I guess everybody comes at this question from a different place and a different time in their lives. For me - I was married for 8 years in my 30's to a wife who made nagging and guilt an art form. I think she may be teaching it at university now. But years of that and living in the suburbs with financial expectations sucking out my life force has made me more than a little leery of committment or responsibility. After awhile, I think most do; at least those who take up permanent residence here.

There are several stages that one passes through here with regards to life and expecially Thai women.

Stage one is the fresh off the plane, go-crazy stage. Admittedly, there are some guys who never get past stage one. I know a few who, after 10-15 years here are still going down to the bars every week on some mission. Most people I know view these guys as pathetic losers.

By the end of stage one, you enter stage two, do the usual and get yourself a GF from a bar. My first Thai GF came from Soi Cowboy, was from Udon Thani and had a gambling problem. Basically, it depends on the airport and a custom official. I brought back about 100 generic sildenifil citrate from India via Thiland last year and had no problems in US customs (single male). This year I brought back about 30 from Thailand - again no problems. In fact, the last time the US customs opended my bags was in 1983. I usually remove them from boxes and bring either just the foil-wrapped pills or take out the pills and put them in a US prescription bottle that says "Lipitor"! I believe you are allowed to bring reasonable quantities of drugs into the US if you have a prescription. Not sure how this will be checked. You might want to check the customs web site.

What's all the crap about gettng searched when returning to US? The times I got searched I had a long list of various crap (once from Russia, the second from Thailand) which was over the $$$ limit. For me, U.S. Customs are a pain in the ass. I get searched every time I return to America these days. The drill goes something like this:

Q: You've been gone six (last time was nine) months?
A: Yep

Q: Do you have a job there?
A: Nope

Q: What do you do over there?

At this point the guy (or girl) draws a big red slash on my Entrance Form and stamps my Passport.

Then I go and wait for my luggage. Upon trying to pass out of the baggage check the attendent looks at the red mark on my form and directs me to the evil baggage search area. I already know this is going to happen so I'm halfway turned around by the time the attendent returns my form.

The last time I ventured back to America in May it went like this with the evil baggage search attendent:

i would much rather go through sfo than lax. seems as if the l.a. customs agents have an "attitude." but then again, lax is a much larger and busier airport that sfo.

it depands, counterfit dvd are illegal to bring into the u.s.; but, i doubt they would throw you in jail unless you have suitcases full. however, they will confirep001e them if they are found. i always take them out of the sleeves and write family vacation or some bs like that on the disks.

-YIn the past 17 months I was searched 3 out of 5 times, twice at SFO, once in Amsterdam. Instead of focusing on real threats they're wasting our tax dollars. I don't fit into any category that's typically profiled. Last time, customs official at SFO was surprised to see less than a 2 month period between trips and told me so. He seemed to relax a bit after finding some commercial samples of Thai folk-art. I still believe they're paranoid about drugs when it comes to SE Asia.

You can get them in any pharmacy on Suk. I suggest price comparison, however. The names to ask for are Penegra, Caverta and Kamagra (among others) if you are looking for generic V. Last June I bought 4x100 mg Penegra in one shop for 400 B and another shop was selling the same for 800 B!

The last year or two I have been getting genuine Cialis in Saigon and generic (brand name Apcalis - from India) from the pharmacies on Sukhumvit in Bangkok.
I use 1/3 of a pill at a time.
It seems to me that the last lot of Apcalis (August) was not as effective.

KB (Kaek & Bow) VDO has always been reliable for me but you need to buy the true DVD 9 (dual layer) with 9 on the silver sticker (not the fake DVD 9s)to be sure of quality, which is slightly more expensive (200 Baht). If I ask about DVD5, they will tell me if its not good quality since they have to keep some very recent stuff filmed off the screen to compete with other shops with just released movie titles.

Thai girls are in general not that reliable for staying long time. It usually depends on who they live with and have they got valid excuses for not going home, and family committments for next day are a factor also.

Definitely there is a modern trend towards ST. But if the price is right, plenty of girls still interested in LT.

You need to build a collection of phone numbers of regular reliable girls, who you know won't dissappoint. This takes time and you need a special Thai SIM card to use to call these girls. Not your regular number.

Next thing, you don't want to agree to an all night price and then have the girl run off. She might be no good, and you might not want all night after all.

Try to get the girl not too late, so that if she runs off, you still have a chance to get another one.

Make sure that you negotiate a short time price first. Then you can negotiate a special price for all night. If the price is good this helps encourage the girl. Of course its important that she likes you as well.

When agreeing to a long time, make sure that agree on the minimum finish time as well as minimum number of pops (sex bouts). Some girls will still try to wriggle out of these deals.

Many times I have gone with a girl with no money agreement at all.
They then hope the tip will be as good as their service.

When first talking to a girl, try to ask casual things, but evetually get to casually ask things like: Does she live with mum and dad? or the dreaded Thai boyfriend? (she probably won't be truthful if this is the case). Does she have a young baby, etc.

It is difficult to give you a specific place for Long Time. I have got very good long timers in most of the places but it is up to the girls. If the girls feels good with you she will be happy generaly to stay for a night. Gogo girls are asking between 2000 to 4000 bahts for long time.

With my 1 time 7 days only visit, I am probably not good for statistics, but I did't have a bad experience for LT. Some of my longtimers have even stayed to late afternoon and more or less went from me directly to work. The one who needed to leave earlier told me before I barfined her for LT, that she had to leave around 8:00h and after our session which she obviously liked, she asked me to announce my 'arrival' 1 day earlier, so that she could arrange accordingly for longer stay. (many have duties in the morning, such as child care etc.).

Your milage will vary, but your attitute and the developped harmony between the girl and you plays an important role as Poupard2000 said.

Regarding gogo girls I recommend not to Barfine for LT to early in the day (and this is probably true for all places). If you pick up from later then 22:00h, better 23:00h the girls chance of another session is much lower and statistically should improve the LT success rate. But during your talks for selection, why not to ask her how long she can stay e.g. 'as you would prefer the long time ending with a (late) breakfast together'.

Try Thermae Coffee Shop/Bar on Sukhumvit Road near Asoke. Go there about 11 pm, the place should be packed with freelance ladies. Many of them have normal daytime jobs, just try to make some extra money in the evening (the semi-pros). There are also some ex-bar girls who are no longer able to work in bars for various reasons, mostly connected with some sort of STD/HIV. So take your time and have a drink, give yourself a chance to take in the scene. Talk to the girls, if you interested in a girl, buy her a drink and talk about the price. Generally speaking, the semi-pros are nicer, shy and friendlier, eager to please. Use your own judgement, keep away from the harden (often older) ex-bar girls. The going rate is about 1500 to 2000 Baht all night. Most of them will want to leave around 7 or 8 in the morning to go to their daytime job. Outside Thermae and in front of Robinson department store/Grand Pacific Hotel there are some girls sitting near the row of phone boxes, walk past them slowly and turn round walk back again, some of them will approach you, or looking at you and smile. Getting out of Don Muang and to my hotel (Suk Soi 20) was a breeze for some odd reason; the total time from the gate to my hotel was forty minutes. Low season? Rainy season? Whatever the reason, I was happy (although the flight was 2.5 hours late out of Hong Kong).

At about 830pm I wandered over to Cowboy where I was to meet some friends. I stumbled across some other friends from California and Maryland who were in for the same conference, meaning that my business community is way too small or Bangkok needs more entertainment areas! We started off at Bacara (I like the PR hostesses outside--barfined one of them about six months ago and she was great, FS with BBBJCIM) and ended up at Dollhouse where I barfined a late 20-something for B2,500 long time. Well, after the preliminaries, the deed and some sleep, she starts complaining at about 3am, so I chuck her out with B2,000.

On Thursday night, I wandered around Cowboy again and popped into Suzy Wong's. For those of you that are planning to visit LOS in the near future, you should have a look. After dinner, I want to go to Jim Thompson to buy some Thai silk shirts and ties since I need to go back to Bangkok to negotiate some things and wearing suits in Bangkok just really sucks. My old Thai friends had reminded me on this trip that a nice Thai silk shirt with dark slacks was an acceptable equivalent to a coat and tie, depending on the occasion. But, it is 930pm and Jim Thompson closes at 9pm, so we head off to--where else--King's Castle 1 so that Miss Small Tits can show off her new cosmetics to her girlfriends, which she did with in your face flair...kind of neat really. Before entering King's Castle, my buddy and Miss Small Tits go through the main Patpong street market (Silom's stalls are closed because it was Monday) and I plop down on a stool at Muzzik Cafe (facing Patpong) for a beer. While waiting for my buddies, King's Castle 1's No. 2 (from Friday night) walks by with her dinner. She stops for a few seconds to say "hi" and remind me to visit King's Castle! The biggest change over the last five years that I have noticed is that Bangkok is becoming somewhat expensive, say relative to China. It used to be that three days in Bangkok (beer, hotel and air fare) would cost less than one night out in Hong Kong; however, Bangkok is still a fun place and the procedures with the Boys in Brown are a little more straightforward than the Gong An.

Sad to say, we didn't make it to Livingstone's! Sorry, Giotto! Next time!

Visited Bangkok a while back and thought I’d share my experience. I had used this board quite a bit before going but in spite of that, I can’t say that everything went well. In fact, it started off in a bad way but thank goodness, it got better. I should say that I don’t care for bars so I tried to arrange dates as much as possible via email before leaving. If I didn’t have dates, I had a good idea of who I wanted to see after visiting so many websites while I did my research.

I arrived late so I had made arrangements ahead of time to have a girl meet me at my hotel near the airport. I booked a girl by the name of Tara from a local agency by the name of Admiral Bangkok. Hmm, difficult.
Don't know about your daily budget you can spend (why not to tell us).

If you prefer Eden or massage/soapies, then you should stay in a cheap hotel and invest the money in the girls, as you don't bring them to your ceap hotel.

Generally I would give the girls spending (= quality) a priority, as this is why you are coming for. But your accomondation should not be too chep as this lets also drop the girls willing to perform.

So unfortunately somehow the hotel quality goes with the girls quality/ performance at the end, which does not mean that there are no exceptions.

A good compromise is Livingstone's in my opinion. I spent there 3000 Baht for a supperior room with Jacuzzi (don't know if this may be way above your budget, but it is much below a 5-Star) with all taxes.

For girls it replaces somehow a 5-star environment, given the facilities you may use' (but I don't compare Livingstones with 5-Star, not that somebody missunderstand), as the Jacuzzi is a real turn on for many girls, which 'offsets' many 5-star facilities, so to say. The whole Livingstone's environment can't be categorized into stars in my opinion. And with your 1 time LT pick up you don't really need and use the 5-star qualifier like gym, indoor pool, 5-star restaurants etc., as the 'walk of shame' is painfull enough.

Even on business without P4P play where I am usually booked in such 5-star Hotels, I rather 'underutilize' the 5-star facilities offered, due to mostly workload, conferences etc.

The other alternative would be simply to go to Pattaya instead of Bangkok. I have not been there, but hotel as well girls are both lower in cost according to the reports.

Kao San area is cater to backpackers with their girlfriends so wont find any MPs there.
Chinatown --there is one MP called Texas massage, but hard to find as its in a small side street off the main Rd. I had hard time finding it until I went inside a major hotel in C.town and asked--seems they all know this place.

I was transiting through BKK last month. Thanks to ideas from some of the fellow mongers, I was clear on the plan. During the previous shorter transit time, I had made quick note of the location for Visa on Arrival and also exchanged some THB and kept them ready. It was difficult for me to decide where to go. Since based on the various forum reports, the options are plenty. But I had decided, Eden Club would be the place to go. (It was a good decision after all.)

Went to the Taxi counter and said Sukumvit- near Nana Skystation. Was told to pay 350THB including Highway Toll. The traffic was smooth. Around 15. 30, there was a slight jam and the Taxi was not moving. I asked him how far? He told 0. 5 kms. I got down and started walking.

Suddenly I felt hungry. I did not want to screw around with empty stomach. Went into a restaurant had a beer and quick bite and started walking down the Suk Road. I had the address in my hand and it was not difficult to locate Eden Club. 16. 05 hrs I was entering eden.

While entering, I saw 5-6 girls outside the main door. I went staright in. The mamamsan asked me first time? I said yes and she gave me the Menu card. Several of the major airline sites that I've seen have indicated that they will be beginning operations out of the new Airport during the week before Sept 28th. For example, Bangkok Air is beginning Suvarnabhumi operations on Sept 21, and Air Asia is beginning them on Sept. 25th, Nok Air on Sept. 27th.

It's actually really happenning in late September. I am glad, as I'm coming in on Nov. 28th, which gives them a couple of months of actual operations to get the bugs out of the works.

There is a small road that connects Soi 7 with Soi 5 directly next to Biergarten. Half way of it is a new venue, where girls are dancing on the pool tables late night. If you are coming from Biergarten it is on the right hand side of that small soi.

SBOn the soi 5 side above the entrance it says "The Tunnel" or some such. I saw but did not enter the bar, which is indeed somewhat closer to soi 5. Big brown wooden doors, I think, there's only one.

1. I just checked the official website again http://www.airportthai.co.th and they have added the new airport information. Airport name is Suvarnabhhumi. The website for the airport is not the best but it does contain some downloadable pdf files which show the airport layout.

2. I have also seen advertising on cable TV this week, from the Thai Airports Company saying that the new airport will be open for business as of the 28th September.

dynasty grande is a wonderful hotel. this is the same dynasty group that had the hotel across from nana and in pattaya. the hotel across from nana is being rebuilt from the ground up. the dynasty grande is their upscale hotel. it is located between soi 4 and soi 6 next to the sofitel. it has a nice lobby, very nice rooms with free internet, good restaurant and a wonderfully friendly staff. the only downside is that they change an extra 500 baht for if you bring more than 1 girl back to the room.

I would not worry about the ST / LT thing too much. My last few visits, there were only a couple that even brought up the ST vs LT issue. Of course that was at the Rainbow Bars at Nana. Even at the Rainbow bars, not all of the girls are mercenaries. I had a girl at the Rainbow bar, who snuggled up to me. She would not have been my first choice, but once we started talking, I knew I would not regret taking her. Real affectionate. Spent the whole night and never brought up money or length of time. She would rate a 7 in looks, so she was not a big drop off from the 8's and 9's I was checking out.

Picked my LT's in Soi Cowboy and Beergarden and my residence Livingstones.
One Soi Cowboy girl said before we agreed to LT that she had duties and needed to leave about 7:30-8:00h., which I considered fair. After our session, which she might have enjoyed she asked me if I would come back to her, that I should call her before she starts working and she wanted to arrange that she could stay longer. (The reason: Said it's hard to come for her and with me she would see a chance, but would need more time. Sounded rather serious and is not such a bad reason).

Went 3 times to Akane Massage this week - 2 times to the location next to the Interconti hotel and one time to Soi 33.

Just back from my first trip to LOS. Thanks to all the previous posters. I had a great time because of all the information that was shared on this board.

On my first tour down Sukhumvit Road I was taking in all the sights and sounds and decided to drop by Annies for my first taste of the lovely Thai ladies. The is the continuing recollection of my recent, and first, trip to Bangkok.

On my next trip out I ventured into the Nana Entertainment Plaza. Without the photos and descriptions in previous posts the entrance to NEP would be easy to overlook. The action in the bar to the left of the entrance makes it easy to overlook the importance of that plain looking alley.

I wandered about for a bit and took in the sights and sounds of the Plaza. I was quite impressed by all the makeup, hairstyling and primping being done by the ladyboys on the third floor, but I was a bit concerned by how easy they were to mistake for the real thing. I quickly went back downstairs where I supposed I wouldn't have to check too closely for adams apples and manhands.

Why wouldn't you have time for Soi Cowboy? Its only 10 minutes walk from Nana. But the right time for naked girls is 10PM at Suzi Wong. Is that after your bed-time or are you only in Bangkok a few hours? Long Gun is popular but I find the shows inferior and closer to Patpong style. That's true, but the machines have a limit on the NUMBER of notes they can deliver. There is a thickness maximum that will fit thru the output slot - and even with 1000B notes it gets there quickly. As for me, with the B now at 37something/$ and my maximum withdrawl is $500/day, I can "only" get 18000 or so. When the machines get "empty" more or less, they start outputting 500B then 100B notes (thick stack - the note size depends on the ATM and the bank - I've found that Thai Farmer's Bank tends to have the "smaller" notes readily available - even if you don't "want" them)

There are definitely Short Time rooms in NEP on the 3rd floor. I wouldn't call it a hotel. When coming in from the street and take the first staircase to the left to the 3rd sloor, you'll find it. There are definetly a Short Time rooms in NEP on the 3rd floor. I wouldn't call it a hotel. When coming in from the street and take the first staircase to the left to the 3rd sloor, you'll find it. Hmmm, as I said before I may not be enough qualified with my 1 stay 1 week only visit.

However, don't take it wrong, but I would rather like to have this confirmed from some other eyes. You are the first and only one mentioning this 'high density'. Nobody else came up with that so far. From my observation I had the impression that at Nana the LB density is rather higher then Soi Cowboy, but I was not in search and counting.

In the second post it comes down to the question how to spot LB’s. I don’t say I would be able to spot 100% of LB’s, but I doubt that so many would be able to pay for a good operation creating a perfect pussy when it comes to the nude show on stage. I was willing to be proved wrong so I wanted to do my own survey of bars in Soi Cowboy tonight.

I only had 1 night available so I decided just to do a few of the good bars. However first went up and down the Soi to see if any LBs in evidence drumming up business for the bars. No identifiable LBs found.

Now I speak Thai very well, so I decided to interview various Thai girls, including any suspected of being LBs, to see if they could help me find any LBs. Each bar usually had at least 1 or 2 suspicious looking girls. Ended up with extensive conversations with about 6 girls, who all turned out to be not LBs, even the ones I had some suspicions. There was general agreement by most that, not only did their bar have no LBs, but that most other Soi Cowboy bars also did not have them. General agreement was that perhaps a few bars may have one or two LBs. Did not hear of any ar with extensive LBs.

Baccarat had no LBs. Dolls House also none. Suzi Wong also none (except for mamasan who is not counted as she is not available to customers for sex). Couldn’t find any at Long Gun. However was indicated by some grils interviewed that 1 or 2 LBs existed at Deja Vu. So I went there. 3 very tall girls in evidence. My assessment: First one I rated as 0% chance of being LB, 2nd one about 20% chance and 3rd one about 50% chance. So none were completely obvious LBs. I chatted to one with very small tits who confirmed that the bar did have one LB, but was sorry that couldn’t be brought to me despite her great beauty, as was not in tonight. She confirmed that all 3 of them were regularly mistaken for LBs. I decided to bar fine her and do the full pelvic exam under good lighting. No-one could tell where to go in Soi Cowboy to find plentiful LBs.

I think we do some service to ISG members like myself who like real women as they were made by nature for sexual purposes, and therefore how to spot the ladyboys and hence avoid them.

Look for one or more of the following (one point only is often not enough):

1. Very tall
2. Deep voice
3. Broad shoulders
4. Strange hips
5. Big hands
6. Adam’s apple
7. Too much makeup or too white in colour
8. Exaggerated walk or hand movements
9. Big jaw
10. Unfeminine face
11. Silicone breasts
12. Straight body or excessively curved
13. Big show-off or excessive confidenceThere are a few other features that can be used to help judge if she is actually a he.

1. A woman's arms can not be held straight down the side of the body as a man can (i.e. a man's top half his arm can be held in a straight line, 180 degrees, with the bottom half of the arm).

A woman's arms develop with a slight angluar feature to accomodate the fact that the arms have to swing by her hips whilst she walks. And, if you ask a woman to stand with her arms straight down her side, invariably the arms will not be straight (nor can she hold them straight). When I have checked this out with lady friends of mine, the concept has held true, but my research has not been exhaustive.

2. There is a difference in the length of the index finger and ring finger between men and women. The index finger in men tends to be shorter than the ring finger, whilst in women it is the other way around.

I have researched this over the internet and found quite a number of medical reports discussing the fact. However, when I have done some personal studies of this with ladies friends of mine, the distinction is not always that clear.

4. I do recall someone else in the forum writing about the difference in the way that LBs walk compared to women, due to the difference in the pelvic structure. I have found that there is one critical key to telling the difference between a LadyBoy (Katoey) and a real girl that has not been discussed. That has to do with the observer's blood alchohol level. I have seen and experienced that the more drunk you are the less likely you will be to "figure it out."

IMHOFor me I can't see that I will be likely to ask if she is a LB. Its a little bit insulting to a real girl. This is kind of a long report so I’ll break it up into two parts…

If you enjoy watching 20 some odd girls dance together on a stage in matching bikinis and knee high boots, you owe it to yourself to head out to Patpong. Beergarden is full of different customers all day long. During lunchtime there might be the farang office workers either just to have lunch and breaktime or looking for a lunch break fuck (especially those expats with families at home and beeing 'grounded' in the evening). Tourist mongers are there all days long.

Women as well. Maybe 65-70% is the female rate. Females of all classes, but not so many of the high class (as well as the majority customers are not necessarily the high class hig pay for lookers).

Regarding the Thai gilrs with boyfriends in the meaning of 'continuous money flow', this Thai typical arrangement is not limited to beergarden.

I would recommend the Pegagus at about 8 p.m. It's a private club and you will have to buy a temporary membership (not that expensive for what you are looking for). There are three classes of girls: the regulars (better than Bier Garten girls), the intermediate (not bad) and the models. It's been a few years since I was a member and at the time the member prices were 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 for a short time. And you can take the girls from the club. I don't think it costs any extra to do so. I never took one because I always used the rooms they maintained upstairs in the club.

The bars I’ve frequented are the King’s bars because I’ve never heard any music or seen any attractive girls at any of the other bars. At the intersection of Th Silom and Patpong, walk along the right hand side of Patpong and you will eventually pass King’s Castle, King’s Castle 2 and King’s Corner. A typical night at Patpong for me involves having a drink at Castle and/or Castle 2 and if I see someone I like or if I’m enjoying the music, then I’ll hang around for another drink or two. But my nights always end at King’s Corner because that’s where the pretty girls are and they sure damn know how to dance.

i’ve seen some sloppily dressed guys here so don’t think they have a strict dress code but pegasus is an upmarket place so it’s only polite not to ruin the ambience and to at least wear a polo-t and leave the t-shirts and bermudas at home.

the ladies are attractive but not quite at the level of the models at poseidon or tarawadee. most of the ladies at pegasus are available for take-out with the rest just for interaction within the club although for the right price, i’m sure they can be persuaded otherwise. while take-out can be either short or long time, i have always opted for long time. long time includes two fs and technically ends at 6-7am the next morning but you can speak to the mamasan/ papasan about having the lady leave later, no guarantees though.

needless to say, the probability of liberal services increases with the newer ladies. most seem to be comfortable with dfk, bbbj is really ymmv; i’m a firm believer that ladies generally perform better in bed for guys who show some class. don’t let the ladies push you around but do try to be nice to them.

memberships can be purchased for 30,000 baht/yr and comes with a certain number of bottles and barfine credits (u can choose your combo of bottles vs. credits) in addition to discounts on private rooms, ladies drinks. the memberships can be cost-effective if you buy it together with a group of friends or like hanging out at pegasus for drinks since the ambience is excellent. for example, many of the hong kongers, japanese and taiwanese come in groups and patronize pegasus just like they would a ktv, spending hours in their private rooms and drinking like fishes.

i used to be a member but find it more cost-effective now to just pay the regular rates since i don’t really drink or use the private rooms. this is not the place to start ordering loads of drinks without a membership.

regular contact: papasan jorge (pronounced as georgie) is one of the senior papasans at pegasus. he’s sort of effeminate; so long as that doesn’t bother you, he’s a great guy to have on your side. don’t think jorge is comfortable negotiating for more liberal services with the ladies; he’s more into hinting which ladies are the better ones these days.

having arrived back from bangkok last week i thought i'd say thanks to the people who advised me prior to going. - yes, i was there during and following the military putsch, and it was actually quite a hoot: nothing nasty happened, but following the event bkk largely emptied of tourists, so one could walk around in the sukhumvit neighbourhood enjoying a 5:1 (at least!) girl-to-monger ratio.

posters on this board were absolutely right in warning me about my attitude to lt relationships. i'm more used to east european girls who, for the right price, will turn into sex acrobats in your hotel room or appartment for as long as you like, but who will be rather embarassed if you suggest that they should hang with you in the city's cafes and restaurants. i now know that thai girls are rather the opposite: what they look for is a sort of short-term sugar daddy. which is fine and which is what i did this time in bkk, but...

...it does give me a small problem as i don't like socialising with people who speak an even poorer english than i (it's my third foreign language) and with whom i cannot discuss topics that interest me. i offered dinner and drinks to several adult (well...?) women whose contribution to the conversation was "thaksin bad. he no like king!" and other similar pearls of intelligent conversation. a bit boring, in my view, but if that's the rules of the game that's how one has to play.

on the issue of the "action", i was pleasantly surprised by the sub-culture that seems to be developing around eden on soi 7/1 and [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) on soi 8. both of them offer good value in the afternoon, which is good news for jetlagged travellers. some of the massage places on 7/1 seem to offer only massage, but in others (including aviva on 8) i got both an excellent, professional massage and a fs additional service at the end for a quite reasonable price.

regarding gogos i'd say soi cowboy continues to exceed nana plaza. - nana looks so run down these days and, as we all know, the nifty shows and undressed dancing is limited to (certain) bars in cowboy. i spent a very agreeable night with a dancer from deja vu (2,500 lt) whom i met on my way to the restrooms and who instantly stripped down to win my custom.

i was negatively surprised by the famed bj bar on patpong 2 (whazzzename?) which has been renovated in highschool cantine style with vinyl counters, no intimacy and action confined to a couple of small cubicles. i was also negatively surprised by annie's mp (though one never expects too much from this place). a first visit brought me a goodlooking isaan girl who was "willing" but knew nothing about massage. a second visit brought me a sub-mamasan who would not let me pick the girl i fancied: "no-no, this one very good! you pick her!" a third visit never took place.

i also dropped in on the "russian scene" which these days appears to focus on late night dancing in hotel grace (non-arabs are not the target group of the girls, i should stress) and earlier in the evening in rajah hotel's coffee shop. the girls in the latter place are short-timers. good looking but afraid of being seen outside the hotel. i take it they cater to japanese tourists and the prices reflect this: 3,000 st!

i should end on a positive note and say that some of my best experiences were with not-so young girls from the smaller bars on soi 4. that's where i found "my match" in english speaking and in witticisms "oh you haven't played go? does that mean, not today?" and where i eventually found a petite, sweet tempered and hardf***ing women in her early 30s to keep me company during my sightseeing and in my hotel room. i didn't plan it, but... she almost made me forget that i don't like sugar-daddy relationships. ;-)

better to expect highly professional pros in there - many of the girls there are in the international traveling scene. You find them in Singapore, Hongkong, Phuket and CM2 / Spasso. This girls really know how to play the game. Semi pros would be a kind if understatement, in my POV.

The Thai guy I work with in Bangkok took me to that restaurant a year or two ago. I can't remember exactly where it was, but it was down that way somewhere. Because it was a "business dinner" and at the time I had my Thai GF waiting for me back in the hotel, I passed on take out afterwards. Actually the whole dinner was a bit sedate.

But there was plenty of opportunity. When you went into the place there was a fishbowl and you picked your girl. She sat at the table in a private room with you and fed you. The girls were quite willing to strip down during the dinner. I kind of kick myslelf because we all held back so much. I would love to go back and try it again.

Might be something I would consider during my next trip in a couple of weeks for some slow night.

Girls don't respect "stingy bastards" any more than the guys they have conned into sending money on some bullshit story about the mother in hospital (which may occasionally be true). Usually girls who make up bull can be found out quickly enough by just a little intellegent checking unless they are extremely brilliant liars.

OK years ago you get a girl for the whole night for 300 Baht or less but times have changed. For really cheap prices or all free, you might want to try Africa.

The level of honesty in Thai girls varies tremendously, as with any country, with bar girls being the least believable category I guess. I have no intention to split with my girl, ever. If I don't support her, she has no choice but to get money from somewhere, however hard that may be.

I once had a girlfriend in a Soapie. I did not require her to stop working so never believed she was mine or I was hers exclusively, but she was almost always available out of work hours. I never got much bullshit from her and I never asked her questions that could awkward to answer truthfully. In 3 years I only ever once sent money in a special circumstance, but paid her appropriate amounts to compensate whenever I didn't want her to work. All was fair and understood. I knew she was money oriented after hardships rasing her daughter and mother after her husband died. She did wonder how come I didn't buy her a house and send ther a monthly salary, but I wasn't sure enough to do that. In the end we split up anyway, so no harm done other than I wasted 3 years being interested in a girl not quite suitable.

I try to respect as many girls in as possible in Thailand, no matter what their station. They aren't purely flesh for fucking.
