The Hairdresser service is the best in the hotel.

Oily sexy massage is a cash extra for 100 RMB

The 3 girls I got were a 3, a 7 and a 9.

The 7 was the best for the BJ and massage, but the 9 was best for looks and her inexperience.

It's expected to cost less than US$50 to travel from Beijing to Lhasa on the new Qinghai-Tibet railway - a journey of more than 4,000 kilometers, said sources in Beijing.

In China, three types of train tickets are available at differing prices. The basic coach ticket, called a hard seat will sell for 389 yuan (US$48.6) from Beijing to Lhasa, while the price for hard sleeper or bunk will cost 813 yuan (US$101.6), and the price for a shared compartment or soft sleeper is 1,262 yuan (US$157.75).

For the 3,360-kilometer trip between Chengdu, provincial capital of southwest China's Chengdu province, and Lhasa, the hard seat price is 331 yuan (US$41.38), the hard sleeper price is 712 yuan (US$89), and the cost of a soft sleeper is 1,104 yuan (US$138).

For the trip between the southwest-located Chongqing, one of China's four municipalities, and Lhasa, a hard seat ticket for the 3,654-kilometer journey is 355 yuan (US$44.38), while the price for hard sleeper is 754 yuan (US$94.25), while a soft sleeper will cost 1,168 yuan (US$146).

Ticket prices from Lanzhou in northwest China to Lhasa, a trip of 2,188-kilometers, are: hard seat 242 yuan (US$30.25), hard sleeper 552 yuan (US$69), and soft sleeper price 854 yuan (US$106.25).

From Qinghai's provincial capital Xi'ning to Lhasa, which is 1,972 kilometers, the hard seat price is 226 yuan (US$28.25), the hard sleeper price is 523 yuan (US$65.38), and the soft sleeper price is 810 yuan (US$101.25).

The Qinghai-Tibet railway has began trial operations on 1 July 2006.

The world's highest railway, extends 1,956 kilometers from Xining to Lhasa. Some 960 kilometers of its tracks are located 4,000 meters above sea level and the highest point is 5,072 meters, at least 200 meters higher than the Peruvian railway in the Andes, which was formerly the world's highest altitude railway.

Tibet-Qinghai Rail Packages Now on Sale

The first Qinghai-Tibet railway tour packages to depart from Shanghai will be on July 16. Packages went on sale yesterday.

An eight-day tour costs 12,000 yuan (US$1,500) for foreign passport holders. The price includes a travel permit, meals, accommodation and all transportation. The entry permit to Tibet can only be purchased with a tour package. Chinese travelers will pay 7,500 yuan each as they don't have to purchase a permit to enter the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Two options are available.

The first includes a flight to enter Tibet and a departure via the Qinghai-Tibet railway. The train stops in Xining, Qinghai Province.

The train between Xining and Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, takes 20 hours. Trains depart from Xining every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Days 2 through Day 5 includes a tour of Potala Palace, Lhasa's biggest landmark, Jokhang Temple, as well as Lake Yamdroktso, one of Tibet's three holy lakes.

Tourists will see Tibetan sculptures and paintings in Gyantse, as well as Nojin Kangtsang Glacier.

Travelers return to Lhasa on the sixth day and take the train to Xining. The route passes Nagqu Town and Gelmu City in Qinghai. The group stays in Xining one night and returns to Shanghai via plane.

The second package goes the opposite way. Travelers fly to Xining, take the train to Lhasa and then a flight back to Shanghai, via Chengdu.

"More tour packages will be released this summer," said Wang Jiping, general manager of Shanghai Odyssey Travel Agency, the biggest agency specializing in Tibet tours.

Wang also suggested flying to Lhasa first as accommodations in Xining are almost fully booked for the first several weeks of the new rail route. Travelers can also contact a travel agent about a new flight from Xi'an to Lhasa.

Just for you all to know...

The Holiday Inn has changed name to the Lhasa Hotel not that that matters because the taxi drivers do even recognize the word Hotel. If you are staying at a hotel within 2 blocks west of Potala or anywhere east, the best way I found to tell the taxi drivers is just with hand directions. Get to Beijing Xi Lu road and head west. The next intersection past the huge Wella salon on the right (not stoplight but 4 way intersection) on the south east corner is the Lhasa Hotel. It still has the green colored sign so that makes it a bit easier. I went about 12:00pm before an afternoon flight and it was closed. The hours of operation are 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Sorry I can’t tell you if the services were still available.

There is a health club on a side road off the hotel drive way that offers massage. However I didn’t check it out either.

I was staying at the century hotel and the massage services were legit there.
