It was also interesting that near the end of the film, the director focused in on the young daughter with her aspirations of becoming a stewardess. I've been following the running commentary on bar girls for the past several days, not because any new insights were presented, but because the "debate," about the topic reinforced some earlier conclusions I had reached about this recurrent theme. That many of these young women may have become hardened, jaded and less than truthful should come as no surprise, given the endless bs with which they deal day-to-day, the contemptuous manner in which they're viewed and treated by some, and the cognitive dissonance precipitated by what they do vs. The lives they wish they could lead.
For those who have never been exposed to the extreme poverty, large families and subsistence living conditions from which many of these ladies come, perhaps you should venture into such communities during your next vacation. Who knows? Such an experience might even engender a bit of, if not compassion, then at least understanding.

In my opinion, many of the posters are only able to view the topic through Western eyes! They have no idea of the sense of filial responsibility that many of these SYTs have. And those from developed countries cannot truly appreciate the utter despair of having no education, nothing to eat, and no prospects for a decent job. Many have starved to death or died because of inability to pay for medical services in some of these Asian countries during recent years (38 million starved to death in China during the Great Leap Forward); this influences the culture and attitudes.
Based on my experience of having lived in Asia for 30 of the last 40 years, the following is my understanding of many of the reasons for the girls entering the industry (it is impossible to put percentages on each of the reasons as no real research has been carried out, and they would vary from country to country and even province to province).
Willing(?) Entrants:
• earn money to support the family
• earn capital to establish a small business, buy land, or build family home
• worked in related industry (veggie masseuse, receptionist etc) and after living with and speaking to WGs, decided the business was OK for a while
• preferable to working in a factory and living in a squalid dormitory

The wet season affects Manila much more than AC. Manila regularly has flash flooding & *MASSIVE* traffic chaos associated with it. Manila traffic is beyond my tolerance. The Main international hub is in Manila hence flights affected by tropical storms & Typhoons.
In AC you get temporary disruptions by heavy storms of shortish duration, sometimes at the height of the rainy season you get days of heavy rain. Power outages in shopping centres & public buildings associated with storms as in the rest of the Phils are common but usually short duration here.
Since you are asking this question on a sex forum one assumes you'd like to know the affect of the rainy season has on the local supply. In short rainy season is "the hungry season". Bars are quieter (less customers). You are more likely to get a GFE or even temporary GF as the girls are struggling to pay the rent / food / utilities bills. I'm talking about the average bar girl. In my experience (I know far to many BG's here LOL) The majority are single mothers caught in a poverty trap & its the blood sucking families behind it either overtly or covertly. Still here despite all of my whining and complaining about the place a month and a half has gone by and I am still here and have been able to bar fine every night. Rejection is still there but does not seem as prevalent as before. Not sure If I am having better luck or I am just avoiding the places where I had dismal luck and spending all of my time at the bars where I have had good success. Thus far my best luck has been at Doll House where I have been able to bar fine what I consider to be the hottest girls in the place the very first time I ask and have not as of yet felt the sting of rejection from any of the doll house girls. Have also had great success at Camelot, Brown Sugar, and Insomnia. Bars where I have had absolutely dismal success are Pony Tails where I am one for seven, Atlantis where I am zero for four, Texas, Viking, Colors where I can't even get the door girls to even look my way let alone invite me inside. Have had a few High Society girls who keep blowing my phone up along with a door girl from Lolly pop and a gogo girl I met at the pool party from Crystal Palace who are also constantly blowing my phone up. Once you bar fine a girl they can be as sweet as honey and many can be quite difficult to get rid of the next day.

I try to keep conversations and questions lite and interesting, but for some reason, this Angeles City board is just full of angst and bitterness. There was a flame war going on for a week between some other parties, which I just watched from the sidelines. Then someone posted a controversial, but insightful post. I put a short one sentence comment (I think it was "well said" or ask an honest question, and the cronies explode.
Maybe I should have just let it slide. There is a saying: You can't fight a pig in the mud. You'll get dirty and filthy, and they'll just be rolling around enjoying it.
None of the other regional boards are like this. I don't get it. Does the PI tend to draw a certain type of punter? Or is it just a small band of misfits?

Given that this bar has maybe the most girls working in it then any bar in AC at least top 3 right? One could go into the bar on 5 separate occasions and get 5 different outcomes on their experience do to the the fact you will each timeyou will run into different girls depending on where you sit and what shift is actually working at that time. So he goes back the 5th time and sees a girl he actually has seen before in the past and she goes with him. The 1st 4 times he gets unlucky and talks to girls who didn't like him or know him enough to go out with him sounds normal to me. However, I immediately recognised the ambiguity in CL's post. It did not require advanced comprehension skills to recognise. The ambiguity was resolved, to my satisfaction, later in the same paragraph when he wrote "had an ace in the sleeve with this girl", and thus I did not need to read the earlier posts..
At one time or another all of us have been guilty of less than perfect writing. But I do try and reread my writing before posting to check for ambiguities and clarity (or lack of)!
In this case, I just thought "Good luck to him, he had success after a run of bad luck. I better take note that Atlantis may not be the best place to monger".

You'll see that I "commiserated" and even "acknowledged" his "persistence". At worst my comment can be read as a gentle dig. Given that the great majority of AC visitors are short timers who've spent from $500 to $1500 on airfare and another $100 to $200 per day on food and lodging I reckon most would want to maximize their AC experience to gain the greatest hapenis during the 7-14 days they're there. As Mr. Long wisely stated: "... I am avoiding any place in the past where I have been rejected and focusing on the bars where I have had success. " Seems to me that he himself found Atlantis not worth the gamble. The payout just ain't there.

There are a ton of reasons why a girl might not go with you in a given night I think we have covered quite a few of these (LOL).
Last night, I wandered into one of the bars on Fields. I had seen one of the waitresses going to work. I had put some effort into trying to get her to go out on previous visits a couple of months ago, without success. She went "back in the province" for a month and only recently back to work. She has a great smile, lovely to look at, older BUT NO KIDS.
Last nights boom2 x was very nice!

Sometimes I need an alternate venue to my condo. Tried the Tune Hotel for a Pony Tails girl. Pro's: clean & modern. Like all Tunes' it condenses down the hotel experience to a minimal but classy experience. Eighteen minors were rescued in a raid on night clubs in Angeles City in Pampanga on Saturday night, the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said Sunday.
According to see / Insp. Elizabeth Jasmin, CIDG spokesperson, a team from the CIDG and Anti-Transnational Crime Unit raided Grand Pharaoh and Golden Calypso night clubs in Balibago, Angeles City.
Arrested in the raid were Mark Franklin Hill, a US citizen who was identified as the officer in charge of the night clubs, two head waitresses and 17 others.
CIDG said the suspects as well as the rescued minors were brought to the ATCU office in Camp Crame before dawn Sunday "for proper disposition of the case".
The suspects face charges for allegedly violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, CIDG said. — JDS, GMA News.

Police said Hill and the other suspect operated a prostitution syndicate that recruited young women from the eastern Philippines, where the typhoon wiped out communities and killed more than 6,200 last year.
Good news, at least for me. Air Asia resumes its flights from KL to Clark from 17th October onwards. 4 flights per week.

I think best option is over Manilla, with Cebu Pacific Air, 3 hour direct, 120 dollar. Thats leaves money for a taxi.

No more they stop that route in DEC 2013 I took the flight in NOV last yr it was the last week of that flight from BBK to Clark with only 60 passager, Cebu pacific also cancel that route early this yr so going to Manila is the best option now.

Wasn't cancelled then. I took Tiger CRK BKK on Feb 18. It's definitely cancelled now though. Back to the bus to Manila for me or stop going there period. The main reason for me going to AC was because my cheap flight back to BKK left from there.

Tiger air cancel many flight form SE Asia to Clark flight is much cheaper than Manila, I think Tiger still fly Macau to Clark cost is about 60 USD but from Hong Kong is twice as much.

Cebu and tiger have this route on their website but when you try to book it, you will find none available.
You could fly through Hong Kong on different airlines but no easy way.

Nirvana raided last night.
New bar Nirvana which opened up about a month ago was raided last night and shut down. Roomer was the owner felt he was above making any donations so he never made them. The girls as of the time of this writing a day later are still being held at San Fernando police station apparently they have access to their phones as I am getting text messages from one girl I know who is still being held. She said the owner is not cooperating and being a real jerk so the police are still holding the girls. Its a shame really because I have had four girls from this bar either bar fined them directly from the bar or knew them from the previous bar they worked at or met them at High Society when they were off work and all four are nice girls who don't deserve to be held like this just because the owner is a real jerk.
On another note Grand Pharaohs and Calypso which were raided last week are back open, in fact they opened up the very next day. For the first few days the girls did not where their uniforms and they did not turn on the lights but they were there working. Now everything is back to normal as the girls are wearing their uniforms and the lights are back on. I guess they made the right donation.
