Agree with your assessment. Last trip to Panama / Habanos in May, there were maybe three girls in the bar at 2 am on a Saturday night and no guys and they wanted $200 initially. Ah-Che and VIP La Bodequita (sp?) both dead on a weekend as well. Wasn't ready to make any counter but agreed we would all go back to the Veneto. There were about 30 girls there, still that late. Much easier to negotiate with Veneto girls, but hate that the bar is so small. Some Veneto girl always willing to go for $80. I still prefer the venues in CR for a better selection and personalities of the girls. The Blue Marlin girls with sit and drink with you all night, better potential for a TLN.Unless there was just recently a raid, you may have gone to Ashe too early. They don't get really going till after 1am at the earliest, likely even later on a weekend night because the girls may go to regular clubs to party with friends before "work". If you hit it right it should be packed to the rafters with extremely hot girls- much hotter than the current selection at the Veneto.

While I'm just a visitor, not a Panamanian resident, Tbuss is right. I've gone with some freelancers without discussing price, in which case I may leave $100, or less a few years ago. I've told some that I'd pay the $150, but she has to provide excellent service and extra time. And I don't pay up front. That has worked out well. And getting them down to $100 hasn't been a problem, which is what I'll pay if I want to just spend 30 minutes or an hour with her and crash. When I'm mongering, I usually stay at the Veneto, so that might be a plus in the girl's mind, if I'm pulling a really attractive one from the hotel casino for short time. That likely makes her feel more secure. And she knows she can pocket $100 and be back to hook another one before long.
The Oasis functions like a massage palour and they have a lunchtime or daytime special rate. They do not have strippers but you can order a drink. Is it more popular at night?
Is Elite the same place as Elite II or are these separate locations or businesses?
This is the area around El Dorado mall, which is 2. 4 km away from Hotel El Panama. You can get there from El Cangrejo by taxi for how much? I assume just a couple dollars, and I also notice there is a mass transit system that has a stop at El Dorado. It looks like the closest place to jump on the metro from the Veneto would be the Parada de la Nacional (Tumba Muetro).

But the only thing that I like about Panama is veneto, you can gamble chill out by the bar and have plenty of options with women. In Colombia, I don't think there is anything like Veneto, just a lot of casas you need to go to. Unless I am mistaken. The beauty about Panama is you don't even have to leave your hotel.There is no place like Veneto nor GT for that matter in Colombia. Actually I'm referring to Medellin. In Cartagena there is LDV which is a busy freelance spot. Medellin has none of this BUT you can't beat casas for $15-$100 and TLN for $50-$120 in Medellin.
I'm only going to Panama for my first time because the flights to Colombia are whack now! The best flight is Copa and it flies through PTY so figured I might as will drop in for a couple of days and check it out on my way to Colombia. You also can't beat wall to wall beauties that I hear about at GT or Elite. I'm hoping my Medellin experience will get some of the chicas nostalgic and give me better rates. LOL.

So it did not matter. I don't know what others think, but massage places like these are monger101 for me which I have gotten over a long time ago, clock watching, tiny bed, avg shower etc. Plus the service from the flacca Colombina I picked was much below average even by Panama standards (comapred to Veneto or Habanos). She was not mean but clearly mechanical as any other masagista. Honestly I picked her just because I was there and I took all the effort to get to the place. 80% of me was ready to leave. I was there and had to try it.

Panama Visitors Guide no longer recommends the Hotel Milan Panama as a place to stay when visiting Panama City, Republic of Panama. There are many other Hotels that treat guests with better service. Also Hotel Milan Panama is known to not allow you to bring guests up to your room and to discriminate against certain kinds of people including gays.The above article appears to be recent. Anyone with first hand experience on the Milan?

Finally found it and these two taxi drivers waiting outside put the red sticker on me to which I took off and gave the girl behind the counter explaining I won't be paying extra tonight. Anyways small lineup of 1 but the few chics around looked very good. Will be heading back tonight to check it out a bit earlier to get a full lineup.
Today I grabbed a taxi driver who tried to get me to go to goldfingers. Told him no find me something else. Went on a casa tour. First place quoted $95 / I laughedi and left. La Gloria was closed but gruto azul was opened. $17 for a quickie. Nothing to write home about but did the job. If had more time iwould return@night but tonight is GT, venetos, and back home on calle Uruguay. Anyone around PM me. Wouldn't mind someone to compare notes.

My work is never finished. Always some new land to plunder. Though I must say I didn't do anything so impressive, at least I was able to get a taste of the scene. I even decided to cut my trip to Rio a bit short so that I could spend a handful of days in Panama. I go to Brazil often so a couple of days less there is no big deal.
Panama City is definitely the nicest Central American capital I have yet to visit. Far better than Guate City, Tegucigalpa or San Salvador. Decent looking chicks around the city also. Especially in the area of Vía Veneto. The first place I checked out was Oasis Massage. Got there around 2PM and was surprised by how small and rundown the place looked. There were 4 average looking gals lounging on the decrepit couches. I was tempted to turn and leave but when they stood up to present themselves I noticed that one of them was on the thin side and had an "exotic" look to her. So I figured "What the hell, might as well try her out". Paid the $85 and she took me to a private room. She called herself Jackie and said she was a Panameña / Chinese mix; which I guesss explained her features: light-skinned, thin, bubble-butt, etc. She spoke English pretty well which helped because my Spanish isn't as good as my Portuguese. Had a pretty round with her. She massaged me. I massaged her. She pulled out a special condom (ringed for her pleasure). All in all not a bad time. After showering and heading she stopped and asked me for a tip. I didn't know if this was the norm or not but I figure "why not" and slipped her $100. They had at least 14 dames and all of them were pretty damn hot. I was so busy gawking at the beauties that I kept forgetting to note what number the ladies were wearing. Thus, when it came time to choose I had trouble remembering the women I wanted. A second showing with my top picks helped me to settle on a Colombian hottie named Valentina. She's actually a little "thick" for my tastes but she had all the right curves in the right places. Had a good time with her. Said she was from Medillín. Nada Ingles. No problema. She wanted a propina. $100. 'Nuff said. I returned the following Saturday and the line-up wasn't as good. Overall, Panama City isn't so bad. It obviously can't compare to Rio, Buenos Aires, or Medillín but definitely a worthwhile stop if I have a chance to stop off in Central America in the future.

Golden Time, Veneto and Habanos are wide open and currently have some really great selection. If a taxi driver tells you different, just tell him you were there last night."Yo estaba allí la noche anterior, ir ahora". Also as stated earlier, if you want to save $15-$20 don't have the taxista take you right to Golden Time (or Club Miami) as you will get hit with a big surcharge. Just tell them Casino Fantastico in El Dorado- then walk there.

I can stay in the airport or check into a hotel downtown. My question is about taxis running on December 24 and 25. Do they run or what I be stranded?

Great spot for dancing. I would also recommend Zona Viva, its an area with lots of bars and clubs as well in an old american army base. Lots of locals there, Friday and Saturday nights are the best night.

O boy. Sorry to hear this. Lessons to learn here.
1.Dont judge the book by its cover. I know this is difficult as sometimes you get carried away.
2. Never pay first, or just pay partial initially. Again this is difficult with demanding chicas, been there so many times.
3. Condom breaking is not your fault. Learn to explain that in local lingo and promptly slip on another one and begin.
4. Do not hesitate to threaten. This is where not paying up helps. Pick up the phone like your going to call the front desk. At hotels like Veneto I am pretty sure guests have the upper hand. You can throw her out without paying anymore. I am sure you can come up with an explanation if asked like she is crazy or you already paid her or she tried to steal and even get her a blacklisted (wishful thinking).
Well, I haven't been too successful with the above myself, but trying to get there, and definitely getting better.

Grant it, you can get a decent girl out of most places for $80, but they're all clock watchers. I too have moved on and taken PC off my list of hobby destinations.

I did a extended in PTY Colombus Day weekend. I was primarily involved in non-hobby activities because I'm considering PTY is a potential relocation option. As far a chica action, I still that the city has some very good, but put more costly options. I'm a Colombia and DR regular so obviously the price structure is different, but I have found that with good Spanish and a little game you can get a GFE / PSE experience at a price still lower than US or Euro costs. After landing and checking into my apartment rental me and my buddy headed out to the Veneto just to check out the action on Friday night. It was early and pretty slow, but the colombianas were in full force. A chatted with a few, but I figured I could get the same chicas at a lower price if I waited few hours. All the visual stimulation had us riled up so we walked down the block to check out Oasis. No luck they were closed. I also noticed that Moulin Rouge and the other SC in the strip center had police crime tape across their doors. I figured they were recently hit for a failure to pay appropriate bribe. No problem. We just walked around the block and caught a cab up to Golden Times. Well as far as the cabbie knew we were going to the Fantastico Casino. LOL. GT had a pretty good line up for 12AM. Their were at least 15 chicas working. As always, all colombianitas. I picked a chaparrita with a nice trasero from Pereira and my buddy took a caleña. Being Colombia veterans we got an excellent vibe from them since we knew so much about Colombia. I've always had luck with the chicas from Pereira and I usually end up picking them for some reason. Went with an open mind as I was with my buddy who can have fun anywhere any time. I will make a long story short if I can. Veneto had plenty of girls. Went to La Palace just to look. No cover $9. 50 each per beer. Hot girls same $300 for 45 min. We passed.
A che seemed a little slow. Had about 20 girls or so on each Fri and Sat night.
We spent most of our time at Habanos. The most talent was there. About 50-75 girls. Mostly 6's but there were a couple of 8's and some 9's. The problem is that Panama has changed as I have said before. It is all about money and time. As in more money and less time. Every transaction seems to require a business negotiation and then a contract signing. Every name a girl gives you is a Stage name. It gets tiring. They must all go to the same school now that teaches them the art of Negotioations. It is so impersonal. A little bargaining okay but not to the level it is now. It is almost Vegas like.

Yeah, There will be nothing open then. Now is the best time to go. Between now and the end of November as all the Colombianas are there trying to make money before Christmas time. There will be plenty of clock watchers and mechanical sex to be had by all for the next month.
Once the beggining of December comes the vast majority go back to Colombia and really don't come back to Panama untill the middle to end of January. Sometimes even later than that. There are still a few stragglers but not much.

I emailed the hotel milian and torres de alba, and not replies after three days. There look like the best alternatives to the Veneto, but I am getting mixed signals on the Internet.

Thanks.I have stayed at Hotel Milan several times. Very clean and comfortable, much quieter than Vegas Suites. Normally I call first, then they respond via email to confirm.
Very clean, very nice, and private. As of last year, they allowed guests up to room but you must come downstairs and meet them, that's it. Also, when you leave the key stays with them. They now have Wi-fi, and if you pay cash they offer a discount.

Habanos, Veneto- also after midnight A' Che and La Bodeguita. (a lot of the Habanos girls go there after 12)
Cabs in between these places should be $3-$4 each way no more unless you get into a Private Honda or something.
Not sure when your going but, if you have a choice go after Mid January as the girls will steadily start leaving to go back to Colombia for the Holidays from the Begining of Dec until a week or so after new years Enjoy.
The word from Panama is that all the clubs such as Le Palace and Elite are now open much earlier like at 7pm.
The new laws define closing time for all bars and clubs at 2am. This does not apply to casinos. It seems logical to assume that after 2am the best places to get the chicas from all the establishments would be the casinos with much bargains to be had for all.
Finding liquor to take to your room after closing hours should not be a problem because liquor shops which you can find in any Rey Supermarket some of which open 24 hrs.
While much has been said about Veneto it seems the best place to stay because it is the most chica friendly casino so far lets hope that does not change also its going to be ground zero for all chicas from Habanos and all the other clubs. Have a great safe vacation look forward to the reports.

The Mayor of Panama City in a press release reported the closing of "My Bodeguita" and the sanctioning of twelve nightclubs for failing to comply with Decrees Number 1896 and 1899, which established the "Carrot Law." This came after raids conducted this weekend. The press release said during these operations 39 people were arrested for disrespect to the authorities. Some people were arrested because they were illegal immigrants, and others who are involved in prostitution without an updated health card or permit. They were turned over to the "competent authorities."
Municipal authorities during a Preventive Security operation visited neighborhoods in the areas of Calidonia, Santa Ana. 24 de Diciembre, Juan Diaz, San Francisco (Calle Uruguay) , where several bars and nightclubs were fined for violating the decree governing limits on the sound levels (decibels) in nightclubs. The action was led by Justice of the Peace on shift, Luis Morales and the coordinator of the Justices of the Peace, Reynaldo Morales, personal from the office of Municipal Surveillance, as well as from the Law and Justice office, among other officials. The coordinator of the Justices of the Peace Reynaldo Morales said operations will continue in the 21 different sectors of the capital city in order to reduce the high rate of delinquencies that occur daily in our country. Also, as far as us tourists are concerned who in the hell wants to go there for vacation not drink when we want and then the clubs we are at be raided and possibley taken to jail for. Did I read that right " Disrespect to authorities". Come on.
I was detained once for 8 hours because I didn't have my passport on me when they raided Habanos, and the girl I was with spent 5 days in Jail while they sorted everything from the raid out.
They usually do these raids or pass these laws make a big deal about it in the beggining and then things lighten up but they are become more frequent and harsher each time.

DONE with it there.As far as I know the people that were arrested weren't arrested merely for being in the place after it was supposed to be closed, they gave the police a hard time about having to leave. There hasn't been a chica raid since June to my knowledge and the places are overflowing with them. I live here so it's a little different and I can see where someone who is a tourist and has a choice of where to go may want to avoid PTY with this latest development. I have however found the new closing time to be an aid in negotiating TLN deals. I think there is a fair chance they may rescind this law down the line, they've passed quite a few things here without thinking them through and then put it back to normal later.
As for the passport checking hassle, I'm of a mixed mind, I got stuck once too for a few hours. It is pretty much common knowledge that you have to have your passport or accepted copy with you at all time, and the checkpoints and I'd checks keeps a fair amount of Colombian and foreign criminals away from Panama where they get hassled.

I say political implications, because there was an alliance between the wining parties on the past election, and the president practically fired his vice president from the foreign affairs ministry, but he couldn't fire him as vicepresident because he was publicly elected and not designated by him. The vice president is from the Panamenista Party, as the mayor, so now the Winter Fortress for the Panamenista Party is the Mayor's office
So Since Habanos, A Che and Bodeguita all derive most of there profits from Alcohol do they all have to close at 3am.
Looks like the Veneto will be packed at 3am now.
Somehow down the road the laws will become more relaxed but my overall feeling is the next step is more raids and Veneto may be pressured also to stop allowing girls in. It happened for about 6 months a couple years ago. Chicas were banned.

I am very curious to see how Veneto will shape up with this law. Is there anyone currently at the veneto now? I would expect more raids. Snipps good point. Why would Veneto Allow the girls into the casino bar after 3am when the casino bar will be closed anyway. They are not going to allow them to wonder about without buying drinks or getting the guys in there to buy drinks. Someone will come up with a loop hole and will open something up somehow. Maybe Veneto will turn a conference room into a private room which can be rented out for $1. 00 and they will put a bar in there and allow chicas and hotel guests. According to the law you can drink in your rented hotel room and buy liquor from room service 24-7. Anyway, the law sucks. Panama is depressing. However. VenetoAbout Vegas Suites. I was in Panama City in late September with a buddy. Online they say their rates is $80 / night. We tried asking about the corporate rates that people here mentioned here. No corporate rates. I ended up staying at Torres Blanca for $60-65 / night. My buddy was staying a week so when he got there, he asked them for cheaper rates. They agreed to $60 / night! The first couple of nights when he brought chicas back, they would charge him $20. After a couple of nights, he got fed up with this and complained to the manager. They tell him he could register as 2 and pay $65 / night for the room (how does that make any sense?) and no guest fees.
As far as I know the people that were arrested weren't arrested merely for being in the place after it was supposed to be closed, they gave the police a hard time about having to leave. There hasn't been a chica raid since June to my knowledge and the places are overflowing with them. I live here so it's a little different and I can see where someone who is a tourist and has a choice of where to go may want to avoid PTY with this latest development. I have however found the new closing time to be an aid in negotiating TLN deals. I think there is a fair chance they may rescind this law down the line, they've passed quite a few things here without thinking them through and then put it back to normal later.
As for the passport checking hassle, I'm of a mixed mind, I got stuck once too for a few hours. It is pretty much common knowledge that you have to have your passport or accepted copy with you at all time, and the checkpoints and I'd checks keeps a fair amount of Colombian and foreign criminals away from Panama where they get hassled.As for raids, I think there was another one in late September while I was there. Bocatorena is very dark, lots of chicas, and rooms in back are pretty grotty, floors wet smell of bleach. You don't want to step on them with bare feet. Chicas mostly Colombian, some decent, some frightening. Hooked up with one spinner, Colombian from Medellin, looked like the Spanish attorney from Law and Order. GORGEOUS, but nobody was paying her attention because she was covered up in jeans, boots, and a chunky white sweater. She had big, natural tits, though wanted extra for me to see them. I should have taken her number, especially since she was only going to be in PC for another month. La Major charges $3 cover and is much brighter, meaning you can see the chicas. All Colombian as far as I could tell, a couple of lookers. Both places are $15 for 15 minutes. La Major is much cleaner than Bocatorena.

I stayed at Veneto in November. When I walked past the Hotel Milan, I noticed that an addition is being built. Work starts early and if you expect to sleep after 7am you might look elsewhere.
I have stayed at Milan in the past and I needed to register as Mr. And Mrs.
They didn't seem to mind that there was a different Mrs. Every twelve hours or so.

That's pretty funny. I don't want to take the chance on that though. I was also checking into the Veneto and all the websites that I saw were quoting $135. 00 a night for the cheapest room rate. I called them and asked the girl on the phone what their cheapest room rate was and she said $89. 00 for a double plus 11% tax which would be right around $100. 00 a night. Not sure what kind of rates you all are getting but it' seems that at this hotel, if you call, they will give you a better rate. The dates I asked about were February 9th through the 12th.Most any country will give you non tourist rates if you call a property. It's hit and miss. I always call and usually get a better rate, specially if they feel that I am a local.

I visited Panama City last week.
For the ones who are too lazy to read all forum pages:
Hotels: Vegas Suites ($80) or Veneto ($100). No problem to bring guests along.
Bars to meet girls:
Habanos (on the other side of the Marriott Hotel). A must see in town. Good place / terrace to have a drink in the evening, watch and talk to the girls.
Achee (Calle Uruguay). Disco & Bar. I liked it most as you can drink and dance with the girls, but go there after midnight.
Veneto Bar in the Veneto Casino. Interesting concept of gambling and girls looking for clients. The bar area is a little bit small.
I always paid $100 for my adventures, Spanish is necessary.

Here's the back story: I've been to Panama twice in the last year or so, and spent a lot of time playing, from the 'high end' at places like Habanos to the "lows" of Casco Viejo. (thank you ISG and Jackson!) On the last visit, one of my favorites turned out to be a 40+ year old MILF out of, all places, La Boca Torena. Now I know what you're thinking, a seedy dive-bar like that? But I swear to God this woman could pass for 28 with a great body and complexion to match. Times are desperate in Columbia.

Habanos last call is 2AM, everything is closed by 2:30am during the week.
There seems to be less chicas everywhere since my last visit in November 2011.
Yesterday at noon there were about ten chicas in the Casino Veneto in the bar area eating that crappy $5. 99 lunch buffet and waiting for customers, so things are starting earlier.
I was told by several of the girls that very few new ones have been coming in from Columbia since the closing times have changed.
Clearly if you are one of those guys that likes to stay out drinking until 6am, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I confronted her about both pictures and she admitted that they are not her but she picked them because they resemble her. There is a good shot it will shortly be 24 hrs again for hotel and casinos as the Mayor who instigated the change in laws to those venues was recently replaced. The other law that closes bars and nightclubs early is a little more politically complicated and may stay around longer.
Actually if the over turn the part of the law that effects Hotels and Casinos and they allow 24 hour drinking again that may be a blessing in disguise as it will concentrate every available chica in Panama at the Veneto Bar. Every girl after closing at A che and Habanos would all flock to Veneto.
Although it is strange a lot of chicas who hang out at Habanos won't go to Veneto and vice versa. Its almost like they have territories.

When I asked where they might go and congregate after that, one mesero just said, 'la casa! '. Bad news for those of us who like to prowl late into the nite.
I did hear La Boca Torena in Casco Viejo now opens at noon and stays open until the new 'witching hour.' No longer the 24 hours a day joint it was once so renowned for. I personally would not recommend any late nite forays here unless you ride with your posse or have twisted blue steel for cajones. During the day is OK, however.
I did have a try at a new place (for me) called El Capri on Rio Abajo. $41 for 15 min, and the place is much cleaner and newer than Gruta Azul or La Gloria with more and younger chicas. Don't believe I've seen it reviewed here, at least recently, and it's worth a try for the more economically minded monger. BTW, don't think the new law is causing prices to drop. If anything, it's now more of a seller's market than anything, or at least the ladies see it that way. I was quoted some really ridiculous prices everywhere and there was damn little room for negotiation.

I must first admit that my recent trip was only the 2nd time I'd really had the time to prowl the casino, the first time being back in May of 2011. Most of my high-end mongering has been restricted to Habanos up to this point. And that bar, by the way, was a bit of of a disappointment this last time around. Selection was down, as was the quality in my opinion. One obvious Cold Fish stunner actually accused me of being a police officer, and 'warned' another chica to avoid me. I speak Spanish, but definitely with an English accent, and being blonde and over 6' tall, I don't think I'd 'pass' as one of Panama City's finest. Weird.
Back to el Veneto. Let me describe a bit in detail what I saw, and you casino fans with more experience can tell us what you think. First, there were never less than 50 or so chicas around, some times more. Many were 8's on my scale, with a handful of 9's and better every night. Very few of the customers I saw looked to be hard-core gambling. Lots of punters drinking and talking up the ladies. (BTW, would the obvious American monger I saw wearing a cammo t-shirt and Bermuda shorts please take a look in the mirror. LOL. Sandals and knee length black socks as well. Really?). The Latin salsa band was hot every night and I saw many 'couples' dancing and having a good time. I was also concerned about the impact of the new 'Carrot Law' with an enforced closing time of 2 AM. The number of chicas definitely thinned at that hour, but I did notice quite a few still hanging around at 3 AM.
I certainly found enough action to keep me more than amply entertained, but I will have to defer to the Veneto experts here on the forum with more experience than myself.

Veneto much classier location, nice fun casino, less packed in, than Del Rey but PC action more spread out and less daytime action although it is there. PC may be little pricier but it is what you make it. PC definitely has more to offer than San Jose. Real cosmopolitan city worth checking out. Panama ecotourism less developed than CR but really good if you are adventurous.
Two trips to PC this month with Bocas in the middle. Veneto very good but a little more commercial, hardcore than before. My cell phone stolen first day. Did well staying up late. Habanos not so impressive. Second trip was Sunday during Carnivale, a little slow. Ended up with a 7, Angie, for 80, but performance was a 9. 5. Stuck with her the rest of the stay.
Donation starts at 150 quickly go to 120, 100 with no counter, Usually stay at 100. Girls ignore you if you won't take 100 but I'm sure that would change if you came back. I missed out on 70 my first stay that I regretted.
As previously noted Las Vegas Suites now has $25 chica fee (and painfully slow sullen payment). Tower House Suites, $65 February special, worked out well on second go round. Good value, (great views of AChe, Hooters on one side, Veneto on the other side of my big suite) , nice pool, generous breakfast. No I'd on entry. Nice people. Just don't screw it up for the rest of us.

The Veneto is a casino / hotel where hookers hang out. As far as accommodations go, the Veneto is nicer and it costs more. It used to be a lot nicer but has run down significantly in recent years. They don't charge $10 every time you take a girl to the room like the Del Rey.
You can find women any hour of the day or night and the selection is much larger at the Del Rey. The Veneto is only an option during the evening, and it sucks during the early part of the evening. Women at both establishments are mercenary but IMO a little less mercenary on average at the Veneto. During peak hours I would generally run into 2 or 3 women in the Del Rey that were really hot. That's not necessarily the case at the Veneto. In terms of looks, I'd rate the selection at the Veneto somewhare between Key Largo and the Del Rey. There have been times when I wouldn't run into anyone at the Veneto I wanted to pull.
If your primary consideration in where you're going is getting laid, you're better off in San Jose. And for that matter if you like nature, mountains, and comfortable weather Costa Rica is better. If you like big cities go to Panama. Panama City is preferable for the non-pro nightlife, although I don't know if that's still the case with the earlier closing times.

Just returned from Panama City yesterday and did my usual stay at the Veneto. I have been going to PTY for over 5 years now and usually at least every other month and I must say that the talent at the Veneto is quite good. There really is quite a variety / selection of girls there. Like some posts say"the girls are mechanical" or "the price has gone up" and so on and so on. I believe if you ask the right questions and simply tell the talent what you expect then alot of guys can have a better time. I recently visited PTY [again] and spent quite a bit of time playing blackjack at the casinos [again]. Luck was pretty good and I wound up winning just over $900 at the Veneto. Had a great time. However, upon returning home & putting some of the money in the bank, two of the $100 bills were counterfeit. Bottom line: I'm 100% positive that's where I got them. Period. Absolutely no doubt. The counterfeits were buried in the middle of the stack; they spread them out then when you pick them up you naturally stack them again. They did look very good but I never really touched them since they were buried in the stack.
FYI only; first time I've ever been scammed by a casino like that. Lost all respect for the Veneto.

/dddickWow. They usually don't deal with 100's. When I cashed out, even though it was quite a few 100's, they gave me all 20$ bills and I had to wait a while for this process. Some of the bills they gave me were taped up, etc. They do check the 100's when people buy in but I am not sure how good their bill checker's are. I have also heard they remove some 10's from their BJ decks. I suggest you don't try to use those bills at the tables next time you are there. LOL. You can mention and try to get a refund / exchange.

You'll definitely want to try Habano's. Le Palace is worth a look if you like high end strip clubs. Also Elite, which is just off the southwest corner of the map, where Calle Uruguay dead ends into the main east / west highway. I like Elite better than LePalace. These are all evening places. Go after 9:00 PM. There are sometimes hookers eating at Manolo's restaurant, in the afternoon and evening, across the street from Veneto's.

I don't know whether some of these questions are serious or not. Whether you're going to enjoy mongering in a place where you don't speak the native language depends mostly on you. Do you want to get into a serious intellectual conversation with your date or do you just want to bang her? If you prefer the first your options will be limited, but not nonexistent. I would take a taxi to the Veneto. If you're arriving at the airport at 2:30 PM you probably won't get to the hotel until around 4:00 PM. You could request an early check in but you won't need it. If you do arrive at a hotel before they have a clean room, you have two options. Leave the luggage with the hotel and go do something or hang around until the room is ready. I always leave the luggage although once, in Athens, it was stolen.

I am going to be traveling to Panama City, Panama next month for 4 days. I will be arriving Panama City around 2:30pm. Will I be able to check into my hotel room at Veneto Casino at that time. I see that their check inn time is 4:00pm.

If the hotel will pick you up, take that. However, I would always take a cab from the airport to the hotel and not mess with buses or shuttles. A good cabbie will take the expressway and not the surface streets and get you to the hotel in 15 minutes when there is no traffic, or 30 minutes during rush hour. You can go upstairs and jump into a cab that has just dropped off passengers (when the cops are not with 20 feet or not looking) and negotiate $20-25, or just get a cab downstairs with the rest of the lemmings coming out of customs and pay $25-30. Make sure he takes the expressway, even though it costs him $2 toll. If he does, then he values his time and yours, is honest, and should become "your" cabbie for the trip back to the airport or any other long (more than $5 trips).
Veneto is a four star hotel with pretensions of being a five star hotel. If they secure your luggage, your luggage is secure. I doubt they will not have a room available for you if you arrive at 4pm, as they have a first rate maid staff. (unless a convention is leaving town, but I doubt it.) If they secure your luggage, but you don't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood with your passport, cash, laptop. Stay in the hotel. Have lunch in the restaurant in the lobby (I recommend the native "sancocho" or chicken / beef stew, which will rehydrate and refresh you after your flight) or the mini sushi bar in the lobby, or have you meal in the casino and people watch. Or, have the staff bring up to you while you chill out sitting by the pool on the 7th floor roof.
The immediate neighborhood is very safe, providing you keep your wits about you, so feel free to go across the street, find one of the Chinese owned cellphone stores, and get a $12. 99 phone with some minutes. They are great for making local calls, and will be much cheaper than using the hotel to make your calls back to the states.
You can have lunch in the Manolo's restaurant acroos the street or in the food court on the same block as the hotel (they even have Subway!) and next to that is next to a pharmacy. Pick up you vitamin C or V (however, I recommend the other pharmacy that is block and a half away from the hotel, Arrocha, as there prices are less touristy and high.)
There are inexpensive cybe cafes across the street from the Veneto that also do long distance phone calls very cheap.
Down the hill from the Veneto is a McDonalds, but if you go down the hill, and turn left instead of towards the McDonalds, you will see a walkway that crosses over that big Spain Street (Calle Espana) and during the day, there is a shoe shine guy who will spit shine your shoes for just $1-2.
Go to the little mom-and-pop mini-grocery stores and stock up on juices, beers, and other refreshments for you room refrigerator. You do NOT want to pay big hotel prices for a candy bar from the mini-bar, so insist they empty out the fridge before you check in or shortly thereafter.

The time I went on a Sunday the pickings were pretty poor, and I seem to recall a couple of women at GT telling me Sunday is the night they take off. Elite and Miami are open. The casino at Veneto would be a good option. Habano's used to be closed on Sundays although I seem to recall someone here saying it's open now. Finally, Oasis should be open, but like GT the selection may not be the best.
If you like freelancers check out the Veneto and Habano's. They're only a few blocks away from each other. If you'd rather do the deed on site, then have a beer or two in Miami, then go to GT. (It's easy to avoid the dreaded taxi surcharge if you get the taxi driver to drop you at Nikko's by Miami. The amount of mongers were double the amount of women, so the chicas were getting their way. Asking 200-150 at minimum for an hour. I never paid that much because I speak spanish, if you don't speak spanish they will take advantage of you. These guys are all willing to pay so this is why prices have gone up substantially also because they have no clue. I was with 3 women in a 4 night stay. 1 being a repeat. That's how bad the veneto has gotten. I even saw about 5 chicas from my last years trip! I'm picky and I tend to stay with 8-9 tops. 80% of the women were a 5-6 at most each night. Word has gotten out so the amount of gringos have doubled since I have been coming down. Each night I decided to also check out habanos and ache. Habonos was dead each night. More men than women. Asche was real shady with a lot of locals hanging outside looking around. Not a comfortable place to hang out, its an open bar. Again mostly men than women. Bodaguita was closed due to a recent shooting that occurred few weeks back. Asche is the old bodaguita 2. Same exact location, so they basically just changed the name. At that time they were still women hanging around, but those were the ugly ones and basically the women that have been walking the casino for the past 3-4 hours. I went to check out asche and habonos at that time as well and it was dead. You need to go at about 8pm, thats when you have more of a variety. Played alot at veneto in 2009 but rules were not enforced as buddies passing money from thier stack to on another, specificailly the asians and the 2 greeks did what they wanted whenever looking at peoples cards in the dead hand pile. Dealers and management never did anything about. Makes for a shit game. Or did cleanup thier act. Still 5-5 game or do they now have 1-2.

Thanks for the input about Panama city guys, I liked it there before. No big hurry to return, used to go to San Jose and venture out to Panama. Lived there 8 months. In my rookie days with limited Spanish I have pulled decent chicks out of the veneto for 40-50$ for the rest of the nite, pretty proud of that. I'm very fussy. Also from the bocas terrana, you just need to have a lot of time to find a good one. Which I have, I usually go for 2-3 months. Will agree San Jose is good bang for your buck, new Fantasy and Zona Blue, now little Habana were very good 5 years ago, but I like going to the 25$ an hour places that I call" down the hill" from the Del Rey. I've had a couple dealers and waitresses from blue marlin and delrey, but sure had to do my ground work first. Tennis at Parque Sabana, Jazz Cafe, Castro's Discotheque. Like 1 post mentioned would love to go back for old times sake, but out of nicaragua (I like fenix there, had the 2 best young ones there for 50 tln, alternate between the 2) Costa Rica.
And Panama I would only revisit San Jose, just a little too far from my beach place Manuel Antonio.
My new destination is now Habana Cuba, I love it, spent 4. 5 months last year and will spend another 4 this year with a side trip to Lima. Just for all you guys out there that don't have alot of money to spend trips, to Latin American countries and casas de putas doesn't have to costs thousands of dollars, I used to go to above mentioned places party all nite, gamble, tanned bitches for about 5000 a month. Go crazy in the city for a week then chill at a beach place for a week or so and do it all over again. All you need is a phrase book and learn as you go, and be polite to the right ones and tell the others f-k off politely.
Someone mentioned about knowing Spanish and doesn't need to go to casas anymore, that's where I'm at, but still like to go.
Good luck and for people who want to go to Latin countries and are hesitant, do it, go make mistakes, then laugh about it, and try not to make the same ones. Was funny, forgot to mention I'm now 51 year balding but in pretty good shape, started touring 12 years ago 4 months a year with no Spanish.

Short report on yesterday action.
Ashe was CLOSED, nearly all of avenida Uruguay was dark.
Habanos was deserted around 22:00 hrs, saw 3 girls.
Veneto had no crap table open. Only one roulette and at some point while the band was playing around 22:30 only one black jack.
A few girls but the ratio m / f was overwhelmingly against the males. To make matters worst two things happened around 23:15.
Must have been a plane load of mongers that descended on the Veneto. I would venture to say that around 40 to 50 guys showed up en masse and livened-up the place a bit.

OTThere are several push button motels on Transistmica where it it crosses Tumba Muerto (Ricardo J. Alfaro). This is between the airport and downtown, maybe about half way, if you're taking the slower northern route. I don't know if they will supply ladies. You could go to Golden Time, which is on Ricardo J. Alfaro, around 4 miles towards downtown from the love motels, and bring one back. Damage would be around $140 for an hour and a half.
You're probably going to get lost if you're driving, regardless of whether you do as I suggest above or stay downtown in Cangrejo. If you're pressed for time and would like to avoid day time traffic, then you might want to forget about the hookers, take Corredor Sur (the southern route with the toll road). After you're maybe about 30 miles west of the city you'll see a well-marked love motel on your left where you can crash. I've done that before, but didn't think to ask if they had women. Or if you're exhausted, there's a hotel just outside the airport- the Riande Aeropuerto.

I have also used that trick. It is one of the best kept secrets of Panama.
When my flight arrives after midnight the most direct route to sleep is a push button near the airport.
The total noches price is around $12 and it is an excellent nap before the long drive out of town.
I learned the trick after getting a flat tire on the way into the city to catch a flight. After changing the tire, I was dirty, sweaty and in no shape to catch a flight. In short, I needed a place to clean up so I checked into a push button somewhere north of PC. While checking in I noticed the "total noches $12" sign and it hit me. I could catch a few hours sleep after arriving in the middle of the night.
Having said that, a good night adjustment wouldn't be all bad.

OT, This should go in the Monger Great Ideas Hall of Fame. I've spent some sleepless nights in rooms along the Panamerican Highway and in Cangrejo because of lousy air conditioning or too much street noise. Looking back, I probably would have gotten a better night's sleep in a notel. I guess for the budget monger the price is an added bonus. And there's no walk of shame! Management never even sees your date, so if you're into fatties or grannies or whatever the world will never know. Contrast with my experience at a cheap hotel on Espana in Panama City, when I brought two hookers back to the hotel, one of whom know the bellman. The bellman thought it would be funny to walk in our room and rapidly flip the light switch on and off while laughing like a crazy person, while his colleague looked on from outside.

You'll find the girl action at the Hotel Del Rey much better and easier to find a girl with a personality. Casino is not the best, but there's the Horseshoe and Intercontinental Casino nearby.You are probably correct, however I think all the negativity recently surrounding Panama City is misplaced. Sure there are better places such as DR and CR but there arent many places in the world, US and UK included, where you can stay at a hotel with a casino and have hookers basically in the lobby. And if that isn't enough theres Habanos round the corner or the clubs like Elite. Obviously for budget mongerers its more expensive than Colombia etc but I live in Bogota, theres nowhere like the Veneto or Habanos. So for me it was cool. And I scored well for $80 in the Veneto, maybe not 10s but then getting a hot 10 doesn't always mean a good service, I found that out in London.

There about 20 hookers just in the bar area. I counted about 60 last visit, and you should be able to find one girl among 60, if not go to Habanos. They come and go all the time so the numbers are constantly changing.
I've been to places that suck, I wouldn't say Veneto is one of them.

I also have FR's covering current visits to Veneto's within the last couple of months, but continue to read derogatory comments from a handful of fellow punters about this venue in particular, and PTY in general, with growing puzzlement.
I'm not one to indulge in any flame wars on the internet, and certainly not about to change my ways for this site. I will also admit my mongering in PTY is fairly limited to only 3 trips to this city in the last 18 months or so. But Christ, Fellas, I don't believe ANYONE is claiming it's the next Macau, Pattaya, or even Manila. And I think it's been fairly well established by now there are several Latin countries where mongering can arguably be better (Perhaps CR, DR, Brazil, Columbia-Secret Service Issues not with standing, and probably up-and-coming is Lima) But many of us must travel to PTY for work and this can be a very nice and interesting place to easily find some diversion with our hobby. Perhaps Veneto, Habanos or PTY in general no longer live up to the epic accounts of years ago remembered by a handful of more experienced Panama mongering pros. But for some of us, the constant, almost bitter put-downs just seem a bit over the top at times. Can we lighten up a little here Guys?

OT, This should go in the Monger Great Ideas Hall of Fame. I've spent some sleepless nights in rooms along the Panamerican Highway and in Cangrejo because of lousy air conditioning or too much street noise. There, I feel all better now.Rippa, You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Allow me to explain. I consider myself a Panama Vet. In the last 6 years or so I have been over 100 times. Maybe 150. Place used to be so good I was flying from Florida to PTY almost every weekend. Girls were cheaper. Tourists and mongers were non existent. So was the traffic. Girls were Todo la Noche always. Actually more like todo la fin de semana. It was new fun and hip. Now its just played out. Laws changed, tourism changed, there are hotel guest fees, taxis ALL charge the gringo tax now, Shit even the weather seems hotter somehow. Word got out and the masses came and ruined it. Basically what I am saying is PTY was Atlantis-paradise-heaven. It has gone from a 10 to about a 6 or 7. Right in line with the quality and attitude of the girls. So why are some of the so called Panama Vets dogging the country. Well you nailed it. We are disgusted to see the downswing. It just isn't the same. Trust me there are worse places than PTY. There are not many places in the world with a casino, a bar, and putas all under one roof. It is vegas but with looser laws and hookers out in the open but it just used to be sooooo much better than it is now and it sickens me. If someone asked me to go to Panama or pretty much any US city all expenses paid I would say Panama in a heart beat and if someone is travelling there for business or a convention or to meet friends by all means. But, there are better mongering options out there now and for my money I will no longer choose Panama.

Can anyone recommend a daytime massage place in El Dorado?
There used to be a quality operation right across the street from the Do-It Center on the same block as TGI Fridays.
It moved over a year ago and I have not found a replacement. They opened around 10 AM and charged $80 for an hour.
Club Miami just doesn't compare.

New to this side of things. I've been back tracking in the Panama posts, I'm trying to find a girl friendly hotel in Panama City for around $50-$65 range. Anyone can help me with this, or know a good place to stay. I"ve seen a few on my own, but don't know what's good and what's bad.

But they limit themselves (some of them) to known people or referred from someone know them, as in Panama the saying goes, Small Town, Big Hell. Almost everyone knows or at least suspects who is in the "entertainment business", so these girls have to be extra careful
I have also used that trick. It is one of the best kept secrets of Panama.
When my flight arrives after midnight the most direct route to sleep is a push button near the airport.
The total noches price is around $12 and it is an excellent nap before the long drive out of town.
I learned the trick after getting a flat tire on the way into the city to catch a flight. After changing the tire, I was dirty, sweaty and in no shape to catch a flight. In short, I needed a place to clean up so I checked into a push button somewhere north of PC. While checking in I noticed the "total noches $12" sign and it hit me. I could catch a few hours sleep after arriving in the middle of the night.
Having said that, a good night adjustment wouldn't be all bad.

I have used the push button on the right when heading toward the City from PTY. I think it has a goofy name like Arabian Nights. The price may be a little higher, I don't remember since it has been 6-months since I used this trick but you also must check-in after midnight or something like that.
Remember, it is a targeted trick particularly helpful when arriving at the airport late at night and headed into the interior the next day. If you have business in the city, delay your sleep a check into a "real hotel".
I will be back in town soon and will try to get the names. Specifics are always the most helpful.

Someone here mentioned Lima as "up and coming." I've been mongering in Lima for several years now and it is still one of the best-kept secrets in Latin America, but mostly for the "semi-pro" action. That was me that mentioned Lima. I've only been there as a 'civilian', most recently just a few weeks ago. God, do I love the food there! Wish I could indulge in our little hobby, and see MANY fine looking little 'hotties' walking around EVERYWHERE, but have not yet had the chance. I based my comment on the many good things I'm reading and hearing from friends and lucky F*ckers like you who have dallied with the Peruanas!
Anyway, to answer your questions based on MY experiences in Panama City:
1) BJs are 'standard' with the Habano / Veneto chicas, no up sell, but usually covered. However, I have also had Columbianas go BBBJ as well. Doesn't hurt to ask up front. You didn't inquire, but anal has been available as well at times, but admittedly for an upgrade.
2) Yes, Habanos is easily walkable from the Veneto. Maybe 5-10 minutes and I've walked it late at night. Just use your 'Big City Senses' if you know what I mean. Ask any of the drivers hanging out in front of the Veneto for directions. BTW, don't use those 'fancy car' drivers out front unless you need a really nice 'ride' somewhere. They can get pricey. Grab a yellow cab instead. They are inexpensive. Keep in mind if you pull a chica out of Habanos and wish to return to your room with her, you will need a cab then as she will most likely NOT fancy even a short 'hike' in her CFM heels! But don't use one of the 'gypsy cabs' in front of Habanos, either. They are rip-off scam artists and I've heard several horror stories about these cholos. Not to worry, however, as there are yellow cabs usually driving by right in front of the Lebanese restaurant across the street (fine food, open late BTW) or the Marriott Casino also directly in front of you. You'll see what I mean.
And while you're at it, why not branch out and see some of the other many wonderful things to experience in PTY? It might be just what the 'Doctor' ordered. RTFF for some other great possibilities, all up and down the quality / price scale. And PM me if you could use a recommendation for a couple of good, reasonably priced cabbie / guides. These guys are fellow 'Punters' and know our 'needs'.
