He recommends Merlin Dive shop. Also told me there's some better places like cave diving or areas near paradise island that have better creatures including sharks. I would reach out to him if you're interested in finding some interesting expeditions.

When I was staying in the Alicia Beach hotel I was in a lot of pain from some dental work that had been performed on me that day. So, I asked the security guard where I could get some pain medicine. He pointed me to a pharmacy located on Dr. Alejo Martinez. It was an excellent recommendation and I continue to exclusively use the pharmacy initially recommended to me to this day.
If you are walking along Dr. Alejo Martinez and you hit La Puntilla you have passed it. A landmark is the empanada shop almost right across the street from it. I found the prices to be comparable to what I pay in Santo Domingo este. A little higher but not outrageous. Which is to be expected considering they probably do not have the volume. Over all there are many pharmacies located in Sosua and all are within easy walking distance if you are price sensitive.
I thought I posted a review of the empanada shop. But I could not find it. So I will do it here. Their empanadas are excellent there. The are full of the fillings and there are many varieties. If it is not late in the day (before closing) they will make more of a type if they are out of something you like. That occurred after I became a regular visitor. The girl on shift when I would usually visit was learning English. She liked to practice with me. The fresh juices are good too. I don't know if hers were good as I did not taste them.
My only complaint is that it is set up for tourists with the pricing. You don't see any Dominicans buying out of there. I have not found the Dominican empanada shop yet. The big change is that there is very little action on the old main drag. Classicos and the bars are no longer open. Rumbas still is meeting spot but no where a busy as it was when you were last on the seen. Bailees is where most guys post up to see some nice eye candy. Can I compare it to other mongering places in the world? No I cannot. I do not travel to monger. I travel for business, personal experiences and growth. Sosua is what it is. It has the same soul as Las Vegas in the United States of America. A playground where you can make your fantasies come true. It is like no other place in the Dominican Republic.
I have had conversations with visitors that have a desire to live here because of the experiences they have had in Sosua. I tell them that before they make that decision they need to get out and see the real Dominican Republic. Imagine if someone formed their impressions of the United States of America based on a trip to Las Vegas. LOL!
I don't understand why the beach is not utilize more. The police harassed the girls walking the streets. However, I've never seen the police arrest any Chicas on the beach.
On the beach the Chicas can wear string bikinis if they desire. It's right near the strip and Bailey's however you could take a stroll there and only find a small amount of chicas working the area.Grownman that is a good point. A chica and I were eating delicious pizza at Pirate Bay. Thanks to the fellas on the Sosua board for the great pizza recommendation. It has amazing views of the beach. I observed from an overwatch position some working chicas on the beach. There were fewer numbers and seemed to be hassled less frequently.
We walked from Pirates Bay to the hotel. As we passed by a few spots full of guys eating, casa Valeria restaurant. The chica would grab her phone to tell three or four others in a chicas wassap group chat, here is the chicos, the "prey" hanging out feeding in large groups and no Politur police around. I laughed hard about the shark analogy used on this board.
While we were walking I was trying to find a place that plays top Dominican music, has bachata dancing and working chicas, within walking distance, or a short moto concho ride. Any recommendations?

Who the fuck needs a guide for a five block area with a beach? It's elementary Watson unless you can't make friends. Dudes saying the New Sosua is better than the old Sosua are just late to the game and making up crazy statements just for an argument or attention. You hangout and the game comes to you, no need to be guided around like a lost dog.
Let me see; did the price of pussy go down to make it better? Nope. Did the attitude of the girls change for the better? No. Are there less guys no competition? No. Are there more clubs and venues? No. Girls go from fucking the whole weekend for 40 usd to 80 usd an hour, and it's gotten better?
Look. Sosua is still fun and has a certain appeal for some groups of guys. But for me it's a pass through spot to see the circus and check in with old friends I have known for years. I would suggest to any vet to try POP or Cabarette.
Actually I think Sosua is missing out on a great opportunity right now. Two friends opened up spots in Sosua recently and they are called "VIP" and " Where is brookland at" and they are having trouble getting client's, most guys just go to Ahnvee or Rumbas / Kings. So if you are in the establishment's I appreciate the patronage.
In closing, the streets of Sosua are for weekend warriors and newbies to shop. Most ex pats that live there have regulars and usually shop in the surrounding areas for fresher girls. It cracks me up to see guys that live in the DR only to discover Sosua 7 years later and now preach on the street walkers. I guess it's better late than never.
Not my type of place. But my friends like it and invited me to join them out. That place was packed with girls. It has a certain ambiance that I am unable to describe using the appropriate language that would be accurate. That is why I think new people should just goto Sosua and experience it for themselves and make that decision on what they like and what they don't like.
You see, when your entire expat life does not revolve about partying with your boys and getting pussy, your eyes can be open to all of the experiences and opportunities provided by living in the Dominican Republic.
If Sousa is worse than the Sosua of old it is the only place that has not improved for the entire time I have been living in the Dominican Republic. By any objective measure almost everything here has improved since I have been here. What is funny is that POP is an airport. Not many girls you can take out. But there are many in Puerto Plata. And Cabarete. And I get them to come to me by finding them on Tinder. My online experiences have been great. No matter where I have been in the country. And I have had great experiences meeting chicas in person here in Sosua. And all over this beautiful country.
The great thing about the entire Dominican Republic is that you can make it into whatever you choose to make it into for yourself. You do not have to listen to anyone else's opinion of this place or that place. You just operate in the manner that best works for you.
Individuals posting on this board that are stuck in the past seem to not notice that progress is being made everywhere. Progress means change. And change is hard for some people. That is ok. Instead of throwing negativity at Sosua and those who like it, I don't understand why they just don't post what is good about where it is they like to hang out. You know "useable intelligence". But they are too busy playing word games with me. While I keep posting up my experiences. Curious how those who claim to disavow all negativity keep reverting to it themselves.
Now don't get me wrong. I do not post about everything I do. I do not post everything about my experiences in campo or the experiences others have shared in campo. I don't speak about everything that I have seen as I have traveled throughout this country. Places that are never even mentioned ever in the Dominican Republic forums.
With "boots on the ground" and with my own eyes. I see hundred girls in just Kings alone. There is a deep bench that I left sitting of over 30-40 girls that have not been invited to table along with many that are just rooming. I passed 20 entering into the place as I was leaving. And one girl I passed tapped me on my shoulder to get my attention as I was leaving. And remember this is just one venue of many that exist to cater to visitors. People are voting with their feet and their money. And many people are choosing to vote for Kings.
Sosua exists now. The many visitors and the girls that show up to entertain them by selling sexual / social services seem to be happy in their symbiotic relationship. I have been reading about the "death of Sosua" for years now in the forum. I have read in the papers here how they plan to clean up Sosua. But gentlemen, I am pleased to report:

In May 2016: the USD / DOP 45. In Augest 2022: USD / DOP 53. In May 2016:1500. In Augest 2022: due to inflation 1500 DOP is now 1864 DOP. In May of 2015:1500 = 33.33 USD (USD / DOP was 45) In Augest 2022:1864 = 35.17 (USD / DOP is 53). Now we are set up for our analysis with hard numbers (not idealized glory days statements).
In real terms even if you factor in inflation your actual increase has been less than 2 USD (for the 1500 equivalent of 1864 DOP today). You read that right gentlemen less than two dollars.
If you say a short time was 1500 in 2016 and a short time is 3000 in 2022. In USD a short time was 33.33 USD and today a short time is 56.60 USD. That is increase of 23.27 USD. If you cannot afford that now then maybe you should not be buying a plane ticket, paying for a hotel and food for your trip. Maybe what you should be doing is staying home and making more money. Check your ISG history and figure out who said "It is not the money it is about respect". The person who said that does not understand Dominican Culture. I know this from experience.
Now I cannot speak the the quality of the experiences that others have had. But mine have not changed one bit since I have been going to Sosua. I always have a good time. And that is all that matter. That I am having a good time. If you look at the line up of girls who sell me social / sexual services, A third are from Puerta Plata. A third are from areas outside of Sosua but close. And a third I grab off the street. And I set up in Sosua and I only have to move via my feet for my entire stay unless I decide to hop on a moto (something I avoid doing as much as possible).
I am going to remind everyone that there are people disparaging Sousa right now that were critical of me because I had lived in the Dominican Republic for two years and had not gone to Sosua. The more time passes the more things change. They are like former smokers who now are the most anti-smoking people that you know. LOL! Everything changes. If those changes are good or bad depends on your perspective.
I made my first trip report to Sosua in this forum on 05/22/2016. It is fortunate that I am a "man in the arena" and I know that the critics don't count. I ignore them.

I don't go to KFC or McDonald's here in the Dominican Republic where I live nor in the United States of America when I return to handle personal business. Why, because I can get better chicken at a Pica Pollo than I do at KFC. It is higher quality and lower cost. If I want a fast food hamburger I goto Burger King in both here and the Dominican Republic. It should be noted that there is not a KFC, McDonald's or Burger King in Sosua. There is a Pica Pollo though.

It's funny how a guy who promotes getting out and doing it yourself had to get invited to Rumbas LOL. He was too scared to go by himself. Airport codes are sometimes used to name the cities like STI tells me they are talking Santiago while MDE to describe Medellin. Not really hard to figure out that POP means Puerto Plata. It's funny how dude has been in Sosua and not one trip report or hanging out having a good time. Only post was having dinner with a vet in Sosua.

It just so happens that in the middle of this afternoon hunger pains hit me fierce. The crew I am running with was not interested in eating where I wanted to eat. Different tastes for different people. And I am cool with that. I am not one to hang with the group just to feel like I am being included. When I am on a real team that is doing something significant, yes. I will take one for the team in a moment. But hanging out looking for girls who want to sell me social sexual services, nah, I am taking care of my own needs first.

My food came out in two parts and I enjoyed the food, the view and the ocean breeze immensely. The Chef came out to greet me. Another warm reunion. It was outstanding.
You and I understand how Sosua is so much more than just the girls. It is about being on another level actually. Everything in life does not have to cater to the base desires of the self styled "veterans" posting about the Dominican Republic (LOL). That is why I think individuals who are only focused on sexual / social services and "hanging out with their boys" that say they don't like the Sosua and have moved on. Except they have not. Those with less experience operating here would do well to read, and pay attention, then put in to play the principles that my fellow "men in the arena" espouse like Mr. Coolie.

But I just cannot resist looking for new girls and seeing if I can get one to come on for the team price that allows me to stay under the salary cap. LOL!.
But when making comparisons with regular workers in the Dominican Republic that is where we part ways. The girls I see that are probably commanding those prices are paying for hair, nails, make-up, outfits. They have travel expenses, lodging expenses, dining out expenses. If they get picked up by the local controlling legal authorities they spend a nasty night in jail, and can be fined or extorted (for money and sexual favors). I am not making excuses for the prices they are charging. But they are not normal workers. They are independent contractors. I am trying to give perspective to those that think there is "all this money" being made by these girls. Anyone who knows Dominican Culture, knows that these girls are supporting way more than just themselves with this activity. And there is a social stigma that comes with it in the higher levels of society.
Everyone must do what works for them. And if they like it, I love it. You and I have options and we don't have to pay those asking prices. Girls know this by how we treat them and they respect that. I always tell them 2 K pesos. Most girls say no, I shrug and start to walk away, then they grab my arm to negotiate. Half the time they agree, other times, I get it for 2500 pesos. A person doesn't have to be a vet to get those prices, they just can't be an idiot. They bottom line is a guy has to know the language, macho culture, and be able to stand his ground. Stick with that and it doesn't matter how many chumps want to blow their money to change the curve. 2 K is still very doable, I'm doing it, and having good times.

One of the vets said he just started dealing with girls he knew from Boca Chica. Those chica were willing to work with him on the 3000 peso deal. Other than that the Chicas were treating everyone like new gringos. Off with their heads!
On a good note, everyone enjoyed themselves. I told them da Su need guys like them. As for me traveling to the Su for those Chicas is equivalent to traveling to Haiti for chocolate. I can find what I’m looking with no problems without stepping in that direction.

Curiously, the rich have never lost the tradition and the knowledge that no price is the "final price" : indeed in the stock market, there is always an "ask" and a "bid" price and there is a "spread" between the two. So, the weekend "millionaires" should know that it is indeed an attribute of the rich to hear out the ask price and then bid, no matter how large the spread is. Of course, be prepared to walk away, if our smaller brain allows that to happen. Enjoy!

Funny thing. I went to the jewelry store in the states a couple of weeks ago. I asked to see a necklace. It had $4700 written on the tag. Dude fooled with the calculator and said with the sale price it will be $3940. I said and what is the weight of it? He said 26.4 grams. I said and what is the spot price of 18 K gold today? He did not know so he got the manager and she looked it up online. It was $41/ gram. (Of course I had already looked it up before entering the store.) I said so you are expecting people to pay 4 times what this thing is worth?
She immediately cut the price to $1900. I laughed and exchanged contact info with the manager and left the store. How many people have gone in there and paid the $4700 for $1100 worth of gold? Or better yet jumped at the supposed "discount" price of $3900 which in actuality is over 3 times the value? All I can do is shake my damn head.

Santiago doesn't have a beach so it takes strikes. I've traveled the world and seen some beautiful sights but Santiago and Medellin have really left an impression.
They are both land locked and no beaches close by. But it's the way they sit in the valley that strikes me as the most natural.
Medellin sits in a valley like a cup. At night the hills make the backdrop. The lights and mountains create a perfect picture.
Santiago at night from up in the hills is magical. The city sits there in all her beauty like you can reach out and touch it. Santiago is clean and the girls are.

And I concur that the quality of the girls in Sosua are not that high anymore. On my scale they are 5's, 6's and 7's at best. They are far from being the hottest girls you can find on the island. But there are a huge number of them. I do not know what anyone is talking about when they say there are not many girls available in Sosua anymore. At best I would think they would say there are not that many super hot girls in Sosua anymore walking the street.

I disagree that the prices are being driven up based on what the majority of guys visiting Sosua are willing to pay. You only need to pay what you choose too. Work out a price with her and hop on a moto for a ride to the place I referenced above. Other option is to rent a room for the day in Sosua.

1) As Mr. E noted, the vast majority of Sosua is in person point and click, not FB or whatapp like other spots.
2) Most of us will not give a girls contact to someone without her permission, let alone someone we've never met. This is a recipe for disaster (guy doesn't pay, doesn't tip, asks for weird stuff, isn't clean, etc.).
3) The first thing you did in this forum is demand something. Human nature with any group wherein people have invested time is to be turned off by that. You haven't given anything and we sure as hell aren't being paid for this (nor do we need to be).
The above noted, I suggest you focus on learning a little bit of Spanish, hitting the streets, and outside of that you can try LA Cupid and other Dominican sites. Again, as noted above, the DR is much more a 'in person' type of place than online. Sosua is all of 3 or 4 blocks, so you won't be overwhelmed. 1) Will use Tinder to see what I can get out of Puerto Plata and Cabarete.
2) Will try to get some information and rates for seeing girls at Oasis resort for incalls.
3) Will visit Sosua during the day and scope it out and get used to it. Maybe go to Captain Bailee and walk on Perdo Clisante and see what I can find. If I find someone decent, maybe take her to the Dulce secreto cabana.

The plan was to catch the 8:30 am express to Sosua from Santo Domingo but I woke up at 8 pm. Now the plan was the 9:30 am express. As I'm on the Carib tours bus I start to get all these videos from friends saying the police are now shutting down Sosua beach with heavy police presence, WTF. The Congrejo bridge can't take heavy duty vehicles so my trip was prolonged as we detoured.
Arrived in Sosua and headed straight to the Tree House on the beach for the chicken wrap. It is a Tuesday so I expected the beach to be slow and it was. As I'm eating my wrap the 3 wassap groups I'm in are discussing the new beach closures and the police presence and saying Sosua is a wrap. I'm laughing as I let it marinate before I send them a video and burst their bubbles.
Then I post a video of me partying on Sosua beach in current time. Something is going on with the police, the Sosua vendors and the main hotel being built on the highway, but nobody really knows.
Did a Sosua walk through and it was slow with slim pickings. Then I stopped in to talk to a couple bar owners that I know.
I'm not really feeling the girls I see on the street so I might do a oldie but goody repeat from yesteryear.

The place where I typically stay in Sosua is booked during the period of 11/19-26 which I did not expect. Could any of the Sosua afficionados send me their recommendations for a similar place (an apartment with kitchen and independent entry) in Sosua? It's Wednesday September 14 at 12:30 pm. The beach is open but it's not a lot of people here. The parking lot at the bottom of the hill was mostly empty.
Talk to my boy Kobe, he owns a beach restaurant number 63 or 64 I think. He said the big hotel being built on the highway wants a portion of the beach for its clients to have exclusively. First they wanted half the beach, now they want the beach divided into 3 sections with the hotel having an exclusive section. There is supposed to be a big meeting in Santo Domingo about this.
IMO they are all jockeying for positions. Something is going to happen but we don't know exactly what.

You seem to be a candidate for the kind of advice a lot of members have given other newbies. Which is:
Spend a a couple days at Blackbeards, and their local beach and restaurants, to acclimatize yourself to the basic culture, and then venture to Sosua, just to check things out. Check in at one of the recommended hotels for at least one night, and keep your options open.
In a couple of days, you will see how everything works, and whether or not it works for you. You can't expect to operate like a vet, if you have even checked the basic things out for yourself.
Checking things out, should be part of the fun for a first timer. Like a first date. There are so many options that, you need to be flexible, and play thing by ear at first. Then you can zero in like a laser at the things you like about the place, and avoid the rest.
It's unlikely that any pre-planned schedule for a first time visit to Sosua will last more than day one, but that's part of the fun, the adventure, and meeting new people.
As Sammon says, keep your valuables locked up, and don't carry more money than you need for the day. ATM's are available, don't use a credit card. Don't take any chica you haven't had at least a basic conversation with, and some understanding with. That's asking for trouble. The Minister of tourism did post something on Twitter yesterday that in my opinion is foreshadowing the beginning of construction soon, let's face it, El Presidente didn't come to Sosua TWICE and speak of what is happening and not follow through with it. What nobody has stated including the President is WHEN. But make note of the last sentence in the Tweet from Mr. Collada. Key word "starting". There is also a rumor and I repeat rumor that all of this will include the closing of certain bars on Pedro Clisante but we've all seen that movie before, but again I will refer to Collardo's tweet.

See this is why when it comes to Sosua and the surrounding areas I don't trust shit til it actually happens. And even when it happens I don't fully trust it til whatever they tend to do is FULLY complete. I know you've seen it plenty of times down there where you have alot of foriegn investers throwing big money around to only have unfinished projects. Not saying that change won't happen regarding the beach but I'm betting money that by the time change actually happens most of the OGs on here will be dead and gone or will find a better place to lounge at.
Hell new sousa will be called the new new with the new sosua guys arguing with the new new crowd to not spend $350 US dollars on a chica that you couldve gotten in his day for $150 LOL.Even if they start construction tomorrow they will probably build one section at a time, which means the beach will always be open or they will lose money.
A new development might be good for the beach. The food is already expensive, it will probably not be much different if there is new development. More than 50% of folks at the beach are workers, beggars, or those grown men always trying to call people to ask if you need a girl. So 50% of people at the beach are not needed. If they build new hotels, restaurants etc. They will still need tourists. Same thing with kings or Bailes, to keep tourists they need girls.
Whatever they are trying to build I don't see it becoming a family spot. Wanting to stop prostitution is the excuse to kick out all the current vendors and business owners at sosua beach. Once it's done whatever is built would have to adapt to the tourists on the ground.
To my well traveled vets. What other countries and cities have similar set ups like Sosua. The bar / club / restaurant where all the women there are chicas and you hit a central location to peruse. Inlike Sosua but it's becoming too popular for my taste. Still nee to this international mongering thing.
I just returned Sunday after 10 days in Sosua -- a few observations.
* The New Garden was operating at about 30 % capacity and it looks Lorenzo has not put a dime into the place in over 10 years. The noise level was high and I had problems getting a good night sleep plus the kitchen is not up too par either.
* Rumbas is the biggest eye sore on the strip and is nothing more than a South Bronx bingo hall with plastic tables, flat screen tvs and extremely loud rapp / hip hop music.
* Classicos is still closed.
* Many of the Dominican girls are using cocaine so watch for the rolling jaw and sniffles side effects before bringing them back to the hotels as this stuff makes them unpredictable.
* Dozens of failed business throughout the town of Sosua none of which will be coming back anytime soon so do your homework if your contemplating owning a business there.
* I'm going to guess that 60 % of the girls on the strip are Haitian.
* Sosua is no longer cheap as I was spending about $150 a day (does not include hotel).
* The strip and the beach are very relaxing during the daytime hours.
* I recommend the Gym on the 3rd floor of the Casino. Spectacular views but equipment is somewhat outdated.
* Found a few very good restaurants such as Pirates Bay, Margots, Germany Restaurant, and Stevens for great coffee and pastries. Alot of people swear by Baileys but its really nothing more than a TGI Fridays with a thatched roof.
* I was invited to the Sea Horse Ranch for a day and it was spectacular. The 5 bedroom villas rent for appx 3 thousand dollars a night. Its a gated community for wealthy individuals.
* The going rate for girls was between 2500 to 4000 pesos.
* Most of the available girls are 6's,7's and 8's on the beauty scale -- there were no 9's and 10's on the strip.
* Approxitmatly 65 percent of the Tourists are African American.
* There are alot of beautiful Dominican women who are not for sale. They flirt aggressively and are looking to establish relationships.
IMHO Sosua is in bad shape and has become more of a hard core mongering destination and if hotels are built on the beach the partys over.
Sosua is more a weekend Warrior spot these days. This makes the girls more hardcore. I have only seen one girl use coke in all my years but things do change. I am planning a trip next month not sure if I will stay in SD or go to Sosua. I have 4 or 5 chicas in SD who will want to shack up but I enjoy the comradery with the fellows hanging out in Sosua. Plus you always see something new on the strip. Seeing 9's and 10 is a lot rarer these days for sure, Classicos was a sure thing for that. However the casino on the weekends has quite a few highend girls. Some could make you consider $150 or more. Our boy Russell Taylor is rolling out of the DR. Good guy interesting story.

They actually charge you for taxes when getting a room. I do feel they have one of the best breakfast areas near the strip.
None of the rooms have balconies. It has more of a dormitory feel. A lot newer, updated, and cheaper airbnb's are all around the area.
My man Gogo used to go there a lot. He had got used to the place and the price until I convince him to try something different. He's never been back and may never return. That was maybe five or six years ago.
Currently in Boca Chica you can get a newer dated two bedroom apartment with a kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and balcony for the same price.

I have been to Boca Chica a few times and doubt if I will ever go back. Too many hustlers on the beaches and the women not what I was looking for. Hardcore Haitians and Dominicanas. I prefer Juan Dollio a bit more upscale. Night life in Boca was disappointing in comparison to Sosua. If I had never been to Sosua I would settle for Boca Chica. Sosua has better food. Beaches and women.

I'm posting a few other observations which I had forgotten:
Best currency exchange is available at the Caribe Express store. The street vendors were at 5200 pesos = $100 .
The girls start arriving on the strip at 7. 30 pm and start clearing out around 12.30 am.
The laundromat for same day service is located directly across the street from the Alicia Beach hotel. The cost was 700 persos for 5 pound load.
The guaguas (small bus) traveling From Sosua to Cabarete can be ridden for 150 pesos. The pickup location is across the street from the Texaco station near the carwash. These buses are efficient and cheap however they are crowded.
Dominican water should be avoided at all costs as. This trip was the first time I've ever had issuses and it wreaked havic on my intestines causing me to lie in bed for a day recovering. I reccomend traveling to the DR with activated charcoal pills.
My amigo who lives in Sosua reccomends that frequent US travelers to Sosua enroll in the Global Entry program for fast customs clearence. He and his friends are also big proponents of the Jet Blue credit cards for travel rewards -- I cannot vouch for qaulity of these credit cards.
There is alot of cannibis available and some of good qaulity however there is a 30 day jail sentence if apprehended. The hotel guests at New Garden were smoking 24 hours a day and nobody seemed to care. I would not reccomnend smoking on the street or beach.

You will have no problemSosua is perfect for the long ranger. You can do all the things you mentioned with no problem. The weekend action is the best with a few 100 girls floating around mostly at the casino playa Chiquito. Lots of friendly gringos to socialize with. I have been traveling solo for over 10 years and highly recommend it. Everything is very close and easy to move around.

Did you drink tap water, brush your teeth or what? My understanding is that all merchants use commercial ice in the DR, which is very cheap, so shouldn't be an issue.
Also, while Global Entry is a great thing for anyone who travels internationally, it doesn't have anything to do with customs outside the US. It expedites the security check on departure via TSA Precheck and immigration / customs clearance on return to the US. Just thought I'd mention that.
Also, I already mentioned this in one of my reports, but POP has an arrival lounge that offers Fast Track Customs, Immigration and Luggage services. Highly, highly recommended. If you have Priority Pass, which is available with many credit cards, it can save hours waiting in line, not even mentioning free cold brews.
You are correct about Global Entry -- All my contacts in Sosua are from the USA.
I was brushing my teeth with tap water so that's what I "think" caused problem.
I have a friend on the ground who advised me that there are 100's of girls on the ground. This may be the Christmas rush but it is good for us. I had to make a tough decision this week between a sure good thing in SD or the wild card of in Sosua. I opted for Sosua because the variety is so tempting.

I'm on another board that's all about Sosua and the a lot of the vets are posting trip reports from those places. I think vets moved on along time ago Sosua is mostly newbies a few vets who have friends in town and guys that don't know most countries have a mongering location. I myself live in Pattaya.

Just returned from a 6-day trip to Sosua. Many have helped me along the way with such informative postings, so I wanted to reciprocate soonest.
Venues:
Bailee's. Wifi is awesome. Lots of ladies. More on the trashy side. Hardcore street types. The food was good. Had the Cuban sandwich. The bread was really fresh and the pork was very tasty. Huge portion. I could've eaten only half and been more than fine.
Rumbas. No Wifi. Good for Sports. Many ladies of all shapes and sizes, pace yourselves as there are lots. Food is typical bar food and the service is very good.
Schlemmer Stube. No Wifi. Mostly older white guy crowd, service is average. A lot of ladies out front on the street. Can be aggressive, hold on to your stuff. Not allowed inside without escort.
La Patrona. Good Wifi. Great service. Good pizza, the crust is awesome. See Rosa, Second or Yosi.
Hotel Don Andres. Good Wifi. Quiet, Older crowd, no drama. No chicas unless you bring your own. Rooms are nice and away from the strip, close enough to walk. See Chris, Mgr for anything you might need, great guy. BBQ Buffet on Thursdays, 600 p.
Rosy's Empanada. No wifi. Great snack for all hours. Hours are convenient. Same road as Bailee's and Banco Popular.
Tips for Non-Pro's.
Google Translate. A must if your Spanish isn't solid. Utilize the offline option and the / l the Spanish dictionary so that you can use it when wifi is not available. Makes life much simpler. Do not expect the girls to speak English, most do not.
Toothbrush kits. Most of the girls are smokers. I prefer not to have an ashtray in my bed. Most will take a shower; however, rarely do they carry toothbrushes. I bring 10 or so every time I travel and get them at the Dollar Store or Wal-mart, for $1. 25. Comes with toothpaste as well. A nice touch.
ATM fees. While ATMs are plentiful and easy to use, the fees will kill you. The local banks hit you on the front end and your home bank will smack you on the back end. My personal choice is Chas Schwab. No intl transaction fees!
"E-ticket". You will not be able to board on either end without it. Use the DR. Gov option as there is also a private company that mimics the site for a fee. Do not use that site. The DR. Gov site is free, and takes 5 minutes.
Note: you can only do it 72 hours in advance. AA made me do it again at the airport as I was a day too early, a minor inconvenience.
Burner Phone. Highly advise getting one for any extracurricular activities (pics, chats, maintaining contacts, etc). My "base" phone doesn't leave the room as I take my burner to use on the streets. If I lose it, so be it. More importantly, if it gets "swiped", I won't care. I've traveled to over 50 countries and can't express the importance of using such.
Burner Visa. Good for those transactions to various sites that you want to keep "off the books". I use Bluebird. Great app and super easy to load with funds.
WhatsApp. Download it and get accustomed to using it. Good for contacting chicas, calling taxis, and also buds that you will undoubtedly run across. Works very well with wifi for video and texting.
Expenses. Sosua is NOT cheap. Plan to spend $120 per day on average for budgeting purposes. Yes, I'm sure I'll hear that it can be done for less and I am certain it can, I'm only sharing my spending habits. See below for a typical day trip to Cabarete Beach (20-25 minutes).
Trans: 800 each way=1,600 p.
Drinks for 2 / 2 each=1,200 p.
Snack / Lunch for 2=1,000 p.
Chairs / Umbrella / Table rental for the day=400 p.
Note: Do not be the guy that tried to split the bill with his "date" for drinks / lunch. Yes, while we were at Playa Sosua, serious drama occurred between an ex-pat (French perhaps?) and a chica where they both ordered drinks and a normal lunch. When the bill came, he expected her to pay half. Clearly, this arrangement was not discussed in advance given the very loud conversation that ensued. My chica got a kick out of it and then she asked me if I would ever do that to her. I told her that I was not like that. To me, it's understood that if we go out, I will pay.
Transportation. I have a guy that I use via Whatsapp (PM for contact). Very, very dependable and his fees are commensurate with other trans services. Yes, he doesn't work for free, and sometimes, I get a bit of a break. The difference is the service as I never have to worry about him being late, upcharges, etc. You will find there are set prices for various venues as many ex-pats have been before you. You can negotiate a little, not much.
Chicas. My style is to "wife" one for the length of my stay versus trying several every day / night. I was super lucky and found a 25 why / o cutie with a solid body (sans kids) and we were able to make a deal for 4 days. We stayed home for two nights as she cooked dinner. Truly awesome as it was real dinner. Rice, baked chicken, and a salad. I have friends that hit 3 or 4 chicas a day and while there is nothing wrong with such, just not my style. Plenty of inventory, just depends on how hard you want to work and of course, how much you want to spend.

Had 2 good friends in the SU so I passed on spending the night in SD. Flight arrived in SD at 330 pm. My driver picked me up and dropped me at Caribe Tours for the express bus. I arrived in Sosua at 10 pm. It was Friday night and Rumbas had close to 100 girls posted up. In general the girls were attractive and some jaw dropping bodies. I just got back home and things are a bit fuzzy but I did 6 girls 3 were new. The girls all performed very well. One of my repeats has a car and offered to let me have it when ever I needed. She also rolls a great joint. One of the new girls freaked me out a bit. She loved porn and did a marathon session with the vibrator. I thought I was in a movie.
Had several side street girls offer 2 k pesos for sessions. I passed but may give it a shot next trip. All the girls were good for 3500. I ate at new places this trip not once did I eat at Baillees. I made the mistake of eating at Rumbas. Got fried chicken that was under cooked never again. There 70 guys in Rumbas for the Monday night foot ball game. I have to say after all these years I still get excited when I step into the SU. Seeing 100 girls waiting to be fucked is a dream come true.

When you fine a girl you like you work the details. I budget 100 or a little leas for all day service. Sometimes you can mix in gifts to reduce the cash. If you fine a girl who is not a street girl do not hang out in Sosua. You will not be happy with one girl in Sosua. There are so many options you. Sport fucking is too tempting in Sosua.

Costs is dependent on a number of variables: type of accommodation, location, how badly she needs the money, whether can momma watch the kids, etc. As I stated, I got truly LUCKY as she and I hit it off the first night and I proceeded to inquire about a follow-on engagement. I also used as part of the negotiation that she is off the streets for the next three nights, in the same bed, with the same guy, clean sheets, free food / drinks, and dependable wifi. We arrived at $4. 5 k per day and I gave her an extra $1 K at departure.
Toothbrush kits have really been a lifesaver as many of these chicas are "closet smokers". I sense due to the lifestyle of late nights, loud music, and lots of beer.

For the record they NEVER caused any problems its just that I'm in a foreign country and if any type of drugs found around me they going to look at the gringo first. I figure with weed worse case I pay off a cop. With that sugga bugga around me I may need to leave the country ASAP because I'm NOT built for Dominican prison.
So yeah I'm going to have a talk with my girls next time I see them.

This is definitely doable in Sosua. My last trip there I had a girl from Santiago chill with me for five days. Pussy on demand. It was beautiful. You need to jump on Dominican Cupid and go through the profiles and send messages offering up your WhatsApp number to interested parties. There are few hundred Dominican women there every weekend. They come in all shapes color and sizes. As far 8 to 10 s they are there as well just not in huge numbers. Dominican women are on average are attractive. IF you are willing to pay you can have what ever you want. Most of the videos are produced by black guys who like nice ass girls. You can find any type women you want. Scores of guys pay big money to go to Sosua over and over again. I am satisfied member of that club. Do not over think it. Women in Sosua chase the guys. Wow, I just returned from 7 days in sosua. I haven't been for 8 years, and it hasnt changed much. The one thing I noticed is the 2 new chinese owned dept stores near Rumbas.
I stayed at an Airbnb near Rumbas, and wouldn't recommend it. Why? Because the higher class girls will NOT show up to an Airbnb. They want to look at the map and see where you are staying. Next time, I will stay at Terra Linda or similar. Yes, its double the price, but has a pool, and free breakfast etc. And 70 usd per night isn't bad. And the high class girls will NOT go anywhere near Rumbas as they don't want to be associated with the street girls or deal with the cops etc. So stay away from there with your dates (Terra Linda is a 100 m or so away).
I worked Tinder all day and night. The girls will give you their Whatsapp number to text there, so have both apps on your phone. The wifi is good throughout town, so I never needed data on my phone.
