Unfortunately Nana and Sukhumvit Road has become such a slum that you might want to look for new options. Here are two such alternatives for meat-pumping action.

Meat-pumping alternative #1: Soi Ngam Duplee

Soi Ngam Duplee is easily approachable from Sala Daeng BTS station. There are locally based freelancer meat hanging around the hotel lobbies, especially at Malaysia Hotel. Also, Patpong is at your doorstep, just 5 mins walk away. The area is well supplied with good value accomodation, under 700B.

Meat-pumping alternative #2: Khaosan Road in Baglampoo

Khaosan Road in Baglampoo. This is not only for backpackers. In fact quite a number of ageing, wrinkled-dick sex-tourists hunt here for young fuckers. Hotels for comparable quality, cost half that of Sukhumvit, and the area is much more civilised.

The ones that really damage the scene at Nana area are the papas and mamas with their screeming kids blocking the narrow footpath between the junkstalls. It's like a fucking zoo.

None of that at Khaosan. There are marketstalls but the whole road is closed to traffic at night. It becomes a walking street, so you can stroll anywhere. Lots of foreigner backpacker cunts, many half naked. (Usually with their silly young boy fuckers though.)

There are lots of night clubs and young thai locals also like to frequent these. Many REALLY beautiful little Thai chickens.

Popular spots are: Le Club, Susie pub, Brick Bar, Lava Club, Cave Bar, etc. Some have live music. Usually no cover charge and drink prices not expensive. Open to all ages. Apart from the backpacker crowd usually there is the odd older farang dick too so you won't feel out of place. It is so dark inside anyway that you hardly see a thing.

Of course most of the very tasty looking Thai chickens are there only for fun with their friends but there are also many fuckers available for cash at any hours of the night. In fact it is quite amazing to observe that how totally adorable young thai cunts go with downright filthy backpacker boys. Surely they would do much better with an older refined gentleman like YOU! You have to point this out to them. (At least they would sleep in a proper room and not in a dormitory.)

And while walking the street just IMAGINE feasting on those many arrogant young blonde european tits and inserting three or more fingers in their tight, self lubricating fuckholes and then letting them suck off the gunk can be also a treat. Then you can work it off in the privacy of your own bathroom. (I mean if you have good imagination. If you don't then it can be rather frustrating.)

Some guesthouses and hotels don't let locals in to visit, others do. You have to shop around if you plan to bring visitors.

As for the daytime, just north of Khaosan Road is the Sumen Fort Park (the white fort in the middle), right by the river. It's a daytime pick-up place and usually several Thai females looking to meat foreign dicks (of any age) with cash. (Big university is nearby).

I wouldn't really mind if the Khaosan area would become another good fucking scene what Sukhumvit had been and is not any more. But please don't destroy this. Leave your ugly fat wife and spoilt, feminist-educated, screaming kids home.

And please if you find a good fucker, use it only once and pass them on to us. Especially if they perform well or are specially good looking. Remember, together we win, alone we suck. To win over meat, men need to cooperate!

We will pass ours to you, we promise. (In fact, we should make a mutual database of as much of the meat of Bang-cock as possible. Part-time, full-time, all of them. Finding it and getting there:
From Sukhumvit going to Khaosan, take the skytrain to the Saphan Taksin terminal station ( ferry pier 0) . From there change to the river ferry going North (Nonthaburi). Pra Athit is pier #13. Fare is around 11-13 B. Ferries stop service at 7.30 pm. Then take a taxi, around 100B++ to/from Sukhumvit.

From the Pra Athit ferry pier it's an easy 5 minute walk to Khaosan Road. Aircon bus 511 also starts from Sukhumvit Road and sets down near Khaosan Road (just before crossing the Pin Klao bridge).

Quite right humble turd........you hit it right on the head with the BG scene. Sorry to keep bothing members here with stupid questions however one of my friends in the U.S. who can not come with us on this trip wants us to see if we can find a light Corvette knockoff jacket for him. It seems that one of the guys in his Corvette club purchased a knockoff Corvette Jacket in Bangkok last year and he really likes the looks of the Jacket. He was told by his friend that we should be able to find the Knockoff Jackets just about everywhere. Since we have no idea where to go and do not want to spend our trip to Bangkok hunting the Jacket for him. I am asking all the members if they know where to go to find Knockoff Jackets in Bangkok. Actually this makes for a good night out with visiting freinds or family, IF you get a seat, but i wouldn't say it was in patpong, its very close by though, Patpong to me is Soi Patpong 1 & 2.Ummm isn't that exactly where it is. I went to what I thought was radio city a few weeks back and it was in the SOI with the stalls running down the centre (can never remember if that is 1 or 2) just near the Madrid bar! If that wasn't radio city there where was I.

It wasn't too bad actually, but hardly anyone in there. It was after 12 on a Monday night, part of a bar crawl with me, 3 ladies and some random guy that one of the girls picked up in her travels! Saved me the cost of 'tipping' her!

Easy to get there, use MRT and depart at Sutthisan station, use exit no. 2 (exit no. 3+4 are on the other side of the street as far as I remember), voilà, you are there. You can't miss it.

I beg to differ. I live on Ratachadamri. It's the major road that runs from Silom, past the race track, Past the Erawan Shrine, old World Trade Center Pratunam, etc.

I double checked with my girlfriend to ensure the information is correct. She said Ratachada means "of the King." Thai's will always refer to the entire name out of respect for the King and not just Ratachada, because it by its self has no real meaning.

you might be right, all I can say is, that all my Thai friends only refer to Ratchadaphisek as Ratchada, but Ratchadamri, Ratchadamnoen, Ratchadamnoen Nai, Ratchadamnoen Nok, Ratchadaphisek in Thonburi (yes, extensions of Rama III at both ends have the same name) and others are always referred to with their complete name. All taxi drivers - I just stayed at the Grand Hotel opposite Poseidon - new immidiately which street I was talking about.

Anyway, it's unimportant. Yes you were right, I meant Ratchadaphisek.

I absolutely love Jakarta. Good looking girls and English is widely spoken. However, the scene is different. In BKK it is more concentrated in a few areas, while Jakarta is more spread out in the hotels and a few bar areas such as Blok M. I have been a couple of times to both BKK and Jakarta and, IMHO, the main difference is simple:

In BKK you will find the best looking girls by far, especially if you consider the average looks of the girls around.

In Jakarta (and this is why i prefer it) if you are reasonably good looking and if you stay there for more than 1 or 2 nights you will score for free. I'm certainly not looking like Brad Pitt and i picked up good looking "girlfriends" 2 times out of 3 trips they where very happy with dining out and a few (not expensive) presents. Best places are the disco's in the high end hotels. My favourite is the club 30.

Nana Plaza has a wide choice of gogos but I should admit that the most beautifull girls are in the Rainbows.

Rainbow 1, Rainbow 2 and Rainbow 4..... Rainbow 3 is a little bit below the others and the atmosphere is not as friendly as in Rainbow 4 and 1.

After reading the last 6 or so months of info. And let me tell you. Compared to most of the other International locations listed in this Forum. Shit. That's a lot of reading.

I am however coming up short on finding maps that describe the area with as many of the suggested locations listed. I've pieced some of it together, but am still not feeling all so confident with what I have.

I think this method helped me get the most out of my visits to Prague, Warsaw and Brazil. If anyone is headed to Warsaw. I'd love to fill you in on my fav Myka. Lot's of talk about her on the Warsaw thread. But either I had a special experience. Or people are holding back on the best details.

I did search for the info as well, but have come up mostly empty. My local provider forum will show only the actual search info rather that giving you entire threads with the search words highlighted in red. Ohh well. Not harping just a suggestion to the powers that be.

If you do a google search for "bangkok massage", you'll come up with a Bxxxtonite and bangkokbob sites that will have maps, locations of key monger spots, MP, tel numbers, FAQ, etc. etc.

Jackson prohibits posting other sites so can't give you the specific url.....

Another solution - buy Lonely Planets Bangkok guide that has pull out maps.

Main hunting grounds is along Sukhumvit (Nana, Cowboy Soi, Soi 33)....if you stay on this one street, parallel BTS, you'll either run out of Baht or energy before having to 'wonder' to off the track spots.

One more suggestion - stay at Livingstone (see Giotto Lodge thread).....on Soi 33. Owner/management acts as part-time consultant/'pimp'.....LOL

I know there is a large on in the departure area of Terminal 1, but I am not sure about arrival. And don't get ripped off by taxi driver from the airport. Use the taxi kiosk and get a legitimate fare. If he says the meter doesn't work, tell him that's no problem. When you arrive at your destination, just say thanks for the ride and get inside the hotel quickly. Or if you want to be fair just give him 150 Baht and get inside the hotel quickly.

RTFF above threads, they summarize what you need for first-timer.

If all you want is to Fxxx, stay in the Pink zone or as I suggested Soi 33 (less hectic, more relaxed but higher prices).

I guess my only advice is to know the prices for barfines, ST and LT. They're all posted in the FAQ and R of D threads....

Other newbies on their first trip had a memorable one - just need to prepare properly.

I have been there and the girls were not quite up to my liking. Other times there were some real cuties. Much has been written on many web sites I have visited about the night life in Bangkok. Much of the fun in travel is in the planning and anticipation of the trip. I will be leaving for the LOS on the morning of May 12. I will have three weeks. I plan to split my time in Bangkok and Pattaya.

There are so many bars in both Bangkok and Pattaya that in three weeks I will not be able to hit them all. So I thought I would make a list of what I would like in a Go-go bar.

1) Attractive woman (all over 18 and all born woman)

2) No pressure (meaning that a girl is not on you like “Ugly on an Ape” the minute you set down) I want to do the choosing and invite who I like for a drink.

3) Good ventilation (I am a non-smoker, not a smoking Nazi, however if the bar is too smoky, I will not stay very long)

4) Good lighting (if the bar is too dark or lighting is not good you may think you have a super model in the bar, but once exposed to normal light you have Frankenstein’s daughter)

5) Good Classic Rock and Blues Music (Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Howl’in Wolf). Not played so loud that you can not have a conversation with you new companion.

6) Honest (No bill padding and will return with correct change)

That is my list and I am sticking too it. If members can make recommedations based on this list it would be most helpful

Travelers advice is good for someone experienced with Bangkok, but I would not recommend it for a newbie. First of all you can’t hail a cab from the curb on the arrival level. You have to go upstairs to the departure level for that.

Once you collect your bags and go through customs you will exit through a set of double doors into a large indoor hall. Turn left and about 30 meters you will see a throng of greeters and touts trying to get you to use their overpriced transportation services. Ignore these people. It will be hard because they are in your face. Look for a sign over the exit on your right that says public taxis (or something like that). Go outside and find the taxi kiosk queue (it’s right outside the exit). You will know you are outside because it will be hot and noisy. Tell the girls in the kiosk the name of your hotel. They will fill out a piece of paper and give you one part and the driver another. The driver will then take you to your hotel. The cost for this is an additional 50 Baht which you will pay directly to the driver over what is on the meter. The driver will probably ask you if you want to go by tollway. If so, this will be another 70 or 80 Baht. Like Traveler says, just give him a 100 Baht note and he will give you the change after the last tollbooth. Taxi fare to Sukhumvit should be between 150-200 THB. While standing in the taxi queue you will probably be approached by people offering to take you into town for 500 or a 1,000 Baht. The public taxi kiosk is the best way. No meter doesn’t work excuses, or I know a better hotel with a special rate, or you want massage, etc.

That is correct. AOT prohibits the taxis from picking up passengers anywhere but the Taxi Kiosk. That's where all the taxis are lined up and people are waiting in line. Doesn't take very long as it moves pretty fast. AOT charges 50 baht for each taxi, that's why you have to pay the 50 Baht to the driver.

A lot of times you can go up to the departure level and grab a taxi there, therefore saving 50 Baht. Drivers are happy to do it, but the parking police gets after them and sometimes fines them.

You can also pay 650 for the Limo service into town. But don't take one of those from the crowd by the exit. They charge you a high price (per person) and then jam six or eight people into a small bus. An hour or two later you finally get to your destination.

I agree, for the first time traveler to BKK pay the premium and take either the Thai Limo Service or the one that uses the white cars. I forget the name of that service, but their desk is located across from the exit out of customs in the middle of the terminal. Last time I used their service it was 650 THB, but that was about six months ago.

When you exit immigration, turn left, you'll walk past a group of money changer kiosks (on your left), into the waiting area....right past the metal fence, on the right are 1 or 2 kiosks that says car service (don't remember exact words/titles).....you pay at the kiosk, they give you a receipt, a guy will take your luggage down to the taxi area and usually into a volvo car.

I took one about 10 months ago cuz the q for the taxi was too long and all of my country managers and other jr exec when they first visit LOS - I always instruct them to take Thai Limo their first time in town, before they learn the ropes.

I have never paid more than 700 THB. Usually 650.

Thai Airways Limo service does offer a London type cab for much more, but it is mostly for tourists. The regular Volvo type should be about 700 THB, or at least it was six months ago. The Airport Limousine LTD. uses the white Merceds ot Camrys for 650 THB.

I checked the Thai Airways website and they offer a Premium service using new Mercedes 220 for 1,500 THB. But that is premium service! The regular service uses Volvos and is 700 THB. It isn't advertised and you probably have to ask for it at the counter, or book in advance. I will check later today at the airport and see what Airport Limousine Service charges.

The Merc one is the one I use. I didn't know they had a regular service. For me it doesn't matter, as I said work pays the money back no questions asked, but handy to know they have a regular service.

With the regular service do you have to go to the counter that is outside that first large hall, just near the exit doors or can you still get it at the premium counter?

I always ask because it can be a deal breaker for me if they don't. It's better to ask ahead of time, than be disappointed back in the room. My work travel strategy is to 'cheap' the short-term stuff and stock-up on the long term things that matter. Those of you on european-type expense accounts need not read further.

The main point is the 1500B limo from the airport. That's about 30min after at least 18hrs of flying. Take your savings there. If you take a cab leaving from departures (take the elevator at the end of baggage claim), you have no wait at all and it's ~180 to Suk. And, you will ALWAYS have this cab alone. So, take that saved baht and get a one-star upgrade on your hotel on a short trip. See how easy that is for a very short transport time?

Although I always travel on business, I shop hard for cheap airfairs through consolidators. Since I do much of my work in the rented service-apartment, this really pays off by booking something better on a 5-10 day stay. Overall, it's much better to scrimp on the 'short-term' things rather than your room.

Why concern over the Eden club though. It sounds exciting. Are there concerns about getting ripped off there. Or are the girls just way too aggressive. If you are going to enjoy 2 ladies at the same time they better be aggressive. Just the first time I have heard any concern over the place.

If you are familiar with shanghai, then Bangkok will not be too much to handle. To the best of my knowledge Eden is as legit as you can find (a lot more safe and less of a rip off then most places in shanghai) so i would suggest you will have no trouble enjoying it. The girls are also very aggressive and i would suggest trying the nazi option (you need to pre-order it) having two thai girls dressed up in waffen SS unforms while they place latex products in strategic locations is rather unusual to say the least. (I am not sure if this is still on offer, so you may need to ask).
However i must admit Retired Army's comments have a strong lining of truth and experience. Often you need to work your way upto the more bizarre forms of entertainment in Bangkok, otherwise you simply will not appreciate it.

I am however coming up short on finding maps that describe the area with as many of the suggested locations listed. I've pieced some of it together, but am still not feeling all so confident with what I have.

The hotels will provide you with maps, the best ones are in a magazine called after dark. However for folks new to Bangkok i would suggest using the above-ground railway. If your hotel is close to a railway station the key stations are Nana, Asok and Saladaeng. They will take you to the basic 3 farang entertainment spots.
1. For nana exit out of the West/South Exit and walk past the JW Marriot and take the 1st to your left, 20m down on the left you will find nana.
2. For Asok exit out of the North/East exit (follow the signs to Sukhumvit Station), go down the escalator to ground level and then take the escalator down into Sukhumvit station walk to the other side and take the 2 half escalators up (you will end up facing Asok station when you exit). Turn right and take the first to your right and you will find soi cowbow.
3. For Saladaeng take the North/West exit, keep facing the same way and after 30m you can turn right into patpong.
For other locations you will need to do some extra investigation.

You might be right, all I can say is, that all my Thai friends only refer to Ratchadaphisek as Ratchada, but Ratchadamri, Ratchadamnoen, Ratchadamnoen Nai, Ratchadamnoen Nok, Ratchadaphisek in Thonburi (yes, extensions of Rama III at both ends have the same name) and others are always referred to with their complete name. All taxi drivers - I just stayed at the Grand Hotel opposite Poseidon - new immidiately which street I was talking about.

Anyway, it's unimportant. Yes you were right, I meant Ratchadaphisek. I'm with Coma Boy and the Traveler on this one. Retired Army maybe just getting a bit too technical.

I speak Thai and know that Ratcha- prefix (without the da) means "of the King" or "Royal" Ratchada is a generally accepted loose abbreviation for the district ajoining this road (Ratchadaphisek) around the mentioned district HuayKhwang/Suttisarn and possibly up to LatPhrao road (not precisely sure of bounds) although abbrev not appearing on all maps.

Thai roads seem to have multiple names in some places and change name from district to district, e. G. Soi Asoke is also known as Asoke Road and as Ratchadaphisek Road.

Ratchadaphisek Road almost completes a full loop around Bangkok but has name changes in certain districts. E. G. "Soi Asoke" between Sukhumwit and Phetchburi Tat Mai, also Rama III, Maha Sawan, also joins to Wong Sawang and CHaroen Sanit Wong roads as part of the loop, and crosses Rama VII and Rama III bridges in the loop.

-YOfcourse the parking 'police' staff will help you get in a taxi on departure level because the taxi driver pays them 20 THB when they pick up pax!

Songkran does not seem to be the best period to hunt in the bars and gogos in Thailand. You have to wait one or two weeks when they will be back... short of cash.You won't have to wait that long. Most go-go staff have to pay their own bar-fines for each day they're back in the village and not working.

Let's have some opinions from our members about the best day time pick up bars in Bangkok. I am not talking about eden, massage parlours, lolittas etc but regular bars such as beergarden Sukhumvit Soi 7 (the obvious example).

All who frequent these pages are probably well aware of the real advantage of flying First Class Thai Airlines into BKK, but just in case there are some unitiated out there I decided to post my experiences just to enlighten:

I decided to pamper myself and fly First Class on Thai from Hong Kong (home) to BKK. All the usual frills were much in evidence at Chek Lap Kok (Shuttle from Immigration to gate, first class lounge, etc). When on board the service and food was excellent as would be expected. However, when I got to BKK the real advantage was realised. Firstly Thai Airlines have an express immigration gate solely for 1st class passengers – so I cleared immigration in less than 5 minutes ! Secondly, they then whisk you in a Merc Limo to the hotel of your choice free of charge ! So, less than 30 mins after hitting the tarmac at BKK I was showered, changed and enjoying my first Singha in VIP GoGo Bar NEP. Now I am not a first time visitor to Bangers (if only!), I have been many times, but after a 12 hr day at the office, 2 hours at HKG airport, and then a 2.5 hr flight all I want to do is get a beer in one hand and a bird in the other - I just cannot face waiting in queues for immigration & cabs - whipping upstairs for a departures cab is fine, but the immigration queue still has to be navigated.
The cost, well it was US$600 return from Honkers, but it really was worth the money to avoid immigration queues and the taxi queue – I’m converted ! My days of turning right when boarding the plane are well and truly over !

Just came back to BKK from Brasil and immediately got another very lousy experience. It seems like my bad karma in Thailand is continuing. Before I left for Brasil had 3 consecutive very bad happening in a row already.

Duni, I know I always push China airlines, but FIRST CLASS BKK LAX BKK is 3,000US$. You get flat bed seats, and only 12 pax in the cabin. Try it once, you'll be hooked. They will also meet you at the plane on arrival and get you through immigration in 5 minutes.

BKK is a stopover for me on my way to India, not a destination. With China Airlines that is not an option as the flight to India is direct from TPE to DEL. I would have to pay lot more if I change that routing. Thai is the only one. Also this way I get to stop in Thailand twice. Inbound and outbound.

Thai has introduced premium economy between LAX-BKK with a surcharge of $400.00. Although not biz class, it is better than eco, with wider seats and more recline.

I totally agree with all comments regarding Air India below, tried them once and will never ever go again. Food awful , service despicable, room in econ shocking (battery chickens are better accomodated), plane felt & sounded like it was about to fall apart at any moment.

The Thai desk at Immigration is a booth on the far right, it is beyond the Diplomatic passports just next to the 'Visa on Arrivals' desk.

I've been spending my time doing the usual mad things that one does whilst in Sukhumvit. A few little pointers - Soi Cowboy shows are back to their very best, Long Gun & Suzie Wong have shows to rival Angelwitch in imagination and to rival the Pong in female dexterity ! Further, Cowboy on Saturday night 10pm-12am was so packed that many go-go's were standing room only. If life is hard for bar owners in NEP they need to go up to Cowboy to see why.

The whole of Suk Soi 3 - Soi 15 now seems to be covered with those little drinks bars after 1am - there are so many girls working the road now it is difficult to see why anyone would bf a go-go girl. i know there are some real lookers in the go-go's, but there is a veritable smorgasbord out there on the street. I have talked to several Thai Ladies about their value for a month of services in Korea with me. It is truly amazing the differences in pricing between ladies. Yeap many variables to consider; young vs old or pretty vs so so all come into play when getting a price.

What are the thoughts of the Bangkok residents on a monthly fee for Korea?

I have done this a few times, but typically only for a week (to the UK). I normaly pay for airfare and (of course accommodation & food and some minimal shopping money) and the thai girl is always very attractive and normally not a professional. But i have to admit i always doubt its value for money. I think its better to go to the LOS and try a number of different girls, rather than have only one (although good looking) girl for an entire week - or even worst - a whole month. My advise is try a short trip with someone you like and see if you think its worth it before you go the whole hog. As for cost, as you indicate, very variable.

Anyway, i personally think korean women are much nicer than thai women - so why!!!

I was in BKK this week and visited the family-favorite Thermae. I was bloody floored when I saw the number of Asians - especially younger Japs - now dominating the customer mix at Thermae. I'd logged on to report on Thermae and saw Asian Rain's post below, so my comments are in addition to his excellent tome.

I haven't been to Thermae for years, but one of my friends 'works' there 3-4 nights/week. She confirms Asian rain's comments - she works it because the clients are mainly Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese etc. They pay well and are undemanding, as she puts it "they are holiday for my pussy". The girls were of the full range from a 2-9 - there were some real good lookers, there was also the whole age range from 18-40+. It was a veritable smorgasbord of wg's. I thought wow, maybe the Bergarten's days are numbered - the AC in Thermae was a real blessing.

On the mutual friend story (my friends friend) - my intuition was right, she'd been plied with too much drink in Soi 5 and an Italian man was being rather ungentlemanly with her. However, some strong coffee & a little TLC soon got her right again.

While there are Russians in Thailand, the range and number tends to be very variable. CM2 and i think the Amassador hotel are the best hunting grounds - sometimes you will find one or two in Spasso's and of course you will find some rather sad ones at the Grace Hotel. I think most of the girls travel through Bangkok to various holiday locations in Thailand - the ones i speak to all seem to only stay in bangkok for a short time. No doubt a valid strategy for a particularly difficult or un-cooperative provider. I have pushed the eject button on a number of girls in my time, but I tend to make the most of a session, especially when the time is very late, I am naked and the video cam is rolling.

I tend to think of provider sessions as relative - even a bad session can be pretty good if you make the most of it. After writing a nice long detailed report and then losing it, here are my golden rules in short form. Everyone will have their own rules, but these are reasonably good and will assist in ensuring a good experience.

I had an average experience with my regular (My fault) so i began thinking of getting a replacement. I normally take a while to find a suitable good looking girl, but during this exploring i found one almost immediatly.

1. If its seems too good to be true, its too good to be true.

The mama-san and some friends i had in this bar indicated the girl had only been working for 2 days, this got me going.

2. If they are inexperienced, they are inexperienced.

I turned up in the bar on my way back from work.

3. Don't turn up in a suit with a brief case. price goes up (Note - if all you want to do is talk, this is a good strategy, but not if you want to go further.)

I then asked for the ST pricing. (I had a call at 11pm and wanted to see hw much cheaper this was)

4. Never take ST, the price different is minimal and the girl spends all her time on being quick. High probabaility of disaster.

5. Agree the service level agreement in detail up front. If ST, does that time include taxi or not, will she shower, or not, etc. If she does not provide this service you have an excuse to get rid of her, otherwise its hard.

6. Never pay more than the market place. Pricing for high-class KTV's is well known, never exceed this pricing (no matter how good looking) and get the girl to justify why you should pay top dollar. If you pay above market pricing, the girl thinks you are a newbie and spends all her time trying to rip you off.

7. If the girl asked for money up front, beware. The only girls who ask for this are a) Ladyboys, b) Girls on the rag, c) Rip-off artists. Which of these 3 are you girl. You can agree to pay part up front and the rest on completition, but never give all the money up front.

8. If the girl breaches a service level agreement - tell her the price will go down or she will not be paid and thrown out. They normally apologies and provide the agreed service. But in this case also beware.

9. If a girl is in-experienced, take control of the situation - don't let her decide how to perform the service - she will provide a pathetic experience otherwise. Experienced girls are different.

10. If ST and if you need a shower, make sure she has one with you. Why pay her for sitting around doing nothing.

11. If a girl gives yu a crap experience - forget her. If you see her again and she want a repeat, explain she was crap and to go away. If she still persists, then see all the rules above and make sure yuo follow them all.

So in summary, internally agree on a set of rules and ALWAYS stick by them, no matter how drunk or randy you are. I broke a few of my rules and had a pathetic experience - which was something which surprised me in thailand. I will nee to be more careful in future.

So i am back with my regular, who is thai and who is hard to control and has a strong mind of her own, but who provided excellent service. So i am loyal once again, in thailand at least (but who know about my next trip).

I was in BKK for 3 days in March, beginning of May and right now.

Before, I came to BKK maybe 15 times over past years, and the ST price was always 1000 from Bars, LT 2000 with some agreeing on 1500, some stunners asking for 2500 but usually agreeing on 2000 as well.

But last times I made the experience that girls would ask for 3000, which is OK, they can ask for whatever they like to but. They would NOT go down any more, but insist that this is the going rate.

Oh, one really annoying thing is also that at BKK airport it seems that there are less and less normal taxis at the taxi stands, in fact last night there was a huge queue of waiting passengers and only every couple of minutes a regular txi arriving. The stands were also blocked by these taxi mafia cars.

Do I have bad luck recently, or is it really changing?

I had the opportunity to visit In Love Cafe while I was staying at Rachada and was pleasantly surprised at some of the girls. Although mostly are Thai-speaking girls, there were a handful of English-speaking girls who were ex university students. Pricing was a bit high though, 2000THB for ST and 4000THB for LT.

The atmosphere is similar to Siam Cafe where you sit and look around for a girl that you like. If you want to talk to her, call and she'll come to your table. The only difference is that all the girls are handled by a Mamasan so maybe that's why prices are higher. Also they don't allow you to ask for the girl's phone no. in advance.

A friend of mine and non WSG reader scoffed at my advice prior to his visit in April. He too experienced lower price entertainment in years past.

In his post trip report he told me that he damned me to hell while being quoted 3000 by every freelancer he met. However, he also told me, and I believe him, that he didn't pay more than 1500 for all night. He is simply experienced in the art of negotiation.

On a side note, he came back with a nasty case of chlamydia, even though he always used a condom. He surmised that he accidentally touched his eye after he had removed the condom one time. That resulted in a bad case of "pink eye" type symptoms. Be careful out there with freelancers. His bad luck is one of the reasons I why I stick with MP girls.

Save yourself time, money and aggravation: go upstairs to Departures and take your pick of taxis dropping off passengers. Just make sure they will use the meter. Some will try and get you for 300-400THB, when I never pay more than 200THB to my apartment in Silom.

-YAlthernatively just go to the taxi counter when you exit Arrival and queue for your turn. You only have to pay 50THB airport surcharge and all the taxis use meter. On average I am charged 170 THB to Rachada and that already includes the taxi surcharge. When I go to the airport from Rachada, the normal rate is 120THB using meter.

Recently I have had to transit BKK and had no choice but to use the hotel at the airport. So just a short note to members.

Hotel quality. 3-4 * old and tired but otherwise clean rooms,

Funny layout in a circle so you may walk almost completely before you find your room (not too good if you have just come off the flight and trundel through the corridors of the airport).

Decent swimming pool downstairs.

The massage service (traditional) is good -sorry forgot how much.

I go to Bangers every month, I was there 2 weeks ago, and the going prices I get in Sukhumvit are 500-1,000 ST and 1,500-2,000 LT. Now, these are prices of girls off the street, may be BF'd girls are more expensive. However, I never bargain, if the price quoted is higher than the the above ranges I just walk away and choose the next super cutie. There are millions to choose from on Suk Soi 3 - Soi 23 between 9pm and 4am.

I don't think a girl from a bar is necessarily any better than a girl off the street (quite the opposite actually). I don't do the 'price thing' in the usual vein of worrying about p4p inflation. I only tell you, a fellow brother, because I fear you may be overpaying & hurting your own pocket.

Last weekend I tried again, same situation, hard to find a suitable cutie who would agree on 2000. Bars are full, Erotica in Nana finished renovation downstairs, ground and second level bars have really lots of girls with not too many men around, 3rd level bars are dead. However, I think that the pretty girls concentrate around Rainbow 4, Erotica and Angel Witch. Many Japanese as well, especially in SC and Thermae.

I transit BKK once every 1-2mo with about 4hr transit time. If on the mood, and if arrival flight on schedule, I take a cab to Ratchada or Suk, get serviced, and still make the next flight without problems.

For $110 you get to town and back and get 2 gals in Eden and still have change left. Alternatively, if you only need to use half of that if you go to some of the Ratchada massage places and take one gal only.

So, don't think you are stuck...

The question on the LT rate of 3000b is true (to some extend) for the following in BKK:
1) MP gals will alway ask and charge more than most. Unless you are the last customer of the nite and she have nothing better to do.
2)Gals at the Siam Cafe will normally charge 3000b LT (and more) as they normally cater mostly to the Asian foreign men on vacation--ex. Japanese, Koreans etc--as they normally willing to pay more and dont really negotiate prices (Yes--they are driving up the prices in that area of BKK).
3)Stunners at Go Gos will usually not settle for anything less than 3000b LT--and again, they know some rich Jap can come along and she may get what she ask but sometimes U can get lucky as several nites pasts and she had no offers when rent is due.

I still have two questions, maybe they've already been answered somewhere and I missed it (sorry!) but hopefully someone will take mercy on me and grant me an answer.

There is no problems getting more than one girl to go with you. I am sure you could get 10. This issue is whether or not they will do girl-on-girl. A lot will not, so you need to check it out carefully. Just ask the girls - if they say no ask them who will do it.
Asking the mama-san is a good idea, but sometimes that results in extra costs. At some places the girls give a tip to any of the mama-san's who gives them a good job, so keep an eye out. I also have problems with the mama-san providing stupid instructions to the girls - like "ask for 5000baht, or get the money first and leave asap, etc)

I tend to hunt early in the evening and ask for LT. But everyone has their own preference.

The best thing would be to find a girl you like and ask her to propose a friend of hers. If the friend is to your liking, then you have a match. Kens.I have made it a point to query SW's in LOS over the years as to why work the streets instead of a Bar. Some of the replies given were:

1. They made more money working on the street. 2 or 3 ST’s made more money than 1 LT.
2. Streets offered a smoke free / less noisy environment.
3. A less “Bitchy” environment.
4. Worked only the hours / days that suited them (not looked into 6-2am, 7 Days / week).
5. As per Ken14 point B above but had a couple of hours to kill between her daytime job & time she had to be back home.
6. Not wanting the embarrassment of signing up at a bar, i.e. the street was more discrete.

Sorry this occured and could not agree more. A long time ago I was told i had to carry my passport with me in thailand by some police guy - but i never do this (In thailand i have never had any issues - in china i have, but not here).
I can handle losing money, but the hassle of losing your passport is a pain. However i am a bit worried now about the button security method, i normally used buttoned pockets to protect my valuables, looks like this is no longer sufficient.

Yes, I wanted all to learn but also to see that Bangkok is still a great place. My misadventure made the following evening encounter sweeter! After North Thailand I was going to Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. When you say "quality time" do you mean "get to know someone" or "maximize the fucking factor?" There is a big difference expecially if you are renting a girl for sex. 5000 baht per 24 hours is way too much. Think of girls who are a 8/10 or 9/10 and then halve that sum to 2500 baht. This is what you will get in Pattaya if you are willing to shop around. Believe me shopping around in Pattaya is great fun! Sure I have never used Escort Agencies in Pattaya but then I cant think why anyone would want to. There is pussy literally everywhere and for many girls if you offer 2500 baht long time (meaning all night and all day) they will think they have struck gold!

"A Little Knowledge Is A Dangerous Thing"

Reading these boards is pretty cool. You learn alot before you get to a place and if you're smart, you can apply what you've already garnered in knowledge. I want to share my own episode of travel to BKK. So here's my first post.

The heat and sweat trigger the "I have arrived in Bangkok. ". I walked out of Don Muang International and ignored the touts in the hall. I went right to the cab stand and the guy gave me a ticket with my cab number on it. I figured this was given to all visitors in case they had any issues with the cab they had gotten in to. Anyway, since very few of the cab drivers speak any English, I told him Nana Hotel (even though I was going to Majestic Hotel) and said Tollway. Total cost for this route was only 220B which included a 15 baht tip.

My BKK adventure started out pretty routinely. I checked in to the Majestic Hotel and walked down two blocks or so to buy my BTS SkyTrain ticket. The best deal in town is the 300Baht 15 trip ride anywhere in the system ticket good for 30 days. The system is quick and efficient and anyone who knows BKK traffic can attest to the benefits of the BTS. The only problem is that it doesn’t go everywhere yet so you still have to go to the closest jumping off point to catch a cab to a location you may desire to see. OK, back to the story.

Patpong at 5: 00PM is a madhouse. I wanted to see the Pong in the daytime to get my bearings. I’ve been there once before and that was two years ago in the evening. I wanted to see the bars and infamous places in the daytime. It’s easier to see everything when the stalls are not up. As I arrived, garage doors were opening and huge steel crates were being hauled off in every direction. I saw many of the infamous strip bars and nightclubs but all were closed. I couldn’t muster enough courage to walk in to one of the BJ Bars like Kangaroo or Star Of Light.

Of course, I was being attacked by several touts asking me what I was looking for. I managed to fend most of them off but one persistent guy kept catching me looking in the wrong direction. Since I didn’t know the area, he offered me a very local bathhouse with beautiful girls. I asked him how much and he said 1500 baht I told him, too much. He then countered with 1200 baht. I still said too much. Finally he said, 1000 baht. Fair enough, I wanted to see some action since I havn't been back in close to 23 months. He leads me up stairs to a third floor of a pretty sleazy building. I knew I was still safe since this place is right in Patpong.

There were eight gals present and all were wearing the same sky blue satin dress with their little number. This was a small fishbowl without the glass. Two or three appealed to me and I selected one gal. I gave them 1100 baht to cover the drink and session. The gal brings me to the room and there’s only a bed and a small shower. It’ll do. The other gal then tries to collect 200 baht more from me for the room. She could tell I was getting upset. I told her to go to the tout to get the money. She left me alone. By now, the gal I picked then asked her how much I was going to tip her. Rip-off city, here it comes. I told her I only had 320 baht more and it was technically true. I kept my larger bills in a different location. I just emptied my pocket and said, that’s all I’ve got. I paid for a very basic service. She was nice and I got my rocks off, nothing to write home about.

As I said, I had a mission, to do everything I had done before that I liked. On my list was Beer Garden girl, Patpong Girl, Soi Cowboy Girl, Darling Massage, Annie’s Massage, Angel Disco girl and of course a Nana girl. How do I do this in four days? My time was flying by quickly and I had to start checking off my experiences. I felt like a guy ready to go to jail for five years and this was my last four days of freedom. I better enjoy it now cuz I don’t know when I’ll be back.

Patpong was starting to take shape by the time I walked downstairs. All the framing for the booths was up. I just can’t imagine that these guys probably do this every single day of the year just to re-assemble it again and again.

Back to BTS and Majestic. Time for suit fitting and shirt purchases. I stayed at Majestic last time as well as Grand President. I do like the rooms at GP better but the location of Majestic cannot be beat. The gals that work there are very friendly and professional. That night, I had gone back to Patpong to have dinner at Genki Sushi at the base of one of the nearby malls. I overate and overordered and it still came out to around ten bucks US. It was really good quality sushi and Japanese food. I took in the sights PP and just couldn’t decipher good from the bad. I couldn’t go in to any of the bars nor could I believe any of the touts in front with their picture diagrams of what act was being performed in what club. I just didn’t go in. I could tell it didn’t really look that different from any other place in Nana Plaza. Same stages, with the same firepoles. Lots of young hardbodies wearing bikinis. The only difference was no real nudity visible from the street. I couldn’t imagine a dozen young things showing off their bodies to the couple from Iowa who are shopping for knock off Gucci throw pillows at the Night Market.

I head back to Asok station on the BTS and get over to Soi Cowboy. Lots of aggressive Hello Girls that made me wonder if they were available. Many just latch on to you. I guess I’ll call it "latch and catch" as I got caught by another girl the next night. I go in to Long Gun to have my first drink and I do admit, there were lots of good looking gals. The beer was flowing all over the stage and gals at one point. Many offers to sit down with me. I just smiled and shook my head. I know, once I commit, it’s over.

I had stocked my pockets up with LifeSaver CreamSaver candies and Ring Pops (the lollipop on a plastic ring). I gave them out freely to any gal who asked me to buy them a drink but had to refuse. It softened the blow and let them know that I wasn’t a complete cheap schmuck. Entertaining place.

I went to about three different clubs in Nana starting with Carnival, then down to Rainbow #? And on to Voodoo. Since my Thai is non-existent and her English is very limited, she’s using gestures to explain to me about changing clothes, getting things from the back, paying barfine, etc. The only thing I wondered about, is if I gave her the barfine, is it possible for her to disappear and not come back or could I not recognize her from the 35 other cuties in the bar? I am way too suspicious. Five minutes later she was back.

Puu grabs my hand and walks me out of Voodoo. She is trying to say something about "friend". I kept on walking with her and finally figure out that she wants me to take her friend too. I didn’t really want to pay double for my sanuk at this point in time as it was only my first night here. Next thing you know, I’ve got another gal named Nit holding my other hand. This was my second trip to BKK, staying and getting advice from Giotto at Livingstone’s Lodge. I arrived late at night, and unfortunately the Sports Bar was closed. To my surprise, the girls asked for portraits (even after telling them portraiture was not my discipline). day 1

It is certainly possible that Pushy was a Katooey. But, unless their policy has recently changed, Pretty Lady has never hired Katooey, even when it was Pretty Girl (i'ts old name).

Secondly, if Sweetie was off "getting food" and then going home because she was finished work, but the bar was still open, that means that she had been bar-fined already. They aren't obviously going to tell you this because they want to maintain the illusion that you are the focus of her attention. Girls can't leave the bar early unless they have already been barfined.

The reason few girls at NEP go LT anymore is because unlike the old days, they are now into multiple barfines. It speaks to a disturbing trend with the FL scene. Twice within 20 minutes at the Bier Garten on Saturday, I was quoted 2000 ST and 1500 ST. The first girl was young and hot. The second one used to be. I just won't pay it. Bangkok prices are already in a world of their own compared to the rest of Thailand. I pulled a real hottie and sweety from BG 3 days ago for 1000 baht - the going rate for FL st.

In my opinion, the gogo pricing has been the upward trend setter for all of BKK pricing. SOME of the gogo girls are hotter but I doubt they are better. That topic is still about your ability to read them and the luck of the draw.

I'm certainly no expert anymore when it comes to the variety of pricing out there.

But, some of my friends are still partaking on a regular basis and complain bitterly about the increasing prices, and these are expats who can speak Thai and have been here awhile. Everyone seems to point an accusing finger at the Japanese, Koreans and Chinese that I mentioned in my previous post, not only in terms of increasing the prices drastically, but also in terms of the trend in plastic surgery and skin whitening to make the girls look Japanese, and the increasingly bad attitude of the girls towards Farang. Up until relatively recently this has mostly been confined to NEP. That this is now creeping into the FL ranks at places like the Thermae and even the Biergarten is a sign of things to come for those who like to monger here. I was recently in Pattaya and saw hordes of Asians, especially Chinese. They were everywhere and seemed to like to compete on tipping the girls. I saw one Chinese guy give a go-go girl a 500 baht note while she was dancing on stage. That's just sheer stupidity. Who can compete with that? Pattaya is still a cheap monger location, but for how long, if things like this happen there?

Soi Cowboy has remained largely immune up to this point. Although, there are certainly girls there opting for the Japanese look and also trying to get a lot more money than is warranted. Cowboy was always a place where almost every girl would go LT, and most for 1500. That seems to be changing. The last time I took anyone from there LT was about 6 weeks ago. She's 19, quite cute and could get a lot more than the 1500 I gave her to come to my condo. But, I think that price was due to my knowing her. I think if you were a monger, fresh off the plane, she'd want at least 2000 and possibly 2500 LT. Increasingly, girls in the more popular bars like Long Gun, Rawhide, Shark Bar, Doll House etc. prefer ST, from what I've seen and want 1500+++ even for this.

When I was first here, there was much more of a feeling that the girls, even the young, hot ones were looking for a Farang to latch onto, so they could get out of the bar. I personally experienced this time and again. You still encounter it. But, not nearly as much as before. Now, it's just business for a lot of these girls. The Internet, which was not much a concern 10 years ago has certainly contributed a lot to this as well in recent years. The ease with which BGs can now maintain their financial arrangements with multiple love-struck "BFs" overseas has changed the dynamic as well and has made many of them cynical and hard and in many cases rich, at least in the short term). It has been commented on many times here.

Unfortunately, supply and demand doesn't have as much of an effect on the market now because Thailand has become a year-round destination. The popular bars seem to be always crowded, even in low season.

Where it will end up, one can only imagine.

Later in my trip I realized myself that I was paying too much. "Why am I tipping anyway?" I'd thought. I'm not quite sure where that notion creeped into my head that I should. In the case of Sweetie, I don't mind too much since she was fantastic. The others I should have saved my baht. A lesson to be learned I suppose.

I also sort of suspected that Sweetie was off on another barfine. It was kind of late though, and if she had been BF'ed before she didn't show any signs of wear when she was with me. actually did not do any mongering this day. i was hoping to head south (and take advantage of the much cheaper prices in pattaya) but i was having some bank troubles back home and had to stay put. i decided to just round out my holiday in bkk, but wasn't able to hit anywhere up this day.

Given the current situation of P4S in Korea, it seems that the crackdown did effectuate a minor shuffle but the establishments have resurfaced and seems to be a non-issue, especially for the locals.

Recent issues in Busan may spark about foreigners coming to Bangkok but I do not think that the Korean/Japanese visitors will dissipate any time soon.

Of course you got to consider the geography and economics to whoring in Thailand. It's just plain cheaper than whoring in Korea and Japan so of course the prices get diluted.

I've been stoping off here lately for less time , as the quality and quantity is down. I usually stay at the grace, now they herd all girls to downstairs coffee shop, and seems to be lot more regulated , also outside grace there were always a lot of freelancers but not now. police harrasemt has become the norm. china town is still passable, but has more dogs (1-3's) . Lee66: No offense intended here. But imho the Grace Hotel, Grace hotel girl scene, and streetwalkers outside the Grace are about the worst places in town to hang out. The lowest of the low end. The Grace is an Arab friendly area with girls that cater to their tastes. If you are from Europe or the U.S. you might try re-visiting Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy. If not the Biergarden on Soi 7 and the Nana Hotel offer prettier girls than the Grace area.
