Barring a couple of of GoGo bars which could be termed racist, which should any way not be bothering, as there are plenty of them around the town, I have never experienced any dislike for Indians either from FL or in GoGo bars or other places. So, it does not matter whether you were born and bred in America. All that matters is money and you should keep going. I have no doubt you will be able to pick up any number of SYT, by being courteous and nice to girls.

I needed to get my visa extended. My gym offers help with this. I paid around 4000 thb for trip to penang malaysia. I paid 1500 thb to visa people and another 500 baht because I did not have a exit ticket out of thailand and they provided me one. It was a long trip to penang from thailand, around 12 hours. We had to stop at border on thai and on malaysia side.

The things I needed were, my passport, 2 passport photos, exit ticket out of thailand, copy of passport, some kind of exit thing that I think I got when I entered thailand, (had to buy for 200 baht), note from hotel saying I was staying there for 3 months, and I think that was it. When we got to penang, we went to the thai embassy, and did the paper work. I left my passport with them. The next day we were taken back there and given our passport back. We then left to come back home.

I exchanged 500 baht for ringgit at a currency exchange. Meals and hotel were provided by visa company.

It was a long trip in an uncomfortable van. Some really friendly nice people were also going there, and meeting them was nice.

What they don't want are people just repeatedly staying in Thailand on a free visa. Anyways, the 6 month multi entry tourist Visa is so cheap anyways. Better to just get one. Also if it matters I am in Phuket, but kind of out of the main areas.Although outside of Phuket, for example if you use a International hospital like in Pattaya, Bangkok / Pattaya, to drain the fluid from you elbow, emergency room might be around 3- 5,000 baht, that would include the medication. If it isn't a lot of fluid it might drain in a day or so if you use a hot compress. Sounds like you hit your elbow on the berseck (sorry for spelling). At BPH, the average Dr. Charge is 600 baht, then they ala carte everything Then they will try to soak you for a few days inspecting and cleaning it.

This is something I think you can do in a clinic which should be lot cheaper which I'm sure are plenty in your area once they tell you what they got to do, ask them how much? A hospital as mentioned above will take longer for a answer since they have to check with the other departments. The clinics in general never provide a breakdown or receipt?

I researched a lot of options for BKK-CRK flights when planning my upcoming trip. Some online agencies will sell you a ticket from DMK to CRK via Macau. The connection times both ways are very short (about 1 h 30 min), though, and I would not count either Air Asia or Cebu Pacific being on time. For me the best option would have been to buy separate tickets for DMK-HKG route and HKG-CRK routes. The price without luggage would have been about the same as on BKK-MNL route but instead of spending few hours in a bus to AC I would have had the opportunity to spend a day both ways in Hong Kong.

In the end I decided to skip Bangkok this time as I will be vacationing in Thailand in few months anyway. If you decide to travel from Bangkok to Angeles City, please report back.

It seemed to waste a lot of space on Hotels, restaurants, transport, etc. Fortunately we have the internet to make those travel guides totally obsolete.

Great town, beach is on the air force base and you have to go across the runway to get to it. Very few tourists. Great seafood. I am not a beach guy, but PKK is fantastic. And cheap. Prachuap Grand Hotel for about 1300 Baht a night.

She described the area as "relaxed and sleepy". For comparison, this same girl described the nightlife on Koh Samui as "raunchy". If you have never visited Koh Samui, it isn't nearly as raunchy as Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza.

Its a good deal for those who want to use the low cost buses during the day to Pattaya, rather than take expensive taxis at night. Read tripadvisor reports for more details.

With FLs its always the question of finding them. On some public holidays (ie. Makha Bucha) I have found company and beer (or even JD) served on some not so centrally located bars, for example near the corner of Soi 4 and Soi 6. Ban to sell alcohol will probably be in place and some club and bar owners have announced that they will voluntarily close for the day or even for the whole week. Insanity Club has a calendar of events on their web page and it shows business as usual. It might be good to check with the place beforehand by calling or messaging them through Facebook.

WeChat could yield results or you could set up a meeting with someone the night before.

The emotions of Thai people are running high on that day, for one reason or another, so if you find company or a place of entertainment, being discreet about might be wise or at least respectful. Especially noisy activities might offend some people.

From a newbie's viewpoint this is advisable as pussy is readily available at all times in different formats and price ranges in Pattaya. And they are all situated relatively close to each other in an accessible manner.

The night you arrive, take your bags and head to Pattaya. You might arrive in Pattaya by 1 am but that is when Walking Street gets going. Gogo bars stay open till 3 am. Insomnia, I-Bar, Lucifer and other discos stay open till 5 am or even later with a reasonable selection of freelancers to pick from.

On your last day, head to Bangkok (if you must) and then go to the airport from there.

Some will choose not to work. Personal decision perhaps. I expect a lot of businesses to close whether Entertainment or not. Even the supermarket could well be closed in my guesstimate. I don't see why Malls would open. Would be very unseemly for Thais to do that. I am sure Insanity would not dream of opening on the day being an entertainment venue. I am certainly going with the most pessimistic assumptions and probably will stay home.

I am basing my estimate on info I got from Thai friends visiting me this month. They are flying back and arriving in BKK on the day of the funeral. I have been meaning to ask what is going on with the crowds on the BTS? The BTS was far more crowded during my visit this past September than in years past. It seemed to be ridiculously crowded at all hours. I was in BKK for about 10 days and there was only one day where it was not insanely crowded. There was more than one occasion where we had to wait for a second train going in our direction.

Assuming a five day stay means the person does not have a lot of luggage to deal with, likely only a carry-on, taking the Airport Train right into the area of Bangkok's primary P4P districts of Nana Plaza, Sukhumvit Road, Soi Cowboy and Patpong is the fastest, cheapest and smartest way to go, imo. Stay that first night in that area of Bangkok. If arriving at 9:45 PM, one could be set up in a hotel and out among the night creatures by midnight or so.

Then if the guy wants to head to Pattaya the next day he will at least have had a taste of Bangkok and some comparison to it in mind when he gets to Pattaya. That being the case, he might not choose to stay in Pattaya more than a night or two. Personally, I wouldn't. Pattaya might have it over Bangkok in terms of densely packed quantity around Walking Street. But if better looking girls who know how and actually will deliver much better service and likely at a cheaper price is important to a monger, I wouldn't bother staying more than two nights out of five in Pattaya instead of Bangkok.

1. RL.Yes I think this (Paiboon Talking Dic) is the best because it also has sound for all words. It is well worth the money for anyone serious about learning and willing to go through the years of study to get to my good conversational standard. I started Thai in 1990. The resources available were all books at the time, and not many ideal for Farangs.

Don't believe web sites that tell you can be fluent in a few weeks. It is bullshit. No one will have even pronunciation going that perfectly in just a few weeks.

Thai-Language.com has limited sound files. They do play for me after a considerable delay. I also use Thai-Lang on an iphone (without sound). I am advanced enough not to need the sound a pronunciation of Thai words is largely systematic and lacking exceptions to the rules. Not like English where spelling does not imply pronunciation for 50% of words. Thai-lang word base maybe a bit larger than Paiboon talking Dic however the later is best for beginners to intermediate level. Its weakness might be that it tends to have single Thai words moreso than phrases, but a lot of phrases recently added. Some colloquial things missing, especially new teenage slang.

You can plug Thai script into Google Translate to get sound either fast or slow speed. That could be very handy.

I also use Thai Best Dictionary App and Longdo.com but these are intended for Thais not for Farangs, so don't recommend.

I also use Flashcards deluxe App to feed in my excel spreadsheet vocab lists, and Anki for advanced study of vocab from Thai news articles.

RL.Duke Language School on Sukhumvit Soi 13 charges 7000 baht for 60 hours and provide excellent textbooks which the lessons are closely based on. The instructors were the best of any of the 6 schools I attended. The downside (for me anyway) is that the classes are 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for 20 days. Regarding AUA, you might as well save your money and stay home and watch TV because you are basically not allowed to ask questions but just sit there and watch 2 instructors perform some type of skit with no idea what the lesson is about and no textbooks to study or reference.

RL.I think I posted on this before. But had it for many years but have to be post paid. T-Mobile sucks in coverage in the US. The roaming data speed is really slow but OK for slow social media. There have been many promotions whereby sometimes a free line is offered. ATT used to have a deal but it was expensive but OK if it is covered by the company. Many people I know who were grandfathered in dropped the service because the rates have come down do much on plans.

You can avoid the charges by forwarding your number to Hangout.The SIMs tend to time out and then you have to replace them. You also have to keep track of all the different phone numbers. I love landing in a country and having my service connected when my plane is wheels down. Don't want to deal with the taxi mafia at the airport, you have connectivity to call an Uber. Want to a girl waiting at your hotel, just go ahead and message her.

My experience with Google Fi has been LTE 4 G speeds even in outlying areas in Colombia and Peru. I got 4 G in El Calafate, Patagonia Argentina and in Atacama Chile, which only has one paved road. On rare occasion in the boonies it has gone to 3 G, never 2 G. Google Fi uses T-Mobile AND Sprint and automatically selects the best connection and speed (seemlessly). When T-Mobile service had an authentication issue in Lima Peru, I had to call Google tech support. Because the T-Mobile signal was strong, my phone would not auto-switch to Sprint. In 3 minutes they diagnosed the problem and told me how to make the phone default to Sprint and I was good to go. I have never had an issue in the US. And with my usage (generally about 1 Gig sometimes 2 Gigs a month), it is cheaper than T-Mobile. I think T-Mobile is a good option if you don't mind poor customer service, slower speeds when out of the country, or need an unlimited data plane.

Another differentiation is service. I get a clear clean understandable simple bill and on the few occasions I've called for support, I got someone knowledgeable and helpful on the line within a minute. When my Nexus 6 P started to get squirrelly towards the end of its warranty period, Google sent me a brand new Pixel XL to replace it. When I had T-Mobile, customer service was aweful. They also give you a free 2nd data only Sim. I put that in my older phone so when I'm going into anyplace the might be sketchy, I'm not putting my new phone at risk. It can also go into a data enabled tablet. The only downside I can see are a smaller selection of phones (But I'm very happy with the Pixel) and no iPhone if that is a deal breaker for you. Departing on Friday, you arrive in BKK late Saturday, but still have time to play once you arrive in Pattaya after a 1. 5 hour cab ride. You will likely need to leave for the airport the following Saturday about 9:00 pm for a midnight flight back to the states.

Believe me, the longer you can stay in Thailand the better. 7 days IN country would be my minimum considering the money and time it takes to fly from East Coast USA to the Land of Smiles. So, adding in flight time I would advise you to plan spending at least 10 or 12 days on your trip total (2 weeks would be a lot better) or forgetaboutit.

Keep in mind that for short getaways from East Coast USA, the easy alternative is zipping down to Colombia or Brazil with 2/3 less travel time and plenty of attractive Latina hotties to keep you company while you have a 7-day blast. I live in SE Florida and I prefer Asian girls over Latinas and Asian culture over same same, so I travel to Asia every year even though I know exactly what the long duration flight to BKK is like. But my trips average 72 days or longer, so the torturous flight time is justified in my mind. But if I only had 7 days max to spare, I wouldn't think twice about it. I would head on down to Medellin or Sao Paulo for the best Latina girls period or Cartagena or Rio for the best combination of Latina girls and beach. Of course the decision is yours. The SIMs tend to time out and then you have to replace them.I hear you. I am just a more frequent traveller and receive local text and calls. So I always get a local SIM. Social and Internet based apps are penetrating the various countries but for now, the local SIM gives me more flexibility and convenience. Not all have Internet access. Hence I also have a T-Mobile SIM.

I checked Google Fi and it requires a newish Nexus phone, which I do have. The credits are applied supposedly to the next months bill. Since I do have a Nexus phone, I might give it try sometime.

Also, Asian local phone plans are starting to offer some flat rate roaming at a fairly expensive price.

I will keep it short here but when I have time, I will explain in detail. I am posed as hell with the attitude of Indians.

Being an Indian myself, I found about 90% of us fit perfectly in the following 4 categories. Rude, Loud, Dirty and Cheap and most of these guys couldn't speak English (if you know a little bit about India then you know pretty much everyone educated speaks English very well).

Now tell me why would anyone want to be near them, much less fuck them.

The LOS will do a favor for everyone if they stop issuing visa on arrival for Indians before the hordes turn this beautiful country in to one filthy place just like the towns and cities we have in India.

Don't get me wrong, I saw and met several well educated, well travelled and affluent Indians and they all share the exact same opinion.
