This will short and sweet, had another great trip to Medellin, picked a great weekend to arrive. Did the Halloween party a Mangos on Friday, the 50 cent concert on Saturday and the Classico party on Sunday. Two of those nights I was accompanied by the hottest Colombian girl I have ever met in Medellin!
Couple of things, big shout out to Marcy whose helpfullness is only surpassed by her sexyness and I must add that nobody and I mean NOBODY swears as sexy as she does! Damn! If she ever gives up on those Spanish boys, she is always welcome on the dark side
The security situation at the mansion has definatly been dealt with. The new guy (I forget is name) is on his game and is also very helpful and a nice guy.
The girls that visit the Mansion continue to be top notch. The average price appeared to be between 125K and 150K, I'm sure some paid more and some paid less. In any case just gorgeous girls. A tip here, if you don't speak spanish just bring alchohol and/or food out to the patio and you will be every girls' friend LOL!
Had a little football pool going on the Pittsburg Washington game, Pittsburg won by a blowout so we knew given the historical trends of these games that Obama was going to win the election the next day by a landslide! And of course he did!
Finally, we had the squirting display on Sunday, I will say it was fast and furious and something that must be seen, I swear I thought Greg was going to drown when that water shot out of that girl it was priceless!. I personally have not seen ANTHING like that, it was like a garden hose being turned on LOL! I think rooms in the Mansion should come with a plastic covering to deal with that girl!
Big shout out to all the great guys I met on this trip. When there are cool guys at the Mansion the trip is even that much better and this trip was no exception. Not sure when I'll be back but it will be soon.

I was at the Mansion a month or two ago and was paying $120K, and think I overpaid. When did it get as high as $150K?
It seems to me you need to kick those chicas out and move on. I'll be back over the holidays and my goal is to get them down to $100K. Terminas were running $80K on my previous visit, so that seems an appropriate margin for coming to me instead of the other way around. Darn, the occasional gem in centro can still be found for $40K, can't she?
I am completely with you on Marcy. Great girl.
I was just down at the Mansion for a week ending Nov 1.
I ditto Sexmetv in that the security situation has been taken care of.
Also, despite the fact that lots of the mansion girls from times past have moved on, there always seems to be plenty of quality talent available.
I hate that I missed the squirt party, but alas someone has to keep the skies safe for the mongeri. Ummm. Flying public.
I want to thank Greg and Robert and Marcy for taking great care of us as usual, especially Greg as he moved out of his room for me and everything.
As is usually the case, there were plenty of fun people, both old and new to me, to hang out and swap stories with. I think that's one of the main benefits of staying at the mansion.
I will be headed back down to kick Greg out of his sweet room again on dec 2.
I hope some of you are down there to join in the fun.

Please reply.Pauline was dead in bed. Also, she is photogenic but not really that beautiful. You will find many mansion "visitors" better looker than Pauline.
My recommendation will be to rely on freindly advice of Greg in selecting the girl. Greg is amazingly forthright--so much so that it takes getting used to. But once you get to know him, he is better than your lost friend from childhood. I once fell ill in the Mansion and Greg took care of me like an elder brother. Just make sure, he is not out of Medellin during your visit. Mansion is not the same without him.
If your heart is set on Pauline, Greg will seek her too, provided she is in Medellin. But I suspect, you will forget all about Pauline once you see other visitors.

Just returned home from my maiden voyage to the Mansion, had a great time. The staff was wonderful and I would like to especially thank Greg and Marcy. I had arrived with a challenge that I thought would affect me the 5 days I was there, I needed to take and then document the yellow fever shot in order to return home via Costa Rica. Greg helped me relax when he told me that I'm not the first to be affected, that others had arrived without travel documents indicating the vaccination had been done and he got me off to a clinic my first morning, shot was taken care of, doctor backdated the form (on her own) and after I left a small propina, the rest of my stay went off with minimal hassle.
Loved the girls, especially the couple newer girls that were invited my second night, I really hit it off with a very sweet young lady named Sandra, she's all of 5-feet-f'all and a total gem. I tried to give Greg credit the next day for knowing that she would appeal to me but he'd have none of it. Marcy told me that Sandra is a complete sweetheart who hadn't been there in a while, and for that I was very grateful.
The rest of my time, I spent with Natalia, also introduced by Greg. From the moment she sat down to us becoming great friends was about 5 minutes tops. No word of a lie, Greg introduced her, went back into the kitchen and not 5 minutes later, I was there asking him for restaurant recommendations for me and Natalia (I also took Milena) so I think I showed Greg that I was quite decisive and quick on my feet, which really is the way to be. And in return, I let Greg know how my dinner and subsequent time spent with Natalia and Milena went as there wasn't much known as to how they interact with each other.
Those that want to sit around until every last girl has arrived prior to choosing the hottest usually lose out. For me, it was a case of wanting to have a relaxed time with someone who's company I valued. IMO, Greg went 2-for-2 and as a result has a new customer in me. I'm already sourcing flights for my next visit.
For those wanting to party balls out, Mansion might not be for you. Those wanting to sportfuck may be better served by the casas (which i wish I had hit a couple more of) But for those looking for a clean, safe accommodation with access to some wonderful paisa company, Greg, Robert, Boyd and Marcy will leave no stone unturned to help make it happen.
My last bit of advice is be yourself, learn some Spanish and above all else, treat the girls with respect and kindness as it comes back around tenfold.

Medellin Bob's got 300 acres down near Zaragoza, we went out there the other day and found growing on his land 15, 000 coca plants! The squarters on the land planted them and now the police are spraying the plants.
The farm was growing back to jungle but Bob is starting a clearing program and I'll probley help him with a few acres too, he's interested in growing this bio-fuel plant for the oil and I wouldn't mind running few cattle, plant a few citrus trees and turkeys and try and supply the Mansion, El Castillo with eggs, fruit and vegies y turkeys for Thanksgiving ect.
Even met my new girlfriend in Caucasia.

The subject of Mansion girls has come up on another thread and so I'd like to address that subject here and now.
As I see it, there's no girl called a "Mansion girl" during the day here in the office we would have now at least 10-20 girls call each day wanting to come over to the M to hang out, unless we know them we say no.
The only way a new girl can come to the M is when a girl we already know recomends her younger sister !!!! (must be over 18) and or a close friend, she comes for an interview.
During the interview we see her I.D. and explain to her that its between her and the guest, we can help out with translation but nothing more.
About 7.00pm at night if a girl hasnt teamed up with anybody, we ask her to leave, usually we have girls near the pool from 4.00pm - 7.00pm in the afternoon.
Sunday barbies, no more and will not in the future be bringing them back, thank god, it was to much work.
Now we just watch football americano, hot dogs at 3.00pm and at times have a "water works compertion" or any of the kuff activity that guests would like at that moment, you coukld say, we are not locked into anything !!! which is what I like.
We might bring in a rule that Sunday is just for new or normal girls !! and get away from the *****s for a day, Id like something like that but its up to the powers that be.

I actually had a chance to do one of those interviews. One morning I came down to the front desk and Medellin Bob was interviewing two chicas, former casa workers who wanted to go indy. He looked at me, then to the ladies, and said, "now here's a typical Mansion guest. Gonzo, would you like to continue the interview?"
So I took them into the salon and asked them a few a questions about their lives and why they wanted to work at the Mansion. I also told them, while gringos can be generous, no "somos idiotas, y no seas codiciosa" (we're not idiots, and don't be greedy). It was a lot of fun, and of course, over a matter of two days, did 'em both, had a three-way, etc.
Goes to show that a lot of interesting stuff can happen spontaneously at the Mansion, and though I wouldn't make it a strategy, if you happen to be close to the office or by the front door, you can get first dibs on a newbie cutie that walks in.

If you have any photos to share of these lovely paisas, please do post them. Don't have any of Milena, but IMO she slightly resembles Maggie Gyllenhaal. She's quite shy but like all the paisa ladies, treat them with kindness and they open up, I think Milena has a beautiful smile. Only saw her at the Mansion the one night.
The photo I have of Natalia was from 2 days before my visit and certainly isn't the best, but you can at least tell who I'm talking about, she's the brunette in the white shirt who looks lost in thought. Have kept in touch with her, her friend Katherine and another friend Catalina. Katherine is in the pic but hard to see, she's the brunette in jeans over Natalia's right shoulder. That photo is IMG_1537. The time I spent with Natalia at both Triad (Parque Lleras, recommended by Greg) and the next night at las Palmitas including mucho photos, but she had issues with her sim card and those photos are lost, needless to say I'll be bringing my own camera in February.
I have photos of Sandra from both at the Mansion, first one was taken just after my Mansion cherry had been violated, that's photo IMG_1804, it would be a better photo without the ugly beast she's sitting on, but judging from the smile on my, er, I mean his face. He was pleased. I can't upload the others I have of Sandra as many have guys in them that might not appreciate them being posted. They're clean but I know of 2 guys that were there under false pretenses with the SO's at home so I'm not risking causing trouble for them.
As for Sandra, from what Marcy told me, she's an infrequent visitor yet was there 3 of the 4 nights I was and did a dupla with me and Natalia my last night. Was with Natalia my last 3 nights, the dupla with Milena, solo with her and the dupla with Sandra. In the interests of full disclosure, Sandra is the only girl I had an e-mail for that hasn't written me back, so take that for what it's worth.
I've also uploaded a photo of Andrea and Yessica because they are both so hot, and I'll be asking Greg if they're still welcome when I visit in February. As for how they are in private, I have no knowledge but the night the photo was taken they worked together, since I don't know if that guy posts here and I can't ask him if he minds, I won't post photos with him in them. One thing to always remember to guys visiting for the first time is, it's not like SJO where the girls are hardcore and in your face all the time. Here they're more laid back and when you show interest in talking to them or God forbid watching photos of their hijas on their cell phones, they really open up and you get a feel for their personality and for the most case, they all are wonderfully lively happy loving girls.
Never be hesitant to approach a woman in MDE, they won't tell you to f-off and if you can smile a little and speak a few words of Spanish the experience can be fantastic.

It only happened once to me and my chica respond as yours did but even so it was annoying.

My two cents (probbly not even worth that) is that when I see a new girl at MM, I first check Greg's list to see if she was invited by MM or a guest. If she's on MM's list, I say hello and ask for her phone number, and they've always provided it. That way should/when she gets scooped up I don't have to ask later. And in the future when she's neither invited by MM or a guest I call and request a evening get together. I pay taxi both ways and it works well.
Girl gets work, No one gets offended and I build my personal contact list.
The only trouble is trying to keep all the Sandras, Natalias, Milenas....etc straight in my mind, hence I usually name photos I take by the girls name/number
Not saying this approach will work for everyone, but it has served me very well.

It's been just a few days since I returned from my latest 3 week stunt in Colombia. To say it was a great trip would be an understatement.
I first went to Cali for a week and depending on how this post goes, I will elaborate immensely in detail about that in another report to come shortly.
I spent the last 2 weeks in Medellin in both the Mansion and the Castillo. I met up with my Thailand buddy Flyngo in the 1st week at the Mansion/Castillo and we hit Medellin hard and furious. Taking on all cummers as we saw fit.
I had to give a separate and honorable mentions to the GFE's that Flyngo and I had the chance to encounter.
GFE (Girl Friend Experience) is something many mongers strive for even in the shortest of encounters. In Medellin, sometimes it happens, often times it doesn't. It's not that the girls aren't willing but rather many times it's the Monger that doesn't give a gal any real time to settle in.
But then again there is always that certain girl that just clicks and everything just falls into place.
Oh sure after we leave the girls fall back into their own lives but while we were there, well let's just leave that to our own memories.
Flyngo permitted me to photograph and share his gals pics so kudos to him for his unselfish nature towards his fellow Mongers.

I just got back to NY after a 4 day stay at El Castillo, and I'm already going over my calendar to plan my return trip this summer!
This was my first trip to Colombia, and I honestly don't think I could have made a better move than booking my stay there. Boyd and Greg were real helpful and great hosts. I loved my stay there, in part because it wasn't impersonal and sterile like staying at a hotel. The location and accomodations were top notch and a great price. The staff and maids were there and always willing to help with whatever I needed.
Everyone else staying there was cool too and that made my experience all the better. Much thanks to Boyd, KDog21, Rickers, El Prezzidente and Rags for some good times and great pointers!

i was packing for my upcoming trip to medellin and realized i have no clue what the typical dress is for guys going out at night. my usual vacation lately has been to a beach area (sosua, margarita, ocho rio) so i could get buy with t-shirts and shorts for most days and even at the clubs in the evenings it was light "guayabera" shirts and chinos.
so what do guys tend to wear when they go out in medellin? collared shirts and chinos, i hope. is it worth bringing a sports coat? i hope i won't be expected to wear a tie.

Well, despite all the naysayers the Mansion and Castillo must be doing a lot right, because they are very booked up. I couldn't get five straight days of a preferred room anytime in the next several months, but I have booked 3 days at the Castillo followed by 3 days at the Mansion April 21-26. Despite email and internet phone difficulties Marcy bent over backwards to try and find me what I wanted. Nonetheless, this ex Hollywood guy is going to have to share a bathroom. But Marcy promises me there are going to be some cool people there the weekend of the 24th. 26th. If you're reading I hope to meet you.

MM is a bed and breakfast that invites ladies over to party with their guests and I don't think yours is a post that Greg will respond to. With that said Marcy is the one to give your request to and it should be sent to her on their website, not an open forum like this. By the way, Mangos is a nightclub, not a restaurant and Friday or Saturday are the best nights. Unless you resemble Frankenstein if you want to take a date to Mangos and a nice restaurant like Las Palmalitas (hope I got close on the spelling) which overlooks the city, you will have the ladies lined up for duty. I'm a little surprised at your post since you said that this is a repeat visit. When I was there I didn't want to take a chance on the number of ladies that show up to visit (or their looks) so I asked Marcy for help and had a date lined up for 4 out of my 5 evenings there. I would like to make reservations by tomorrow,so somebody please reply ASAPThere are girls available at Mansion between 1 pm and 7 pm. Price is sort of fixed at 150 K for about 1 + hour with a girl. Generally mansion girls are sure to give you very good time and service quality is for sure. Mansion is like Mc Donalds you are sure about the quality (90 % of the time).
As per girls looks they vary. Only problem is that most beautiful girls at Mansion are generally booked up and they have regular clients doing repeat visits. So arrange for time with girls in advance. Second piece of advice you see a hoty at the Mansion, don't take time to think, just go say Hello, to her and get your business in order because if you take too long to think, she is gone with some one else.
OH yes one last but very important thing "Stay at the Mansion" otherwise don't stay there at all. Castillo is nothing even close to the Mansion experience. Especially when you are paying almost same price.

Made my first trip to Medellin (wonderful) and stayed at both Castillo and The Mansion, so thought I'd share a newbie's perspective on the pros, cons and differences. I have not tried any of the competitors like VIP or Frank's My Place so can't comment on them my comparison is hotels around the world or Valhalla in Phuket (The Mansion blows it out of the water).
First of all, Pros to both places:
The staff were universally friendly and helpful, as were the owners I met (Greg and Robert). I especially appreciated the lead housekeeper at El Castillo and of course the experience wouldn't exist without Marcy, the keystone. A number of staff speak fair to excellent English which is very helpful to those of us linguistically challenged. I also found the other guests to be wonderful company and resources. I have heard that there can be assholes amongst the guests (guess that's true anywhere) and maybe I was just lucky, but I did not meet any assholes, and instead met some very cool people who made my trip much better than it would have been on my own at any "normal" hotel. I did not find the guests too loud, nor did any of them ever butt in on my girl (s). Location: make no mistake, Poblado is NOT typical of Medellin, but that's exactly why many Gringos will find it a good base. It has everything we're used to: ATMs, restaurants from McDonalds to five stars, pharmacies, supermarkets, etc. It is also safe and taxis to the rest of town are plentiful and cheap. Mansion/Castillo are a bit of a hike from Parque Lleras, but I'm not convinced that that's where those seeking P4P want to hang out. Certainely, if you want to live in the "real" Medellin El Centro or mayorista would offer more for less. It depends on what your priorities are. I enjoyed basing in Poblado and venturing out.
El Castillo:
The number one Pro to El Castillo is that you can hang out at the Mansion while you are there (more on that below). It also is quieter than the Mansion, although I never found the Mansion too loud, that's just me. Perhaps it is more discreet, but I still don't think you'd want to bring a non-pro girl there as there are frequently obvious pros hanging around.
Cons: I was extremely dissapointed in the room (#7). There was one window, it is floor to ceiling but faces the street, so the curtains almost always needed to be drawn for privacy. The walls are bare, there is one overhead light (only) which is suitable neither for reading nor romance. The furnishings are crude and limited. The bathroom does have a large stall shower (suitable for two), but again there is only one light and it is very dark. Hot water and clean towels are plentiful, but there are no amenities such as a refrigerator (you can buy beer etc from the kitchen when they are open but late at night you're SOOL). Internet is terrible, although I was right off the main lobby, I had absolutely no WiFi signal in the room. The lobby has a hard wired desktop which is okay, but even there my laptop was spotty and very slow connection. I was told that the problem is the thick walls, but ironically I was getting signals from other buildings (unfortunately password protected). Lobby area is pleasant enough but nothing special. No one used the pool area while I was there. The outside of the building is downright ugly (and sports a for sale sign). Additionally, I had read and been confused by descriptions of the hike up the hill. It is only two blocks above the Mansion, but they are VERY steep blocks and the elevatrion is 5, 000 feet. If (like me) you live at sea level, you will be huffing by the end. The Mansion, by comparison is only a half block off of Poblado Avenue (still steep, but very short) so accessing commercial establishments or cabs (available 24/7 on the Avenue) is very easy. By comparison at Castillo it is necessary to call for a cab and the wait time is unpredictable. But the biggestb problem at Castillo is that you are out of the action. If you want that, it's the place to be (but then maybe you should stay at a hotel). Personally, I would only return if I couldn't get into the Mansion (a common phenomenon). This is not a criticism of Robert, who was doing the management duties while I was there. He was very helpful, to someone slightly shy like me probably more so than Greg, but I was a bit embarrassed to bring my expensive GFE girl there and felt that the physical infrastructure did not justify the prices.
The Mansion: Pros: I stayed in room three for the last three nights of my trip. 3 and 4 are the two rooms which share a bathroom which initially bothered me, but I couldn't get in another room so I went with it. I would still prefer a different room, but it wasn't a big deal and I would gladly take either of the shared bathroom rooms over room 7 at El Castillo (and they're cheaper! ). Room 3 was not large, but is pleasant enough with lots of closet space, opening windows (and private), nice furnishings, hardwired internet and AC. Electrical outlets are a bit limited, so next time I'll bring a cube tap, and I still wonder why hotel rooms never have good sound systems, but good ipod speakers work. The safe was broken but Marcy made it servicable. Again plenty of clean towels and hot water.
The real reason to stay at the Mansion is the girls. Perhaps it's not what it used to be, but every afternoon five to eight 18-22 year olds would show up, basically in street clothes, mostly quite shy and non-pushy, but all you need to say is "let's go" and your latin co-ed fantasy is following you to your bed. Pretty sweet. Because the girls are there, so are the guys, and this is why if you wish to be sociable, the Mansion is the place to be. Groups got together to go to dinner, make Casa runs, etc. There were some parties into the night which I enjoyed. Only once did my room 4 neighbor have the music blasting while I was trying to get to sleep, but hey, he had two girls in the room and I figure that goes with the territory. Occassionally it's tough to tell if a girl is "with" another monger, could be about to head off to bed, also could already done it so she's available again (that's kind of a parallel iniverse for some of us) Or maybe their just friends. Me? I missed a couple ogirlds I mistakrnly thought were taken, Others may have stuck their foot in their mouth approachig girls that were booked,
Because of concerns about the neighbors, wild out door parties have been moved in side, but the staff can make almost anything you want happen if you just ask. Mansion also arrangede side trips for me with varrying degrees if success. First a strp club run with regular driver Frenando He was great for that, knowing everyone at every club. Unfortunately he was suppossed to show up the next day to do a city tour that I wanted for both tourist and professional reasons. He never called, never showed and never apologized. Marcy then hooked me up with Jimmy to do the tout the next day. I was Jimmy's first Mansion customerbut it wo4rked fine, Jimmy dri=ove a cab in NYC for seven years so hid Englidh is quite passable and he can sommon up that NY cabbie attitude when it comes in handy,
Cons wise the biggest problem with the Mansion is getting in a room you like at a time you like, many people have to switch rooms during their stay.
I know I will try to stay at the Mansion on my next trip. If I can't get in there I might try Castillo again or one of the many Poblado hotels. My biggest regret in writing this reort is that the Mansion is already overbooked. But none of us would no anything about this is we don; t givr back.
All in all a great experience, so please visit Indonesia instead and leave room for me.

Made my first trip to Medellin (wonderful) and stayed at both Castillo and The Mansion, so thought I'd share a newbie's perspective on the pros, cons and differences. I have not tried any of the competitors like VIP or Frank's My Place so can't comment on them my comparison is hotels around the world or Valhalla in Phuket (The Mansion blows it out of the water).

Just returned from Medellin Bob's finca in Zaragoza (Zaragoza, Caucasia, Taraza y El Bagre, the murder capital of Colombia) (well I got drunk in Caucasia and didn't make it to the farm but Bob and Gerald did)
It was love at first sight with Bob meeting Bob the donkey for the first time. Also Gerald wanted to see coca plants so the farm manager took him deep into the jungle to taste a leaf.
The farm is under a pasture planting program now with cattle on the program later this year.

I bet the us in more unsafe than Colombia in some areas. Just be alert and travel in groups. Probably stick to only poblado on your first trip. Maybe go to centro only with a group. Same with mayorista. Or you can just stick to the mansion girls and poblado. When I visit I plan on going everywhere but in groups only. I think Poblado and Laureles I will do myself though.

Thanks in advance guys!I just got back a few weeks ago from El Castillo. I am still working on my report. I felt paranoid and nervous about my first trip to Colombia like yourself and have read and heard numerous horror stories about Colombia. I am not saying its not dangerous, but I think everything was blown way out of proportion. Treat Colombia like any shitty neighborhood in the US like parts of the Bronx, Miami or Jersey, and be alert and aware and travel in groups.
I would highly recommed getting a ride with Fernando at the Mansion. I was traveling by myself, and Aussie Greg and Robert coordinated 2 other gringos for a tour of Medellin. Fernando I think charged $20k an hour, which worked out to $3 an hour per gringo. He drove us around in a Mitsubishi Montero to La Mayorista (scale of 1) to Fase II (scale of 10). At one point we were searched by the cops at La Mayorista, and Fernando took care of the situation with the cops. I thought it was a shakedown but it wasn't they were just looking for weapons. I guess a bunch of guys parking in the middle of Mayorista drew attention from the cops. He looked out for us and told us not to pay more then a certain amount at each club. I am sure he was getting kickback from the clubs, but I found it odd at one titty bar, the check came around, Fernando checked the tab, and sent it back. The bill came back again and it was lower.
I was expecting an armed guard at the Mansion with bazookas in every corner, but when I made my trip to the supermarket in the Oviedo Mall, I was shocked in how clean, and beautiful the neighborhood is around the Mansion. There really was no need for armed guards. Honestly if you blindfolded me and dropped me off down there, I would have thought I was in Downtown Fort Lauderdale or something. I felt very safe walking down to the Mall and there was security everywhere. Not to say all of Medellin is like this, but Poblado is definetly first class area. I don't want to sound like a ignorant Gringo but I was honestly expecting chickens on the side walk with horses parallel parking them selves on the streets with pot holes, graffetti everywhere.
Always look out for groups of kids. Kids from the ages of 9-18 who are reckless and crazy. If they are staring at you, or following you, shit might go down. I carried two wallets. If I got jacked, I gave them the decoy wallet filled with $1k pesos. A lot of kids are always begging and won't leave you alone so carry some change. Don't take out your wallet in public.
I honestly felt stupid overthinking and debating about how dangerous Colombia was. BE CAREFUL AND ALERT but don't be scared or nervous. The people are friendly, and I think Colombia is turning towards the better.
As far as the girls at the Mansion, I was impressed overall. Many to choose from, and if you can't find what you want, I am sure it could be found for you. Just talk to Greg, or Marcy. A lot of these girls were on MySpace, Facebook, Yahoo etc, so in respect to the girls request, I am not posting pictures. I myself have been to DR multiple times, and usually don't find dark girls that appealing, although I always find many exceptions in the DR and a new found respect for Haitian Girls, but Medellin was incredible. I am not saying I won't be going back the the DR or CR, but my next few mongering trips will definetly be to Colombia, and if it is Medellin, I will be at the Mansion or El Castillo, at least for the next few trips.

Veteran of Costa Rica, and SE Asia, but never been to Columbia. Arriving on Oct 10 and hoping to stay 7 days. Been reading the board and quizzing previous guests, but looking for any tips you folks can offer. I will probably be traveling solo, so am looking for whatever tips folks have to make my stay a safe and memorable one. I am not overly concerned about my safety as I think many of the posts are over-reactions for one reason or another. But am not naive enough to think that I don't need to be on the lookout for problems. Pretty good street smarts and know the scene. Just unfamiliar with the new environment.
Again, looking forward to my stay and hope to meet some like-minded people while I am visiting.

we will give a discount for a month but remember end of july, beginning of august is peek season here in medellin, usally every room is booked out in medellin and prices go up by 30% if not more.

Short answer is yes,you must stay there.They used to let guests from El Castillo come over too but this was a year ago and I would defer to Greg now.I have stayed at Castillo many toimes and always allowed into tthe mansion, still allowed in February. I vbelieve not after 10 PM, but the girls are chosen or gone by then, get there in the afternoon and decide.
