Does anyone recommend a specific pharmacy to buy Viagara / Cialis / Levitra or are they all the same (as in pharmacies)? The only prior post I found was from 4 years ago and wasn't specific.
I haven't used any before as I haven't needed but I was told they lead to better sex. I've read about them but are there any major differences for recreational use? One better than the others?

They are all about the same and overpriced IMO. A lot of guys including myself order from Canada or other country for about 25% of the price in Tijuana and they arrive in less than a week usually. In Tijuana you may end up paying $10 to $15 for a single pill. They are available in a lot of bars. Just ask the guy in the men's room selling all the other shit. They usually have them.

My buddy found them for $7 a block north west of HK and Adelitas. I think they were fairly cheap at the Ley also. They are 18$ per pill in HK so plan ahead. I was surprised that amoxacillin is now not obtainable without a prescription. In the past if I had an incredibly stupid fuck fest I would run to the drug store and get some penecillin, I guess those days are over.

I can't tell any difference between my $1 pills and the reall stuff. So you can spend a hundred bucks and have a couple years supply. Don't do this or that, etc. I've waited 2 months for the interview so I don't want to do anything stupid or forget anything. Any advice is appreciated. Oh, and where do I go for it is one question if anyone can hep with that.
Also, I plan to cross the border afterwards and hang for a bit. Is anyone planning to be down there tomorrow? It's always fun to cruise with someone when possible.

The office is located in the main building at OTAY. Not inside but a seperate smaller part just to the right as you enter.

The interview with the officer took just a few minutes. I was asked if I had a business in Mexico, and told them no, and that my trips are simply recreational; friends and such.
You mentioned you would cross the border after the interview? Otay Mesa or San Ysidro? I have not been, but I don't think there is much to do when you cross the border at Otay Mesa.
Also, walking or driving across? Even if you get the Sentri sticker on your windshield, I would not recommend driving across.
Last thing, you will not receive your Sentri card the day of your interview, they will mail it to you, and you will get it in about a week.

I will probably headed over to San Ysidro to walk across then. I've actually driven across many times and would usually enter through San Ysidro and exit at Otay to try and reduce the wait. Sometimes helpful but not always. At any rate, I don't like getting lost over there, which I've done, and I stopped driving now.
My buddy and I scheuled our Sentri interviews for today and went. If using GPS, beware; it will get you lost. They are building a new section of the 905 freeway. Also when you exit its kind of confusing as to where to go, because where you have to go has a "Road Closed" and "Authorized Vehicles Only" signs on it! The best be was to read the directions from the print-out from the interview scheduled confirmation page. It gives you good landmarks.
Another word of advice is avoid scheduling your appointment between 11am to 1 pm. For some reasons they don't stagger the officer lunch times, so you do the intial document submission first and are waiting around for a while. I know Tom Jackin' has described the interview as pretty simple, my I got asked a TON of questions about why I needed the Sentri. He asked whom I was visiting in Mexico ect. The guy saw my passport with stamps around the world and started asking me many questions about it. My buddy got it even worse. The lady officer was questioning his finances because of his large mortage. They were pretty rigourous and asked a the same quesition a couple of times during the interview (in an attempt to catch people with stories that aren't straight). However, don't fear their demeanor is quite nice. When you walk up they shake your hand and introduce themselves and and make small chat, even the Filipino officers. Best advice just keep it cool, and answer their questions. I paid the fee and then had my car inspected. I was sweating the front tinted windows, but they didn't even pay attention! Infact all the cars in line had the frontside tinted windows (this is Southern California!) All they really check is that you don't have funny looking potential stashes in your truck or hood, that you have both license plates and that your windsheild isn't cracked. Then they affix the stick and you're set to go.
We will get the SENTRI card in the mail withing 2 weeks, but while we were down there. We thought we might as well go have some fun. Drove from Otay back to San Ysidro, again mind the 905 construction. It can be confusing. Parked in back in Jack in the crack as usual, walked over the bridge and across the turnstiles. Cabbed it la Zona. Walked into AB around 2 pm. Lots of girls standing around and decent looking. Walked around the back the alley and as usual ended up in HK through the south entrance. Their were some decent lookers, but like 4 of the best looking ones we occupied at a table upstairs with an older lookin gringo fellow (each taking turns coming downstairs for stage show). Couldn't help but but wonder if that man was one of you guys. Because I wanted to ask and give you a high five! They were really overdoing it with the fog machines today! I used my Garmin GPS going down there. Guess what? Welcome to Mexico sir! I pulled a ***** as soon as I was in Mexico but still had to wait about 45 minutes to get back across. Totally late for my Sentri Interview. They were cool with it though and understood and got me my interview within 20 minutes after I arrived.
I left Corona at 14:00 and arrived in San Ysidro at the Ueta parking lot at 16:00. There was light traffic on the way there. This was my third time to la Zona Norte, so this time I decided to walk instead of taking a taxi. I copied EFJAYEL's map that I found on this board to my T-Mobile G2 and used it as my guide. It took me about 20 minutes to walk to la Zona because I got pulled in by the tourist trap called Av. Revolucion (as my excuse, it was my first time walking around there since I was a kid). I was looking at the stuff for sale down Av. Revolucion but eventually decided to move on to the good stuff for sale.
I really wanted to try some Viagra or Cialis but I didn't know which pharmacy to trust. I guess I got to do my research for next time. When I finally got to the Zona, the first thing that I did was to walk the ally. This was my first time checking out the street girls. I have spoken out in the past about nickel and dimeing, cutting corners to save a penny here / there when traveling to Tijuana. I just her an author interviewed on the radio which may have me thinking a little different on the topic.
He stated that they did research that if a person was offered $3 or 300 pennies, they would take the 300 pennies. Psychologically, people think they are getting more when they get the bigger number (even though the amount is the same).
So, when you offer a chica $60 dollars, or 600 pesos, you are really offering less, but they think they are getting more. With this philosophy, it may be worth your while to use peso's instead of dollars.
Just my 2 cents, er, should I say my 20 pesos. LOL

Sounds like bs since I got the sticker on my car. I think they just did that because of a backlog. They have to make the cards elsewhere.

I have spoken out in the past about nickel and dimeing, cutting corners to save a penny here / there when traveling to Tijuana. I just her an author interviewed on the radio which may have me thinking a little different on the topic.
He stated that they did research that if a person was offered $3 or 300 pennies, they would take the 300 pennies. Psychologically, people think they are getting more when they get the bigger number (even though the amount is the same).
So, when you offer a chica $60 dollars, or 600 pesos, you are really offering less, but they think they are getting more. With this philosophy, it may be worth your while to use peso's instead of dollars.
Just my 2 cents, er, should I say my 20 pesos. LOLI have to disagree. I thought the same exact way, I thought my math would out smart them and I would make out on top. Don't use Pesos! Everytime I used them in the end I got the short end of the stick. Everyone gives prices in US dollars on Tijuana so I think the mindframe is when they tell you 5 USD and you say you have pesos they're like shit well this guy needs to get rid of them and they make a great exchange rate for themselves. Tijuana is just basically the United States shit hole. Personally my philosophy is find a girl that is awesome and don't care as much what you pay her. I'm not saying over pay, but nickeling and diming ruins the mood and I think in the end everyone wants a GFE experience.

You may want to check on what days the Amtrak stops in Old Town. I know it usually does not on the weekend. Also, I would suggest that you may want to take the Amtrak all the way to the San Diego Station (SAN) , instead of getting off in Old Town. It should be around $45 R / T, unless you are old fart like me. The trolley will pick you up at either place. You want the Blue line to San Ysidro, and it is $2. 50 (unless you are an old fart like me, then it is $ 1. 25). Buy your ticket from one of the machines by the trolley tracks.
If you live in the south bay, you might want to do the Amtrak out of Anaheim. I live in signal Hill and it takes me 30 minutes to get to the station, without traffic. It is just over two hours from Anaheim (ANA) to San Diego on the train. The trolley usually takes about 45 minutes. This past weekend they were getting all the SY passengers off at 24th Street and we got on a bus to the border. It actually works out to be faster since the bus does not stop. Coming back there will either be a bus (buy your trolley ticket first or you won't get on the bus) , or a line if the bus is not there. It will take you to 24th Street Station. This could take a while longer since you must wait for the trolley north bound to show up. It was fifteen minutes at immigration at 8 AM. I left the hotel at 8 AM in the morning and walked through my door in SH at noon.
I tried something different this weekend, and left ANA later. I got to the hotel Leyva at about 8:30 PM. I was charged $17. 00 for the room, with each lady $12. 00 each. My room ended up being $29. 00 since I only took one from Chicago. She was O. K, but reminded me of why I should not take a woman not showing her midriff. She had great naturals, very nice legs, but under it all was a small gut. Oh well. My bad. I went over to Adelita's and picked a spinner that I had been with before, that had absolutely no fat. She paid the price for my previous error. And was an excellent session.
All-in-all the zona had both many more women and mongers this weekend. HK was it's usual sausage fest, and hot as h*ll. I didn't spend much time there. Las Chavelas had a couple of VGL ladies, and more people than usual. Adelita's also had a few more women than normal. Chicago Club had a 3-4 VGL ladies.
A funny thing happened in CC. I was sitting at the end of the bar watching the Lakers game. One of the ladies came and sat down next to me. I looked over and said,"hola". She looked at me and it was like she had sat on an electric chair. Her ass shot up, and she hauled ass away without even a word. Talk about not being able to buy p*ssy in a working girl house. As fast as she moved, and the look on her face, was hilarious. I guess she doesn't like fat, old farts.
It seemed as though there were more ladies available than in the past few months, both at the clubs, and in the street.

There is a station at Bayfront / E Street, but it is after the 24th Street Station. You could still get on the trolley and at the end they would take you to San Ysidro by bus, but it makes stops along the way. You might want to take the north bound trolley to 24th Street (the next station) , and then take the bus, which is an express to the border. The last trolley from the border leaves at 12:59 AM according to their web-site. Google Sand Diego trolley and it will get you the information. They are in the process of repairing the tracks, so the stations that they stop at change, you probably want to check prior to your visit.
I stayed on the old side and it was $17 for the room, and $12 for each lady. The room was very standard, but all I do is session and sleep there. I only took one so it was $29 for the night. The real be*tch was the calls. I got three of them telling her time was up. Since I had the room for the night I don't understand why they cared about the time.
I don't know about the past. I usually stay on Ave. Revo and it is $44 for weekend nights, so I still saved money.

I've been monitoring the SY border crossing times. It's been 30 minute delay all day. I assume that means 30 minutes from the time you get past the turnstile. So, that means the line has been insane all day. At least I think that's a logical conclusion to draw.
So, I was wondering about parking at Otay Mesa and cabbing it into Tijuana Centro. But I can find little here about that.
Anybody tried it? Is the time savings substantial at mid-day? Taxi costs?
It's almost 2 hours down, and another 2 hours back. That's OK, but another 2 hours in line is a deal breaker.
This would be a stopgap until my SENTRI comes through.

Never tried it but plenty of zona chicas live in Otay and use either a bus or collectivo (station wagon or van white shuttle taxis) the collectivos are a much better deal but they may stop along the way to drop passengers. I would almost bet that a regular yellow or libre would run you $12 or $15 to la zona norte from Otay, $10 for sure.
Also that 905 peters out East of the 805 and is a cumbersome drive returning due to semi trucks and lot's of commuters. My least favorite road to travel that 805 to Otay span. It's either that or pay the toll on the 125 from 8 freeway.

Well, I figure it's high time that I jumped on the badwagon and applied for a Sentri card. The lines are just too long and unpredictable. I apologize for posting this in the general Tijuana reports section, but we don't have a section dedicated to border / Sentri information. Unfortunately, in the 7 years that I've been visiting Tijuana regularly things have been getting worse and worse at the border, and I almost feel like we need a separate discussion forum just for that! For those of you who have gone through the interview process, I have a couple of questions. In return, I promise a full and detailed report once I go through the ordeal and (hopefully) get the card. Some of my questions may seem stupid, but the process is confusing and has changed quite a bit over the years, so please bear with me:
1) Can a US Passport card be used as an acceptable form of I'd when applying for Sentri? The online form just states "passport", asks for the # etc, and then instructs you to bring the actual document to the interview. I prefer to only carry my passport card, so I'm wondering if I can use that as proof of citizenship for the interview.
2) What is the total cost of the Sentri card? The total cost of the Sentri used to be $100, but I just read a UT article that claims the cost is now $45. They're trying to encourage more people to get the card. Also, how much does it cost to add a vehicle? It used to be that they issued a "transponder", like we use on the toll roads, but it seems that they have stopped this. Although I don't drive to Tijuana often, if the cost of adding the vehicle is not prohibitive then I may as well do it.
3) Do I need to give a reason as to why I need the Sentri card during the interview? I thought I read on this forum that one needs to give a better reason than just saying "because I want to cross the border faster." Rather than talk about visiting the clubs etc. In Tijuana, I thought I would mention that I am considering purchasing a small condo / house in the beach area, and I will not even consider doing that without a Sentri card. This is somewhat true, as I would like to retire in Baja Cal, but I'm just a little young to be procuring a retirement spread. The other questions I think I can handle.
4) How long does the entire process take, from the time of application submission to the time the card is received?
5) For the pedestrian crossing, can the Sentri card be used 24/7 or is there a dedicated lane only some of the time?
6) When the actual card arrives, what does one do at the pedestrian line? Often, this line goes way, way back from the turnstiles and back into Mexico. Do you have to wait in the general line until you hit the turnstiles or do you just cut in front? Sometimes there are guards at the turnstiles. Will they let you in front if you have Sentri? Has anyone ever had somebody get pissed at them for supposedly jumping the line?

I can't answer all your questions since I'm waiting for the official price to drop. Since I usually am in Tijuana at night, there's not real bonus to the program unless I register my car and drive over which I never do. However, like you I might register the car while I'm doing it to have the option.

They're in the process of opening an office in the old Payless Shoes store for SENTRI and I think they're waiting for that to open. The last time I asked, the CBP guy didn't know and said he'd be the last to known.
5) For the pedestrian crossing, can the Sentri card be used 24/7 or is there a dedicated lane only some of the time?These days the Sentri pedestrian line closes at 10pm I think. I usually roll across the border at 3am-ish so there's no line for the pedestrians with or without the card. I suspect when there's a more Sentri cardholders they will expand the hours. Also note they recently started the new port of entry project so there will be various car lanes closed (usually overnight) and eventually they're redo the pedestrian area.
The first major thing for pedestrians will be when they open the new bridge over the 5. At that time they'll permanently close the old pedestrian bridge. The sign on the old bridge says it will close "in the spring timeframe". A guard told me before that he heard April. The bridge looks done and is lit at night but there are temp fencing closing it.

You'd probably just stay to the left. I have not idea how bad the foot traffic is in the daytime since 99% of the time I'm there at night.
However on my past two daytime trips last month, I got to the line between 3-4pm and there was only about a 10 minute wait or so. It seems if you go too soon, there's a line, and later there's a line.

This would be a stopgap until my SENTRI comes through. The official government estimates are estimates. I've checked the line estimate from my phone when it was out the door and they said zero minutes wait. Other times, it said an hour and there was no line. The Tijuana TV / Radio / Newspaper estimates are a little better.
But if you're walking and the line is too long, it is better to get a ride in a van / bus. It will cost $5 but it puts you in the bus line which gets processes faster than the long line. There will be guys walking along the line shouting out towns in SoCal starting with San Ysidro. Even if the bus is going to Bakersfield, you get off the bus at CBP and you just don't get back on after you exit the building. One morning I had to be in Anaheim but ran into a 3hr+ line that went nearly to the Hotel Pueblo Amigo. Guy was offering seats on his van for $5/each and I was across in 30 minutes. About half that wait was waiting for other people to fill the van. So if there's two vans offering you a ride, get the one that's almost full.
You can even catch the red bus from downtown on Revu and cut out the taxi.
I too had thought of using Otay because of its fabled low wait times. But the taxi rate is going to be at least $15 each way (unless you find a magical taxi with a meter that isn't "broken"). I was asked a driver once what he charges from the border crossing at the 5 to the Tijuana airport and he said 18 dollars or so. Since the Otay crossing is a few km farther they'll want more $.
Otay is definitely the option if you're driving. But by taxi? Not so much.

5) Sentri line is only open until 10:00 PM not sure from what time but for sure 5 or 6 AM.
6) March ahead and just flash your sentri card to the guards at the turnstyle, they will let you in if the line is stopped. There is sometimes a problem in the building in that the sentry line isn't staffed. You are entitled to step in front of those in the other lines if the sentri isn't staffed properly during open hours.

But the only question that I was asked, was if I had business in Mexico. I just replied and told the officer that I visit my friends in Tijuana 2-3 times a month; that was about it.
But others, such as Party God, have reported getting drilled with questions, but yet I'm sure they made it through the system. For goodness sake, there is nothing illegal with hanging out in HK or the other clubs, so there's really no need to worry. Just say I have a type "A" personality and hate waiting in line!
Otay is definitely the option if you're driving. But by taxi? Not so much.Last time I was down, I decided to go the Otay route headed South. The taxi fare from Brown Field was much less than to San Ysidro but the fare from Otay to La Zona was $18. Making the total cost for me a wash over San Ysidro.
When I was headed North the next morning, I ran into a line at San Ysidro longer than I have ever seen. I told the taxi driver to take me to Otay. The total cost of that ride was $15. The line at Otay was 4 people. I will probably continue to use the Otay crossing, but of course my ground transport starts and stops at Brown Field.

I am not so sure the bus lines are a better than the long pedestrian lines. In my experience the bus lines take just as long or are longer. I have timed it many times and noticed the same buses waiting after I make it through the pedestrian line.
And when I have taken a bus, I always get beat by walkers.
As for the Otay border, I have done it before. There are Mexican shared taxis and little buses you can catch at the South end of the zona, and they will take you there. However, they may cheat a gringo. I cannot remember how much its costs, but it is much less than the regular $15 taxi ride.
The problem with the Otay border is that you still have to get back to San Ysidro by bus, unless you park there. When it is all over you have spent just as much time as waiting at the San Ysidro border. The only time Otay is better is when there is a serious problem in San Ysidro. The first time I did Otay was when there had been a shooting and word was the border was closed. Little did I know the shooting was AT OTAY!

Hey guys.
Just wanted to comment on my Sentri interview in case it can help anyone.
Went down last Friday for a 10 am interview and had no trouble finding it by following the letter from them with instructions. I did goof one thing though. The directions say to go past the Road Closed sign and the parking lot is on the right. Only problem is, the first parking lot on the right is a pay parking lot and is not the one they are referring to.
It's only 2 bucks so no biggie but you don't need to pay it. Continue down the street, even though it looks like you shouldn't be doing it, pass the employee parking lot and then you will see a visitor parking lot. Pull in and park there and it's free.
Arrived on time at 10 am. You check in and get a packet of rules and regs to read and sign. After about 5 min, got called by a clerk to go over all my paperwork, which took about 10 min or so. This clerk is not the one interviewing you so don't sweat too much. She did ask a few questions but I think it was mostly conversational and she was cool. Through her, I found out my next goof. I had planned to register my truck with them and get the decal.
Two problems. I didn't have my front license plate on my truck for some dumb reason and they require both. Also, if you any kind of crack in your windshield, it won't pass. Since she told me that I said don't bother with my truck then. I'll do it another time. For those asking about the fees. I paid $25 up front when I applied online and then $97 the day of my interview. This would have included my truck had it been up to snuff.
Since it was not and I am going to add it later most likely, I will have to pay additional money for that. If I remember correctly, it will cost $42 later. Not a huge cost, but if you get your vehicle together for your regular interview you won't have to pay it.
After the first clerk, waited about 5 more minutes and a Border Patrol agent came and got me for the actual interview. Now, I seemed to get a fairly chatty one who asked quite a few questions. He was cool enough but I did find myself wondering why they would ask some of these things. The other desk in the room with another agent did 2 interviews in the time of my one. Of course, one of those seemed to go bad, so who knows.
Ultimately I told him that we like to go down to Ensenada, Rosarito, and Tijuana periodically for weekend trips, which was actually true before passports were required and all the drug BS going on. Now I just go down by myself once in a while to plunder the Zona. They will ask more questions about your life in the US than anything else. I guess they are just trying to get a picture of who you are and are there any ulterior motives for being to freely come in and out of Mexico.
After this interview, and him telling me he would recommend me for a card, I paid the cashier and headed out. All told, I was there for an hour or so and fairly painless. I would assume if they had looked at my truck, maybe another 30 min or so, so plan for that if you need to.
After that I headed over to the SY crossing, parked, and walked into Tijuana but that is another story.
Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in zona to take SG's other than the Coscada. All the other hotels are real sleazy.

Find a girl you like that gives that special service you need. Ask her what it would take to go to another hotel in wlaking distance. Cascadas in one of the better hotels in the zone, but their rates and policies suck.
I know you a a cheap mofo, so try Hotel leyva ($25). It's cheap, clean but very very old. Ask for a new room and you will find girls will walk there no problem. You can also try the Hacianda Santa? It's around the corner and owned by the same people as Leyva. I used to use the Hotel Diaz, some girls will walk there.
Soon you will not even think twice about hunting in SD, when you can do Tijuana for $60 total.
We all have different luck with Taxi drivers. I almost always am able to find guys that will take $10. 00 to drop me off at the HK club. I keep their phone numbers (all of them, as quite often one or more may not show). I have both Mx service on my USA phone and a backup TelCel phone. I use my TelCel to send my "girls" a heads up that I am will be in town SOON and also to text the Taxi guys.

The official government estimates are estimates. I've checked the line estimate from my phone when it was out the door and they said zero minutes wait. Other times, it said an hour and there was no line. The Tijuana TV / Radio / Newspaper estimates are a little better.
But if you're walking and the line is too long, it is better to get a ride in a van / bus. It will cost $5 but it puts you in the bus line which gets processes faster than the long line. There will be guys walking along the line shouting out towns in SoCal starting with San Ysidro. Even if the bus is going to Bakersfield, you get off the bus at CBP and you just don't get back on after you exit the building. One morning I had to be in Anaheim but ran into a 3hr+ line that went nearly to the Hotel Pueblo Amigo. Guy was offering seats on his van for $5 / each and I was across in 30 minutes. About half that wait was waiting for other people to fill the van. So if there's two vans offering you a ride, get the one that's almost full.
You can even catch the red bus from downtown on Revu and cut out the taxi.
I too had thought of using Otay because of its fabled low wait times. But the taxi rate is going to be at least $15 each way (unless you find a magical taxi with a meter that isn't "broken"). I was asked a driver once what he charges from the border crossing at the 5 to the Tijuana airport and he said 18 dollars or so. Since the Otay crossing is a few km farther they'll want more $.
Otay is definitely the option if you're driving. But by taxi? Not so much.

I don't know what it was all about, but la policia were chasing two or three dudes around, finally mob tackling the perps right int he middle of the alley. I haven't seen anything like this in the times I've been in Tijuana. I booked a room at Cascadas (the one above HK) last night. I booked a 2 bedroom. When I got there, they said they over booked and ran out. They offered me a Jaccuzi room at a discount for $56. I decided to accept the offer. Mainly because I wanted a room away from the stairs and traffic.
Their policies have improved, it is still a $10 deposit for the room key. They don't charge you when you take a girl up there. I took one up from HK and one SG. The clerk at the front desk didn't say a thing. Didn't get no knock on my door either.
The bed is very firm. Definitely not to my tastes, gave me back pains trying to sleep on it. I was also on the 3rd floor and you can definitely hear HK's music all through the night. It was muffled and didn't bother me, but the bed was the main thing that was keeping me from having a good nights rest.
SG's are bound to a hotel, but that can be changed. Find a girl you like that gives that special service you need. Ask her what it would take to go to another hotel in wlaking distance. Cascadas in one of the better hotels in the zone, but their rates and policies suck.
I know you a a cheap mofo, so try Hotel leyva ($25). It's cheap, clean but very very old. Ask for a new room and you will find girls will walk there no problem. You can also try the Hacianda Santa? It's around the corner and owned by the same people as Leyva. I used to use the Hotel Diaz, some girls will walk there.
Soon you will not even think twice about hunting in SD, when you can do Tijuana for $60 total.

We all have different luck with Taxi drivers. I almost always am able to find guys that will take $10. 00 to drop me off at the HK club. I keep their phone numbers (all of them, as quite often one or more may not show). I have both Mx service on my USA phone and a backup TelCel phone. I left Corona about 11 a. M. For what has become a monthly trek to the Zona. I have not been reporting on previous trips because they have all been pretty much run of the mill. Hotel above Ab doesn't charge extra at all, but it is almost impossible get a room on weekends.

I want a room that's actually clean and secure, and I want to spend about 40 per night. Looking at an online travel site, I've discovered the Good Nite Inn in Chula Vista for about 43 per night after taxes. It has some good reviews, and it looks to be a short walk from the train.
Question: Has anyone stayed there? Is it really a good deal, or is it a dump like the hotels in San Ysidro seem to be?
Alternatively, is there some place really nice in San Ysidro for about 40 per night?
Dude, don't be a wuss. Stay at the hotel ticuan in Tijuana. Its 4 stars for about 60 a night. You are close to everything, and they have a massage parlor across the street. Its safe. No worries. The shower is to die for. You can bring girls in there and have alot of fun.

Looking at an online travel site, I've discovered the Good Nite Inn in Chula Vista for about 43 per night after taxes. It has some good reviews, and it looks to be a short walk from the train.
Question: Has anyone stayed there? Is it really a good deal, or is it a dump like the hotels in San Ysidro seem to be?
Alternatively, is there some place really nice in San Ysidro for about 40 per night? I've stayed at the Good Nite Inn Chula Vista my last two trips to San Diego and Tijuana. It is clean although an older motel. I've never had any problems there and have another trip booked there in July. I've never taken the train, but I believe it is just across the freeway. I've always rented a car and it's easy to hop down to Tijuana or go to San diego as the hotel is right off the freeway and not noisey either. I definitely recommend it.

I've often stayed at the Motel 6 in San Ysidro, it's in the price range your looking for and it's near the Border. It's been clean when I've been there and right next door is a Denny's restaurant.
For me it's a convenient location, I usually walk from there to the Border and after I cross take a cab to AB / HK.
Check the Motel 6 website for rates, the location number is #98. I, too, usually stay at the Motel 6 by the border. Very basic, pretty clean, and safe. I usually try to find a parking spot across for the big outlet mall for a short walk to the border.
The motel formerly known as the Travelodge is a little nicer, much closer, but more expensive. Not sure what their current name is. There is another place next to Motel 6. They also have a recent name change. Stayed there once a couple years ago. Worst of the three. Did not feel comfortable there.
All have easy access on to and off of the highways to get you to wherever you want to go north of the border.

There is another Motel 6 in Chula Vista, adjacent to the E-Street / Bayfront Trolley stop. It is located right behind the McDonalds and across from a Denny's, Longhorn (or Black Angus) Steakhouse, and other eateries. Rates are normally around $45.
The place is always clean.
For those who do not know, the E-Street / Bayfront Station is about 6 stops from the Mexican border.

I want a room that's actually clean and secure, and I want to spend about 40 per night. Anyway, I don't want to deal with taking so much across the border. But maybe I could leave the laptop at home, reduce the amount of clothing in my bag, and do laundry on the 2nd or 3rd day at a lavanderia in the neighborhood? What do you think?
At the border or SD are no locker service that I know. If you are able to locate one in San Diego that would be some use to you.
As far as personal colthing preference and number of changes one could consider lighter drip-dry material lthan the traditional cotton weight, no need to do laundary?

I would say the Rodeway Inn, I stay there all the time when I am in San Ysidro, and it is safe and cheap, at only about $50 on a AAA rate. HOWEVER, if you are a gringo you must always be aware that you are SUPPOSED to have a prescription, which means that a cop can stop and bust you for possession without a prescription. Most likely, you will have to stop by the nearest ATM, withdraw some cash, and pay your"fine," for the crime.
I have seen this happen before. Be careful at night when you are "holding".
P.S. To answer the second part of your question. Almost everything is tolerated. If they sell it to you then it is "tolerated," otherwise they will not sell it. HOWEVER, as noted above, as a gringo you ARE NOT supposed to purchase any items in Mexico without a prescription that require one in the US. Basically, you are at the mercy of crooked cops. If you fly into San Diego like I do don't rent a car. Take a FREE car rental shuttle from the airport to the light rail station (near Thrifty, Enterprise, Alamo, etc.) and ride it to San Ysidro. Costs $5 roundtrip. It takes about an hour and lets you off right at the border so you don't have to worry about parking or driving over the border which is a real hassle.
Then WALK west across the pedestrian bridges toward the large arch. You can't miss it. Wear ipod earphones so you don't have to listen to the hawkers trying to sell you some bullshit. At the bottom of the pedestrian bridge towards Revolution you can get $1 beer and tacos and take a leak.
Right across from the wax museum is a pharmacy where you can get viagra 10 for $26. Stock up. When you get to the arch (Revolution) go straight west one more block then turn right and walk two more blocks. There will be a lot of streetwalkers that charge $20 but most are skanks. Tijuana is the poor monger's last resort. Most other spots are either too expensive to get too, and / or the price of women has risen with the recession (or the US$ has fallen).
One caveat to the previous post: At the airport you can also take the 992 city bus right outside the terminal to the trolley Downtown, which takes you to Tijuana.
Just put a $5 bill in the bus machine, and you will get a DAYTRIPPER pass, which is good for most San Diego buses and trolleys all day. So you can get down to Tijuana, back to your hotel, and go anywhere else you need to go for $5.

SSI understand what you are saying. But what if you have a legal script? Usually nobody carries a script around. They usually get it filled out at the pharmacy. Can you just bring the medicine bottle. Will that give you a free pass to stock up with generics?

I would only challenge one point in this excellent report: When I seem to have made my choice of girl in HK, I ususally spend a few more minutes with the girl and pay for her LD, so that I can confirm that the chemistry is there. SSYou are right on the money! I wish I could have a brighter outlook but all my old haunts have creeped up in price. Even low end south america sleaze is more expensive due to lower exchange rates and higher hotel rates.
This past year has been a huge wake up call for me as far as mongering expectations in the coming years. Guatemala was really cheap and decent for a one time visit but you get what you pay for.
The city closes down at 7pm for the most part.
The good news is I read an article that says latin america might be on the verge of a credit bubble due to the rapid growth in those economies.

If a trip to the hotel is also in the works, then it is a bit more confusing. Much depends on how long you've known her. Early-in-the-relationship encounters tend to cost more, later ones cost less. Generally, I don't think I every gave over $100 for an all-day "date" with a couple of trips to the hotel. Others, $30 or $40, just for groceries.

Sure, there's a random Honduran (one currently working at Adelita Bar) or Venezuelan in the mix. But for the most part, they're all pura mexicana. Although the bars of Zona Norte would love the novelty of having Asian girls, legally only girls that have health cards can work in the bars and only girls with the right to work in Mexico can have health cards. It is easier for a random chick from another Latin American county to fake her way through than an Asian might.
A few years ago I saw a Chinese girl working at CC but she was the exception to the pura mexicana rule. Lore has it that she was being deported from the US and decided to go to Mexico instead of returning to China. Nowadays there is a girl with Asian features working at CC but she's born and raised in Mexico. I've also seen a girl at Hong Kong with Asian features but never got a chance to get with her.
Tijuana is great if you want to bang Mexican chicks. If you want an Asian chick, you can stay in the US or go to Asia.
OK, just a quick update on my Sentri application, for those of you thinking of applying.
I filled out the online form and submitted it. Takes about 90 minutes to do this, when you factor in tracking down all the documents etc. That you need (car registration, passport numbers etc. Etc.) I waited two weeks, checking back into the online GOES (Global Online Enrollment System) every couple of days. I received an email two weeks after my application was submitted telling me that I was conditionally approved, and that I needed to schedule an interview.
I went back online and, here is where it gets confusing. I know from this forum that there are offices in San Ysidro and Otay Mesa. However, applying for an interview in San Ysidro was not an option I was given and I had to pick the Otay Mesa office. Anyone else have this experience?
So, bottom line is that the first interview I could get was three months from the date of scheduling, or shortly after the Independence Day weekend in July. That really sucks, but I suppose it's par for the course: DHS spends all their money on fancy equipment and staffing increases rather than on things that will actually facilitate legitimate border crossings.
Anybody have any luck with just doing a "walk in appointment" and showing up un-announced? I might give that a try, but any advice on this would be appreciated.
On a more positive note, the whole impending "vehicle inspection" check motivated me to get my windshield repaired. I had 4 stone chips and got all of them filled for $100. I had been putting this off for a long time, but at least it's done now so I'm safe and legal. Just hope I don't get any more between now and July!

RamherThe short and simple safety advice. Don't go around Tijuana trying to score drugs.
Certainly there are many issues invovled which would take up more space than I care to type on here, but the short answer is to stay in the zona for the chicas. From the border crossing take a yellow cab to AB / HK and afterwards take a yellow cab back to the border, and you'll be just fine.

Tomorrow will be three weeks since I was interviewed and approved. They said my card would arrive in 7-10 days and HAD to be activated within 30 days. Still not arrived.
I couldn't find a number that got through to a real person in Oyay Mesa. I got through to GOES tech support but they were of limited use.
I left a voicemail on a line that said a person would return my call within 48 hours. I'm not holing my breath.

If you want to take a cab, use LIBRE because they only charge $5.Dude all cabs charge 5 buck or less. A libre can get you for around 3-4 bucks. The key is never ask! This tells the cabbie you are a gringo that isn't familiar witht he scene and will quote you 10 bucks.
Simily go to the yellow cab, get in, tell the guy "Adelitas" or "Hong Kong". Upon arrival just hand the guy a five and done.

Dude all cabs charge 5 buck or less. A libre can get you for around 3-4 bucks. The key is never ask!The small compact yellow cabs called "economico" will accept $3. Reluctantly and ask for a tip. I usually confirm by asking libre or yellow drivers "is $3. OK?" so they know that I know the going rates.
Returning I like the Diamonte (yellow & black) cabs in front of Chicago Club. All very nice drivers and will drop you at the sentry loop.

I was just curios awhile ago I signed up for the VIP at Hong Kong and I belive I provided my email address. Yesterday I got an email from The Tropical Bar about a big 20th anniversary party. Just wondering how they got my email is this place connected to HK or do they share info. Anyway I will be going down Thursday the 14 th to see what the party is all about. They ended up staying in Mexicali. Mexicali has the highest per capita Chinese people than any other city in Mexico. There are not many in the clubs working but I have seen a few. Also if you like Chinese food Mexicali has so many Chinese food restaurants. There is a hotel in centro Mexicali China Town that is named La Chinesca. I have never stayed there but in the Mexicali reports some have and they say it is OK and is chica friendly. You may want to ask them for info on any Chinese putas. I have also provided a link to all the good clubs in Mexical, Auga Prieta, Los Algodones, and Nogales. It was made by 2nd Chance. It has the location of hotel Chinesca too. i am a long time lurker from the east coast and this is my first report. i am going to be in san diego and would like to explore tijuana. i went there about two years ago but never went to the zona. i don't speek any spanish and will be traveling alone. will i be able to get by or should i stay in the states? tijuana sounds like a lot of fun and i hate to miss out on a goodtime.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Can anyone tell me if the new bridge that opens today will still be accessible from the san ysidro trolley stop?
Also is there a bathroom near the america plaza station? That information is extremely important for me. If not any ideas where to go?

ThanksThe new bridge is right across the street from the Trolley station. I mean right across. It is kitty corner from the Jack in the Box. It has both stairs and ramps. On the west side the bridge is right near the entrance to the Duty Free parking lot.
There is a bathroom inside the Americas Plaza station. They're right across the tracks from the pizza place/smoothie place. There's also bathrooms inside the Starbucks.

So I'm thinking of staying a few nights in Tijuana rather than in Chula Vista or San Ysidro. People have frequently recommended Hotel Leyva.
When I go out for the day, I'll have a color copy of my passport, but I'd prefer to leave my original in my backpack back in the room. Is that safe? Also, I was thinking of bringing my little mini-PC laptop. Is that safe to leave in the room too?
Or should I be thinking of staying some place a little more upscale? I've read reports that sometimes even the upscale places will shake a person down for an extra $10 or $20 for no good reason other than the fact that they can. Can they be trusted with valuables left in the room?
Also, is there someplace near that zone where I might be able to do laundry since I'm going to be down there for 6 days?
I am in a similar situation as you. When I come down I do so for at least two weeks. I pack as I do for any international trip. Eventually you realize that owning gadgets mean nothing if you can't have them with you. I suggest you search the ineternet for security aids. I've mentioned before that corporatetravelsafety.com is a great place to start.
You need to have a system down even for the higher end hotels. Security takes a well thought out plan that is catered to your needs. My needs change from room to room depending what I have to work with. These days I don't put cash or credit cards in a safe without locking it in another bag first.
Laundry is easy! I love Tijuana for that. I use the place on madero between calle 6 and 7. I leave a load and come bqck a few hours later for $6.
From my research you need to spend at least $30 for amdecent place in Tijuana. Otherwise you risk being in a drug den or shelters for illegals crossing.
What do you mean about hotels shaking you down? People are decent in Tijuana. Just be clear in what you want and you won't have any problems.
Hotel Ticuan or Hotel Zaragoza are good places to start. I would stay at the leyva for one night if I was in my 20s again and slept in my clothes. Noisy dangerous. IMHO trouble waiting to happen. Some guys rent rooms there for weeks at a time. IMHO sleeping in the zona is good for 1 or 2 nights tops.

Thanks again for the info. The bathroom is on the side of the tracks for the Blue Line Northbound. I've only used it once, and from what I remember it was pretty small and you enter it directly from the outside. The Starbucks is on the side of the tracks heading southbound. There's a pizza place, smoothie place, Starbucks and a grab and go sandwich place.

don't worry about your lack of spanish. you'd be surprised how many posters on this august board don't.

I think you'll be a lot happier in the Ticuan. Cheaper alternatives are Caesar and Espana, but I don't think either of these have in-room safes. I've never seen one. But they're clean and safe. I think your stuff would be OK. Nelson is probably safe for your valuables, but it's pretty old and run down. Great location if you don't like sleeping at night due to noise.

Lots of guys like the leyva. IMHO its not somewhere you can pull up with bags of groceries or open your windows. It is a hardcore transient hotel located on the fringe of la zona. Just a few steps past the leyva is "don't go territory".
Its great for a night when you don't have anything but a few dollars on you. Catalina sounds like my type of place. Where?

I hadn't been to Tijuana in about a year or more, mongering further South these days but the opportunity presented itself this evening and I took it. Checked Sigalert. Com for the drive down at about 4-30pm then out the door. Damn, gas is getting pricey, $4. 12 for regular means that to get to San Ysidro's Jack in the box in my truck it's $20 plus. No wonder the economists are worrying about the impact on the economy! Still a full nutsack takes priority and I got my parking ticket at 6:05pm.
I have a passport card which means I don't need to carry my PP for overland border crossings. I thought this was the same as a Sentri card but a couple of ICE louts lounging near the trolley stop straightened me out on that. No line cuts for me.
That new footbridge is bullshit if you are in the JIB lot, may as well walk over the traffic bridge and join it on the other side. I took a cab to La Perla as usual to avoid any chance of being steered to Purple Rain or other clip joints. Had a couple of tacos and a couple of beers there while I listened to a decent ranchero band. Immediate needs handled I walked over to HK. Is it me or are there more touts around the zona these days? Seems every guy who ever lived in the US and got tossed, is offering tips on the best pussy in la zona.
I started off in Adelitas as looking through the doorway into HK it was the usual sausagefest. Adelitas was fairly empty, say 30% full? I sat at the rear bar and watched the dancers. I like the shows in Adelitas better than HK, probably because there's more room for the dancers to actually perform a routine vs HK's phone booth / mini catwalk thing.
After a while a morena came over with a great smile. Not my first choice but she was friendly and not pushy, decent body. 30 YO real name Jessica (can't remember her stage name). We shot the shit for fully an hour and 3 fischa beers (she didn't suck them down) until the time was right to have a short term romance. No charge this time for that stupid red cape and we went next door, $12 for the room as usual.
She had been complaining about the poor state of the economy, business way down, going home to Mazatlan in a day or so etc etc. Standard $60 as discussed, she didn't believe in asking a gentleman for $ up front and I don't know any gentlemen so it all worked out.
In the room she was very affectionate although cleanliness and safety were of prime import. Applied the rubber with great skill, a swift deep throat and it was almost in place. Started out with a CBJ, went to RCG then CG as I prefer to see the girl's face. She has a snapper and I was enjoying her grimaces as I humped her up off the bed. Chavelas is so unlike the other two bars on that block that it had to be just the ticket. I went into a bustling bar (the zona was picking up pace) and sat alone at the bar closest the alley. Soon a couple of homely but friendly chicas were alongside me, passing the compliments we've come to expect and laugh about. It worked, I bought them both fischas (they are sisters) and we chatted about things unrelated to broken rubbers. I politely declined a few dance requests and sized them up for round two. Nope, the big one looked like she had been sparring with De La Hoya and her sister (now that I was looking) had what looked to be dentures. Still, we had a bunch of laughs and I excused myself out into the alley.
Wow! The "chhh chh" chorus was a treat to the ears but I don't really care for SGs (to each his own) in the same way that as one gets older, one books a hotel ahead of time. You'll know what I mean when you get there.
So, it's getting later now and I still haven't popped, I thought maybe Chicago Club might serve so I strolled over.
The place is quirky at the best of times but tonight it was actually very cool. There were individual dancers and the floor, gyrating (or not) to music they had obviously given the inept DJ to play. I have to say there were some real stunners in there tonight. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer. 2 sips later a gordita came over.
I was really thinking of how best to fuck her off but something about her made me listen to her pitch. When she got to the point about multiple pops for $40 I was already in love. Long story short (er) she got the job done, made a big tip and a happy client. When we went to the hotel, having just been in that shithole Adelitas uses I was surprised. Beds nicer, rooms nicer. One could actually stay here for more than 30 mins!
My partner. There was porn on the TV, (maybe that was the clincher) but in the girls' favor, when done, her makeup was all runny as she had sweated / worked so much. Monica was her name. 3/10 looks. 8/10 value.

i am a long time lurker from the east coast and this is my first report. i am going to be in san diego and would like to explore tijuana. i went there about two years ago but never went to the zona. i don't speek any spanish and will be traveling alone. will i be able to get by or should i stay in the states? tijuana sounds like a lot of fun and i hate to miss out on a goodtime.

It is more of a no-tell-motel. The rooms are very nice. Each has it's own garage which is actually the entrance to the room. Off the top I would say stay at Cascadas because chances are you will spend a lot of time at HK bar and the hotel is adjacent. Rooms run around $35 per night but you may be able to find a coupon at their website. (google HKbar or HKtijuana to check out the bar and get hotel information)

Around ave revolucion and zona norte you won't have a ton of choices for in room safes.
Hotel zaragoza on madero between 7 and 8 has a safes in the office. I am not comfortable with that. Even still I would lock whatever you have up before you put it in a hotel safe..www.corporatetravelsafety.com
I doubt you will be able to get an SG away from the zona and into your hotel. You may want to consider one of the higher end escort agencies that will deliver. Hottijuana. Com has gotten very good reviews at $150 per hour I think.
If you want to keep things fairly simple for your first visit stay at hotel ticuan revolucion and calle8. You will be close enough to the action but far enough to enjoy a good nights sleep.
You can always rent a cheap room in the zona for action. Those would run around $30 for something decent.
Tijuana has a pretty simple lay out so getting familar with places will not be an issue. Learning how things work may take awhile so be patient and be aware. You learn as you go. I learn something new everytime I go and I've been going down since 2001.

the hotel scene in tijuana's zona norte is not like other places. it is almost strictly set up for short time liasons.
in many other locations, you can get a hotel room, find the action and bring a parade of girls back to your room for whoopee. while there are exceptions (mostly for the long-timers who know their way around) , bar girls and street girls are tied to a specific hotel. especially bar girls. you go to the sg's hotel, or to the bar's hotel. the sg because she doesn't know you, and the bg because the bar checks up on them.
besides, except for the cascadas, none of the hotels where the sgs hang around is really fit for human habitation. they range from more-or-less acceptable for 1/2 an hour, to places i wouldn't keep my dog in overnight.
if you want to put up with noise, a certain lack of cleanliness, a certain lack of comfort and amenities, you can stay in one of the bar's hotels. lots of information here concerning that, both pro and con. but you're only going to be able to pick bar girls from that hotel's bar. you're not going to be able to wander to another bar and get a girl to come back to your hotel, unless she's off shift. sgs may come to your room, depending on your hotel. again, that's hit or miss.
the hotels and bars are separate in name only. you have to walk out of the bar and into the hotel simply to satisfy mexico's anti-brothel laws. if she works at hong kong, for instance, she has to use the cascadas hotel. period. when the girl leaves the bar she checks out. except for short meal breaks, she better be checking out so she can check into the hotel with a customer. they keep tabs on all this, in case youi're curious. so the chicas are not free to go to whatever hotel strikes your fancy.
if you're looking for clean sheets, in-room safes, etc, you're not going to find them in the zona norte.

Headed back to Tijuana and this time I did make a couple corrections after my last report. First I stopped at the Pharmacy and picked up a 10 dollar Ciales. And also made sure I had Friday off work. Everything went pretty much like my last trip. Made the usual rounds and then headed to Las Chavales to see if I could find my GF who I hung with last time. She was there and I ended up buying her about 4 drinks. She kept looking at her watch and as soon as the clock hit 8 pm She dragged me off to Las Pulgas to dance and drink the night away. Only difference this time was now she had a car so there was no taxi. Here we go again with the risky behavior, I always warn my son never get in the car with someone who has been drinking. Must be some kind of middle age crisis but I let her drive me all over Tijuana while she was pretty wasted. How do they handle DUI's in Tijuana is it serious like in the states or does. 2 get you out of it?
Anyway left the Las Pulgas about 2 a. M. And headed back to the Zona for dinner, stopped at the new grill across from Adelita's the carne asada tacos were pretty good. Next stop was the same hotel I went to last time it is called something like the Guillen Hotel no idea where I was but it was quite far from the Zona. It was 21 for the room not the Four Seasons but there was a shower with hot water a bed and a TV. Thanks to Statmans PM on the technique I was able to satisfy her this time, and I don't think I even needed the Ciales it didn't appear to have any effect. The only problem is now she wants to marry me. We cuddled all night and I awoke about 9 a. M. To the sound of some dinosoars speaking spanish on the TV. And then it was back to the ho hum suburban life style with another memory of another wild and crazy night in Tijuana.

Thanks for the advice and attached link! I wasnt going to go until I read the link and took some advice. Well my first Zona experience was GREAT. Tijuana is like Disneyland for adults. I crossed the border and caught a cab (cab driver spoke pretty good English and was cool) to Adaletia Bar. Once I got inside I bought a water and began to check out the ladies. It took awhile for my eyes to get adjusted from the sun but once they did I realized just how many women were in there (I went on Wednesday around 3pm). I walked around for a few minutes just to check the merchandise, it looked like most of the girls were in the booths near the restroom. As I walked around the corner I noticed two girls sitting at the bar / stage area and one was exactly what I was looking for. I like mine to be a little more petite. This girl was georgous and spoke very little English and I spoke very little Spanish. However, just like the board mentioned, the communication barrier didn't cause any problems. We went upstairs and proceeded to take care of business and thats when I decided I was going to move to San Diego! I had a little trouble getting back across the border, security kept asking me why I was in Tijuana, when I was there last, why I didn't buy andything since I told them I went to do some "shopping". I have long hair and probably looked like I was there buying drugs, security kept looking into my eyes, fortunatly I was sober as a judge. About the problems with crossing back over the border, I would just be honest with them. A lot of people on here have said different but these guys are hired to spot lies, so why start off with a lie? I think I told one of the border guys when he asked why were you in mexico "I was doing some dirty things to some dirty women" and he laughed and shot me right through. I think they know a single guy is not going over to Tijuana to go shopping so that leaves sex (partying) or buying drugs. I'd personally prefer they think I'm going for girls rather than drugs.

I thought I always had a pretty clear picture of how the game worked. In reality the ladies are hustlers although each one may have there own style of playing the game, the goal is the same they are just trying to seperate you from your money. I would often laugh when I would read on here about guys falling for a lady and asking advice about meeting them outside the club and think what a sucker. Unfortunatly I slowly see me becoming one of those suckers.
The marriage thing is pretty much a joke I could never see that happeining. But I am developing feelings for the GF type that I have been spending time with. Although she has never asked for money for sexo I do realize I am spending more on drinks, dinner, taxis or parking lots. You make some good points Madisonguy. Yes everyone has there own style, for many years I would go to Tijuana with the goal of getting sex for as cheap as posible. I thought I always had a pretty clear picture of how the game worked. I felt the same way, San Diego would be great if it weren't for the crazy taxes. About the problems with crossing back over the border, I would just be honest with them. A lot of people on here have said different but these guys are hired to spot lies, so why start off with a lie? I think I told one of the border guys when he asked why were you in mexico "I was doing some dirty things to some dirty women" and he laughed and shot me right through. I think they know a single guy is not going over to Tijuana to go shopping so that leaves sex (partying) or buying drugs. I'd personally prefer they think I'm going for girls rather than drugs.

Thanks for the advice and attached link! I wasnt going to go until I read the link and took some advice. Well my first Zona experience was GREAT. Tijuana is like Disneyland for adults. I crossed the border and caught a cab (cab driver spoke pretty good English and was cool) to Adaletia Bar. Once I got inside I bought a water and began to check out the ladies. It took awhile for my eyes to get adjusted from the sun but once they did I realized just how many women were in there (I went on Wednesday around 3pm). I walked around for a few minutes just to check the merchandise, it looked like most of the girls were in the booths near the restroom. As I walked around the corner I noticed two girls sitting at the bar / stage area and one was exactly what I was looking for. I like mine to be a little more petite. This girl was georgous and spoke very little English and I spoke very little Spanish. However, just like the board mentioned, the communication barrier didn't cause any problems. Over the years I've traveled extensively to San Diego. Whenever alone I make a side trip to Tijuana. My tour book was authored by Brockton O'Toole. A typical visit for me is walking across, cab, an AB or HK girl, plus a SG, then return to San Diego. I've always been in and out of Mexico in a few hours. Never had a problem.
I'm very comfortable with that routine but I've never even spent the night in Tijuana. This week I'm going to be stranded in the area for 3 days and thought I'd use those days as my first multi day stay in Tijuana. The plan is to leave the car in the USA, stay in one of the hooker hotels (probably Cascadas) , and have as much sex as my body will allow. That leaves a lot of time to kill and I'm looking for suggestions of what else to do in Tijuana. I've heard that the beaches are terrible but the dog track is fun. See a movie at the VIP cinema in plaza Rio.

Walk through mercado el popo not far from the arches.

Stop by the tourist booth on revolucion. See whats going on.
Ask about a lucha libre wrestling match in the local civic center. Usually fri or sat.
Take a collectivo taxi to playas and walk the malecon. Not lots out there bu you do see ocean.
Go to the wax museum.
Look at chicano art in the various tattoo shops. If you like Russian mob and yakuzi art you will like these images.
Take a short bus ride to tecate rosarito or ensenada. Tecte would be the most cultural IMHO. Never been though.
Ask around or look in the paper for concert and sporting event information.

I'll just add that Tecate is marginally interesting. Haven't been in a long time, so it's probably a bit bigger. I think you can still visit the brewery.
If you need to recuperate you'll need some sleep. Zona Norte hotels aren't necessarily the best places to do so. Try one of the hotels on Revu. Ticuan, Espana, Caesar. Close to the action, but much quieter at night.
If you have the budget, have one of the BGs meet you afte shift, or on a day off. Sometimes a Spanish speaking escort helps a lot, depending on what you want to do, or where you want to go.
Ensenada's not a bad place. There's an interesting winery tour. Biggest problem with most of the BCN cities is the massive reduction in tourists. Ensenada is a mere shadow of its former self. Haven't been to Rosarito in years, but I'll bet it's pretty quiet, too. But all of those places have better beach than Tijuana.

Tijuana can get old after a while if the only reason you go there is to bang BG's. When I started experiencing other aspects of life in Baja in general (and Tijuana in particular) I actually fell in love with a lot of the Mexican culture. But here's the thing, it doesn't take a Don Juan to pick up girls. I'm like a 5 in my book and I have no problems picking up 9's and 10's. You just have to be confident and put a little effort in, it's so easy. I recommend anyone having problems to read the book "The Game" by Neil Strauss. True I fumbled through and learn most of it on my own before reading it, some guys haven't figured it out and this is a great example of things you can do to seal the deal with a girl that doesn't seem willing. Believe it or not, my best ever P4P experience was in Tijuana. And I have 1000+ sessions under my belt in most part of the world. This is not to say that Tijuana is the best place in the world for mongering. Just that I got very lucky once there. And in FKKs, that, as Europan, I visit oten, it is difficult to get a really good session for 50 Euros, without adding some extras 50s for CIM, COB etc.
But, like me in Tijuana, you may well have been lucky in an FKK, and I am glad for you.
My point is that, wherever you go, you may be more or less lucky. For those of us who go regularly to one place, things then averages themselves over time. Read all the other threads, such as Thailand, Singapore, Tokyo, and you will hear about anything from fantastic to dreadful. This uncertainty is what makes mongering exciting at the end. It is boring to know exactly what will happen, and this is why I hardly ever go back to the same provider, even if she was outstanding. If consistency was what I wanted, I would get married. I agree the law of averages catches up with you. Though my experiences are tilled way more positive than negative. Even the bad experiences were not that bad, really. Just a person more interested in getting paid than making the transaction fun. As they say; You Get Out Of It, What You Put Into It.

I'm probably going to Tijuana next week again. Usually I overnight and stay in the Santa Cecilia (by the Arch, it's cheap [230pesos], fine for taking Chicas to, has hot water, and is sufficiently secure for me) , but I've been strongly considering Cascadas this time, as it galls me paying that much per session for HK girls. Is Cascadas also fine for taking street girls too as well? And how about Adelitas girls. It's just any other hotel to them, right?
Anyone else around say Thurs next week, I'll look out for you.

Anyone else around say Thurs next week, I'll look out for you. I got a room at Cascadas when I went there. It was fine for HK girls, though one certainly seemed to frown a bit when we entered the room and it was obvious that she was not the first girl to be in there that night ;).
I also got an Adelitas girl that day, but she would not go into Cascadas :mad:. All in all I think getting a room to save on per-girl room charges is not a good idea. Get a room if you want a place to sleep, and there are better places to sleep.

So before he could actually pick up a woman he wanted to practice being with a woman so he traveled to Juarez to be with a hooker. He continued to see hookers and after his fourth trip he wanted it to be more of a girlfriend thing. So he wanted to eat her ass, however when she told him that would cost an additional 5 dollars he kind of got put off by the whole hooker thing.
As far as "The Game" alot of great stories but if you want to become a pick up artist you will probably want to read "The Rules Of The Game" I think that book is more about teaching the art of the PU.

Unless they're off shift, a club girl MUST use the club's hotel. To not do so is to risk being fired. The club keeps track of their comings and goings. Except for short meal breaks, etc, an exit from the club better be accompanied by an entry into the hotel. And vice versa.
There may be exceptions, and some chicas may break the rules, but this is just the way it is.
