Try google translation:

https://translate.google.com/#en / th / Miss%2 see%20 is%20 your%20 pussy%20 trimmed%20 and%20 shaved%3 F.
Ha Ha! I did try it. The translation is a bit laughable, and includes one very impolite word. (I am sure Duni was just joking about saying it in Thai).

Nāngs̄āw pĕn h̄ī k̄hxng khuṇ tạd la kon?

นางสาวเป็นหีของคุณตัดและโกน?

Even if the person could pronounce it, the Thai is jumbled. The "Miss" in front has fouled up the translation. The translation also fails to ask a question as Thai requires a special question word (rather than putting "Is" at the front). With incorrect pronunciation as well (a certainty for the last 3 critical words), there would be little understanding. Forget Google Translate, it is pretty crap for English to Thai. I find it fairly misleading for other languages too.

I think the best advice is to ask a mamasan/papasan or the girl herself if she speaks good English, or try to get a peak at the pussy. In a raunchy bar, pulling the knickers band to get a peak is not at all impossible. Then again, like Wolven, I prefer bars where girls are showing pussy when dancing already.

"Mee moi mai"? with the correct tones (mid, rising, and high), means "do you have pubic hair?" If you ask in Thai you have to be able to understand the simple answers in Thai too. "Mee", "Mai Mee", or "Nit Noi" (I have, I don't have, or just a little bit)

you ask the girl if she shaves her cat. Bar girls would think that you are very perverse. LOL.

When I monger locally in the US I typically take a Levitra "pill" bought off the internet an hour before I get to the MP. I have used the 20 mg, but have started to use the 10 mg, "more quantity, cheaper". It does take away sensitivity. I tend to finish with my hand with my face in her pussy, which I actually like, but I would like to finish in her also, but I tend to feel I don't have time to do so and always just one pop in the States, for $200!

I have not visited BKK yet, but I'm thinking, I won't need the pill initially, but as the week goes on, I will. I do plan to get at least 2 - 3 encounters a day, but one of them might be a.

Over-nighter which will take care of my last the night before and my first the next day.

Just wondering what part the pill plays in your mongering feast. I have never taken more than one pill a day, even though I have visited up to 3 MP's in one day. Please share.

Have a set of cards showing heavy snatch, trimmed snatch and shaved one. Then ask the girl to point out which one she has. In fact why not have a whole set of flash cards to denote all the things that we always wanted the girls to do but never able to do so adequately. Yes, like " boom boom your ass?" What do you think guys. A new industry of flash cards?

Trying to learn the words for items like this is also a real big miss with me unless you can really get the tone and if you can more power to you. But from my experience one slip of the tongue it can turn sour? There is a Temple out of town that is very popular with many Thai girls, it is located in a area that when said in Thai sounds like the word pussy? A few times in conversation I had to say where the Temple is located I ended up saying the word to sound like pussy! Lucky for me the girl I know.

Since everyone has a phone these days with a camera why not just take a photo even of a flash card or better yet live? And show it to the girl? Why carry more stuff that you need? There are also Thai translation downloads you can put on your phone? Flash card I do not think so? at least for me!

Again, if it's important to have a shaved snatch, ASK the girl. And if you're skeptical, ask to see her pussy. She's not going to be confused. TTG.It wasn't important for me, I was just curious how he knew she was shaved.

Yes, like "boom boom your ass?" What do you think guys. A new industry of flash cards?Ha Ha! This topic is at least amusing. I often wondered what would happen if a guy asked the girl up front if she does DATY? Is she A+? Etc. ? LOL She probably would not get it at all. She might think he is a Psycho case. I never ask questions like this up front. I just wait to see what will happen. If choosing a girl at an Oily, I just hope she will be shaved. At a bar I will, 95% of the time, see her pussy first. If I should take the waitress at Crazy House, I can see her body is not bad but obviously won't get to see her with knickers off first. Just have to take the gamble that she might have a nice ass and pussy.

For DATY, I don't ask. I just go for it slowly. She can escape if its a problem for her. I rarely take anal, but fortunately its mostly the girl will raise this subject by herself if she is really into it, or forget it completely for me. Maybe I did actually request it from Tulip Dao without her offering. LOL. This is rare. The odd girl told me she doesn't like to do anal in advance, without me even mentioning the topic. I don't really remember what expressions were common from the girls for this topic, however some probably used slightly indirect euphemisms. Maybe something like "I don't enjoy back-door" from girls who do anal, but wanted to be clear its not their preference.

Ass (American spelling) could be a confusing word for some Thai girls, since Americans and English pronounce it very differently. In fact, in England an ass (pronounced short) is a donkey, and the backside (bum) is an "Arse".

If in an Oily, I have no questions for the girl except her name, in a Soapy, I might ask if she is okay With Farangs? In a bar I am asking if she is okay To go with me for ST. That's it apart from normal small talk. I will have got to touch the girl to some extent, so will know the girl does not have hard silicones or anything bad like that. I don't think girls really like to receive a lot of detailed sex questions. I could be wrong. Maybe its just not me to ask.

Asking about kissing is a possibility. I think its better to try to sneak a kiss in the bar and see how it is, and also get to detect bad smoker's breath before its too late. Actions mean more than words.

I my life, I had some really great sex sessions with latin girls, where they could not speak a word of English and I had no Spanish at all. Language barrier does not have to be a big factor to having sex fun. Sometimes its a case of take the punt and see what happens.

Greetings,

Brand new to forum so thought I would post an introduction prior to just jumping in.

Older guy from the U S and have been living in Thailand for the last few years. Don't live in BKK but get there fairly often for some enjoyment.

Been to most of the regular haunts Pattaya, Patong, Chaing Mai, will post some trip reports later. Just got back from Krabi and their is a bit of night life there, just takes a bit of looking.

Question on posting: where are the usual commands for typing, font size bold, spell check, can't seem to find them. Also how do you edit? The second line in this post has been changed to read "from the you S" but was not typed that way. Have tried to change it but it keeps reverting back to what the program thinks I want to say. It even changes it while I am trying to edit it.

Thanks for the great forum.

Thailand Visa Overstayers to be put on a Blacklist and Barred from the Country.

Bangkok. Foreigners in Thailand who overstay their Visa's will be put on a blacklist and barred from the country for a period after they leave. According to Thaivisa.com reported that it had seen the proposal detailing the tough new measures for foreigners who overstay in Thailand.

The Phuket News reported that they received confirmation today from a source in Immigration Headquarters, who asked not to be named, that a proposal along these lines has been made to the Ministry of Interior, which is expected to approve it "soon".

ThaiVisa reported that the proposed measures, which will see foreigners that overstay their visa's of more than 90 days blacklisted, are as follows:

In the case that alien surrenders themselves:

◾Overstay more than 90 days Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for 1 year.

◾Overstay more than 1 year Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for 3 years.

◾Overstay more than 3 years Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for 5 years.

◾Overstay more than 5 years Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for 10 years.

◾Overstay more than 10 years Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for life.

In the case that the alien is being apprehended:

◾Overstay for less than 1 year Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for 5 years.

◾Overstay for more than 1 year Forbidden from re-entering the kingdom for 10 years.

If foreigners "surrender" (usually by presenting themselves at Immigration when leaving the country) they will be barred from returning for a period that will depend on how long they have overstayed. Currently those who overstay are fined B500 a day, up to a maximum of B20,000. Some foreigners who are arrested, detained, or deported are also blacklisted, but this is done on a case-by-case basis.

Immigration has recently taken a number of measures to stop foreign nationals abusing the tourist visa system by doing regular 'Out / In border runs' in order to stay in Thailand long-term.

It is thought that many of these work in the country illegally.

Thanks for the great forum. RegardsWelcome to the forum! You already spot some weak points of the functionalities.

It doesn't seem possible to use different fonte, bold etc.
Spell check works its own way and not always it works fine: you have experienced that with the "S" issue.:(
You can edit your post within a time frame of an hour.
You cannot add icons from the punctuation signs when typing, but you can do so in the editing mode after you post. :)
So write, post, enter edit and add the punctuation for a smile, for instance. :) :)

So, again. Welcome to the forum, LOL.

Other than that it is indeed a great forum.

We look forward to your reports.

I share your preference. The 1000 baht price has not changed, but in 2007 it was a no-negotiation price that got you a good looking under-30 streetwalker who'd usually perform well, for 2 shots if you asked. These days, 1 k is the rock-bottom price at Sukhumwit, taken by uglier girls, and only reluctantly after they try to negotiate, realize their prospects are grim and ain't getting more. The scene has gone down the drain in terms of average quality and numbers too.IME it is quite different. For example a regular hottie said she took 700 baht ST recently. Lately I've had good success with picking up new girls, better than I've ever had before in 7 years. Also I generally only go for street girls that I consider to be in the 7 to 10 range in looks & have found some every year since 2007 at the NCP. But from the photo thread here I can see many pics rated as hot that I would not go with for free, so it's the old story of beauty being in the eye of the beholder. BTW I've often arrived at the NCP & had a couple dozen ladies all to myself, with not even a single guy near any of them.

Comparison only holds for sex deserts like the US / UK / Saudi Arabia. The West includes places like Frankfurt where 30 euro (1200 baht) gets you laid, although for something decent you need to shell out 2-4 times that. To be honest, Sukhumwit freelancers are not even close to good looking, so looks are not a major sticking point, though service is still usually better in Thailand. To be more specific, the Western standard of comparison with Thailand I am considering is a hot slim petite gal who provides bareback services & is willing to fuck your brains out for hours. Where I come from in the West this is either impossible or extremely difficult to find & will cost at least 10 times as much as in Siam. Hence my estimate of having saved 6 or 7 figures, or recieved that much value in P4 P in LOS over the years, relative to my home country. What does Germany have to offer that matches those looks & services? At what cost? Can it compete with Bangkok's hotel prices? Even Singapore where I can bang a stunner for 600 baht (20 USD) seems to offer much more bang for the buck than the former Nazi nation.

Of course you can still get it from the repeats or oilies. But it used to be the 90% chance of getting it from any girl you pick, and some mongers like me have a penchant for trying out new girls. If I wanted to stick to the same few girls over and over, the giks would do the job just fine (though this route takes more time and is not viable past a certain age).If you had been at this for 15 years & kept a "little black book", you'ld have hundreds of numbers to call upon, not just a few. Even I have dozens of girls digits & I seldom stray from my regulars.

i think it's this one: http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/readerssubmissions2012/reader7741.htm.according to the above url there have been constantly declining birth rates since 1960. in spite of that the number of females aged 15 to 49 increased by 1.1 million from 1990 to 1995. and increased another 1.4 million from 1995 to 2010.

btw it is worth pointing out that the birth rate has hardly been declining at all in recent years & is fairly constant. if this trend continues it will soon be increasing.

as regards the p4 p age of females in thailand, this has not been defined. but we don't need to look any further than a recent report on isg of a farang banging a mamasan, or a walk around bangkok looking into beer bars & regular massage parlours galore where sexual services are often on the menu. in the latter venues i have often recieved an hour for as little as 500 baht, and some of these babes in their 40's are very well preserved, far more experienced in how to please a man & way hotter than most gogo girls. like 8 on a scale up to 10.

"no wonder the bargirls are getting fat, bars are being forced to scrape the bottom of the barrel. ".

probably because many of the better lookers who have 2 brain cells are online "working girls" now. they don't have to stay in a noisy venue all night dancing, being eye fucked & groped by old drunk stinky & rude foreigners. technology has changed the game from 15 years ago, the hiv clingy gfe heyday when many girls were illegal.

additionally with there being 2 or 3 times as many working ladies in the 2010's as in the 1990's, to meet the increased demand from more foreigners, the influx of average lookers seeking a quick easy baht has watered down the concentration of hotties.

Nothing new about this "survey" but I believe the concept of "invisiblity" is very accurate. In western cities at least (similar to women at slightly younger ages) - typical males 40 and over pretty much become invisible to younger women. (IMHO this is absolutely true by age 45) That new found "visibility" alone in Bangkok is part of what I believe makes Bangkok interesting for typical 40 plus males living here or visiting on a high frequency basis regardless of whether its only from working girls, or shop girls taking notice merely out of platonic curiosity. In any case, just walking around Bangkok one senses the immediate difference versus London or New York or other western cities. Travelling internationally to Bangkok for some is like having travelled on a time machine of sorts.

http://dailycaller.com/2014/07/08/men-become-invisible-and-lose-sex-appeal-at-39/

Sorry fellas but at 39 you become 'invisible' to younger women (we're not sure that applies to David Beckham, Bradley Cooper or Russell Brand though)
Men begin turning into 'The Invisible Man' from the end of their 30s onwards
Viewed as less sexually attractive due to grey hair and double chins
Women eye them up less in bars at that age

Men start becoming invisible sexually to younger women at 39 - the same age as David Beckham and Russell Brand, according to new research.
They begin turning into The Invisible Man from the end of their 30s onwards - and are viewed more as father figures than sex symbols.
The most obvious sign of the change is when a man is no longer eyed up by women when he goes out.

As the Daily Mail article refers to "The most obvious sign of the change is when a man is no longer eyed up by women when he goes out."

Being 'eyed up" while a superficial issue, is a something of value to many males, particularly when the extreme opposite happens in the west.

Actually in NYC once you hit age 40 to 45 even if you ARE reasonably loaded, you're not going to get attention from younger women, certainly not walking down the street or going about one's business during the day. You are still invisible in that context.

In contrast in Bangkok the "walk around" vibe (regardless of money) is very different for the same guy. You could literally be spending nothing on "entertainment' yet you still get the benefit of this vibe.

Or maybe she's desperate because there are few customers in Bangkok & she has bills to pay for her family & would rather take a sure 700 baht now than wait & hope for a 1000 baht guy. She might have to wait hours for that. Or maybe all night & never get her 1000 baht & end up with nothing. Seven hundred baht is better than zero baht, don't you think?

No doubt all the NCP girls are not hot. But, then, I don't need two dozen hot ones, only one. One lovely donut is all that is needed for one weiner. I'm rather picky, but seldom have trouble finding one out of 24 that suits my fancy. If you can't find one here, I'll be surprised:

@Western787,

"Being eyed" is as much a function as "wanting to be eyed". If you actively seek eye contact, you will get more eye contact. If you walk around with downcast eyes, you do not get eyed.

Or at least -and I think that is the real truth- you do not notice it. After all, if you don't look at her, how can you know she is or is not looking at you? Or are you one of those creepy guys with shifty eyes, always looking at women out of the corners of their eyes, or in mirrors or window panes?

Sure if I walk past a real stunner, my eyes are going to be drawn to her (not that many 10's or even 9's around). As for the rest of those massage shop girls, I don't notice if they look at me or not. They are certainly calling out for business. I am usually in a hurry and have to watch where I am walking. Pavement is cut up shit.

If I looked like James Rodrigues, sure that would be different. I have no illusions in this area.

This being "eyed" vibe is meaningless. There is no benefit. Its all in your mind, or vanity.Meaningless to you maybe, but not to others.

Yes, it is vain, but then again many things in life are vain. However, it doesn't mean they are without value. Many things in life are "superficial" and I've used that term in the past on this very issue. Turning the argument around. Why do you demand extremely pretty girls? I mean these girls are what 20? 30? Years younger than you most times? Is that vanity too? Isn't THAT also in you're mind?

Look at Maslow needs, people need and want to be appreciated, at all different levels. As far as being "eyeballed", it sometimes just about going back in time a bit. My basic point was Bangkok (not unlike other asian locales) is like a time machine for males making them"visible" in the context the survey talks about, and IMHO its part of the attraction of Bangkok, and this (ever present. No additional cost factor) is at work 24/7 independent of how much one is spending on P4 P. So its a freebie basically.

The reason you have all the NCP girls all to yourself is they ain't that hot. Just average and below. A hottie doesn't need to down to 700 baht. Only reason is she ain't that hot to begin with.OK finally figured out what you'are referring to. Harold, you've always underrated Nana parking lot girls. Some are quite attractive in fact. When you do a repeat and the girl has verified you're a gentleman, they will lower the cost even more sometimes

@Western787,

Or are you one of those creepy guys with shifty eyes, always looking at women out of the corners of their eyes, or in mirrors or window panes?Basic evolutionary design dictates that males are highly aware of their surroundings, even if only done at the subconscious level and they focus on 2 major things 1. Potential threats to their existence. Generally from other males of course OR objects such (in a modern context) cars or whatever. 2. Young fertile females as potential mates - regardless of the likilhood or such mating. Its simply a matter of wiring and genetic design, genes having one overriding purpose: "Genetic survival going forward". I would suggest you read Richard Dawkins (The Selfish Gene) or Robert Wright (the Moral Animal) if the basic genes as "decision" makers is unfamiliar to you.

The term "eyed up (or lack of it for those "invisible") actually involves far more than being literally eyeballed ,its includes subtle body language, tone of voice and many other factors

Actually given the amount of trip points and crevices on Bangkok sidewalks, and low hanging signs, awnings, and electrical cords etc, one cannot always glance around at all the beauties. Much safer at Terminal 21 or similar venues. EVERY MALE WITH A PULSE is looking at attractive females through the corner of their eyes. Its what males do in the normal course of a day. Sorry I don't have shifty eyes. LOL. Bangkok has an entertaining vibe in that sense. Even the simplest interaction with an attractive female, lets say something as mundane as paying the bill on the way out of a restaurant, the vibe is often quite different than western cities.

For hotties there never is a slow season. They will be the first 2 go.The thing with hotties is that not everyone considers them a hottie. Maybe 20,50 or 80 percent of guys consider them such. The rest do not and may believe another girl on the street is hotter and take her first, a girl that you may think is only average.

Another thing with hotties is that even the percentage that think she is hot may reject her and choose an average looking lady instead. There are various reasons for this, such as for example the well known and well earned reputation for the best lookers to provide the worst service. Or the looker looks like she may be too young, hence illegal. Or her attitude stinks. Or she looks like she forgot to take her meds. Or the guy is intimidated by such girls, or worried about a walk of shame with such a girl, or that she will reject him. Or the customer thinks a less attractive choice is more likely to do the dirty things he wants to do, etc.

As you can see, there are quite a few reasons why a hottie will not always be the first to go. I've had hot girls at the NCP ask me why certain less attractive girls often get chosen first.

As you can see, there are quite a few reasons why a hottie will not always be the first to go. I've had hot girls at the NCP ask me why certain less attractive girls often get chosen first.Certain hookers are expert at approaching and hooking the fish. Hopefully I am the fish who is skilled at avoiding this hook (er). The best hooker lookers are liable to sit back and wait for the guys to come after them. So very ordinary looking girls (to my taste) can hook a guy quickly on occasions if they pick the right target.

Once I was sitting in Sheba and a guy sitting right by me had a gorgeous girl sitting on his lap facing him. She is now top girl in Suzi Wong. Anyways this guy seems to be confused as what he should do. She is stunningly vivacious but he has reservations. He asks me if he should take her, as though I should know. However I have never seen her before. I have to be honest and say that if he does not take her, I certainly will. Her fabulous looks will not discourage me for more than a split second.

I should have lied and said she was a starfish in the room, since I did not get another chance with her for many weeks or was it months?

My thought about stunners is "Take them as soon as you get the chance", in case they disappear and you are left wondering forever. Okay There must be a good vibe as well of course, but the optics are very important for me. Better to fuck unforgettable girls. LOL.

Business doesn't get that slow for the real truly super hot girls, that are capable of performing O.K. too. It may get slow for girls that are only hot for a relatively minor proportion of the customers. Once a girl has a stunning face, stunning body, and amazing tits, nothing is going to stop her. Some girls have a lot less than that and are still really busy. I can think of 3 girls with fabulous bodies and excellent faces, that I only ever got the one session with before they disappeared. At least I got the once and never had a chance to get bored by them. They remain unforgettable.

Suppose a girl looks nearly as hot as Irina Shayk. Try to tell me she would find business quiet:

Suppose a girl looks nearly as hot as Irina Shayk. Try to tell me she would find business quiet:Her upper body is quite attractive. That I would give a 9. The the other half an ordinary 5.

In Singapore there are girls like that, some even hotter, standing around for customers at a measly 20 to 50 USD a pop. I've lurked for 30 minutes and they're still waiting there as hordes of Asians pass them by.

IMO many of those listed on bing under "skinny Asian" are just as hot overall & easily surpass her lower body, hair or skin color, which does not deserve a second look:

LOL, her lower body a 5? S. I. Cover models by definition simply do not have 5 level lower bodies. Such a claim is nonsensical and ludicrous on its face. It's a purely subjective matter of personal taste. See the ISG photo threads, for example, for what some guys think are hot & you'll be ROLFLOL all day long.

To my taste her legs are way too big or fat & therefore unattractive in the posted pic, relative to a number of the sexy much slimmer legs amongst the "skinny Asian" females I referenced on bing. Her legs also lose marks for the color, not being white or at least sufficiently white, though not as bad as being pitch black. So if I was in the mood for a hot legs session or fetish, then she would get a pass.

Can't see her ass in the pic, so that does not even enter into the grading of the lower body.

Earlier this year I spent quite a bit of time watching the fashion channel on TV & many models shown had lovely legs.

I would add that if she is a model, then she is probably too tall for my liking. I prefer a lady about 5 feet in height or an additional 8 inches at most.

Also re her tits, I can't tell if they're natural or not. I prefer them soft, whether via surgery or birth, not hard like bowling balls. BTW every TG I've ever had at NCP over the years, of 50 to 100 in all, I guess, has always had natural soft bosoms, as far as I could tell. OTOH, from Syzygies many complaints, I assume the percentage in the gogos would be far from 100 percent of the girls being natural.

Looking at her pic on wikipedia, I'd give her an overall 5. I wouldn't give such a 2nd look at the NCP if she was offering LT for 500 baht. Though, to be fair, some of her pics on bing look pretty hot.

The type of bottom I like comes on a skinny petite girl which many TGs are, so it's small, not humungous like Serena's. I'll leave that one to Mr Enternational. My prefered bottom is also much more round & bubbly than your pic of the Russian. As seen on quite a few slim NPL TGs I've boinked.

Holy_66 is a ridiculous freak (no interest). Topless blonde is a bit overblown, but okay Taiwanese girl looks a bit too straight like a skinny ladyboy (not implying she is one). I like skinny waist but prefer a bit more curvy. Bathtub girl's tits don't look natural, otherwise she is good.

So taste varies a lot. I obviously prefer more in the bum and thigh width than you but prefer tits with a really beautiful shape more so than size.

The first has a nice ass, true. But they all, except the Chinese chick, have fake boobs. Total turn off unless they are high-quality saline implants.

The "Holly" chick is a photoshop pasteup, so that's a bad example. I personally know Latinas with genuine boobs like that. Unfortunately, you can't have giant real knockers without a fair amount of body fat elsewhere. Tiny, skinny frames and giant boobs rarely go together.

The Chinese girl is far too thin and lacks muscle tone. She certainly has legs up to her neck but they look like stilts. No shape a-tall.

My song sateng.

Over the years I've encountered a few street girls near NEP gogo central in Bangkok with the look of Holly's boobs. They always seemed to have huge natural tits in the sack & in missionary. Certainly they were soft & satisfying. Not like repeatedly rubbing on bowling balls.

In the many years I have been traveling to Thailand, I may have had a few times a WG which did not speak even basic English. Most of these times it was well outside of the usual places where farang go and even then I managed easily as long as you don't want anything special. All the girls I got from the Soi Cowboy agogo clubs were sufficiently fluent in English for my purpose. I once got a farmfresh girl at Annies who did not speak English at all, but the mamasan warned me beforehand and it turned out to be no problem.

It will be interesting to see what really happens.I couldn't find the source of this anywhere, but what's the "informal economy"? The illegal?

Prostitution has been around since the garden of Eden & not a single country has been able to "purge" it yet in thousands of years of human history.

Ditto for illicit substances. How is America's "War on drugs" going? A total flop, I hear. You think the Thais can do a better job?

The American are far more "puritanical" & actually take their public statements they make as much more binding & seriously, rather than for mere "face" effect.

Prostitution is also a booming business in the USA, where it is illegal to both buy & sell. Apparently more American men, per capita, engage in it than in Canada where the business is legal.

In LOS about 80 percent of prostitution is purely Thai on Thai. It is practicly a rite of passage for male Thai teens to pop their cherry thus. They don't have the moralistic hangups about it that Westerners often do. Mia noi, second wives, are common in Siam & Thai wives believe males need the outlet of hookers & that is preferable to their spouses having a love affair.

That's the reality of the state of affairs of real life in the real world rather than merely the usual empty media poli speak, which has a longstanding tradition of its own.

The time to start worrying is, if & when, some serious action begins on the ground level, rather than just air releases to the pie in the sky.

The effect on Thailand's pussy industry to foreigners? That brings in some 5 to 10 percent of annual GDP since decades ago? None.
Just to quibble a bit; depending on the source, tourism as a whole accounts for between 6% and 10% of the Thai economy. TAT puts it a 7%.

The P4P scene accounts for nowhere near 100% of the tourist trade. Some studies peg it at around 3% of GDP. This may be a reasonable guess, based on the percentage of tourists who are single males. However, when you consider that that represents about half of all Thailand tourism, it seems excessive. I don't think there is an accurate assessment, but overall the P4P scene is a very small part of Thailand's GDP.

Regardless, if the entire foreign P4P industry were eliminated overnight it would certainly put a temporary crimp in the tourism sector, but barely cause a ripple overall. IMHO, mongers traditionally overstate their importance to a given economy.

Regardless, if the entire foreign P4P industry were eliminated overnight it would certainly put a temporary crimp in the tourism sector, but barely cause a ripple overall. IMHO, mongers traditionally overstate their importance to a given economy.I think the estimated figures are very rough guesses & no one really knows.

"Tourism is a major economic factor in the Kingdom of Thailand, directly contributing an estimated 7. 3 percent to Thailand's GDP in 2012. When including the indirect effects of tourism, it accounted for 16.7 percent of Thailand's GDP. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_Thailand.

Additionally Thai prostitutes do not just make money in Thailand from foreign tourists in the country, but all over the world. They send / bring much of it back home, but this income is largely not included in Thailand's overall income figures as a nation.

"Even outside of Thailand, a large number of Thai sex workers have been working in European countries and Japan since the 1980's; an estimate of 70,000 Thai women are working in commercial sex in Japan alone (Hornblower 1993). " http://www.sexarchive.info/IES/thailand.html.

Not only Europe & Japan, but Singapore, Hong Kong & many other countries. Thailand is known as the "brothel to the world".

"Tourism as a leading economic indicator in term of its importance to the economy is expected to contribute 14.7 percent to the countries Gross Dometic Product (GDP). "

http://www.thephuketinsider.com/tourism/tourism_impact_on_thailands_economy_by_numbers.php#sthash. Rsv2 AvRF. Dpuf.

"That 6 percent is only accumulative of what goes through legally but think about the millions that are not accounted for from street vendors, bar girls, massage parlors, taxis, passage vans, etc. I would guess tourism GDP up to 20 percent.

". 6 percent is the official figure but you are deluded if you think the knock on effect is just this figure even if the disruption only results in just 2 percent drop in GDP, then that's a very serious issue.

". include the money that farangs spend for their Thai wives or girlfriends" or kept women, sponsors & the like.

"Yes, I don't know how they arrive at the the figure and what they say it is, but tourism certainly provides widespread, low-barrier employment and the start up of small businesses. As well tourism is usually a high-profit (cost vs revenue) sector (except of course if people keep building hotels when the market is already saturated). It also generates crucial foreign exchange. Big-time cash cow. ".

"should these contributions by expats suddenly cease, you would have another huge discrepancy in what supports the multitude of people who need it most. Foreigners in one way or another, contribute more to Thailand than they are given credit for much, much more.

"Whatever the official GDP is, the activity provides a lifeline for tens of thousands of Thais that would otherwise go without an income. Many of the activities associated with the tourist trade are filled by illiterate people from impoverished areas that are blocked out of other opportunities.

"I am not justifying working conditions, just making the observation that without the tourism, these people would be further marginalized and suffer greater hardship. As such, the contribution is magnified because these people would become a burden or a source of conflict.

"Anyone with any common sense will know that homes purchased for Thai wives / families and kids sent to school will not be included in tourism revenues. Yet guys start out as tourists, and for the various reasons we all know, will later move to Thailand with their life savings. Combined, that type of spending is absolutely enormous, and is a direct result of tourism. The knock-on effects of foreigners traveling to, then settling in, Thailand are significant indeed. Combined with whatever the direct contribution of tourist cash to GDP -- whether its 5 percent or 10 percent -- the overall amount is staggering relative to Thailand's overall economy. ".

"Well I am estimating that direct tourism is 3.9 percent. I also think there is indirect 'tourism' - the guy who comes here meets a girl and sends her Bt10,000 a month. The person who comes to retire here. People who buy holiday homes. (I wouldn't really count an 'expat' working here as a 'tourism' although it is a grey area (I mean many expats who say own a bar are probably quasi long term tourists). But even say 'Club Med' building a hotel for foreign tourists will have a GDP effect. How much that contributes I don't know so I am guessing US $3 bn / per annum."

"very common to see a "centric" approach on such figures by expats. Especially Westerners who seem to think that without the West Thailand wouldn't exist. ".

"It wouldn't it would be Japanese or more likely German!

If the entire foreign P4P industry were eliminated overnight it would certainly put a temporary crimp in the tourism sector, but barely cause a ripple overall. IMHO, mongers traditionally overstate their importance to a given economy.

My take on this is slightly more nuanced than Mr. Phan's.

As noted elsewhere in this discussion, tourism is generally a high margin business. What I'd like to emphasize is that the subset of the tourist industry catering to naughty boys is particularly high margin. Seriously, how much capital does it take to open a bar on Soi Six in Pattaya? The rundown physical plant in your typical Bangkok oily or soapie was paid off decades ago. Ongoing operating costs are similarly modest. And don't forget that it brings in lots of hard currency.

Finally, and I think this is a key point, consider the WORKERS who make their living catering to the naughty boys who flock to Thailand. The women are almost always from modest backgrounds in rural areas who don't go very far in school. In today's global economy, where there is always a race to bottom when it comes to unskilled labor, this type of worker is very hard to employ. And when they do find work the wages are extremely low.

Mr. Phan is spot on when he notes the naughty boy industry contributes only a fraction of Thailand's GDP. But in my view that small contribution does much to provide a living to Thais who otherwise would be barely getting by. In the current political environment, with the "little people" facing off against the royalists and military, I suspect the latter is willing to at least tolerate the sex trade because they know a crackdown would make things ever harder for the lower end of the populace, and that's a headache they don't need right now.

september 17 2014.

thailand's military ruler on wednesday questioned whether tourists in bikinis are safe in the kingdom, in comments following the murder of two britons whose battered bodies were found on a thai island.

david miller, 24, and hannah witheridge, 23, were found dead on the southern island of koh tao on monday, sparking a hunt for their killers. post-mortem examinations were carried out on wednesday after the bodies were brought to bangkok.

but authorities have yet to make an arrest despite questioning several suspects including two british men -- who are believed to have travelled with miller -- and a number of myanmar migrant workers.

"there are always problems with tourist safety. they think our country is beautiful and is safe so they can do whatever they want, they can wear bikinis and walk everywhere," prime minister prayut chan-o-cha, who is also army chief, told government officials.

but "can they be safe in bikinis. unless they are not beautiful?" he said, addressing the issue of tourist safety in a speech broadcast live on television.

his statement appeared to echo others made to reporters on tuesday in which he questioned the behavior of the murder victims as well as the perpetrators.

"the female victim suffered cuts to her head. while the male was beaten on the head. but water found in his lungs suggests he may have died from drowning," he said, adding cuts on miller's hands showed signs of a struggle.

the wounds were inflicted by "a sharp, hard object. and (they were) hit hard with a rock", he added.

a bloodied garden hoe was also found near the crime scene.

Thank you.Chiang Mai and Loy Kroh St. Is far better than Pattaya or Patpong! The girls are stunners and cheaper. There will be so many you won't know whether to shit or go blind!

Also I have a bridge for sale on the Ping River going cheap. (As used in the famous war movie, 'Bridge on the River Kwaai'.)

Thank you.July is the hot and wet season (and I am not just talking about the girls! If this is your first (mongering) trip to Thailand, I'd suggest you go to both places and sample what is on offer. Personally I am more fond of the agogo clubs in Bangkok, but Pattaya is something you have to experience as well. Who knows, maybe you like the sleaziness of Soi 6 or the convenience of Beach Road more than the eye-candy in an agogo club.

Khaaaap! So lets spend millions of baht on a ridiculous, '1984' monitoring system that would send what few brave tourists we have remaining, scampering across the border, any border, but the Landof Stupid, really really very stupid, ideas. They should be spending money updating all their prehistoric immigration forms, with no spaces for email or even phone number, but which you MUST put on there anyway, then get them online, revamp the 'reporting system' make investing in their country more 'farang freindly' in general, and re-think the 'extension of stay' system to be more practical and less costly to maintain. Tagging visitors is the most insane idea ever, what are we, the juntas racing pigeons?

How much would this cost to provide all the bracelets and track everyone. How many drunk tourist will get together and play a game of 'who can get theirs off first'. They would need to be waterproof and not set of the detectors at the airports for those taking domestic flights.

I like the idea of making it easier for local to assist tourist. I mean really, as if tourist aren't easy enough to spot and rob / scam. Why not have them glow to different intensities depending on how much money you have on you so the muggers don't waste time or poor tourists. On the bright side, you could go out partying and get really drunk, then phone the police and ask them to pick you up. You wouldn't even need to know where you were!

"burmese men behind deaths of british backpackers reconstruct scene of murder.

it was a strange scene on the island of koh tao. the two burmese men who confessed to killing two british backpackers on a thai beach were forced to reconstruct the murder, sky news reported. the reenactment is a typical practice used by thai police, according to newser.com. hannah witheridge, 23, died from head wounds on sairee beach while david miller, 24, died from drowning and a blow to the head from a garden hoe. the sick men behind the killing murdered miller in an act of "sexual jealousy," according to the thai police chief.

there is one thing about some tourists that never ceases to amaze me, and that's how you can travel to a foreign land and never study anything about local culture beforehand.

just a few years ago, a couple of russian chicks were killed on jomtien by a local. one of the thai papers had pix of the bodies sitting on a beach chair. they were shot by some local pos. but these two rocket scientists were drinking until the very wee hours with these local guys, alone, on a dark beach. we can guess what lead up to the shootings.

many times i've seen some euro-broad show up at some beach, strip down to her bathing suit bottoms and go for a swim. this may play in europe, but in sea, parts of the caribbean, parts of mexico, etc. , etc. , it's highly frowned upon and highly insulting to the locals. it also give the impression that all farang women are hos and sluts.

now we have a couple going at it hot and heavy on a secluded beach, in a country where, until very recently, men and women didn't even hold hands in public. how is this a good idea?

while i deplore this act of senseless violence, and i'd be happy to pull the lever on these two cretins, we still all need to take responsibility for how we act in a foreign country and to avoid potentially dangerous situations. a little research would have probably saved these two kids' lives.

I've been in Thailand for almost six weeks. One thing I was not prepared for was how [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) poor most Thai's English language skills are. It's kind of been a spoiler on the holiday (no one can answer questions about local customs) and on mongering. I was planning to enjoy six weeks play here then go somewhere more exotic (such as Burma) for some cultural tourism, but really I am so disappointed by the linguistic (and other) skills of the girls that I have bedded here that I am thinking of going to the Philippines, where apparently the girls can string a couple of sentences together. The best girl I had here so far (and by far) was Zambian!

Disappointed so far in the Land of Smiles after Bangkok, Pattaya and Kanchanaburi.

RipplePerhaps you might wish to learn some Thai next time around to assist with your communication?

Never been a real issue from my perspective given that there are some aspects of communication that are universal irrespective of language backgrounds.

I know quite a few Americans are quite unworldly so perhaps it is simply indicative of a certain lack of knowledge about the world. Generally prostitutes are made up of the lower socio economic groups so to go to a foreign country and expect them to speak English is bizarre.

Thais do not have the reputation as the smallest though.

Having a large dick is a disadvantage in Thailand unless you happen to be with a particularly loose woman. Guys too well hung will get more knockbacks, and also more bad sessions where girls legs will seize up because they are scared. Girls will complain of pain quicker too.

Size 49 condoms are not for just Chinese and Japanese. That is silly. Every nationality has a lot of variations.

Just wondering what the quality of condoms you buy there. The pharmacy is the place to buy in BKK, I presume. I plan to bring many, just never know if you need more. You can buy condoms in pharmacy if you wish or in 7 Eleven. I use Durex Comfort as they are easy to get on and off, extra width, and not too thick. Not every single place has them, but should be available in touristy areas. There is no problem with quality for this brand. I cannot speak to other brands. Do not buy condoms that are ribbed or pimpled. Girls do not like it.

I don't like to rely on girls to supply a condom, as she may have one that does not suit.

I prefer to bring Ritex Gel from overseas as most of the local gels are not as good in my opinion. Too sticky, however most will be using KY or Durex Play.

Just ask some experienced black women. They can attest that its a misconception that average black men are so big. Its just a small percentage that are extra large, same as for whites. It is generally agreed that East Asians are smaller on average (but not always).

But there is an average size per country.

If I went to the states more often I would bring bone bags back with me.

The Okomoto. 03's are available here. Boots has the larger size as well. They are a bit more expensive than Durex but are quite good. Try 'them out if you have not already.

After changing from the Durex to a Japanese Okamoto (I may have bought in a Singapore's Watson's store) the suffering was less.

Still this was sex only suited to S & M types & reinforced my detestation of sex with plastic baggies. Fortunately there are a number of other physical services I can enjoy with ladies of the street that do not require their use.

Oh, things will change here. They are already in the process. Women have more economic power now, there are more women in uni in Thailand than men, more female CEOs than any other nation, and hey we just had a female PM.

So if you think things are not going to be different 5, 10,15 yrs from now. I got news for you. They are already way different than they were 10 years ago. Salaries are such that office gals don't have to moonlight as P4 P gals anymore. Really restaurant staff don't either. Most of the P4 P gals now are ones that are just too lazy or too dumb to do anything else. Thanks for the socio-ecomoics lecture, you are absolutely correct on these observations, and they are to be applauded, even by a horn-dog Asian cheap-sex-fetishest like me. What however, does it bring to the original discussion, in terms of the OP question -and my response, which I won't bother to rehash here?

Suffice to say that even if this becomes the first country in the world to adopt a predominantly matrilineal culture in modern times, the oldest profession will not perish.

So in conclusion. Trust me, your beer and pussy is not going anywhere.

It may become expensive, less visible, it may morph in other ways, but that was never the topic to begin with. Or have I missed something?

One chart says Australians average 5.2 inches, the other says 6.2 Should I believe either of them? I think not. Who would have done the measuring? LOL You can't get good data by asking people obviously. Most of this data is unreliable at best. I reckon experienced hookers have a fair idea though, so I only go by what they tell me. Perhaps its a little unfair because they don't meet black guys from the Congo. LOL

If 7.1 inches is average in the Congo, imagine the variations, some being only 4 inches and some being a Holmesian 10 inches. Very few Thai girls want to be pounded by a ten inch "saak-grabeua" (สากกระเบือ Som Tam pounding pestle).

Why would you come to Thailand for six weeks? This country is not English speaking as a norm. Why Pattaya? Its not for culture. Why Kanchanaburi? The only interesting stuff there is waterfalls, and nature. Fuck the cemeteries, "death" railway, and war museum. Boring for me.

My first tourist trip to Thailand was about 31 years ago and I had a good time, despite a Farang ex-wife in tow.

When I came to Thailand, over 20 years ago, I was spending lots of time with Thai girls that had zero to very little English. I was learning Thai. I did not come here to get advanced English conversation. That can be found if you need it, but perhaps Pattaya hookers is not the best place to look for it. There are plenty of Bangkok hookers studying English these days.

You just need to work out what you really want, and Thailand is not the place for the inflexible type. So go to Zambia. Should be cheaper there. Sure Philippines uses English as a normal language in addition to Tagalog.

If you eat healthy with enough fruit and vegetables and good quality meat and fish in moderate quantities there is no reason to take any additional vitamins at all. Unless of course if you have a specific disease that gives you a vitamin deficiency.

The vitamin supplement industry is a multi billion dollar business based upon fear, uncertainty and doubt and is very thin on science.

Less than 60% of the multi-vitamin products contain effectively what they claim to contain (according to a recent Consumer Lab research) and already in 2006 John Hopkins University could find no significant difference in health between people that took multi-vitamins and those that did not.

but Thailand is not 'third world' anymore. Some Bangkok hospitals are among the words best, the supermarkets sell virtually anything you can get at home plus stuff from other first world markets you may never have seen.First, by definition, the term "Third World" was created during the Cold War to define countries that remained non-aligned with either NATO (with the United States, Western European nations and their allies representing the First World), or the Communist Bloc (with the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, and their allies representing the Second World).

Therefore, it is the people of the so-called "First World" who created this term in the first place, and then abused it as a derogatory term against most Asian countries.

Second, people in the so-called "First World" should realize that the world has been changing rapidly due to globalization. After few more decades, there will be no more significant differences between their so-called "Third World" and their so-called "First World", especially when it comes to living in the metropolises.

The lives in metropolises around the world nowadays are almost identical.

Third, no offence, but the ignorance of some people from the so-called "First World" sometimes just laughs my ass off.

Asking whether one can buy condoms or any other normal stuff in Bangkok or other Asian big cities is just hilarious.

Thinking that Bangkok or other Asian big cities are too dangerous and impoverished to visit is just hilarious, too.

In Bangkok, one can always walk on streets late at night safe and sound. On the other hand, there are many places in the so-called "First World" where the local residents dare not go out late at night since they are afraid to get robbed or shot.

I would still like to know of a good shop for vitamins if anyone knows of such a place.

I have noticed that cramps went away after taking certain vitamins targeting this problem, and reduction in cum fluid after special vitamins ran out, and reduction in my knee aches when taking Glucosamine regularly. I can't put everything down to placebo effects.

I do try to eat good quality meats, fish and vegetables and avoid processed foods, but its always possible to be lacking on certainly beneficial nutrients.

I do know that the main effect of taking vitamins is to make very expensive [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140).

I also know that its often more about avoiding consumption of bad stuff, largely factory processed packaged foods, than taking supplements, however its not possible to know the levels of harmful hormones, mercury and pesticides in the fish we eat as an example.

I do try to avoid deep fried foods, not because they contain oil, but because we don't know which oils and how safe they are. I largely cook my own food, even in Thailand, and use Macadamia Oil as it has very high burn point, does not oxidise easily, not high in Omega 6s, and tastes good, etc., even though its hard to get. I am not scared by cholesterol or saturated fats. Fears of those things are becoming out-dated. "Good" and "bad" cholesterols, are not cholesterol at all. Its a misnomer. The latest theory is that it is Oxidised Low-density lipoproteins that are the danger substance causing arterial inflammation. So eat oils that are not prone to oxidisation. Cholesterol is actually a harmless small carrying/grouping molecule attached to lipoprotein packets. The diet I believe most in is usually called the "caveman" diet. Eat what are bodies are designed to eat, not manufactured stuff.

Can be bought in villa market, buy the generic cheap kind. Take one cap in the morning, add one in the evening if the production needs to be extensive. You will have huge loads and can easily start getting pains in your balls if you unload to much (3 x day for 3 days for example) . Salaries are such that office gals don't have to moonlight as P4 P gals anymore. Really restaurant staff don't either. Most of the P4 P gals now are ones that are just too lazy or too dumb to do anything else.Spot on.

Just 10 years ago, there was still a fair number of P4 P girls who were driven to the industry by the circumstances, but were actually genuinely nice, normal (sometimes even admirable) people. Over the last few years, almost all the PFP girls were people I cannot at all relate to or empathize with (despite speaking Thai now and knowing vastly more about Thailand). "Too dumb or too lazy to do anything else" is a precise observation that I've been reluctant to make myself.

Sadly, this reduces the typical Thailand P4 P experience to slapping meat, instead of a pleasant company of another human (plus sex) that it often used to be. Oddly, I found myself moving downmarket, since I may well get low-end Thai-market meat for 400-800 baht instead of the 1500-3000 baht Nana or Cowboy meat, without the latter providing a substantially different experience (perhaps a bit less rushed and with a higher chance of a BBBJ, but similarly limiting). In the good old days, I often had the thought that I could easily enjoy staying with a new girl for a few days (if I so wanted), these days it's almost never the case.

On a slightly bright side, there is a small (and shrinking) segment of the girls who have been in the game for many years, and still kept the old-school-cool attitude (most lose it), and did not become too hardened. They're not necessarily either too dumb or too lazy, just have been on the game for too long to switch to another career.

Most of the P4 P gals now are ones that are just too lazy or too dumb to do anything else.I don't think most of them were ever particularly well educated or felt the need for useless schooling. But always smart enough to realize that a quick easy 1000 baht for 15 minutes is better than 300 for a whole day of hard labor. Which of the two would you choose?

If you have large bills to pay or want to live the high life like the top five percent of Thai society, it's a no brainier. Besides, Thailand's culture is more geared toward religion, Buddhism & a fun filled joking happy attitude toward life, not being rocket scientists.

Few sex working gals who could easily afford a higher education see any use for it, with probably many more inclined to funding their own business or using their career training in P4P to continue thereafter as mamasans. Why would they want to bother with all the expense, time & mental labour to go to a college or university for years and learn another trade or profession? They could if they wanted to, as they are more than capable, but where's the fun in that?

I think healthy respectful attitudes towards sex trade workers will result in better sessions with them than those which carry the opposite feelings against them. It's like a self fulfilling prophecy.

One-tenth of one percent of Thais control 46% of the wealth. I just don't see all this economic benefits being derived by Thais poor aka as prostitutes. Sure the city folk may have benefited some but surely not those in Issan

There must be other factors in the lower numbers of hookers. Maybe many just don't consistently make money so go home and grow rice.

Though I must credit the customers as no matter how little girls there are to choose from they leave the bottom 20% alone.

Anyways to combat Thai wealth inequality its recommended they tax the wealthy more. Keeping the poor dumb and oblivious always works to help a country raise its standard of living.

Anyone had any luck getting two pops at a BJ bar? Extra tip? Last time I went I popped but I think the load wasn't big enough or was far enough down her throat that she just kept on going.

A second was in the cards except my buddy called as apparently I was about to make us run late to catch our bus, so I had to bolt.

Anyway I'd be keen to lay down the fee + another half of the fee if she'd keep going for a bit for #2.

Hey all,

I'm coming to Thailand, including Bangkok, in the next couple of weeks. It'll be my first time here.

I was curious to get some info from someone with some good recent experience there, particularly with some tips for daytime quickies (like recommended massage places or options for "full service" for say an hour) given that I'm going with a group and may need to break away to have some fun. Therefore I wouldn't be able to do the girly bars or take full night company, so I'm exploring my options.

Also, is it easy to get around from one part of Bangkok to get to these areas where what I'm looking for is more prevalent?

Are the nightclubs in Bangkok free entrance like in other places?

Thanks for any help or guidance.

LanthanoReading the forum or a few reports would help answer most of your queries. In any case, most of the infamous massage parlors and BJ bars in Bangkok open between 11 am to 12 pm in the morning. The number of girls available at that time however is limited, but you can always find places to get off at during the daytime. Stay in Sukhumvit and use the BTS, easy to get around to most naughty places.

Some nightclubs are free but some aren't. Climax on soi 11 charges an entry fee of THB 250 but includes one free drink.

Many clubs / discos are now closing at 2 AM.

Last night was birthday of a friend of GF. We went firstly to Insanity disco (ex Insomnia). I am not much of a disco goer. Music is not from my generation. I guess its House stuff. Sometimes even had a song like "Diamonds" by Rihanna. What a shock! LOL.

Insanity closed at 2 AM. Most of the Insanity Crowd then moved on and turned up at "Spicy". Music sound quality was worse there but thankfully not so loud. Very repetitive thumping. I was less inclined to dance at Spicy. A few shitty songs. Sorry, I would much prefer to hear a band play some actual "music". Even bars like Crazy House have better music to my taste. Just my bias and too old to understand this stuff. Spicy closed at 4 AM.

Then most of this crowd moved on to ThongPoon Hotel, a very run down Hotel not that far from Spicy, but having a decrepit disco on the 3rd floor, either still open or just opening at 4 am and having no entrance fees. They keep it dark for good reason, and a few coloured lasers are used. Anyway the music was a little more musical than at Spicy, not just thump-thump stuff. Looked like some of the Spicy staff turned up at ThongPoon disco.
Got home about 6 AM.

So its still possible to disco till very late. Obviously some of the girls and guys in these places are looking for a pick up, particularly late in the evening. Some girls showed interest to meet me, however I was with GF, so could not really check out the possibilities. Certainly some good looking girls attending.

Obviously I am not trying to increase sperm count as not trying to make a baby. I haven't been sperm count tested. I hope that increased ejaculate volume available will make it easier to cum, being a person who cums with difficulty, especially if too many pops already or too soon since last time.

There were signs of some success previously. Anyway I will give up any vitamins if no signs of an effect.

Many times it so happens that moving from one a Go Go to another and back makes you lose track of the music genre and it all gets mixed in the head eventually leading to losing interest in that kind of music.

While I do enjoy the occasional house / techno / EDM which is necessary for dancing at after hour clubs, a good band can make all the difference. On two occasions, I have had a great time listening to the house band that performs in Climax, I think they play a two hour set between 1 am to 3 am. Not sure if they do it everyday though. I don't think they get live bands in Mixx, but they get DJs from outside at times.

Last time I went I popped but I think the load wasn't big enough or was far enough down her throat that she just kept on going.Generally, two pops are double the fee (the fee is per pop, not per time period), and they're happy to do this. It makes no sense for the girl or the bar to give you a discount, since for most people the second pop is a fair bit more difficult and takes longer than the first one (plus there's the recharge time during which the girl is occupied with you).

Sure, it's possible to trick them, but would you also help yourself to a free drink while they were looking away?

BJ bar is different from a regular short time where overhead (finding the customer, going to the hotel, bit of small-talk / foreplay / afterplay, showers and whatnot, going back) takes far longer than the act itself, or a massage where paid session is fixed in duration. In those situations, there's a good incentive to give the second pop for a small extra fee (I sometimes negotiate 2 pops in advance along with the fee, it weeds out the hit-and-runs).

One way to maximize value is to go to the BJ bar after one or more pops earlier in the day. They'll keep working hard until you pop, even if it takes some time. The experience is passive, and they're doing all the work, so there's zero performance pressure, like there would be in a regular session.

A second was in the cards except my buddy called as apparently I was about to make us run late to catch our bus, so I had to bolt.

Anyway I'd be keen to lay down the fee + another half of the fee if she'd keep going for a bit for #2.

Any ideas? You could take two girls, pay them both to go one after the other or take one and have another sent up after you're done with the first. Also know that these girls are also available for BF.

Any ideas?I've taken 2 girls at BJ bars and got 2 pops by paying each girl the standard fee. The advantage is that you have 2 girls working on you for each pop while you direct the action, and the second pop takes longer which makes it a great experience for the price.

I recommend it.

I recommend it.I am curious to know and would love to have that. Getting sucked by 2 girls and cumming twice, will be so much fun.

And that too at 1400 Bahts!! Super value man.

Actually I tried that at Star of Light, but they refused, saying I would have to pay 2800 Bahts (700 X 4) which was way above my budget, SO I just settled for one girl each time.

Interesting logic, but not what we expect in Bangkok. Taking the girls one at a time could have got 4 pops, theoretically.

Hi Lance,

I concur. I had a beautiful busty threesome in Jakarta which was one of the highlights of my monger life. Never been to Surubay, tho. What about Bali. Is it worthwhile? I have to go to a conference there in 2015.

ThanksJust back from Bali, Kuta mainly. Not a destination for our hobby. There are sex to be had, but, not cheap, easy to find or very satisfying. No FL in Kuta, no bar pick-up, nothing in big disco Sky Garden. Old Paddy's is completely dead.

Some, hard to find, "casas" in the Sanur area, best to hire a taxi driver.

My recommendation is Angels Salon in Kuta. Ask taxi-driver. 1 hour 700 k in house. 3 hour outcall 1800 k.

Not to mention that Balinese girls are not that pretty and seem to go downhill very rapidly, once they are older than 18. Too much sun? Must be one of the worst places for mongering in Asia.

It was my understanding from being in the X houses that 200,000 was for 1 hour no matter what. Even after my hour was up I voluntarily decided to leave and had to go hunt the papasan down to give him the money. Did you give the full payment after only a 10 minute session or did you prorate it? Tell me you didn't pay upfront and get ripped off.

Going to thailand starting Dec. 1st to 30th. I realize it is the "High Season" but what sort of price hikes can I expect? A 50% increase in everything? Will SG charge me significantly more due to the season or just a bit? If a private hostel goes from 8 $ to 12 $ I don't find that very intimidating.

Thanks for your replies.

Referral fee paid for anyone recommended who shows up and works a month. Any ideas?I always wondered how the mamasans (assuming this job offer is for a mamasan) are paid.

So let's calculate (basis is 25 working days per month):

* basic wages: 1000 baht.

* drinks commission: 10000 baht (assuming this is the commission she gets on her ladydrinks, say 50 baht / ladydrink, it means 200 LD per month or 8 drinks per day).

* Customer Assigments: 40,000 baht (I assume this is the mamasan's 'cut' of the barfine, say 150 baht per barfine or a little over 10 barfines per night).

If it was a Bangkok or Pattaya position, I'd say it is not impossible to make that kind of money. But in Chiang Mai?

If the job offer is for a bargirl, the "customer assignment" must mean the fees she can negotiate with her farang. At 1500 baht for ST that is still 1 or 2 "assignments" per night, each and every day and we all know that is unlikely (or all the bars would be empty before closing time).

Anyhow, it is a bit disingenuous to present this all as "salary" the bar "offers" her. Actually the bar only pays her 1000 baht per month, which is enough to buy one serving of street food.

I assume that Peribe went to Skye Garden before 11 pm, etc. I am hoping that Syzygie's reply was sarcastic. TTG.No no, I am very rarely sarcastic or ironic. I just write pretty straight stuff and have little imagination. I have not mongered in Bali and understand that Javanese girls are probably far superior looking to Balinese. When I was in Bali, a long time ago, I thought that older normal Balinese girls were not that attractive, well below Thai standards. So I did not get the hots for any Balinese girls. Face shape was probably wrong for my taste. Although Bali was a very cheap holiday destination, nothing made me think I would return, and that was before the various adverse news about Bali bombings, drug plants, etc. And if you get sick or have accident, you don't want to go to a Denpasar hospital, right? I heard it wasn't a very good standard.

Normally I try not to focus on the negative, but Bali has nothing to interest me. I would certainly rather go to other parts of Indonesia. As I am not that enthused by Chinese looks, for the most part, Indonesia is likely to suit me better, or maybe not. I did once meet a very pretty Indonesian/Chinese girl (perhaps mixed girl) with a great body.

On a tangent now:

I tend to think of chinese girls as mostly having round or shapeless faces, slit-like eyes, straight bodies, poor waist to thigh ratios. White skin is of no importance. This may be a misconception. The very top girls may be better. Perhaps Guangzhou and Hong Khong were not the best places in China. Singapore girls looked better though. If I have to work in China, obviously I will try Macau. I attach a pic of typical Chinese looks and note that they don't look attractive to me. Completely wrong face shapes. I like narrow faces. I make exception for Chinese actress Shu Qi who is fairly cute for me, despite fairly narrow eyes.

Its probable that I am suited to real natural Thai looks of the narrow faced, non broad-nosed variety, and skin shade doesn't matter that much, small waist, skinny thighs with good gap and firm asses. Tit size not important. I like to see this type of girl dancing naked in Crazy House. Its a sickness. LOL

With all due respect, I think trying to characterize 1. 5 (1. 6?) billion Chinese and 250 million Indonesians is at best a complete crock and at worst racism that we ought not to be publishing here, in any form. It makes me really uncomfortable and I expect (hope?) I'm not alone. We can probably live without an explanation of what type of woman appeals to you, as that is of zero interest to anyone else. I would like your opinion. I have been going to Germany for the last 10 yrs and know the scene in the FKKS and SCs fairly well, although unlike you I prefer the SCs because I have developed close friendships with a few Dutch punters. If you have the time would you do a comparison of the 2 destinations? Pluses and minuses?

One thing is I do not drink very much and do not like the bar scene and hate being around drunks.

TTG.TTG,

I don't think you understand racism. Its when you discriminate against someone purely because of their race, skin tone, etc. , in hiring them from a job, being willing to talk to them, etc. I relate to individual people based on how they are, not by their race, colour, etc. I like girls of both light and dark skin, and don't care where they come from, if they are pretty. If a guy gets rejected for a job interview because his name is "Mogadishu" or "Bathaswamy" or "Kim Jong Eung", that might be racism.

Don't worry. I have fucked plenty of Thai Chinese types.

Even though Chinese looks are often not my preference, I had a close female friend previously who was Chinese (racially) and I had the hots for her. We used to attend football matches together often. There was no discrimination. She was a potential girl friend. We even considered sharing a house together. I have no problem working with Chinese people, and have some good buddies of Chinese race. I also have a close Japanese buddy. I like some Japanese girls. I was mesmerised by the Japanese girls in the Bond movie "You only Live Twice" when very young.

I relate very well to some Indians in my work place and black guys at mongering destinations. If I should meet any guy with really bad body odours, whether Farang, black, whatever race, I don't care, I will try to be not close. This is not racism either. Just it irritates my sensitive nose, and makes the experience non pleasurable.

Okay Maybe generalisation is not useful to you. However some of us try to analyse what types of looks and attitudes we particularly like, and where we best will be likely to find them. I am always willing to try something that maybe a good source of hot girls. I don't even care if they speak my Languages. Had a fantastic time with a Cuban girl once who only had Spanish (and I did not).

Should I apologise if a higher percentage of Thais appeal to me, than for Chinese girls? Both races have beautiful and ugly girls. I also have the advantage of speaking Thai but not any Chinese dialect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.I will try to be brief. Not sure how to compare very different scenes.

If you like a quick 30 min experience, Thailand will not be that beneficial to you as price won't be that much lower. However for what you spend in Germany for 30 minutes, you will get 3 to 4 times the duration in Thailand. E. g. A 2 hour session in an Oily Massage Place will cost you about 60 euros. Taking a girl to your room for the whole night, might cost 120 Euros or so. If you know a girl well, you might even take her away for several days holiday.

Where in Germany you go to one venue, and have multiple experiences, chatting to buddies in between, the norm in Thailand will be to do just one girl and maybe have no buddies to chat to. Perhaps several buddies might attend a bar together. Of course is quite allowed to do several different girls in one day from same place or from different places (more normal). Soapy Massage places have a lounge to relax between sessions if you want to do more than one girl consecutively. I have done like this years ago.

Obviously the looks of Thai girls are different to east Europeans. Not many tall Thai girls. Thai working girls are often shy and not keen to be seen naked in great detail. Like the lights low at times. Thais are generally very fastidious about cleanliness.

Thai working girls have sometimes good, often weak, sometimes almost zero English. As I speak Thai this has no impact on me. I understand Thai better than bad English.

I attend bars mostly without drinking alcohol. Some bars have girls topless dancing and a small number have nude dancing. Attending bars early in the evening, you don't really meet many drunks. Late at night there are far more drunks around, including drunk bargirls, which is not at all pleasant.

I don't like real massage, but Thailand is big on that if you go for it. There are real massage shops, and there are fake massage shops, really there for the purpose of sex. I do like body slide sexy "massage" like can be had at Dr. BJ Nuru shop for example.

In Thailand, there is no extra charge for CIM, but many girls don't do it. Full sex in a massage place costs generally 1500 Baht (less than 40 Euros) on top of Massage price of 600 to 800 Baht. Many shops now have all inclusive combined price. PSE shops are where anal sex can normally be had. Many shops this is no extra charge, but starting to attract extra charges in Bangkok. Understand that in an Oily Massage shop, you will not have much time to choose a girl from line up or pictures, and no opportunity to chat to her first to decide if you like her. She may not have good English.

I don't know everything about Thailand, as I have certain preferences and biases.

I have a month planned in Koh Sumi and after that I am not sure what I want to do. I may want to stay another week or so in Thailand. When I arrive at BKK, will they stamp me in for more than 30 days if I ask?

Since my travel planes are a little loose, I only have a one way ticket. Will they ask for a copy of my onward ticket / itinerary.

Thanks for the help.

I don't think so. If you want to stay more than 4 weeks, you probably need to make a visit to official places to apply for a visa. Otherwise fine for each day of overstay is fairly costly, I forget now, but may be more than 1000 Baht per day.

P.S. I would not stay Koh Samui for a whole month, but your choice. There are more beautiful Islands, and also better places for mongering. Koh Samui is not exciting me any more. Not high on my list of interesting places. Beaches in Koh Samui start to get beautiful late January. Not the same in the wet season. Andaman side is beautiful earlier, like from December or earlier.

Since my travel planes are a little loose, I only have a one way ticket. Will they ask for a copy of my onward ticket / itinerary. You probably won't even be able to board your plane with a one way ticket unless you are going to somewhere where you have a long stay / work permit. Same with not having a visa when you're going to a country that requires one, which surprising happens a lot. This is because if you get rejected on arrival at immigration then the airlines have to fly you back at their cost. Hence they check your ticket / visa and won't allow you on if the paperwork isn't correct. You can just buy a cheap onwards ticket, but you will run into the same problem when you leave for your next country.

Not sure I'd spend a month at Koh Samui, but each to his own. If you're on a long holiday and sitting on a beach doing nothing is your thing then it's probably a good a place as any. I haven't been there for over 20 years so I'm not sure of the scene there. If you're going overland to get there you could stop off at Cha Am or Hua Hin, the beaches are nice and the nightlife is good.

No, they won't. Though for asking they might ask you to come with them to a private interrogation room.

If you want to extend after entering the country, you can apply at any immigration office in Thailand before your 30 days are up. This would be good for another 30 days.

Thanks for the help.If you have a US passport, they will grant you 30 days. I also have a US passport and they have never ask me to see return ticket -ever. I also travel on business with out knowing my return date and have traveled with one way ticket with no issues. I would just print and itinerary (HOLD) for a return ticket on Expedia and just get keep it if they asked, they will not know if it actually paid for. As far as more than 30 or more days on I arrival, I don't know. Sorry.

Question, if you live in Colombia, why would you come to Thailand to monger as Colombia have some of the best girls in the world? I lived in Bogota 15 months and had the time of my life. Just saying. Good Luck.

I am a USA citizen, with USA Passport, living in Colombia with Colombian Residency and headed to Thailand in December. I have been in and out of Thailand as a tourist several times over the last 35 years. Never needed any advanced visa however never stayed more than a week or two at a time.

If you want to extend it you have to go the Thai Immigration office and get it extended for another 60 days by paying 1900 Baht. No more visa runs. The new visa rules are very strict, so try and avoid overstaying.

Thanks for the help. What I write here applies to German nationals and may or may not apply to US citizens.

You should get in touch with a Thai consulate in the US and find out the exact regulations.

Germans and other EU citizens may visit Thailand for 30 days as tourists without a visa. Being a tourist implies, that they must have an assured means to leave LOS, such as an round trip ticket, may not enter employment etc.

If they wish to travel on a one way ticket, they MUST get a visa at a local consulate. The visa lets you stay 90 days and is valid for 1,2 or 3 entries.

I normally buy a ticket from FRA to BKK and back from HKG to FRA.

From BKK to HKG, I usually take a roundabout route with several stops in SEA and on different airlines, deciding on very short notice, depending on my whim.

For the reasons above, I have always had a visa, but last time (this January) I thought to save the 90 EUR an traveled without one.

Emirates did not care, but Thai immigration wanted to see the e-Ticket confirmation, before they believed me that I was going to leave LOS.

Good luck.

If you get a visa from the Thai consulate before your trip then you will get 60 days. If you wait for visa on arrival then you will only get 30 days. They will not ask for your ticket. You only have to state your planned exit date if asked.

Thanks for the help. You can get your stamp on arrival for a month. After your trip to the island, you have two choices to stay longer. Go to an immigration office to get an extension for 1900 baht or pay a fine for overstay (500 baht per day = 3500).

Or you can do what I did and get a visa at a Thai consulate before you come here. That gives you 60 days up front with the option to extend for another 30 days. Its cheaper to get the visa prior to coming (and no hassles of getting the extension to add another week).

I was cleared after I provided proof that I had a 1 year extension retirement. Get the 60 day, you will not get a extension at the airport over 30 days.

The Chicago Thai Consulate offers a 90 day, multi entry visa for $200 USD. Can that visa be extended while in Thailand? Or is 90 days the maximum allowed stay per year? (The Thai Consulate website is unclear on this.) Is it better to arrive and get the 30 days allowed for a US passport then extend it for 60 days at 1900 baht /$58 USD. Can that visa be extended? I'm planning on bouncing around SE Asia for 5-6 months.
On the question of return or exit airfare tickets, will the airlines or immigration in Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, or the Philippines want to see a return / exit ticket? Pardon the questions, but this will be my first trip to SE Asia. Thanks in advance.

Thank you everybody for the great information about my visa questions. Now I know how what to do. As to the question of why would I leave Colombia to vacation in Thailand. Why would I spend a month on Koi Sumi? I am taking a break from my regular routine to participate in a Detox / Fasting / Yoga and meditation spa. 4 weeks of supervised fasting and detoxing. I have reached an age where I need to think about my physical and mental health and need to loose at least 15 kilos. Besides, it has been a good year and I can finally afford to do something like this.

How many times do you plan on entering Thailand & for how long each visit?

You might consider obtaining a double or triple entry tourist visa somewhere. This will get you 60 days per entry & each entry can be extended for 30 days.

In total a triple entry tourist visa, with extensions, could get you almost 270 days in Thailand.

Personally, if I was already in Bangkok after the 30, days, and wanted to stay another week, I would probably just do nothing and pay the 3500 Baht fine at the airport. It takes so much extra time to do things the correct way. I have experienced wasting large amounts of time going to the Immigration office. I have experienced paying the fine at the airport for a few days over stay. I have applied for a 60 days VISA before coming to Thailand.

Paying the fine was the easiest course for me (perhaps not cheapest), obviously to be used for fairly limited overstay though. It was maybe about a 5+ week stay in my case, in total.

If you spend less than 30 days in Thailand at a time, and you are a suitable nationality, you don't need VISAs. There is a crackdown on those that leave Thailand, cross the border and immediately return though after justa day or less to beat the 30 days limit. Real tourism behaviour in various countries is okay I can't speak to VISA requirements of other countries.

I just hope these two guys are really the ones that did it. I wouldn't put it past local law enforcement to frame these guys.Yeh, they didn't do it and were indeed framed. Its coming out now that people in high places got the evidence rigged. The whole Police Force looks bad as they don't investigate crimes probably and happy to fit someone up for it, where people with money and influence can hush things up.

The Thai Police force needs to start investigating tourist and foreigner murders properly but admit it if they can't solve crimes. Their reputation is rock bottom right now.

There is a strong rumour that Dr. Phornthip, who was as recently as 1 month re-instated back to head of Thai Forensic medicine (after being moved by Yingluck administration), has very recently indeed resigned her position as untenable, not being able to work with the Thai Police. Of course this resignation information is not available in the news that I can see, which is under heavy control. One wonders if this has a strong relevance to a recent major case.

There are other disturbing rumours around, regarding more than one case of Farangs killed in Thailand.

Prayuth should be admitting the Police Force and related authorities are totally corrupt and doing something about it. If he aligns himself with the Thai Police, he would be making a big mistake.

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/754481-boarding-to-thailand-without-return-ticket/Pink Pearl has it correct.

If you did have a 'double' entry visa, you might not need an extension because you get 60 days on the 1st entry. After that, if you want to stay over 60 days, go get the 30 day ext (costs 1900 baht/$60 extra). It all depends on how long you want to stay in Thailand on that entry.
After your 1st entry, you can go to your next locations. When you come back to Thailand, you get another 60 days (also extendable for 30 days).

I got my visa in Chicago. The single entry is $40 (no questions asked) and the double entry is $80.
Be prepared to explain why you need a double entry visa or multiple entry visa as a tourist. There is a place at the bottom of the form for this.
I would tell them I plan to visit Bangkok first. Then go to other cities (list a few cities). I also want to spend some time playing golf and I want to go to the islands.

Since you only plan on staying 5-6 months in Asia, your Thai visa needs depends on how long you want to spend in Thailand.
If you have a single entry, you can get up to 90 days. ($40 visa + $60 extension).
Then you can go someplace else. Lets say you go for 1-2 months. Now you are up to 4-5 months in Asia. When you come back to Thailand, you can get 30 days on arrival (free). That's 5-6 months total.

If you think you want more than 30 days on your return to Thailand, then get the double entry. ($80 visa + $60 for one ext). That will carry you for 6 months (includes your other destination / s).

Watch out with these multiple entry visa! Every entry allows you 60 days in country and can be extended for 30 days.

But if you leave the country before the expiration of that period, the remaning days are lost. You cannot come back in the country on those remaining days and you will have to use another "entry". Therefore: plan wisely how you travel so you make the most of your limited number of entries.

Therefore: plan wisely how you travel so you make the most of your limited number of entries.I currently have a double entry visa. I went to get my visa extension 2 days ago. Since I was at the immigration office already, I took time to ask about the multiple entry visas (at the 'long stay' desk where they handle multiple entry). The woman told me if you get a multiple entry visa, it's good for 90 days, then you have to leave Thailand and you can come back later. How long is it valid for? It can be used for 1 year. I thought ok great! To be clear, I asked if I would need to get a 30 day extension after 60 days like I just did today with my current double entry visa (that gets me a whole 90 days). She said no, its good for 90 days. But I did have to ask a few times to clarify this information.

My understanding, based on that conversation, is that a multiple entry visa is valid for 1 year and each entry is good for 90 days. If I could get a multiple entry and use it as she explained, that will save time and money in the future (for long visits up to a year). Thus eliminating all the extensions I currently have to get.

Java Man, when you go to get your visa, can you ask that question to the staff in Chicago? I would like to know if they confirm this same information.
(When I got my visa, the folks I talked with at the Thai consulate in the states spoke very good English and they seemed to understand clearly. I did not get that same feeling here when I asked. I had to reiterate my questions a few times).

After 90 days, leave Thailand and return later for anther 90 days. Fee is $200 USD. It's not a tourist visa, but a non-immigrant "O-A" (Long Stay) visa, and requires additional information regarding employment / occupation, bank / income statement. The retirement visa, also $200 USD, requires a notarized medical certificate as well.

As Wolvenvacht stated, should you leave prior to the 90 days, the clock doesn't stop and the remaining days are lost. I'll get the 60 day double entry Tourist visa, stay the 60 days, then bounce around SE Asia for 30+ days, then return to Thailand for another 60 days.

I couldn't find it any where. What is the best way to exchange money? US $ to Bhat. There are literally thousands of currency exchanges, bank branches, and ATMs all over the tourist areas. The exchange rates are posted on a board, and they do vary a little bit from one vendor to the next, but they're all generally very similar, free market competition keeps the rates pretty competitive. The only exception to this is at the airport, where the exchange rates are terrible. Usually about 5 percent worse than at the local changers. I believe this is because of the high rents charged by the airport authority. But all of the money changers at the airport have EXACTLY the same rate. So shopping around won't get you a better deal.

So I usually change just a minimum amount at the airport (enough for my ride and a few necessities) and wait until arrival in Pattaya or Bangkok to change more money for daily activities.

Thanks to those who recommended Lecithin. I tried it. Seemed like an improvement.

Did not subsequently have any session where I could not cum, where previously I did on occasions. In one case my SnowWhite visit was only 90 minutes after finishing a session at another MP. Still managed another cum. Of course was with a very expert BJ finish, so maybe not a totally fair test. However understand I am a person that finds it hard to cum, especially with multiple sessions in same day, no so much after an extended period of no sex.

Cum volume seemed improved on occasions. I don't have hard evidence from a large trial with double blinds of course.

The problem is not related to maintaining erections, which is a totally different thing. So Viagra type medications do not help a person with cum difficulties, some suggest even the reverse may be true.

Most banks in Bangkok offered 40.7 baht for one EUR, the independent exchange booths did a little better at 40.8, but one independent currency exchange booth gave me 40.9 baht for one EUR and no commission fee applied. Good information. What is considered a "minimum amount" ?Like Mr. E, I also cash 100 USD giving me just over 3000 THB. I usually arrive at BKK around midnight. My driver gets 1,000 of that for the ride, plus a 100 tip (IF HE didn't drive like a maniac), and a tip for the bellhop at the hotel. And since most of the money changers don't open until 10 or 11 AM, I like to have a few THB in my pocket in case I can't sleep and go for a walk in the morning. I've had plenty of opportunities to spend some money in the early morning on my first day in the LOS before the money changers open. .

I have been here for many months and I noticed that in addition to the ATM fee of 150-180 baht, the exchange rate is lower at the machines. So you take a double hit. You lose 5 or 6 US Dollars for the ATM fee and about 10 dollars with the lower ex rate (that's based on a 30,000 baht withdrawal).

FYI. The TMB ATM fee is only 150 baht AND it allows you to withdraw up to 30,000 baht per transaction. Many of the other atms charge 180 baht and only allow up to 20,000 baht. If you need more than 20 k baht, I would use TMB. Otherwise, you will end up making another withdrawal. This adds up for long stays.

In Pattaya the most I can get from the machines is 30,000. One day I checked 6-7 different ATMs to see how much I can get. Only TMB let me take 30 k (won't allow more). If I can get 50 k at one time, that will save me some dough (because I need 2 withdrawls per month). I will check that out. Thanks.

Any idea of what kind of rate did you got from the Citi ATM as compared to the exchange places during that time? (if you checked on that).

At the ATM last month I got a rate of 32.14 baht. The ex-rate at that time was 32.52 at my preferred exchange booth (if I had cash to exchange). The ATM was about 40 points lower.

Having cash to change is much better. However, one can only bring so much. Then when the cash runs out you have to use ATMs and those fees add up.

So close I concluded that the rate was not going to cause me to leave and run around town using up time and gas to find something ONLY slight better. If that is your thing knock yourself out? But I concluded that Bangkok Bank was the most consistent in giving me the best rates. In emergencies it really didn't matter who I used. Then I found out about Aeon was the only one not charging so I use them for years and plan my withdraw visits.

End of a good thing. This year Aeon started charging 150 baht, and right after every other Thai bank raised their fees to 180 which got me to say why? So whenever I do use a ATM, my business went to Bangkok Bank until recently. I used a Bangkok Bank ATM on the Darkside as usual when I get my withdraw I pretty much pocket it since I didn't want to count it in the open never been shorted but this time I was shorted 2 thousand baht. When the branch open I went inside and file a report and contacted by Credit Union a month later Bangkok Bank refused my request of shortage. When I went in and talk to the Branch manager she said the video showed I walked away not counting? I said that is what my reported indicated and that I came back when the Branch opened? I said you do not look at the video you are suppose to get the daily audit on the machine and if you did you would had a overage? Basically they gave me a dumb look so I took all my savings book and closed all the accounts and moved everything to Aeon Bank.

I also was under the impression that the limit your card has is based on your bank or the instruction you provide for them. On some of my cards I allow the Bank policy to limit withdraws at $500 USD, I have another I used for emergency for I have them authorized $1000.00 My old ATM card for Bangkok Bank allows a Maximum of 25 notes = 25,000 Baht. I also found out the majority of machines will respond like " insuffient funds " giving you the impression you do not have enough in your account when in fact it is because the machine has run low on cash. I have seen Siam ATM when this happens limit withdraws to 2,000 baht. I cancelled the transaction take my card to another machine and no problem.

I basically wanted to find another ATM branch that would allow me to take a total of 30 K, which is what I wanted at the time. So I stopped and checked about 6 ATMs from various banks along the way (there must be about a dozen of them between my place and the TMB ATM). Each of the ATMs I tried would only allow a max of 20 k (a withdrawal limit set by those machines, not my bank card's limit). That meant I would have to do 2 separate withdrawals to get 30 k. For that reason alone, I have been using TMB. No need to pay 2 fees.

Now, I am interested in trying out a Citi ATM. If I can get 50 k in one stop that would be great. And if I the machine doesn't charge a fee, even better.

Also, I noticed my ATM receipt had a statement on it saying save up to 400 bath per month in ATM fees. For more info call this # or visit a local branch. Maybe next week I will stop by the Central Festival mall to see if I can open an account at one of the banks here. On the 5th floor of the mall they have all the branches located at one end. This may be a good option for frequent visitors and guys who stay for long periods of time (like me). :)

PL, the ATM versus money exchange booth rates you report are consistent with my experiences. I get most of my cash from ATMs, but I do bring US $500 to a 1000 with me. I like to use SuperRich (http://superrich1965.com/). The main branch seems to have the best rates. It is on Rajdamri Rd. Kitty corny from the northeast corner of Central World. There are branches, with slightly poorer rates at the Chidlom and Asoke BTS stations.

I've just never tried to. In the US some banks set the default max limit at US $500, which would limit your maximum withdrawal to about 16 K. Unless you know your limit it's good to check it with your bank before you travel. I also tell my bank and credit card companies when and where I will be traveling so they expect unusual card activity.

The maximum is set by your bank and not by the ATM. However, some ATMs may be setup to limit the amount, but that is rare.In Myanmar the ATM's set the limit, which is 300,000 Kyat (about US $300). This probably has more to do with the limited amount of space in the machines as they dispense 5,000 Kyat notes. Just in case anyone was travelling here.

When I take money out in Bangkok I pay S $ 8 (about US $ 6) to HSBC. I have no choice though, since I have no access to US $ as I'm paid offshore.

However the foreign bank may have set a maximum as well that is lower than your personal maximum.

I usually end up adding a few contacts to whatsapp during each visit to Thailand.

However whatsapp does not really offer much privacy and I am always worried of my GF questioning me about various contacts. On top of that sometimes one ends up getting messages from girls in awkward situations. Time difference between east and west compounds the problem.

Is there any way of having something a dual whatsapp subscription so one can login to "special" one only when required?

How are you guys managing it?

I've been reading through the Thailand Forums for some months now, as I'm trying to decide whether visiting Thailand for the first time would be worthwhile.

Although I have read numerous posts from others here about what some Thai ladies can and / or will do to you if you get too involved, it was interesting to follow the misfortune of Aussie Rob who was shown on tonight's episode of Channel 9 Australia's "The Embassy" program.

A relationship with a Pattaya Thai gogo bar girl of around two years, he's sent her around $70,000 dollars over that period, as he believed that they'll be married and she'll relocate to Australia with him. Instead, she asks him for 1 Million baht so as to open her own karaoke place, and when he says to her he'll think about it, she takes his passport in an attempt to extort money from him. He gets it back, but not easily, and the Thai police don't come off looking good at all.

If only Aussie Rob had gone to Pattaya for the reason that ISG members go there, and if only he had read through some of the posts here before going, he would be better off both financially and emotionally.

I still laughed though.

(I was going to post this in the Pattaya Forum, but I figured it was more general than specific to Pattaya.).

How are you guys managing it?You could use one app like facebook messenger for communication with regular friends and only use what's app (or line) when you are actually in Thailand. Then when you go home, deactivate whatsapp from your phone. You can activate it again later. It might be inconvenient but you won't have to worry about the GF.

Whatsapp does not support dual accounts, most mobile apps do not. Android tablets (but not phones) theoretically support multiple user accounts, but I wouldn't rely on that (since chat apps use your mobile SIM number as the I'd).

If you have a GF or worse, wife, consider getting a burner phone. Cheap Android phones can be had for 3-5000 baht or so, cheap price to pay for your peace of mind (especially if a divorce is a possibility). You can wipe the phone if you want to bring it back home (and toss the SIM card, of course).

Never, ever, ever, add anyone on Facebook if you don't want that to be public. Facebook's privacy settings are a sham, and it's virtually guaranteed information will leak. Even if you create a fake / secondary profile, it's still likely to come back at you eventually.

More broadly, a good practice is to _never_ let other people (especially your GF or wife) browse through your phone on e-mail, and consider it a serious offense. Put up a pattern lock, and change the pattern regularly. This is good to do from the start, harder if they are already able to dig freely. If your partner is jealous and digs with the intent of finding that you're cheating, they will find something, even if there's absolutely nothing to find and you've done nothing wrong.

Or even delete the app from my phone and I am save.

The software "bluestacks" simulates an android mobile device on your windows pc, including chat programs etc.

It is running in a "sandbox" means it does not leave any traces on your pc, perfect for using in office.

I use a second "secret" email for my Asia girls, never my real email, use a local prepaid card, each time I go a new one, which will be destroyed after the trip.

Never use my real name or address with the girls, so at home I am fully clear. My wife can freely browse my iPhone as much as she like.

Wechat has a good function, you can see who is near by and filter female only. Had surprisingly good success, even with non hookers in Thailand and China.

Enjoy your hobby and be careful, our wives are very careful too!

After AEON started charging the fee, I went at Kasikorn in Pattaya Central twice, for 20,000 Bt each time. Just went through immigration a few days ago in Phuket (I guess this applies nationwide), the officer looks at the arrival form you fill, if you have no visa and you have multiple Thai stamps in your passport he calls the supervisor, this happened quite often, many times I saw them coming and checking, including me.

A guy ahead of me pulled out and then back to the desk after a quick chat with the supervisor. We talked before and after he said he comes twice a year and he told him that and all was OK.

Later it was my turn, I quickly turn the page to my exit stamp 1. 5 year ago and showed it to the supervisor and he waved me on and to the desk. They just come around behind the desk or on the side and check.

Later I asked him what was the criteria / point when he would not permit entry, with his broken English he finally understood what I was saying and said no more than "6 entries per year". I guess they feel you could stay 6 month with 6 entries so that would not be acceptable. This is fair enough I think, even UK (and many countries) has restriction of 6 months limit on tourist visas. Though I am not sure what would happen if you go for visa run, I heard they sometime take you to the office and then you have to "negotiate" before letting you pass !

Also I went to use the Bangkok Bank ATM that I always use, it said no more than max 12,500 baht (I didn't have time so I took it but later I found it only gave / had 500 bahts (hence 25/500 = 12,500 - ATM machines only give max 25 notes or 20 k baht or so here), so I should have tried another ATM, it was probably ran out of of 1000 or it was a machine that only gave 500.

By the way check latest bank rates here:

http://bankexchangerates.daytodaydata.net/

Someone mentioned TMB giving 30 k, but from this page I find their rate for GBP is usually low (by nearly 1 baht) - need to check a few days for a good average, so not worth it for GBP, but their USD rate is OK. Bangkok Bank have consistently good rates for GBP. Note that even 0. 5 rate difference on 500 GBP gives you 250 baht short (more than 180 baht bank charge!

The conversation goes: 'If you have nothing to hide, then show me what's on your phone', or variations on that theme. That's a shit test question, the variation on the "if you love me you'll buy me gold". The only proper answer to that is a firm "no", and if there's any further discussion, the reply is "if you don't trust me, you're free to leave".

Once you accept their terms / frame and start being defensive, you lost the battle. If your partner broadly suspects you of cheating, there's no way of proving you're not doing it, anything you do to placate them is likely to get them even more suspicious. If you engage in that sort of discussion, the possible outcomes are "tails I win, heads you lose".

Of course, if they had the free reign of your phone (or wallet, or bank account, or setting the tone / frame of arguments) for a long time, and then suddenly you put your foot down, they'll get rightfully pissed and suspicious. That's why it's critical to set boundaries early on, and difficult to claw back ground you already conceded.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not some sort of an ultra-macho woman-spinning alpha, just a regular guy that learned this stuff the hard way (although quite not as hard as some people I know).

Perhaps I'm a complete wimp, but after many years of marriage, I don't really see it as a battle. You don't want to hear about my life, but my aim is broadly to have a bit of fun without hurting the ones I love. Oops, I've used a bad word.

The girl was hot and we had been dating for about 9 months, but one day I l left my phone and went out. She was tempted to touch the phone when I was out of the apartment as I expected she would. She had clearly moved the phone, but I wasnt sure if she had, or knew how to open it.

I asked her why she had touched it, and she replied that all girls in China go through their BF's phone. I said that wasnt the answer to the question I asked.

She asked why I was asking. I asked why she had touched my phone when I had never once asked to see hers. And so a breakdown occurs.

She left, came back after a few days, during which time I had packed her things. She collected them then started sending me angry messages saying I had killed the relationship.

I suggested she pays the same respect to the property of others, to which they pay her properties.

With all new girls in my place, I leave the phone in plain view, leave the room, and see if its been touched. The latest 3 ladies, bless them, have never gone anywhere near my phone.

I would hope the British police would be allowed to take a DNA sample. They are the only ones on the island I trust. The DNA samples were probably altered destroyed etc. The body injuries were subsequently altered. Their is a strong rumour that Phornthip head of Forensics resigned at the time.

Thanks for letting us know about wechat.

I wish there was a way to have two logins to whatsapp. That, in my opinion, would be only way to stay in touch and yet remain safe.If you have two phones its easy.

Last trip to Cambodia, I used my regular home country phone with the regular we chat. And with my travelling phone had a Cambodia sim and was wechatting, whatsapping and vibering away within minutes. Wechat just needs to send a verification number to your second number and your up and running. Second phones are a mongers best friend. And third and fourth etc.

A British monger / punter killed two working girls (seem to be from Indonesia) in Hong Kong.

According to the news and those photos, he seems to be a very experienced monger / punter veteran. I bet he has been to Thailand or had some Thai girls as well.

I wonder if that guy is a member / reader of this forum or any other forums like this one.

What he did was totally insane and despicable, no matter what.

He has been out in Hong Kong since Summer 2013, and is now 29. He seems to have had a long time Filipina girl friend who dumped him a couple of months back. I guess he took it out on a couple of vulnerable women.

I suspect that had he been a reader of these forums he might have received some timely advice about falling in love with bar girls.

I have read the forum in length, but some things just linger and aren't answered in my view. If you like to answer that's great, if not, not a big deal.

I have come across these websites that offer their experiences: http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/travel.html.

And this one that shows cost of living: http://www.into-asia.com/thailand/costs.php.

How accurate is this? I deem it pretty good.

Now for my questions:

I hear toilets / restrooms are hard to come by and a person needs to carry TP (toilet paper) around and or the toilets are not like that in the USA and are just holes in the ground (like Russia). True, not true? Not much data out there on this.

I gather that the beaches are not swim worthy, contaminated (sewage) or at least deemed by the natives as dirty. True?

I watched "Hores Glory with a W at the front" and its good! Problem is, prices seem to be exorbitant. Are those true prices?

Also, you regular posters on here, do you live in Thailand? Part-time or full time? Married, GF? Or longtime single? Stateside?

Now for my questions:

I hear toilets / restrooms are hard to come by and a person needs to carry TP (toilet paper) around and or the toilets are not like that in the USA and are just holes in the ground (like Russia). True, not true? Not much data out there on this.In the cities there are enough toilets / restrooms around. Every gasstation, every shopping mall offers restrooms for free and many are well maintained and up to any Western standard, if not even better. In smaller cities or villages, you can ask to visit the restroom of any bar or road-side restaurant. Beter than an even chance they have Westers style toilets, but even the Thai style ("squatting") toilets are OK. It just takes a bit of geting used to. Toilet paper may be a problem here, but there is always enough fresh water and soap to clean yourself, so you don't even really miss the toilet paper.

I gather that the beaches are not swim worthy, contaminated (sewage) or at least deemed by the natives as dirty. True?
I suspect it is true, unfortunately.

I watched "Hores Glory with a W at the front" and its good! Problem is, prices seem to be exorbitant. Are those true prices? In June I visited Nataree that has considerably more attractive girls than High Class, the soapy featured in the documentary. I paid 2300 for a very pretty young girl from Chiang Rai. The fishbowl girls were 1700 as I recall. The most expensive model category girls and the very, very young highly prized by some girls were 5000. I gave the girl a 500 baht tip, so she cost about what a hard core 3-hole girl at one of the oilies would cost. What she lacked in raunchiness she made up for with innocence, charm and beauty.

Dude, what you hear, surmise, gather or have watched is simply inaccurate. Both BKK and RU are not as elementary as you are suggesting. Both areas offer pussy o plenty, great value and yes even real bathrooms with toilet paper. Been there and have done both areas many times.

Get your ass out of Vegas and go experience life outside of sex prison (USA) and have a great time. If you have read the forums at "great length" it's all laid out in front of you. No one is going to spoon feed you. Biggest problem you face is not wanting to go home.

I gather that the beaches are not swim worthy, contaminated (sewage) or at least deemed by the natives as dirty. True?Where did you gather that? Generally I prefer less developed Filipino Beaches, but Thailand has some amazing beaches down South. Pattaya Beach is the polluted one. Check out the TravelFish web site: http://www.travelfish.org/islands.php.

And next time do just a little research before you ask truly uninformed "stupid" questions.

I watched "Hores Glory with a W at the front" and its good! Problem is, prices seem to be exorbitant. Are those true prices? If memory serves, the price was 1800bt for the top level girls and 1400bt for entry level girls at that parlor in the movie. Nowadays (the movie was made in 2011) the price is anywhere from 1800bt to 6000bt depending on the girl, her classification, and the particular Soapie. The Soapies I frequent are higher quality than the one in the movie. Sukhumvit FL's are still around 1000bt and of course you can find FL girls in Chinatown for 500bt. It is up to you.

I'll tackle this, as there really isn't a lot of info on it.

All the malls have western toilets. Some, like MBK, you'll need to gather your paper from the dispenser at the door. Others, like Terminal 21, are first class toilets as you'd find in the USA. Your hotel will have a western style toilet. Almost all gas stations will have both styles, but I have encountered exceptions. Most restaurants have western toilets. The more rural you get the more you'll encounter the squat toilet. In many cases you'll see a large bucket or cistern of water next to the toilet, with a scoop of some sort floating in it. This is used to "flush" the toilet. Do so by pouring in a few ladles of water. Often the toilets aren't hooked to running water. You'll see this more in small restaurants, private homes, etc.

Now almost all western toilets you encounter will also be equipped with the "bum gun. " That's a kitchen-sink-style sprayer to assist you with hygiene. Personally, I found it takes a lot of practice to keep from soaking your ass, yourself and half the bathroom. But I'm a klutz.

So, the short answer is to take along your own TP or a packet of Kleenex, just in case. Personally, I prefer a portable pack of flushable baby wipes. Much handier than TP.

Bathrooms, themselves, aren't too hard to come by. There are no facilities in the Skytrain or MRT stations. All malls have them. All restaurants and bars have them, but you may need to be a customer. All first class hotels have them in the lobby.

I gather that the beaches are not swim worthy, contaminated (sewage) or at least deemed by the natives as dirty. True? While it's true that Pattaya City beach is not the cleanest in Thailand, Jomtien Beach is just a Baht Bus ride to the south and will get you to much a much cleaner beach experience. Also, Koh Larn island is just a short ferry boat ride away from the Bali Hai pier for 20 baht and the beaches there are pristine.

Thanks Phordphan, Daddy, Natty, Wolvenvacht, Guido88 and others. To have answered just a couple of questions that I asked.

FL= FreeLancers (pretty sure).

LD = Lady Drinks.

In your experiences, do you think Thai women are more likely to let you take pics / video of the act / of them or is it like anywhere else, depending on the girl?

In Chinatown, are the FLs / bargirls Chinese or Thai? Seems somebody commented that the girls in this area are cheaper.

As far as other items: beach water dispute is "clear" to me, toilets are a grey area. LOL. Now the obvious scams are a reminder to me to watch out with taxis meters, Tuk Tuks, jet skis, jewelry, Rolex watches, silk suits, barfines, ladydrinks (LD).

Food seems to be very cheap, but I'm a USA steak and potatoes guy, my fear is getting the runs (had that in Mexico once) and I only know Panda Express in the states (limited Chinese food), so I guess I can go to the McDonalds and Subways, & 7 Elevens of Thailand to be happy with the food. I won't eat the bugs, the lizards or cow balls or anything "crazy" like that, I suppose they have decent food correct? I have never eaten Thai or the food!

I researched the currency, so the denominations are.

$1,000, $500, $100, $50, $20 in bill forms.

Lesser denominations in coins are: 25 Satang, 50 Satang, 1 Baht, 2 Baht, 5 Baht, 10 Baht.

With the popularity of social media, etc. , fewer and fewer girls will let you take naughty pix. Most Asians love to have their pic taken while out and about, and the bar girls are no exception.

Hunting the back streets of Chinatown is something for a more seasoned veteran. Leave something for another trip. Trust me.

As a newbie you will not be able to spot a "fixed" meter in a taxi. Don't worry about it. They are still much cheaper than Vegas, that's for sure. As far as other scams go, the rule of thumb is this: Does this offer prey on my greed? If the answer is yes, it's a scam. So, bargain jewels, card games, "special deals due to Buddhist holiday," etc. , all depend on your greed and are all scams. Don't bother with jetskis.

If you darken the door of McD's, or Subway, I'll personally fly to BKK and cut off your nuts with a rusty knife. Thailand has, by far, the best street food in the world. The variety is incredible. I've eaten off the street since 1999 and have never become sick. I've eaten in many very modest restaurants, boasting some of the very best Thai food I've ever eaten, and never become sick. Rule of thumb: eat in places popular with LOCALS. Avoid places where tourists eat. First, you'll pay way too much at the touristy places. But most importantly is that places that cater to tourists are catering to a bunch of people who will never be back. If they poison a couple, who cares? But Somchai, who runs the local som tam cart, has to depend on the locals for his livelihood. If his customers start coming down with the Hershey squirts, he'll be out of business quick smart, and perhaps have a few bruises for his trouble. You will run into spicy food when eating in local places. Man up, don't be a pussy, and eat it. You'll get used to it. Decent food? Try one of the most interesting and varied cuisines on the planet.

As a noob, go over to East Fremont and eat in that dinky Thai hole in the wall. I forgot the name. It's more or less across the street from Beauty Bar. Popular with hipsters. It's been a bit dumbed down for the western palate, and it's overpriced, but it's a good place to get your feet wet.

You'll never see a sateng coin unless you buy stuff at the market.

If you enjoy looking like a tourist, by all means wear shorts and a t-shirt in Bangkok. A backwards baseball cap completes the ensemble. (If you must dress like this, please also wear sandals with black socks. That way they'll think you're German and not American) If you want to look like a moderately sane adult, wear long pants. I'll get grief for saying this. But in most countries adults do not wear shorts. In Thailand only manual laborers and very poor men wear shorts. The exception is the beach. However, the same fate awaits your nuts if you walk around Pattaya in a Speedo. LOL.

The more expensive places will have some sort of dress code. The five star hotels by the river (Oriental for one) do not allow shorts after 5:00 pm.

That time of year the highs will generally be in the low 90's, lows in the low 70's. Personally, I wouldn't bother with a jacket.

In your experiences, do you think Thai women are more likely to let you take pics / video of the act / of them or is it like anywhere else, depending on the girl?I have never been able to convince a Thai girl to allow me to take nude pictures of her. But that says probably more about my negotiation skills than it says about anything else. My guess is that in the end, it is depending on the girl.

In Chinatown, are the FLs / bargirls Chinese or Thai? Seems somebody commented that the girls in this area are cheaper.I have no idea. There are many Thai-Chinese mixed people, so it is difficult to tell. One word of warning: as a newbie, I would not go there. English language skills are rather poor in that area, so it is unlikely you will get serviced there unless you speak some Thai or Chinese. That area is really geared towards the locals, meaning cheap, quick and anything else but a missionary position is unlikely to be offered as a standard.

As far as other items: beach water dispute is "clear" to me, toilets are a grey area. LOL. Now the obvious scams are a reminder to me to watch out with taxis meters, Tuk Tuks, jet skis, jewelry, Rolex watches, silk suits, barfines, ladydrinks (LD).Always insist on using the taxi-meter in Bangkok. Outside of Bangkok, negotiate before you get in the taxi. Avoid taxis that are waiting in front of hotels and tourist attractions. They will use the meter if you insist but then they will do the scenic route around the whole of Bangkok. Flagging down a cruising taxi is the safest option.

Thai food is among the best in the world! You are more likely to get ill by eating "non native" foods such as McD or Subways. Two handy sentences to remember are "Mai pet" ("not spicy") or "Pet nit noi" ("a little spicy") if you order local food. Just avoid to drink tap water and you'll be OK. Otherwise do as the locals do: their cuisine is perfectly adapted to the local climate and circumstances.

http://www.nstravel.com/image/upload/THcurren_exposure.gif25 and 50 satang coins are very very rare. Even 1 baht and 2 baht coins are not very common. Watch out for the 500 ad 100 baht bills. They are both reddish in color and in the "red light" districts it is sometimes difficult to see the difference. It has happened to me that I tipped someone 500 baht rather than the intended 100 baht. Now I keep the 1000 and 500 baht bills in a separate section of my bill-fold. The smaller bills (100,50 and 20 baht) go into a more easily accessible part of my wallet.

Since the weather is tropical (going in Feb) shorts are the standard dress, pants too? Are there dress codes in some places? Seems like Jan and Feb would be out of the rainy season, so a light jacket I suppose. Most of the Thai men will wear pants in town. Shorts are for youngsters, at the beach or -indeed- for tourists. Don't wear shorts when going to a temple, most museums or fancy restaurants. Thai girls love "sharp dressed men"! I usually wear pants with zip-off trouser legs. Depending on the circumstances I can adapt! When going to the agogo-clubs I wear pants, a clean short-sleeve shirt and I took a shower before going out. Jackets are not necessary unless you intend to do business. I find a small umbrella much more useful than a jacket.

.I'm sorry, do forgive me, but I had to laugh, in a nice way, when I read Panda Express as having any relationship to Thai food. Other than they "might " both be Asian, and might both have rice dishes. I thought things like the Discovery Channel had made the world a much closer if not exactly homogenous place. I would love to go back 35 years to my first time to Thailand where I had never encountered Tom Yam, Somtam etc (nor Mekong whisky!) I think its great in this world of well traveled, ocassionallyflea bitten, rough at the edges mongers, there are still people who haven't yet taken their first Thai trip and are curious about how it will be.

Since those 35 years ago, having eaten crocodile fillet, lambs brains (simmered then topped with a warm lemon squeeze) , elephant, dog, cat, horse, snake, bee larvae, river eels, chicken cooked in its own blood, scorpions, frogs, and too many animals balls to count, I seem to have forgotten those innocent far off days when I would think that my local Chinese takeway had any relationship to anything Thai.

If you go outside wearing long pants and closed shoes you will sweat your ass off after 100 metres already (or 100 yards in your case). In the daytime it's simply too hot to be dressed like that IMHO.

When you get here you will notice that the majority of the mongerers wears a short, t-shirt and either flip flops, sandals or closed (sport) shoes. With the exception of Arabic and Indian men mostly.

Even at night when most of us go out hunting for pussy the majority still wears this outfit. Personally I change to long pants and socks in closed shoes at night because the temperature is bearable by that time and because I know the ladies appreciate it. Usually the ladies dress themselves nicely as well when you barfine them and they don't like to walk hand in hand with a shabby looking man.

However some people at this forum think it doesn't make any difference how you dress because in the end the only thing the girls care about is your money. But it's not my intention to start this debate again.

I find a small umbrella much more useful than a jacket.I fully agree with this. Thai Girls and most Asian women are suckers for sharp dressed men. And if you are a sharply dressed foreigner in BKK its even more of a novelty for them as they hardly ever see that, especially in the tourist areas. Also the way you are dressed makes a huge difference in the way you are treated in BKK by the locals. You are not given the tourist attitude which is pretty much "lets screw you for all you are worth" but people will start to be more respectful, take you seriously and wait on you hand and toe.

I have experimented with this many times during my numerous BKK trips these last 2 years. On my most recent trip I wore a v-neck and a pair of shorts with flip flops and went to Baccarra. Although I pulled a cutie it wasn't smooth sailing and even the staff and doormen could not give a damn. The next day I work a Jacket, tailored pants and a nice v-neck underneath. The doormen were begging me to get into their bars, literally dragging me inside, giving me a private booth, top of the range girls coming over without having to call them.

This was a conscious experiment.

I have tested this in the Malls, Restaurants and everywhere service oriented in Bangkok. I have a lot of Thai friends as well and when we go out, appearance is a huge deal to them. They would rather not be seen with you if you dress like a tourist. I have tested this theory many times and confirm without a doubt to be true.

Most tourists in BKK don't even dress well when going clubbing. I always make sure I have a nice thin lightweight jacket on before going to a high-end club and have never once have to stand in line. The doormen usher you in because the impression you project makes them think you are a client of value and will spend big bucks. You don't have to spend once you are in but the impression never hurts.

So my advice is, if you are going out sightseeing and walking most of the day around BKK, be comfortable, but if you are going out to any service oriented venue in BKK like a Gogo or Restaurant at the very least look presentable. Shorts and T-shirt will get you what you want but leave a bad impression of you and it will eventually reflect on the service you receive.

In Chinatown, are the FLs / bargirls Chinese or Thai? Seems somebody commented that the girls in this area are cheaper. No, don't go there as a newbie! Start with the beer bars, go go's and massage parlors (not necessarily in that order). Once you are familiar with the scene and feel confident enough, maybe at your second or third visit to Thailand, you might want to explore the freelancer scene. And then it's best to start in a disco or club or at Beach Road Pattaya or Nana Plaza parking lot Bangkok but certainly not in Chinatown Bangkok.

The scene here is totally different from the USA and everywhere you go the girls will know within seconds that you're a newbie and they will take advantage of that. You'll have to learn how to handle these girls and the best way to learn that is in the beer bars, go go's and massage parlors. Freelancers and most certainly street walkers are usually more tough to handle.
