Hello All,
I have been going to Thailand for more than five years now. I have a buddy who works with me and we go there four to five times per year and have a ball. We normally spend about a day in Bangkok and the rest of our time in Pattaya, South Pattaya to be exact. We are looking to do a bit more of exporing in North Pattaya and Jomtien on our next trip. Additionally, we do end up taking a couple day trips each visit to Thailand so that we see more than just Pattaya. Our next visit will be the week of the 12th and 19th of Sep, 2004. If any of you will be going during that time, let's get in touch and maybe we can get together and compare notes. Maybe I can show you some new sites there and maybe you can show me some. I was in Pattaya the last week of January and found a keeper at Happy A-Go-Go my first night there. I kept her with me for one fabulous week. 2. Many really ugly bar girls. There are some real fatties on offer and the only way I can see them getting bar fined is out of sympathy for them. It must be tough being an ugly hooker.
3. Or a good looking one. Several Soi 7 sluts who were offered my hard stolen cash were knocked back for a variety of reasons. It is not their position to tell me they are good looking. I assess that on a variety of issues. I am a kind of one man Miss Hooker World judge, jury and executioner. I cetainly don't need an illiterate Thai prostitute to dictate my ethical tastes to me.
4. I hooked up with an ok looker from a bar beside the TVs on Second Road. 200 bar fine and 1000 for her. There is a knockout gorgeous girl in the same bar and I am going back for her tonight. My type: full woman, lady like but the face of a well used hooker.
5. Last night's was good: a good HFE. 19, 20th birthday later this month (ID checked in advance: this is not a Traveller "comedy of errors"). I had a walk down Beach Road and these are my findings:
1. Too many ugly guys covered in tattoos.
2. Lots of ugly women in the afternoon. A few passables but none up to my high standards.
3. There is a lot of construction work going on on Beach Road. I am not sure if this will have any effect but they seem to be building wooden shelters every few yards. Also, lots of cheap tailor chops poppping up in Soi 8, and boring go go horror halls too.
4. The source of last night's HFE told me her bar stays open till 3 am. WTF would want to stay around until that time? I like the bar as it has some lousy singers who do old Dire Straits and Thin Lizzy numbers in heavy Thai accents.
5. I like walking through Pattaya in the afternoon. Kinda like that scene in Apocalypse Now where he lauds the smell of napalm early in the morning. Is it just me o do the women in Pattaya look like they belong in a building site in drag. When the sun shines, they look like the overdressed ( in cheap) peasants that they are.
6. A lot of these hookers want to have sex with me. Although that is understandable - last night, they guy from 2 floors down came up to tell me to stop, the building was rattling that much - I tell them I am too old. They tell me I have a good heart. I ell them I have not goood heart and they only want my money (= chump change). They say everyone wants money. Not so. Not me. I want love. From one of these cheap hookers.
Maybe I will find it tonight. If not, I will fuck the life out of last night's one, or her friend (her sister is too fat)

The construction on Beach Road is for a festival. They are putting a big effort in there: lots of little wooden stallsto sell things and lots of plants being put in there. The cops were also on patrol, checking ID cards. Most of the ladies had them ready; those who did not were mobbed by cops.

I bar fined my lady friend again last night (near to Diana Inn). I told her I would bar fine her for the next few nights and two of her friends to celebrate her 20th birthday. She was happy with that and made plans to go to Tony's Disco.

A good number of bar fines and lady drinks and he is in the black: I bought her a lady drink: diluted orange juice at 80 baht, as opposed to 40 baht for my water. I think the slug is the cheap Charlie as a more upscale drink would look better. He even made a scene about tipping the musicians 100 bt. I tipped a fatty 100 bt but made no scene.
Before I showed her the door, in a friendly way, she offered to fuck me again but why bother? They are too tired to fuck properly. They do not have the time to recuperate from work. Once they get home at say 10 am and sleep a few hours, it is time to go to the office again.
They have to wear sexy clothes and make up or they get fined 50 baht. Unfortunately, I am one of the punters who pig out there (two big platefuls plus fruit) as I do not eat lunch. However, it does have the added benefit of keeping me "down" on the ball. At least until I get into rhythm.

Across from Apex is the bunch of beer bars (Orn, etc). The road to the beach is not exactly across the street, but the closest one I can think of. Is this the road you're talking about?
Could we perhaps have a name? Actual location? It's rather like saying, "I found the best girl in Pattaya, you just have to see her", and not giving her name or bar location.

1. Apex Breakfast. I don't understand why guys pay to go watch the crocodiles when you can watch the porkers eat breakfast at Apex. Here is a new twist: There were two deaf and dumb guys with a Thai lady, who was dressed all in England football gear (the tailors are selling that shit now in Soi 8). She could talk deaf and dumb language too. The point here, gentlemen, is that, depending on what you are looking for, there are great bargains in the human companionship stakes here. Because I am built like a Greek God, albeit a bit too hairy for today's fashions, and because I am probably the nicest, gentlest and most modest person who ever existed, these rules do not apply specifically to me but you get my drift. There are good ladies to be had here.

JC, if you are still with this rant, walk down on the Soi 7 side of the bars "opposite Apex". You walk by the side of the bars, past a sauna jacuzzi place on your right hand side. The eatery is on the left hand side opposite the Sawasdee Hotel/Motel. It is cheap and ok. OK? As a special treat, you can aslo try Scoby's take away Pizza (038-720752). Better still, there is a small open air market in Soi Buskhaw, kind of "level" with Soi 7. Opposite this is a very good and cheap Thai food place which opens at 6 pm and which is frequented by many Thais, rich and poor. The Thai motorbike fraternity frquent both of the Thai places I recommend.
3. I checked out the Expats Club meeting on Soi 1. Not impressed. A lot of whinging Poms gassing on too much about BS and little hard information. The head of the British Chamber of Commerce in Pattaya, a glorified insurance salesman spoke on financial matters. My Swiss banker friend and I were not impressed.
Although the tattood monkey crowd were absent, the clientele were not my type: rthter lower class.
4. Speaking of which: I cut a page out of a local paper on buying proerty here, written in very bad English by a Thai attorney. Main points in doing a due diligence check:
a. to whom does the land really belong
b. make sure all title documents are authenticated;
c. who will pay for taxes, transfer fees and other costs
use a standard contract in both English and Thai
d. pay by verifiable method
e. Some more bs.
5. The local free papers had lots of stroies of petty theft, katoeys killing themsleves etc
6. I checked out some property prices. One with 30 rooms and bathrooms for 11 mill baht caught my eye. I would like that as I would have about 100 hookers as tenants. And about a million problems.
7. So, ok what about the sex? Not much I am afraid. I will post photos later (be warned, be afraid, be very afraid). The Osama mask was not a big hit with the ladies. I think I might just shit into it and leave it in a beer bar.

I took a photo of the eatery and will post it much later along with The Osama Collection. I also took a photo of the parade on Beach Road. Lots of army cadets marching but not fully in step. Maybe they should work more and fuck less on Operation Cobra. Sloppy drill really pisses me off. Bring back the draft I would say but they have it here, for all the good it does. stopped in pattaya for a couple of days before going back to bkk and then to usa...
pattaya is one big ***** house. there are so many girls all over the place that makes you wonder how many girls get to go with farang and the rest just look... right now is the low season so not many tourists and the slection of girls is good...
10% of the girls are nice, 20% ok to good, and the rest are just mediocre to skanks...
many beer bars here and if you look a little harder you will find a gem... lots of beer bars on soi 8 and soi 7 and soi 2 and 3 on second road.... actually lots of bars everywhere... went to lucifer disco (walking street) and the music and atmosphere was good... lots of pretty girls there...

also went to xzyte (actual spelling) disco which is a mostly young thai disco, huge and the only worth thing seeing there are the live shows of dancers and singers....
during the day we would go (my buddy and i) to the island to get away from it all... i forget the island's name but they have boats to take you there or you can rent a speed boat. we rented a speed boat and the driver stayed with us for the duration of the trip to one of the beaches on the isalnd. the best beach is samae (sp?) wit only a few people there and the water is clean. speed boat rental is 1,500 but make a deal. we paid 1,200 pluss 100 tip, a fair deal.
pattaya is actually nice if you can find things to do beside just fucking. the people of pattaya are nice and used to tourists. hotels are cheap compared to bkk and pussy is also cheap.

Apex Hotel is a good 160 baht dinner. You can really get your money's worth. I want to echo Dinghy's advice that you read the Forum posts in April. I was in Pattaya during the height of Songkran (New Years) this past April. Bars, go-gos, etc. could not have been more open. As for avoiding the festivities; only if you stay inside, but even then there are no guarantees. I went into Starbuck's and ordered a Coffee Frapuccino. The pretty barrista gave me my order, I paid and then she pulled out a water gun from behind the counter and gave me a couple of good shots to my face and body.
I recommend either going and enjoying the festivities (which includes getting wet) or not going during Songkran. You are not going to go out in public at that time and not get wet. It's so hot in April that the water feels good. And there is something to be said for all those cute Thai girls in sopping wet clothes. I saw one little cutie who was SO pretty and had breasts (with amazing nipples) to die for, in a totally wet white tee shirt. That image is burned into my memory forever.
I also noticed that with all the craziness and people just getting soaked to the skin, no one I saw got upset. Just lots of laughter and screaming. The dates that it will occur are not the same all over Thailand. Very generally speaking: it starts in the North and then comes south. The Pattaya waterfestival is like a closing ceremony.

I have been to Thailand twice and hope to spend more time there in the future. I visit the go go bars web sites and find it interesting how the Classroom 1 in Pattaya is willing to aid the girls in screwing farangs for their money. If you visit Tahitian Queen is the best. As a new customer of Classroom1 a-gogo in Pattaya, I was concerned enough after reading Report 14 from Member #1661, that I emailed the management to see what reply they could give..... here follows their reply.

In responce to the Classroom. I did report the incident of me paying a bar fine to the lady instead of the bar. This chick did not meet with me that day and management told me that I should have paid the bar fine to them. I agree with management about this but what really pisses me off is that they let the lady keep working there. I feel that what happend here reflects the go go bar. We all know that sending money to a Thai girl is plan wrong. They are using you and laughing about it. I'd like to avoid having to drive to Bangkok to catch a flight from there. On previous trips to Pattaya I think I heard mention of flights from Rayong but I can't find any info about this on the net.

I wanted to go next month again to Pattaya but then I have think a bit and I started to check my money. That I would need about 1000 EUR for a trip of about 7-10d( to short for me). And I have think why the hell I have to go when I can get a Girl for 3 month for the same price. So I have ask a friend who have fly now to check some girls for me ( he know which girls I know ) which want to come to me, and finaly after 1 week. He found a girl which want to come I told here she get the money for her soooooo sick mama when she is here ( 15000 B are already included in the 1000 EUR ) she have agree. And now I only wait for my favorite Travel Agent in Pattaya ( SAL ) to come back from his holiday to make the visa and ticket for her ready. The good is that she cant sell the ticket because the money will then go back to me. And he have his own driver which will take her to the Airport. ( btw I have done it before already 2 times) I cant barly wait he come back to send her to me.
And no I dont need a advice of something because I done it before and it was always without any problems.

It changes for year to year for sure it can be a lot of rain in oct, but there will be less tourists so the bar scene will be much better than in the peak season around Christmas.

Hi Bun, You can fly from Uta Pao to Phuket or Samui with Bangkok airways U P is about 45 mins away south from Pattaya and is often called Pattaya airport.
The flight to Phuket stops at Samui to change planes I have just returned from Samui (Lamai Beach) I can recommend the Lamai Wanta resort as being good clean and girl friendly.
I was with her indoors for my visit to Samui so I wanted things low key I did manage to sneak off for a couple of massages with a knuckle shuffle finish.

On my second to last night in Bangkok, The dude across from me in the hotel got arrested at 3AM. I had heard some chaos in the hallway an hour early but was busy snuggling with my honey, then I heard some girls crying and police banging on this guys door. As an experienced visitor to Thailand which includes a half-dozen trips to Pattaya, I have my own opinion of Classroom. They may not train the ladies to fleece the mongers but they also have the highest barfine in Pattaya at 700 baht. And I honestly do not believe it reflects the best looking ladies by any measure. I'm glad the management has a high standard of service in mind. But my own personal experience on the premises has not been favorable.
I was last there on Saturday May 16th at approximately 11 pm. The place was fairly full with many of the servicemen in there. The server placed me at a table that four of the dancers were occupying. I was generally treated with distain and largely ignored. I thought I would lighten things up a bit so I offered to buy lady drinks for all four. I placed the order with the server, but the dancers played a little scam on me. Instead of delivering lady drinks, the server brought four lady drink cocktails which are approximately 150 baht each instead of the 100 baht for a drink. I smiled and told the server I was aware of the difference but would still pay for them. I got a wai and a thank you from each of the ladies who immediately turned around and continued ignoring me. When I left and paid the bin tab I called attention to the surly treatment to the mamasan who seemed completely bored with my observation.
This is not typical treatment in many of the other go-gos and I will not return to Classroom again.

October is one of my favorite months here - the rain is easing off and the days are relatively cooler than what we get most of the year.
Definitely one of the prime times to visit, and as Olio Ho Says there are not that many tourists, but it is starting to pick up then. The rain is iffy - some years in Bangkok and Pattaya October is pretty dry. I great time to make a trip!

I have been in Thailand and Pattaya at least once during every month of the year. October is a great time to go, it is when the temps start to fall, just before high season, and the girls are really hungery then.
As for the rain it can rain alot in the begining of the month but for the most part the rain is gone by the middle to end of the month. Even if it is raining it is not a big deal, the rain comes and goes very fast and the bars and girls are always ready to serve rain or no rain.
I would say October is one of the times I like best in Thailand. Enjoy yourself, I know I will be doing the same.

Hey fellow mongers! I just got back from Pattaya and had a pretty decent MP experience.

Classroom A Go Go Soi Pattayaland 4 (13/4) is not likemost other go go clubs in Pattaya. As has been already pointed out the bar fine is 700 baht, a 700 baht bar fine is nothing more than a rip off of the customer. Really even the differance between a beer bar and go go bar, bar fine is to much already.
Why should a beer bar have a 200 baht fine and a go go a 500, 600, or 700 baht bar fine? Granted the cost are higher in a go go to operated but not 3 1/2 times. And then the girls want double the tip (beer bar vs. go go bar), in the old days when the go go guirls were all 9 plus, it was worth it. Today the average go go girl is equal in looks to most beer bar girls. Some say you pay more in a go go bar because you can see the girl without clothes, that is not the case in Classroom, beer bar girls wear less clothes than the girls in classroom.
Even if you pay the 700 baht, classroom still try's to screw you by not letting the girls leave the club many times until later in the night. If you bar fine a girl longtime the club wants her back in the bar each night with you to drink for several hours. Next time in the club look around at the classroom girls in street clothes with customers and they stay for hours. Your girl also get a 40 baht cut on every drink you buy her, even after you have bar fined her while at the club.
Anyone who has spent any time in Pattaya can find much better clubs to hang at.

The salary of a bargirl ranges from 1.000 - 2500 and of a gogo girl from 3.000 - 8.000 (including shows). As you already pointed out - the operating costs of a Gogo are also higher. Don't get me wrong, I do not try to defend the higher barfine and would be more than happy if they wouldn't charge any barfine at all, but the ratio 1 : 2,5 could be explained somehow. Nevertheless I believe that they would still make some good money even if they would charge less, not to forget that almost no gogo girl will ever get her full salary. They are fined for almost everything, being late (even just a few minutes), wrong dress, not enough lady drinks and/or offs and so on.
700 baht are a scam but remember, Christmas and New Year many Gogos charge you even 1.000 and some Gogos charge you more than the usual 500 if you take the lady before midnight.

So go go salaries are even higher than 8,000 baht. Far East Rock Soi Post Office (13/2) pays 15,000 baht per month. And Peppermint pays the fish bowl girls 14,000 baht per month. But that is really not the point. The go go bars also charge double the drink prices in most cases to cover the higher cost. And as you know the bars really don't pay the girls as they must have a min. number of bar fines each moth to earn the salary.
But even putting the bar fine aside, why should a go go girl get double the tip of a beer bar girl? The standard beer bar tip is 500 baht ST, and 800-000 baht LT vs. 1000 baht ST and 1500 - 2000 baht LT for a go go bar. They are the same girls in many cases so why pay them double?
Is the pussy better at a go go bar? In most cases I have found this not to be true. Most of the fresh, young (legal age) girls I have found have been in beer bars and not go go bars. Also the beer bar girls overall tend to be much more friendly then the go go girls.
And please posters don't post back this garbage about how it is only a some amount of money and why be cheap? It has nothing to do with being cheap, our standard of living in the West is not the standard of living in Thailand. It is all about overpaying and being ripped off.
Freelancers, beer bar, go go bar girls it is all a joke they're all girls looking to take your money and sleep with you. Use them, pay them and more on. But for the guys here for only a few days each year they feel they must overpay to get as much auction into a short amount of time as possible.

I came to Pattaya with a predesigned game plan for mongering. As was the case last November, I was sharply criticized by many of the longtime senior members for overpaying, especially when it came to the beach walk girls.
Well, on this trip, I have decided to make it fully upfront with the girl of my choice, I will pay a very minimal upfront fee and I will tip and hand over money rather generously for great service. And fellow mongers, great service I have gotten. Over the past 5 days here in Pattaya, I have had about 12 ST, freelancers during the mid day and late afternoons and another 5 overnight girls. I have yet to receive even one bad or less then perfect encounter. This method works, especially when you tell the girls upfront. I also think if all mongers used this full proof method, we would all get better service. This would be achieved by the girls learning, the nicer they are, the more the get.
For most of my dates that required NO barfine, I started with 500 baht, and tipped up to another 800 baht, for ST daytime dates, The average tip turned out to be about 300, if she was really into her work and into me, she got more.
One lady even told me, "you give me 800 baht tip and I do for you anything you like, anyway you like." Needless to say, I sampled everything she had to offer and yep, she got her 800 baht tip!
I'm amazed at the low season, I guess they call it that for a reason, there are few tourists and what seems to be just as many girls as high season, probably just because there is far less mongers here.

I am with you. Usually bar girls have a better attitude than gogo girls. I made the experience that many of the gogo girls - not all of course - are usually out for ST rather than LT. I like to have someone close to me in the morning when I have a hard-on. Bargirls also aren't as pushy as gogo girls regarding drinks.
Needless to say that I never managed to understand why gogo girls should be paid better than bargirls. Maybe that's why I usually prefer freelancers and bargirls. Anyway, I never talk about money beforehand except telling them that they will get paid due to performance without mentioning any numbers. That usually garantuees maximum performance and if not satisfied she will get paid accordingly.
All I can do is guess, that there are enough customers who are willing to pay more in a gogo than in a bar for some unknown reason. Maybe the girls believe that they are worth more than their counterparts at the bars or it's just the same reason why goods at the Emporium are much more expensive than at Chatuchak market, environment and location.
IN THEORY, an advantage of gogo girls is that one has SOME recourse if the girl does a runner, steals from you etc. HOWEVER, I noticed a disturbing trend of "no refund" policies in gogo bars (Carousel & Misty's come to mind). After a friend had a runner before he even got back to his room with her, he returned to the bar and was shown a TINY sign reading "choose carefully. No refunds." Never thought I'd defend the ethics of gogo bar owners in the PI, but at least in the old days they WOULD stand behind their product and give a refund for runners etc.
Also, some Pattaya bars have developed this insiduous practice of split shifting on weekends so you must pay TWO BAR FINES for one day (they consider day & night separate shifts). Never heard of this in the PI (or ANYWHERE else). Given that it is low season, you'd THINK they'd be a little more interested in having satisfied customers. I still love Pattaya, but the gogo bars are better for watching the shows than finding sanuk.

If they would like to talk with me about this I will be glad too. If anyone is planning a trip to LOS read the comments and suggestions here. The members that post here regularly will provide valuable advice.
ps I have also found that if you negotiate a low fee with a tip included if service is good then you will have a very good time.
BEACH ROAD SCAM?
I was walking along the beach road today and was approached by a young and attractive girl claiming to be a student. She wanted me to fill out a questionaire, I wasn't busy so I agreed. Anyway, after finishing it she gets me to pick a lucky dip card, it turns out I've won the star prize. To find which one of the prizes I won I had to go with the girl to a hotel in Jomtien beach. This is where I became cagey, I refused to go and carried on walking.
What I want to know is does anyone know of this, is it a scam, or was I foolish walking away? The prize was a week in the hotel, a digital camera or $500. It seemed to good to be true, they were even paying for the taxi there and back.

Hi all,
Newbie here, just wanted to ask some questions about Pattaya.
I have been thinking of trying out the famous ''Sin City'' before & I often hear it described as ''Bangkok on Steroids''.
Novemeber 2004, will be my frist trip to Pattaya but my 5th tour of LOS , I have done the usual stuff , Bangkok etc.. and have travelled to Issan before staying in a village near Udon.
On each of my tours, I have always gone to Patong/Phuket to finish off as i like the laid back vibe that exists there.
The crowd there can only be described as very friendly, combined with the size of Patong being small and very ''managable''.
I have heard that it ain't so friendly in Pattaya & when i see that map I got to admit that it looks a little daunting.
Am I worrying about nothing? I always travel alone and I heard that Pattaya has a lot of the ''Football hooligan'' element in attendance, is this the truth? If so, do you think i will be safe enough by myself?
I realise I probably sound like a right wimp , my apologies.
Most of the Patong crowd say Pattaya is really ''In your face'. I think they are referring to the thousands of bars and incredible amounts of women trying to drag you bar-wards, hehe
Can anyone here give me some top tips & advice as how I can survive my first Pattaya trip alone?

Scam, big time! It's just a way to entice you to a restaurant/hotel where they amiably invite you to food and drinks. Later on they want you to sign a contract for a time-sharing apartment. If you refuse to participate they charge you for the taxi ride and the drinks/food that you have consumed.
Remember, if it sound too good to be true, it IS too good to be true.

My Two Cents for the Go-Go vs. Bar Girl Thread:
I know that there are countless reports from guys that have had incredible experiences with a Go-Go girl, but I have yet to have one. I have experienced very pretty Go-Go girls, very friendly Go-Go girls, and Go-Go girls that go-go out the door-door as soon as the ST clock is up. But I have never had even one exceptional encounter with a Go-Go girl.
However and happily so, I have had exceptional encounters with free lancers and beer bar girls.
There was the Lovely Lactating Lady from a Walking Street bar that fulfilled more than a few of my fantasies.
There was the tag-team duo from the King Kong bar that wouldn’t quit until I did.
There was the young lady from the Thermae that became a perfect girlfriend in 2 minutes flat.
There was the nasty, nasty girl from the Soi 7 Biergarten that made me explode like Vesuvius.
There was the sweetest girl from the Soi 2 beer bar complex that told me she loved me, and for a few moments I actually believed her.
There was the off-duty hairdresser that asked me to come to Isaan so that she could show me off to the family.
But there were no memorable encounters with Go-Go girls. I think that from now on, I’ll follow the following program: Drop in at Living Dolls for the 10:30 show, get my libido good and stirred up, and then off to Soi 2 to find my next memorable encounter. Or maybe to the Bamboo Bar to find that lady from out of town visiting her sister, or…….the possibilities are endless. And a whole lot easier on the wallet, too.

It is a commonly used marketing trick in the US and remember this: if it sounds too good to be true then it isn't.

I experienced the same SCAM in Bkk. The girls flag you down on Sukhumvit to help them with a survey and some are real cute, so you just oblige. 1 or 2 days later you are sleeping or pumping your favorite bar girl at 8am and a white guy with an accent will call you to say you just won something. You might just slam the phone down, but they will persist and call again. I guess the survey girls are on some type of commission. Now I never give out personal information, hotel name, or room number to strangers.

I agree with what has been stated before about go-go’s vs beer bar’s girls in Pattaya, I also tend to hunt beer bar girls and freelancers rather than go-go chicks when I am in The Sacred City, mainly for 3 reasons:
1. They are cheaper.
2. In beer bars and on the streets I often come accros young (around 18-20) and relatively new to the scene girls with great attitude, which are my favourite preys. You seldom come across these specimens in go-go bars as go-go chicks tend to be on the hardcore side.
3. The lighting in go-go bars is dreadful when it comes to taking decisions about selecting beauties: what looked like an 8 turns into a 5 as soon as you come out of the go-go, but it is already too late since you have already paid the bar fine and the mamasan wouldn’t accept the excuse that the girl has dropped 3 points on the Ritcher scale of beauty in clear light to give you back the money. So you can either release her and write off the bar fine or take her to your room and waste your time and millions of spermatozoids with a 5. But we don’t fly half way around the world to fuck a 5, do we?
In my opinion the lack of proper lighting is the worst disadvantage of most go-go bars. It doesn’t matter if they are naked, you can’t appreciate properly the merchandise because it is dark, you won’t see strech marks, child birth marks, scars and even her aging face till you get out of there.
It is much easier to evaluate accurately beer bar girl’s beauty despite the fact that they are normally dressed.

I thought that Butterfly Blue raised some interesting questions and I was hoping that some who know Pattaya well would have responded. I know that "RTFF" could be said but a post along the lines of Kens 14 in the general info section would be useful. I have oftened toyed with the idea of visiting this metropolis but have not been sure if this will be any better than Bangkok for the quality of the girls and general entertainment value. I also heard that this place does attract more than its fair share of unsavoury types and I thought that BB's question on "football hooligans" is a good one.
BTW, I have also witnessed a farang brawl in a gogo in NEP in Bangkok.

While many football fans are in Pattaya I have never had a single problem with one of them in almost 20 years of coming to Pattaya. Pattaya really is a very easy place to travel around. Almost everything most guys will want to do can be found within the areas bordered by Beach Road, South Pattaya Road, Second Road, and North Pattaya Road. Baht buses run 24 hours a day around this big circle so transportation is very easy. Since almost everyone speaks English, and the signs are in English no problems with that area too.

Again no real problems with the guys who are interested in Football. The area along Beach Road has been a center for lady boys in the past and some problems with them in the darker corners but, all new high power lighting was installed in July so this issue has been addressed.
Overall I have always found Pattaya to be very friendly and laid back but with a really open and lots of fun. The hotels rooms, food, girls, transportation, etc are all priced at least a third to half less than in Bangkok or in Patong Beach.

Pattaya can be very in your face if you walk along (without a girl) down the beer bar Sois the girls will try very hard to get you into the bars, but, they are more playful about it then anything else. And they try very hard, girls that have seen me walk by a bar a 100 times in the last month still try but it really is not a problem, it is Pattaya and everything is up to you. I do believe that Pattaya has more girls(working) in a small area available then anywhere else in Thailand.
It is very easy to find almost any type of girl you are looking for in this city. One problem many guys have is just to many girls which makes it very hard to pick one.

Freelancers: Day and Night Beach Road, Royal Garden Mall, Big C, Discos Night time only
Massage Soapy: Big C Area Second Road around Soi 2 3 Area, three very good places to choose from.
Beer Bars: Soi 7 and 8 are the heart of the beer bars in Pattaya, but also the Soi 2 Area can be very good.
Go Go Bars: Walking Street is the heart of them which includes Soi Diamond, Followed by Pattayaland II, a few other Go Go Bars are around Pattaya and some good but most of ther action in these two areas.

Completely agree with SexReview. I took my first trip, alone, to Pattaya last Feb. and had no problems at all. Spent the first day wandering around to orient myself.
As to Pattaya being more "in-your-face" than BKK, I'd say no more so than wandering NEP and having the touts trying to get you in the gogo's. I had two experiences of note. Walking Beach rd. heading to soi 7 and 8 I had a LB get in my way hoping for my attention. After smiling and saying no thank you he/she would not move so I gently tried to move him/her. After trying this twice I again said no thank you and he/she pointed to his/her cheek. So I did the polite think and kissed his/her cheek and was on my way and the girls at the bar got a good laugh, as did I. Second was heading down soi 8 and a (real) girl stepped in front of me to stop me. So I just scooped her up and kept walking. I ended up taking her from the bar and she was the best lay I had in Pattaya.
Anyway, have a great time and don't look for trouble and you will most likely not find it. I will be in Pattaya late Nov. (27th) and if you are there and want to grab a beer and wander the local haunts with me let me know.

I think if you are looking to have a good and relaxing time in both ways, that Pattaya is the way to go. There is more things to do vacation and tourist wise during the day. But if I had my choice purely my the woman standpoint, I think Jakarta is the way to go. The indonesian women seem to have less hangups the thai women in my experience. I think it takes a little more work to do so. The accomodations to me are better in Thailand.

Freeler, no "fex" is not particularly cheap in Thailand. It used to be, but this is past. You can still get some very affordable deals, but only with the older and less beautiful girls, who are mother left alone by their Thai husband most of the time. When you fuck them you feel more like doing a goodwill social gesture than enjoying a good ttime with a teenage prostitute.

The real difference beetween Jakarta and Pattaya is that Pattaya is a city definitely sex-and-fun-for farangs oriented and Jakarta is a big city (capital of Indonesia) with all the pros and cosn of the capitals. I mean that Pattaya is the biggest adults playground in the world and jakarta is a big metropolis. Jakarta is more or less similar to Bangkok.
For some days of sex and fun I wouldn't have any doubt: PATTAYA.

After checking through the formalities usually 40 minutes. Then heading to my Hotel from the Airport it's usually too late to party!
Can somebody please advise what a taxi would cost from the Bkk airport to Walking Street at this late hour. And/Or a fast way to get to Pattaya same night.(please not by limo)

Police were called to a disturbance at a hotel in Central Pattaya between two women and a foreigner at around 2 a.m. on August 19. Arriving at the location police witnessed the three in a heated argument. Officers broke the group apart and escorted them to the station.
Mikael Persson was fined for slapping a service girl for not providing “special service”.
Mikael Persson, a Swedish national, told police that he had been to a local beer bar and had decided to take a girl back to his room, spending over a thousand baht in drinks and a bar fine.
The woman in question, Lamyai Soonklarng, 25, told police that she had intended to accompany the foreigner back to his room for an evening of bedroom activities but the agreement turned sour when the man demanded oral satisfaction, which she promptly refused.
Lamyai was adamant that she would not perform the act and requested to go back to work. Perrson demanded his money back from the bar. Lamyai claimed it was not part of the agreement and refused.
The woman then called on a friend as back up and all three began shouting match. Angry, Persson allegedly slapped Lamyai as her friend arrived. As the woman’s friend, identified as Suwannee, tried to stop the fight, she too received a slap for her interference.
Police, acting as mediators in the civil dispute, questioned the injured parties. Lamyai said she did not want to make a big fuss and just wanted to go back to work. Suwanne, however, called for compensation. Persson agreed to paying the woman 1,000 baht and police fined him an extra 500 baht for disturbing the peace. They were all given a warning to behave before being released.

Two Finnish tourists were injured after crashing a 900cc motorcycle on Beach Road, near Soi 9 at around 3 a.m. on August 18. Abslem Sikri, 25, and Ramzi Belgacom, 26, both from Finland, had apparently lost control of the bike after attempting to ride along on the back wheel.
Maybe this downed tourist learned that sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.
The impact also caused the fuel tank on their rented 900cc motorcycle to rupture and spill fuel onto the road nearby, creating a dangerous situation.
Witnesses told police that they saw the men ride along Beach Road and upon reaching the beer bars they attempted a wheel stand to impress onlookers. Abslem Sikri was trying to control the large bike while pillion rider Sikri, who was wearing a helmet, hung on for dear life. The victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment of broken arms.

Hey I have just recently started to get interested in Thailand and have found many websites out there on it mainly regarding Pattaya. As you are talking in dollars I assume you are a US citizen, if so you will not need a Visa for a 9 day trip, on arrival you will get your passport stamped which allows you to be in The Kingdom for 30 days. The immigration official will not smile at you, don't get upset, this is quite normal, and he wont say "have a nice day" either.

The Hard Rock Hotel is NOT where you want to go.
It is one of very few girlunfriendly places in Pattaya.
Better stick with The Flippers in Sois 7&8, the Eastiny Inn and Eastiny Place in Soi8 or the Sabai in Soi2.
These hotels have websites and can be booked in advance. You could book for just two nights or so and look around for better deals or better places.
October is low-low season, which makes it easy to find rooms.

I'm interested in who told you that about the Hard Rock. it is absolutely the opposite of my experiences (5 visits, including last month).
I always book a double and always expect to be allowed a double. In over 30 nights there I have never had a girl turned away or been asked for more money(by the hotel, anyway ;).
I understand that many people do not like to pay for a higher standard hotel, but many also do and I suggest that if a guests acts appropriately to the standard of the property, they will not have any problem.
I have never, and I am not exaggerating, spent an evening in the Kings Club at the HRH without a number of guests enjoying drinks with their young lady. I have also never spent a night alone at the HRH and only once over all those stays een asked for a girls ID.
At very worst, I suggest that at check-in, one names his girlfriend who will join him tomorrow (use a thai girl's name - a real one, not Noi or Lek. Include a real Thai last name) and ask for a room card for her too. Then when you return to the hotel from either Second Rd or Beach Rd, put the room card necklace around the girl's neck and also wear your own.They will assume you are both guests. Of course, if the girl is inappropriately dressed, the story may be different.
It also may be that my taste in girls leans towards the demure and I prefer them to wear regualr street clothes instead of 'night club wear'.
In any case, I find no more problems at the Hard Rock than at the Penthouse.

Feeler is right about the Hard Rock, but there are plenty of other guest friendly hotels in a one category step down - the Siam Bayshore is a good place and no problems with guests.
You can stay most anywhere but the top end and those catering to families (Hard Rock).
As far as I know the Siam Bayshore is not GF. I stayed a few years ago at its sister hotel, the Siam Bayview, and the security monkeys gave me a hard time.
I was lucky because there was every night at reception the same guy, who, for some reason, happenned to be quite friendly and sympathetic with my needs and he didn’t charge me the rip-off extra charge for guests, but he did tell me that there was a charge for each guest of 600 bahts.
It was every night the same routine: I arrived with my hired pussy, the security monkey at the entrance gave me the rude treatment and chased me up to the reception desk to make sure I payed the 600 bahts, but at the reception desk was my dear friend the monger-friendly receptionist, who told the monkey that it was OK not to pay in my case.
I got fed up with that situation, and I knew that as soon as the good receptionist was off on one night I would have to pay the rip-off charge, so after 4 or 5 nights there I moved on to another hotel.
From what I’ve heard the Siam Bayview hasn’t changed its policy and the Siam Bayshore is its sister hotel, with sister policy, so I doubt any of these 2 hotels is a good choice for discerning guests like us.
I have never had any guest problems at the Bayshore, but I have never stayed at the Bayview so I could not speak about it.
Security at the Bayshore did not even take ID from the girls when I was last there, so I think things are pretty lax. Given its location at the end of Walking Street, I would imagine that punters represent at least half their trade, so guests are pretty common.
The only issue I have with the place is the number of king sized beds they allocate to each floor. They could have more than what they do.
Other than that, it is a good choice in the "cut above category."

For honest to goodness rooting, it would be difficult to beat Pattaya Thailand. Don't ever let lack of experience or guidance prevent you from going there. Thailand is very guest friendly in all ways in my opinion.
My personal favorite area to stay in Pattaya is on Soi 13, which is within easy walking distance or a short baht bus ride ( 25 cents) to all the fun you could ever imagine in two weeks! There are several reasonably priced hotels on Soi 13 which are all guest friendly and built within the past two years. Pricing is anywhere from $15-50 per night, depending on how elaborate you wish. Stick with a basic and newer hotel. You will be out having fun most of the time anyway!

You should consider reading the forum first or doing a search, but I will relate my opinion on timing and transportation anyway.
I typically arrive from the US at 2230 hour and if I wish to go directly to Pattaya there are two options readily available. 1) Make reservations through your hotel for a pick-up. They will send a driver, often in an unmarked but generally acceptable car to fetch you at the arrival lobby. It will likely cost you between 1300-1700 baht. Not a bad price really and the driver will usually be waiting with a sign in his hand. 2) The other option is to go to the taxi stand outside and arrange a cab on the spot. Negotiate a price before he loads your bag and make sure he is the driver who will take you. Be sure to ascertain who will pay the tolls on the expressway, since that time of night you will want to get to Pattaya as soon as possible. The price might be a bit lower, but not a lot. If you are arriving at that time of day be sure to make a reservation at a hotel for the first day or two since you really don't want to be dragging your luggage around town on your first night.
After you arrive at your hotel and shower, get yourself down to the Soi 7/Soi 8 area and you will find that there are always ladies available in Pattaya 24/7. You will indeed be a very handsome man in the eyes of the ladies that haven't been barfined by that time of night. The lights and music will be down a bit in the bars, but there will still be many ladies willing and ready for you. From personal experience, anything warm, friendly and accommodating will fill the bill nicely on that first night in Pattaya, thank you. Later on in your trip you will get the chance to check-out the discos on Walking St which stay open later than 2 am and some of the bars on the sois adjoining Walking St which stay open until dawn some nights. But keep it simple that first night and never doubt that you can find an agreeable Thai girl any hour of the day in Pattaya!

Gentlemen: I missed most of the posts on bar fines in August as I was busy. My understanding from talking to bar owners is as follows:
the bar fine is not a profit making proposition for the bar owners who would prefer that the employees, the catchers, the bar girls (I hate that sexist term), the prostitutes employed by them as catchers, would simply catch drinkers, pull them into their bars and get them in drinking all night so that overheads could be covered and profits made. Let's say Lek's bar has 10 ladies working there and 6 are bar fined early in the night. That means that the remaining 4 have to work hard, dragging in customers and getting them to drink to pay the overheads. Because the bar owners want drinkers, not lecherous guys out for a good time at their expense, they would prefer as little bar fining as possible until very late in the night. They make money on drinkers, not bar finers. For the record, I prefer to bar fine as early as possible; bar owners tolerate this only because it is currently one of the rules of the game.
Go go bars: They too are selling an image, not one I subscribe to but one that many guys subscribe to. The bar fines are higher, just as a bottle of beer is more expensive in more up market places. Up market, of course, does not mean better. When I was in Russia, I preferred drinking on the street than in hotels; quite simply, I preferred the company. There are many people like me in that respect, if not in many others.
I noted some posts about splitting the shift whereby two barfines would be needed to compensate for a bar prostitute's company. Along the same lines, I noted that go go bars increasingly insist that the fine time only begins quite late in the night.
From the point of view of the owners, and probably the women sex workers as well, that probably makes a lot of sense. From the point of view of the sex seeking stroller it probably does not. But owners have to be organized. And the sex tourist only exists to provide income flows. Maybe Ralph Nader or some other consumer rights' advocate could look into this. But in the meantime, I hope this little missive helped.
Further, to slightly digress, I would guess that the "educated" sex monger is a paltry part of the trade. How many of you freaks have had conversations with your male friends about Thailand and have been recounted with newbie stories about taxis, tuk tuk drivers etc ripping them off? I would also guess that many of you have heard Patpong mentioned more often in casual conversation than you have read about it in this great family site of ours.

You are correct that the OFFICIAL PRICE might be 5 baht. That has been the subject of far more shit-slinging on more Thailand forums than nearly any subject I can think of. And until you have an angry baht bus driver climb out on the street after you with a stick I would guess you can keep right on paying that price. The twelve cents difference is not worth the grief to me, sorry.
Some of you may well be able to negotiate better than I with the cab drivers. I seldom go directly to Pattaya actually, preferring to spend a few nights in Bangkok first for old times sake. When I arrive in October there will be a Pattaya hotel driver waiting for me. I prefer the small luxury of having that detail arranged before I arrive. If it happens to cost me ten dollars more I honestly don't mind. I'm not rich or trying to flaunt my money. But when I'm there I prefer to concentrate on enjoying the trip. I stay at clean, newer hotels in the 600-800 baht range which are guest friendly. Those places tend to have DD telephone lines which are a help for me to stay in contact with the world to the extent I wish. That is all I need of a hotel.
My United flight arrives at 1050 PM in October but it seems to vary a bit from trip to trip.

Bus is least expensive (around 100 Bhat), but what's the evening schedule and how much extra time would it take? Guessing it would take at least an extra hour - time that could be important around midnight.

Actually, I never liked Pattaya much before, but I think I just never understood it. This trip, I was chok dee enough to meet a fellow on the plane who was also destination Pattaya. He showed me around on my first night and explained how different it was from BKK (groping is expected here, and the girls are far more playful). He showed me how to get the most out of the A-go-go experience without paying for bar fines or drinks: just wait for a honey to come to you (won't take long), grope, kiss and generally have fun with her, but, when she asks for a drink, if you don't feel like buying her one (you cheap bastard ;)) just point to your drink and say "I just finish this, then go." A lot of times they will still hang around if you've been making them laugh.
The best a-go-go's I've been to are Happy and Electric Blue. Happy has some young hotties with spectacular breasteses. But, I like Electric Blue more because the dual level and two stages are nice, plus the shows (at 10PM and 12PM) are great. Tip: wear shorts (commando style) and get invited to sit in the chair on stage for a great and fully satisfying experience.
I've had some good experiences at the Lucifer disco (definitely better than the overpriced Tony's), and pulled a gem or two off of Beach road.

Driver complained that it's 10 baht for farangs. Stay a night or two in Bangkok and take the bus down in the daytime. I had the same problem as the bus service stops before you arrive and the only option is pay the big baht to pattaya or stay in Bangkok. Check out Soi Cowboy or Nana plaza before your trip to Pattaya. Just a thought. I will be in LOS in early November.

This trip I'm going to try heading to Morchit to catch the late night (yawn) bus down to Rayong (actually going to Chantaburi so I need to change in Rayong anyway) - dunno exactly when it leaves Morchit but I suspect about 2 or so - it's the thru express from Chiang Mai (I could take it to P'ya but it gets in at about 5:30am - since I'm going beyond, it doesn't matter) - stop in P'ya on the way back. Still haven't figured out how to get the bus schedules except from the bus stations...

But yes, I HAVE had a baht bus driver get out of the cab with a bat. Last May I was herding three very drunk TG's out of Xzyte Disco on to a bus and I had one (who I THOUGHT was the soberest of the bunch!) negotiate a price of 80 baht for the four of us to Roof Garden Inn on Thapraya Rd. Unfortunately, she must have confused it with the Rose Inn or something similar on Pratamnak Rd I think it was? So after I described the route to him again in my bad Thai, we got there and he was more than a little pissed when I handed him the 80 baht. He came out of the cab and one of the girls, lucky for me, got in his face and discussed matters. We settled on 40 baht extra for the detour.
That kind of shit CAN HAPPEN and on a dark road at 2:00 am I will be glad to negotiate a new price. Life is too short to shit around with these guys in my opinion. Call it principle if you wish to stick to your guns, but I preferred getting on with things up in the room to taking my chances with a lump and trip to the hospital or Soi 9.

The CM-Rayong bus does not pass Mochit, it by passes BKK in to the East (Nakhon Nayok).
However, there are plenty busses starting their route at Mochit.

Mochit-Pattaya busses from about 04.30-18.30, about every 40 mins. The taxi or busride from the airport to mochit takes about 40 mins. bus B10, taxi B100 (meter)+toll.

Most boring a-go-go: Polo Entertainment. They do shows, but the shows were just girls coming out in various costumes. The girls were not affectionate at all as they just gathered at the end of the stage or were off changing.
In one 'show', the girls came out in these white slips (vestal virgin show?) and did the BKK shuffle for about 15 minutes. The almost exclusively Japanese clientele would walk up and hand a girl a bill (not sure if it was a 20B or a 100B) and the girl would quickly flash her gash at him. Not sure how this is a turn on.

It all looked familiar to me, not too many changes in the interior. 2 girls sat down with me, I immediately knew that the other I would willingly take upstairs and to start with offered her a lady drink. She was young, slim, tall and had a nice face and smile. After some chit-chat I said that I would like to have sex with her, why do we not go upstairs. She said that sorry, the owner was forced to stop that service, there was some trouble with the police. But we could go to a Pattayaland Soi 1 ST apartment, just a 1 or 2 minute walk. I'm just going to summarize some thoughts on Pattaya from my last trip in July. This is in part condensed from a fairly long TR on another site, while there, which I can repost here if there's interest.
First, getting to Pattaya, the Aircon bus is not a bad option. Up side is no taximeter negotiation hassle, much cheaper than any other way (unless you make the mistake of getting on the local bus, save about 10 baht for about twice as long a trip)... down side is long and kind of crowded. Still, after various taxi hassles on other trips, I wouldn't go back to another way.
That said, DON'T be dumb like I did and try to take a huge suitcase on the Skytrain. There may not be a rule against it, but I swear a few Thais were laughing at the stupid farang (ie me).
This was my 5th trip, and I stayed at the Pattaya Centre hotel. I've liked it in the past, but there was some hassle at the front desk about having booked a room for two, and then only having one at check in -- they've always been girl-friendly for me in the past (having booked online) but this could have proved a problem. Out of the 4 priors, I stayed at the Pattaya Centre each time -- except for one at the Residence Garden, which I can't recommend.
As usual, not much to do during the day in Pattaya, but of course that's not why we go there. I've yet to make it to Jomtien beach, for example.
The first evening I did a prowl of some of the major go-go bars. Superbaby and Supergirl were very busy, the others weren't. Misty and the Classroom one, among others. I also walked by FLB Bar and a bar girl I'd seen on two prior trips, named Gate, was outside as the "hello girl." She recognized me faster than I recognized her. I made an excuse, because while she was very sweet (if not a tremendous performer) the first time I saw her, the second time she turned very hardcore in trying to get me to take her on a multiple-day LT. She had just a tiny bit of a tummy on her compared to the Super gals which may turn a few guys off, but was still quite thin compared to farang women. Having now been to all three major Sabai-whatever soapies, I'd say that I liked Sabai Dee the best in terms of the facilities but she was well up there with the best soapie girls I've had in Pattaya.
All three soapies are up to 1600 baht now, but none of the girls on this trip hit me up for a tip in advance of the service which was a big problem on previous trips. With this girl, I intended to tip 500 baht, and discovered that all I had was about 300 in small money and a 1000 baht bill. Since I'd been hustled out of 1000 -- promised in advance no less -- at prior soapies by girls not nearly so nice, I don't feel too bad about it.
Day two was still mainly recovering from jet lag, hanging out at the hotel pool, and finding a dive shop for my trip on day 3. I should also note that I was not able to find dostinex/cabergoline at any of the pharmacies in Pattaya -- it's a legal drug in the US at least but seems to be unknown there, and a good performance enhancer. Ended up going with Aquanauts dive, and had a good time with them the next day.
In any case after dinner, I decided to head off to Soi 6/Yodsak. I'd never been, and have been curious about things I'd heard about the short-time paradise up there. I was also a bit apprehensive about how many Katoeys I've heard about up there.
Strolled along the street in the early evening, and I must say that they are terribly agressive up there. Also not many good looking girls, although a few I wish I'd stopped for. I was overwhelmed enough that I headed instead for Sabai Dee, and ended up picking #209. She was another nicely chesty one. The photo of her -- in the photo album now "Chelly" -- does not do her justice in that respect. Service was good, though a bit mechanical and not nearly as sweet as the one from Sunday night at Sabai Room; negotiated a 1k tip out of me in return for a second round.

Havana Moon further gently scolded me for taking the expensive go-go bar ST sex option. He wrote that at Soi 6 (Yodsak that must be) I can have double fun for the same price. Yes, in fact Soi Yodsak was in my list of things to do in Pattaya. Thank you regular contributors in this great Forum who have in detail described the Yodsak scene and its "rules". I was just so eager on my first night to get a fresh glimpse of the famous Pattaya go-go bar scene that money did not matter. Did I say money ? In my western European home country even the ST price 1800,- that I paid at go-go bar Athena would be a bargain.
In fact today I checked out Soi Yodsak. In the afternoon I was at the movies at Big C's 3rd floor SF multiflex. For a movie lover like me it is great that they have one in this city. Do not make the same mistake as me of going to see Headless Hero 2, a Thai film with English subtitles. The local youngsters seemed to like this slapstick comedy. I did not laugh one time. But those in town go and see Terminal and Bourne Supremacy if you have not seem them already - especially the latter is a masterfully made modern thriller.
Back to Soi Yodsak: around 3 pm I walked the 3 minutes it takes from Big C to get there. Bars left and right, lots of smiling girls shouting invitingly to me and almost grabbing me by the hand to get me to step in their bar. What the heck, all the bars look about the same and every one of them seems to have more or less good looking young girls ready for service. I did not walk too long and chose randomly one of the bars on the right side, there were about 10 girls sitting outside.
It turned out that the bar is "Foxy's Bar". "Welcome to enjoy with us. Sexy lady, lovely girls take care of you" it read in the calling card that I was giving when I left the place about an hour later. They are open from 2 pm to 2 am.

I´m glad to hear you had a good experience on Soi Six, yes it´s same, same as Soi Yodisak. If you still are in Pattaya, I will recommend the very best ST- bar on that street. It´s Rubys, on the right if you´r coming from Second Rd. The expats, living in Pattaya says the same. Two- three cuties and absolutely the cleanest and niciest bar. The rooms are suberp and I have never heard that they asked for more than 500.
I have also tried "Music 4 you" bar but they had depressing rooms where one lady had to remove her clothes before entring and the shower were outside and shared with the other rooms.
I tried also King Kong wich I heard a lot about in this board, but I was not satisfied with the ladies attitude and atmosphere in the bar so I went away without going upstairs.
Then I must recommend a very nice aGoGo, perfect in the afternoons. It´s Nevada on Soi Photo or Post Office or Soi 13/2. Same, same but different names. In the beginning of the street from Beach Rd on the left side. They have about 5- 8 beatiful gals dancing all nude, but they want 1000 B for ST and 500 barfine or about 350 upstairs in their room which was Ok, but not moore. I picked up Am # 74 (see photosection) ones upstairs and ones in my hotel. I prefer the second round.
There is one more "must to go" in Pattaya and that is Welcome Inn on Soi 3, in the middle to the left from Beach Rd. You walk into the bar on daytime because they are only open between 10- 11 am to 9- 10 pm. There are only freelancers and they want 500- 700 B plus you have to pay about 250 in the bar for a nice room. They also have a gardenrestaurant outside for the hotelguest and mongerers. I loved to sit there and have my breakfast around 11- 12 and checking if there was something who made me horny. It´s about 20 ladies and some are absolutely OK for a quick fuck.

I had gone to see the movie "Police Story 5" at the Big C multiplex, the day's first show at 11.50. It did not have English subtitles but what the heck. Which Jackie Chan movie needs them ? I do not think that I need to go into details of what the room looked like and what always happens with the soap massage thing. And that after the massage you go to the bed and you do the sex thing. All of this has been described in this forum in detail before. All in all after about 70 minutes after the girl and I had entered the room we were through. I gave the girl a 300,- tip, kissed her goodbye and went to a Big C restourant to have lunch. I was happy and relaxed. This was a good start for the day.
It is amazing how straightforward, honest and natural all of this is. Businesslike but polite. You do not get ripped off, you are well treated all along the way. The girls and staff are astonishingly glad to see you and there are smiles everywhere. You feel yourself 100% safe, nothing get stolen ever. And when you leave they ask you to come back soon. David - there is "bed-toilet-shower" (which can be had for 200B and up) and then there's "bed-AC-toilet-hot water shower" which goes for 500 ($12.50) and up - Sawasdee has better rates than most others - maybe 400B. Better locations get higher prices.
I just sleep there - the cheap seats leave more money for "other things" Some might refer to this as "going native". my Thai isn't good enough to really "go native" though

After hanging out here for 14 months one thing is for sure is the quality of most of the gogos go up and down like a yoyo. Of course each gogo is entitled to have a bad day as we all do. I usually go out 2-3 times a week to check them out. I've listed a the gogo's that I frequent the most because they fullfill my criterias of what makes a good gogo.
A) Reasonable prices for the ladies barfnes/associated LT prices, the ladies drinks and my drinks.
B) Quality service from barfined ladies, are they good in the sack, do the ladies barfned cause problems(ie do they pull runners after agreeing to LT, want to borrow money to fix dead buffalo, get drunk to the point they can't perfom).
C) Customer service from the staff (are they prompt with drinks, do they pad my bill, will the mamasan/manager fix a probelm, will I be hounded for drinks etc). The management is the key to a good gogo, is the manager, mamasan and the owner. If they don't give a shit neither will the girls.
D) Most important fun, will I have fun, will I get bored , is the management/staff and girl I barfine fun, has the gogo keep my intrest over the past great year. I've seen all of the shows a dozen times, they don't impress me anymore.
Favorites in no particular order.

Ladies drinks are 95baht, ladies cocktail are 150, its posted on the wall in big red letters, If you purchase a ladies cocktail the server will double check with you to ensure you had ordered a cocktail and not a drink . Tiger/heinekin is 75 during happy hour from 3-6pm rising to 95 after happy hour. The barfine is 600baht, the girls will ask for 1500-2000 baht LT but of course this is negotiable. I know I can go to the managers and Cookie the mamasan with any problems I have and they will sort the probelm out. Pretty good line up of girls. My favorite daytime gogo
The Sea: George the mamasan is probably the best mamasan in Pattaya. Pretty good line up of girls. I've taken more ladies from this bar over the last 6 months than any other, I've never had a problem, they don't push for ladies drinks, they aren't greedy, all good performers. When I pay ther bar a couple of days in advance and I tell them to meet me in the bar or at MK's at 8pm they are always, I mean always on time, no runners either, no pay bar for my freind and tip her crap/scam. Hooties: Good happy hour prices, great fun girls, have always had above average performances from the ladies, no pressure to buy ladies drinks. Took one lady home after drinking most of the nite, well she got sick, she manged to puke in the toilet everytime, not one drop on the floor or bedsheets. I told her not to worry about Boomsing, we went to sleep. Well she slept 2 hours, got up took a shower, downed half a big bottle of mouth wash, and proceeded fuck/blow me senseless, what a trooper.

I will be in/around Pattaya mid Oct. too. Siam Bayview can by no stretch of the imagination be called a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, luxury and girl-friendly do not go together in Pattaya.
I usually use the Hard Rock (3-4 star with a great pool) or the Marriott(4 star with great location but the rooms are very tired). I have never had a problem with girls at either but other posters will say otherwise.
I chatted on MSN with a poster yesterday who had just checked in to the Hard Rock. He asked reception about guests. They said no problem.
Hard Rock would be my first pick as a reasonable hotel to take girls, but I never consider a hotel less than 4 star. The Royal Cliff is prob the best hotel in PYX but does not like visitors! Novotel and Sheraton are both opening in the area soon, thank God, but until then, I'll make do with Hard Rock and Marriott.

Apex Buffet: This was pure shit this morning and I am still sick from it. They have seen the last of me.
