I've started this new thread to provide a centralized location to catalog the Forum's best travel reports. Here's the idea:

If you have written one or several detailed travel reports, or if you know of such reports, then please post the link here.

You may also include a short summary of the nature of the report.

A sample report would be something like this:

It might be pointed out:

1) It's kinda hard to rank the venues in terms of beauty, because one man's meat is another man's poison.
2) You can get better value from freelancer ST, *but* you don't get the guarantee of performance from these massage venues. Besides it feels nice to be pampered.
3) Bargain hard and don't act like a newbie, (e.g but that's so cheap compared to Los Angeles/London/Frankfurt!!!) or all of us will get screwed. But tip if it was awesome - so all other girls will want to get better and earn their tip.
4) Read the forum for updates since venues close/get raided/get lousy managers, etc.
5) Please post all comments/corrections in Massage Parlor thread.
6) If you enjoyed the information, please post your experiences. We all benefit from sharing, whether it was a good or bad experience.
7) Above guide was compiled from many sources, so I thank everyone whose contributions I used as source material.
8) I didn't get to visit all of them so can't really vouch for the correctness of information.

Nice overview of the range of options in Bangkok in brief form.

Soi numbers in his report are side roads off Sukumvit which are even-numbered on the south side, odd-numbered on the north side, starting with "Soi Zero" at the highway overpass where Sukumvit starts, Soi 2 is JW Marriottt, and rising as you head east (away from old Bangkok). The Sky Train runs above Sukumvit, and you can save steps (and time) with it until it stops running at about 11pm.

NEP (Nana Entertainment Plaza) is at Sukhumvit Soi 4. Soi Cowboy is just north of the northeast corner of Sukumvit and Asok (at Sky Train Asok and MTS Sukumvit stops).

After going to Nana Hotel for 10 years, they started putting me in the worst rooms or overpriced ones. After I gave the old bell hop 100 bht for carrying two bags he says "cannot buy beer with that". Now I pretend I am British and never stay at the same place and they never bother me for tips. The Brits/Euros have the right idea. I am glad that they didn't let Thailand get like the the Americans turned Brazil. Bangkok Health Spa near Nana Hotel allowed their staff to degenerate into obnoxious lazy little trollups. I watched them snarl, shun and scorn many potential walk-in customers away while I got the worst foot massage of my life. The owner needs to clean house. Nana drivers will take you to Atami massage and tell you whatever one you asked for was closed. This is so they can get their "commission" that is passed on to you at with higher rates. The drivers might say nasty stuff to your tart-du-jour. Restaurants pull stuff like charging you 500bht for a plate of stir fried veg's that you ask to go with the tank caught red snapper that you are paying 200bht for. Always ask how much before you start eating it.

The reason that the Chinese, Nepalese, and Indian run business do so good over there is becasue they treat the customers right. Thais have and always will have a disdain for foreigners. We are nothing more than cash cows to them.

Its a great attempt although made difficult by some Thai sounds not existing in English (particularly Thai vowels sounds are different to English vowel sounds). There are a few errors. Perhaps I will find time shortly to send the Author some corrections and an attempted pronunciation guide.

Sometime back Daddy came up with a great language file, and he has since improved it. I'm posting here as he was unable to attach the file, along with his original message to all.


I have received a great deal of PM’s from members over the last several weeks requesting copies of my simple Thai language phrase list, and have advised all who are interested that I was working on a much more accurate revised list which would include proper syntax and tone marks as well as a few more helpful phrases.

Lately, I’ve been corresponding daily by Skype Internet phone with a native Thai speaker who is also a professor at a University in Bangkok. She’s coming to the U.S. soon to study for her doctorate at Penn State. I’m helping her with her English skills and she’s helping me with Thai. This young lady has patiently reviewed every phrase with me again and again for proper pronunciation and tone marks, (except, of course, for the pornographic phrases which I disguised as something similar, as I was much too embarrassed to tell her about them), so that I am now confident that each of these phrases will be understood by the natives if spoken properly.

Well, she's cute, but calling her a 10/10 on looks is way overboard. At least 4 of the freelancers I went with in my December trip were at least as attractive, including one from the Biergarten, two from the Nana parking lot, and one from Beach Road in Pattaya. IMHO, they were all between 8-9 on looks overall. And none of them cost me more than 1500 baht. I'd give Lisa's looks an 8.

My visits to Thonglor II have been good so far and although the actual girls don't seem to be precisely the same as their pics, I find the the girls their are overall very attractive in face and figure, where as when I looked at the available line up at Angels previously I was a little disappointed.
Of course its always the old problem. The hot girls at Angels would have been booked already.
