First off, thanks for the tips regarding Rio, perhaps I should get out more, there is quite a lot to do in this region. The wifing-up to Buzios trip sounds like a great idea. If I find a girl with good chemistry I might try that.
I can certainly see myself visiting a few more times this month and I'm sure I'll have a great time with some of the hotter girls. Sometimes I enter old catholic churches in Brazil, to enjoy the architecture and also to cool me down on hot days. Plenty of hot girls visit churches during daytime. I also want to note for those who have the extra time and want to check out cinemas, gyms or museums in Rio, new rules went into effect on Sept. 1 that require vaccination documents to enter these places. I went to check out a movie yesterday at Botafogo Mall and I couldn't get in to the cinema unfortunately. These rules are for the state of Rio so Sao Paulo should still be fine. In terms of the hobby, it seems that the prives and termas should be operating normally but this is a sign that things could get worse in the future.

My mixed feelings:
- it's pretty awesome to be able to visit such an establishment with such services at such prices so I don't really like to complain. I should however, mention to other newbs that they keep expectations intact. I've learned so far that Brazil has such a high reputation due to the service level of the girls here. I would argue it's not necessarily the looks. Perhaps the top 10% of Brazilians are hotter than the top 10% of Eastern Europeans but in general, Eastern European women are far hotter. You really don't have to worry about overweight girls there. So, I guess I was a little disappointed with the looks. Sure, most of the women were technically do-able, but how many would I want to spend money on? For me, the vast majority would be no. Sadly, I haven't experienced a terma. I have been to Rio & Sao Paulo, but was with company that didn't allow for the hobby. It's a bit of a hike for me, as is Eastern Europe.

I would be interested in a comparison by those with experience in Germany.
I guess we would need to know your meanings of devout and very. I know a bunch of people in Brazil and I can count on one hand (seriously having a hard time thinking of any at all) the amount that goes to some type of worship house on a regular basis. I can get all my bills in pdf format from my bank app. If you have any, just print it out. I sent one to the Brazilian consulate by email when I applied for mine last month. Yesterday (Monday) I got out to Whiskeria 65 around 5:30 pm as I'm staying in the center and it was really convenient and easy to get to. I'd heard bad things about Mondays at the Termas and given that yesterday was a Monday between the weekend and today's major holiday, I really didn't know what to expect.

Given how much she talked and our communication issues every 5 minutes, I really wish I had grabbed my phone. That is probably my biggest lesson of the evening. For those of us without Porto, really, Google translate can make a very big difference and it is worthwhile sticking your phone in your robe pocket.
After the session, ideally, I would've just gone home, but given that I had only had one beer and hadn't seen much of the action I decided to go back to the boate to see if much had changed given that is was now closer to 7. Just a quick note on price. They do the whole cash vs. Credit card thing so you save a bit of money using cash. 1 HR. In the room costs 335 in cash or 355 on credit card. The entrance fee was 70 and I'm not sure if it's entirely consumable or partially, as I didn't really check the bill. I only had two beers and wasn't charged extra so I can deduce that at the very minimum, 2 beers are included as consumable.
The action up stairs was decent. I'd say there were about 10 guys and maybe 15 girls. Only two or three of us guys had robes and the others were in street clothes so I'm not sure if that is a changing trend. The girls were very friendly, approached me and accepted my "I'm too tired" excuse without making things awkward. About 5 of the girls were brancas which is what I liked, so it was a good ratio.
Comparing 4 x 4 to Whiskeria 65 is interesting. Obviously 4 x4 is the fan favorite and my sample group of only going to each one time isn't very deep but I probably enjoyed my Monday at 65 more than my Thursday at 4 x4. Interestingly enough I paid the exact same price at each place - 405 BRL. At 4 x 4 that gave me 3 beers and one 30 min. Session, whereas at 65 that gave me two beers and an hour session (and probably I could've grabbed another beer that would've been included in consumable). The room was much nicer at Whiskeria 65 I would say as well. It looked like a very modern renovation. The English was way better at 4 x 4 - nobody spoke English at 65 and the action and excitement was better at 4 x4 as well. Then again, we are comparing a Monday and a Thursday. For my solo travelling self, I enjoyed the calmer 65 a bit more but could imagine having a crazy fun time with some buddies at 4 x4.
Moral of the story for me so far, these tier 1 termas are quite comparable. I understand that some guys will have a limited time here but it's not really worth overanalyzing too much about which one to go to. Just get out there and have a fun time. These two places are so close to each other and both with a very affordable entry fee, if you're not satisfied with one, it's worth it to go check out the other.
Anyway, I've still got more time in Rio, so I'll probably check out Solorium before just sticking to 4 x 4 and 65 because both these places seem sufficient and I'd rather get familiar with one or two than to run around the city too much.

I've only just had time to write, I arrived to Spain from Rio de Janeiro and Natal last week, about 10 days in total of the trip.
First, the truth is that I had certain misgivings about Brazil. From Spain, as with everything else, there is a totally distorted view of the country, and the arguments are based on crime statistics that are totally out of context.
Above all, I would highlight its atmosphere and rhythm 24 hours a day. Brazilian music is magical, it grabs you from day one and moves every corner of the country.
Also, of course, its people, who will welcome you and treat you like a real king. As a good "gringo" you acquire a status you have never felt before.
The women are on another level. And when I say on a different level, I'm not exaggerating and I'm talking about their physique and their way of being. In Brazil, luckily, boys are still boys and girls are still girls. There is courtship, seduction, flirting. Everything that Western societies have crushed in the last 50 years.
And finally, the landscapes, beaches, cities, climate, food, prices, infrastructures, etc. Little new to tell here.
Brazil will always be in our hearts, we will be back soon.
I stayed two nights at the Transamerica but it was a real fiasco, I noticed on the first day that not a single woman was to be seen in the Hotel, I started to write to many girls on barravips and they confirmed that they are no longer at the Transamerica, that they are no longer allowed to be there. There wasn't a single one, but it was good for me to get to know the Barra the Tijuca neighbourhood and I finally went to Ipanema Hotel.

I will change my conclusions when I see 8+ and I will report here. Unfortunately we are discussing a very subjective matter as you have indicated.

I arrived on Friday and the 4 x 4 was JamPacked with about 40-50 girls, while Monday was dead with about 10 girls, So it really depends on which days you go. I recommend going Late in the week around Wednesday-Friday. Early in the week is usually dead. The US Dollar is right now very good against the Brazil Real, so your money will go long compared to 5-10 years ago. Flights are also cheap now, So Brazil is a steal right now. I will keep you guys posted on more updates.

Tuesday was Independence Day and that night on the way to Mabs, I went to scoop PM up at his hotel. When we got to Mabs I saw an old buddy sitting at a table with 3 more guys so we took a seat with them. I told PM that I would take him to VM and we could return to Mabs later. It must have been 11:30pm. Found out it was one of the other guys' first time in Rio so I told him he should come along with us. He was already toasted off beer and kept asking the same questions 1 million times througout the entire evolution.
Uber was on the way for 20 reais but canceled. There were no other Ubers in the area so we ended up taking a taxi. 35 reais. I usually ride the bus, but when I am in a car with new guys, I still request the car drop us off the same place as the bus. I want the new guys to get the total experience of the walk up to VM. So he let us off right at the bridge. I will let PM report the rest of our crazy VM experience from his perspective since it was his first time. Then I will follow up after him if need be.
We went up to Club Mosaico and went in. The other guy already had a beer with him and they let him in with it. No matter to them because the 30 real entrance fee goes toward consumption. That is 1 or 2 drinks they can save to sell to someone else. I had a grape juice which was 14 and PM had a beer which was 16.
There were some fine ass chicks in there. They are definitely better than what I saw at 4x4 last time I was there. I guess the chicks set their own prices because when I talked to the manager he said the girls are from 150 reais. The other guy was sitting talking to a chick and he said she told him 300. I do not know. Maybe that was for 1 hour, because an older chick from Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul told me 150 for 30 minutes.
I asked her how much for her to come see me after work and she said she would have to ask. I said not involving the club. She said she lives at the club so that would be kind of hard. I said yeah you are right about that. I asked her how many of the girls live at the club. She said a lot. I said give me a number. She said about 20. As fine as these chicks were I wanted to move into the club right along with them. We went to the cashier and paid our 30 reais and left out of the club.
I recommend Mosaico as a must see on the monger list. And at the 150 price point and better quality of chicks, I would have to put it above 4x4. I don't know how the rooms are, but the chicks are thumbs up. But remember, I do not think it opens until like 8pm. So you guys that are queasy about Villa Mimosa better suck it up and take a trip there.
Leaving VM we had no problem getting an Uber back to Copacabana. 20 reais. I think it was about 2am. When we pulled up at Mabs it was dead if not already closed. The chick PM was talking to before we left was still out front. He tried to get her for 100 but she insisted she goes for no less than 200. I sent a whatsapp to the chick I had bargained 300 all night (said she usually goes for no less than 600) for before we left to go to VM, but she did not answer. She ended up ringing me at 5:50am, but of course I was dead to the world by then.
I took bus to get to Rio from SP when I visited black in May. This time I flew Gol airlines from CGH to SDU. I suggest you get to CGH well in advance like at least 1:15 minutes in advance if you have to check-in luggage. There was a long and slow moving line for luggage check-in when I got to the airport. You could miss the flight if you arrive late and found such long line.

After claiming your checked luggage exit the glass door and turn left and walk towards the Bossa Nova mall. Make sure you don't exit the terminal building until you reach the mall. If you do, as SK reported, taxi mafia is going to hunt you down. Along the way, you will pass through arrivals. You will see signs direction for mall. Once you exit terminal building you will see a big sign for Uber Lounge.
Stay:
This time iam staying in Airbnb at the intersection of IPA and Copa. Apartment size was a surprise to me. It is a tiny studio but it is good enough for me. The main thing that made me book this until is highspeed WiFi clocking 250 mbps.

Open to me was that I was able to enter TH with a tourist visa and contrary to many, the process was quite simple.
Yes, in November I had to do 14 Day Quarantine. But it hardly any different from my life in the USA. I worked Remotely, didn't use any vacation time and caught up on a lot of personal todo things. The room was big and nice with 3 really good meals a day.
And then once quarantine finished to be back in Thailand without mass tourism was amazing. Koh phi phi with no tourists? Etc. Was really nice to get some of those amazing islands to yourself with extremely low prices. Plus the prices of woman dropped. Hot gogo girls prices were much lower. Beers cheaper. It was just a great time to go prior to current lockdown measures.

Not a true Fairmont, however, since it was originally an Accor Hotel, but after Accor bought out Fairmont corporate re-christened the hotel a Fairmont. Not a big deal, but if you ever stayed at a real Fairmont you would quickly notice the difference. Anyway, it is pretty good and it was girl friendly when I stayed there in April. That's why I am going to stay there again in November.
But if money is no object stay at the Fasano. It is located across from Ipanema which is a better beach IMHO, and not far form Copa, but the main reason for my recommendation is that this small boutique hotel is a true 5 star with very well appointed deluxe rooms facing the beach, a great restaurant, pool, and it was girl friendly when I stayed there. It's only negative is beaucoup bucks.

Then I guess it went downhill like many Rio hotels did. It changed hands a few times, I don't remember all the names but it also was a Sofitel hotel not too long ago. The hotel basically has the same bones as it did in the 70's.

Sadly my Rio Adventure has come to an end but here are my results:
Termas Visited:
Solarium. Visited Twice. Easily my favorite in terms of beautiful brancas. Sessioned both times with the same girl. Some further lessons learned.
1. Obviously, going to a possible risk area like VM during the day is a good move if you are a first time visitor. You must see Mosaico during the day, see the ways in and out by foot, and by taxi.

Two ISG members gave me a few PMs about issues of which we should all be aware.

Can anyone tell me if I still need a covid test to enter Brazil. I thought I did but on United's web site it says it's not needed but also talks about what Covid test are accepted so I'm confused. Anyone else going to be In Rio Oct / Nov? Himbadman nice enough to to meet up and show me the ropes my first day.

Please also check up on local restaurants and the like requiring vaccination cards. I haven't been since August so I am not too sure how it is now.
