For guys like me who are curious about the 35 dollar Jacuzzi room, has anyone taken a chica there and if so what's it like? Is it a nice step up from the regular room?The room is nicer, a lot nicer but you have to get it for 3 hours and also pay the girl for three hours.

I was having a beer in AB at the bar, sitting on a stool near the Ladies room and checking out the scenery. I went to Tijuana in 2010 and for the most part failed miserably. I was using a different site for info and basically just didn't know what was up. This one I'll keep brief. Out of all the clubs, Adelitas is the only one second to HK. What I liked about it was it's grungy appeal. The girls were a little more friendly, which was fun. The only real failing of the Ticuan is their "don't ask, don't tell" policy. If an unescorted lady comes down the elevator, they just let her leave. I've only taken the room with a favorita, after we'd been drinking and deciding on an extended session. Three hours can seem like a long time to pay for if you haven't had a GFE with the chica already.
It's worth a go.

Rates are about 50-60 dollars and its only a 3-5 dollar cab ride to the zona norte. Chavelas is still next door to AB. Maybe you have had a bad experience with a chica from Sinaloa, I have too in the past, but to say all of them are to be avoided is a bit of a broad generalization.

The difference is you need to bring your own chica inside since there isn't a lineup like in the main room. Some girls will work the VIP room but the vibe I got was management discourages the girls from being overly aggressive. There's a stage and a constant stream of dancers.
The do serve top shelf liquors and will make blender drinks but I usually only drink beer and mineral water. The key difference I noticed was last weekend rather than the Ciel mineral water from the main room, they gave me a Perrier. Last night I got a Voss water. The price for the water was $4 instead of the $3. 25 in the main room. The funny thing is I actually prefer the Mexican fizzy waters to the European brands. The girls I've taken to the VIP area have usually stuck with the juice or basic drinks that still are $7 so there's not a huge price premium for being in there. What you don't get the dirtier stage shows of the main room (however it is on some of the monitors, like that channel on the rooms in the hotel that have TVs). They built this fancy water feature and second floor but with more seating but the only time I've seen anyone up there was once I saw a girl taking her lunch up there while on break.
Last night the main room was at capacity. Super busy where it takes 5 minutes to get fro the door to the bathroom. But the VIP area was sill pretty mellow. The trip report is a little late, been pretty busy since returning from San Diego.
I started my journey from my hotel. I decided to stay at the Hampton Inn on PCH. I chose it for price & proximity. Left around noon on Sunday. I thought the Blue Line Trolley that goes to San Ysidro stopped there at the "Little Italy" station, however, as of Spetember 1st, the Blue Line only goes to America Plaza. No worries, it wasn't even a half mile walk to catch the trolley. I had read that you can get a day pass for $5. I didn't realize that in order to get the card that the day pass is used on, you must spend an additional $2. I don't know what I was thinking paying the additional two as I was only going to utilize it twice, so I ended up spending more than what the actual fare would have been. Bonehead move on my part.
The trip on the trolley didn't take too long. I think it was around 45 to 50 minutes. I hadn't been in SD since 2005. Maybe I just ignored the homeless population before, but there seemed to be allot of homeless navigating the streets of downtown. There were even make-shift shanty's right on the street in some places. Any locals notice an uptick in the homeless population in the last few years? A just chalk it up to the sign of the times. Better to be homeless in SD than in Minneapolis for instance. Winters aren't quite as harsh. Anyway, Got off the trolley and headed south down the street the McDonalds is on. Whoops, wrong way. Completely lost my bearings. Not a good way to start my border crossing. Ended up back to the ped. Bridge. Decided to take "a" pic of the Tijuana skyline over the bridge. Got yelled at by a crazy drunken Mexican. He told me "Gordo, no photos!" and kept repeating all the way down to the turnstile. I decided to hang back a few minutes so this asshole wouldn't make any trouble for me on the other side.
Made my way through the turnstile. Got to the McDonalds. Popped into a yellow taxi (sat up front as suggested). Told the driver "Adelitas, por favor." Driver started our short jaunt to Coahuila. The driver asked if I had heard of "Purple Rain?" I insisted that he take me to Adelitas as I was meeting some friends. We had an interesting coversation along the way about international pussy from what I could understand, with his broken English and my broken Spanish. He dropped me off up front and yelled out to the messero "tenga mucho cuidado de mi carnal." The messero ushered me in and gave me the run down. I sat down at the bar and ordered an Equis doble. I will say knowing spanish made me feel more at ease, but even if I didn't the atmosphere was very laid back and fun. Not to say you shouldn't be safe but just go with confidence and you should be fine.

Last night I went found a hot new girl from Monterrey and went upstairs for a 30 minute session. They gave us room 107 which is one of their nicer rooms. I've gone with Marbella a few times too. I don't see anything wrond with buying a chica a drink, particularly if it translates to better service upstairs. Is it in the back area that is now closed by a door? When do they open this area? Admittedly, I've only been there during the daytime now. The place is quieter and has better lighting. It does have two levels (have not been on the second level myself). I don't even think the drinks cost more in there.

Actually if I may offer a different opinion, I kind of enjoy waiting in line just to see what everyone else is doing, how different chicas look under the white light, and not the dim red / orange lights in the bar, which kind of fucks up your perception of their skin tone, also, great chance to check out if you chica is going to be friendly in the room, ie, if she's fidgeting, and not wanting to be there, or how she handles seeing other clients, etc. In my experience, the good chicas will continue to be really friendly and touchy feely, and even if she sees her other clients, she doesn't look away, but rather give a customary wave of the hand, works for me.

The standard rate at AB is $60. Yes, some chicas will ask for $70, and there are numerous reasons why, but you can easily counter with $60. Even as reasonable as $60 sounds, there are some dudes that will still try to grind them down to $40 or $50, so can you blame a chica for wanting to start high?
Some chicas that I know who've left HK and started working at AB will still try to ask for $70, even though they know the standard rate. I know a couple of chicas who've been at AB a while, all-business-types, that will ask for $70 from anyone they thnk is new, or will agree to $60 downstairs, but try to get an upsell fee in the room.
The choice is yours of course, but you'll get plenty of grief from others if you participate in the inflated rates. Just spend some time to ask downstairs for the rate and activities you want.

When that happened, AB average went to $50 and LC to $40. Now that CC is on life support, HK, as arguably the most popular club in the ZN, has assumed the lead in setting price, with some top tiers asking $80 and up. This gives the top tiers at AB the freedom to ask at least $70. Seems like there is always one club where the chicas are in highest demand and they are the ones that set the top prices that, as a consequence, drive the going rate for the rest of the ZN. I'm not an economist, but it seems like common sense that if you keep a lid on the prices at the top bar, you hold prices down for the rest of the zona as well.
Keep in mind that these are just "first offers" by the chicas in a culture that thrives on negotiation and bargaining. If a chica quotes a price that's way out of line with the average, it either means she doesn't want to go up with you or she's waiting to make a killing on a single rich (or naive) customer. But before your first trip I suggest you read Brockton O'Tool's TJ Guide. Then read about the last 10 pages (or more) in the Adelita, Hong Kong, and General sections of the Tijuana thread.
