About 10:00 am Monday morning I went down to Cuartos Venecia and saw Lorena out front dressed sexy as usual. Yes, this is actually Hotel Mini, not Vence. It has the long white corridor and is next to and almost directly under the sign for Bar La Capirucha.
I think the misunderstanding is that at the end of the corridor, on a board hanging over the Oficina, it says "La Habitacion Vence 12.00." This is an offer to rent living quarters to the girls, not the name of the Hotel. I've stayed there often, though I wouldn't recommend it.

I have been to TJ 5 times now in the past few months, normally during a week day. I always cruise the alley for a bit, but normally end up back at AB. The reason is all the chicas I have approached in the alley are all asking too much and trying to upsell. I know I can get a basic FS in the alley for $20 but they all try to upsell for sin ropa and again for multiple positions and again for bj. They all quote 50 for everything, but for that price I will stay at AB, where even the top hotties (Angelica, Andrea, etc.) will normally go for that.
I am firm with my price and will not go above 30 for a street chica, but none have been willing, to my complete amazement because at 2PM on a Monday for sure they are not getting much business. Yes they will. But for $20 you get easily get sex + oral + sin ropa + two positions. The first time with a new girl, I would not be asking for many positions, she does not you know and is unlikely to agree to this vague request.
Before negotiating, take a few minutes to chat with the girl. Learn her name, where she is from, compliment her, etc. This also gives her a chance to discern whether you are going to be okay to be with. I think this is key.
Relax and take some time. You will find what you want.
Let me give an example of how not to act:
Last time I was in the Alley was on Monday, May 1st. I was talking with Bela in front of Bar Valentina. I now see that it takes more finesse in the alley. Initially this seems a bit contrary to my initial impression because many of the reports have said how these chicas are all business in most cases (except for the rare mongers who repeat several times). Perhaps one needs to put them at ease more because safety and risk are more of an issue in the alley than in the more controlled and secure AB.

You can get a better deal on El Cajon when you factor in Gas.Agreed on for the most part and I believed this for years but have found a few good deals in the alley. As far as a "better deal" on El Cajon that is if you don't end up doing time, paying fines and losing your vehicle in the process. Those days are long gone for me. It's not worth the risk IMO.
So long as you take the proper precautions the risk is quite low. Just don't offer the sw any money until she gets in your vehicle and do the check. Drive a good distance from ECB to make sure the cops aren't following you.
Just follow these tips and you will be safe.The downside is that the action is fairly erratic if you want to get a good deal. But if you are patient then it is well worth it.

However, having lived and worked in Latin America, including Mexico, for 25 years I can tell you taking these videos is surely offensive to the majority of the girls and other strangers in the videos. There are two reasons: 1) many Latin Americans believe that you capture part of their soul with a camera or video, and 2) all these working girls have family and friends somewhere, most likely in another part of the country. They would not like knowing what they do for a living. Did Adelitas management ask if it's OK to video tape you? Ever notice the camcorder in the men's room up in the corner? They have others as well including the entrance outside.

Police Beheadings Reflect Drug War

Tijuana, Mexico - The caller painted an ominous scene: A convoy of 40 vehicles filled with 70 heavily armed and masked men, witnesses said, was prowling the streets of Rosarito Beach. Three police officers responded to the quiet neighborhood and were quickly abducted. A day later, their mutilated bodies turned up in an empty lot.
Nearly two dozen heavily armed gunmen in April tried to assassinate Baja California's top-ranking public safety official in a wild shootout on a Mexicali street. The attackers launched grenades and fired more than 600 rounds, wounding three bodyguards.
Over the past year, commando-style raids have been regular occurrences in Tijuana, with convoys of masked gunmen snatching victims from restaurants and street corners in brazen daylight raids.
Cartels also are using increasingly brutal methods to intimidate their enemies. The Rosarito Beach beheadings followed the decapitation in April of a police commander in Acapulco, whose head was found in a public plaza.
In Baja California, the crime wave could signal an escalation of the fierce war to control the lucrative Tijuana smuggling corridor, which has been traditionally controlled by the Arellano-Felix Cartel. Several top-ranking members of the cartel have been killed or arrested in recent years, and other cartels may be sensing weakness, say experts.
Some recent attacks were shocking for their audacity, say experts. Last month, three men armed with AK-47s stormed into an office of the Mexican Federal Attorney's office in Tijuana and shot two agents, killing one. In December, assailants attacked the Tijuana home of a state police commander, killing two of his bodyguards. In October, Tijuana's chief of homicides narrowly escaped an attack by assailants who fired more than 50 bullets at his car.
"It's a more aggressive form of violence, with new ingredients," said Victor Clark, a border expert and director of Tijuana's Binational Center for Human Rights.

I've been living in TJ for almost 20 (twenty) years. Besides a wrong turn ticket and a small car accident, I cannot recall more problems.
TJ is like a fat and ugly woman... but with a lovely and sincere heart. You just cannot forget her and will return to her arms soon.

Hi everyone. Im in San Diego on business in the next 2 weeks with alot of free time. I am hoping for some pointers as to what to do. Ill be driving to parking lot right before the border and then taking a cab str8 to Adelitas. After sampling the fun there, I was wondering where is this famous "Alley"? I am talking about rights and the difference between Mexico and the USA. Not everyone knows that once they cross the border they are in a different country. The jails are full of them. If you don't think you're different than everyone else, especially in Tijuana you'd better wake up. You're right about taking the chance, but when you are in a high risk environment and at the same time behaving yourself with that level of exposure, then add to that being foolish your chances of having a negative experience are dramatically increased.
If you posted that you were considering going into the Zona with a video camera, there would probably be an out-pouring of posts similar to the posts below, propbably from people who know a bit about it. I hardly call it bitching, it's intended to warn and caution. You need to lighten up.

i went down for my first trip on tuesday, 7/18, during the day. walked into the country and the advice i've read on this site, and a few others, couldn't have been more right on. felt like i'd been there before. They spent their evening standing in shit literally up to the chest and were then released minus all of their important and/or valuable belongings.
Now, all being said, that is an extreme case. But I hope that you can understand that just because you think it should be a certain way there, because it is here in the good ole USA, it isn't necessarily so. But hey, if you want to do it anyway, don't ***** later when you get reamed.

Sorry to hear about this. What probably happened was that the Asshole was trying to impress the girl by supplying her with "inside" information hoping to gain her favor. This is usually the case. There have been reports of PLM's waltzing into Adelitas with an armful of printouts containing trip reports on a particular girl. All hell broke loose.
All you have to do to fix it is waive your wallet at the girls. They have a short memory when it comes to this stuff. When you get the chance, tell them the reports were favorable (if they were). Most of the girls know about the boards anyway.

Finally made it to the zona and had a few hours to experience the street scene...here goes:

I've heard a few reports about walkers and "lean times" in the Zona. Seems the cops have a lot of people staying State-side and for good reason. The drop in business has affected the alley and the bars. Since shit rolls downhill, the walkers are getting meaner by the minute. they'll rip you then walk. So watch your pants, don;t shower alone or at least take your stuff into the shitter when you go.
It's time to be a bit more security conscious when in the Zona. don;t worry about the girls posting in the alley, they want your business or the girls in the clubs who are hurtingtoo.

Hello ILP, you can be assured that there will be something to satisfy your thirst when you hit the Zona. You should use your first time out to get accustomed to the area. Sometimes when it is crowded, like on a weekend for example, you can get overwhelmed and lose your bearings (or the whole axle if you know what I mean).

Now $60-$80 for the same in the alley is a good deal. It is if you are on the receiving end, not the giving end.
Heck, to a good degree, if any extra money paid to the girls went directly to the girls, I would have a lot easier time coughing up the extra dough. But call me cynical, I don't think that the girls are on the top of the money pecking order of TJ. This could be a good deal for mongers, it could also cost more. Street girls are not groomed to deliver GFE service, most if not all don't even know what that means. If you get anything close to a GFE you were either A) very lucky, B) paid a small fortune or C) are repeating with a girl you treat well and are nice to. GFE's are out there, you have to cultivate the girl however and the result should always come back better than any gringa could come up with.
But PG is right. Escort girls are pro's all the way. (Mind you there are bad apples out there too.) Very often we see in the news after a tragic event like a murder in a quiet neighborhood when people interviewed say: "I just can't believe it happened HERE."

Yeah, I would say that she is white, although I am somewhat dark-skinned myself, so maybe we have differing opinions on this. But I would definitely call her a "white girl". I haven't been to a strip club in the States in years, but I would say she has the typical white, American stripper look; tall, thin, with piercings. She even has the stripper shoes! As far as willing to please, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that, but as long as you're willing to pay extra, you should be able to get what you want. The thing is, if you're going to pay more than 400 pesos, you might just be better off getting a bar girl instead. Hizark, in San Diego, you ain't got them lined up in the street. It's a different breed of chica. While there are many vet's in the Alley, there are a lot of noobies too and they know WHY they are there, some lack expereince however and then again some just plain don't care.
