This will be my first and only report from Panama, and I'm afraid it won't be all that informative. I have just completed a 30 day, 7 country mongering tour of Central America. My original intent was to monger in all 7 CA countries--Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama, in that order--and to post reports on my experiences in all 7 countries. This I have succeeded in doing. If you'll look at the 6 other countries, you'll find my recent reports there. However, I'm afraid that Panama will be getting short shrift, largely because I just didn't budget enough time for this country. I wanted to take a boat ride on the canal, which took all of one day, after which I was too tired and sunburned to monger, and a city tour took most of another. So I had only one night for mongering, and since I had to get up at 5am to get to the airport, I had to make a short night of it.

I was enthralled by a picture Regulr Travlr posted of a girl named Marisel from Laura's Massage, and I determined to do her when I got to Panama. Unfortunately this didn't work out. I called Laura's and got a voice mail and a message to call back. I then called about 6 different services and places and got the same thing. This happened to me in Honduras as well. I can't fathom why places like this don't answer the phone. Who the hell wants a callback from an escort service or massage parlor? Anyway, I finally reached a place called River Club. They wouldn't send a girl to the El Panama, where I was staying, saying it was 'complicado.' So, I took a taxi over there. This was just before 8pm. The River Club is a brothel that had about 8 girls, maybe 2 of whom were attractive. I picked the most attractive one, a 22 year old whose name I've forgotten. The price, set by the house, was $80 cash and $85 with credit card. Because I was tired I didn't negotiate for the specific sexual services I wanted. I just assumed that, because I had gotten excellent sexual services in nearly every encounter I have had, this would happen here as well. Big mistake! I'll never do that again. She refused to kiss, would give a BJ only with raincoat. She did let me DATY and gave pretty good CFS; pretty skilled at grinding her pelvis deeply into mine for maximum penetration. But overall a disappointing experience.

A word about El Panama. It is an excellent hotel, 5-star I would say, but it doesn't appear to be girl friendly. There was a security guard with a blazer in the lobby watching everyone who came in and who got on the elevator. Moreover, you need to use your room key to operate the elevator, so there's no chance of a girl going directly to your room. However, there is a way around this, which is to book a poolside room. You can walk directly to the rooms without using the elevator. If you come in with a chica and the security guy stops you, just say you are going to dinner, because all the restaurants are on the way to the pool. Then just walk right past the restaurants and go directly to the room. Piece of cake.

I had planned to post comparative ratings of all 7 countries, and I will still do this. However, I don't think I can rate Panama fairly since I didn't give it the time it needed. Totally my fault. If you are reading this, be advised that, if you are coming to Panama for the first time and want to see the canal and also monger, give it at least 4 or 5 days. BTW, I think Panama City is the only real city in CA, in the US or European sense, which is another reason it deserves more time.

Proposed Panama/CR Trip - May 25th- June 10th, 2006:

I am an old Gringo monger, (100% Straight - no lite loafers here) nearing retirement age (61 years) am considering moving to Costa Rica. I've been to Costa Rica several times in the last 2 years. I have not yet been to Panama.

Before making a final decision on moving to Costa Rica. I thought I would like to check out Panama also to make sure that it might not be a better all round place me to live than moving to Costa Rica.

I have a small business plan to import several small new motorscooters in a container leaving (later) from the port in either Long Beach, or San Diego.

I would like to set up a small scooter rental business in either Costa Rica or Panama. Later after moving.

And I have been thinking this would be good in Jaco Beach CR. But am not sure of having to pay taxes on these scooters bringing them into the country of CR. It might work better to get them to Panama, and do the same thing there.

I plan on flying to Panama City from Tulsa (I'm living now in Missouri) the last of May to get in on the start of the 'Green or Rainy Season'. Probabaly will leave the States around May 25th. I am kind of frugal. And like to get in on the "rainy season" discounts at hotels and such.

(For example) - did you know that you can stay at a very nice hotel right next to the Beatle Bar in Jaco Beach Costa Rica in the "green season" for less than half the price they get in the 'high season'. It's the Los Four Grandes Hotel, about 40 yards North of the famous Beatle Bar. In the Low season you can get a deluxe large room with kingsized bed, big color cable TV. Couch, coffee table, chest-of-drawers, remote control air-conditioning, private bath w/hot water shower, and there is also another room connected with a double bed, and another small room with a large sink for washing clothes too. Last time I was there (Nov. 2005) it was $ 25. 00 per night.))))).

I will plan on staying in Panama and check out things there for perhaps 4-5 days and then move on to Costa Rica. My tenitive plan is to stay in Panama City a couple of days, and then to take a bus from Panama City up the West Coast to the city of David, stopping and staying along the way for a day or so to break up the long bus ride. ((I hear it is about a 14-15 hour bus ride from Panama City to San Jose.))

If that is not feasable, then I will just fly into Panama City. Do that and then fly out to San Jose CR for the CR part of my trip. Then once back in Costa Rica (((where I am not a newbie & and I know the drill)))I plan on spending perhaps another 7-10 days in CR. I have made about 5 trips to Costa Rica, and been to both coasts. I prefer the Pacific side. And I probably will end up moving to Jaco Beach later. But just in case I should find out that things are better in Panama. Then I want to at least have check out both (Panama & Costa Rica) before making a move.

I have a good buddy who is living and working now in San Jose. He is a dental technician and has been there for 1 1/2 years. He has a local Tica for a live-in girlfriend, a nice 2 bedroom apartment in a good section of San Jose for $250. 00 a month, and is reportedly enjoying living in San Jose very much.

He was my Wingman on the very first trip to CR - 2 years ago. But he is now busy working 5-6 days a week, and can't get away for long.

I know how to get around in Costa Rica pretty well. I've been to many of the 'good spots', and don't mind going it alone in Costa Rica. But would like to get some help with where to go and what to do while in Panama.

This will be a summary of my recent month long mongering trip through all 7 Central American countries. I plan to post this report on the forums of all of these countries: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. As some of you know, I have alraedy posted several reports for each of the individual countries, some lengthy, some sketchy because there wasn't much to report. The responses to my reports were overwhelmingly positive, and I want to thank all the guys right now who posted positive responses on the threads and who sent me PMs. I got at least 10 PMs, all of them supportive, and I am grateful for these. A small number of negative responses were posted, all of them on the Honduras and Nicaragua forums. This was probably because I was less than enthusiastic about these countries, and some mongers apparently felt that I had insulted their favorite haunts. Now I am not an especially thin-skinned guy and can take my lumps, but I thought these few responses were surprisingly vicious. The posters seemed to feel the need to attack me personally. They seem to have no conception of the fact that reasonable people can have differing opinions on the same subject and still be civil to each other. I made it quite clear in each of my posts that it was my first time in CA and that I was taking this mongering trip largely out of curiosity to see how the mongering situation was in some countries I had never been to before. I made it clear, and want to make it clear now, that my reports are not intended for the veteran CA monger but for those, like myself, who are veteran mongers but who are new to this area, or at least some of the countries, and to this extent they may be helpful to some. If that isn't the case, well you can always ignore it and move on. But the negative posters just couldn't grasp this. They couldn't grasp why someone who is in a city for the first time might prefer to pay $55 to an escort service to have a chica come directly to his room for some excellent sex, rather than attempt to guide a brain dead taxi driver through the slums of Managua to find a hole in the wall massage parlor where he can get laid for $10. They seem to be unable to grasp that my time and my convenience are worth money too. These doofuses seem to exemplify Oscar Wilde's definition of a cynic as someone who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. But I guess some people will always be terminally stupid.

Anyway, on to mongering. First I want to make a few observations about visiting CA, based on my trips through these 7 countries, that some might find helpful:

1) With the exception of Costa Rica, the taxi drivers in CA seem NEVER to have change--NEVER. So you will be well advised, early in your stay in a country, to stock up on the country's smallest paper currency unit.
2) The taxi drivers in Guatemala City and Managua are the dumbest in the world--and I've been all over the world. In GC, always have the address written down. In Managua you can't even do this, because there aren't any addresses! By contrast, the San Jose taxi drivers seem smart and helpful.
3) Even top of the line hotels may not have all the amenities you might expect. For example, I didn't once see an English langauage newspaper in the 6 Spanish speaking countries; I guess they've never heard of the International Herald Tribune. This is surprising, because it can be found all over South America. What is even more surprising is that it is often hard to find newspapers even in Spanish; the Holiday Inn in Guatemala City had no newspapers at all. Similarly, if you need toothpaste or deodorant, don't expect your hotel to have it; you'll probably have to go to a tienda.
4) You will need to have some knowledge of Spanish--period. This is especially true in El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
5) I found Central Americans to be exceptionally warm, friendly, and helpful during my trip. I even had the manager of a Guatemala City restaurant drive me back to my hotel when I couldn't find a taxi. I didn't meet a single nasty person. But read on.
6) In all of these countries, watch your back. Your physical safety comes first. If you don't know an area, don't assume it's safe. Take a taxi from door to door, even for short distances. Take only official taxis, and except in Managua, don't get in a taxi if another passenger is in it. (In Managua, taxis are routinely shared.)

Now on to my comparative country ratings. In evaluating the countries comparatively, I took the following factors into consideration: the ease of getting pussy; the quality of the girls, i.e., physical attractiveness, without considering their expertise; the quality of the sexual experience, which means the sexual skills of the girls, physical attractiveness aside; and price. For the record, I had sex in all 7 countries, 11 girls, 14 encounters (3 of them repeats, obviously). I'll make comments on each of these factors for each country, and then I'll give each country a rating from 1 through 10. What am I using as my paradigms? Well, I'm a veteran Rio de Janeiro monger, and to me Rio is the pussy capital of the world, so Rio would get a 10: easily available sex, beautiful girls who are highly skilled sexually, and reasonable prices (although Rio has gotten more expensive lately). Bangkok would get a 9.75, only because Thai girls are not always good kissers. As for a 1, I've never experienced a 1, but it would be something like what I imagine a conservative Moslem country to be: a place where getting laid is difficult or impossible, and might even be dangerous. So those are the parameters, and herewith the individual country summaries.

BELIZE: There is only one reliable place to get laid in Belize, which is Raul's Rose Garden near the Belize City airport. An hour with a bored chica or Belizean girl resulting in lackluster sex will cost about US$75. A few posters say they have gotten connections to girls from taxi drivers, but I had no luck with this. OVERALL RATING: 2.

GUATEMALA: Guatemala City has the highest concentration of quality chicas in all of CA, approaching but not equaling the termas in Rio. They are also very skilled sexually and I had them do everything I asked. However, it is also the most expensive. In the two best clubs, the rates are US$78 for 1/2 hour and US$156 for an hour, fixed by the club, not negotiable. There are cheaper places, but the quality of girls is nowhere near as high. Avoid the Club Elite; it's a ripoff for people on expense accounts and gullible tourists. OVERALL RATING: 8

EL SALVADOR: This country is CA's hidden gem. Pussy is readily available, All the girls I was with are quite skilled sexually, and DFK/BBBJ/DATY/CFS seem to be the norm. CIM was no problem. And it's incredibly cheap! There is a slight variation in the prices at the clubs, but the average is about US$25 for 1/2 hour and US$40 for an hour. So what's the drawback? Simple: the quality of the girls is not high. There are some attractive honeys available if you look, but the majority of the girls in the houses are skanks, and some are outright pigs. But as I said, the good ones are there if you look--really look. On the San Salvador thread, Cpteasy's posts are quite informative. OVERALL RATING: 8.5

HONDURAS: A wretched country; if Honduras has any redeeming qualities, I didn't see any. Don't come here for mongering. If you must come here, I suppose you can find something. You'll probably fare better in San Pedro Sula than Tegucigalpa. On the SPS thread, Ford's posts are pretty good. As for Tegucigalpa, forget it. It's easier to get laid in North Korea than Tegucigalpa. (If you think I'm exaggerating, I'm not: read my post from the North Korea forum: http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=400531&postcount=44.) All I could manage to get was a hand job. As far as I could tell from the Tegucigalpa thread, that's all that anyone got. I read every single post on this thread and didn't find a single person who got laid or even got a blow job. OVERALL RATING: 1.5

NICARAGUA: Not quite as wretched as Honduras, but close. At least Leon is interesting as a tourist attraction, and I have heard Granada is too. Managua is a chaotic city where the streets don't even have names. Your best bet for mongering is to call an escort service in the Yellow Pages and hope for the best. I had good results from Bellamaris; cost US$55. OVERALL RATING: 4

COSTA RICA: Costa Rica, especially San Jose, is one of the best documented forums on this website, so I don't need to say a lot. Pussy is readily available, all over the place actually. The girls are uniformly good in bed, DFK/BBBJ/DATY/CFS the norm. Prices are reasonable; I never paid more than US$60 for an hour. Quality of girls overall is so so. There are some very attractive ones available, but a large number of skanks as well. Your best bet for finding quality chicas is the Sportsmens Lodge. What keeps me from giving CR a 10 is the fact that San Jose just isn't a very interesting city, so there's not much to do but monger. The tourist attractions lie elsewhere in the country. OVERALL RATING: 9

PANAMA: I didn't give Panama the attention it deserves, largely because I was doing tourist things like a canal boat ride, and I was recovering from being sick. I only mongered at one place, River Club, where I got a beautiful chica who was lousy in bed. Cost $US80 cash, $85 credit card. But pussy seems readily available, and I assume that what I paid was representative. But my rating will have to be tentative because of my limited mongering there, so I am basing it largely on other mongers reports as well as my own experience. OVERALL RATING: 7

I stayed at the El Panama Hotel for a week in February and rented a Cabana Room adjacent to the pool. I got stopped a few times by security while bringing girls back to my room but just showed the guards my hotel confirmation that I had a rental confirmation for two people and they backed off and apologized each time.The best way to bring the girls in ise from the Casino entrance and thru the bar area at the pool. This is a beautiful hotel with probably the biggest pool and lounging area in Panama City.They also have a great buffet breakfast included in the room rate. Several massage parlours are within walking distance including Oasis about 500 feet away. At night the Venetto Casino right around the corner would fill up with girls around 10 PM, primarily Colombians. I will definetely stay at the El Panama Hotel again in a Cabana room adjacent to the pool.

Does anyone have experience with using cell phones in Panama City or the rest of the country?

I had heard that some cell phones from the USA (ones with a USA cell contract or pay by the unit cell phones) would possibly work in Panama.

If you have experience with this, I would be appreceiative for some information as to the name, type, model # of cell phone, that you have taken to Panama. And has worked for you.

I know about cell phones in Costa Rica, which are rather difficult to get, only work in CR, and expensive. And I have never heard about any USA cell phone that would work in CR.

How about renting a cell phone for use in Panama?

Since I will be making my first trip to Panama in about a month or so, I would like to know if my USA phone. Especially the pay by the minute phones such as the Tracfones might possibly work in Panama.

My unlocked cell phone which I used all over the world-Thailand, Colombia and the Dominican Republic to name a few places did not work in Panama. The reason as explained to me by one of the owners of a shop In Panama City, selling phones and sim cards was that the phones use a different frequency over there. And no, cell phones from the US do not there either-different band or wavelenght. If I am wrong someone please provide some feedback

On the bright side it is not too much to purchase a cheap phone, about $30-$40. Hope this helps.

Panama can be a lot of fun, however you need to hook-up with someone who has some idea of what's going on down there especially if you want to start a business. Five days is insufficient for this. All the necessary info on Panama City is available on this board, however if you plan on going to David, the person you should contact is Want too play, he will steer you in the right direction. He and I had a blast down there last September. Go when he is visiting. Also I do believe you can take a 'puddle jumper' from a small airport in Pasa Canosa into Costa Rica relatively cheaply. Not sure where Pasa Conosa is, but if Steve wanted to take the bus to David and then fly to San Jose, there might be a problem. I checked about 6 months ago and there were no direct flights from David to San Jose.

Pasa Canosa is a town right smack on the border of Costa Rica and Panama. There are some establishments here but they can be very hit or miss as it relates to quality. It is about a 45 minute drive from David. Negoiate with taxi driver in David, cost should be around $25. I cannot remember if this was round trip or each way. By the way you need to walk with your passport as there is a border checkpoint and those scumbag Panamanian border agents/police or whatever make it a habit to shake down unsuspecting travellers. Of course if you do not have your passport a bribe is necessary, just do not agree to what they ask for. $20 is sufficient.

Oh by the by the planes are not large, cessena's I think.

My cell phone worked TOO well in PYC. I am from Hawaii and ran up a bill of almost $6000 in just 3 weeks while in Panama.

I called them pricks with Cingular, my carrier, who assured me they had a plan for like 39 cents per minute. they lied.

I was in the process of closing several biz deals and also splitting up with my ex. I was shocked when I got the bill. The rate was like $2.99 per minute and I had no proof that I ever had sruck the previous deal. I no longer require their services.

BTW, the reception was great. from just your typical motorola.

As for El Panama, I think calling it "5 star" by today's standards is certainly reaching. The rooms, while nice and large, are a bit aged. I did not have a cabana, but a suite in the main hotel. The pool was great and I would definately stay there again. But I would refer to it as 3-4 star. Coco's was pretty cool and the location was great.

I had one security prick challenge me about 2 am one morning with a NON-P4P hook up.. He stepped onto the elevator and told her she had to split if I did not pay him $20. She was really insulted and wanted to leave. My spanish sux and I told her to ask him if "this was for him or the hotel"? He replied "The hotel" so i told her to tell him to "put in on my bill and to fuck off". He walked away a bit flustered.

Well mongers, here's the latest update:
Capri/Fenix: Lotsa, I mean lotsa good looking girls, checked this out on saturday. Same price $10-$15 for 15 mins, and $2-$3 cover entrance. Better if you BYOC. Girls range IMHO for 6 to 9

Gruta Azul: Moderate to good looking girls, might name a very popular one, Vanessa. Also $10-$15 for 15 mins. Most days no cover but on weekend they might charge $1-$2

La Mayor: has decayed a little bit. Might not recommend it until further investigation.

La Bocatorena: good girls around 11am till 1pm. Might be easier to get number and arrange a date without time constrains of the premises

As said before, the frequency in Panama is of 850Mhz, therefore most of the US/Europe cell phone units does not work.
There are a few options:
1. Buy a local prepaid phone for about US$ 60.00. You will get a new unit and something like $30 on credit for calls.
2. Rent a local phone, for as low as US$5.00 per day, and you have to pay for the minutes.
3. Buy back home an UNLOCKED Quad band phone (like the Motorola Rzr V3) it will operate in any bandwidth in the world and with any SIMM card.

Fenix and Capri are the same place, as for directions, if youre not very familiar with the panamenian landmarks its gonna be hard giving directions, just ask any cab driver to take you to the capri, also called "la fenix". Dont let them drop you right inside, else I think the local might charge you extra because the drivers earn a referal bonus from every customer dropped

I was a student back in 1987 and spent X-mas and New years 1987 in Panama City. Got in a fight with my two travel mates..they took off up north and I stayed behind in Panama City alone. Stayed at hotel Europe.

Being alone I got into the routine of boozing up every night and take a taxi down to Ancon Inn. I had 9 different women there over a two week period. Went to the brothel Bluee Goose and had a couple of women there too.

One girl was a black girl..very cute, nice body with nice big tits..she was from San Jose Costa Rica..she said her name was Rosa Victoria Brown Ferguson..she had a kid..I wondered what happened to her..she was a very nice girl..we spent several days together.

i flew in on the evening flight from miami arriving pty at 7:30pm. my first mistake was not purchasing a tourist card ($5) just before entering the immigration line. there is a desk with no sign at the beginning of the line which all tourist must stop at, pay the $5, and fill-out a card. no big deal, the immigration line goes really fast.

upon exiting the airport, i was actually surprised the taxi drivers didn't pounce on me. i had to poke around a bit to find a taxi. they insisted $27.40, i countered with $20, then $25, but they wouldn't budget. seems like a crazy price for about a 10 mile trip in panama.

arrived at the courtyard marriott at 8:30pm. seems like a new hotel. very nice rooms, great high-speed internet (free), and right next to a nice mall. although, it appears to be a bit away from the action.

i first hit elite at around 10:00pm. $20 cover includes 3 drinks. if you want a us style strip club with beautiful colombians, this is the place. there were only 2 other guys there and about 20 women. i found the women a little too aggressive. they sit down next to you uninvited and won't leave for some time. on the bright side, they give you a free test drive (let you touch, kiss, etc), but if it goes on for too long, they will ask you to buy them a drink (i believe $15). one thing i noticed with all the women, when they're kissing, they seem to all try to make eye contact with other customers. i didn't know whether the message was "rescue me, i don't want to be with this guy" or "don't you wish you could be this guy i'm kissing right now". either way, i found it disturbing.

Just catching up. This report is from last Wednesday.

We walk into a lounge that is a basically empty. But through that is the main club. Large stage area on the left with multiple dance areas. Usually 4 girls going at once. When we arrived there was a girl doing a dance in large bathtub with bubbles near the bar. Pretty interesting. We locate her friend and she joins us. Large number of girls all 7 and above. Didn’t see any real stunners but all doable. They wear common outfits while in the crowd and change for dancing. Girls drinks are probably $10. I ran a tab and they were both drinking Aguardiente, a lot.

The girls dance on stage and then come around to sit and do private dances or just drink. There are no rooms on site sex. Girls are available for take out for 1 hour for $190 total cost. I would imagine you could arrange your own meetings for later, but I would certainly not take house offer. First it’s too much money, secondly this place is located away from most of the hotels so the time would be very rushed.

I met the owner, Victor. He is a Greek guy who lived in Las Vegas. I complimented him on the look of the club and he says that he wanted to create a Vegas style club in Panama. Good for him. Bad for the consumer. I am not sure how the Panama economy can support something like this in the long term. Although Elite and Le Palace are surviving.

As far as I know, ELITE CLUB is still charging $21.00 for open bar (all you can drink). I'm not sure if they have a "special" fee for gringos, but for us (Panamanians) the 21.00 is the cost.

If any of you guys go there, ask for a "$21.00 open bar", if they refuse to, Let the girl know that you and another friend have paid 21.00 before, if she still refuses then simulate you're leaving (that could help).

Here's the scoop on cell phones in Panama. BellSouth provides CDMA service in Panama, and I think maybe Cable & Wireless is also. However, to use a CDMA phone and get the Panama rates, it would have to be set-up (programmed) to work with the BellSouth (or Cable & Wireless) system in Panama. I have heard you can get this done there, but have never tried it.

Cable & Wireless provides GSM service. One word of caution with GSM phones, they MUST be "unlocked" and operate on the GSM 850 band
to be usable in Panama. GSM uses 4 frequency bands, 850 (aka 800)/900/1800/1900. ONLY GSM 850 (OR 800) PHONES WILL WORK IN PANAMA! In the United States, GSM 850 is used by Cingular and AT&T. T-Mobile uses GSM 900 and these phones will not work in Panama unless they can be re-programmed for the 850 band. You may check out the specs
for your phone and find out it's a quad band phone (850/900/1800/1900), however, if it was purchased from T-Mobile, it will have the GSM 850 band disabled. It may be capable of being re-programmed to operate on GSM 850, but it's not a simple fix, and IS NOT THE SAME AS UNLOCKING! Unlocking simply means the phone can use SIM cards from a provider other
than the one who sold the phone. As mentioned above, the GSM phone MUST be unlocked also, this will allow you to purchase a Cable & Wireless SIM card in Panama to use in the phone.

You can buy cell phones with time on them for cheap in Panama. You should be able to buy a phone for about $30 with some time. They always have promotions there with 3 or 4 times more minutes than you pay for. Ask and they will tell you. Once you have a chip the phone company private messages you with their promotions. Had a very disappointing time at Golden Times last night. I've posted a couple of positive/mixed reports here at ISG, including on River Club in PTY and Paradiso in David. But this is the sort of report I hurry to write, as the experience was so bad, y'all need to beware... and run don't walk from Golden Times.

Pay up front, and "they" hold all the cards. If they want to rip you off on time/service as Golden Times does, they can. I know from having spent cumulative weeks in El Cangrejo PTY in the past, there are a couple of Guidos routinely hanging around near Oasis. Readers already know where I'm at WRT the "pay up front and take your chances" MPs at this point... pfff!

LT's description is extremely accurate: roll call, rooms, showers, tables, etc.. The price used to be $80 + 5% tax, but your price looks like they bumped it up to $90.

I have visited Golden Time at least 20 times over the past year. Friends accompanied me about 5 to 10 times (clients and business associates too), including some take out. In discussions, our experiences ranged from excellent to above average. I've never heard of an experience as bad as yours. But, from surveying some of the looks on the faces of some of the women, I've always assumed that there were a few bad attitudes in there. I admit, I'm looking more for friendliness when they parade in the salon. And yes, the women aren't imported for their massage skills, for sure.

GT is what it is: relatively expensive for sometimes pedestrian action, but almost always with a very attractive performer in a clean and "non-seedy" environment. And it's extremely convenient. Hell, they even take credit cards. Certainly, an accomplished monger can find much easier pickings around the city.

I'm at Tocumen airport waiting for my flight home, so I thought I'd give a short report on my trip here to Panama City. I'm not going to review specific girls, because I always think it's a waste of time to try to track down a specific girl someone has recommended. In my experience, YMMV no matter what, and what does the trick for me may not for you, etc.

In any event, here's a brief overview.

Hotel: Stayed at the Las Vegas Suites Hotel across from the Veneto casino. I got a very nice "studio" for $60 + tax per night, which suited my budget fine. I'm sure you can get cheaper but I was happy with the price. The "studio" isn't much to speak of. It's a big room with a small kitchenette and bathroom. No carpeting or special amenities, but it was clean and the staff is good. The two best things about the Las Vegas Suites is 1) it has a wireless system that's quite good and 2) it's connected to Pomodoro and the Wine Bar. The Wine Bar is really excellent--good value and good wines. Nice place to sit. Pomodoro has quite good food and an excellent breakfast.

Food: Other than Pomodoro, the only meal I had worth notice was at the steakhouse Martin Fierro, which is down the street from the LV Suites at 21 Calle Eusebio Morales. It's an Argentine-style steakhouse and the (local) meat was fantastic. I got a great NY strip--bife de chorizo--and an half-bottle of wine for $20. (The imported beef is much more expensive.)

Chicas: Of course, this is why we all come to Panama. I didn't have time for MPs or brothels, so I only visited a few places.

--Veneto casino: Full of girls every night after about 11. Just go up the escalator to the bar and you'll see them. They also congregate around the slots. You can pretty much assume that any girl alone or any group of 2-3 girls are on the job. Most of them are Colombians, but I found a few from Panama that spoke English. Cost is about $100 (I did not spend a lot of time trying to bargain, although I'm sure you can.) Some 9s, mostly 5s-7s.

--Habano's: This is a cigar bar/pool hall/bar across from the Marriott. If you can stand the smoke, it's a great place to hang out, with lots and lots of chicas. Some 9s, mostly 6s-7s. I think the price is a little lower here than at the casino.

--Bolero's: This is on Calle 42 in Bella Vista, and the girls there were smokin' hot. All 9's and 10s. It's a small place, so there weren't too many girls, but the ones that were there were worth doing ... and doing. My guess is the price is also about $100, although I didn't check.

I didn't go to the other hang-outs mentioned in previous reports, but my quick observation suggests that almost every casino and every bar near a casino has available girls. There are also lots of street girls who look a cut above what you see in most places.

I apologize to all of you for not being more specific about my activities, but I'm sure you can imagine. I had no bad experiences, I had no great experiences, but I was content. I just thought it would be good to provide an updated, albeit brief, guide to adult fun in Panama. Next time I'll stay longer and visit more places.

Actually, you might be right about it being an hour at Golden Time on the premises for $84. I've only done take out during the last year or two. There used to be a deal, where you could tell them you were referred by Sandman and they were supposed to give you an extra 15 minutes. Elberto, that was me that paid $350 for bad service at Golden Time. That also was my entire mongering budget for the time I was in Panama -- I was working outside the city the rest of the trip. And if I'm screwing it up for others that are trying to bang 3 chicas a day on $100, so be it. I don't care.

I've had good service from maybe 8 out 10 women I've seen at Golden Time. I've never been with a 19 to 21 year old model-looking hooker in the U.S. But from the internet ads what you can get for $350 at Golden Time (all night) would run $2000+ in the U.S.

I do not think overall it is a bad place. I will never go back because I don't like the MP atmosphere overall and there are plenty of other options out there in Panama. There are countless reports on here and other boards of the quality of girls there. I think that report presented here was of one bad apple. There are probably a few more. But in my visit I had a fine experience. Also if you read the reports here the standard advice is to take a pen and paper with you and start tracking their numbers immediately. Be prepared. I reckon that since it's a "special" ride, most of the taxi drivers should charge you about 1.50 plus 5.00 or about 13.00 roundtrip, but NEVER more than 15.00 roundtrip, anyway you can negotiate with him before.

Yes the currency is Dollars. All paper transactions are dollars. The coins you get may be Balboas. Bring many 1s and 5s. Nothing over a 20. ATM's are fee free from the Panama side. So if you can find a local bank relation you can withdraw totally free. I use HSBC.

The Marriott is a great central location. It is expensive, but I am a worldwide Marriott *W*h*o*r*e so I stay there on my rewards. I have had no problems bringing girls in, but be discreet during afternoon and early evening hours when the regular clientele are coming in. Just so you don't make a spectacle for there nonmongering customers. After midnight just be prepared for an ID check at the desk. Of course if you bring as many girls in one evening as Spider does it may attract attention, or a round of applause.

Oasis is on Veneto street, which is more or less "around the corner" from the Panama. Veneto is east of the Panama and perpendicular to the main drag, Via Espana. Oasis is on the same side of Veneto as El Panama, and down low, below street level. It's hard to spot the first time.

Club Miami is not in Plaza Mirage. If you're going away from downtown and towards Transistmica and the airport on Tumba Muerto, you'll pass Plaza Mirage, where Golden Time is located, on your right and McDonalds on your left. Then there's a stoplight. Go left at the stoplight, and go about 1 long block (or maybe two short blocks?) and there's a 24 hour Nikko's restaurant off to your left -- keep your eyes open, it's a little hard to spot. Turn left and go past Nikko's and Miami will be on the left side of the road in a strip of shops.

I´ve read months worth of entries here about Panama city, and realize now what´s missing, a sense of where the spots are located. Most of them are within a few blocks of each other. I should compile a list of locations. Elite, Life, Le Palace, El Bodeguita, Habano´s, El Panama casino, Veneto casino, etc. are all within a few minutes walking distance.

I gots mixed feelings on the pricing issue. Short version, as some of you may have guessed, I come in on the "cheapass" side, and wish to see a united front held wrt what we pay these chicas.

I've been down here for over 4 months, between Pan and CR. CR, specifically San Jose, is quite pricey so I'm just talking about Panama City now. It takes at least a few days, maybe a few weeks, to acclimate yourself to what a buck buys here, vs in the states. Safe to say I'm acclimated, and $70, $100 etc is a small fortune if you live and eat and shop like the locals.

That said, this biz about the Habanos chicas basically unionizing, and letting $40, $50, $60 offers walk away coz they demand everyone conform to their new $70 minimum rule... ridiculous. They're indys, mostly colombianas, they don't have to "get checked" every week unless they choose to, they have no middle men/house etc pinching 3/4 the cash, they don't pay squat to enter Habanos and sit there with their sign out... or Veneto or most anywhere else for that matter. I'm all for unions and worker solidarity and so forth, but the habanos chicas' game just says greed to me-- again, considering what that kind of $ buys here, and ever more so in Colombia... lets not even discuss what local non-prostitute chicas earn here in a month. The chicas certainly aren't all created equally, whether looks, body, personality, GFE skills, STD liklihood, rip-off/con-artist liklihood etc-- but suddenly they've stepped onto Habanos patio and they're uniformly high class $70 minimum chicas, day or night?? Pfffff. Only if yous suckers routinely roll over for it.

No offense to spidermonkey of course who paid his Wed night Habanos chica $70--- before the later upgrade to toda la noche. I was there for that negotiation, SM started at $50, few mins later upped it to $60... But she wouldn't move down from $70... she's the one who even told us that "habanos is $70 minimum". I couldn´t really help you with directions to places outside of downtown. The only one that I went to was Club Capri and that was a 15 or so minute drive. Cabbies seem to start by asking for $3 but accept $2.

La Bodeguita is on Calle 53 (Clle Uruguay) right next to the ocean. The first few times I dropped in there (in the afternoon and at 8pm) I saw absolutely no one. I dropped in after midnight once and it was jam packed wall to wall. Night life in Panama doesn´t even seem to begin til after 11pm.. $10 cover. It´s supposed to be a good place to find freelancers or to take your lady, though I wouldn´t know from personal experience.

And finally, regarding Elite, I have been offered the all you can drink special and I'm a gringo. But I'm not sure that it's available every day. And anyway I'm not a big drinker so it was cheaper for me to do the minimum consumption, which I think was 2 drinks. Luvr Tom, I've been pushed harder there to buy lady drinks than anyplace in town, including Miami. I think drinks is how the women there make a lot of their money -- nobody does take out, because the price is ridiculous. And management will fire any woman they catch setting up something for after hours or the next day (although you can still do it if you're careful). Why are you so surprised at this? If you had read the forum before any of your visits you would know that Le Palace, Life Girls, Miami, Elite and Cristal Moon all have a chica drink policy. Any girls drinks will be charged at bar price, usually around $10 and the girls and the bar split the profit. This is a common practice in the U.S. It is a common practice in clubs around the world. In the Far East there are clubs where the only thing you do is sit with the girls and buy them drinks. And let’s not forget the “Champagne Rooms.” Some guys enjoy the company. There are easy ways to avoid this - JUST SAY NO. Say it politely. Tell them you would rather find a way to give all the money to them and not have to split it with the bar. Or say you would only like to buy only one. Or do not go to these clubs. There is no drink pricing in place at Habano’s, Veneto or a lot of other places. There are no drinks on the street. But everybody has their own preferences and approaches to being with the girls.

The girls in the clubs are there to make money. Unlike the street girls the prices are fixed by the bar. There are economics in play here. They have “protection” from the owner, they have routine medical checks, some clubs even provide housing. So any activities inside the club have a fixed price and management monitors that. They use their share to offset some of the costs and make a profit. The girls use their share to make money! They can make money by having guys by drinks for them, or by having sex with them. Or both. Their job is to sell. You are customer. Your job is to decide what to buy and from whom.

I have never been ripped off at any of these places. If I like a girl I will sit and have a drink with her. If I don’t like a girl I won’t. The girls will usually ask if it is OK to have another. If you are buying many drinks someone from the club will ask you in advance it it is OK, or require a credit card early on. They do not want to get stuck.

I got into P.C. last night and so far things are rocking.

The cab ride from the airport to downtown is about $25 plus tips for everyone and his grandmother, but I told the attendant I wanted a ¨collectivo¨ and I was able to split the fare with 3 other Americans on a stopover to Cartagena. With tips I spent $12 to get to the Hotel Montreal.

The Hotel Montreal is pretty basic with clean rooms and rock hard beds. I got a room with 2 beds for $33. The hot water isn´t hot, and it takes 5 minutes to get lukewarm, but there are plenty of other hotels nearby if I want to move.

After I put my stuff in the room I headed to Habano´s across from the Marriott, a $2 cab ride with tip. As I got out of the cab I was instantly greeted by a tout for the Palace strip club, but I told him it was muy caro and I was not interested.

There were a dozen smoking hot girls at Habano´s, and about 5 guys. One pretty Colombiana named Joanna had me sit with her and her friends. After a while she offered to go back to the room for $100 but I refused. Eventually she offered to go for $80 but I said I will get plenty for free in P.C., so no sale. Posts from last year said prices were $30, so special thanks to all you guys so desperate for pussy that you pay any price and mess it up for those of us that like our sex for cheap.

After a few beers I was the only guy left and there were still 13 girls standing around. Finally one of Joanna´s hot friends told her she was going dancing and she was nice enough to invite me. I went by the Elite II but it was closed. I asked the security guard about the place. He said the business hours were from 8pm to 6am, the cover charge is $18, and the girls are $250. Seems like a lot of money in a city where there's a pretty girl in every direction you look.

Speaking of the locals, everywhere I go the local girls and women smile and come up to me to chat and try to practice their English. It's a little like being a celebrity. I was going to change hotels today but one of the girls I met on the hotel staff said she wanted to hang out after work tonight so I just added another night. I'm letting the little head think for the big one.

I like the Montreal all right, but it seems like it's a cab ride to everywhere. The heat in Panama City is nothing like I've ever experienced, and with the high humidity my clothes are soaked after just a short walk. I saw a bunch of pensionado hotels around the Hotel San Remo in Bella Vista for only $10 a night, so depending on how things work out with the Hotel Montreal chica I will probably try a few other hotels. Early last night the park about 3 blocks from the San Remo was packed with pretty girls, but by the time I went to the hotel, cleaned up, and got back there had been a heavy rain shower and there were only a few girls around waiting for the bus.

Someone had mentioned how easy it was to just approach a girl and ask her back to your room. I'm a fast operator in general, but it was a stretch for me to walk up to a girl on the street and proposition her. My Spanish is sucktacular, but she seemed interested at first but then said she didn't understand and looked away. I was tired after a long day so I went back to the room and pulled out my Spanish book. I'll try again later and will be successful.

I found Hotel Montreal to be a total dump. The tiny TV barely worked. They didn´t give me a remote for it initially and the buttons were missing. The window wouldn´t lock. The bed was hard and there was tons of street noise.

Getting a jack daniels at the hotel bar was an exercise in futility. Even after pointing right at the bottle for 2 minutes they were unable to see the bottle. When they did see the bottle they couldn´t come up with a price. After about 5 mins of this I gave up and went with Ron Abuelo, which is a good rum.

I never saw those alleged in house hookers, though I didn´t spend much time at the hotel (for obvious reasons).

A much better option is Hotel Andino. It´s at Avenida Peru & Calle 35. It´s guest friendly. Costs the same, about $20 a night for a single or double. They have safe deposit boxes in rooms. The room was about triple the size of my room in Hotel Montreal, with a much nicer bed. One of the managers speaks fluent English. The TV gets many stations, including HBO. Hardly any street noise. This was one of the best value hotels I've ever stayed at, and I´m comparing it here to the nice clean cheap hotels I´ve stayed at in Bangkok.

On pricing again, it's true that just 6-12 months ago the indy chicas at Veneto, or Habanos, would have been in hog heaven to get a minimum $70/lay. What's changed since then? Hyperinflation in PTY living costs? Nope. Only thing to change has been PTY gaining recognition as a monger's destination, mongers plowing in without the sort of "compass" re pricing and everything else as ISG.info provides, and they're paying whatever the chica demands, presumably tricked into thinking, "when in Rome..."

So the chicas aren't dumb, I don't fault them for uniformly proposing the big "$CIEN$" sucker bait to start off with... but when they're unrealistic about how not every gringo just got off the plane with a pocket full of CIENs, and the chicas agree amongst themselves to maintain a "minimum $70" standard as they've done at Habanos, and they stubbornly let $40, 50, 60 offers (standard fare just months ago) walk away. I submit, they're being dumb (or maybe just temporarily naive/misguided).

They can fool some fresh faced tourists some of the time with that game, but they seem to think they can train all their customers as fools, all of the time. I say they need to get over that. If I pop into Habanos, it'll just be to mess with them, and then take a walk if they don't accept $50. Let them sit there all night with their $70 (80, CIEN, 150) signs out and make nothing, in the time they could have done 3 $50 tricks.

I'll add this, at the risk of throwing this discussion off track. But I just now thought of this anology and can't resist. I'm among the wave of gringos who's here looking at property offerings, with an eye towards fleeing the USA-Titanic. I've been around here several months. The Panama land/real-estate scene has gone from merely heated, to insane. There are many examples of areas where land is selling for 10 times more per meter than 5 years ago. Local Panamanians who've got some land, have all heard stories by now of how this and that land in their area just sold for some (recently unimaginable) price per square meter. They're getting drunk with dollar signs in their eyes. Nowdaze should someone approach them about their land, they ask double what the plot across the street sold for last week. It's truly frothy... you know, the little bubbles on top of the big bubbles? Meanwhile, with many owners still in denial, US real estate is rolling over (http://patrick.net/housing/crash.html#links) (so are stocks but I digress). Many (US) owners are fixing to get crushed, as they're still drunk from the real estate party, and they refuse to sell for a dime less than the number of fiat federal reserve notes they've been led to believe their property is worth. Panamanian owners are in the same boat, only worse, coz the real estate party here has been many times more intense in recent months/years. You see the anology I'm drawing WRT the indy chicas here lately? It seems the Habanos chicas are playing a fool's game, drunk with the anecdotes of gringos paying CIEN-plus, pretending their own booties are all equal, and/or their customers (wallets/naivete) are all equal-- reminds me of the fat kid who can't pull his hand out of the candy jar coz it's overfilled with candy.

This has sparked the "moral minority" wanting to have idiotic laws forbiding citizrns to take nude pictures, film, etc even in private and for private use.

Hotel San Remo is $20 per night. You can go around the corner to Dos Mares and I believe it is $10 or $11 per night. San Remo is not a bad hotel, only a few years old and serves it's purpose well. Just around the corner to the right is where the working girls stand about dark. Some nice looking young girls. The park is across the street to the left and about 2 or 3 blocks up. Panama City is a neat place and for my first time visiting a Latin American country I'm surprised how easy it is to get around and get things done. The people are extremely friendly and seem glad that Americans come to visit their country.

No matter where I've been, if I'm having trouble communicating and no amount of miming or trying to Spanish-ize English words has done the trick, there is an English speaker somewhere nearby that has been willing to help.

The lady barber in Bella Vista got a security guard from the nearby bank to find an American pensionado to help me locate the park, and a nice French man helped the guy at the mobile telephone store understand that I was not trying to buy a gun, but only asking why the guys on the motorcycles were wearing body armor and carrying machine guns. It turns out there are lots of banks and casinos in the area, and machine guns minimize problems with theft.

Around the Veneto Casino there are dozens of shops selling cell phones, accessories, and prepaid minutes. I was able to get a brand new Motorola C115 plus a case and a bunch of minutes for $35, but if you know Spanish you should be able to get better deals.

This area is also home to the sex clubs like Oasis and Life Girls, plus the independents in the Veneto. This is right in the middle of everything you would want to do, and there are a bunch of hotels within a few blocks for just about any budget. There was a guy standing across the street from the Veneto handing out cards offering service at the Oasis for $50, but I didn't have time to enter. I did take a stroll through the Veneto, and just like the reports said, there are many girls hanging out playing penny slots and looking around. Some of them were pretty, some not so pretty, but it's nice to know they're there if you need them.

A couple of blocks down there is a bridge over the road and underneath there are several bus stops and a bank of telephones. As I walked through this area I noticed a bunch of pretty younger women standing around and checking me out. I have had more than one expatriate tell me that every woman in Panama is probably available, so if that is the case these are good hunting grounds.

i just returned from a two week trip to panama and costa rica.

here are some of my observations:

this was my first trip to panama, although i have been to costa rica many times.

panama - i was in several locations in panama: panama city, colon, david, puerto armuelles, and paso canoas.

i was pretty impressed with panama. yes it was warm, but i found a nice hotel in pamama city with a nice swimming pool. the latino hotel - $ 20. 00 per night, chica friendly-no chica fees, and centrally located.

roads in panama - way better than costa rica. the panamerican highway is just like the 'best super interstate system' in the usa.

the women - saw lots and lots of them all over the place in panama city.

seems like most of the gals were in or around the casinos. ......the veneto and the fiesta casino. they were just standing around like at the entrance to the lounge at the fiesta casino. sometimes they would be in groups of 6 - 7 or more. you could easily approach them and start talking to them, if you knew some spanish, but many of them spoke good english too.

i met a nice gal named lily, age 24, from columbia. we negeoaited the price for 1 hour for $ 40.00 and then went by taxi to my hotel - the latino hotel.
had an enjoyable session with her, and then she left by taxi, and i went to bed.

she gave me one of her cards, which simply said "lily" with her cell phone number. 6628-9241.
and also "acompanante total discresion" printed on the card.
on a 1- 10 scale she was about a 7-8 in looks, and about a 5 in sexual satisfaction.

manolo's restaurant -
a good place to eat & to pick up ho's .........

i ate several times here and had pretty good food, with moderate prices. and i also discovered that around 9 pm. the chicas start coming in an setting at the tables (outside - on the patio ).
you can stroll down the sidewalk and stop and chat with them as you go by. they are "working" and will want to meet you, and this is a great informal place to 'pick them up' for a date to take them back to your hotel. the general going rate should be about $ 40-50. 00 per hour.

mp's- only went to one- downtown- the osasis massage parlor. $ 35. 00 up front fee - 30 minutes. then you negeoaite with your gal for perhaps another $ 30-40. 00 for full service. bj & sexo. so the total will be about $ 75. 00. i visited it a couple of times, but did not participate here. there were 7-8 girls working when i stopped by.

hablanos (sp)- panama city ..... cigar shop and bar:

there is an outside patio area (across the street from the mariott hotel).
this is a local hangout for many ho's....especially the gals from columbia.
they are seemingly stuck on themselves.....and also on their price of "cien por una hora".
go there, take a look, have a drink on the patio, and then move on to 'greener pastures'.

food- the food in panama, especially in the restaurants is really cheap compared to costa rica.

examples= hamburger - 50 cents; french fries - 50 cents; coffee or tea- 30 cents; american style breakfast w/ eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice, & coffee or tea, - $ 2. 00; a typical meal of chicken, potatoes, or rice/beans and salad is around $ 1. 50-2. 00- most of the smaller restaurants.
restaurant food in panama seemed to be about 30-40 % cheaper than similar fare in costa rican restaurants.

taxi's - you could go just about anywhere (except the airport) for only
$ 1. 00.

hotels in panama :
good 2-3 star hotels were about $ 20. 00. some with pools too in this price range.

panama city - hotels :
stayed at the hotel costa inn for the first night - $ 20.00, (no visitors allowed) but moved next day to hotel latino w/a pool- which i liked better for $ 20.00. chica friendly, no chica fees.

david, panama - i stayed at the hotel alcala. chica friendly, no chica fees, real clean, and above average - $ 20.00.
others in david - hotel occidental - (two gringo friends were staying there in the same room for only $ 14.00 total-for both.)

before leaving the us, i had made in inquiry with the hotel marparaiso, as they had free airport pickup (which would have saved $ 25-28. 00 on the airport taxi ride). but did not reserve or confirm a room with them, when i found out that they did allow 'visitors' in the rooms.

never-the-less. when i got off the plane in panama city. there was a guy waiting for me, from that hotel with my name on his card at the airport when i landed in panama city. guess they were hungry for business.......but it was speculation on their part to send their van and driver to pick me up at the airport.

i had met a fellow on the plane, who sat next to me, and he had a rental car and had offered me a free ride into panama city i would deliver me at my hotel - the costa inn. he was from new jersey, but had been born and raised , in panama city. .....later moving as a young man to the usa. he had 'family' still in panama city. thanks rock for the free ride...........

goods - clothing and shoes were way cheaper than similar goods in costa rica.
i bought a pair of size 12 shoes (loafers) in colon that were made in the usa for only $ 7. 00. (and it's hard to find a size 12 shoe in any central american country. ) they have smaller feet - i guess).

casinos - panama city......the veneto casino and the fiesta casino (only ones i visited) will rival many of the good casinos in las vegas, for sheer size and plushness.

and i particullary enjoyed playing the penny slots.......putting in a dollar in the slot machines (panama city) and getting 100 credits ( at 1 penny per credit) to play the slot. that's 100 'pulls' for a buck....if you do it right. ((( the best you will do in costa rica is 25 cent or 100 colone slots....with only 4 'pulls per $ 1.00 there.........

i also got free drinks while playing the slots (of course) and also actually got credit slips (from those machines....they are nicer and newer slot machines than in costa rica ) for a total of about $ 15.00 in winnings.....for only a one dollar investment. and i did cash those in....as i can gamble, but can simply walk away and quit at any time.....
really i only gamble on the slots for the free drinks........

ho's - most i paid was $80. 00 in the city of david. for an exceptional local beauty. who looked a lot like angeline jole (the american actress who is brad pitt's lady). with the pouty lips and great body. but the $80.00 included a $ 40. 00 bar fine to take her out for the night from the la esmeralda night club where she worked.

the least i paid. was $ 10. 00 for 10 minutes. this $ 10.00 was for the same young lady at the la esmeralda club in david. we went to her room in the back of the club for a 10 minute quickie. the bouncer/waiter started knocking on her door after 10-15 minutes. but if she likes you. she will let you stay 20-30 minutes for the $ 10. 00. (she is of course hoping for a tip. which is up to you to give or not to give).

i will not reveal this gals name......as i really liked her, and may want to return to david to see her again.....maybe for a real gfe next time.

i actually asked her to accompany me on up into costa rica for the rest of my trip......and she agreed.....but i then decided the next morning not to take her..........as any good schooled englishman would say, " why carry coals to newcastle ".

i will say that one gal from columbia, named luna (from la esmeralda's) ......who was her friend spoke nearly flawless english, and acted as a translator for this gal and i.
and it was really quite ironical that i had been with luna for the $ 10.00 quickie....before finding the second girl a little later on....in the same club the same evening.

if you want to know more about the city of david......then pm - don - "wants to play" ..... on this forum. he is the # 1 proponent of david, panama......and rightly so, as i think it is a real nice place to go.

at la esmeralda's night club in david, i was such a good sport that i even paid $ 10.00 for my taxi driver to get laid there too. he thought that was great....and i probably made a "friend for life" with that gesture. i also picked out my amiga luna, to get the business from me/him so as to give her a small propina for helping me with the spanlish translations. later i also gave her another $10.00 propina for her translating help.

colon- free trade zone:

i found some great prices on hard goods at the "free zone" shopping area in colon, panama also. i did not buy anything there, as we were pressed for time to get on the train back for panama city.
you could really save some hard cash if you wanted to buy small motorcycles, or outboard motors, or such in the "free zone" in colon. i think you could save a lot of money shopping for most everything there.

recommendations-

go to and see the mira flores locks on the panama canal. this was the real highlight of my whole trip. also i would recommend the train between panama city and colon. or vice versa. for $ 22. 00 - one way. a little pricey, but worth the cost, as you get to see a lot of lake gatun and the canal along the way.

town of puerto armuelles. on the beach. just down the road from paso canoas (the frontier - on the border with costa rica).

nothing going on here. except it would be a great place to "get lost" and lay around and drink your life away. and i met 4 gingos there in a bar, who were obviously doing just that.

panama travel:
i flew into panama city from atlanta.....then flew from panama city to city of david via panana air....$ 54.00 ticket......then took the bus from david to paso canoas - on pan american highway, then via bus from the costa rica border (paso canoas) to san isidro (good trip - good roads), then, as i wanted to stop in golfito cr to check out the free trade zone there..... i took the bus to golfito......which was ok....but the part of the trip from dominical to quepos was on a dirt road....and the bus was simply loaded.....stopping every 3-4 minutes to load and unload people.....and that 60-70 mile part of the trip was at a blazing speed of about 5-10 miles per hour.....it simply took forever for that leg of the trip......so if you are planning on making the trip from the panama/cr border at paso canoas via bus........i would suggest an alternate route, if possible, so you don't to have to endure the 'dirt road' leg of the trip from dominical to quepos, cr.

border crossing at paso canoas was pretty 'painless' though....only took about 10 minutes to walk across the border, and get my passport stamped...... with a 'local guide' - whom i tipped with a $ 3.00 propina.
then got on another bus for the trip on into costa rica.

some people had previously expressed that they had had bad experiences crossing the border at paso canoas. that it had taken a long time and that they were hasseled along the way.......my trip ,on the contrary , was very pleasing....crossing there....no problems at all......and very quick.

i also picked up some information from others who have 'been there - done that' ....that you can go to paso canoas.......after you have been in costa rica for your alloted 90 days.......but if you go on the 88th or 89th day....then you can get your passport stamped.....and do not have to spend the extra three days in panama......you simply go, get your papers stamped, and then turn around and leave the same day (all within the law) ..........this will be great for future trips .....if and when i decide to move to central america.

next time i will go via bus from paso canoas to san jose......then on over to jaco beach from san jose......and not try to go up the pacific coast of cr.

my final thoughts on panama:

in general from my observations i think you will get "more bang for the buck" in panama than in costa rica.

Nice report. The observations about Pan vs. CR prices really resonates. I spent 3 weeks in CR recently, mostly San Jose, and I had price shock, after having spent 3 months in Pan. And San Jose was also palpably more dangerous than PTY... unsafe at night, razor wire everywhere. But #1 reason I left there was, my cash burn rate was so much higher than I-d grown used to throughout Panama (including the month I spent in David area).

The benefit of these women is the frequency of the relations. The rate is higher on the club girls than the independents.

The independents of $20.00 could be found nearby a place called "Loteria". Just tell taxista about Loteria and they now where to go. At night these area could be dangerous, better go before 10:00 p.m.

I changed hotels from the Hotel Montreal to the Hotel Benidorm on Ave. Peru y Calle 29. $20 a night single, no chica fees, cold a/c, hot water, convenient location within walking distance of casinos, supermarkets, internet, restaurants, etc. The neighborhood looks rough, but I find it doesn´t feel physically threatening here at all. Just keep your street smarts and everything should be okay.

This area is home to many of the hotels mentioned in earlier posts as places to find local semi pros. Within a few blocks are such hotels as Dos Mares, San Remo, Soloy, Veracruz, Acapulco, and maybe a dozen more. I haven´t seen any streetwalkers like in the US, but occasionally notice girls sitting on park benches who will look up and smile as you walk by. There are always pretty girls waiting at bus stops, but it´s difficult to tell if they are wanting company or waiting for the bus.

I went to the Balboa Yacht Club for happy hour yesterday afternoon and it felt like a jerk-off fantasy for Jimmy Buffett fans. A bunch of old Americans in hawaiian shirts sitting around drinking wine and yelling over loud classic rock. An old post on ISG said there were tables of locals sitting around to be picked up, but the only Panamanians were all at one table and they appeared to be couples.

Just came back from PTY and was pleasently surprised. After researching the forum contacted $bill for his cab contact. It turn to be awesome, a true street concierge. The guy knew Panama in & out. During the day we went everywhere (tourist areas) and at night we hit the bars. We started at La Mayor, a locals bar/strip place with cheap drinks and cheap women. Average talent but great for the price. I ended with a light skin Haitian great body and face good talent upstairs. She needed just better oral skils. A solid 8.5 overall and the cost a whoping $20.00 for 1/2 hr room included. The place is open 24 hrs. The girls were from 6 to 8.5. I felt safe at all times.

Alex, the cabbie took me to approx 6 other similar bars all over the city. My top choice was a place call Capri. It was a classy strip bar with great talent. The prices were $34.00 per 1/2 hr and $71.00 for 1 hr. This is the non locals prices. It is 1/2 price for Panamenians. I did not see any girl under 7.5 and there were mostly 8.5 and above. Most of them were from Colombia. The rooms are where the girls live so they are well kept and very nice. All girls wear uniforms. Every 20 minutes there is a strip show.

I just returned from a trip to Panama and Costa Rica.

I spent about 3 days in Panama City and then flew to the city of David.

I enjoyed both places and will go back.

I did not have time to visit or check out any of the beach areas in Panama. I am interested in obtaining information about the beaches. Especially those close to Panama City.

What are the names. Where are they in relation to Panama City. Are they well delveloped. Like for lots of houses, stores, tourists, or they still pristine and undeveloped.

I am planning at least one more trip to Panama for more investigation, before possibly trying to move there, and particulary would like to get some information about the beaches. Information about the beach areas South of Panama going towards Columbia,would probably be better for me than info. about beaches to the North of Panama City. .....but whatever you know about will be fine.....as I am interested in locating near a beach area.

As for the beaches steve, there are many, Ill mention the most famous ones. The closest one is at 30-45 mins drive across the America's Bridge over the canal, I dont recommend it at all. Its just a hang out on sundays for most of the regular working class(middle-middle/low class)

The good beaches are a good 1-11/2 hours drive. There are none viable near the columbian side.
The names are plenty:
Gorgona - very developed, full comodities around, hotels, supermarkets, etc.
Coronado - high class beach a little closed to normal citizens, there's an hotel, golf camp, condo's, you name it. just 20 minutes after gorgona.

San Carlos - 20 to 40 mins after coronado. Full facilities around the beaches.

After that, the rest of the beaches are way inside the countryside, around 2 or more hours driving, most of them might require a good 4x4 vehicle to access and mostly frequented when there are surf contest since those beaches are very famous for the waves the names are:

Venao
St Catalina
Teta

My pop rate with condoms is lower than yours - it sucks. I've heard a number of suggestions:

1. Put on lube before condom - I haven't found this to help but other guys have.

2. Try custom fitted condoms (condomania.com) - I haven't tried this, but some posters have suggested theay are a big improvement

3. Non-latex condoms eg Durex Avanti - I have found these feel much better. Problem is they are apparently not proven to prevent transmission of STD's including HIV

4. You might look at "Safe Sex in Thailand" thread here is ISG - may be more suggestions there

I don't use American condoms anymore because they are too thick to feel the body heat and the extra thickness cuts down on sensitivity. I even tried the expensive Natural Lamb condoms but they weren't any better in my opinion.

I started using Japanese condoms like Crown, Beyond Seven, and Kimono and like them MUCH better than American brands. You can find them online for $5 / ten condoms, or less if you buy sampler packs or in bulk.

the hotel benidorm is a nice budget hotel located right off ave. peru y calle 29 between the fiesta and caribe casinos in the calidonia neighborhood. for $20 a night you get good beds, showers with hot water, air conditioning and a porno channel on the color tv. the hotel is chica friendly and even has a special with a room for 2 hours only $10. the location is very convenient, but because the diablo rojos have a stop right outside the hotel it is incredibly loud from 6am until after midnight. there is an internet cafe, an okay italian restaurant, and the machetazo supermercado all within a block. on the streetcorner there is a guy who works with the diablo rojos who can get you a pretty girl if you want for about $20 plus a buck or two for his tip.

the san remo is two blocks from the benidorm on (i believe) ave. cuba and calle 31 and rooms run $20 a night. the bed is comfy and the shower is as good as any marriott, it is much quieter than the benidorm and is convenient to two parks where local girls hang out after dark. there is a sign above the front desk that says "no visitors" right beside a big box with condoms for sale. i had several visitors to the room and the lady at the front desk never said a word. there is a restaurant right next door that has really good sopa de pollo and other pretty good light food for cheap.

around the block on calle 30 between the hotel dos mares and the hotel acapulco there is a nice bar and restaurant with a really good internet cafe upstairs. you can sit at the tables under umbrellas and drink cold panama beer for a buck, and as it gets close to sundown you'll see pretty girls gather at the payphones across the street. these girls will smile if you notice them and will come over if you call them. $20 or so will do the trick, and being kind to them will be greatly appreciated. there are flirtatious **** girls here so be careful.

the hotel costa azul is in the quiet bella vista neighborhood on calle 44. rooms are $20 a night with hot water, cold a/c, and comfy beds. some of the rooms are better than others, so ask to find a room you like. the neighborhood is residential and has nothing much to do, but is only about 3 minutes by taxi from the veneto in el cangrejo. the hotel is about 4 blocks from via espana, right across the street from the los arcos and three blocks from the riba smith supermercado, which has an excellent cafeteria-style restaurant where you can eat large for $8 or less. there is no chica fee and the staff is really friendly and helpful, and will complement you on your taste in women as you walk your chica out to get her a taxi.

After figuring out where some of the main casinos and night clubs were, I visited Oasis. I got there well before their $50 Lunch time special was over. I asked what times the special is for, and the answer was something like Noon to 4. I selected a lady, paid the $50, and was quite satisfied to hear the call of ""Completo" go out to my chosen lady, Vanesa. Vanesa is a beautiful Panamanian woman, soft spoken, graceful and very sexy. After we were done she offered me more - a $40 tip for a CBJ, or $20 for HJ. I didn't have the money with me and refused. Elberto, that was some nice information about local parks being a good spot to meet women at night. I think I know one of the parks you mean. There's one big one on Ave. Cuba within a few blocks of Hotel Andino (at Calle 35) that I kept passing.

I checked out Habanos and can confirm that every lady there seems to start with a price of $100.

Later I checked out Club Capri. This place seems to be the only great local destination for sex that is far away from downtown panama city. Most of the places that the guys on this forum talk about are within around a 20 minute walk of each other. I had no idea that Life, Elite, Oasis, El Panama, Veneto, etc. were all so close to each other til I went to Panama City and saw it myself.

The taxistas all seem to know Club Capri, though some want to charge $3 for the ride. I always paid $2. Am I paying the going rate or should I be paying $1 or $1.50, I wonder?

I bargained with the Colombianas at Capri, but never found any lady with the faintest urge to budge from the $36 price. I kept saying how I had a local friend who paid less, but they insisted the lower price is for Panamanian Citizens only. Most of the women were very do-able, but I think I misjudged my Colombiana. We had sex, but it felt too rushed and I didn't come.

Later, hooked up with a streetwalker right next door to Oasis at the food court. She asked for $40 and I countered with $30. She accepted, but then spent our time together complaining about the low pay. Our sex was good. In the end I paid her $30 plus a $10 tip.

After this I headed to Colombia for a few weeks. See my posts in the Cartagena and Bogota sections. In short, I thought Cartagena was excessively touristy and money-oriented, but loved Bogota. Bogota was terrific! Massage parlor sessions with happy endings start at just over $10.

I returned to Panama City a few weeks later for 1 night before I flew away. I had 2 of my opinions about Panama City changed from this short one night visit:

1. Hotel Andino isn't as perfect as I'd told everyone on this forum. I saw a few tiny cockroaches in the bathroom late at night. Still, so what? The place is a bargain at $20/night.

2. Club Capri can give you an excellent experience depending on how you lead up to it. I arrived on a Saturday night to find perhaps 20 ladies there. I talked with 3 or 4 until I met one who seemed right. I told her that I didn't like my first experience at Capri, and wanted my second to be better. She seemed right for the situation. She did hurry me to make up my mind and come with her to her room, but it didn't feel like she was hustling me, just doing business. Her name was Estrella, from Cali, and she showed me a great time!! Viva Colombia!

I went to La Mayor in the Chorillo area near the "El Mercado". The area is pretty rough looking, and I had heard not to go to that part of town, but I was with a Panamanian friend who told me there was no problem.

We took a taxi for $1.25 from Bella Vista. The cover is $2 per person and the price includes a ticket for a drink. There is a stage where strippers dance and we were there about an hour and only saw one bored girl dance to two songs, get naked, then leave.

There were about 20 guys seated around the stage, and several of the tables had okay looking girls sitting with the men. Most of the girls were back in a corner hidden from everyone. None of them were very attractive, but I finally picked out two I would have done.

My friend called the waiter over to verify the price $10 for 15 minutes. I then motioned to my first choice, an older Colombiana with big boobs. My friend asked the price and she said for him it was $10, but since I was an American my price would be $30. I told her "no thanks" and sat back down.

After a while I called over my second choice, but before we could talk about price my friend pointed out the first girl was yelling at a manager or something about me talking to the second girl. My friend said she was trying to cause a scene. We finished our beers and left.

I found the local girls outside the clubs to be very pretty for the most part and very happy to meet a nice American, so there's really no reason to waste your time getting ripped off at the clubs.

Over the weekend I decided to scout out the action in the area. With a road map in hand, (akin to the place-mat map to the attractions you get @ Disney, best I could get my hand on!), I drove out to the Dorado area. From what I saw, this is a pretty commercial/residential area, lots of strip malls and apt. bldgs. and even a mall, (Dorado). I recieved this info from my novia in Colombia who is an ex Life Girls employee. She is in contact with some other girls who work there.

Oasis is basically right next to Veneto. It is basically an MP but they do offer outcall service. I have only used the MP service. The costs vary on the time of day and possibly a coupon on their site. They do not have more than a handful of girls working at any time so your selection is limited. 1. hell if i know. respectfully, pumping money into slot machines in panama is not a good strategy for increasing your wealth. and that's being kind.

2. this i do know something about. if you are going to be spending your time in panama city, do not rent. taxis are cheap. the drivers are crazy, and most of the cars have dings. it's often difficult to find or get to where you want to go. on several occasions, i've paid taxi drivers to let me follow them in my rent car to my destination. when i'm in the city i prefer to leave the car in the hotel lot and take cabs. the only reason i can think of to have a car is to better utilize the love hotels.

however, if you are going to leave the city, i would rent if it doesn't break your budget. it beats taking the bus. i have rented from hertz and avis on multiple occasions, and hertz has been much more reliable. i'll happily pay a premium for hertz. make sure you've got a good spare tire and a jack. the panamerican highway has a ton of pot holes, and is hell on tires. pay attention to the speed limit. this is particularly important if you have a colombian hooker with an expired visa with you, as the police may check her papers if you're stopped. i've spent a grand total of maybe 2 months in panama, and have gotten stopped by the traffic police for speeding maybe 5 times. i haven't gotten stopped once in the u.s. in the last 5 years.

to answer your questions, my experience driving in rural panama was about like costa rica, only with more potholes in panama, and i think it's relatively safe if you're careful -- not as safe as the u.s. though.

Just back from a two week trip to Panama and Costa Rica. I need to rest up from the trip before typing and adding reports for my trip.

I have what I think are some intersting insights about Central America that I wish to contribute. But need a day or so to 'clear my head' before posting.

I met a very nice and likable fellow last week in San Jose who told me that he on several occasions had three girls at one time while in Jaco Beach. Paying each of them $100. 00 a piece for their company.

That is all well and good, but for me out of the question. Because I am simply not that wealthy.

I did have two gals once on this trip and paid them $50. 00 each for a couple of hours. So I am not all that cheap. But again I do try to watch my expenses. So that I can stay longer and be able to experience more while still paying less for the priviledge.

Like the working girls in Cen. America. Who all want 'Cien". $ 100. 00 to 'do the deal'. Many of them go home each night with nothing - "nada". While others who are willing to offer themselves for a less, and are willing to take $40. Or $50. 00. Can still maintain and pay their bills when they will "work" for less. It's good to remember that there is a lot of competition in the marketplace. And if one prices himself or herself out of the market. Then one may not be able to make 'ends meet', when all is said and done.

My two week trip to Central America cost me in excess of $1800. 00 - perhaps more like $2000. 00. So there is not that much left in my "kitty". For now.

I visited Le Palace on the 11th of July. Just got around to posting my experience today.
When I was there with some friends, there weren’t many men ( about 14)but there were about 30 fit women and more arriving as the night went on. I recently returned from a 2 week trip to Panama and Costa Rica.

Here is my segment for Panama:

I flew into Panama City from Atlanta on Delta Airlines. I had previously made a reservation for my first night in Panama City at the Hotel Marparaiso because they simply have the best deal going in PTY - in my opinion. And that is when you make a reservation ($22. 00 for a single room, with A/C, hot water, color TV, double bed, etc.) they will pick you up at the Airport for FREE. Normal taxi charge for this trip is about $ 27-28. 00 into town. So that is a real good deal.

I did this, and sure enough, when I walked out to the street from the airport in PTY there was a guy with my name on his Hotel Marparaiso card. We picked up one other passenger and headed for town. And again guys this is a a free ride.

This hotel has about 50-60 rooms, was in a nice neighborhood, well appointed, everything nice and clean, with a restaurant, and all in all a real good experience. Next time I go back to Panama City. I plan to do exactly the same ......stay at least my first night at the Hotel Marparaiso - to get the free shuttle from the airport to town (Panama City).

Next night I opted to move over to the Hotel Latino. My old haunt. $ 20. 00 rooms, swimming pool, no chica fees, restaurant, A/C and the whole smere.

If you want to find a little action, and don't know the city or where to go,then simply ask for Javier, one of the knowledgeable taxi drivers who hangs around this hotel, he will drive you anywhere for a reasonable price, and will also turn you on to some of the working girls who are living or staying around this neighborhood.
I never gave him any money for this service, as pimping is illegal in most of the Cen. American countries. But he will line them up for you and arrange for them to meet you in the small lobby of the hotel. There is also 24 hour staff at the front desk, and they (Marisa and the other desk clerks ) never, never say anything to you about bringing any of the girls up to your room or to take them to the pool, or anything. And that is a very nice touch, as I surely don't like to be hasseled by the hotel staff about Chicas coming over, and I also do not like to pay anything extra in the way of a Chica fee - which many of the hotels have now gone to.

Javier found a very nice young Colombiana for me named Jenny. Just as sweet and loving as she could be, and also very accomadating too, and about an 6 or 7 in looks and figure. Jenny stays just around the corner from this hotel in one of the Residential Habitiones (sp) places. Espanol for small hotels or rooming houses available either by the hour or for the whole night. I believe the rooms there were about $ 8-10. 00 per night. And many, many of the girls from out of town stay in this type of place. And I suppose if your budget ditated it, you could also stay there......if you were trying to save some $$$$ on hotels.
You would not have to look very far or hard to find an available Chica - if you did. There is also a local Tico type bar next door to this place which looks like it would have a few working girls say around 10-11 or 12 midnight.

There is also another Residentual Hotel place right next door to the Hotel Latino, with airconditioned rooms for $ 5. 00 per hour. Perfect for bringing a Chica. If say your larger hotel does not allow visitors. Which many do not. I stayed before in the La Costa Inn in PTY. A nice hotel with very small rooms, and also. No visitors allowed.

I of course went to the Veneto Casino, and also the Fiesta Casino. I like the 1 penny slot machines there, as you can play for perhaps an hour or so for a buck, and get free drinks too. There are many, many independent girls working out of these two casinos. Most of the ones I talked to were from Colombia. Some real winners, 8's; 9's and perhaps even a 10 or too. At times. It's not hard to spot them either. Just keep your eyes open and you will see working gals all over the place. Chat them up a bit, and you can be off to your hotel in a taxi in just a few minutes with a nice Chica on your arm. Usually for around $ 40. 00 per hour. Which seems to be the going rate. During the 'green season'.

I am planning on retirement within the next year in either Costa Rica or Panama. And was looking for a suitable place to land. Find an apartment or small house. My last day in town (actually I was in Panama City the week before. Then to Costa Rica. Then back to Panama City) I rented a car from Her-z. Fill in the blanks. I was not impressed with this company. They are rather high priced, but I got them to let me have a economy car for $ 17. 95 a day, plus $12. 00 manatory insurance, plus unbeknownest to me beforehand. An $8. 00 dropoff fee to leave the car at the airport the next day. So all total $ 39. 95 a day for the car plus I burned about $ 25. 00 in gas going out to the beaches at Punta Chame; Coronado, San Carlos, another one or two that I can't remember, and then finally turning around at Rio Hato.

What I found was very small beach towns, no action to speak of, and mostly all the beaches were pretty much privately controlled by very wealthy folks with the big homes in the 1 to 2 millon dollar range, and they had most all the access roads to the beaches marked 'private property - no access'.

So I did not find a single place that I could 'call home' or anything that looked at all promising for me. And I drove almost 100 miles North of Panama City in search of a place to rent. It looks like if it's going to be Panama for me, then I will need to make yet another trip for more looking around, or just hang it up and live in downtown Panama City with all the rest of the folks who are there now.

I really like the beach areas better than the cities, and I particullary wanted to have a good sized boat there for fishing in the Pacific. But.

Shopping: A note here on shopping in the Zona Libre - the Free Zone in Colon. Yes they have pretty much everything you would ever want there. But case in point. I had seen on a previous trip a China-made 125cc small motorcycle for only $500. 00. I went there my first day in town thinking that I would be able to buy one of these bikes and then be able to use it to tour around Panama for 8-10 days.

No such luck. By the time they added in the cost of the paperwork, and the taxes (and I thought the whole idea of the Free Zone - was that there were not supposed to be any taxes), then I was looking at plunking down in excess of $850. 00 for this bike. (((Although admittidly, this very same bike is going for over $ 1, 000. 00 with all necessary paperwork to be legal in San Jose CR.))) I simply said, "no thanks", and went on my way.

I have heard it said that Panama is 15 to 20 years behind Costa Rica in the tourist industry. And I pretty much believe that now. It seems to me that prices are cheaper in Panama than Costa Rica. You will get more 'bang for your buck' almost anywhere in Panama now than anywhere similar in Costa Rica.

For example: Dinner At Pizza Hut: A small pizza, salad, and a coke in a San Jose CR Pizza Hut cost me over $ 13. 00 for the meal. Same exact meal in Panama City cost me exactly $ 4. 10. You be the judge. They are doing this in Costa Rica now, because they have learned to do it, and they know that most Gringo's won't even notice or care, one way or the other. Going price for a Coca-Cola in CR is 500 colones, or $ 1. 00. They are 50 cents or less - all over Panama.

My personal daily expenses were around $ 125. 00 per day, (excluding my airfair) and I stayed 2 weeks on this trip. So I dropped a pretty good bunch of change.

I know many, many other Gringo's (with much deeper pockets than mine) are probably spending 2 to 3 or 4 times that amount per day. Especially if they are frequent guests at the Del Rey Hotel in San Jose adding up a Chica or two everyday, plus hotel, plus food, plus drinks, plus a little gambling, etc.

So it's not particullary cheap to go to Central America anymore. But then again if you can't afford it, then you better stay home in the US, and save your dough.

I went again to David, Panama via Air Panama out of PTY. I found out that if you look old enough (like at or around 60 years of age) that you can tell the clerks at the airport. That you would like to get the Pensionado or reduced senior citizen price. I have done this twice and got my ticket of $ 72. 00 reduced to only $ 49. 00 from PTY to David. Also did it in San Jose CR going back to Panama City and got the reg. Fare price of $ 144. 00 adjusted to $ 106. 00 simply by asking for it.

They want to see your Pensionado card. Which of course, I did not have, but if you will smooze a bit and use a soft non-threating tone of voice (don't come off as a typical Ugly American) this can go a long, long way in helping you get the 'best deals in Central America' or anywhere for that matter.

Trust me, this will not work with any of the major US carriers like Delta, American Airlines, or Soutwest Air, etc. As I have tried it to no avail with them.

David Panama is a petty nice town. I only wish it was closer to a more developed, and good beach. It's really only about 20 miles or so to the Pacific from David, but when you get there - 'there ain't nothing there'except a brackish river that flows into the Pacific, and little else.

Club Esmeralda in David, is a pretty good local Tico type of night club. I was there on two separate occasions on this trip and there were about 12-13 gals working from 8 PM until 3 AM. Sometimes until 5 AM. On weekends,

There were a few in the 6-7 range. But no real 'stunners' this time. But for only $ 10. 00 for 10 minutes - you can get a massage, or BJ or sex in the girls room in the back, and it is hard to beat this deal. $20. Or $30. 00 will get you more time of course, and then it's nice to give your gal a small propena -tip when you leave. They will also come with you at your request at anytime during the evening to your hotel but you have to pay the barman a $40. 00 bar fine for this. Plus then the girl will usually want from $ 40-to $50. 00 too.

Best deal is to have them drop by your hotel during the daytime, say around 2-3 PM for an 'afternooner' and then there is no extra $40. Barfine.

There are a couple of other night clubs in David, but one is so expensive that I do not recommend it, and the other is way out in the 'sticks' and you won't find anything worthwile there at all except a few old, well past-their-prime putas that should have perhaps retired from the profession 10-12 years ago.

White Horse is the name of the pricey club, and I believe the other one (low end one) is call Paradise.

If you can find and hook up with David's # 1 proponent - Dr. Don - aka - Want To Play- on this forum, then he will steer you onto some real good things in the David area. He is a very frequent visitor, and knows pretty much all the good 'shit going on' in David. He also is a very busy guy, and hard to find at times.

One last note about Panama. I have yet to visit the Bocas del Toro area of Panama, and believe that that is where I should go next to see if I can find suitable digs' for me.

Below is a report from a recent 3 day trip to Panama City:

Hotel:
Stayed at the Hotel Montreal. The hotel is nothing fancy, but very economical running about $27 per night. No chica fee. They also have a little bar and restaurant. I ate there one night and the food was good.

Massage:
Oasis- Very close to the Venito casino. All colombians. I wound up visiting on Sunday night and only about 5 girls there.

Golden Times- Also visited on a Sunday night, and they had close to 20 girls in there. All colombia. Not bad looking girls, so you should find what you are looking for.

Discos:
Exit Disco- Cost $15 to get in. Very popular on the weekends, but too crowded and loud for me to pick up anything there. There are girls waiting outside that look like they want someone to pay their entarnce fee. Non pros can be had at this place if you can speak spanish.

Bodeguita- I would recommend this place. Mixture of pros and non pros. Also mixture of panamanian and colombian. No cover fee.

Moods- $10 cover. Lots of non pros in this place. Good for eyecandy, but I would still recommend the cheaper option Bodeguita for picking up girls.

Strip clubs:

La Palace- It cost $7 a beer, but you get a chance to look at some hot colombians in there.

Elite- $25 cover fee, but all you can drink. Another place that has some hot colombians.

Bars:

Habanos- Across the street from Marriott. Great place to have a cigar and speak with pros roaming around in the area. Perfect place to start the night.

Un-Plugged- I really like this place. It's on Calle Uruguay up the street from Bodeguita. This is set up as a rock and roll bar with album covers from the 70's all over the walls.

There is also a bar across the street from Moods that is pretty good. Plays alot of 80's music on the weekends, and has a band. There are many bars in this area that I did not have time to explore.

The asking price seems to be set at $100 for around two hours. I usually negotiated down to around $80, but it takes some good conversation. In LaPalace and Elite, the going rate seems to be stuck at $200. It will cost you around $300 if you try to take them out of the club. You're better off trying to find a quality colombians just roamimg around habanos or venito casino.

Taxis will run you $2. It is very hot during the day, so taxis are conveinent.

Habanos is located right across the street from the Marriot hotel. As Cattinc said GREAT place to start the evening. I would like the Courtyard but I have read its farther from the action. If anyone knows how to get rooms at these places at lower prices, I would appreciate any links. You may consider the Crown Plaza (.http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/pc/1/en/hd/panhb). It's next to Hotel Panama and Venneto and a very short walk to where all the action is. During my stay, I kept my bussiness on the low, so I was not bothered taking anyone to my room. It is quite safe to walk around those areas. There is always going to be someone looking for a handout; just mean what you say, keep walking and ignoring the pleas at night. All these places have highly visible security, so you will feel safe even walking around nearby.

The Courtyard is definitely away from the action, but a cheap taxi ride.

No problem bringing girls into the Marriott. Just remember that you are in a nice hotel where most of the guest are there for other business. Act accordingly.

Read Spidermonkeys reports on guest fees at El Panama. He made "friends" with the security guards.

I am interested in what is going on now at Veneto. I don't have recent info.

Read my reports from last November. I felt very safe walking around as late as 5:00 in the morning in the areas you described. Just don't flash cash or a lot of jewelry. Walk confidenly and you will have no problem.

I stayed in the Veneto last week for 4 days. I had some friends here so I was in and out the hotel and arranged everything for them. Ok, this is for everyone here but lets try to keep it in the family.

Getting a discount room at the Veneto hotel:

Call the hotel and tell them that you need to speak to the manager of reservations. I knew her name but it was WAY to hard to pronounce or remember, but she does speak english. Tell her you have an extremely important client coming to town and that you have a corp and business here in panama. She will ask you the name of the guest, dates etc. I did that very thing, and was able to get a per day rate of 89 bucks when normally I think the veneto is about 140ish per night. Obviously I am not saying this is a for sure thing, but it worked for me and someone else I know.

Do not stay at the Courtyard its not "way out" but you are better off at the Veneto, El panama, Crowne plaza. You can walk around, just use common sense, and the Veneto is girl friendly, as least everytime I have stayed there. Dont know about the others.

Well , I just came back from Panama stayed for 2 weeks, mongering and boozing.

Is tipping expected or do girls ask for a tip at these places? If anyone has any comments about tipping, please share your views.

My daily night rutine was Havanos, Casino Veneto, and Club Capri.
I found Capri a nice place and cheap the variety of girls were awesome. I fucked 4 girls down there $36 for 20 minutes to half hour, panamanian pay $31.
