Hello fellow Mongers,
I arrived yesterday and need to let off some steam. It was about 3pm, so I went over to Santos St. There are about 5 blow job clubs in a row. I think I ended up in Shadow's.Thanks for the heads-up on Shadow's. Santos is a must-visit for me at least once per trip, typically in the early afternoon. So far I've only partaken at Black Pearl and WOW, with Black Pearl being a tad better both times (YMMV, of course). Shadow's will have to be on the list next time.

Went bar hopping last night. I know everyone has different ideas of what a hottie is, but here is what I thought about last night.
Angel Witch = First bar I went to, lots of girls, ok quality
Brown Sugar = Didn't notice any stunners
Treasure Island = There were a couple good looking girls. There were about 5 chicks in there that were really skinny (:))
la Pasha = Had a sign that it was closed for a private party.
Viper Room = Had an absolute gem. One of you lucky bastards barfined her before I could call her over. There were another 2 good lookers in there.
Cambodia = Didn't notice one hottie. Waitresses were hotter
Blue Nile = Too many girls to remember, saw at least 5 hotties. Ended up barfining a girl from this club. Forgot her name (I never remember names), but she was one of the girls dancing on the tables. She was 25 and had to be around 100 lbs. Definate hottie w/ a body. Barfine was 1350p, one mama drink, one ladies drink, and a beer for me. Total damage plus waitress tip, 1800p.
This girl performed!! I didn't tell her I took a Lavitra, but she found out. She didn't even complain. I could tell when she was exausted because she kinda just laid there. At the beginning, she was really into it!! I asked her if I could take some pics, but she wasn't having that. Sorry fellow mongers. Definately worth the money here.
I think I found a new strategy. Start off at the ok bars, then end up at the higher end gogos. Saves money and the girls just look that much better.

yes cambodia..I don tknow what happen to them, evrytime I went there the gurls get more ugly. The bar it self ain tbad, the papa san is ok and nice guy, but his gurls LOL....drinking doesnt help much..maybe they should hire a better mama san..Insomia is the same, ugly ugly, bair aint bad, but gurls are like dogs...
I also spot the table dancer gurls, so I know what you talking about brother..I like your strategy, but for me if I end up in blue nile, mostly executive I had 12 beers pus plus and little memory the next day. if I sped papa sans a drink, they give me 5 LOL, so I gave up on that :D
SOme advice, if you climb :D up the stairs from blue nile to Blue nile executive, you should take a seat there, you can see the stage dancers better, also many gurls sit there to have some rest after their perfomance. YOu can easily chat to them, chat to the gurls on stage and might get lucky with ur lady of the heart. Sit down, relax and take a look whats going on...

I have always wanted to experience the different bars on Perimeter, but I hated the distance and need for a trike.
Hopefully I will see / meet fellow mongers there.

You are right, in the Blue Nile Executive Club the girls are nice, and the mamasan are very active. There is only one thing that is special there: Neither the mamasan nor the girls care about westerners! I was there a couple of times in January 2008 and made this (astonishing?) experience. There were Korean, Japanese, and some other Asians, and they got a lot of attention. I have not noticed this so strongly like in the Blue Nile Executive Club. They'd better called it "Blue Nile Asian Club".
For all the other clubs, I did not have the impression that they cater only for the Asian men. Some had a tendency to favor Asian men, but there were still good options for westerners as well.

The slot machines at Blue Nile are a big draw for many Asians who are major gamblers. That generates way more revenue than barfines. I dislike the place as it is among the smokiest of the bars and, as a roundeye, feel like a bit of a second class citizen. Only time to go is Tuesday at 6pm when dancers from a dozen or more bars are on exhibit and they do that raffle of prizes.

Some years ago, the BNG (Blue Nile Group) bars viz. Blue Nile, Blue Nile Executive, Mistys, Neros, Cambodia and Bedrock were terrific bars as far as management and girls were concerned. You could go to these bars and find a girl you would like and more than likely you would not visit the other bars. The BNG of bars was the best. In the last 2/3 years, the BNG bars have been in gradual decline in regard to the overall standard of girls and management. IMHO Blue Nile Executive is overpriced and you pay more for less. The music in Blue Nile is extremely loud and the girls appear "far Away" on the elevated platform. Neros has those stupid slot machines and has a bad reputation for 'runners' and early leavers. Mistys and Cambodia use to be excellent bars in their hey-day but have not improved due to constant neglect. However, you can be fortunate if you go on Friday/Saturday night. You may score one or two good lookers.
The Champagne Group I. E. Lancelot, Camelot, Brown Sugar and Champagne is very efficiently managed and owned by Germans. There are many girls in these bars. You can confidently go to these bars and feel comfortable. JMHO Doll House and Atlantis will overcharge on ladies' drinks. The two tier structure on bar fines is a bull shit thing.
La Pasha Group--Typhoon, Carousel and La Pasha. Excellent as far as girls and management. The Germans certainly know how to run a business in a very professional manner.
I have only commented on the mainstream bars. There are many mongers on this board who know a lot more than I do.compared to them I am just small potatoes.

Hi PH, yep, agree with you, its so cheap which is what makes it worth going there for sure.
Nobody has mentioned Gecko's bar. Its a small bar sandwiched between the big clubs near Dolls house. When I was there a couple of weeks ago I found it a really happy fun little bar with some very nice fresh girls. Prices were ok also.

I been to cherry bar and the bar besides, its now one and the same bar, Gentlemans club(?) and another joint beside that, open allready 10 am LOL...went to Illusions near Phoenix hotel, but cant be compared to the place where it was before..next to roadhose club on fields..
Not sure where you buy your cialis, did you try those jelly thing? I can confirm it works pretty good, you just swallow it. YOu can get that in the club or tomcat..have seen it there..but cialis worked also pretty good on me..took it the first time (50mg) some monthh ago..but now I wont take anything of this stuff, it aint good, you can get addicted if you use it to often..

yes I like those places also, not because Im german, but they have a good mixture of music and line ups..also they take good care of their customers and you can allways have good time there. atantis and Dh , well, actually I don tlike those bars, but they have some gurls Im interested at and I love gurls..I think gurls working there really think its something special, but I dont argue with that on them, I tell them whatthey like to hear to get scored :D..
Hopefully one big spender will pull out some money and pay the high amount for a cherry gurl in those bars, so I can take over after him , Im not into cherrys...so hopefully someone is going to pay the price (50 000 and up ha ha ha)

I live here and go to the bars often. I have seen someone actually play the slots a total of ONE TIME. I'm sitting next to a girl from neros right now and asked her how many times a night she sees a customer playing the machines. Her answer is "less than ten".

This is my experience too. The Niles is taken over by the Japanese / Koreans, not a bad word bout them but that leaves me no room there. I feel a lot of the girls in some bars are really turndown, I would bet someone is never barfined.
New Atlantis is supposed to be an amazing 4 floors. But according waitress the top two reserved for special purposes. Available for single was only the ground floor pluss the halv 2nd floor looking down at the dancing stage. Means not too big really. And I felt Atlantis a little cold for me.
Been down the Perimeter road (follow Fields 500 meter towards Clark) and got some new experience. Here they start 2pm, the girls quite into it and willing to please. But not many hotties.

go fly to bKK and check out the scene there and then you know what I was talking earlier...lack of quality in AC.....you have to dig deeper to find a gurl who you like and who likes you. I recomand you try other destinations too, like I did, I was absence in BKk for allmost 8 years and going back there was great. I suggest drink more beer and AC looks better LOL...serious...on m last trip I didnt barfine any gurl, I have a GF and some "contacts" in AC, I did ST in santos street, had some massages in roman bath and went barhop with some gurls I befriended, went back to Manila to get some sleep and took the flight next day to BKK cause I know I wouldnt be disappointed with the looks of the gurls..only problem is the language, but....this also changes..and well if I want conversation I have a beer with sme expats over there and after that well......

The girls seem fussier than for instance those in Makati, but thats probably because they are new in the business I think. When i was in AC a couple of weeks ago it seemed like maybe 50% or more of the girls were 'cherry' as in new to the business (their actual virginity is highly suspect). These newbie girls still look at customers as potential boyfriends & a quick exit from the business. So if your looking for passionate girlfriend sex, well, AC is a great place.
Girls that graduate to the big time in Manila have already made the mental adjustment to being a professionals and quite likely if they have stayed in the business its because they like it better than the alternative. Makati seems to be the place to go if you want wild pornstar sex.

Hi, reading these last days it seems like the standard of girls and bars is lower now than before. In these forum I read the girls are uglier and more fat. And even the bars is not so funny.
This is my experience too. The Niles is taken over by the Japanese / Koreans, not a bad word bout them but that leaves me no room there. I feel a lot of the girls in some bars are really turndown, I would bet someone is never barfined.

As Amavida states, Viagra and Cialis are available everywhere in AC. Street prices are cheap, but I have heard mixed results about quality (sometimes good, sometimes bad, sometimes ugly). IMHO, safer to pay more, and be more sure of quality (but can't be 100% in AC), by buying directly from the many pharmacies on Fields and MacArthur Streets. I only purchased from pharmacies and was never asked for a perscription. I can't remember the exact price paid.

Hi X, Yeah I notice the headache also. Its a known side effect of the real thing. Paracetamol & Ibuprofen is a good combination also for relief. Just watch out for taking too much Paracetamol if you're drinking heavily (hard on the liver). Aspirin & Ibuprofen can aggravate gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining) which is also associated with heavy drinking. Same old story, drink or fuck pick one.
Personally I find Cialis a better choice than Viagra because it lasts longer. Just pop one in the morning when you wake up & you're as good as a porn star for 36 hours. I usually find that after 24 hours of heavy shagging the street stuff is wearing off... never bought the Pharmacy version so i don't know if it is different. Either Im getting older or the girls are getting more numerous.. probably a little of both ;)

Here's the plan.
Do your homework first.
If you are not familiar with Cialis (20mg.) go to your local drugstore / chemist / pharmacy and check out what it looks like. Examine the box and inside there are two cards with bubble packs each containing 2 tablets. Note the colour of the tablets.
When you are in AC you will be approached by vendors selling Viagra, Cialis and other crap.Let the vendor know you are local and you want Cialis. The vendor will try to sell you something else. You then look him straight in the eye, pause and say in a firm manner " I want Cialis-20 mg." The vendor may or may not have it. If the vendor believes you are local, he may open at P400. You look at him,and as cool as you like, you say I only paid p150 last time. Then you walk. The vendor will more than likely come to the party. You must check the box and see what you are getting-look at the back of the packs carefully to see there has been no tampering. If you have done your homework, you will recognise the product. When you say you are a local, the vendor will then understand that if there is a problem you will come looking for him. Therefore, the risk of him scamming you is alleviated.
Just a friendly piece of advice.
1) If this is your first time, take half a tablet and go easy on the alcohol.
2) Don't buy Cialis in bottles (100mg.)- I suspect it is the generic shit from India-IMHO.
3) If there is a slight chance the tablets are fake, you will be out-of-pocket p150. Then you go to the drugstore and pay P2,500 foe 4 tablets.

If you are buying Cialis on the street, you can get 3 bottles of 10x 50mg easily for 700p. You can talk and talk, but maybe they will go to 650p. I only go to the same guy and tell him if it dosn't work, I will switch to another salesperson. It hasn't failed me and they always work.

BF's are in the range of 1300p to 1400p in AC at the moment. Try to go with 1300 or 1350 at most but in some cases you are now being required to pay 1400. These prices are LT. The bar fine is all inclusive, a tip is to the girl is optional.
There are 'professional' dancers at places like Atlantis. These girls do a special solo dance every hour or so on stage. They have the moves & the superb bodies to justify their star billing.
They are bar fineable but charge 3000p, 5000p or more for LT. I dont know if these girls do ST. I shudder to think what these chicks ask for a tip... Probably have a primadonna attitude also.

PB is gud choice, good value for money. For the pool thing its k for me. bargurls love it, You can just easily walk from the PB to the WOI and have a beer at their pool or whatever you like. Try also ABC hotel, if you like pools.

The pool at ABC sucks. It is dirty and it is surrounded by the hotel. You won't get any sun tan it all.
For better pool, go to Pacific breeze or the Orchild Hotel. They are much better designed and new and clean, but rooms here cost much more than the ABC.

Santos bars are so small and only small in number so you should take a look at all of them, see if any suit you and then go for it - it might take twenty minutes at the most to check them out in detail. Similar perimeter bars are Matrix Brawn, Nifty's and Sweetys (although they make a pretence at having some dancers which Santos bars do not). Real small holes in the wall and the 'rooms' are really ratty - but for 500-600p bjcim I don't expect much. Lady drinks depend, but budget on between 120 cheapest and 170 most (although check as some bars will charge for 'doubles' if they think they can get away with it.

ABC pool is by far the most interesting visually (I will post a couple pictures tonight), albeit quite small and it is blocked from getting sun except for a few hours midday. Rooms at ABC are among the most pricey in Angeles, however.
Pacific Breeze is the best value and location, but consequently you must book well in advance. Pool is heavily used and does not offer much privacy.
Wild Orchid has a nice pool, but rooms are overpriced and they will not discount.
Orchid Inn, Jasmine wing, rooms are quite nice and the pool there is quite nice.
Best pool is at Oasis. Largest, gets loads of sun and has nice landscaping. Not busy as most guests are on business (not monkey business). Myself and the GF had it to ourselves most every morning (except for a half blind octogenarian Japanese who could not see us pushing the limits of the envelop on the rule prohibiting public intimacy LOL). I like being a mile away from the craziness, and only had to take as trike once (when it was pouring rain one evening). 7.5 Piso jeepney ride to checkpoint, and never waited more than 5 minutes. Also quite close to many of the smaller bars stretch out near Clarkton. Cannot mention which for obvious reasons, but one had full nudity last week, and the girls are o much friendlier than in the big places (e.e Dollhouse, Atlantis).
Atlantis facilities are nicer than any gogo I have seen in Thailand or the Philippines. Full lineup had more than 100 dancers. Pricing is the same as elsewhere (unless you are foolish enough to pay 3000 for a "featured show girl" who are, in general, no better looking than the 1350 Piso girls). The upstairs balcony seems to have started a trend of big spenders throwing handfuls of 20 Piso notes to the throng of dancers a level down on the main stage. Not only Koreans doing it either.

As you are only there for 3 nights and if you are a picky monger and do like to bag the best looking girl in the club then i would suggest you hit the popular clubs shortly after they open i.e. around 6pm. You'll need to hang around in the bar for about 30 mins to see both line ups. You will find most of the lookers are snapped up by 8pm unless its a weekday.
For the PR bars i would head out at around 2pm. Most are open by then.

It was very comfortable and cheap, only P110/one way. To get there take the MRT rail line headed towards Quezon from Makati (Buendia Station) and get off on the GMA stop (about a 20 minute ride). Go all the way down the stairs to the street and go right about twenty yards. There's a bus stop there on EDSA. Look for an aircon bus with a destination placard that says "Dau" on the bus's right lower window. The sign might be small and there are usually multiple signs. If you get confused ask someone and you'll get help. You shouldn't have to wait more than ten minutes. Get on the bus and they'll collect your fare later. Tell the fare collector you are going to Dau. The ride takes just a little over an hour. The first large bus terminal you stop at, Malabacat, is your destination. Get off here and find a trike to take you to your hotel. Alternatively, get a trike to take you to the motor scooter rental place on Fields Ave across the street from the Mr. Frosty. Scooters cost only P300/day and the mobility is well worth it to me. It can be a helluva lot of fun too, especially if you tour Clark airbase and get near the mountains.
On your way back to Makati, get a trike to take you to Malabacat (Dau) Bus terminal. Get on an aircon bus to "Pasay" (a suburb of Manila). Tell the fare collector you want to get off at Makati, at Buendia. Pretty easy and fast. Try to leave Manila before 3pm to avoid the traffic and arrive back either before 3pm or after 9pm. The buses are comfortable and cool, some even have TVs with movies showing. I'm really impressed with the bus service here in the Philippines and maybe you will be too if you try it. And take the MRT as well, it is much faster to get to the GMA stop on EDSA that way.
Total Costs:
Cab to MRT: P50
MRT: P12
Bus Fare: P110 x 2 = P220
Trike: P50 x 2 = P100
Total: P382 roundtrip

Santos bars are so small and only small in number so you should take a look at all of them, see if any suit you and then go for it - it might take twenty minutes at the most to check them out in detail. You must be aware that when you are in The Philippines especially AC and looking for a cherry girl to bust then there may possibly be some inherent pitfalls.

I have to disagree with this assessment. Due to the orientation of the pool and the buildings, the pool stays in the shade for a large part of the day. As a result the water is friggin' COLD. Yesterday, good friday, some bars were closed. Other bars opened but the volume of music cut back a bit and the girls in their normal dresses.

Going to break away from my Pattaya trip and try pastures new, I have RTFFed for ages but still have a couple of questions I need answering, sorry guys.
I am planning to fly into clark from Singapore with Tiger I think this is probably the best option but open to criticism, I am thinking of staying at the Oasis hotel.
My questions are siimple are ATMs in abundance, is there 1 at Clark?
Am I correct in saying a bar fine is around 1200-1300 pesos for LT, when I visit Pattaya I always pay 1000baht overnight + 200-300 bar fine.
I have read the posted comparisons between Pattaya and Angeles it makes a difficult decision.

There are plenty of ATMs in Clark Mall, though I have found that there is a lot of 'downtime' so don't leave it till the last minute to cash up. Also, sometimes one of the plus or cirrus networks is down, so take one card of each. (On my first trip a few years ago, the plus network did not seem to work over the whole period). I did not see an ATM at the airport, but there are money changers - take a couple of small notes to cash at the airport, that will get you into town. Also the money changers in town are quite reasonable, so if you get there with a few hundred $$ it will get you a quick start on things that really matter. (The airport situation may change soon though, since they are redeveloping and new stuff is being added daily).
Tiger is a good way to get to Angeles - ten mins from the airport and you are in the middle of the action you need.
Your barfine estimates are correct, but you might find some charging 1350, and places like Dollhouse and Agasaya will charge more for 'dancers' - I have never thought that a good option as I personally cannot see that the 'dancers' are any better on average than the rest. (In fact, I was there last week, and my bf wanted me to go to DH to have a look, and I thought that the 'dancers' were not that good at all). However, up to you. Perimeter bars will be a little cheaper and it is worth your while to check since they also open up earlier in the day.

For example, in Thailand where I think your remarks would be very true, the ladies can speak a limited English based on bar vocabulary - however once you get outside that limited situation, they cannot converse at all.
However, in the Philippines, you can have a conversation about say, families with quite complicated relationships, cousins, second cousins, aunties and uncles, and they will understand completely. Another sign is that they do not always miss out definite and indefinite articles such as 'the' and 'a' in the way that Thai BGs do. If you talk to the ladies from the Phils, they will have a vocabulary that is way way greater than the Thai ladies.
I hope that I am not coming across as a grammar Nazi, it is just that if you make a judgement on longevity at the bar by the standard of English, you may come unstuck in the Phils, whereas in LOS you would be dead right.

I've chatted with (just guessing) probably 50ish different AC bargirls in my three different trips. Only one of them would I truly rate in the "poor" English level category. A few others were "bad". Most of the rest were manageable.
I live in China, so I probably have a different aspect on this. I'm accustomed to speaking to people for whom English is not a native language. Based on my experiences, sometimes the miscommunication is the fault of the English speaker, not the foreign listener. For example, many of my co-workers come here from the southern U. S. And expect their thick drawl with its "gunna" for "going to" and "sumpin" for "something" to be understood. It won't be and rarely is.
My advice to people in general is to slow down and enunciate more clearly and precisely. You should sound more like a news or radio broadcaster than a drunk bar patron, even if you are a drunk bar patron.

Back from the Philippines. Mars 2008 (Angeles and Manilla)
1euro = 48 bahts = 61 pesos, so 1000 pesos = 800 bahts
Had to do a visa run from Thailand, so went to the Philippines. One week in Manilla, two weeks in Angeles City.
Contrary to most people, I like Manilla and its hectic life, especially the markets near the Quiapo church and Divisoria. You feel sometimes like in a Blade Runner or Mad Max movie, but be alert and use your brain and everything should be OK. In Manilla I went to EDSA Complex: a few gogo bars with ugly girls. 500p Barfine +2500p ST or 4000 LT. A total rip-off! So I went to LA Cafe near my hotel. It is a bar full of freelancers, like Thermae in Bangkok or Martini in Phnom Penh. Downstairs old girls try to attract your attention. Upstairs some pretty girls but unsmiling and looking bored to death. After asking a few of them, they said they only go with japanese/korean men. As a girl told me in Bangkok, farang small money big dick, japanese small dick big money. Can't blame the girls. The japaneses seem to get ripped off in every country in the world, and obviously are proud of it. Maybe it is what the notion of "face" is all about, spending much more than you should. But with a bit of work, charm (! ) and luck, I managed to get a few cutties from there. ST 1500p, LT 2000p (would probably accept less but didn't try to bargain). LA Cafe is for me the best place for the girls in Manilla.

You have to pay the girl before leaving the bar (1300p, up to 3000p for the show girls), so even if it should be LT, many will go ST and leave after the first round. And since most won't perform well in bed because you have already paid them, it can be quite a disappointement. But I met some nice ones too, especially one very lovely. I must say that I don't like gogo bars very much, where you have to pay the girl a no so cheap drink (150 p) only to be able to talk to her. I like more the open air beer bars and freelancers bars.

The food isn't really swiss at the clarkton, its just really good quality. I like really big salads, and fish or lean meat, and this hotel excells in this, also they bake their own bread, cakes.
The hotel is german owned, but the last 4/5 times i have been there, there has been over 50% english people staying there, also the mirrors club has got its act together and offers some very nice girls, plus there is a very active and professional pool playing scene there.
Being at the other end of the bar scene on the perimeter road, this area seems to be the up and coming area for new bars, at very reasonable prices, and also it gives me good exercise in walking twice a day to fields every day.

I came back from the province beginning of this week and didn't have a reservation for a hotel. Stopped at least at 8 hotels , all were fully booked. Got the last room in Clarkton. I stayed at Pazific Breeze before Easter and it was fully booked too. But if you go to the pool , just a few guys there (in both hotels) . The bars in Fields are not very busy too , some are even empty.
Every year when I come back to P.I. , there are some more new hotels , at the moment they built at least 3 new ones (including the giantic new building next to Premiere hotel). But the bars don't have more customers.
One of my friends (local expat) has two theories. Either , there are many guys who meet their pen pals or internet escorts in A.C. and don't go to bars (just stay in the room) . Or most of hotel customers are Koreans , as there are international flights to Clark , and those guys go to other places rather than to the Fields bars? Any other ideas?

roadhouse is located in fields, next to angelwitch. if you are looking for a girl, don't go there. not much pretty ones and they are all focused on their dancing, no eye contact. but if you bar hop with your girl friend, this is the perfect place. friendly attmosphere and good rock videos.
mostly between 8 and 9pm they play "thunderstruck". all girls will be on the stage and whirl arround their hair. it's a show. always when i'm there i request the song "tweeter and the monkey man". not just, that this is a great song, the girl have a tagalog text for it, and it's funny, even if you don't speek tagalog. and your girl friend will laugh tears.

In response to the Thailover who posted this: In Manilla I went to EDSA Complex: a few gogo bars with ugly girls. 500p Barfine +2500p ST or 4000 LT. A total rip-off!
Reasonable minds can differ as to attractiveness (I see lots of nice ones at EDSA), but these prices he quotes lack accuracy. The BF is 1000 and LT is 2000 (unless they don't like you; I have never paid more). Doing LT with a 1000P BF makes little sense. For ST, LA Cafe is superior as it is 1000-1500P TOTAL (no BF).

They are overloaded already with an A320 and a Boeing 737 arriving within 15 minutes.
The runway is long enough for huge planes, but all the facilities aren't there.

Pretty is a matter of opinion. I like them.
As far as being safe alone...well I went alone on my first trip, and my second, and my third, and I'm about to on my fourth tomorrow. It's fine. Check out Wayne's map to get the lay of the land in relation to your hotel. Use common sense once you're there. You'll be able to tell which areas are touristy and which aren't. Avoid the ones that aren't and you'll be fine.
And have fun! I know you will. I really want to take someone on their cherry trip sometime. I have a friend here that's dying to go, but he always has a scheduling conflict.

You're right. It won't be for a while, but it will happen. Cebu Pacific is complaining now about not getting landing rights for their overseas flights.
It will probably make the Subic expressway seem like an overnight construction job.

All sorted now for my upcoming trip, was originally going to fly into Clark with Tiger from Singapore but when I tried to book, it wouldn't take my card (I tried 3 all good ones).
So for an extra £45 booked with Singapore airlines to Manilla, Any tips in getting from Manila to AC would be helpful I have read about the Swagman bus in previous post.
I originally wanted to stay at the Oasis but they were very slow in responding to my emails so now booked in the Clarkton.
I will be reading this forum daily until my flight to learn all I can, I will miss my Pattaya trip this year but I should be avoiding all the knuckle draggers in AC.
I will be bringing plenty of vitamin V just in case I happen to find a girlfriend or 2.

How can I get from Manila airport to AC the fastest way? Are there any buses from the airport? Or do I have to go to the bus terminal?

Hi LSW,
I dont have personal experience of that bus. I believe it was formerly good, then went through a long period where it was poor (as in poorly maintained & uncomfortable) and now is allegedly good again. Its good point is its cheap.
Next option is to try to find a cabbie to take you from Manila to Angeles.
This is more expensive than the bus but more comfortable (as long as the cab is ok) and more convenient. make sure you understand that the cabbie will hit you up for fuel along the way & tolls as well. (carry cash).
The most comfortable option is to ask your hotel to provide a 'hotel car'. This will be a modern comfortable minivan/people mover. Its usually a little more expensive than the cabbie option but not by a lot. Usually around P2500 - P2700 each way including tolls & fuel. This is the option I use.
Do a search of this forum for other reports on this

LSW lets do the math.. land 1700, get out of terminal 1800 or 1900 maybe quicker if you travel with cabin luggage only.
Option 1) for the laid back traveller. Taxi to manila hotel arrive 2000 or 2030hrs. Shit, shower, shampoo, shave, shag, sleep.. Take a car to AC on Sunday morning before traffic, arrive fresh at AC hotel fresh after 90min easy drive. Check in, go for an orientation walk. Start checking out everything form 'blow row' thru to the biggest & flashiest bar's.
Option 2) for the hyperactive traveller. Taxi to AC 120mins+ depending on Saturday night traffic arrive 2100hrs. Checkin to hotel & SSSS, be ready to stumble out into an AC saturday night & hit the bars by 2200hrs or so. If you're not quick the best chicks will be already BF'd.

If you really want to be hyperactive monger (Option 2) at the airport just outside on the left is a taxi stand where you can pay for a licensed taxi - dont ask any guys loitering outside to take you to AC as you may not get there or if you do you may be minus a few things

Terminal facilities are VERY basic at Clark and would take many years to build facilities equivalent to NAIA. Would not count on direct flights from US anytime soon.
LSW: Oasis is very nice and by far the best place if you like peace and quiet. While older than most, the facilities are first rate. Good restaurant and pool too. VERY few mongers stay there because it is a 5 minute, 7 piso, jeepney ride to the action area. They are rarely fullybooked and you can almost always get a room without a reservation. Travel agencies like Beeline can book it for you if hotel does not respond but try calling them. The pool is right under the landing path and PAL pilots on training flights in Cessnas come in VERY low over the pool. Less than 50 meters for sure.

AV and WR have given you excellent advice. May I add to it. When I go to AC I use Margarita Station (theville) airport pickup service. The cars are late models, very clean and cost you P2,400. As you are arriving at the peak time, the trip to AC will take about 2.5 hours. It takes one solid hour to get out of Manila on to the NLE (Northern Luzon Expressway) after that you will be flying. Book now, PM me for details, telephone and email.
I assume you will be arriving at Terminal 1 (old terminal)-all international flights except PAL. When you have located your luggage from the baggage claim area you then go thru customs and hand in a form. You will see some money changers, go to Bank D'ORO and change $100. You will proceed outside of Terminal 1-arrival area, cross the street and you head towards the left ramp of the arrival extension area. Ignore anyone who approaches you or tries to "help you." As soon as you get to the end of the left ramp, you look across the street to your left and you will see the driver wearing a black Margarita Station T-Shirt or Vest. He will be holding a sign with your name on it. When you see the driver ask him for a copy of the email confirming your arrival.

Hi Dars & welcome.
Most of what you ask has already been covered in recent posts.
In regards to Hotels in AC, you can have close or you can have cheap, pick one.
Example 1) Doll House Hotel (http://www.dollhousehotel.com/) Literally right beside the biggest bars in Fields Ave. Cost around P3500 - P4500/night.
Example 2) Oasis Hotel (http://www.oasishotel.com.ph/) A tricycle (P100) or jeepney (P7?, thx Horney George) ride from the bars. Cost around p2500-P3500. Another hotel which is near to oasis is Clarkton, also popular.
If you are going to be there a week or less & just want to bed lots of honeys, i would go with Doll Hoouse. If you're staying longer, you may wish to stay in a resort type hotel such as Wild Orchid or Pacific Breeze. Book early, very busy hotels.

This is an old pipe-dream/electioneering gimic.
Since the pull out of US forces from the base there has always been talk of savior projects coming to resurrect the area.
The airfield has a huge airstrip and a small building suitable as a province air terminal only. Its complete fantasy to think it would ever replace NAIA. Just look at the problems they have just keeping NAIA in reasonable condition. To think the government would have the money & the persistence to see through building an international hub in AC is sheer fantasy.
Have a look for yourself when you get here.

You never say how long your trip is going to be and what is important to you, so it's hard to gauge whether you'd be interested in staying in Manila or not. Not sure when your style is in Pattaya, beer bars or agogo bars. Arriving at 1700, you can still catch a Fly the Bus, but it won't leave until 2030, so you'd have to wait for the bus. From Manila, Fly the Bus leaves at 1130, 1530, and 2030 hours and takes you to your hotel. As mentioned previously, if you intend on going to AC at that time, you are probably better off hiring a car to pick you up and take you there.
In regards to your hotel, you seem to pick pretty far out hotels, but at least with Clarkton, you can catch their shuttle van every half hour back and forth to Fields. It's not a long drive, but you won't be walking it.

You can walk it during the day, but probably take Jeepneys or trkes back at night. Most hotels have some type of pickup service or use one of the main travel agent servicers for that. The fastest way is getting picked up and the more costly way at something over $50 for 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive or so. Buses not at airport have to take taxi to terminal or a hotel like Swagman for Fly the Bus there. If you are new, the regular buses might not be an option yet versus a Fly The Bus option.

FWIW, Margarita Station's website has a good chart on Angeles City hotels. Links to the hotels show price, amenities and even a satellite view so you can tell where the hotel is situated in reference to Fields Avenue.

There is a new bus service that leaves the Southern Cross hotel in Manila and takes you to the Brass Knob hotel in Angeles. Leaves 10am from Manila and departs 1pm from Angeles.
I have not had a chance to ride it yet but I have seen the bus and it is a new unit. Price is 550 peso ( around 14 usd)

The regular buses are fine and there are quite a few of us on this board that have used them, even on our first trip. They leave Pasay around every half hour or so and go to Dau for less than 200 pesos. Dau is a short tryke ride to Fields area. The tryke driver will take you through back streets, so don't be concerned.

I have looked at the website of Beeline Travel and Tourism Services. They recommend 25 hotels in AC-Europhil Hotel is not mentioned. As I see it, the travel agent recommends a hotel in good faith and cannot be held responsible for the dishonest actions of some of the hotel's employees. IMHO.

Man PI is a third world country simple as that. Before I bought my house there all the hotels I stayed in either there or Thailand was top of the line. I know some guys are on a tight budget but then you have guys just wanting to save money who slum it in a flea bag then complain when things go astray. That place or hotel is your rest haven, your sanctuary pick a nice secure place to lay your head so you can focus on your vacation and not on if your wallet is going to grow legs.

I'd go straight there, if you're hiring a car. You could be in a bar by 8:30 if you're lucky, 9:30 if you're not. Some say the stunners are gone by then, but there's no guarantee you'd get what you want in Manila, either. And I don't agree with those who say the stunners are all gone by then, anyway. LaPasha was overpacked with beauties at about that time this past Saturday, and Paradise and Gecko's had quite a few as well. I'm sure other bars had plenty also, but I'd found what I was looking for by that point.

Hi firewalker well before I decided to respond, I like Wazza88 decided to look at Beeline again and as Wazza says Europhil was not on their list of hotels.
I have never booked a hotel through Beeline as I said before they were a bit slow responding to my emails. But it is a starting point for Newbies looking for a place to stay, in their price range.

There is a new bus service that leaves the Southern Cross hotel in Manila and takes you to the Brass Knob hotel in Angeles. Leaves 10am from Manila and departs 1pm from Angeles.

So check your booking by phone.

I had similar sentiments on my recent first visit. Being a Thailand veteren myself it was large contrast to what I am use to. That being said the girls were more warm and fun in my opinion then the Thai robots. Most Thai girls I encountered have the personality of a rock.
