leaving phuket.

having just finished a relatively calm week in phuket, unfortunate circumstances allowed me only one day in bangkok before leaving the country. phuket certainly has its charms (see my post #1301 in the phuket section for a rundown) but bangkok is the big leagues and like running a marathon, you have to prepare if you want to make the most of it.

so, i should back up to the night before i left. maximizing time in bkk means taking a morning flight (and arriving in relatively good shape) which means making it an early evening. i told be that i would get her at the buffalo bar at 19:00 and i would take her out to dinner – sort of a last celebration. so she took me to a local place of modest means and everything was great. except that i had tried to get across to her (and the waitress that) that i didn’t want farang style food but when it came there was the ubiquitous steak and fries and the chilies had been reduced on everything else. oh well.

I think you should reread this thread in particular. There are many 'not good' words said about Club Eden in the quality of girls dept. Its not just me but many others.

For what it's worth, I'll add my review of Eden. I went there for the first time on Sunday. I've been in BKK for 2 months, had plenty of fun, had very many reports about Eden so thought it was about time to go.

Got there at 1pm Sunday afternoon. Large number of girls to choose from (20-30 easily). As far as looks go they were just fine in my book. I've had better, I've had worse, but there were shapes, sizes and looks for all tastes.

It will take you about 45 minutes to go directly from DM to the new airport assuming there is no traffic and about 30 minutes to the Sukhumvit area from either airport, again with no traffic. If you hit a jam, not unusual in BKK, it can take double that or more. As AT2 said, it depends on how much time you have been flights. It it is five hours or more, Bangkok is yours and you can pick the pleasure that appeal to you most. Less thasn five and you have to be very careful with your planning.

The Soi 33 bars are generally quieter. Based on your prior posts of not liking intrusive people, you will probably like the laid back "give your space" type approach that many of the Soi 33 bars offer. It is, on the other hand more expensive. In some cases 2x or more expensive. The girls are dressed to portray a higher class of girl, although some will argue that they are Nana girls in better dresses.

I like the Soi 33 bars as a change of pace.

1 Go-Go (Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, etc.)

I often stay at the Dynasty Inn Grande, since it's a decent room and it's discrete (No walk of shame .. and I have alot to be ashamed of! LOL!). On Soi 4, there's a small hole in the wall bar called the Tavern. They have a good (not great) American breakfast (3 Eggs, Bacon, Ham, Home Fried Potatoes). Great if you like crispy Bacon like back home (If you are from the states).

Another nice thing about it is "J". Sorry, but I'm not sure how you spell her name. Attractive (girl next door) and easy to talk to. I have not tried the "take-out" option, since I enjoy going there in the mornings and don't want to add the potential drama in the mornings, if it did not work out! LOL! There's also a hot hostess at the Nana Coffee shop that I saw yesterday during brunch. Not sure of her name, but very nice.

After a marvellous week in Pattaya, I travelled to BKK. Thi is my first time here so any conclusion on my psrt are my experiences and impressions and should not be taken as purely objective.

Accomodation: I booked a room with Thai House Inn. I checked in and thankfully asked to see the room. It was a cockroach short of a cesspit. The guy who owns the place advertises one thing on the net but the reality is a far cry. I take by bag out and look around. Within 20 minutes I find another Hotel. Middle East. Nothing special but clean. I do not intend to stay indoors but at least I feel safe in the knowledge that there are no six legged creatures around.

Things to see: For newbies, take time to visit the sights. They are worth it. I booked my tours with an agent. To my surprise I was on my own with a guide (a real Isaan gem) in a taxi. Excellent, apart from the traffic! Visit the Grand palace, Emerald Buddha, Reclining buddha, Golden Buddha, Floating market, Rose garden. Jut to mention a few.

Money: BKK, at least the Sukhumvit area, is somewhat more expensive that, let's say, Pattaya. But don't get carried away-it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Mongering: Since my time here is limites I had to make certain choices. Don't take notice of the touts trying to get you to some show. They sound dodgy. The first place I tried was Gulliver's (Soi 5 Sukhumvit). Interesting place. The girls there are a bit older but a bit cheaper as well. Had two interesting cases which more experienced members may help throw light on.

Experience number 1: I sit down and start talking to this girl. She's from Laos and she works in a department store during the day. We get talking and she' pretty enough to take to the hotel. Once there, the receptionist tells me that since she's not thai there can be no guarantee if something happens. I hesitate and decide to play safe. I send her home. Did I do the right thing?

Experience number 2: having a drinl in the aforementioned place. Another girl sits down next to me, 31-33. Great body, sweet face. We start talking. During the converstaion it emerges that she despises Isaan, its people and its culture. She comes from BKK-born and bred there. Just to clarify - Anal warts are quite rare, but when they occur, they tend to be caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), a family of 100 viruses that cause different kinds of warts in different areas of the body. Would Christies be worth checking out (anyone)? Are the girls on the door likely to be available, assuming that she is a class above all those inside?
I don't mind paying extra for a truelly 1 in several hundred type of superior girl but not for very average girls.

The experience I had at Sazanka was among the best I have had. As my name implies I have been mongering for quite some time, too long really and Sazanka is really there. Not so much for the erotic aspects (nothing really beats a swingers party in Sydney or Paris or FKK in Germany) but as a total body experience it's really hard to beat. Anyway there was nothing more than HJ, but what a hand job.

Other posts have gone over the procedure. The Sazanka massage was the option I chose. The menu of girls was too complicated and so I went with the papasan's recommendation. Wouldn't normally do that, but, Giotto's and other reviews suggested it was ok here - and it certainly was.

Cut to the chase. The shower, body scrub and massage are about as good as you'll get at any legit massage place and right up there with Korean scrubs I've had in Soeul. The thing is, after such a good massage you are so relaxed that you almost forget about what's coming up (well maybe not).

The HJ was so well integrated into the whole service and so well done that it was close to an out of body experience! If believed all that alternative medicine stuff I'd say I'd reached some astral plain. I particularly liked the way she put my legs on either side of her and my arse in her lap. The opened me up completely and allowed All Areas Access. What a trip!

This experience was all about quality not PSE. Club Eden is for PSE, this is for a more relaxing, but still highly sexual experience.

If you're in the Suk area and not up for a trip all the way to the big time soaps, Darlings is not a bad spot. Bit rundown and the papasan was a bit greasy. The line-up on the night I was there (Wednesday) was quite light on. I asked for the previoulsy reviewed Pim or Pam or somehthing like that. Papasan went out the back and got her. She was cute and small and smiled (like most, but she had something cool about her) and so it was a deal.

In room, it was all by the book. Mutual washing, bath with great body slides, Ok massage, BBBJ, CFS and so on. It was good, it was fun and it was good value. Was it a wild time, an erotic fanatasy; no. But I guess it depends a lot on the girl and YMMV.

Worth another try.

Asiatraveler summed it up pretty well already, but I'll add my opinion. Following can be advantages or disadvantages, depending on your point of view.

1. On average, bars are classier (decor is nicer) and quieter than Nana/Soi Cowboy/Patpong. There's no go-go dancing.
2. Women wear evening dresses in many of the bars. They'll change to their regular clothes before leaving if barfined.
3. While I agree with Asiatraveler that the majority of the women are what you'll find elsewhere, only dressed up, there are exceptions. I've met university students in Soi 33 bars that were serious students.
4. There's a higher percentage of expatriates and businessmen among the clientelle, vs. sex tourists (like most of us).
5. On average mileage on the women is less, unless of course they hang out in Soi 7 during the daytime, used to work at Nana, etc. That has its own advantages and disadvantages -- do you prefer someone fresh or someone experienced?
6. The flip side of "5", the reason the mileage is less is because of 1500 Baht bar fines. Drink prices are also higher. The women get part of the barfine, so theoretically you should be able to pay them less than what you'd pay a comparable girl from, say, Nana or Patpong. But it doesn't always work out that way.
7. A higher % of the women in the bars won't have sex with you. This can be annoying if you're buying someone high priced drinks and then find out she won't leave with you. And it can be really annoying if you pay the barfine and then find out she won't sleep with you, although that's never happened to me. You can avoid these problems by asking before you buy.
8. Some may argue with me on this, but on average I think the English skills of the girls on Soi 33 aren't as good as Nana or Soi Cowboy.
9. There are decent women in the bars early in the evening. In fact, the best time to go is before 9:00 PM if you're drinking. The bars have happy hour specials that make drink prices competitive with other venues.
10. I haven't seen a lot of real stunners in Soi 33, and a couple of the ones I have seen wouldn't have sex with customers.

I don't doubt your assessment of how it is transmitted I only know that to the best of my recolection I had no other anal experiences within the year prior. A friend on mine's wife has vaginal warts and he must go in and have them frozen off of his dick, and I thought the ass was painful! If I could make a suggestion, if you have the time, here's my BKK sampler platter:

1 Super Soapie (Poseidon, Utopia, etc.) There are at least a dozen that are worth visiting. Be sure to check out the "models" in the bar areas.

1 Go-Go (Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, etc.)

Now both have there good and bad sides compared to each other.

a. Small room
b. Old looking and bit run down
c. Bathroom are small

The Ruamchitt Plaza & Hotel
Good:
a. big room
b. Nicer looking
c. Travel office and tailor in-house
Bad:
a. No Breakfast included
b. No in-room safe

If you have stayed there or have first hand knowledge of those hotels can you help me get an insight on which one is the better of the two for a 4 night stay?

Now if you have an alternative to those 2 in the same price range, great location, no joiner fees and near soi Cowboy, please let me know.

I will add my 2 cents worth. Only went once 4 years ago. It was quite an experience for a new commer to Bangkok! I developed warts on my asshole which was licked liberally by one of the ladies. There's a hotel thread that this should be posted in. You are in the wrong thread. I would say forget about the breakfast. You can find good eats around town. I always want the in-room safe. Leaving cash in a safe deposit box at the reception desk is a pain in the butt.

Yes, I had a good time at Christies and Dali. Fewer customers and more laid back. Most girls are ok, but you can find some stunners in these places. It's hit and miss. The best looking girl I have seen was in one of the two bars I just mentioned. Unfortunately, like Tiny 12 mentioned, not all of the girls will actually go with you. That stunner spoke zero english and did not want to go with a non Thai speaking man (Yes .. I believed her! LOL!). I have never had one of those girls leave with me and not get sex, so I don't think that's an issue.

As far as I can tell, all of the girls are available to the right man! LOL! I have not had any of them say that a girl was not available. I did get other hotties from those clubs, who had no issues with going with me, so I think it's a YMMV issue. I also agree with Tiny 12, that the english speaking ability seems on average, lower than Nana or Soi Cowboy. I believe you speak Thai, so that would not be an issue for you.

The one place I want to get a handle on is the Pent Executive Club (Wireless road?). I went there twice with a host. There are some hot woman there, but lots of customers too, so many good ones may be locked up. The mama will set you up with some options. It seems more like a hostess type set up with a band playing on stage, but I did get take out with a young hottie.

The host took care of the bill, so I'm not sure what the exact system is. I did not want to ask too many questions, since I did not really know the host that well. A friend of a friend. It appears that you buy the girls drinks for their companionship and I assumed the barfine was an option. If take out is not normally an option, then it takes a lot of the luster off this place. I have heard another poster review the place and said there's no barfine system. I have heard from others, that there is. What gives with this place? Did my host pull strings?

I need to get back there on my own, so I can get more info.

I've never had that happen to me either. In fact, the women I've pulled from Soi 33 on average have been more enthusiastic, more into me, and more GFE. Maybe it's because they don't get barfined so often, or are looking for a longer term customer -- a higher % of the customers in these bars are white collar workers living in Bangkok. Soi 33 might be a happy hunting ground for a woman looking for a potential meal ticket who doesn't want to get screwed by a different man every day.

Anyway, I have a friend who was left high and dry after he paid his 1400 Baht and wined and dined a woman. She said the barfine doesn't guarantee sex. But I guess the same thing could happen anywhere. Anyway after that I always confirmed sex was on the agenda before barfining on Soi 33. Like discussing which hotel we were going to.
