Nothing special to add. Got there just after 5, banged a fake blond with a wide ass who appeared a bit crazy in the boite but was a bit distant in the room, though she did work hard at it. I have been to Rio a grand total of 8 times and the latter 6 were greatly aided by your reports and haunts to explore. On all of those subsequent visits, I have never gone to a Prive, Casa, Help, nor Balcony and not found some big booty Mulata or Dark Haired Indo I did not want to violate. l'uomo. r$90 entry, r$310 for a 40 minute session. significant extra charge (r$25?) for credit card users. entry fee waived if you arrive before 5pm. 50% off entry fee if you arrive before 7pm. you must pay in cash and session with a girl in order to qualify for the entry fee waivers.
monte carlo. r$80 entry, r$260 for a 40 minute session. on monday nights you get up to your entry fee (r$80) in free drinks. on tuesday nights your entry fee is applied to the cabine rental for your first 40 minute session with a girl; that is, you get r$80 off your first 40 minute session. both discounts require you to present a coupon, which you can print from their website (

general observations:
my favorite termas by far this trip was 4x4. personal opinions vary, but i thought that they had the best girl selection, and i thought that the place was better run than in previous years. notably, i wasn't hit up for tips by anyone other than the flunky who collects the exit passes. the bare-chested rutting ritual was still popular in the boite. to be sure, some of these guys were buff, but others looked a bit ridiculous. of course, the prices at 4x4 are the most reasonable for the high end termas. monte carlo was about the same for me as in my visit last year. it like it much better now than l'uomo, not because mc has gotten better, but because l'uomo has gone downhill from previous years. the monday and tuesday promos help keep the cost down, but mc is still getting pretty expensive. the selection at mc wasn't great, but there were a few of nice-looking girls there during each of my visits. as recently reported, l'uomo has become very expensive and i agree with those who feel that it has become rather sad. i had gone there often in the past, and it was nice that they remembered me when i returned. in the old days i might visit l'uomo 3 or 4 times during a single trip to rio. after one visit this year, i made it a point to let the lady at the desk know that i would not be back.

1 hannah (monte carlo) is a slender, tallish, so far childless, 20 year old, morena. i fell in love with hannah for 3 or 4 days.

Curitiba doesn't have a brothel on every other corner the way that São Paulo and Rio does, but like any decent sized city in Brazil there are always a few places to go. Last time I was in Curitiba there were a handful of good massage parlors & casas. The BBC recently reported that Brazil has overtaken the UK as the 6th largest economy in the World. And last I heard Brazil is still having issues with rising inflation. I'm hardly an economic expert but I know enough to assume that this trend of rising prices will likely continue. Though hopefully the pace of increase will start to slow down. Enough of that banter.
Last note on Curitiba: I think the last time I was there was around 2006 or so. Long enough time for things to change so I just don't want to post a bunch of outdated information. Thanks1) Emphatically yes! Nonstop flights are available from Miami, Atlanta, Washington Dulles, JFK, and Newark, perhaps others.
2) For a first time visit you can do the usual tourist things like Pao de Acucar and Corcovado, browse in some upscale (Sao Conrado) or midscale (Rio Sul) malls You can eat in any of several excellent restaurants, listen to forro in Lapa, and possible see a concert at Teatro Municipal. I'm sure other members will have other suggestions,

4) If you want to get your visa by mail, you must either use a visa service or find out which consulate area you live in; each consulate covers certain states. Go to that consulate's website and download the application form. Send them your passport with the application. 2 passport sized photos, a money order for the visa fee and return postage, and a return self-addressed Fedex or UPS mailer. I got my current visa by mail directly from the Miami consulate. My recollection is that it took about 2 weeks, but it's better to allow 3+ weeks.

1) Yes Miami and New York for sure take a look at TAM the Brazilian airline.
2) They have a surfing beach in Arpoador, hangliding, sightseeing Christ Statue, Sugar Loaf, Futebol, shopping etc:
3) Apartments have gone up in price along with everything else but you should be able to get a nice apt for about $75 a day.
4) To get a visa using the mail use a visa service I use ZVS. COM it takes about a week and a half.

How about Tijuco?St Teresa covers quite a rambling area, but easiest might be to pick up the Metro Integracao bus. This is a (very tourist-friendly) bus run by the Metro subway company. Ask for a combined ticket. When the bus drops you at Cinelandia or any other Metro Station, pick up a north-west bound subway trains to Cristovao (for Mimosa, easiest) or Saens Pena (Tijuca). Memorise the notes from Sperto, Bubba Guide and others for more details.
A fancier way is to get the bonde or tram. This is a 'must ride' and takes you over the 'must see' Lapa Arches (though you can see the arches better by getting off of course). From the bonde, you can get the Metro at nearby Carioca station or any number of regular buses. But that could work out a bit more complicated if you're in a hurry. Take the bonde one day, walk back to get a photo of the arches (don't flash your camera around too long round there) and then walk back past the bonde terminus to Carioca. It makes an interesting walk if you're not in a hurry. You also pass the weird spaceship like church which is another tourist attraction (again, watch your valuables in that area).
The area around Carioca is good for cheap clothes and also the centro termas. Allow time for finding your bearings.

However they are still a photogenic historical landmark. The Prefeitura is now operating mini yellow busses to replace the bondes. The bondes may never be restored due to the high cost of infrustructure for tracks, and rolling stock. The sidewalks of Lapa were widened and renovated last year with new paving stones. They are less hazardous to navigate now. Another Lapa attraction is the feira do Lavradio on the first Saturday of every month. There are great exhibits of antiques, and artisanal products, with good food from street vendors and local restaurants are all open along rua do Lavradio.

I heard the receptionist say something to me via the door bell system but since I don't understand porto I simply ignored it and walked up. They seemed almost chocked that I got up there without them letting me in and they asked of my purpose for coming there. For the girls I said.

It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon in Rio and I had my pick of destinations all prepared. #1 on my list was Juliana at Casa 19. I called early in the day to make an appointment, but with my limited Porto skills I couldn't quite understand what they were saying to me, and they eventually hung up on me. I did understand that she was working though, and so I decided to give it a try.
At my hotel they said it would be R$40, so they hailed me a cab and we drove down the road a bit and I asked him how much it would cost, to which he replied R$55, which apparently was a set rate for that distance, so I abruptly said no, that I don't want to pay that much and had him swing back around and drop me off at the hotel again. The hotel said to grab a taxi on the street corner if I wanted to pay less, so I walked a couple minutes and immediately found one double parked who offered to bring me for R$30! This guy was hysterical, a veteran taxi driver for 50 years, who was trying to teach me Porto, as well as doing little honks of the horn and tapping his hand against he ceiling and then kissing it, almost like a superstitious thing. Was very entertaining!
He said he knew the street where Casa 19 was located (http://casa19.com/index.htm) , but then ended dropping me off a ways away from it, as I was on the other end of the street. Meanwhile, I start walking around looking for the numbers on the buildings and I'm getting a lot of gringo looks from the locals. I was dressed in plain clothes with no jewelry though, so probably didn't look like a great target, plus there were many people out and about. By the way, it was very cool to see this area, as it felt much more like the real Rio, as opposed to the touristy Copacabana where I was staying.
I used my Porto skills to ask someone where #19 was and they apparently I needed to go down to the far other end of the street, crossing some major roads along the way, then weaving through all kinds of street vendors and shops.
Finally I arrived and buzzed in, walked up some stairs and there was a women sitting at a small desk. I asked if Juliana was available, but she said she was with a client and wouldn't be done for 30min. I didn't have that much time to wait, so I said I'd like to see the other garotas. So they bring me into a nice, clean room with queen bed and shower stall and shut the door. Meanwhile, it was REALLY hot and I was getting overheated, so I snuck out and asked for water. Someone then came in and turned the A / C up in my room which felt much better.
The lineup included 9 garotas, in a variety of different shapes and sizes, but it was a no-brainer to pick Brenda (check out the photos on the website). They had me pay up front, and it was R$110 or R$120 for an hour (sorry can't remember exactly). She was a 5'7" morena, with an absolutely GORGEOUS face, I'm talking 11 on a scale from 1 to 10. Almost a bit of Indian mixed with the Brazilian, as one poster had said a couple days ago. WOW! She was wearing a skin tight dress, hair in a pony tail, and nice heals, and was all of 21 years old. I showered up and it was time for action.
Side note: One thing I didn't like about mongering in Brazil is that U-turn your head for one second and the garotas already have their clothes off and are waiting to go at it. My personal taste is to get a nice long look at them in their clothes to stir up the imagination a bit. To their credit, they are being very conscious of the time that you've paid for.
Meanwhile, she took her clothes off and I would say her body was a solid 7. 5 to 8. Not as tight as I'd prefer (and not quite as good as her photos on the site) , but pretty darn good since she was 21. She was very nice and thought it was cute that I didn't know much Porto but was trying to talk to her and learn. I tried to kiss her but she wanted no part of it and I was a little confused as to why. She then went right into BBBJ so I didn't ask questions. Very good action and I seriously could've looked down at that beautiful face for hours. We moved things to the bed and started going at it in different positions, but she was still a bit distant. Then I asked really nicely if I could kiss her (assuming she was married or had a boyfriend by the way but never got a straight answer) and she said okay but no tongue. Well that opened the flood gates, and a few minutes later we were both loving life with some AMAZING DFK, and her moaning with pleasure. No joke when I say that this garotas lips were something I will never forget in my life. And again, her face was just breathtaking.
We went through a bunch of positions. She really was up for anything, but ended up finishing in missionary because I was so into the ol' DFK, as was she. An hour well spent! In retrospect, wish I had stayed another hour, but was getting late and had to go back to my hotel. Not sure if it was Sperto who posted, but I know I read on the boards somewhere about using humor to ease the tension in the room and get more of a GFE, well this is damn good advice let me tell you.
When I left the room, Juliana was at the front desk and I introduced myself to her. She was very apologetic as she realized I was the one who tried to call for her earlier in the day. She said to come back soon and she'd take care of me, to which I replied. YES PLEASE. Interestingly, in my estimation, Brenda was the better looking garota and I had lucked out big time with the cards I was dealt. That being said, Juliana with her clothes OFF may have tipped the scales back in her favor. Bottom line, I didn't care and went home with a huge smile on my face. I tried to get photos for you guys but she said no face shots, and thats what I wanted most.

The carnival last year was in March and the weather sucked. It would get sunny early in the morning and cloudy and cool for the rest of the day. Not too many chicas want to go to the beach when there's no sun and there's a cool breeze coming from the ocean.
The pics taken was the last day of carnival last year in March. So depressing. I hate to imagine how winter would be like.

But I'm afraid you are not reading it properly.
"Morena" can be used to define the color of the skin as well as the color of the hair. And includes the different combinations.
In other words: You can have a "morena" with dark hair and very light skin. And you can have a "morena" with dark skin and blonde hair ("loira"). Though probably dyed.
That applies both to Spanish and Portuguese.
Then in Portuguese you have different adjectives for the skin tone: Morena oscura, morena clara.

A 20-story building collapsed tonight on Ave Treze de Maio, adjacent to the Municipal Theater. Two people are confirmed dead and numerous injuries are reported. AMBI have been in July once in August. The weather really is hit or miss. It can be quite chilly and rainy. Last year that cold heavy wet dank air got in my lungs and I was coughing like mad. I prefer February.

For all of you who doubt climate change, go visit Rio. Cool temps, rainy days, overcast skies are the new norms, not the exception. One must expect that on average half of his vacation would be ruined by weather, no matter what time of the year he visits Rio.
In July, I recommend visiting Guarapari in ES if you like ocean, sun and fun. Great weather, hot chicks from Minas. 1/10 of the prices of Rio for accomodation. Mongering is lacking, though.

Maybe I can get back to street, which I think is what one or two people more fluent than me are trying to explain. .
It's not the technical precision of a term for me as much as how it is used (as I'm good at getting by and very bad at 'correct' Portuguese, so apologies). For instance, when going through the adverts of independents in the newspapers, we need to know what they are trying to say.
'Black' and 'white', afaiaa, are not used in Brasil the way they are in the US. Anyone with dark skin in the US is 'black' (negra) , whereas in Brasil it is reserved for very Black Afro-origin (and bear in mind the racial issues which can make it quite laden).
So when checking out garotas, context is everything. Branca (white) and negra (black) are unambiguous. Preta, like negra, means black. Branca means white coloured, whereas someone who is just darker skinned (like a brown paper bag) would be black in the US but not black in Brasil.
Morena can be about skin colour or hair, so obviously if the context includes 'blonde' (Ela e loura ou morena?) we're just asking about hair colour. Morena or negra? Or morena ou branca? And we're on skin colour.
Negra.
Branca.
Bem branca.
Bem morena.
Loura or Lourinha.
. . . someone who is morena or mulata is somewhere in between.
I might be wrong. I have plenty of dictionaries and language courses picked up in Brasil and at home (handy to keep in the apartment for reference). But I rely more on how the guy or girl on the barstool says it after a couple of beers.
One more thing for the fluent Porto speakers. Words like 'legal' are cool in conversation, but won't help anyone who hasn't heard them, because the English word 'legal' doesn't sound remotely like it. After seeing them on here, try them on Google Translate audio facility if you need to (though even that sounds like it has a finger up its bottom LOL)

The website includes a map with pickup locations. A couple of routes I took recently included Copabana-Ipanema-Leblon beaches, Lagoa, Leme-Botafogo-Flamengo-Santo Dumont.
The bikes are getting a lot of use and are seen everywhere.

And looking and blinking at the girls. At the end some will stop. Knowing that there are numerous clubs where naked or near-naked girls are available would likely increase travel to the Olympics and be a boon to the economy. Case in point: when the 2006 World Cup was held in Germany, business at the FKKs thrived. FKK Artemis in Berlin, probably the most opulent of the FKKs, was specifically built and opened with the World Cup in mind. A New York Times reporter actually went to Artemis to interview some of the guests there, and many of them stated that they specifically came to Germany because of the FKKs and to enjoy them as a respite from the games. And remember that at the FKKs the girls are naked, not just bikini-clad as in Rio. I'm sure that publicizing the the termas would have the same effect in Rio. Something else I would like to add, I also notice is many of these ex Club Help and ex Termas girls have ran off to Europe to be taking cared of by some older Trick/Simp and many of them just can't wait to hook up with me when I come to Rio very soon ( I have seen some of them off and on over the years ) they even told me to use their private e-mail address whenever I want to talk about something private or when they want to send me pictures, I am amazed at how much these guys trust these chicks .... many of them have sneak out to see me when they come to Rio with their older Trick/ Sugar Daddy /Simp ... the reason I have such a hard view on these chicks is because I know many of them and seen them in action and they have laugh and told me how they have played guys or rip off guys or how much they have had guys send them from Western Union...
So, all I can do is past on to the guys on here advice it's up to them to use it or not..
