6 nights of Bliss in Costa Rica and Panama.
Costa Rica:
Day 1:
Landed on a Wednesday around 9 PM in SJO. Immigration and customs took around one hour since an United, Copa and Delta flight landed at same time. Picked up a couple of drinks for myself and the expected girls from CR duty free. He bring me at station I bough bus ticket for 4300 colones to san jose it takes 4. 5 hours from Liberia to reach san jose. Arrived 7 pm walk from station couple hundred metres and check in at hotel milan for 17 k colones per night. Hotel is nice everything is brand new but the walls is very thin you can heard people talking at other rooms and its a sketchy area at night. Probably I search for other budget hotel next day.
Was tired after long 11 hours flight and bus journey to san jose but decided to check out some places anyway and fuck some girls. I start from tica places instead of foreigners clubs and bars. Take a uber and check malibu bar at 22.00 pm saw few ugly girls inside so left when walk on the street saw couple ugly freelancers one of them try to talk with me but I just walk away.

Just got back last week. I learned the rainy season is not so bad. Or maybe I was lucky. When you look online it shows thunderstorms everyday 100%. But, it might have rained maybe twice a day for maybe 30 minutes to an hour. Then it was bright and sunny. Now are far as the girls from please try to not over pay. I feel the usual at Delray is $80 to $100 max. And that includes the tip. The line up was some good, and some not so good. But, I think you should be able to find someone to play with.
But, there are 2 things that are terrible. I feel the owner of Delray, who I was told owns the del Mar. Restaurant and key largo is crazy. I will explain. And now the last think which is the craziest thing I could imagine. Delray is ground zero for seeing women to keep us company, LOL.

This has to be the dumbest think I have ever heard of. The only reason people go to Delray is to see the women. If he kicks out the women, the men will go also. Rauld.You can walk out of airport 100-150 metres next to the bus stop and take bus to the city or catch uber at same place also.
I don't think you need take taxi to dennys or some other place an call uber after.

I was in San Jose last April. Sportsman and Del Rey are within walking distance of each other.
The women at Sportsman are far less aggressive than Del Rey. Sportsman does not charge for taking any woman you find back to your room. Sportsman does have a list of trouble makers that they will not allow in hotel. Safety first!

Taking the red taxis is fast, affordable and well defined aka safe.
Cheap rental car is $50 a day, plus parking at $2 HR.
No way you can spend that on cab rides.
Buses are also fast, safe and dirt cheap at approx 60 cents.
Car Rental companies in the city, so if you want to drive somewhere, renting a car for one or two days should be very easy.

I was having hernia surgery but had a few days to kill before so I stayed at the Morazan Hotel and Casio next to the Del Rey. The hotel was about $50 a night including breakfast with no guest charge for 1 guest per day. They would also call the room to ask if everything was OK when they gave her the ID back at the front desk. Reminded me of Thailand actually. I went to the Del Rey every night out of convenience and there was a decent variety. The average price was $80 USD but there were some stunners up to $120. Had a blonde that was a little chubby for me (I lived in Asia for many years) but she was amazing and had pretty good English (I think she had lived in Canada for a while). Booked her for the following afternoon for a little prostate massage / blowjob and was not disappointed. She charged me $150 but was there for about an hour and a half and clearly knew what she was doing. I have her what's app if anyone is interested.

Overall: The Del Rey was fine, a pushy girl here or there but no big deal. If you pick the Morazan hotel, choose an inside room because the street noise can be annoying. Change your money upstairs at BCR in the airport terminal to get the best rate, otherwise at BCR ATM's, BofA charged me a $5 fee for withdrawals (which is nothing). I didn't get a SIM for my phone at the airport from Kolbi which I should have but found an outlet later. The Google conversation translate really likes to have internet to work well, by the way it's awesome. I took Ubers with no problem but at the airport it's best to move to an area away from the taxis, I went to departures to request one and when the car arrives you need to sit in the front so it doesn't look like an Uber (taxi drivers are not happy about the Uber situation). I did take a taxi to a hospital and an Uber back and it was half the cost of a taxi.
Overall the trip was awesome!

Quick San Jose Trip Report.
Recently, I did a quick 4-day trip to San Jose. For the first time in all of my visits to Costa Rica, I stayed outside of the famous "gulch," which is the area around the Hotel Del Rey (HDR) and Sportsmen Lodge (SL). I rented an Airbnb in the Rohrmorser Area, an upscale type of area northwest of Sabana Park. This was one of the best lofts that I have rented in a while and the view from the balcony was outstanding (see pics). The building name is "QBO Skyhomes. " My unit was on the 19th floor. Extremely girl-friendly too (absolutely ZERO issues with bringing chicas back and I mean ZERO! The chicas loved it.

You can stay at sleep inn. But, if you can book individual days with you plus a guest. You can even try you plus 2 guest. But, I think they stopped that.

The Morazan is kind of dumpy but not a total dump. It's much cheaper than the Taormina though and a very very short walk to the Del Rey.
The Taormina requires a taxi, is $25-35 more a night but if I were going where someone from my business might find out where I'm staying I'd go with the more upscale Taormina.
I personally won't go to the Taormina again because it's too expensive and you don't really get that much more for what you pay. Basically it's nicer but it's also further away, and not that much quieter. Depending on the location of your room. To me it's not worth $25 or more extra per night but if money were no object I'd stay there. They have a nice breakfast buffet but it's only included when you stay in certain rooms, not all rooms, so you have to ask or else pay like $12 or more extra fee for a buffet breakfast.
The Morazan has a free breakfast for everyone; again not as nice but the food is okay. The Taormina's bfast if much better.

For the first time in all of my visits to Costa Rica, I stayed outside of the famous "gulch," which is the area around the Hotel Del Rey (HDR) and Sportsmen Lodge (SL). I rented an Airbnb in the Rohrmorser Area, an upscale type of area northwest of Sabana Park. This was one of the best lofts that I have rented in a while and the view from the balcony was outstanding (see pics). The building name is "QBO Skyhomes. " My unit was on the 19th floor. For sure, though, if one wants volume / quantity the Del Rey is the only game in town.The ladies hang out in the bar area, obviously. Definitely hit or miss. Monica's is a hole in the wall and in a fairly dangerous part of San Jose. It has it's fans and that's all well and good but personally I wouldn't waste my time looking for it if I were you.

Key Largo is closed, all the action is at the Del Rey. There is Sportsmen's Lodge but frankly I don't care for it; I seldom see anyone there that I want to take back to my room. Maybe I'm just too picky. But I always find someone at the DR. Plus I hate the super loud music at the SL.
Numbers are down quite a bit at certain times of year and generally down from what they were years ago. BUT you can still find some really great girls at the Del Rey. It's a numbers game, and if you don't see what you want don't get in too big of a hurry because often many more come in at 11 pm or 12 am.
If SW means street walkers, the only ones I've seen the last few years (when I'm going somewhere by taxi; I'm not looking for them!) are transsexuals just down the hill from the Del Rey, between the Del Rey and the Sportsman's lodge. Otherwise I don't know if there are any hetero streetwalkers.
My sense of it is that in every city nowadays, the streetwalkers are drug addicts for the most part. I would avoid that whole scene. Dangerous in more ways than one. And in general, San Jose has gotten more dangerous than it used to be, at night. In the day it's not too bad, just watch for pickpockets. But at night it's best not to walk around or hang in the worst of areas (like the old redlight district south west of Gringo Gulch, for example. Read my detailed posts going back 5 years. Trust me Eurostar's is open and great value, convenient, clean, free breakfast buffet and most important very close to Habanos. I stayed Oct 23rd-27th. Great time. World Series on in the casino bar along w College football and NBA. Habanos packed every night w juicy nuggets from all over So America. First Visit to Costa Rica. It was slow because of Christmas but I had a blast. I Stayed at Del Rey. Thanks to this Forum for the guidance. I would just like to add few more tips (Some for if you Stay at Del Rey).
- Do not change your currency at the Airport. Del Rey has better rate (You can convert at Casinos) plus the Bank is literally in One block which has slightly better rate. I made the mistake changing in Airport.
- Take Uber from Upstairs (departure) . Its cheaper.
- Do not pay for drink in Dollar. They will give you change in colnes. Use colnes everywhere.
- Negotiate Chica in colnes not in Dollar. You will pay more if you pay in Dollar.
- From Morning till 2 pm you can even get a chica for between 25 mil-30 mil. Afternoon, evening Max I paid 35 mil (Roughly $61). They will always ask you $100. Sit with them buy a drink. Talk about them and their family then negotiate.
- Lot of these girls take a long bus ride (one mentioned took 6 hours bus ride to make some money here) and some are relatively new and shy. They usually sit in Casinos. I had better luck with them then the one always in the bar and very talkative. What I found they ones talks too much are very professional and clock watcher (Just my personal opinion).
- Lot of these girls understand basic English and some not at all. My Spanish is horrible. Download google Translate.
- Be Specific what you want and make sure they understand.

I arrived at the Del Ray early evening on a Friday. It was quite the experience. Lots of attractive women and a few not so attractive. Bottom line is they will take $6 o - 70 US for full service fun. I did enjoy it more during the early morning hours, when it was a quieter time.

I returned to San Jose after about 10 years. I was over in SJ over Christmas '19 for a large part of the 2 week holiday. Going to 'casa'/ brothels was super easy. I think I paid around 15 k CRC for 30 minutes simple sex. There were often specials like 2 for 1, 2 for 20 k CRC. There were also cheaper places but 15 k CRC was the right price point for hot and cheap. In CR, I believe the brothel is simply a place where independent escorts come to sell their wares - the brothel has no control over those women. I never felt pushed nor rushed. I always book my room for two guest (though it's just me), but have brought 2 ladies up at the same time without an issue. The bar is right by the elevators. It's not an all day affair though (or that big). In my experience, girls usually show up around 8 and are usually around til 12/1 am. I think the bar closes around 2/3 and you can sometimes find one or two ladies hanging around til then. I get your point and it's fair. But all I can do is report back given the trip / experience I had.
Should have mentioned I spent 3 nights in hdr, didn't pull anyone first night. Passed by sportsman lodge, wasn't a fan and checked a pension but quality was low. I guess I don't want to regurgitate same old answers and given I don't like MP.
Scene wanted to provide a different perspective.
I did my research before I went and have mongered around the world so I'm not new to the scene. As I said first impressions of San Jose are if it's the option you have then there are worse places but there is better in region.

Welcome to my struggles. The only and rather pathetic (but you can get a workout just don't try their treadmill from the 1950's upstairs) is called 'City Sports Centers' Gym. Two blocks walk from Taormina. Search for Al Masri restaurant, the gym is across the street from it on the corner. I think I paid $5 per day for use during my stay. It is diagonally located from Hotel Santo Tomas in case you have problem finding it. There is no water in the gym for drinking so take your own. No AC and two or three wall fans with signs 'NO TOCAR'. The lady who owns speaks English and is nice. The neanderthal that's at reception and is apparently a trainer from a bad Rocky movie -watch out for him. There is NO other options for gym in many miles around Barrio Amon. Trust me I checked.

I've been taking spanish lessons online on Skype with a hot colombian spanish teacher for about the last 3 months, and it has done wonders in Latin America! Can hold a real conversation. Who are already there are having no problems. MPs are open and there are plenty of independents working and in need of $. Bars open at 50% capacity Friday, and that may include the Del Rey. That said since your boots aren't already on the ground it's doubtful that they will be for a long time. I'the put your chance for July at slim to none at best. Investigate Mexico if you can't hold off on trips.

That applies to the central valley and several other parts of the country. Someone mentioned the HDR and my understanding is that it is closed for good to the type of business it hosted in the past.
And although some tourism may open on August 1st it is almost certainly not going to open to the US. They have said only countries with the spread of the virus under control, and specifically mentioned Europe and Canada, but that has not been officially announced. And it may change as the country is getting hit hard with increasing cases.

Starting September 1° only citizens from the following 6 States will be allowed in Costa Rica (due to those States having good control over the pandemic):
New York.
New Jersey.
New Hampshire.
Maine.
Vermont.
Connecticut.
The rules to follow in order to come to see. Are according to the Minister of Tourism are:
1■ Fill up the "pase de salud" form on the web.
2 ■ Take a PCR covid test 48 hours prior to your flight.
3■ Buy a trip insurance (to cover possible hotel expenses and hospital expenses in case of getting covid while you are in see. R).
4■ Present driver license from any of the 6 States allowed in.
5■ Colorado, Massachusetts & Pennsylvania citizens might be allowed September 20.
Common sense rules: make a reservation for two if you are planing to bring a chica from cr. skokka.com to your hotel.
That way they can't mess up your night.
The hotels in Costa Rica are working at 100% capacity, and 50% capacity in common areas such as the pool, restaurant area and bar area.
So don't let them give you any BS if you have companion with you.

They were there 24/7.From the people I've talked to on the ground and at Sportsmen's Lodge, it looks like del Rey is done. There have been plenty of rumors about it being sold and being converted to be more family-friendly and from what I've heard from people on the ground, it sounds like it's true. HDR's website has been under maintenance now for awhile as well. I think the safe assumption would be that the girls are going to be flocking either to Jaco or to Sportsmen's (when it opens). Speaking of which, the staff at Sportsmen's still don't know when exactly they're going to open. They have stated they're shooting for mid-October, but apparently it's dependent on how many more US states are given the green light to have their residents travel to CR.
Cocal is open and apparently they're getting more and more girls. My man on the ground has said that on the weekend it's been around 50 girls at Cocal and a lot more walking around the other bars in the area as well.

Just received an email from Sportsmen's Lodge and they will be reopening on Oct 15. With HDR turning family-friendly, it looks like Sportsmen's will become the new main hangout spot for the indy ticas.
Also been hearing that more and more girls are coming to Jaco's Cocal as well.

Sportsmans is open, but only part of the bar, only for restaurant service is my understanding. And HDR not, and there is no reason to believe that it will be as it was before. Lots of credible reports that it is being renovated and will not be anything like it was if / when it re-opens.
The rumor of HDR going "family" friendly has been out there for years. What families are they going to attract, LOL. I don't buy it.Hotel Presidente the go to hotel did succeed in making it family friendly with dress code, no visitors policy. Although it did not have a bar like BM. Rooms were nice if you selected executive suite. Chicas were allowed with sign in. Ostensibly one at a time but I have sneaked in two one at a time. When they changed their rules everybody wondered if they will survive in a red light district.
But the charm in gringo gulch is the walking street and downtown feel.
HDR and the next door disco have come down from their heydays. Used to have real beauties from many countries. Then the government cracked down on foreigners. After that you could find only fuglies with very few passable ones. However casino, restaurant and bar were doing decent business as well as hotel with it's chica charge. Most good looking girls moved to Jaco. Now Jaco is the go to place although gems can be found at idem like places and much cheaper. Service was good for ST.
Never went to sportmen so cannot comment.
For our hobby chica friendly hotels is a must.
I will be going down to San Jose a week from today. I am surprised that there are no boots on grounds reports so far. I will post when I get there and give you guys a current lay of the land. So to speak. To clarify a previous post. At one time Hotel Presidente was indeed the go to place to stay for the gulch, and they did have a bar that was quite good. Only a few freelancers in there, but some occasionally. It was a good place to meet a lady that you made prior arrangements with. And the free breakfast was off the chain! There was a piano bar across the street that was an awesome ex-pat bar as well. Miss the good old days. Will let you know what I find.

Costa Rica will soon eliminate the negative coronavirus test requirement for foreign tourists, authorities announced Thursday.
Beginning on October 26, arriving visitors will no longer need to show proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test result, Tourism Minister Gustavo Segura said.
The change comes nearly three months after Costa Rica first reopened its airports to international guests. Since then, international tourism "has not been a source of COVID-19 contagion," Segura said.
The decision also follows an early-October recommendation from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) which states that conducting coronavirus testing for incoming travelers "is not recommended as a tool to mitigate the risk of international spread. ".
Visitors to Costa Rica will still need to purchase travel medical insurance and complete the Health Pass epidemiological form. The insurance must be either a policy from INS or Sagicor — both Costa Rican companies — or a foreign policy that covers COVID-19 medical expenses and extended lodging.

Just got back from my first trip to CR. What more can I say other than I'm smitten with it. It was a short trip and I think it was best for a first-timer like myself. Now that I'm a bit more familiar, I think I'll definitely have a longer trip in the future.
The most stressful part of the entry requirements was the 72 hour testing. While most test results come 48-72 hours, there's no guarantee unless you're willing to pay a lot to a private clinic and lab. But with CR's new rules, a COVID test is NOT required. When it comes to the medical insurance, I would err on the side of caution and just get the national insurance. I found the sagicor one is cheaper. I did a ton of research on foreign medical insurance policies and I haven't seen any that has the difficult-to-find $2000 quarantine coverage.
For my first night, I decided to stay at Sportsmen's. It was actually the reopening day so it was very quiet. There were maybe 8 girls there, most were attractive. More importantly, I met a lot of the bar regulars that were expats. I got a ton of information from them, especially from Bill the owner and Rudy the bookie. Super nice guys. I spent a lot of time picking their brains and they were more than happy to chat with me and show me the ropes. It was there that I also learned that HDR was done from multiple expats. I've read the rumors for awhile, but finally being on the ground there and hearing it from multiple people pretty much sealed it for me. As the night was coming to a close, I took a walk around the bar area, but alas all the girls had left or were chatting it up with other travelers. I really didn't feel too bad about it as I had been up since 2 AM.
Next morning I took Sportsmen's shuttle to Vamos Rental Car. It was recommended to me from an expat and I'm sure glad I listened. For a total of $27/ day, I got a nice Mitsubishi SUV (a little bit bigger than a Honda CRV), a cell phone that acted as a mobile hotspot (which I desperately needed), and only had to put down $750 deposit for basic coverage on a CC. It was a great car to have, especially with CR's great roads (sarcasm), and it got really good gas mileage. From there I made the drive down to Jaco. It was actually a really nice drive. I just wish it was 2 lanes per direction for the entire length because there were stretches where a line of cars would be stuck behind a semi. Anywho, finally got to my condo rental and it was perfect. It's located literally right in front of the beach, has it's own full size swimming pool, spacious, and 24/7 guard. It was still early afternoon and so after I got situated I went Musi and got a bunch of waters and snacks. I'm not a huge alcohol drinker so I knew that any I drink was going to take a toll so I needed a lot of water LOL. Met up with an expat that lives in Jaco and he gave a lot of great information about restaurants and bars, which one's are locals-only, and info about Cocal.
Apparently the rules changed since I was there, but the bar area is open until midnight. HOWEVER, the guards at the front gate won't let any new people come in after 9 PM. So I walk in and the guard does a temperature check, makes sure you have a mask, and gives you a squirt of hand sanitizer. Oh yeah, while it is required you wear a mask everywhere, not all places strictly enforce it. My advice is to just keep one with you though at all times. So, first night at Cocal and I'm astonished. I had pretty low expectations because of COVID so I knew it wasn't going to be like the crazy numbers from what I've read about in the past. However, it was about 30-40 girls and maybe 8 guys. I immediately get bum-rushed. Most girls weren't wearing masks so I was able to get a good luck at all the girls. First girl that caught my eye was a curvy Dominicana with great caramel skin. Her face reminded me of pornstar Roselyn Lopez and Marsha Thomason from White Collar. She was super flirty, lots of wandering hands, kissing, and dancing. Other girls got in on the dancing so that was fun LOL. We chatted a little bit more and eventually had negotiations. She started off immediately with $200 and I just sat up straight in my chair and gave her that "seriously? Look. I countered with $100 and after a little back and forth, we agreed on $130. I was told ahead of time that Jaco girls will be more expensive than girls in SJ (and one of the main reasons why girls come to Jaco is because they know they can get more money). We drove to my place (literally 3 minutes away) and. It was okay. We both took quick showers and her body was absolutely amazing. Pretty standard stuff, not as GFE as I was hoping, but I wasn't too surprised or disappointed. Afterwards we cleaned up and she asked me if I wanted to hang out again. I said sure (half-heartedly LOL) and got her contact info. She called an uber and got picked up from my gate.
Next morning was an absolute chill day. I had finally gotten some much needed sleep. I spent a good 2 or 3 hours hanging out at the beach. Met some expats who were there to surf. Grabbed some amazing tacos at El Chicano, I highly recommend it. I also spent some time talking to some girls on Tinder. I was hoping to find a short-term GFE situation and found a girl that I think fit the bill. She was from San Jose and we chatted a bit. For some reason I didn't really get a "working girl" vibe from her. She actually seemed more interested in hanging out at the beach than getting paid. Eventually the evening rolled around and I went back to Cocal and found the same 30-40 girls to 10 guys ratio. Met a Tica that spoke really good English. She was actually really chill and asked if she could join me. She wasn't really my type, she was too spinner-ish, but she was a great person to talk to. She pointed out some girls to be careful of and she also pointed out some of the gents that were weird. Speaking of which. Does anyone know why the old fat white dude wears a big backpack with a tennis racket in it all the time? Eventually she asked me what kind of girl I liked and she called over one of her friends. She introduced us and left. I got her contact info before she left though because she was really cool.

Her English wasn't as good as her friend that introduced us, but nonetheless we were able to chat a bit. She started to get flirty with the touching and so I reciprocated. Before we left, I asked her her do's and don'ts and she definitely had a more GFE vibe. Negotiated down to $120. Drove back to my place and it was a much better session than the night before. She stayed for awhile and laid in bed with me. It was kind of late but she didn't want to go back. We instead walked on the beach for a bit, but had went back to my condo when the police came to do a curfew check on the beach. Eventually we took a shower together and she called for an uber and left.
The next day, the girl I was talking to on Tinder asked if she could come stay with me for the night. I said of course it's fine and so she took a bus down to Jaco. I had already seen pics of her and I knew she was going to be a spinner, but I didn't realize just how small she was. I'm more into curvy, brickhouse girls, but was cute with a cute personality. I could tell immediately that she wasn't a working girl. From our conversations, my "payment" would be making sure we go to the beach. We went to my place first where she could change and then walked across the road to the beach. She absolutely loved. She was holding my hand, walking with her arm in mine, kisses. Very much a short term GFE. After the beach, we went into town to grab some food. From there, we walked around a bit (she said it was 5 years since the last time she was in Jaco). We went back to the beach and hung out there some more. Once the sun went down, we went back to my condo and chilled. We put on some music, made some drinks, and just chilled. Things got hotter with more kissing and eventually we made it to the bedroom. She might've been a spinner, but she knows how to use her body. Amazing night.
Overall it was great trip for my first time. I know that because of COVID that a lot of girls were more restrictive on their menu options and I totally understand that. I'm considering heading out to either Colombia or Costa Rica this December. Flying from Europe is much easier into CR (one direct flight vs 2 flights each way for either Medellin or Cartagena). My question to anyone kind enough to answer is whether it's worth the extra flights to get to Colombia or is CR almost as good? I've been to Colombia mongering and had the best time, I love the setup with the street girls and the clubs and the online delivery, from what I've read CR seems like a much smaller version of this with more expensive girls that are perhaps less attractive as an average.

And there are probably restrictions in hotels as far as letting in non guests, although not sure of that. So activity is not the same as pre-Covid. And there is a lot of Covid there. Hence the requuirement for the very specific insurance.

Not related to this post but just got a video from a Paisa friend of the heart of La 70. He has a table on la 70 selling pipes, papers, wallets souvenirs and there was nobody on the street and I mean nobody but one guy walking in the street. They have some sort of lockdown for Halloween. I hope its better the rest of the week because it was unbelievable to see la 70 like a ghost town.
Anywho, finally got to my condo rental and it was perfect. It's located literally right in front of the beach, has it's own full size swimming pool, spacious, and 24/7 guard. I've stayed a lot at Sportsmans, and last year just pre-covid $100 was the normal price. Some wanted, and were getting a bit more, some would settle for $80. But $100 was the norm.
Post Covid I hear that prices are lower in general in San Jose. But chicas are more needy. So if they let a limited number in (to the SL) then I expect the ones in there will try to hold out for the $100 again. My guess only. I know lots of them, and they can get their heads together and put pressure on each other to stick with $100 - don't know how successful that might be, but they'll try. So as the number of guests increase, and if the number of girls they let in is limited, then it will allow the chicas to hold out for the $100. My prediction.

Booked flight just now, purchased my Covid Insurance Policy and Booked stay at Sportsmen's. Going based on the market favoring the consumer at the moment. I'm currently staying at Taormina, a 5 minute walk from Sportsman's. It's a decent place. The bar here has at least as many girls each night as Sportsman's (20 to 25 I'd guess.) My friend also concurred that $60 will get you exactly what you would expect lower end looks. I have to commend her for implying me being cheap at $60. I was back again last week. Most of the massage places are open as usual. Most had 5-7 girls and zero customers. Pensiones are also open. Again, Blue Marlin is closed for good. SL is the new BM, and a number of the BM girls are now going to SL. They are still asking $100, but most will come down or go home with zero. Taormino casino, just down from SL, had a few girls in the past, but now appears to have more. Definitely a place to check out when in the neighborhood. Immigration has been painfully slow this last 2 months. What used to be a 5 minute drive-thru now takes over an hour. Be sure to have your Health Pass completed and bar code ready for scanning, as well as proof in travel insurance. I got mine online from INS that covered multiple entries and exits over the past two months for about $200. Worked like a champ.
Buhiuba mentioned in his post that he didn't see any girls waiting outside SL on a Friday night at 9 pm. That is because they are closing at 10 pm because there is a curfew. If you go earlier, say around 5 or 6, there will typically be girls waiting to get in, depending on the day and how many girls are already there. Since they have limited capacity due to covid restrictions, SL has to balance enough paying customers that keep the doors open, with the number of women they let in to draw the customers. There are a lot of regulars and locals there that rarely take girls from there, so that complicates the math.

All in all prices are lower if you negotiate well and have the power to walk away if necessary. I have a few numbers and going to line something up. All in all having a great time but still have spent more than I intended to. But what the hell I don't get down here much anymore.

Visiting CR after almost 2 years in January and would be put up in my fav Sportsmen's Lodge for a week.
Unfortunately, also have to work infrequently during my trip there.
I have booked Amistad as that used to be my fav room, but Wi-Fi there was spotty.
Can somebody who have been there in recent past let me know which part of SL gets better Wi-Fi connectivity?

Arrived 2 am Friday morning had shuttle from Sportsmen's waiting on me as I walked out of airport. Well worth the 30 bucks at 2 am. Be prepared to be able to present your health form bar code when going through immigration I recommend taking a screenshot of it to keep on your phone. It took about an hour to get through immigration. As stated earlier I started a Tinder account and had some good contacts there. The first day I had Andrea (or Silene, Or whatever her real name is.) she came early afternoon. She states she is 19 I'd say 23 or 24. Not that it matters. We had great chemistry and fun communicating through translator app. She agreed to spend the night. We never discussed money. She just stated give me what you think is fair. Had a fantastic night with her. Great experience. The following night really wasn't in the mood libido wise however got to talking to two cute blondes. And we came to an agreement on a threesome a great effort on their part but I will tell you women are the masters of camouflage. When the clothes and bra came off it was like a can of busted biscuits. They had a little more meat on them than I thought but still very attractive and they treated me well. Asked for tip for taxi and after I went back to the bar and they hadn't left and looking for business. LOL. A little while back, I was here and noticed on the bottom floor near the food courts they have 2 or 3 sex shops. It is a regular mall, but a bit for the normal income class of San Jose, and not as much an upscale place like the mall in Escazu. Anyway, I went to the food court and noticed girls browsing the sex shops. I met a 20 year old university student kind of petite and asked her if she liked the shops, why she didn't buy etc. Knowing of course the reason being she doesn't have the money.
I also, speak enough Spanish for conversation, but always have google translate too. Anyway, I asked her what she would buy and we went shopping and I bought her a toy and a nice sexy outfit. She was happy and came back to my apartment and demonstrated her skills. I spent about $50 on her and gave her another $50 as a thank you after and to get home and get food, but she did not ask for extra.
Great times, she has been hitting me up since and sending vids of her fucking herself. I probably will see her again at some point.
Here in the CR just being friendly and polite and dressing kind of decent and smelling good go a very long way. This is not a point and click place for tail, but I am kind of past that since I live here a good part of the year. But, if you are a little creative and like fun, there are many open doors.

Hi there, has anyone stayed at the Taormina Hotel recently? I am coming to SJ for super bowl weekend and staying there. I heard it's like the new HDR. Someone also told me that bars close at 9 pm now. Is that true? Also does anyone know how much they charge for the guest fee? TIA.

Curfews and hours and capacities are changing frequently due to health regulations around Covid. Last check bars were not open at all, only restaurants which may also serve alcohol. Guest fees were either equivalent to $10 or $15 US, but again this number may change with everything else going on.
And it is not the new HDR. Recently, and up until recently, there are a few chicas in the bar (if the bar is open). But the most I ever saw in there were 5 or 6, the hotel in no way wants to be the new HDR, and in reality is trying to get away from all of that totally. That was the direction they were going before Covid. A non-monger hotel. They have put the pause on that direction as the current customer base are mongers.

Taormina bar is open, and yes is the new HDR.
There's chicas from Monday to Sunday.
The bar opens from 14:00 to 22:00 during the week.
Close at 21:00 during the weekends.
They are currently working with 50% capacity due to covid BS. And that is the only reason why you will find 10-15 girls inside and another 5 making a line outside trying to get in.
But there will be many more as the covid BS goes away.
For now is like in the past; ugly old women at the Sport Men and beautiful tattooed chicas at the Taormina.
The Taormina shares their Casino activities on their respective websites and social media; but does not share anything related to the bar for obvious reasons.

I am never charged a chica fee there but I have not been there lately. I have also found their rates to be much cheaper when walking directly to the reception rather then booking online. They seem to cut out the middleman fees plus some more. My last visit, I only paid $60 for a nice fourth floor room. YMMV.
