I think the Bohemia has closed for renovations and/or relocation.

The Clark Logistics Interchange is only a connection between the two expressways, SCTEx and NLEx but was not completed.
“It is just a loop connecting SCTEx and NLEx, and it doesn’t take you inside Clark because there are no arterial roads entering Clark. It will only serve commuters coming from Manila going to Subic and Tarlac, and back,” explained Cruz."

At the present time, there are no easy exit or entry points for Clark. You must drive through Clark, exit the MABALACAT gate, go to Mc Arthur Highway and turn left as if you are heading to Tarlac on the old road. Then, right after the Kamikaze Memorial (before Bambam Bridge) there is an entrance exit named Clark North. There is another entry/exit named Clark Logistics Interchange. Supposedly, you go out the Dau Road to the NLEx a few kilometers and there is an access point on the new expressway.
From the map SCTEx 2, you can see there will be three interchanges into Clark due for completion sometime in the near future. The reason for the incompletion was a political one as specified in the Manila Times Internet Edition, Feb. 8, 2008. Two overpasses have been completed which connect Tarlac to Subic and NLEx via a " spur......"

best BJ bar on Santos nowadays is WOW, the TINY dive right on the corner across from SHANO's Irish pub (the road where you would turn RIGHT to Pacific Breeze if coming from Wild Orchid). No onsite ST rooms though, so you gotta have your own room. NOT open late.
Regarding food, the choices are MUCH better than a few years ago, but true epicures should NOT go to Angeles to satiate their hunger. Makati/Manila has way better food options at the upper end.
But if yiou want to go cheap on girls but expensive on foiod, you need not starve. C's is among the most haute cuisine but it is WAY overpriced for Angeles. The prices would be high even in Milan or New York, but for Angeles they are absurd (a small pizza is $14).
Azzure Restaurant, upstairs from Lacelot's, offers very good Italian food at reasonable prices. I also like the Maranao Grill at Oasis Hotel quite a lot. l SM Mall has several very acceptable eateries and the food at Wild Orchid is not bad at all.

Ahhh, back in AC.. good times!
Just got in last night. Decided to try out the La Mirage Apartelle (above Carousel Bar, right on Fields). All I can say is, I'm very impressed. It's your standard room, clean, and surprisingly quiet! A lot quieter than the Royal Apartelle (above Camelot), where I stayed last night. Damn chickens in the back kept waking me up at 4 am..if I was asleep, that is. La Mirage is 1300p/night for a standard ("Deluxe") room.. no view, but a window that lets in light and keeps your privacy. I like that. Also, free internet and room service from the Bistro downstairs. If you want cheap, close to the action, and don't need a pool, I highly recommend it.
As for WOW, I made my way there last night. Seems they finally realized that the baklas were bad for business, so there's a sign in the bar that says they're not allowed inside. There's still one or two outside sometimes, but inside the bar they're okay. Although I do recommend you go there reasonably sober just in case.
I also went in a few clubs last night just to get back in the swing of things. Hit the Viper Room (my perennial favorite, I just like the atmosphere and the management there) to play some BAD pool, then tried out Atlantis for the first time. Got attacked by one of the 'cultural' dancers who complained she hadn't had a barfine in 3 weeks. Very nice, petite body, but had terrible teeth and some kind of weird disfigurement scar on her chin. Definitely put me off with the aggressive attitude, though.
I will say, however, that Atlantis' staff was not bad. They did not hassle me for ladies' drinks (they only asked me once in the hour I was there). I like the stage setup, it seemed closer than Dollhouse (although it wasn't really), and the music was decent (at 3 in the morning). I might be persuaded to check it out again.
I will be in AC until the 21st if anyone wants to meet me for a drink/hit some bars. Just shoot me a PM.

Thats a nice thought Almotu but that would be a monumental task. There has to be something like 150+ bars and keeping track of all the new ones not to mention the ones that have changed hands could be tedious. What is needed here are more FR by the membership. Secondly its not really necessary, just start at the end of Perimiter Rd where the bars are small cheap & cheerful, work your way along to the end of Fields Ave where the bars are big expensive & sometimes ignore westerners. Its one long strip of P4P. Some guys have made maps & bar lists in the past (just use the search). Go to the SM mall walk into the book shop & buy a 'EZ Map Angeles' its P100. It shows all the bars clearly in an inset called 'Balibago Entertainment District'. It helps get your bearings quickly. I have an excellent sense of direction but easily get lost in Phils towns without a map coz it all looks the bloody same when Im new in town.
Have you thought of using the search to compile a list for us poor old worn out mongers? hehehe :)

I'm going to try to keep a running tally of every day on here for my trip. I've tried this before, but have never been able to get through the whole trip with reports. Let's see how this time goes!
So yesterday, after my girl o' the night left, walked down to the SM Mall to see if they could open-line my out-of-country phone (couldn't, stupid new models). Bought a book, and then went down and ate at the food court. Yes, I know, risky, but I'm actually quite fond of sisig, and I had a decent sisig/fried chicken/ice tea meal for 100P. Wasn't spectacular, but the price was perfect.
Got back, chilled in the room, then hit the Wild Aces Poker Room (inside the Wild Orchid Hotel, Santos St). No limit poker, 2, 000 P min buy-in, 25/50 P blinds. Last night there was a crazy crowd (some angry, some incredibly drunk, some just in their own little world) and I ended up playing for 6 hours. As a snack, I highly recommend the Shanghai Lumpia that WO can bring to you at the table for a snack.
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, comfortable chairs, great location.
Cons: Still relatively new, so the dealers have some kinks to work out. No language rules, so you've got people talkin' Tagalog, Korean, and Arabic all over the table. Kind of scary when they're both betting against you. And a small problem with GRBs (Guest Relations Bugs).
Overall rating: 7, probably since I hadn't played poker in a while. I'll keep going back until I start losing!
After Wild Aces, went out with another poker guy to Gecko's, Typhoon, Blue Nile/Nero's, and Dollhouse. Thoughts:
Gecko's: Crowded! No seats, and this was at 12:30 am. I like the Gecko's management, so I felt good at my reason for leaving.
Typhoon: Nice crowd, girls were okay. New papasan there, JR, very young (27), looks Korean, but is full-on Filipino and is a great guy. Get into a conversation with him, he'll help you find the good ones in the bar.
Blue Nile/Nero's: First walked into Blue Nile, my buddy ran into the girl he BF'd last night, didn't want her again, so we wandered into Nero's. I found my girl for the night, Rachel, 20, nice black/red/brown dyed hair, great petite body, looked like a hip-hop dancer, but sweet, not dirty. Found out from talking to her that the Korean/Japanese visitors are not so common right now, so everyone was even nice to us 2 white guys! If you want to check out the large selection at the Blue Nile group, apparently now is the time. Although a warning to people coming soon, Japan's Golden Week (when everyone takes a vacation) is last week of April/first week of May. Yesterday, left around 2 and bought a cheap celfone (1100 P) on the street so I could send some texts; the SM mall people didn't have the software to make my usual phone open-line - I swear, with SMART and Globe's international services, this is the perfect country to buy a completely anonymous celfone, if you had someone in the PI to keep you topped up. Anyway, I digress.
Lunch - at Kokomo's. They've changed the menu since I came here last, and the service has just gotten worse. Ordered an Aussie beef pie, took 45 minutes to get to me. Good thing I had a book. The beef was dry and the gravy on the mashed potatoes had brown sugar in it? That was..odd.
Afternoon - Did my taxes online. Fun.
Evening - Played poker for a while, then headed out to some clubs. I got pretty drunk, so this is what I remember:
Atlantis: Went back to see if my opinion was unfounded from the last report. Still no problems with the staff. Not pushy at all. Very pleased. Stayed for a while, had some food from Dollhouse Cafe (not great, but not too expensive either..probably the cheapest thing about the Dollhouse group), and played some pool. One of the waitresses told me that Atlantis alone had over 800 employees. Boggles the mind. There were a pair of what I think are sisters among the dancers, but I left after some drunk guys started throwing 20 pesos in bundles off the 2nd floor.
Camelot: Waitresses never gave me a damn chance to just sit back and watch the show. I hate pushy waitresses, and I left after 1 drink.
Treasure Island: Blech. Admittedly, it was late (around 1 AM), but there was about 6 girls, all sub-standard, and the typical pushy waitresses who wouldn't leave me alone. 2 door girls actually jumped on me and wouldn't leave me alone. Shoved them off and left before my drink was finished.
Champagne's: Probably better earlier in the night, but nothing special.
La Pasha: Walked in and out. Probably didn't give it enough of a try, but I was pretty drunk by this time.
Finally, after about 10 whiskys (if you like whisky, I recommend White Castle, the local PI distilled whisky, it's quite good, and no more than 85P in all the bars), I just grabbed a ST girl from Santos St., had her do her thing, and settled down for a nice sleep.
I think I'll try to go to some bars earlier tonight.

So, yesterday. Started off by waking up and heading for lunch at Molly Malone's. The food is not bad, but the menu needs some correcting. I ordered a taco salad (you know, with the deep fried shell and all the stuff put in it like a bowl), and I get 2 tacos, with the hard white shells and not nearly enough lettuce/tomato for my taste, not to mention no sour cream or guacamole. When I complain about this, they tell me "This is how our chef makes taco salad." Whatever, welcome back to the PI! I ate the tacos, and paid the bill, but I sat and watched the staff put white-out over all the "Salad" markers in the menu. :-)
After that, got a massage at IMEE Massage on Fields. It was pretty decent, as always. The masseuse told me that the other IMEE (the one I usually go to, on Friendship, in one of the little strip mall buildings) is closing down next month due to lease expiry. FYI. Then, feeling relaxed, I walked from the end of Fields to Honey-ko's on Friendship. Refreshing! I went there to see a girl that I had previously known from another bar, and we've kept in touch via email occasionally. As I walked in, she was walking out with her barfine for the night. I forgot how early Friendship started up! Ah well, I'm heading out there again right after I post this report.

He's got more money than me, but because I'm white, I get beggared at. Interesting.

Coyote Ugly: Gone WAYY downhill since the last time I was here (7 months ago). Maybe 8 girls on the stage, low quality, and not a customer to be seen. A shame.
Paradise: Formerly Angels, on Fields, not much has changed except they built a sitting bar around the stage (previously it was just a step up from the rest of the bar. I kind of liked the closeness). Afternoon: Went to the celfone kiosk to get a replacement for my charger, since the plug broke off my first one the first time I tried to use it. They gave me a new one, no questions asked! Here's the lowdown, if you want a cheap cheap celfone to use for texting your girls:
What: Celfone kiosk, cheapest price on Fields (1100P for a Nokia 3315, most places only have the same Nokia for 1200 or a higher model for 1450), with a one-month, no questions asked service warranty.
Where: In front of JJ's Supermarket, on the right side of the entrance (there's another one on the left, but I don't know if it's affiliated).
How: Just ask for the cheapest celfone. If you ever have any problems, BRING YOUR RECEIPT, and they will deal with it, no questions asked. For me, they took me across the street to a repair shop, where they got another charger, tested it, and handed it to me. Took 2 minutes. Saw another guy trying to get his phone fixed, but didn't have his receipt. No dice.
Why: Great way to keep in touch with girls, drinking buddies, and anyone else. Also probably the cheapest open-line phone anywhere. If you travel, you can just buy a prepaid SIM card anywhere and use it while you're in town.
After the phone business, played some poker, then went out. I went to a LOT of bars last night, so I won't account for them all (even if I could). Just the notable ones:
Body Shop: Was having a party for the papasan. Nice girls, don't know about a regular day there, though.

I'd say if you are stopping in a reputable hotel in Manila before coming to AC then just ask the hotel desk to book 'a hotel car'. Alternatively if your going straight from Manila airport you can book a 'car' (usually a modern minivan) to drive you up. Prices should include fuel & tolls from these reputable sources. Around P2500 - P2750 each way all in all. Margarita station in AC has a pick service (http://www.margarita-station.com/forms/airport_pickup_form.html) said to be ok also. The 'budget' travelers (god bless 'em) say that the bus service leaving from ermita is ok also. (Search the forum for 'Fly the Bus').

AV is right. Use Margarita Station, or have your AC hotel arrange a car for you. I've never bothered to stay in Manila, so I can't vouch for which hotels there have service available.
Almotu - Since I'm always coming in from Tokyo (and hence, arriving around 11, getting through immigration by 11:30-45), I use the private car service from Margarita Station that he posted the link to. It's very professional. All the hotels in AC offer the service, but Margarita's is a little cheaper (2400P), and very secure. I have used it over 5 times I think, and they are always on time, show you your receipt, and bring drinks for you too (you can choose your preference on the form). They will also stop somewhere if you want to pick up snacks, smokes, etc. The management is also pretty serious about reputation, so they give you a feedback form to fill out, which will get you a free local drink if you give it to the Margarita staff. Recommended above other hotel services, such as Central Park's (the driver showed up with his wife in the car, which was..awkward..she slept the whole time in the front seat).
Anyway, my report for Day 6.
First, took a trike down to Friendship Gate. My Japanese friend recommended a restaurant down there called Hana-mi. After a week of dismal food, this was the BEST meal I've had in a long time, outside AC included. If you like Japanese food, you must try this place. It's a bit expensive, but worth it. I had the Hana-mi Set (590P), with sashimi, sushi, tempura, miso soup, eel, and tofu for dessert. Amazing.
Walked down from Hana-mi towards fields, and hit Stargate AC-1. Impressive motif with the sci-fi stuff in there; I like the gimmick. Very nice selection of girls, and they even had a great system where the cherry girls wear a white sash around their waist. Ingenious! I guess if the girls still wanted to say "No thank you," they can claim the ol' rag.
But I was on a mission, and I continued my walk down to Honey-ko's (quite a long way). Tried to find my girl from a previous trip and found her. I know most veterans probably know this, but I was very surprised that the barfine at Honey-ko's is still 1000P, probably the cheapest in AC. My girl was also telling me about the commissions at the bar, which turn out to be a bit higher than the other bars in the area, and also that the girls are allowed to simply say "No!" to a customer. Interesting!
By this time, it was about 8, so I went to play some poker then took my girl to Blue Nile for a show; there was a group called "Bad Influence," which apparently was girls from Japan, HK, Korea, and Brunei, cultural dancers, with a barfine of 5,000 pesos. I say apparently because we never friggin' saw them. We were sitting upstairs on a couch, and when the dancing started, all the Blue Nile girls stood *right in front of us* and would not move, even after I, my girl, and 2 waitresses asked/told them. Too crowded to get a mama upstairs, so we just left.
After some videoke, went home and had some fun. Now I need to figure out what to do today!

I think it was over a year ago that I used "Fly the Bus" at about 500 pesos, but at the time it was more like "stall in traffic" bus. They may have upgraded by now. There have been posts about a new bus service going from the Brass Knob. If you decide to go the bus route let me know and I'll try to dig up the details...or just rtff.

Wow, that's one of those questions that has an endless answer depending on your intentions / likes / etc. I'll keep it simple.
I would say AC is better since there are so many bars and prices are low.
Cebu is nice because there are so many other things to do...and you can meet regular woman...and still do p4p if you need to. There are a limited number of bars and if you visit regularly like I do, you start to see the same women -- which has its pros and cons.

As I mentioned in an earlier report, I had found a cluster of four nudie bars during my first trip to Angeles City during the mid-80s. These were my favorite hunting grounds because I like watching girls dancing naked while I drink cold beer. You also know exactly what you are getting, furry or bald, firm or saggy, shy or bold.

I'm currently in Angeles right now for my first time and about to go out soon, so soon I can have my own personal experience of Angeles. When I drove through Angeles today it really did seem like there is nothing else to do besides bars/girls and maybe a mall.
I know Cambodia was at least half the price for girls and hotels. Cambodia really is a lot less developed than the PI , and many girls don't speak any english, but a lot of fun can be had for less than half the price of Angeles.

For the first time visitor my opinion of he easiest thing to do is to arrange a driver to pick you up at he airport. I personally use margarita if I arrange for a car. It should be about 2200p to 2500p range. Its easier to arrange the bus trip back to Manila from AC. There is a free shuttle to the airport from Swagman hotel in Manila (where the bus stops). Trying to get from the airport to swagman hotel sucks if re driver doesn't know where it is, and many don't.

Gagoo: how long since you were in Cambodia? A good friend is there this week and he has been going for more than a decade. He says pricing is worse than ever with ST AT LEAST $15-20 (was $5 as recently as 2 to 3 years ago). In some places, including Martini's, they wanted $40 for ST!
In Angeles ST should be between 600 and 700Pesos, less than $20 and nowhere near "double" the cost in Cambodia. I agree it is not the cheapest place in the World, but neither is Cambodia any more.
PP is much more developed and "safe" nowadays, but a LOT less fun. MANY guys who live in Thailand who used to go to Cambodia for a change of pace now go to Angeles instead.
Thanks for the update. If the taxi doesn't know Swagman Hotel, a newbie might say "Ermita church". That would get you pretty close -- or better yet download directions from their web site.I can't find any alternative bus service in my files, so maybe I was thinking of the Margarita service which was mentioned earlier.

Hi Tulip, I didn't see anyone respond so I just throw in a few words. AC & Cebu are both great places to monger but for very different reasons. Both have an international airport.
AC is one big collection of bars. if you are on limited time or keen to get your rocks off quickly this is the place. It is cheap & the number of P4P girls is big. Many (most?) girls in AC bareback. I mention it only so you can make an informed choice. There are SW's there and it is possible to find FL's/amatuers also. AC has little else to offer. There is a beach resort area not far away by expressway at Subic. There are P4P bars there also.
Cebu has less P4P bars, some quite expensive that cater to east asian clients, other P4P bars there are cheaper. There are plenty of opportunities to meet FL's & amateurs, freebies. There is a beach resort area nearby which is expensive with very average beaches. There is also nice islands nearby with fantastic beaches.
Accessibility is an issue for many sex tourists on limited time frames, AC, Manila, Cebu & Davao are directly accessible internationally.
The further you go away from these areas the girls are less sophisticated & more likely to give freebies/be GF's, however family entanglements can make life difficult/dangerous.
Here's a checkllist the sex tourist should consider before making a choice :
- How much money can I afford to spend
- How long can I stay
- Is my stay for sex only, sex + vacation or vacation with a little sex
- Do I prefer ST, LT or GF
General comments for new visitors. PI P4P girls are less 'commercial' than other areas os South East Asia. They will behave more like GF's than pro's. Prices are relatively cheap. They speak more english than elsewhere in SEA. Freebies take no responsibility for contraception, use it or be prepared to pay for the abortion/child care costs. The place is full of young girls with fatherless eurasian babies already. Please don't add to the problem. The people are warm & very friendly to foreigners. Use common sense, crime risk is proportional to your behavior. The country is struggling to emerge from third world status, don't get hung up on small frustrations.

Ah, the one week milestone. Only 2 and a half more days left.
Today, walked down to Metrobank on McArthur Boulevard to get some money. It's the closest ATM for my card. Just as a note, the closest ATMs (AFAIK) from Fields are as follows, if you have these cards:
Mastercard/Maestro/Cirrus: Banco de Oro (BDO), right at the entrance to SM Mall.
Visa/Plus: Metrobank, across from Pagcor Casino (go to the end of Fields, turn right, and walk for about 5-10 min. til you get to the casino. Metrobank is across the highway. The building is set off from the road and looks kind of shady, but they have guards (with shotguns!) and I've never had a problem with the ATM for the 3 or 4 trips that I've used it. 10,000P withdrawal limit. If you can't find it, look for the BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands) building, then look 2 or 3 buildings to the left.
JCB/Bank of China/Korean banks: Couldn't tell ya. Should probably inquire at your hotel.
After the money run, crossed the street again to the Pagcor Casino and the 5th Street Poker Room. If you're into that sort of thing, they have a 550P buy-in tournament everyday (registration begins 2 PM) with a 10,000P guarantee for the winner, and other prizes up to 4th place. Not bad, but loud, lots of Tagalog spoken (even though they say tables are English only), and the cards look a bit worn out. Still, good for some excitement. After the tourney, headed back to Wild Aces (at the Wild Orchid) and played until about 7 o'clock, then met up with my buddy and started the bar hopping. My notes:
Body Shop: Went back for a regular day. Very nice girls, relaxed atmosphere. I recommend stopping by for a quick drink.
Las Vegas: Part of the Korean-owned Agasya group, I always have to say that I like the style of those bars, even if they are sometimes less than welcoming to non-Koreans. More music than the 27 standard AC Hits collection, and a very pretty group of girls, combined with non-pushy waitresses makes me a happy monger. Saw a few girls to my liking, but they were taken, so we moved on.
The Honey Pot: Part of the Viper Room/Coyote Ugly group. Facilities look almost identical to the Viper Room, complete with comfy chairs, curtains, and pool table. Girl selection was quite limited, but nice atmosphere. Played (and lost) a couple of days of pool, and moved on.
Roadhouse: Walked in, seemed crowded and most girls taken, so moved on.
Edelweiss: Walked down to Perimeter to this nice little bar connected to a German restaurant. AFAIK, the only bar with real German weissbier (although they bring it to you in a can, you pour yourself into the glass). As a Perimeter bar, it closed at 1. We both found girls that we liked, but I decided not to because I was in the mood for a different body type, and my friends' choice was talking with the owner, and (according to the waitress) she was going back to the province the next day, so we left.
Dollhouse: Wednesday night I had seen a few girls that I liked, but I was quite drunk and didn't call them over before the shift change at 3 am (see previous report). Got there at 1 this night and called one of them over. Marilyn, 23, from Bicol. Very slender, great wide smile. We had a good time talking and watching my friend get rejected by one girl after another.
My poor friend. He told me earlier that it happens to him about 20% of the time. He's not ugly by any means, and he's only 30, so it shocked me to see so many rejections. We think it's because he's Japanese, but as he said, "I'm too handsome..they just get too shy!" Anyway, the excuses for tonight:
Girl #1: Waitress said no cherry, she came over and said cherry girl.
Girl #2: Seemed interested, but then she came over, talked to him for about 20 minutes, had a drink, and then said no to the barfine invitation. "Didn't like."
Girl #3: She said "Too shy," but ended up introducing him to her friend (or twin, they looked almost exactly the same to me), who finally managed to click with my friend, and off they went.
It's a good thing that we have different tastes in women!
Now, I'm just waiting for my laundry that reception *promised* me yesterday would be back by 3:00 pm today when I dropped it off. I guess I didn't hear "3 pm.. Philippine time."

I was in Cambodia about 3 months ago. ST was $15 and LT was $30 if you got them out of one of the clubs. You can take as many of them as you wish to. So I took 2 upstairs for ST and they didn't rush me at all.
If you meet freelancers in a bar you can get $20 LT. My friend didn't negociate and when she left that afternoon gave her $20 and she was OK with it. A few days later I took home her sister, which was quite a coinidence. I negociated first for $25 LT. This girl was super hot though.
I guess there are still the place for $5 or $6, but you walk in, have a fuck, but there are stories of them trying to steal money out of your pants. I didn't want to go to somewhere like that. So I guess you can still get the $5 or $6 girls, but I won't give it a try. I only had one night in Angeles so far and didn't learn how to get a girl for 600 or 700 Pesos yet. I'll post a report on that later.
Yeah, not much else to do in Phnom Pehn. Me and my friend went to Siem Reap to see the Angkor Wat (maybe to justify a trip to Cambodia from Bangkok). Girls wanted more money in Siem Reap. I met a really hot looking one and told momasan I wanted to keep her for 2 days. We agreed to $70 and momasan wouldn't go any lower. So I had this girl stay with me for 2 days, had some fun, took her along pretty much everywhere, problem is she only knew a dozen English words. She did know some Thai, so it was interersting for me to use my very little Thai and her little Thai to talk to each other, it reminded me of seeing Japanese guys trying to talk to Thais' in English.

- Blue Nile (not as good as in its heyday, but still big with lots of girls)
- Champagne (small, but good selection, good mamasans)
- Typhoon (probably my favorite, smaller but great selection, friendly wait staff)
- Las Vegas (big, friendly all around)
- Gecko's (small, but always a good time)
- Dollhouse (huge selection, second floor pool tables)
- Carousel (revolving floor makes it easier to choose, good selection)
- Atlantis (I was kind of disappointed at the selection, but it's new and big and shiny, definitely worth checking out)
Pretty much anybody would name all of these as the obvious places to go. I tend to stick with the tried and true (and any big bar has enough girls rotating in and out for a lifetime anyway!). Anyone like to suggest any others that are not as obvious, and mention their highlights?

Yeah, I've gotten to the point where "huge" isn't a plus. To each his own, of course. Carousel or LaPasha are about upper limit on how big of a bar I like. Some smaller bars I liked last time:
- the Mo's group of Paradise, King of Diamonds, and Voodoo. Never had a bad time with any girl from those places. Last trip I went to Voodoo for the first time in 6 months, and the Mama still remembered me and which girls I barhopped with.
- Angelwitch. Possibly a personal choice on my part but I get treated well here. Different shooter special every day, 6 for 500 pesos if you're so inclined.
- Bar Hoppin. Nice layout, nice girls, nice shooters list, and usually not busy. Good ratio in your favor.
- Gecko's. Agreed. Small though, so it doesn't actually have to BE busy to LOOK busy. Lots of nice looking girls here.
- Stampede. Just on the far side of ABC. Most underrated bar in town from what I've seen.
- Bunny Ranch. One of the least conspicuous storefronts in town, but I went in to see more than a few pretty girls, and only a few customers. The downside here is that half of the bench seating opposite the girls stretches all the way down the bar, so getting a good seat can be a problem if they're busy.
Also, the way-out Perimeter bars are nicer than I expected. Lost in Asia, Roadie's, and Mirrors were all pleasant surprises.

so far i had twice a std. the first was 2002 from a visit in cambodia and relatively easy to get rid off by taking a cocktail of doxycycline and ciprofloxacine. 5-6 days and it was fine.
i used condoms all the time after it. lets say till 2005, then i relaxed it a bit,
but nothing happened and i got careless.
coming back from ac last time (march 2008), my willy started dropping again. i have to admit, some rounds have been bb.
i took some pills as above and nothing worked, it even got really worse. peeing razor blades, you know what i mean?
had to go to the doctor but too late. it was a nice combination of gonorrhea and chlamydia and after that time it threatened already to spread into the blood and into the eyes.
finally, i needed 3 shots of cephtriaxone im in my thigh, each 1g (!) to get it removed. every 24 hrs and thats quite a lot.
supported by some new antibiotics i've never heard of.
3rd generation i was told.
it was not only the dropping out of the penis, the whole "thing" was in pain.
being touched was painful and every morning erection wasn't fun either.
you won't consider any boomboom with such an inflammated tool.
simply too painful.
just for consideration for the guys going raw.
these strains of gonorrhea aren't that easy to treat and the usual 1st generation antibiotics back from the 80ies or 90ies don't work anymore.
im shots or even iv is necessary nowadays to get rid of it quickly.
and these strains are available in ac.
since i travel to ac each time for a few days only, when i get symptoms, i'm back home and can treat it.
but if anyone is there for 2 weeks or more, it can spoil your complete annual holiday.
anyway, up to you, but i've learned my lesson.

BTW, most people infected with Gonorrhea are infected with Chlamydia also.
Current treatment of choice for Chlamydia is Azithromycin 1 or 2 Gram or in a single oral dose. Followed by 10 day course of Doxyclycline 100mg twice daily.
For Gonorrhea, If you're lucky you could get away with oral doses of cefixime 400 mg, ciprofloxacin 500 mg, ofloxacin 400 mg, cefpodoxime 400 mg, or levofloxacin 250 mg daily but it is unlikely to work in asian countries where antibiotic resistance ia already prevalent.
Current treatment of choice for Gonorrhea is Injections or Intravenous Cetriaxone/Cefotaxime/Ceftizoxime or Spectinomycin 2 grams intramuscularly every 12 hours.
Spare a thought for the girls left behind there suffering from these infections...

June/July is the slow season for punters, but there willbe plenty of girls, so that makes it an excellent time to go!
June is the start of the rainy season so you will have the odd day when it will rain constantly but apart from that the weather is fine. The weather will only impact upon your trip if you decide to go to a beach venue like Borocay/Bohol, if your sticking to AC then it won't matter.

Of this year for a few days while I was touring Asia. so far i had twice a std. the first was 2002 from a visit in cambodia and relatively easy to get rid off by taking a cocktail of doxycycline and ciprofloxacine. 5-6 days and it was fine.

simply too painful.
just for consideration for the guys going raw.
these strains of gonorrhea aren't that easy to treat and the usual 1st generation antibiotics back from the 80ies or 90ies don't work anymore.
im shots or even iv is necessary nowadays to get rid of it quickly.
and these strains are available in ac.
since i travel to ac each time for a few days only, when i get symptoms, i'm back home and can treat it.
but if anyone is there for 2 weeks or more, it can spoil your complete annual holiday.

Seems there are ambitious new plans to develop DMIA, which if they come to fruition (see last statement above) would mean big changes, and much needed regeneration, to the Clark/Angeles area. What effect this would have on the bar scene is anyone guess.

No I have never mongered in Africa. Might go sometime though. I am Canadian and that was my first trip outside North America or the Carribean and my first real monger trip.I will probably return to Asia every year from now on out. Did the price go up so much? 500p tip? I paid 600p - 700p for ST less than 3 years ago, 800p for 2 girl blow job on Fields just off Santos. And that's when it was 50+ pesos per $1US.

Tipping I don't agree with it (had one low life throw the tray down on the floor when I left no tip) The more people give tips the more they expect it whether the service was good or bad, but if I talk to a girl and the waitress does not bug me I will leave a tip.

Most clubs put up the volume high so if you want to speak with a girl you need to buy a ladies drink. Thats with most bars North of Magarita station (the main drag at Bilbao - so Fields avenue). I have no experience with those bars. To big step for me.
South of Magarita station (from Chowking so arround the good/affordable/safe American Hotel) I have expriences.
There the volume is less and you can sit close to the "dancing" ladies and ask things like if they want to go with you long time just when they are dancing.
A good place is Emotions and the bar just from the left of it (same owner I think). Als 1km further south in the Mayon Street you can have some fun at Club Nifty (I can advise you Lisa - not pretty but she will do all with you to pleasure you - also get another girl which feel herselfe to good to go with you alone; phone 0982787911). I can garantee you - many girls are lazy but she will keep on going until you are satisfied!!!
Asside Club Nifty there is club Rio. It was difficult to get a girl for long time there and when I had one she told me she had to email with her friend arround midnight but she never came back. But all to money is already in the pocket of mamasan. Next day the girl was not at Rio so I could not point to here.
Same thing I had with a girl "Vivian" from Dr Holmes, asside the (noisy) Club Gentelmans. With Vivian I had sex and then we went out and arround midnight we aarived at her former bar "Edelweis". A verry dirty and sleezy bar with chairs with holes in the seats so you can see the foam. Vivian dindn't liked that I didn't liked to spen whole night in Edelweis with her friends and she left me. Next morning I want back to Dr Holmes and I spoke with the (I believe Norwegian) barowner. If they have your money and if you had one time sex with the girl your money is gone.
Well, I think most girls just hate to dance whole night and go with you out LT to have fun with you. If you are lucky they even sleep the night with you (you offer a better bed). But if you get older like me you can have sex at evening and then again the next morning. I can tell you - the most wont give you sex at the morning. I spend many times a lot of money whole night, let them sleep in my bed, and next morning NADA, no like sex.
So IF you like LONG TIME in Bilbao, NEVER pay alle the money in advance.

In most places the barfine is the same when you take a girl out!
About 1200P average(little higher to the north, little lower to the perimeter streets in the south - south of magarita Station/Chow King)

You pass the entrance of Swiss hotel, pass Swiss hotel and go further to the east to the end of that street, there you go right(only way possible) and at the end of that street you see to the right a lot of ST bars (also called BJ bars).
So one pop lover - save money and go to the one pop bars!
They are waiting for you with open mouths (shouting welcome) untill you fill them with 600P and a creamy desert.

I have just left AC the price in the lower end of fields ave is 1350 peso there is no distinction between lt or st, you would be advised to sort out how long they stay before paying, but that is no guarantee as two times last trip I was told " I will stay all night " left around two hours after walking in the door.
Some tell you what you want to hear, which is in fact a lie but you can't do anything about it.
Tipping I don't agree with it (had one low life throw the tray down on the floor when I left no tip) The more people give tips the more they expect it whether the service was good or bad, but if I talk to a girl and the waitress does not bug me I will leave a tip.
Leaving after 2 hours when agreed on all night is being a runner. That's what I hate about paying upfront. They throw trays down not because there are outraged but because it worked for them before with weak guys.

Thanks for the report. I would just like to comment on this bit: Please be very careful with freelancers in AC!! There have been several police setups in AC with freelancers.
If you are not 100% sure of what you're doing and know AC well better pick your girl from the bars.

with all due respect, but I would rather discourage everybody to take a freelancer! I always chose bargirls and pay the barfine - of course well in advance (there is no other option, isn't it!?)! However, I agree that some cuties like to disappear after 2 hours or so, but most of them will stick to their promise if LT was agreed beforehand.

the reasons for my change of mind were numerous, i tried to book a flight into clark direct from singapore with tiger they would not take a credit card online so ended up with a flight with singapore airlines to manilla.
i wanted to stay at the pacific breeze but it was full so i booked into the clarkton.
after reading some reports on the internet about police scams with **** girls (the clarkton was the hotel in question in one report) and many people saying not much to do during the day apart from doing what you do at night.
not looking forward to the drive from manila.
i changed my ticket with singapore airlines to bangkok sorry guys.

Was on a recent business trip to San Diego and stayed in what I would call a modest hotel:
Breakfast: $22.75
One beer in their lounge (looking at middle age fat women)$8.00.

I'm booking early around 8PM or so, because I'm horny. As during the afternoon pretty much everything is closed on fields, so hard to pick up a good girl. DollHouse afternoon lineup is rather pathetic.

maybe you should try to pay the tiger with online banking the airasia allow me to pay by the online bank too. balai & batam is a good cheap place, but you should give ac a try. angeles city is more safe than indonesia in my opinion it is just 2 hour by bus from manila.

You still can choose your hotel. I'm now in AC and almost every hotel has a sign "vacancy" outside.
The hotels can't be fully booked, not many customers here.
Reservations only in December/January necessary IMHO.

Last weekend I've been to Jakarta, got a 9/10-BBBJ for 70k IDR.
The girls look was easily on par with Santos' girls, no time limit, and the room provided with shower and fresh towel was way cleaner than those in Santos.

It's always worth it to share stories.You shouldn't have any problems finding a hotel. The rainy season starts in may so its not quite as busy. Don't let the different areas of AC confuse you. They are all in the same basic small area. Perimeter road and fields are really the same road it just changes names. Santos st. Intersects fields so its a side street. Things get more spread out as you travel further up perimeter road from field which translate into a long walk or trike ride instead of a short walk.

just wanted to comment on reports and what they are worth and decisions to change plans like that. some of the things reported here are blown way out of proportion and i'm afraid, it's caused someone who was intending to go to ac to change his mind. not being able to book a flight into clark to me is no reason to change your itinerary. the whole manila to ac travel time and stuff to me is way overdone. really, is an extra 1.5 to 2 hours each way going to make that much of a difference? shoot there is lots of time to kill in ac so what's the big deal? the ride isn't that bad.
pacific breeze is a very nice hotel. the staff there and central park have historically been very good. it's probably the most recommended hotel for angeles for mongers. i try to stay at one or the other because i have a past with them, but that doesn't mean there aren't other good to very good hotels there. there are actually plenty for a variety of price ranges. it's nice when the staff greets you by name, but it doesn't make my trip. all i need is clean and quiet for me, and there are plenty around for that. if i can't get a room there i just get another hotel.
police scams? heard about them but just through message boards and some of the stuff sounds like rumors gone wild. i'm not saying there aren't scams going on, but for one, if you are a common sense type of person, the chances are pretty low of you getting involved in something shady like that. if you aren't then mongering is dangerous anywhere as you are prime to get screwed eventually.
yes ac could get boring for some during the day but it's not that bad. it's chill. you can barhop, you can just relax and recover from the night before, you can hang out with your woman from night before go eat or watch a movie. there are bars to go that are only good really during daytime and early early evening. the other big bars start opening around 6 or 7 so that's pretty early compared to venues in jakarta. i find the daytime can be really boring in jakarta. trying to get back and forth to one side of jakarta can take an hour or more almost as long as it takes to get to ac from manila, but of course cheaper.
it's all perspective. i've traveled to a lot of different places in se asia, and to me all the reasons mentioned for changing the itinerary were way too small of a deal to do so. maybe there are some other mitigating factors, but if not, i wouldn't have changed for those reasons. some people like to make little things into big things. ac is worth crossing off a checklist for a monger. it's not my favorite destination, but it is something i don't mind doing now and then.

I always fly Tiger airways only problem I had was I was late arriving in Singapore one time and missed my connecting flight to Clark. I just spoke to the girl at the service counter at the Budget terminal in Singapore and paid cash for a new ticket to Clark the next day. You can always try Cebu Pacific from Singapore to Cebu then fly from Cebu to Clark if you have to.
I think they are usually fully booked, which may explain their laziness about answering emails. No excuse, but that's the way things are in Phil.

I have had some problems with Tiger Airways and credit card payment myself. I tried to use a M/C from one bank and it spat. Tried a couple of times - same result. I tried another M/C from another bank and ok. Not sure what the problem is, but it is definitely possible that Tiger is having merchant vs bank problems from time to time.
Pity, because I like them. They fly right into Clark - what's not to like. :)

I decided to take swagman bus to angeles city, had a breakfast in Swagmann hotel, Beef tapa (terrible meat)made me a little pxxd cause I was in holiday mood, long weekend
Some noisy couple went in,guy with his 2 horrible noisy kids and his wife (look to me she work in the P4P busness before...I decided to get my headset out and put it on high volume to my favoured Old skul of rock CD.
After the bad breakfast I decide to order sM LIGHT to get started for AC.
Anouncement came to "board the fly the bus" which I did. Its May now and its really really hot. When "on board" I ask for SM light..."Sorry sir, out of stock" WTF....how can a resto get out of stock with SM light or any oher cold drinks...stupid excuse....I put my headset on again, and higher the volume..
I looked out of the window and the Driver still in Manila. what took him so long? I guess it was May 1st, so some rallys where going on and blocking some mayor roads..or...he just stupid :D..who knows...
We made the usual stop at a gas station with 7/11. At this time the sorry-sir.fly-the-bus-***** could get some cold drinks...nada...of we went again..
3 Km before san fernando a loud BANG occured...Bus stops , we had flat tire..Great!!! I get off the bus and me and some other guys standing in the shades having bets on how long it will take that we got picked up from their other bus....traffic police arrived..after the discussion with the drivers they told that if they dont remove theis bus within 30 minutes somebody esle will do it...Swagmann was called and they assure they will be here on time.
45 minutes later we heard another loud BANG..another truck lost his tire..instead of parking his truck on the right lane, he parked just on the left..causing allmost-accidents. from overtakin cars , cause normally the left line should be free for overtaking.right?? no, not right, we in the Philippines.. I watched the traffic control, they were still in their car, doing nothing..havent they seen the accident?? havent they heard the load BANG??? I went to them and told them they was anothr accident. "Yes sir, many acciddents here" I told them that there was another accident right now..They looked at me like I was from planet mars.. I took the guys hand and showed them where the truck parked..ON the f...ing left lane!!!They react very quick, took them just 5 minutes to decide to do something.
Now what they did wasnt to kick the drivers ass and just pull down the Truck to the right lane so it wont cause any trouble, no they closed the left lane so that the low life truck driver could repair his flat tire...
That was to much for me...I need a cold beer, I guess it was 40 degrees...I think I haluzinate I saw a young gurl walkin with an umbrella coming from nowhere, aproaching the highway..she passed by with a smile and then kept on walkin along the high way to san fernando...not a halluzination....its the PHILIPPINES!!

Don't want to drag this out more than needed but I tried with a Master card and a Visa card, I have used both cards all over the world no problems.
The end result was the same with both cards, I went all the way through the booking process and hit the confirm key at the end I was then given an error message but it didn't say it was refused! after trying the second time with the same outcome I was then worried maybe I had booked 2 flights so I rang my card issuer to check no money had been taken as Tiger say they have a strict no refund policy even if you double book a flight It cost me 75SGD to change my flight from Manila to Bangkok with Singapore airlines.
By the way I have flown with Air Asia, Jetstar Asia and Value air and always use my credit card online as I live in England.

Stayed in a Swiss Chalet suite about a year and a half ago - $52 and it was a great room with canopy bed. Only problem was the steps. Also, the steps in the room, i.e., the bathroom is another flight up inside the suite.
Wow, the Swiss Chalet is better than i think.
Don't think they have the Swimming Pool.
I try to reserve with them b4, but the email reply is quite slow.

If you come to AC for the 1st time, stay at Pacific Breeze $48 or Central Park $32 is recommend, under the same group.
For booking of popular hotel like Pacific Breeze, you better do it now.
I need to book 10+ rooms everytimes, that's why I need to book at least 3 months advance.I just decided to return to PI (Oct 08) vs Rio and booked myself into one of the Executive Jacuzzi Suites. For $75 it looks pretty nice and reserving online was SIMPLE! Last time I was in AC, I stayed at ABC. A very nice hotel, for the price, but the room interior was a bit much for my liking. Not to mention, I think being a little closer to the action will be good.
I like the honor system with follow-up confirmation a few days before your arrival, but the lack of a confirmation number and guaranteed reservation always a bit worrisome. Same process as ABC used, and that worked out just fine. Hope Pacific Breeze doesn't loose my reservation being that I made it so far in advance of my trip.

I had the same problem with Tiger Airways. You need to make sure your card is signed up for the "verified by visa/mastercard" service. Visa.com has more info about that.

They will flirt with you. All are 'available' usually. If you llike one & she appears to be receptive (most are), just hand them a card with your cp number (and name?) and ask them meet you after work. That's it.

Your question has been asked/answered/debated many MANY times on this thread. Please search for Pattaya and you will see many informative opinions.
Quick summary : Bangkok is a big crowded brash city roughly comparable to Manila.
Pattaya is a beach resort, AC is a town next to an ex millitary base.
Thai hookers are all business but will do anything you want (PSE). Phils hookers are shyer & act like GF (GFE) YMMV.
Prices in both cities are roughly comparable.
AC hookers usually bareback, this is not an opinion about this just the fact.

No body can tell you which is better because each tourist has his own likes & dislikes.

AVI've lived here three years and except for Philippine airlines, I have never had any luck using a credit card online to by airline tickets. I usually end up doing it over the phone or sending someone to the local sales office. But I make it an absolute rule to only pay credit card. I have been burned twice by paying cash, so NEVER AGAIN. The first was a travel agency on Roxas blvd. THey sold me a ticket for which the return date was sold out. Even the airline didn't know how they did it. They trip had to be extented by two weeks just to get a ticket home. Fortunately, I had bought the ticked for someone else, but she was quite pissed off to say the least. The other time I bought the ticket directly fom the Asian Spirit sales office. Would you believe, the exact same thing happened! I was able to get on a flight the next day, but only after paying A REBOOKING FEE. What kind of fucking airline overbooks a flight and then makes you pay an extra fee just to get on the next flight. I would have charged back both of those tickets if I had used a credit card. I've learned my lesson. If I can't use my credit card, I won't buy the ticket.

I believe they are talking about the waitresses in the hotels, as for the waitresses in the bars you will find many of them are ex-dancers, one thing I like about waitresses in the bars is when they decide to get up and dance, they really do dance not just move there hips from side to side. They dance because they want to not because they have to.

With the new big glitzy clubs opened up (Atlantis, Tropix) the spotlight girls are EXPENSIVE in comparision.
As far as LT prices for ST..well, its more like the girl agrees to LT in the bar, then 1am comes around and her cousin is sick...she has to go to Manila...her baby is sick...whatever, and she bails. This is becoming a little more common. This is one reason I dont like pay first, but..that is AC.

My one experience is just opposite. On a trip to AC I met the cutest little Pinay who was serving beer in a nudie bar. Tried then to BF her but she claimed "cherry girl". AC does have stuff to do, although for alot of it you have to travel an hour or so, but its not meant to be a anything but adult Disneyland. If you want stuff to do monger in Manila or Cebu. Oh and as far as beaches go? The beaches of Cagayan de Oro or Boracay beat Thailand hands down :D

AC does have stuff to do, although for alot of it you have to travel an hour or so, but its not meant to be a anything but adult Disneyland. If you want stuff to do monger in Manila or Cebu. Oh and as far as beaches go? The beaches of Cagayan de Oro or Boracay beat Thailand hands down :D

I've never been to Pattaya, but I do disagree with some of the opinions about AC.
1) To say there's nothing to do during the day isn't quite accurate. It's more accurate to say there's nothing ELSE to do during the day, heh. But quite a few bars open early (noon, and one at 10 am even). Not to mention the 24 hour ones. I rarely find myself bored during the day.
2) Some hotels and pools are better than others. ABC, Orchid Inn, Pacific Breeze, and Wild Orchid all have nice pools. The Wild Orchid is possibly the best pool of the four but I think their rooms are overpriced.
3) The food is almost certainly better in Pattaya, I'm guessing. AC food is lacking, to say the least.
For 2 or 3 days, you can surely stay busy and have fun in AC. If you have something more like a month, I can see where it would get old. My longest trip has been 10 days so it hasn't been a problem for me.
Also, if you only have a few days in AC, you're going to want to interview the girls thoroughly before you take them out. One bad performer could ruin half your trip. Because of this, I'd stay away from the mega bars on a short trip.

I'm not going to bother comparing as they are real different. If you are going to to be in Thailand and you are only willing to sacrifice 2 or 3 days to see Angeles or some other part in the PI, I recommend you pass unless the airfare is no big deal for you. You used to be able to get pretty cheap fares going back and forth, but I think those days are over for now with oil at it's price now. It's kind of a hassle to go through all the traveling for only a couple of days.

My current situation (Iraq) and my employer (Tito Sam) aren't big fans of exact dates when it comes to R&R. All I know is I will be taking a "break" for 18 days sometime late June/early July. I'm pretty sure they'll fly me to the PI but just in case I'm planning on flying out of San Francisco if they fail. I need to arrange transport to AC from Manila and I think I've got that covered via a private car and driver. My biggest concern is hotel. I can't make reservations because I don't have exact dates. Is it hard to get a room for a couple of weeks this time of year. I've been looking at Wild Orchid, Orchid Inn, Pacific Breeze, etc. All the usuals. What do you guys think is my best bet? Are there other options. I'll have more questions in the coming weeks. I want to land on the ground ready to rock and roll. Any of you all going to be in AC around the same time? Any other advice or info you guys may have would be greatly appreciated!

I did look at the jpegs, just overlooked what the location picture really showed. Not as convenient upon arrival into MNL, but an excellent option as I usually spend 2 nights in Manila before my return to the states. Thanks.................

I agree with AC, it becomes more and more a party place and while Im a chosy guy I have my regular and seldem barfine new gurls, except if they really like me and if I like them, which aint allways be the case.
So, if I go barhop with my regular I chose those bars who have some shows and entertainment.
Yes some guys, mostly koreans think its a great deal to pay 3k plus tip and burn money or throw ping pong balls...Its fine with me.. I rather spend my money on good food, drinks and on shopping, specially for me :D

I wouldn't worry about getting a hotel or transportation. All can be taken care of the day you arrive if you must. Don't get hung up on certain hotels. There are plenty of decent to good ones around. You are there for the entertainment mostly. Just go and have fun. I believe it's rainy season during that time, so getting something won't be difficult last minute. Pacific Breeze and Central Park, the same owners reply within 24 hours and can arrange a pickup for you. But like I said, don't get hung up on the hotels. It's not that big of a deal.

There is a shuttle that leaves the Sunset Gardens Hotel everyday at around 10am goes to By The Sea and returns at around noon. Double check but I think that is correct. I think it is 500 pesos per.

1) I'll probably be there for a week in early July.
2) You could use the Margarita Station website to book your hotel. You list your top few options and they'll do the legwork for you getting it booked. If the notice is VERY short you might have to move once or twice during your stay. Margarita Station also has the cheapest airport pickup rate, and will show up with a cooler full of your favorite beverage.

Keymaster already gave you great advice. If you're coming out of Iraq...I can't help wondering why you're getting the willies about booking a hotel in AC.
Margarita Stn has been in business a while, and I assume they make money from the bookings. It's not my favorite place to eat, nor hang out, but I think you should give them the benefit of the doubt. Mr. Woodrow has suggested it, and it sounds like he's used the service.
I can't help but think it's a bit disrespectful to post a message doubting the validity of the recommended site -- much less failing to thank the poster.

If you prefer a pool, as I do, you can start with Hotel America on the low end, and of course most of the more expensive places have a pool.

Jimmy Regina is a young (same age) Caucasian male via his infamous website is how I first heard about AC. Google his name the site will appear magically before your eyes. He runs a blog and forum. The only domestic flights (of which I am aware) is the MWF morning flight to Cebu, and the SEAir daily flight to Caticlan (Boracay).
Tiger goes to SIN and Air Asia to both KL and KK (Kota Kinabalu). Asiana to ICN (Seoul, Korea) and somebody flies to Macau and BKK now I believe. There has been lots of buzz about Thai Airways flying to CRK from BKK but still no conformation of that.
The DMIA website will list all connections I think.

No Horny, I did no mongering on the west bank - purely in traveller mode then. As you mentioned those lads mean business if you mess with their sisters. You don't evn see the young pubescent female members of a family when you enter a Arab home, only the kids and grannies. They strive to keep temptation out of your way, which is OK by me as I am quite attached to my nuts.
I did my mongering in Aquaba in Jordan and Eilat, its nearby twin in Israel. Was tempted in Damascus but the quality was poor so didn't weaken. Funnily enough I was offered a Bedouin girl in Petra of all places, but she looked none too clean, so again I declined. But there are definate mongering opportunities in the middle east and I would love to give more info but this being the AC board, I don't want to rouse the ire of the 'Jobsworthy's':) GH

I own a few guns (AR15 rifle, Rem700 Police, etc.), have been in the German Army and also shoot with the US Army several times. So I will not go there if they only have some. 22 lfR guns. Hope you understand what I mean.

That was in a subdivision and not in a hotel. His next-door neighbors did it. Pretty brutal.
Anyone worried should just stay on the main drag. Stay at one of the main Fields hotels and you never have to go more than 100-200 meters (and sometimes significantly less). Or stay at Clarkton and have all your fun in Mirrors, Lost In Asia, Roadie's etc. Take a trike to Fields from there if you like.
Yes, there is the potential for violence, but I doubt per-capita it's any worse than a western city. The standard advice applies--use the in-room safe, only carry as much cash as you need. If you're a big spender, plan to go to your hotel room to refill a few times.

presently, i have been getting reports from friends who stay in ac that safety has become a serious issue this time a year. low season, fewer tourists = desperate locals in need of cash $$$
can anybody confirm that locals are picking fights with tourists to fleece them out of money? i also hear about ****d girls and the police setting up tourists.

Well, just read the first two pages of reports about AC, and found ZERO info about mongering! Plenty of crap about safety though, and lots of stuff about the Middle East. Hmm. OK, I'll do some. AC is NOT dangerous, unless you are stupid enough to go back to a stranger's place and play cards, or something like that (in which case you get what you deserve). Lots of bars, thousands of girls, 90-something percent ordinary with babies etc. , but shop around, stay sober and you will find a good looking one. Lots of cuties who won't go ('cherry girls'). AC is renowned for this. Prices have risen steadily, but still cheap at around P1200 barfine, which is all-inclusive, although tips are optional. Increasing numbers of girls won't stay all night these days, especially the best lookers from the busiest bars such as Blue Nile. AC is still a craphole in general, although there is now a nice big mall (SM mall). Lots of better (and quite expensive) hotels have opened up. I recommend Pacific Breeze at around US$60 per night, nice pool etc.come on guys, lets have useful info, not sad-assed rumours and private conversations.

Anyone worried should just stay on the main drag. Stay at one of the main Fields hotels and you never have to go more than 100-200 meters (and sometimes significantly less). Or stay at Clarkton and have all your fun in Mirrors, Lost In Asia, Roadie's etc. Take a trike to Fields from there if you like.
Yes, there is the potential for violence, but I doubt per-capita it's any worse than a western city. The standard advice applies--use the in-room safe, only carry as much cash as you need. If you're a big spender, plan to go to your hotel room to refill a few times.

Several postings mention a concern about safety in AC. I have been to AC 24 times since Jan 2004. I stayed in the Orchid Inn and now the Wild Orchid since it opened.
I never had an unsafe incident except maybe a few ladies wanting to go bareback. :)
I don't go in less traveled areas. I don't go with street girls. I don't get drunk and wander back streets or start talking trash to anyone who will listen. I don't play card games.
I do visit all the clubs to review the talent. I do just say "No thanks" to vendors. I do pay bar tabs after every round. I do barfine everyday. I do use condoms. I do treat the girls well. I do tip for performance. And....
I do have my ticket for August.

Seems to be this issue all of a sudden about safety in AC. From a guy thats been there many times in last few years and just got back from AC last month I can assure you that it has not changed from the first time there.
Whether it be AC, Manila, Cebu, New York, Los Angeles or any other place that has high crime rate. Don't MAKE YOURSELF A TARGET. Be alert, don't look and sound stupid, leave the jewelry at home and obviously do not go in area where tourist do not go. Golden rule. If it looks bad, sounds bad, and just looks bad. Well duh. CC are accepted by all hotels and some of the larger bars but be careful of the CC supplement charge which can be as high as 4%.
Anyone can clarify where to find the cheaper indian Viagra in AC?
I see the touts in the streets and they ask a lot and I would not trust their stuff even if it was free.
I think I am going to need it.

yes you can change sing dollars no problem at the moneychangers on fields.
yes there is regular bus service to baguio (about 3.4 hours). do not go to baguio for action! other method of getting to baguio is asian spirit which flies mwf mornings from manila (not from clark though). quicker to take bus.
be prepared not to recognize balibago at all.
one huge change is prevalence of scams involving **** freelancers. beware. tolerance of any kind of drugs in angeles (other than the freelance viagra salesmen lol) is gone.
another huge change is that the koreans have descended on ac in huge numbers. things will shock you just how different they are.

Money changers are everywhere, WATCH OUT! Not all are respectable. Counterfit money is every where here. Seedy money changers have been known to slip in a few conterfiets while getting your money back. Norma's in AC in there is problably the most wildly used and they are the respectable money changer establishment in Angeles. When you get to AC ask where Norma's is. Everyone knows.
Personally I would bring only american 100 bills and no smaller denomination.
Smaller bills usually get smaller exchange rate. Make sure also the 100 bills are the newer version as well and in good shape. May sound crazy but make sure corners are not cut as well

Yes Singapore dollars will work but you will get a better rate with USD.
For the best exchange rates try Norma's on Teodoro, one block south of Fields.
Most established businesses will take credit cards. PB hotel and some others will except USD.
Baguio is about a two hour ride, sometimes longer and buses are readily available.

It's not difficult to arrange at all. In fact there's a good chance she'll ask you to go see her again that night, especially if you've been nice, and bought a plural number of lady drinks the night before.
I'm with you, sometimes finding a new one is too much hassle. I'll alternate between known and unknown quantities as the mood strikes.
It's low season now, so I think girls would love to have repeat visits with guys they like. Whoever mentioned backflips earlier wasn't exaggerating by much.
but when it comes to fuel surcharge.....
In all the past years I was used to prices somewhat 60-100 USD to get to AC.

read about your safety concerns for ac...and my friend just told me last week from 2 incidents. One guy was brutally murdered. Australian guy, around 65 or more. Stabbed and put into a suitcase. Neighbours found him, cause the smell becomes awfull.
Another guy, prob US, got shot in the face on fields last week. He survived it. Propbly you will hear more and read more about this on other ac specialized boards later.
So, if somebody ask you for your money and cphone, hand it out, its better, cause for sure the shxTbag have a gun and cause there aint much going on in those brains, better do what you been told, otherwise you will find yourself in a nice coffin back home.
But Pattaya also has his up and downs. I was in Ac last week, like evry weekend and heard nothing bout this, found nothing unusual going on, except I barfined 2 gurls from DH...of course the prettiest and one I just saw on the nice youtube video. She tells evrybody she is a virgin hahahaha LOL...

This next trip, I am going to skip AC until things calm down a bit.
Ask at the bars -- either they have it or can steer you in the right direction. I've paid 150 per box of 4 Cialis tabs. Some people have said you can get it cheaper. I've had touts in Cebu ask for outrageous sums -- and then I bargained them down to 150.

24 years is a long time, and much has changed in the Philippines at large, not just in AC I suppose. I remember changing all my money (US$) only at the bars and other such places and avoiding the licencesd moneychangers because the official fixed rate was so artificially low.
But I was in Manila just in Feb this year and the Sing$ was just as acceptable there. Was hoping it would be the same in AC as I would prefer to avoid the hassle of double conversion. Perhaps I'll just bring pesos from Singapore...
Speaking of changes, I believe not everything has changed. AC was an amazing sex haven then (and apparently still is). Also, my buddy and I picked up a couple of freelancers and paid for LT. But right after the first round both gave some excuse and left, never to return. So, we were in it with the pioneers of the art, apparently!

US $ has the lowest spread ie gives you the best rate in AC. There's no need to go to Norma's these days as they no longer offer any better rates than the most favorable rates available in Field's (just check the signs). The only reason to go to (the "wholesaler") Norma's would be if you'd want to change a large amount, something the smaller shops along Field's may not be able to handle.
Credit cards are accepted in the hotels, but usually at a surcharge. Personally I limit my CC use in PI, much better to withdraw from ATM and pay ca$h, which also limits the cloning risk..
Buses to Baguio are available 24/7 from Dau bus terminal (a trike ride away). IMO it's realistic to budget about 5 hrs for the trip incl. rest stops etc.

Anything can be worked out. It's all about the money and they will accomodate you. A few days, a week, the longer the better for the Bars and the Mama-sans. I would suggest just bar fine the girl and take it day to day. Something may catch your eye and it's sometimes good to have that flexibility. The good one's are hard to find, so if you do land one, it's very easy to go back to the bar and just bar fine the girl for another night as needed. I have done 2 to 3 nights in a row, but usually move on after that.
Sometimes if it goes on too long, they get tooooooooooooo attached! LOL! Have fun!

Safety is always a concern for newbies. Just remember to stay on the main busy drag, stay away from anyone who is too friendly or pretends to know you. Stay away from blind spots (bushes, corners, etc.), where someone can jump out without you seeing them. Bottom line, be smart. Ok, back to the info.
AC does have a lot of girls who are friendly at the bar and hit the off switch as soon as your key hit's the lock on your hotel room door. Often, you can feel the girls personality change as soon as you get a block from the bar.
The Pacific Breeze is good, but I think the AC hotels are overpriced, considering you are in the middle of no where. The prices are very close to what you would pay in Bangkok! LOL!
The barfines have gone up, and while most are P1,200, there's also a few bars at P1,350 and the "model", "spot light" girls at the Doll House and Atlantis, who are available at P3,000. That's very high, considering how inconsistent the performances are in AC. Atlantis currently has a very good lineup, but the best performances still seem to be the mid range girls, who are above average in looks but not so much that they go starfish on you. Many of them around in AC for the P1,200.

All of the girls that were taken "into custody" were the ones who were painted. The girls were NOT given any other clothes to bring with them and hauled away with what they had on (meaning body paint and a small t-back panty). Soon after the girls were at the Manila CIDG location, they were subsequently released WITHOUT charges being filed against them. HOWEVER, they were just put out onto the streets and NOT given a ride back to AC. The DHG (dollhouse group) did arrange transportation back to ac for them.

AT2Guys you can avoid the higher prices by going Perimeter. Lower Barfines, lower drink prices, less boof-boof-boof, and less bargirl attitudes. You can find future "spot light" girls there for a 1000 peso barfine.
Hotels are less out there too.

Don't be an idiot. I've found this true overseas as well as in the US. Don't flash a lot of money around you are just asking for trouble. Use that thing on your shoulders for something other than a hat rack. If the area looks bad most likely it is. You wouldn't go down a dark alley in a bad neighborhood in the states so why take the same chances overseas.
