From reading this thread it sounds like the massage places in Centro are like in office buildings, can someone describe the buildings and are they hard to locate, especially speaking no Portuguese?
I'm worried I'll go there and not be able to find them.

Well this is a continuation from my report when I was there last month. This is help fellow first timers who are curious and / or need some help.
We did have a girl that just went up to us after walking the beach by the palace. Something did seemed off that she walked up to 2 random guys in the open. She tried to get us to for a beer and get us to come up to the room. Any insight on this? My friend thought could been a set up or something?

The few people here who actually speak Portuguese and over the years have spent months in Rio see the city and its venues from a totally different perspective. For example, I have no idea what all this discussion is about girl-friendly hotels, because I have never had an issue with bringing in different girls at multiple hotels around Rio. Others, whom have had issues can better address it.
As for your girl on the beach, that is how it used to be done. Particularly when Help was still around. A girl might be from the North zone or even from somewhere else in Brazil. She doesn't have a place to stay so is looking to hook up with a gringo. She can take shower, if you are nice, maybe get something to eat, make some money and get a few hours sleep.

Just from these links the Portuguese challenged should have picked up a couple of key words: massagista, terapeutas. Search engines are your friends.
Usually, but certainly not always, massage means happy ending. You can communicate via Whatsapp and ask. Fifteen-twenty years ago, guys would hire guides to take them to Centro. Without a smartphone and very limited Portuguese, I would tell a cab driver where I wanted to go. When the driver got lost in Centro, I had sense enough to get out and know the direction I was heading.

I don't get swapping GDPs at swing clubs, but it is interesting reading about it. Sometimes people are only in Rio for a few days and want to make the best use of their time. Some guys have a bigger budget than others and don't mind paying what Centaurus charges. Others are comfortable getting down and dirty in Vlia Mimosa. What matters is reporting your experiences and let the reader decide if it is for them. There is no right way to monger in Rio, only what is right for you and the best way to decide that is hearing from different guys with their different perspectives.

There is always another alternatives in Brazil. But 4 x 4 is my favorite spot. I kinda knew they could not keep that place closed for too long. It generates way too much money.

I was in MABS around 11 pm Thursday and Friday, for sure the quality of women is very very poor, most of girls are unfuckable (don't know if this word exist but you will understand me.) fat, ugly. On Thursday I went back to my appartment alone, on Friday I was lucky I found a really very nice woman from sao paulo, it was the only one very beautiful woman in Mabs, my advice if you you go to mabs and see a nice woman go straight to her, if not, you will not be lucky twice.

1) If the door guys think you are new, they will charge you 50 R to bring a girl into the club. So if you take a girl from Mabs to DC, they will add 50 R to your bill.
2) They will also charge you 30 R to take a girl out of the club. Even though they are freelancers, they will try this scam on you too.
3) Inflated drinks and Kick backs. This is the one they got me with. The drinks are super inflated (Vodka and Red bull = 75 R). What I didn't know is that for every drink the girl buys on your card, they get a hick back from the club. I don't know the percentage but they make money off of every drink you buy. Hence the reason why every girl is BEGGING you to buy drinks because if she doent pull a client, at least she can make a couple of hundred reais off of your drink bill.
One cute that I was dancing with asked me to buy her and her girlfriend a drink. Like an asshole I handed her my card. This bytch came back to where we were sitting with 3 vodka and redbulls, 3 shots and some drink in a champagne glass. I was pissed because I didn't tell her to buy me a drink and I certainly didn't authorize her to buy 7 fucking drinks without checking with me first!! When I went to pay the bill, it was damn near 500 Reais, I wanted to kick her in the ass!
The next day when I told another member who lives down there what happened, he started laughing and told me about the scam. Every time a girl orders a drink, they mark the drink on a card, at the end of the night the girl picks up the card from the bar, takes it to the cashier and gets her cut. I bet she made 50% off of my bill.
So for any one who goes to Dolce Vita, you can have a lot of fun with the girls but be extra vigilant with your card because its a serious clip koint!

As far as the cover charge, they charge 50 are entrance regardless, if you bring a girl with you or not.
However, I always avoid the charge by saying I was told by a manager that I could enter free.
They waive that charge pretty easily.
As far as a 30 are charge to leave with a girl, I've never seen that.
Drink charges you're right, can run high, and a 'vodka and red bull' counts as 2 drinks, so it will definitely be pricey.
I personally would never give a garota my card (comanda) to pay for drinks. Yikes!

Back in Rio in two days, my stomach cancer didn't kill me yet.
Experience between Thailand and Brazil. It's easier to bareback in Thailand than Brazil. But sex performance is way better in Brazil. In the old days when we called for taxis, they would not show up unless the trip resulted in a decent fare. If they were in route to you and a better offer came in, you would get stuck. Happened to me a lot until I hired a private driver. That was a passenger pain point Uber sought to solve. I originally thought they had a multi-cast system. You use the app to request a ride and several of the closest drivers are notified. The first one to accept gets the fare. However, the system actually contacts the closest driver and they can accept or decline. Decline too many and you get naughty marks against you. If the first driver declines, the request goes to next closest driver.

Christmas and New Year in Rio de Janeiro is excellent with great atmosphere. Definitely recommendable.
When it comes to privées it might not be a good time to visit. 21 and 22 are weekend. 23 is propably OK. 24 and 25 most privées will be closed. 26 and 27 should be OK. 28 and 29 are weekend. 30 might be OK. 31 and 1 the privées will be closed. 2 and 3 privées will be open, but many of the GPs will still be travelling. 4 and 5 are weekend.
Out of your 16 days about 6 days will be decent days to visit privées. The situation might be better if you visit termas. You also have the option of escorts, freelancers, boates and Mabs Zoológico.

BlueChange didn't ask about opening hours on Saturdays. I never wrote that the privées are closed on weekends, I noted which dates were weekends. Anybody with some experience of privées knows that most Centro privées are closed on weekends, except a few which are open a few hours on Saturdays.

Euro Rio Spa, (https://espacoterapias.com.br/clinicas/euro-rio-spa/). Their website appears to be down for now, but they are one of the few prives open on Sunday.
The prives in Tijuca (at least Massagem Tijuca and Annes Massagem) are open Saturdays until about 5 or 6 PM. The prives in 583 Nossa S. De Copacabana are open on Saturdays until at least 6 PM. Termas Monte Carlo, Solarium, and Centaurus are open Saturday nights. Villa Mimosa, if it reopens again, should be open Saturday and Sunday, although it is mostly a horror show. I don't remember if the trash boates in Centro like 210 and 145 Uruguaiana are open on Saturday nights.

Passes for free entrances, allowing me to bring in non-GDPs and never an issue with the bill. From my first visit, the regulars have been welcoming. To me, it feels like Cheers. The rooms are nice and spacious enough for foursomes. Another benefit of not being a jerk is that the girls will seek you out. Guys often complain that there are no girls this or that place but if you are someone who has a reputation for treating them well, they suddenly appear out of nowhere. Don't quote me on this, but I think this is also one of the places that allow two guys and two girls to go to a room. No, not into guy on guy, but it is fun to watch, do a DP and switch off.

But, be aware that a street level door leading to an upper floor is not unusual. In Copacabana, there was a small termas of sorts across from the park and around the corner from Monte Carlo. Also, on Tonelero near the Siqueira Campos metro entrance was another upper floor place that unless you knew about it, you would walk right by.
You just never know. In the states, I walked up to the door of a lingerie store and it was locked. The owner unlocks it lets me inside and relocks it. Out walks a gorgeous girl wearing very loose shorts and top that showed everything. Who would have thought? In my travels, I try to keep an open mind and flexible schedule. My experience is that if there is a red door, I am going to check it out.

As others have pointed out, it looks like T65 has received the lion's share of the overflow from 4 x 4 and they have decided to raise prices substantially to boot! I decided to check the place out about halfway thru my trip and had to wait at the reception desk while a group of gringos were asking the receptionist questions about pricing via G-translate. One guy struggled to explain that he was just there the week before and the prices were lower. When they finally decided to go in, I stepped to the desk & immediately realized what he was talking about! I had last been there during the summer & all of a sudden, the cover went from R30 to R40 (at least drinks are included) & the 30 m session was jacked up 25%! Since I happened to be carrying enough scratch, I decided to head upstairs & see how much the talent had improved.
Mind you, since this place reopened it has really been mediocre with a small, low-quality lineup. Now this time there were at least 2-2.5 x as many GPS as previous visits, but in no way was it commensurate w / the absurd prices increases! I'm very picky & tend to go from place to place looking for the right combo of features. 65 had all of 1 chick I found doable, but I wouldn't rate her more than a 7.5. Even worse, 40-50% of the females in there couldn't make $ in a decent prive, let alone a 2nd division / borderline 1st division place like this!
This is a perfect example of why I stopped patronizing the 1st division places many years ago once they lost their collective minds & decided to price themselves into the stratosphere! I go to Rio for the females, not the 'ambiance' & there is simply no place or class of places that has the market cornered on hot garotas. What bothered me most about 65 is that at least half the clientele were gringos (which was only 1 of 3 places where I saw a gringo monger in 2 weeks)!
If customers continue to patronize shady establishments like this, they will just continue to exploit you. FTR, T65 is now the highest-priced 2nd division place by a considerable margin & none of the other places of that class have raised prices since 4 x 4 closed, in fact several have dropped prices in recent years.
Some of these motels show the price for 2 people only. Do they really care if I bring 2 or 3 girls with me?

The price list photos I have would not upload.

Had walked by this place a couple of times on my Saturday night strolls through Lapa but had never gone in because of the caipivodka drink I always bought at my usual street stand on the way. The best alternatives in Centro are Cancun, T65 and 502 . T65 is better than before right now maybe because 4 x4 is now closed. 4 x4 will open again for sure. MV30 is not really good. Have things reverted since the world's eyes left RIo? What do you people think about the chances of finding Non GDP action in Copa these days. . If you think the chances of this are low, are there any specific area's you would say were better in that regard to base ourselves in Ipanema, Lapa or Centro perhaps.
I am working my way through this entire thread back from 2009 (I am trying to do about 25 pages a day. Definitely not spam, trust me. My memory is just a little Hazy because it's been nearly 13 years and it was a heavy trip in terms of drinking (I my defense was only 19 at the time) but every hot girl I ran into in Copa bars clubs the beach etc (well apart from 1 girl) was clearly working. Since then I always just associated Copa as a place like Pattaya where all the girls there are working.
Any particular clubs in the Copa area you can recommend for Non P4P?
