I just spent the weekend in Costa Rica. In three days I pulled four women out of the Del Rey, three Colombianas and a Nicaraguan.

Sure, they all wanted "cien dolares," but that is ridiculous. Each one went with me for exactly 20,000 colones (around $40).

Only one other girl there turned down my offer in order to hold out for $100.

She was a definite 10, a Panamanian with long dark hair and a Pamela Anderson body. It was 8 PM on Saturday night, and she had no trouble attracting one man after another.

Nonetheless, she spent several hours of downtime when she could have been earning hard cash.

At $100, I passed.

Which was fortunate, because the next chica I ran into was the best.

Her name was "Gio," a dirty blonde, busty 26 year old Nica. Bubbly personality, total GFE, and great BBBJ. I haven't had so much fun in a long time!

While many like to complain about the Del Rey, I enjoy the "romance" of the of the meat market. The flirting, the games, the fun.

I actually like talking to the girls to get a sense of who they are. It helps me decide who I want to take back to my room.

I can easily walk away from the ones who have an attitude, and find another one to hook up with who is sweet as hell.

I find it so much more fun than trying to pick one out in 30-60 seconds while looking through a cloudy window at the New Fantasy, with absolutely no idea what her personality will be like.

It is true that half of the women at the Del Rey are dogs, but the other half are foxes, of varying degrees.

You can not help but find many chicas to your liking.

And except for the 3-4 total knockouts who can stand firm for $100, the rest can be had for MUCH, MUCH Less!

Reports say it is open until 9 PM. However, it was closed at 8 PM on a Wednesday, and at 6 PM on Saturday.

The second time a group of neighborhood teenage boys told me that it was closed permanently. One would think they would know.

Oasis hours have been 9:30 to 7:00 M-F and 10:00 to 4:00 Saturday for the last year and a half I have been a customer.The place Oasis owns around the corner across for Super Bingo stays open until 7:00 on Saturday and I think 9:00 on week days. Also Veroinicas on Calle 36 about 25 M. South of Paseo Colon also stays open til 9:00 on weekdays if I remeber correctly.It has no sign but has a bell outside right next to La Favorita restaurant.They had some nice talent in August when I was there last. rbrandon(rbc100)

I just got back from 3.5 days in heaven, er CR. I stayed at the Sportsman's Lodge. Bill and his crew are the best. If you are going join **************.com. Get the VIP card; it saves you $ on play and food and other stuff.

The food is good; the accomodations are great; the company is excellent. There is a hand picked group of gals who come and go; they are independent contractors. Most of them are just shy of model beautiful; but smiling from cowgirl they make up that margin just fine. Cynthia on the crt website was my initiation into the CR way of doing things. What a smile; what a bod; what a ride.

I can't recommend Sportsman too highly. It is a short walk from zona blue and other mps. It is a short walk from Del Ray. Del Ray the land of 24/7 babes. Went there at 9 p.m. takeout; 7 a.m. take out; 3 a.m. takeout. I got mostly Columbian GFE. Prices right.

Zona Blue saw Vanesa, Wendy and some dark haired wench that almost owned me before I or she was done.

I tried to keep up with Bronzie but dammit I had to sleep sometime. The old CR hands tried to encourage us to see the town and the sights but that was not in the cards.

IMHO, downtown San Jose is a shithole, in the middle of a beautiful country.
I don't like to just sit in San Jose.... boriiiiing. I go out and surf, raft, hike, ride horses, motorcycle, ATV, and hang out at beach resorts, etc. I know some nice, pretty athletic freelancers who will travel for $150 per 24 hours. Some of you guys are paying the same to the BM girls for 2 hours, LOL. You often save $$$ traveling with a TICA because they get "local" pricing on tours, hotels, etc. One even has a 4x4 SUV and speaks some English! Watch out for two young sweet things from the NYBar.

One blond with nice fake tits and not so Tica looking, the other dark brown haired Tica and both are quite cute.

It was a total set-up. I was playing/talking with the blond and eventually was ready to go with her to my hotel. I paid the bill and as I walked outside to meet her I was informed that I would get the 2 for 1 special. After a few refusals and some fast talking on their part I succumbed and off we went. The message is they were working me from the very beginning and I was lucky. I also heard from another fellow they tried working him the next day but he just wasn't interested.

There are several lessons to be learned here. The first one is to always listen to your gut. Admittedly, that can be hard to do sometimes and I think we've all found ourselves thinking with our little head rather than our big one at times or another. The other thing is to never do a double at your hotel with 2 chicas unless you've been with at least one of them before and have some basis for trust. Even then you never know, but it certainly improves your odds. Doubles with unknown chicas at MP's are a lot safer. Finally, if you ever find yourself in a situation where 2 chicas you don't know give the hard sell for a double session walk away regardless of whether they're the chicas that you're posting photos of.

The good news was not just that you were wise enough not to have left stuff lying out before you brought them back. The good news was that you had enough sense to send them packing when they started to change the rules. A lot of guys might have compromised in that situation with who knows what results.

what makes you think isg is really any different? i just pointed out somewhat extreme pov’s by you and chilimike. you could run through any forum on here and easily find plenty of guys who specialize on certain countries and have their own “provincial” views about them. for example, some guys here will swear by thailand over anywhere else and other guys who will be equally as gung-ho over rio or ba. but there are also plenty of guys both here and at crt who are open-minded to a variety of destinations. i should know since i’m one of the latter. as others will tell you, i have often pointed out both the various pro’s and con’s of cr at crt. i love cr, but i recognize it is not always the best choice for everyone under all circumstances and also travel to other places and so do many other crt’ers. so we’re not all provincial at crt and everyone here is not always so open-minded. the real difference between crt and here in terms of provincialism is that because this board does not specialize in any one country, you will find different guys here that are each biased towards their own different favorite destinations.

if you read my post you’d see that i said as much when i wrote:

in all my posts at crt, the only times i have ever become involved in anything even remotely resembling a flame war was on a few isolated occasions with newcomers who did not represent the bulk of the membership there, didn’t really fit in and who ended leaving the board shortly thereafter. my posting style here is exactly the same and yet i got embroiled in a flame war (with name-calling on his part if not mine) with a senior member within just a few posts after i started posting on this forum. crt does not allow posting of graphic nude photos (e.g. spreadshots). isg recently got into hot water over some tasteless posting of unauthorized photos of some women in their mideast section. most crt guys i know don’t participate in the sw end of the monger market. in many parts of isg and usg that is one of the most widely discussed topics. at crt, discussions of **** prostitution are rarely brought up and if it is mentioned at all it is roundly condemned. i have seen posts in other sections of isg by guys that seem to think it is okay to screw a girl under 18 in other countries just because it’s legal there. at crt the concept of treating even working girls with respect is highly valued. even just using the term “w h o r e s” is widely condemned. many members here share those values, but reading the posts of many others it is readily apparent they see these girls as just some sort of cum-bucket to be taken advantage of.

maybe these things don’t mean much. it certainly doesn’t describe all the guys here (or there), but as long as you want to start making such value judgments about others, there are always other ways one can look at it. regardless of any of this, there is much that can be learned from others at either site. hopefully, each of us is smart enough to read beyond the possible bias (or lack of class) that others will inevitably sometimes display and glean the facts we need to make our own monger experiences the best they can be.

Well said Chase, For hobbying in Costa Rica no site holds a candle to CRT for overall information on the hobby and general issues in the Country. However, for the rest of the world site like ISG and numerous outhers that cover multiple destinations are the best place for one to start thier research but many outher countries have specific sites for their countries.

I have been seeing a lot of disrespect shown towards the women on several sites lately which I find tasteless and I am not one of those hobbist looking for more than a GFE experiece for more than an hour to a few or occasionally overnight. I applaud your second 10/22 post -- you make some excellent points. I have been an ISG member for three years and a CRT member since early this year, and I am a big fan of both sites. Since CRT focuses almost exclusively on Costa Rica, it is quite simply a much more comprehensive and superior resource for those considering a trip to Costa Rica. This is in no way a knock against the ISG, which does a marvelous job of covering the entire planet. The one cool trend I am noticing, however, is that some of CRT's most illustrious and informative members are now regularly contributing to the ISG's Costa Rica board -- e.g., yourself and R Brandon. I think this is great.
I also want to say that I share your disgust whenever I encounter a poster on any board using disparaging terms such as "*****s" or "bitches." These ladies are working in what I truly believe is a valid and honorable profession, and I feel extremely lucky that I have had the resources to be able to spend some intimate time with them. 98% of the Costa Rican ladies I've dallied with have been extremely friendly and a blast to be with. I would guess that most of them are single mothers working to support their kids, and I have an enormous respect for this.

Previously I was a fan of CRT but recently it has become more of a chat room than an exchange of information, lots of high fives and banter.I think that happens to one degree or other on any board such as these, but is not necessarily entirely a bad thing. Perhaps it happens even more so on CRT. That can be intimidating to a newcomer or seem like just a waste of time to others that are just there to learn. You should keep in mind that probably much more so than on this board, the guys on CRT, because they are all regularly going to the same place, have probably had much more opportunity to hang out together, drink and carouse. Heck, there are even CRT "chapters" in various parts of the US where members get together at local watering holes (usually the neighborhood Hooters), compare photos and share stories of their most recent trips (while tossing down a few drinks and flirting with the waitresses). The only guys here I've actually met are Brandon and Shamas (and perhaps a few others going by alternative handles) and that was through CRT. So a greater degree of comradery, chat and banter is probably inevitable at CRT. The good news is if you don't like it you just skip those posts, but I'd rather read past those than have to read past flames, and if you feel left out of the inner circle it is really not that hard a circle to become a part of.

It also disturbs me that the owners/partners of CRT have financial interest in Zona Blue, Sportsmans and who knows what else and promote these establishments without aknowledging that they get rewarded by hyping and hosting events there.I'm not really sure what IF ANY financial ties the CRT admins have with those businesses other than their sponsorship that is posted at the front of the site. Do they pay for that posting with cash or do they get that exposure simply in exchange for offering a discount to paying CRT members that are probably the principal source of revenue for the board? Or do the admins make money on the back end through a share in the profits of those businesses? I don't really know and while the possibility also disturbs me somewhat, I'm not losing much sleep over it. The admin can get a bit defensive about anything negative said about the board sponsors but for the most part members are free to say whatever they want. Case in point, a recent thread entitled "Kamur Sucks", which was dissected to death by me and others, was a mostly negative review of a board sponsor. In it the Admin came to Kamur's defense, which is his right as a board member, but he was drowned out by other members and to his credit he didn't delete the thread, which he could have easily done. Same thing happened in a review of Kaya's Place in Puerto Viejo. There have also been cases where a board sponsor was dropped for failing to meet up to board standards. Sure the Admin promotes ZB, SL and other places. But so does nearly everyone else including guys like myself that wouldn't shy away at all from posting our views if we didn't like the places in question. I've never seen a bad review of places like ZB or SL (except at the old CRS board, which if you want to talk of finanicial bias, was rife with bias towards NF and other places)

Incidentally, this issue of potential financial bias entering a site is a very important one to me and a large part of the reason why I've made my own site free and non-profit. My only sources of income are any donations people care to give and some small commissions I get when people join CRT through my site (by clicking on their banner ad). However, one doesn't have to join CRT (through my site or otherwise) in order to gain access to it and all of that is plainly stated. Also any excess over my costs goes completely to charity anyway so there is no reason for bias. Besides those that know realize I wouldn't be promoting CRT if I didn't believe in them.

As far as I know, the only financial interest that the folks at Zona Blue and Sportsmen's Lodge, have with CRT is that they are paid advertisers on the CRT site, and they offer deals to CRT members in exchange for reduced advertising rates. Perfectly legit, IMHO. And the fact is, the CRT membership IS valuable in terms of better rates on services. It more than pays for itself in a couple of days of mongering.

The reason that Sportsmen's and ZB get widespread praise on CRT is that they provide exceptional services to mongers. Sportsmen's Lodge is a boutique hotel started up by an Expat former monger, so he knows what we are looking for, and he delivers it. As a result, his place is generally booked out because he provides value for a target market segment. Similarly, Zona Blue provides, IMHO, the best quality short-time MP experience in Costa Rica. When I am mongering in CR, my scarce resources are my time, and the number of shots in my gun. I'd certainly rather pay $45 for a sure thing good time with a hottie, along with a conveniently located clean safe environment and complimentary internet access, than pay $25-30 for a hit-or miss experience in a dumpy place in a more sketchy neighborhood.

It certainly IS true that many in the Costa Rica expat monger community have a provincial, sheltered attitude toward Costa Rica because they have not experienced the big picture. Personally, I was considering retiring to Costa Rica, until Thailand ruined me for anywhere else. But the provincialism is simply a result of the fact that the forum is about Costa Rica. It's NOT about mongering worldwide, like this site is. IMHO, both CRT and this site serve their particular needs quite well. When trying to decide where I might choose to adventure, worldwide, this site is much more useful - but If I already knew I was going to Costa Rica, and was looking for specific planning details around that trip, CRT would be more useful - but I would still check with both.

The chicas that go to the SL know they won't get $100/hour but know if they do a good job they will get a repeat customer that will see them at least every other month or so and who more reliably knows how to treat a chica well. ...So what's my point? I SERIOUSLY hope that those newbies out there reading posts like the one below and that venture out to the SL, at least bring a modicum of discernment with them rather than turning the SL into another BM.
Well the word is in. Some chicas at the SL are starting to ask CIEN. I don't know if that is because guys have started showing up there that pay that rate or if it is just the money-hungry bitchitas from the HDR/BM following the money and seeking out new grounds to try and pull their shit. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame any chica for trying for it. If she can get it, more power to her. But any guy that pays that much for only an hour has to be a fool when he can get GFE quality chicas at the local MP's for only 10K colones ($21) (and those girls only get half of that). Okay it may not be exactly the same but very often those CIEN girls are no better and sometimes worse than more reasonably priced talent.

Bottom line: If you're going to pay $100/hr, stick to the HDR/BM. That place has already been spoiled. If you're going to pay that much anyway, there is not really any advantage going to the SL or any place else and you'll only spoil those other places too for the rest of us with your extravagant ways. Stick to the BM if thats the way you play your game.

On my last night in SJO, I visited IDEM. I always stop in to say hi to Roberto and Anna. That night, Roberto suggested I session with a new girl, first night Nica. I apologize but I cannot remember her name.

I chatted with her for a while and we went upstairs. She started with BBBJ (after asking for a 5K tip). That day I would take seven shots on goal with eight different chicas, so I was on a mission. She took me upstairs, told me to forget about everything that just happened and she would make it all better. Handed her the VISA again, she came back upstairs for signature and to get started. Massage was great! She knew I liked BBBJ, and I think she let me CIM. My memory is faded as she was number 7 that day, so I apologize. After I finish, she laid there and cuddled, and stroked me...no hurry, and no knock at the door after I was sure the hour had passed. We then talked about a lot of stuff, including real estate opportunities for gringos in SJO. Bottom line...Jorleny thinks most gringos are stupid at buying properties in SJO. I go have another drink downstairs a content client. I pay my $14 bar tab and bid farewell to Jorleny, Anna, and Roberto.

Two weeks after my return, I check my VISA bill. There is only a $14 charge from IDEM. Now, I know some charges take a while to process, but I think Roberto was trying to make good on his reputation. He is a real gentleman.

Best way to get to IDEM. Have a cabbie take you to "Restaurante Tin Jo" (pronounced "teen hoe"..ironic no?). From Tin Jo, cross the street in front and walk about 100 meters to the right. You can't miss the big green and white IDEM sign.

I've never seen a bad review of places like ZB

While I respect your position and are glad that you enjoy Zona Blue, I was very disappointed there earlier this month.

I liked it better before the changes.

I was at ZB last year and enjoyed chatting with the chicas in a large room with comfortable chairs and couches. It was easy to cuddle up with the girls while getting to know them a bit.

I saw three that I would have liked to have done, and had a good experience with the one I picked out.

When I went back this month, the living room was gone and there was a small lounge. All the men sat around the bar and the chicas were along the wall. The men talked to each other and their was very little flirting or romancing with the chicas.

This is just my subjective opinion, but I thought the girls were not nearly as good looking as I remembered. Mostly fives and sixes.

I spotted one girl with a passable face, but great body. She was in the room less than 30 seconds before a guy scooped her up. Fair enough, as he wasn't afraid to pull the trigger.

I decided to wait until she returned. When she did so, I wasn't going to be beaten to the punch again, so I went straight up to her to start a conversation.

She ignored me, then I saw her looking behind me. A short time later another fellow walked up to her and it was clear that I was a non-factor.

If there is a system where you give your name and take a number I was not made aware of it.

I thought the whole thing sucked, and wasn't about to wait around any longer.

I would give the Zone another try, but I no longer rate it a "must see" when in CR.

i would agree there are many more places in town besides zona blue. it is a quality place but some of their best talent came from oasis which is a prime place for sweet girls as well as several outher places in that neighborhood and many outhers rep001tered around town. not as many extras but much better prices. by the way zona blue is in competition for the highest drink prices in town. was charged 2000col for a bavaria light a few months ago. i thought she failed to give me change but that was price. most expensive beer i have had in san jose. rbrandon (rbc100)

Well this sounds like a CAFTA fallout scenario.

Some guys are concerned about the price of import Flat Screen TV's being high if CAFTA is enacted but fail to realize that all the pot-holes, the fifty cent pineapples, $30 hotel rooms, 2300 col kilo coffee, 90 cent Imperials, $1.75 taxi fares, dollar fifty roasted chickens and the $300-700 month apartment rentals are in a large part what is so endearing about Costa Rica and it all goes away if the Costa Ricans vote for CAFTA

Hi, I am a former Zona Blue girl with a 4x4 SUV. I speak some English, but a Gringo member is helping me with this posting....A few thoughts come to mind with this post.
a) If this is for real and there are chicas here now, some of us might have to really watch what we say?
b) If this is for real, why didn't she let us know which former ZB girl she is? Unless she was a clunker, and they haven't had too many of those at ZB, it might help her get more clients if other members who have met her can attest to her GFE qualities. Of course, it could also be that she's actually still there in which case her discretion is understandable.
c) Which gringo member is introducing WSG to the chicas?
d) If this is for real it might not be that bad a deal as long as you don't mind taking your chances on a chica sight unseen. It costs quite a bit to rent a SUV in CR. At least during the high season, it usually runs at least $50/day+tax+insurance (though I just saw a deal for a suzuki jimmy for $180/wk low season). For a car with driver/guide, many guys pay anywhere from $100-150/day and you don't get to screw him at the end of the day :). So $200 for a girl WITH a car sounds like a pretty good deal.

If I were her, I would not want to put all of that information including her identity out in the open. And, IMHO, it's extremely naive to believe that what you post on these forums does not somehow get back to the ladies.

DBOkay, so that wasn't exactly true. I have seen SOME bad reviews and now I've seen 2 more. My point was that the general consensus of regular members on those places is positive so that it has to be something more than just moderator financial bias.

Actually, I've seen a much worse review of ZB than either of those which was posted by Rico, the Admin at the old CRS board. However, you really had to take that report with a huge grain of salt because of Rico's own well-known financial bias in favor of ZB's rival NF. Also, unfortunately, CRS had already run completely down hill by that point. All that was left were a some newbies and a bunch of trolls (including that dickhead "The REAL Man" :)). Many of the trolls also backed up Rico's review, but I wouldn't give them much stock either and I'm sure that was done just to curry Rico's favor.

Now, RBC on the other hand is a guy whose opinion I can respect but even there I think there might be a different type of bias. RBC is the epitome of tica bargain hunters and therefore ZB is really not his type of place. That said it is definitely true that drink prices are ridiculously high at ZB. They're also high at IDEM, though not quite as much. This has never bothered me personally, because I don't go to those places to drink, usually limiting myself to a bottled water or maybe an Imperial. But all guys are different. Some like the mens club atmosphere of ZB's new cigar bar and other amenities and don't mind paying a big premium for it, while others feel their money is much more well spent at someplace like Oasis.

Finally, Dodger's review is an interesting one. I don't doubt it happened just like he described it. I won't excuse it but I can offer a possible explanation for the conflicting accounts. First of all, I should say I haven't been there myself since the recent changes and I've never been one that was overly enamored with that place either, though I've made it a point to always visit it at least once on each trip to CR since it opened.

ZB is undeniably very popular with CRT guys. It wouldn't surprise me if many of them enjoy chilling out with their buddies while they either make their selection or wait for their favorita to finish up with her previous client. If you're not a CRT'er that might not appeal to you so much and many guys probably want to just get in their, make their selection, have their session and get out.

As for the girl snubbing you, here's my theory. The reason so many CRT guys rave about the place is that for them it has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. They become regulars or come in with other regulars. The girls know them and give them better sessions, leading to good reviews and more customers. One shouldn't have to be a regular to get a good session at a place, but to a certain extent it probably happens at all places more or less.

So how can I pull this all together and wrap it all up? Forget about moderator bias, unless he runs the board with an iron grip and muzzles any report he disapproves of, that will be eventually drowned out by the consensus of its members. The bigger problem at many boards is the tendency towards "group think" or "herd mentality". Even this board is not immune to it.

It happened at CRS with its love of New Fantasy (heavily encouraged by the Admin) and its love/hate of the Morazon. The Morazon story was a sad one. It used to be considered by many veteran CRS'ers to be THEE Hotel to stay at. This was before the Prez remodeled or the SL was even a gleam in Bill's eye. Then one heavily posting asshole overpromoted it, irritating nearly everyone on the board until they left for CRT. Add in a few over-reported incidents of fouled up reservations and practically overnight the Morazon went from "in" to "out". There were few fencesitters in that debate.

At CRT, and by extension here as well, places like the Prez and the SL have become the "in" places to the point that many guys act like there are no other places to stay. Its because that's what they've read, thats what their friends have said, that's what they expect and then when they go there they wind up feeling the same way and reporting back so the next wave of mongers repeat the same process. I mean the places might be great. But if they're always booked out, is it really so horrible to have to stay at the Morazon, the Gran Via, the Amon Plaza, Castillos, etc. etc. C'mon no place is that great.

The herd mentality can work both ways. I already explained how that happened with the Morazon Another example is with Kamur, a fairly nice tico strip club as far those type places go. It became quite popular with CRTers for a while, thanks largely to a very good discount deal, which is still in effect. A VIP card gets you free admission, your first drink free with no minimum. So if you didn't go crazy on drinks, stick to 3 song private dance for $10 and limited yourself to arranging after hours meetings with the girls you could have a real good time. The initial reviews were a little mixed but for the most part most CRT'ers loved the place. Then one guy reported an unfortunate incident where he went overboard on drinks and a deceptive aspect of their drink pricing came to light and everyone turned on the place. Of course, one should always be careful about running up a large tab in any strip joint and if you were not a wild-spender nothing had really changed at Kamur. But the word was out. Incidentally the fact that the admins had also secured some good discounts at Tango India and Pantera Rosa didn't help Kamur either.

I just find it amazing how so many guys always seem to see things as either being the cat's pajamas or simple and outright dogs. And then how so many other guys seem to follow suit.

As for being naive to that possibility, I agree with you and for that reason I never post anything that I would care if a chica read it. But many guys are not so circumspect. And while you can never be sure what might get back to "your girl", most girls usually lack the computer skills, language ability or more rarely basic awareness of how to find these boards to come here on their own. So there is a world of difference between taking your chances on the rare girl that finds her way here and can make any sense out of any of what is written, let alone find posts referring to herself, and some guy actually helping them find their way here in some sort of attempt to curry favor with that chica.

Don't get me wrong. I don't really see anything that wrong with a guy helping out a chica in promoting her business proposal. I think it would have been better if he just posted it for her along with a review or recommendation on his part as to the girl's performance quality etc. (and he still could have kept back identifying details if that was the girl's desire). Unfortunately, I've also heard other tales where some guy reports back details to certain girls that get those guys in hot water with their "novias", (how they were really coming to town 3 days earlier than they said and would be at the Prez, or how they made fun of their RFM on the board, or how they ducked her call and went out the night before with another chica... you get the idea). These chicas get jealous and gringos fall into their games. Its stupid but it happens.

I had just been with a young lady only a bit earlier so I really wasn't on the make or trolling. While I am talking in comes this totally cute, hot little spinner, with a killer body, very healthy rack, but small waist and perfect ass, wearing really low slung jeans. She had long blond, straight hair and a killer face. She sat right next to me at the bar for maybe 30 minutes. We did not strike up a conversation as I was not in the market, but she was gorgeous.

The following night I was a bit under the weather, plus I was also waiting on a friend. Into the SL bar walks the same cute knock-out little blonde chick. I mean this girl is gorgeous and no one seemed to hit on her at all. I heard her use the name Gloria one time.

Hello all heard my handle mentioned by my good friend Chase Star so though I would chime in.I do personally prefer more the local scene with fewer gringos.Zona Blue does have good talent these days if you like the scene but for me to much a gringo scene.However,some of the girls they brought over fomerly from Oasis will blow your socks off and are some of the best to be found in San Jose.

Myself personally for that price range I prefer Idem as it is a little more local though still many gringos.Now to my favorite choice , it hasn't changed in over a year, just has gotten better as I have found more places in the area.That would be Oasis which was a little light on talent last trip due to the exodus of the best girls to Zona Blue as well as the outher 5 or 6 places in that neighborhood all in the 10000 to 12000 col. price range for an hour.In my opinion it is the best value for quality girls in San Jose.Should have some things to report after my 13th trip next weekend.Seven days and counting

I like IDEM too. However, I sort of put it in a different class than ZB even though it's in the same price range. I'll admit that besides their rates the addition of the bar at ZB has blurred some of those differences. The main reason I look at them differently is that ZB, like its less expensive rivals, is primarily a day time venue. ZB is open 9AM until 9PM during the week but I usually prefer to catch the girls at the beginning of their shift rather than at the end. If I'm not there first in line, then right before lunch but after the whole crew has reported in for work is good time to go. In contrast, IDEM doesn't even open until 3PM and many girls don't start showing up until 5 or 6PM. I usually like to go there around between 5 and 7PM for a "cock-tale" before dinner, though I've also been there as late as midnight when they close.

There are some other interesting comparisons between ZB and IDEM. Though maybe not as high as ZB, IDEM drink prices are not exactly the cheapest in SJ either. IDEM also charges for condoms, so bring your own. Its not a huge amount but its the principle. I mean for what they charge you'd think they wouldn't have to tack on an extra 1K that way. It seems so petty. The other interesting apparent similarity with ZB is that IDEM has always had the same sort of "school dance" guys on one side girls on the other that Dodger says has developed at ZB. That's actually one of the things I like about IDEM. Don't get me wrong, I like being groped and propositioned as much as the next guy at places like the BM, but there are times where I want to be able to just sit back, relax, sip my bottled water, chill out and leisurely make my selection without being hassled or pressured. Even at the other MP's you're just standing there, with not a lot of opportunity for interviewing and you pretty much have to make a snap decision. At IDEM, the girls are all seated along the right side wall. You order your drink have a seat and inspect your options. When you see a likely prospect you make eye contact and motion her over and you can still ask her a few questions, perhaps buy her a drink And if you don't like what you hear you can always throw her back and try another before you make your final decision with whom to go upstairs.

If you are gonna park yourself in Gringo Gulch and stay there, it is not worth having a car, because you can get anywhere in the Centro in a cab for $3.

However, you should know that Costa Rica is a beautiful country, and San Jose is the ugliest part. If you want to get out of town, go to Jaco, Poas Volcano, etc., this is an excellent deal. If you are coming into CR for the first time, this is also an excellent deal for the first night, as Shirley can come pick you up, in lieu of the $20 cab, show you around, and stay the night for $200, then you can decide to stay with her, meet one of her friends, or go independent. Anyway, you are welcome to call her yourselves, at (011-506 from the USA, then) 381-9091. This is her cellphone, and it costs her to receive calls, so please be nice and don't waste her time. I just wanted to comment on the Shirley deal, and on some of the responses. First I would like to say that if its $200 for 24 hours of whatever you want, with a ride, while a little high, is probably not so bad. I would like to see some pictures of the friends, and to know what the asking price is for 24 hours. Forget the car. It's just too dangerous to f*** and drive!

Next I would like to say that if you think the chicas are too dumb to get on here and read what we are saying, then I think you are just fooling yourself. I have two girls that I chat with regularly via e-mail, and they are certainly savvy enough to run a browser and even find translation sites. If you don't speak Spanish I could see where you might be able to condescend to thinking that the girl you are with is less intelligent than you, but I have learned enough Spanish to realize, that with few exceptions, these girls are not stupid.

They may not have the same levels of education that the typical monger does, but when it comes to native intelligence and street smarts they will run circles around most of us.

Rather than believe that this forum is our secret conduit for information exchange, I would rather assume that it is being read by the chicas. You can tell this guy has bothered to do any reading here since he has reserved at the Don Carlos. The Don Carlos is a nice hotel that I've actually stayed at a few times, but it is NOT chica friendly. You used to be able to bring chicas back later at night after all the ecotourists had gone to bed, but no more. They have a new female manager who is very down on our type of tourism.

If you still insist on staying at the Don Carlos, I recommend that you reserve room #10. All you need to do is look out your balcony and you will see New Fantasy MP directly across the street, which is a good thing since all your mongering will have to be done at places like that, since you won't beable to bring anyone back. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with a girl making some extra money on the side or for me to want to see her outside of the MP setting, particularly if she worksher full shift and I continue to give that MP business at other times. However,like 2666 has said practically speaking I don't see what Eddie can really rightly do about it assuming he even finds out without stepping over an already shaky moral/legal barrier. Is he getting paid for renting rooms and passing on to the chica her share of the total fee or is he really collecting money from gringos so they can have sex with those chicas and in turn paying those chicas for that? i don't want to be in the position of defending zb's policy because i disagree with and agree with you that the amount of business if any that this ends up "stealing" from zb is most likely negligible. however, you seem to take an equally extreme position, so i feel compelled to play the devil's advocate.

first of all if you really feel as you suggest that eddie is just some exploitive white-slaver pimp, then why do you even go at all to zb? to prospect? you're putting some money into a slaver's pocket if you do and supporting the very problem that you're complaining about.

secondly, white-slavery (aka trata blanca in colombia) is a serious problem worldwide and does brings devastation to those involved. however what is happening in the mp's of cr does not compare to what we know of as white-slavery. these aren't foreign nationals lured to this country with false promises of employment in some legitimate profession only to have their passports confirep001ed and forced to work to pay off inflated "handling charges". they aren't locked in the mp at night or forced to work there during the day. just like the independents at the hdr/bm the mp chicas chose to work where they do and they have alternatives.

third, pimping is a slightly different matter. it is illegal in cr so that women are not exploited and guys do not profiteer unfairly from their services (or sometimes, as in the infamous monge case, other women). these mp's operate openly so apparently they must satisfy the legal requiements. is it pimping? that is certainly debatable. is it illegal? apparently not.

fourth, eddie is not just freely skimming money that is really earned by the girls. he has invested a lot of money into the physical plant by providing session rooms w/showers, steamrooms, sauna, bar, internet access etc. in short, a pleasant secure and clean environment for guys to comfortably select chicas and enjoy her company without having to take her back to their hotel. he also provides recourse if the session turns out badly and in fact minimizes that risk by preselecting and only retaining those chicas that provide decent sessions. you can take your luck with the crapshoot at the bm or you can spend half your night prequalifying the chicas you meet there or you can go to zb walk in make a pick within minutes if not seconds and be fairly sure you'll have a good session. in order to do this, eddie also has to spend for advertising, utilities, salaries for non-service staff (cleaning, reception, security, etc), insurance, taxes, permits and fees. he didn't do all that just to break even either and he didn't do it to provide an introdcution service so that both parties can take advantage of it and bypass him on all future dates. he has a right to expect to turn a reasonable profit and do whatever he can reasonably do to maximize that profit. you can debate what any of that is really worth to you, but those cost factors exist. we don't set the price and if we don't like the terms we can go elsewhere.

the zb girls are explained the rules when they accept employment there. whether you or i or them think the rules are unreasonable is besides the point. they agreed to them. if they get caught breaking them, then they have to accept any consequences. no one held a gun to their head when they agreed to the rules in order to work there. like any other girl they were free to choose whether to work there or at some other more lax mp or to freelance at the bm or to get a more mainstream but lower paying job. they chose zb.

It sounds like there are many other reasons why you seem to have something against ZB besides their employment policies. So you should understand why you're willingness to go there would be different from yours. As I said, I share your preference for prospecting and doing takeout and going to the less expensive tico places which allow you to do that more easily. BTW, I know what you are referring to at Kamur and agree that policy is a completely indefensible scam, but Kamur is actually one place which has posted publicly that they'd actually PREFER you to make arrangements with the girls OFF-SITE than to use their rooms. However, I also occasionally check out ZB and pay the higher fee for a slightly different MP experience and many guys prefer the safer cleaner environment, having s/t 1 hour sessions and the consistent high quality of girls at places like ZB and don't mind paying the price. I will add my take on this debate for what it is worth. I don't have anything against Zona Blue and have been treated well there but have complained about the overpriced drinks. Of course, I don't drink many for them anyway. I only very ocasionally have a session there as I like places less or not at all frequented by gringos. Sorry to say but, I found ZB to be really over priced and the selection of chicks isn't that good either nor are the GFE type. Where as Oasis has a descent selection of chicks but, the facilities isn't the best. I'm sorry to here about your bad session at ZB. Whatever else I'd have to say about ZB, I'd at least have to say that I've always had GFE quality sessions there (or as GFE-like as any MP session can be). How many times have you been to ZB? Did you have more than one bad session there? Or just one bad session and never went back? I think this is probably an isolated case or else one of YMMV.

NF used to be really good, especially before ZB opened up. The last couple of times I went to NF, I was thoroughly underwhelmed (e.g. the selection of chicas was poor when I went there and was limited to CBJ's once in the rooms, etc.). First of all, it is generally cheaper since part of your money is going to some agencies overhead (as little as $100/day plus expenses). I'm guessing since this is your first post that it is also your first trip to CR, which is the only reason I threw out the escort idea to begin with.

Third, and this is a problem with either prearranged escorts, girls recommended by other guys, or ones you pick up out of a lineup your first night at the BM, you never really know how you will interact with a girl spending 48 hours with her as opposed to a 2 hour date. You might hit it off fine in the sack for an hour so, but after spending every waking minute with her for 2 days, you might be counting the minutes until you can send her packing. If you haven't been with a girl before it is even more important to do a thorough interview/trial before you commit to taking her away for a few days. I was in Jaco about a year and a half ago . The only place I knew of is the famous "Beatle Bar" located right on the main strip. (Jaco is one strip). It's a hooker pick up joint and an American style sports bar. The gringos who go can be a little crude (not all) so be polite and you'll get alot further.

The girls will ask for $100 you can get the average girls for $50. I always promote average for better sex. There is hotels nearby for short term but it will probably cost you around $20 unless your hotel allows them. I made the mistake of staying at the Best Western where they wanted to charge me $50 a guest to bring someone in for 2 hours. I also noticed they had a Costa Rican price that was much lower. To be honest I'm no fan of Costa Rica although it is beautiful. The gringo rip off thing is very much in affect down there. Too bad.

I also know that there are discos on the beach that they go to as well in Jaco. Everything is right there just start at "Beatle Bar" and the rest will follow.

Prices in CR have been on the increase, i'm sure 10 years ago it was great. Now its truly been gringolized. I think its time to explore other parts of latin america. Thats where this forum rocks. I find phentolamine mesilate very efficient. Formerly Vasomax, withdrawn in the US under FDA/Pfizer pressure, now sold in Brazil as Vasoviril. Works differently from Viagra, Cialis, Levitra etc. If you go through Brazil, buy it!

Where did you hear that Vasomax was withdrawn in the US by the FDA under Pfizer pressure? That may be true but what I have read is that the FDA placed Vasomax on clinical hold after a two-year study in rats uncovered the spread of an abnormal fatty-tissue development (a follow-up study showed no such problem, but the drug remains on partial clinical hold). This drug was initially developed by a tiny Texas biotech firm called Zonagen. They had partnered with Schering-Plough to market and distribute it. SP chose to pull out when Vasomax ran into regulatory problems. Pfizer may have a lot of clout with the FDA, but no more so than would SP. Also, Vasomax is targeted at men who for one reason or another can't take Viagra, so I don't see where Pfizer would be that concerned with whether it gets approval or not, particularly with Cialis, Levitra and other products already out on the market. I suspect this is really just the typical FDA bureaucratic overabundance of caution that gets applied to all new drugs.

As for Vasomax itself, its future remains very cloudy in the US and it does not look like it will ever get approved here. A similar application was withdrawn in the UK. Schering Plough was quick to cut its losses and Zonagen if it is still around is trading for a tiny fraction of what it was back in 1998 when this whole thing started. OTOH, as you pointed out, some form of Vasomax HAS been approved in Brazil and Mexico.

There is some other info on this drug that members here should know about. Like Viagra, it works by increasing bloodflow to the penis, however it does so by a different mechanism than does Viagra and its other current competitors. As such, it is hoped it will work in the 30% of men for which Viagra is ineffective. However it should be pointed out that Vasomax itself has been shown to work in only 25-40% of its own test subjects. Keep that in mind before you stock up on a 15-trip supply of the stuff. If you do decide to try it, test it out on yourself first. I've also read that Vasomax works much faster than Viagra, for whatever that is worth. Perhaps, XXL could also give us an idea of how long it works for, what dosage he normally takes to acheive those results and how it compares in cost per dose to Viagra and other products. Finally, the other MAJOR thing going for Vasomax is that it can be used by men with heart conditions that take nitrates which is a VERY dangerous combination with Viagra.

In short, Vasomax could be a good alternative from Viagra like products WHEN IT WORKS particularly for those guys for whom Viagra does not work at all or who can't take Viagra for safety reasons.

Personally, stiffies are no problem for me until maybe the 4th or 5th chica of the day. A bigger problem is even if I get an "artificial" blue-pill erection I only have so much supply of leche. So what's the point? Show me an FDA approved pill for that which really works and I'll be rushing down to Brazil to stock up.

First of all, I never said I didn't like photos. Some I do and some I don't. Being able to see Shirley's pic was very useful. What I said is that "taking trophy photos is not my thing", ie I'm not into POSTING photos. I prefer to make contributions to this forum in other ways.

Secondly, you claim to use the photos here so you can know "who to avoid and who to use", but have you ever actually been with or avoided any chica based on a photo you've seen here? I seriously doubt it. Try studying a picture for a couple of minutes of some unnamed colombiana from the BM that some guy took a few months ago and then try to match that up a few months from now when you finally make your trip with a chica who, if she hasn't already returned to Colombia, has dressed differently and may even have changed her hairstyle and even haircolor. Thank you for moving this to this section as this is certainly where it more appropriately belongs. As far as I'm concerned, however, the subject is already dead. Frankly, if someone like Jaimito or you had made the comment, I definitely would have "lightened up and played along" and just let it go. Coming from a guy who posts nothing but complaints and never anything constructive, it just struck me as very nervy to complain about anything when he's basically just a user beholden to everyone else for information. If you've made constructive contributions of your own in the past, you've earned the right to make constructive suggestions of others. If all you do is lurk and absorb the information donated by others, IMHO, you've earned no such right and should be prepared to take the bad with the good. As for starting more threads, I'm not sure how many can really be added. the nature of the software this forum uses is much different than it is at some other forums like CRT. Posts are added to the top of one long thread. At other places posts are added to the bottom of a much wider variety of shorter threads. I recall one member complaining recently after the restaurant thread was added. So you can never really please everybody.

I have been here 2 days. I had a very good experience at Vips. Met a Tica there named Claudia. Provided great service, CBJ but really nice technique and a really nice body. In general, there don't seem to be many specials to Central America from anywhere in US right now. If you're flying out of LAX, as your post suggests, the chances are that at this time the difference in airfares to BKK vs. SJO is not very great (maybe $200 tops). Have you ever flown to the far east before? Cost is not the only consideration. Flying to BKK is a loooonnnnggg flight even from the west coast and the 9 hour time difference can wreak havoc with your system for the first day or more. If you're going for 2 weeks or more that may be no big deal. If you're planning to go for only a week, as your post also suggests, you might want to think take that into consideration.

I have been to both CR and Thailand. CR has lot more variety (in terms of body types). Many spinners in Thailand (not that I am complaining). But in sheer numbers, Thailand has a lot more options. If you really crave variety, you can test drive a CIS girl. Prices are cheaper all around in Thailand as well.

In terms of service, Thailand is hard to beat. The girls are really eager to please you and are disappointed when you don't "finish." Also, the variety of action venues is greater in Thailand.

If you have never been to Thailand, at those prices, I recommend going there.

It's high season now in CR, so no bargains. I think UA is cutting back service as well.

You're looking at $500 or so with tax from most of the LA airports. About what it was 4 or 5 years ago. In the last year there were many sales in the $200-$250 plus tax range, however.

Gas prices are coming down and the summer off-season travel rates for CR should return in just a few more months.

Thanks for the input Gang. I know it's a long flight but for these prices, regardless if we are only there for 8nights- 10 night total. I actually live in Texas but have many free southwest tickets from work to get me to LAX.

I also have been to HKG and Taipei for work before and sure the jetlag gets to you, but what the hell..I'm on vacation and during Spring Break too.

Personally, i have been going to CR for over 10 years and I get to go to Buenos Aires often for work. I sure love the Latin Ladies but figured it might be time to finally see the Land of Smiles at those airfare rates, considering CR is running 550 those weeks.

Well only 17 days to XMAS.

Had a great Thanksgiving trip. Too busy to ever set foot into ZB, NF or the Sportman's Club.

I decided too try other places and just walk around. Out for the evening I started at Bella Masion. 1000 got me in the door and my 1st beer. Beside the regular's I met a 18 & 19 yr old who had been in the business about 2 weeks.

At 8000 - 10000 a go they were a deal. Willing to please and learn.

Headed out to Club Monaco and as I was passing the old shut down Josefine's I was beakened into a New place called Bar Tanga.

It was like girls night gone wild. I was the only Gringo in the place and I had a ball. Small pole dance area; very up-close and personal.

Drinks were a 1000 per beer 1500 for the dames. 2000 for a well drink for the girls. Music was good and loud but they were willing to turn it down so you could here what you were saying to each other.

Girls were 10,000 - 15000. I elected take out service and had a great session at my Hotel with a muy bonita / flacka Nancy. Her sister Maribel was as nice.

I never made it to Club Monaco.

My hats off to Angelo of Pension Europe 2000. Not only did he have a great selection but he has started a Hotel Park kind of show on Friday & Saturday nights upstairs from Alcazar. Thats across from Lipstick. The place is very clean and has rooms to rent during the day and night.

Sisters Paula & Alisia stated the show off. There were about 10 girls in attendance 6 -10's depending on your standards. From my conversations the girls were freelanceing before going to work at Scarlett's, Kamur, Pantara Rose and I guess a few had gone home to freashen up after a day at Oasis.

Beers were 1000 - 1500.

I met Tim who had just bought Casablanca. The new name of the place is Centerfold's. The girls were 7 - 10's with a couple of the origional dancers still in residence. Tim even brough back Elaine who had started there in 03 and had been manageing the Doll House as house manager. Her English is great. Hes off to a great start and I wish him well.

Drinks for the girls started at 3500. 2000 admission inclueded your first beer.

Talk to Tim and introduce yourself. He has a VIP program for people who visit SJ 4-5 + times a year. Plus there is an old guy (Mario) out on the streets of the Gulch handing out 2X1 drink cards.

The Old Central Massage on Calle 4 that was burned out has been re built and the name is now Ros Gris. Girls are Hit or Miss, But at 10000 worth the visit. Plus if its raining you can call for TAKE OUT.

The New York Bar was a nice place to see and visit some of the girls from the old Park Hotel. Edis is now between there and the Sportsmans Club.

At 10000, 12000 & 15000 worth the visit. The kitchen is still one of the best in SJ for a snack.

A trip to SJ just would not be complete without a visit to 6th street.

If you go to San Jose with a girl, I don't recommend the downtown area that contains hotel Presidente and del Rey. Go to the turist areas that has the 4 and 5 star hotels with beachfront. If you bring a girl to the downtown area, she will definitely see other mongers with girls and I really don't think she will like that.

I agree with Viper on this one. Why reveal to your GF what goes on in the Gulch? The Prez may have non-mongers, but there are enough old gringo guys going in and out of there with young chicas that even a blind woman could figure out what is going on. Even staying at a more purely mainstream tourist hotel would not prevent her from seeing what goes on as guys walk their "Novia del noche" back to their hotels.

Barrio Amon is nice and quiet, but it is not that far from the Gulch. Probably at some point when taking a cab or going somewhere you both will pass through the Gulch. Maybe she won't notice, but why take a chance. If you're still interested in this area, nice mainstream hotels include the La Amistad, (the SL is great but not for couples), Castillo and Hemingway (both budget-end), the Don Carlos (my personal favorite downtown non-monger hotel), the Dunn Inn and the Amon Plaza (Clarion). I've taken my family to the Don Carlos and the women loved it. My mom probably wouldn't have even noticed what the DR was if my stupid brother didn't keep knowingly ask me "What's that place?" with a stupid smirk on his face everytime we drove by it.

You might also consider going just a little further north (on the other side of the river) into the Barrio Tournon. The Hotel Villa Tournon is a nice hotel that is very close (within walking distance) of El Pueblo with all its restaurants, bars and clubs. It sounds like more of a family hotel, but I believe they have a pool if that matters to you.

Sabana/Rohrmoser is also nice being close to the large park but not as many hotel options. The Hotel Corobici on the corner of the park is in an ugly building that used to be the Playboy Club, but is supposed to be much nicer on the inside with an atrium, etc. A little closer to town is the Paseo Colon area. I don't know what yor budget is but the Hotel Grano D'Oro is very nice. Machu Pichu restaurant (excellent Peruvian food) is just up the street on the other side of Paseo Colon and if you can sneak away for an hour or so Oasis MP is directly across the street from Machu Pichu in an extremely inconspicuous building. The Hotel Petit Vitoria is in the same area and is a less expensive B&B.

I'm not sure what sort of "clubs and shopping" you are looking for, but if you want upscale shopping and fancy restaurants that is away from the traditional mongering routes, Viper has the best suggestions about checking out Escazu. I can't really help you out with any suggestions in that area. You also might want to check out the newly re-opened White House (formerly Tara) in the hills above Escazu overlooking the valley. Their restaurant is supposed to be very good and the views are outstanding. The BW Irazu is along the hwy into town from the airport. It is okay if you want US Hotel chain consistency but is a bit rundown and lacking in any character. There is nearby shopping and a Denny's in the hotel itself. I've stayed there once and lets just say was not overly impressed.

I would never bring my girlfriend or loved one to San Jose. Unfortunately to me its a gem but, most "normal" people would say that its on the opposite end. Its probably one of the best cities in Central America but, thats not saying too much. If you want to see cities stay in North America, Europe or Asia. Though I've heard BA is really nice and safe. I feel most women wouldn't really like the urban latin american enviroment. Its something to see and experience but, not for a long stay with a loved one. Ladies love beaches, pools, scenic stuff etc which downtown SJO does not have to offer.

How much is the cab from the airport? The woman at the desk told me $12 over the phone so I have the hotel driver collecting me for $16. I thought I would go for it without knowing the cost for sure. What do you gentleman say?

It was $12 from the airport to downtown via the Orange cabs when I was there last October. I know taxi rates went up, but from the airport they were supposed to remain stable. Tip the driver and you come out about the same as having the hotel pick you up.

$12 from the airport and no need for a tip. Certainly not a 25% one. Cab drivers are not normally tipped at all in CR. I usually just pay with 1K notes and 500c & 100c coins and let the driver keep the small change. Give the cabbie a buck a bag extra for your trip from the airport if that makes you feel better and you'll still come out ahead of $16. There is no real reason to use the hotel driver, particularly seeing as though the hotel is right on Paseo Colon and is easy to find and it will cost $4 more.

Since you're staying in that area you should definitely check out Oasis MP (also VIPS, Veronicas and Manitas) and Machu Pichu Restaurant

This poor guy Sheriff just shows his relative ignorance and all you can do is mock him? Your subtlety probably went completely over his head and it certainly doesn't help out any other ignorant newbies from making the same mistakes.

For those of you that haven't figured it out, the "Zona Rosa" is a term used by some that refers the "Red Zone" or area in SJ (and other major latin american cities for that matter) that contains a concentration of "adult businesses" (bars, brothels, MP's etc). It is not a particular place that you can find or that opens and closes. OTOH, one can find many places in that general area that offer hour sessions for 10-12K colones (about $20-25/hr) or even less.

OTOH, Sheriff got the figures about right on the Del Rey. Its just that he didn't really add anything on that score that isn't already common knowledge on this board. I'm guessing that the $8 fee for a "dirty room" that he was referring to was the short-term Hotel Asia, since he revealed in an earlier post that he was staying way out by the airport. Obviously, any guy that does even a modicum of research here knows that there are other places to stay that are much closer to the action and which don't charge anything extra to bring back chicas over what they're already paying for their nightly stay. The fact that he still stayed where he did (and never got beyond the BM and NF) shows that he never really did his homework before he went.

What else? He popped his load in 10 minutes and was surprised to find he couldn't get a second pop out of the girl? This just shows he didn't do any homework AFTER he got there either. If he had done his homework, both before and during his trip, he'd have known he should have made it clear AHEAD of time what he was paying for. Always ask "una hora completo" in the bar and then only pay when you're done and got what you bargained for. If you're at an MP, the hora completo is already understood. But one should STILL ask in either situation "Muchas veces?" (pronounced "bay-ses") or "Muchos orgasmos para mí (y usted)?" Most girls will provide a full hour with as much activity as you can fit into that time (within reason), particularly if you don't go at them slam bam thank you mam and come in the first 10 minutes. But certainly there are also many that will try to get away with doing as little work as possible (which is again why you always have to do your homework). That look in the girl's eyes wasn't surprise that he was suddenly asking for a 2nd pop but rather surprise that he came so quick and she wouldn't have to work any harder because she never promised anything more than she had already delivered.

You're right. He probably meant Zona Blue. It was hard to figure a lot of what he meant but its much more likely he was referring to the other of the main gringo-oriented MP's than to the tico places on calle 6.

BTW, for other newbies, Rebel raises another good point. If you try to take a taxi to Zona Blue, the cabbie may try to convince you the place is closed (but just so happens to know a "better" place not too far away). Don't believe him. Also if he does take you there, don't let him try to walk in with you and convince the management that it was him that suggested the place to you in the first place. These guys will try all sorts of things to get commission payments, which invariably gets passed back on to the unsuspecting. Zona Blue has run into problems with guys claiming commissions who don't deserve it and rather than just pass it on to their clients they're fighting back. The result is that some cabbies try to steer you to other more "cooperative" places. One of the worst MP's in this regard is Eros, across the street from IDEM. If you take a cab there, either wait until they drive away before you go inside or check out IDEM first and go to Eros afterwards.

Well, you must be a very good looking guy or one with a very special taste. If you haven't found any good looking girl (or "fuckable" as you quote it) in the Blue Marlin bar, I guess you stayed at the wrong bar. Furthermore, the girls are not bad there, but very often they act in the same way as they are treated.

By the way: I fully agree that San Jose is not a very nice city. It's definitely not the place to hang around for more than 2 - 3 days.

Well....i started to write a response to your post...however i stopped due to the fact, i know CHASE STAR will take care of you bad mouthing our fun land...if you would of read more posts before going ,95% of the things you didnt like are all in black and white in the 1000"s of posts on these pages so you would of know what to expect..my first trip, some of the items you said i felt also, (kids on the streets, maybe its not safe) but as many have wrote before ...where ever you are in the world keep your wits about you and use your head.

My friend and I visited San Jose for the first time in July. We stayed at the Corrobici, which was a nice hotel but they charged a big fee for bringing in chicas. We went to the Del Rey during the day and at night. My impression was there were fewer and better looking women during the day. At night it was crowded and the women looked more hardend. We also got tired of the chicas sitting with us and hounding us while we were scoping out the scene and enjoying our beer. this happend mostly at night.

I am going back sometime next year and would like a recommendation of a decent hotel in the area. I also wanted to hit a strip joint or two. I seen a few billboards but never found any. Any info would be appreciated.

Just got back from my 5th visit since March of this year a little after midnight this morning. I too had some reservations about returning again when I compare the experience here to the experience at FKK World in good old Deutschland. The women at that club, and at all clubs similar to that in Germany, all walk around completely nude. If they expect to generate business, they better have first class bodies and the majority of them do. In San Jose, when I take a chica to the back, I have been surprised many times with stretch marks, scars and a lot of other things that make me just close my eyes and have them just suck me off and get me off and get me outta there. But then again, this is another part of the world. This is third world. It was much cheaper coming down here before air fares skyrocketed. The pussy is still a lot less expensive than Germany and USA. Fuck! The prices here for the quality of the chicas in Deutschland is outrageous.

I go to CR for the convenience and the low prices, and especially the no jet lag like I get traveling to Europe. I finally found my first ten, and I do mean a definate 10, on this trip at Oasis. A truly beautiful latin girl with all the stereotypical features. Dark hair, dark eyes, dark skin. Tall, 18, little firm titties that stood straight out, and awesome body that...like they say....she was built like brick shit house. I had seen this girl before at Oasis, but got the impression she didn't want to session with me, but with all the other hot girls there, I just picked someone else. During one of these other sessions I asked who was the youngest girl in the house and I was given her name. On another visit I asked the boss who the girl was. He called her out, and I said I'll take it. We went to the back, and she tried to get out of the session by saying she knew I liked BBBJ, and she didn't do them. I got tired of doing tours with other tourists so I hired a cab driver once and had another individual tour arranged by an agency. One on one with these people for a great length of time and they really tell you their sad stories. I covered lunch on these tours and I like to eat well. They make no secret of telling you the only time they eat that well is when they get this type of business.

I finally took a chica took my room and gave her a bunch of shit I accumulated on the trip. A bottle of Scotch, a cowboy hat souvenier from the horse festival parade they had in San Jose the day after Christmas, a banana, a chocolate bar, she liked my shirt, I gave it to her dirty. It seemed no matter what I put in front of her she would take it. I could have packaged shit in a little box and put it in front of her and she would have taken it. Sad. And of course during the night she tried to get away with as little as possible, but hey!, that's the fucking game. If they could do something else, I'm sure they would. I mean, would you like to suck strange dick all day for a living?

I still like San Jose and probably will go back again although I have already started researching prices for Europe.

An interesting exhibit I found downtown San Jose is the Gold Museum exhibit. I found it to be very fascinating as I am interested in what these countries were like before the conquests. The indigenous people were very talented craftsman in that age. There is so much gold in this exhibit it is on display in a bank vault.

I have already mentioned TOPE, the display of show horses. The next day they had Carnival. That too was a lot of fun. Lots of fine looking girls on the street that day too, and not only in the parade. On a previous visit there was some religious thing going on in town about their patron saint. Always something happening in that city. However, I do speak some Spanish so I can get a little closer to the people. In fact, the chica that sold me my tour with the private van driver, that worked for a travel agency....worked up the nerve to call me at my hotel room to wish me a Happy New Year and invite me over for a little "whiskey-sito". She is a young, unmarried, macha, with a plain face, a little on the chubby side, but legs that could choke a horse. In fact that's what pulled me into her office in the first place. The long legs and the short skirt. It's a killing combination for a weak fucker like me.

In a few days I'll be over whatever little hangup I have about the poverty and remind myself not to get to close to the natives. Just go down and fuck and exploit their women. Be my natural selfish self and just get what I want, dog that I am.

I will never go down to Rio. I know they are even poorer than what I see in CR. The trip down there is also too fucking long. And I know they can't stand Americans, at least that's what their government is insinuating. Anyway, for the time length of travel to go to Rio....being the same amount of time it takes me to get to Germany....then shit....it's no contest. Germany wins hands down all the time.
