things learned from my recent trip to medellin-
1. spanish- learning even the basics will help ensure a much more enjoyable trip.
2. money- there are four ways to convert peso’s. the first is to convert money through your local bank in the us. the rate of exchange and the processing fee make this a very expensive way to get the local currency. a 2000 peso to one dollar rate plus a processing fee of $12.00 us. the second way is to use a cambio in a local us airport before traveling. this rate of exchange makes the first alternative look like a great deal. a 1650 pesos to one dollar rate. the third way is to use a debit card or a prepaid visa travel money card. the advantage to this is the much higher exchange rate but the downside is the processing fee and the limit to the amount you can exchange per occurrence. the exchange rate using an atm was 2400 to one dollar. the fourth method is go to a cambio in country. the rate is not as good as the debit/travel money card and some cambios have a processing fee. the time for a transaction which requires a passport can be as long as ten minutes. be prepared to answer questions as to where you are staying, your occupation, and providing a fingerprint. my recommendation is to exchange a small amount at your local bank and use your debit card/visa money travel card for the rest of your exchanges. i once was in spain and something happened to the network for my atm card and i could not access money for three days. this is why i would recommend exchanging some money prior to your trip.
3. electricity-the outlets in country are a standard two blade type and electrical current is compatible with us standards. i would recommend bringing a grounded adapter in case your hair dryer, etc has a grounded plug and the outlets where you are staying do not accommodate a grounded plug.
4. clothes-there has been a little debate over this issue and whether or not clothing will make you stick out. the simple fact is that men wear long pants which can be jeans or dress pants. obviously if you are going to an upper crust restaurant you need to wear dress clothes. it is still true that they are going to pick you out as a gringo regardless what you wear. i would rather they have this difficulty at fifteen feet rather that a thousand yards.
5. transportation from the airport-make arrangements for someone to get you. it beats finding a cab driver who does not know where they are going or worse yet being set up for a robbery. i cannot describe the relief you will enjoy in seeing a friendly face who is going to get you where you want to go. once you are settled in use taxis to get around. have your hotel call them when you want to go somewhere. bring a small notebook and write down the address of where you want to go. ask the driver before you get in if he knows the location. sometimes they do not and all you are going to end up doing is wasting money.
6. accomodations-i do not care what anyone says. this has been a very violent and continues to be a violent city. i met many people who described the shooting deaths of family members. yes it happened six or seven years ago but less than six months ago two drug dealers were killed by a hand grenade thrown into a restaurant. with that being said you just need to be aware of where you are and the conditions and attitude of those who are around you. if you look around and sense that the colombians are on edge get the heck out of there. as to where any first time travel should stay it is the medellin mansion.
7. the medellin mansion- they do a great job here. the rooms are nice. they clean them once a day and change the linens daily. they provide breakfast cooked to order and you will meet a great group of guys. aussie and roberto go out of there way to help you get settled in. upon arrival they presented me with a packet of information stating the house rules. read them and follow them. if you need clarification just ask. lina in the office is a great person who can help you with anything you need and for most things should be for your first point of contact. the mansion also provides a laundry service for your clothes but ironing is an extra charge. all the rooms have ac, tv, safes, and the mansion has a high speed internet computer and they have a heated pool. the house has security guards and you have a key to the front door. however, please do not let anyone into the house. let the staff do that. if you come back late a night please remember you are in someone’s home. keep your voice down and if you have a date with you ask her to remove her high heel shoes.
8. grocery stores-in the area near the mansion there is a grocery store and a cambio for exchanging money. this is in a safe neighborhood and you can walk during daylight hours. i would still recommend that you get someone to go with you. this is probably not necessary but it greatly reduces the chances you will have a problem.
9. people-the colombians appear to be reserved. this does not mean they are not friendly, but they are reserved. an important phrase to remember is “no dar papaya”. it simply means do not give information away. if you are flashing money you are giving papaya. if you are drunk and stumbling around you are giving papaya. if you are speaking loudly in english you are giving papaya. my favorite scam is if someone approaches you and inquires if you dropped money. they hold out some folded over money and you natural reaction is to pull out your wallet. congratulations you have just given papaya. if someone has to much of an interest in you please be wary and move on to another location.
10. medellin is not for everyone so please if you come and something is not to your liking please keep in mind that this is not your country. if you do not like something just keep your mouth shut. ie do not ***** about the place. it does not mean you can’t send you steak back if it is to rare.

The results of which have been incredible feats of strength such as mass matings with the local Paisas who seem to fall under a spell after being seduced by the mighty billfold of the Yowie.

Witnesses report that the Australian Yowie may have a lair in the hills of the EL Poblado community, although this has not yet been confirmed by local authorities. Authorities are encountering problems in their attempts to track and cast plaster footprints for study of the Yowie due to several other smaller beasts that seem to be following in the footsteps of the Yowie to hide their numbers then part ways at one point and thereby also making it difficult to narrow down the reabouts of the creature.

This is my first trip to Medellin or Colombia for that matter. From all the post's and avice from the many veterans on this site I have come to the conclusion that ATM's are the way to go. They provide you with a very favorable exchange rate in comparison to exhange houses. It is also safer than carrying around large amounts of cash. Have safe trip and look foward to meeting you there!

The ATM in the grocery store next to the Sheraton (about 4 blocks from the mansion), gave me 500,000...more than other machines. There is one upstairs in the airport on the right hand side walking from the stairs which gives 400,000.

99% is a high number sounds like your trying to say Columbian women outside Columbia are only "working girls" that sell there bodies. I would say the number is high but not 99%. There are students, there are columbians with family outside the US in europe or asia. In fact there are probly columbian women given jobs in other countires that require them to stand up off their knees and actually produce somthing other then "seaman". Some people have the idea that all columbian women are "working girls" thats a stupid thought, its like saying all thai girls are hookers not always, columbia maybe poor and many lack the chances for employment. However I have a opinion that the ratio of columbian women to prosititution/sex trade is probly equal or near equal to the ration of american women to stripping/porn/sex trade. Didn't stick around for the anniversary party, but certainly had a ball the previous weekend at the Mansion. I'll just stick to the highlights:

Saturday - late arrival, had a few beers by the pool with the guys while listening to reggaeton music while waiting for a tour of nightspots to get going. Wait got a bit long, so Bob kindly brought out a guest whose name escapes me but whose slim waist and cup D boobs I'll remember for a while. Before I could say a word, another monger cut in line and snapped her up. More power to him.

Tour started with a drive to La Torre VIP Club. We got primo seating next to the long stage and watched the girls do their thing. Most of them were fit and friendly, but there weren't enough of them and the gallery got antsy. Guides got a whiff of it and took us to a more adventurous place.

The thing about the San Diego Grill is that quality of the girls is hit or miss, but it is one inexpensive and raunchy place. We got to see the (in)famous "lesbi" show, with one girl dressed as a cop and another one as a soldier. I've seen simulations in plenty of clubs in the States, but this show was real. Brenda, the cop, had her face buried so deep between the other girl's legs I just had to get up from my seat and walk close to the stage to believe it. A waiter kind of pulled me back and I settled on a chair to watch the soldier girl turn around while leaning against a pole and Brenda kneel, spread her partner's cheeks and go at it from behind. Unreal. When the show was over, I just had to grab one of the other girls and take her to the back. Don't remember her name or how much I paid, but I don't think I was out more than 100,000 Col. pesos. It was fast and furious and I highly recommend her. She's a 19-year-old university student (or so she says) who comes on stage with a traditional Colombian dress, does a folkloric dance, then strips. Wow.

Coming out of the SD Grill you can see dozens of streetwalkers outside waiting for the scraps. I was drunk, but I wasn't that drunk to mess with them.

Sunday - Did some touristy stuff in the a.m., then returned to the Mansion for the BBQ/pool party. Because of a taxi snafu, I almost missed the whole thing. Still, by the time I got there (6 p.m. or so), there were still more than 20 "guests" hanging out at the pool, none of them a day older than 21, I think. I could've chosen any number of young women - fake blondes, real blondes, long hair, short hair, etc. - but I settled on a somewhat shy lass named Catalina. It was only her third trip to the Mansion. We went somewhere more private. She plays on her school's basketball team, so she's quite athletic. Her skin is white and her nipples rosy. She was very cooperative but you can tell she's not too savvy in the ways of love. I felt like a senior in high school again.

Monday - I tried to call Catalina for a repeat performance, but she had class the next day. Instead, I hooked up with Laura, another girl from the party, who'd left her number behind. It was quite a wait for her to get to me from the other side of the city, but it was worth it. She's a bit darked-skinned, slim, has long dark hair and new boobs. Unlike the girl from the previous night, she knew exactly what she was doing (DFK, BBBJ, multiple positions, etc.) and seemed just as satisfied as I was at the end of our session. She even expects a call back the next time I'm in Medellin.

So I'm hanging at Faze 2 with some buddies and the next thing I know a bottle is being sent to me from another table. I was surprised and asked who it was from. The waiter responded "Medellin Executive" and pointed to a table of a few guys.

I and Albert walked over and introduced myself as Kickboxer151 and finally met the imfamous Medellin Executive. Very nice standup guy. We hungout and made plans to show me his new massive project under construction 1/4 block away from Park 10 Hotel in Parque Llares. There are many nice homes and so called "mansions" in Medellin however what he is doing to this place has more of a Miami Vice Modern look to it and its absolutely huge. Its obvious he's not sparing expense, modern amenities etc.

Its obvious this guy has a few bucks but is very humble and is obviously not an egotistical guy and does not need to stroke his own ego everyday.

However rumor is he will be wearing a white suit throughout Medellin with his name posted on his back "Medellin Executive" in hopes to promote his superego and potentially his new project., LOL

There is some secret things in the mix however I promised I wouldnt post them until the time is right!

After a recent visit to the Mansion and stop by and look see of El Castillo I only can say you guys are the best. The staff was great, Aussie was great, Roberto was great, and Lina was great. I cannot thank you enough for the services rendered. I bumped into some of the guys who were staying at VIP and although in some ways they may be equal to your setup I know from their guests comments that you are the guys to stay with when you want to see the chicas and have a great time. If you are not terribly interested in the chicas then they may be the best place to stay. I know I will be back to stay with Aussie and Roberto. I may even branch out when they expand to their new locations. Thanks guys for an awesome time !

Having a computer in every room is not a big attraction. From what I've seen, most guys bring their own laptops.

The rooms at the VIP are definately bigger, have AC and a fridge. From what I've heard, you have now followed up with AC and fridges. I wish you had AC when I had stayed there. :)

My first city that I visited in Colombia neally three years ago was Cali and I have just spent 4 days there with Medellin Bob organising the new Cali Mansion and the prices are still the same in many of the same places that I visited back then.

As for the prices in Medellin, even when we started, I have said to all girls that visit the Mansion, please look after my guests and that means do not ripp them off, yes we have cases where the girls have taken advantage of the situation and when I here about these I make sure that my guests is reembursed, wether its a dentist, lawyer or a *****, I try my best for my guest but I´m not god !!!!, some would say I´m pretty close though !!!!

I do not accept your unjust asessment, nor either Surfer´s or Luis The Great, all I ask is for proof of any intance of that we are reponsable for increasing prices, it was a normal questions which a lawyer can not answer beacause he carnt (Surfer) a guy comes to Colombia a few times and all of a sudden he´s a fucken expert.

The only people who I can even suggest who are resonsable for any price increase are tourist´s who tipp and or do not know the real prices and pay extra, thats the only reason I can think of and as I never really tip (she must be beautifull), its not me.

In fact, our hotel prices have gone down on neally every room and our services have gone up such as airconditioning, computers in every room etc.

Price increases will always be Colombian and people who can smell an extra quid.

As for being an honorary gringo, I just asked some Colombian people what they term as a gringo and they said !!!!, I better not say !!

I guess if people want to class me something then its O.K. by me, its like poring water on a ducks back.

Please, lets get this clear, tourism = inflation, normal scenario of events which take place any where tourism increases. 2 years ago a Condo cost 25 to 35 grand for a nice unit, last week I bought 2 preconstruction units for 92, 000 each in Envigado on the border of Medllin. Its good for the Colombian chicas to make a good living, they have kids, family, and need the money like you and I. I asked a chica at a Casa who I know has been honest with me how much she makes in a good week, after the casa takes the split she gets about 500, 000 pesos in a week, give them a break. Do the math at 2313 pesos to 1 dollar? I know the average wage is 100, 000 for the week, but thats the Gov. Minimum! I paid 80. 00 for a session in Cozumel 6 months ago and was happy to get the price that low. Its all about the money, Tell me, would'nt you try and get the most for you're work if this was you're profession. Keep the tourist coming Aussie! I agree with you about Loutron but its rich Colombians that have made that price go up, the people at Loutron do not give a rats ars about us or any tourist.

The amount of old Colombian money coming back to Colombia and also investment is mind boggoling, because of the better security situation, many Colombians are coming back to live and start up business again.

First prefferance for a Colombian is to live in Colombia, not the States or any other country.

As for the price increases in Medellin, anybody knows that Medellin is the happenning place in Colombia, with construction going up everywhere, their is money in this town, big money.

We probably don't disagree that much. However, I don't spend a lot of time thinking or worrying about what may be or whose fault it is. I am just an old bum trying to live out his life in paradise.

There is another way of looking at demand. It can increase prices and it can increase supply. I just got back to Laguito after 4 months in the US. I was stunned by the numbers of new chicas patrolling the streets of Laguito and Boca Grande.

The first night back I selected 2 newbies from a group of 7 chicas, 4 of whom I knew. When we finished, I gave them the standard 60K each that I have been paying in Laguito since 2003. They asked for 80. Since I had not discussed price first, I did give them each 20 more. However, I made it plain to them that I would pay no more than 60 in the future.

I did another newbie the next day. She was just what I like. Stunning body, big natural tits, not camera shy, cute, 20 years old from MDE. I would have given her 100K had she demanded it. However, I gave her the standard 60, and she was happy. And she came back for another 60K two days later.

The discussion on the floor is that P4P pricing in Medellin has been on a steady increase over the last couple of years. The most drastic increases have been at Loutron, steadily rising from about $70,000 cop per hour in late 2004 to $160,000 cop per hour currently. However, in the broader aspect of P4P in Medellin, such increases have not been the case by a long shot. Therefore, Loutron is not the ideal model to use for the generalization of P4P increases. Not withstanding, Loutron has prospered very well under the Aussie Greg, Medellin Bob - Penthouse, Mansion, Castillo tenures in Medellin. But to target Greg and Bob's operation as the sole reason why Loutron's prices have more than doubled is absurd. However, not withstanding, I will say that their operation did assist in the steady demand for sexual outlet over the last two years as well..

One personal note about Loutron by this reporter (as well as many others on three other sex boards I frequent) is that the quality of Loutron's product has steadily becoming a hit or miss situation. Whereas Loutron continues to offer some of the prettiest (and a times, hottest) Paisas available in Medellin, lately I have heard more and more complaints about many Loutron girls giving poor performances.

Now let's shift the discussion to something that Greg and/or Robert may or may not have a direct hand in: Paisa Pricing at the Medellin Mansio/Castillo.

I will be the first to say that I have not utilized the services of a Mansion girl for anything else than photos shoots for over a year now. In fact I know it was airport pick up girl Diana who was my last and that was on the day the White Sox won the third game of the World Series. From what I am reading and what is being told to me by other mongers staying at the Mansion, Paisa pricing has increased as well. Although the girls are independent and most willing to negotiate, it is my understanding that in general the Mansion girls are curerently asking $150,000 cop per hour. My own sessions a year ago and beyond were generally $100,000 for at least 2 hours if not more time. (I have never had a Mansion girl stay "Todo la Noche" because I like to sleep alone and when I sleep alone I prefer to be by myself).

So Gentlemen:

I think it should be put to open discussion whether it makes sense to pay a Loutron girl $160,00 cop for an hour (of wich she only gets a portion) and at the same time pay a Mansion girl $150,000 cop for an hour (of which she gets to keep all of and on top of that gets free food, drinks, access to a hot shower, may first be taken out on the town etc.. and if good, gets departing gifts and if real good may snag a foreign boyfriend for $$$suport).

So there it is and I hope this thread gets some lively discusion from all.

Loutron may have raised their prices but that does not mean you have to go there! I went once and took one girl who was really inexperienced. I went a second time and decided there was no one there worth 140,000. In every city there is a venue that thinks they are the top providers. In Buenos Aires there is Black and they command top peso. However, you are not forced to use them! The same that holds true for the girls who come to the mansion. All we have to do is not pay 150,000 and instead offer 70,000 or 100,000 if she is hot. We at the Mansion y El Castillo have been inundated by girls who wish to come to our Sunday Dancing Compertions and also just come over to hang and meet the guy´s during the week.

How can I recommend somewhere I have never been, unlike some people, I have never put down VIP or any other place. I have only told what my experience was, and I was extreamly happy with the service I recieved from both Greg & Robert and their staffs'. Therefore, that is why I recommend their establishments, if I had stayed at VIP or any other place and recieved the same service I would be singing their praises also, but I didn't so I can't. Some have accused me of getting kickbacks, I am NOT getting any kickbacks from anyone (I wish I did that would be cool). I have been completly open about my experiences in Medellin and have recieved tons of hate mail and derogatory remarks as a result.

When I first joined this site everyone was into sharing info about their experiences. The purpose was so the inexperienced monger or newby, which is what I was, would not make the same mistakes they did, therefore bettering their mongering experience. What happened to that, this has turned into a bunch of boneheads seeing who can insult the other more. I AM JUST AS GUILTY AS THE REST OF YOU, I am not trying to preach but lets get back to what Jackson formed this site for in the first place HELPING the newby by sharing our experiences.

I differ with you only in that YES you negotiate a set price but only if THEY (chicas) accept it. So the reality is they (chicas) actually still do set the price.

Reading through this board and 3 others I am seeing exactly what you are saying about skills, looks, language ability etc playing into pricing. There are some guys paying twice as much for the same gal as another. I know that your language skills and those baby blues of yours can go a long way in a better price for sure.

I personally think that it should be a little more relaxed as far as negotiating with a Mansion girl especially for a guy who may not be as young or good looking or speak Spanish. To me it doesn't make sense that one night a girl turns a trick for a Mansion guest for one price then that same girl turns another trick for 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% or more.

Just my opinion but young goodlooking guy's should not be paying at all because they should be in hot pursuit of non-pros. However the young guys mongering I have met up with in my travels don't like the shitty attitudes of their home girls. Unfortunately it seems in Medellin it is becomming survival of the richest and not the fittest. You see many mongers are pressed for time and don't feel that haggling is worth the time spent. A monger on a 5 day trip is less likely to negotiate than a monger on a 2 week (or more) trip.

I would really like to test drive my new system at the mansion.

Like greg said if you have your own camera USB cable you can connect to the USB port. The only problem that may occur is that the version of windows may not automaticaly recognize the harware (your camera) if they are using XP then it should not be a problem. If you choose to go this route then I suggest you bring the CD that came with your camera for the dowload drivers in case.

The best option I suggest though is using a car reader. Either a dedicated one or a multi port (4 in 1, 6 in 1 etc). I use Sandisk cards in my Nikon and Casio and I use a generic dedicated card reader that cost $10 at Best Buy. It's barely larger than the card itself. I just stick the card in the reader then connect it to a USB port and then open the click on My Computer and it will show up as "REMOVEABLE DISK DRIVE" and double click and it opens up with all the pics on the card. At that point you can go to your email and start sending them home as attachments.

Keep in mind that sending large files can take some time so you may want to ask Camillo if they have a zip file maker on the computer you will be using and it will make it alot faster to send by email.

BTW- I can't remember a time when the pics on the MM website were 100% accurate. What I mean is there were always (and still are) times when you click on one pick for more info and onther room is shown. I don't know why the IT guy can't get it right.

When your going thru U.S. customs and are a single male traveling alone from Colombia they are going to wonder as it is. One way of doing this would include not carring any pics but touristy stuff on you.

well today i heard a report that the us immigration office is reporting a steady increase in a more newer "termed" traveler the health traveler.

i was quite pleased to hear in the report that men and women were traveling to asian and south american destinations for medical treatments that were significantly cheaper in those countries.

so a thought came to mind: if you were questioned at immigration/customs about your reason for travel, how could they dispute your telling them that you traveled for health reasons?

why would they question that you traveled to colombia for massage therapy, botox treatments or dental work or facial plastic surgery or liposuction just to name a few procedures. i have personally met mongers in colombia who have had these procedures done in colombia at signifcantly discounted prices than what they would have paid in their native land.

heck, the pamplets that greg "da coach" gives out even states the availability of assistance in finding medical treatments and procedures.

gents, i think the only connection an immigration/customs officer could use to make an accusation that an individual coming from colombia was a sex traveler would be the actual contents of ones belongings such as clothed or naked or lewd photographs of beautiful (or ugly if you like em that way) colombian women. so i could see why a health traveler would want to avoid the possibity of a hassle and would prefer to email their photos home instead of taking them with.

I first want to apologise to Aussie for posting this post on this particular thread as maybe this whole discussion about Scooby might belong on the fightclub thread, but one point Surfer, Kickboxer, Player 2, and all of Scooby's supporters are missing is the fact THE FEDS INQUIRED ABOUT HIM. So before all of you start jumping on the posters who have not been favorable to Scooby you might want to give some thought to what I am posting below. I came back from Medellin almost to weeks ago. I stayed at the mansion. It's a great place especially for those who come to Colombia 1st time, who do not know spanish well or who want to hang out with other people. If you want much privacy, then another place would be better. But in the mansion you'll never get bored.

I met many fun people there, we went to bars and clubs together. Greg, Lina and other staff were very helpful. I also liked the trips they arranged.

Thank you Greg, see you again, i'll bring more vodka next time:-) also let me now if you have that travel plan for spring.

Now Greg stop embelishing you know Robert never gave me mouth to mouth. What happened was I had lost my heart pills and had a very mild heart attack(at least thats what the doctors told me when I returned home) I never lost conciousness and never went to the hospital, Robert was worried and wanted to call for an ambulance but I declined, but he would have if he had to give me mouth to mouth. I knew what it was at once because it was not the first time & once I had my pills refilled everything was fine. Hugh Grant can confirm this he witnessed the whole thing.

Besides that for Greg to publish personal information about me or any guest, especially when he told me when I arrived that anything lawful that happens at the Mansion is completly confidential, is a tremendous breach in professionalism.

She told me she was in Medellin for a few weeks and would be now back in Cartagena by now.

Fantasy, the quality of the chicas IMHO in Guatemala don't compare to the general quality of those in all of Colombia.

There are some hot chicas there, and some real sweeties too. I found the hottest chicas in the PFP biz in Guatemala to be the sweet chicas from Hondorous.

With some spanish skills, you can have a really fun time there ... even without spanish, guys can have fun, but like anywhere, it makes it so much better, and less expensive with communication skills.

I think most of us regular Medelin mongers would agree that it's not just about the price of pussy that matters but also the quality of the experience that makes it worth the asking price.

Also when you go to a clip joint (anywhere in the world) then of course the pussy is more expensive.

In Medellin, Fase II and La Isla (now closed) were the most costly clubs that I had been to at $150,000 cop per hour.

But in terms of how much the girl actually makes per session, Fase II falls behind Lejano Oriente and the Mansion.

Actually, whether or not the management at Lejano gets a cut of the girls action is not known to me. At the Mansion, however, the girls don't have to share a cut of the business so, in effect, the Mansion girls are some of the best paid per hour girls in Medellin for P4P in terms of their take home pay per session.

As I have said before, it's been a year since I used the services of a Mansion girl but I plan on putting some to work and will be fair in what I offer. Again, it is up to the girl to say Yay or Nay to what I offer, no love lost.

Low cost P4P is abundant in Medellin but at the same time the GFE (or lack of) you get for the low price can be dissapointing for many a monger.

BTW- I will be on a secret mission as well in Medellin. One that I will share with my fellow mongers if successful. It's neither dangerous nor risky. It's just an something that I should have done before but just have been to busy to do the last few times I have been there.

Mansion Girl, is a Paisa girl who after a interview and is between the ages of 18-23 (approx) and after a invertation attends our parties and be generaly involved with the activities wether it be parties, going out to dance clubs in groups of people and or turning up on Sundays to our pool parties/dance compertions, being able to meet and make friendships to our many guests.

Based on my short experience at the mansion...the first night I was there, there was a party with lots of booze and food flowing.

The next day Greg presented us with a bill. Some of the guys were upset, I wasn't. There's nothing in the mansion adverts that say free flowing booze and snacks; if I had gone to a club it would have cost money out of my own pocket. No big whup.

So just wanted to state that Greg doesn't pay all the time, and if he does, a thanks to him should be in order. In any case, guys should take responsibility for the costs of their partying materials, and anything gratis is icing on the cake, IMO.

Never stayed at VIP, but I like the mansion enough to be coming back early next year.

hi, guys,

i'm new to the board, but have been to mde 3 times. during my last visit about 7 months ago, i stayed at the mansion. let me tell you, some of you guys are a hard bunch to please.

as soon as you arrive at the mansion, it becomes clear pretty quickly that greg and robert are not running it for profit. they are both extremely generous not only with food and drink, but most importantly with their time. during my 4 days there, i saw greg arrange a meeting with lawyers for a guest looking to buy property, make flight and hotel arrangements for a guest to take his novia de dia from fase ii to a beach resort for a few days and more stuff i'm sure i forgot.

i asked for information to go parapenting. i expected just to be given the address of the place and for lina to make an appointment and maybe arrange a driver. but greg ended up sending (at his expense) his girlfriend and another guy to come along and participate.

maybe they wanted to go anyway, but i can't help to think it was because he was being a gracious host and wanted me to have company. (greg, sorry mate, i know i promised to email you the pictures and video, but if you remember i lost my camera and unfortunately it wasn't in my luggage)

anyway i'm not trying to say the mansion is the best place on earth, but come on, for those of you who have been there, weather you like the set up or not, give credit where it's due.

as for the mansion girls, i was not impressed. for my taste they seemed a bit pushy and were not up to the rest of the paisas in the city. that said, i did take one back to my room my first day there. she first asked $200. 000, i smiled, she smiled back and then said pay what you want. i ended up giving her $200. 000 after the fact because i felt bad for her. she had a real desperate/fearful look on her face when she thought she was about to leave without making any money. it's sad for some of these girls.

my two biggest problems with the mansion:

1- you really can't bring a regular girl back there (if there is such a thing); and

2- if you are an intermediate spanish speaker like me, hanging around all english speakers makes it difficult to get your head into spanish mode.

as for places like the mansion causing prices to increase, it may be bad to say, but a little farc activity can be a good thing for chica inflation.

just a question, why the big deal about "taking a cut" from the ladies. Every time it gets brought up in a thread there is an outcry, that demands "proof", "give me names", "who said that". You have stated before that you do not take anything from the girls, so that ends this disscussion. However I do have some questions. Which I will ask, and hopefully you will answear

1. Do you see your establishment expanding in Medellin? Like buying a bigger house with more rooms to replace the orginal?

2. What are the changes being done to the second house? Are you adding more rooms? Any thoughts about adding a outdoor hot tube to yard?

3. Who will be running the show for robert when he is in cali?

4. When will cali mansion be up and running.

5. Will the house do anything to curb inflation among the girls, prices are going up 150K 200K and the girls are ACTULLY EXPECTING IT.

Also some suggestions for the place

1. Instead of counting bags of chips or bottles of water every day, why not with every room included in the price of the room a number of soda's, water, chips and if more is requested its delivered to the room for a cost. Might save on having to go into every room and count.

Just got back from Guatemala City this afternoon, was going to take the bus down to Costa Rica but had a little work to do back at base camp ¨MM¨

Every thing is in order here, Medellin Bob, Henry ¨son of Aussie the coach Greg¨, John, y Maria have every thing under control.

They went to Mango´s last week with 30 people, and you know what, we dont get a kickback from them either.

I have to agree with Sparky.

I am pretty sure nothing you can say to him will ruin Greg's day as I can safely assume he has thicker skin than most people here.

But I will add that I stay at Hotel Castillo for many reasons. One is usually because The Manison is booked. But they always are looking out for me. When I want to watch football, they tell me where to go (plus the Mansion has football on Sundays) or set up a TV for me. In fact I watched my Buccaneers kick a 62 yarder from there (about the last good news this year for this Tampa fan).

But as far as the service goes, if they are going to dinner, I get invited. If there are chicks around, I am introduced. If I need a shirt washed or ironed, it is washed or ironed. In fact, one time, I lossed my sim card from my phone in the room as I had to leave at some ungodly hour to catch my flighjt. I was miserable as I had no way to call my friends and clients on my drive from Miami to Tampa. I mean, who memorizes phone numbers any more. And I had lost hundreds of numbers, some invaluable. When I came back a few weeks later to Hotel Castillo, the maid there quickly goes and gives me a bag of my forgotten stuff which included money (yes, that's right, money that I had forgotten around 21K COP) and my sim card. How pumped was I. Plus it had numbers of Colombianas I had met on my first couple of trips that were irreplaceable (well they were sort of replaceable, but...) They really are outstanding and I would be happy to privately tell how invaluable they have been in helping me buy my property in Medellin, explaining the ins and outs of getting a visa, ect). It is a friendly place and I would recommend it to anyone. Frankly, I am simply hooked on the omelettes at Hotel Castillo. And their jugo sandia is ridiculo.

I am bringing 3 of my friends there this friday to stay for a week. In regards to this board, I am quite frankly surprised as to how many people seem to curious as to how someone makes a dollar (or a peso).

I simply don't think there is a better option for the male traveler in Colombia. It has a Sportsman Lodge feel to me in San Jose - I loved that place too.
