Well, I can usually manage to draw her attention away from the television, but I do draw the line at talking on the phone during...especially if she's talking to her boyfriend. That definitely kills the romance. ;)

Not always. I had a Boca Chica girl pissed off at her Italian boyfriend so when he called she started blowing me with lots of sloppy noises and moaning so he knew what she was doing.

My trip to Sosua has been delayed, but still planning to go in late July or thereabout. I've heard some good things about the Tropix hotel and its central location. Can anyone tell me if it's chick friendly? I may still use a different place for mongering, but was wondering. Thanks for any feedback.

I wouldn't call the Tropix a "central" location. It's on the other side of the "highway" and a decent hike to downtown El Batey.

I've only been there once, very briefly. The hotel doesn't have a bar, and I assume it is chica friendly, as there seems to be no one around running the place. You might be happier at Europa.

Thanks for the info Shadow. I guess people leave reviews and give a positive spin when it may not be warranted. The Europa in the daytime seems to be fine from what I've read, but during nighttime, it might leave me searching for something better.

Hi everyone,

Do anyone have any info on where there are some nice Waterfalls near Sosua area. I would love to go to a waterfall if it not far from the beach.

Would really like to get some info on this.

The only waterfalls I know about are in Jarabacoa, which is about 2hrs away more or less. They have tour companies in town that take you out. You can go horseback riding up to the waterfall, walk a bit, and dive right in. White water rafting is also popular.

No there is a waterfall just outside of PP me and my buddy went there on a tour. Its truly amazing crystal clear water in which the tour involves climbing and swimming 7 stages. I cant remember the tour name but we booked the guide through black beards for 55usd.

I booked a similar tour with a guided horseback ride and meal through Billy at Field of Dreams.

I met the owner at new Shark Bar one night in June 06, she implied that she did NOT consider her establishment a monger spot. It may be "chica tolerant" - but is almost certainly not chica friendly.

Several tour companies in Sosua go there. Just copy the name and show it to them.

I’m planning my first visit to DR, (Sosua) I have RTFF and think I have a good feel for the mongering, and I’m not new to the hobby but any tips would be welcome.

What I would really like to know is if fishing is available, (sometimes I need a break from fucking) if so what type is available, and at what cost?

Thanks

There is plenty of good fishing.... most hotels can hook you up.... or try going to DR1 they have a good site for getting that non-momgering info.

O.K. which one of you was it? Who was responsible for this? Who was the guy responsible for using the high-powered vacuum and absolutely sucking the life out of this place? ;)

Sosua has never exactly had the best quality of women unless of course you consider 6's and 6.5's with questionable personal hygene - high quality. But when did the scores of Haitian working girls arrive who are 3.5's with NO personal hygene?

Prices for girls are dirt cheap, but food in the Mora Mai, PJ's and La Roca's is up across the board. Way up! It doesn't get much better in the Playero Supermercado where a six pack of Presidentes is $7 US. I can do a hell of alot better than that in the Bronx in NY, and the beer is being made up the street! :(

I may be "bolting" soon.

Santo Domingo, le falto! Le falto mucho!

cheers............

SuperSuper was selling Presidentes at 700 pesos a case????

I agree there has been an influx of darker women but there are still a good number of light skinned chicas too.

When were you there and how drunk where you at night? Did you check out Classicos and Passions? or Club X and the beach???

EK,
When was I there? I just finished my breakfast at the Mora Mai restaurant 10 minutes ago. I had the Desayuno Grande con los huevos revueltos. :)

I realize that "flaming" Sosua is a war I'll never win. So I'm not going to try. There is just too many guys that worship this place and made their reputation on this board and other boards based on their trips here. (Some senior members I know ONLY come here. You ask them about some place other than Sosua and they're clueless)

My last time to Sosua, was Dec 2003 and I think quality has dipped considerably since then. Life is afterall a series of choices and if I had to rate the top DR destinations I would say the Capital stands alone Santo Domingo 1st , with Santiago a respectable 2nd.

(That however is my list in this country - don't even get me started with my trips to Colombia and Venezuela!) ;)

cheers all..............

Hey Fantasy!

Yes, that is pretty much true. At some point over the past two years Sosua seems to have turned into Boca Chica. The quality, the atmosphere etc.

I'm not exactly sure when it happened, but I'm not thrilled about it. :(

I could not agree more. If I didn't have the connections on the North Coast I've developed over the years Sosua would not be my preferred destination on the island.

well guess who just semi-saved my vacation here in sosua? blausi. yeah, i know that blausi. (lol) i here all you guys laughing.

the world famous "palace" blausi is now a free-lancer who works somewhere between the bar alegria and the beach. she actually looks pretty damn good! thin, curvy and she always had a decent face and great little tits.

so there i am sitting on the balcony of la roca's sipping a presidente light and peeling the label off in even strips (because i'm bored out of my mind) and here comes blausi walking up from the beach.

i'm absolutely amazed to see someone i recognize so i call over to her. (here's the funny part) she grabs one little quick glance at me (maybe 5 seconds) and recognizes me immediately! she runs up to the balcony, hugs me, remembers my "real" first and last name, remembers she spent a night with me in the palace penthouse and that she posed for a series of pictures in some lingerie i brought in from the states. i was dumbfounded! i haven't been to sosua in 2 years and 7 months!

when sosua street girls know you on a first name basis it may really be time that i consider getting a life! (lol) :d

we went back to my condominium and had 2 1/2 hours of unmemorable sex. the great thing about blausi is that she's a consumate pro, and this was what i needed tonight. i'm not exactly the smallest guy in the world (anywhere) but its never too much for blausi!

she can take anything you can put in her with no problems, and she can do it with this disinterested expression on her face like she's making out tomorrow's grocery list! (lol)

i then went to antonio's italian/dominican restaurant and got into a discussion with the bar maid about whether barrio tres ojos is the worst neighborhood in santo domingo. tomorrow is her day off and i took her number for drinks.

all n' all a full day in sosua. :)

to me sosua is a quiet beach town with free flowing gossip. i guess thats why i love it. as far as scoring there in the disco? not anymore. but its just a hop skip and a jump over to pop or santiago. i never liked large cities, not here in the states, or on vacation. give me a small beach town any day over the bustle of santo domingo and the likes.

Well my exciting (lol) return to Sosua is nearly at an end, and its real had to put a good face on things. :(

After a 2 year 7 month layoff I returned to find Sosua, pretty much a dilapidated dump, and after some of my trips to central america I'm somewhat of an authority on dilapidated dumps! (lol) :D

There is a sad lineup of largely unattractive women trying to make a living on the street down here, and with the economy as depressed as can be the game in town now is 1. find a gringo 2. follow the gringo 3. steal, beg, cheat lie but do whatever you have to to get every last penny out of him any way you can!

I know that is nothing new for this place, but I've never seen it as bad and as depressed as this. Too, you have literally hundreds upon hundreds of Haitian nationals combing the streets looking for whatever they can score as well. :(

The one positive thing I could mention is that it seems to me that the prices for women is still low and possibly getting lower. There are so many unattractive Haitian and Dominican women walking the streets looking to make a buck I should think ST could probably be negotiated (at least during the day) for as little as 1200 RDP or maybe less. ($38)

I have reached the point in life where quality is what I'm after and finding something that is maybe a 4 or 5 and going after it just because it can be had for $40 doesn't "juice" me.

cheers,
FORD

Cheers,

FORDI have no idea where you have been looking but the latest reports that I have seen had very attractive women in all varieties.. A non monger just returned from a bachelor party and showed me promising videos of the quality of women.

So really I find to say the majority of the women are ugly is ridiculous. unless you are one of those guys that likes mostly the white looking girls and anything outside of that is ugly..then it that case, you would be correct.

Just the Facts.

Any recommendations for my visit? Northcoast or Dolphin dive centers?I'll be in Sosua next week.

Hopefully it won't be Boca Chica, as I will never return there. Being on Duarte Street in Boca for 3 days and seeing the same girls got very old in a short amount of time.

I'm a 7th time traveler to the DR, staying at BB's for 5 times but am looking for something a little different. I've always enjoyed BlackBeards but have gotten a little restless at being "gawked at" by the resident hookers after the deed was done with nowhere to go. At least in Sosua there is small town to stretch ones legs and take a walk. On my last trip from POP to Sosua I witnessed a cast of girls sitting a block away on the strip not far from the Palace that looked like the Oakland Raiders.

I'm staying at Europa Apartments. Any Advise would be appreciated. I promise to follow with a report. Good, Bad or indifferent

Just got back from a 12 day trip, and I must say that a great deal has changed from when I was there in April. The quality and number of nice looking women had dropped off big time. I found myself having to take my time in looking for what I really wanted, because these women can look like a totally different person outside of the lights in the club. I had several repeat sessions with several chicas that I found attractive, and the sex was on point. All in all, the 12 days in Sosua still beats anytime in the states.

I must say as an African American male, that I'm so damn tired of seeing all of these other brothers rolling in packs wearing those damn white tee's. Grow the fuck up!

I did have a chance to visit Santo Domingo and visit the campus of the Univeristy of Santo Domingo. I would highly recommend this for any person that would like to get away and see some educated Dominican women who are interested in American culture. My friend and I spent about six hours on campus and spoke with several female students. It was very refreshing to get some additional insight on the life of Dominicans. It is more to the Dominican Republic than Perdo Clisanate!

I will return to the DR, but I'm in no rush to get back. Looks like that I will hit Brazil in October, and Colombia in December. Take care and be safe.

Very very good Braves41! I agree with your comments about Santo Domingo completely. SDQ is the rythym of the island, it is the pulse of the island, as the capital goes - so goes the DR!

I am really amazed at guys who have taken multiple trips to the DR and never even been to the capital. You said it my friend - "There is more to the DR than Pedro Clisante"

I hope I got my numbers right....I think it's #5.

I'm in Sosua right now, after being in BC for 3 days. I am confused when people here say they are becoming the same place. For me, the current differences in my personal experience are significant, basic and worth noting. Of course, with all things YMMV.

1. BC is a very small place. In two days you've been approached or seen most of the P4P girls on the beach, on the street, or in the parque. Sousua is a bigger playground. It's no city...and you do see the same girls in the same places...sometimes. However, there is always something new to find around the corner and I've been here for 5 days so far.

2. In the evening, it seems that the only action in BC is the high-priced casas or on the street, which is a damn zoo. The street, Duarte, is a hell hole to walk on, especially at night. The girls are aggressive. They grab you. They shout at you. After the first night, I avoided the street altogether and walked on the street behind it, to and from the parque where I felt more comfortable, but even that could be aggressive, quick-- "you want to go with me" --with no flirtation foreplay and if the chica was fea, you couldn't get rid of them! Also, if you want to sit alone in the parque in BC it is impossible. In less than a minute you will be accosted and if it's someone you're not interested in. You have to move. They will not take "no" for an answer. They will not leave.

In Sosua you can stroll around. The chica presence is low-key on the street, focussed mainly in the bars---both the large noisy ones and the small ones with half a dozen seats. Even inside those, you get the looks, but not a whole lot of the aggressive chicas I had come to know in BC. Sure, some say hello and say something inviting, but they do not grab you and pin you in a hammerlock!

3. In BC I saw many real "skanks". Girls who looked like the drug addicts from back home. Real low life types, who don't even come on for sex, but just come over and ask for money. Very depressing. You start to feel dirty just being there. Here in Sosua, the girls are mostly real young and upbeat. Looks vary and are a matter of opinion anyway. I also noticed what Ford said about the large number of Haitians here now, as a negative. Two years ago I was here looking and couldn't find a decent one to spend time with. Now there is a club on the main drag in the more-or-less-middle of town that is almost EXCLUSIVELY HAITIAN! And for those who like the real dark meat, there are some real gems to be found. As you can tell, unlike Ford, I like the Haitianas---even though they have a not-unfounded reputation for being landronas. I've engaged two so far and both were legit and provided enthusiastic and smiling service all around. NO CEDULAS FOLKS. Many of the Haitianas don't have the necessary ID. One used a passport...and I went to CALYPSO with the other, a clean, but basic place you can use for ST for 300 pesos (less than $15 USD). They also provide soap, clean towels and condoms!

Also, RE: FORD'S REPORT. I am finding no problem with 1000 as a readily accepted number. Sure, they ask for 2000 or 1500 first, but when I say 1000 is what yo tengo, not even a whimper!

More later from Sosua....

Monger 3

After 3 years and 7 trips to DR, here are my thoughts. Sosua is on the decline...for sure. It is still fun as hell, but in my last trip this past winter, I saw many of the same *****s who were hanging around when I first landed like Columbus in 2003. Prices are still low, if you speak good spanish (1000ST 1500TLN), but you basically have too many knuckleheads going down there with their duty free rum and 50 Cent CDs thinking they are ballin' outta control and paying up for a$$. Since most jokers dont speak Spanish and are used to paying $200 for p*ssy in NYC, they are happying paying up to even $100USD for p*ssy in Sosua...I've seen it first hand guys. I am black American, and thought I should have stayed back in Washington Heights f*cking these ghetto chica instead of flying all the way to DR!

All this basically says 1) if you are a monger looking for more quality and fun in DR, I would head further off the beaten path. My next destination is Rio San Juan in October...I've heard great things. Sosua is a great 3-day, drunken, Man Can Bang bonanza...and little more. For a chiller time, with nicer surroundings, and sweeter p*ssy...head further from POP.

I also second the thought about Dominican universities...those girls are HOT HOT HOT and friendly and looking for a ticket too. I've seen plenty of wifey material p*ssy in SDQ and STI universities...literally, stop the press type girls.

Any info on places like Luperon? Monte Cristi? Rio San Juan? Nagua? Samana?

I'm now finishing up Day #6 in Sosua. It's my second trip here, so it's not all new to me...

I"m a white mature monger, greying but fit, travelling solo and not into the heavy drinking, heavy partying scene that is also happening here. Mostly now with several groups of African American guys, in their late twenties or so, and some maybe older, who are turning wherever they are into a big party. Most seem to be staying at the Europa and when they are hosting at the 4 Roses or The Domino the places are rocking! Some also seem to have rented SUV's and pack them with girls and cruise the main drag looking for more! I spoke with one guy from Philly who told me he had had 5 girls on his first night and paid them all in dollars---50 of them! He was real happy at that price. When I told him he could get by with 1000 pesos, he had to ask how much that was. When I told him $33, he was shocked. So that is some of what's going on, but I'm just observing that, it's not been my own experience of Sosua.

For the past two days I've met girls on the beach, sitting in the little food and drink stalls that line the playa. I usually will buy them a beer for a buck fifty and sit and chat them up. On each occasion, my interest in them was low and the heat of the day was high, the combination enough to take a pass.

Then, on each night after a forgettable and unremarkable dinner (there ain't great food here!) I cruised the main drag in town, stopping at one or two of the big bars at around 9 or 10 at night. They are hopping at that time with a lot of very dark girls. First night I connected with a Haitiana named "Marybelle". She was a damn beauty. Short, 20 y.o, big big tits and a great smile and laugh. She was hugging and sitting real close after about 5 minutes. We ended up at CALYPSO because she didn't have a CEDULA for 1000. Had a great GFE session. Couldn't have been better. Maybe I already reported this?

Then last night, went back to the same place, looking for a repeat. Marybelle wasn't there at 10PM, so I sat down with another very dark girl, older, maybe 25, Dominicana this time, and chatted her up. She was a little aloof. No touching and sitting at a respectable distance. She was quick to tell me that she worked during the day as a cook and only did this at night to support her 2 children. After about 20 minutes of small talk, uninspired at every level, I negotiated 1000 for a visit to my room. She agreed without any enthusiasm and we were off. The session was TERRIBLE. She wouldn't stop talking the entire time (I didn't understand what she was saying), but none of it seemed to have any point. She was just totally detached and wanted me to get on with it. Like she's singing some song in a low voice while I'm thrusting. Get it? I stopped and told her I was finished, it wasn't good for me and no problem, good by. She then acted like she didn't understand what was wrong and got insulted. She insisted that I finish. I did so as quick as I could...and got rid of her pronto. A real waste of time and $33 bucks.

I met Tom who owns (i.e. rents) the HAMBURGER PLACE next to Club Residencial. He's a Danish guy who's been here a year, married a Dominicana and is having a go here at running a business. He told me the fact that most here already know, that a salary for a shop girl, or one who works at his place as a waitress and cook, is 5000 pesos a month. He explained the obvious, how it's very tempting for these girls, who also have a real job, to take on a touristo for 1000 pesos for an hour or two of sex play! He told me that most are are single and open to it, if you make a decent impression. It's important for them, he explained, to have a real job. This makes the sex experience seem very different for them. Since they have a job, they do not consider themselves putas, only someone making a little extra on the side to help out with the cost of being a single Mom.

He also explained that many of the young girls here, both putas and the ones working in shops and restaurants, have had the typical Domincan relationship, one in which they fall madly in love, they fuck non-stop without condoms, since Dominican guys do not like to use them...until the guy impregnates the girl and then he leaves to find another girl, once the first one's belly starts to grow. The girl is left with the baby and no means of support. No welfare here folks! As a result, they turn to the street and voila: we find what we find!

OK. It's 8PM. Time for dinner and to see what the evening will bring....wish me luck!

Nagua? Samana?I just had to chime on on what you wrote. I am Black American living here in NYC. I think its a matter of time before that scene blows up for the brothers making the trek to Sosua. I say this because they dont know to stop. This is Republica Dominicana, not 125th Street. In DR, its Frank Reyes, not 50 Cent.
Total embarrasment if you ask me. Last time I was there, I walked down Pedro Clisante and said to myself: "if I wanted to see and hear this, I could have stayed home". Anyway, when I am there, I spend much of my time with my girl in Santiago, and the rancho tipicos along and out of the way of the knuckle heads as you so correctly described them. Just wanted to chime in here. Later.

OK...I'm in Sosua right now and I'm reading all this shit on the board here and I have a hard time with it...everyone seems to have such a narrow view of the possibilities and the realities here.

Sure, the main drag is full of "tigras" at night, calling out to you from their bar stools as you walk by. This happens all over, especially at the Classico, Club 59, etc. Sure, there is a lot of trash around walking the streets. So what! You just avoid them and hunt elsewhere.

Prices. Yeah, sure, most of the tourist joints charge OUTRAGEOUS prices. It's as expensive for a meal at some of the places recommended on this board than it is in LA or NYC. Paying $10-15 for an ordinary coffee shop meal is way off for me. LA ROCA should be called LA RIP-OFF and the place across the street, MORA MORIA (or something like that!) is just as bad. They charge a 26% bullshit tax on a meal that costs around $20 for something not very special. You can spend $30-$40/person there if you have a drink. In the Domincian REpublic? Even the board famous little joint called ROCKY'S, where everyone talks about the great breakfasts, is a gringo trap. I went there with a chica who speaks only Spanish and asked for the menu in Spanish. Out comes a menu with prices that are ONE-HALF the prices in English!!! READ CAREFULLY: THE ENGLISH MENU CHARGED TWICE THE SPANISH MENU. When in Sosua one must accept the fact that there are two economies---a Gringo price and a Dominican price. Sometimes it's just a few pesos more for Gringos, but in Rocky's ("We are the Gringo's Friend"), it's double! As far as food goes, for those mongers who are willing and/able to deal with a Spanish menu and a place with no other tourists sitting in the room....you can eat all meals for around $5.00 or less.

Now for the chicas. I know it's been said here before from the experienced guys, but mongers throwing around those 1000 peso notes are way off base. The girls that are going after them (i.e. the mongers and their big bills) are basically thieves. These are the "mafiosas", the "tigras", the "landronas". It's well known here. But somehow, many of the mongers hit town, with their head of their ass and don't think of what they're doing when they start throwing around the money.

The girl behind the small quiet bar, who is serving you drinks makes around 5000 pesos A MONTH! The same is true for the girl working at the little restaurant around the corner or at the beach. Their compensation, in other words, is about $33/week. Do we get that? $33 a week! They are not putas. They are working at a boring job every day and make 33 bucks a week to feed their kids, since most of them do not have working husbands who contribute. However, if you talk to them nicely, get to know them a little, flirt a bit and let them know your intention of a "good time" together....you will find they will OFTEN (not always!) come with you for a very nice session after work, or the next day, or whatever. They do not think of themselves as putas because they have a real job. However, they are tempted by 500 pesos for a night out, or even a few hours with you at the hotel. I have done this 3 or four times in 2 weeks with stellar results.

Also, it can pay off to look in places that don't seem like places to pick up women. Each day at the beach I saw this Haitiana "hair braiding" woman about 30-35 years old, with a classic Haitiana face and butt that the kind of curvature that could balance a tray of drinks. I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She'd always be a with a group of others just outside the beach area at the waterfront. After a day or two, I went over and stood there and just smiled at her. She and the other girls started laughing. They knew my intentions. She was not interested, but her friends kept chiding her on in Creole. She didn't speak Spanish. Through one of her friends, working as the interpreter, she asked for 2,500 pesos! for a day of entertainment. I was supposed to be taking her out on boat rides, having dinner with her, etc. It was crazy. When I told her that was out of the question, she backed off and said she wasn't interested. I offered 500 and she walked away. However, her friend assured me that for 1000 I could have her. Off she went to talk to her friend. Yes! It was arranged. She'd go home to bath and clean up and I'd meet her here in 2 hours.

I show up and there she is WITH ANOTHER GIRL, another Haitiana much younger and thin and gorgeous. She looked very Somalian actually. The other girls is presented as the "hermana" and I am to go with her, not the orginal, she keeps repeating "No puedo" for some reason. I insist at first on the orginal and make a fuss, but after about 10 minutes of nonsense, I go with the new girl for 1000. She's not a puta, but works in Puerto Plata at a hotel, doing cleaning during the day. And she is sweet, willling, HOT AS HELL and got wild in the sack with me. And says, "Thank you" and gives me a big hug when I give her the money! This is not the case with a "tigra". They usually ask for more and badger you till you want to start pummelling them!

These are the kind of story I've had in my two weeks here. There are others.

However, for those who want to hit the disco and buy drinks for full time putas at puta bars----you will not get what you pay for. You will get ripped off. I did. That's how I learned....

After a week here, I was in the mood for a break and decided to investigate further out on the north coast and go to a town called LAS TERRENAS, supposedly a sweet little beach town, without much action.

I had had a good time with a girl who works behind the bar at a place called SCANDALS (I think that's the name). It's just past CLUB RESIDENCIAL, away from the direction of "town", on the opposite side of the street. I had had drinks there for two nights and each time I flirted with a sweet little 1/2 Haitiana, 1/2 Dominican bar girl. Very dark, tight body and very friendly. On the second night, we're playing wilth each other and another one of the bar girls tells me that I can pay a SALIDA of 300 pesos ($9.00) and take her home. I ask if she's interested and she says, "No problema." Well...well. We walk across the street and have a hot, exhausting session in my room. Out of the cama she's low-key, fun and happy.

The next night, I return and she's there with a big sonrisa for me. I tell her that I'm planning a trip to LAS TERRENAS for an overnight stay and ask about her day off. Maybe she'd like to join me? She says, "No problema!" We can leave tomorrow. What? Sure, she says. The "salida girl" comes over and asks for 600 pesos ($18 USD) for two days. I pay the bill and we're out of there, planning to leave the next day! She spends the night with me (no $$$ asked) then the next morning, gets her stuff, we have breakfast together and off we go.

The only way to LAS TERRENAS, a place where she'd never been, was by guagua, since CARIBE TOURS (the big air-conditioned bus) only goes there from Santa Domingo. We take a series of 4 guaguas, through the countryside, packed like sardines, stopping for locals in the campo, go over a mountain or two with breathtaking views, pass through NAGUA a desolate beach surrounded by a dusty non-descript town and she's sitting there next to me, patient, quiet and occasionally smiling. I'm enjoying the typical Dominican scene in the guagua with people getting on and off, chatting with each other, seeing friends, etc. It's hot as hell and crowded, but I enoyed it, but that's just me. After 4 hours of this we arrive at our destination and it's everything I thought it would. Tranquil, BEAUTIFUL BEACH, world class IMHO. At night the beach area (tourist area) is quiet and the stars light up the sky. Since this is not a LAS TERRENAS report, I'll stop...

Point of the story is that this beautiful little chica (21 years old) spent two days and two nights with me on a trip I could have taken alone. She was not a full time, big time puta----just a girl who saw an opportunity for a pay day. She never asked for any money, but I let her know there would be some at the end, never mentioning an amount. When we got back to Sosua, after a fine time in L.T. walking around, sitting on the beach, exploring the town and doing the deed 2x/day, I went to the bank, got 3000 pesos and gave it to her. She gave me a quick little hug and was off to take care of some business. Finito. Over and out! 3000 for her, 600 for the bar, a bunch of meals and some drinks and it's a done deal for 2 days of fun. A bargain and again....much better than cruising the discos for hard core putas! IMHO.

So, while Sosua may be declining on the surface and being overun by Haitians (so what's wrong with that?), there's still a quality holiday there for the taking---if you speak a workable Spanish, make the effort and have some patience.

Enjoy.

"the place across the street, MORA MORIA (or something like that!) is just as bad."

Surprised to hear someone who is dissappointed w/ Morra Mai. They had the best food and prices in Sosua when I was there in 2002 and 2 months ago when I was there. We ate there for breakfast, lunch and dinner and found the food and service great. And the prices were the best part - i'd have been willing to pay more!

To Member #2128,

I have to admit I am thoroughly enjoying your reports on your trip to Sosua, BC, Las Terrenas and all around the DR! You write well, and your style suggests that you took in the country at your own pace and enjoyed your time there and your experiences. Very nice work! :)

I just wanted to make a few comments. I did not enjoy my recent trip to Sosua. (Hey, I'm being honest) As compared to 2003, I found the quality of the women to be way down, the petty street nonsense (crime, solicitation) to be way up and I thought that Sosua had lost that "electric" atmosphere that gave it it's unique and enviable reputation.

I know that in the past year the north coast (incl. Sosua) has been inundated by Haitian immigrants who have escaped near anarchy in their native country, and they have added substantively to the increase in crime and poverty. I also said that I don't find the Haitian working girls attractive at all. (Of course this is just my personal subjective opinion)

Since I've returned I've received quite a few pm's. As usual most of the pm's are asking my advice on Santo Domingo and Curacao. Others were from guys who agreed with me about how Sosua had declined in the past three years and thanked me for my candor.

There was however one PM that left me shaking my head. One guy suggested that the reason I'm not attracted to haitian women is because "you must not like black girls!" "Ford, if you're one of those guys who only likes really white women, its no wonder you didn't like Sosua"

Let me just set the record straight and get this off my chest. I didn't take 12 trips to the Dominican Republic and 2 trips to Jamaica because I don't like black women!! I have slept with very light skinned women to very dark skinned women and every skin tone in between and I just like beautiful women!! It makes NO difference to me what color a women's skin is - if a girl is beautiful she is beautiful! :)

I don't find Haitian women attractive in general because of their facial features. Member #2128 made mention of a Haitian girl that he met at the beach that he described as "thin and gorgeous" . He went on to say that she sort of "looked Somalian"

Now I would love to see a picture of that girl, and I'm sure she is quite attractive but subjectively (to my taste) I don't think that is a girl that I would be attracted to. It however, has nothing to do with the color of her skin. I have created a picture in my mind of a women who is "very attractive and has an appearance that is consistent with someone who might come from eastern Africa (Somalia, Kenya) and I don't think I would find that attractive.

I have however, met and spent time with very dark skinned Dominican and Colombian women over the past several years and I think they are perhaps the most beautiful and sexiest women on the planet!

People are attracted to the people they are attracted to!

(thanks for letting me rant)
cheers,
FORD

Member 2128:

Restaurants in the DR all charge. . . .or should charge 28% tax on top of the bill.
18% is ITBIS and 10% is sort of an included gratuity that goes to the wait staff etc.

Rockys absolutely does not have 2 different prices depending on an english or spanish menu. Their ribs are famous and very reasonably priced.

As far as the restaurant and shop girls in sosua not being putas. . . . . .sort of a grey area there. Many girls realize the best way to meet clients is to work at a bar. They get a small salary, some tips and if the customer pays a salida, they make extra money. The amount of waitresses in Sosua that are not "available" is very few.

In bigger cities and less touristy spots there are plenty of waitresses that are non pro. If the bar charges a salida. . . .she is pretty much a hooker.

Unfortunately, this will be my final "on-site" report...my 19 day adventure in the DR has come to an end and I know, sadly, it will be much too long before I'm able to make another trip.

Ford, thanks for your comments and compliments. I've been enjoying your reports and your good will on this board for some time. The positive attitude you convey has been an inspiration when it came time for me to make a contribution here.

Basically, I guess that everyone has the the kind of trip and experience in Sosua (and the rest of the DR) that's right for them. Some think that Rocky's breakfasts are something special, some think that paying a 28% tax on a U.S. priced dinner in no problem, when there are are other, less tourist oriented restaurants that don't charge the tax. Who am I to judge what's best for EVERYONE? Maybe the point is that there are many choices available and each visitor gets to choose what they like best.

The same is true for the girls. There are opportunities for a variety of experiences, with a variety of girls, whether they be Haitian or Dominican, light or dark. It's whatever turns you on. Given the choice, I tend to gravitate toward the darker chicas. But that's just me. And I was not disappointed in Sosua. On any given day or night, anything was possible.

The gamble for me was whether or not I would have a positive, enthusiastic, energetic encounter, or one that was all "sales pitch" with not much delivered, or even worse, problematic and troublesome. This does happen! For instance, a number of times, after the fact, a girl would ask for more money that had been agreed upon (I never paid more than 1000) and would keep insisting, and badgering you for an extra cinentos. In the beginning I got engaged in the process of argument and got angry, then I learned to ignore it and say "no mas" and take it in stride, without getting too emotional. More or less, ignoring the request seemed to work much better than trying to justify the fact that you had agreed upon a price beforehand.

Finally, I do want to recommend CLUB RESIDENCIAL, which a few here have asked about. The staff (and SECURITY GUYS) are your friends, the rooms (actually small apartments!) are kept up and everything works fine. The location is convenient and quiet. I'd go back without any hesitation.

If anyone has any particular questions about anything re: Sosua or Boca Chica, I'll do my best to provide the information I have from my own experience.

Just return from sosua on Saturday and had a fantastic time as usual. I stayed in an all-inclusive and my mongering adventures wereon the main stretch of pedro clisante, the small bars, discos and restaurants.

Durind the day I would walk on the main street and would find many chicas hangin around the many local bars and restaurants, just make eye contact and the response would be fantastic.

During the evening the discos are jumping especially the classico, After 11 many more girls would show up and the disco upstairs would be packed. Again, just make eye contact and let the action begin.

You can take the girl out of the disco without paying a bar fine and head for the sort time hotel calypso- 300pesos.

Have fun guys and don, t spoil the girls too much.

i'm not here to argue with my betters, c.s. who lives in the dr, if i remember correctly... or with ford, who is the monger's monger, but to provide some perspective from my own experience in both places.

first off, if you're fluent in spanish i'm sure that sd holds many pleasant chica surprises in the streets and cafes, where a conversation can be started that goes beyond "como te llamas?" however, if you're getting by on high school spanish and can't really understand the language when it's spoken at the rapid speed of an average dominican, you'll be at a loss when it comes to creating monger opportunity, other than picking up aggressive hard-core hookers that hang at the casinos, walk the malecon, or can be found in some seedy bars.

people here often talk of the possibility of girls from the university. however, if you're over 35 and don't speak fluently, that option of chatting up 20 year old non-pros is more or less off the table i imagine. i never tried it

the other opportunity for the non-fluent monger in sd, is the casa de citas, basically *****houses, where there are very attractive young women that get 2500 pesos ($78 usd) + cabfare and tip. you look over the line-up, pick one, take her home, do the deed and say goodby. bottom line is maybe close to $100 usd when you add it all up---for a one-shot hour of so of very professional playtime. imho, that's like shooting fish in a barrel. no sport. no fun. just a biological release.

so while the experienced spanish speaking guys can find a good time in s.d with totally hot dominicanas, the non-fluent, middle aged guys like myself, start to feel lonely and abused ($$$) in the big city.

on the other hand, like ford said and c.s. agreed, sosua is more in your face, the chicas are more visable and available. a minimal spanish is not a big deal when it comes to meeting chicas on the street, in the bars, at the clubs (merengue bar!) and at the little counter restaurants and bar/cafes. they are everywhere. they are friendly, sometimes almost too friendly, and you have a solid variety and large number to choose from in any given place on any given day. so what's the problem, when you factor in that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" quotient? each day becomes an adventure. you never know where and how you might meet your next new friend!

the price in sosua for a st get together of several hours, as of two weeks ago, was 1000 pesons ($32) "no problema...", which is helpful when you want to sample the grand buffet during your stay without groaning with indigestion when you add up the cash withdrawals from your atm.

the other factor that no one has mentioned about sd is the cab drivers. you do need them to get around if you don't know the city and they always ask for way too much money! they're asking the eqivalent (300-350 pesos) $10-15 usd for a 5 minute ride. and screw the gas price! these guys, are way outside the dominican economy, when it comes to over-charging the gringos. i walked my ass off in the heat of the city to avoid these bastards. in sosua...cabdrivers not needed. motocoches....20 pesos in town if you don't feel like taking the walk.

so while you may very well find some sophisticated, gorgeous urban gem who will hop on your rod in the city, if you speak a fluent spanish....in sosua you'll have a more economic, go-go-go sex adventure with more than enough chica time and with girls who are attractive (to you!), unless, of course, you're looking for.....who knows what?

strickly imho,

President Leonel orders bars to close at midnight
In Sosúa, Punta Cana and other tourist locations you don't really notice it much, but according to the government and church leaders, the levels of criminality have risen considerably in the Dominican Republic. The drugs trade and its associated problems seem to be the main cause.

President Leonel Fernández The President of the Republic, Leonel Fernández, has therefore decided to take drastic measures in order to solve these problems.
Firstly an extra 10,000 police officers and military have been put on the streets to reduce crime levels. Secondly, a new law has been passed changing the opening times for bars and discos. From Tuesday 25 July, all establishments selling alcoholic beverages, i.e. the bars, discos and restaurants, must close at midnight. At the weekends they may stay open until 2am.
Yesterday evening the entire main street of Sosúa (Pedro Clisante) was in chaos. Lots of tourists were disappointed to find that the Merengue Bar and D'Classico were forced to switch off the music and close the bars at midnight. There were plenty of police officers around to ensure that this new law was applied correctly.
A protest meeting has been organised for Wednesday morning in Casa Marina Resort, to which every entrepreneur in Sosúa is invited. Plans will be drawn up to try and persuade the President that this law should be more flexible in the tourist resort towns.

thought i'd share my experience on here too...

just spent 16 days and 15 nights in d.r. - my shortest trip ever since 2003 - and this time it was a little bit different. first, it was really like a vacation. for those of you who don't know, i'm usually mixing business and pleasure while i am back in town and going online morning, noon, and night, returning phone calls, etc.... in other words, doing some light "work". this time i only went online twice and had 2 business meetings. money didn't matter as it was me having a great time that mattered the most. second, i spent 13 of the 15 nights with the same chica. you'll see why later. third, i had no car troubles except for the one time my crv over heated. fourth, i didn't change my return ticket like i normally do and stay an extra month or two or three.

the weather was mix - sun and clouds with light rains every now and then.

the exchange rate was ok - usually around 32.30 to 32.50 pesos to 1 usd.

the girls were plentiful in the discos even with the new ley taking effect. some of you may have read about this already here or somewhere else, but for those of you who haven't, the ley will probably be reversed completely back to the way it was originally or be modified to allow party time until 1 or 2am every day of the week. if you ask me, i wish it was pushed to 1am every day. i like the fact that all the fun and hunting gets pushed up some and that i can now enjoy my entire day ahead after a night filled with drinking and fucking.

note: i only saw 3 or 4 new girls that i would have done if i was not shacked up those nights with this one chica. no problem - i'll get them next time and will be sure to add them to my carefully noted to do list. these girls may be new to me but old to many of you. sorry no pics of these 3 or 4. remember that i havent been to d.r. since early april when i last spent 4 months in town.

it was nice seeing some good old friends again: tampa, jim ship, fantasy, the sage, escott, and others.

now to the good stuff....

the rest of this report won't be as detailed as many of the fine reports found on here, but i will post a brief note about each experience that led up to each chica. no phone numbers or names will be shared. sorry, however, i might honor a request for an equal trade of chica information based on looks, enjoyment factor, and price. ya never know.

lastly, all useful comments are always welcome, but those based on hate, money management, and the like are not.

i arrived on time and immediately called one of my lady friends. she came over within minutes and brought her sister with her. she's 19 and her sister is 18. sorry no pics of her sister since she sent her sister home and came with me instead. i asked if her sister was my welcome back present and she looked at me and pointed and said if i want her sister that i was to forget about her completely.

the villa i help manage was still undergoing some heavy renovations, but no sweat, i checked into one of the private apartments i also help manage directly behind it for convenience purposes.

please view photo attachements of my lady friend - linda1,2,3,4, and 7.

****

i arrived on a tuesday and didn't want to count on the quality at the discos so i decided to do the pop run. thanks to fantasy and jim ship for inviting me.

we started out meeting 3 girls in puerto plata, but one had to go home. she just got off of english school and is a nice little spinner. she's been added to my well thought out to do list for my quick return. fantasy and jim ship hooked up with the two who could stay out and party all night. the one chica doing all the introductions that i have known for just over 3 years was surprised to find out that i knew her 2 other friends. i am glad to say that i know a lot of the keepers (no, not marrying - the ones that you wouldnt mind having repeat sessions with).

we then went over to frank's and had some girls play with me and everyone else and one took her claim on me. nice stuff, but i decided to pass and see what was at crystals and here is where it began.

i first had this tall model type sit with me and we talked but it was like talking to a cow. no communication - no good vibes - no good signs - means no salida with me. next.

i saw this one and she immediately put on the show. i liked the ease of the way things were going so i picked her. here she is with one of my dominican friends posing for the camera.

please see attached photos linda 9 and 10.

the first pic kinda of gives you an idea of why i chose her - nice sized tits, lips and petite. we were all in the disco and i decided to stay and drink some more and she did too. we left about an hour later and it was then about 3:30am. we're both drunk and wasted out of our minds. we get to the apartment and she sits for a minute and stares off as i tell her it's time to play, but then she stands up and says "me go now... money for me?"

what the fuck? is she out of her mind? my first night and she wants to put on this show and then bounce? well, yes. i decided not to get ugly, gave her some money, and she left. this was how my first night ended. it wasn't bad since i had a great time on the pop run and at the disco with this chic but it wasnt great either.

lesson to be learned: don't let the girls drink too much because then they just might shut down on you too and decide to bounce or just sleep it off. i find that many don't like having sex while they are wasted drunk and would rather wait for the morning to come to begin the fun. so now instead of getting two solid sessions (one at the night and one in the morning), you now are left with just one in the morning.

*****

i must have woken up around noon the next day and i was shooken up for a quick second. no one was sleeping next to me. i thought she had left on her own with some of my things, but then i remembered the nights events. i was glad she left.

note: if i did bang her drunk, it would have been at minimal effort and at minimal enjoyment for the high price.

i went to go get a bite to eat somewhere. i usually ate at suzanna's (local dominican food right next to leo's barber shop and plaza allegria) for 3 pieces of chicken stew, white rice, beans, and 2 juices for about 120 pesos or at la roca off the members menu for #2 - tostadas with chicken, #9 - bbq spare ribs with mashed potatoes, or the cheesburger with fries for about 155 pesos plus the cost of drinks. i also had to try the mixed seafood platter at morua mai for 495 pesos and say hello. it was so good that i had it twice on two different occasions. bailey's (the surf n turf was excellent on both occasions as well for 495 pesos) and alberto's (for real italian pizza 180 pesos for ham and cheese pizza or pasta) was another eating spot for me.

i then hit m&m massage parlor for 500 pesos. it was good as usual. on many occasions i left my boxers on and then she would take them off for that added personal sensual touch. me like!

i got a phone call from another lady friend and we chatted for a bit and she said she was on her way to sosua. i said ok, i'll be at the house. she shows up with her friend that she has always been talking about that is real pretty, etc.

here they are (the new friend is on the left). please see attached photos linda 11 and 12.

now i had two nice looking chicas with me my second afternoon back in town just like it was yesterday. i quickly made the decision to take them both back to my apartment.

i ended giving my friend (pictured on the right) two tops with some of that glittery design on them the girls always like and a pair of womens shoes that were in fashion i brought down.

note: most of the girls are either a size 7 or 7.5 in shoes from my experiences and a small in tops so it was easy to pick and choose and these items always make a great gift at very cheap prices.

****

note: this one is about the quality of chicas i have the pleasure of meeting and getting to know a lot better than the average traveler. i think once you are able to spend months at a time in any particular destination for pleasure, you have the time to sort them out, be picky, and find the gems and diamonds in the rough, which will hopefully then lead to a more developed relationship with these quality women and allow for more reasonable prices and special treatment and priveleges. plus being younger and fluent is always an added plus!

****

so now i have both chicas back in my apartment and i'm thinking to myself should i do both of them at the same time or what. many of you would say hell yea! but i decided to spend time with each of them separately first to enjoy each one individually, and then maybe go at it with them both.

note: i'd normally post nudes here, but i've decided not to post any nudes of chicas that i have some sort of relationship with. someone always tells.

after having some fun with my lady friend, i invite this one to come in. please see attached photos linda13.

i really started to get turned on by her but i was tired so i asked her to strip for me so i could see what i am getting when i call her the next day. i told her that she didnt have to, but it would be nice and smart of her to in order to get me really interested. she did and looked real nice!

i was hungry so i invited both of them to come with me have dinner at morua mai. took a taxi over. i ate the mixed seafood platter and you know what they had.... camarones, not the order of 4 or 6, but 10 each. no problem. i was really enjoying the company and time i had with them. the total bill with drinks included was about 2,700 pesos for three.

i saw the man himself and was warmly welcomed. i gave him him the package i brought from state side for him. he was happy.

note: be true friends with the right people through thick and thin and you'll be well connected in no time.... maybe.

we then went to bailey's for some ice cream and after dinner drinks. i called my other dominican friend over and the jeep arrives. we drive to pop and drop the girls off and then hit franks and cristals. i saw some cute girl at frank's, but then realized she had no ass. where did it go i asked my friend. we laughed and finished our drinks and headed to cristals.

i saw the party pooper again but didnt say anything to her. after another round of drinks, we headed out back to sosua to search for the perfect chica for me for the night. i had my doubts.

to be continued in part ii...

note: about my experience with the chica that wanted to leave early without doing anything and money... we just had a great time at cristals and then at the disco. she wanted to leave and asked for money. we didn't do anything. i did not feel like getting ugly and having any sort of confrontation. some girls can get stupid and start throwing shit and guess who pays for it at the end. i gave her some money. i forget how much, but it was enough to get her home i suppose.

again, this was more of a vacation for me unlike my other trips where money was not an issue.

****

so, where was i?

hit cristals again my second night as i did not want to take my chances at the disco and possibly get stuck with something below my standards. i saw the party pooper again but didnt say anything to her. after another round of drinks, we headed out back to sosua to search for the perfect chica for me for the night. i had my doubts.

my corner section was taken, but no problem. the guys at the disco hooked me up again and had me two tall chairs and a table set up in no time. i was just sitting back and drinking and chatting with my dominican friend and who do i see stroll in and almost ram me out of my chair? tampabukkake. he's back again. it was good seeing you again tampa.

next my friend says hello to a fat chic who he knows and this fat chic has a hot hot hot chica with her. i ask my friend who she is and he in turn asks the fat one. that's her sister! i play cool and look her up and down with out getting too excited and showing it.

she had me when she accepted my invitation to sit with me. a real beauty in my book. this is the one i spent 13 out of the possible 15 nights with.

please see attached photos linda 15.

we continued to drink a little bit more and chat and she seemed a little cold at first, but that was because she doesnt like to do this kind of stuff - ya know, meet strangers of all types for a fling to get paid - and she didnt know what to make of me either since she never seen me before. remember that i haven't been in town for 3 months. she just started showing up every now and then after i left in mid april. i thought of her as a regular girl just visiting, but after some questions i always ask them, i knew the deal. i didn't know i would like her so much as to spend 13 out of a possible 15 nights with her though.

by the way, she is wearing one of the gifts i brought down.

****

she is all women. i kept telling her "tu eres un mujer completo". we both smiled. she reminded me a little bit of a colombian chic and a lot like penelope cruz with that sex appeal and sophistication to her. damn she is fine.

we spent the next days and night having about 2 or 3 sessions in the day and 1 or 2 each night she turned me on so much. no kidding.

when we'd hit the discos, i would just sit down and sip my drink while looking at her ass bounce up and down and side to side to the reggaeton that was playing while feeling it all over from the bottom to the insides on out. wouldn't you?

here's what i'm talking about. please see attached photos linda 18 and 19.

****

note: the one i spent 13 out of the possible 15 nights with just made things so much more easier for me. she got down on my program and knew when i wanted to bang and had no problem with me wanting it 3 or 4 times a day and i didn't have to worry about her stealing shit from me. this relationship also helped me avoid chasing after some rat in the disco and finding out at the end that it wasn't worth it. not much to choose from by the way - as i mentioned in my first post, maybe 3-4 that i would consider during my trip.

in summary, the sex was great, the partying was good, and her company and attitude was excellent.

****

the sage [known on here under a different user name] then arrived and it was good seeing him as always. i normally run into him on his every trip.

one funny episode fit for a sitcom scene was when the sage was haggling with 3 haitian shoe shine boys and him saying "no, get away, no quiero ... no, no necesito, comprende... you want me to tell you in english..." it went on for about 90 seconds but by the time i was ready to get it all on film, it was too late. he finally got rid of the little poor boys just looking to make 5 or 10 pesos. both my chica and i were laughing hard at the scene and so was the sage when he realized what i wanted to do. i tried calling the shoe shine boys back but they gone off somewhere.

****

i decided to rent a crv for a week and negotatiated the price down to $40 usd a day and the deductable down to $1,000 usd from $1,500 - i will next try to get the ded. down to $500 - hey, ya never know. all in all, a good guy and place to rent from. being mobile made things easier and more attractive. brought down some favorite cds of mine and one that i made filled with the latest reggaeton classics.

as i reread this thread....

i recall the next time she came back with some extra clothes so she wouldn't have to go back to pop each day. one time she ran out of clean panties and i told her that was ok, she doesnt need them with me - me like without them on anyways.

i swung by la roca and couldnt find any good parking so i went down the beach road and found one. i decided to do something different and have lunch on the beach. total bill with pina colodas, soft drinks, and one double order of grilled sea bass and one order of seafood pasta was 1,500 pesos. i was blinded by the nice puffy naked pussy i saw through out my meal. she wasn't wearing any panties. life is good. real good.

****

she really got my attention the first time and kept it going as she was able to stay consistent with the snug and sexy outfits, sex drive, and overall great attitude.

here's another pic of the one. please see attached photo linda 21.

so we continued to bang at 9am, 12noon, break for lunch, and then again at 2pm before we would just chill until dinner time where afterwards we'd hit the casino and disco daily. we banged again when we got back from the disco as well. it was great!

the above was my daily and nightly routine with her for the 14 days and 13 nights we spent together.

note: i had a problem with the runs and she could tell i wasn't going to the bathroom just to [CodeWord134] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134). it must have been my pale face that gave it away. she had the solution - alka selzter with squeezed lemon juice after each meal and 1 tablet of prodom every 8 hrs while the symptoms were still around. 1 tablet of prodom costs about 20 pesos or so. after taking the prodom, no more runs. take serious note as this may happen to you.

after a night of drinking, i'd replenish my system the following day with bottled water and 32oz bottles of gatorade.

i just have a little bit more to tell about my trip which includes one bad experience with a chica. it happened when the 13 nighter had a monday night off with me and i went to the disco in search of the perfect chica.

to be continued...

****

so after partying 6 straight days and 5 full nights with the one, she gets a monday night off. i get another massage at m&m, do my stroll, and call some lady friends to no luck. i eventually hit the disco and it's close to 2:30am and i haven't found anyone to my liking until i see this one pictured below. i have been eyeing her for the last 4 or 5 nights. loved her face and tits on display and the sweatness to her.

here is her pic. please view attached photo linda16 and 17.

i asked her what she wanted to drink and she said a baileys. i told the water to put a shot of vodka in it. he did. i told her we'd leave once she sips that drink down.

the deal was for 3 pops and tln. she said ok. we went back to my apartment and started to bang. after 10 minutes of banging away, she stopped and asked me if i was going to cum yet and to hurry up! i tried to edecuate her and tell her that guys dont like that sort of talk and some guys would just throw her ass right out by the hair with nothing, but i wanted to be nice about it and finish. remember - i've been eyeing this chica for 4 or 5 nights now and i was determined to have my way with her.

we switch positions where i'm on top and i placed a pillow under her butt to elevate her pussy and slide and penetrate it a lot better and after another 5 hard and concentrated minutes, one pop down and 2 more to go.

i then asked her if i was going to have this problem with her in the morning time with her asking me every five minutes if i was going to cum or not and to hurry up. gentlemen, i can normally take anywhere from 30-60 minutes under the perfect circumstances. she stared off into space and turned to me and said in spanish that it is better she go home and for me to pay her. i explained to her that we had a verbal agreement prior to coming here and that deal was now off since she couldn't come through with her side of the deal. she demanded her money and all of it.

i asked her to leave the room as i went to lock up my valuables and get two five hundred peso notes out. before we left, i asked her if i could take her pic so i can remember how pretty she was, etc. she stupidly said ok. i took the pics to warn you guys about her.

i offered to drive her to her place in charamicos. it must have been around 4am by now. she first asked to stop by the disco, but it was dead, so we proceeded to her place. i told her she can have the gift i set aside and she looked at it and said in spanish that "i dont go out with gringos for less than 2,000 pesos" in a very nasty way. i tried to explain the deal but she wouldnt listen. she ended ripping up the two five hundred pesos notes into pieces and told me to go fuck myself, blah blah blah.

her passenger side door was opened as she stood there and started to tear afterwards with her standing outside. she then threatened to break all my windows and my head if she just had a bottle or a rock in her hand. as soon as i noticed her turning to the side looking at the ground for something, i switched gears and speed off, the door shut by itself and she did hit the jeep and dented it with a rock she threw. what a fucked up *****.

be warned gentlemen.

i didn't want to get ugly. i was feeling very very at peace during this trip without the least bit of stress and i did not want to ruin it for anyone, so i used the friendlier approach to things. i would normally drag her ass out by her hair and call the security guard to keep her out and then put her in jail for throwing the rock at my jeep and denting it plus have her banned from classicos. but i was being nice and didn't want to take the only means of earning money away from her.

p.s. i later found out that she went out with a close friend of mine and he had a very similar problem with her and at that time, she wanted even more money and was screaming and yelling, etc. stay away from this one.

Great reports NYC! As a first time poster but a long time lurker I was happy to read your report as I have been planning a trip back to the DR. I spent 7 yrs in Santiago as a teen until my family moved back to Canada in 1982. I suspect much has changed. Needless to say, as a teen, I was not there to hobby, but I certainly will be this time!

I have a few questions, for anyone who wishes to reply and I welcome all replies!

I am planning a trip to Sosua from 19 to 26 Aug. I spent many days on this beach from ’76 to ’82, before POP opened up so I expect things will be much different. There were days I was pretty much the only person on the beach!! I digress.

To keep the post relevant, my questions are:

1) Fluency – I am still fairly fluent in Spanish, should I let on that I know the language or should I pretend not to understand so I can hear what is being said in general without their knowing?

2) Where is the best place to stay?

3) What sort of clothing is recommended? Typical tourist (shorts and T)? Dress up a bit to go out (ie dockers and golf shirt)?

4) Should I try and link up with a few other mongers to ease the learning curve? I am well versed at home but have not tried the hobby in the DR.

5) What should I be careful of?

6) How do I prevent getting ripped off (price wise) and what are the going rates?

7) Car rental - I assume will make things easier to get into POP?

I know much has been commented on throughout this board already, but I see there are a great variety of answers to these questions so I turn to those of you who are “experts”.

Lastly, I may have my two sons with me, ages 18 and 16. I plan on staying at a “regular” place (with two separate rooms) and perhaps book a “special room” for myself at another chica friendly place. The two boys are pretty much independent and will do their own thing throughout the day leaving me to “do my thing ;)”. Any recommendations on how to handle this? I sure don’t want this info getting back to the Ex or “practice wife” as I call her.

I appreciate all and any advice

Mister,

After reading your report I am ready for my next trip to Sousa.. So much for the talent has gone down in Sousa.. If you know your way around you can find some nice talent at bargain prices.. Thanks again for the hookup in March, with one of the ladies in the photos.

Can someone post a link or tell me how I can rent an apartment in this area? It would be ridiculous for me to spend $100 a day for a hotel room. Thanks.

To keep the post relevant, my questions are:

1) Fluency - I am still fairly fluent in Spanish, should I let on that I know the language or should I pretend not to understand so I can hear what is being said in general without their knowing? [I WOULD JUST TAKE COMMAND FROM DAY ONE WITH YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE]

2) Where is the best place to stay? [SOME PEOPLE RECOMMEND PLACES LIKE HOTEL EUROPA - BUT I DONT LIKE IT SINCE IT CAN GET KINDA LOUD WHEN ALL THE PEOPLE FROM NYC AND PHILLY COME IN TO VISIT FROM THURSDAYS-MONDAYS. I PREFER A MORE PRIVATE SETTING LIKE CLUB RESEDENCIAL - HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM WITH THIS PLACE IS THAT THEY HAVE A ONE GUEST PER DAY RULE AND REQUIRE ALL CHICAS TO HAVE ID - SOME CHICAS JUST DONT HAVE AN ID DUE TO MANY REASONS - ONE BEING IT IS A LONG DRAWN OUT PROCESS TO GET ONE AND MANY ARE NOT PATIENT ENOUGH TO WAIT ON LONGGG LINES - EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE 18YO+. I HELP MANAGE PRIVATE RENTAL PROPERTIES IN SOSUA LIKE APARTMENTS WITH A POOL AND JACUZZI ON SITE WITH A VERY VERY LIBERAL GUEST POLICY - NONE AT ALL - AND SOME VILLAS IN TOWN AS WELL. TAKE A LOOK AT WWW.DEALQUEST.US/RENTALS/INDEX.HTML FOR MORE DETAILS.]

3) What sort of clothing is recommended? Typical tourist (shorts and T)? Dress up a bit to go out (ie dockers and golf shirt)? [I'D BRING A CAN OF OFF SPRAY AND USE IT WHENEVER YOU WEAR SHORTS - I NORMALLY WEAR SHORTS AND A T DURING THE DAYS AND LONG PANTS AND SOME TYPE OF BUTTON DOWN OR POLO SHIRT IN THE EVENINGS/NIGHTS - WHATEVER YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH I GUESS - ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS IS THAT YOU TAKE A SHOWER AND HAVE SOME MONEY TO SPEND ON THE CHICAS]

4) Should I try and link up with a few other mongers to ease the learning curve? I am well versed at home but have not tried the hobby in the DR. [START A ROLL CALL ON HERE TO SEE WHO WILL ACTUALLY BE GOING - IT CAN ONLY HELP MEETING UP WITH ONE OR MORE EXPERIENCED TRAVELERS TO THE D.R.]

5) What should I be careful of? [CHICA SCAMS - ALWAYS GO OUT WITH A CHICA THAT IS 18YO OR OLDER - DRUGS - STAY AWAY FROM THEM - DON'T USE THEM DOWN IN D.R. AND DO NOT ASK ABOUT THEM IN D.R.]

6) How do I prevent getting ripped off (price-wise) and what are the going rates? [TALK ABOUT EVERYTHING UPFRONT BEFORE YOU AND THE CHICA LEAVE THE BAR OR THE DISCO: PRICE, WHAT YOU WANT INCLUDED LIKE HOW MANY POPS, SOME PHOTOS, VIDEOS, ETC. - SOME PEOPLE HAVE THIS RULE OF PAYING 1000-1,500 PESOS FOR SHORT TIME AND 1,500-2,000 PESOS FOR THE NIGHT AND THIS WILL GIVE YOU SOME SORT OF GUIDELINE ON PRICE, BUT IF YOU SEE A SOLID 9 OR GOD FORBID A SOLID 10 AND SHE WANTS 2,500 OR 3,000 PESOS, GO FOR IT!!!]

7) Car rental - Recommended or stick to public transport?[DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU PLAN TO GO AND THE FREQUENCY. I LIKE PRIVATE TAXIS AND CAR RENTALS MYSELF FOR THE CONVENIENCE AND A/C. YOU MAY FIRST WANT TO LAND, CHECK IT OUT, USE TAXIS, AND THEN DECIDE ON IF YOU WANT TO RENT A CAR OR NOT. RENT FROM THE AIRPORT AND USE YOUR CREDIT CARD THAT HAS THE EXTRA CAR RENTAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE AND FOLLOW ALL THOSE GUIDELINES PROVIDED BY THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY FOR THE INSURANCE TO TAKE EFFECT]

The two boys are pretty much independent and will do their own thing throughout the day leaving me to do my thing. Any recommendations on how to handle this? [YOU HAVE A SHORT TERM STAY HOTEL IN SOSUA CALLED CALYPSO WHICH IS LOCATED AROUND THE CORNER FROM SUPER SUPER LIQUOR STORE AND THEY CHARGE ABOUT 300 PESOS TO USE THE ROOM FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE SO WHENEVER YOU ARE OUT ON THE STROLL AND SEE SOMETHING YOU LIKE, YOU MAY JUST WANT TO USE THIS ROUTE AND THEN GO BACK TO YOUR BOYS AT THE REGULAR FAMILY ORIENTED PLACE AND HAVE A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP] I sure don¡¦t want this info getting back to the Ex or "practice wife" as I call her.

I appreciate all and any advice

ENJOY!

Question fellow mongers. Is the Palace still open and is John still running it? I stayed there last year and met Fantasy and RSM Man. I may covertly go there at the end of the month. If it's shut down then please recommend something similiar. Thanks in advance!

The Palace is dump at least I think so. Try Mister Nyc place or the Europa, and also Club Residential if you want to be in ground zero of all the action.

Pana: It was nice to finally meet you too! Great suggestions on where to stay.

Again, I prefer the more private and a bit more spacious accommodations. A private apartment or villa rental is sometimes the best way to go especially when you like to live a little and don't mind spending a bit more for it all.

Is it me or does it seems like Sosua is getting worse? The reports I read here makes Sosua girls seem like street workers who like to rip people off? If a pro like Mister experiences women who rip him off what can a newbie expect? Should I even bother going to Sosua?

I stayed at the Voramar on two separate occasions.....it is a decent place, very chica friendly, about $30 a night or something close as I recall. The guys that run it (I think Dutch) are super and will help you in every way. They have a nice little bar and a simple restaurant that is very adequate.
Best advantage is they are out of the downtown area and so it is QUIET there so you can sleep when you want to. Disadvantage is the same...a short trip to downtown (only 50 cents on the motoconche) for about 3 mins. No big deal, but if you just want to stroll in the eve or go to the beach a moto is a must both ways.

I have stayed at the Europa on my last two trips and prefer that, just for proximity to the downtown and the chica bars that are literally outside the front door at Europa. At Europa it was worthwhile to ask for a room that is NOT facing the discos so you don't hear the thumping all night

If you're going to be in Sosua for a week or so, try both places out!!

Have fun....I always do!

Just like ZipHead stated down below and.... Mostly frequented by the Dutch and Germans. Never heard anything bad about the place though. Never tried it though due to the location. I like to be close enough to the action but still have my quietness and space too, thus I stay at the villa or at the apartments I mentioned. Yes, I help manage them both.

Yes, the girls who work on the street and sit on the stools in the bars are "street workers" who make money by attracting gringo tourists and offering up sex for a price. There will definitely be a significant number of those among them who will try to get the most money for doing the the least "work"...and when it's over, you'll feel "ripped off". On the other hand, there will also be those memorable hotties who will do what you expect, sometimes with a flair, and you will feel quite satisfied.

Part of the fun it seems and also the risk of the monger game, IMHO, is developing a 6th sense---to sense to know which ones will "scam" you and which ones will deliver all you hope for and more...and thereby, make the trip to Sosua worthwhile. As you get better at the game, you eventually begin to pick more winners than losers! But for me, it's more about me and my game, not about the girls.

When I have a "good experience" I mark it as one for me! When I have a bad one, I mark it as "the cost of doing business" and hope that it will develop my monger "intuition" to a finer edge for the next time.

However, even experienced vets like MISTER can stumble. Maybe it was her smile, maybe the tight stomach, maybe the promise of the tetas beneath the tight tee-shirt...who knows? It's often something to do with the "little head" making the decision, instead of "the big head". Or, just maybe she was a consumate "con artist". Whatever it was, IMHO, he (or any monger) missed the "red flag" that would have told him she was trouble. I believe it is this mongering skill---of seeing the "red flags"---that needs to be developed. When you start to "sense" trouble and avoid it, that's what creates more successful P4P experiences.

As I think I said in my reports from my recent trip, I was maybe doing a little better than 50/50 when it came to winners vs. losers. However, there were more scammers/con-artists in Boca Chica than in Sosua, by far...so my overall score in Sosua might have been 3 winners to 1 loser.

In the end: Practice makes perfect, right? You can't hit a home run if you don't take the swing...

Hi,

I agree with Member #2128 and it is all summed up perfectly in his first paragragh below, but let me add to why I picked her, etc.

1. Her cute natural beauty of a face
2. Her tits
3. She talked the talk and gave me the right vibes while she sat with me prior
4. She agreed to everything I wanted and smiled

Note: The problem with her started when I took more than 10 minutes. She also caused drama with my good friend. I also have another new friend who said he had no problems with her.

By the way, this is the first drama problem chica experience I have had since I started going to D.R. 3.5 years ago. She didn't rip me off. Yes, it was a tiring experience, but it ended up being a freebie ;->

Don't ever let one bad experience get in the way. Try to learn from it and move full steam ahead and onto the next chica.

DR Monger II: Maybe you should go to BB, but they don't speak english either! And you still arent truly guaranteed a great time.

I only like "visiting" BB, not staying, during the weekends of the Bikini contest, which is held on the last Saturday of each month. BB is too far away from it all and I have never really like the talent at that place. They occasionally get one HOT chica, but then again, I'm a picky bastard and all our tastes in quality and beauty are different.

You don't need much Spanish under your belt to have a fabulous time to begin with. Yes, it helps, but what helps a lot more is sticking to your guns about price and quality.

If you have the time, pick up a spanish english dictionary or a pocket translator to help you out on your adventure. It can end up being more fun than you thought originally.

You may also want to try Cristals, El Bohem, and what used to be called Frank's place in Puerto Plata for a ton of variety and variances in quality. The salida will range from 500-1,400 pesos to take the girl out of the place and the chicas will be happy with about 3,000 pesos for TLN.

Enjoy!

Yes, there are a wide variety of Haitianas (mi favoritas!)to choose from in the clubs of Sosua. The Good News: At the far end of Pedro Clisante, in the opposite direction from the beach...past SUPER SUPER....past CLUB RESIDENCIAL...past the OUTDOOR BARBEQUE...just past THE LITTLE MARKET & INTERNET CAFE on the left...is a two-story hotel with an outside staircase and a large balcony on the second floor. This is a place where I found several fine working-girl Haitianas, who were staying there. It seems to be a place Haitian girls stay and congregate, especially during the day.

There is another similar place, behind a small bar that is acrosst the street from the well-known tourista restaurant BAILEY'S. It is behind a gate and consists of a few small run down buildings with rooms for rent. They were staying there as well during my recent visit in July. If you prowl around back there, you'll get lucky!

BAD NEWS: The Haitianas speak CREOLE, which is a version of French. Can you understand this patoise? I spoke neither, but when you have a mission to accomplish...you find a way!

Have a great time....BTW, the Haitianas will frequently work for LESS than the going ST rate of 1000 if you are willing to give it a try.

More questions.

Do the girls generally approach you when you're alone?

Where can you get massages in Sosua? How much generally?

How has the curfew affected things?

Are there any brothels in the area?

Are there any chances of them banging on the beach?

Thanks again,

Let me help you out with some answers to your questions...

1. Yes, some girls do approach you when you are lone. You should also just wave any girl you like to come over to you and say hello and buy her a drink to get things started. If you want to be real frugal about things, first talk it up before hand, then buy her a drink. A cerveza should be just fine.

2. I get massages at M&M, which is located by the Banco Popular. While facing the bank, it will be on the left hand side in the small white shopping plaza. The general cost is 500 pesos for 1 hour. For a half ass massage with BJ at the end, try La Passions Massage and Bar on the other end of the strip. The general cost is 900 pesos.

3. The curfew has just moved the party to an earlier start time. Partying at the disco now starts at say 10pm and hopefully you would plan accordingly with the new curfew in mind (closing at midnight from Sunday-Thursday) and make your pick for the night way before closing. This allows for a true TLN experience.

4. No. The closest one to one in Sosua is La Passions. One is in the works though, but no telling how long it will take to open up. It looked almost done when I was in town over 2 weeks ago. You can also hit Puerto Plata and do the circuit course (Casa Ana Mirian, Cristals, El Bohem - expect to pay more).

5. Yes, it is possible. I have. Ask before you leave with your pick. Always make everything clear up front to set expectations before hand.

Enjoy!

What you said about the beach, is that concerning services during the daytime? Or is it for at night, that they'll have do a short time on the beach when its dark?

Since I'll be staying at an All-Inclusive, are there an tips you can give me to make mongering convenient (even though I'm sure you'll tell me that All-Inclusives aren't good for mongering, which I surmise).

What other entertainment in Sosua would you personally suggest?

Any interesting spots to go to outside of Sosua? A place with less tourists in the area(a place to practice my Spanish)?

Dear Fabien,

Let me help you out some more...

1. The beach: unless you plan on banging the chica in the water and carrying a rubber, then the night time is the only way to do it.
2. Go from bar to bar. First start out by the 4 bars near the Europa (the europa hotel bar, next to it Dominoes and Four Roses Bar and across the street, Plaza Allegria bar). Also walk the beach. I have written about this "fun" stuff and tips before. Read further down and look for my other posts you lazy guy. LOL.
3. Interesting spots outside of Sosua are only good if you know the language to begin with. Stick with Sosua and do hit the Puerto Plata clubs as I have written about before.
4. Every single male that you see in town is either a retired Canadian, German, Italian, North American or on vacation for the same purposes as you. Some like meeting up at the bars mentioned above or simply just hang out while others like La Passions. No ritual meeting places. Try them all out and say hello. Ya never know.

By the way, you can also list your exact travel dates and start a roll call on here.

Enjoy!

It sometimes isn't that simple. I ask because many stupid guys do fall in love while "mongering" and not knowing if you were one of them, I had to ask. If you were one of them, I'd ask to see a pic of the chica so I can tell you how many times I, my buddies, and my newest friends have banged the same chica over and over again and how she really liked it. I'm sure you understand better now.

If you are talking about that little bar and I do mean little bar right across the street from Bailey's, yes, I have walked by it, and I have had sipped down two drinks while I was there on two different occasions. My friend invited me both times otherwise I would not have gone. I do remember faces, but not the names since I never really care enought to ask when I spend such little time at dives like that. I call it a dive because I have never seen anything worth while at that place and it always looks so gloomy. I must admit though - I think I have seen a cousin of a chica friend of mine working there and I know she is HOT - cute face and petite body. Couldn't tell you anymore as I was just passing on by.

Using hookers in a third world country is a bit risky in my opinion. There are things that you can do to reduce that risk. Here is my top ten ways to play safer when you are mongering in a foreign country.

Joy Seeker’s Safety Tips for Single Male Third World Travel

1) Don’t get too drunk. Being drunk makes you a much easier target for thugs that want too hit you over the head and take your money.
2) Even when you are traveling alone, try to hook-up with other mongers. It is not only safer, but more fun.
3) Don’t be too cheep as to your hotel selection. Make sure that the hotel you stay at has 24/7 security guard, and an electronic safe in your room. When you bring your girl home, the guard or front desk should keep the girls ID card until morning.
4) Always take taxies at night even if it is a short walk from the bar to your hotel. In fact in some places it is not that costly to rent a taxi and driver for the night, this will increase your safety greatly.
5) Don’t stay out until 3 or 4 AM. In my opinion you should be back in your hotel room with a 20 year old girl that can suck a golf ball through 10 foot of garden hose by 12 Midnight. This is not only safer, but more fun. After all you can stay out late in smoky bars and get drunk at home. What you can not do at home is get a pretty 20 year old girl in bed with you for under $100.00 (often much less) at home.
6) Do not pick-up a girl of the street. This street girl could be a pretty lady boy. Go to an trusted establishment, ie Go Go bar, beer bar, massage parlor, and pay the bar fine. After all the bar fine is going to be less than $20.00 and if you have a problem you know where the girl works, and have someone to complain too (also the bar fine insures you that the girl is a girl and that she is over 18). Being too cheep can cost you.
7) When drinking at a bar, only order beer and drink it from the bottle or can. In third world countries the DON’T DRINK THE WATER. If you order a drink with ice you are drinking the water. Also it is easier for someone to slip
something into your drink vs. a beer that you do NOT leave at the table. Yes take your beer with you when you go to the toilet
8) Have three options for getting cash – electricity may be out – ATM can not be found or is out of order—ext. Option: 1. Old fashion American Express
Travelers checks, 2. Green peaces of paper with Ben Franklins picture on it.
3 Plastic ATM cards and Credit cards. Keep most of your money in the safe in your hotel room along with your passport and Plastic. Carry a copy of your
passport with you and only enough money for the evening.
9) Do research before your trip. RTFB Read the F—ken boards
10) The most important rule I saved for last. Use your big head not your little one. Be alert to your surroundings. If you since that something not right, listen to your instinct.

11) Bring lots of condoms from home.

That's the place and probably the chica too by the way you described her. She has quite a bit of family living in El Batey and Los Charamicos. And yes, that's the dive too by the way you described it.

For me its a good place to sit in the shade and watch people going to and from the beach and they keep the Presidentes nice and cold. At night though there are some really skanky women hanging around there. I'd stay here and do fat, cigarette smoking, big mouthed tatooed American women before I'd pull something out of there at night. Neither is a pleasant thought.

It might have something to do with the "morality sweep" that Leonel has promulgated. A few years ago, other hotel owner(s) envious of John's success began rumoring that he was dealing and permitting drugs to be used there. In my zillions of times in Sosua, I never saw any evidence of drugs on the premises. But under Leonel's clean up campaign, speculation, conjecture, rumor or the like regarding drugs, are enough to get a place closed down.

The $15 charge is for an extra chica visit. As far as where to stay, I would recommend Europa in Sosua. I stayed in Puerto Plata one night and toured the city with a local guide. Although there are opportunities for action in Puerto Plata, I feel like sosua gives you more options for anytime action. If you stay at the Europa, all you have to do is sit on the curb near the hotel anytime and chicas will walk past and offer their services. It's like shooting fish in a barrel!!! Just like the other commentator said, Europa is in a great central location on the main strip and just blocks away from all the great bars and nightclubs. Mornings you can catch the girls leaving the overnights... afternoon I would say the beach and/or Passions for a relaxing massage with an oral finish for $30... and the women are take out as well... they finish early and you can work them to a club and then your bed....

I do love sex in the morning. The idea of catching the TLN chicas as they leave others' rooms is something I have never thought about. Does anyone else have ideas for sex from 9 to noon? If I make a date for the next morning with a chica at a bar, will she show up?

Great! Why don't you just call or email Diego, the owner, of Europa. They get these questions all the time and know what goes on.

You should definately stay in Sosua for the easy access to it all. _________________ MISTER NYC c2006Diego at Hotel Europa gave thorough answers to many emailed questions, from threesomes to air conditioning to payments, so I will be staying there.

I especially like sex in the morning, especially threesomes with alert and eager chicas. Also, I found in Costa Rica and Buenos Aires that I tended to have more fun with part-time chicas who had regular jobs or who went to school and who just wanted some extra money for themselves, their kid (s), and their mom. They tended to avoid places that Uncle Pedro could see them, but you could find them in places where it was clear that they were working. They tended not to speak English, and my rule to avoid all English-speaking chicas has paid off well in recent trips.

Does anyone have suggestions as to where the semi-pros might hang out? Indeed, is the pursuit of semi-pros a worthwhile thing in Sosua and nearby communities? Is the beach a good place? Any particular bar?

Is it a good strategy to make arrangements with chicas in bars at night to visit me the next morning? Will they provide phone numbers so I can call in advance to see if they are really going to show up? What would be the no-show rate? Is it possible this curfew policy could actually be a good thing for a morning monger like me?

I know the answers to these questions probably depend on my Spanish. I can communicate, slowly, but lack skills with verb tenses.

If you are in Sousa they are around during the day in the stores and offices etc.... but you can just grab most of the fresher looking ones and choose one to spend time with much easier... but if you need a project off you go......

Riverm: Just get to Europa. Hopefully you'll arrive during the day so that you can take a long walk and get your bearings. Just go out the front door of the hotel and turn right. Sosua awaits. The town isn't that large. You'll find semi-pros all over town at any time of day. Don't worry about your Spanish. If you don't find what you're looking for, take a pass. More will be around shortly and at night, its sometimes difficult to make a choice because of the multitude of women.

If I was a first timer there and know what I know now, I would stay away from Four Roses, the bar next to it, the Hatian place across the street, the Cowgirl Bar, Central Hotel and C'est la Vie. There are plenty of other places to find some prime women. Remember, you get what you pay for. Beach cruising during the day is a must. My personal preferences are Siempre Sol and the Shark Bar but there are plenty of other places on the beach with women.

All over town, watch for pick pockets. Bring only as much money as you need, don't flash it and keep it in a buttoned or zippered pocket. If any woman even touches you after approaching, odds are she's a thief. If they grab your arm, forcefully break their hold. If they approach you, set your space and keep them away. The "nice girls" in Sosua wouldn't do that.

No drinks, cigarettes or money to those that ask for it. Europa has a safe in every room. Use it. If you take a girl out to dinner, don't take her to a nice place as she'll just order the most expensive thing on the menu. A mid-priced place will be fine as she'll be eating better than she has for a week. If you're not interested in having a girl hang around, tell her to leave. If she insists on money to leave, then you leave. If she won't leave Europa, merely call security. Treat the employees at Europa well and they'll bend over backwards for you on your next trip.

For a newbie, I'd recommend staying out of Los Charamicos at night. El Batey is much safer with more gringos on the street. Don't bring or buy any "recreational drugs" as your first drug offense is 5 years in a Dominican prison. Don't get so drunk at night so that you're an easy target.

Don't drink the water or even brush your teeth with it. Always use bottled water. Bring Imodium. I never travel without it. If you feel safer with traveler's checks, they can be cashed at Europa or any cambio in town.

You gotta go to the car wash on a Friday or Saturday night. Car washes are uniquely Dominican. There will be a couple hundred semi pros at the car wash on a good night, particularly if a well known band is playing there.

Any other questions, feel free to PM me.

I actually miss the Cowgirl Bar. Yes its been closed for about (1) one year.
It was fun to Bachata dance with the chicas and chat it up with them. It was a comfortable place. Of course, there was never any real "stunners" working there.

I remember one of my regulars telling me that she had to sit around the bar from 6pm to at least 2am in the morning (If they went upstairs to their rooms before 2am they got a talking to) and she would be paid 100 pesos a night, plus any tips they made serving customers beers and whatnot.

3000 pesos ($90) mensual (monthly) paid at the end of the month, they had to work every single day. Good God, what a life! :( Listening to the same Elvis Martinez and Joey Veras songs over and over and over again on the bar's sound system.

I have a question, what's up with the bar that opened right across the street from the Cowgirl Bar? I was down there two months ago and walked in. It looked like the same setup as the Cowgirl Bar, same type of girls sitting around mouthing the words to the Frankie Reyes song blaring out of the speakers - but I was shocked when I started talking to one cute little morena and she said that "I just waitress here, I don't leave with the customers"

I was stunned!

Anybody have any war stories from that place? ;)

My second night out in Sosua, I put 1000 pesos in a hidden side pocket. As I was walking along Pedro Clisante, me and my friend were approached by this 40 year old prostitute who preceded to touch in several different places. I struggled to finally get rid of the woman, who, as I later found it, must have found it and taken it. LESSON: Don't trust anyone and don't lose track of your money.

Ford, I never visited Cowboys, but it was a hoot. Ted, at Rocky's (next door) talked about the guys who could come out and [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) in the street, causing some local commotion. I was there almost a year ago, and Cowgirls was closed, but an establishment was being built across the street.

Yes, DR Monger, I was pickpocketed. Fortunately not by much. The co-owner of the Brittania Pub at the time warned me not to carry money in my front pants pockets. I said yeah, yeah and did it anyway. A girl appeared before me on the sidewalk, speaking rapid Spanish in my ear, and rubbing my crotch. This couldn't have been more than ten seconds.

When I broke away and excused myself, I realized I'd been had. She had disappeared, as had her accomplices, if any. They sometimes work as teams.

After that, I carried any major cash in cargo pockets, above my knees, or in zippered pockets that are harder to get into.

A lady who accosts you aggressively on the sidewalk is after your pockets. Decline politely, and watch your valuables. You already know to keep your passport, etc. in a hotel safe. Some people have suggested you copy the title page of your passport and carry it with you. I never had this challenged in Sosua, but times do change.

It's a great town, if you prepare yourself, but realize that you are in a third-world country, and that an American, Englishman, Irishman, Australian, etc. is a walking ATM machine.

A few years ago when I'd walk in Sosua at night I used to carry my money in the "drop" pocket of a pair or cargo pants, but I used to keep a considerable stack of "peso-sized" pieces of colored copier paper in the top pocket of my pants with the phrase .....

"no es bueno robar el dinero de la otra gente" on them.
(its not nice to steal other peoples money) :D

I'd leave my apartment with 10 of those pieces of paper spend the evening at the Cowgirl Bar, get a "load" on, be rubbed and grinded by at least a half-dozen girls thru the night and when I'd get back to my apartment later there were usually only about 2 or 3 bills left.

My regular girl Anjela, who would watch me everynight carefully cut the paper, write on it, then crumple it and then fold it - thought the whole process was hysterical! :)

Any of you guys have been pickpocketed?A friend of mine was picked this labor day weekend near Dr. Salazar's office.

Older looking Hatian with friend was walking towards us. The girl turned around and started to walk next to my friend. Luckly as she put her hand in his pocket I was walking behind them and yelled to look out for the pick.
As she took the pesos from his pocket I grabbed her hand with the money and then so did my friend. Luckly we were able to get all the money back. It just turned dark and there were no policia around.

I was amazed by how strong her hand was. It took 2 dudes to wrestle her hand open. She must practice her hand exercises during the day.

Unfortuantely I have been hearing more pickpocketing stories in the last year.
I don't know why. It seems it is usually an ugly ***** who can't hoe doing this. There should be a place to rent stun guns for these bitches.

pickpockets, street scam artists and the like are infuriating, i agree. but, at least with these people you've got a fighting chance though. ;)

you can watch your wallet, keep only a photocopy of your passport, wear an inexpensive watch, no jewelry etc and have a fighting chance.

what really pisses me off is when you get robbed and there is nothing you can do about it! nothing! for example some of the scams at the airports (sdq & sti) where the dominican airport security tell you to place all your valuables in the plastic tray and then put it on the conveyour belt.

so there goes your carry-on bag, your watch, your shoes, and wallet traveling off on the belt and you walk thru the metal detector. the metal detector beeps, so they direct you to go back and try again then it beeps again so they stop you and start waving the wand over your body and pockets and waist and all the time tell you not to move!

now, at the same time something in your carry-on bag has allegedly raised the suspicion of the luggage screeners, so they open your carry-on bag and are "rifling" thru its contents while its completely out of your site and as you tell them to stop and motion towrds it you're abruptly warned - not to move!! (¡no se mueva!!!)

you finally get thru the metal detector and retrieve your belongings only to find your wristwatch is gone! everybody is looking up at the ceiling, nobody knows anything, nobody saw anything!

or how about , when you bring enough cash to sdq so you can pay for your room at the hotel hispaniola in cash, but you're told that its "hotel policy" that you give an imprint of a major credit card (debit cards not accepted) at the front desk to cover any incidental expenses or room damage, and that you can't check in without it.

upon returning home (happened to me this january) you pick up 3 voice mails from your credit card co. regarding fraudulent activity on your card.
seems hotel hispaniola is notorious for feeding guests cards into card "readers" and stealing the strips on the back and then selling the codes on the strips to their "homies" up in "da' heights" - washington heights, ny.

i was hit with $930 worth of baby [CodeWord131] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord131), simlac, pre-paid cell phone cards, tylenol, aspirin, hot pockets, red barron frozen pizzas, and a room humidifier in 3 duane reade stores in north manhattan, while i was still on vacation still in the dr!

these weren't pickpockets but at least with pickpockets you've got a fighting chance! what the hell can you do if the police are in on it, the military is in on it, the airport security is in on it, the hotel's management is in on it??!! etc etc.

not alot you can do. :(

I always pay hotels in cash. If they think I'll punch holes in the walls, walk off with their television or even steal a wash cloth, I still insist on cash payment. I tell them that if a staff member wishes to check on the room condition immediately prior to check out, that's fine. I've never even been refused on cash payment here in the USA or Canada. If there is damage in the room when I walk in, they are notified. They can put me in an undamaged room.

For my own security I leave my secretary with a $1,000.00 check that she can cash and Western Union the funds in an emergency. Maybe someday I'll get lucky and have so much fun that I'll run out of lobo money and she'll have to send me that money just to pay additional expenses. Wishful thinking.

I did this on my last trip, I purposely took out a credit card with a very low credit limit lets say 300 dollars. Of course alot of you are saying that isnt nothing but you forget when you are in dr that is something you pay the hotels with that credit card so even if they try to use the card with out yoiur knowledge it would be denied cuz. It already maxed out once you paid for your stay.

I made a mistake. Two hot young chicas agreed to go to Hotel Europa with me for $100. We rode the motorcicletas in the rain.

After about 15 minutes in the room, the chicas started talking very fast to each other. They decided that the fun was over. In a nice way in my poor Spanish I told them we had agreed to an hour. But they said they were all done and wanted their money. The change in atmosphere from sexy playfulness to insistence on dollars was amazing.

I asked them to return to the bed. No, they dressed. "Da me el dinero. " I told them I'd give them $40, not $100, because they quit early. One said she would break my laptop computer if I did not pay up. Utter deterioration. I went downstairs and asked the staff for help. Gradually, so gradually, we got the chicas out of the room.

Thirty minutes later, I hear a knock on my door: "The tourist police are downstairs. " The two chicas are accompanied by a quiet policeman in a white shirt and a loud-mouth dressed in civilian clothes. He says that I have to pay the chicas $120. I don't speak Spanish, and he refused to say anything in English. The hotel worker (a very nice European fellow) explained to me that I would have to spend a night in a Dominican Republic jail if I did not fork up the $120. I refused. I asked for the loudmouth's police identification. He had none. This fact emboldened the hotel worker to state that there was no way that I had to go to the police station at midnight. The two Hotel Europa guard with their rifles surrounded the hotel worker. The chicas threatened the hotel worker.

The actual police officer who had been quiet said "a las nueve de la manana a la station de policia touristica, " or something like that, and pointed at me. They left. The hotel worker and both guard told me I should not go to the police station in the morning.

After morning breakfast, I walk out onto Pedro Clisante street, and there is a police car with the same officer as well as his capitan, accompanied by the two chicas (who looked very tired indeed - what had they been doing all night? ) I tried to explain the situation to the capitan of tourist police. Now the chicas were saying that I owed them $200. The same hotel worker was supportive, but the hotel daytime girl in charge at the desk simply told me to pay off the girls and showed no caring at all. I tried to work out any kind of fair deal. I even offered to screw the chicas for 40 minutes and then pay them the remaining $60. One of the chicas was willing; the other not. The hotel daytime girl did not let the girls go into the room.

The capitan told me to get into the police vehicle. They took me to the Policia Touristica headquarters, and 6 police officers, the two chicas, and I sat together in a little room that was about 9' X 9'. The capitan did not speak one word of English, and the chicas ran at the mouth. The loudmouth in civilian clothes came into the room and laughed at me. I asked him to show his identification, in my horrible Spanish. The capitan told him to leave the room. As the little shit left the room, he made a point of waving handcuffs in front of me.

The chicas spoke a mile a second, and I could understand nothing. In my horrible Spanish I insisted on someone who could speak English. Then I insisted on talking to someone from the you. S. Embassy. My requests were ignored. I tried to explain that the chicas were asking for $200 for 15 minutes of grade-D sex. I made notes in writing to the capitan. Finally I put $60 on the desk in front of the Capitan. He started lecturing the chicas on how they could not expect so much money for 20 minutes of work. Finally he let me leave.

It is not over. I had been trying to get this tall slim bartender named Elizabeth at Meringue's to spend an hour with me. She was very interested in my police encounter. Soon she agreed to an hour with me. That evening she showed up complaining of a headache, and lay on my bed and asked for aspirin. I went to the hotel lobby to get her some water. I gave her a massage. Then she took a shower for 15 minutes. Finally, she came out, and gave me about 5 minutes of sex. Then she said "no mas. " She lay there, and did not even get dressed. I told her to leave. She said that I would have to pay her because otherwise she would go to the Tourist Police, who would know that I was a 2-time offender. She said she could prove that she had been in the room for 45 minutes. After some disgusting negotiation, she agreed to 1, 000 pesos, and the chica fea left my room saying that I had a problema.

That was the low point in a mongering career of four years, with multiple visits to Costa Rica and Buenos Aires, as well as many trips to Canada and agency servicing in the States. Elizabeth seemed to enjoy her scam: she had utterly defeated the gringo and could walk out onto the street with her winnings. Certainly, the little loudmouth police-pretender had collected bribes of one kind or another and passed them on to the Tourist Police. The Capitan finally let me go when he saw that he could not hold me indefinitely without taking some risk. I am sure the chicas did not get the full $60 that I put on the table in front of him.

I did have a few good experiences in Sosua. Little Isabel was a hot chica, very sweet, with a super-round ass. She liked to dance on it, to the Latin music. And I met some interesting Canadians and Europeans down at the beach. I had a good swim and much good food. Then there were two chicas who were cute as can be but totally inexperienced in the sex act. One complained about being sore after about 10 minutes (she was a Santiago student in town with her amiga for the weekend to make mucho dinero). I might point out that she intended to snare more gringos later in the night, even though she complained of being sore. The other one literally did not know how to do doggie, not a clue. The innocence of her was enjoyable in retrospect, but at the time I wanted a sex goddess. She claimed I was her first gringo and that she had only had one novio, who was rapido in the bedroom.

I don't know if the scams are worse in the DR than in Costa Rica, Columbia, and Argentina. But there is no way I will return to check out other Domincanas. I have read about Costa Rican police trying to collect money for chicas, but this is my first experience with police corruption. And that Elizabeth at Meringue's (morning and day shift)! How fea can a chick be! Evil *****, she knew she could get my money without putting out, and she clearly enjoyed her scam.

There is no way I will return to this country.

Sounds like a nightmare!!

90% of the guys that come to the DR shouldn't be there! They should be in Brazil, Costa Rica, or the Phillipines where the sex industry is much more transparent for Americans.

If you don't speak Spanish and don't have the backbone to physically "take charge" of a situation when your chica talks smack, you shouldn't be in the DR.

For me, the DR is perfect. Recently, I cancelled a free flight to Rio, so that I could return to the DR. Rio is beautiful, and I'm glad I did and saw everything the country has to offer (unfortunately, the DR doesn't have Swing Clubs), but I don't speak Portuguese and I can find pretty Dominicanas, who are younger and take it in the ass like a Brazilian. I fuck these Dominicanas throats, slap them around with my dick, dress them-up in role-play sessions, chain them to the bed, video tape them when they suck my dick and I do it for a fraction of the price I would have to pay in the Brazil.

There's a lot you have to learn about the DR and about yourself to enjoy the true benefits of the DR, but after you acclimated yourself to the culture, the language, and the people of the town (Boca Chica), you'll enjoy the freakiest sex you've ever had with some the youngest, prettiest girls you've ever met.

Cheers!

Sorry things went so badly. Sounds like a drag.

Hindsight is 20/20 and all of that, but perhaps if another reader finds himself in this situation -- never, ever trust the police and avoid them at all costs. When complete avoidance isnt possible, bribe them and radically change your locale.

Perhaps you could have bribed the policeman (the silent one in uniform) from the get-go. After that, I would have gotten the hell out of Dodge. Go to POP for the rest of your vacation, or anywhere else really.

Your missed chance was to leave that night. You had already earned the reputation as a mark and can never shake that.

Anyway, sorry it didnt go so well.

Best wishes.

Go to POP for the rest of your vacation, or anywhere else really.Marzo, thanks for your post. In retrospect, maybe I should have checked out that night and gone to POP. I did think of that in the middle of the night, when I couldn't go to sleep. But I decided not to because I was afraid that they would catch me at the airport on the way out of the country. The hotel had my name and passport number, and the police could have forced them to reveal it. The worst thing besides being beaten up (worse than losing the $600 I had) would have been to miss my flight. I was there on a long weekend, and for many reasons I had to be back at work. I don't know: would the Sosua tourist police communicate effectively with the airport exit security people? So I decided I would stick it out and make sure it was resolved somehow before my flight.

I have never bribed anyone in my life: call me naive, that's OK. My fear of bribing is that some sadist could incarcerate me for offering a bribe. I'm probably wrong there -- a matter of inexperience.

I think most guys would have caved in and paid the $80 (or maybe they were demanding $120 and denying I'd already given them $40) at midnight. There were people all around urging me to do so. I am stubborn, and I refused. I got out of the situation by paying only $60 the next day. That is $100 totally wasted, but it could have been a lot worse. There was some satisfaction in knowing that the two chicas had probably been giving their bribes, butts, and mouths all night to all these cops, just to get them to chase me down the next day. The chicas certainly looked tired!

Also I think I was lucky to get Elizabeth out of the room for only 1,000 pesos the next day. She could have scammed me for worse.

Overall, I lost $133 dollars on these two scams -- I've lost more on a Niagara Falls hooker. My guess is that many of us get ripped off one time or another, even though some of us might be too macho to admit it. The biggest problem was not the money. The biggest problem was a fear of what could happen if things escalate. What if the capitan had always dreamed of sticking a club up some gringo's butt? What if something might happen for me to miss my plane?

I need to make a correction to my post, and I can't see an edit button. Elizabeth did not work at Meringue -- rather it was another large bar down the street just a little from Meringue, toward the hotel. The bar is on the intersection of Pedro Clisante and the side street that comes from the tourist police station. Please be warned about this very clever and manipulative con artist.

I posted this to help guys understand what could happen to them. How many other guys have had similar experiences but not posted them? I have enough experience to know that there are some people who will kick you when you are down. That's just one of the things that happen on these kinds of Boards.

Anyway, Marzo, thanks for the comments and thoughtful suggestions. I certainly don't mean to say that everyone should avoid the DR. I do hope you understand why I will not be returning.

I had a similiar experience in Boca Chica but I speak some Spanish, 6'5" and weight in at over 350lbs. These chicas tried to block the door after I paid them the exact sum I had promised, service was poor. They wanted more. I was in some shit hole of a hotel on the main street. I gave them the evil eye, told them no fucking way and said I would call the federalis. I moved them to the side and walked out the door. I saw them all week long on the street. I told everyone including their competitors what pirates they were so the putas wouild starve while I was around.
You have to be street smart with some of these, make certain $ and services are understood and no, no, no money up front.
You are a patient man, I would have found another policeman, bribed him to kick them out of town. Money talks bullshit walks.

By the way, I hate to say this but many times when I bring two in the room the experience is less than what I anticipated because they love to talk to each other. You want a fantasy and they want to bs.

They will lie, cheat and steal for your money.

I also had a Boca Chica girl try to extort money by telling me she would call the police.

Most of the Santo Domingo girls all call on their cell phones and then lie, saying they must go early and not todo las noches, their baby has a fever, blah blah blah.

This is why I would not pay a DR girl for TLN, unless it is at Blackbeards - they have some control over the girls and get rid of the problem girls.

Colombian girls, on the other hand, will stay TLN if you pay them TLN. Most of them prefer to spend the night in a nice hotel room and enjoy the company.

DR girls are different, street smart thiefs. I am not fond of NYC, so I think of them as NYer types.

By the way, I hate to say this but many times when I bring two in the room the experience is less than what I anticipated because they love to talk to each other. You want a fantasy and they want to bs.This is exactly what I was going to post. My biggest mistake was in contracting with two total unknowns. They were gorgeous and 18: the cutest chicas I saw over three days. But one of them was stand-offish right from the beginning. She was giving me all the signals that usually tell me to stay away. But the other one was apparently warm and friendly, with a little jiggling of her very well-developed tits -- these were truly outstanding tits. So I was thinking with the little head. Once they were in the room, it was talk, talk, talk. Clearly they had never done a threesome and the quiet one was uncomfortable being naked and sexual in front of her friend. After a few minutes she persuaded the other to call it quits.

I think it is unlikely that either of them would have gone to the police if alone. But they took strength from each other, and they could corroborate each other's stories.

Mose, like you, I got them out of my room without over-paying. But what would you have done if they had gone to this loud-mouth guy who specializes in representing chicas, bribing police, and intimidation? Your size would not help you.

So, in hindsight, I screwed up at the start, right in the interview. And from there, everything had a predictability to it.

I've had some great threesomes in Costa Rica and Buenos Aires, and I've had some mediocre ones. The great experiences occurred only after I had already spent quality time with one of the chicas, who then helped me arrange the threesome with someone she had already worked with.

Riverm,

First let me thank you and commend you for posting exactly what happened to you on your recent trip. Alot of guys on this board have gotten scammed and flim-flammed in the DR but they like to present themselves on this board as "tough-ass, street-smart" mongers so they never, ever post anything about it.

Welcome to the world of the oldest scam in the world - "two brothers and a stranger" The girls probably knew exactly what they were going to do when they got back to your room, they knew exactly how you were likely to react and when they told you they were going to leave, then when they called the local poice they KNEW EXACTLY who was going to respond to their complaint.

Dígame, the big mouth plain-clothes police officer - was he the girls brother, cousin, uncle? What do you think? ;)

What can you do in the future?

1st, Learn Spanish, this is crucial.

2nd, Do what Marzo said, consider bribing the legitimate policeman. I've done this in the past, but then again I can speak Spanish so there is no misunderstanding exactly what the money is for. If you can't speak any Spanish and you hand a cop $40, he might just put it in his pocket and smile and you'll still be in the same situation you were before. He'll think its a union donation! (lol) :)

Finally, I agree with NPaul1. Maybe its time you consider changing your entire "latitude" I hate to make generalities but I have found Colombian women to be much more agreeable and "business" honest as a general rule. Whether its in Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama or where Dominicanas and Colombianas compete head-to-head in places like Curacao, Aruba or St Marteen - I have found Colombianas to be a cut above their competition.

(of course you'll need Spanish in these places too)

sorry to hear about the problems with you recent trip, :(

18 years old and cute, give me some names and if possible describe them. Where did they hang out? I will be there in a few weeks and would like to talk trash with them. Better yet tell the other putas that these putas are going to drive their business out of town if they keep it up. I did that in BC. I am serious. After my experience in Boca Chica I found a massage parlor/puta house that was just so, so, checked another accross from my hotel and had the best service, balls to the wall you name it. She even wanted to do bbanal after a while but I was sober and thought otherwise.
Unfortuately every ones findings are the same, you have to be more careful in the DR. As as to quality, the Colombians that you meet in Curasao at Campo Allegre are some of the best gf sex ever.

[QUOTE=Ford]Riverm,

Dígame, the big mouth plain-clothes police officer - was he the girls brother, cousin, uncle? What do you think? ;)

He had a big mouth, and the uniformed officer did everything he told him to do. But he had no police identification. I think the guy does this for a living, and the chicas call on him. He is well-known at the Hotel Europa. The nice European guy working behind the desk said that the hotel owner (out of town at the time) had encountered him before and knew that he is very corrupt.

Mose, I picked up the girls in Merengue as they strolled around the bar. Gorgeous girls, one taller and slim, the other with large breasts but still not at all fat. The taller one was Wendy (actually on her cedula, and there can't be too many Wendy's in Sosua, can there?), and the shorter one was called Rosie, but her actual name is Carmen Rosa. My hunch is that I would have had a good time with Rosie if I had taken her alone, but trying to do the two chicas together was a fatal error.

Overall experiece at the New Garden was good. I do like the Europa rooms itself in that they are large , big bed, electronic safe, location. The pool at the Europa sucks and is dirty. The New Garden hotel had some really good guys I met there. The pool was very nice and kept clean even though it didn't really go more than about 5 feeet deap. There is plenty of room on the property grounds which would make for a great hot tub.

Beers are 70 pesos which is kinda on the high end for a Hotel. What everyone was doing was just going right outside the Hotel to the bogee and buying them in "6" packs and putting the beers in the room fridge. If the owner lowered the price of beers to 50 pesos he most likly would sell alot more. Guys rather walk right outside and pay 35 pesos over 70 pesos a beer.

There was a security guard with pisola from 6pm to 6am and i had no problem with him.

On any given day there were about 2 to 7 chicas hanging out at the bar and pool area. i didn't use their services however it's nice to look at while you're chilin at the pool .

The room was a little smaller than the Eoropa's room. Room was clean with 2 beds, cable tv that worked, ceiling fan , and AC unit that worked very well. I was on the 2nd floor so I had a nice balcony over looking the pool. Bathroom toilet flushed well. Did NOT stuff up toloit once !! Shower stall is very small and water presure was average.

In order to turn on the AC unit in the room you must use your room key to turn it on. So there is no way to leave the AC on when you leave the room. Save energy I guess. The thing I don't like about that is that you must now leave the room key in the wall out in the open when a chica stays over. Somthing I don't like. If your sleeping , A Zankie pankie chica can take the key and split. There is a room safe too which was like $2 extra a day with a sepeate key. I like the Europas safe better since it's electronic and you only have to rember a #. With a "key" safe you always have to rember to hide the key when the chica goes to the bathroom. What i do is make the chica wait outside , I go in hide the key then let the chica in.

What is up with the key chain the garden hotel gives you??? thing is huge and is solid steel. pain in the ass to drag around if you go to the beach.
Still 1am cerfew on weekdays and 2am weekends. Kinda sucks.

I would stay at the Garden Hotel and i recommend it highly. Just A few minor changes would make it that much better

http://www.newgardenhotel.net/eng/default.htm

I haven't stayed there, but I checked it out when I was there in September. It seemed nice enough, rooms on a par with the Europa, though smaller and no in-room coffee. The courtyard/pool area was more attractive than Europa, I think.

It's on Dr. Rosen, a little bit farther down from Pedro Clisante than Rocky's and just a block or so from Classico and Sosua Life. Good location.

I was quoted $40/day for one person and $50/day for two, so there may be a $10 chica fee. Gutter Meat can probably clear that up.

It used to be called the Garden Keti.

It's a small world though, later that same night they showed up at Classico in Sosua with some fine specimens on there arms. Thanks for the offer, but I will Pass on the Car Wash. The Owner at Classico advised me any night but a Saturday night, And the tourist police say that they have the juristiction to extend the curfew for my contest. (another words, for some $$, they will let it happen). Nothing like the old DR. After much thought, I have decided to have a Private Holiday party for close friends, and use the finances I would have spent on the Pageant for some very interesting entertainment.

No, I'm serious. I never been to a latin American country before. I don't speak a lick of spanish. Part of me thinks that I should go to Blackbeards, but the thing that concerns me is that there would be a limit of women I could see there. Communication is the key to everything. If I said 1500 pesos or 2,500 pesos in English would most women in Sosua understand me? I'm not a paying member here and I can't pvt message you. I'm going to sosua early than you, but I can meet you on the 8th or later than that. Would most people in Sosua steer me in the right direction if I asked? Also, should I be concerned about going by myself to DR? I read many reports here and DR seems relatively safe, but on DR1 there have been reports of crime.

What I can tell you is that all of the DR is relatively safe. Thats why I spend a few months there in the winter, the freedom of movement which I don't feel I have in my favorite country (Colombia). If you get drunk in public, flash cash, wear alot of gold, buy alot of ***** drinks, than you become a "mark". Once you are a mark, word spreads like crazy. Use the comman sense that you would use in any big city in america, and you will be fine. Be the "man about town", and you will come home with your tail between your legs. good luck, and have fun.

DR Monger II,

I went there for the first time last Dec., I learned a few words of Spanish and I recommend you at least learn the numbers, it will be absolutely invaluable (write them down on a piece of paper and memorize them). It is VERY important that there is no confusion at all about the prices as you always pay at the end for everything (never pay upfront for ANYTHING).

The other experience I had was that the girls come in for TLN (Toda La Noche - all night) or a short time (say 1, 2 hours what ever you agreed) and then they get you off in a matter of minutes (the good ones can blow you off you in 10 minutes, I can tell you they are EXPERT down there). Then they put on their clothes with some excuse to bogger off. There is not much you can do about it (you read about this all over this and other forums). So I recommend always go for a lower price and shorter time then if you like them you can negotiate longer stay or tip them etc. (I found this to be the main biggest problem in Sosua). Oh, and always check their Cedula (ID Card).

As soon as you arrive you can meet up with some experience mongers, they are plenty around and very friendly and welcoming, you will have no problem at all with anythihng else. Have a great time.

I read a lot of those scams on here even ones where the local police were called. I heard that some women leave after a few hours when you pay TLN or request more money. I wouldn't know what to do in the situation being in a 3rd world country and not knowing the language. If they leave after 15 minutes it wouldn't be worth it for me to go to DR. I could get better service in the states. There is nothing worse than a provider that wants to dash and leave as quick as possible.

One of the biggest problems that occurs is miscommunications over time. I don't really take the side either of mongers or of the girls on this, but the simple fact is that if you are going to get the best out of the girls you have to understand a bit about their culture and where they are coming from.

As I posted in the Puerto Plata section, these girls you meet are not licensed professional "providers" and if you perceive them this way, you will be off to a bad start.

They are poor women who nearly always have children and who do not make enough money to support them or to have a few of the things that young women enjoy, like a cell phone, nice clothes, spiffy hair, manicured nails etc., all of which cost MORE not less in the DR than in the US.

When you look at them you see sex, but when they look at you, they see money. On your way to the room to do the deed, you are thinking about getting into their pants, they are already mentally calling their family to tell them they will eat tonight, or buying that cute blouse they saw in the store yesterday.

Your idea that you have purchased them for two hours, or overnight, or whatever you have in mind, is basically meaningless, because they have pretty much no choice but to agree to whatever you suggest regardless of whether they can actually fulfill the deal.

If you have a reasonable knowledge of Spanish, a lot of these problems will disappear, because you can chat with the girl, find out about her living situation, who is minding the kids, how she will get home etc., and work out some agreement with her. Also, if you can speak some Spanish, she will feel much more comfortable with you and want to spend time with you.

Two suggestions to avoid disappointment:

1) Just stick to short time, "un rato", which means just having sex, one orgasm, and then the deal is finished. This avoids complex negotiations.

2) Get to know a girl and spend more time with her, meals, drinks, etc., and she is more likely to treat you like a friend of the family.Spend time with her BEFORE the sex, before you pay her, then she will be in no rush to depart.

3) You don't always have to have sex with a girl right now. You can arrange to meet her later after she has gone home and taken care of business, or you can meet her tomorrow and take her for dinner and dancing before you bed her. Unlike escorts in the US , there is no hourly charge for dining time.

Most of the girls are basically decent and nice people, but obviously this does not apply to every single one. Some are more intelligent, some have better people skills. Like any population, there is a lot of variety, but you in general you will always enjoy yourself more if you treat them like ladies first, and only treat them like bad apples once they have proved themselves rotten to the core.

Great Post Super Tigre, they also call me Tigre/Cassanova/Mafioso down in the DR.....Im guessing we have the same approach when towards chicas down there.

One more thing I need to add is, all girls are not the same. Some girls really care for you and tend to fullfill your wishes more than others. It is a difficult problem to weed out the bad from the good.
I liked the Philippino girl I picked up from LA cafe when she said after 4 rounds of satisfying sex " You picked me for sex and sex only. Before I leave I have to make sure you have had enough for today"

I have a much better idea for you that will guarantee success. I will be down on the eighth. If you western union me a thousand dollars u.s. I can guarantee you photos that will give you a lifetime of enjoyment. As your proxy, I will even have some two girl sessions for you. For an extra $200.00 I would include a video as well. When you send the money just include a description of the kind of girl you like. But if you like heavy ones it will cost you more! To make the package complete send me a pair of your shoes and I will have them shined by one of the local boys. And I think I can round up a six pack of presidentes as well. I will be anxiously awaiting your answer.

P.S. A photo album of Colombia would be nice, I could take care of that for you In January, No problem......

"the one and only", at your service..........

$1200 for a "two-some", a video, a shoe shine and a six-pack of Presidentes?? I've never read a single post on this board before but my I have a sixth sense for this sort of thing - and I think this is a sweet deal! :)

I like a Vida Guerra type - alittle chunky - so tell me how much more that will cost and I'll wire you the $$$ asap!

Btw, is there any chance you can get me a souvenir tee-shirt, and maybe a souvenir shot glass with a Sosua logo? It would make a great keep -sake.

I'll pay up to $60 a piece for each.

talk to you.............

Yes, there is something you can do about it. Like NEVER pay in advance. Try it, and you will be surprised how that cuts down on the percentage of wham-bam-and-dash type of girls.

I never pay in advance, but you try to tell a DR puta (all dressed up and ready to leave) that you are not paying her the full amount she wants... !? She will make a fuss you've never seen, scream and shout and wakes everybody up - read the forum a few pages ago - police and all sorts of scammers, pimps get invlolved. And if you manage to survive all those you got to watch your back every day in the street.

Saying all that I argued with them for some time and didn't pay the full amount to a couple of them (well gave them what they deserved and worked for).

I think generally you should settle for a price that you are quite happy to loose if things didn't work out (in case of a quick service or a bad performance). Bring the price right down to ST, un rato, and take it from there - last time I was only asking for TLN. Well, I don't know but I hope this works better.

Only ST, and if the session was good, I then bring up the subject, and they often agree at a price that is quite abit less than an upfront TLN. At that point they kinda know what type of person you are, and you know the same. Win win.

And NEVER pay up front.

So what if she throws at tantrum? If you have been a good customer and friendly with the security staff (make sure to tip them well!), they won't even blink to throw the girl out! Police? Get them over here! Pimps? Why should the mafiosos get involved in that? Why should they even be let into the building?

Of course, a situation like this is way easier to handle if you are fluent in Spanish.

As to watching your back every day in the street afterwards: you know, if you don't stand your ground and set the limits and become known as a gullible tourist (read: sucker), you might have to watch your back twice as hard every day in the street afterwards.

I do agree with everyone regarding ST. I am no longer a TLN guy, either, but if you decide to do TLN, at least only do it with a girl you already know from ST and can gage somewhat accurately, performance and attitude-wise.

Of course, a situation like this is way easier to handle if you are fluent in Spanish.I think the Spanish is the key, I'm trying to learn as much as possible.

As for being a sucker, due to a few arguments that I had with a few girls and also my rule of only pay 1000 pesos for TLN (perhaps not enough for some good looking ones), I was in fact known as a tight- feasted bastard in the town (well, it wasn't my fault that they agreed to it!). So much so that on the final nights I would stand in Classico club alone and would NOT get hit on once for a full hour? (If you know that club you realize how bad that is.). But perhaps that is a bit extreme, so this time I'll be a bit nicer to them!

Thanks for the advice.

I just spent a couple of weeks in Sosua for the first time. I have been to the DR before, but that was in Santo Domingo and Boca Chica.
I have enjoyed Sosua. It is small, everything is within walking distance. Disadvantage is that everybody knows each other and you become well known in the scene in a day or two.
Once I had "done" 3 or 4 chicas, I kept bumping into all of them in the bars and Classico disco at the same time. And they will all claim me. Just keep bluffing, dance with all of them...and some others....and take your pick later.
Or, as I did, take a chica early in the evening for short time......and maybe another later for TLN.
I stayed in both Rocky's and Casa Valeria at Calle Dr. Rosen.....they don't blink an eye when you come in with a different girl 3 times a day.

Please if you don't know a girl yet, set a price in advance.......once you are familiar with her later on, she will know what you will spend on her....and she will like you to take her to your room again the following days. It is a market....and there are more girls than guys....so there is no reason to overpay. But treat these girls with respect, something they don't get from Dominican men, and they will treat you like a king.

What is the going rate at Classicos for ST and TLN? Also, I read different reports about Hotel Europa. Is it a dump? Or is it at least a decent place to stay? Should one make an attempt to go to Franks place or El Bohen when in Sosua?

Silver Shadow

The Europa is NOT a five-star hotel.

It is, however, a clean, inexpensive (around $45 a night for a single, depending on exchange fluctuation) room with a refrigerator (for your less costly bodega Presidentes), an accommodating staff (who will check in any lady you bring back - for their protection as well as yours), a self-programmable room safe (for your passport and everything but walking-around money).

It is about a five-minute walk (or a 30 DR - about a buck - ride to the center of town), and less than twice that to the beach.

The owner, Diego, is usually on premises, and is helpful with any questions you might have.

I would recommend it to any first-timer, unless someone expects treatment that is unknown in a third-world country. As you may have noted, many mongers make it their home while in Sosua.

The taxi will run you $40 or more to get to PoP though if there is a few of you you can call Frank's and see if they can get you a ride.

Classicos prices vary but 1500-2000 is average for TLN. Though some get for less and others have been known to pay more.

Have never stayed at Eurpoa but friends have and they like it.

Have never stayed at Eurpoa but friends have and they like it.You can take the publico taxi from Sosua to Puerto Plata for about US$1 each way. (25 pesos daytime, 30 pesos at night, unless it has gone up in the last few weeks).

They run all night. The night taxis have "Transporte Nocturno" on the lighted roof sign.

You pick up the taxis at Sosua at the intersection at the top of the road that runs from Classico disco to the highway, or just ask anyone where is the "parada de taxis" (taxi stand).

In the daytime you pick up the taxi or guagua in Puerto Plata at the Central Park "Parque Central". At night time outside the hospital on the highway. (Again ask for the "parada de taxis de Sosua".) In Puerto Plata you can take a motoconcho (30 pesos) to the taxi stand, if you don't know where you are.

If you are going to or from Cristals nightclub/brothel, you can alight or pick up a publico taxi on the highway outside the courthouse at Long Beach. Cristals is 3 minutes walk, or take a motoconcho.

You can also get one outside the gates of Playa Dorada if you are staying at Field of Dreams.

The publico taxi is usually a Toyota Corolla. A full payload is six passengers plus the driver, that is two passengers in the front passenger seat, and four in the back. However, if you are a big spender, you can pay double and have the whole of the front seat for yourself. If you are a really big spender, you can buy all the seats, so it would cost 180 pesos ($6) to buy all six seats to take the taxi from Sosua to Puerto Plata at night.

Or you can pay the US$40 for a tourist taxi.

Or you can charter a helicopter.

Thanks Supertiger, Publico taxi isn't a gua gua is it? A gua gua is sort of like a public taxi? I heard a gua gua was a mini van or van of some sort. You just stick your hand out and they will pick me up? I think I would have a problem with communicating with them about where I'm going or how much to pay since I don't know any spanish:(

Can the publico taxi take you anywhere? Can they stop anywhere?

Also, are there roaches or rats in Europa? Water running well?

The publico taxi is called a "carro" (car) and works pretty much the same way as a guagua, with the same fare, so they are interchangeable. The carros run all night, but the bus-type guaguas don't.

A publico taxi going from Sosua to Puerto Plata will drop you where you like in Puerto Plata, within reason. A taxi from Puerto Plata to Sosua will drop you in front of the supermercado, opposite Canto del Delfin (Song of the Dophin) on the main road.

I'm not aware of roaches or rats at the Europa. I have stayed there many times. The odd mosquito will make an entrance if you leave the door open. It is a good idea to take some mosquito repellent, because if you are sitting in bars or restaurants at night, they have a tendency to go for your ankles.

One would have to check the guest register. You can ask. The Spanish words are cucaracha(s), and raton(es) (which covers both mice and rats).

I would not worry too much about not being able to speak Spanish, because the people there are used to ignorant tourists. And look, if you are planning to fuck their women, you need to brush up on your sign language at least.

The water at the Europa runs reasonably well. Sometimes you have to flush the toilets two times. There is hot water round the clock.

Should one make an attempt to go to Franks place or El Bohen when in Sosua?I would not bother. You can find everything you want in Sosua. El Bohen is a clip joint and Frank's place has seen better days. Both of them pay commissions to taxi drivers, so that means that of whatever you pay a girl, the first $500 pesos comes right off the top for the taxi driver.

In Sosua you will find all the girls you want, and then some. Night times at the Merengue Bar/Classic disco is the best hunting ground, because here you will find a lot of "semi-pros". These are girls who do it now and again, rather than every day, and you will probably find them more interesting than the girls who hang out around the bars all day. There is another place halfway between the Europa and Merengue Bar/Classic that is called Seacrets. You can't miss it, as there are girls hanging over the street, but it seems to me that the quality of the girls is mediocre.

Anyhow, as soon as you arrive in Sosua there will be girls trying to nail you, so don't worry. Anywhere you go they will find you. You are the prey, they are the hunters.

but is more than adequate for your first stay, and very convienent. stay away from the gua guas. the sosua-puerta plata transports (toyotas) are a valid alternative to the high priced tourist taxis. but for god sake, buy all the seats and get there quicker and without smelling like the other 6 farm hands stuffed in the car with you.

Its cool you're asking all the right questions, but to be honest, there is nothing like just diving in feet first and getting your feet wet in the environment. For a newbie, I would recommend literally staying in Sosua, and if you meet some fellow mongers, maybe doing a group trip to Cabarete, Playa Dorada or Puerta Plata.

Everything you need is in SOsua...good food, good beach, and some casino action...and BABES. People make the mistake of doing too much in a short time, and I think that erodes people's experiences. Stay in a place like Europa or Club Residencial or New Garden Hotel...all walking distance to action, food, and beaches. In DR, all you need is a clean room with AC, TV, and a fridge for beers. Save to fancy clothes and jewelry for home...T-shirts and flip flops are fine. Learn some basic spanish from some tapes, and you're good to go. Be stern, but respectful to the chicas...dont do anything stupid like multiple babes at once or get too wasted and you'll be fine!

I've been to DR 7 times in last 3 years, and everytime, I've met cool dudes who I've chilled with and mongered with. Your first time wont be your last, and it will surely be a blast...

Well traveled mongers,

You all seem to be very knowledgeable regarding the pleasures of the DR so I come to you with my rookie question. Everyone has so many opinions about both locations but I would like to know your genuine opinion comparing the two.

Keep in mind certain factors for me:

- Tirst time in the DR. Been to Rio and had a blast.

- Birthday celebration with 2 buddies (I'll be 30)

- I prefer fair skinned/brown skin women not too dark

- Less than avergage spanish skills (my friend does speak well)

- Arriving late February

- Current reservations (2/22-3/1) at bbs jacuzzi suite and penthouse

- Hear good things about classico and would like to go. Hear good things about la passion and franks place. Are these mongering locations doable from bbs without breaking the travel by taxi bank?

- Any suggestions on hooking up with a local guide to assist in get around, club negotiations, translation services. I'm sure some con artist would gladly take my money so I would prefer someone with some history. Plus I don't pay up front. Their loss.

Thanks for any thoughts you can provide.

With 2 other guys and maybe one or two others from BBs wanting to do the run it is not too expensive - say $5 a man each way or get a guy for say $50 for the evening and let him have a beer or two with you - and go for a van if you can arrange it. That way you can do all of the stops in a night... start at Pop - Frank's and La Bohemme - then head to Sousa and stop at Passions say around 11pm and finish the night at Classicos - here later gets you better negotiations on TLN....

uptownspcif your preference is for lighter skinned women, you will have less choice in the dr, however there are many woman who are morenas with european features. however, even when their features are european, their tail ends are distinctly african, so if you are looking for saggy butts, you are right out of luck.

frank is no longer associated with "franks place". the current proprietor is clueless. el boem is a waste of time and money.

if you are arriving in late february you have plenty of time to get your spanish up to speed. you can get a set of 9 cds of learn in your car spanish from amazon for only $30. half an hour a day and you will be semifluent by end of feb.

avoid local guides. many of the dominican men who speak english are criminals who have been deported from the us.

blackbeards is a good place, and you will meet people there who may include local expatriates who have retired to the dr and who have nothing better to do than drink and *****. they also have cars.

chicas make good local guides, but they are not much use at finding other women for you unless a threesome is required.

Your first time wont be your last, and it will surely be a blast...Good advice, but I would hold the flip flops because the sidewalks are pretty rough and you get some heavy rain in the winter months.

Beach type clothes and sneakers are OK for the daytime, but for going out in the evening you will impress the chicas better if you wear something like slacks, polo shirt and leather shoes. This is a tropical climate, so you don't need much, and can be pretty informal, but you will impress the chicas more if you look like a man of substance. Also a good idea to get a good haircut and get your teeth polished before the trip.

Many people don't care about this, but all I can say is that if you want good sex, then women in the DR are no different from women elsewhere in what turns them on.

Look, the sex in the DR is fantastic, or can be. Newbies do not appreciate this. They think getting laid with a pretty girl for $40 is the greatest thing, but you can also have the best, most passionate sex of your life too, if you play it right, sex that you could not get for $1000 in the US.

This place is a paradise within the wonderful Emerald City of Oz. They have moved to a new location, which is conveniently located, and beautifully designed. It's on Pedro Clisante - the main street - a few blocks away from town.

The girls are very friendly, and will one by one approach you as you are having a Presidente at the bar, and if you want to turn one away without hurting her feelings, it's "quisas luego" (maybe later). The girls are attractive, although there seems to be a high turnover. They play about on swings, beside the bar, while they are checking out their possible clients.

Should one ring your bell, the price is fixed. Unless recently changed, it is $900 DR (about $27 at current exchange rate). That includes a sensual massage and a bareback blowjob. They are talented, and this usually only takes about a half hour, as their "massage" has gotten you ready for the end game.

If you want a REAL massage, M&M (up near Banco Popular) is excellent, but don't expect any sex. Their specialty is massage.

A silver-tongued dude could possibly entice any one of them into an after-hours session, as he could possibly with a "Passions" girl, but they risk their jobs if they meet clients after hours.

I've gotten blown, and even fucked, in the above parlors. Most of the others are rip-offs, and you should make clear (in Spanish) what you expect before you strip and give them yourself to play with.

Carry a rubber if you are the cautious type. As happened with me, a girl might get carried away. I don't - I suppose I'm just old-fashioned.

I usually give the girl a $200 DR tip ($6) if she swallows my come. They have always seemed satisfied with that.

I hope this helps your planning your budget to Sosua.

I'm heading to Sosua for the first time early January. I was wondering what the clubs and bars are like on a Monday or Tuesday night. Do the chicas go out regularly on the weekdays? Also does anyone know if the extra $3 for daily breakfast at the Europa is any good or is it at least edible? Can I use US dollars for everything; girls, bars etc. Thanks!

Using the local currency is generally best... most restaurants and clubs won't take US and the girls always seem to work from a lower conversion rate so DR pesos get more!

Last year during the Superbowl I stayed at Hotel Don Antiono for about 25 bucks. This time would like to stay at a apt for maybe a bit more. I've seen them advertised in the real estate offices. Can any body reccomend anything? I love the semi pro and regular girl action here.

I have been a patron of La Passion since the beginning, and I have nothing but good things to say about the establishment.

There is a high chica turnover but management is constantly on the lookout for new talent.

The propina for the chicas is something that I have noticed that the chicas are starting to demand.

2 years ago everything was included and most of the superstars put their backs into the massage and happy ending.

Now you will have to find the diamond in the rough and expect to hear "Propina para mi" at the end of your session.

Carpe Diem.

I read some reports on DR1 message board that there are riots and a few deaths after the death of a public official. Is Sosua safe now? Is there more rioting?

Hi All,

Have been lurking for awhile. Lots of good info here. I have seen the suggested girl friendly hotels in both Sosua and PP I ll be heading down to DR in January 07. It seems most of the hotels suggested are not on the water. Does anyone have any Hotels on the beach that are Girl friendly and are at least a 3 star hotel.

Thanks,

I just got back from a few days in sosua yesterday. Last week one of the top drug cops was shot 48 times. From what the locals told be he was a honest guy that looked out for the people. He recently made a huge 250K kilo bust that got the pissed off the big guys. His friends set him up for the killing. There was a big march on the highway last Friday protestign his murder. I was going east so traffic was moving, but I feel sorry for the poor soles driving west behind the demonstrators! Traffic was backed up for a couple of miles! I was told a few other cops were shot during the weekend too.

I was in the bar during the day watching the news and all the locals were engrossed by the coverage. The bartender and security guard were actually crying.

Nothing looked out of the ordinary at night on the main strip (although it was my first trip to Sosua and really can't compare). A few chicas said it would be dangerous and nobody would be out but it looked fine to me. I don't know how much policing is normally on the strip, but I didn't see much.

MCI actually just got back from DR last Sunday from a 10 day trip and the last couple of days were terrible. Trying to drive past Charamicos was dangerous as people were protesting and rioting. Burning tires in the road and blocking the roads to POP. They were also throwing rocks at some passing cars. Its stopped me from going to Mangu my last night for safety reasons. DR is now in my past. Time to move on to Colombia and Brasil after 15 trips to the DR.

Hi, everybody.

I'm new in here and this is my first report. Sosua is my favorite place on earth beside Switzerland where I'm from. But well enough about that.

(hope my english isn't that bad)

I was in Sousa several time (last time in June) now I will be going back there on the 16. Of December for one month. I will stay in Hotel Orchidee which is really a nice place cus its also on walking distance to all the bars and discos.

Here is the link from the hotel www.hotelorchidee. Ch. But sorry I have made the side only in german right now but check the pic from room (Zimmer) aren't this gals are just hot? Well I find them not in Sosua. If you like to know everything about that Hotel you can ask me as well.

When I wanna get a gal to carry home, I only ask for the price and usually not for how long. I guess its better when she ask for how long that you say for a hour or so. I got the expierience with women staying over night, that in the morning they are faster in there cloths as you can open your eyes and wanna leave, so better have your fun for one hour and sleep save and peacefully alone afterwards. I usually pay for my pleasure between 500 up to 1000 Peso. Oh well I know some gals and they know me. In June I had one gal who came to visit me mostly in afternoons in my hotel and I can tell you the BBBJ she gives can drive someone mad. I paid her all the time 500 Peso and she never watch or counted how much I have given her. Sometimes in the afternoon when she has seen me sitting somewhere, she came over and ask me for some money. I told her okay but later she should come and visit me in the room. Which work perfectly.

Well as you said her to speak some spanish can help alot and to threat them nicely too. My spanish isn't that good but I try to speak with them and learn more. Sometimes I just offer them a drink but tell them, that I will not take her home, usually they didn't have any problem, when you say that at the beginning. Its nice to hear the stories.

Some of my addvices. Don't pay in addvance, don't try to reduce the price when you allready at home, even if the game wasn't that good, just think okay thats happen give her the money and send her away. This leaves out of problem from police or joolo or so.

This are may expierience and I never had any big problems over ther.

So if someone needs help or a travelguide for Sosua during my time I'm dear just send me a pm.

Hi Marc Anthony,

well the Hotel is cheap and so are the rooms. Not a big comfort and also not so big. But there is a refrigerator und cable tv inside. I like it cus its really close, walking distance to the discos and bars. no need of a moto concho at all. its quiet. well there are no security but so u can come in and out with gals and there is no problem. The Hotelprices are okay so far in june i paid 20 dollar per night. but during high season they will be up to 30. The Hotelmanager is a older german man, but he didn't speak english. The good thing is, that he will pick you up from the airport and brings you back too, and also overs a free welcome and goodbye drink there. He is also the owner of all the beach toiletts/showers and we u stay in his hotel you can use them for free. The hotel by itself didn't have an pool, but for me i don't mind as the beach is not that far. Some rooms have airconditions for 5 Dollars Extra.

Well as i said i like it cus is close to center and didn't have to care about airport transport. Its really quiet and thats what i like. After a full partynight.

I guess the manager has no problem for americans and from other country as long as the keep up the quietness at night.

So well thats all i can say for now, any other question just ask, or if anyone likes to c a room during his holiday over there in december, just contact me, since i will be there from 16. till 16. of january.

Have any of you had any experience with the apartment rentals listed on the Sosua board? I had a three day stay at BB's a couple of years ago and I think I am more of a soloist than an ensemble player. I will rent a car (Idrive in Manhattan every day) so transportation will not be an issue. Thank you for sharing your time and experience.

How would one get out there...are there any intra-DR flights...how long would a drive be from say Sosua to Punta Cana?

Marc Anthony
12-13-06, 00:40
http://www.takeoffweb.com/ has daily flights from POP to Punta Cana for $149.00.

Caribe tours bus line will take you to Santo Domingo but you'd have to take a smaller bus line to Punta Cana from there - a long day on the bus.

If you want to really take your time you can take Gua Guas to Samana then the ferry across samana bay and more gua guas to Higuey and eventually punta cana - probably best done over 2 days because you don't want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere at night.

If you're going to punta cana why not fly directly there?

Marc Anthony
12-13-06, 00:51
Driving would take 6-8 hours and it's worth searching posts about driving in the DR before considering renting a car at all. That would be a major cross-country adventure passing through Santo Domingo. The Samana ferry is not a car ferry and would only carry a small motorcycle with some hassle.

And I love the new curfew. These girls scramble after midnight. They are really ready to talk bargain. And I love fucking for three hours then still getting a good nights sleep. Going to sleep before the sun comes up is great!!
This past weekend I found quality in the disco to be near late 1990's quality. I was shocked after reading reports here. I was prepared to break out my "big"black book. But so far it has not been needed. I hope the quality does not disappear near Christmas, but I am sure it will as always. Hope to see some of you, I will be here until about 15 days into the New Year.

They couldn't care less if you have a reservation or not, if someone comes to the front desk to buy a room, they sell it. If you show up with a reservation, they say they don't have it.

There are numerous small hotels that you can stay. The best is to pay in US $. You get a small discount and you won't get screwed on the credit card exchange rate.

Other hotels are The New Garden, on Dr. Rosen & Hotel Residential, just up the street from the Europa. Both chica friendly and about the same price as The Europa.

Well I met up with some old aquaintences at the bar below the disco including Tampa B and the Merchant Marine!! J and I had several options brewing when my phone rang with an old time favorita. Seems as though her and her new roomate wanted to come over from Puerto Plata for a pajama party. So I never made it upstairs to the disco. But I will get an update from the guys and post.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that the bottom does not drop out on this good run as we approach Faliz Navidad! Those of you who know me well know that it is safe to say that I am very Picky. If Fantasy is happy with the present Quality it is more than a safe bet that most of you will be. But this can change in a minute as you long time sosua expats can verify.

I am planning a holiday party with some very special "Fantasies" planned. I will post details in the next few days. Of course all of you will be welcome, and will only be expected to bring your imagination. With my retirement coming in 2007, and my enormous latin american project with my partner (Ford from this Board), this will most likely be my final winter in the Dominican Republic. I look forward to telling all of you about our project we call "Club Paradise", in the upcoming months.

Pictures of the pajama party to follow, but don't expect to see any pajamas!!

Not as strong as I would have liked. Alot of illegal immigrants (if you know what I mean) from the other side of the island moved in. But I still think everyone could have found happiness with a little effort. The curfew has brought the rising price oF Ass to a hault. Great prices can be had a half hour before closing. I will try to keep you guys who are trying to decide on a holiday trip or not posted on the latest. Club X reopened. This makes four active discos in town, plus all the make believe discos on every corner. With the curfew, and the different locations it is fun just to watch these girls jump around trying to make the right play. Also I have found that many of the Bartenders head for the casino directly after work to spend all their tips. So this is now a real option for hunting after all else closes..................

The rates are cheaper for a 4 night stay than a 1 night stay. Also, if you pay in cash they give you a small discount. The security there is decent. They have cameras at the entrances and at different places at the hotel. They also have a security guard carrying a shotgun at night. I found the personnel there helpful. Also, if you run into any problems, they will try to help you. The safe they have is a numbered security safe instead of a key. It makes it a little safer than regular safes I saw at other hotels.

When I was at Classicos and Latinos I saw mostly black women. I don't have anything against this. I saw only a few caucasian or light skinned women (I'm assuming 2-3%). I'm not sure if this helps anyone. I'm not into black women too much, some of them there had amazing bodies though. When I went into these clubs I could hardly find something that I would be interested in.

Santiago has a higher density of lighter skinned women... but this is the DR - not many women of European descent working the streets... they are part of the families that have money.

You're going to spend the night in a deserted airport in Santiago. Around 7-8 AM, you'll be able to get a taxi to Caribetours (don't pay more than 500 pesos - verify this before you take the taxi). The bus to Sosua is cheap.

The bus stop is in Charamicos - you'll need a taxi or a motoconcho for the short ride into Sosua.

I hadn't been to Sosua since summer of '04. First let me say that I am thankful most dudes aren't very particular or I would either have had to work very hard or pay premium for decent talent. I was able keep the prices at mininum, thankfully but it was no where near the ridiculus pocket change I was paying in '04. The initial asking price was out of sync with quality of the talent but the partying was great. Definitely still one of the favorites.

Its nice over here in Sosua bad some girls are getting bad more and more. As I still have fun with my girl which is visiting me during timetime in my room I also shaking around with other girls.

Yesterday on the beach I meet this pretty haitian girl. At the beginning she was really nice and we had fun together in the bars at the beach. But as she was drinking some Cuba libre she was changing her mood. I wanted take here later as I told here so and was willing to. But as my friend has but 200 peso on the table she was taking it and didn't wanna give me back. Okay its no problem the money, but she said the the money was for the time I spend with here on the beach (pago para tiempo). We started a fight about it and she said she will call the police and so. As the girlfriends of my friends was talking with here in creol, she was shocked and has given the money back.

So when I meet a nice girl on the beach bring her home and have fun and don't stay to long on the beach with her, as you may get in the same trouble.

Here is the picture of that girl so be carefull. Maybe you will have even more problem with here at home too.

But anywhy its xmastime and any of them looking for money to go to there family in santo doming.

So I wish to everybody nice xmas and happy new year. I will stay here in Sosua till 16 of January.

Hasta luego y feliz navida
