mirror to detach and I had to fix it with some supplies I bought at the local ace hardware megastore on the way to the clubs. #2 - there are ditches on the shoulder of the roads with no guard rails. The roads are narrow and it is all oncoming traffic. On the sides of the road are large ditches that are very deep. If you accidentally swerve, this will destroy your car and towing will be needed. Can't imagine driving here at night or tropical rains. The worse ditches I saw were up near empire and also if you get lost near the customs check point passed Philipsburg. Be very careful! #3 Traffic. If you need to be somewhere at a certain time, please leave lot of time to get there. I was warned from rental car company, however did not believe it too much since it hasn't Been mentioned enough. It is bad and consider this a warning if you are trying to make a flight or home to wife, etc. #4 - I found that there are no real road signs, so if you spend your days looking for suckergarden road sign, it is not visible. #5 Cellular is very slow. I paid the $10 to turn on verizon cell phone and use maps. Half the time it didn't properly connect. Additionally the "go" function on maps where it speaks to you and tells you where to turn doesn't work here so you will be looking at your phone, avoiding oncoming traffic and trying not to fall into a ditch or off the side of the hill with no guard rails. You have been warned! Prepare and learn where things are, it is fun to get lost sometimes, but not always.
Food and shopping: Downtown Phillipsburg has something for everyone. $5 gifts from street vendors to designer clothing shops. I ate at small NY style Chinese place called Man Bo, was really good. Hard to park, got lucky with free street parking after riding around for 15 minutes.
Getting Cash: the first ATM I tried to get US currency between Simpson Bay and Phillipsburg declined my transaction and I got worried. The second was at WIC bank and worked perfectly.
Preparing for action: Having read every post hurricane report and every report of distinction, felt ready to quickly hit multiple spots on a mission. If you are new to St Marten--Rent a Car and drive over to Carolinas. I would not recommend walking. There are enough quality chicas there to keep you busy for more than a week.
Many are coming back about the time you arrive from Christmas in Colombia. In addition it is officially High season for tourists.
Forget non pros at orient beach-- or for that matter forget the French Side- there is nothing going on there except for a few PRIVATE clubs. Dinner cost more at orient beach than sex at any of the clubs.
If you like the beach it is a nice spot.

Crystal's is across the street from Carolina's and you can walk to it with no worries. Literally crossing the street. On your way up from Pond Road, past SXM University and the baseball stadium the former LE Petite Chateau will be on your left. As someone mentioned earlier, an emissions testing station for cars is next to it, so if it looks jamming during the day, it's probably not, but I believe the place opens sometimes after 11 am Dam I miss the days of the parking lot being like the surface of the moon!
Last place easily accessible is the site of the original Seaman's club. The mecca for all the old timers like myself on this board! It's called El Captain now. (think LE Petite is now The General). I get confused by all the name changes and remember the casas from my carousing back in the day. The place is on Suckergarden Road, just past Arch Road. Has a high walled parking compound. Believe it opens during the day as well.
SXM is easy to navigate. You'll get a lay of the land fairly quickly. Just try to park either in front or on the side of Carolina's, especially at night. If you've been in the service, I'm sure you can handle yourself, but there's always some knucklehead or knuckleheads that think they are king of the world, so just always be on Defcon 5 alert. Also, don't leave anything within site in the rental car. Even if it's a beach bag with nothing valuable. Someone looking in from the outside doesn't know that and smash and grab happens more than you might think.
For the senior members. I was thinking about this today and how technological progress has come such a long way! Do you guys remember the phone booth across from Carolina's back in the day, and the little communications shack that the Colombianas used to access to make contact with family back home? I have not been to SXM since the last devastating hurricane, but Orient Beach prior to the destruction, is one of my favorite beaches of the Caribbean. Not sure how much it's come back from the big storm. The water is pristine, there is usually a little breeze and if a passing shower presents itself, it's in and out in less than 10 minutes. The beach has a clothing optional section that is or was home to Club Orient. A nudist resort. There was a bar called the Perch Bar that had midday happy hour and nudists would flock there for cocktails at noon. Mostly couples. The clothing optional part of the beach is open to anyone, but you'll find mostly couples, and the stray single French woman, that quite frankly, is there for the total tan, and nothing else. When the taxis roll in you'll get the cruise ship voyeurs and those that have no business being on a nude beach showing up in droves.
The clothing / family section of the beach, which is basically most of it, used to have beachside restaurants / bars / cafes and water sport rental guys, but again, I'm not sure how much recovery has taken place since Orient got hit hard. I've seen some smoking European girls. Bikini clad on this part of the beach. So it's worth a walk! Just remember to take your wallet and car keys with you if you leave your blanket or lounge chair. There are guys hanging out watching your move and if they see you stray far from your stuff, . Bad shit can happen.
Grand Case Beach, Maho Beach, Cupecoy Beach, and even the beach in Philipsburg are other beaches to check out, although the water isn't the cleanest here because of all the cruise ship and activity in the harbor, but when six cruise ships employ over 10,000 people into town. The beach becomes hopping with some great eye candy at the least!

Been a little while since my last report, I am still fucking Vanessa all the time and have no need to go elsewhere.

Glad you found El Capitain or El Captain. Since you've found that place, there are three more casas that you can easily find from here. When you leave El Capitain, instead of taking the right to head back toward Philipsburg. Take a left on that main road. Suckergarden Road.
You'll be heading away from Philipsburg and actually on your way to the French border, but you've been to Orient Beach so you may have gone this route already. Heading up the windy hill, you'll see a car wash on your left and quickly on your right will be a driveway with a stone archway. This is the former Club Defiance. Not sure what they call it now, but it doesn't matter since they never had any signage to begin with. This was the former American University Medical School I do believe. Big parking lot and the place opens at 11 am As well. Pretty slow and lazy during the day since no cruise ship passengers venture here. Busy at night with the locals, and some problems in the parking lot can occur. However, you can occasionally find a gem or two during the day and with only one or two guys in the bar, there is no time pressure, so you can have a pretty relaxing time, even do take out for free (no bar fine), just bring her back by either 6 or 8 pm And pay her what she's expecting. Might be able to convince her to rub some suntan lotion on your Johnson so you don't get burned at Orient Beach!
There are two more beyond Defiance. Sunset Retreat and Casa Blanca. But both are fairly dormant during the day. If you are interested, let me know and I'll give more insight to you on how to get there, although they are both on the same road. Right hand side. Close to the French border.
Also somebody asked about LE Petite Chateau, now known as The General. Place is dark inside and has mostly dark Dominicans. If you like junk in the trunk, this is your place. Occasionally a gem, but for the most part, the total opposite of the lineup in Carolinas. When you leave this place, it's like you've been to a movie in the afternoon and walk outside to a brilliant sky! Think there's a bar abutting the parking lot that serves drinks outside, so you don't have to feel your way around the inside of the place. Place gets busy at nights but it's definitely a local crowd. If you're a white guy dressed in vacation garb you will stick out like a sore thumb, however, I never had any problems inside. You just have to park as close to this place as well, since occasionally someone might try to intimidate you if you've parked far from the building and scream tourist. Walk with purpose and always be vigilant of your surroundings.

I would stay clear of Casa Blanca--It can be rough late at night- the owners son was killed in the parking lot.
Sunset is an OK club except you have to park across the street in a dark parking lot to get to the club.
Personally I would stick around Defiance (can't remember new name) A couple of hotties there, El Capitan, Crystal, and Carolina's.

Personally I would stick around Defiance (can't remember new name) A couple of hotties there, El Capitan, Crystal, and Carolina's.

The freelance girls will always be out on the busy nights in the popular bars, usually in groups of two or three.
I have never been with any of them but my friend has, I think he said they are like 120-150 for an hour but that could vary with negotiation.
With regards to the clubs Carolinas has about 15 girls with more arriving I next few weeks, I expect they will have 30 girls by end of the month. The other clubs I have not bothered going back to on this trip.

Knoteebuoy.In my last three visits to the island, despite some very mixed reviews on this board, I've had some really good experiences at Defiance. While the overall quality of the girls there do not compare to Carolinas there are some gems. I find that the more relaxed environment in the bar to be refreshing. You can have a few beers at the bar with some fine companion. Unlike, Carolinas, the girls don't seem to be as rushed. I guess fewer guys there so they can invest some time with you and they are not rushed to get to the next one walking in the door.
I never experienced the dreaded knock on the door so I assume what you encountered was something out of the ordinary.

I don't plan on returning for at least a month possibly longer . Nonstop flight from JFK nonstop next week is 469 RT.
However with all 10's of thousands of tourists arriving daily, and the airlines, I am passing for a while. I am usually on island every 3 weeks
There are 2 cases reported on the French side, one of them took the ferry from St Barths to the Terminal and then was quarantined.
St Bartha, St Lucia, Martinique, Dominican Republic , and Guadeloupe all have reported cases.
I believe the Dutch side is under reporting.

I see the government today has banned all people who have been China, Iran, Japan, Italy, South Korea in last 14 days from entering the country. I expect the rest of Europe and USA will be added to that list in next 2 weeks at the rate this pandemic is spreading.

The earliest I can find a flight is the beginning of June.
SXM is reopening business in phases similar to everywhere else in the world. I believe they are only allowing residents to return now and they must quarantine for 14 days. I'm heading back after summer when things should be somewhat "normal" again.

The Dominicans went home, 1 sneaked out and is staying illegal with her mom on the island. The Colombians I think are still in Campo but campo is closed so no money for them. Will mongering ever be the same? Glad I'm on the downslope and have put my time in on Aruba, SXM, and Finally Curacao last fall, before the pandemic has changed the world. Since chatter is light, obviously due to the islands being shut down, want to throw out my thoughts and get input from the senior members to see if our top Caribbean destinations will ever be the same again.
1) Aruba. I was never really a fan of the bars here and did all my damage during the day cruising the alleys and setting up after work excursions. Bars aren't super packed and the daytime / nighttime alley drives do give adequate social distancing. Someone on the Aruba board asked what the current situation is. Have no idea. But if there are chicas stuck there. There is enough of an island clientele to keep them up and running.
2) St. Maarten. This is the tricky one. The honey hole, being Carolinas. Gets packed. With cruise ship passengers, cruise ship crew, tourists, locals, government officials. LOL. Place rocks. Can you imagine being in there at 2:00 pm During the day and having to wear a mask and talk to chicas wearing a mask? Sorry, doesn't work for me. And the same would be at any other casa, but Carolinas has the highest volume.
3) Barbados, Bonaire, and the DR. I've never visited so can't comment.
4) Lastly, Curacao. Saw one Dominicana was MIA, but someone on the Curacao board cleared up the fact that she bugged out of Campo and went AWOL. Anyway, this venue is the only one I see working in this pandenic, and I've only been there once. The social distancing and the outdoor environment in the hot sun. Not sure what virus could survive, that's not hidden in someone's pants. Still the issue remains about how close a chica will let you get to her. Will there be a Covid-19 surcharge to kiss? To even get close? And what used to be negotiable or attainable is now off the table?
Bottom line, is this sucks and unless there's a real quick fix to the transmission of this virus. We will all have to be thinking with the bigger head on this one. No answer to the dilemma but since reports are few and understandably non-existent, would appreciate some input from the senior posters on the dilemma and thoughts moving forward.

Aruba, with the very small bars and back street cruising in San Nicolas, is probably somewhere in between Campo and the packed clubs of St. Maarten as far as risk of exposure. So I will sit back for a few months and see how things are playing out. Even if the risk appears greatly reduced, I will also be curious about the experience in the room. Waiting to get laid after going through any kind of surgical prep procedure is not something I am going to hop on a plane to experience. So I will watch both things before deciding to visit any of my favorite destinations.

In the meantime the Dominicans in campo left the island with a humanitarian flight, the Colombians are still there the Colombian president won't open the border till 1 September. In the meantime Campo is going bankrupt. The owner is really mad at the chicas because they can't pay rent and and he has no income because since shelter in place the goverment closed campo there were also issues about human trafficking etc and they are fighting it in court. As of right now were are not anymore on full lockdown there is a shelter in place from 12 at midnight till 6 in the morning and there is a mandatory quarantine for residents that come back from exterior they need to stay 2 weeks in a hotel and after that they will get checked for covid19. But as y'all know Curacao is flooded with Venezuelans chicas in bars all over the island and they all need money Cubaweg is open and a lot of other bars are open but there are not a lot of clients so pussy prices are going down quick.

I really want to plan a trip in June. I was reviewing the 4-Phase plan (https://www.st-maarten.com/index.php/blog2/1715-schedule-for-re-opening-st-maarten) and will monitor closely before I even think about booking. I couple of items I am wondering:
1. Will the girls that have been "stuck on the island" vacate to finally get home, new girls coming in? Not sure of this dynamic.
2. I would hate to get stuck there, planning to spend a few days.
3. Thinking about using Airbnb, there seems to be some good properties. I usually stay at Princess Heights.
4. Hope the bars are not enforcing masks to workers and clients? That would be odd.
Things are tough out there, stay safe boys.

I have seen that the government advice for clubs is:
1. Employees need to wear masks and protective clothing.
2. Not suppose to be any kissing.
3. Oral sex is not recommended. Gloves for wanking.
4. Shower after every customer.
5. Staff to enforce sanitisation routines.
Will be interesting if this is enforced.
This is a good read, hopefully by the time I'm back in a few months some of these restrictions will not be necessary.

It's already taken somewhat of a backseat as a news story with the racial protest going on here in the states. I'm wondering if by the fall, things will be back to "normal" at the casas. If the mask wearing, social distancing, house rules, become the new norm, I don't know if I'd want to drop the coin to travel down for what appears to be the farthest thing from an intimate experience with a hot Latina. This includes, but is not limited to market vending; bars, nightclubs and dance establishments; adult entertainment establishments; massage parlours; manufacturers and breweries and festivals, events and conferences.
Let the games begin. Wonder what it is going to look like.
I was in St Maarten June 1 -4. I did not get to see much of the island but things seemed normal. However unless you want to swim there the airport is still closed to commercial aviation.
In addition Colombia is Closed for air traffic.
The worst is yet to come in South America.

Dutch side has all flights from USA Banned until Aug 1, and subject to further restriction. At this time JetBlue has only one flight scheduled Aug 1, 15,22, and 29. Fri-Mon in Sept. And daily in Oct. Cruise ships are not scheduled into port until Sept 22. On top of this, the USA Passport office is not processing any renewals. It has been shut down except for medical emergencies since March. Estimate 3-4 month backlog of millions of renewals. Usually takes two weeks. Ugh. All this, plus the girls being unable to get back to the island, tells me St. Maarten is off my list for 2020. And let's also hope the newest possible hurricane that is projected to travel thru St. Maarten takes a serious right turn.

The trip from Colombia upwind to Curacao is a nightmare. I did it once to Guadeloupe and had to stop in Curacao for a seasick crewmember--not to bad had fun ad disney-campo.
However I would never again sail upwind back towards the caribbean from Colombia.

I'm thinking of Thanksgiving time and have never been there so looking for some suggestions. I've been mongering for many years through Asia and last year it was Costa Rica. The three mains things I look for are.
-easy access to girls within walking distance of my hotel, though in a lot of threads it seems you go to the bar or massage place and they have rooms there, is that the standard?
-decent local beer bars, bar girls to bullshit with and food.
-scuba diving.

Hi all.
Anyone remember a girl called Tatiana that worked in Carolina's circa Spring 2019, maybe longer. She was tall, natural, attractive and always used to wear glasses. Friends of my friend used to be her regulars and I had her once and she was very good.
Sadly she passed away at the weekend in a car accident in Colombia. She was a lovely girl from what I knew of her 😢.

Good to hear from you mate, hope you are well. I have 3-4 weeks off work for Christmas and new year but I fear the whole of Europe will be in lock down so getting over there could be a problem, flights are really cheap though, like almost half price but I will probably leave it until last last minute if I decide to come.
I worry that even if I get over there then the island could go into lockdown or at least have curfew every night by 12 am. Then also got to worry about selection of girls that would be working, will there even be many there.
I still have a flight from St Maarten to Panama and then onto Medellin I need to use up By end of next year to so saving my money and delaying until Easter time maybe a better option for me and then do this trip which I had plan to do April of this year.

.I can comment on the scuba diving. I did a few days in Saba (connected by ferry) and it was pretty good there but not reef diving as it's a volcanic island but marine life still decent. I then did a shark dive in Ste Maarten and they paired it up with a wreck dive that had the biggest spiny lobsters I've ever seen. So those two dives on Ste Maarten were great but I cannot comment on any local reef dives.

So those two dives on Ste Maarten were great but I cannot comment on any local reef dives.Yes, Saba is deep diving at around 125 feet. As for St Maarten, I think it is mediocre at best. This time of year strong surface currents and often a bit murky at 60 feet. They have a few sunken fishing boats with so-so marine life. No good reefs that I know of. The shallow dive off of Little Divi is a waste of time, and often murky. Choose your dive shop carefully if you need equipment. In this part of the Caribbean, best reef diving is on west side of Barbados.
I first went to Carolinas and the picking was slim. One of the employees said it was Saturday night and the good chicas were out TLN.

PHILIPSBURG. The Government of Sint Maarten has updated its entry requirements to ensure continued safety of travelers and residents as of November 25th, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Sint Maarten has established a mandatory health authorization application through an Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS) available on www.stmaartenentry.com, for every visitor whether arriving by air, boat or in transit. This includes Sint Maarten and Sint Martin residents.
Travelers residing on St. Maarten or traveling from low-risk countries are exempted from having the mandatory RT-PCR test. However, must test upon arrival at their own expense. Children below the age of 10 are exempted from the mandatory RT-PCR test. Crew members not in possession of a valid negative RT-PCR test, must self-quarantine until their departure flight.
All arriving passengers must:
1. Complete the online Health Authorization Declaration available on www.stmaartenentry.com , and print a copy to present at the Health Authorization checkpoint upon arrival.
2. Have a RT-PCR test for the SARS-COV-2 virus obtained from a Naso-Pharyngeal swab only and performed within 120 hours (5 days) prior to departure to Sint Maarten (last leg in case of connecting flights);.
Alternatively, passengers can have a Antigen Test for the SARS-COV-2 virus obtained from a Naso-Pharyngeal swab only and performed within 48 hours from the date of swab to departure.
The only antigen tests accepted are:
A). Abbott CGIA (Panbio COVID-19 Ag rapid test.
B). Becton Dickinson (BD) CGIA BD Veritor COVID test.
C). Roche / SD biosensor F test.
3. Upload the original result of your test as soon as possible, as part of the Health Authorization application procedure, in order to be processed. Processing take can up to 12 hours. The test result should clearly specify the name of the laboratory, test subject name, test date, type of test administered and how the test sample was obtained. Typed, written or e-mail statements from doctors or non-laboratories will not be accepted.
4. For travelers originating from a high-risk country, 14 consecutive days of self-monitoring of body temperature and possible flu like symptoms is mandatory. For travelers from a moderate risk country the mandatory self-monitoring period is 8 days.
Please be informed that receiving pre-approval does not mean that you are cleared to enter St. Maarten. Upon arrival you must still pass through the additional medical screening measures at the Airport Health Checkpoint. All incoming passengers are subject to temperature checks and other screening protocols and may be subject to mandatory testing at their own expense. If re-tested upon arrival you will be expected to self-isolate or self-quarantine at your place of lodging / residence until the test results are known. Failure to adhere to screening upon arrival will result in you not being able to enter St. Maarten and being sent back to the country from which your flight originated.
Upon Arrival:
1. All travelers are subject to thermal screening and temperature checks upon arrival. If traveler (s) have a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or higher and / or symptoms of coughing, runny nose or difficulty breathing, they will be treated as probable COVID-19 cases and will be subject to further health assessment by a Public Health Worker at the airport.
Based on the information provided in the health assessment, the medical professionals on the airport will determine whether the traveler will need to be tested at the Airport Healthcare Center. In addition, the outcome of that health assessment will determine whether the traveler (s) can go to their place of lodging or to a designated quarantine hotel to be placed in quarantine until their RT-PCR test results return within maximum 24 -48 hrs of being tested.
Costs for having to re-test upon arrival is $125. The timeframe to receive results are dependent on lab testing capacity and the number of local transmissions.
A. If the RT-PCR / Rapid Antigen Test result is negative, the traveler (s) is taken off self-quarantine and are advised to self-monitor.
B. If the RT-PCR / Rapid Antigen Test result is positive, person (s) will be treated as a confirmed COVID-19 case and shall follow the national isolation protocols as advised by Collective Prevention Services (CPS).
2. All travelers above the age of 10 must have a mask in their possession for use upon disembarkation, which must be worn in all public areas throughout the duration of their stay in Sint Maarten.
3. Have a printed copy of Health Authorization form to show upon arrival.
There were some discrepancies in the previous protocols which have been adjusted, this is the most up to date protocol and is subject to changes as time progresses to ensure that the experience on Sint Maarten is positive and the risks remain at a minimum.
Those rules were in effect when I arrived in SXM on the 13th. However I had a ships agent that handled all the paperwork for me.
We arrived at 9 Am. The doctor was on the boat at 4 PM.
The test results came back the next morning and all is well. We were free. She even got us a rental car delivered to the marina $185- all in including insurance for a week.
Upon return to the USA, I had to have another test within 3 days of leaving. I arrive last Saturday had the test Tuesday and I am out of quarantine.
The agent will handle all the paperwork for me to return by plane in 3 weeks.
There are quite a few chicas in all the clubs. But less than normal for this time. At owners told me many more are coming soon.
There are chicas from Antigua, the DR, Venezuela, Trinidad, and of course Colombia--many from Cali.

Based on this latest update on entry requirements to SXM, it's going to be a realllll looooong time, before I ever make it back to the "Friendly Island."

PHILIPSBURG. The Government of Sint Maarten has updated its entry requirements to ensure continued safety of travelers and residents as of November 25th, 2020.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Sint Maarten has established a mandatory health authorization application through an Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS) available on www.stmaartenentry.com, for every visitor whether arriving by air, boat or in transit. This includes Sint Maarten and Sint Martin residents.
Travelers residing on St. Maarten or traveling from low-risk countries are exempted from having the mandatory RT-PCR test. However, must test upon arrival at their own expense. Children below the age of 10 are exempted from the mandatory RT-PCR test. Crew members not in possession of a valid negative RT-PCR test, must self-quarantine until their departure flight.
All arriving passengers must:
1. Complete the online Health Authorization Declaration available on www.stmaartenentry.com , and print a copy to present at the Health Authorization checkpoint upon arrival.
2. Have a RT-PCR test for the SARS-COV-2 virus obtained from a Naso-Pharyngeal swab only and performed within 120 hours (5 days) prior to departure to Sint Maarten (last leg in case of connecting flights);.
Alternatively, passengers can have a Antigen Test for the SARS-COV-2 virus obtained from a Naso-Pharyngeal swab only and performed within 48 hours from the date of swab to departure.
The only antigen tests accepted are:
A). Abbott CGIA (Panbio COVID-19 Ag rapid test.
B). Becton Dickinson (BD) CGIA BD Veritor COVID test.
C). Roche / SD biosensor F test.
3. Upload the original result of your test as soon as possible, as part of the Health Authorization application procedure, in order to be processed. Processing take can up to 12 hours. The test result should clearly specify the name of the laboratory, test subject name, test date, type of test administered and how the test sample was obtained. Typed, written or e-mail statements from doctors or non-laboratories will not be accepted.
4. For travelers originating from a high-risk country, 14 consecutive days of self-monitoring of body temperature and possible flu like symptoms is mandatory. For travelers from a moderate risk country the mandatory self-monitoring period is 8 days.
Please be informed that receiving pre-approval does not mean that you are cleared to enter St. Maarten. Upon arrival you must still pass through the additional medical screening measures at the Airport Health Checkpoint. All incoming passengers are subject to temperature checks and other screening protocols and may be subject to mandatory testing at their own expense. If re-tested upon arrival you will be expected to self-isolate or self-quarantine at your place of lodging / residence until the test results are known. Failure to adhere to screening upon arrival will result in you not being able to enter St. Maarten and being sent back to the country from which your flight originated.
Upon Arrival:
1. All travelers are subject to thermal screening and temperature checks upon arrival. If traveler (s) have a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or higher and / or symptoms of coughing, runny nose or difficulty breathing, they will be treated as probable COVID-19 cases and will be subject to further health assessment by a Public Health Worker at the airport.
Based on the information provided in the health assessment, the medical professionals on the airport will determine whether the traveler will need to be tested at the Airport Healthcare Center. In addition, the outcome of that health assessment will determine whether the traveler (s) can go to their place of lodging or to a designated quarantine hotel to be placed in quarantine until their RT-PCR test results return within maximum 24 -48 hrs of being tested.
Costs for having to re-test upon arrival is $125. The timeframe to receive results are dependent on lab testing capacity and the number of local transmissions.
A. If the RT-PCR / Rapid Antigen Test result is negative, the traveler (s) is taken off self-quarantine and are advised to self-monitor.
B. If the RT-PCR / Rapid Antigen Test result is positive, person (s) will be treated as a confirmed COVID-19 case and shall follow the national isolation protocols as advised by Collective Prevention Services (CPS).
2. All travelers above the age of 10 must have a mask in their possession for use upon disembarkation, which must be worn in all public areas throughout the duration of their stay in Sint Maarten.
3. Have a printed copy of Health Authorization form to show upon arrival.
There were some discrepancies in the previous protocols which have been adjusted, this is the most up to date protocol and is subject to changes as time progresses to ensure that the experience on Sint Maarten is positive and the risks remain at a minimum.

Does anyone know if Covid test are included in the girls weekly health checks?
I just spoke with the chica I am going to visit next week. She says at her club they are tested every other week.
I asked her to go get a test the day before I arrive. I will pay for the test and the taxi.
FYI to return to the USA you need a test within 3 days of your return. I had mine done at the Health Care Laboratory in the Orange Grove shopping center near the old Harley dealer. It cost $70- and you get the results within 24 hours. I would suggest you go there to make an appointment the day you arrive. The lab is very busy and you will not get an appointment within a few days of your leaving.
I think the Covid test is a crap shoot, If you go with a chica that had the test 2 days ago, she might already be infected.
But what the hell, my little brain does the thinking in SXM.
