Greetings everyone,

I've started this new thread to provide a centralized location to catalog the Forum's best travel reports. Here's the idea:

If you have written one or several detailed travel reports, or if you know of such reports, then please post the link here.

You may also include a short summary of the nature of the report.

A sample report would be something like this:

You can copy and paste the link into a report, or you can do it the easy way and use the tags, which you would format like this:

[post]Post ID number here

You can identify the Post ID by moving your mouse pointer over the "Quote" button and reading the Post ID number in the Status Bar at the bottom of your browser window. It's the last number at the end of the link text, just after the letters "p=".

Please note: In order for this thread to be effective, it cannot turn into a discussion forum. I don't want to have to be so tough about this, but any reports that do not include a link to another report will be deleted.

Used to post under another name but have rejoined. I notice that there is not so much written about Yangon which is ashamed. I traveled there last last year and followed some advice from an expat posting. Here is the report of 4 nights of fun in Yangon. Firstly, the city is easy to get to and the airport is also easy to navigate in and out of. I stayed at the Parkway Summitt as it was situated next to the bars I wanted to visit. The best bar was Pioneer club and it was full of some very attractive girls. I must say that they girls were a lot better looking than I had expected and they were also very easy to approach and talk to. I am an older guy although look after myself know when to make the right eye contact. Took a girl from the club on the first night and cost was about 50 USD. She stayed about 4 hours. Most girls preferred to go home and that suited me anyway.

The second night I tried the bar at the Park Hyatt but found it to be the same as all the other high end bars in hotels around Asia. Some good looking girls there who looked hungry but the night was young and I did not take anything from there. I decided to try Emperor to see what it was like. Found it to be very similar to all the clubs I used to visit in Dongguan with a lot of girls and waiters pushing you for drinks. Did not feel all tha comfortable so left and headed to Pioneer again. This time picked up two girls but I remembered that it is not easy to take two back to the hotel. Settled on a stunner who spent most of the night with me. Gave he the 50 USD and a tip of 50 USD for the performance. The next night I headed to JDs (similar to Emperor) but I think a nicer setup. Some very attractive girls there and then I saw the friend of the girl I took the night before. Agreed to go with her to another club (cannot recall the name but is was near the Lake) and there she called her friend (the night before girl) and we all had a great time at the club. We left there around 2 am and headed back to Pioneer. In the end I decided to try and sneak the 2 girls into the room abd was told that the only way to do that was to pay another guest fee. Decided that it was not worth the stress so I took the girl from the night before and gave her friend a nice tip for the company. The friend ended up giving a totla GFE experience (maybe jealously).

I would say the Yangon is a must visit for any monger who wants to try something different and not on the beaten track. The girls are very attractive and accommodating. Visit Yangon before the word is truly out.
