I then installed a codec pack called nimo433 (ex kazaa), it now works perfectly. There is definitely sound, lots of sound.

Please don't ask me to explain codecs, I only understand we need them to play movies in media player.

I searched the internet for "codecs" and downloaded the software pack for XP.

It's an executable file, called nimo433.exe, run it and it installs a batch of codecs.

The problem I ran into with SB's torrent is that there are lack of seeds. BT really shines when there are more people seeding. Since I have my PC on for nearly 24/7. I will seed the files however long it may need. My BT will only be down when:

1) I decided I need to have a long session of World of Warcraft, and need all the horse power I need

2) PC crashed and I am not at home

PS: I am a long user of BitTorrent (BT), so, if anyone need help regarding BT or SB's video files, feel free to message me, I won't guarantee I will answer immediately, but will do ASAP. Partly being my GF is starting to get suspicious about this site, lucky for me Jackson changed the URL :)

That nimo codec package does not play a intel codec that I discovered I needed for a particular movie i had on my computer.

I would recomend the DviX codec pack that is always being updated for download and does carry that particular codec i needed.

Anyone that has a problem watching or hearing any movie can go to the Fvix homepage as i posted before and download it there. It will take care of all your problems.

Also, yes I am able to get the last movie off of Bit Comet and it iw working just fine.

I am very glad to see that SB is posting his movies using another method then repeted single jpeg post on the forum. It is really great.

Codec Problems: Don't use Windows own Media Player! Get VLC! VLC is open source and will play ANYTHING! http://www.videolan.org

Tracker Problems (when leaching): Try it again. Some seeds are multitracker and will work sooner or later. Some clients reconnect automatically, some you have to reconnect manually.

Acctually I would much rather see the movies, then see the pictures.

Not only does it add room for others to post, but I think others would rather watch the movies instead of look at the pictures. Besides the quality of the movies is much better then the quality of the pictures and since the pictures were taken from the movie, I would prefer to see the movie instead of a picture.

As to being internet challanged. Its not too difficult to read the instructions on how the program works. Just look in the help tab. Actually you dont even have to do that, in order to get it to work.

Personaly I hope SB is right now making and editing more movies for us to share. Cant wait to see aonther one of the masterpeices. :)I agree. Perhaps SB can placate both camps in this argument by posting a couple of stills from each video as a teaser and preview of the full video. Then those who like the forum for still photos get what they want without the old flood, and those of us who love SBs very nice videos can enjoy them as well.

Running Mac OSX 10.3.9

Installed two BT clients: BitTorrent OSX and Tomato Torrent.

Tried "Kumming beauty" and "Not so eager" torrent files.

Results the same with both clients and both torrents:

"Problem connecting to tracker <urlopen error unknown url type: udp>"

Still true after letting them run for some time.

Does anyone have this working on OSX?

Update: Went to PirateBay.org checked a couple of other torrent files and they downloaded just fine using BitTorrent OSX. Is there something about SB's torrent files that is non-standard or specific to a particular BT client?As one nice member PM'ed me, use BitComet (www.bitcomet.com) instead of BitTorrent. BitComet works perfectly without any need to tweak it to make it work with SB's stuff. BitTorrent might work for some members with expertise, but for the rest of us, BitComet is the right tool.

For watching SB's stuff, use the VideoLan media player: www.videolan.org. It works great, and has no problem with SB's files.

Azureus is a very comprehensive client (so comprehensive in fact that they have extended the bittorrent protocol to include trackerless torrents as well as various other cool things).

It hasn't failed on anything I have tried it with - ever (unless there is a fault in the tracker, or, it is password protected or something).

Further, it is written in Java, so should run on anything including OSX, Windows, Linux... you name it. Highly recommended..

I recommend that you adjust the settings within these types of software to ensure that your bittorrent program is allowed to communicate outward, and that incoming connections are allowed on the appropriate incoming ports (tcp 6881-6889).

Furthermore, you may not know that unlike most traffic systems, bittorent becomes faster the more popular a downloaded file is.... wouldn't it be nice if the same applied to Bangkok traffic! The point is - get downloading - it is better for all of us.

The avi file is just too big. 2.9 gigabytes is just too large, torrent or not. I'm slowly getting the hang of all this video editing, saving in various formats, and masking. Why don't you try using a good compression method used widely on the net? One of them is DivX. If you need the tools and tutorial to make them, feel free to message me.

DivX are far more superior than mpeg (I am assuming you used mpeg-1), in terms of size and quality. Another codec I would suggest would be Xvid (better than DivX, but requires more work, relatively).

Keep the videos coming (no pun intended).

note for those confused by the .torrent files for the movies: bittorrent is a peer to peer protocol/software used by individuals to share files with others without having to resort to fronting a huge amount of bandwith. a bittorrent client uses a .torrent file to find others sharing the same file and downloads the info from those others, while uploading any data that you have recieved to anyone else who has received it. basically, it allows you to download a file while helping to distribute it to others at the same time. its kinda complicated for the filesharing noob, but check out the following for help.

s times, i got 150+ kb/s on highly seeded files, and thats the maximum speed of my adsl modem.

unless you are refering to the 2 files (sb's first 2) that i am seeding, then it might be slow. adsl upload speed is capped at 50k :(

torrent is going on strong. currently as of 24 aug 830pm (shanghai time) it's 30 seeders and 24 peers. downloaded in less than 30 mins and current upload speed between 25-30kb/s.

you really should think about converting it to mpeg4, xvid, or divx. file size would be much smaller and no loss in quality.

you might want to check out that wikipedia section for bittorrent. to get optimal d/l speeds, you do need to tweak the settings of your bittorrent client, depending on your comp and type of broadband connection. a common mistake is to set your upload to unlimited bandwidth. this setting can choke your connection and prevent it from d/ling any more than a trickle. depending on your connection, set your upload bandwidth to 12k-30k, depending if you have dsl or cable. if that doesnt help, check the wikipedia section, or pm me.

edit: doh. i guess #2001 was refering to that megaupload.com site that was hideously slow. oh well, i hope that info helped somebody.

After you unzip the zipped file, know what directory you stored it.

Go to Bitcomet's "open" button and find the your unzipped file that ends with .mpg or .avi

Select the file and click ok in the next menu.

Now you see the mpg file in your bitcomet program.

Highlight the file with a right click of your mouse over the file name and Select "priority" and make it "high" and then hit start.

Now watch the download for couple of hours until your eyes get fuzzzy or come back a day later to see the progress.

After the download, you now have the full program which will be 200 meg+

Double click this file and whatever program does your mpg files will start up the video.

I clicked on the file and my WinDVD player pick it up and started playing it. Run your computer's DVD software program (other than WMP) and see it that will work.

I give up on Bittorrent and turn to BitComet.

In the post from David Xyyzy 1 I follow the link to the BitComet website. I download the BitComet and then follow the instructions in Bill Lee's recent post. After a couple of hours, I got SB's video clips playing on my computer.

Cisco has developed custom routers that can filter and forward anything at the packet level - which is freaking amazing. hello bitcomet experts,

i couple of weeks ago i've asked you guys for instructions on how to download sb's bitcomet files. as instructed by bill lee [for which many thanks] i've taken the steps but when i click on make connection it doesn't do any download or whatsoever.

after you unzip the zipped file, know what directory you stored it.

go to bitcomet's "open" button and find the your unzipped file that ends with .mpg or .avi

select the file and click ok in the next menu.

now you see the mpg file in your bitcomet program.

highlight the file with a right click of your mouse over the file name and select "priority" and make it "high" and then hit start.

now watch the download for couple of hours until your eyes get fuzzzy or come back a day later to see the progress.

after the download, you now have the full program which will be 200 meg+

double click this file and whatever program does your mpg files will start up the video.

well. that's how i do it with bitcomet. did this help?

Bitcomet has nothing to do with playing the downloaded movie file. Depending on the type of files (ie. mpg, mov, avi), your computer should be able to play it whether it will be Windows Media Player, Quickplayer, real player and any other media player you have in your computer already.

Just double click on the file, providing it's not a zip file but a media file, and your media player should take over. If it's a zip file, then unzip to play it.

Hello everyone,

I have been reading this forum for many months and enjoy all the posts from Sugar Baba. But, I never have been able to download any of his torrent files. The message I get always says: "Problem connecting to tracker - <urlopen error unknown url type: udp>". Does anyone know what that means? It appears that downloading from P2P can be restricted by your system aministrator (if downloading via the company)

- Secondly, the downloading will not be successfull when there are no seedings of the file. This is due to the fact that either the previous persons have deleted the seeding file after downloading or because their computer is shut down. The more popular the file, the more seedings should be available.

- After the download you should find the downloaded file, which is just a normal media player file, in the tree structure of the BitComet application. So don't go to the previous torrent file, that file is only for initiating the download.

Bitcomet has nothing to do with playing the downloaded movie file. Depending on the type of files (ie. mpg, mov, avi), your computer should be able to play it whether it will be Windows Media Player, Quickplayer, real player and any other media player you have in your computer already.

Just double click on the file, providing it's not a zip file but a media file, and your media player should take over. If it's a zip file, then unzip to play it.

So how did you overcome your problem?

something might not be working with azureus, the seeds and peers columns are displaying zero's, the tracker status says ok in every case, and the up speed is also zero. additionally, the two new files offered by sb are not downloading. i was able to successfully get the zip files but the extracted torrents are not downloading once opened in azureus. this is not consistent with my prior experience downloading these files. either no one is attempting to download these files or i, alone, am having an issue.

The only advantage I can see to compressing mpeg files is that you could get multiple video files into a single zip file. They will not really compress in size though. For example, SB's Banshee file compressed only 4% when I tried putting it into a zip file.

You have obviously some misconceptions about compressions. Image data can usually not compressed into ZIP files. You need a video compressor.

You can i.e. compress a MPEG file into a Xvid codec AVI file. The next question will be what software to use? Sure, use AutoGK

An additional way the compress video is to compress the frame size. DVD format may use 720 x 576px (PAL TV format is 768x576px). A VCD uses typically 352 x 288px. That would bring 1 hour Video down from 4Gb to 0.6Gb or so.

But why not check one of the zillions of video sites for help? This is a sex site and which all blood in the penis it's hard to keep the brain working.
