Greetings,

This section is intended to provide a place for Forum Members to suggest new subjects for possible future surveys.

In proposing your suggestions for new survays, I would ask you to be more specific that simply posing the possible subject. In other words, a suggestions for a new survay needs to include all of the following elements:

1. The Survey's Description, which will be included in the report that begins the survey's text comments. This can detail the reasons behind the survey, how the survey results are intened to be utilized, ect.

2. The Primary Survey Question, which is what's posted at the top of the survey form itself. There's a practical limit of approximately 60 characters.

3. The Survey Responses, which are the selections that the survey participants will make. These should be as short as possible, and in some sensible sequence.

For example, here's an example of what I don't need:

"I want to know what guys pay SW's for BJ's"

Instead, here's what you should propose:

Survey's Description: This survey is intended to ascertain the average price paid by mongers for a BBBJ from SW's in New York City. I'd like to know this information so that I am in a better position to negoiate the correct price myself.

Primary Survey Question; What is the average price you pay for a BBBJ from a SW in NYC?

Survey Responses:

1. Less than $10.00
2. $10.00 to $20.00
2. $20.00 to $30.00
2. $30.00 to $40.00
5. More than $40.00

What is the point of "Suggesting New Surveys" if all his moderator does is ignore them anyway? 3 surveys were put on the CA board MONTHS AGO! None of the results have resulted in ANY CHANGES! Suggesting surveys is a waste of typing on this board!

You have really improved the site, so please don't take this as a criticism. We still get an occasional "the site is too busy" message, and I am partly to blame for this because I spend a lot of time on line, researching information on areas I will be visiting on business trips. My suggestion would be to have a download function, so that we could download all the information from one section and read it off line. It would also be great to be able to limit it from one date to another. I believe this would reduce on-line activity since we could read much of it off-line.

Again, this is just a suggestion.

Thanks for the great service you are providing to all of us mongers. I have to agree with Pheonix, in that it would be nice to have the link to the USA site available on the main page. I would also like to ask if it would be possible to tie our login on the International site to the USA site, to keep things simple when transitioning from one site to the other.

A lot (possible more then 1/3) of the users are not American or English, so English language is not his first option. A new functionality, could help a lot users like me, that have to write the reports in a word document and pass it to the web site, and if we want to change it again, have to pass it to the word, and again back to the site. Just a thing that would save us a lot of time and some troubles, like when some one after us makes CRTL-V. :)

Although this doesn't apply to me, some people might have a problem with subject lines that say "New Private Message at InternationalSexGuide." That's probably not something most people want wives/girlfriends/co-workers/children to see. How about just "New Private Message at ISG"?

Also though the reports of distinquision thread is good for highligting info.

The best info from the reports can better utilized if there in a distilled format.

The forum has a calendar function already builtin, but I've determined that with as many members as this forum has that the calendar would be overwhelmed with too many entries. What we need is a separate calendar for each major city, but it doesn't have that capability, just one calendar for the entire site.

Just a suggestion: Would it be possible to split up the picture threads to a thread which exclusively contains pictures and another thread for comment on the pics (may be with links between the two).

It's always disappointing to click into the pics folder (say in the Thailand section) and then note that all new things that were added are just comments.

The answer is yes, but it's a lot of work because the admin function for splitting a thread does not indicate what reports have photos and which do not, so I have to open a second browser window and then switch back and forth to identify and tag the reports without photos that should be moved to another thread.

Let me put it this way: If it was easy, then I'd already be doing it.

I know being a Senior Member would take care of my suggestion, but I've noticed most of my reports, questions etc. Take a few hours to post. It may take several more hours for someone to respond to my post.

I'm not suggesting you are slow as I know there are different time zones, many posts to review and more. My question goes to the need to delay and monitor the posts. I see you edit posts to meet guidelines. What would be the harm in allowing immediate posts and then editing when/if necessary? This scenario would probably only have a few people view unedited messages but the timeliness of the post would be a nice feature. The benefit is to members that travel to other countries and are on a short time frame and are hoping to see a response in a couple of hours before the evening or free time evades them.

Just my two cents. This seems to be the best place to post this type of question although it is not a survey question.

When subscription is active the thumbnail is good but why don't you put a link to view all pics by member. Some members are very good like IT travel and others but it will be cool to view all the photos for each member. To my mind i have no way to save my personal photos his forum is the only way for me to do it so if I want to see all my photos how i can?

I don't know if it is the adequate place to post the following, but I am not allowed to start a new thread in this section, therefore, I add a new report to this one...

Not a big issue, but I've noticed several (very likely automated) modifications after I posted a report and at least two of them should not occur in my humble opinion.

First one affects the usual transliteration of the Thai word for "temple". I wrote it "W" + "a" + "t" but it had been modified in "what".

The second (automated?) modification affects the dashes in a middle of a sentence (when used as brackets). Dashes are changed into periods and the aside then looks like an independent sentence which makes the real whole sentence difficult to read.

Have a look for instance at my post here: 812338, "despite what you are saying" was not an independent sentence in my original text, but an aside between two dashes, just as explained in this book: http://books.google.com/books?id=otgF-g2AUGIC&pg=PA199&lpg=PA199

Once again, it's no big deal and I could have used commas instead of dashes in the second case.

Currently the gallery has over1 4676 pages in standard view. It is nice that you have put possibility to sort by username, forum.name,date and filename. However, this does not help if i want to locate a photo posted by a user, forum,date etc if the ranking puts it somewhere in the thousandth page. Is there a way you can enable some form of directory listing in the gallery or search possibility.
