A tropical depression hit the Island today/tonight so it has left everything all wet. However this can be to your advantage while mongering as less people tend to leave the house.

Defiance is 100% safe IMO. I have never had any issues or ever felt afraid there. Casa Blanca on the other hand is a little more remote, however again, I have never had any issues. At both places you can park within steps of the club doors.

Some places fine, others destroyed. I will add more photos for everyone to see. Places like sunset beach bar = destroyed. Other places were untouched. Golf course is basically a beach now. There was a lot of damage to some parts of the island.

Well she figures she will get accepted as she owns an apartment, a car and has her daughter in school there as well she will have money in the bank. It is possible to get a tourist visa from Colombia, however it's just very difficult.

Ok, so it is actually Saturday at Defiance.
My first time at Defiance. Main parking lot inside the gate was full and so I had to park in the run-off lot on the side. It is a very different experience than Seamans. Defiance has much more of a strip club vibe going on. Seaman's is a bordello that sometimes has girls strip, Defiance is a strip club where the girls also work at a bordello. Okay, I got back friday from 5 days in St. Martin. Since we hit it during slow season, I can't really say I saw the best (or the worst) of St. Martin. However, these are my impressions.
1) Captain Olivers.
Not a good place. It is far from town, the rooms are average, the food is overpriced, and the service is poor. However, the one gem in this story is a small french restaraunt on premises way to the left of the marina. Good food and reasonble prices.
I wouldn't stay there again.
2) ST. Martin itself.
Not all that great. The island is pretty, and the water is really nice, but beyond that there isn't much to do unless you enjoy tourist area type stuff. Ie: small casinos, bad island music, overpriced drinks, and drunk americans with their ugly girlfriends. Traffic is bad, and I can only imagine how bad it gets in season. Driving however is safe.
3) Strip clubs
Went to 2. The first one is on the main drag and the name escapes me becaue frankly, there wasn't anything going on save a few russian strippers that think their tan't is gold lined.
Platinum. 10 bucks to get in but includes a drink. I got lap danced by the sexiest girl on the planet in there, but you pay american rates for the priviledge. All in all, not bad for an american style strip club...which of course means it is a waste of time.
4) Bordellos
I am not much of a *****-house kind of guy. Seamans was just nothing to even talk about. Carolinas had a few good looking girls in it and was populated by a large percentage of Colombians who love to talk to me because I have spent a lot of time in colombia. My friend liked a colombian girl in there and enjoyed himself in the back. I passed on the pleasure. The place across the street, not so good. Up the road you come to defiance, which is almost all Colombians from Cali, irrespective of where they tell you they are from. Their recruiter lives in Cali and sends girls from Cali. My friend like a colombian girl there with huge fakers, and I ended up giving an extremely timid and skinny newcomers 20 bucks because I felt sorry for her. This place is big, safe and low pressure. Good place if you find the right girl.
As for me, I spent all my time in Casa Blanca. It reminded me of going to the DR back in the day, and the girls in true dominican fashion were trying to make the best out of being stuck there in that shithole of an abandoned hotel. Dominican girls are really something special, especially really hot ones, and there were three really hot dominicans in Casa Blanca mixed in with your regular bunch of big assed average girls.
In the final analysis, you can have fun in St. Martin, but as a mongering destination it is newbie country. If you like colombians, go to colombia. Domincians, the same. You won't be put on a 20 or 30 minute clock, won't get a girl who fucks multiple times a day (unless you want that) or be forced to sleep in some bed where other men ejaculate on a regular basis, and the cost is much more in St. Martin because, well they can charge more.
I would return to St. Martin only if I was boating or forced into some cruise ship situation. If mongering was a secondary choice other than the reason for going, I could make much better sense out of going there. Other than that, there are much better places to spend your time.

I used Zing's excellent map but I still had to search for a while. Mostly my fault, jet lagged and all.....but also due to the fact that rental car maps are not that good. Thy also highlight different roads than on Zing's map. I thought I would add a report on directions so that people can find them in one place. I repeated the titles in the body of the report so that it shows up in searches.
Directions to Carolinas: Starting in Phillipsburgh, go North. Take the road that is to the East of the Great Salt Pond (GSP). If the GSP is the face of a clock, at 2'0 clock the road forks. Take the left fork. At the time of this writing, there is a Colombian restaurant (belle Pais...my beautiful country) on the right and that could be a good landmark. Now you should be going west along the northern coast of GSP. Quarter mile in, turn left next to James's grocery store. The building on the left behind the grocery is Carolinas. Across from it is the Lavender color Crystal club, which is on the right. If you see a "Bible church" to the left you missed your turn and you have gone too far.
Directions to Seamans: Back track to the main road and again across from the Colombian restaurant turn left. After a couple of blocks, you will see Seamans to the left with a high, fenced-in parking. They have a large rectangular sign. Hard to miss but I missed it the first time I drove by!
Directions to Defiance: Continue on the road going North toward Oyster pond. The road is winding and climbs. Do not make any turns. At the top of the hill, as you just start to go downhill, you will see a large arched entrance to the right. They have a large rock wall around the parking. If you pass it the roads winds to the right around the rock wall and you are going downhill. If you direction signs to Middle region and Lower quarter you have gone too far.
Another reason it is hard for first timers is because the roads are narrow and two lane. When you are driving by yourself, it is hard to take the eyes of the road and look for signs.

Actually, the French side is starting to have occasional DUI Checkpoints. But you have to be truly drunk for any problems to arise.

There is so much on this forum about the Chica clubs but not much about the Strip Clubs so I thought I would start by dropping a line or two about SCs.
BB is on the west side of the island next to the airport. As you are heading from the airport towards Cole bay, take the first right at the end of the airport road. You can actually see it from a distance. No cover charge when we went it. Girls are mostly Colombians, couple from DR and couple from Russia. Dances are $30/song. Songs are short...3 min or so. I tried a Colombiana and stopped after one song. Not worth it. I tried a Russian for four songs. very good mileage but the short songs made it not worth the expense.
Finally, I tried a cute Colombian, Diana. She is a super cute spinner and I negotiated 5 songs for $100. As far as strip clubs go, she is very good. High mileage, DFK (surprisingly) and finished with an HJ.

The best way to get around this small island is by scooter, or if you dare, why not a real Harley? The traffic is terrible, it took me one hour from Philipsburg to Marigot in a bus, should have taken 15 minutes by scooter.
Scooter rental is found in Philipsburg, in the east part of town. Near Sang's Supermarket, across the street of a Shell gas station, you will find Nasa car and scooter rental.
Harleys can be found on the road from Marigot towards Airport and Philipsburg. Some four kilometers from Marigot there is a big sign on your right hand, Can't miss it.
Another excellent way to get around is by the van buses. They go all over the island, every 5-10 minutes. There is a sign in the windshield of the van that tells you the destination. You pay 1 or 2 USD depending on distance. You can stop the van everywhere just by waving, and get off (!) anywhere just by saying ”stop please”.
Additional info on Défiance and Carolinas (Some of it already provided)
Défiance is on the road from Pburg to Oyster Pond. Problem is there is no sign in the roundabout in Pburg. Take the road where you can see the big salt lake directly on your left hand side. It climbs. In an uphill, you'll se a ”SELF LAVAGE” on your left. 50 meters later there is a big portal on your right. That's it! Parking is in the yard inside the portal, opposite of some open air bars.
Carolinas is also on the Pburg-Oyster Pond road. Earlier than Defiance, you have to find the road towards the Zoo. Sign is broken, so you have to find Restaurant Belle Pais on yor right hand. There, to your left, is the road for the Zoo. Not far ahead, you'll find ”Johnny's II” grocery. Behind to the left is Carolinas. If you see a big white church on your left you've past it.
You can reach both places with the van buses from Pburg, if you have the nerve to say ”stop please” in front of a *****-house!

I am surprised that nobody has given an update on Sunset.
A year and a half ago, I went there, and was not too impressed. As you walked in, it seemed like a small mexican type bar (not enough room for 20 girls to fit in the bar, unless they were sitting on each other's laps! ), was not impressed at all and never went back in my last 6 visits to the island since!

If it's possible to fail as a monger I think I've accomplished that. Since I did not run out of fingers, only counted 8 working at Carolina and about the same at Defiance. Parking lot was packed, but not so much in the club itself.
There were a few fairly high quality vendors in both clubs, at Defiance Natalie will be there until April and remains the pick of the litter.
Seamans parking was at a premium, so figured it would be standing room only inside, but again, such was not the case.
The cast of characters at Seamans still has the widest selection of the 3 venues, with something for most everyone's taste.

I had a session with Cavita a few years ago. She didn't look too bad back then, but I know she has been working the circuit for a few years and that will take it's toll. She is a most accomplished salesperson and probably makes a decent living at it..
My session with her was a bit clinical as she is a bit of a germaphobe and meticulously washed the little stick before beginning the session. Definitely not GFE but over-all a pretty good ride. Her being a native English speaker did help make the session a bit more enjoyable for me.

I hung out in the lot for a good long while to get a sense of the security situation. Last year they had a security guard posted in the lot, but did not see anyone the past few days. Traffic was far less than at Seamans or even Carolina, but did not see any indications that would trigger threat warning. At least nothing different than the other clubs and their lots.
Majority of clients seemed to be locals, interesting as the price structure is 20% higher than Seamans.
Talent scouts recruit exclusively from the DR here. Mostly Santo Domingo. Some vendors were a bit pushy, others more low key. A couple of stunning gals, and some better suited for the fetish client.
They actually perform at this club, with pole dances, and laps geared toward closing the sale. Some most effectively.
Price here is $50, which seemed less value than at the other clubs, with Seamans still being best return on value at $40 for 30 min.
The girls here seemed far more aggressive and a bit greedy than the Columbians. But that could simply have been my experience.
Look forward to reviewing new crop next trip around.

So my net worth continues to shrink by the day, but I have to keep my priorities in order. My $1 18-months ago is now worth about 50 cents. But there are travel deals to be had along with reduced air fares. So, at worst, my $40 sessions with the fine women at Defiance, Seaman's or Carolinas, will cost me the equivalent of $80 because of my losses. Maybe things will turn for the better before my next trip to St. Maarten. Regardless, St. Maarten mongering is still a great bang for the buck (no pun intended). What a relief. Now I can worry about less important things like keeping a job, the house, and credit card debt.

So what about Casablanca, worth a ride up the hill and around the bend? You say some stunners, but when I go I seem to get more of the pushy DR attitude which you describe and which mi amigo from DR says is not abnormal for them. Also security issues seem to take the fun out of hangin there for any extended period.
Arriving Friday and need to avoid seamans a bit because mi novia in residence there which may limit my mongering. Option to go anyway and politely ignore her but could prove difficult. How was the action at Carolinas?

The selection at Carolina has been improving by the day. While they do not yet have the quantity offered by Seamans, there are some very high quality vendors currently in residence, among them Carolina, Jenny and Stephanie.
Again, I did not find the security situation at Casablanca to be an issue of concern, unlike Sunset had the potential to be.
However, the pushy attitudes of the DR residents did not add to the general experience, and might take some time and effort to find one that was worth more than a single toss. Also I found that fact that house rate was 50 then being hit up for 'propina' made it a more expensive location than I found it worth. That said, still went back to give one very high visual quality vendor a whirl. With no luck as she must be a strictly nocturnal denizen of the deep.
Amusing experience at Seamans. Dropped by for a brief stay, and found that some odd sort of protocol must exist, as I had visited Paola twice before, but saw Jessica last visit. This time Paola saw me, did not come over, nor did I ask her to, and few others expressed much interest.
Maybe it was my aftershave. But am pretty sure getting dissed in a brothel is not a good indicator that running for public office is anywhere in the future!
That is enough for this trip. Back to the world of bailouts and big budgets.

I can't believe she is still hanging on after many years maby 4 years ago she has been in and out of seamens, she is a great sales women and tried to get me to pay her just for talking to her and useing up her time on a dead afternoon, she should be lucky I put up with her nonstop yaking all afternoon I should have paid her to stop talking and leave me alone.
Diana and I went to seamans to drop off a few things and pick up some money she was owed as we both leave on Tuesday. I saw a few very dooable chicas at Seamans.
We then went to carolinas for lunch. At exactly 4 pm 2 very hot chicas left the bar with escorts. I believe the hot ones are taken very early and you have to get there at sign in to meet the entire lineup.

I am in Bogota. Just got back from 5 days in Cartagena. Went to a Jorge Celedon concert in a beautiful, intimate 400-year old theater, with Victor Manuelle and even Miss Colombia. I was with a local girl, so she got us into all kinds of fun activities in El Centro Historico. Saturday night we went to the Colombian emmy awards show and she bribed our way iinto the inner circle. Gotta love her street smarts. I never saw so many beautiful women in one place.
In Bogota I have found some hot, fun girls and had a few disappointments. Went to the Santa Fe red light district and ran into a girl I knew a bit in St Maarten and found lots of girls interested in St Maarten. The neighborhood is scary, I only went in the daytime and had no problems. The club that is most similar to St Maarten is Atunes - open from 10am, good lighting so you can see about 30 to 40 girls in the aftenroon, rooms upstairs, cheap beers, no cover. Even better than St Maarten the music is at a nice level that allows conversation. Had 2 incredible sessions there with different girls (not the youngest or sexiest or most enhanced). 40K pesos, which is $15.
Had a LOT of probblems in St Maarten because of all the intimate reports that I posted.

Yes I hear from my amiga "L" in Bogota work is hard and pay is cheap. Fifteen usd about the going rate, muchas chicas y hombres cheapi, muchas mafia. With respect to sxm there are not as many cruise ships coming so the pickings are better and cheaper. There are some killers at all the clubs.
The beginning of February I took a chica on St Martin Diana out for the night and she woke up with some cold sores so we both went out and got some valtrex. She returned to Seamans and the manager said to leave until the cold sores were gone—good for me cheaper and no bar fine. She stayed with me for 8 days. When she returned to the club the manager said she had no more room for Diana so she should return to Colombia.
I gave her the key to the boat and she stayed aboard and kept it nice and clean until I returned. We then spent the last 11 days together and we both returned home the same day.

It is always interesting the differences in threat perceptions we all bring. Both Casa and Carolina have had issues with police involvement that landed them in the local papers.
The one thing about Casa is the double key locked gate required to access the 'fun house' side of the place. You could say it offers some protection - but also serves as the gate to your cage. This lack of easy egress bothers me more than any other aspect of the place. The threat to the parking lot is in it's isolation from the main road with easy areas of concealment behind large rock formations.
I have not seen first hand any grouping by likely bad guys there - in fact have not seen much of any crowds there at all.
This is not to say any of these places are risk free, or even low risk - simply look around at the patron population. Most have no real interest in things beyond their own, but most anytime you can be viewed as one of the 'have's' and another that is a 'have not' - it does not take too much stirring of the pot to create a froth.
I have not had the pleasure of attending the 'cock fights'. Probably a good thing, as my idea of this would be to strap double sided straight razor blades to owners 'cock' and allow the roosters to wager on which owner would end up a eunich.
As you can tell - Michael Vick and I would not make for happy cell mates.
Would be interested to hear the thinking behind the local constables fear in visiting Casa - when armed. Perhaps, like Barney Fife, they only give each a single bullet to carry in their breast pocket.

The pland I saw for the new club is a first floor with a bar in front and 28 rooms in back for working. On the second floor will be 28 more rooms where the chicas live each chica will have a room where she does not work. Same setup as petite chateau. There will also be a restaurant and vip room. The restaurant will be for the chicas.
All will be new with the possible exception of the original seamans store front. He Hopes to have it open in December--but based upon caribbean time, I believe he will miss most of next season.
When it opens it will definitely be the #1 club.
I also heard from the owner of carolinas that he is thinking of adding a third floor.

I've been to St. Maarten for a day on a cruise last year, and I liked Carolinas. But I also liked Seamens better and it was nice to have that choice of places so close to each other. Now I don't know what I"m gonna do. I don't make all that much money so I try to keep the cost of getting to wherever I'm going pretty cheap so I can have plenty of money when I'm there. I'm sure most people in these times are doing the same thing.
Mel: Thanks for the update. I think you are right about the Carribean construction schedule. Nothing seems to move very fast, although bonus $$$ might create incentives. Should be awsome when finished. Hopefully, they will have some additional parking.
Bettaman: I would not worry too much about Seaman's Club. Defiance is just up the road from Seaman's on your right, and Carolina's is a stone's throw from Seaman's on the road to the left before getting to Seaman's. I have had great experiences at all three. If you have Google Earth, check my post a few months ago and you can see the locations on the aerial maps.
I forgot to mention the rumor that seamans will be moving to the blueberry Motel directly behind Seamans. This was told to me by the owner of The motel.
I would still go to St Martin carolinas has a nice lineup, and I have hand picked 3 hotties that will be at defiance in may-July.
It is always good to wait around defiance and see what pops up out of the rooms about 8Pm. I found many colombian treasures there.
