Has anyone stayed here?
Does anybody know if you can bring a chica back to your room?
I inquired about this hotel last winter. They quoted me $40/night, no A/C only ceiling fans. There is no security but you can bring a chica back but its your responsiblity, I think you have to walk her to the gate and let her out if its at night. I ended up staying at New garden but everytime I passed by Paraiso it looked really quiet. I think SeaBreeze would be a better choice, my friend stayed there in April and said he really liked it.
Sometimes at dusk I would go and stand in front to see the sights.There would be chicas in and about he shadows of the doorway to Paraiso.

I knew some guy who went to live there. He stayed at El paraiso. For everyone else it's across the street from New Garden. He said it was ok except for the water or the lack of it. He didn't say about the security. It may be a little less than the others price wise. I saw him there last July. I didn't see him in Feburary, Don't they have a website?

I know someone who stayed there in January. He had no problems with the a/c or anything else. But there was no real security, you have a safe deposit box, but it's not in your room.
But it's clean and CHEAP! I mean 25$ for a night... what can you expect? Right across the street you have a security guy at New Garden, but you pay 50 $...
It is your choice. For me, I will stay next time at the NG again (new wing). Love those King-Size beds... :D

Just checking to see if the forum permits linking to youtube videos. I just noticed there are quite a few decent La Passions videos.

At least as of January you could still have any chica for a massage and BJ for 1000 pesos. My experience was they were quite pleased with a 200 peso tip. A Presidente was 100 pesos. You can check them out and decide if you want one and arrange to meet her after work for around 1500 (ST). As many experienced members have pointed out, TLN is just not a good idea. It appeals to an American "fixed price" easy commerce mindset but it really doesn't suit the reality of the deal.

It has sometimes failed to give me cash but luckily my account was never debited. It has also eaten my card on two occasions. For these reasons I now use my cards inside the bank at the teller counter (but you will need passport and maybe a second form of picture ID such as driving licence - this requirement varies according to their mood). Obviously I now need to plan ahead and draw cash during opening hours but that is cool because I prefer not to withdraw and carry large sums after dark.
I'm thinking about a trip to Sausa/POP area and was wondering if its better to try to book a place at BB or stay in the Sausa area for 3-4 days of fun? I am a newbie to the game and I have never been down that area and would like to partake in the fun activities. Is it less expensive to stay in Sausa than BB or is it pretty much the same? I am not saying bb sucks but its very far from most of the reasons you are coming here (I guess) and that's to screw alot of girls. Stay in sosua. If you want take a ride out to bb's for lunch or to look around. We rented motorbikes (10 per day. You won't find that deal but maybe 15 per day) ride around the streets. Very safe and very few cars. Roads are fine, if you get good with the bike take it to BB's but only if you know what you are doing. We made it in about 45 mins. Don't pay more than 1000 (30us) on any girl. Some will say no but later will come back for it. The town is safe. No eyes of evil on you. If the girl steals its things like tooth paste. First thing. The town you are asking about is sosua ... You have the beach to try to kill the daytime hours (find the hut called the semi sol) spend some money on beers and a little food and get to know herman (big german guy) he will answer any question you might have and has tons of info on where to go and about many many girls.
As you corrected Lowdown's spelling of Sosúa, I am sure you won't mind my correcting your spelling of "Siempre Sol". Also Herman might be surprised to learn he is German. Maybe WWII had a different outcome in your version? He's a proud Dutchman. (Not such a big deal now we are all brothers in the European Union).

There won't be any problem with 2 girls at the New Garden, hell you can even take them directly at the New Garden Bar, there are alway's 10 of them who are hangning there until about 9 p.m.
If you go to N.G. and want to save some $, ask for a room in the old part, will cost you $55.00/U.S per day instead of $69.00 for the new part, and the rooms still above average in the old part.
If you want cheaper I have also rented at Don Antonio, June 09. THIS is a 2 stars Hotel, BUT found it's clean there is a Disco nearby and the music could be an annoyance if you are early to bed, personally stayed 2 nights there and was satisfied ( around $35.00 US tax included) They have web site, make sure to confirm price with Obie who speaks perfect english.

Kudos to the person who consolidated all that information into one map but the original intent has now been lost.
I started the map about 2 years ago with the intent of listing "Chica Friendly" ONLY hotels. Then somebody else expanded on it with all that other information.
Point is, we are slowly going back to addressing the same old questions about which hotels are and are-not completely chica friendly... again.
If the owner of the most recent map would filter the hotels to keep the map mongering friendly that would help people here. Else the map is not mongering specific and probably belongs on any tourist office wall.

I was there for 6 days about two weeks ago and had a third floor room in the old wing. They were working on the restaurant from 8 a.m. to 9 or 10 at night. Some noise but nothing horrific. All the old wing has new doors and windows to the balcony which are more soundproof than the old ones.

While I recommend staying there, I only eat breakfast there (it's included in the room price). There are lots of good restaurants in Sosua. That being said, the NG will have a new menu when it re-opens. I'll be back there in two weeks and will ck it out.

this none spanish speaking solo monger survived a week in sosua and i’m glad i chose to stay in sosua over black beards. everything you could possible want is within a few blocks.
the flight from newark went off without a hitch and i had the pleasure of flying first class using my frequent flyer miles. thanks to the airlines crazy pricing methods i was able to purchase a first class ticket for less miles then a coach ticket. upon arrive at purto plata a cab driver was waiting for me. a few minutes later i was checking into the new garden hotel. i had arranged for the cab through the hotel and the trip cost $25 + $5 tip.
the new garden was much nice then i was anticipating. the pool area is lovely with lots of chairs and shade. a large awning covers a bunch of tables which is used as a dining area and a shady place to hang out. the corner bar is small but functional. my second floor room in the new wing was large as was the bathroom. it had a king size bed, a large combination safe, an ok tv, a small frig and a great balcony with table and chairs. the room was spotless and everything work fine; a/c, hot water and the electricity never went out.
first order of business was to exchange some money. the hotel had no pesos so the receptionist suggested i go to either corner and exchange my money. he could tell from my reaction that i was not happy with the suggestion. he assured me that it was quite safe. but my face still said ‘hell no’. so he went out into the street and like someone would hail a cab in nyc he got one of the money exchangers to come to the motel. minutes later i had pesos.
the second order of business was to find a dive shop. i chose scuba elite. they were very accommodating. i did two dives every day and most of the time it was just me and the dive master. most reefs in sosua bay are dying. however the live part of the reefs contained an enormous amount of fish. guess the fish have so few places to go. the sunken freighter was a great deep dive and five rocks and the airport wall were also great dives. all three are remote and see little traffic which keeps then pristine. also the diving at paradises island is great but it is a long full day trip.
hooking up with follow mongers was easy. i meet keith and kevin, nyc bus drivers at the pool and mitch my next door neighbor the first day. these guys were sosua veterans and provided all kinds of great information. they were also great company and a lot of fun in the bars. by the end of the week column a nyc stock broker and a couple of guys from phila joined our group.
available chicas were all over the place. the parade started around noon at the new garden and lasted to 7pm or later if guys were hanging out. the parade them moved to the calle pedro clisante strip around 10pm and went to ???? . the chicas came in all colors, sizes and shapes. there were even two very pageant ones working the calle pedro clisante bar circuit. all were very interested in earning money.
i enjoyed the new garden house girls the best. they were less aggressive, fun and provided better sex then the bar/disco girls. some of the new garden girls do not work the discos but are quite willing to stay the night if arranged in advance. by the end of the week i spent my nights with erika and jessica. they were not interactive but were honest and provided great sex. erika was better in bed but jessica spoke english and translated to help pass the time when we were just hanging out. i also enjoyed elisabeth and maria.
i had little luck with the girls from the disco. the first one was a real nut case. she picked me up in the bar below classicos . everything was going well so we went up stairs to the disco for awhile. eventually we agreed on 2,500 pesos for all night and went back to my room where she immediately wanted more money and/or a tip. i refused to pay any more and said i would give a tip if i enjoyed myself. she gave me one lame pop and got dress. i offered her 1,000 pesos and she got mad. she said i promised her 2,500. i explained that 2,500 was for all night and she was leaving after one pop but i saw this was not going well so i upped the offer another 500 which was what i was paying for short time. this still did not satisfy her and still on the 2,500 which i refused to pay. after a lot of drama she said ‘i’ll stay’ and crawled under the covers fully clothed. at this point i was pissed and decided to pay her 2,500 in the morning or she could leave with the 1,500 i put on the table. in the mean time i went out on the balcony for a smoke and a beer. mitch had also gotten had and was sitting on his balcony. it was not long before the ***** came out and started ranting again. this time she tried to get mitch to intervene. when she realized mitch would be no help and i was not going to give in she went back into the room and all of a sudden i heard glass breaking. the ***** had smashed my bottle of rye on the floor. it was now time to get security involved. too my surprise she agreed to this. guess she thought he would be on her side, wrong. girl was slick. as we left she tried to lock the room knowing i had no key. that would have really pissed me off. by the time we reach the stairs the security guide was coming up and she went into her rant again. funny thing happened at this point. two naked girls stuck their heads out of a room and complained that people were trying to sleep. i had a hard time suppressing my laughter. one guy with two girls trying to sleep, right. after awhile i told my side of the story and the guard wanted to see the room. when he saw the broken bottle and smelled the booze he said ‘i take of this and will come back and clean up’. he then gave the girl a push out the door that nearly sent her flying over the hallway railing. good to his word he came back with a broom and mop. have no idea what happened to the girl and don’t care.
the next night another girl renege on a 2,500 all night deal after one pop but i decided to just let it go. went back out and got another girl. the second girl did stay the night but after one pop she rolled over and went to sleep. at 6:30 the security guard was at my door to send her away. she no id and had to leave before he went off duty.
another night i went for a short term arrangement with a girl from the disco kevin recommended. the sex was great but a bit rushed because she misplaced her phone and was anxious to look for it. actually the phone was knocked off the dresser and fell into my shoe. i found it in the morning and returned it that night. she was one happy chica and showed her gratitude back in my room.
money matters
exchanging money on the street is actually safe, convenient and common. the money exchangers on busy corners and both the locals and tourist use them. their rates are also very completive.
pesos are the preferred currency. at the airport, guys on the street and new garden were giving 35 pesos to the dollar. the exchange places were giving 35.5 to dollar and the dive shop gave 35.8 to the dollar. since i was making a daily call to the us, i exchanged my money in the internet cafes but most of the guys were exchanging dollars on the street.
bring cash. credit cards are useless. most places will not accept them and if they do add a significant surcharge.
i used my atm card early in the week just to make sure i could get additional funds if needed. it work like a charm. i took out $100,000 pesos about $285us. my bank statement showed a 35.75 rate to the dollar and a $4.75 us international transaction fee.
the trip cost me about $2,000 us for my room, food, booze, tips, chicas, taxis, phone calls and other misc expense. plus $800 us for the dive trips and tips to the dive masters and boat captains. on average i did one st in the afternoon and two st in the evening or one double tnl. i paid 1,500 pesos for short time and 2,500 pesos for all night. according to some of the latest post i overpaid. sorry guys but i’m not much of a negotiator and they seemed like fair prices at the time. no air far involved since i used my miles.
tips/gifts
i tipped the maid 100 pesos each day. she felt everything extra i requested and my room was cleaned first thing. she left four extra towels a day for a total of six and all of them were used. the mornings i went diving i left the key on the board behind the reception desk and the room was made up when i got back. the mornings i did not dive, she asked for the key as soon as she saw me and cleaned the room right away.
also tip the security guard a couple of times. he will watch your back and at some point you will need his help. he is a cool guy and will be less likely to give the chicas a hard time regarding ids.
i brought small boxes of chocolates which i gave to the ladies who provided good service. i also left small individually wrapped candy bars and lolly pops on the dresser for the ladies to help themselves too . the chocolates were big hits.
i did not give any of the girls a monetary tip. i never tip in a pay for play situation. my feeling is the agreed upon price and service should be provided. above average service results in repeat business.
health
i only drank bottle water and avoided all salads, vegetables, and most fruits. i did use ice in my drinks and had no stomach problems. the guys at the dive shop told me all the ice is processed and would be fine.

be clean and keep the room in order (made bed, stuff put away) the ladies like to freshen up before playing so provided the means and supplies to do so; soap, mouthwash, clean/dry towels, tooth paste, tooth brush. you will have a better time and will get a good reputation among the ladies. they do exchange inform just like us mongers. the girls always smelled fresh and daty was a delight.
lodging
from what i saw the new garden is the place to stay. i checked out a room in the old wing. it was ok but not as nice as the rooms in the new wing. i recommend paying the extra money and staying in the new wing. i also checked out the rooms with the whirl pools. they are not worth the extra cost.
the other hotels on the street were dumps. i also checked out sea breezes, both the property and rooms. it’s cheap $40-$45us per night but run down. their pool is very small and not very inviting.
new garden pool
don’t understand why the pool is so underutilized. maybe the chicas are not permitted to use it, they are affair of messing up their hair/make up or they cannot swim. but the pool is no more than 4 feet deep and the girls must get hot as hell sitting around in the sun all day. why guests do not use it, i have no clue.
guys, take your tln girls for a swim. they will have a great time and you will be rewarded. the first night i suggested we go for a swim jessica and erika wanted no part of it. it was like i suggest some bazaar sex act. however they must have discussed it because the next night they suggested we take a swim. so i gave them clean t-shirts and off we went. they were like little kids who just discovered something wonderful. they could not swim but had a great time trying. back in the room they were very happy, relaxed and playful. the third, night they brought bathing suits and talked a couple of their friends into join us. had a great night drinking and playing with the girls in the pool. was not sure how i would deal with four ladies but luckily the two friends gracefully disappeared.
food
breakfast at the new garden which is included was good. i also ate several dinners there. the menu consisted of mostly pasta dishes but they were good and cheap. they are in the process of building a new restaurant.
the ribs at rock’s are great, pj’s is good and there is a nice italian restaurant on the corner of calle pedro clisante and la puntilla, a block down from pj’s on the other side of the street. sorry don’t recall its name. spent on average 500 pesos for dinner.
i kept food and drinks in the frig. supermarket playero on gregorio luperon is a large supermarket and only a couple of blocks from the ng. there is also a small market a couple of doors down from the motel (exit the motel and turn left). i usually made myself a sandwich for lunch and ate it on the balcony. also a hungry chica is an unhappy chica and an unhappy chica is not much fun. i usually offered my ladies something to eat while i recharged and they were very appreciative. again being nice also helps build a good reputation.
i kept beer and water in the frig so the chicas and i would have something to drink. went through 1 ½ case of beer and lots of water. the bar at the new garden closed around 10pm and beers were 100 pesos.
bars
the guys i hooked up like classicos so that is where we hung out. did not really matter. all the bars were similar and the girls drifted from bar to bar. we spent the early part of the evening sitting at classicos’down stairs bar drinking and fooling around with the chicas who stopped by to give their sales pitch. around 11pm we headed up stairs to the disco. there was a 100 peso cover which included a ticket good for a beer. the cover kept the chicas out who had no money and a lot of them did not have the 100 pesos. i would check out the action for a couple of hours them made a selection and return my room. beer at the bar and in the disco cost 100 pesos.
the disco scene got old pretty fast and i spend several evenings just hanging at the hotel.
supplies
you have to supply the condoms so bring plenty of you favorites.
i brought two different types of lube but most of the chicas did not use any. a necessity if you want to travel to greece which i did not get the chance to do.
baby oil. great for relieving crotch itch developed from sitting around in a wet bathing suit all day. also some of the chicas like to oil their bodies before playing which produced a real nice effect. made their bodies shinny and smooth
body location. great for massages. the chicas also like to use it.

i brought a cheap unlocked phone from wal-mart’s thinking i would purchase a sim card and get it activated in the dr. never happened. instead i used the internet cafes each night to call the states. the process was simple (just dial 1+area code number) and cheap ($10 pesos a minute). the internet cafes are all over and one is just down the street from the ng (exit the motel and turn left).
conclusion
would i return, yes but i may go back to curacaos first or try st. martens’.

The only thing I have to say is that in my experience it's always better to test-drive a chica for ST before going all-out for the TLN. But, looking at your last paragraph, you've come to the same conclusion

The TNL concept did not live up to my expectations. I was expecting a more GFE experience. The next time I’ll skip the disco/bars and spend the afternoons and evenings sampling the NG house girls on a ST bases. Towards the end of the week I’ll pick the best two and spend my remaining time with them on a TLN bases.
TLN in SXM requires taking the girl out of the casa on top of the $$ for the girl. It will be a lot more expensive than RD$2500, 4-5 times more expensive. On the positive side you're more likely to get GFE, and extremely unlikely to get a "loca" like you've described. Also, TLN will last until 9-10am in the morning (unless you cave in and let her go early.) Almost all Colombianas in SXM speak at least some english... but tend to be older (late 20s-early 30s) than some mongers like.
So, each place has its ups and downs...

We'll from my experience with Lapela its been great. I actually used it on several occassions and the only side effect I've gotten from it was a pounding headache. ThanksLa Passions is a massage parlor, the massage is bullshit for the most part, what you really are paying for is the massage/blowjob. You can also bang them on site if you wish, or you can pay a salida to take them out for the night. Passions has a menu which tells you exactly the price depending on what you want. I believe the massage/blowjob for an hour was 1500 pesos. The price for taking her out of there depends on what time you want to leave with her. The earlier you scoop her up the more expensive it is. If you wait to the hour before closing time, the price is obviously the least. I would recommend you google La Passion, Dominican Republic, because they have a website, and all the info you are requesting can be found there. Well another week well spent in the DR. As usual too much booze, too many woman and not enough ammo to do them all. I had a great time at NG and the room was off the hook. This trip report is about a trip to the D.R. I went with my partner in crime my wife. She is my hero and we have a tremendous life and I am lucky to have her. We go to the D.R. and get our groove on. Tuesday
We arrive in Puerto Plata, late in the afternoon from Miami. We get off the plane and are greeted by a couple of fine chicas in red, white, and blue outfits that we take pictures with. We walked right through Customs no problems I guess they could read on our faces about how pissed we were about our lost bags.
We then took our $20 cab ride to the New Garden. We checked in with Omar he seemed like a real cool guy. He spoke a little English. Wilfred was also cool but didn’t seem too friendly sometimes. They gave us a room in the new section, on the ground floor right by the pool; everything was new and had a nice new Jacuzzi. I told him I was on **** and ISG he gave us a discount $72 instead of $79. The room was small but was all we needed and for the price it was a good value. We were very close to the action. I would stay at the New Garden again; all the other guys there were cool and very respectful to the Mrs.
We then ventured out to pick up a few items since all we had were the clothes on our backs. We went out and bought toiletries and a few snacks for the room. It was funny watching the pool girls looking at us trying to figure out our situation. They seemed like they wanted to approach me but they somewhat respected the wife. The wife is Hispanic and speaks Spanish anyway which is very helpful because my Spanish is really Spanglish. Walked over to the Orange phone store and got a Sim card for an unlocked phone I had brought with me. The Sim cost $100 Dominican pesos, pretty damn cheap, I also put some minutes on the phone. It’s weird you can buy dollar amounts but you don’t know the minutes. Another fuck up I gave the girl in Orange my passport and left it. I couldn’t sleep all night not knowing if I left at the phone shop or I lost it. I returned the following day and saw my passport in the glass display. I got my passport back and felt much better. We just need our luggage.
We went to Rocky’s to get a bite to eat, I had a cheeseburger and the wife had some Buffalo wings. My cheeseburger was so-so the hamburger in the D.R, is definitely not as good as in the U.S. Her wings also were not that good they tasted like wings soaked in ketchup, no spice at all. She took one bite and threw the rest out. We shared my burger and fries you can’t really screw up fries. We then walked over to Latino’s and had a few drinks and played some pool and returned back to New Garden and called it a night. The bartenders in Latino’s were very cute. There was guy there who kept trying rack our balls. Annoying, I had to get Michael Jackson on him and told him to “beat it”. Back at the hotel I called American Airlines they found our bags; they were still in Miami and would be sent the next day and be delivered to the hotel.
Wednesday
We went to Britannia pub for breakfast it was okay. We walked back to the New Garden, I said to my wife the first chica to smile at us will get an mp3 player that I had brought as a gift. Sosua beach was okay but they sweat the shit out of you about buying shit. We had some seafood under an umbrella and chilled for the afternoon. We then walked back to the hotel in the late afternoon. We then chilled by the pool and talked to E. a little more and then walked over to Bailey’s for dinner.
Baileys was excellent we really enjoyed the food there. Then Omar from the front desk called me our luggage had arrived thank you, we now felt better. We got dressed and walked over to Latinos for some pool and then to Classico’s for some hunting. Classico’s was okay there were some fine chicas but from my understanding Wednesday is a slow day. The secret putas from Santiago and Santa Domingo go to Sosua to make some cash undercover and a lot of them are fine. I had to see this.
Thursday
Woke up had a decent breakfast at New Garden that was included in the stay. I also chilled with the “Santiago girls who say that they are sisters but according to other chicas they are not really sisters. I gave them some temporary tattoos of course I had to apply them. That’s as close as I got to boning them they were pretty but they had some attitude. Any of you guys have them? Are they any good? I have seen naked pictures of them together on one of these sites. Tuesday
We arrive in Puerto Plata, late in the afternoon from Miami. We get off the plane and are greeted by a couple of fine chicas in red, white, and blue outfits that we take pictures with. They claim they will give me an answer about where our bags are later; I should call back in a few hours. We then left towards the cabs. Our cabbie was there waiting for us with my name on a placard. We walked right through Customs no problems I guess they could read on our faces about how pissed we were about our lost bags.
We then took our $20 cab ride to the New Garden. We checked in with Omar he seemed like a real cool guy. He spoke a little English. Wilfred was also cool but didn’t seem too friendly sometimes. They gave us a room in the new section, on the ground floor right by the pool; everything was new and had a nice new Jacuzzi. I told him I was on **** and ISG he gave us a discount $72 instead of $79. The room was small but was all we needed and for the price it was a good value. We were very close to the action. I would stay at the New Garden again; all the other guys there were cool and very respectful to the Mrs.
We then ventured out to pick up a few items since all we had were the clothes on our backs. We went out and bought toiletries and a few snacks for the room. It was funny watching the pool girls looking at us trying to figure out our situation. They seemed like they wanted to approach me but they somewhat respected the wife. The wife is Hispanic and speaks Spanish anyway which is very helpful because my Spanish is really Spanglish. Walked over to the Orange phone store and got a Sim card for an unlocked phone I had brought with me. The Sim cost $100 Dominican pesos, pretty damn cheap, I also put some minutes on the phone. It’s weird you can buy dollar amounts but you don’t know the minutes. Another fuck up I gave the girl in Orange my passport and left it. I couldn’t sleep all night not knowing if I left at the phone shop or I lost it. I returned the following day and saw my passport in the glass display. I got my passport back and felt much better. We just need our luggage.
We went to Rocky’s to get a bite to eat, I had a cheeseburger and the wife had some Buffalo wings. My cheeseburger was so-so the hamburger in the D.R, is definitely not as good as in the U.S. Her wings also were not that good they tasted like wings soaked in ketchup, no spice at all. She took one bite and threw the rest out. We shared my burger and fries you can’t really screw up fries. We then walked over to Latino’s and had a few drinks and played some pool and returned back to New Garden and called it a night. The bartenders in Latino’s were very cute. There was guy there who kept trying rack our balls. Annoying, I had to get Michael Jackson on him and told him to “beat it”. Back at the hotel I called American Airlines they found our bags; they were still in Miami and would be sent the next day and be delivered to the hotel.
Wednesday
We went to Britannia pub for breakfast it was okay. We walked back to the New Garden, I said to my wife the first chica to smile at us will get an mp3 player that I had brought as a gift. I actually had about 15 of them that I had preloaded all the current Dominican and American music. I got them for a steal back at home. A big titty girl named E. was the lucky recipient. We then chilled by the pool and talked to E. a little more and then walked over to Bailey’s for dinner.
Baileys was excellent we really enjoyed the food there. Then Omar from the front desk called me our luggage had arrived thank you, we now felt better. We got dressed and walked over to Latinos for some pool and then to Classico’s for some hunting. Classico’s was okay there were some fine chicas but from my understanding Wednesday is a slow day. We saw some possibilities but we just looked and enjoyed a few drinks. We had a couple propositions but we stayed pat. I also talked to Wilfred about staying another day. We had reservation at Blackbeard’s but wanted one more day. People were telling me that as the weekend approaches Classico’s gets even better. The secret putas from Santiago and Santa Domingo go to Sosua to make some cash undercover and a lot of them are fine. I had to see this.
Thursday
Woke up had a decent breakfast at New Garden that was included in the stay. I also chilled with the “Santiago girls who say that they are sisters but according to other chicas they are not really sisters. I gave them some temporary tattoos of course I had to apply them. That’s as close as I got to boning them they were pretty but they had some attitude. Any of you guys have them? Are they any good? I have seen naked pictures of them together on one of these sites. Thanks for this very interesting report. But parts of it indicate that a number of people in Sosua didn't feel very comfortable encountering a mixed couple who were preying on chicas together, and your experience with "the spinner" certainly mirrors my own experience of threesomes, which is that they certainly can be fun, but that it is not easy to get the right chemistry between all three people as there is always a tendency for one person to be on the outside, and that jealousies tend to arise because of this.
I also agree that the connection between good looks and good sex is a tenuous one. Hello guys! Now that I am going to be leaving Europe soon to go to Sosúa (and then on to Haiti), I would like to confirm the latest prices.
I understand that short time (un rato) is about 1,000 - 1,500 pesos
long time (toda la noche) is 2,500-3000 pesos for a decent chick.
Are these figures accurate? Has the economic crisis hit Sosúa in such a way that prices in August could be lower and the pick of the girls is better? In other words, a buyer's market favouring us mongers?
How is the Haitian girl scene coming along? More and more of them (or fewer) ?

You may experience tropical storms but if you are staying in Sosúa this need not ruin your holiday. I have had some great times during stormy weather.
Of course, if you are going for the beach, the sea, or outings to the campo this answer does not apply.

These figures are good enough for ballpark, but remember that at current rates of exchange 1500 pesos is equivalent to about $42, which is not very much in a country where food and consumer goods like tooth paste and toiletries cost more than in the US.
You may be able to lowball, but this leaves you somewhat open to subsequent poor performance, requests for more money, or stealing.
As I am usually more concerned about the quality of the sex rather than the money, I have usually found it effective to incentivize the chica by offering a rather low retainer with a decent bonus for superior performance. For example you might offer 1000 pesos with a 500 peso bonus for superior performance, even if your real intention from the get go is to pay 1500 pesos. Most of these chicas are simple souls and they will get a sense of achievement and self esteem out of earning the bonus.
As regards all nighters, I would be a bit wary about opting for all night unless you have sampled the chica on a short term basis first and established that you and she have sexual and personal chemistry. If she is not going to kiss you girlfriend style and seem like she means it, then forget it.
The trouble is that many chicas may agree to all night reluctantly, but really they are itching to get home to children, family etc. so their heart is not in the job. The ones who are good for all night may have decided that you are good potential novio material and will pull out all the stops with an eye to long term rather than short term compensation.
All in all, although some of the women you meet will be hardened pros, it is probably better for the unwary who don't know the players to regard the chicas as decent poor women seeking money for survival, and act and treat them accordingly. This is how most of them see themselves, so this is how you will get the best results, regardless of objective truth.
Bottom line: the quality of the sex you get will depend mostly on the chemistry between you and the chica, regardless of the amount of money changing hands. If she likes you, you will definitely be able to negotiate a reasonable price.

LaterI have been told that hurricanes don't hit Sosua, supposedly the hurricanes come up from the South, as such a hurricane would hit the south coast first and as it traverses the island going north it looses force. Tropical Storms with lots of rain are possible in Sosua. North Coast, Sosua lies near a fault, so the ground has rumbled there in the past with small earthquakes.
The chicas have to make money, rain or shine some will be out. I was there for one trip and it rained everyday for 5 straight days. The intersection near the liquor store (super super), near the two banks, was flooded. The streets near classicos were passable.
More fun to have sunshine everyday, but that is not something that can be guaranteed. Even if a storm hits Sosua, you should still be able to monger.
Most Dominican chicas hate to get their hair wet in the rain. Hurricane Jeanne in 2004 did extensive damage in the Sosua area.
True, as many others have. But:
1) By the time they reach the North Coast they are no longer of hurricane force, "just" tropical storms bearing the same names.
2) If you are fortunate to be a gringo, inhabiting buildings intended for gringos, you would be exceptionally unlucky to suffer any real harm from a tropical storm. For the poor bloody locals who live in shacks, often in low-lying areas, it is a different story. It is they who suffer the "extensive damage" you mention, not us.
Sure, if Bettaman is so unlucky that he spends much of his 7 days in stormy weather it will be a bloody nuisance and somewhat reduce his enjoyment, but are the odds on that short enough to deter him from booking a trip? Definitely not.

Got to Sosua Friday. Coconut palms resort offered me a deal. It was 70 dollars for a week, but you have to hear the sales pitch. Nice resort adequate rooms, decent food and private beach. Went to Classicos Friday night it was half full, El flow was packed as usual, but I settled on Latinos because the had the NY vsTPA baseball game on TV. Trying to figure out if I want something new or a regular. Settled on a regular because I didn't need any drama at the resort. Told maria from Cabarette to meet me at the sosua taxi stand in two hours. While I'm watching the game something strange was going on. This skinny white dude in dress shirt and shorts keeps circling latinos looking spaced out. After 15 laps in ten minutes, I ask the waitress whats up with him. She said a girl from Santo Domingo came up and the next morning he was like that. They said she put the heebyjeebys on him. Well back to the game NY kicked Tampa's ass. Picked Maria up and we went home. When she saw this nice ass resort with a nice pool, she instantly says lets fuck in the pool. I'm not getting kicked out the first night. NOW HERE'S THE BAD PART my girl has to be at player dorado for work at 9am At 7am we go to get her cedula, and they gave it to a girl who didn't even look like her (WHAT)On top of this the Barney Fife security agency (dominican security) says No chicas can have their cedulas until this girl is found. So every girl that turned in cedulas had to leave without id. I say to them if she got the wrong cedula, her cedula is here. Go down sosua and find her but colonel Shultz (security) says no. After 8 hours the girl realized she had the wrong cedula and returned it. But I wasn't in the clear yet. They said if I didn't bring the girl in they wouldve never gave out the wrong cedula. I was handed 70 dollars and told our arrangment wasnt working. I couldve challenged it but with security against me any kind of bullshit can happen. So back to Europa, dominoe bar, 4 roses, classicos, latinos and the el pollo man. I've wrote in previous reports about my goings on in these places so I'll spare you. But Thursday it's Boca Chica.

I have just finished my third stay in Sosúa. Every time I go to Sosúa, it is a completely different experience and this was no exception.
As usual, I stayed at the New Garden Hotel. One important tip is that you can have Wilfried send you a taxi to pick you up at the airport. That would be especially nice for those who are linguistically challenged with Spanish.
New Garden is rapidly expanding and changing every year that I am there. They are finishing the touches of what promises to be a nice restaurant. The Haitian construction men were busy painting the final bits of the new addition.
As soon as I showered up, I strolled over to Siempre Sol on the beach to seek out Herman and girls. I had been with only one girl the previous year, a feisty, totally insane Haitian girl named Simone or Simona. She was so nice, so GFE last year and I was anxious to be with her again this time around.
After the usual greetings, I asked Herman about Simona and he immediately called her on his cell phone. Some 20 minutes later, there she was casually strolling down the beach with some Haitian girlfriends in tow.
She greeted Herman first and, unexpectedly, gave a curt hi to me. That was it. Yes, she had changed. Last year, she was in tears when I left and even accompanied me to the airport. She really seemed to have been sad at my going. It was no cheap act.

If you go by taxi from BB, I’m guessing it’s going to cost you about $50 each way and $30 each way from FoD. But, there are cheaper ways!
From BB, get two moto conchos (or one if you are really friendly with your wingman) to La Habilla bus station in POP, 100 pesos. Local buses (Guaguas) run to Sosua every hour, approx 100 pesos. OR, from FoD, just walk to the main road and wait for a stopping Guagua (The “express” ones don’t stop) or hail a shared taxi. Either won’t cost you more than a few pesos.
Of course, there is a third way. Hire a car for a few days!
Or rent a car. You can pick the rental car up in the airport in Puerto Plata. I have a basic mastercard which provides coverage for collision damage/theft protection. I pay the extra 5 dollars per day for third party liability (if the car strikes a person) and I pay an extra 3.75 per day for tire and glass coverage. With Alamo from Puerto Plata Airport (using BJ's Vacation coupon codes) the total would be 252 for dollars for 7 days, for a compact Chevrolet Aveo (4 door car, A/C, CD player). Alamo also has a smaller car, Chevrolet Spark (4 door), that would cost 233 dollars for 7 days (manual transmission rate is cheaper on the chevrolet spark). Most rental car companies will put a $1,000 hold on your credit card when you rent the car.
It cost me about 1300 pesos (about 36 dollars) to fill up the gas tank on the Chevrolet Aveo. Nissan Tiida is a better car (cost about $271 for 7 days). The Nissan Tiida is similar to the Nissan Versa here in the States (except the Nissan Tiida from Alamo has a trunk and not a hatchback).

If you only plan to scoot around town it is not a bad little vehicle. For long trips and highway driving spend a few more and get the Nissan Tilda. Trust me, it is worth it.

You are funny, thanks. The Chevy Spark can fit one small suitcase in the trunk, other luggage has to go on the back seat. I drove a Chevrolet Spark to Samana from Santo Domingo. Tough little car, I hit some good size potholes driving at night and that little car held up. For not a lot of money more the Chevrolet Aveo and Nissan Tiiada are better. One time I made a mistake when I reserved the Chevy Spark online, I mistakingly chose one with a manual transmission. Driving in traffic with a manual transmission and smoking cigarettes at the same time, no fun.

Don't plan to sneak them in. Go for Calipso or even better book a hotel nearby for a week even if you absolutely have to stay at CM.

The guards look at people's wrists to see if they are wearing the colored wristband when people enter and leave casa marina. One time I had my wristwatch over the wristband and a guard stopped me. They have cameras near the lobby on the reef side, which makes the guards paranoid about doing there job, however, I have walked into Casa Marina after being out all night and seen the guards sound asleep.
2 people sharing a room will cost 75 per night (37.50 per person). One person in the room will cost 56 per night. If you use Orbitz to book, type in review10 in the "I have a promotion code" box and you will save 10% on the cost of the room. That coupon works at most hotels on the orbitz site.
Casa Marina may also require you to reserve for three nights, if you book online. I don't know the price if you just show up, without reserving online before. Rooms in casa marina have safes, but you have to pay extra for the lock for the safe.
Casa Marina has a tiny "disco" (more like a bar with a very small dance floor), where you have to pay for drinks. Usually you will see some tourists chicas grinding the dudes from the animation team for the hotel. Sometimes the tourist chicas from casa marina will venture into classicos, where even the really big heavyset tourist chicas always find a dominican guy who wants to dance with them. Anyone ever stayed at Casa Marina Lately and had troubles bringing in street girls did you sneak them in from beach side.

Atmosphere/ tranquility: Quiet, spacious, separate rooms, low stress. (Think of how you feel when listening to super mellow jazz music)
Professionalism: Great! Keeps appointments, doesn't bump people, won't squeeze a client if potentially overlaps another.
Experience: gives a normal length towel to wrap around or place over buttocks and waist area.
Massage: strong, thorough, takes the entire time.

Location: Next to the Orange Shop, and close to Banco Popular.

I have stayed at casa marina a bunch of times. I doubt you will be able to bribe the guards. Casa Marina Beach and Reef, used to be two different hotels that were merged, therefore it has two entrances and two lobbies. When you check in you will be given a colored wristband to wear. Problem is if you sneak in a girl, the chica will not have a wristband.
Day pass from 10am to about 5pm costs about 35-40 dollars. Casa Marina is an inexpensive all inclusive. Some European chicas go there, topless, as well as Canadians. Price for two people per night is less than 80 dollars total (less than 40 dollars per night per person), which includes all you can eat food and drink. When I stayed there in the past, I usually split a condominium apartment at tradewinds (35 dollars per day) with my wingman to use for sex.

Yes, I too have stayed at Casa Marina and would agree with all of the above. Better to take your girls somewhere else. Finding talent within the resort is hit or miss. She is Dominican and obviously speaks spanish and very good english, I do not personally like her massages but choose either Zuni or Luz Maria when I go. I have had massages from Kika when she used to work at M and M and I recall they were very good, nothing against her just enjoy my time at M and M so why change.
By the way neither M and M or Kikas offer extras, do not ask because it will affect the remainder of you massage. I know that Zuni and Luz Maria are both offended when asked, they take great pride in being professional masseuses and make every effort to distance themselves from the rest of the massage establishments in Sosua.
BTW if you want a 'massage complete' I would highly recommend Emely at Figaro salon, located next to Eddys Sports Bar. ( down the Super Super street, about half way down) Facilities are not the best but she will give you an experience to remember.

Ok, so I'm back home today after three days in Sosua, and man, was I disappointed. First of all, it's hot like a motherf**ker. Seriously. My last time there was in December when I welcomed the break from the cold/ice back home, but nowadays, in August? It is stifling in Sosua. Almost too hot to chase chicas. Just back from Sosua. This was my first time there but I am a vet of some 25 trips to Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Peru.
I stayed at a private residence, so cannot comment on other accommodations.
Passions I went to a few times and is nice for short time and Peter is a great host, 2500 menu item and the girls were pleasant.
Beach--Hung out on the beach a lot and if you ever go, you need to check out Big D's Ribs and Chicken, Tienda 109. Derrick is from NJ and is grilling up some absolutely incredible Ribs and BeerCan Chicken with all the trimmings and very reasonable for the quality you get.
Chicas--Mostly went to Clasicos or just walking the streets. All I can say as compared to the other places I have been is that these chicas are CRAZY !!. Most shave, but I have encountered quite a few who just keep it trim, and also many in various stages of growing out. Haitian girls seem to be less likely to shave. Anyway, shaving is pretty common, but by no means universal. I think it is much more common in the poontang business. I went for the first time last April 2008, after traveling to Brazil, Colombia, Thialand and Germany.
I read the info here and knew where not to hang out.
I loved the beaches, went to Classico 2 times and was amused but bored, I had practiced my spanish so I was passable in one on one conversations, so found it quite easy to meet woman that were not so hard acting and looking.
I found it to be a inexpensive option for The countries previously mentioned. But I understand where your coming from, at certian times I saw groups of men that looked like rejects from a rap video, older men not kids it felt like I was caught in a reality show casting call.
I stayed in a nice condo off the beaten path and had a relaxed time, stayed 3 weeks.
The easiest thing to avoid whatever country I am in is the P4P crowds, the information is right here to use in whatever manner you choose.

I had to comment about what you guys are talking about. I agree Sosua has some Carnys either living there or just visiting. Most people are smart enough to mind their own buisness while on vacation; some people aren't. I notice more Carny's in Sosua than any othe destination so far probably because of its cheap flights and hotels anyone can pretty much afford to go. All and all there is alot of quality people you meet in Sosua; some from this board. The few bad Carnys does make it a little uncomfortable sometimes but I relize that person probably charged his credit cards up to get here and I won't see him for a while. The best thing is to be polite, mind your own buisness and don't pass judgement on anyone and you can't help but make new friends. Sosua is too small to avoid everyone.

My recent trip has reminded me that DR’s North coast was some sort of a paradise. Don’t get me wrong, Patts and Rio are both top notch. Still Sosua has got all the attributes of a weekly paradise. The place is small, sex is not frowned upon, there is a plenty of low hanging fruit and an occasional serpent. And when one leaves it one wants it back. The only cure left is to book a new flight when back home.

IMHO, the best time in Sosua starts on Monday when most of the tourists leave and the discos are not crazy. Tuesday & Wednesday nights are the best, you can have any girl of your choice and actually enjoy the nightlife.
I heard of two very nasty fights in Classico last week Saturday and the previous Wednesday. Didn't see it, home playing XBOX. Classicos (one way out)is not a good place to be if the shyt really hits the fan.
From what I am seeing In My Humble Opinion, the hiphop guys are some of the worst acting tourists in Sosua. Not all of them, I've met some really cool guys but the other "NY Guys" what some of the local DPs call them. I've seen causing disturbances in the Discos by "Making it Rain"(throwing cash in the air) fighting over putas, and even jumping into the pool at Passions with all of their clothes on and pulling the girls in with them, jeesh, not that serious!

Lopkx....well I agree with you 100%. I was trying to allow everyone to move on and not let someone highjack this thread by posting insulting comments. That said, call it the lack of following the "code" or a lack of "class" but I get angry when I see or read about individuals or even worse groups of guys that have behaved or are behaving in a way that brings negative and unwanted attention to all of us.
The ability to fly "under the radar" is important to many of us for both personal and professional reasons. When I see photos and videos posted where the faces of the "guilty" are visible all over the internet and / or loud obnoxious behavior in public it negatively impacts us all. I have found a high correlation between the comments / opinions being posted on various sites and the public behavior demonstrated while traveling in the DR.
Personally, when I travel I try to avoid these embarrassing public displays by getting up and walking away. I try to do the same thing when I post.
