My experience with Karla Models is that the women are not as attractive as they look in the book and not as attractive as hand selctions from Help. However, many are as attractive as the 6-7s now in most of the termases.

There are literally tons of pictures here on this site and other sites out there as well. If you like the way women from Brazil look, then there is no question you should get your heiney there as soon as you can. I have been reading about Rio for many years now. Watched a lot of Buttman movies as well. Seen a lot of pictures of women from Rio. I liked what I saw. I really had no desire to go anywhere else. I am not into Asian women so Thailand is not for me. Germany seems to have places similar to Rio and that is a place I would like to visit someday. I have read alot about Costa Rica and the DR as well as other countries. For some reason I was always drawn back to Rio. Finally after many years of reading about Rio, thinking about Rio, watching movies about women from Rio, and jerking off to thoughts of Rio, I finally did something about and went there. I only have one regret. I should have been down here much sooner.

If you can conquer the beast, then the other little mini-beast (DR, CR) with seem like a walk in the park.

Hey, that doesn't sound like too bad of an idea. But no use in putting the cart before the horse. I'll at least make the trip down their first, LOL.
I know this is the wrong place to post this. I have been all over the world, let's say over 30 countries in 4 continents. So as far as traveling I was seasoned. However, my first true mongering trip was to Brazil and I've never regreted it. If you go, here is what got me through when I went. It was really effortless:
1. As many mongers will tell you, read the forum. A lot of your questions will be answered, no question about it. A good rule of thumb, is to read at least 6 to 8 of the most recent months before you leave.
2. Print Sperto's map and rating scales. I wish we had that information when I first made it. It is like the yellow pages. It is a great addition to the board.
3. Print, read and carry Bubba's guide. It is a walk in the part carrying that much knowledge about the settings of the places to visit.
4. Make a list of the termas you want to visit and cross them off as you visit each place. They provide you the most bang for the buck and you will definetily repeat those that are your cup of tea. You will see, trust me.
5. Stay in a hotel. Yes, apartments provide the best value, but if it is your first trip, there is nothing like a hotel. their staff (Doorman, etc.) can provide valuable information.
6. Get familiar with the Metro system. It is easy and will save you a bundle from the overcharging taxi drivers. (Most of them love to take advantage of tourists)
You will make a lot of mistakes when you get there. But, if you stick to a routine of visiting the major termas (Lluomos, Monte Carlo, Solarium, 4 X 4, and so on), you will have a lot to talk about. Avoid Centaurus at all cost, that is a craphole that will discourage you from returning to Rio. Have fun and I look forward to your reports.

Not all girls will let you take pics. I don't use 4x4 as often as many here but have found more than half the girls let me take pics, same as in the cheap joints. Firstly, I wouldn't walk around RJ much with anything bulky that can't be hidden. But in the posh termas I carry a small zip bag that contains mints, my preferred brand of condoms, a tiny notebook and tiny pen, and a very small camera such as the cybershot. I always wait till almost the end of the session till (hopefully) I have convinced them I'm Mr NiceGuy, and then I get the camera out furtively, as if taking out a spliff as you ask if there are cops around, and ask very politely if I may have a picture. Either that or ask before I get the camera out. Now if you make it clear by your body language and so on that you are not the sort of guy that takes undercover photos (assuming you're not) then it is unlikely that they will think they want to shop you. Once she says yes, I judge how 'much' - some don't want face shots etc but some are happy to show you and your digital pal their assets. I think the main time you will get aggro is if you 'act like an American'* - loud voice, assertive, dominating etc. Do the 'new man' bit. Or use slightly gay mannerisms (same thing lol). I always promise (and deliver) the girl a copy of the photo if I'm likely to see her again, even if I don't do her a second time.
This is just my way. Others might be more brash. You just find out what works for you. And my apologies if I've stated the obvious. I assume you are maybe a bit new to RJ - when even simple things can sometimes seem quite momentous.
* this is in quotes to emphasise a stereotypical interpersonal manner, one that is polite in America but less so in many other countries. It's a comment on the inapropriateness of that particular approach, an approach that is common to Americans. No offence intended. As you can see, I put the phrase in inverted commas to indicate the stereotype caricatured by non-Americans worldwide and added clarification on what was meant. Most of the wonderful Americans I have met thru the Board have been softly spoken and respectful to locals. Although the loud-spoken and dominant American did used to annoy me (as it annoys most Brasilians and Thais for instance), I know see it as a cultural etiquette thing rather than being right or wrong.

What I want to know is who is shooting the pics? Not the easiest thing to capture an action photo of your own butt! Is it like when you are out on the beach with a friend and ask someone to take a photo of you? Do you call down to the doorman or reception and ask if they would mind taking a few photos of you and your favorite?

I don't have a problem wih the actionphotos - I actually like them, but I must say that posting that include dressed pictures, adds to the value.
Then you got the dressed, undressed and actionphotos in one post - almost like a story. And very informative if you would like to hook up with that particular girl (a thermagirl for example).
