When I presented at emergency with my condition they summonsed the relevant specialist.

After grabbing your luggage, as you depart the Customs area, in the hallway, turn right and walk towards the elevators (ask a guard where the elevator is if you need, its at the end of the hallway). Just prior to the elevator, on your left, is:
1) A money changer booth; and.
2) Globe and Smart sim card booths.
Exchange a quick $100-$200 US dollars at the money changer. Unlike money changers in airports of other countries, there is no service fee. The exchange rate will be similar to those changers on the street (a small possible loss to you will be 1-2% on the exchange rate ($1 - $2 dollars total) over a street changer. Disadvantage: you lost $2. Advantage: You are inside a guarded and well-protected area; there is no threat of being robbed in this place. Note these words from The Rose:
"Pick the one that has the best place to count and pocket your money away from the eyes of the beggars. Oh, BTW if someone ever makes an offer that is too good to be true, it is too good to be true. There is a money changer in Manila who is a Houdini and your money will disappear. All part of the learning curve. "
Changing money at the airport is safe from these things (most money changers on the street are also safe, assuming you don't exchange your money and then forget to count it right there and put it away in your wallet BEFORE departing the place). Also keep in mind that the exchange place at NAIA is a chain (ForEx or such), they also don't want any trouble for you (it risks the chain's reputation, and risks their removal from the lucrative airport kiosk spot).
Get a Smart or Globe sim card in your phone and put a load on it right there. You can immediately start using it to contact your chicas or hotel.
Once you are safely ensconced in your AC hotel, you can easily find street money changers on Fields or nearby. Simply ask at your front desk and they will direct you to one. Some hotel front desks will also exchange your money, but you will receive less pesos than a street money changer. For example, while the street changers might be offering p49.5 - p50.5 to $1 US dollar today, the front desk might offer you p45 to $1 US dollar (a loss of about p4 per $1 to you, about 8% The hotel will later change your US dollars at a street changer and get back p50-ish, making a profit. They are charging you a convenience fee.
Note Rose' advice: When exchanging money at a street changer. Only choose a changer that has a door, and operates INSIDE the booth. Changing money while you are outside allows street folk to watch what you are doing. Go inside and inquire the exchange rate. Don't like the rate? Are you just rate-shopping? Feel free to walk away. If you are ok to the rate, hand over your currency (example US dollars). The exchanger might look over your bills to see if they appear counterfeit. He will then enter your dollar amount (say, $100) into his calculator, and multiply by his exchange rate (say, p50), and show you the result on his calculator (p5000). He will then count out the p5000 and hand it to you, and a receipt for p5000. It is then YOUR responsibility to count the p5000 to make sure its correct. If not, have him count it again for you, then YOU re-count it for correctness. Do NOT walk out of the place until you are sure. If you are not convinced the amount is correct (a rarity), ask for your US dollars back. Once you are sure your count is correct (p5000), put your money away to keep it hidden BEFORE you walk outside. The banks in the city also have weird ID requirements at the airports you may avoid the ID and paper signing requirements.
Always check the going rate and check for a variance in the going rate and the rate they give you I don't see how they can rip you off given you have an understanding of exchange rates.
I have actually made money changing dollars into local currency at the airport in some instances due to their rates not being updated and the mid day rate dropping at the airport where at the shops in the city will almost always be a lot more on top of this.
At the airport you also have a measure of anonymity in terms of the amount you exchanged as you will rarely see people from the airport at your destination.
I would actually say changing money in the city is much more dangerous and inconvenient than at the airport.
If i do change money in the city do it in a SM department store or Robinson's they offer currency exchange in their respective departments and its much more private than out on the street.

Annoys the hell out of me that most ATMs only let me take 10 k pesos or roughly $200 US dollars at a time. This may be sufficient for your needs. Just depends on your spending habits. I used an exchange at the SM mall once, also a pain in the butt, they wanted my passport, they were picky about the conditions of the bills and made me fill out a form. The anonymity and speed of the money changer on fields is just really convenient. I have also never received a fake bill.
In regards to the money changers, their rates are often very close to market and end up better when you have to factor in the ATM fee you pay. Novices should definitely heed advice and not use the money changers out in the open. I have never had a problem using them, but I have been to AC many times and have a good understanding of the area and the type of people to watch out for. It shouldn't be a problem if you are changing just enough for your needs.
Right now the rate is is hovering around 51.10 on the street. ABC hotel is exchanging at 50.50 not a huge difference.

What benefits are people seeing from relying on cash?It has been awhile since I reviewed the specifics of this issue but as I recall the exchange rate and transaction fees were pretty steep. Then, too I have had identity theft on my ATM card in the PI. Finally a couple of times the ATM machine retained my card and I had go through a lengthy Philippine rigamarole to get it back. The ATM machines aren't as reliable and we expect too much to believe they will operate as efficiently as they do back home. Yes, I keep cards as a backup. I was stranded for 70 days during the first of Covid in 2019 and ran out of cash. Even then one of my cards dishonored. I use cash, am cautious, and have been using the same mom and pop hotel for years.

I'm planning my next trip and wonder if I may get a better rate in Philippines.The PhP and the Malaysian ringgit would both be classed as thin currencies that are not much in relative demand compared to mainstream currencies like the Swiss franc and the Chinese yuan and the Japanese yen. Outside of say expat circles in the USA or Saudi, they would not be in much relative demand. One of the ways the USA coins is by making countries trade in US $ and destabilizing them, to cause capital flight to safe US havens where they can be expropriated.
The ringgit example you give is interesting. If there is not a major retail trade volume between the two, a Malate dealer would first exchange into $ and then into PHP, making you lose slightly. However, given the sheer level of Phil remittances and Malaysia and Phils are close, that may not be the case.

I haven't been in AC since 2020, but if Norma's are open they usually offer very good rates (as well as security when counting your money, as they have a guard posted just next to the tellers).

You will get a terrible deal if you are coming from the USA or Europe and trying to exchange currency at a bank or airport. Coming from Malaysia it would be better for you to convert your currency to USD or Euro before leaving, then Pesos once you are in Philippines. My cousin used to live in Malaysia because his wife is from there. He came to Thailand with Ringgit and people were looking at him crazy at the local exchanges. Nobody was in the market for Malaysian currency. Also I remember the horrible deal I got at the airport in Indonesia when I changed their currency directly into Thai baht.

I just looked at Australia's Westpac rate and the rate they give is 5% worse than Xe.com. Then add on their handling fee, branch fee, cash handling fee, facilitation fee, over the counter fee etc it's just not worth it for experienced travellers such as ISG members.
Best rates in Ph will always be for foreign cash.
I am sure there is advantages other than the direct exchange margin for money operators in Ph staying outside of regulated trading.
I recall lining up at a counter in Ph where the pretty girl in front of me had handfuls of various currencies to exchange to peso. Seems she had a multi-national good night.

So now I'm getting this pre-arrival list including "strictly no visitors". What is worse, when finecombing their reviews I see that some guys complain about actually being strict, so it may not even be flexible, PH-AC style.

Back in 2014 it was 42-$1. Barfines were 1200 pesos. And back in 2005 it was 55 pesos and BFs 1000 lol.
Value was slightly better back then, perhaps, but it's still good. The problem is more that the fiat dollar is on a slippery slope since Nixon abandoned the gold standard to "fix inflation". But maybe Brandon fixes this now.

Recently looking at a condo in Phils (I have rented different units in that Residence previously), I msg'd the host of a unit asking questions about it. The host replied promptly and professionally. Looking closer at his picture on airbb I realized that I knew him from a previous rental before and reminded him of that. "Oh yes Westy I remember you are in my unit in the other Residence". Hey, guy, you know that I am a senior citizen? "Yes". Does this current Residence allow seniors to rent? "No Westy not so". You were ready to take my money for a month's rent and cost me an airline ticket to go there, then turn me away at the door? "Sorry that. Its the policy of the Residence administration, and also the owner don't want any seniors during pandemic". Extremely telling: Part of the world thinks the pandemic is over, another part has no clue. Another telling item: Talking to some owners of units I discovered they themselves don't want any seniors renting during the pandemic. Reason: "What happens they will die in my unit from the Covid? Then I can't get the covid out from my unit? Who can stay there after?" If find that fascinatingly superstitious.
Host, it would be better to have mentioned that in the unit's description? "Yes". Can you also tell me the guest policy of this Residence and unit? "You renting studio for 2 people. You register yourself and your GF only like before. No outside guests allowed. No seniors. The owners they voted that". See? That Residence and owner are still stuck in no-guest land in that place (not in AC). "Westy I have other unit in the previous Residence. They accept seniors". Same guest policy? "Different. You register one guest your GF. Then you can bring in also one additional guest in the daytime only". Well, that's better, but certainly not up to the pre-pandemic standard.
A Residence in Malate has had this flip-flopping guest policy for the past year: At times, no outside guests (just you and your pre-registered GF). Later, 1 additional guest in the daytime, with ID and negative PCR test in the past 3 days. Later no additional guest. Later, 1 additional guest in the daytime, with ID and clear chest xray or covid test. Later, no additional guest. Later they opened the pool for guest use (1 family at a time, reserved in advance, no more than 4 people in the pool area). Later they stopped pool use. Later, 1 additional guest in the daytime, with valid ID, no medical documents required. Later, no additional guests. AND SO ON. Its torturous to watch in action. I rented overnights from this place a number of times when I wanted to take a regular because my Residence was not allowing additional guests in any way (at that particular time).
Another thought: Residence policies are sometimes voted on. At the start of the pandemic, owners came together to vote on these restrictions. Owners who didn't like these restrictions are out of luck. At what point can you get a quorum of said voters to "undo" these restrictions (or, vote on ANY topic)? These kinds of residences could be stuck for years in this lockdown mode.
The rest of the country will at some point fall in line, but who knows when that will be? I mean, look at all the extremely accurate predictions we made about the date (s) of re-opening the Phils to tourists. We started making those highly inaccurate guesses when the pandemic started, and we kept moving the dates further forward (like we knew what we were talking about).
Best bet, PN: Call the hotel in question and ask them their policy directly (saying it for the umpteenth time). Alternately follow the tip of the spear and stay in the exact hotels where we have good intel (ABC, CP). Other gents who know of recent hotels outside of AC with good ISG-friendly guest policies, please report (especially Manila). Alternately follow Goferring's advice of making your initial rental hotel for just 1-2-3 nights. Even if their guest policy sucks, it gives you a few days to walk the area and find a more guest-friendly place and transfer. I realize that is difficult advice for 2-week warriors.

And some guys complaining about a strict guest policy. It looked good in the pics, guess I was thrown off course a bit when my regular discrete ho-tel told me they're not open for business. Great I caught this issue some days before arriving so I can rebook, adapt, and overcome LOL.

Central Park has been excellent. Guests all day every day, whenever. Most of the staff, including the front desk girls, doesn't even wear masks now. The only difference is that the rooftop lounge closes around midnight now. It used to be a good place to take the girls after the bar.

I've had no clear guest policy from my Airbnb that I have used before. In pinoy terms I guess they can't bring them to say something that will offend the foreigner, so they stay silent.
It's relatively cheap compared to Hotels so I will take the Airbnb for two nights. That gives me a known place to arrive and drop bags on the first evening. I'll test the guest policy and then have all of the next day to relocate if needed. I am happy to burn a night accom, in return for not being out at midday with a hangover after my first night back in PH I can just use the room as a base while I confirm my future accom on the ground.
Like others that have posted we have spent years in AC and know the type of experience we want. It suits me to be further away from walking st.
It's not unheard of for guys with specific hotel wants and needs to rent two hotel rooms. One to suit their location or facilities requirements and another to suit mongering activities.
Obviously, this is much more suited to a ST shotgun approach rather than if you like to have someone stay over to handle the morning wood every night.

While there maybe family hotels who scoff at girls coming and going hotels in Balibago are historically open to guests. Some may control the number of guests at any given time (maybe because government covid regulations). Some hotels maybe are more scared of running afoul of government and afraid of being closed down. Some as others said here like ABC hotel follow no restrictions.
I generally call and make reservations and pay in cash if I am going angeles city. Now it maybe prudent to ask questions before booking.

It was good to get back to the ol stomping grounds for a few days after the long covid hiatus. Stayed at Orchid Inn and really only banged one beauty from Vikings despite their wide selection. On the one hand I think it would be a good opportunity to go to Angeles / Subic now because of the quietness and you get all the attention from the Filipinas.

However they can bulk up heavy and get westernized very fast if you try to keep one. I tried about 18 years ago with one who was a school teacher, and in the first month she was telling me what to do. Sent her back to the Phils. And did not marry her. Did not try domesticating a bar girl, but if she gets an attitude you can just say, "Hasta La Vista, Baby!" and move on to the next. A friend of mine brought one back and married her, had to kids with her and adopted her philippina friends as his, ate their food, got her a job at a local grocery store. About 8 years later I heard they got a divorce- she was the unfaithful one.

Same rate as 5 years ago, that's the last time I was there. I can't believe its been that long for me. I used to do PI several times a year back then. So with drinks and tips, p2000. These days, that is neither overpaying or underpaying. The entire economic system (s), world-wide, are in a real state of flux. Inflation runs rampant. Supply chain issues. And so on. P1000 is fine, and p5000 is fine (for now, considering the flux). I don't see any consensus on a going rate at this time (holy moly, I didn't really see one before the pandemic, I just saw various guys saying what they paid at the time, there was variety). Don't feel a need to compare your prices to others.

Can you point on this map to near to where you live? "Yes". She pointed to an area to the far east side of the city (clearly not near the river), when in fact she lived in the center, near the river, and she should have pointed to anyplace near the river.
This is not her fault. Western cultures teach geography and map-reading (distances, directions) in school. None of my regulars has ever encountered this kind of thing. They also don't drive vehicles, and are not aware of street signs and directions. Their geography is based on landmarks. The give directions like this: "If you want to go in McDonalds. You go that way (points with her finger) and then you will go in the Iglesia church and you go pass the church then you will that way (points left with her hand) and you will McDonalds". She will not specify how far past the church, or what street name, that you will turn left, to find the McDonalds. Nor will she discuss distances or time ("It is half kilometer" or "7 minutes walking", or such). She is also not used to walking that distance, she is used to taking a tryke that way. She can take you there (in a jeep / tryke), but she can't explain how to get there (in any language). Its like this in other countries also. Men are more likely to have had access to driving a bike or motorcycle, and are more knowledgeable on going someplace. But they are just as bad at distances, directions (north, south), and time it takes to get there. They speak in short phrases or a word or two at at time. Example, I asked a guy how to get to the Courthouse:
"Its there", (pointing with his hand south-east). What street to do I take to go there? "This one" (pointing south on the street where we were standing). When do I turn east? What street? "I do not know". I see, and how far will I travel on this street before I will turn east? "I do not know". Does this street curve to the east? "No". Once I turn left, how far will I travel to get to the Courthouse? "I do not know".
Switching the conversation to Spanish, in hopes of more information, got little better results. His first response was: "Es de esa manera" (its over there, pointing again south-east). All of his replies, even in the language he grew up with, were short phrases, or "No se" (I don't know). OTOH, when talking about breakfast, he joyfully rattled on about how he finds chorizo to be a bit too spicy when his wife mixed it with eggs.
Driving a vehicle forces people to become better at giving directions. My aunt never drove. She could give directions to anywhere within a few blocks of her home, but she was worthless at giving directions past that, even to places she's visited many times. Asking her directions to her doctor's office (far away) in order to drive her there, she had me call her son (who drove her in the past) to get directions. From him: First street 2 miles, turn north on second street. Second street 4 miles, turn south onto the highway. Highway 2 miles to Xxxxx St off-ramp. Doctor's office on the right hand side of Xxxxx street. If my aunt had only said to take the highway to Xxxxx street, that would have been the bomb, but she didn't have that knowledge.
You see a vast difference in cultures in terms of time (spanish time vs gringo time), distance (exact locations for westerners), and directions (right, left, north, south). None of those things are of much importance in poor countries. I double-dated some years back, me and my girl went out for drinks with a buddy and his girl. After a discussion like this with my buddy, he turned to the two silent girls and asked: What do you think of this? Without missing beat my pinay said: "These are a rich man's problems. Not mine".

I think there's a dynamic even bigger than the absence of geography being taught in schools. There's an old guy named James C. Scott who spent much of his life studying "peasant resistance" in Southeast Asia. He talks about how as countries "develop" their rulers try to impose "legibility" on their people. Legibility includes things like standards of measurement (which are needed to carry on markets); planning, labeling, and numbering of road systems; government subdivisions; standards around the processing of foods for market; and even standard languages.
But people don't want to be controlled, they don't want to change their own local practices and terminology, and so they resist. Indigenous groups in the Philippines, for example, Igorots, Bukidnon, Bontoc, Aeta, Badjao, and many others--resist being assimilated in various ways. If they get pressured to conform, they just retreat into the mountains or remote islands. Many Filipinos outside Tagalog-speaking central Luzon resist having to learn the national language, Filipino, which is based primarily on Tagalog. If they can't use Cebuano / Bisaya, for example, they would often rather use English. The rural provincial areas of the Philippines carry on many resistant local practices. That resistance isn't lost when the individual from the provinces moves to Manila in search of fortune. Resisting learning about legible road systems and directions may be a part of this dynamic.
The resistance dynamics are nothing recent. Remember, when the Spanish conquered these 7,100 islands the islands did not have a common name, language, ethnicity, or religion. The Spanish just decided to call the islands a single country, named it after their King, and imposed their own legibility and religion on it. Colonialism does that, and the colonists fight back however they can.
Note there have been comments about a club called Mega but I have no first hand comments about it.
OK, so I've taken a quick peek into this. Had a beer (120 pesos, pretty much inline with old HiSo's 100 pre-pandemic drinks). Far from packed, crowd seemed to consist of younger cuter girl barkadas, not your typical high-mileage jolibellied GROs (although a few "body positive" young pinays were offering a free view of their generous fat deposits moving in all directions when utilizing the dancepods). The club has couple tall topline hired dancers and a B team of shorter, standard issue pinays with limited dancing skills, but at least they had bright LED lights.
Many cliques seemed to know each other from before. Noted one senior likely monger nursing his drink at a well-placed table, with no approaches going on, in fact it seemed like there was an invisible social distancing area around him. When he gave up and left, a four / five girls barkada quickly moved in and snatched up the free table.
Noticed a few more things going on, which shall remain uninterpreted for now. There are probably rewards available when you have unlocked the code. No easy peasy shopping la Insomnia/Marine (Patts, pre-pandemic) going on from what I could see.
Typical EDM dance music, very similar to what HiSo played, but this place shoots for a slightly more socyal crowd if my quick interpretion got it right, and action is much less wild (even if some erotic dancing was performed by drunk girls).

I am getting old, and the bar scene is not my thing any longer and I pretty much quit going to AC about 7 years ago. That being said, I was bored so I took a trip up to check it out and it seems business as usual. Stayed at El Vista Hotel. Very nice I would recommend it. 142 Narciso Street. Yes there are only so many bars open and very little perimeter action, but there is plenty enough to go around. Actually way more than necessary.

I just got back from my trip to Angeles and here are my observations and overall experience for those on the fence whether you should make the journey or not.
In short, if you miss AC don't hesitate to go now.
I would say that about 60% of the bars have reopened. Most bars fell into two types for me. The first type was like Atlantis, with many girls who were out of work the last two years coming back. I saw many familiar faces that have been in the scene for awhile. The second type were bars that had an almost brand new line of of girls. Dragon Bar was one of those and one I frequented many days. Now there are many bars in between with a mix of new girls and veterans returning to work. Overall it was amazing how many new girls just started work. Many of the larger bars I went to, the mamasan would tell me she had over 10+ girls that just started working in the last two weeks. Many of them were 19 or 20, so they came of age during the pandemic. Do not hesitate to go, you will find a girl that fits your preferences, there are plenty of choices and even better, less competition. There were no Japanese mongers, as they can not reenter their country without quarantine. I saw a good amount of Korean mongers. It is a buyers market. I can say that I myself was the first barfine for at least 4 girls.
Now I'the like to give a moment of silence to my favorite bar Ponytails. It may no longer be with us, but from its ashes there has been a great change. Pre Pandemic, If you wanted any daytime action, you either went to Ponytails or perimeter bars. Now there is a shift in business mindset for many bars. They are opening from 10 am to 6 pm for a daytime shift. Then they have an evening shift from 6 pm to 2 am -3 am. Viking, Bacarra, Sensation, Gold Bar and Cosplay all open at 10 am and have great line ups. Now there is a bit of a downside, and it is reasonable. Many girls working during the day shift will only do short time. However the short time price is 2500. Some girls will do long time for 3500. I believe that's fair, it's not reasonable to barfine a girl at 11 am and expect her to stay til the next morning for the same price. So far I've noticed that the really hot girls will only do short time. Exceptions can be made depending on your rapport with the girl. I found a really popular one that only did short time, but after hitting it off with her during the first short time, she agreed to long time the second day. Overall there seems to be an average price of 3500 at most bars. Not that bad for inflation.
A little bit about the COVID situation. Everyone is wearing masks except in walking. SM Mall still requires masks. You will see locals wearing masks around all around town except in walking street. From my experience and what I heard most hotels will expect you to mask up as you enter and go through the lobby. I have not had any pushback for bringing girls in. I'll go into detail about this in a separate post.
Dragon Bar was one of those and one I frequented many days.Yes, Dragon actually has a half-decent line-up, but that can't be said about many bars. Dragon seems well-run and waitresses are helpful. I dated a small Dragon cutie on her day off. During dinner I asked her if she was worried being seen with me in Fields and she assured me that she had no issues at all with that. Which was QED later on as we barhopped across Fields before retreating. So the captain-save-a-ho-from-fines can quit worrying, you're just being fed BS. It's a different AC now.

Imagine your flight departs the US, at 1 pm (Phils time) on Saturday, and arrives at 5 pm (Phils time) on Sunday (28 hours traveling; you have a long layover in HK or such). You can not start the OHP registration until 5 pm Saturday (the OHP website won't allow it). As you will be trying to check in at the US airport around 11 am Saturday (Phils time), the airline won't allow you to board because your OHP registration is not yet complete. You will miss your flight.
Columbia or Thailand might be better bets at this time.

It's amazing to read reports of young 18 to 19-year-old flat stomach stunners in the bars of Angeles, all I can say is they must be visiting a different Angeles city to the one I have lived and worked in over the last couple of decades.
It's also amazing to read how many are gullible enough to believe anything that comes out of the Mama's mouth especially when it comes to fresh girls, mostly when mamas tell me I have fresh girls today I have previously known the girls work in other bars of Angeles for multiple years, yes she might be fresh to that bar but definitely not to Angeles bars.
I also read that 60% of Angeles bars are now open, driving down perimeter most nights to go home after work out of the 100 odd bars on perimeter maybe a handful are open.
As for walking Street I would say it's four or five out of 10 open but some of the biggest and most popular bars of walking Street are still closed.
As far as covid passes to enter girls into one's hotel then it's probably 80% want to see a covid pass and about 20% do not care, best advice is just to ask before booking any hotel as to what the rules and regulations are.
As far as Koreans, yes over the last few weeks more Korean faces can be seen in Angeles bars and as per usual the girls flock to the Koreans first.
As in all Angeles bars there is a severe shortage of girls and even a bigger shortage of younger slim attractive girls, the first thing any bar owner friends say to me is please do you know of any girls that need a job I'm desperate for more girls, just take a look outside of 99% of bars, big signs with girls needed, excellent salaries paid, the bars are indeed having great problems recruiting girls.
As far as can one have a great time in Angeles city then that depends directly on how fussy a punter is regarding girls, the lower the expectations the greater chance of a better time.

It makes no sense that they would change it to 24 hours before arrival, rather than departure. If it's true that the website won't allow for you to enter the information until 24 hours before arrival, then this seems like a mistake. I'm in LA so it technically wouldn't be an issue for me. I will say that if you show up to the airport with all your paperwork in order completed 24 hours in advance before departure, you wouldn't be turned away. I was in line with hundreds of people with disorganized / lacking paperwork, and the Philippine Airlines crew worked with everyone. A lady in front of me heard someone checking in and asked me if she needed proof of health insurance. I explained what she needed and how I got it (which wasn't a super quick process with my insurance provider). She started panicking and typing around in her phone. I watched to see if she was turned away. She was not, nor was even one person in that line that I waited in for well over an hour. Just my experience.

It makes no sense that they would change it to 24 hours before arrival, rather than departure. Its entirely possible that a simple language mistake was made by the BOQ in the statement about departure and arrival. It also doesn't make any sense that they would change the registration period from 72 hours to 24 hours.
I'm in LA so it technically wouldn't be an issue for me. That's more than 24 hours. It could be an issue for anyone. Even if your flight time was less than 24 hours, you must still complete the OHP process before checking in. I don't see any advantage to anyone in changing this from 72 to 24 hours.
I would guess that FG is right and the airlines are working with everyone to see that they get onboard. I might also posit that the BOQ is doing all of this to make it easier on themselves: If the OHP is completed, they need fewer personnel at NAIA going thru everyone's paperwork. On the BOQ website it says that they are not accepting walk-ins at the offices, and if you need to go there you must make an appointment at least one day in advance. Probably understaffed and still operating under covid restrictions like other government agencies.

If I try to rebook my flights for the next few weeks, even from AU I can find $2 K fligths. But if I widen my search and add flexibility of travel days it's back down to around A $1,200 (pre-covid I was paying $800-900). For flights three months in advance I can get pre-covid prices.

Crazy last few days in AC and I'm worn out with the Philippines.

One thing is clear I need to be a little more. Systematic and plan further ahead when it comes to future mongering trips.

You will need a supervised RAT which you could get from a pharmacy in Perth but your flight times might cause you some grief. In any case have all your paperwork in order when you approach the PR counter in Melbourne.

It was convenient to adjust my dates. I'm flying to Melbourne the afternoon before departure and will get the test at the airport then leave early the next morning.

Finally back in AC after a 3 year hiatus. Took the direct flight on Scoot from SIN to CRK (about 380 USD). Its a convenient flight but this one was delayed by 2. 5 hours. Got in around 7. 45 PM. Airport process was quick and efficient and Central Park had sent the car to pick me up. CP is a nice hotel, room is large and clean. 4700 PHP / night but 20% discount on checkout if paying cash. General observation is that there are quite a few people on the street and bars are full of girls. Masks are nowhere to be seen in the bars. Day one hit 3 bars. Shooters was the first. Was flirting with a waitress and may have barfined her but here come the menses. I think it was real as she had my hand on her panties to show the pad. SHoters regular dancers were not appealing but they do have spotlight dancers wearing thongs and pasties so that was fun. Barfine 3500 for regular and 4000 for spotlight. Moved from the here to Body Shop. A few cuties there. Bought drinks and barfined a 19 year old tiny spinner. The interesting thing was she was deaf / dumb so no real talking. I liked her body though. BF 2900 and she said LT so took her for a spin. Sex was okay, she was not too experienced but dumping a load in small tight 19 yo is never too bad. As for attitude, just find one that is more to your liking. Although the AC and Subic Bay of yesteryear is long gone I maintain good times can be had.
