i agree aon,

weather is a big consideration. i was reading lonley planet and footprints.

departures from bogota and cartegena seem likely at least once daily. i am a little concerned about flying on sunday out of medellin (in terms of availability) i haven't figured out which airport i'll be flying from yet, but it looks like aces or avianca are the cheapest, cost around $100. to $150 rt based on above readings.

apparently numerous dive shops on the island. i want to do a day trip to johny cay, and hang out on the beach (east side) maybe do some wind surfing. yippeee, i am thrilled about this trip and the beautiful women.

i'll be taking a pillow, but i plan to check out mongering opportunities on the north end of the island. with regards to lodging i am going to wing it, we'll probably rent motor scooters to cruise and check things out upon arrival. i was reading that there are many bungalow places along the beach. z

Zidaho,

Any casa's on the Island, I'll be there in two weeks with my Novia from BAQ, I have a 3 hour window to play before her flight gets in LOL!

Instead of turning RIGHT towards town proper you turn left. All is walking distance. I BELIEVE it to be a nighttime only deal (I brought my own so never checked). See pic.

A Better plan to get some on the side, IMHO, is to do it BEFORE leaving the mainland.

ALL Avianca flights route through BOG and there is a real risk of getting stuck (as we did). My chica brought clothes only for Cartagena climate, so I had to buy her a jacket in BOG. Aerorepublica has direct flights from CTG, MDE and CLO. Inter and West Caribbean (though the latter has safety issues IMHO) also fly nonstop from CTG.

There are casas, discos and strip clubs on the island for chicas. The disco right next to the casino in town is a good location, also find a place called "The Sexy Bar" which is a strip club with on-site rooms. Going rate was 150,000-200,000 for one hour so don't expect prices there to match the rest of Colombia. A casa called "The White Elephant" has a few cuties and rooms on site of course. Don't panic when they lock you into the place, it's standard operating procedure. Find a cabbie who knows of these places, I wouldn't consider walking to them.

Dude I forgot you where there a few months ago I think, so what is the run down on this place, non monger?

Is it cool in Colombia to take your Novia to the strip clubs? I have to enlighten my girl that being with another woman, hey it's OK! Hell she might enlighten my ass!

The funny thing about meeting good girls on line is that they hardly ever talk about sex, only bad girls do! Oh my god damn they rock in bed! I always wanted a woman to fuck me the way she dances, and we all know the way a latina can shake that ass on the dance floor!!!!

I'll be there in 10 days so if any of you guys want me to check on something just let me know!

I'm staying at the one of the Decameron Resorts, $96 per day for two All Inclusive and you have access to their other 3 or 4 hotels as well.

Have the best pro action? Think I'll have my Novia dress up like a little school girl! I'll have her talk to the other girls and find out what the going rate is, then have her charge me half of the going rate, just trying to drive down prices for you guys!

I haven't confirmed this, but San Andres was totally destroyed by Hurricane Beta. I know friends who are lining up hurricane supplies as we speak. Perhaps you should check with your travel agent?

Flights are still going to and from and they are still booking rooms! My Novia lives in BAQ and she reads the paper so she would have heard something by now.

The only thing that sucks is the rain, I was in Panama the same time two years ago and it is the raniy season! I will post what I find out along with lots of pics!

But much thanks for the heads up Wet Nose!

Anyone in San Andres Thursday or Friday night and can meet for a beer and information session. I think Latina Passion, you may be there with your lady, no problem, and Zidaho maybe you as well, and not sure who else. Maybe somebody there now can pick a time at a bar downtown, go for a burger, etc. Let us know, will look for your response and confirm by return post. Somebody has to get this San Andres thread going. Enough talk, more action. We need results to make a good report...maybe a report of distinction ! You guys on the mainland, send any spare chicas to S. A.. Anyway, looking forward to any replys.

Where to begin? First of all the difference between San Andres and Mainland Colombia are night and day! Some of the guys on the forum claim that the friendiest people in Colombia can be found in Barranquilla, IMHO they are on the Island. From the Hotel Staff to the my taxi driver to the everyday people, even the folks in the ghetto, no problem man.

Sorry guys this is more of a travel report then monger but I hope it is od some use to any of you who plan on a visit to the Island!

Trip starts off at LAX, took Copa's red eye flight (the only flight that Copa operates from LAX) leaves LAX ar 12:15 arrives PTY at 09:30 hour and a half layover in Panama, then a quick 50 minute flight to San Andres! FYI: if any of you guys are an Elite member with Copa or Continental Airlines, and your flying on FF miles, ALWAYS ask for an Upgrade! 90% of the time they not only upgrade my ass but they give me FF miles as well!

Breeze pass customs, My driver slash tour guide is waiting for me at the Airport. $5 U.S. for my 3 minute taxi ride to my Hotel, that's right 5 bucks for a three minute ride!

If any of you guys have been to Mainland Colombia, expect to pay more for just about everything, from Colombian beer, to taxi and at night a taxi ride doubles! Now get this American beer is less expensive then Colombian beer, it is cheaper to but a car from Miami then Mainland Colombia, what the hell is up with that?

Drop off my luggage at the Hotel and he gives me a 30 minute tour of downtown, shows me where the bars and strip clubs are located and tells me the price are from $50,000 to $150,000 pesos for S.T.

After our quick tour he takes me back to the Hotel, I send him to the Florist to pick up my girl a rose, then he heads back to the Airport with sign in hand Welcome to the Island LP'S girl! All this for $20 bucks!

The next day Daniel the taxi cab driver gives us a two hour tour of his Island, $30 U.S., took us all around the Island and made several stops along the way, hell all I brought with me was is $30 fee so I had to borrow money off of him to buy drinks and stuff, but he was cool about it, no problem man!

Daniel my Cab driver was a referal from my BAQ tour guide, most of the guys here say you do not need a tour guide, they say it is a waste of MONEY!

OK, this is my take on it, both in BAQ and San Andres, they have shown me places they I would not have seen on my own, or with my Colombian Novia! I do not care where I travel to I like to hang out with the locals, this time I hung for a minute in the black ghettos of San Andres and had a hell of a time, listening to Bob Marley and dancing in the hood, I doubt if any of us will venture out on our own! So IMHO if you do not know the lay of the land and you can find a guide that is in your budget then go for it, each time I used one they have saved me money!

I stayed at the Decameron Lsleno All Inclusive Hotel price for the two of us $96 U.S. per night! This is an exsample of a little Spanish goes a long way! Upon check in my room was not ready, so I visit the bar, check out the Hotel grounds, and constantly ask the Liz the front desk clerk is my room ready yet?

So I'm joking around with Liz and Raul the bell boy in Spanish and in English, so I tell her in Spanish if you do not get my room ready for me now I'm going to stay here and talk to you in my f--'d up Spanish, her and the bell boy start laughing there asses off, she checks her list and upgrades me to a two bedroom bungalow!

This is the low down on the Decameron Lsleno: Beach location is great, the hotel is next to the Airport so you do hear noise form the Airport plances flying over but for the most part I was unaware of the noise.

The Lsleno is a five minute walk from downtown where 80% of the action is strip clubs, bars and resturants! Food was so so! If you book a room here you are extended the same privileges at the other four Decameron's on the Island.

I also checked out the Decameron Marazul, great pool and beach, and better food then the Lsleno, alos has a night club and nightly entertainment and a Casino.

The Decameron San Luis also has a great beach, but is on the other side of the Island, but only all Hotels have free shuttles that takes you from one Hotel to another, but I used the local bus system a hell of a lot more fun taking the bus with the locals.

I was waiting a good report from San Andres island and when I have seen so many lines by Latina Passion I was very happy. I have just read that report but I have not understand yet if in the island there are girls. ;)
Any note about street girls, price, if it is easy to find girls and if there is possibility to find girl friend.
I know Medellin and Santa Marta and after having read some reports in San Andres section I think the dry land is very better than San Andres.
I make a mistaken?
Clear my ideas please.

Thanks, LP for being the first report on S.A. Did you speak English with most fo the locals or Spanish? I would be very intrested in going if the natives spoke English and the Safety was not a concern. Also hot chicks hanging around would be great I have limited Spanish and it seems that Colombia isn't the best place for that.

Thanks.

Le: the place is so damn laid back, I hung a bit with the locals and took the bus most places!

On San Andres English is the norm there, I would say about 90% of the people speak English on the Island!

As far as the girls go they are there, just have to ask a cab driver to hook you up and if not the locals you can hit some of the many tourists that visit the Island. The thought of being with a gringa does nada for my latina lovin ass!

i arranged to meet my novia colombiana in san andres. thanks to latina passion for his previous reports and private insight he provided me. both on lodging choices as well as driver/guide. this report is a combination of mongering and travel information.

i flew through panama and spent two nights there before coming to the island. i also planned to arrive one day before my novia to explore the island and hopefully get a taste of the local mongering scene.

i flew copa from panama. very easy one hour flight. no hassles at immigration. when you land you are immediately reminded that you are on a caribbean island. palm trees and beautiful blue water.

for my one night i checekd into the decameron islena. this property is located right across from the airport and adjacent to downtown. the hotel and food are nothing to speak of but it is directly across from a very nice beach. we moved to the decameron maraxul which is a nicer property but a little more isolated.

lp had mentioned the services of a local driver, daniel. i tracked him down and made arrangements for airport pickup of my girl the next day. i also told him i wanted to go to a local club and find a girl that night. this was no problem and he promised to return at 10 pm to take me out.

we went to a place called club sexy. it is more of a compound that you would not notice if you were traveling alone. it is not downtown but off of some main road. after entering through gates your find a small snack stand, a large parking area and the club. i was actually pretty impressed by the club for being in the middle of nowhere. i was expecting something more run down. it was nicely decorated and lit very well with comfortable seating.

there were probably 15 girls in the club when we arrived, ranging from 6’s – 8’s. we sat and had a couple of cervasas when the manager brought a girl over to me and sat her down. this girl would not have been one of my initial choices. but the manager said she was new and wanted me to meet her. turns out she was 22 from cali and had only arrived the day before. almost no english and beyond my spanish capabilities, but daniel provided translation support.

as an aside the people of the island tend to be darker skinned. all of the girls in the club were lighter. daniel said that all the girls were imported from the mainland. local girls work in a few casas and independently. the clubs (i think there are a couple more) only use mainland girls.

after a couple of drinks with the girl i decided to go ahead and do the deed. it is 80,000 cop for st. you can take the girls off the property but i was not interested in that and did not inquire the price. be aware that if you are at one of the all inclusive properties like decameron you will be charged a significant fee for a visitor. daniel said there are a few hotels you could use just for the evening.

went in back to the rooms with girl. you first must go to a guy who collects the fee and assigns the rooms. makes a bit of a production out of it. the rooms were actually quite big with an individual bathroom and shower. they have a mirror on the wall, a nice red light and a fan over the bed. the bed was also a decent size.

got down to businesss. this girl had nice size natural breasts with prominent nipples that she enjoyed having licked. we also began some kissing with some lfk. when she removed her pants i knew they weren’t lying about her being new. she had the most hair i have seen on any colombiana. not totally untrimmed, but quite a bit there. got her wet with some manual play and the kissing turned into dfk. she seemed to be enjoying herself and this helped me along. went for some daty, but she seemed a little restrained during this. probably holding back. i indicated my desire for her to go down on me. she wanted to cover me up but i said sin condom and there was no pushback. but the whole bbbj was very unskilled and not a lot of focus. she wanted to stop several times but i kept directing her back to it. finally decided to cover up and go for it. put her on top and she slowly mounted me. she then laid down on top of me and began some real dfk. we went at it in a slow leisurely pace that gradually increased till i think we both completed. i know i did and my sense of her movements and kissing was that she got off as well.

this girl will quickly get hardened and probably be a lot less gfe than this. i got a sense from watching some of the other girls in the club that they are more aggressive and less likely to take the same approach. when we finished i told daniel that i was happy with her performance, so he got her name and number to add to his reference list. the girls from mainland colombia can only stay for 3 months so there is a lot of turnover.

next day moved over to decameron marazul. once again thanks to lp for the recommendation of the place to stay. this place is much more like a true resort. many restaurants and bars, a disco and a show every night. the room is bigger and brighter as well. it’s only downside is a small beach. but the rest of the grounds make up for it. it is a short ride to use the beach downtown if you need to. there are 5 decamerons on the island and both me and my novia agrees that this was the best.

many great things to do here and the pricing is very reasonable. there is a little island a short boat ride away. it is called johnny key. a great beach and a lot of native atmosphere. we went snorkeling at a public park. it was spectacular. and only one other family there. we ate lunch at some local places that daniel took us a couple of time. some great seafood and spectacular views. the downtown has a shopping area to walk around in with both stores and locals with little stands. be aware that they close for siesta from 12:30 till 3.

bottom line is that this is a caribbean island that happens to be owned by colombia. it is a definite great getaway with a girl from central america or south america. it could be ok for a short mongering trip if your main interest was diving and other [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118). i will definitely return.

ISLA SAN ANDRES
I concur with reports below. The funnest part of Isla San Andres IMHO, is Johnny Cay Park, a small isle about a mile across, which is a few miles off of Isla San Andres. There is a small restaurant and bar, and lots of "private" white san beach there. You can hire a motorboat to take you there from the main beach on Isla San Andres, it takes about 10 minutes. and it really looks like something out of The Blue Lagoon. Nobody will care if you and your sweetheart do a nooner on the beach. What you will NOT find in Isla San Andres are hot girls, unless you bring them with you. However I did not check out the Club Sexy noted below, which sounds pretty good. The majority of the population of Isla San Andres is black Jamaican looking, descendants of slaves I guess, not to be racist, but the types of girls you seen in Medellin, Cali, etc. are not to be found in Isla San Andres unless you BRING them there. The Latin Colombian girls who vacation there usually come with their families and are from the wealthy classes, not much interested in YOU. There are a few discos, and a heck of a lot of shops, as this is apparently a duty free zone. Would be a fun, funky place to take a date, with the emphasis on FUNKY. The atmosphere is less Latino and more laid-back Caribbean/Jamaican with lots of ganja, reggae music and stray dogs on the beach.

Cacique Tone and Lord Pierre look nicer and are right in town. I like Sunrise Beach and it can be affordable if booked upon arrival (I paid less than $100 for 2 of us by opting out of meal plan)

I was in San Andres August 27-29. This was the next to last stop on my 60 day trip through South America. I went there directly from Cartagena, and after my 2 days in San Andres I flew to Bogota, and after that, home to the US. I had a feeling before I arrived that San Andres really isn't a place to visit by yourself. I was right, but there really isn't any problem going by yourself except for feeling a little out of place. I stayed at the Decameron Islena, which caters primarily to couples and families, and I'm pretty sure I was the only single person there, or at least I didn't see anyone else alone. The hotel's rates provided 3 meals a day plus an afternoon snack, so there was no need to go out to eat. At this stage of my trip I was totally exhausted, so my main goal was to rest and recuperate. However, I was also up for a little mongering after I rested a little.

The only place mentioned on this forum that seemed worth a visit was Club Sexy, so on my second day I arranged for a taxi driver to pick me up at my hotel and take me there. The driver had assured me that Club Sexy is open 24/7. He showed up at 8pm and proceeded to drive me to the club. He also agreed to wait. The club seemed to be incredibly far from the hotel. In fact, I was surprised that the island was that large. We drove for 20-30 minutes through what seemed to be forested areas until we finally arrived at the place, which was out in the middle of nowhere. The place was deserted, although there was a neon sign outside with the name of the club. There was a good sized parking lot and a large club building. I went inside and there wasn't a single customer in there. Chairs were upended on tables, and there were open bottle crates that they were obviously in the process of unloading. I asked if they were open. They said yes, but business doesn't start picking up until 10 or so. They said that if I wanted a girl they would get someone for me and asked me to wait for a few minutes.

After 10 or 15 minutes a girl came out and introduced herself to me as Shirley. I suggested we sit down and talk. She said the rate would be 140,000 COP for 1/2 hour and 280,000 COP for a full hour. I told her the services I wanted: DFK, BBBJ, DATY, and CFS. She agreed to all of these, so I decided on an hour. I had come fortified with 100mg of Viagra. After I paid, we went back to one of the rooms. The room was large, clean, and plainly furnished with a large bed and a chair, and a bathroom with a shower. We got naked and I found Shirley quite choice. She had a moderately swarthy complexion and a beautiful body, with especially large and shapely breasts and neatly trimmed pubic hair. She is quite skilled sexually and also quite personable; this combination provided an excellent GFE. She did everything she agreed on--DFK, she is an expert kisser, BBBJ (good sucker), DATY, and CFS. After I came she took the condom off, then came back with a wet towel to clean me off. We had some time left, so we lay in the bed and talked. She proved to be quite intelligent and an excellent conversationalist. She told me she was from Medellin and was quite upfront about coming to San Andres for the money. She lives at the club and works 7 days a week. She plans to stay about 3 months, then go back to Medellin.

When we went back outside, the place was beginning to pick up and there were a few more girls around, all of them as choice as Shirley. I would have liked to stick around, but my driver was waiting. The next day I left for Bogota. San Andres is a good place to come to relax and unwind, and Club Sexy is a good place to visit if you come here.

Any update on San Andres Island, please?

I'm not a regular mongerer and have never done a review before, but I just got back from San Andres so I'll share my experiences.

I looked extensively downtown for strip clubs but didn't find anything. That was during the day though, so perhaps they wouldn't be visible at that time.

While I was taking the Island tour, I happened to see "Sexy Bar" (it's not called Club Sexy as a couple of people called it).

So that evening I decided to pay a visit and I took the local bus to Decameron Maryland which I knew was quite close to the club. This was so I wouldn't have to pay a fortune for a taxi, since I was staying at San Luis (about as far away from the club as you can get).

As it happened, I had a really hard time finding a taxi as it was Christmas Eve. But finally somebody stopped for me and it turned out he wasn't a real taxi driver, but he was really helpful and knew where to take me.

He told me that there are 3 places to go to. The best is Sexy Bar. We went there but it was closed. The guy at the main gate said I could come in and pick a girl to take away, but since I was staying at Decameron, I couldn't do that. The 2nd best according to my driver is a place called "The Reef". It was just a few seconds drive down the road, up a driveway. It was obviously open with loud music, but there was absolutely nobody there (customers) so we decided to try the 3rd place called "The White Elephant".

It was also open and there was some activity going on so we decided to take a look. I was warned that this place didn't have dancing girls, but apparently the other 2 do.
The front gate was padlocked which I didn't like, but I was with my driver so I wasn't too concerned.

Inside it was pretty much like a strip club, including pole, but there was nobody dancing. I saw quite a few black island type girls, but there was a table of 4 Colombian girls in the back that we sat next to. After getting drinks, my driver directed one of the girls to come sit with us. He had a good eye as she was stunning. 20 years old and easily a 9 in looks with a smoking body. Another big bonus (for me) was that she spoke fairly good English. Her name is Valerie/Valeria.
My driver did the negotiation for me and the price was 60,000 Pesos (around $30 US) for 30 minutes. I originally went for 30 minutes, but extended it to an hour. Once payment has been made you go with the girl to the back area which I can only describe as a sort of abandoned motel setup. The girls are living here and that's where you spend your time with them. Valerie has 2 beds. A single that she sleeps in plus a double for work.

I went back a couple of days later and wasn't interested in going to a different club as I wanted to see the same girl. I was going to go with the same guy who drove me last time, but the phone number he game me didn't work so I got a really nice taxi driver outside my hotel. We agreed to $25 US to take me there, wait an hour and bring me back. I decided on an hour right off the bat and it was double the price, 120,000 pesos. I tipped her 20,000 pesos both nights.

The next day I was leaving so instead of just sitting around the airport I got a taxi to take me back for half an hour. Unfortunately, Valerie was not there so I told the girl working there (manager?) that I would pick someone else. There weren’t many girls around and there was pretty much only one girl to pick. She was Colombian, Not fat, but not slim either. She was not my type at all and was of the Inca type ethnicity (sorry, I have no idea what the proper name is). Under normal circumstances, I would not have gone for her, but since I was just killing time I decided what the hell. I didn't have much pesos left so I just showed her $40 US and said is it OK and she said yes.

Her English was very limited, but I was able to get her name, which I forget and that she was 21 years old. As it turns out, she was a great fuck and I had a good time. For the price, I would certainly do her again. Her room was not as "nice" though. The light wasn't working and we did it on her own single bed.

Overall I had a good time and would definitely go back to San Andres. They are too far from anywhere to walk, so I would advise you go with a taxi driver who can translate for you and agree upfront for a rate.

As for locations, all 3 places are located within a few hundred metres of each other. They are on the North West side of the Island, pretty much right at the end of the runaway. If you’re going South down the road, “Sexy Bar” is the first one you’ll come across. There’s no mistaking it as it’s very well marked. Continue on and the “White Elephant” is the very next driveway after Sexy Bar, but it didn’t appear to be sign posted at all. It’s probably 50 metres up the driveway. “The Reef” is a little further on past White Elephant, but I couldn’t tell you exactly where. It’s also up a driveway like White Elephant, but I don’t know if it’s sign posted or not.

Have fun.

I asked my original driver and the taxi driver, both said these were the only 3 places on the island.

Any idea on what time each of these places open? Are they open during the day or only at night?

Thanks again

just to preface, this was more of a tourist vacation than my normal mongering vacation, however, that being said, i did look around, confirmed most of the info i have read, and found another place to go too.

i flew direct from t.o. to san andres island, 4 hrs 45 mins (closer than mainland colombia). for those that don’t know, san andres island is owned by colombia, and uses colombian pesos, but it is located north of panama and approx 90 miles off the shore of nicaragua. this island is 27 sq. kms and is 17 km long, by 5 km wide at its widest point. it has 1 fairly major city located on the northern most point of the island. this is also where the airport is along with 4 of the 6 dacamoron ai resorts.

the west side of the island is all coral (no beaches) and is where 3 of the 4 “strip bars” are. yes i said 4, i had only read about the 3 on the west side, sexy bar, white elephant, and the reef. there is also lady moon, right in town just a stones throw from the main beach.

ok, enough background info. arrived thursday evening, no busses to take you to the hotels, instead once you leave the airport they put you all in cabs to the hotel. i stayed at an ai which with air and transfers etc came to just over $700 cdn plus taxes. there are quite a few other hotels on the island in various states of repair / disrepair. looks like it has been a playground for many years for ca and sa, but north america seems to be only lately finding out about this place. (maybe the last 10 years) as there were quite a few places being torn down and rebuilt. one thing i did note was that i did not meet any american’s there at all. i would estimate the tourists to be about 30% canadian, 40% colombian, 20% from chili and the rest from various other s.a. countries.

day 2,

did the tourist thing touring the island etc, and then that evening i got a taxi to take me to the 3 bars on the west coast. 1st the white elephant, only about 3 girls and none really to my liking, next off to the reef, about 20 girls, but did not hook up here, all types and sizes, but i wanted to mainly look around. so off to sexy bar, (this is probably the only 1 you could actually find if you were really looking without a driver or knowing exactly where they were). much bigger place, probably 30 girls but by now it was getting late and i was getting tired, so went back to the hotel for a good nights sleep.

day 3,

walked into town, and along the beach, nice thing about this place is all these ais are owned by the same company, and you can eat and drink (free) at any of them, so walking along the beach, i got a beer before i left, then a mile or so down the beach stopped at another resort, got a couple of beers to go, another half mile, another resort, and yea u guessed it, another couple of beers.

on to saturday night, decided to walk the nice new boardwalk along the beach, and there were hundreds of locals out there just sitting on the concrete boardwalk. then when i walked the other way toward the marina, the beach next to my resort had gates and police and thousands of locals there partying. it was some sort of holiday back on the mainland so they party there too. interesting to see some of the customs here, they seemed to be slapping each other with flour. met some girls from my resort and walked back with them, and back to the bar. the bar at our resort is 24hr, so we drank and talked, for a couple of hours. then this young punk from quebec started talking to us too. he was a devout separatist and wanted to argue about everything we talked about. i finally had enough of him, and told him to think about it, there are still countries in the world today where all this crap he was arguing about could be called treason, (along with its consequences). he seemed to shut up after that and we all left the bar about 3:30.

day 4,

started out very nice weather wise, but it got very windy after lunch, and about 2l00 pm it rained till supper. oh well, that evening i again headed to the bars. found a nice, tall, thin, girl from cali in the white elephant. negotiated, and for 60,000 for the hour we headed to her room. now this place is like an old run-down motel. so we head outside, across a sort of court yard and get let into her room. very sparse and third world, but it did have a double bed. she did a great bj and was accommodating to all positions. quite a good time but not spectacular.

day 5,

this day i was supposed to go to johnny cay, haynes cay, (small islands about 2 km off shore) and the natural aquarium, but it was again very windy and the harbour authority closed the cays to all boats. so walked to town and found the lady moon bar.
that evening i walked back down to check out lady moon. it is an upstairs bar, but you need to ring a bell downstairs first. you then go upstairs and the owner will open the door on the right to let you in. this is the nicest bar of all of them but, it is also the only one that charges (or at least tries to charge) 15,000 pesos cover. i said i just wanted to look so didn’t pay the cover.
once inside i was introduced to each of about 8 or 10 girls. the decoration in this place is very nice, clean, couches all around, and i was the only guy in there. so headed out and grabbed a cab back over to the west side. went back to the reef and talked with a couple of girls, 1 wanted 120,000 so told her to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off, then got the next to agree to 80,000 so off we went. she was fairly light skinned with long dark hair (who woulda guessed right) from barranquilla (sp), a little on the chubby side but definitely not fat. again a very good time but not exceptional.

day 6,

did go to the cays and the aquarium this day, had a great time snorkeling with the sting rays and other fish. a nice meal on johnny cay and a lot of beer. there was an older couple on this trip who really pissed me off. complained about everything, from the speed the boat was going, to getting sprayed with water, the bumping of the waves, getting on and off the boat, just nothing was good enough for them.
well got a little too much sun this day as it was still quite windy and i didn’t take my hat. sun was very strong, so it was a great day, but had to call it an early night (my only one of the trip) to recoup as tomorrow is my last night here.

day 7,

walked into town again and got some souvenirs, and some liquor to bring home. again walked along the beech boardwalk, and hit all the resort bars along the way and the way back.

this night i walked again down to lady moon and this time was met outside by a tout asking me to go in. i negotiated for a while about the 15,000 door fee, and finally got him to wave that, so in i go. again i am the only guy in the joint, but i spot a really cute chica sitting near the bar. i go over and we talk for a while, i order a beer, and she wants a chica drink but i say no. we talk some more and i find out she wants 120,000, i counter with 60,000, then 80,000 but she is not moving off 120,000. screw that so off i go to sexy bar.

now i have been to all 4 bars, and decided tonight i would endulge at sexy bar. btw the dink prices differ quite a bit here too, just like in mde. white elephant was 2,000 for a beer, reef, was 3,000, and sexy bar and lady moon were 5,000.

so i get to sexy bar and have a seat. not quite so busy as the last time i was here but still about 20 chicas and a lot of them are quite do-able. did not get any coming over so after about an hour i spot 1 really good looking girl, and call her over. she is from mde and has a great set of bolt ons. we discuss prices and she starts with 120,000, i offer 80,000 she says cien mill, i say no, and we settle on 90,000. (btw these prices all include the room). so off we go, i have to pay at the bar and they give her they key to a room. get to the room and she goes to shower. (shower just like many in sa is just a pipe coming out of the wall). back to the bed for a cbj (damn) followed by multiple positions. this girl though can really ride cowgirl well. lots a titty play with the bolt ons, and an hour later the knock on the door tells us we were finished.

so, overall, i believe someone, possibly a little younger and with more time on their hands could find p/u action on or near the beach without too much trouble, but definitely not as easy as d.r. the bars i would rate, in terms of ambiance, white elephant and the reef both very close kinda dingy, then sexy bar quite nice, large and good selection, and finally the nicest is lady moon. as far as prices of drinks, and girls, the exact opposite order.

editor's note: i certainly hope that the author or somebody else will post a link to this report in the reports of distinction thread. please click here (http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/announcement-reportsofdistinction.php?) for more information.

Not sure where you are coming from. But it is an easy, less than 1 hour flight on Copa from Panama City, Panama. You can get there on Avianca but I think their flight originates in Bogota. So it is a longer flight from U.S. and a longer flight from Bogota. Not sure if there are any flights direct from CTG or MDE. Also, American has talked about going there. Not sure if they did or if it is seasonal.

My time is limited, other wise I dont' mind it at all.

AA does not have services to San Adres yet, but if you call AA, they will use Avianca to get you there for around $800 via Miami-Bogota same day. On return it's not so easy if you plan to fly back same day to USA becasue there are no early morning flights out of San Andres to any major air ports in Colombia. So a late night flight to BOG on previos night is something to consider if your going back to USA.

Have you been San Andres, and what do you think about it?

Cheers,

There may be more info on other airlines into San Andres. Perhaps some of the other Colombian or SA carriers.

Yes I have been there. Read my report in this thread from last May. There is a good one prior to that from Latina Passion which I used extensively. There are a couple of more subsequent to ours that are useful as well.

Bottom line I liked it, but would not go without a chica. The Panamanian and Colombian girls love to be taken here. There is some P4P, but very limited. It kept me occupied the first night until my girl arrived.

I hope you can work out your travel arrangements.

I just came back from my Cali , SAN ANDRES trip. While at San Andres I got a good deal Hotel/airfare/meals 4 nights 5 days. 495,000 Col. If interested PM me Ill give you the details. My Girlfriend got it through a Travel Agency.

Just a word of caution for you or are living large and like to have 5 star amendities this is not for you. Im pretty laid back didnt spend much time at the hotel except to sleep. Hotel room was OK - clean secure warm water. Hotel offered a nice pool. Food was not so good.

San andres as a whole is fantastic. Took a couple of tours that I bought as a package from the same travel agency i priced it when I was thier I saved money buying it from the agency.

I have been to Cartegna and let me tell you San Andres is so much better. Locals are so much friendlier. Prices are cheaper. Beaches are cleaner blue water white sand evn on the main land. Unlike CARTEGNA the beaches there are dirty unless you get of the mainland and go to the smaller islands.

There is not much Monguring action. Go thier with that special someone. Its worth it.

Has anyone ever stayed at a hotel in San Andres that has an Internet port in the room? That or Wifi in the room? I actually am looking for a hotel that has both and don't know of any hotels that have either one. I checked out Decameron's site and it says nothing about Internet.

Anyone? Any hotel will do. I don't care if it's the most expensive or the cheapest on the island. Please post if you know of any hotel in San Andres with Internet in the rooms.

I've stayed at a small hotel on both my trips to San Andres that had one computer in the waiting/lobby area that was free to customers on a first come first serve basis.
The hotel may not be your best choice if you are going to try and bring working girls back to your room however. (It could be done on a limited, discreet basis.)
If you're with your girlfriend, or plan on mongering off site, it may be ideal.
PM me if you want more info.

the most upscale /newest hotel i know of the sunrise http://www.sunrisehotel.com. if anybody has it i would guess it would be there. i have stayed at several hotels in san andres and my favorite is the casa blanca, http://www.hotelcasablanca.net/english/elhotel.htm. they have apt style rooms by the pool that are comfortable and can be more chica friendly because of the way you enter. i always took 2 chicas with me and being a **** explored the casas at night. it has been several years but the nightlife was a little boring, daytime [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118) was excellent. we rented vw beachbuggys and roamed the island. i need to go back for a short stay. avianca has been flying direct from cartagena for a while.

I stayed at two Decamerons on San Andres and they had zero internet access anywhere. One was the Marazul, the nicest. If they didn't have it I doubt the other Decamerons would.

I used a cafe in town and the connection was horrible. Based on my experiences I would not make any promises to someone that you will be able to have easy internet access.

This is really the only negative thing I have to say about this island. Otherwise I love it.

okay.. so it looks like i have no chance of getting what i need internet related. i not only need internet, i need a dataport with an upload speed of at least 256kbps. so i'll give up on the working while there idea.

next, anyone have any recommendations as far as deals go? i'm going to take my gf. from recommendations and reading around it looks like the best hotels are decameron's marazul, aquarium, and delfines as well as sunrise hotel.

when i was there 3-4 years ago, i paid 100k pesos a night to stay at a place that was pretty much 1.5 or 2 star. it was right on the main beach but nothing special and food was horrible.

most of the places i have listed above are all-inclusive and range from $100-125us/night.. i'm assuming for 2 people as i put 2 adults as the requests. that's not bad as it's all-inclusive and we can use all the other decameron facilities to eat at... right? does anyone know if you stay at a decameron can you go to the other decameron shows/entertianment/discos for free as well?

i'd like to see if any travel agents would be able to find me any good deals, maybe airfare, hotel, and island tours, or boat tours all together. if anyone has any info, please post or pm as i plan on going in less than a month

I'm trying to find info on San Andres.

My girlfriend and I usually travel to Cartegena, Medellin, etc. For some fine action (sometimes she joins in, sometimes not). Anyway we're thinking about going to San Andres in 11/07 and I'm wondering as far as nice chicas, strip bars, etc. If it's worth the trip (besides the usually touristy things to do).

Thanks much.

There is some strip action along with on-site and take out sex. Not a lot though. You may be able to find some chicas interested in a 3 way. Now with your girlfriend in tow you might be able to work some magic on the locals. But you will not find anywhere near what you find in CTG and MDE. You can read about the clubs in some of the earlier posts.

That being said I love the island and would defnitely return with a girlfriend. Let us know if you are succesful in arranging anything.

R.T. It is comments that could get me to fall off the Wagon!!! But thanks the props and the congrats, all I can say is we will see, they say third time is a charm, I hope so! But does a hand job count against me?

A friend of mine is having a bachelor party in Rio, in two months but I had to take a pass!

Follow up to my Nib's report! I hooked up with Daniel the same way you did, I tried to call his ass from Quito, but nada, however once on the ground I gave my cab driver my business card and Daniel found me!

For you guys that plan on a visit to San Andres I can't recommend this guy enough! First of all the brother is on time, if he tells you 9am he will be there at 8:55 am, I am sorry but that is uncommon in South America!

Next of all he will show you places on the Island that you will not discover on your own, it is small shit but worth the price of admission! An Island tour is nothing to write home about, I mean the place is so damn small, but for $30 or $40 US you can't go wrong!

R.T. My wife was like your girl that you described, kind of stand offish at first then warmed up to him real fast, because the guy shoots from the hip, and will take care of you and not rip you off!

Anyhow Regulr Travlr, had mentioned, if you take any girl from Latin America, you might as well take them to the French Rivera, because that is the hot spot in Latin America! If a chica is not giving up the goods, just take her ass to San Andres!

Regulr: The new beach at the Marazul is not much better, but it is about a mile from the main Hotel, and I guess it just thins out the crowd a little! But you can walk 1/4 of a mile or so from the main Island to another small Island and a ship wrack.

Besides the lack of p4p on the Island, the only other draw back that I could see, if you want to shop, you can't do it between Noon and 2pm, most of the shops are closed for lunch! Fucking unreal, considering the Island survives on 99.999999995011% tourism!

Regulr, Daniel's cell is still the same! He mentioned to me that he could get me an apartment on the beach for $150 US a month, something you might want to consider!

Besides the lack of p4p on the Island....
There is definitely p4p available on San Andres. There is a bar/brothel out in the middle of nowhere named Club Sexy. The girls there are choice, but it's best to get there after 10 or 11. All the cabbies know how to get there. It is, not surprisingly, on the expensive side. San Andres has a reputation among Colombian chicas as a place to go for a few months to make mucho dinero. As far as I know it's the only such establishment on the island, but it's as good as similar places I went to in Cartagena. Here's my report from last year:

Good day Mates,

I'm thinking about trying a long weekend, possibly a 2-3 day trip with one of my favorite Chicas. If anyone else has done this can you recommend any sites that offer great deals on air and hotel (mid range) packages?

All the information I have found seems overly expensive. Almost the same as if you try and book a hotel room in CTG over the web.

Any updated info on San Andres would be appreciated.

AMIt would help if you would define your price range. "Mid range" is rather vague. I stayed at the Decameron Islena. A good sized room, 3 meals a day, and free drinks came to US$108 a day, which I thought was a pretty good deal, since most of the meals were buffets, I. E. , all you can eat. The Decameron chain has other hotels on San Andres as well.

The Isleño is currently closed for renovation. It is a nice hotel on the best beach but you have to cross the road to get to it (not a big problem).

http://www.decameron.com/eng/san_andres/isleno/overview.html

Of course when you stay at any Decameron property on San Andres you get access to the others including food, drinks, shows and casino. They only ask that if you plan to eat dinner at another property you tell someone at your property in the morning so they can put you on the list (or so that was the case in May 2004).

There are 6 Decameron properties on San Andres. There is a map on the link above that shows the locations of all 6.

If you guys are looking to really impress a special Chica then I suggest San Andres. All inclusive including air non stop from BAQ for just over $500. Per person. The rooms are not fancy but to these girls it is a real treat for them. Hot water a fridge and a safe for $2 a day. Lots to do and the food was good and plenty of it. The water is amazing all different shades of blue and green Of course the dollar is a little weaker now so add a few bucks to the total.

The taxis are double what you pay in Col. And I saw a few hookers but with the Novia in tow I was out of action.

French perfume is the big thing in Centro and there are manny shops with big discounts. Of course they say 50% off but who knows the right price.

O yeah I was very surprised to see groups of 3 and 4 single girls from Peru and Argentina. Many different countrys represented and I was the only American. They do get a lot of couples from Canada and I found out they went nonstop from Canada and paid less then me.

The natives are mostly on the dark side but a lot of English is spoken.

Anyone know where I can find travel package deals to San Andreas?

This seems like a great place to take a favorita for a couple of days!I returned to San Andres earlier this month with my novia. We had a very nice time. This was my first visit there since 2004.

I booked the air online thru Aero Replublica. From Medellin it was about $560 for 2 people. I believe Aero Republica is owned by Copa Airlines.
http://www.aerorepublica.com/

We stayed at the Decameron Aquarium for $174 per night all-inclusive and enjoyed it very much.

No beach at the Aquarium but a very nice area to swim right off the dock. There is also a bar on the dock pouring Ron Medellin and Caldas rums. They are not stingy with the booze. I was the only person I saw who every tipped the bartenders.

Take a snorkel, there are many fish to see especially around "La Bruja" restaurant. We also took a Hobie Cat (with guide) out near Acuario Cay for snorkeling. I saw two manta rays but not that many fish. $30 per person for about 1 1/2 hours.

They have a nice pool. This is also where the shows are each night at 10PM. We were in Tower 7, room 703. Our balcony faced out to the ocean. A great place for some late night fun!

The food was good at all of the restaurants and the buffets. All were air conditioned except La Bruja and a little spot outside the Barracuda (buffet). The A/C is most welcomed. La Bruja sits on the water so there is usually a nice breeze.

You have access to each of the Decameron properties:

The road in front of El Isleño is now closed and turned into pedestrian only. El Isleño is similar to a motel but it is located in front of the best beach on the island.

Marazul has a beach but the swimming area is full of weeds. Nice landscaping, open-air restaurants and a nice pool.

San Luis has little cabins and a nice lunch buffet. It is a little isolated but there is a nice beach across the street.

Maryland is small but very intimate. The rooms all are built around the pool. I heard the food was very good.

http://www.decameron.com/

We rented a golf cart from a spot just around the corner from the hotel for $40 (7 hours). The trip around the island is fun and easy. Almost no traffic.

Fortunately the immigration process has been greatly improved. Unfortunately the check-in to leave is still a hot and crowded affair. Get there a little early then go upstairs for a cold drink.

Aero Republica is flying almost new Embraer 190s. Very nice 98 passenger planes in 2X2 configuration with leather seats. http://www.embraercommercialjets.com.br/english/content/ejets/emb_190.asp

I returned to San Andres earlier this month with my novia.

That seems kind of expensive. My amiga said her family went for 1 million pesos a person all inclusive. Including airfare and hotel for 5 days 4 nights. I think it was offseason when they went though. When she called for me, they quoted 1.2 million for 3 days 2 nights.

I got the airfare price from the Aero Republica website.

With Decameron different properties have slightly different prices. I checked on their website as well as a few travel search sites and they all showed $174 per night for the Aquarium.

I had a friend (who used to be a travel agent) call the manager of the Decameron office (a friend of hers) in Medellin to see what he could do. Sure enough he came through with a great deal.....$174 per night!

I'm sure a package (air and hotel) would probably be a better deal as well as booking it within Colombia but I was doing everything from the USA.

But I felt that R/T air for 2 and 4 nights all-inclusive for about $1250 wasn't a bad deal.

It seems like there would be other options for hotels. Does anyone know of any other places? I'm going mostly for scuba diving and don't care much about a really nice hotel. Will likely visit some of the clubs in the evening.

Since you could travel to all Decameron properties, which do you think is the best? I was reading that the Aquarium is a 4 star and the Marazul is a 5 star. It's off the main city, but I'm looking for a place with a nice beach too.

It's just crazy that it costs more to fly from MDE to San Andres vs US to MDE!The R/T airfare from MDE to San Andres was about $260 each. I don't believe you can fly from the U.S. to MDE for less than that on a regular basis (although AA was offering $267 in August).

The "star" ratings are relative to San Andres, not to the US or some other Caribbean islands. The properties are all different and offer their own amenities. I would rate the Aquarium and Marazul around 3.5 stars. San Luis a 3.3, Maryland a 3 and El Isleño a 2.5. I gave you the quick and dirty on each property based on my limited exposure.

Check some other websites like Trip Advisor for reviews of each from people who have actually stayed at each one.

What about flights from Olaya Herrera; the airport within the Medellin city limits. Would be a lot more convenient than going up the hill to MDE.

My friend in Medellin thinks he's found me a package for 750k cop for 4 nights with airfare, food, and tour included. I'll find out Monday if there are any catches.

What hotel did you stay at? The site doesn't say.Decameron San Luis Hotel San Andres

This hotel is part of the Decamaron (sic) chain. It is farther down the island than the other hotels but the food is said to be better than the other hotels and I looked at some of the other buffets and it was better. It is also near the famous natural blow hole. Pretty neat to see how the water roars out of the hole in the rock.

Did I mention how the girls love this island? My Novia was a little upset with me the day of the flight but after a half hour on the island she was so happy with me.

Hi Dubai Mongers,

Anyone knows if there are colombiana putas in dubai monger scene, preferably paisas. I would assume given Dubai´s relative above par monger cost status, they are there. Is that the case? If yes, where can I find them on my November 6-11 stopover. Appreciated all.

Just returned from a 6 night stay in San Andres. This was my second trip there and the weather and water are great. My mistake was staying at a non Decameron hotel. My hotel was all inclusve but had no entertainment at night or any on site daytime things to do. They did provide 3 trips but except for going on a boat to see the Aquaris, which is a little island that has a reef where you can swim and see lots of fish. The other things were not good at all.

As far as Johnny Key I did not like it at all. Better to stay at the beach at the mainland.

The hotel I stayed at was Bahia Sardia or some name like that. The food was good but only a choice of 2 dinners and one small desert. The Decameron has a much better spread and more food between meals.

My friend a hayseed non monger from the Mid West saw a women on the playa at 3 AM and she said Hola to him but He ran like a rabbit from her so I have no idea what was her price.

Sorry if I offend any one from the Bible Belt, but you would have to see how a non Monger operates when confronted with a Working girl. It is a sad sight to C. Especially since he was having trouble with the non pro internet girl he was spending money on like a drunkin sailor. This hurt me since I was spending way less on my chica and she was thinking that she wanted more as this guy was setting a real bad example.

Lesson learned, no more trips with non Mongers.

I love San Andres. There is a cat house mid Island but I never went. I brought my own talent. I will always try and hit this paradise at least once a year. You can keep Punta Cana, this is the spot. Cheapest way. When taking your girlfriend if you could use continental/copa frequent flyer points. The way to go is this. Send your girl friend using your points. I have sent over both a peruvian and Colombian(MDE) chica. I think it was around 15, 000 supper saver for either chica. I met them in the Panama Airport and we took the 55 minute flight together. I then pay for the cheapest way to Panama airport and use 15, 000 miles to do the PTY San Andres leg. I stayed in a bunch of hotels. Here's my two cents. I stayed two days in Coco Plum Hotel in a suit and loved it, but I was bored to tears after day 2. It's beach is the best from what I seen walking out to that little island is great water was warm and full of fish. I moved to one of the Decamerons close to the center of town very small. It was OK, I did love using the other decamerons, I realized the aquarium wasnt for me to stay at but I did love the shows, and they have a $30 a person snorkeling trip from the office in the lobby that was worth double that. 3hrs of drinking snorkeling and then the Mana Rays. My girl from Peru loved the shit out of this. We had a fight when we went to one of the decameron restaurants, a steak house but they ran out of steaks. Which pissed me off to no end. But then they said they had one left, and I gave it to her, she got mad at me because I didn't want any of hers and I kind of tossed it back at her. That was it 1 day ruined. We made up the next day but it was never the same. Island is great, I can suggest renting a golf cart(gas powered) driving around yourself. I never got a chance to check out Decameron San Luis but I will on my next trip.

The rooms are a little old but the food was the best of the other Decameron chain hotels there.. They also had a good activity group.

Peru girls are hot but they are for ther most part the most jealous and get easily offened. One time in Lima I was at a counter and my girl needed 10 Soles for a phone card. I did not feel like walking over to her as I was reading something so I threw the bill to her. She was pissed at me for two days because of that.

Girls from Peru might be jealous, but they fuck the ever living shit out of there boyfriends. Lima should be experienced, like brazil it's very much still a mans world, one look at the spa at Hotel Princesa Sauana & Spa(Av. Arenales 2305 Lince) would prove that.

San Andres is such a great island, I can't wait to take a new special friend. The place was packed with Brazilians when I was recently there vacationing in April.

From what I gathered (after reading 50+ reviews) the Decameron is NOT good! Example: Up to $360. 00 per couple, but the service is bad, watered down drinks, need to make reservation at least 24 hours in advance to have dinner at their other properties.

I'm going to be staying at a "Private" Hotel, I will be there next week and WILL report back here with my experience.

I will be visiting San Andres for 3 days with my novia in 2 weeks. I have read some reports on how to see the island and generally get around. I was hopeing to get some feedback on which would be better to rent, a motorbike or a golf cart. I have already ruled out using a taxi if at all possible. Also is the snorkel trip from the aquarium still available?

Thanks.

Yes aquarium snorkeling alive and well daily around 2pm. Go in office around 1pm to reserve cost around 36 dollars 2 hours on boat, beers, hit aquarium island and two other spots.

Thanks for your advice!I don't think coco plum is that bad out of way. There are a couple places downtown by the trade zone and that free beach nice to. Plus had lively drinking there 7 nights a week. Even pharmacy have tables outside. But for coco plum it takes me around 13 minutes to downtown. So maybe shop some of the apartments that have sprung up downtown or there is a azul (something azul) , big blue hotel that was busy.

What I mean by everything is a rip off. San andres suffers from island high prices, but better then other islands. If you go real local on food you can do alright. I found disco in hotel on top floor to have cheaper prices on bottles of guado, cheaper then Medellin. But food at restaurants all pretty high, la rigatta my favorite. All in all I love San andres. Wishing for better wifi, to get work done.

I traveled there two months ago with my Colombian girlfriend for 4 days and I would recommend San Andres to those of you who are looking to travel with Colombian women. I visited a few years ago. There is a Casa a few minutes from the main town. Cannot remember the name but it is a small island and everyone knows the locale. There were many attractive girls there. I arranged time with a girl for the evening and following day. Overall, very nice GFE. She was from MDE and quite nice and accommodating. It appeared that many of the girls had friends who visited them where they had established a prior relationship. Most were from MDE or the interior.

If this place has closed, I can say that it would very be unlikely you would find any non-pros hanging around. It is a very dull place with very few decent beaches. One side of the island is virtually all lava and rock.

i also want to mention that the internet is terrible. it is an island problem and not related to any individual hotel. the internet is too slow to run a youtube music video. waiting for the download doesn't help as there are minor interruptions in the signal which screw up the download. it is serviceable to get online and do a few things though.

This will not be terribly helpful, but in October there was a place open at the far end of the runway. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I brought a chica with me when I went there (thankfully as the island is dull and uninteresting). Anyway there is a bar at the end of the runway on the west side of the island. It is just north of the runway. I am mentioning this because I was told that the area just south of the runway (on the west side of the island) is dangerous.

The island is not that cheap nor interesting. I do not think there is any real attraction as it did not even have much of an old Caribbean feel to it.

Your right. I was there a few years ago and ended up at this Casa and bar type place outside of town and perhaps near the runway as you say. Some of the girls were pretty hot, most were from MDE (surprise!) , and I selected one from MDE for the evening and following day. She offered good GFE and we toured the island in a golf cart between sessions. Basically, there are hardly any beaches except for the center and one or two mediocre ones on the same road out of the town area. The other side of the island is pure lava stone. Also, The nightlife sucks and the whole islands lacks any excitement or buzz. The hotels suck too. 3 star at best.

Just came back from 3-day trip to San Andres with novia. This is not a mongering destination but with low airfares, it is a nice beach getaway to bring a favorite chica. VivaColombia has fares as low as 170,000 pesos or $80 US roundtrip from Medellin to San Andres nonstop, if you go midweek and take no luggage, just what you can put under the seat. Even a carryon to put in the overhead bin costs extra. I paid about $200 roundtrip each to get dates I wanted. The all-inclusive Decameron chain now runs $150 to $350 daily for two people, depending on the hotel and the season. My total cost was $1200 for two people for 4 days and 3 nights, including all meals and drinks and most activities. The only extras were taxis and snorkeling tour for $30 each. We were at Decameron San Luis, which has excellent food but is far from town, requiring lots of US $10 cab rides back and forth. They even allowed us to eat and drink on the final day after checking out of the room and until we left for the airport. You can use facilities at all 6 hotels in the chain. The Decameron Aquarium has no beach but is centrally located in town and you can swim from the dock surrounded by fish. The Decameron Marazul has a nice private beach and is about halfway between San Luis and town. The Decameron Islena is the priciest and nicest, apparently. There is a beach club at Rocky Cay also accessible to all Decameron guests, worth a visit if you like white sandy beaches. These are not really luxury properties, and I would rate San Luis a three-star hotel in the US.

We did see the casa de putas others have mentioned, during an island tour. The guide even pointed it out. It is on the West coast road near the end of the airport runway, and has a playboy bunny sign on the door, you can't miss it. Cannot report prices or other info.

The native island population are Afro-Carribean, and all speak English, English Creole and Spanish. The tourists are mostly families from South America, including Colombians, Argentinians and Peruvians. Many come to enjoy the tax-free shopping. Downtown is full of liquor and perfume stores. Music is calypso and reggae, as well as the usual Latin pop stuff. The hotel had a pretty cool live reggae band. Cannot report on nightlife in town, as we did not sample.

I was recently in Medellin for 2 weeks. I spent the first week with one of my Colombian fav. I ended up taking her to San Andres for 4 days and 3 nights. San Andres is an island that officially belongs to Colombia, but is physically located in the Caribbean, east of Nicaragua. The native folks were really nice, and spoke decent English as well as Spanish. San Andres looked to me like a 3rd world version of Hawaii, and I was pleased. The food was mostly local Caribbean, and I liked it. Their fruits were fresh and delicious.

I had purchased the airfare and the hotel from the US, using Expedia, and that was a mistake. First, December is apparently the high season and the airfare was expensive, double what it would cost outside of the high season. I also found out by accident that Expedia has close to 100% mark-up for hotels. So, lesson learned, never use a US based agency to make travel arrangement for overseas.

I was not sure what to expect from this trip. I liked the chick I was with but I had known her mostly at the Mansion, over several trips. I did an outing with her once to parque Lleras for dinner and drinks and that was it. And, of course, she was much younger than me and looked the part. Luckily things went much better than I had expected. There were some dicey moments but I survived them.

We did a tour of the island and the guide made sure to point out a casa, claiming that the chicas there were all students trying to earn some extra money. It was fairly close to the airport runway. We also tried a local drink, called Coco Loco. It tasted a little bit like a long Island ice tea.

There is not much to do in the island, except to just relax, eat, drink, and have fun with my chick. The island was a grand total of 28 kilometers long. So, it is important to enjoy the company of the chick. I tried hard to get another couple to go with us, but I could not pull it off. However, my stay went much better than I had expected. Most of the vacationers there were families or couples. I did not see too many single people there. But, I enjoyed my stay, and I would go back in a hart beat, maybe not with this chick, who was just too wild for me.

It is always nice to see posts from guys who are improving their Spanish and doing things in more and more organized ways while learning about the culture and making better connections.

Everything in San Andres is double priced as you mentioned. Big advantage to San Andres is no need for Passport, Visa, etc if traveling with a Colombian woman.

IMO San Andres is good for about 4 days, which was the length of your stay. Things to do in San Andres are as follows: scuba diving or snorkeling, visit nearby islands, helmet diving near the trampoline, rent a go cart to see the island, etc. I am probably forgetting one or two things.

Internet sucks on the island. There are small interruptions in the signal. If you need to read articles or send and email, no problem. Good luck with listening to a song on youtube with every 5 seconds the signal getting interrupted.

Hey,

So looking for a hotel recommendation for me and la novia. And la Nina. It's a family trip so clean, quiet, nice, not near airport or main road or discoteca, please. Nice pool, places to eat in or near by, and walk to the beach would be nice as some hotels seems to be a bus ride to the beach and a few said only one trip a day which I find stupid.

San Andres has some casas. I knew a couple hot Paisas who went up there to work. Seems like similar arrangement and pricing to the casas in Cartagena, girls come from the interior to work for a while assuming they can get more in a tourist's market than at home. It's there if you need it. I went three times but took a girl each time. The hotels are generally average (but comfortable with good service) or very expensive (there is some Lebanese joint that looks swanky but costs bigger money). There is basically just the main beach and the incorporated area around it. But the water is beautiful and nice to swim in also. The upshot over going to Curacao, Aruba, Sint Maarten is the price. The airfare to those places is getting cheaper but San Andres can still be had for less. The lodging is also less and so is the food. You're paying in COP what you'd be paying in dollars at those other places, generally, so one third the price at the moment. That's a pretty big advantage when what you want is beach (check), fucking (check, especially if you bring a girl) and chill (check). It's not like those other islands have a ton of stuff to do, though I admit SXM and Curacao do offer a bit more in terms of culinary options and alternative activities.

Going back to San Andres next month with mi novia. Never got any dancing in last trip but we want to do some this trip. I was wondering if anyone can recommend the best discos on the island.

I am writing this in hopes of reviving this dead thread. How come guys are not reporting about this Atlantic jewel. I am sure plenty of mongers on this forum have visited it, albeit with their 'girlfriend" . I am sure there is something interesting or fun to learn. Beaches, bars, clubs, casas. Any updates anyone?

I am going in a couple of weeks and I want to know from veterans travellers here where is the best beach or another romantic spot on the island to have sex?

And their two favorite dinner restaurants.

I visited the island several years ago with a couple of girls from MDE in tow. That turned out to be a bad idea so I set them adrift within a couple of days. It's really a pretty dead place and very small. There are precious few beaches and most of the island is ringed by volcanic rock formations.

There was a disco open on weekends in the main town. But don't think they were open during the week. Your best option is a club a bit outside the town near the airport. There were quite a few girls there, many attractive, though they seemed to hang out with their columbian buddies. I rented a gal from MDE for the night and the following day. We took a golf cart the next morning and circled the island, which took about two hours though we stopped for lunch at some lobster snack with outrageous prices. There was one beach we stopped at that was decent but really it's hard to imagine someone going there for the beach. When we got back to my room, I had one more round with her and sent her back to the club.

I did happen to meet a local professional women, quite attractive, who was eating at a nice Italian restaurant in the main town. She traveled to Cartagena frequently for work and we met there later on in my trip but that type of random encounter would be a one-off there under most circumstances.

I, for one, would never go back.

Thank you. I will be taking a girl from MDE so finding company is not as issue. Sounds like I could get bored as mid week night life seems non existent. Hmmm.

Airline prices and hotel prices are same and Cartagena is better for night life but the beaches there suck so bad.

Airline prices and hotel prices are same and Cartagena is better for night life but the beaches there suck so bad.Beaches in Cartagena are about a half hour away by speedboat. Or you can pay less and take an hour or so by bus to Playa Blanca. At those beaches you need to move away from everyone else and bring your own drinks / food otherwise you'll be harassed by touts all day long.

Nice to cross paths with you again. [Deleted by Admin]

Anyway, I was in San Andres in September 2012. I discovered the island by accident one day as I was looking at an atlas.

Not sure if you have a hotel yet or not, but I stayed at a place called Playa Tranquilo. Just do a Google search for "Playa Tranquilo San Andres" and it'll pop up. The nicest accommodation there is the big house that's behind the swimming pool. The only downside to the place is that it's on the more remote side of the island, so you would definitely have to rent a car or golf cart or make sure you budget money for taxis, which were expensive at the time (and likely still are).

The nicest beaches on San Andres are on the northeast side of the island (near the airport) and the east side of the island near San Luis. The absolute best beach is on a small island called Johnny Cay that is accessible by water taxi.

The casa I visited while on San Andres was a place called Sexy Bar (near the airport). It's small, with a bar and seating area and a few bedrooms down a hallway. I think I paid 120,000 COP for 30 minutes. I remember being told that there were two other casas called Elefante and Recife, but I didn't get a chance to visit those.

My advice to you is to pick up a copy of Lonely Planet Colombia. As Tomasb stated, yes, San Andres is very small, but the book will help you make dining and excursion plans while you're on the island.

And no offense to Tomasb, but I absolutely would go back to San Andres and hope to in the future. It's a tropical paradise that's busy during the day and largely shuts down at night, so it's the perfect place to relax and decompress with a chica.

Have a safe and fun time, and let us know about your trip when you return.

Thanks brothers. I was definitely planning on going to San Andres for beaches. I guess that would have been a bust. Glad you guys saved me the money and trouble. So is it that Playa Blanca is the best beach in Colombia? I was not impressed with Santa Marta or Cartagena being told by different people that each was the best beach in the country. I was hoping that San Andres would finally be that place. What is the draw of the place in that case?

When you google image search San Andres beaches most photos are quite lovely. I have been to Santa Marta (beaches are dark grey and not appealing) Tyrona (Beaches are so so. Sand is not soft) and playa Blanca, which is decent. The question is it worth the extra 1 hour of flight time to San Andres as opposed to a 30-40 min speed boat / 1 hour bus to Playa Blanca.

Also, the resort options are limited in San Andres. The one 5 star, which also looks a bit dated is sold out for May!

The thing about Cartagena is that the river lets out into the ocean so the beaches by the city have this greenish tint. But if you take a boat out to an island it gets better. I've been told that Santa Marta has the best beaches but I've never been.

BTW, if you have a bigger budget and you are willing to ship a girl out Aruba is close by and has the best beaches and night life out of anything in Colombia.

Aruba is a fantastic option. I did it twice in 2016. I don't mind the price as much but lack of consistent non stop flights is a bummer. Even Curcao flights are seasonal.

I think you will find mainly Colombians there as they are rather pleased to have their own tropical island in the Caribbean as they don't have to leave the country. As another poster mentioned, the hotel quality is quite low. Certainly no 5 stars and most of the others appeared dated from what I could see.

Regarding the beaches: the main beach is in the center of town. There are quite a few shade trees so you don't have to broil under the noon day sun, but I did not find the water quality all that great as there are many small craft in the area though they do have buoys to separate the boats from swimmers.

The other beaches are further down the main and only road. The first one (Jony Kay), which another poster mentioned, is not bad and there is a small island atoll you can wade out to in low tide. But expect a lot of other tourists to share your slice of paradise after the wade. I stayed at a small hotel here on this beach. There is some sort of 'upscale' hotel on Johhny Kay beach that markets itself as a four star but I judged it to be a three star on my one visit. I recall it was part of a South American chain of hotels. There is one other beach about another ten minutes or so up the road. The water quality was good but it had this weird flat rock making access a bit difficult. And I agree, if you have a chica who you previously know and like, it is a nice place to chill out, however, I don't think that I would just figure that I would someone there, like at one of the casas.

That's a crapshoot and if you don't find someone to your liking you are SOL. It's a lonely place for a sole monger. I never went to the other beach on the other side of the island as I did not feel like rattling around in a golf cart.

I should mention, there is smaller island nearby called Providencia but you have to take a small plane to get there. There might be occasional ferries but don't know much about the beaches. Everyone I met who went there liked it.

I read an interesting article about this island recently. Apparently, there are some rival families on the island who are heavily engaged in assisting drug runners who ply these waters. Many small craft boats go offshore to meet larger boats to provide fuel and other provisions. This is where the competition gets fierce between these groups. According to the article, there is a Wild West attitude on the island and law enforcement, such as it is, provides additional cover to the families. There have even been some assassinations between these rival groups. Some of the drug money is washed through the many jewelry and gold stores in the town though as a tourist you would not be aware of anything untoward going on.

Hey fellas,

I read the recent responses and everyone is pretty spot on about San Andres. Here are a few thoughts that have come to mind.

Before you choose a hotel on San Andres, do a lot of research on TripAdvisor. My impression of the hotels while I was there is that they had been built two or three decades ago and hadn't been renovated or maintained properly in years. In fact, the state of the hotels is what made me choose Playa Tranquilo, which bills itself as a bed and breakfast.

MrEnternational, don't overthink San Andres, just go. The popular nickname for the area around the island is "The Sea of Seven Colors," and the water is clear, warm, and multihued, with green and blue colors. The sand on the northeast side of the island is deep and soft, and is even better on Johnny Cay.

Consider a day trip to Cayo Bolivar (Google it). There are businesses on San Andres that sell day-trip packages, which usually include transportation, food, and drinks. Shop around for the best set-up. Tomasb also mentioned Providencia, which I've always heard spoken about very fondly by people who have been to that island.

You also have El Acuario (Google it) on San Andres. An excursion to this small spot is usually combined with Johnny Cay, so what happens is that you'll be dropped at El Acuario for about two hours in the morning, then picked up by the same boat and taken to Johnny Cay for the remainder of the day. But, you can also go directly to Johnny Cay with a different water taxi and skip El Acuario altogether.

And finally, I said it before and I'll say it again: pick up a copy of Lonely Planet Colombia before you leave for San Andres. Day trips, restaurants, hotels, all of that will be covered in the San Andres and Providencia chapter of the book. Supplement the information in the book with TripAdvisor, which has quite a few (albeit dated) threads in their forum.

I have never seen that anywhere on the Cay. I like Providencia, but I am a scuba diver, lot's of dive sites and reefs, but it's rustic with little modern conveniences and not for everybody. The internet and cell phone signal is practically non existent. I stayed at the Hotel Blue which is widely accepted as the best hotel on the island, however be warned it's built on the side of a hill overlooking the ocean with great views but with no elevator and hundreds of steps, I doubt I would stay there again. I highly recommend renting a mule for your entire stay, if you can afford it. I usually stay in the Sarie bay area, it's quiet but only a short ride into el centro. Finally, take your company with you. If your into fishing and diving you can have a great time alone but it may prove difficult finding some company.

I can see the source of your confusion. There is an exclusive club only available for the various Hotel Decameron guests adjacent to Johhny Cay. At least, this club was exclusive when I visited the island. This club has a restaurant and bar, a small private beach, and various aquatic rentals for kayaks, etc. There are several Decameron hotels around the island and a few aspire to 5 star status. At least one, the RoyalDecameron, has rates north of $200 per night.

I stayed at the Hotel Coco Plum on Johnny Cay. The Hotel Coco Plum has rates now starting at $138, quite a bit more than what I paid several years ago. I though the facility needed an upgrade and looked like a hotel from the 70's.

Took a trip out to San Andres in May. Went with a girl I had met in Cartagena. Absolutely loved it. Great beaches, good food. Felt like being in St John.

Took a direct flight out to San Andres. Stayed at a local apartment I found through Booking DOT com. Did not coordinate the pick up very well, so kind of got screwed. Basically got charged 30 k COP to be picked up at the air port and dropped off at some corner where some lady rents Mules. Rented a 4 seater Mule for 3 days, 180 k COP per day. After speaking with a local girl I had met on a previous trip to CTG, I overpaid. She said you can get one 120 - 150 k COP. Nevertheless, Mule was necessary as I was staying closer to the southern side of the island, about 600 m from the Decameron San Luis. Downside is you are farther away from the center on the north of the island, upside is it was cheaper and maybe more quiet. I will likely look into staying closer north next time.

On the East side of the island, spent some time on Sound Bay Beach and the beach close to Rocky Cay. On Sound Bay, went here twice. On my first day, just stayed closer to the southern part right by a turn on the road. There are several kiosks that sell beer & food, and water was nice. Another day, we went to "Donde Francesca". They do not serve food by the beach, but I rented 2 beach chairs and an umbrella for about 15 COP, and got a waiter to bring us beer out to the beach as we were planning on eating there afterwards. After what seemed like 15-20 beers and several hours at the beach, we moved to the restaurant and had an awesome meal.

Another day we spent at the beach by Rocky Cay, specifically "The Grog Rocky Cay". We had gotten there after 1 PM (not a whole lot of seating so be mindful of that), and ate lunch there. Service and food was fantastic. The restaurant agreed to hold our belongings while we walked up north on the beach, and through the water to the actual Cay east of the island. It is possible to walk across, if you bring any belongings, be aware you will either need a waterproof / water resistant case or be able to hold them above your head. Not much on Rocky Cay, but if you brink some snorkels there is a reef by there. There was also an abandoned ship to the east, where some people actually climbed up to the top and jumped off. I'm not sure I would recommend, as the ship was very rusty and I'm not sure what the depth in the area is, but the people who did it seemed to be having a blast. Please do not step on the coral as you will def be shouted at by the guys who live / hang out on the kiosk on the Cay.

On the West side of the island, try to make it to the "Acuario Natural" and "La Piscina Natural", both great spots. On the west side, there are really no beaches. As has been mentioned, its a type of volcanic rock formation. But the water is incredible, and if you a are with a girl she will love it. I did not eat at either place, as I think the spots on the east side of the island had better reviews on TripAdvisor. I had a backpack and would bring some beers, and would sip on them while driving the mule. I made sure to bring water so as to not have to buy at these places.

If you are with a girl, at about 5 PM I recommend going back to the West Side as the sun sets on the West. There are several wooden platforms on the this side where you can watch the sunset and even jump into the water (some have a rope going into the water so you can climb back up). Truly great / awesome views if you can get a platform by yourself with a girl, watch the sunset there, and get back to the apt with her all warmed up by the awesome sunset LOL.

Forgot to mention, on our first day there, bought supplies at "Super Todo San Andres" for the duration of the trip (Water, soda, beer, snacks, etc).

At night, I mainly ate at the restaurants on the north side of the island where the centro is. I ate at and would recommend the following =.

1st night = Peru Wok. Open late, Asurion Fusion rest. Pretty good.

2nd Night = La Regatta. Awesome, would recommend the plate with the three lobster tails. Request seating inside or on the benches on the outside. I would avoid sitting on some "bridge" with seating they have right when you walk in.

3rd Night = Went out kind of late, so hit up La Corral (Fast Food basically, but good), and then Beer Station.

After each dinner, walked around the centro for a bit, nice walkways by the beach. On our way back, we ended up at Kella's Reggae Bar each night. Open late (think 4 am), right across from Decameron San Luis. Good place & ambience.

I would highly recommend going to San Andres with a girl you have a good connection / vibe with. I think you would be pretty bored if you went alone. I have heard great things about Providencia, as has been mentioned, but did not have the time to travel over. Think it is way too long by boat, so plane is the best way to get there. Did not have a chance to go to Johnny Cay, have that in mind for a future trip.

Everyone talks about how cheap perfumes are there, although I debate how much you actually save.

Really enjoyed San Andres. Great way to unwind and relax. Prices seem to be a bit high (Taxi, Mules, lodging), but the beaches are awesome (way better than CTG, better than Playa Blanca I would say).

Any questions, just send me a DM.

Took a trip out to San Andres in May. Went with a girl I had met in Cartagena. Absolutely loved it. Great beaches, good food. Felt like being in St John ...

Great post and update!

Went about 10 years ago!

Look forward to a return with a new and sexy Paisita!

Thanks!

I was there about a year ago and read here that there were no chicas there. Not true, there is a place by the airport, only place on the island, I was very lucky and found a perfect 10 for me but don't' remember what I paid.

There is only one road that goes there, it's the road that goes around the island, just take it to the airport and look for the neon lights set back behind some gates. That's the place.

I was just in San Andres with a chica that I brought from Medellin, given there is not much action on the island. On Tuesday night we were looking for a place to have a drink. Enjoy casino closed 3 months ago and we did not want to go to Coco Loco disco. So not a lot of options. The taxi driver took us to a place out of the town. Go southwest on the road that circles the island. Several KMs out of town, there is a place. When we arrived, there were only a few people there. It is nothing fancy, but it's clean and safe and played good music. Much to our surprise, there were girls there. Not natives. They had to be imports from the main land. There were about 8 of them. At least half were good to very good looking. Not 10's, but very fuckable. Obviously I was with my chica, but I saw some of the girls be presented to the single guys. I assume there are rooms there where the guys can take them, although we did not stay there long enough to see anyone go. Have no idea about pricing. Drinks were expensive for Colombia, but not expensive otherwise. I have a receipt from there. When I find it, I will post the name. Hope someone has the chance to give it a try.

P.S. - the taxis as not metered. Negotiate in advance if you can. The taxi changed anywhere from 15 mil to 40 mil to go from centro to my hotel.

Hola caballeros,

I know this ain't tripadvisor or whatever, but I'm headed to San Andres for a few days with a chica I'm importing from MDE.

I know I like all my shit in order before I can truly relax on the beach, like getting the airbnb stocked with all booze, food, supplies that I want. And so don't really want to waste time going from place to place and comparing and negotiating for golf cart rental.

Anyone got intel on good experiences or places to avoid for "mula" aka golf cart type rental places?

Thanks in advance.

To anyone that can help, I am looking for a good place to stay where I can enjoy the beach with my chica. Arbnb or hotel I would like to be near the beach and prefer there be a pool. Not into loud party music want a quiet area. I speak fluent Spanish. Thank you.

Rented a 4 seater Mule for 3 days, 180 k COP per day. After speaking with a local girl I had met on a previous trip to CTG, I overpaid. She said you can get one 120 - 150 k COP. Nevertheless, Mule was necessary as I was staying closer to the southern side of the island, about 600 m from the Decameron San Luis.I got a good deal on Sunset hotel on the Southwest part of the island and rented a scooter for 24 hours for 100,000 COP, and we had fun riding it around.

After what seemed like 15-20 beers and several hours at the beach, we moved to the restaurant and had an awesome meal.We didn't make it to the main beach. The east side of the island had a few beaches, and we stayed at one in San Luis for a while. I never made it to the main beach in the centro area near the airport. I got the feeling that the best beaches were on the nearby islands we visited.

On the West side of the island, try to make it to the "Acuario Natural" and "La Piscina Natural", both great spots. On the west side, there are really no beaches. As has been mentioned, its a type of volcanic rock formation. But the water is incredible, and if you a are with a girl she will love it. On the west side, there was a place to swim near our hotel and La Piscinita was a 5 minute walk. Yes, the woman love it, and the water was incredibly clear.

I had an amazing time, and even if you aren't that close with a woman, you probably will be after the trip. Unless she is a total *****. Chances are the women will be so excited to go that they won't even ask for anything but airfare, meals, and boarding. At least mine didn't. FWIW, I didn't see any women better than the one I brought so I think this is not a place to go mongering but a place to bring a woman.

And when you got your scooter did they ask for a license.I think probably Bogota due to the weather, but I would be shocked if the Medellin women wouldn't want to go either. I have never met a woman who didn't love the beaches, and these are the best Colombia has to offer. Every woman I met on Seeking Arrangement who could go wanted to go. Granted, that is a little different than the street girls.

On the scooter, they asked if I had a license and I said I did. They never looked at it, and then I paid them the money. It was for 24 hours. They said the paperwork would be filled out when I returned the scooter, but I never did fill out anything. I made the rental through the hotel. I know that paperwork is necessary for legal reasons ETC, but it was kind of refreshing to go back to the days of a handshake deal.

I have no idea if it is open, but I think you would be bored there without a woman. IMO it's not a place to go alone looking for talent. I don't recall seeing any single women. That's because San Andres Island is a vacation and honeymoon spot for Colombians who are either in a relationship or married. Visit any of the big malls in Bogota and Medellin and you will see kiosks of tour companies offering package deals to San Andres Island for couples. As a result, there aren't a whole lot of single ladies hanging around on the island.

I visited San Andres Island in September 2012 and I have a few posts here in the San Andres forum. Back then, the places to go to find talent were Sexy Bar, Elefante, and El Recife. I had a session with a WG at Sexy Bar (detailed in my report), which, back then, you could easily see from the road because it was lit up with a ton of neon. I don't know how things have changed over the past seven years, but it's such a small island that I'm sure every taxi driver knows where the talent is and how to get there.

Hopefully, someone reading this forum will be kind enough to monger there soon and bring back details. For the record, my hotel was Playa Tranquilo (look for it on TripAdvisor) and yes, you would need to rent a golf cart because it's on the ass end of the island. I didn't and ended up paying a shitload in taxi fees each day (but probably still less than what it would have cost to rent a golf cart each day).

Can tolerate her in your place.

For a weekend in her city. If that works, just tell her to come with you to SA and book round trip tickets.

You'll need to pay a tourist fee of like 120 K and show your.

Round trip ticket. As far as finding a girl.

Try seeking arrangements and spend the extra money to upgrade your account. I'm lucky I still have the app on my phone as its.

I am bumping this forward, as some have asked about action on the island. This was from summer, 2019, so not sure if it's still accurate given COVID and the hurricane. I was in San Andres about ten years ago and I believe this is sort of a club and / or brothel. When I visited, there were about a dozen fairly good looking girls in there coming or going though most of them seemed to be occupied with Colombian clients. I thought they were probably from the mainland. The manager brought me over a fairly attractive chica from MDE and after talking a while, I barfined her and took her back to my hotel. The way she dressed in pure hooker style left no doubt about her occupation but the front desk were fine with my guest. She stayed overnight and the following day we went the beach and had lunch at some place on the other side of the island using a golf cart to get around. I brought her back to the club around sunset so she was with me almost 24 hours.

This place is located between the airport and the sea off a dirt or gravel road. San Andres, as you know, is pretty small so hard to get lost as I think there are only a few roads on the entire island and most can be traversed with golf carts. Outside of that option, the pickings there are very, very slim. BYO or use that option.

For those of you desiring to visit San Andres Island, a new transportation option has emerged:

I traveled to San Andres Island in late 2012 and arrived via Copa Airlines. The place is truly a paradise and is perfect if you want to bring your chica from Medellin, Bogota, Cali, or Cartagena for a vacation.

I think we traveled Avianca and they allowed name change at that time for a fee. Also, all you date needs is a Cedula.

Just brief update with my experiences:

-on co. mileroticos.com I could identify about half dozen girls that actually were on the island (visiting, I guess); the other entries were vor virtual services.

-the going rate for 1 hours was 200 k.

-half had a room, the othe half offered to meet at a hotel at the beach that has an hourly rate.

-the pictures were mostly rather average looking, so 5 to 6.

-I met one, but then left as the pictures were too flattering as compared to reality.
