Whether a member of these boards has lived in the area, or only visited a few times, I think any helpful advice is better than none. One person's perception of things may not be the same as another's. But it is good that people are trying to help their fellow mongers, rather than belittle them.

I've been to the Philippines about 10 times. AC only twice although I plan another trip this June. I am also 64 years old. I never experienced a problems with ladies in AC but did observe that every time the Koreans walked in, the ladies would react by screaming and calling them over. Whatever! I don't worry much about my age or competition from Koreans. One thing I do have going for me is the fact that I stay in great shape. I work out every day (weights, etc). I do not smoke and I do not drink. I have had very positive responses when asked my age. I have had several ladies call other girls over to try and guess my age. I always get 48-50. I had one lady tell me that she like the fact that I did not drink or smoke because I did not smell. I try and treat them like ladies and when I do barfine, I always offer to take them out for dinner, etc. Although I want the sex, I like to make the lady and myself as comfortable as possible with each other. I always travel alone. I do what I want when I want while I am there. Unless the lady is exceptional, I rarely barfine with a lady more that once. Hope I did not go off topic. I just wanted to convey some of my thoughts.
Well, in AC there is a clear example of koreans preferred at Agasya. I knew the mamasan / manager there and she would tell me almost all the girls prefer Koreans. She also said not all koreans are generous with regard to money. She said the koreans are not much interested in screwing the girl many times. They just want to drink and have a good time and also like eye candy on their arm.
It is a well known thing in AC that Koreans tip better than other expats there. Maybe 3-3-3 has some truth to it. In talking with few other girls in other bars many did not like to go with koreans. The main reason they said is because of the language problem and these girls get bored while the koreans drink and conversate with their friends.
This is a mongering business for everybody. All over the world working girls prefer to make more money with least amount of inconvenience and damage to their body. Being horny is not in their repertoire. If they want sex they need go too far.

IMO when the Koreans walk into a bar and the bar screams for them its the Koreans that have been working for all the corporations located out by friendship gate and Korea town. They most likely have there favorite bars and since they live and work there full time they are regular customers to the bar. Koreans have a gift of working hard for long periods of time saving up a bunch of money and then spending that money like there no tomorrow. Its any wonder the Bars like them Money talk you know. I 100% guarantee if you go to a bar and spend a ton of money on a regular basis Every time you walk into that bar they will cheer you.

When we had big japanese customers coming over to China my co worker from japan took care of them and he could spent for them a certain percentage for their turnover with us. So he didn't so much worry about prices. So even when we went to those places privatly we / he was welcomed like a popstar because they knew next time he would come back with customers and spent a lot of money again.
I cebu I talked to a girl and she told me that in places that cater to japanese a barfine of 8000. 10000 is not uncommon.
In China my japanese coworker went out with a KTV girl. On day one she asked if they could go shopping for a new designer handbag for her. After he declined, she told him that he would be so un japanese.
Well, he eventually threw her out of the taxi.
Anyway, you see what girls are expecting when they see japanese. Can't blame them, they are in it for the money.
On top of that seems like they also are easier to handle compared to US / Europeans. No GFE, multiple pops stuff.
They have a itching, the girls do the scratching. Finish.

I plan to be in Angeles for a few days. I would like to hop up and visit a friend about an hour+ north in Dagupan. Can I rent a real motorcycle in Angeles and make a day trip there? I ride a Kawasaki 750 here at home. Nothing under like 500cc makes sense for me for an hour drive. If yes, what are the rental prices?

Tip large, tip freely and with a smile at all the places you frequently visit and the 'little people' will bend over backwards for you. Americans, Euros, Indians, Chinese, even Japanese. It doesn't matter. Money talks. You don't want to wait in line at a restaurant, you want that new BMW without waiting in queue for it, you want the girls to drop everything when you walk into a bar; tip big! No reason to get upset about it. It's human nature. What's the alternative, communism? Well in communism, you don't need money as much as political connections. It's the same thing basically. I hear Kim Jong-Il's son (not the one slated to take over the country, but the eldest son) likes to party big time in Macau. He's a big fat pig, but I bet he has amazing women doing whatever he wants them to do. Now how does he do it?

I have seen the same in cebu, China, Macau etc. With mostly japanese not so much korean.A lot of the koreans in Cebu skew younger and are not businessmen on holiday but english students surviving on stipends from mommy and daddy. You will see them in the clubs but they don't spend like in Luzon.
After you see the roads I think nothing OVER 500cc would make sense! (I ride a ZX7 myself.)Note though that you are not allowed to ride on the freeways on a bike under 400cc
Without ever having been to AC I assumed that Fields between Santos and Constantine was the place to be but now that I have been reading some of the posts going back 20 pages or so I see that many of the regulars prefer Perimeter, especially for expats.
What do you people in the know recommend for a newbie in town for a short trip? Is fields nothing but an over-priced rip-off area or is Perimeter a sparse area with nothing but low-end skags? Of course I jest with the extreme classifications and am starting to think that it may be easier to find quality companionship and an in-bar good time in Perimeter but it will require a little bit more travel and leg-work. I suppose I can go to Fields once or twice to see some fancy shows but then ignore the over-priced action there and get myself some nice bargain action back in Perimeter.
Note that I already have a deposit in a Fields hotel but even if I eat my deposit the Perimeter hotel rates will still be cheaper. I just would feel like a ******* if I lost this deposit and then ended up spending most of my time in Fields and had to spend extra on transport to get there.

I had fun at Jolly Frog perimeter bar when I was there.

I still remember how overwhelmed I was the 1st time I visited Angeles. On the last trip there in March 2008 I had a car and met up with an experienced ISG'er and we went to the Perimeter bars. The car added a bit of easy mobility.
First, it depends how long you will be there. If just a couple of days, I would suggest Fields because all the action is easily accessible and within walking distance. Prices are still very fair. I enjoyed the afternoon sojourn to the Perimeter bars. I think we hit about a dozen. It was in the afternoon and we were just looking, so it was more for entertainment.
Later that evening, I did go back to Perimeter solo and all the lookers I had my eye on earlier were gone. I didn't find anything to my liking at about 3 or 4 bars so I went back to Fields for the rest of the evening. Took a waitress out of Atlantis. Had fun. Returned her. Then took a spotlight dancer from Atlantis. Had even more fun.
Whatever you do. Fun is almost a guarantee.

The reason for my question was a forum member that I have never met but whose opinion I respect has advised me I would be better served on Perimeter. I think he may be right although I also think that he may be more right for someone staying longer term as I will only be in town for a week. This will be a research trip hopefully followed by a longer one in a few months so I mean to hit Perimeter and Fields. As a newbie I do not mind spending a little more on the short trip and figure by the second trip I will be able to optomize my budget better.
Normally I would just say stick with my hotel and while I am there find the better place for the second trip. In fact I did a lot of travel before I even knew about ISG and I did fine. It is just this forum member was pretty convincing in his arguments. Of course tastes vary and I wanted to poll this group here to get some varying opinions. DS, thank you very much for your feedback. I will be there on the week before Easter and should be out of The Philippines by 18 April 2011. I do not plan to be around during the Easter celebration as I was told it can be quite chaotic.
Given your information, I think I will go to AC as planned. As for hotel, I will read the forum for any recommendation or use back the last hotel I was in. Lets see what sort of "treasure of information" the forum holds.
BTW Forum Members if there are any good hotels / pubs to be recommended along Perimeter Road, please do so and I will be most grateful....

The number of girls during Easter is basically the same. The girls will probably just light a candle somewhere to pay their respects. Major businesses (like SM) will close for a few days so do your shopping beforehand but it's business as usual along Fields. My only advice is to stay away from the spectacle of the crucifixion reenactment. There was a incident a few years ago where a foreigner joined the ritual only to make fun of it. Pampanga province have banned foreigners from participating last year so stay away.

You can travel the entire length of Fields Ave and Perimeter Road by trike in under 5 minutes for P70-100 dependant on you negotiation skills. If you pay more than that you are over paying. I usually drop 100 because it is easier for me to do so rather than carrying around smaller bills but everytime I am with a girl and I do so they give me a hard time for paying more than the P70 standard rate.
Perimeter is better to visit during the day as the lookers will be gone early and many bars close between 10PM and midnight. I highly recommend Lost in Asia (LIA) as a starting point and working your way back towards Fields as the day goes on. LIA has many good looking girls in the 7-9 scale range but by 4PM most of them are barfined already.
As for qaulity. Both areas have stunners, spinners, average looking girls, and butt arse ugly ones. You will just find it easier to find what you are after a bit quicker in Fields as there are more bars in closer proximity to each other.
I usually rotate where I stay each trip between the Wild Orchid down in the Fields area on A. Santos and the Clarkton at the far end of Perimeter. Both are pretty good places to stay and have a great selection of girls nearby and in 17. 5 years of traveling there I can honestly say that there are no draw backs to staying on either end of the strip. I have also stayed at many of the hotels in between. I wouldn't worry about changing hotels. Stick with what you have planned and see how it goes this time around.
If all you had was 1 night I would recommend sticking to the Fields area but if you have more time than that you would be making a mistake not checking out both areas. I used to perfer the Fields area back in my younger days before it became so commercialized with all of the bigger bars but now prefer the Perimeter bars myself and not just because I am part owner of a bar there.

OK trikes are a rip off and if your over 5 ft tall and 110 lbs then you can; t get your fat ass in one very easy. I am not big 5-7 and 220 but I don't ride in no trike Plus 70 pesos for a 4 min ride is way to much. There is a jeepney route and its 7 pesos to ride one from checkpoint all the way up perimeter and passes every bar along the way. Always carry some chump change for this occasion and you save tons of money. Also if you stay in a hotel up the perimeter most will have free transport to fields and some are right by the bars too. The locals like the bars on perimeter cause the beers cheaper and the bars are more like the old days of AC small dinky joints. Fields bars are huge
Of course there are plenty of ladyboys (bakla) but they're usually easy to spot. Need I say more? They're easy to spot because they're butt ugly! If you're into ladyboys, go to Thailand. IMO, it's because the Thais have more of a femine face, plus they probably have more money for plastic surgery.
From my perspective, the ladyboys are "better" in Angeles because they just say "Hello," and leave you alone. In Thailand, they are very aggressive. They will walk in front of you, grab your hand, and even sometimes they will grab your ass. This has happened to me couple of times in Thailand; it made my blood boil. I wanted to smack "it", but I thought better of it. It seems the Thais are like gangbangers; if you hit one of them, then all their friends will gang up on you. It seems they have no "honor" of the one on one fight.
The age check is not always foolproof. I know one gal who used her older sister's identification to work. Remember, once you're arrested, her real age is the only thing that matters. If she looks borderline, it's not worth the risk.Definitely correct.
Couple of years ago, I barfined 3 girls from one of the bars on Fields. The staff at Royal Amsterdam wouldn't let in 2 of the girls. She said "it's for your protection". I asked them about their IDs. They admitted that they were 17, and they used their friend's ID. They recommended going to the Bangkok Hotel. I passed; not worth the risk.
I didn't complain to the bar; I sent them back. I told them they owe me a free BJ after they turn legal when I come back. I went back, but they weren't working there anymore. I'm still looking for my free BJ!

I broke my AC not too long ago myself, and let me tell you: for your first trip or 2 you definitely want to stay in a hotel in the Fields area. Yes, Fields hotels cost more compared to Perimeter hotels, about 50% more for a comparable room, but consider:
- you plan to barhop A LOT (as did I) , which means you invariably end up in the Fields area night since the Perimeter bars are more daytime bars. Most Perimeter bars are not very interesting by 7-8 PM since all the nice girls will have been barfined by then. So at night you will be in barhopping in the Fields area, and likely to be buzzed from a dozen or so beers, you don't want to be walking around Perimeter in that state.
- if you are going to pay for the rip-off trikes all the time, at 50-100 p per ride, the money you save on your hotel room will quickly disappear. Different if you take the Jeepneys of course.
- In the morning / afternoon you have a wide variety of places for breakfast / lunch within easy walking distance at Fields. In Perimeter, you are likely to be confined to a few places, unless you like long walks. SM Clark mall is about a 15 minute walk from Fields. And trust me, you will go to the mall, since there is fuck all else to do AC besides the bars and bargirls.
- late at night, you can always just hang around in the Fields area, it's safe (as long as you stick to the main streets, don't go into deserted sidestreets). Not so much in Perimeter. In Fields, with easy walking distance, my places to go for food are: Kokomoz, Paradise beer garden, Tequila Reef, Margarita Station, that cheap shawarma place, Pacific Breeze hotel restaurant, Strawberry Hill bar/resto.
I will only be in town for a week so I will basically be in constant party mode and I am sure I will hit both places but my question is to where I will base myself out of. here are my observations of the fl scene in fields ave. some may disagree with my observations but i've lived here a long time.
there a small group (5 or 6 girls) of young ones hanging out across the street of the former sub-delicious (currently phillies sports bar). they do walk around trolling but they all seem to sit and rest at the corner where most park their scooters at night. two are definitely **** and all are in need of a bath. i've sat down outside sub-delicious for the last 3 years just observing the situation and even talked to them from time to time. sadly, one just recently gave birth and is back for the same routine. they seem to have regular customers of mostly order dudes. although the barangay police are about thirty feet away, the police are not discouraging them. there's a pinoy dude on scooter who sometimes shuttle them to potential clients. i'm guessing he's a wannabe pimp drumming up business.
there's another group of older, fugly girls who usually work alone trolling. a few of them are notorious pickpockets and their main targets are older guys (with bad vision) who already had too much to drink. i've actually saw a doorman arresting one using an arm lock while escorting her to the police station after a customer lost his wallet. my advice is to keep your wallet in your front pocket and stay away. btw, some gals will resort to fl when they can no longer pass the health check!
every now and then, an older hag walking with a pretty young prospect will approach you. i've always had a bad vibe when approached this way so i've always declined.
there are also a few part-timers of middle-aged moms looking to supplement their purse to make ends meet. they all seem to quote me php5000 at first. when i tell them that i can barfine an 18 year old teenager for php1500, they quickly come to their senses or balk hoping to find a dumb mark. interestingly, koreans are their favorite clients. these gals you might see every couple of months.
there is a very small group of very pretty college girls who usually work in pairs or more. most will exclusively troll for koreans or japanese and they want big bucks for their time and they will only go with you as a group. these gals will usually ignore many westerners especially if you're just wearing shorts and sandals. i think you have to look like you have a big wallet and a small schlong to hook these gals. usually spotted during weekends, these girls are hot but hard to land.
of course there are plenty of ladyboys (bakla) but they're usually easy to spot. need i say more?
skytraks have fls of mixed persuasions including bar girls but, alas, i have not parlayed in this arena.
the last groups of fls mostly hang out after the last bar on a. santos street or in front of that seedy motel around the corner. most of their clients are local and they are mixed in with drug dealers. just stay away if you don't want trouble. a few hotels have posted bulletins warning customers to stay away. a lot of robberies and stabbings have occurred in this area. this seedy motel is also a favorite of **** stings so beware.great advice and with the right cautions thrown in.
on my last visit to ac, i have observed some of the above.
i did venture in skytrax on my last night there and it was about 1/2 full at about 12am. mostly locals with their chicks on a night out and also the left over bargirls from perimeter that were not bf. not many stunners as most were avg. lookers. not much to look at, place 1/2 full. music on the loud side so i left and wander around field bars instead.

As you have not been here yet, don't make the mistake that jeepneys run all along Perimeter and Fields, they DO NOT. Jeeps only travel the length of Perimeter until Checkpoint (Fields begins about 100m further down). The jeepneys are forbidden and do not travel on Fields at all, but the walk along entire Fields itself is not that long so no real need for jeepney to travel here anyway.
Perimeter bars closes about 12am or so and the jeepneys do not run very often at late night as not many customers at that time. I remember leaving one bar as it closed (about 12:30) and waited outside nearly 15min before a jeepney passed by-during the day, it's more like a passing jeep every 15 seconds. Didn't even see a trike out there at that time of night.

I broke my AC not too long ago myself, and let me tell you: for your first trip or 2 you definitely want to stay in a hotel in the Fields area. Yes, Fields hotels cost more compared to Perimeter hotels, about 50% more for a comparable room, but consider:
- you plan to barhop A LOT (as did I) , which means you invariably end up in the Fields area night since the Perimeter bars are more daytime bars. Most Perimeter bars are not very interesting by 7-8 PM since all the nice girls will have been barfined by then. So at night you will be in barhopping in the Fields area, and likely to be buzzed from a dozen or so beers, you don't want to be walking around Perimeter in that state.
- if you are going to pay for the rip-off trikes all the time, at 50-100 p per ride, the money you save on your hotel room will quickly disappear. Different if you take the Jeepneys of course.
- In the morning / afternoon you have a wide variety of places for breakfast / lunch within easy walking distance at Fields. In Perimeter, you are likely to be confined to a few places, unless you like long walks. SM Clark mall is about a 15 minute walk from Fields. And trust me, you will go to the mall, since there is fuck all else to do AC besides the bars and bargirls.
- late at night, you can always just hang around in the Fields area, it's safe (as long as you stick to the main streets, don't go into deserted sidestreets). Not so much in Perimeter. In Fields, with easy walking distance, my places to go for food are: Kokomoz, Paradise beer garden, Tequila Reef, Margarita Station, that cheap shawarma place, Pacific Breeze hotel restaurant, Strawberry Hill bar / resto. Thanks for the feedback. You have some good points about the advantages of Fields. I am not too much worried about spending a bit more for the hotel. For a week it will cost me less than $100. I will be barhopping and am not afraid to walk out of a place so until I get my sea legs more options will be better. I WILL get off of Fields to try the scenes but since I will be on vacation and a short one at that I will want to be in a social area. From your description I would rather be in Fields than Perimeter at 3AM and I can take Perimeter girls back to my hotel for a cheap ride.

I will only be in town for a week so I will basically be in constant party mode and I am sure I will hit both places but my question is to where I will base myself out of. It SEEMS that Fields is the center of the action and Perimeter is more spread out. The Fields hotels are a little bit more expensive and that is no big deal but I do not want to pay more for something worse and that goes for girls, hotel, and food.

My advice regarding "stay in the Fields area" was strictly regarding hotels, as per your original question.
Perimeter bars are smaller and spaced much further apart, but prices are cheaper out there. And more importantly, Perimeter girls have better attitudes. Although, in the looks-wise Perimeter girls are not as good as Fields girls (to my eyes anyway). But I do encourage you to visit the Perimeter bars.

Once in AC, I found myself overwhelmed by the activity, lights and sheer madness of the area. No thought was given to perimeter because quite frankly I knew nothing about it. My second trip I did additional research and learned some things about perimeter. I decided to split my time between the two areas. First I stayed at the Pacific Breeze. Great hotel and location. I decided to try and take in some of the shows in order to get a comfort level. For this I decided to start at the Dollhouse. As expected, it had great show. I love to walk so I decided to walk to Margarita Station to get a bite to eat. I then walked to perimeter. The bars on perimeter are more spread out than fields and the mongers tend to be more within my age group. You really have to be patient and look hard but there are beauties to be found on perimeter. In the evening, I decided to go to Ponytails and found that I really liked this place. It is closer to fields than some of the other perimeter bars. Ponytails is where I found a 27 why / o who not only was very good looking, but had a great pair of boobs and nice solid body. Took her to the Pacific Breeze and had a great time. Great attitude and did not have a problem with my taking shower with her. I am very accustomed to the lady taking a shower and coming out with the towel thing. Not with this lady. A few days later I decided to move over to the Sunset Garden Hotel. This hotel is somewhat between Fields and Perimeter. I found the rooms to be comfortable and clean but obviously not the caliber of Pacific Breeze. The hotel was clean with a nice pool and I found the food better than at the Pacific Breeze. I could easily walk to Margarita Station, and from there I could move on to Fields. I am a walker so I had no problem walking from the Sunset Garden to Fields. I don't recommend this for everyone. Obviously if you look local, they may think you may be a precursor to a raid, so you may have to expect some worry over your presence in a club. Over time they'll probably just take you that you're not but who knows. It won't be every club if any at all. I will tell you this, for whatever reason sometimes the women working in bars like this may not want to be with a Filipino. They'll flat out reject you for no other reason. Don't stress it and move on to either another woman or another bar. It happens, I know. I'm not Filipino, but for whatever reason I get a lot of questions whether I am at times. But I will say this, if you are decent looking and have some charm, you can probably have a great time with a lot of regular women in non P4P scenes instead.
I visited PT around Christmas and didn't like the attitude. If I'm just enjoying a beer and admiring the show, I don't appreciate gals making funny faces and then engagin in Tagalog discussion about the guy looking at them. First stay at Hana hotel and Clarkton. Both good places. America Hotel. Too many cockroaches. Pacific Breeze, luckily got a good room on short notice during the holiday, but they booted me out the next day. I like the rooms in the main building, but not the annex. I'll try to write more about hotels in the AC hotel thread. X.

I haven't experienced bars not letting me in, but I have had one mama-san not allow me to barfine a girl. I asked the girl how much the barfine was and if she wanted to come with me. I got the price and she was good to go but mama-san said no. I later asked a different bargirl about it and she said that they thought I was working with law enforcement or something. I just went to a different bar and picked up a different girl.

I stayed at the Pacific Breeze and will do so again, as the staff couldn't have been nicer and truth be told the hotel staff gals were some of the hottest I saw. I would have.

I almost started with an afternoon massage, but decided that I would save the "edge" for later. I did start the "tour" about 4:30 on Fields Ave. I had intended to try the Perimeter area in the afternoon, but.
Wasn't sure exactly where it was located and by then it didn't really matter. Met a couple of English retired guys that live in AC and they took me along for a while. It seems that one their Fil's GF or wife was pissed off at him about something, so they decided it was a good idea to give her time to cool off and find some other entertainment!
We went to Geckos and had a good time, then I went to Baby Dolls, before rejoining them at Champagne. I really liked this place, not only because of the dancers, but most of the "hostesses" where hot! I would have BF'ed one quickly if it wasn't my first time. Left and went to a couple of other places on Fields and what struck me was the sheer numbers of girls, not many real stunners but just a lot to choose from. Found my way to Tropix, which is one block off of Fields and it was here that I struck gold! I was really interested in one of the hostesses, (notice a pattern here) , but she told me she was "cherry". I told here I didn't believe she was a virgin, which I was correct, but she had never left the bar with a customer and was not interested in doing so, since she wanted to find true love before giving herself up "again".
I didn't push it, but instead ask her to give me advice about the "fun girls" of the ones I was interested in talking too. She did and I called one off stage, a slender, lithe young thing that was a little taller than the rest and had a beautiful face. We talked for a while and I thought it was heading somewhere when she asked if she could go back on stage. I was surprised and said,"yes of course if that is what you want to do". She left, and I was perplexed. What I later found out was that her drink was finished and she either had to get another drink, get BF'ed, or go dance. As it turns out she was too shy to ask for another drink and I didn't know I was supposed to offer. Duh.
I talked to another girl over a drink and she was cute, but nothing clicked, so I left.
Went back to Champagne and chatted up the cute hostess and asked her if I could bar fine her, she said of course she would love to go with me. Then she kind of sheepishly said," I need to tell you something before we leave." I'm not sure what to expect, but she said that she had just started her period that afternoon at work, and while it wasn't bad, she didn't want me to be surprised. I politely told her that as much as I wanted to spend some time with her, I wasn't really in the mood to deal with that issue on this night. She understood and said she would make it up to me if I would see her again at another time.
Checked a couple of the big name bars, and got one "first night at the bar gal" who was really cute, but when I started making sure that she was "into the program" found out that she had a lot of restrictions which I wasn't going to deal with in a P4P situation. I suspect that will change with her quickly but I wasn't going to be in charge of training on this night.
Went back to Tropix and was surprised that the girl was still in the line up, I thought she was one of the best looking ones there. The hostess asked me what happened earlier and I told her, she started laughing and told me that if I wanted her to stay I had to buy another drink. I felt like an idiot! I got her off the stage and made sure that she was okay with my "rules" and off we went for the 1500 BF.
She was really hot in jeans and shirt and we grabbed a bite to eat then off to the room. She started a little slow, but responded well to my attentions and was soon "fully engaged" in the program.
As it turns out she was a real treat, and after the second time, I was spent. I really didn't care whether she stayed or left since I had get up early to get a bus to Manila, so gave her the option to stay or go. She chose to leave after a shower and I got a big hug and smile at the exit.
I am looking forward to my next visit and will try the perimeter bars early in the afternoon, and suspect that a LT BF will be a good thing. I also won' t wait so late to choose if I see something I like because it might not be available later.

Hi, I'm a newbie planning to make a trip out to Angeles City, but my biggest concern was that I heard that it could be higher crime and even a little dangerous if you're not careful. I've been to Pattaya several times and never once felt threatened. I was wondering if it is safe at all to bring your laptop or whether this is not a good idea due to theft? I plan on working during the day and having fun at night.
I've also heard of taxi drivers from the airport taking you on a detour on the way to Angeles? Also people being setup by the cops? Are these things true? It's kind of a scary thought for me. I was planning on going alone, but would it be smarter to either go with someone who has been there before or meet up with people there to show me the ropes? Would people generally be willing to help out a fellow monger or do they mainly keep to themselves? Part of my problem is that I'm a bit of a young guy in my late 20s but I look even younger than my age. Maybe fresh out of college. And perhaps a little innocent. I'm Asian and I'm not really a big guy or anything (I'm 5'6 or so). I am hoping that I won't be getting into trouble because of that. That is people being much more encouraged to take advantage of me or even get aggressive with me. I am not stupid or anything so I can spot scams / trouble, but I am also generally non-confrontational. Again, I never had problems in Thailand, but I imagine that the PI is a different beast.

However, I think I can safely say that the danger is no greater there than anywhere else we mongers might travel. Just be smart about what you do while you are there. First off, read as much of the posts on this forum as you can, to get a better idea of what you are getting into. Perhaps one of the AC regulars would be willing to take you under his wing and show you around a bit. As for the laptop, try to find a hotel that has in room safes. But be aware, some of these are not big enough to fit a full size laptop inside of. If that is the case, bring along a cable lock for the laptop, or a locking suit case to put it in when you need to leave the room. Nothing is absolutely secure. If a thief wants to break into your room and steal your things badly enough, they will find a way to do so, no matter what precautions you take. This applies to anyplace you might travel to. AC does not have a corner on the theft business. I lock up everything of value wherever I travel.

Yes Angeles can be more dangerous than Pattaya. But it can be completely safe if you stay smart. Just stay on the main roads (Fields and Perimeter) with people around. Don't go exploring or take short cuts. Also, politely ignore all offers from Filipinos, even when they say "Boss, I work for security at your hotel".
Never read about laptops being stolen from the major hotels in the area. They have armed security and cameras. Well, even the 7-11s have armed security.
Taxis will be a set price from the airport, hence there won't be any detour. I would recommend getting the hotel to arrange a taxi to pick you up. It will be approx 2500 pesos from Manila airport.
I would recommend the Royal Amsterdam for the hotel stay and airport pick-up. If you have trouble sleeping with noise, ask for a room that does not face the noisy back.
It seems (my guess) that the set-ups are not that prevalent. Previously there were several cases. But in most of those set-ups, the guys were GUILTY! Just don't be stupid and pick-up young freelancers or let your girlfriend's young cousin use the shower; that is don't have a naked 16 year old girl in the shower.
I like Angeles for a change of scenery; plus cheaper prices if you want to pick up 3 at one time; LOL! You can do both Pattaya and Angeles. If you buy early, Cebu Pacific has decent prices from BKK to Clark (Angeles airport). Clark will only be 300 pesos for the taxi pick-up.
I had been in the Phils 9 times before making my cherry trip to AC and also went there with a certain degree of apprehensiveness last month but curiosity got the best of me. From my hotel in Manila I took a taxi over to the Swagman Hotel, paid my 600 php for the bus and took a very comfy 2 hour ride to AC and Pacific Breeze Hotel which I had booked a day or two in advance. AC was nothing like I had envisioned, particularly from my experiences in Manila, which makes AC look like a safety zone.
Pacific Breeze had an in room safe large enough for my laptop but I left it out most of the time that I was gone. The hotel was a 3 minute walk from Fields and compared to some of the walks that I've taken in Manila, it was a walk in the park. Price was about $50. 00 a night. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I found the general area to be considerably safer than nearly all places I have been to in metro Manila. If somebody, approaches you on the street, male or femele, don't speak with them and keep walking. Never, ever, ever take a girl off the street as that's a perfect opportunity for any number of set ups. Stay on the moderate side of drunkenness and keep a low profile. I have a beer in one place and a bottled water in the next place. That has been my general rule across the globe.
There are alot of guys on this board with tons of experience in AC, many who live there. I'm just giving my impressions of my cherry trip there. Looks like I'm going to have a good week next week at work. If so, I'm booking a trip for next month and will spend a few days in AC again.

HWI have lived in ac for about three years. It is relatively safe. Just as safe as any city and you do have to pay attention as anywhere.
I have had some people try to take money from me but usually its a Filipino guy trying to be friendly and I stop and talk instead of ignoring and then I realize before too late that its a con. Of course I took my changes because sometimes I am in the mood to talk to anyone even with the danger.
Mostly I vary my routine also and walk fast and just don't let anyone touch me or get behind me. Etc. Just like anywhere.
I do hear from friends and other sources that Pattaya can be just as dangerous.
One night two years ago I was very sleepy and on the my lap top in the restaurant of the orchid inn.
I go to my room and go to sleep.
I wake up and do not see my computer. I have no memory of what I did with it. I look everywhere.
As I approach the front desk to ask if they have seen my computer. The clerk calls me by name and says she has my computer.
The janitor found it and left it at the front desk for me. I did not remember at all where I had left it.
Of course I gave the guy a tip and I hope he was still happy that he was an honest man.

When I first read and heard about angeles. I thought it would be the worse place in the country.
Three years later and I am still living there. Only two weeks now in hawaii.
Of course I go other places but angeles is as safe and. As dangerous as anywhere.
Theft is normal and you got to take precautions as anywhere.

From what I understand and was told by another monger living there (while sitting with him at the Bunny burger joint having dinner) , The real "Fields " actually starts where the the police put up the barrier where cars and motor vehicles are forbidden= thus becoming a walking road only. But most oldtimers say that Fields starts about 50-100meters or so east of the jeepney station at checkpoint.
But regardless, as soon as you pass the 1st megabar, you are on "Fields".
FZYou are probably more accurate in geography, but many talk about Fields and Perimeter in comparison to pricing. In that regard, Fields begins around Insominia / dclub and runs all the way down to MacArthur Highway. In that section regular price local drinks will be 95 peso, BF's will be 1, 500 p and up, import drinks will also be more expensive. Going the other direction, Pony Tails is considered the start of Perimeter Road (although Pony Tails is a little higher in price than most Perimeter Bars) and Perimeter runs all the way up to Friendship. Pricing varies, but regular price local drinks average between 50 p to 65 p, BF between 1, 200 to 1, 400p and imported drinks are approx. 10p cheaper than Fields (on common imported drinks). As with Ponytails, there are exception bars offerring lower prices on Fields, and Perimeter bars offerring higher prices, such as Mirrors and some of the Korean bars. In between Insominia and Pony Tails, who cares, there are no bars to speak of.
First of all, thank you to all fellow mongers for giving so much information. It makes it so much easier for us to enjoy. I'm Filipino american and I don't speak or understand tagalog. I am planning a couple of days in AC but several of my friends told me that certain clubs won't let you in. Is that true? If so, which one so I can avoid and spend my money elsewhere. Any feedback is much appreciated.Won't sugar coat it for you. You will have to work on getting the same level of comfort other ethnic groups get. Without knowing you, the fact you have an American accent, won't mean much. Girls and staff will be reluctant to let you play or BF. You just are not going to be able to walk into any bar, like other people, and not have all eyes and suspicion on you. Its not discrimination, its daily rumours of police set ups and potential raids. There is one going around now involving the MBI. Now, once a particular bar and staff know you, you will get the same attention and welcome. Very few bars can deny a Filipino entrance, but they can make your stay uncomfortable and unproductive. Got to also remember foreigners have been involved in the police raids, being American in itself will not give comfort. On the other hand, you can get into many Filipino bars that most other foreigners can't, some of them are better than the Fields / Perimeter bars (they take more clothes off, the girls are "young").
Just to summorize for you. Get the hotel to send a taxi for you. They will give you direction as to where to meet them at the airport.
Safety is not a factor as long as you don't do anything stupid. Anything off the street is a no no. Including girls, or otherwise. If they are on the street stay away. Of course buying a flower for your lady that night would be alright. You will be able to tell if it is safe. Don't talk to the locals unless very necessary. Your hotel should be able to help you with any questions. I have found it quite safe there.
Check if hotel has a safe in room. Ask them before you book. Ask is it will hold a computer. They will know. I suspect they all have a safe that fits them. My buddies have had computers and no problem at all.
I have been in Pattaya also and although different the end result is the same. You get some pussy. No nasty Pattaya shows to be seen in Angles. They do speak english and that means closer GFE usually.

! Since I've been to both Pattaya and AC, I'll give my opinion on this (Note: this is just MY personal belief and not to contradict any expat living in either places).
In general, Pattaya will be consider the safer of the 2 places. This is based on my own experiences of just wandering off anywhere at night. I've never had any problems in Pattaya no matter where I was walking (or riding) in the dark. However, the same can't be said about AC. There are many small streets and alleys I will not walk into and also told by locals not to.
Aside from getting the usual con games and pickpockets, the odds of getting mugged is also greater in AC than in Pattaya, but it is still relative as I believe the odds are also greater for being mugged in some parts of Detroit, or Newark NJ than in AC.
If you bring your laptop and it don't fit into your room safe (as mine didn't). Simply check it at the front desk for them to look after it when you are out. If they did a good job (like mine did) , I gave them a little tip upon final day departure from the hotel.

Ha, ha, the guy I described certainly seemed ready to. I just chuckled and walked out. The Bunny Burger seemed very popular. I never did get a seat in that place.The place is popular with expats and mongers. Also the place is rather small so best to go during the off hours like when I visit to ensure a seat and faster service (meaning not having to wait too long for them to cook your order). If there are 6-8 orders before you (and that includes the line for takeout) it could take a while before they cook your meal.

also, please do not use zithromax unless you are positive you have the drips as any overuse by you will lead to bacterial immunity and when you do need it for real, will find that the drug will no longer work. i know this for a fact as some people will always take the drug after a monger vacation before returning home just in case they were infected, sort of like a "just in case scenario". then the real fun starts when the drug no longer works as you will need to check into a clinic and get shots for the cure--- happen to a few guys i've known in the past.

Hello, fellow Mongers. I've been reading this forum for a while now and feel like I know some of you fairly well. *
I'm 40 years young and I'll be making another trip to Angeles City from Mid February till early March so if anyone is keen for a beer or two then drop me a line. *
I've seen Angeles change over the last few years during my previous visits but this will be my first trip over on my own due to the spur of the moment travel plans. *
I usually contact Swagmans Hotel In Manila for airport pickup then their 600p bus ride to Angeles which then also drops you off at your destined hotel at no extra cost. This trip however I'll be getting my hotel to do the airport transfer because my flight gets in too late for the last Swagmans Bus. Costs four times more but I'd rather be in Angeles city than Manila. *
I booked my stay including pickup with the hotel that someone mentioned below, it's got a great reputation and early booking is a must as I've found out my last two trips where they didn't have any rooms at all. I usually hire a scooter during my stay but since I'll be on Fields this time I'll probably just do the day hire instead of weekly. *
Also, Patty Boy. There is allot of great advice people have given you in the below threads so there's no point in repeating it all. The only thing I can add is treat the locals with respect, don't wear bling and try not bring attention to yourself while out in public. Also remember that when your in these bars, most of these girls have to stand there doing the (Angeles Shuffle Dance) day in day out listening to the same old boring music so once inside the bars, be yourself and show the girls how happy you are by plastering a great big smile on your face and giving then a great big wave.

I've been to AC more times than I can remember and this next time I have 7 weeks to spend there. I am pretty sure I have been in ever bar on Don Juico / Fields or Santos, and bar fined out of many of them. I absolutely love the 'routine' but I am going to need to try something a little different this time and would appreciate any input you may have. I'm not expecting the best experience of my life – safe and pleasurable would be fine. Here are a few venues I was considering.
Lower MacArthur places near the bridge or places along Orosa like Pea Eye or Pink Tonton. I stopped by on my last visit and looked inside the door. These look like KTV with a handful of ladies – one or two looked nice. How does it work? On site? Price?
Mini-bars along Mitchel (the rode that splits off of Fields and hits MacArthur Hwy). I picked up an off duty bar girl there once but wonder if anyone has had any interesting experiences there other than shattered ear drums.
Korean places at the west end of Don Juico like JJ, Di Ba, or Five Senses. It makes me laugh seeing Korean signs in front of a Filipino club. You think they are trying to send gringos a message? I know they are expensive – has anybody bar fined there and is it the same protocol as the places most of us visit.
KTV along north MacArthur like Diane or Club Fairway. I have never bar fined out of a KTV. What is the protocol? Are there rooms there? What do they charge?
Freelance areas akin to Manila Bay Café in Manila. I've picked up off duty girls in the isles of JJ's Supermarket and elsewhere but I'm thinking of something more like a dedicated location. I was wondering about the area in front of the Fields Plaza Complex but other locations would be interesting.
Casas – They must be there. Has anybody tried them in AC? They have to be cheap and creepy but I've done time on Santos.
Fish bowl akin to Thailand – if there was one in AC I am sure I would have found it but I just had to ask. They are always opening up something new.

I've found one of the articles and it will kill Syphilis also (but in the early stages and not when it is too advanced-for that, you need to be hospitalize or IV home therapy with several days of IV antibiotics.
Since Zithromax at a much lower dose will kill Chym. Then using 2000mg=2Gms will kill 2 birds with one stone (med)
So FZ was not making it up as I too remember the same info crossing my path before.
But to be real, like others have said, it is true that STD is not a small matter and if you suspect you have it. Best to see a specialist (MD) that treats STD. I would not go to any family MD without any experience in this field as they could give you the wrong medications and make things worse-IMO.

I know most guys are well-meaning and want to be helpful to others but when it comes to curing ANY STDs for heaven's sake get your ass off to a real doctor and get it treated.I agree 100. The cost of getting proper advice and appropriate treatment is nothing. Furthermore, if you self treat, you don't know if the disease has been fully eradicated. It may just have been reduced to a state where the signs are no longer there. And you only find out a couple of years later when real damage has been done. Also, if you don't get the dose right, you might just have built up resistance to the drug, and then you are in real trouble. The only time that it might even be remotely worth self medicating is if you are somewhere remote and can't get to a doctor for a week or so.
Doctors are cheap in the Phils for this.

For you guys who don't know who that is, he's a practicing MD in Angeles; his clinic is down past the Clarkton Hotel. The first thing you'll notice about him is that he has only one arm! But don't let that scare you away, this guys knows his sexually transmitted infections / diseases. He took a swab, looked under the microscope and told me I had Gonorrhea; he could even tell that it was givien to me orally, for all you pro-condom guys (who uses a condom for BJs in Angeles, anyways?) He gave me a shot and seven days of pills, and told me to get checked again in a week. Yes, it was a little pricey (3100 pesos) but it's my health; that's the one thing I DON'T mind splurging on. Besides, it's still cheaper than coming back to the USA and seeing a doctor; even with health insurance my copays are still more than what I spent paying all-cash to see De Guzman.
Anyway, mongering has risks, and STIs / STDs are one of them. Even if wearing a condom, you can still catch something. Some might be better off staying at home and finding a new, "safer" hobby; perhaps start a baseball card collection or something.

Hospitals in ac are so crowded. At least when I have been there.
The most common non-virus STDs are.
1. Chlamydia.
2. Gonorrhea.
3. Trichomononiasis.
1g Azithromycin will fix #1 & #2 but a 2g dose may be necessary for #2.
#2 may be cheaper treated with 500mg of Ciprofloxaxine because they are available in a generic form as opposed to Pfizer's Zithromax (Azithromycin)
You will need Metronidazole to fix #3.
Syphillis, Chancroid and Granuloma inguinale are actually pretty rare.
But if you want to knock Syphillis of your list too then you will need to add Ceftriaxone as there are strains of Syphillis that are known to be resistant to Azithromycin.
Then there is Cadidiasis / Yeast infection / thrush that can be treated with Diflucan (fluconazole) or Canestan cream.
As for viruses, there are no cure. HIV is rare and actually pretty hard to catch from an infected female even if you BB, however the probability is greatly increased if you are infected with another STD. Problem is you may not know you are infected as some STD's may not show symptoms. The chances of a female contracting HIV from an infected male is higher.
HSV, although condoms will reduce the chances of infection on the covered portion, it is still possible catch this on uncovered portions like scrotum, base of penis, etc. Everyone should wash thoroughly before and after the act, but still no sillver bullet.
Then there are also HPV and Hepatitis.
Seeing a doctor is not a bad idea as some people may have allergies to certain drugs, possible drug interaction with some medication you are currently taking or reduced liver function. Excessive use of antibiotics can damage the liver.
But then again, some of you are on your last legs anyway and probably don't care about your liver.
My 2 cents and my post should be taken with several grains of salt.

Yep that is pretty much what happened! I got a better "deal" on airfare to AC than I could to Manila and had to be somewhere south of Manila the next night, so it was a "one night stand" in AC. All it did was whet my "interest" for sure. My gut feeling is after 3-4 four days / nights in AC I will be searching for something to do and return for fun in the evenings. I mentioned the trip to couple of friends and now they are "gung-ho" to make the trip as well. I am trying to find a way to maybe add a few rounds of golf or something to make the trip a little more interesting. I really want to give the Perimeter Road. Bars a test drive for some afternoon fun!

for chlamydia, very commonly co-infected with gonorrhea, you take one gram (1000 mg) of azithromycin. that's it. if you cannot take this then 100 mg doxycycline ever 12 hours for 7 days, so 14 doses of 100 mg each. stick to azithromycin unless you're allergic.

for gonorrhea you do not take azithromycin, nor did you ever even in the past, nor ciprofloxacin which has lost effectiveness for years.
you take only a third generation cephalosporin specifically 125 mg of ceftriaxone by needle, once, which is unlikely to be done my a non-doctor so take the one pill alternative, cefixime sold as the trade name suprax 400 mg, one pill once. that's it.
cephalasporins sometimes give you the shits but it beats a rotting pecker. take imodium once or twice, you'll be fine.
trich
for trich which is not that common (and you are unlikely to notice you have it) the metronizadole (flagyl) is 2000 mg one dose but if you can find tinidazole sold as fasigyn or tindamax, it's 2000 mg dose is far more well tolerated and has fewer side effects by far than metronidazole. so tinidazole not metronidazole.
note with azoles you cannot drink 72 hours before nor after the dose as you can get sick as hell from the combination of these drugs with alcohol.
syphilis
the advice on syphilis is irresponsible and wrong as the azithromycin study is not final and doctors will not recommend this at all. there is one best treatment which is 2.4 million units of penicillin g benzathine (bicillin) in two sites (2 ass cheeks) once.
if you can tolerate penicillin it is the gold standard. there are studies that go either way on the effectiveness of azithromycin, this and it is a poor alternative to penicillin g. ceftriaxone is not and was not a treatment at all so unless you have gonorrhea as well it won't help.
if you cannot take the penicillin then take doxycycline 200 mg once. 100 mg at bedtime and 100 mg every 12 hours for 3 days. total of 9 100 mg doses including the first two pill dose. do this vs. the azithromycin "advice". syphilis has horrible long term effects and not treating it the minute you see a chancre can kill you.
there is not a doctor in the world who can't diagnose and give the shot for syphilis in about 10 minutes and it costs dick all for the treatment so get the right treatment. don't like needles? use a coney island whitefish (which you should anyway) and don't get syphilis.

Okay been here three years and barely bored yet.

I split my time between the Clarkton and Hotel Amsterdam. Both are great hotels. Clarkton has a great pool and their new rooms behind the pool are great. Clarkton is quieter as it is out of the way, but has a great shuttle service between 6-3am to Fields. Amsterdam has nice rooms as well, no pool, but a nice steak restaurant and it is located a ground zero.
I was surprised at several things in AC. First my timing must have been perfect (first week of January) as I was meeting a lot of girls that were just getting back from the provinces or new ones. I remembered several bar managers from before and they all sang the same tune that business was really slow. I felt sorry for them, but there were a lot of girls and not too many customers so good for me! Also, the once dominant Champagne Group now seems to have average talent and less girls than the Pasha Group bars. I was thoroughly impressed with most of the Pasha bars. I also really like some of the choreographed shows at several of the bars, but I really dislike the new layered pricing for spotlight girls, show girls, and regular dancers. I was thoroughly impressed with the renovated Mirrors Bar at the Clarkton. When I stayed there several years ago, the bar and stage were much smaller and they had maybe a dozen girls when it was good. Now they have 40 girls who are above average in my book and a great cultural show. I spent more time there than I would have imagined. I think Mirrors gets my most improved bar vote and probably best "Perimeter" bar. Candy Bar on Perimeter was also a good place with very good talent and value pricing. And Niftys still delivers the afternoon BBBJ as always. Another gem were the bars behind Paradise beer bar at the end of fields. I wandered into Paradise to have a bite to eat (good food) and to smoke my cigar. As I was going to the CR I noticed the door to the Golden Garter and Love N Music. Both bars had above average talent and no customers (I think it is a challenging location). Also, I was overwhelmed at the Blue Nile with the volume and talent. With Neros and Bedrock closed for renovation ALL of the girls are at the Blue Nile and it is incredible. It does get packed late so I made it an early stop most nights.
All and all AC was a very good stop. I usually don't spend an entire week just in Ac as I tend to go there, find a girl, and they head to a beach for a few days, but it was raining in Northern Luzon and the Visayas so I stayed put and has a great week.

Most people will overlook this building for the sign is just a neon light, which is almost invisible during daylight.
The first thing you'll notice is a bunch of bouncers standing around because you must surrender your cell-phones for no picture taking is allowed. Upon entry, more bouncers were roving around looking for phones and cameras. Interestingly, I was one of only two westerners in a sea of well to do locals. Unfortunately, this is a very smoky place and you'll leave smelling like an ashtray.
Anyone who spends enough time in an AC bar will usually witness a lineup of girls of mostly average lookers with a few sprinkles of hotties and fuglies. However, this is the first time ever, I saw an entire lineup girls where I can quickly say 'I would fuck them all if I had the bucks! ' There were 21 girls in all and not a single one below a 7 in looks. I did not see any rice bellies, stretch marks, or excess body fat. No dark skin beauties but locals seem to favor white skin gals. A few of them were definitely trophy wife pedigree.
The girls would first all lineup for all to see and then, one by one, they would come out flash their tits and snatch as if they were modeling underwear. Unfortunately, I did not even try to hook-up with a gal but I thought the sight of seeing so many beauties on one stage was worth mentioning.

I was there last November with a friend. The crowd, I was told by the mamasan are mostly non local such as from Singapore, Malaysia and other Asian countries. If I remember correctly the drink for customer and the lady cost about double of that at Field, for those drinking in the open space in front of the stage. They have small and big private rooms with one way mirror for looking at the stage from inside the private rooms. The big private room cost P3000 inclusive of 8 lady drinks and 8 bottles of customer drinks; just nice for 2 couples. There is no time limit. However with the girl's great body and great look couple with very few customer (thus girl is horny and wet) it is worth to try. You can lock the door from inside. My suggestion, that I've shared with several guys with similar aspirations is first to come here for a while and to meet other expats who live here. Many of the latter (myself included) have long-term partners, girlfriends, or wives who would be happy to introduce you to a plethora of friends desirous of meeting a foreigner. Establishing a small network of friends is, in my opinion, the surest means of meeting the type of woman who would likely interest you.

Tipping is dependent on International Standard. I believe even Phi locals tip large when it comes to girls although they may not til in restaurents. Girls in LA cade told me that. Ofcourse it may be one sided opinion but even AC girls who sometimes go with locals told me the same thing.
Generally 200-500 pesos is normal as a tip. Having said that if the girl has an attitude or do not provide good service no tip is necessary. I have kicked out quite a few without a tip.
In AC you need to understand these are very poor girls and if the girl shows you a good time be generous. International standard? Hm. I go to Czech Republic every year, and hobby there. The girls normally have to do two hours to get the same pay as an average worker makes in a day. Or if she works 4 hours she gets double the average pay of a local. But she has to see four different clients to make that money.
In the Phils, girls in average jobs (like SM Mall) get about 200 P. So a girl doing a short time of 4 hours gets about 75% more than that. Ie she works four hours to get 175% of local average pay. However, she only has to see one client, and not all that many will do it four times in that four hours.
So roughly, considering the number of hours worked, the number of different clients seen, and the number of insertions, it seems that there is a correlation.
I wonder if people from other places are able to see if there actually is a correlation in other currencies. It would be interesting for the bean counter types amongst us. .
However, I have to say that there is no such thing as an international standard for tipping. Some countries simply do not have tipping as part of their culture. It is really what makes you feel good yourself. I have never felt that giving a tip or not makes any difference to either the service, or, more importantly to whether or not the girl will BF again if I want her to. If 200 P makes you feel good. Do it. If 100, 000 P makes you feel good. Go for it. If 0 P makes you feel good. That's ok too. IT'S YOUR MONEY, and there is no international standard to tell you how to spend it.

Other bars changed their pricing structures from before. There are 2 barfine levels of 1500 and 3000 at Atlantis (I thought some of the 1500 priced girls were cuter than the 3000 priced girls). At Golden Nile, they changed the barfine for most of the girls to 2000 pesos; except the dance troupe who are still 4000 pesos. Icarus was still 1500 and 2000.

1) Go to the bars on Fields in which the barfine is still 1500.
2) Go to Perimeter bars; the barfines are between 1200 to 1500 pesos. After School go-go bar has a short time barfine (3 hours) of 900 pesos.
3) Go to A. Santos street; it should be 700 pesos.
Went afternoon barhopping this afternoon on Perimeter Road. Most beers were approx 50 during happy hour. Most places weren't crowded. The bars are small in Perimeter. Barfines were between 1200 to 1500. There were usually couple of girls in most bars that I would rate as a 6. In Fields, there are several in the big bars that I would rate as 7s; 8 is the best you get. IMO, that's the difference in the quality between Fields and Perimeter.
Started off at Lost in Asia: Barfine was 1350. There were about 3 that I would rate a 6. But 2 of those were cherry girls.
Then After School: Barfine was 1500; it was 900 for short time 3 hours. Fields don't have short time barfine. Does any other bars have short time barfines?

IMO, I thought Atlantis had the cutest girls (overall in terms of quanity and average quality; many 7s). But the sample is from Lost in Asia (never thought they had cute girls) , Cambodia (a few cute ones) , Blue Nile (many 6s) , Golden Nile, Champagne, Lancelot, Lollipop, Forbidden City, Carousel (a close second) , Insomnia (my pesonal favorite) , and Icarus (my favorite girls are gone; darn).

The barfine cost is fixed at most bars and really the bigger bars have tier pricing (1500p-1800-3000 and more).
Food will cost about $5 / meal on average unless you like quality steak at all times.
Drinks are about 100p on average (unless you only drink at happy hours) but the LD varies and this adds up the most the longer you stay at any bar.
Taxi? From airport or from Manila?

ThanksI think if you are going to have two girls a day, you might need to bump that up by about $50. Also, I am assuming no tips. Those are not required, but if you want to pay tips, then you should add whatever you think you need to. Tipping has been comprehensively discussed on these boards, so if you do a search you can find what some people tip, and then adjust the price up and down accordingly. Taxi, add $125 return if coming from Manila airport (you can do it cheaper by bus, but for a first timer, taxi or hotel car service is simplest). That is also in a hotel like the Royal Amsterdam (no pool, nice rooms, mid level, heart of Fields action).
I should also say that I am assuming you have the two girls Long Time. So that extra fifty also covers drink and food for them as well. If you are doing short times, then $150 should be plenty unless you splurge on a hotel or lots of expensive drinks and food.

Since it's only a 2 to 3 hour trip, going for only two days is fine. Returning to Manila, you might find yourself on the Southern Cross or Swagman Fly the bus which have set schedules. We don't know what time your flight is, but it's probably wise to come back the day before.

2. As for transport from Manila you can check out Fly the Bus from swagman Hotel. Some taxi people are willing to take you to AC for 1500 pesos. Depends on what time your flight arrives in Manila.

4. You need atleast 3-4 nights in AC. Take the bus to AC (cheaper) and stay three nights there and come back to Manila and stay one night. If you did not like the experience in Manila first time you can stay five nights in AC.
AC is very addictive. If you leave too early you will feel like you missed something.

I'm coming to the Philippines next month for the first in my life. I really look forward to it. I have an event in Manila, then I plan to extend my stay and go to AC.
My plan is to let my hotel in Manila arrange the transportation from Manila to AC. That must be the safest way. In AC I plan to stay in Royal Amsterdam hotel, as I can understand that is in the middle of action.
But I'm in doubt how many days I shall allocate for AC to see it and have a good time for enjoying AC. Due to my job I have to do as short as possible.

Whether you do that or go back to Manila for a night depends on how early the flight goes. If it is an early flight, I would suggest go back to Manila for the night. If it is a late morning or afternoon / evening flight, stay in AC and use the car service.
Using the bus is feasible, but if it is your first time, and you are getting off a long flight, why bother unless money is tight? The hotel driver will be waiting for you, and you can doze off on the trip back to AC.
Personally I reckon a week is too short. But I am a pervert. .
I recommend that you make it as long as you can. You won't run out of bars in five days. Two days will hardly scratch the surface.

I will be willing to bet you a beer that once you have experienced AC as a first timer you will not want to leave in under a week. This is GREAT advice. My money is on you trying to organise a lift on the day that your flight leaves just few hours before. No point booking hotels in advance you can always get a last minute hotel anyway.

Recently spent 2 weeks in AC and thought I'd provide a short summary of my trip. Sorry I don't have pics to post, but I rarely take photos. First of all in my opinion, the overall quality of girls in the bars seems to be very low right now. I've visited AC 7 times since 2005 and this was easily the worst as far as quality. There are lots of fat girls and in many bars it was hard to find even one that I was really interested in. Don't know why this is – maybe the hottest girls no longer work in the bars instead relying on the Internet & Western Union moneykos, maybe some not back from province after holidays, etc. Of course, quality is subjective so some may not have much problem with this, but when I travel across the world to a dirty town in a 3rd world country, I want to find hot looking, fun girls and that's getting harder to do in AC.
First, some of the positives: One Eyed Wench, a relatively new bar (formerly Tender Touch) was a positive surprise. For a very small bar, there were a pretty good number of cute girls. I EWR'd 2 on different nights (both very nice looking) and there were at least 2 or 3 more I might have tried. Although I generally don't like the big 'show bars' too much, Forbidden City was another one of the few bars that had several hotties in its lineup. I EWR'd 1 who was very pretty. Another at Forbidden City I'd liked to have got hold of was a nice looking chick with huge boobs (also bunch of tattoos). Her boobs drew a lot of attention and she was promptly grabbed up for drinks after hitting the stage the few times I was there. Tropix also seemed to have a decent lineup and Roadhouse had a few decent girls.
Now, some of the lows: Genesis, which had the best overall lineup during my previous trip, has lagged considerably. Atlantis, Dollhouse and Lancelot's lineups also seemed somewhat depleted. Dirty Duck has definitely lost some of its life although I was never too crazy about this bar due to the extremely high drink pressure by waitresses as well as dancers. Some of the bars were downright awful (Voodoo, King of Diamonds, Bodyshop, Coyote Ugly, Treasure Island, Lolipop).
I also visited a few Perimeter bars, but nothing too spectacular to report there either. There was a girl with huge boobs that looked appealing at a bar next door to Candy Bar (Bare Assets I think). Also, Pussycat Dolls had a few decent prospects, the best I noticed being a pool girl.
It seems there's also an increase in girls being very willing to cut the bars out of the equation as I had several who, after 1 EWR, offered to come back for follow up visits (allowing me to avoid paying for an EWR and drinks). Not a bad deal since EWR prices have increased quite a bit over the last year (P1500 is the lowest on Fields, with some bars at P1800 and higher for the 'featured' dancers, P3000 at Dollhouse group and a ridiculous P4000 at Golden Nile). Instead, I just paid the girl her share of the EWR (about ½) and a little bit extra for good service. I don't begrudge the bars making money, but some of them have just gotten ridiculous with their overpricing and double ladies drink pressure. I also met a couple girls from previous trips no longer working in a bar (on Western Union support) who wanted to make some extra money – interestingly, they found me rather than my contacting them (the bamboo telegraph is amazing).
Based on my experience, the lineups at AC bars can change dramatically from one night to the next so I'd always suggest checking for yourself. I hope there's a significant improvement by my next trip though.

The other main disco is more of a live band club with dance floor named R&B and is located out on Perimeter road. There also used to be a second flub disco named Club Klass but I believe it has closed down.
Personally I miss the days of the Pick-up Disco / shakes head sadly.

ABC vs WO depends on you preference. ABC is far better hotel imo. The rooms are better, beds are simply made for f@cking. Pool is not bad, restaurant is tops at least in AC. It is the best hotel overall the most expensive as well. WO has a good pool, and is right in the middle of the action but thats about it. For a short trip both hotels will do. I don't think you need to book that much in advance as ABC should have building 3 up and running by then which will further increase capacity plus they have the condos now as well.

had a daytrip drive to angeles yesterday and found the city absolutely packed with people, there was no room of any type in any of the hotels. i think this is due to the hot air balloon festival ongoing in clark airbase this weekend. after an hour of driving around i got to angeles city proper (where the locals live, away from the balibago redlight district) and found a dinky joint that had a 1000 peso room for me that had a tv and wifi but the floor hasnt been cleaned for a week. the tv was conveniently left with the porn channel on for added stimulus i suppose.

RobbDifferent bars have different policies. You can always check the policy before leaving the bar. Ask the mama or manager. If they spout off anything like,"Well sir, its up to the girl", get your money back right then before leaving the joint. Also post it here, so we know what places to stay out of. When I have time, I will post a tale of the owner of Honky Tonk on Santos, who spelled out her girl's requirements (things they must do and are not supposed to do) in an angry dress-down of one two of her girls. Right there in front of everyone. A former older waitress in Body Shop that I dated also told me their bar's rules for the girls. Same for Coyote Ugly. Different places have different rules for what the girls can do, and when they will give a partial or full refund. I've got refunds, partial refunds, and on the other end of the spectrum, I have had manager or mama make the girl return later the next day to finish her time when she ran (twice, once in AC, once in Cebu) ; they would rather her finish the time than refund money. They are also extremely hesitant to refund anything in front of employees or customers. You might have to return the next day before the bar officially opens to get the refund.
Further agree on treating them with respect. As with anyone it will get you farther in the long run.
They have to earn YOUR respect first. Only then can you reciprocate it. It's their job to win you over not the other way around. Remember, we are the ones with the money and power. So many guys act like pussies and give in to these sex workers like they are special girls.
I'm not advocating treating them like shit, but the burden is certainly on them to prove that they deserve respect. Once they've proven themselves then the ride is good and she understands what her role is.

If you simply must fuck an AC bar girl then try Voodoo and Doll House. Girls from these bars are recommended for guys wanting more than one pop.I can vouch for the Voodoo girls I took out. Multiple pops were not a problem for me.

I stayed at ABC end of year last year. The place was very nice I really liked it. The only thing I really disliked was that they tried to cheat me when I checked out. They wanted to charge me the wrong price and they tried it even twice. Not really serious. Thats made me think not to use ABC anymore.

Thanks everyone for their advice. I will be checking in at PBH tomorrow and staying for 3 nights. Hope to have some good reports and pictures to post. Decided to stick to the gogo clubs and maybe check out a blow bar. Not really worried about price so much as getting multiple pops and LT and finding some young hotties I can connect with. Really looking forward to comparing my trips to BKK vs AC. Currently in BKK and having a great time. Still getting the benefit of the cool season but paying less for hotels, girls, etc.

I have kicked girls out of the hotel, but not one wanted to go early. I normally barfine out of Fields, few times out of perimeter so I can't speak much for that side. During the day my takeout is almost always ST as I like to do numbers and I am clear at that while at night, I normally barfine around 10-12 and again I am clear that I expect her to stay until the morning.

Its accessible by paved road, and you can get there by any jeepney, car, motorbike in 1hour travel from Angeles.
From there, the rough road begins. We hired a jeep in Spa Town for 1500 with driver / guide plus some money for the "conservation fee". You can go in there with your own vehicle but you need a true offroad 4x4 like a Humvee, the road is rough crossing several creeks and hills, for another 1hour travel.
At the end of the rough road there is a jeep parking area and a 20 minutes walk to the volcano crater. You can hire a rowboat there to explore the inner lake of the crater.

After walking up and down once, decided to hit the bigger clubs for night one, Atlantis, Crystal Palace and Club Asia (?). There are definitely a lot of choices in Atlantis but none which caught my fancy. I spotted a few from afar but up close each looked a bit older and weathered. No big deal admit was my first club on my first night. Headed over to Club Asia and the selection there was even worse. Found one dancer I liked and bought her a drink. A 3k peso girl, but I didn't really care to much about the price. What stopped me from taking her was her no LT policy. Says she always leaves after one pop. Could not even negotiate a 2 hour stay with 2 pops with a nice tip. Next headed Crystal Palace. What a bummer lineup. The worst of the 3. But I was there about midnight so maybe all the best ones are taken by then?
Was about to give up but decided to try Atlantis once more. Saw a couple I liked but both were already with customers. Of the other 50+ I saw, only saw a handful that interested me. Like Phillip who you had responded with your post. I also had a few runners over the last few times I visited AC. Regardless of all the questions I (we) ask beforehand. Some knows the score and are now fluent in their lies (what we want to hear). They also know once we bang them once they can start with their games as refunds are now out of the question. So they act very normal and GF like until we pop once.
The usual times I BF the ladies LT starts at 9pm and continue up to 12 until I find one I like.
The ratio of runners for me so far with several trips to AC under my belt is about 1 in 5. And seems to be getting worse with each visit.

Just not that happy hour does not include a number of drinks eg (orange juice which cost me 85 peso) even though it was happy hour.
Manager could not give a shit said it was not a local drink even though it is in every other bar I have been in.
The 85 p is not problem it is the principal of it and what other drinks do they class as non local.
Anyway they have lost my business for good. I don't think you should give up on a bar over 1 drink? As they may not even be out to cheat you but its just the bar policy is different from all the others you been to.
Remember what Westcoast had posted before about each bar having different rules. Meaning not all bars have the same menu and prices. We usually assume that most bars are the same with the drinks but as you found out is not always the case.
So when in doubt simply ask if what you are ordering is consider a happy hour drink.

' you say no to one and two feet behind that one is another vendor wanting to sell you the same thing, you say no again then two feet after that another asks the same question.
They Are Fukkn Annoying And they will sell you dud vitamins for 500pesos. You can talk them down to 100pesos but why pay for duds.

I am trying to find soda water (seltzer) which seems to be sold in every bar but not in any supermarket. I tried Mr JJ and the 7-11 near Fields. Someone at 7-11 said I could get it at the mall but that seems like a real bother and may not even be true. Any ideas?You could try the Drink factory outlets (if that's what they are called)
There is one located near Affinitty Condo Resort, Corner of Valdes and Sofia streets.
From the Jeepney terminal walk across the road towards the Tiger Hotel. Second street on the right, (Valdes st) then first corner on the left, (Sofia st) Big red doors with a guard out front.
The other one is just behind the ABC Hotel in 22nd st.
Walk past the ABC, Left at Dr Holmes and Eruptions Bars into San Angelo st then first left into 22nd st. Youll see the warehouse on your right.

I'm a regular visitor of AC over the past 13 years. I'm there in average twice a year for about 5 days of each stay.
Since I have read many stories in this forum from guys who had bad experiences with girls in AC I want to share with you my attitude with which I've very little bad experiences only.
Initial situation:
From the view of the bars the owners and managers of the bars, mamasans and girls who work for the bars, all just want to have your money with lowest effort. You (the man) wants to have a nice girl who will be satisfying all your desires.
How I work:
I visit a bar where I had a nice girl from before or where I think I can get a nice girl from. I walk into the bar, look around and when I see there a nice girl I'd like to fuck I sit down only and order a drink. If I do not see any girl I like to fuck I just leave the bar without ordering anything (0 damage). So when I've seen a nice girl there I like to fuck I sit down close to her. Then I make eye contact with her and smile to her. If she does not smile back then I look around in the bar for another girl. From my point of view if a girl does not give to you any attention then she's not worth to be barfined. If you do, the time with her will be not great. If a girl likes you and she shows it to you by e. G. A smile then you can continue with her. If there's no girl else I like I I leave the bar immediately and go to another bar (0 damage). If the girls smiles back then I invite her to come to me and sit down next to me. After she came and sat down next to me I look at her first if I really still want to fuck her or not anymore. If I still want to fuck her I speak with her about ALL details."If I barfine you, until what time can you stay with me? How many rounds we'll have together before you leave?" After this discussion and if I'll still want to fuck this girl I buy her a ladies drink only and for me the first drink too. If after this discussion I do not want to fuck her I do NOT buy her a ladies drink and for me also no drink (0 damage). After this ladies drink I pay the barfine and leave the bar with the girl. With the discussion about all (major) points of your business relation with the girl the chance is 90% or even more that the girl will follow all details you have agreed with her. One thing more: Before you start your session with her, stick your finger into her pussy in order to check if she does not have any menstruation if you do not want to fuck her with menstruation. If you find out she has her menstruation before you start to fuck you can always go back with her to the bar where you took her and can ask for your money back which will be paid back to you. This is how I work in AC. Yes, it's true many girls are spoiled who do not give a good service (anymore). In order not to end with these girls in your room follow my instructions above and you'll have a chance of 80% or more to have a great time with the girl you took. I take girls from bars only where I can go back to when there occurs any problem with the girl. Another thing is the girls from the bars are usually tested to STD weekly. The freelancers on the streets are not and many freelancers HAVE STDs. The maximum barfine I'm willing to pay in AC for a girl is 1500 PHP for 2 shots + the drinks (1 ladydrink and 1 drink for me only).

NAME THE BAR! That is what this forum is about, lets see if it is like that and at least we know to either avoid it or we know what we are in for.
I've never had a problem with the stuff the street vendors sell. Also some of the bars will sell you stuff, but I don't think it's any different that what the street venders get.
