Good report. A couple of questions, what was the going rate for the hour? Do they have massage tables or beds?
Golden Times open at 7:30pm, they asked if I came by taxi, I said I walked from the Casino, the rate was $84 US. Its $94 if you arrive by cab.There were many ladies, perhaps 30 to choose from, they all were acceptable, some were great. The room had a massage table and a shower. There were bars from the ceiling, I asked the lady what they were for, she indicated some girls walk on the persons back and hold the rails. I have been to China where the ladies use similar bars with red ropes to enhanse your experience. Apparently Panama was different if she was thruthful.

I'm in Panama City with my wife in June staying at veneto and need to know where I can go for a quick piece of ass. Like a mp thats close to the veneto. And what are there prices at same.

If you are staying at the Veneto, you can walk down the block and step into the Oasis MP. They have a website and you can print off their $5 off coupon. Between 11am and 230pm they have $50 FS lunch special. After 230pm the prices go up to $65 an hour, $70 for take out. There are two shifts of chicas, 11am to 7pm and the 7pm to 3am shift. Quality of the stable is not as good as Golden Times, but sometimes you find a diamond in the rough, or quality girl who is down on her luck and is just doing this for a short stint.
A half mile away, on Via Espana, there is a Blockbuster video store on the corner of Via Argentina. There is small courtyard behind it, about 20 meters. Inside, you will find River Club <(very obvious), and Relax Oriental ....less obvious....both are dives compared to Oasis. But they are close and I have gone to both dozens of times, come up empty handed, only to find girls who would go on to dance at Miami Club or other diamonds in the rough.
Can you check out of the net for 90 minutes....then you can take a cab....but not during rush hour between 430 and 7pm....and go to Golden Times. Much has been written about it.

Passenger load between ATL and PTY must be dropping off. Delta used a Boeing 737 to make that flight. <Must be the economy. When I stepped out of the airport, it was past 930pm and as the airport was pretty empty, I didnīt try getting a cab doing a drop off in order get a good fare. So, after a long wait for my check in bag, I was in a hurry to get moving. I told one of the touts I wanted to pay $25 for the cab, and he found me one. I regretted not paying the $28, which seems to be the new going rate, since the driver did not take the toll road and traffic slowed us down, if you could believe it.
Made a $38 reservation at the Hotel Centroamericano on Travelocity. It is in a very working class neighborhood, but a two mile walk to Veneto. At night, there seemed to be a lot of people in the streets, even some chicas. There was a rally in the neighborhood for a presidential candidate and they set off 100 or so really loud firecrackers. Hotel Centroamericano is clean but spartan, but I needed a cheap reservation for the first night. The plan was to move to the Residencial Los Arcos in the morning.

However, you guys can stop cruising Fantastic Casino for chicas. They just donīt go there. No attached hotel and the casino is designed to support expat Chinese gamblers and not gringos. And when the Chinese businessmen want to pay for some strange, they just go to GT where they get a big discount. Asian American mongers, could pass for local Chinese if they spoke Spanish well enough and get an hour with a GT girl for just $·50 or maybe less.

Woke up in the Hotel Centroamericano. It was noisy and noisier with the airconditioner on. Had steak and fried plantains for breakfast, with tip, it just cost $5. Walked up the street to the Residencial Los Arcos. They could not get me into one of their $33 rooms, but they could had vacant $44 rooms. It is a busy time, with the run up to the elections, the weekend coming up, and the rennovations of one of their 8 wings took many rooms out of play. Clean, efficient, and being well set up for trysts make it an attractive alternative to the casion and hotel complexes on Via Espana.
Transferred hotels. Later I took a cab to the Oasis. They only had three girls working, one of whom was Tatiana. Tatiana was the tall MILF from my October report. I tried the gasolinera trick, and the Popeye's Chicken trick. Does it work for you?
How hard is it for the cabbie to figure out that people drive to a gas station, but what pedestrian would ask for ride to a gas station? He drops you off, and then it becomes a waiting game. If he gets wise you are heading to GT, he will beat you there and demand his $10 reward, which will be tacked to your bill. What are you going to do, hang around at a gas station for no plausible reason?
That is why I like the Casino. They drop you off, you get wanded, you go inside, you use their restroom and by the time you step outside, he has gotten a new fare and is long gone by the time you come outside.

After the nice session at Oasis I hung out a bit down town. I walked to the corner of Via Argentina and Via Espana, the site of Blockbuster Video. Went the River Club, but was told the chicas were not set to arrive unti 4pm. Went to Relax Oriental.

First I usually drive myself so it's not an issue. But it always worked
for me. I have had taxis drop me at the gasolinera at least a couple of times, once at McDonalds across the street, a couple of times when I was hungry at Don Lee's Chinese restaurant on the next block on Tumba Muerto away from downtown. (Actually, from several years ago, I recall a Chinese restaurant inside Plaza Mirage. I don't know if it's any good or even if it's still there, but there were a lot of orientals eating there the time I looked in.)
Anyway, I've never had a problem. But I've got a decent line of B.S. For example, my girlfriend told me to meet her there to buy her some gasoline and I can't figure out why she wouldn't let me just go by her apartment but I figure maybe she has some guy living with her and I think maybe I'm just a stupid dumb ass. Hey, forget the gasolinera. Let's go by her apartment. Well, no, I think I'm not sure I can find it and she might have left by now. And I'm basically a coward, I don't want to get my throat cut. Maybe she's married. I met her the last time I was in Panama and we've been communicating by Email. She got me to send her some money a couple of times. Yeah, maybe I am a stupid dumb ass. What do you think, are Panamanian women honest, or are they lying *****s like in my country? They seem so sweet. Hey, just drop me off at the service station.
Also, if the taxi driver says something hinting he thinks you're going to GT or he wants to take you to a place with girls, pretend you're an evangelist and start trying to save his soul.
BTW, either McDonalds, if you go inside, or certainly Don Lee should work without good Spanish. McDonalds is open late and you have to cross the street to get to GT, so it's less likely to arouse your taxidriver's suspicions, vs. dropping you off at, say, a closed, totally deserted fast food joint on the same side of the street as GT.

1. Oasis is the MP closest to Veneto and the best place for you for a "quick piece of ass". Go out the front door of the Veneto Hotel. Turn right on Via Veneto, walking toward Espana. Oasis is on your right in a small strip shopping center, below ground level (but you can see it from the street) just before you get to the driveway leading up a hill to to Hotel Panama. Cost is around $50 for lunchtime special, which runs from around 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and around $65 to $70 afterwards. Maybe someone can correct me on prices and times if I'm off. You should ask for the special as otherwise they'll probably try to charge you the higher rate.
2. The main road you'll be taking to the casino and Golden Time from downtown is Tumba Muerto. Actually it's called Ricardo J. Alfaro close to downtown, and the name will change to Tumba Muerto. While you're traveling down Tumba Muerto, keep your eye pealed to your right and try to spot Plaza Mirage, where GT is located. To get to Casino Fantastic, the taxi driver will take a road to the left off of Tumba Muerto and go a little ways before dropping you off. You'll walk back to Tumba Muerto, go to your right, and cross Tumba Muerto to get to Plaza Mirage. GT is in on the side of the Plaza farthest from downtown. The first time you go I'd strongly suggest you pay the extra $10 and tell the taxi driver to take you GT. If your heart is set on trying to save $10, and if you think you can handle the taxi driver, I'd ask to go to McDonalds across the street from Plaza Mirage or to the gas station next to the plaza, as I suggested below. It wouldn't be worth $10 to me to hoof it from the casino, especially late at night, and since it's your first time you don't want to go wandering around trying to find the place.
3. GT is open from 7:30PM until very late, like around 4:00 AM. You're supposed to get one hour. You'll have about 5 minutes after you pick from the lineup to chat with your date. If you want more than one pop and she says no, ask for another woman or wait or ask for the next lineup.

Visited Relax Oriental this afternoon, pretty much as avertised in previous posting, additional info: PH 263. 3145, address, Vio Argentina / Galerios Alvear # 7, it is off street, in a courtyard, after a little hunting I found the place, back rear corner of the courtyard, gound floor, has sign on door. "Relax Oriental", pretty basic, reasonable clean, small rooms, selection of 4 ladies, acceptable, gringo friendly, $50 for an hour massage with FS, decent massage and OK FS, again rather basic facilities, upon exiting saw a sign for River Club across the courtyard, I am in Panama City for a few days, next on agenda is Havana Club tonight and Oasis tomorrow afternoon.

OMG! 2.5 hours! He waited aroung that long for a measly $10 cut from GT? That is determination or just plain spite! One time, I told a cabbie to take me to the casino, and he asked if I was going to Golden Times.
By the way, GT opens at about 7pm. If you want to get there right when it is open, start travelling early, cause that is the middle of rush hour.

Saturday was supposed to be a big day of repeat appointments with girls off the clock. I had planned to spend the afternoon with sexy, non-siliconed, Paisa "Salome" from GT before she was to report to work. Just got back from a productive trip to pty. This report probably won't contribute much to the public knowledge of pty, but I thought I'd write a little about my experience. After researching the comments on the board, I figured the Marriott was the best place to stay and it was. The location is convenient to all the major attractions. And of course, being a Marriott reward member doesn't hurt either. I was able to use 60, 000 reward points for 3 nights on a 4 night stay. This brought my total to $160. Split that with my wingman and there you have it, a trifling $80 for the entire stay. Anyway, just exit the front entrance of the hotel and shazzam Habano's is directly across the street. Make a quick left from the entrance and walk two blocks and Le Palace is on the right. And with a little more determination, you can get to Veneto and Capri which are next to each other and a little more than an 8 minute walk. La Bodequita, Club Guru, Moods, and Golden Times are all no more than 5-8 minutes via taxi and should cost you no more than $4 for the ride. Also, for great eating on the cheap, Costa Azul is the one stop shop. With a large variety on the menu and for cheap we ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner-the entire trip. Unbeatable with only a short 2 minute walk from the Marriott.
Now on to more important issues. Do to the I'll-timed presidential elections we only had two full days of unhindered mongering on Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday all our favorite spots were closed except GT. Some genius decided that all establishments that sale alcohol should be closed leading up to the elections. Anyway, we managed to visit GT, Veneto, Bodeguita, Guru, and Habano's. Rather than give you a detail account of my experiences at each place I'll summarize and utimaltely give you my take in general on the feasibility of pty mongering.
To begin with, the spots we visited were filled primarily with Colombian women mostly from Cali and Medillin. Very few darker Panamanians in these particular spots with the exception of Guru and Moods which is mostly frequented by local panamanians. I found the talent, at GT, Veneto, and Habano's to be unbelievable with many girls ranging from 7-10's. I consider myself to be a good judge of talent. Anyway, as talked about previously on this board, bodeguita is dark inside and hard to see what you're looking at. No worries, just wait till one of the flashing disco lights shines on your unsuspecting prey and you shall have a glimpse of your subject-pass or fail. Some have shunned this place because they think it's primarily a dance club. Not really, it appeared to me that this is mainly a bar where only a few people use open space to make their own dance floor. Therefore, go and have fun.
While at GT, choosing the right girl in a line-up with such awe-inspiring talent can be difficult. With such a short time to make an assesment on each girl paraded out in front of you, it is easy to make the bad choice that will deep six your entire experience. However, I noticed that body language is usually the key here. If a chica comes out and smiles and looks you directly in the eye, usually that translates into good service. I would strongly advise against going with the 10 with no smiles or enthusiasm over an 8 with all the enthusiasm. I know this is common knowledge but some time we tend to forget about this simple concept. Trust me, I made the mistake of picking #5-a ten, solely on her looks. It showed as she turned out such a lazy and uninspiring performance the likes of even Brittney Spears would be ashamed of. Well, after struggling to salvage that lame session to no avail, I had imagined that I would have had a better experience with a blow-up doll. Oh well, I chose more wisely the next day and was completely satisfied. As for Veneto's and Habanos both are great options to add to your experience, but trying to bargin the chicas down to the $85 that you would spend in GT is quite difficult if not impossible. So be prepared to pay at leat $100. Moods and Guru are regular clubs that the Panamanians go to and have good talent but I didn't try to see if take-out was available. Nevertheless, I still had fun and think that options are available here if you really try.
All in all, for those considering a trip to pty I would strongly encourage a visit. I've been to DR, CR, SXM, BR and Mexico and the talent here ranks right up there with them and actually better than DR and SXM. However, when considering a second trip, cost-effectiveness comes into play. With prices ranging from $85 on the low-end and $300 on the high-end, it is more expensive than the other spots and probably not a repeat form me. Sure you can get a duck here for $40. But do you want a duck with the available overstocked talent? Anyway, it's on to Curacao. So long!

I was staying with my dad at the time, so I could not do a lot of partying, but when we went out at night around 8 or so, near the balboa area I would see these buses, some were double decker and some were not. It is possible to bag a hot Columbian for $80 out of the Veneto. It takes some doing though, like popping for a few rounds and being 3 a.m. also helps. Make a return trip to PTY in July with my wingman, but it wasn't my first choice. I've enjoyed CR and DR much more. The airfare was the best $268 R/T out of Tampa. Can't beat that with a stick!

It depends on whether you run across someone who you have some mutual chemistry with. Your chances are good. Not as good as, say, Thailand, but pretty good for the western hemisphere, provided you're willing to spend several hundred dollars (more for a real stunner, less for a dog, depending on whether she likes you). these are called "chivas parranderas" aka party buses literally. Normally they are chartered by large groups people in advance, I dont think they would allow you joining one of the prebooked parties, as normally everyone on the bus knows each other, but you might check out before they leave on a tour to see. They normally start in the Delta gas station near Hooters.

In Panama its all still very good. The most beautiful chicas and great service at a good price. I found Golden time to have a smaller lineup not the thirty or even twenty chicas as before but more like 12-15. Your other choice would be Habanos, Bodeguita or the Casino. I'm not a fan of casinos, so I don't have an informed opinion. The downside to Habanos or Bodeguita is that you may not find the best selection depending on the time or day of the week you have available. But they are indeed good options. I would put priority on Habanos. Be sure to negotiate 100 bucks maximum.
The only thing I don't like at GT is that usually service is very mechanical even is the girls are nice to you. Have not been very lucky in that sense in this particular venue.
One thing that can help a bit depending on the woman, pay the $140 for 1-1/2 hours take-out and go with your GT date to a love motel or your hotel room. Ply her with alcohol.

I have been told that you can bring back two boxes of cuban cigars from Panama, does anyone know if this is true and what is the best place to get them. (I'm guessing the cigar store next to the cigar bar has them? ) By the way thanks for the responses to my question regarding gifts to smooze the chicas. just returned from a five day stay in panama city, here are a few observations:
i saw a lot of americans arrive at the airport and get all the way up to the immigration officers only to learn that they hadn't purchased the $5 "tourist card." when you get to the bottom of the escelator, take an immediate left to the small stand to make your purchase. it will speed up the process. there is no exit fee when leaving panama.
checked out la bodequita for the first time. i went on a saturday night, a little before midnight. there is a popular disco nearby so traffic was a nightmare. the cabbie dropped me off on the main waterfront road and it's about a 1/2 block up from that point. there's a building under construction, marina something or other. most any cab driver can get you there. it was about a five minute trek by cab from the veneto. as you approach the bar, there are about four tables outside and at that time each had about 4 stunners at each. after being frisked by one of the several burly security guards, i paid my $10 cover and went inside. it is not a big place, maybe 1200 square feet with one long l-shaped bar and a smaller service bar. the place is dark and by 1 am was pretty packed, at least 3:1 ration, women to men. for a while it seemed i was the only gringo there. as with most places, "cien" was the first response, but it isn't hard to get quality for $80. most of the talent was in the 5 - 8 range. again, being dark and crowed could benefit a pickpocket. i always wear shorts, cargo variety with button flaps on the pockets. it also helps to take a fake wallet or two and put your real wallet or cash in a less obvious place. as the night wears on, the strobe lights and techno music will wear on you, but i give it a "must see." drinks were relatively cheap once inside, even the mixed chica drinks i bought.
the veneto was same as my first trip. most girls of interest at the bar or in close proximity. make eye contact and you're ready to start the negotiation process. my rule is if they offer cien, come back with $80 and a "possible" propina if the service is worth it. it hasn't failed me yet. you can also find girls at the slots, spending their hard earned money, lol. again, most girls were 6 - 8, an occassional 9. weekends are best, but girls a plenty any night of the week. one of the girls i took to my hotel asked me to take her back to the veneto , stating she wouldn't be able to get back in by herself. not sure if thats true or not, but i didn't mind, i was up for another round anyway.
checked out the cigar bar, habanos, but got there way too early (5 pm). the bartender told us it doesn't start filling with talent until 9 pm. by midnight it can get pretty crowded and mostly women (columbianas), ranges from 6 - 9 in quality. $100 is the norm, but $80 is doable too.
i stayed at the tower house suites, around the corner from the executive hotel. i give it a 2.5 star quality(3 star by panamanian standards), outdoor pool, three computer cafe, free breakfast and best of all, no chica hassles. i was never even stopped at the desk. rooms are very large with sitting areas, similar to an embassy suites as you enter. bathrooms are very small. walking distance (2 - 3 blocks) to hooters, elite ii and la palace. price: $47 - $55 + tax. booked off the kayak.com site which takes you to other engines. in this stay, i was booked via skoosh.com, which i've found to be reliable.

Can anyone give an update on this place? I'm in Panama for a week in July and it sounds like the next best Blue Marlin (Costa Rica). The Veneto gets boring after a day or two. I'm not a massage parlor kinda guy, prefer a bar atmosphere. The more I drink, the better they look :)

DocIt depends on your budget I guess, but the closes hotel to La Bodeguita is the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel. Just 60 m away (on Av. Balboa).
By the way, the prices at GT are still at 84 US$ (just avoid the 10 U$ "taxi driver" fee).

The Miramar Intercontinetal would be closer, and is in walking distance. Unless I wanted to wander by Elite and the clubs on Avenida Uruguay on the way to LB, I'd take a taxi from GuantMan's picks. But then I'm lazy.
I've stayed in all three hotels. The Executive charged me a $10 joiner fee if they caught me entering with a chica. For me it represented good value for the money. It's comfortable, and if you turn the A/C on high there's no problem with street noise, which is a big problem for mid-priced hotels in this part of the city. The Bristol is the nicest of the three hotels, maybe the nicest in Panama City. There was no chica charge there, but a nasty walk of shame. They told me gruffly to either register my date or alternately they could have security interview her. I had no problem with women at the Miramar Intercontinental, but I didn't push it, by coming back late at night or with a skanky looking hooker. This is probably my favorite of the three hotels, in part because it's on the ocean and the buffet restaurant is great, although the rooms and service in the Bristol are better. However, if you want to be right in the middle of a bunch of *****s, go with the Executive or Bristol -- they're both close to Le Palace, Elite, and Habano's, and not far from the Veneto and Oasis.
And that's a long answer to a simple question.

Had an overnight layover in PTY on my way to CTG flying Copa Airlines. Again stayed at the Las Vegas and again for the rate of $60.50.
Venetto quality and quantity was down on this night (Wednesday), but I believe that this fluctuates on the day of the week and what the hotel decides to do with "working girls" on particular night. Went to Habano's, Bodequita, and Miami Club and was not too impressed (probably because I knew what would await me in CTG). The prices were in the $100 range with the time and services negotiable. On the other hand, I did go to Le Palace and was impressed with the increase of the number of girls with the "girl next door look" (my type) in addition to the normal cosmetically enhanced chicas. However, the prices were still ridiculous-- $200-$300 for the girls and an additonal $150 for the house. Did not partake at all in PTY-- saving my energy (and my money) for CTG.

This is a report from my visit July 22nd thru 28th. Arrived in PTY and got a ride from the girl recommended by the owner of the apartment, Mura, great girl, though not a real looker. Good report there. I guess now you know better where to go in PTY and specially to avoid the drinks for the ladies and to take it a bit slower with yours. Indeed bartenders (and everybody else over there) are generous when it comes to putting alcohol into a drink.
I think you got fair prices at Venetto for the standard (which is not in this case a massage parlour or casa). You may have gone a bit lower but it still seems quite fair to me since you report having good experiences with the girls. Still, as mentioned by our fellow monger before me, there are still other options for you to try next time.
As for the 600 for the girl in Colombia, seems like 100 a night which is not really expensive (in my opinion). My recommendation is that you pay her at the end. Sounds like you got consistent GFE at Veneto which is great. I think this place offers a nice short term alternative to Golden Times and Miami. Can't get consistent GFE at those places.

I wish it was only people wanting kickbacks!! this was something that was coming any time soon. There was an ever increasing crime rate, we started to have many, and I mean many drug related executions, robberies, assaults that were never seen before in Panama.
Unfortunately, most of them were related directly to columbians or foreigners. Now this was an itch that the current government had since a long time ago, because mainly, most of the stuff going with brothels and the like was patronized by the past government.
As a funny note, one of the illegal brothels was 150m away from the current presidents house!!
Also, right now there are a lot of illegal aliens in the country, mainly prostitues and things were really starting to go out of control.
Not just raids are going on, the local highways, corredor norte and sur, are being audited because there are suspicions that the construction companies that have been administering them have already recovered the investment and they are keeping their mouths shut, apart, the current scandal involves the former president Perez Balladares aka el toro(the bull) with casino concessions that were granted to companies were he has family links and money being deposited into accounts that handle his private plane and jet.
They are also considering right now putting in a new tax on alcohol and smokes, and even limiting the working hours for clubs.
I recommend that you have your passport/visas handy, they are taking even tourists to police stations just by being around the vicinity

you might be right, but the pros and clandestine brothels(most massage parlors) where just the weak link on the chain.

If you read back my reports of about 2 years ago, you'll see some useful information that is still valid.
One above all: for me, the best hotel to go with your girl of Habanos or La Bodeguita is Los Arcos, on Cl. Arusamena, 5 mins from the bars. You were in the right neighborhood for some action. Try going to Oasis Massages. During the day (I believe from 11:00am to 2:00pm), they have a "Lunch Time Special". It is $50 for full service. I think I'm too spoiled going to Rio 6 times in the last 1.5 years where in Termas, you don't need to negotiate anything. I have never been refused anything in a Terma. I popped into a bunch of places close to the Veneto. They all said they were booked but w/ some smooth talk they would say, "call tomorrow". It all seemed like a big game to get you to pay rack rate. I hit paydirt w/ the Hotel Avila, right around the corner from Andino and Avenue Peru. Brand new, super clean, comfy and girl friendly. Kinda like a Jr. W Hotel. $70 includes Internet and breakfast. I'm including the attached info because I still can't find any info online. A real find!
I hit the 3 main spots, Casino Veneto, Bodguita, and Habanos. There was a ton of action at Veneto the first time I went but every time after, fewer and fewer girls were there. La Bodguita gets going late. A lot of hard core gals there. I used my better judgement since I was usually a little tipsy by the time I got there so I never carried out.
Habanos was just fantastic! Low-key, friendly, relatively cheap w/ the same drink prices for chicas as dudes, the place has a great vibe to it. Also, it's a great place for traveling gringos to meet. The older dude bartender in the small back bar is a great host. The first time I went, I only wanted to watch an NBA game. Then the now "infamous" Luisa introduced herself to me. I checked out La Mayor area briefly. This is the area between the fish market and Panama Viejo. La Mayor is a large strip club w/ rooms surrounded by lower end dive brothels. Anyone but locals should forget about the other places. La Mayor looks great though. It appears to be about half the price of what the "gringo" places are and I saw some good talent there. Great atmosphere too. Those gals know how to work a stipper pole!

Another place I enjoyed but wasn't a place to monger was the Super Book just up the street from Habanos and the Marriott. It's a sport book that has good food, cute servers, low lights, big couches and tons of HDTVs. I'm sure it would be fine to bring a gal from Habanos here for a change of scenery. Also a nice outdoor space.
I enjoyed Panama City. It's definately more westernized compared to other Latin destinations I have been to. That was both good and bad. For gringos that don't want to feel too much out of their element, I totally recommend it. For the adventure traveler, look further south to South America. There is only one Brazil. Then again, there is only one Luisa!

If you're looking for luxury in that area at that price, the Veneto would be a good choice -- my number one pick at that price. You might be able to get a room at the Marriott at a little over $150 if you book ahead. I've never stayed at the Crowne Plaza or El Panama, but those are two other possibilities. If you're immune to street noise or can get a high floor, there's the Riande Continental, although I think the Veneto is nicer and a better buy, unless you can get a good deal on a suite at the Riande. The Bristol is the most luxurious in that area -- the suites come with butlers -- but it costs more than $150.
If you belong to the AAA try using that rate at the Veneto.
When I stayed there in Nov the rate was $89 plus tax per night
Howman. I enjoyed your report on PC, however, you also mentioned going to Boca but you did not mention anything about that part of your trip. Just wondering how that went as I journeyed there several years ago without much luck. The first or second night I was in Boca, a young guy came up to me at the Wreck Bar (or called something like that) and wanted to know if I was interested in a woman. Naturally, given the prospects in the bar, I said yes and he brought a young Columbian woman over who ultimately came to my hotel for $40. I think she was literally just off the boat and probably moved on to PC after that as I only saw her that one time.

i have been to pty twice in the past year. thanks to you fellow mongers, i gathered enough info to be in the know. back in july had me a serving of a colombiana that truly looked better in the darkness of the venetto. nonetheless she was a lot of fun. $ got me a few pops and a couple of hours. the next night went to the venetto, elite, etc. hit them all and even some that i haven't seen mentioned here. all i recall was that i saw it on the way to gt and stopped out of curiosity. the alcohol content in my blood was too high for me to have specific recollections of landmarks or names. ended up snatching up quite a succulent colombian from la bodeguita. $120 is as low as i got her to come down, well invested though.

the old bodeguita was moved, not closed down because they are going to construct a new building there on "uruguay". the new bodeguita, same bartenders, etc. seems to be a larger environment. i didn't actually go in to the old bodeguita but i did peek in the door and it looked way overcrowded and small. i did go in this new one and there was plenty of room.

I remember seeing a couple of jazz clubs in Casco Viejo, and one evening went out with a chica I'd sessioned with a couple nights earlier. We went to a restaurant called S'cena --- located right across the street from the old Union club --- and the lower floor of that place was a jazz club that was kickin' out some great tunes as we sat on the balcony above feasting like kings. The jazz club had a different name, but don't recall what it was....sounds like it could be the place you're looking for.
It was not Casco Viejo for certain. I had been there earlier in my trip and the club was near some more centrally located streets in PC.

ReefTried that move. They have another guy on the mez level all night. Tried some persuasion but he wouldn't budge. Although sad, the truth is that the word from the panamanians is that the colombanas try to drain more than sperm from ya. I didn't experience that with the 2 I had but was warned by business associates which are linked to law enforcement so they are pretty much in the know.

Was downtown last night and decided to have a drink at the Venato and check things out. Well, it was hopping last night (Sunday @ around midnight) and was just like old times. Lots of chicas all over the place and some very nice ones. I'm not needing to monger here as I have a couple of local non pro beauties taking care of my needs so nothing to report except that at least on some nights, the Venato is in fine form. YMMV, depending on what night and/or time though.

The non chica friendly status is about a month old. When I walked in the marriott with 2 separate putas in mid '09, I did as u specified, I registered them as we walked in. Last week, I walked in with a panameņa. This is a civilian/non pro/add description here. The security guys already know most of the putas to begin with. As I walked in and security questioned me, the 1st thing I stated was that I as gonna register her right now and the guy still refused. The next day I spoke with a Manager and she clearly explained that all guests need to be registered at check in, if not they won't allow the non regisered individual past the lobby. I tried presenting different scenarios to no avail. I have been a platinum with Marriott for 8 years and nothing I said or implied swayed that policy. She did accept for me to register the chick this one time but said that the policy will stand firm. There are other Marriott's with that policy, such as the domncan republic. The difference is, which is what I tried explanng to this manager is that the DR has you sign an acnowledgement to ths policy, therefore you are aware @ check in. The PTY marriott made no mention of it @ check in. Had they said something I gladly would have checked into one of the chca friendly properties mentioned in this thread as I knew that I was gonna hook up with this girl. Unless that policy has changed again in the past 7 days, I suggest we do not misinform fellow mongers, that would lead to a dissapointing evening for sure. I suppose the pro's already know about this policy by now.

"Bobisee," there are lots of hotels for US $25 per night in the downtown. The same street as los Arcos.
If you arrive via Tica Bus the vendors will compete for your hotel lodging.
If you arrive by place, pay US $20 to the downtown, and start knocking on doors. You'll come-up within 3-knocks.
The hoes do stay in these hotels too. And they may offer you some p*ssy in the lobby.
You can get non-pro p*ssy in Panama: Just go to the bus stops and the street. You'll be knee-deep in p*ssy by sunset.

First , read the classifieds of the major newspaper La Prensa and you will find furnished rooms with fan and access to kitchen, sometimes a small fridge in your room plus private bath for $350-400
Or , as was mentioned, the love motels will take you for 15-20 dollars a night in the part of town where the old Immigration building used to be; if you don't know , ask any taxi driver and he will direct you .

Since the pensiones are upscale enough for middle class couples who need a break from a crowded apartment, the executive who needs a discreet place to meet his mistress, or for young lovers who have roomates or relatives at home to pay $15 for two hours, I don't feel gouged paying $32 or $38 or even $44 for a whole night. The aircon is unlimited, the place is squeaky clean, the TV works and has three adult channels, no blackouts, plenty of hot water, etc. It is better than what you get at a Motel Six, and better run.
There are cheaper pensiones a mile or two away from the El Venetto, but at Los Arcos, you can walk five blocks to El Venetto/Habanos, etc. There is a large grocery store with a cafeteria and a bakery across the street (that services the hospital nearby) and withing a two block radius are three internet cafes with long distance hookup.
So why bring your computer to the most wired and reasonably cost internet city in LatAm? Leave your computer at home and buy an inexpensive cell phone when you get there. Cell phones and cell phone cards were so cheap, I started calling the USA with my cellphone, especially when the clerks at the store would clue me into when the cards were having 2-for-1, 3-for-1, and even 5-for-1 days (buy a $10 card, get $50 worth of calls). You can leave your phone with your favorite chica or take it with you so you have a phone when you return.
The Euro Hotel is also a choice, as it is on Via Veneto, has computers you can use in the lobby, an attached restaurant, and is across the street from a Chinese laundrymat and two grocery stores. I've stayed there and liked it. And you can make reservations for Euro Hotel on Expedia. Just make sure you can get a quiet room.

Marriott has NOT been guest friendly for about a month now. Appears there
was a problem with a client and chica. Some Marriott property was damaged

i will be travelling to panama starting on march 8th to 14th and meet with some europeen friends. i have a straight question. which of the following hotels are chica friendly, so chica can be brought in the room: el panama hotel, coral suites, sheraton, veneto, el meridien, others?
this is my second time in panama. four years ago, i had no problems bringing in chicas in el panama, i had a pool cabana at the time and enjoyed with them pool and my room.

I just got back from a long Valentine's Day weekend in PTY. Since I spent it with my Colombian girlfriend who's living in Panama I don't have any personal mongering stories to tell, but here are a few tidbits which some might find helpful:
I stayed at Hotel Veneto. Contrary to earlier reports it appears to be totally chica-friendly, or perhaps I should say it is not chica UNfriendly. My novia is a dark-skinned Colombiana and half my age, so it was clear to me how it looked me bringing her in. However, she never even had to register and while there are guards at the elevators we weren't once questioned or detained. If you try to enter the casino they do a body scan and ask some questions, since they have a prostitution "problem" in the casino. But we just bypassed that entry and went straight up from the lobby elevators. I can't see how anyone would have a problem bringing anyone up here.
There are, for those interested, quite a few hookers in and around the casino, average mid-twenties, good looking, cute. Sorry but I didn't get any quotes.
Overall the hotel is good and well-worth the $160 a night I paid for a junior suite. Service was great, which basically for me means that they left me alone and kept the towels fresh.
On a totally non-sexual note, I highly recommend going to the Gamboa National Park. We saw lots of animals and went on the cable ride swinging between the trees - It was a blast!
For late night food I recommend Manolos, right across the street from Veneto - Good food, fair service and a fun atmosphere. Also hooker-friendly.
I found a great taxista/tour guide, Javier. He'll pick you up or take you from/to the airport for US $25, and he does various tours. A good and trustworthy guy. PM me for contact info.

It's actually Soberania National Park, and Gamboa is the hotel and resort located in the park. And I agree - it's a lot of fun.

Just got back from Panama, a few notes so share from my trip:
1) Things - most, if not all - shut down during carnavales. This includes Habanos. Just an FYI.
2) Euro Hotel - Though others recommend it, I would *not* go there again ...
- gave a difficult time when bringing girls back, though eventually they allowed it
- the pool they show off on their web site is under construction, for how long who knows?
- not a great location actually pretty horrible and far away from anything of import as either a monger or a regular tourist.
- staff is unfriendly
I wish I had paid more and stayed someplace else. I'm just posting this as a heads-up for those heading to Panama and considering this as a place to stay. My advice is go elsewhere.

Habanos was packed with all types from 5 to high 9's, however the girls were starting off with ridiculous prices. One girl asked for 500 for the night, I said "what" and moved on. The going rate was starting at 125 but almost all went down to 80 especially near closing time.
The Venetto was hopping as well, chicas all over the casino. We also had a great time at oasis massage. 80 for about an hour and the chicas on that night were smoking hot. Took a stroll by the cotton club, not much happening there and didn't partake in the 20 dollar cover.
Had a great dinner at the Texas Restaurant around the corner from Habanos, great meal. Have a great time in Panama to all who venture there.
