Better try Azul!I've tried Azul but in my experience LATAM and GOL have better prices, more flights to choose between and more direct flights for the destinations I go to. But sure, Azul is an option.

I shouldn't complain. In the early nineties the domestic flights were expensive and I sometimes had to take 60 hours busrides. Might sound awful, but a great way to get another view of this huge country.

I made several trips to different governments offices for several days. Follow the instruction of the attached form as much as you can. I use my US address. The fields on the form don't match but I did it anyway. These are the only info I sent to the email address listed.

1. the receipt of the online submission.
2 selfie with passport.

Nothing more, just be clear, I did not send utility bill mainly because I did not have it at that time. I could get it from my host but I don't have to.

I got my CPF within 3 days. I hope it works for you too.

I followed your instruction, filled out everything closest possible online with your link, took a selfie and sent the attachments to this email off website here https://www.gov.br/receitafederal/pt-br/assuntos/meu-cpf/envio-de-documentos-por-e-mail/.

It only took 3 days to receive my CPF. Everything was done online, and I am not in Brazil. Muito Obrigado.
I followed the same instruction too, but I got this answer:

"Para a emisso de CPF para estrangeiro, alm dos documentos enviados, se faz necessrio a apresentao de um dos trs documentos abaixo relacionados:

At Christian G: Send an e-mail to 'RF08-CPF residente no exterior-CxCorp' at cpf.residente.exterior@rfb.gov.br and include in your correspondence the copy of your request with assigned number, a selfie of yourself with your document (like passport) and a legible copy of this document on your selfie (passport). That is good news. No longer need to worry about the PCR. Can just take a cheaper home antigen test the day before.A home antigen test will not be enough. Negative covid test results must be performed in a laboratory recognized by the health authority of the country of origin and must be presented in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

Maybe somebody else have the same problem? LATAM site works better than the GOL site, but GOL often have better prices and flight schedules.

The problem with the GOL site right now is that if you pick a ticket at a certain date it will sell you a ticket a day earlier. OK, so I chose a date one day after when I want to fly, then the purchase ticket will be on the right date. However when you continue to checkout to pay it's impossible to change the country from Brazil to another country. Of course you can choose your country in the top bar, but this will automatically change to Brazil when showing your search results. I also tried making a purchase by logging into the GOL site first, but then there is an error message about currency.

I asked GOL about there problems and they told me it's because an update on their platform. When will it work? Maybe tomorrow or maybe in a month.Tomm, in a month or in a year. That is Brazil for you in Nut Shell.

BTW the GOL site had some issues this morning. They had tickets Fortaleza-Rio for 106 reais. The prices got changed to normal prices after one hour.

LATAMs site for Europe (Other countries) works very badly. I tried calling their contact centers in UK and Germany. The calls gets disconnected after a few minutes.

My solution was using LATAMs German site (even though I don't live there). Then it worked fine.

I had a problem with them. The girl only activated the sim, paid R10 but she didn't charge it up with data. I was walking around the mall thinking it was good and had to come back to the store to find out why no data. Basically after you activate the sim, you need to charge it around R20-R30 for the service.

Hello,

I will be going to Brazil in May 2022.

During my naughty 15-day stay in Rio, I would love to visit the Iguaçu falls.

Do you know if an internal flight from Rio to foz do Iguazu requires a PCR test of less than 72 hours?

I would also like to visit the falls on the Argentinian side and sleep there for one or two nights, do you know if when crossing the border between Argentina and Brazil you have to present a pcr test or if my vaccination is enough?

By thanking the people who will take the time to read me and answer me, I promise you that I will give you a full account of this first experience in Brazil.

However, Argentina is another story, and they do require a 72-hour PCR test, but that's for international air travel. You'll need to inquire specifically about rules for land crossing in Iguassu, because the Argentinian side is the main reason to go there.

The easiest thing is that I stay and sleep in Brazil and just spend a day in Iguazu on the Argentinian side.

Thanks again!

Thanks again! That sounds like a good call my friend! You'll definitely save money staying and sleeping in Foz do Iguaçu versus finding accommodation in Puerto Iguaçu, Argentina. Hotels look to be a bit more pricey on the Argentina side. Something I find strange considering the crash of the Argentine peso vs the usd in recent times.

I'd recommend at least 2 days on the Argentinian side, and that's with a private guide / car, which is the only way I'd go about it. Otherwise you'll spend hours on buses and border control; the distances are vast.

Group tour buses are badly suited for Iguassu, IMHO. We're talking one of the most spectacular places on this planet. You just don't want to be rushed.

The Brazilian side can be done in the afternoon.

I've been there twice. You need at least 3 full days in Iguassu, preferably four.

LOL it's true that I don't realize the size of the site, I thought I would waste a little time in the bus to cross the border, but that once there I could do the Argentinian side routes on foot in one day.

My resonance was purely financial, but it is probably not the place to have this kind of reflection. I am going to come from France to visit this place and Rio, at worst I would make myself a thermas in less to enjoy a little more of these gems than our land has offered us.

Thanks for your advices.

I will think about this to prepare the visit as well as possible.

Hi,

I'm an old European and I don't know Brazil at all.

When there is a better situation for the pandemic, I would like to stay in Brazil for about 25 days.

I will look for only regular girls, I don't like pro. I don't like to reach bars, clubs, etc.

Repeat, I'm old, even if but I look good.

I'd like to know some beautiful girls and to be with them in my rented apartment for 7-10 days with each one.

My questions:

1) I don't know if it is hard for me all that, both because I am old and because I'd like to live in my apartment with the girl for full time.

2) In your opinion which is the best city for me to get this GF experiences?

3) Out of curiosity: how much is Brazil expensive compared to some other cities in South America?

4) Usually I like to give her some money before she leave after one week. How much money could I give her (around)?

5) If I have to get an occasional sex and the girl pass the night with me, how much money have I to give her (around)?

Thanks so much to clear my ideas about Brazil.

Saint Bubba Boy of Rio, Pray for us, now and at the hour of our orgasm.

Sperto wrote,

"Bubba Boys reports are worth much more than anyone else's reports in the Brazil forum. ".

A truer statement has never been made!

http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?2192-Rio-de-Janeiro-Reports&p=2625495&viewfull=1#post2625495.

Why?

While some minor, factual points (Luomo is closed) have changed, Bubba Boy -- who was a long term resident of Rio, and most importantly, a Australian, and Aussie -- captures the timeless emotional dynamics of mini relationships with Carioca women, which is the real goal, the real pay off, the pearl in the oyster.

Sperto has coined exactly the right carioca term for the chronic poster who has not been in Rio for years and has not plans of being here for half a year maybe -- a chato -- in the local language, boring. Why boring? Because what is interesting is real time intelligence: the best girls at which clubs, with pictures, with discussion of how they are in bed. A chato strokes his. Hard drive. For those photos from years ago, which may as well be just the pictures on another porn site. An interesting wingman is in rio, or recently was, or will be again, and who has current contacts with the top girls at the top clubs, or the medium clubs, or in the prives.

Bubba Boy is a saint of our church of pussy patrolling because of a religion which no less than Einstein himself cited -- Einstein when asked if he believed in god, said he believed in the God of Spinoza. As much as Saint Ignatius of loyola defined a psychological worldview for Catholics, I would offer that Saint Bubba Boy of Rio defined a psychological worldview for mongers, and that the higher power Bubba had in mind would be the same as Einstein's.

When Einstein gave lectures at USA Universities, the recurring question that students asked him most was:

- Do you believe in God?

And he always answered:

- I believe in the God of Spinoza.

Baruch de Spinoza was a Dutch philosopher considered one of the great rationalists of 17th century philosophy, along with Descartes.

(Spinoza) : God would say:

Stop praying.

What I want you to do is go out into the world and enjoy your life. I want you to sing, have fun and enjoy everything I've made for you.

Stop going into those dark, cold temples that you built yourself and saying they are my house. My house is in the mountains, in the woods, rivers, lakes, beaches. That's where I live and there I express my love for you.

Stop blaming me for your miserable life; I never told you there was anything wrong with you or that you were a sinner, or that your sexuality was a bad thing. Sex is a gift I have given you and with which you can express your love, your ecstasy, your joy. So don't blame me for everything they made you believe.

Stop reading alleged sacred scriptures that have nothing to do with me. If you can't read me in a sunrise, in a landscape, in the look of your friends, in your son's eyes. ➤ you will find me in no book!

Stop asking me "will you tell me how to do my job?" Stop being so scared of me. I do not judge you or criticize you, nor get angry, or bothered. I am pure love.

Stop asking for forgiveness, there's nothing to forgive. If I made you. I filled you with passions, limitations, pleasures, feelings, needs, inconsistencies. Free will. How can I blame you if you respond to something I put in you? How can I punish you for being the way you are, if I'm the one who made you? Do you think I could create a place to burn all my children who behave badly for the rest of eternity? What kind of god would do that?

Respect your peers and don't do what you don't want for yourself. All I ask is that you pay attention in your life, that alertness is your guide.

My beloved, this life is not a test, not a step on the way, not a rehearsal, nor a prelude to paradise. This life is the only thing here and now and it is all you need.

I have set you absolutely free, no prizes or punishments, no sins or virtues, no one carries a marker, no one keeps a record.

You are absolutely free to create in your life. Heaven or hell.

I can't tell you if there's anything after this life but I can give you a tip. Live as if there is not. As if this is your only chance to enjoy, to love, to exist.

So, if there's nothing after, then you will have enjoyed the opportunity I gave you. And if there is, rest assured that I won't ask if you behaved right or wrong, I'll ask. Did you like it? Did you have fun? What did you enjoy the most? What did you learn?.

Stop believing in me; believing is assuming, guessing, imagining. I don't want you to believe in me, I want you to believe in you. I want you to feel me in you when you kiss your beloved, when you tuck in your little girl, when you caress your dog, when you bathe in the sea.

Stop praising me, what kind of egomaniac God do you think I am?

I'm bored being praised. I'm tired of being thanked. Feeling grateful? Prove it by taking care of yourself, your health, your relationships, the world. Express your joy! That's the way to praise me.

Stop complicating things and repeating as a parakeet what you've been taught about me.

What do you need more miracles for? So many explanations?

The only thing for sure is that you are here, that you are alive, that this world is full of wonders.

Spinoza.

Did you try Google flights? I needed a flight from GRU to SDU. My trip eventually didn't happen so I had to forfeit it, but anyway, the cheapest rate was on GOL and I booked it through some OTA I don't remember. It was about $25, so I don't think it could've been any cheaper if booked directly.

Brazilian here,

1) are you talking about prostitutes or gold diggers? Prostitutes in Brazil work as fine as anywhere you can pay them 200 dolars and spend whole day with them. If you paying for a week or so maybe you can getter better price. If you thinking you will go to a bar or beach and easily hook up with a hot girl you should consider yourself first. You aren't the only foreigner in Brazil, Brazil is full of young good looking foreigners and these "hot girls looking for fun" will certainty prefer them first. So it is possible to hook up with a different girl every night, but how hot and how much you going to spend for that will depend on how you look.

2) best girlfriend experiences will be in less touristic areas. Go to the northeast, Fortaleza, natal are good places with good girls. Rio de Janeiro is just cramped with all the tourists of Brazil, competition for girls much higher, prices super high, beaches not so good, violence and traffic jams are the worst in Brazil.

Remember that less than 5% of Brazilians speak decent English, if you are hopping to have a girl that you will be able to talk to and enjoy conversations longer than "how old are you, where are you from" you will need to dig a lot.

3) Most important thing about Brazil, stop thinking of Brazil as one single country. Brazil is the 5th biggest country in the planet 6th largest population, you cannot think of Brazil a singe "cluster" where you can apply the same rules everywhere. It is very much like USA "how much is to live in California? And how much to live in Indiana?" very same rule applies to Brazil.

Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo are the two most expensive cities in South America, prices for everything there can be compared to NY, Madrid, Paris. But as far as you get from these big tourist traps you can get cheaper. In Rio de Janeiro you will spend about 2000 to 3000 USD per month to have a comfortable stay, in Natal (3000 km away from Rio) you will live like a king with 1500 USD per month. I myself have personally lived in both cities and I wouldn't recommend Rio to nobody.

4) And 5) these questions are really relative to you, minimum wage in brazil is 200 USD per month, this means whatever girl you meet, if she has a menial job (waitress, seller, McDonalds employee) she will need to work a whole month to get 200 USD. Prostitutes will charge will about 100 USD per night or even 50 USD for 1 hour sex (this is an average you can get as cheap as 10 USD for a 15 minutes quickie) with this information in mind you can decide what are you giving to the girl.

And how much to live in Indiana?" very same rule applies to Brazil.Thank you for your insight my friend.

European flights to Rio seem to be 2-3 times what they were pre covid, my previous trip I flew Lufthansa but even with flexible dates they are over 1500 euro.

Is this the new normal for flights? I've been using Skyscanner & Google flights to search. Has anyone found any reasonable priced flights recently?Glad I have plenty of miles. My next few trips to Brazil will be for free.

My solution was using LATAMs German site (even though I don't live there). Then it worked fine.SteveG75 also had problems buying flight tickets. As I mentioned GOL site is really hopeless. LATAM site is almost as bad. I did manage to buy some domestic tickets for my upcoming trip with LATAM. All tickets were payed online, received confirmation emails etc. What is strange that not all tickets were charged on my account. I contacted LATAM and asked if these tickets were paid for and everything OK. They told me all the tickets were paid for and ready to go and sent me electronic ticket receipts. Maybe I will travel for free? I'll know when I'll check in.

Tickets from Europe to Brazil are much more expensive than they used to be. I pay about 1400 euro, high season / December. I bought my ticket a bit late, in mid-October. The ticket prices have gone up a lot since September. Tickets in January-March are cheaper.I think the reason for the higher ticket prices is that people have vouchers for their cancelled flights and the airlines want to get some extra cash for carrying the people now when the situation is better. Also the people won't feel so bad paying few hundred for the ticket price difference. I paid less than 2000 euros for my Air France / KLM business class ticket, but I bought it in the middle of the pandemic. Now they are asking 2700 for the same stretch. I think we are going to see higher ticket prices whole 2022, until the vouchers expire.

Azul has my Azul number in the space where CPF goes so it says invalid CPF, but is blocked out so I can not change anything. I was on 1 hour with the agent typing. Well not dealing with the issue but a lot of waiting and dead air and switching to another person for who knows why. Finally the 4th person I was connected to told me I had to call a number. Called the number and they said this is only to make a booking.

I went to the Gol site and did not use my log in. They wanted a Brazil address but I was able to manipulate through the system. I did have to put in my CPF. Both sites charge like $5 more for payment in $ vs reais. I think I had to change my VPN to Brazil to pay in reais on the Gol site to avoid the extra $5.

But I'm on a no contract month to month so I can't purchase any international travel plan with Verizon. My phone will work with CDMA or GSM. I've used it like this in Mexico. I guess I'm trying to figure out if I need to get the CPF or can I do what he advises to do in Rio?

SIM Chips, follow up on 116.

SIM Chips.

Phone / Getting a Sim " chippee": Go to Central. Buy the Vivo, as it apparently gets better signal. Then you can charge the number "recarga" at any pharma, kiosk, etc, in order to keep your chip charged. You can also get chips for Tim, claro, etc. The cost is 10 reais, or 17 reais. Tell them you do not have a CPF, and that you want them to "cadastrar". You will see any number of women or sometimes men walking around with little trays with Tim, Claro, or Vivo. Getting a Brazilian number is key for game on zap, which is to say, essential.

Went to El Dorado shopping center which has at least three service provider stores. Claro told me they can't set up my phone without a CPF. Asked if I know a local in town that would allow me to use their number. I do not. Next went to the TIM store. Same thing told me I need a CPF number to activate their service. Next went to the VIVO store and showed them my passport and pointed to my phone and said "necessito SIM card". They said they could set me up with a "prepaid" SIM card. After about 20 minutes of data entry he asked me for my CPF number LOL. I explained I'm a foreigner so I don't have one. He said ok he'll have to set it up differently. All this conversation BTW is using google translate on his laptop. After another 20 to 25 minutes he had it completed and working. I tried to pay cash but he said a credit card is required both to buy the SIM card and to recharge the account. Strange but whatever. I did happen to have my credit cards with me so no problem. The Vivo service has been working fine both for data and phone calls.

There is a very large food and department store on the first floor of El Dorado mall with a small phone store in the corner. That's actually where I was heading on a suggestion by the TIM store rep that they could set me up without a CPF. I just happened to pass the Vivo store on the way so stopped there first and glad I did.

"From next Saturday (11), new rules for the entry of travelers into Brazil will come into effect. Those who arrive on international flights and are not immunized against Covid-19 will have to present the disease test, carried out up to 72 hours before boarding, and comply with a five-day quarantine. At the land border, proof of vaccination or negative test will be required.

Under the new rule, the idea is that travelers on international flights continue filling out a form required by Anvisa, called DSV (Traveller's Health Declaration), before boarding.

In this document, they must indicate where they will spend the quarantine in Brazil, if they are not vaccinated, and make a commitment to cover the expenses during the isolation period. Whoever presents a certificate of immunization will be released from the isolation period.

If the traveler tests positive at the end of the quarantine period, he / she must continue in isolation, following Health rules.

In addition, inspectors at Brazilian airports must check the immunization certificates of those who claimed to have received the vaccine.

Failure to comply with health rules can lead to foreigners being deported. Brazilians, on the other hand, can respond to civil, administrative and criminal actions".

Maybe you can have natural immunity without taking the vaccine. I have done more times than I can count, since this thing started, just what you said I would have to be out of my mind to do and nothing. Fit as a fiddle. Matter of fact I am just getting back from Brazil this morning and leaving my doctor's appointment for a regular check-up. I must be doing something right. By the way, you do not get any immunity by being vaccinated.Mr. E, with all due respect (and I mean it), your last statement is false. It's irresponsible and dangerous to spread disinformation on life-and-death matters, no matter how you personally feel about it. Vaccines train your body to develop immunity to a virus. That's a definition of what vaccines do.

If you mean that immunity will wane with time passing, that's true, and this is why we need boosters. There is nothing unique about it (shingles, pneumonia, MMR, etc.).

If you did then vaccinated people would not have to continue to wear masks and they could just run up into the lions' den and party with no hope of contracting the disease as it seemed Axel was alluding to.

Domestic flights in Brazil can be hell if you have a connection and leaves from the shitty airport Santos Dumont. I arrived in Rio at Wednesday night. On Thursday morning I went to Santos Dumont at 7 AM. I had a flight to Fortaleza at 9. 20 AM, with connection in Salvador. I printed my boarding cards and baggage label, and went to baggage drop. Two people attending all Latam customers. It took more than an hour to drop my bag. Then I hade to wait in line 30 minutes at the security check. It tuned out that the plane to Salvador had technical problems so they had to change plane. The delay was more than 30 minutes. This resulted that I wouldn't be able to catch my connection in Salvador. They told me to retrieve my bag, desembarcar and go to Latam check in. They would put me on a direct flight from Galeao to Fortaleza at 2 PM. It took more than an hour to retrieve my bag.

I went to Latam check in. Waited an hour to get attended. Meanwhile there were many furious customers. Some throw heavy objects on the staff. It turned out that the promised direct flight from Galeao was a false promise. There were plenty of passengers that couldn't go to Fortaleza. Latam encountered place for 1 passenger on an Azul flight that evening. They gave it to me. OK, I would travel at 6 PM. Rio to Recife and then a connection to Fortaleza.

Latam gave me two "vale the comida", 30 and 40 reais. There were a list to which restaurants the vale was valid. It turned out that all the restaurants on the 30 reais vale closed years ago. I did find a café that did except the vale. No big deal, but still good. I had time to kill and went to Centro and picked up TIM chips in a kiosk on Avenida Rio Branco, 12 reais. It couldn't be more easy to activate them. Done in no time.

I needed some fun so I went to Belprazer. No favourite of mine but it was close by. I chose Eduarda. Absolutely beautiful face and lovely eyes. The tia greeted me and told Eduarda to give me special treatment as I was a VIP. Eduardas tits turned out to be medium sized silicon tits, which I don't like. Her ass was a horse ass, good enough but I prefer pony ass. The session was good with multiple positions and finished with 2 BBBJCIM. 140 reais / one hour.

Then I went back to Santos Dumont and had a free dinner. I checked in at Azul. They tried to charge me 140 reais for my luggage but changed their mind. The flight left in time and I was looking forward to arrive in Fortaleza that night. After a bit more than an hour a passenger got sick. The pilot decided to land quickly in Vitoria. Medics arrived and left with a sick lady. This meant a delay so when we arrived in Recife my connection to Fortaleza had left. After two hours Azul brought the passengers that lost their connections to a nice hotel in Boa Viagem, for free of course. They sent up a delicious dinner to my room. Afterwards I went to check out the neighborhood. At 1. 30 AM there were only homeless people and crackudos out. This morning I continued with an Azul glight to Fortaleza. I arrived 20 hours later than I had planned. Normally I always buy direct flights in Brazil when it's possible. However, I never had problems with connections before. This time I had major problems twice in a day.

BTW, when I bought this ticket Rio to Fortaleza the Latam site had problems. It turned out I received my ticket and receipt without never been charged. Flight tickets for free is always nice.

Now I'm in a small beach town south of Fortaleza. I'll go out and see if I find some girls that don't fall in the category "football heads without necks."

I don't really want to get too political here because I strongly believe that if somebody does not want to get vaxed that is his or her own business, you have to be out of your mind to travel to travel a foreign country and mix it up with local girls in bars and bordellos, if you have not been vaxed 2 or 3 times or had Covid in the past and thus built up a natural immunity. It just ain't going to be a fun trip if you don't have proof of vaccination and it might turn into a disaster if you catch the virus.I agree about not forcing people to get taxed. And I agree that for a monger, it really makes a lot of sense to get the vaccine. Having sex with multiple women (who themselves have sex with multiple guys) is risky behavior for contracting many things, among them Covid. And getting sick while traveling sucks.

Google translation of some parts of the article:

"After Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) informed this Monday (13) that it would require a vaccination certificate at airports and land borders, the decision was partially fulfilled at the Guarulhos International Airport, in Greater Sao Paulo.

Although most passengers had to present the document, some still managed to enter the country this Tuesday (14) without showing it.

In Guarulhos, passengers reported disorganization in the area of arrivals and immigration. On the other hand, it was said that there were more attendants than usual to verify the documentation required from travelers.

They also stated that it was not clear when the documentation should be presented. While some showed proof only to the airline on boarding, others had to present it to the Brazilian authorities when they arrived in the country".

Surprised no one has posted this yet. Appears they pretty much copied the USA.

Effective immediately, all individuals ages 12 and older traveling to Brazil by air must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination, in addition to a Traveler's Health Declaration (DSV) and proof of a negative COVID-19 test, either an RT-PCR test performed within 72 hours of boarding or an antigen test performed within 24 hours of boarding.

Yesterday evening I followed a friend to a Bradesco when she was going to make a withdrawal. Everything looked OK but suddenly the machine died. The screen went black. It wasn't possible to take out the card. A guy was still inside the bank. I called him out but he didn't know how to solve it and propably couldn't care less. Maybe they could solve it tomorrow. Right, and leave the card in the machine meanwhile? Luckily there was one more of the staff inside the bank, just leaving. A hot blond woman, some kind of supervisor. I caught her and insisted she would solve the problem. Tonight it would be impossible, she said. I insisted and finally she went inside and with help of some technical support by phone she did something with the machine so it was possible to take out the card.

Lesson to be learned, do your withdrawals during bank hours in case you need this kind of assistance.

Does anyone know what the current exchange rate is to change British pounds to local currency or how much it normally differs from the standard rate?

Thanks for any help. When I first got here 2 months ago I got 7. 7 to a at the gambio, exchange rate was 7. 5. But since then it has gradually been dropping I got 7. 5 and 7. 4 last week. But you need to shop around, most were offering 7. 2 throughout.

The official exchange rate was 7. 38 yesterday.

I got 7. 33 using my starling bank debit card.

I got 7. 1 using an ATM, no other fees using bradesco bank.

I would recommend using a card as much as possible, the rate is reasonable and everyone pays by card here for everything. It can be a pain getting change from a 100 note in bars, supermarkets etc.

I been to Brazil 3 times during Covid season no problem getting results quick and sent to you via email or WhatsApp. Cash is king bro don't be afraid to walk around with money. You won't want to be looking for ATM every time you want to see a girl just my opinion. Put it in a safe. I take cash everywhere less hassle. Thanks.Never used them, but prepaid cards are tricky. Many won't work at ATMs, others won't work outside of the USA Or your home country. If it does work, I can only imagine what it would charge for cash withdrawals. Call them and ask, don't leave anything to chance. And make sure to have back up no matter what they tell you.

Being in a position to avoid many months of Midwest winter, I would welcome your thoughts. Brazil probably has the following in abundance:
Comfortable (3-4 star) accommodations: Check (Naturally, depends on $$$, City, Location and Safety)
plentiful good food and drink: Check (from fine dining, Brazilian Churrascas (BBQs), World Class Pizzerias to Classic Street Food. YMMV in diff cities)
Affectionate women: Check (in major abundance in most any city or parts of Brazil. Doesn't matter how old you are, just have the necessary $$$)

Oh! BTW, having a warm personality and/or sunny disposition wouldn't hurt either.
Compatriots: Not So Much, if at all? (I don't think there are large established communities of expats like in Thailand, Phils, DR or CR)

Just my 2-cents. Good Luck!

What is driving the move?

As I'm sure lots of you guys have noticed, The real has been slowly gaining ground against the US dollar recently. Will it fall below 5. 0? Imo, although it hasn't happened yet, It kinda seems likely at this point. Obviously, I'm just speculating but I do wonder how many mongers will give Brazil a pass if the exchange rate dips below 5. 0? Don't get me wrong, there is still plenty of value to be had even with the current exchange rate. What will it take for some of you guys to pass up on vacation to Brazil if the real continues to appreciate vs the dollar? 4.75? 4.50? Personally if it falls below 4. 25 for whatever reason I'll probably sit it out and wait to see what happens next.

The highest the dollar was getting recently was about 5. 75 now it's about 12% lower. Every thousand dollars you lose about a 100 or so. If it went below 3. 5 I would have to take a pause. But I am invested in gold so theoretically I should keep ahead of the debasement of the dollar, good question I guess we have to take inflation into consideration too.

I've been coming to Brazil for 20 years. Brazilians normally do a great job adjusting their retail prices no matter what the course is. If the prices seem to be on the rise, that's post-pandemic boom more than anything. I'm trying to remember what the average price of pussy was in 2000's and I can't, which means it was never outrageous outside of Centaurus.

No way I will be in Brazil with 1:1 exchange rate if the price stays the same. A caipirinha in Scandallo is going to cost US $70.Ok, really a US $70 Caipirinha?? LOL, I don't think so. (But maybe given the Cachaca (https://wineonlinedelivery.com/product/cachaca-dom-tapparo-extra-premium-aged-12-years-750-ml/?msclkid=fdc3ff9a6a3118dd69809dbe76b329c8) being used) Either way I have had rare $$$ Scotch and Bourbon, so an expensive drink doesn't bother me at all. The sky is falling at 1:1 is not true, pricing adjusts. Pricing is not going to rise in Brazil where goods and services will be too expensive for the average Brazilian (unless there is some unforeseen financial shock to the country). Also, at the time it was 1:1 I did not see anyone complaining accept Americans but on the ground, life was normal in Brazil, and I was not hearing Brazilians complain and to me all pricing was reasonable. Only time I saw price increases was during carnival (which happens all the time) and that was temporary.

Everybody's pockets are different, so if exchange rates prevent one for traveling well ............. not my problem.

Regarding exchange rates. I recall once in the mid nineties that the Brazilian real was stronger than the dollar. 1 real cost 1,05 dollar.

I remember my last night in Rio I paid 35 reais for a TLN with a Help girl.

However, the war pushed oil prices higher and that's pushing up the currencies of oil producing countries.

The global market was scared by him.

These prices were likely when the Real initially depreciated in the summer and internal prices had not adjusted to the currency shock. As far as Help that seems a bit low, but Help prices were all over the board. It depended on how hot the girl was and what time in the night. You could pick-up some hotties before closing time at a discount, but many times they were returning for a second go of it.

From memory, in the spring of 2003 I remember a couple Mineira bombshells asking for 250 reais each in the cafe outside Help. My buddy and I took them back to our shared apartment because they were fine and seemed determined not to leave separately. It worked out great. Making the girls comfortable led to a party atmosphere.

3 Tonelada$: Assalto ao Banco Central (aka. The Great Robbery of Brazil's Central Bank)

August 2005. A burglary in the Central Bank, located in Fortaleza, Ceará, takes out approximately 165 million reais from the bank's safe, or around 3 tons and a half of used and untraceable 50-real bills. A spectacular crime that was performed with the help of an underground tunnel of almost 80 meters in length, at first leaving no witnesses and no evidence.

Hi team,

I've been going to Medellin every few months for the past 8 years.

I speak Spanish pretty fluently.

Kind of tempted to go to Brazil.

I speak no Portuguese. And not nothing about Brazil other than what I can read here.

I can get decent prices on flights to Sao Paulo. Not sure what's better for mongering there or Rio or?

I want some Brazilian hotties but haven't gone there mainly for fears about language- especially since I speak Spanish so Colombia is easy for me.

Thoughts on ease of mongering compared to Colombia for a not Portuguese speaker. Thoughts on prices for girls compared to Medellin. Thoughts on safety and lodging prices also appreciated.

Anyone want to over advice?

Stick with what I know--or go for it to Brazil?

Thoughts on ease of mongering compared to Colombia for a not Portuguese speaker. Thoughts on prices for girls compared to Medellin. Thoughts on safety and lodging prices also appreciated. Some say Spanish fluency helps a bit. Others say no. Probably really depends on whether the girl you are speaking with has been exposed to a lot of Spanish. I do several weeks of Portuguese audio lessons to get grounded on the basics. It helps a lot. I feel like it's rude not to try. My friends who are bad with languages do fine in Brazil.

Sao Paulo is better for mongering than Rio, but Rio has plenty of girls and venues. Sao Paulo is a landlocked, megapolis. Rio is a beautiful, coastal city and a world-class tourist destination without mongering. Since you enjoy landlocked Medellin for mongering, I would expect that you will enjoy Sao Paulo. Most of us recommend doing both SP and Rio.

As far as prices, safety and lodging, with your over 300 posts you should know that you shouldn't just show up on a country forum here with a newbie "Hey, what's the deal? You need to read the Sao Paulo and Rio forums to figure out what works for you as far as the city, the neighborhood and the venues.

Stick with what I know--or go for it to Brazil?I've been to Colombia twice and I'm currently in Rio for the first time.

I doubt I'll ever return to Colombia again as Brazil is better in almost every way.

Comparing Rio to Medellin for example. Rio has way better food, better women (looks and definitely performance IMO), has more options for mongering, more diversity, has loads of beaches compared to none in Medellin, way more tourist activities and Rio is such a beautiful place.

The only thing I think Medellin has better off the top of my head is the malls.

This kind of cyber effect, for example.

I guess the issue had to do with Bolsonaro allegedly spreading fake news, but this is something that Russia just did. The $10,000 question is when does the internet and the ability to do global banking get impacted.

English and original translated from porto from google translate.

Brasilia— The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes revoked the decision that suspended the operation of Telegram in Brazil. He stated in an order, signed this Sunday, that the determinations imposed on the platform were fully complied with, which allows for the return of its operation.

Elections: Wikipedia becomes 'war camp' for editions of biographies of politicians.

Moraes ordered the subpoena of the president of the National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL), Wilson Diniz Wellisch, to adopt "immediately" all the necessary measures for the revocation of the measure. The suspension of Telegram was determined by Moraes on the 17th, given that the platform had failed to comply with the minister's determinations.

The suspension was lifted after Telegram deleted a message sent by President Jair Bolsonaro on his in-app channel containing links to a Federal Police (PF) investigation into a hacker's invasion of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) systems. The withdrawal of the post was one of the pending orders to be fulfilled by the application.

In place of the post, the information now appears that the post cannot be submitted because it violated local laws. President Jair Bolsonaro published the PF inquiry in full on his social media on August 4, which led to the opening of an investigation in the Supreme Court.

Throughout his tenure, even without evidence of fraud, the president attacked electronic voting machines, putting their safety in doubt. In the investigation in question, the Federal Police investigated the invasion of a criminal into the Court's systems. There is no evidence, however, that the hack has in any way compromised the electronic voting machines.

Blocking target: Know who are the Russian owners of Telegram.

At 2:45 pm this Sunday, Moraes' office received a message in which Telegram reported full compliance with the pending measures. In addition, the platform appointed a representative in Brazil, Alan Campos Elias Thomaz, as determined.

Telegram informed the STF that it has implemented several measures to minimize the publication of false messages and also a tool to restrict the ability of users involved in the dissemination of disinformation to create new profiles or post on existing channels, citing, by name, Bolsonarista blogger Allan dos Santos. .

"This measure allows us to reduce the risk of repeated violations, and we have already applied it to the authors of channels that were previously identified by the Justice as illegal in Brazil (such as Allan dos Santos)," Telegram said in the message, reproduced in Alexandre's decision. Moraes.

Publicity.

The platform also stated that, as it does not have an algorithmic feed that recommends posts to its users, since they only see the content they have subscribed to, a list of the 100 most popular Brazilian channels was compiled to be tracked daily by the app's team. In Brazil.

Divergence: Jurists discuss the Telegram block determined by Moraes.

"As these top 100 channels account for over 95% of all views of public Telegram messages in Brazil, we believe this measure will be impactful as it allows us to identify dangerous and deliberately false information on Telegram more efficiently," the platform said. To the Supreme.

Telegram also highlighted that it is establishing partnerships with fact-checking organizations in Brazil, such as Agência Lupa, Aos Fatos and Boatos. Org. The idea is to flag posts with inaccurate information, through a technical solution developed in the "last 24 hours", and also include links to full explanations of relevant facts compiled by fact-checking agencies.

Alexandre de Moraes also determined that companies such as Apple and Google in Brazil, telephone companies and internet servers, which were ordered to make the use of Telegram unfeasible, be summoned to remove the technological obstacles previously determined.

The agency suggests that the changes take effect from May 1. But the government, which is preparing a package of flexibilities to advertise that it has overcome the health crisis, may anticipate the new rules on border control. I fly into SP in 2 weeks. What I would really appreciate is for Uncle Joe to waive the Covid-19 test requirement for my return flight back to MIA. What are the odds of that happening in the next couple of months?

I think usd brl exchange was driven by COVID. Tourists are back. Raw materials including cheap sex is going back up in price.Senhor Vagabundo, You might just be right about reasons concerning the BRL's recent gains vs the usd in the today's current economic climate. It seems Covid's rise and fall has surely played a critical role in the exchange rate. The one thing that continues to baffle me is that other neighboring SA countries and their currencies have hardly been effected in the same sense. Colombia's COP has largely been unfazed by the performance of the usd as covid winds down and tourism continues to explode in cities like Medellin. The COP has hovered around the same exchange rate and has only fluctuated a tiny bit in recent times. Argentina's peso continues to lose ground against the dollar, almost daily. The Peruvian sol has been holding steady. All these countries were deeply effected by COVID too but I'm not seeing the dollar lose ground the same way it has in Brazil as tourist in all these countries has begun to flourish again. I can't help but think that there are other determining factors in play that better explain the BRL's I'm not an world economist and I'm hardly qualified to speak on this subject but I can't help noticing the currency trends of other SA countries in comparison to the BRL. Will the BRL continue to gain against the dollar? Only time will tell.

I don't give too much credence financial talking heads let alone social media prognosticators.

There are so many factors behind currency pairs that in the short-run a strong Dollar doesn't necessarily translate into a weak Real. Just eyeballing charts I would say the Real overshot on the downside during the COVID crisis as compared to some of its neighbors. The correction post-COVID has thus been more significant. This was likely from a fear that the crisis would impact Brazil harder and longer. The Argentine Peso has been on a linear decline as the country's fiscal and monetary policies are a mess.

I haven't checked on Brazil's trade performance in several years, but they have been a big exporter of commodities and raw materials.

I know someone mentioned tourists coming back. Tourists don't make a big enough impact on the currency of a large economy like Brazil. As been said by the locals here many a time, we foreigners also don't really impact the price of garotas.

I. e. Yesterday morning at the Marriott Executive Apartments, I woke up, patted my girl friend on the bum and told her to sleep a bit longer. That I had some paperwork to do. Put on a T shirt and briefs and used the phone on my camera to read the bar code on the emed package and initiate the test procedure. Approximately 20 minutes later I had my negative results which I uploaded to United and I am all set to go back to the USA.

It is approx $100 for 6 of the tests. Two of my coworkers also used them with the same results this month. Works any place you have cell service or WIFI.

The average price of air tickets in Brazil rose up to 62% from January to March this year, considering a round trip, according to a survey by Kayak, a company specializing in travel search. The surge is related to the increase in fuel prices and greater demand for travel after the relaxation of restrictions imposed during the pandemic. https://www1.folha.uol.com.br/mercado/2022/04/preco-da-passagem-aerea-dispara-em-2022-e-deve-continuar-subindo.shtml?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=comptw.

If you're looking to hobby and/or sightsee in multiple Brazilian cites, then this dovetails nicely with the question that was just asked in the Manaus thread, w/r to paying a nominal fee for an "airpass", for flying in Brazil and is it worth it.

AirPass Info Contact this one for specific information - https://www.brol.com/airpass

https://brazilianairlines.com/brazil-airpass

For those traveling to multiple Brazilian cities (perhaps 2 or more), a Brazilian airpass, might be of interest w/r to a great cost effective way to see other parts of Brazil and hobby as well. Note, these "airpasses" typically work better if you have at least 2-3 weeks of travel time.

BTW, some South American (SA) airlines offer a SA Airpass. So great possibilities and opportunities to hobby/sightsee in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Uruguay or Venezuela.

So for those BM looking to compare Brazil vs. Colombia (for example), the SA Airpss presents an interesting option to consider.

Hello!

Planning my first trip out of the US this summer, so far I've looked at Colombia, DR, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Now I'm thinking about Brazil. Just a couple general questions.

1. Would you recommend Brazil for someone who has never traveled abroad and never paid to play before? If yes, São Paulo or Rio and why?

2. About how much is 30 m-1 HR and over night?

3. I've noticed a lot of posters don't seem to like the 1-10 scale but if you wouldn't mind entertaining me, how would you rate the women in Colombia, Brazil, DR, CR, and Mexico. Or you could even rank the countries in whichever order you'd place them.

4. I just want to say thanks and sorry. I plan for late July early August and considering this will be a legit first time for me I really just want to have the best experience I can. Good food, good drinks, safe atmosphere, and beautiful 20 year old busty babes all over me! Pretty much every forum has been very helpful so far, even if it does just make my decision harder to make LOL.

As for a ratings, everyone's rating system is going to be very different and YMMV definitely based on your on preferences.

One option (if you haven't already), is to simply take a look at the myriad of P4P and Escort websites or YouTube videos of the women found in each of countries that you're interested in, which should give you some insight w/r to looks, that meet your "rating system".

Examples:

Brazil:https://garotasacompanhantes.com, https://www.photoacompanhantes.com, https://www.hotside.com.br , https://splove.com.br/acompanhante.

Brasil and Colombia have better looking women than the other countries on your list. Brasil is my favorite because the women's performance is the best (think PSE combined with GFE). But both are great destinations.

Brasil would be fine for you if you do some reading on this website (the Rio and SP threads several pages back). Rio and SP both have places where you can walk in and choose a girl and have a great time. If you have, say, eight days or more, I would do both cities. Do an open jaw ticket where you can fly into one and fly out of the other. If you like the beach, you'll want to spend more time in Rio. If you like a mega city (think NY but even much bigger), spend more time in SP. IMO Sao Paulo has the most beautiful women of any city in the World. But I actually enjoy Rio more cause it's a vacation city and it's spectacular. It's a city everyone should visit once in their life.

FWIW the termas in Rio might be ideal for you. You walk in, get a locker where you store your belongings, put on a robe and slippers, and walk into a club-type area where girls are walking around in (generally) high heels and bikinis. You can generally make out with and fondle the women -- sort of "test-drive" them before you make a choice. Pick which one (or ones) you like, go to a room, and do her. And no real negotiating is necessary, which is nice for a first-timer. You just get charged for entry, drinks you purchase, and the girl and the room.

The only thing about going to Brasil as a newbie is you might be spoiled for lots of other destinations.

Don't know where to put this question really, but since there are people here who have travelled a lot so; next trip to SA I'm planning to visit a few more counties.

Is it cheaper to book and pay a multi-stop flight ticket from home or to fly to one bigger destination, like Rio, and then search and book domestic flights when in respective country? Is thera a general rule here? I'm not bound to specific dates and travel from Europe.

In Brazil you want to go to Iguassu (and cross over to Argentine side of course too), and if you're interested in the jungle bypass Amazon and go to Pantanal IMO. Both places have some mongering to be done, including in Pantanal's Cuiaba and Corumba (don't know much about Campo Grande) but nothing compared to SP or Rio, or Curitiba for that matter too.

Salvador is another tourist destination not to be missed in Brazil but not necessarily for mongering purposes. If you only come for mongering you should stay in SP (the best mongering but really ugly city IMO), and maybe Rio (2nd best mongering but in truly gorgeous environment).

When I have made multi-country trips to South America from the United States, I will check on-line for the multi-stop flight tickets for a price reference. However as a general rule, it's usually cheaper to book the cross-continent flights separately then book the flights within South America with a regional carrier. You can start with Expedia, Travelocity, etc. But I always check the regional carrier's site as well.

I also think if you change or cancel an interregional flight it is easier if that is a separate booking.

He's also right when he says there are plenty of legit venues in Rio and SP where you simply walk in and you will be taken care of by the girl of your choice for a reasonable price. These venues are virtually newbie-proof and have experience serving foreigners.

I would also dive into a quick language course like Portuguese or Spanish in ten minutes day with both hearing and reading aspects. While learning some words and phrases is not a prerequisite, it helps in many situations. Uber also makes it easier to get around. You simply type your destination into the app. Some Tripadvisor or travel blog advice could help as well for travel basics, meals and non-mongering activities.

I've been to every country on your list except the DR. You will not find the variety and quantity of hot women that you will find in Rio and Sao Paulo. SP working girls are especially diverse. Brazilian working girls are also the best sexual performers on the planet.

Don't ask about prices. First, the two top destinations on your list Brazil and Colombia are not expensive. Second, it's a newbie faux pas to ignore reading the forum and jump to asking commonly-discussed topics. There are endless price discussions for each venue in each country's forum.

Finally if you go in late July, early August, take note that Sao Paulo will experience cooler weather. Rio and SP will both have shorter days than Colombia. I personally like Rio's beaches and its beach vibe, but due to the temperature and shorter days the daily window for the beach will be narrower than December-February.

$3000 is more than enough for 10 days. Even including lodging could be done. Though obviously if you want to stay in five star hotels and go to Scandallo every night, you'the spend more. While Scandallo is a must see, IMO one or maybe two nights is enough.

I've been to both Brasil and Colombia about 30 times each. Obviously I love both, but Brasil's always been my #1. The women are in a class of their own as far as performance.

My only concern for you is if you have to go in North America Summer. The days will be shorter then as it's their Winter. Think Miami in January. Pleasant weather but frequently not beach weather.

For USD 100, you should be able to have 2 30 minutes sessions in most clinicas, one session at 4 x4. The higher end boates are more expensive but you should be able to manage a few visits. A visit and a session in Scandallo will cost USD 300 total, more or less. There are cheaper places but it is not as easy for you to navigate.

You could do it, but then you're really going to have to monger on the cheap. Remember you still have to eat! Plus if you're like me you'll want to drink. Plus transportation and any incidentals. And we haven't even dealt with paying for a place to stay yet. As was suggested, you could probably swing it with the cost of an apartment or a cheaper hotel coming out of your $3 grand. But, you shouldn't look to pay for your airfare out of that too. And remember, airfares are projected to be going up! The best situation would be to pay for airfare and lodging with additional funds. Then you can really have a good time with $3 grand in "ground game" money. At the very least, save up enough extra to cover your airfare without having to take that out of the $3 grand. You won't regret it when you finally get down there. Believe me!

Colombia is cheaper and has more girls but depending on what you like it may take some work. Brazil is more diverse and with more variety. Food is much better too.

For USD 100, you should be able to have 2 30 minutes sessions in most clinicas, one session at 4 x4. The higher end boates are more expensive but you should be able to manage a few visits. A visit and a session in Scandallo will cost USD 300 total, more or less. There are cheaper places but it is not as easy for you to navigate.Food is actually a pretty big selling point and you're not the first I've heard mention it. Is the food in Colombia actually bad?

I'm also quite a bit more interested in having a girl in the hotel room as opposed to a club, especially interested in overnight. Not that I won't try the clubs! I just might be a bit shy for it at first hahaha.

Can anyone who visited recently confirm this detail? All of that shit is about to be null and void.

There are good Peruvian, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, etc restaurants and generally quite inexpensive.

Back to what you'll spend, Rio and Medellin will be about the same other than the flight, which (from the USA) will be more for Rio. Sao Paulo can be more expensive, though it doesn't have to be (Clinicas can be fantastic w / o spending much). But most people want to check out the boates like Scandallo, Bomboa, etc. And that can get expensive, though they are spectacular.

There are more choices if you stay in the gentrified areas but I think it is significantly more expensive, relatively to local.

If you prefer to invite girl to your room. Medellin will be much cheaper and has more girls but it takes preparation.

Airlines don't mention it at all when booking or in the countless emails they send after. Even the US Trav Gov site doesn't mention this. Anyways, if you book a joint country trip life me, plan accordingly. You need to have your Yellow Fever shot done 10 days before you would need to use that card to enter / exit another country with restrictions.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between a Favela and a Comunidade?Favela is a generic, general, informal term. It is like in the USA saying hood or ghetto. Comunidade would usually be in reference to a specific neighborhood or community.

In the USA this would be like saying The Cabrini-Green Housing Development. You would not formally call it Cabrini-Green Ghetto or Cabrini-Green Hood or Cabrini-Green Favela. You would call it Comunidade Cabrini-Green or Cabrini-Green Community.

Are all comunidades actually favelas? I kind of took it as some type of community action group that is actively trying to improve life in a community. From what I understand the difference is in the set-up. Favela is usually an isolated neighborhood on top of some hill or something and has houses very close together, if not on top of one another. Comunidade on the other hand is just another neighborhood of the city, has buildings next to one another, has many large apartment buildings. Kind of a hill (favela) vs. The flat surface (comunidade). The two contain mostly people of similar socioeconomic class, I. E. The poor. Other than that from what I understand it's the same thing.

If you're flying from the US to Philippines you don't need yellow fever card but if you're flying from Africa to Philippines you do. Same in your case, it depends on your country of origin. To board a flight from Brazil to Dominican Republic you're required a yellow fever card also.

But you're right, the airlines might not tell you until the minute they're denying you check in. And for US citizens, it's not mentioned on the embassy entry / exit requirement page because they assume US is the country of origin. Probably same with Europe too.

The landlord at my ap in Transamerica is increasing rent 10% from 3200 to 3500 (including 5 g WIFI), but it's not a big deal for me. I am looking around at the other condos in Barra, though.

Yesterday I went to Barra First Class. No bus to centro, but a much better gym. Further out in Barra, near Outback steak house.

I also walked around Novo Leblon which is a top shelf condo, pool open from 6 AM to 22 h, judo and jiu jitsu. But really environment is frankly, whites only. Not a mulatta much less black person in sight in the community gym and restaurant. Very secure. Might as well be in Orange County, California or Lucerne, Switzerland. There appear to be buses at Novo Leblon which run even at 20 h30 at night.

The way to go I think is to find a realtor at Remax or other mobiliara realtor.

I will keep posted about these housing options in Barra.

This is a minor setback. I liked to live in an AirBnB in order to order food from time to time.

The food delivery app cornering the market in Brazil is Ifood and it requires a CPF to register. It can be set up with Google Pay but I don't even know if I can use Google pay with my European credit card. Anyway I don't want to find out since I am not using my main Google account on the smartphone I'm moving around with in SP as the risk of the phone being stolen is high.

A warning about cash: money changers are closed not only on Sunday but also on Saturday. The only way to get cash over the week-end is from ATMs (but banks are also closed and I'm reluctant to use them outside banking business hours in case my card remains stuck).

Wasted plane ticket down the drain!

Does anybody know if there are any other South American countries, like Colombia, that require or "sometimes require" yellow fever certificates when traveling by air from Brazil? Does Argentina require yellow vax? How about Bolivia? I'm thinking of traveling to these countries during my next jaunt down to South America. It would suck to by plane tickets and then be denied boarding because I don't have a yellow fever certificate.

When I tried the GOL website on my MacBook I got stuck because it returned a message error. When I tried the GOL mobile website I got stuck because there was no "passport number" (only a "CPF number" option).

So I tried the LATAM website in Brazil. Everything went fine until I wanted to register my credit card. It asked for my credit card data and a CPF number (mandatory field, no "passport number" option).

I assumed what they wanted was for foreigners to use their European or US website, so I tried the German website. After all, little did it matter where the ticket came from (except the Brazilians might wash their hands of any issue like rescheduling and tell me to direct my enquiry to Germany). But lo and behold, the price for the same ticket on the LATAM German website was three times as high as the Brazilian price. Dual pricing through the back door.

I'll give the cash to the garota and she'll do the bookings at the Brazilian price for us both, but I don't like this as it involves giving her my personal data.

The whole purpose was not to pay foreigner price for the ticket. In other words he wanted to save money. He got around this by having a local purchase the ticket online.

Had he bought the ticket online himself without a CPF, he would have paid the foreigner price. Had he gone to the ticket office he would have had to pay for transportation to and from, in-person surcharge, and he would have still been paying the foreigner price because he did not have a CPF!

Hi guys,

So I arrived in Rio few days ago.

Its my first time here. I'm from Germany, Little bit Spanish knowledge, but no Porto. So let me tell some first impressions:

The first 2 days I just did the typical sightseeing (Sugar Loaf, Christo de Redeemer, Fort Copacabana. Etc.

I had my apartment at Copacabana booked via Booking com, large 1 bed room for low price, what I think is so, because of low season (9 days per day 20 $).

Tuesday I checked the typical spots, which have been here spoken, often: Mabs, Kalabria, Dolce Vita.

Started at 10:00 pm At at Mabs. With the passage of time more and more girls showed around, about 5 girls from beginning till 7 girls when I left.

Checked kalbria around at midnight, about 6-7 Girls there.

And looked at Dolce Vita at 0:30 ,which was already well visited with some foreign guys and plenty 10 girls. T.

There I had a eye on a slim tall dark skinned chick, named Ravena, agreed for 2 hours, 1000 Reais, and we left at 2 am.

It was good session, no time pressure, she was kind, enjoyed the time, too.

Wednesday wanted have termas day, Started with centarus at 7 pm.

Entry 140 Reais, About 7 girls when I entered and maybe 10 when I left at 9:30 pm.

Some girls was little bit to aggressive for my taste. Some looked not much interested.

Did not find a chick for my taste, so headed to next ome: Solarium at 10 pm.

Entry 120 Reais when you pay cash, 150 Reais which card.

Prices 40 minutes: 340 for girl + 150 for the room.

Prices 1 hour: 480 for girl +150 for the room.

They are opening very early at 2 pm And bar closing already about 0:30, this was the time what I was told.

Latest to pick up girl and a hour at room. I had here a nice 1 hour session with Candy, tall slim girl with cute beauty face, good service.

On Thursday I tried social media out (Tinder, Seeking, Travefriend.)

No chance at Tinder, but the others if you have a premium membership often helps me to meet girls at my destinations when I travel.

At seeking I met a young fresh 22 year old girl at 7 pm, named Jennifer, little bit shy, new to business, wanted 600 are for 2-3 hours.

So we had some food at Bicus and continued with Champagner with no time presure, relaxed atmosphere at my apartment.

Overall the information with termas and the spots (Mabs, Dolce Vita, Kalabria) at Copacabana here helped me a lot, and I had a good start here.

Now, as weekend starting, I will try out some clubs at Centro or Lapa, Zone morth.

Mosaico was recommended here many times. Just struggling to find more information on internet.

I guess its on are. Hilário Ribeiro, 243, next to Villa Mimosa.

So I guess I will start the evening at some bars at Lapa, then head to VM and later Mosaico after 0 pm.

Maybe you have some better advice for Friday, Saturday clubs scene.

Will let you guys know, how my impressions have been.

We've all noticed the late volatility of the exchange rate. I believe it got as low as 4.65 just a few short months ago. Let's hope the trend continues with the BRL losing ground against the usd. Hi Gentlemen,

Just to mention this year is elections for president and congress men in Brasil. The favorite to win is leftist PT (Partido dos Trabalhadores) com Lula heading.

Feminist groups and LGTBQI++++ are not so strong in Brasil but working 24/7. At the moment, they are not as strong as in Argentina, where even Bikini Contests are forbidden. Beautiful promotional models at events are almost history, now they must wear very conservative uniforms. There will be tax reforms in Brasil and they may have strong impact on local economy. Good or bad? I don't now, 2022 world is very different from the 2010.2010 the exchange rate was crazy high are $1.8 = 1 USD.

Also, during the PT in government from 2002 to 2018, the party and wild sex did not stop. I know from very close friends, that many PT politicians closed their deals in night clubs. Yes, wild sex to close big deals with government and private companies.

If the right party with Bolsonaro wins, with very little chances being July 2022, the party will go on.

But keep an eye on feminists, they are getting super strong in Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. And paving their way to Brasil. In Spain, leftists want to declare prostitution illegal activity.

Together attached a picture of Lula with feminist leaders.

Thanks for the good information on exchange rates and money policies.

Brazil was the first country of South America to join the allies during WWII. Their armed forces have long strong relations with occident countries. Only strong industry, including car, aerospace and now nuclear subs, keep them away from not western countries. They are so strong, that they had the political strength to impeach Dilma Roussef in 2016. So, the next years will be very important for this balance. Hope it's not broken.

Thanks for your insights!

Public Defender's Office reports at least 20; report witnessed seven people being carried away on sheets or towels in the community.

The Military Police and the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro confirmed at least 18 dead in an operation carried out in Complexo do Alemo, in the north of Rio de Janeiro, this Thursday (21). The action lasted about 12 hours with intense shootings, ending around 17:00.

Representatives of the corporations stated, in an interview with journalists, that this is a partial balance. The bodies are still being identified by the Civil Police. Among the victims is a 50-year-old woman who was driving through the region with her boyfriend.

Considering the count so far, the operation is the fifth deadliest in the history of Rio de Janeiro, according to a survey by Geni (Grupo de Estudos dos Novos Ilegalismos) at UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense). https://www1.folha.uol.com.br/cotidiano/2022/07/policias-militar-e-civil-fazem-operacao-no-complexo-do-alemao-no-rio.shtml?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=comptw.

Rio police raid kills at least 18 in Alemao favelas. The exact toll remains unclear. So far the count is currently identified as being 15-criminals, 2-innocent bystanders and 1-police officer.

Yet more innocent Rio residents dying at the heavy-handed tactics of the police, as they kill with impunity.

Black man in boot of Brazil police car, in Umbauba (in the northeastern state of Sergipe), dies of asphyxiation after being trapped by officers in the back of the smoke-filled car.

Genivaldo de Jesus Santos, the 38-year-old handcuffed black man described by his family as suffering from schizophrenia can be heard screaming and his legs, which stick out of the vehicle, kick for a time, until they eventually stop moving.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/5/27/brazil-video-of-black-man-asphyxiated-in-police-car-draws-fury

The incident comes just days after officers of the highway police participated in an operation in Rio de Janeiro that left more than 20 people dead.

Many comment that, this is a "George Floyd" style killing, and is an everyday occurrence in Brazil, at the hands of a racist, discriminatory and brutal corrupt Brazilian police force.

This is not a race thing. This is a people thing. Was it racist when Polpot did it to his own people in Cambodia? Was it racist when Stalin did it to his people in Russia? What was it when Amin did it to his own people in Uganda? Was it racist when these Thai cops recently did it to other Thais?

"A former Thai police chief has been sentenced to life in jail after being found guilty of murder by torture, in a case that sparked national outrage over police brutality. "

Yeah, pretty wacky take!

Albeit, misguided and misplaced. BTW, you being from the US, you'd have been better served to provide us with an example from the US, if there is one... oh, right, George Floyd and countless others.

The tens of thousands, that protested across Brazil, in the wake of this incident (and the other massacre in Rio at the time), would say otherwise! They were protesting the racist and discriminatory police brutality, killings (with impunity) and murders, that are disproportionately levied and targeted, against them, over and over again, simply because of where they live or the color of the their skin.

Sounds like your misguided opinion is saying they (the Brazilians Protestors and favela residents) don't know jack about what their protesting, are full of shit, and are simply imagining these targeted attacks on "blacks" and "favela residents", by police.

I reported the story of them saying what they're saying. I for one, have no reason to not to believe them. The disproportionate numbers also backup and testify to what the protestors are saying.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wlvJzcxYNY

Notwithstanding your political gymnastics or wacky spin, to frame this in a different light, the protestors speaking to their cause, tell you exactly what they thought and what they're fighting for...if you care to listen.

Albeit, misguided and misplaced. BTW, you being from the US, you'd have been better served to provide us with an example from the US, if there is one... oh, right, George Floyd and countless others.Huh? You totally missed my point. And on purpose it seems. The point is this is hardly about race because it also happens in places where the entire population is homogeneous. You guys act like mfs in the Congo, where everyone is the same, are not doing the same thing to each other. Sure it is racial in some cases, but in the vast majority it is not. People tend to skip over the cases where a cop does it to a suspect of the same race as if it is only happening when the race of the 2 people or groups of people is different. That is just plain disingenuous.

So yeaaa a crack head that did a violent home invasion on a pregnant woman (Between 1997 and 2005, he was convicted of eight crimes. He served four years in prison after accepting a plea bargain for a 2007 aggravated robbery in a home invasion.) can now be held as your hero. He left some big shoes to fill. People need to raise their kids to be more like George Floyd.

And in Minnesota the other day prostestors were out because the cops killed another dumb mf that was shooting through the walls of an apartment building almost killing a woman and her kids. The lady ran out and confronted the protesters asking if they were fucking stupid feeling sorry for this guy. Then if the lady and her kids would have gotten killed the same dumb mfs would have been protesting that the cops were not there or did nothing the same as they are doing in Uvalde. Can't fucking win with these folks.

I have a gun for everyday of the month and have carried one in the States everyday for the last 29 years and no cops have ever stopped me harassing me or beat me or killed me. I am definitely Black, so it must be because I am not out doing dumb shit. Instead of teaching your kids that someone is out to get them, how about teaching them not to be out doing dumb shit.

Is this where we're at now, "The Congo"....really? And you wonder why I say wacky.

57% of Brazilians are Black or mixed, but they make up 80% of the people killed by police.

Not true, totally false information! We are taking about Brazilian police brutality, dude. NOT the Congo! LOL. Yet you first mentioned George Floyd. Was he Brazilian?

Sure different groups of people do stupid shit everyday. However, it seems only certain groups of people get killed for it, even when following orders,Sorry dude. I did not read the article. But I will take your word that a bunch of random Black dudes are walking down the favela minding their own business and the police picks them up and kills them frequently.

LOL. Yet you first mentioned George Floyd. Was he Brazilian? If you care to re-read the posts and understand them appropriately, you will note, George Floyd's name came up because he is mention by a protester, to reference the same style of killing that was being exacted upon Genivaldo de Jesus Santos. Hence the connection, hence the reasons to report the police brutality.

Nobody mentioned, The Congo!

But go ahead and deflect all you want, when you can't produce said evidence, to backup your so called "vast majority". Still waiting for that information... Tick-Tock!

The actual data on the subject, says otherwise.

Half of the Brazilian population have darker skin colour. They make up 62% of the prison population and 78% of those killed by Brazilian police. Considering they make up the majority of the criminals it's not surprising they are also in the majority of those being killed by police.

I've never been robbed in Brazil, but I witnesses many robberies, I can't recall I've seen more than a few lightskinned perpetrators. It could be because the light skinned perpetrators do other types of crimes. Crimes that doesn't end up in shooting when they get caught. The crime gangs in the favelas are mostly made up of darker guys. When police attack those gangs there is a lot of shooting, and a lot of those guys die.

Some of them ought to shot. After all, a lot of them are the same ones ordering that those in the favelas be.
