Did the Thais not issue a tsunami warning in Puhket and other areas to "Save Face...?"

From the BBC

Thais probe missing wave warning

Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has pledged an investigation to find out why early warnings were not issued ahead of Sunday's deadly tsunami.

Thailand's death toll currently stands at 4,812, with just over half of the dead being foreign tourists, but Mr. Thaksin warned it could reach 8,000.

Specialist DNA forensic teams from at least 12 states have now arrived in Thailand to help identify the dead.

But they are warning it could be a long and distressing process.

"There must be an investigation of the whole incident, how it happened, when it happened and why early warnings could not have been issued," Mr. Thaksin said in his weekly radio address on Saturday.

Mr. Thaksin's remarks follow allegations made by an unnamed member of the Thai meteorological department this week that a tsunami alert was not issued for fear of hurting the country's important tourism industry in case it turned out to be a false alarm.

None of the countries affected by the tsunami issued a warning.

Mr. Thaksin said he had appointed a quake and tsunami expert, Samith Dhammasaroj, to establish an early warning system for all natural disasters.

"Some might say we are putting up fences after the cows have gone," he said. "But there are still some cows left and there will be more cows coming and we need to have a strong fence," he said.

The BBC's Dominic Hughes, on the Thai island of Phuket, says that in some places the devastation has been complete - remote coastal fishing villages have been entirely wiped out.

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking of hanging up my hat on the WSG forum. I want to express my sincere appreciation for all those that took the time to answer my questions and help steer me around the "newbie" stumbling blocks.

I learned a lot of excellent factual information from many of your responses on hotels and suchwhat. I even got excellent help for such trivial items as where I might find some steel tubing. :)

I do hope I have repaid you all somehow by the full heartfelt documentation of my last year in Bangkok and the year leading up to my abrupt departure to the City of Angels.

To all those that sent me PMs of encouragement and appreciation I thank you the most. You have been my audience, but it is time for me to stop writing for an audience and write for myself.

I began writing almost five years ago and at that time I had an audience of one girl on ICQ instant messenger. I had at that time an audience of one. I became addicted to meeting girls on ICQ and within about two years time I had an audience of 400 female readers that I sent my writings to each day.

They inspired me and they gave me encouragement and I somehow loved each and every one of them for there attention. They were all good girls, even the bad ones.

My quest of writing and meeting women lead me to travel the world to visit my readers and pick their brains and sometimes their pussies. This endeavor is also how I met my last girlfriend. At the end of it all, it is because of my quest to become a writer and my quest to meet women that I am where I am at this point in my life. I consider myself a most lucky mutha fucka. Thank you very much.

You fellas on WSG have been my first male audience and admittedly my toughest. For your attentions I thank you with utmost sincerity. But the time has come for a transition. I can no longer write for an audience. I must write for myself.

I never realized my development would come to this realization but it has. In these last few days I have seen my posting on WSG as just another vice. As you all know, I've got too many vices already. I don't need to be addicted to an audience anymore.

It seems to me that it is now time for me to become addicted to my computer and a little room that I will shut myself inside of for hours, if not days at a time.

I feel that is what is necessary to accomplish what I want to do.

My sincere best wishes to you all!

Posterlion is out. Khorb Khun Ma Khrup

Wish you the best and I hope your vices will be under control because to waste talent is to waste it all.

4 ways to waste your creative gift:

1. Addictions: alcohol, drugs, ICQ, WSG, over-eating juicy pussy, etc.
2. Lack of discipline
3. Becoming crazy
4. Playing crazy

For sure this forum is not your best audience as it offers little constructive feedback to what you are doing and fellow fuckers are more into pussy hunting than reading. Thanks for your honesty, you have been one of the few in here to tell it like it is even at the risk of being criticized.

Good addiction: to write, write, write and write like there is no tomorrow. And remember that critics come and go but ideas last forever.

You picked a great place to write. Yeah, you are a "lucky mutha fucka." Best of luck. Be safe and stay real.

Please do let us know when the book is published and my best wishes on your venture. I do hope that someday I get to meet up with you, even if it for just a beer.

Poster, you're quite right that WSG can become a way of wasting your time and talents, but writing for an audience is also a key way of honing those talents, since, in the end, even if you're writing to satisfy yourself (as you should) you are also writing to be read by others. Successful authors keep both aspects in their thoughts, but since no writer can please everyone, pleasing yourself generally is the best way to go, providing you're a tough enough critic of your own work. Even so, a lot of authors also show their work to others for critique before finalizing and/or publishing them -- I can't even guess how many manuscripts I've read over the years before publication. (I've got two on my desk right now.)

Writers work in different ways, and some stoke their work by feeding off the energy and response, positive or negative, of an audience. I've personally always been a solitary type, which is why I occasionally hide away by myself to work. I truly do think LOS is a great place for that -- I got a ton done during my last long trip there, which was designed to be a writing retreat. I used the reports I posted on WSG as a way of getting that stuff out of my system, since mongering, LOS and TGs wasn't the subject I was working on. But discipline is the key -- writers can write anywhere and everywhere if they've got that.

Whatever works for you is what you should do, but there's no real formula -- the question is whether you use your postings on WSG (or wherever) as grist for the mill, as a way of getting quick feedback, or as a distraction from your real work.

I've appreciated your contributions, admired your ability to go your own way no matter what, and loved having another voice here that doesn't think strictly in terms of black and white, and I wish you the best regardless of what you choose to do.

JuiceSpike,

I beg to differ. It is not possible to waste one's time and talent indulging in too much pussy. It is our biological imperative - i.e. what we men were put here on the planet to do.

Personally, I believe that time spent in pursuit of anything OTHER than pussy is wasteful.

I am attempting to develop a scientific theory to mongering.
Here is my first draft.

It is the summation of the amount of pleasure and the amount of beauty over a given period of time divided by a measure of commitment times the cost.

I apologize if someone posted this before since this happened in October 2004. Warning, this guy in Thailand had unprotected sex with over 400 girls knowing he had the virus. He had a sexual campaign to spread it. They better lock him up until he dies.

Very inconsiderate to other monger and especially to the girls. What a fu….. asshole.

(P+B)T / (Cfactor)CostSo if I enjoy myself with a very ugly girl for three hours, show very low commitment and pay 1200 THB, your formula, (9+1)3/(2)1200, produces a score of 0.0125.

Or if P+B are scored out of 100, then a score of 0.125.

Interesting.

Coma Boy thanks for using my Theorem

As for the Formula (P+B)T / (Cfactor) Cost
I have given the parameters some thought

Pleasure is rated on a 1-5

Beauty is rated on a 1-10

Time 1 to 2 hours (does anyone need more than 2 hours of sex)

Commitment Factor is rated 1 to 2 (decimal points accepted)

Cost adding a decimal point to Baht in Thousands 1.200THB

I welcome any input on this formula as it is open to the community because something’s got to work here.

Hello,

I'm knew on this forum, and I envoy reding your post.

I'm going in Thailand for 10 days and stay by a friend how lives there with his family.

I want to try girls for long time so I was thinking of renting a room from time to time in a hotel. Do I need to take the room first or girl will have no probleme to see me renting a room just for having good time with them?

Are every hotel accepting you with girls?

And if I take 3 days outside bagkok wath will you recommand for good sex and good visit?

Thanks for your advice

I think your formula would be easier to use if everything was scaled from one to ten. You could always add a multiplying/dividing factor of 100 or 1000 to make the final result a more managable number.

Not exactly sure what the commitment factor means and how to rate it.

Plus, is time measured by time spent with the girl, or just time having sex?

Okay, so one hour of bad sex with a very hot chick for 5000 Baht:

(1+10)1/(1.5)5= 1.47

The quest is to find the most beautiful woman delivering the utmost pleasure incurring the least amount of expense and maintenance over given time.

The Monger’s Soul mate is all that including unconditional love and exclusivity (thus taking one out of the game)

The Monger’s Pipe Dream is a Bi-sexual Soul Mate that includes you exclusively in all sexual activities and doesn’t show degradation from bearing children and doesn’t age.

gents,

maybe i've watched one too many japanese xxx videos, but just curious if anyone has been fairly successful in getting tgs to take cif and/or jerk&shoot-in-mouth. from reading the boards, looks like straight cim is standard at places like [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900), sol & other bj bars. anyone have cif lessons learned to pass on to a friend-in-need?

might be answering my own question here, but i'm assuming that a tg would have to either be a straight-up gutter whoooore or very green to the biz in order to blow in her face (with or without permission). or, like some have suggested regarding the 'anal question'... if the price is right, will a tg 'smile for the camera'?

i almost pulled off a cif in a s/t room at baccara (circa. 2002), but a wardrobe malfunction tripped me up and i had to settle for the mark of zorro across the her boobies.

The Poonie Formula is all about the quality of the partner and the sex.

We got a 1-10 on beauty a 1-10 on pleasure.

I want put to limits on time as to not distort the equation.

The commitment factor is based on maintenance and freedom.

I want to put limits on Cfactor as to not distort the equation after all these two are multiplying factors.

What do I need to say about the cost.

Tonight I had one of my regular sweeties.

She is a 8 and delivered a 7 on pleasure (hey i am hard to please)

The primordial act lasted 1 hour (who’s keeping time anyways)

Commitment factor of .8 and 1150THB

(8+7)1/(.8)1.150=16.3 that’s a pretty high score

Thai Immigration introduces new TM arrival/departure card

BANGKOK: -- The Immigration Bureau has just introduced a new type of arrival/departure card. It is also known as the the TM6 card that all passengers have to fill in on arrival and departure at Thai airports and border check points.

The new arrival/departure card is in a different format, sized as a bank slip, apparently ready for optical reading.

Some news to the new TM card:

1. Bigger space to write your address in Thailand. The old TM card had very limited space to write the address.

2. Visa number only. The old TM card had entries for date and place of the visa issued. Now you have to enter the visa number only. One has to becareful here when arriving on a re-entry permit, as the issue and expiry date are essential.

3. The new card has an entry for "Yearly income" on the back of the arrival part of the card:

a) under 20,000 US$
20,000 - 40,000 US$
c) 40,001 - 60,000 US$
d) 60,001 - 80,000 US$
e) 80,000 and over
f) No income

It is not confirmed if this new information is meant for immigration or just for TAT statistic purpose.

4. On the back of the new TM card there is also a new field "Next city/Port of disembarkation".

Yeah, filled out one of the new forms last week after a visa run. The new one is much easier to complete and requires a lot less information.

I didn't provide them with my income details as that really is none of their business.

And, unless I slept through it, they don't as yet have a new Michael Gartner video for the new card on incoming international TG flights.

Juice Spike,

'It is not confirmed if this new information is meant for immigration or just for TAT statistic purpose'

Given the fact that freeloaders are not wanted here (the ones that head for their embassy after they burned the B2,000 they had on them), it is quite obvious that statistics are not the only reason for the new card.
I guess the card is easy for machine reading (like 'new' pasports) and comparing to other TM cards you fill out in the future as well - Big Brother is everywhere.

On my flight they ran out of old ones, without having the new ones handy. Same-same on Domino's flight.
Make sure YOU get one, it saves you heaps of time at the immigrtation desk!

i've never taken v but i assume if you took one and then had to take a [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140)-test you'd have a lot of difficulty aiming at the cup.

i've also passed [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) tests with plenty of pot inside me, just stay off the yaba.

Plenty of farangs on the BTS - a big change from 5 years ago! Maybe the temporary closure of the subway or English-teaching jobs causes this?

Three kinds of farangs in Bangkok:

c) Those know-it-alls that are just being themselves (younger farangs).

Well, when I was in Samui from Feb 7-11, it was completely packed. Booking around a month in advance (which was 2-3 weeks after the Tsunami) I could not get a room anywhere in Chaweng or Lamai for less than around $120 a night for an average place, and $200/nt in an upscale place. As a result, I ended up in a place in Maenam at a place called the Amarin Victoria for $55/night. Some folks I spoke to who waited to the last minute to arrange hotels had to sleep on the beach - however, this WAS the week of Chinese New Year, and at that time, the general impression was that Phuket was not yet recovered enough - causing many folks to shift their plans from Phuket to Samui that month (I think that this situation is starting to alleviate itself).

The hotel itself was pretty nice, but NOT GF (500 baht joiner fee - despite my having booked a double) and Maenam is WAY out of the way in terms of getting a taxi to go to/from there at night - They will typically rip you off for 300 baht each way to get a cab from Chaweng to Maenam after around 6PM when the songtaos stop running their normal routes. So, that basically added over 1000 baht to the cost of getting a lady from Chaweng to stay with me in my room at the Amarin Victoria in Maenam. Still, a comparable place in Chaweng would have set me back at least 2500, perhaps 3000 baht per night more during the time I was there.

A couple of years ago I read the book after I met the writer at the Voodoo bar in Nana. He was friends with a girl I was fucking in that bar. According to the girl, she would not go with him because she though he was arrogant-asshole. She also told me that he was part owner of the bar but she still refused to go with him. I never asked her why she thought he was an asshole...:D

I thought the book was basically OK. The story does serve as a warning to newbies or just plain dumb guys who think they have discovered the girl of their dreams in a Thai hooker or guys that do not understand the culture of bar girls well. I read about half of the book got bored and then read the last 20 pages and felt I did not miss anything. I like the ending.

Although the story is believable life is always stranger than fiction.

Duniawala,

funny that you ask. I just translated the website you ask for today.
Fly for Thai requested a translation mid december. I was too busy in the meantime but did not forget about it so here it comes.

This is the link to the Bahamast website:

1.) 2 x suite no. 4
2.) 1 x suite no. 3
3.) 3 bottles of Chivas Regal
4.) 10% discount on food and drinks

Package 100.000 baht
1.) 3 x suite no. 5
2.) 2 x suite no. 4
3.) 10 bottles of Chivas Regal
4.) 10% discount on food and drinks

conditions

There is not much additional info on the website, except that suites contain a sauna, fitness room and karaoke.
Furthermore the girls do a fashion show each tuesday, thursday and saturday.

Hope it helps

Thanks Traveler,

Doesn't look like my idea of a good time. Well, it looks like it would be a great time if it was located in my neighborhood. But with all the entertainment options in Bangkok, I think I'll visit the better known locations this trip. Then again someone should do a walkthrough, if for no other reason then to see how they treat a farang. And to see if the actual girls equal the quality of the girls in the pics.

That reminds me. I'll be in Thailand from April 10-19. I hope to meet some of my fellow WSG members for a beer or two while I'm there.

Final thought: Karaoke is good for people that like to sing. But it's bad for people that like music.

Fly safe.

Duniawala,

I missed the part of your crashed hd before.

Hds don't crash, crashes are made up by retailers to sell more hds!
Hds just don't function properly sometimes.
A very 'cool' way to get hds going again is to pack them well (airtight) in a plastic bag and putting them in the freezer overnight.
Next morning put the ice-cold drive in your puter and and I wanna bet a penny that it runs!
Now you know why you should N-E-V-E-R sell or give a 'crashed' hd to anyone...:(

Does anyone happen to know the price of malarone (the anti-malaria tablets) in Bangkok or Pattaya? I’d like to buy some but they cost a fortune in Farangland so I wonder if they are cheaper in Thailand.

I don’t need them for Thailand but for another malaria infested country that I’ll hit after Thailand. I know there are cheaper anti-malaria tablets around (paludrine, etc) but I prefer malarone.

I’d appreciate any info about this.

Thanks,

There a loads and loads of venues similar to this.

They are good fun if you have plenty of cash, and the girls are definitely a lot hotter than you'll find in the Farrang haunts, as they have mostly Asian customers who won't go near the Issan girls. You would end up spending a lot of money though, and the girls generally want a lot of money for sex.

You'll spend about five times as much as a night out elsewhere, the girl will be five times as hot, but you'll probably have the same amount of fun as you would with a Soi 4 girl.

Nice karaoke quote!

I prefer Malarone.

You're much better off taking Doxycycline which is readily available here. It is currently the anti-malarial of choice among those in the know.

Plus, Doxy has pretty much no side-effects compared with Malarone.

Sorry,

but Doxy has no effect on malaria. Doxy is an antibiotic and may have side effects especially when being taking for an extensive period of time. First you might get a fungus or you might develop an allergy for it. Some people also might get problems with their stomach.

For advice he should better go see a specialized doctor. This is the wrong place to ask. Anti-malaria hugely depends on the region you want to visit and is also shifted from one medicine to another so that no immunity can be developed by malaria. In some regions immunity against some medecine does already exist therefore he should gather actual info from a source specialized in that.

Anyway, as long as someone just moves around the normal tourist places like BKK, Pattaya, HuaHin, Koh Samui, Phuket and the like there is no need for anti malaria tablets. Only in the North and in the far East (Trat region) and in the past the Koh Samet area (there used to be a malaria station) precautions should be taken or considered.

Doxycycline IS a good choice. It has been a very reliable and trusted anti-Malarial for some time.

Take once daily with food and plenty of water at the same time each day. Start two days before arrival in the Malaria area, and continue for four weeks after leaving the area.

Despite being an antibiotic, if you don't get bitten, then you need not continue the course.

Side effects are rare.

But, yes, consulting a doctor would be wiser than asking on this forum.

Gladiator
03-12-05, 10:35
I didn’t ask for advice on anti-malarials, I simply asked for the price of malarone in Thailand.

Obviously I visited a doctor specialised in travel medicine for up-to-date advice as there are different types of malaria in different regions, some of them resistant to certain anti-malarials.

For the country where I’m going he recommended either malarone or doxycycline, but he said doxycycline is more likely to have side effects than malarone. I’ve done a quick research from my side and that seems to be also what all medical studies show: malarone is the anti-malarial with the lowest rate of side effects. But it has a downside: its price, it’s very expensive.

Doxycycline is the anti-malarial of choice because of its lower price not because of its lower side effects.

Member #2967,

I don't see how an antibiotic should have any effect on malaria and never heard of it. The mechamisn how malaria enters the body, targets the liver, spreads and destroys your red blood cells can't be stopped or prevented by antibiotics.

I don't want to start an argument, it's useless since we both don't know much enough it, but it sounds quite bad to me to advise someone to take antibiotics for over 4 weeks.

Anyway, which dosis ? 250mg, 500mg or even 1000mg per day ?
250mg might work without any side effects, but try it with a 1000mg tablet each day. On the other side, 250mg doesn't even has an sustainable effect on bacteries so how should it work for malaria ?

Traveler,

Doctors currently recommend doxycycline for malaria, it is highly effective and cheap, 100 mg daily, start 2 days before entering the malaria infested area and continue till 4 weeks after leaving the area.

But it may have side effects, which are rare, true, but not so rare if you are going to be exposed to sunlight as it causes photosensitivity. This doesn’t happen with malarone.

Gladiator,

I am still sceptical but will check if I can find anything on the net.

Yes, I forgot to mention photosensitivity which can be a pain in the ass in a sunny country like LOS. Just had to use Amoxycyclin for ten days. Smart me smashed a piece of a concrete wall on a toe and the piece of concrete won that competition. The infection didn't want to go away so a strong dosis of 1000mg did the job.

Doxycyclin is often used for VD like the so called ping-pong disease or trichomonea (hope I spelled it correctly). I have have never seen anything regarding malaria in conjuction with antibiotics. A friend of mine once had some VD, was too lazy or shy to see a doctor - he also was a cheap charlie so that be the reason - and did some self medication. Instead of 2 times 500mg per day as advised by me he took 3 times 1000mg per day with the expected outcome. Fungus, skin changes, vomitting, blood pressure went down and he felt as if he has to die. Finally he developed an allergy for doxycyclin. Took him longer to recover from that shit than from his original infection.

Freeler, thanks for the info. Never tried it because this is the first time 14 years that my hard drive committed suicide. I am a Mac person and we hardly have the same problems as Bill Gates' operating system. I did diagnose the drive and it looks like there is a short or something like it. However, good news is that I am taking it to India for the recovery as the price is a fraction of what is charged here in US.

In my old country, we always took quinine pills for malaria. That's why the Brits loved gin and tonic. Beats the heat and keeps malaria at bay. So Gladiator, keep a lot of Beefeater at hand with a steady supply of tonic water and you should be fine. But then what the heck do I know, I am not a doctor. But G&T sounds fun.

Of course, combined with lomotil, it makes a downright effective anti-diaharreal (voice of experience - and I DON'T want to need to do it again) - particularly in conjunction with a boat ride

Just leave 20 Baht, or the coins from your change in a restaurant, unless service is included. This is pretty much standard Thai practice.

Or leave more if you like the waitress. If you hand a tip to a staff member it is theirs, if you leave it with your change it goes to the restaurant and is presumably shared among all the staff.

One super-hot waitress who I know at Bed Bar makes up to 5000 Baht per night in tips.

For taxi drivers you can normally just round the price up to the nearest note. Or give them a 20 if they were super-friendly, or seize back every Satang if they were a miserable ****.

You really should check out Railay Beach, one of the best beaches in the country. Ten minutes in a longtail from Ao Nang beach.

But unless you want to fuck Euro or Aussie chicks then do all your hunting in Ao Nang where there is a small bar scene. Then take your prize for day trips to Railay.

When did you last check Ao Nang? After Christmas?
I saw some nasty footage of waves striking Railay and that beach is just inches over sea level.

What's your latest on Had Nopparatara? I love(d) that place: fantastic restaurants serving superior seafood. Are they still there/ back in business?

That's a lot of questions, but I just like to know!

Railay was barely touched by the waves and is still very intact.

I haven't actually been there for over a year, but I once lived there for four months and am still in touch with several Railay residents.

Ao Nang's small bar-scene seemed to be growing fast when I last visited, so by now it may actually be almost good.

Not sure how Nopparatara beach is doing, I've only ever been there once several years ago.

Taxi fares are very cheap in Bangkok, how they get a living God only knows. Remember that you are "rich" in comparison to taxi drivers so an extra 20-30 baht is not going to break the bank.
Always insist that they use the meter, if they say it is broken get out and hail another taxi, there are hundreds on the streets.

There is at least one soapy in town, a few Thai oriented clubs and the usual brothel action. Most anyone can fill you in on locations when you are there. Despite its size, Khon Kaen has only a moderate number of venues and you may be better off picking up normal girls.

He was going to go to Florida for much better and more expensive treatment (so many old farts in Fa that they are good at that sort of aging related shit). The problem, and it is a relevant one, is if anything goes wrong, one is better off in Fa with the A team than in Bkk with the F team. (Yes, I know they all speak pidgin English etc). But if they were hotshots, they would be in the West. What swung it Bkk's way with my friend was the obvious: I told him he could recuperate in Nana with young fillies giving him a BBBJ. Then he took his beloved to Phuket where Domino will be on 26 December next.

Outside of hookers, viagra and its generics, Panthip Plaza CDs/DVDS, clothes, is there anything worth buying in Thailand for personal consumption/use? It feels a shame to go there, where everything seems so cheap and return home with an empty suitcase/backpack? I have noticed some electronics are markedly cheaper (and, most likely, markedly inferior) to what is on offer in Japan. But, as my choice of women attests, I like a bargain.

If you are buying gifts (even to save for Christmas) Thai silks are great bedspreads, curtains and women's clothes. The wall hangings and small carvings are also great value in the same category, or to decorate your own place.

For home decoration, there are tons of things worth filling you backpack up - place mats and ceramics, lacquer ware is cheap and high quality, and the woodwork stuff is pretty good but cheaper in the PI and some other countries.

Siver markets are good and cheap - the bottom of the Narai has about 30 vendors and many Europeans buy here for resell. You have to bargain, but it is easier if you take quantity.

Sports shoes are a good value, seeing as many of them are made here - you can knock about half off what you would pay in the US, maybe more depending on where you go.

Jade is generally poor quality, at least what you would buy just walking into some place. Amulets are good, but you really need to know what you are looking for in that area.

Bags are cheap, but you need to go to the good places; same with leather coats which can be a real steal and very well made. Made to measure clothes are hit or miss - I have been buying them here for years and the choice of tailor and how you choose cloth are key. Handmade shoes fit into the same category.

When you look at who is buying what for export at Narai, Pratunam and some of the specialty markets, you will get a sense at what is really cheap in quantity.

You should never leave here with an empty backpack or a pocket full of condoms.

Yes I can confirm this too. Thailand is for our hobby AND for shopping a paradise. In other report I wrote that my dentist is also there and 100% satisfaction with the quality and price. For fashion clothes (I don’t mean the copies, I mean original products) Central, Robinson, MBK, Tokyu, Emporium, WTC etc are much better than the shopping center here in Europe and Christmas shopping is the best there.

With the famous tailors, sorry but I am not 100% satisfied. Jewellery? Also sorry because does not suit my taste

Biz 99, I will look now for curtains and bed lines/clothes there, can you recommend me something? Places? Prices? Quality?

What about electronics e.g. video cams or computers? Is Phanthip Plaza BKK a good address? I mean for the original items.

If we combine our hobby with shopping and Health checks (and don’t forget the Thai Food and the beaches) who can recommend in this Forum a better country?

I only miss there a good café & bread during the breakfast and a good wine during the dinner (lobster !!). But I forget this soon when I go back to my room with a nice Thai girl.

i used to run some of that stuff years ago when i was a smuggler and i hope to go back to it some day soon. i am particularly interested in gem bargains along the burmese borner and was even considering doing the gem i of america course in thailand. smuggling appeals to me but there are all kinds of catches with that stuff one would have to watch out for. that is a long term project.

amulets are interesting. i was in some south thai temple and to see the guys examining the amulets, i thought i was at the burmese border trading gems.

there are also some good mahogany, teak and stuff like that along the burmese border but domino prefers to deal in high value, low bulk goods.

silk is also another bummer: good for stocking fillers.

i have lots of tailor made suits myself. however, i think it makes more sense to buy off the rack and then pay a tailor to fix them up. tailor made shoes don't make sense for most of us.

ralph's face job is also interesting as purplengold recommended it a long time ago. i see the guys geting done up and manicured but it seems a little effeminate for me. i also like the ear clean at grace hotel (100 baht) but i was disappointed they did not syringe my ears, only scraped the crap out of it. still, iti s a dirty job and someone has to do it.

is there somewhere i could get my ass waxed? the hair there really pisses me off. this is strange as many hookers have forced me to shave my dick and balls as the hair there really [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) them off.

most stuff we buy seems to be incidental. i guess the only people who come out ahead here are guys with set hobbies such as diving, where they can shop till they drop, knowing they will use the stuff all year round.
the tourist stuff looks gauche when one brings it back to base, i think. banana ketchup might raise a smile, but so does everything else.
lonely planet and such like go on about big markets but who wants all the tourist trinket shit they sell? not

Lots of opportunities in the region, dependent on your skill sets. Many in the oil patch use Thailand as a base and commmute, 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off, to The Gulf, Iran etc. There are relatively large communities of oil field folks in Pattaya, Phuket and Songkla.

Inside Thailand, there are opportunities, though not so many, for more locally based work out of Pattaya and Songkla.

There are often ads in the Bangkok Post for oil field jobs, and you can check them out online from Canada.

Good luck and make the move! You won't regret it, and if all else fails, you will have had an experience of a wonderful country.

Now you know why you should N-E-V-E-R sell or give a 'crashed' hd to anyone...:(For god saqe guys, aren't you forgeting that this is a website about escorts and where to get laid, so if you dont have anything smart to say about that, then dont write on this forum you jerks!

In "prior response" to those who feel that this is only a monger site - just ignore the following. There are other things to do in LOS besides the bedspring boogie.

Suizo - in all honesty, I don't find LOS computer prices to be all that great - for that stuff you need to go to Singapore.

For SOME things, you might save 10 % over US prices (depending on how you buy - I tend to buy over the 'net - and I have little to NO experience with European prices) but HD prices are ABSOLUTELY about DOUBLE for what I can get a similar item in the US (on sale at a retail store). Depends on what you want/expect. The built in 10% VAT adds to the cost. I AM surprised that made in LOS drives are as expensive as they are.

Free - there are 2 types of HD crashes

- electronic (the "brain" dies) Sometimes the cooler works for those particularly if you have an intermittent. Sometimes, you can get another drive and replace the circuit board and then "poof" it works again.

- The other is "head crashes" where you dropped the damned thing. IF the heads go (those little things that read/write onto the platter faces) you are pretty much toast.

To effectively erase a HD, the best way is to go to a shop that does magnetic inspection of steel and plop the drive into their de-magnetizer and cycle it about 7 times. Once it stops jumping around (just joking) it will be FULLY erased with NO recoverable tracks whatever (just degausses it thoroughly). There is then, though a "minor" problem with getting it to format again (but since the intent was to dispose of it, that shouldn't matter - it is basically just a collection of parts)

I was wondering if anyone else knows about this rumor? If this is true then its no wonder some of the established owners have to decided to sell their bars there lately.

As the rumor has it Landmark is taking it over for some parking and plaza.

Globotto,

I heard that rumor last year. Landmark has had the eye in NANA for a long time according to a guy (developer) I met there a last year. There was also (I can't remember correctly) a letter to the editor on the BKK Post or the Nation (?) last fall making reference to expanding Landmark's parking and plaza area. There is also a drive to "clean up" the Sukhumvit neirborghood to compete with the up and coming Siam new development.

Hy There, if you're trying to get information about pricing and other information for a trip then perhaps you might start by reading the FAQ, and invest a bit of time reading through the forum (perhaps using the search function if you're that impatient) to find what you want. Regardless of whether you cared for it or found it on-topic or not, the post you quoted from Freeler at least had some actual content and was thereby far more valuable than was your complaint about it.

Introducing yourself by ripping what others do on your first post and then promising mythically to provide something of value sometime in the future if you get what you want ("I will pay you on Wednesday for a hamburger today") on your second is hardly the way to have anyone take you seriously. Freeler, for example, has been posting unique and invaluable info for years, and is thereby well entitled to post on or off topic as much as he pleases.

The bottom line is simply this: until you have provided the kind of information you say should be on this website, as pretty much everyone else here has done, your complaint carries utterly no weight. Until that point, you can do what everybody else -- RTFF. The information you want is here and has been provided by precisely the same people you've waltzed in here complaining about. Right now you're just an uninvited guest who walks in, starts criticizing the decor, complains that dinner is late, and then that it's not what he had in mind. Hence the reaction your comments have received.

The answer is anywhere from 4,000 to 10,000 baht or more in Bangkok. This is just an average but as a first timer do not pay more than 4,500 for for short time.

I get the feeling you are an easy going guy so you might want to pick up a girl for long time (overnight stay) for about 9,500 baht/night. Make sure you tip her about 2,000 for her services.

Hi Dinghy,
Thanks for your reply and Info. The prices here in Switzerland are too high (and salaries & taxes too) even more than in other European countries, however going down now. If I buy something (in general) in Germany I can safe 20%+/- and as far as I know 30%+/- if I buy the same in USA.

For shopping, I prefer to see the product first. Therefore, I don’t like the Internet shopping. I am sure that there are other countries with better / cheaper prices BUT if I am visiting Thailand, why not trying other “shopping” than our hobby?

I was only willing to know for other alternatives during our stage in LOS and I really appreciate your recommendations regarding Singapore and hope to visit this too soon, but not sure if the girls there are the best value for my money.

Hi folks,

Well done Jackson. I found this site and have got to share my trip with fellow mongers.

I visited Phuket 4 years ago and cant stop talking about the place great beaches great food and absolutely great pussy.

Went to Phuket Town and had a great nite at the kick boxing then returned to the bar district for more beer and pussy, but I had better tell you all how I ended up here I arrived 6. 00pm and and met 3 guys from newcastle uk who were drinking and laughing a lot around the hotel pool. steve a 6ft red head with ears like dried apricots and a nose that looked like it had been sprinkeld with pink cornflakes was in fine form. So "Steve, what do ya think of Thailand?" Well OZ in fucking great he replied, he loved my aussie accent and bought me a beer just so I would talk to him some more, I ended up buying him another 6 for the 2 weeks of experience he had and it was gold. But steve you look like sh*t, your ears are just about burnt off your melon and your nose could earn you a couple of grand a week on the skin cancer tv commercial circuit in oz, shit mate you look a mess. Well thats when I found out the real truth about this paradise.

Steve had got off the london bangkok flight with a belly full of grog and not prepared for the heat, he arrived at our hotel drank some more and decided that the surf was the place for a very pale red head from the uk. after nearly drounding in the surf and requiring help from the water steve quietely fell asleep on the beach in his own vomit only later to awake 3hrs later in the burning thai sun, it was this moment that steve told me that he realised that he was designied to sleep all day and drink and f#atk the locals all nite. His pound notes made him king in this land and Steve had well and truely had enough of his own local girls who could drink a gallon of gin out of a sweaty sock, eat 2 kebabs and still not deliver back at the ranch. steve thru misfortune had found paradise, I have never seen a happier redhead.

We all hopped in a cab and I was taken to the road with all the bars on it, (sorry guys cant remember the name) but all you mongers would know it, the pussy was that thick I am sure you could smell it 5kms away. so many bars so many girls, the choice of pussy was unbeliveable, big titts little tits shaved, hairy, this joint had the lot and at 1/3 of the goin price downunder. over the next 2 weeks I ate sucked licked fingered rubbed blew on more pussy than I could have ever imagined and even all this time I can still remember chewing on that fine black pubic hair that is so unmistakenbly thai pussy. I got a hankerin for it right now. more detailed reports of the rooting sessions to follow.

Umadar, there are four flights a week from Philok to Chaing Mai via Thai Air, but they basically fly you back to Bangkok and then fly you to CM -- somewhere around 800baht or so, if I recall correctly, and a 3 to 4 hour trip time. Other than that you can take the train, which isn't bad, a rather pleasant 6 or 7 hour ride for around 500 baht, or if you really want a flight you can take the bus over the Sukothai and get the Bangkok Air flight which leaves daily around 10 or 11am -- I forget exactly when, but it's morning, and takes about an hour for the bus and then another half hour for the flight to CM. (Same general price range as the Thai air flights.) There are also, of course, straight bus rides between Philok and CM , which are about 6 1/2 hours or so and pretty cheap -- generally less than 150baht.

Freeler

Joe,

"6 or 7 hour ride for around 500 baht"

That would be closer to B50...(third class: dep7.30am-arr16.00pm or so) Even the all-aircon sprinters are not over B300.

Aircon buses are under B300 as well.

True enough -- I'm a second or first-class air-con sort myself, so quoted accordingly (and by leaky memory since I'm away from home at the moment, so apologies for that.) I most certainly acknowledge that as a Philok fan you've definitely done this ride far more often than I!

I also know that a salary for a cashier in a super market could be in BKK THB 3000 or 5000 and 10 hours per day, 6 days per week and only 1 holiday after 2 weeks. Hi Guys,

as I am thinking about going on a trip to Thailand in september or october I want to get some info because I NEVER was there.
I myself was in several latin american countries before and wondered myself WHAT to expect from Thailand regarding hookers, best places to visit, don'ts and do's, and the country itself.
In Panama I meet some americans that were before also in Thailand and they told me (mostly) possetive stories about Thailand.
Also some working collegues of mine (one has a thai GF which he is bring home now) also told me good things about this country.
Besides that I met recently some thai girls in a disothek right here (in germany)...and they looked very pretty and were realy nice to talk with. (they spoke english)

So my question is: What to expect from Thailand comparing it to Latin america?

Right now I am doing a lot of reading on Thai culture and Thai social life.
But allready i can see some great differences with the latino culture.
But I understand that some info is best to get from people who were there.

One big disadvantage I allready found out is the Thai language. I mean I myself have a decent level of spanish....but Thai?? Wowwww that is very unknown for me,and i wonder if any westerner can learn this difficult language. I like to communicate with people.
On the other hand I must say that I am quite fed up with the nasty attitude some latin american hookers gave me in the past. In plain old english: they were arrogant at times...!! I don't like that in any women. Hooker or no-hooker.

I hope you guys understand me.

regards,

Johan.

Joe Zop
04-11-05, 16:36
Johann, there are definitely large differences between these two areas, and this is a potentially very rambling discussion where individual preferences can play a big role. Hopefully some folks such as Jamito, who spends time in both places, will offer their expertise, but I'll give my small impressions with the caveat that I've spent more time in Thailand than Latin America.

First, let me refer you to the FAQ, which answers some of your questions and has a lot of other useful info. Then I'll dive in...

Language: Unlike Latin America, you really don't need to know the local language to get along in LOS, as long as you're staying in the major tourist areas. Thailand is a very tourist-friendly country, and English is found to some degree in most places. Thai is not a horribly complex language (the unusual aspect mostly being that it is tonal) and there are lots of folks on this forum who have learned to speak it. It's certainly not necessary to do so for a simple mongering trip, however.

Attitude: I would say on the whole that Latin Americans are more open and enthusiastic about sex than are Thais (speaking here of working women.) You're far more likely to come across ladies in Thailand who have never done this or that, who are excessively shy, etc. That said, most are open to persuasion, and there are certainly a massive number of truly hard-core sex freaks who are easily found in LOS, as well as a much bigger pool of women to choose from. While of course there is some degree of attitude (people are people everywhere) what blows guys away and makes them lose their senses in Thailand is the extent to which Thai women tend to focus on the man they're with in terms of seeing to his needs and providing the girlfriend experience -- read this section carefully regarding this, as there are plenty of stories about guys utterly losing their heads over someone they picked up out of a bar ten minutes after they walked in. But this does speak to the attraction. In terms of attitude, you're far, far, far less likely to end up getting stressed out by an arrogant Thai woman than a possessive one. You may certainly run up against the business-like type who's believes in cum-and-run, but that perfectly suits many people's wants as well.

The scene: The P4P scene in Thailand is far larger and more obvious than pretty much anywhere else in the world. Pattaya is essentially nothing but a monger's paradise, with literally square miles of places where the action is all but constant. Bangkok has several major areas for action, and the scene is child's play to find in Phuket, Chiang Mai, and elsewhere.

One critical and substantial difference is the high presence of katoeys, who are pre or post-op transgenders. Most are up-front about who and what they are, but they mix in with real women and are for many guys (especially after a night of heavy drinking, when perception starts getting, shall we say, inexact...) close to indistinguisable. If you're half careful their presence is not something to worry much about especially if you adopt a straightforward "not interested" manner.

Culture: Thai culture is definitely very different than that of Latin America, and it's something many westerners find confusing or daunting, but on its surface it's friendly and affable and as long as you follow the kind of rules you're finding in the books you're reading (be respectful of the King, don't point your feet at people, etc.) you're generally not going to run into much trouble. I will note that in general Thailand is probably safer in terms of crime than many places in Latin America, but that if you truly run afoul of the law there are few places worse to be than a Thai prison.

Hope that helps a little bit for starters -- I trust others will chime in...

Johan - my expereinces in C/S America have been limited to Mexico, but in Thailand, it is a "different world'. Expect to be able to speak English in the urban areas, but even in the "rural" areas, you will generally find someone who speaks English. Thai is a TONAL language in that the "same" word has different meanings on whether the tone is hi, low, middle, rising or falling. It takes time to learn and lots of practice. Maybe my next trip I will be able to speak beyond the 5 year old level. Don't worry, the natives are generally friendly. And as to "arrogant" - generally not - Thais are among the most friendly people I have ever met. Don't do anything stupid and go read some of the cultural aspects of Thai. September is still the rainy (low) season and October is the end of the rainy season. It CAN get very very wet there during downpours (but at least it's warm rain). Prices are WAY better than C/S America. and after reading Joe's response, I would add that oyu would find a different attitude between older women and younger - the older women tend to dislike younger men "they butterfly" was the term I heard.

I haven't been coming to Thailand for long compared to many of the others here. Just a bit over 2 years. There are some differences, but nothing that will kill the deal. :)

One of the major differences seems to be a bit of jealousy. Once they bag you, they may think that you're their property. This does happen all around the world, but seems more pronounced in Thailand.

For instance, in Pattaya (A beach town totally full of working girls), I took one girl from a beer bar near my hotel. Every time I'd go by after that, she would try and drag me inside. I ended up having to find another way to get to the hotel (especially when I was bringing a guest). In some ways it's endearing, but it does get old after awhile.

The variety and such is enormous in Thailand. Short, tall, skinny, fat. Light skinned, dark skinned. A darker skinned girl may be looked upon as trash by many Thais but will be amazed that you want her.

If getting a BJ is important, I would always clarify that you want it before you take her back to her room. Ask if they "smoke".

The girls will ask for as much money as they think they can get from you. They will also try to get you to send them money, buy gifts and such. Sick father, waterbuffalo and such are standard stories. I would have fun, but not fall in love. I'm sure you know this, however.

Once you've experienced Bangkok and Pattaya, you can discover other places to see more of the real Thailand. I've been to Phuket and Chang Mai which are nicer and a bit slower. Going down some of the Sois (Alleys, small streets) in Pattaya and having 50 women cling to you, grab your dick and stuff can be amazing the first time. After 20 times, it can get a bit old.

Joe Zop has great information, and I'd recommend reading a few months back and then asking further questions from there.

Johan,

Why does everybody leave out the key word: FOOD!?

The women in DR are luscious, warm, wild and willing. Indonesia is the biggest brothel on the planet. PI may be the easiest for most of us: English and even Spanish is widely spoken and girls are-a-plenty.

But all those destinations lack the one thing that is all over Thailand: Fantastic food!

Before a bonk, after a bonk and in between bonks: FOOD! Bring just B50 (€1) and eat the best food in the world. Then find yourself another lady to help you burn it:D.

I’ll be in BKK in a week. I’d appreciate if somebody could advise me where might be the best place to “take away” a.k.a. LT or overnight in BKK. I do not have a specific location as my hotel room is not booked yet. Preferred price range is below 3,000 Baht (for overnight). I can start my activity as early as 2pm.

Thanks

That was a special internet offer for HY There. Surely you could not have paid less than 4K Baht, did you?I am discussing via emails offers from freelancers for day & night service for my next trip there. I plan to book a Thai girl for 5 days & nights for a total of 12´000 baths, this mean 2400 per one day & night. I have experience with her and to be honest satisfied with her service, nevertheless I am trying to push the price and willing to get this for 10000.

John Kallie,

Sukhumvit (BKK) is not my place to be.
But like anywhere else in the Kingdom it will no doubt be very difficult to find restaurant or foodstall that serves bad food...
It's like looking for girl unfriendly hotels - you gotta be one hell of a sucker to accidently find one!

Today's Bangkok cuisine hot tip:
Garlic and pepper fish smoked in Bangkokian traffic jam fumes - delicious!

To each his own. 2K per 24 hrs is reasonable enough though it is beyond me why would one want to be with the same girl when there are 100s, nay, 1000s available around. IMHO, LTs are ok if you are going to places where there are not enough available such as Ko Samui etc. But in BKK there are enough freelancers. Nana Parking lot, Grace, Thermae, Suk Alley aer closing time etc. etc.

Any other punter wants to chime in and help Suizo out?

Depends on what you like. Plenty of places on Suk. Walking up from Soi 3 to 15 there are

1. Indian - Bukhara
2. Thai Seafood - Soi 7 opp Biergarten
3. Pizza place/ Italian
4. Subway
5. Thai place corner of Soi15. Great duck, as long as you don't mind the occasional flies. I just wave them in. Adds a crunch. Great with Singha.
6. After 1 a.m. all the small stalls. Get a TG to show you around.

Hve fun.

Long Stroker,

Save your cash, dl the clips from kazaa or a similar service instead.
The girls are very much Thai indeed and they get rewarded a B1000 note in the end.
Then they say 'khop kun kha' and wai.
It may sound funny, but it's sad:(.

another good Thai restaurant is " Cabbages and Condoms", right behind Annie's massage.

Also "Suan Lum" night bazar, which I believe is on Wireless woad, has some very good food. You can also enjoy a fun stage show, where cute Thai girls come out and sing. They do an unforgetable rendition of "I will sir wai".

And then of course, there are tons of lovely TGs walking around.

Long Stroker. "khop kun kha" means thank you

"khop kun kha" means 'thank you' when said by a woman, men say "khop kun khap".

UK CRIMINALS ON THE RUN: Police deny Pattaya is a crime haven

Published on April 13, 2005 (BBC)

Reject British media claims that resort city is a magnet for low-lifes; admit more international cooperation needed

Police yesterday defended Pattaya’s image amid growing concerns that the resort city has become a new hideout for criminals and fugitives from the United Kingdom.

Tourist Police commander Maj-General Panya Maman repudiated allegations that Pattaya is a magnet for British criminals and fugitives.

“For Pattaya, there is nothing to be worried or afraid of,” he said.

British newspaper The Guardian recently published a feature story [see report below] claiming an increasing number of British criminals and fugitives were turning to Pattaya to seek haven and thrive in its underground economy.

The article cited four main reasons why British criminals are attracted to Pattaya: an abundance of women, ease of finding accommodation, the chance to get a new identity, and illicit ways to make money.

Panya said police had eliminated organised-crime networks in Pattaya over the past six years.

He added that many police agencies, such as the Central In-vestigation Bureau and the Immi-gration Bureau, had increased efforts to arrest and extradite foreign criminals and cooperate with police agencies from other countries. Panya said the main problem was working out how to obtain arrest warrants from the authorities abroad.

“Information sharing will be the key [to solving the problem],” he said.

Colonel Somnuek Chankate, superintendent of Pattaya sub-district police station, also denied Pattaya had become a new playground for British criminals.

He said other tourist cities were also vulnerable to similar allegations, as criminals could also find women, hideouts and new identities in those places.

Somnuek said police had never condoned organised crime, be it foreign or domestic, in Pattaya.

He said British nationals were no threat to Pattaya’s reputation, as their criminal activities in the area were minimal.

Thailand has good cooperation with other countries on extradition, he added. “We will arrest and extradite anyone who is confirmed to be a fugitive,” Somnuek said.

He said Britons were not even among the top-three nationalities of foreign criminals in Pattaya, which comprised Germans, Ko-reans and Chinese.

first of all thanks to joe zop, dinghy, freeler and jaimito cartero for their comments on my question about s/c-america and thailand regarding mongering etc...

thanks guys!

i allready found out that the pricing of airfare is way cheaper then to south-america! probably saves me up more then 200 euro's on a round trip!! money that can be spend on.....well you know what i mean:-)

i might just try the new air service with mahan air...from iran. they go from germany (duesseldorf airport) to teheran and then to bkk for € 520,-...all in!!! (round trip) is that cheap or what?? to south america i can not get any ticket under 700 euros! (unless you might get lucky or take a last minute)
on this flight you can take 30 kgs of lugage and you can use the vip lounge for free during the 2-4 hour stay-over in teheran. sounds like a challenge to me. on a dutch forum on pataya i read that a guy that used the mahan air company was very satisfied with the trip and services.

i checked out a thai chatroom today and i was pleasantly surprised by the many woman that spoke english!:-)
try this in any latin room and you get stuck if you can't speak spanish!!
me entiendes? yo no hablo ingles:-(

i definately will check out more on thai items.

i allready met 2 nice girls in msn.:-) from there i will work my way up....
i watched them in webcam:-)..so i am pretty sure they are no crossdressers or whatever freaks.

oo jaimito....i also noticed that many latinas also can be very jealous (celosa)....o boy...i could tell you stories..:-( makes you shiver.
so i will be carefull in handling this item.
in dr and brasil i also noticed that hookers wanted gifts etc...etc..[CodeWord132] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord132) money...or whatever extra money. fuck that...:-(

freeler: i am a lover of asian food. here in holland we have many chinese-indonesian restaurants...and i am frequently in one:-) (or get take out.) the thai restaurants start to come now more and more,so i will definately try one before i go to thailand. close to my town we even have a vietnamese restaurant too.

i also know that thai food is probably way hotter and spicier then chinese food...so i have to watch that one;-) don't want end up burning my tongue or throat...lol.
fyi the food in peru and colombia also is from a very outstanding quality and variety:-) i realy liked it a lot.
the brasilian food i didn't like at all...but that could be a matter of personal taste.

i don't ever recall seeing any brits in pattaya who weren't criminals. they should line them up and shoot them all, just like they did with all the street-kids in rio in the good old days.

the uk should confirep001e passports of anyone leaving prison, or ship them to australia like back in the day, or better still, re-introduce hanging.

great escape.

in the 1980s, the costa del sol was the destination of choice for many british criminals. today they head to thailand, where the beaches are stunning, the women cheap and the police bribable. duncan campbell travels to pattaya, paradise for sunseekers - and brits on the run

monday april 11, 2005
the guardian

outside the dog's bollocks pub, a blackboard is pointing out that "charlton v yids" will be screened on the bar's television later this evening. down the narrow street that leads to the pattaya beachfront, past the cafes offering a full english breakfast and the masseuses offering full everything else, every middle-aged british male seems to be accompanied by a thai woman half his age, half his size and seven times as attractive.

on the crowded beachfront, as jet skis skid across the bay, every counterfeit imaginable is available, from ray bans to rod stewart cds. newly arrived brits, identifiable by their fake premiership football shirts, shorts and hairless alabaster legs, are handed flyers offering trips across the border to cambodia on "visa runs" and assistance in "getting positive results for any length 'overstay'". one stall is selling women's t-shirts reading "no money, no honey" and, for men, sleeveless black t-shirts pronouncing "good guys go to heaven, bad guys go to pattaya."

detective superintendent john sweeney from the metropolitan police has made five visits over the past two years - all on extradition business. "it's the new costa del crime," he says, thanks to the numbers of brits fleeing the law at home for lives of lucrative, beachfront liberty in thailand. "you see them all there in their singlets and tattoos. it's a perfect place for them. what the thais must think of british people i have no idea."

pattaya gained its reputation as a place where sex was for sale during the vietnam war when us servicemen would come to thailand for "rest and rehabilitation". the trade continued after the war, with western tourists filling the vacuum. now everything sexual is available. young women dressed as schoolgirls beckon customers into classroom-a-go-go (motto: "study hard") and young men in white t-shirts and shorts follow suit at narcissus. there are women dressed as secretaries at a bar called the office girls and encased in silver dresses at another, crystal girls. "what makes it attractive for someone on the run is that it is very easy to pick up bogus id, it's very cheap to live and you can get yourself fixed up with a thai woman very easily," says sweeney.

the lid was lifted on the british expat underworld in pattaya during a murder trial at the old bailey in december. matthew o'connor, a london taxi driver and martial-arts expert who co-managed the camden club barzaar, was charged with the 1997 killing of ronald hinkson outside his club. o'connor, who fled the country with a false passport immediately after the killing, was tracked down to thailand four years later and spent two years in jail there fighting extradition. he was acquitted of the murder after he told the jury that he had not been involved and had only disappeared because he believed the dead man's friends were after him.

o'connor, like many on the run, had managed to create a new world for himself in pattaya, complete with a thai partner with whom he had a son. he might have spent the rest of his life there, untroubled by the british police, had it not been for another pattaya expat, ian muirhead. a small, nervy man, muirhead had been in jail for various offences in britain and the us before he ended up enjoying the benefits of thailand. there he set himself up as a cigarette smuggler and importer of fake gucci and louis vuitton accessories. he also made a speciality of supplying fake visas and travel documents, thus facilitating illegal immigration scams.

muirhead's modus operandi, typical of the counterfeit trade from thailand, was to purchase fake fancy goods at a fraction of the price of the genuine article, ship them back to london and have them sold off by associates working in the london markets. he was not making a fortune - he reckoned between £2,000 and £4,000 per monthly trip - but combined with the phoney visa business, it provided a comfortable life. he was arrested in england in 2002 after trying to pull off one trip too many. in exchange for a £21,000 reward, he divulged the new identity and whereabouts of o'connor, then operating under the name of roy cann. he is now living at a secret location.

o'connor, who had used muirhead to collect money for him from london, had also found the counterfeit goods trade allowed him a comfortable life in thailand. like muirhead, he traded in replica football shirts, buying them for £3 and selling them for £15. the fact that thailand is one of the world centres of counterfeit production provides expat criminals with a wonderful way of making money relatively free from risks. if they have legal problems, the police are very bribable.

the old costa del crime in the south of spain was where villains took advantage of the collapse in 1978 of the extradition agreement between spain and the uk. for a while in the 1980s, up to 100 major british criminals enjoyed their san miguels without fear of a hand on the collar of their hawaiian shirts (the door to spain was closed in 1985 with a new extradition accord, although it didn't apply to those who were there already). the old costa del crime provided a haven with full access to the staples of the expat brit: televised football, beer and breakfast. pattaya can offer all of these - along with a young female population who show an unfailing attraction to well-off, middle-aged brits in shorts and sandals.

so is pattaya really the new costa del crime? "not at all; it's more like blackpool," says one expat londoner who now owns a bar just up the road from the dog's bollocks, where muirhead and his pals hung out. the staff and customers there were more reticent: a journalist exploring this theme around the time of the last world cup got, i was told, "a smack in the mouth".

"it's really very relaxed," says the londoner. "there are a few ex-cons here but i don't know of anyone on the run - apart from one guy who's now gone to the philippines [which has no extradition treaty with britain]. you get all kinds here: your golfing fraternity and just normal people." oddly, no one in this supposedly family-friendly golfing idyll wants to talk on the record. to an observer, indeed, pattaya is much more identifiable as the home of "beer bars" where a "bar fine" is paid to take a woman off for sex, or go-go bars where "lady drinks" are bought for the dancers, who are also available for sex for as little as £10. a brit on the run can, for very little investment, find himself a woman, a place to stay, a new identity and, with the right connections, a way of scamming enough money to stay for ever.

of course, there are plenty of expats who have nothing to do with crime and who are attracted by the sun and cheap property. around £30,000 will buy a very comfortable apartment near the beach, and rents are minimal - 650,000 british tourists visit pattaya every year. one legitimate english businessman who has been in pattaya for a decade says he has seen the town grow by 10% a year since then. there were some problems on the criminal front, he says, but mainly with people who overstayed their visas.

there have, however, certainly been no shortage of crime stories involving britons in the town. last month, bernard le court, a 52-year-old chef from liverpool who moved to thailand six years ago to open a restaurant, had his throat cut in pattaya. a local taxi driver was arrested after the body was found in bushes near pluta luang, 22 miles south of the town. he was said to have heavy gambling debts and to have robbed le court of his camera equipment and money. he could face the death penalty if convicted.

the lively local paper pattaya today, one of three local english-language publications, provides a round-up of the criminal happenings complete with graphic photos: thai police make a speciality of posing beside the bodies of murder victims. in one week last month it was carrying reports of a briton, alexander downey, caught with three packs of "ice" (pure amphetamines), and a report that noted that "the brit's landlady said she believed he had made some enemies in pattaya and they had decided to put an end to his nefarious activities". another report told of a "swiss guy found expired in condo - possibly hit with hard object".

it is not only british criminals who are attracted to thailand; while the british and australians are the most involved in the counterfeit business, some sex trade and drugs, russians are involved in prostitution and west africans in drugs and diamonds. down on the front, one 20-year-old thai businessman offering fake ysl suits says that englishmen have a bad reputation locally: "they get very drunk and sometimes you get a group of them and they take a woman and they don't want to pay her and they [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) her. there are germans, too, but the english are the worst." pat, a 27-year-old thai bar-girl, says the english are the best and the worst customers. what does she mean? "they do like to get very drunk."

unlike patong, thailand's other main hangout for british expats and tourists, pattaya was not affected by the boxing day tsunami. there is little doubt, however, that the catastrophe in the region may have provided some people with a perfect way of disappearing. there are many apocryphal tales in pattaya about british criminals who got new identities after claiming that their passports had been washed away in the waves. even if they can't secure a phoney identity in thailand, a taxi ride from pattaya takes you over the border into cambodia where it is even easier to disappear. last summer, a bogus passport ring was busted in bangkok with false id from new zealand, france, belgium and spain being sold for as little as €1,500 (£1,000 each). there are services available, too, for criminals who want to stay in thailand but who do not want the risk and bother of travelling abroad to get their visa renewed. for 3,200 baht (£42) for a tourist visa or 7,500 baht (£100) for a three month non-immigrant visa, someone will leave the country on your behalf and return with the necessary renewal stamp.

there are currently 41 britons in jail in thailand, according to prisoners abroad, mostly on drugs charges; some are serving sentences of 49 or even 99 years, their only faint hope a royal pardon. the jail where they are housed, the bang kwang or "bangkok hilton", has now become so notorious that visiting a detained brit has been added to the list of things to do for backpackers in the area. in a recent book called guns, girls, gambling, ganja, three thai academics from chulalongkorn university in bangkok wrote that "thailand has acquired an international reputation as a country where illegal businesses can flourish because of poor law enforcement. this is bad for thailand's international reputation." it is, however, good for a brit on the run.

The Yids are Spurs, local rivals of Chelsea FC. The Dogs Bollox in Soi 13-2, as I previously reported, is run by the Chelsea Headhunters, who were notorious English soccer hooligans/criminals. The Dogs Bollox is a very dangeorus joint to go into as the customers there are, like the owners and their Thai fuck holes, pure scum. Several innocents have been beaten to pulp there. If you are not a Chelsea fascist, do not go there. Narcissus and the other places will find a surge in business after this publicity.

The mark up on the shirts, if transported back to London, is not all that much. Africans into diamonds? Russians only into pimping? Typically shallow Guardian jerk off stuff. But good to get a worthwhile post in this area nonetheless if only to see some of Thailand's possibilities. More news articles please.

I can understand why expats (criminal or otherwise) want to drink in these shitholes.

But why travel halfway round the world for a vacation and spend a large part of it looking for experiences that are third-rate imitations of ones that can be had at home (except for the beatings by thugs, which I'm sure are just as authentic)? If you want to feel at home, stay at home. The beer, breakfasts and pies are far better for starters (at least in Coma Boy's beloved North of England), and you don't get jetlag walking down to the 'local'.

Surely, the point is to see exotic sights, meet exotic people, eat exotic food, fuck exotic pussy, get beaten by exotic thugs (no, lets pass on that last one).

Incidentally, since my first trip a year ago I've spent about 9 weeks in LOS, spending time in BKK, Pattaya, the far north in and around Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, eastern Isaan and Hua Hin. In some of these places I mongered, in some of them I was a 'normal' tourist. Most nights I got drunk, as is my wont on vacation. But even taking into account the fact that I always walk away from potential trouble (the last time I was in a fight was over 20 years ago, when I was attacked in a pub by a shit-faced drunk guy I was trying to ignore), I have never been in a situation where I've felt physically threatened in LOS. I've also never been robbed by a hired help, despite the fact that on several occasions I have left myself wide open to this. Do I make good choices, or have I been lucky, or both? And do some people make dangerous choices, do they attract trouble with their attitude/personality, do they look for trouble in every situation/place in which they put themselves (and eventually find it), or are some people just unlucky?

A (non-mongering) friend of mine recently spent 2 weeks in Pattaya in an upmarket hotel with his wife and kids. Their view of the city was that it isn't much different to the downmarket 'Costa' resorts in mainland Spain. It certainly wasn't a giant brothel from their perpectives.

Maybe, to a large extent, people find the 'reality' they expect to find (and are looking for) in LOS. After all, it's all there, same same just about every country in the world.

Just to clarify Domino's normally well-detailed info to non-Brits.

Spurs are a rival London soccer club to Chelsea and others. They are owned by, and have a large support from London Jews, hence the obnoxious, racist 'Yid' nick which is taken in remarkably good spirit by their fans. No surprise considering that English soccer, like it's society in general (despite what the jealous European press would have people believe) is the least racist in Europe (giving a special dispensation to Holland on this one).

This question is in behalf of the plethora of students who will be studying in LOS this summer. I, for one, will be there from late may to july. My question is: what are the hot spots where all the non-pros hang out? Are there any specific parts of BKK where-- say, all the university girls like to hang out? Where do the locals like to hang out during the weekend? Although i am planning to hit the scene that has made LOS so famous, i would like to gather some intel of the "other" places that might provide freebies, TG-style! don't expect sex on the first night, or even the second, third, fourth, and make sure you speak good thai and are still young. also once you get a phone number don't be suprised when she turns up with a chaperone for your first date.

all the student chicks i know hate the sex-tourists who try to start chatting to them. but, of course, there are always some students who don't mind but many of these are also looking for some extra money, so your freebie won't end up being free- but it can still be good value for money.

best place is around siam square. but there are good students haunts rep001tered all over town.

also close to chulalongkorn, kasetsart, thammasat, mahidol etcetera etcetera you will find many student hangouts.

i actually tend to pick up most students at bts stations.

In late February I tried out the massage services available at this hotel. I found out about this place through some earlier posts. RTFFing. I had to be at the airport early in the morning and had time to try out the After Flight Center special services. You will find the After Flight Center on the 5th floor and way down the hall. First of all, the prices for this place are way higher than any other place in Bangkok. The price was $95. However, with limited time and without any other viable options I chose to try it out. I got there about 0915 and there wasn't a lady available. After 5 - 10 minutes I was told she had arrived at work. I was led to my room, which was quite spacious and had a large bath tub in it, by a very flat and homely looking young lady. I was thinking that I had really screwed up coming here, thinking she was my lady. Fortunately, right after she left a very nice looking Thai lady from Chiang Mai came in and I was quite releived!

She filled the tub and then we bathed, with her body washing my body. Quite nice. after the bath, she dried me off and took me to the bed. At that point after some massage we did FS with numerous positions. I had taken a levitra earlier so my lasting power was quite good. However, later on when it came to round two I was never able to bust my nut. In between rounds she gave me a pedicure and wanted to give me a manicur as well. I thought this was a nice touch, but kind of wierd. However, with only and hour and a half I didn't want to use my time this way. So I warn you, that had I continued with these other services I would not have had time for round two. We finished with another bath and the over all service was quite good. the girl had 7 looks and C cup boobs. Very pleasant, but hit me up for more tip than I expected to leave.

One word of caution. I had a devil of a time getting back through Immigration to leave the area so I could go to the hotel. It took me close to two hours to do that and I had to retrieve my suitcases as well!

a norwegian man was arrested at the princess bar during the early hours of april 15 and charged with the attempted [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) of a 12-year-old girl in the bar’s toilets.

police had been called to the princess bar on pattaya second road at around 12.30am on friday morning after the bar owner and the girl’s mother reported the incident. the mother, wanpen iam-muak, 41, told police that she was at the bar with her foreign husband having a social drink. her daughter went into the restroom, and then she heard the girl let out a blood-curdling scream.

kjetil watto larsen has been charged with the attempted [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) of a 12-year-old girl.

shocked, wanpen and other patrons in the bar rushed to see what had happened. in the toilet, kjetil watto larsen, a 29-year-old from norway, who also had been drinking at the bar, was allegedly trying to have sex with the young girl. an unidentified foreigner beat the norwegian, leaving him bloodied before prying the young girl away from him.

larsen tried to flee and ran upstairs, but the police arrived and apprehended him on the mezzanine floor of the bar. larsen denied the allegations that he had tried to [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) the girl but the bar owner, girl’s mother and patrons all verified the crime and larsen was taken into custody.

at the station larsen claimed he would never try to [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) a young girl, and that he had a thai wife. larsen said he would be happy to pay whatever compensation was necessary.

the girl’s mother refused. wanpen said that if her daughter had not screamed for help she would have fallen victim to the man and no amount of money would stop that. “i don’t want your money. you are a danger to society and a threat to other girls,” she said.

wanpen said she would see the case through until the end.

kjetil watto larsen was charged with the attempted [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) of a minor under the age of 15. if found guilty by the courts larsen could face up to 15 years in jail, a very heavy fine or both, followed by deportation. he was taken to jail pending a court appearance.

My observations from a week in Bkk.

So many Thais returning from overseas holidays; affluence is a great thing yay!

Sheraton on Sukumvit is a nightmare. The wall of people thronging that area from Robinson and past makes hell desirable.

Customer service is just as alien a word to the Thai as it has been for the past decade. They act like they know whats best for customers. The unctuousness disgusts me!

Skanks are ugly as always; skinny, dark, old and ofcourse they'll be mean.
Been saving my shags for the whitish-yellow meat in Shenzhen, yum!

Went to bed at 10pm and up 7am, hit the swimming pool twice daily. An entire week of dopamine on my face, prompted my Thai business associate to comment on my youthfulness. So nice of her!

Waited in line for a good 5 minutes at a bank in Mo Chit BTS to find out if they had USD for exchange. They only had 550.
At the Thai Military Bank at the Airport the beeyatch tried to rip me off a 1,000B - claimed there was 207k. Made her count again and was watching her hands to stop her from slipping one note to the ground. 208K on the 2nd count, wh0re!
Still, beats paying $50 to TT the shit.

Next trip in 70 days - it'll be hot, wet and sticky. But the money's good!

You mean you met her online?

It is perfectly reasonable for her to want to see who she is talking to.

If you're really ugly and non-photogenic then that is one downside. If you don't want her to have a hard-copy of your photo then show yourself on web-cam instead.

I've had girls mail me fake pictures before, or pictures that are several years old from their slimmer days. I even once discovered that one sexy young Thai student I had been chatting to online was an old American man.

But sending your photo to someone is pretty harmless.

I find that ATMs are the way to go, even at the airport to get baht vs. exchanging dollars for baht. Usually only 1% service charge which is incorporated in the exchange rate. They also have the best exchange rate than money changers. Money Changers also give the worst exchange rate.

Last time here, got picked up by a pretty girl in the book section in Robinson. So, I go there when I am in Thailand just in case!

Bumrungrad gets its ‘60 Minutes’of fame
Published on April 27, 2005

Bumrungrad Hospital on Sunday became the first Thai company to be featured on “60 Minutes”, the prestigious television news programme broadcast by CBS.

In the programme, Byron Bonnewell, a campground owner who lives in Shreveport, Louisiana, recounted how the hospital had saved his life.

A year ago, he explained, he had a heart attack and was told he needed to have an urgent bypass surgery to stay alive. Uncovered by health coverage, he estimated that the surgery would cost him upwards of $100,000 (Bt3.9 million), a sum he could not afford.

Desperate and fearing for his life, finally he chanced upon the Thai hospital.

“I was in my doctor’s office one day, having some tests done, and there was a copy of Business Week magazine there,” he told “60 Minutes”. “There was an article in Business Week magazine about Bumrungrad Hospital. I went home and logged on the Internet and made an appointment, and away I went to Thailand.”

It was after he had learned that the bypass surgery would cost him a little over an eighth ($12,000) of what it would back home in the United States.

The “60 Minutes” reporter described the hospital as a sort of United Nations of healthcare by virtue of the wide arrays of its foreign patients, thousands of whom come to Thailand to seek affordable yet high-quality treatment.

“It’s sort of Ground Zero. I haven’t heard anybody yet who’s told us that they take more than 350,000 international patients a year,” Curt Schroeder, the hospital’s CEO, said on the programme.

Bonnewell himself handpicked cardiologist Dr Chad Wanishawad to be his surgeon after learning on the hospital’s website that Chad had once practised at the National Institute of Health in Maryland.

“Every doctor that I saw [at the hospital] has practised in the United States,” added Bonnewell, who a mere three days after checking in the hospital was already on the operating table. Two weeks later he was back home.

He was feeling new. “[It feels] wonderful. I wish I’d found them sooner,” Bonnewell enthused. “Because I went through a year [without a bypass], I was in a bad shape. I couldn’t walk across the room.”

The nursing and aftercare were also top-notch, he added. “I found it so strange in Thailand because they were all registered nurses. Being in a hospital in the United States, we see all kinds of orderlies, all kinds of aides, maybe one RN on duty on the whole floor of the hospital,” Bonnewell offered. “In Thailand, I bet I had eight RNs just on my section of the floor alone. First-class care.”

That is just what Bumrungrad Hospital prides itself on: top-notch medical care. That, and affordable prices. What with less expensive labour costs and the absence of the threat of malpractice suits, the hospital can provide five-star treatment (from chemotherapy to plastic surgery) at two-star prices.

Kim Atwater from Bend, Oregon, was another satisfied interviewee at “60 Minutes”. While vacationing in Thailand, she decided to combine sightseeing with a facelift, she said.

The interviewer asked her whether she was nervous about having an operation done in Thailand.

“Yes, yes, I was somewhat hesitant about having any type of operation in a foreign country, and it turned out to be, I mean, it was beyond my expectations,” she said.

It was well within her travel budget: $1,500, including a private room. “It’s much nicer than any that I’ve ever stayed in the United States,” Atwater added. The rooms looked much more like hotel rooms than hospital rooms, she said.

“Part of the concept was to create an environment when people came in they didn’t feel like they’re in a hospital. Because nobody really wants to go to a hospital,” Schroeder said.

Bonnewell is planning to return later this year for another check-up. That will entail a gruelling 22-hour flight, but that may not be without its upside, either.

“We do have a very unique relationship with Thai Airways,” Schroeder said. “So you can buy a ticket [and] use frequent flier mileage to get your check-up.”

Yes I saw that story on 60 minutes. There is a similar hospital in India. What a concept! If I needed major surgery, I would seriously consider Bumrungrad (sounds like a town in Russia). Just think while you are in recovery, you would be in good hands under the care of the head nurse!

Hello Gentlemen (and ladies, that's cool, too!)

Quite excited for my first post in what has become my "alternative dating bible". A new religion I'm trying on. This site is the best! I've been using it for months now, everytime I travel somewhere. Thanks to all.

Anyway, I need some help. I'm heading back to BBK and I want to enjoy other cultures (girls)- such as Indian, Sir Lankan, E.European, Russian, etc. I've been grabbing Thai every time I come there (not complaining at all!) but I'm feeling adventerous. Any thoughts on where a gentleman monger can practice his trade (and help the local economy) with some alternative cultures? All I know about is CM2, but that has been a bust for me on multiple occasions. Maybe I go too early?

Help me, help others. Thanks.

In case any of you guys would like to see what type of girl Kohn Thai find attractive then an excellent TV show, with some super-hot chicks is Yai Dua Rai Gan Nai Buan (every day 18:15, Channel 7).

Incidentally, my favourite TV show is Heng Heng Heng (Saturday 11:15, Channel 7). No hot girls in this, but at this time on a Saturday morning I am normally waking up with one.

Sometimes you don't know if it is just a tourist you're chatting to, but after a few minutes they normally start talking money. They normally hunt in packs of three to four and tend to have a slightly evil, run-down, but sexy look in their eyes.

Stickers ban free sex on tourist island

BANGKOK: -- Tourists arriving on Thailand's southern resort island of Pha-ngan are to be issued with stickers stating the island's ban on 'free sex', following government concern over visitors having sexual intercourse in public places.

The decision follows pleas by Khon Kaen Senator Rabiabrat Pongpanit to prevent tourists on the island having sex in public after the island's notorious Full Moon parties.

Today Mr. Pramoth Supyen, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)'s Southern Office Region 5, warned that although it would be difficult to ban the parties, which were an important source of revenue for the island, the police would put a halt to them if they were alerted to tourists having sex in public places.

Noting that tourists should be aware that Thailand is not a place to have public sexual intercourse, he warned that tourists having free sex could be arrested.

The TAT will inform tourists that public sex is banned under the Thai law by issuing stickers and leaflets to residents of the island's hotels and guesthouses outlining the legal position.

[Quote: Can anyone please guide. Where in Bangkok a couple can have fun?]

Last time my ex girlfriend (bi, as have been all my falang GF's since my mid 20's!) came to BKK I took her to the Eden Club. She blew the roof off. All the girls were jostling to be chosen. We got the giant party room (thanks Marc!) and had a great time!

Also went to the Cave (now renamed, forget new name, Demonia I think) on Soi 33, and had a similar experience. Let my GF choose the girls of her choice, and off we went with 2 TG's for a long wet night back at the hotel room.

Other nights, in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, we just went to beer bars, and she chose the girl she wanted for a 3some. Always best to do it this way, saves many problems later! She never failed when she was in the mood. And it soon became obvious whether or not the BG was up for it. If not, we just moved on because the next one would be!

Just tour the bars as a couple, relax and let your partner do the work, and you will have no trouble! Plenty to choose from. And it suprised me how many Thai girls would do a 3some with a falang girl when I could not get them to perform previously with a Thai girl!

Have a great time, and be sure to post your experiences!

Folks,

Curious to know: from what you gather from meeting with mongers, do you think that sex addiction is a major problem?

I mean many adults like to go to the bar now and then. But going to the bar so frequently that it takes over your life means you are an alcoholic.

Similarly sexalcoholism is a problem too. Do you find yourself seeing ladies because sex is so often on your mind? Do you get sex because it has become a main objective in your weekly routine?

I had this problem maybe 2 yrs ago. I saw a SW every 2 weeks. But recently I developed a minor STD and though it was cured I decided to slow down. In retrospect, I overdid the whole sex thing. I even visited the LOS for the best few days of my life (not due to the sex, I was stuck in Phuket when the tsunami came but I made some friends there and had clean, healthy fun with not a drop of sex - free sex was offered by a friend: smart Thai girl but I rejected it: I can't believe that now).

After ending the 2-year sex rampage I am at a crossroads - I do not enjoy sex that much. I am spending far more time on my job, sports, health, good eating, my family, reading and friends. Money had never been an issue. But I believe I am happier.

I wonder if I was suffering from a mild case of sexalcoholism.

Take care guys. Make sure you are doing this because you want to and not due to an addiction.

Hello folks,

Can someone direct me to a place in LOS where I can find Indian girls? I have been with girls from every culture (paid or otherwise). Though I am of Indian origin (Asian-Indian), I have never slept with a girl of my own race. That really sucks because I really have the hots for them. But they seem to be so rare in the sex trade. I wonder how they are in bed. Guys help me out here - I do not want to die before having sex with a girl of my own race.

I recently went to India and tried to monger. But the entire scene was so monger-unfriendly that I lost all desire in the sexual department. If interested you can read my experience in the India section of this glorious board.

You may say that I have recently been spitting out philosophy of anti-mongering. No, don't get me wrong - I only want to encourage safe sex. And be gentle to these lovable, gentle girls. Especially if they are nice to you. I have only been chastened my by STD experience.

MS Clive,

I guess you experienced the same symptoms like SA, who told us that it's getting old after a while and that other things will take over.
I agree with that because I often feel the same or at least something similar.
I am not fed up with sex at all but with the scene. It's always the same and the real diamonds can't be found in a Gogo or bar. The best girls are regulars and non P4P.

TAT slashes hotel prices in Bt500 promotion

BANGKOK: -- The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) today announced the launch of a mass tourism promotion drive which will see hotel prices slashed to as little as Bt500.

Based at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, the TAT event from 12-15 May will mark the third consecutive year of the TAT's focus on weekday tourism.

Last year the event attracted over 100,000 visitors, generating revenues of Bt187 million.

TAT Governor Juthamas Siriwan told reporters that over 500 tourism operators were participating in this year's event, many of whom were cutting accommodation prices from Bt1,500 to as little as Bt500.

Visitors to the event will also have the chance to purchase Bangkok Airways return flights tickets from as little as Bt3,000, and to buy cut-price spa and golf packages, with discounts of up to 50 percent.

Anyone making purchases of at least Bt1,000 at the event will have the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win anything from a top car to hotel accommodation.

Mrs. Juthamas voiced confidence that this year's event would draw over 300,000 visitors, and would generate no less than Bt300 million revenues.

How the other half thinks:

________________

"More British citizens visit Thailand than those of any other non-Asian country. In 2003 (the last year for which full figures are available) some 545,000 British residents arrived on visits. If you remove the children, and the British citizens visiting for business or reasons other than a holiday, you arrive at about 489,000—314,000 men and 175,000 women. That is 139,000 more British men than women coming to Thailand for a holiday—a gap of 28 per cent.

So why so many Brits? Koldowski thought that the backpacker tourists might account for the gap—young British males, following the traditional trail through southeast Asia to see mates or relatives in Australasia. But the average British arrival is aged 40, I pointed out.

He became tetchy. "Look, if you are really researching the social factors of this, you should consider if men might come here because they're fed up with the ball-breaking females they have to deal with at home. Maybe they want to meet the sort of gentle, beautiful, kind-hearted women they'll find here." This seemed to answer my question. The men are here for sex and, of course, golf. Or both. Female golf caddies who double as prostitutes are, anecdotally, one of the special features of the courses of Thailand.

Westerners form an important—albeit not the major—part of this economic picture. A few have settled here because of it, calling themselves "sexpatriates." In towns like Pattaya on the Gulf of Thailand, on Phuket island and in the sex trade districts of Bangkok, they run bars, hotels and brothels, mediating the transactions between male tourists and Thai women. They are vocal on websites and in local publishing ventures, churning out guides for sex tourists. Some of these men see themselves as exiles, refugees from the "feminazis" who are crushing the spirit of the western male. Here, the old order of the sexes still reigns. Women know their place, they wash your feet before they have sex with you, they say thank you and help you in the shower afterwards. And, of course, westerners' savings and pensions go a long way. Beer is a dollar a bottle, and a woman for the night available for £10 or less. It's the "last place you can be a white man," says one bar-owning sexpat on his website.

Their guidebooks picture a world of grasping, stupid peasant girls, known as "LBFMs" (little brown fucking machines), out to entrap and rip off the honest, randy male visitor, who must treat them firmly and be sure to stamp out any nonsense for the sake of the next bloke who comes along. Books like Sex, Lies & Bar Girls are available in mainstream shops, including at Bangkok airport. They are full of robust advice on "scrogging" as many Thai women in as short a time and for as little money as possible.

And the gains to be had are fabulous. The price of sex from a street prostitute in Nana starts at perhaps 500 baht, a little over £7. That is a fortnight's living costs in the countryside, or half a week's salary for a Thai police constable. There is little doubt that the sex trade is vital to the economy of the poor northeast, which is another of the well-rehearsed justifications of the sexpats. Tales of bar girls who retire rich and happy to their home villages—some of them with a farang (foreign) husband—are many, and there is no social disgrace attached. "The land a girl child ploughs lies between her legs," goes a saying from rural Thailand. But some women are broken in the process, and on my street, occasionally, you can see the damage that results.

Soi Nana is not like the grim red light districts of London or New York, with their backdrop of organised crime, violence, and drug use. The only fight I have seen on Nana was between drunken Englishmen. Amphetamines are widely used by the prostitutes, it is said, but not heroin. I have spotted one used syringe in the gutter in our four years here: there was worse to be seen nightly on the crack-infected street in west London where we used to live. Most women soliciting rich-world foreigners are relatively free agents. Their worst affliction appears to be the corrupt Bangkok police. In Thailand, the industry is not generally pimp-driven and, although technically illegal, its openness undoubtedly provides some protection for women. The sex tourist is more likely to visit a bar or a massage parlour than a traditional "closed" brothel (these appear to be more common for the domestic sex trade).

Travelling to Thailand for sex will continue. The brand is established. The beautiful young woman wrapped in silk with her demure but inviting smile is a feature of Thai travel posters across the world. The promise is of "happiness on earth"—the delights of paradise just a cheap flight away. Most of the traditional tourist attractions are disappearing. The country's beaches are overexploited, its forests shrinking and the islands poisoned by tourists' waste. But Thailand and its neighbours retain one renewable resource for the tourists that is not in danger of running out—the supply of poor, smiling women".

I have been trying for that too in BKK. I found one mixed Indian-Chinese about a year back at the Thermae. On my visit last week in BKK, I came across a cute one working at the Indian food stall in Robinsons. I talked to her for about 10 minutes and it seemed she could be persuaded to go out. Alas, I had a prior engagement with another TG and being the last evening, had to back out.

You might try her out. Good luck.

Dengue fever spreading as virus mutates
Published on May 10, 2005

Changes in the genetic makeup of the dengue virus are suspected of being the main reason why the disease is more virulent this year, with at least 10 deaths reported in the past five months.

The Disease Control Depart-ment is waiting for results from tests on virus samples taken from dengue patients to confirm the theory.

They include samples from the latest severe case - that of 13-year-old Phumiphat Pholsom-boonchoke, who remains in a coma at Bangkok’s Ramathibodi Hospital.

Phumiphat’s case triggered official and public alerts when his name appeared in the media as a dengue patient in need of group B blood transfusions, due to internal bleeding caused by a severe form of the disease.

After an urgent meeting yesterday the Public Health Ministry issued a nationwide dengue epidemic alert. A so-called war room is being set up to fight the epidemic.

Disease Control Department head Dr Thawat Suntharacharn said every patient with a high fever needed to be checked for dengue virus as a standard precautionary measure.

If virus tests currently being conducted showed a significant genetic change in the dengue virus, urgent “maximum measures” would have to be carried out in the epidemic area, at the source of the infection, said Dr Kitti Pramatpol, head of the department’s dengue fever control division.

This would involve a huge number of health workers being deployed as a team to completely destroy mosquitoes and mosquito breeding grounds in the epidemic area. Then they would move on to other areas.

“Only small genetic changes to the virus have a significant effect on an epidemic pattern and the virulence of the disease,” Kitti told The Nation.

Moreover, each of the four types of dengue virus common in Thailand had a number of sub-types and any change to any one of them could cause alarming trouble.

He said the current dengue alert at hospitals was high enough, but private clinics were a concern, and had to be alerted because of the difficulties of diagnosing dengue in its early stages.

The case of 13-year-old Phumiphat was a perfect example of this concern. He first attended a clinic and was treated without dengue being diagnosed. Only later, when his condition deteriorated and he needed hospital treatment was he found to be suffering from dengue fever.

Kitti conceded that the incidence of dengue fever this year appeared more serious than last year. However, it was still not as bad as in 2003, when 50 people died from the disease.

More than 6,000 cases of dengue fever had been reported from January to the end of April. Ten of them have resulted in death - six more than in the same period last year.

The epidemic is expected to worsen in the coming rainy season, from now until August.

Was in Bangkok late last year, sorry for the lateness.

Well, I did meet a few university girls but did not stay long enough to cultivate a 'fun' relationship. Went over to a good looker who was alone with my map open and asked for directions. I did this by Silom Center. I did get their names and phone numbers and did meet one the next day for a snack at the shopping center (she goes there from school). Got very friendly and she offered to help show me around the city Saturday when she had some free time and I asked if she would help me do gift shopping and do some shopping for her for taking me around. She said she could spend the whole day with me.

Unfortunately business intervened on Saturday and I had to cancel, leaving on Monday. But taking things slowly I feel with give LONG term results. She was around 22, typical cute girl and fun loving. At least when we had separated on Thursday I did get a friendly kiss on the lips that got my engine running. Well maybe a little bit more than just friendly.

Be sur43 to go to Silom Center or any shopping mall and either get a prepaid sim card for your phone or just buy a used phone and sim card. Total cost for phone, charger and sim card with some minutes on it was around 37usd. Great way of keeping connected - and I don't mean with calling home.

I hired a cab for the current going price of 100THB or about 2.50 usd. Whenever I needed to get around or go touring, called him on my cell and he picked me up. He'd also wait while either touring or doing business. I got to know the driver and wasn't worried about being ripped off. I ALWAYS roundrd the fare to the next highest 100 THB and sometimes tipped him. It was nice to call from my room and have someone I knew waiting downstairs for me to take me around. 100THB per hour was the standard rate for all cab drivers - don't pay more (except now with price of gas higher, maybe a little more.)

Thats really sick. That guy should be strung up by his balls. It is sad to say that he is not the only perv who is doing that in the LOS. He just happened to get caught!

Freeler,

Johnny Marr (who is not gay) was the lead guitar player of the Smiths. Morrisey was the lead singer (who is quite gay).

the traveler is the only poster here who has admitted to statutory [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123); ie to fucking children/child prostitutes. i have reported such activity to the police on a variety of occasions. as several newspaper reports posted here make plain, this stuff goes on everywhere, thailand, kenya (where troll wants to go) and cambodia.

as most of you know, terry troll is a waste of space here. he makes all kinds of empty allegations. he claims to know the hooker areas of manchester where he lives and then shows he does; he overpays in bangkok on his first or second trip and then claims to be an expert. he peers at monks from a distance and then asks a question which i answer. he shoots his mouth off about the faqs and he has to be told he is wrong. he claims i have hepatitis for some reason. terry is a troll and should only open his mouth when one of the eden skanks who over charge him is pissing her golden syrup into it.

the rest of you should wonder why he insists on using bandwidth here to defend the only person here who has admitted to breaking thailand's child prostitute laws.

"...manchester where he lives" - i don't live in manchester.

"...and i answer" - where is your answer?

"...he overpays in bangkok on his first or second visit" - so what?

"...claims to be an expert" - no i don't. you are the only 'know-it-all' in this section (even though you can't speak thai?!?!?!)

"...he shoots his mouth off about the faqs" - the faqs were not a solo effort. you were assisted by freeler and joe zop, but you like to boast that they were a solo effort.

"...pissing her golden syrup into it" - i dont, and have never claimed to indulge in '[CodeWord117] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord117)'.

"...i have hepatitis" - yes, and it's about time you made a full and frank confession about the std's you have hinted at contracting. then you can talk with some authority about them and their surrounding issues.

domino,

i thought we just agreed to stop that bullshit !!!

anyway, just because i admitted to have run into a 17+yrs old prostitute and dared to warn others about her, you can't compare me with some pervert who fucks 11yr old kids, that's sick.

the fact that i was honest and voluntarily admitted a mistake to help others to avoid the very same mistake and to make them more sensible for the prob, doesn't mean that dishonest people like you and freeler haven't done the same, with or without knowing. so come down from your high moral grounds and finally stop your little personal war against me.

you claimed several times - as you just did again - that you have reported such activities to the police on a variety of occasions.

i wonder how you got those infos ?
if i am in a gogo or at a bar i do not know if the customer next to me is picking up a legal or ****d girl.
do you also check ids of girls from other customers ?
or do you hang out at places where ****d can be taken ?

honesty

suppose you have a friend - besides freeler and bill - who travels with you and who intends to take a bargirl. it is 2am and he couldn't find anything appropriate for the night and suddenly he sees that stunning 17+yr old bargirl. of course you would try to tell him that it is wrong, but he is horny (maybe even drunk if you need an excuse for him) and not willing to change his mind.
what would you do ?

would you call police too and ruin his holiday or even his life ?
or would you let it happen ?

see your misery ?
if you say yes, nobody will believe you and know that you are dishonest and do lie.
if you say no, it would show us that you have double standards and don't really care about this issue.

don't try to tell us that this is fictional and your friends wouldn't do something like that. the only fiction in that story is, that police would care about a 17+yr old prostitute.

i am also well aware that you and freeler pmed other members to ask for their support before you started to try to lynch me, because some of them have told me. this is not the behaviour of honest persons who are just embarrassed. this is a planned attack for your very own little reasons.

you also nuked everybody who supported me by calling them ****s as well. you knew that nobody wants to be suspected being a **** and tried to silence those who dared to disagree with you instead of argueing with them. your only arguments consist of name calling and a few lines of the thai prostitution and prevention act which you obviously haven't understood. you ignore the obvious, my posted pics and other members who have spent lots of time with me. the fact alone that i warned others that the girl was 17+yr old is prove enough that i am not what you call me.
did you never made a mistake without intention ?
if yes, do you have the balls to admit it ?

i never quoted from a pm so far, even in the heat of the battle, because i believe a pm should be kept confidential, but in this case i make an exception. jackson had the chance to stop it many times by issue warnings to those who constantly violate the forum rules and flame other members. he preferred to stand by and watch, being a neutral moderator who obviously does not moderate and does not enforce his own rules. therefore i decided to quote what he wrote to me (dated 02-15-04 at 20:54) after you started your character assassination :

hi,

i understood your story about the **** chicks immediately. you thought she was old enough, and afterwards, you discovered that she wasn't because she had lied to you, and you wanted to advise other members about how easy it is to be deceived. simple. end of story.

personally, i think the other members were either deliberatly mis-understanding your intent, or they were just looking for an excuse to start an argument, or both.

thanks,

i know that most - if not all - of you are sick of that discussion just like me.

most of you will say, ignore him. i tried, but he kept going. it's also quite easy to say that as a bystander who isn't the target of those accusations. i wouldn't mind if he just calls me names, but calling me a **** - besides comparing me with nazis - is one of the worst accusations possible. his constant repetitions are just an attempt to stigmatize me.

domino - and in part freeler - is a disgrace to this forum. he constantly violates the forum rules by flaming other members and discussing sex with minors.

he believes to have an audience here and as long as you don't speak out and tell him that nobody is interested in it, it will go on forever.

maybe the only way to end it, is to let him know what you think about the whole thing or just tell him to stop.. it will be a waste of bandwith for a few days and he might call you being a **** too but hopefully it will finally have an end.

it's up to you.

Chuwit: Immigration skimming tourist cash

Immigration police extort hundreds of millions of baht each year from foreign tourists wanting to extend their stay or change their visa, Deputy Chart Thai party leader Chuwit Kamolvisit says.

The Immigration Bureau was plagued with corruption, he said.

The amount of money demanded varied depending on the tourist's nationality.

Indian, Burmese and Chinese tourists were asked to pay 8,000 baht each if they wanted to renew their visas. Indian tourists wanting to extend their stay for 30 more days would be asked to pay 5,000 baht. The fee climbed to 7,000 baht if a tourist wanted to extend for another 60 days, with Chinese tourists being charged 8,000 baht.

European tourists wanting to renew their visas were charged 1,500 baht each, since they were normally subject to less scrutiny, Mr Chuwit said.

They were also not required to go to the Immigration Bureau or immigration checkpoints, he said.

However, tourists from Asean countries wanting to renew their visas were required to submit requests themselves.

He claimed immigration checkpoints such as Aranyaprathet and Mae Sot checkpoints had to give one million baht a year to central authorities.

Immigration chief Pol Lt-Gen Amarin Niamsakul said Mr Chuwit's remarks undermined the bureau's standing. He threatened to bring a lawsuit against him if Mr Chuwit could not back up his allegations.

Earlier, a Hong Kong tourist complained to a Hong Kong newspaper that immigration police at Don Muang airport demanded 130,000 baht from him when he tried to enter the country last month.

The officers claimed he had left the country after an earlier visit in 2002 without a departure stamp, according to the news report.

Pol Lt-Gen Amarin said his office would liaise with the Thai consulate in Hong Kong and investigate the allegation.

1. you broke thailand's chhld prostitution law as did the guy in the most recent report. you can make all the mitigating statements you like but you broke the law not once but several times.
2. it does not matter what anybody else thinks. you broke the law. that is the key fact and it is one you still have trouble admitting to.
3. you also gave a mo for people to break the same law, thailand's child prostitution law.
4. you do not warn other people. witness the fact that you still do not check ids.
5. yes i have reported child sex to the police and i have reported the when and where here. i don't do this any more. but anyone with a pair of eyes can see that for themselves.
6. you do suppositions again, "supposing".no, i don't still beat my wife and i will not hang around ****s. there was one time, many years ago, guys were egging me on to hit someone. i was going to, with very good reason, hit the 20 year old guy they wanted me to hit. turns out the guy had the weakest heart imaginable. anyone hitting him would have killed him. so i would have been up for murder, manslaughter with mitigating circumstances.
7. this theme has been done to death. there has recently been a long and beneficial period of quiet on it, which probably benefits everyone.
8. i am not going to reform you. but i do know some others, unconnected to either of us, have given the matter consideration and have done such simple things as check id to ensure they don't land in the shit.
[quote=the traveler]domino, doesn't mean that dishonest people like you and freeler .. [are kiddy fuckers] ..your high moral grounds .....suppose .... he sees that stunning 17+yr old bargirl ........... if you say yes......if you say no........, this is exactly what joe zop did on the thread to get you off the hook. oh and if terry troll is reading (which he probably is as he has fuck all else to do) the woman zop unfairly and unethically dragged in to the argument gave me the clap and i admitted to it hereat the time to warn others and i had written about her and the clap dose she gave me on many occasions. her photo is the first photo on the photo section. but terry is a digression, a total waste
i am also well aware that you and freeler pmed other members to ask for their support before you started to try to lynch me, because some of them have told me. this is not the behaviour of honest persons who are just embarrassed. this is a planned attack for your very own little reasons.

you also nuked everybody who supported me by calling them ****s as well.

the skinless-traveler-freeler sequence is plain to see on the relevant thread. i was a late comer to the argument so bye bye your conspiracy theory. neither freeler nor i think you are worth the time discussing with each other let anyone else. i, on the other hand, have posted pms your friends were circulating about what great fun tag teaming me was.
as regards jackson: he tries a hands off approach and he is immaterial to thai law.
i didn't nuke "everybody"; i did respond to the main culprits and a few clowns. i didn't call them ****s though i admit i responded in kind to some of your tag team.
i can understand how you feel. look at all the names yourself and terry troll call me. i have zoomed in on one thing with you for a reason but you and terry troll have called me everything imaginable, all without foundation you can't even use jackson without calling jackson names. luckily, i simply regard terry troll as a waste of space. you knew that nobody wants to be suspected being a **** even ****s? and tried to silence those who dared to disagree with you instead of argueing with them. your only arguments consist of name calling pot definitely calling the kettle black and a few lines of the thai prostitution and prevention act which you obviously haven't understood. and you definitely do not understand that you broke that law!! you ignore the obvious, my posted pics yur self incriminating evidence and other members who have spent lots of time with me. a michael jackson argument. you avoid the very obvious: that you broke the law the fact alone that i warned others that the girl was 17+yr old is prove enough that i am not what you call me. and admitted your crime in the process,
did you never made a mistake without intention ?
if yes, do you have the balls to admit it ? see my comments above on getting the clap. it was not deliberate.

jackson...... as freeler pointed out in the thread, your actions gave the possibility of briging the entire site down. and also, to avoid mistakes in the future: ask for ids. it is really that simple

On the one occasion I met other posters from this forum (Juice Spike, 1ball, The Traveler, Bizaro) in LOS, it had been hoped that Domino would turn up also. It's easy to write shit from behind a faceless internet persona, and I was curious to find out if the 'real' people bore any resemblance to those personas. I was particularly interested in meeting Domino. I've always found it hard to believe that somebody with his intelligence could be that crazy, and I suspected that he was really just a wind-up merchant of the highest order. Sadly, he was the only no-show.

Domino
05-12-05, 10:07
Agreed Dinghy. It is boring. And thank you for your impartial civility in all of this. But there are some flamers here, some more recent than others.
1. I choose who I wish to meet. If I decide to meet someone I almost invariably show up on time. I have no desire now or in any future life to meet scum like Terry Troll. Nor did I ever arrange to meet him as I only meet scum when I have a very good reason to.
2. The Traveler is a slightly different proposition. He seems a friendly character (so I hear) but I have no desire to meet him as I am sure he has no great desire to meet me. And that is fine with me as it should be with him.
3. Take a common denominator here: Biergarten. Most of us have been there several times and most of us, I am sure, have met other guys there, some nice, some not so nice. Characters differ and that should be respected. Same as Nana Plaza: I have been in it less than a hand full of times and I have no desire to go there or to a sex show, ever.
4. I see no reason to ever meet several posters here and I see no reason why they should want to meet me.
5. I may meet Freeler again in LOS later this year but I am choosy as to who I meet. As is he. And neither of us, I am sure, wish to meet.
6. I take a lot of what The Traveler says on board and I know where he may, conceivably, be coming from. If it wasn't for the fact that I regard Terry Troll as an idiot, I might get upset at all the shit he says about me.
7.I have no desire to continue this but I will/may comment when others post about criminal and illegal activity (which sparked this recent spat) or dangerous/unadvisable activity (not checking ID and going into places like The Dogs Bollox).
8 I was going to comment on Coma Boy's excellent Chiang Mai informational posts but as I am tired ( I was out law breaking with adults today but no sex involved), I won't. I wil instead give us all a rest.
9. And it would be nice if The Traveler and his little dog stayed out of the Samus Aran section or at least did not go in there solely to start fights.

last week was in pattya, was staying at the sunshine hotel. for those of you have stayed in it, know that there are two parallel building wings, the old and the new. i happened to stay in the old looking accross to the new.

one afternoon, i happened to glance up and saw a young thai boy (probably around 15/16) come out of a room wrapped in a towel around his waist, to lay out some washing on the balconey. then an old pot bellied and bald white falang came to the sliding door similarly attired and saw me looking at them. he immediately pulled the boy in, closed the door and the drapes. the whole incident happened in 10-15 seconds.

this incident has bothered me. what should i have done. should i have reported this to the hotel? should i have talked to the authorities? what if i was wrong about the boy's age? the thais look young most of the time.

Okay, so everybody's made a point (several times over), so can we now get back to General Thai sex info [of the legal kind]? This is supposed to be a forum for discussing the sex industry, not analysing people's alleged personal behaviours.

Anyway, a question about bar girls. If they work in a bar where we get bar fined for taking them out (so they're definitely not freelancers), is it safe to assume they're of a legal age? It seems a little rude to ask for ID!

Here at home, people who've never been outside their own backyard, give the following advice:

if you compare your posts with mine you will see that style and wording does differ a lot. you use to keep calling me names like ****, kiddy fucker, compare me to nazis and much more. i never used any bad wording, this is not my style. i do not lack of self control like you. i only raised questions. it's up to you what you want to read between the lines.

read below, you added "[kiddy fucker]" into your quote, but i only said that you might have already been running into an ****d prostitute yourself without knowing, but not being honest enough to admit that this is a possibility. she might have provided a faked id or whatever. i wouldn't call you a kiddy fucker for that but if this is your preferred term for yourself, i have no objection.

your assumption is correct, i have no great desire to meet you, but i guess it would be quite interesting. would like to see if you dare to accuse me face to face and maybe you would change your mind - or confirm your accusations - when we finally meet.

Traveler: You told us you don't check ID, that's how we know. Now, we don't like each other, so just stop replying. And, if the Samus Aran section is quiet, don't go in there attacking him. Leave that to the little troll. When Samus hung around the Thai women section, he started a lot of worthwhile discussions. He has had his hinterland cut off from being isolated and the board is weaker as a result. Plus, Samus has moved on; in his balanced life, this board has taken on even less prominence than it previously had for him.

the id system is not foolproof. i was informed by a pattaya 'skank', with whom i've been friends for a while, that younger (****) sisters borrow older sisters' ids and that fake ids are not difficult to obtain. thailand is not a good place to target the really young (18-19 yo) women. it's better to stick with ones who are 20s and up. a bonus of this policy is that you will generally get a better service.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's health ministry warned size-obsessed men on Friday to avoid trying to enlarge their penises with liquid injections, saying it could cause deformities.

The warning followed media reports that male teenagers in central Thailand had rushed to have their penises injected with olive oil or other liquids.

"Injecting olive oil or any liquid into penises is extremely risky," Chatri Banchuin, chief of the Department of Medical Services, said after his office issued the public warning.

"By the time they know what actually happened, it is too late," he told Reuters. The practice of injecting liquids - everything from paraffin to lubricant gel - has gone on for decades, surgeons say, but their patients are getting younger.

"More and more patients are school age boys, not men in their 30s or 40s like in the past," said urologist Wachira Kochawkarn of Bangkok's Ramathibodi Hospital.

"At my hospital alone, I treat one or two patients a day who have such problems. Imagine the total number across the country?"

The public health warning issued earlier week urged men to be happy with their natural size.

"Sex satisfaction does not depend on penis size, but it involves love and mutual understanding," the ministry said.

Thailand moves head off dengue epidemic

BANGKOK: -- Thailand's Public Health Ministry on Friday announced a week-long mosquito eradication campaign in a bid to head off major outbreak of dengue fever over the next three months.

So far this year, the ministry said 7,215 had contracted the disease nationwide with 12 confirmed deaths. The latest victim was a young boy from Bangkok who died on Wednesday.

Health Minister Dr. Suchai Charoenratanakul told a media conference here that the eradication campaign, beginning in Bangkok on May 22, was aimed at preventing an epidemic of the mosquito-borne disease during the high-risk, rainy season months between June and August.

He said it was hoped the mosquito population would be halved during the campaign.

''Disease control squads must be sent in right away to every infected area...even if there has only been one case reported. Chemical sprays should be used and litter removed,'' the minister said.

There will also be a dengue awareness campaign conducted in schools across the country when the new semester starts next week. Children are among those at greatest risk from the disease.

PS Bring mosquito repellent.

the id system is not foolproof. i was informed by a pattaya 'skank', with whom i've been friends for a while, that younger (****) sisters borrow older sisters' ids and that fake ids are not difficult to obtain. thailand is not a good place to target the really young (18-19 yo) women. it's better to stick with ones who are 20s and up. a bonus of this policy is that you will generally get a better service.thanks, i thought as much. you're certainly right about older women giving better service - best lay i ever had was from somebody in their early 30s (i'm late 20s).

terry,

that's what i have told domino and freeler long ago.

i know a couple of girls who use to borrow the id of friends or relatives to enter discos if they had forgotten their own id back home.

this works even if the persons don't look similar, because most ids were made at the age of 16 when the girls still wear their school haircut, do not have any make-up on their faces and illumination is proper. when the bouncers check them, they wear different outfits, some make-up and different hair-style.

if a bouncer, who is also a thai and used to their looks can't estimate their age correctly and can be deceived, why do domino and freeler believe that they can't be deceived ?

the "no id, no go" is just good for peace of mind.
if they approach a girl who does look ****d but is able to provide an id which shows that she is of legal age - no matter if it is a faked or borrowed one - they will fuck her.

I am not going to reply to you anything you write for at least a week.

Domino,

I don't know if you lie by intention to make up a case or if your bad memory is the reason for it.

Even in my very first post I already said that I asked her for her ID, as I always do. She checked her purse to give it to me but couldn't find it and told me she left it at home. She lied but should I had searched her for an ID ?

I do check IDs, but it's no religion for me. I you only believe in IDs - as you and Freeler seem to do - it is quite easy to deceive you. I rather use my common sense. My system isn't foolproof, but yours isn't either.

Thailand to change name to 'Siam' - but keep 'Thailand'
New campaign to use 'Siam' and 'Thailand'

BANGKOK: -- An heir of Thailand's first interior and education minister has called for the government to alternately use 'Siam' and 'Thailand' as the offcial name of the Thai kingdom.

M.L. Panadda Disakul, the Deputy Governor of Pathum Thani Province on the outskirts of Bangkok, who is the heir of late Prince Damrong Rajanuparp, the first Thai interior and education minister, as well as the first Thai army chief,
noted that 'Siam' is a historically dignified and auspicious name, designated by King Rama IV, and it should be honourably preserved.

"Siam is an auspiciously dignified name, as it was designated by His Majesty King Rama IV, and it represents the longly-proud history of the Thai kingdom. So, it should be re-used as the official name of the Thai kingdom, alternately with Thailand", she said.

"An official campaign should be launched to promote the use of the alternate national name among Thai youths and the general public", she added.

She proposed the idea when she met Culture Minister Uraiwan Thienthong and senior Fine Arts Department officials yesterday.

M.L. Panadda is also the head of Prince Damrong Rajanuparp Museum and Library, where Mrs. Uraiwan and the senior officials visited yesterday.

She pointed out that many countries have more than one national name, such as the Netherlands and Holland; the United States and America; the Great Britain, the United Kingdom and England; Switzerland and Helvetia; Germany and Deutschland; and Japan and Nippon.

A previous Thai government changed the national name from 'Siam' to 'Thailand' in 1939 amid the opposition of a large number of Thais, she said.

juice,

i see you try to steer away from that guy's discussion.

i won't!
again he brings up a lame id-no-good story. okay, i was fooled once by a fake id... the girl used her 22yo twin-sister's id:(

"if they approach a girl who does look ****d"

that's something only a k****f***** would write.

no id no go!

Freeler,

Gladiator took a girl who claimed to be 18yrs old, looked like twenty and couldn't provide an ID.
I took a girl that claimed to be 20yrs old, looked like twenty and couldn't provide an ID.
The only difference between him and me was, that I did not pay upfront and put the money into her purse. There I saw an ID which says she was 17+yr old.

You and Domino keep attacking me for this for over a year now but you didn't even lost a word about Gladiator. Why ? Double standards ?

Nobody is able to exactly determine the age of another person just by looking at her.
Maybe his girl was 17+ too ? We don't know, he didn't check ID !

So is it OK to fuck a 17yr old in Kenya but it is wrong to fuck a 17yr old in LOS ?
Do you use your "NO ID, NO GO" everywhere or only if it is convienient ?

Gladiator said age of consent in Kenya is 16, absolutely correct.
I said that the age of consent in LOS is 15, absolutely correct too.
You and Domino keep denying it and misinterpret the Thai Law, but that doesn't change the facts.

Why not have a look at this link which Mr. Domino himself posted in the FAQ section ?

http://www.ageofconsent.com/ageofconsent.htm

Furthermore due to both of you it would be OK to fuck a 13yr old in Korea, because age of consent there is 13 !
You both are sick to the bones. You either have moral values which are valid everywhere or you have none at all.

===============================================

Gladiator, don't get me wrong. I do not blame your or accuse you of doing anything wrong. I just use this example to show that these folks do not care about the issue but only used it to start an argument, just as Jackson said.

Germany is what the English speaking world call Deutschland.

point is:
only a kiddyfucker want to look for excuses/ways to 'accidently' fuck an **** girl ie child.
we've discussed the meaning of ****d before concluding that 18- is too young, and jackson agreed. period.
normal men can handle women their own age. a kiddyfucker clearly can't.

Freeler,

I am not looking for excuses and can very well handle women of my age.
But people can be deceived, you too, and as long as you deny that you are a much bigger danger than me.
Shit happens, such is life.

Why you still avoid to answer the raised questions ?
Worry that an honest answer will kill your case or would make you look bad ?

traveler,

in this new attempt to excuse yourself for what you have done you are trying to compare oranges with apples.

in countries where girls don’t normally have id the standard procedure is, obviously, hunting girls without id. kenya has the added advantage that its age of consent is 16, so if a girl tells you that she is 18, 19 or 20 there is no reason whatsoever why she could be lying to you.

in countries where girls do have id’s, like thailand, the standard procedure is checking them in order to make sure that she is of legal age, that is, to ensure that she is at least 18 as otherwise you might end up locked for years in one of maha chai’s luxurious suites.

given that in thailand only **** girls and troublemakers tell you they don’t have id, if a guy goes around hunting girls with no id it is because either he is a complete newbie or he has a hidden agenda.

Gladiator: The above links give you some details on the laws in Thailand, Kenya (homosexuality a big no no) and Korea, where there is some confusion.
In Japan, where I reside, there has been confusion in the past where the official age of consent was quite low up to some years ago. However, anyone caught kiddy fucking would have been done for corrupting minors. Barely a day goes by now but someone gets jail for fucking an under 18 year old.

To read about the age of consent in Thailand or anywhere else, simply go to the http://www.ageofconsent.com and follow the link the Thailand or wherever. The chart is only a beginning. In Thailand, like many other places, the age of consent might be 15 (or whatever) but 18 for prostitution. Many countries have such variations and the reasons, I guess, are to do with the fact that the authorities view kids marrying or fucking kids as quite different from first world guys paying to fuck their kids.

Quite outside of the age of consent issue, we are paying to fuck these of age ladies. It is our money alone that is doing the talking. And, on that point, I was very disappointed Samus did not rise to Gladiator's nice bait.

You children sure do have a lot of time on your hands. This debate has not moved forward one inch in the past year. Same youngsters playing the same games in the same schoolyard. Ad nauseum.

Have you no shame, little boys? What will you talk about when (if) you grow up?
